That’s what Drinking With Authors is all about! Join us over drinks to discover the backstory and journey of authors like Tamara Lush, Connie Y Harris, Kenya Wright, Jonathan Maberry, Dan Wells, Jeffe Kennedy, Heather Graham, Melinda M. Snodgrass, and so many more. We interview authors all over the spectrum including those who just started their journey with their debut book and those who have scripted some of our favorite television and Netflix shows! Tim is an active investor in media and technology, and serves on multiple corporate boards, including Marginal Mediaworks and Dragonfly Therapeutics. In the not-for-profit sector, he is the founder of The Adamma Foundation and co-founder of World Connected. He served for twelve years as a Trustee of SCI-Arc and 29 years as a Trustee of CalArts, eight of them as Chairman of the Board. Author of The Shipwright and the Shroudweaver Drink of Choice: Laphroaig whisky 🥃 RAFAEL TORRUBIA is the author of The Shipwright and the Shroudweaver, the first novel in an epic fantasy series from Gollancz. They have won a number of awards for their writing and poetry, including Writer of the Year from the National Gallery of Scotland, the Deirdre Roberts Poetry Prize and multiple shortlistings for the Bridport Prize. Their previous prose and poetry work rests with Bloomsbury, the National Gallery of Scotland, Jupiter Artland and Sword & Kettle Press. An Italian translation of The Shipwright and the Shroudweaver is forthcoming from Ne/oN Libri. Like all recovering historians, they have also worked in wine, whisky, and at the National Museum of Scotland. When not writing, they can be found lost in a peaty whisky, a muddy allotment, or by a wide, dark river somewhere in Perthshire. They'll be at Cymera Festival 5-7 June, Station Books Tunbridge Wells May 30th, and the paperback launches November 26, 2026.
