Should I ever have kids, I now feel I will be able to survive the zombie apocalypse with ease! Funniest book I've listened to in a long time Any parent NEEDS to listen to this book!!! It's a quirky type of funny that most people of my Oregon Trail Generation appreciate. I will be listening to this over and over. Pardon me while I go look at the comics and charts that come with the audiobook. Surprisingly good I expected this to read like one of Unicorn's tweets. But it is so much more. I am now armed to survive the zombie apocalypse. But I was also entertained even though I do not have children. I'm so glad the author read the book himself. I loved that each chapter covered different aspects of potential apocalyptic scenarios. It kept the book fresh and laugh out loud funny. Hearing 7-year-old Betsy read the ending was extra special. What a great job she did. I will re-read this book. What more can be said? As good as expected I found this book to be amazingly funny. That being said I don't recommend listening to it all in one go (which is what I did). The story is good, and James does a good job of narrating his own book, but after about two hours or so I found myself wanting to listen to something else because it was losing my attention. I think this is just due to the nature of the comedy, or maybe the writing style. I don't know I'm just a dumb listener. I have followed James on his Twitter account for quite a while and have always loved his humor. I am extremely happy I purchased this book, and I highly recommend it to anyone that has or is expecting to have kids. While I don't have any kids of my own I may have to adopt or borrow one so I can justify buying an umbrella stroller. When the Zombie Apocalypse eventually finds itself at my doorstep I feel that I will have been sufficiently prepared thanks to this book.

I understand now why my daughter acts the way she does sometimes. Great details and explanations. It is a reference book to understand in some logical way the new generation and where they get there motivations in life I personally have recommended this book to at least a dozen people to read!! Realistic parenting help The audio book is extremely helpful. It balances the interests of the teens and their needs for healthy development towards independence, and the parents' needs to stay sane in the process. Worth it and GREAT. I have read the whole book. I have troubled teens right now and this book gives wonderful advice. I would recommend it to any parent. The writing flowed so well together that the author notations were unnecessary. Overall, I give this book an A good resource for boy-moms and dads. Great Resource for Parenting Boys The book devotes entire chapters to what a boy will learn from both his mother and his father, which I thought was very interesting. This makes it so clear why it is important for a son to have both a mother and a father in his life. Another chapter discusses the differences between how boys develop and how girls develop. This book discusses how to create a Biblical journey for your son from child to man, and I think it is a great resource for any parent who desires to raise their boys into men of God. The best info on raising boys!! I bought this book because I have two wonderful boys and want as much wisdom as i can get to raise them. This books teaches much on how the world systems has been built to destroy who God intended them to be. It opened my eyes to be more vigilant. I am hopeful that my son's will be all God has intended. Buy this book If traditional values bother you, this isn't the book for you. I thought this book was very insightful and gave many helpful tips to mothers of boys.John S. Roberts is unapologetic with his controversial stances on tough issues and I find that to be a refreshing quality. I like that he doesn't shy away from difficult topics but rather addresses them head on. I will most definitely be recommending this book to others. Excellent overview of the specific issues This is a great book. I read it quickly because it was very interesting until the very end. john S. Roberts n has good old fashioned, biblical moral and standards that I completely agree with. I am only 33 but I see such a decline in today's society in parenting and would recommend this book highly.
