So he still got that one tube working. And he had water just flowing into that ear, apparently.
E
So who's a man at that age, too?
D
Yeah, buddy.
E
I ain't wearing that band.
D
I ain't wearing that. Brother ain't got to wear it. I ain't wearing that. Now he's like, I think he would reconsider now.
E
Yeah.
F
You remember how bad it was?
E
Yeah.
D
I think we could get him to reconsider now.
E
But when we tried to get you to wear that band.
D
Oh, man. And the problem is he don't want nobody but his mama, so.
E
Yeah, that.
D
Yeah. Which means I can't really do nothing. I said I just got to listen to it. But, you know, whatever. It's fine. It's all good. Hunter, are we rolling or you just don't have the clock rolling? Yeah, but now we'll make it. We'll make it out of it. It'll be fine. It'll all be good.
E
You know what happens to people? That alone, I'm a foal.
B
That 8. Aluminum foil.
E
Yeah, they sheet metal.
B
Come with me now. What?
A
Yes.
B
I was giving you. I was giving you. Nice one.
D
That's a good one.
E
People that eat alone on foil, they sheet metal.
D
Yeah. That's a good one. That's a good one. That's like. You know why you can't be mad when you fall on your driveway?
E
Why?
D
It's your own asphalt.
B
It's your own asphalt. I guess so.
D
Yeah. Yeah.
E
See, you can't be mad. You can't be mad you put the bump there.
F
I'll be mad about it.
D
You start cheating metal and
F
you got problems.
A
I feel like we're trying.
D
That's so good, though.
E
He was talking about alone.
B
All I say is, hey, don't give up your day job.
D
Oh, what are you talking about? Those are. Those were the first ones that got audible laughs in here.
F
That's true.
D
Those were good. Even from our studio audience.
F
We do have an inch. Studio audience.
D
We might have to add them to, like, our opening routine when we go speak somewhere together. Yeah, just start right there. Let everybody know the gloves are off, Man.
E
All right, then that.
D
All right, we'll see y' all next time.
E
Right here.
D
Oh, man. No, we. I don't even know what. Johnny D Still on vacation. I did. See, I know he's sad because he had to watch that game at the beach.
E
Oh, that's why I ain't talking to nobody.
D
Yeah. I ain't heard from him since, so.
E
Laying low. They was there, so. Hey.
D
Yeah.
E
Good.
D
It is what it is. But anyway, so he didn't.
E
He didn't answer his question. How you rooting for next?
D
Yeah, you need to know who's left in it.
E
Norway. That's where Paul is from. She's a Viking.
D
The Norwegians.
B
Well, I'll tell you, that's.
D
That big dude.
B
I don't even know what they. Well, I don't even need to go any further.
F
All right.
E
As far as you're going.
B
Vikings are going to be.
E
Well, they're out.
B
Hey, there you go. They got to. Oh,
E
I got the whole crowd there.
B
The whole stadium. Got everybody involved.
E
Yeah.
D
That is a pretty cool celebration, I'll give them that. My hat.
F
The Viking.
D
But that messy feller, he's good at soccer.
B
That was one of the better movies I've ever watched, was the Viking movie.
F
What was that?
B
I'll say that.
D
Which one? What?
B
Honor Douglas. And I can't remember the other guy that started.
E
Dirk Douglas.
F
That's been a while.
E
That's in black and white.
B
Well, no, no. What was so cool about it was,
D
is I got to look it up now.
C
I don't know.
B
Put this guy in a wolf den of wolves.
E
Yeah.
B
You know, that they kept hungry. Well, they didn't have to put it. He just said, hey, throw me a sword.
E
Oh, my.
B
Well, Kirk Douglas got his hand cut off because he. He threw the Viking a sword.
D
The High is talking about a movie from 1958
B
when that. He caught the sword.
E
Wow.
B
He just gave the warrior yell and jumped in there and killed about 10 wolves before they got him.
D
It does have 77%.
B
They did get him.
E
What's that name of it?
D
The Vikings.
E
The Vikings.
B
Oh, that was a good one.
E
I'm gonna watch it.
B
It was.
E
Oh, it's in color. They put it in. Oh, yeah, yeah.
D
There you go.
B
Who else started?
E
Kirk Douglas. You know, he raced motocross.
D
Who else was in that movie? Kirk Douglas. Tony Curtis.
E
Tony Curtis.
D
Ernest Board nine. Borg nine. Yeah. Janet Lee, I guess, was the woman Orson Welles was.
E
Wow.
F
Yeah.
B
A lot of good start.
E
That was all born back in the 1900.
B
It was a. It was an excellent movie.
D
It's a Technicolor epic adventure film.
F
I'm gonna have to watch it.
B
I don't remember. I don't think if it may have been Tony that jumps in the. In the yoke arena with all the wolves.
D
It was based on a novel by Edison Marshall. There you go.
B
It was a.
E
What would you been in the Viking days? What would you have been dead?
F
Oh,
B
I probably been the rower. Well, that was back in the day when there was men.
D
Oh, boy.
E
That's right.
D
Men were men. He says.
B
And anybody that was yo.
E
Because.
D
Hey, Hunter, do you follow Joe Blow movie clips? That seems like something you do. You're not. You're a big movie guy.
A
I did not.
D
Have you seen this movie?
A
I have no.
D
Are you going to add it to your list? I will. That size spoken so highly of it.
B
No. Dirt would have made a good Viking.
A
I have a 1959 Joe Dirt would
E
have made a good Viking.
B
Yeah. Joe Dirt.
F
The Dirt Viking.
D
I'm so confused by that statement.
A
I just got a movie in the mail called Some like it Hot and it's from 1959.
D
Really?
A
Yeah. And I'm really excited to watch it.
D
Hot. Do you know who's in it? Is there a reason you chose it
E
or is that when that song was written?
A
It's about. It's about. It's about two guys trying to, like, flee the mob, so they dress up like women to do it. And I. And it looked really funny.
D
It's a comedy slash musical and it's 95 on Rotten Tomatoes.
E
I'm out.
D
It's a classic Billy Wilder comedy about two male musicians, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. You remember them? Sigh. Tony Curtis or Jack Lemmon.
B
That'd be a good one.
D
Yeah.
E
Musical. I ain't much on musicals.
D
It's got Marilyn Monroe in. That's why you're watching. There is this ain't the one where she walks over thing and her dress blows up.
B
Right? Yeah, that was. That was a low budget.
D
Low budget. That's low budget with Marilyn Monroe or you being sarcastic? I don't know. I wasn't alive in. So I'm not real sure.
B
You make quite a stir when she hit the scene.
D
Did you have a crush on her?
B
No. Especially when the dress blew up.
D
Yeah. Did you have a crush on Marilyn Monroe growing up?
B
Well, she was a. She was a hammer.
E
She was a hammer.
F
Hammer time.
E
Can't touch this.
B
You can't touch. Yeah, that's right. That's what she said. You can't touch this.
D
Okay, there you go. Well, she was blonde, so I didn't know. Yeah, but y' all had. Y' all had tv, huh? Did y' all have atv?
B
Oh, we didn't have tv, but we had a TV was available at the store.
D
Oh, that's where you watched all but
F
your mom and dad had a TV later because that's where he would watch the Groucho Marx on that tv.
B
Well, no, no, because there was two scenes that the best comedians ever, Groucho Marks and Red Skeleton. And both times all you heard was he did something. One of them did something. And then all you heard was a dud. My dad is laying on the floor and he looks like he's having an epileptic pit.
E
Oh, laughing.
B
Yeah, because he was laughing. And look, and I mean, I'm talking about running tears. It was water running out of his eyes and he's.
F
That's his laugh.
B
No, no, I'm serious. And hey, Dan, the sound coming at him, he just.
D
No, audible.
B
Audible sound period. He's shaking all over and water's running out of his eye. I'm on fire today. Hey, I fired up.
D

E
Let me check the script. Where's it at,
B
Gar? That's it.
D
That's funny right there. I don't care who you are.
E
I tried to see what he'd be with a bike. And let's see.
B
The raiders from the north.
E
Raiders from the north.
B
That's what they was called.
E
How did they know to go south?
D
Where else you go
E
north?
B
Hey, they went out to warm up.
D
Yeah. Where else you got.
B
You know, because they come out of the Arctic.
D
That would be wild back in them days.
B
Well, no, hey.
D
Not knowing anything existed down there. You just take off. You know, Talk about faith, man. Just take off.
E
And them boats wasn't big days in. I mean, they were big, but they wasn't big enough to go out on the ocean. Like they.
B
Oh, yeah, there was a.
E
Was. But.
B
Yeah, there was the way they were.
E
Design but great.
B
That's why I said, hey, that was back when men were men.
E
Yeah. Because you. You,
D
I guess you had no fear because you didn't know. Nothing to be scared of.
F
Yeah. You had had a lot of guinea.
B
Most of. Most of the, you know, they like seven foot tall and, you know.
D
Yeah.
B
Like £400.
D
Yeah. But the age of exploration would have been a wild time to be alive.
F
Yeah.
D
Yeah.
B
The Vikings always ate very well.
D
Did they?
B
Oh, yeah.
D
What'd they eat?
B
Everything. They could be everything that was edible. They killed it and ate it.
F
Yeah.
E
That's kind of like when that's back
B
one of the days you had big wooden tables and there Was a feast on it.
E
Yeah.
B
If you wanted a piece of meat and it was down to the table, you just stepped up on it and stepped in the mashed potatoes.
F
And where does he get this from?
B
Okay.
F
You just step on everybody's food.
B
Ain't nobody gonna tell you. Oh, I don't do that. Because if it did, they get the head chopped off with that.
D
Like, we just left the Vikings and went to Elmer Fudd for a second.
E
Yeah, boy say, get a rabbit.
B
Them boy didn't play.
D
That's wild time.
F
Well, I'll tell you what. Last night we all went to go eat at the warehouse.
D
I mean, hush puppies marking the guys
F
from Idols aside before we got there.
D
It's the idea.
F
He got there first and he. And he ate hush puppies first.
B
I already ate one box. One. One basket before they showed up.
F
Where does he put it?
B
He could just keep.
G
He can do it.
B
I ate four one time. We was there somewhere.
E
Well, no.
D
Wow.
B
They just kept coming at night. Then when I got my steak, I couldn't eat. But just like three bites of steak.
D
Because you had a loaf of bread.
B
Yeah. Four baskets.
E
Ah, he can eat them. That's what people ask me. Does that eat all them?
B
No, no. That's like cake. She said, I hate your guts. And I was. Kate, why do you hate my gut? She said, because I've been around you for 50 years. And she said, I fed you like you was a hog in a pen trying to fatten. Yep. And she said, you're still just a skinny rail.
E
Yeah. You stand up and stand sideways. Take his tongue out. He looks like a zipper, but used to. Now he looks like a frog when he stands up.
F
He wouldn't. And he wouldn't get no dessert. I tried to get him that little belly. No butt.
B
Oh. I was like, I can't believe I ate seven of Phil's hamburgers. That's with everything on them.
D
That's incredible. Yeah. Where do you put it? Do you pocket?
B
Oh, no.
E
You ought to get in that dog eating content.
B
Legs are hollow.
E
That's what you need to do.
D
You need to put him in there. Well, he can't eat everything, but he can't eat everything like that. There's only a few things. He can just chow down on 60
E
or 70 hot dogs.
B
And one of them is Southern made donuts.
F
Yeah.
B
I ate two or three dozen Southern my donuts before they even cool off.
E
Well, that's because they come out of that grease and they're like cotton candy.
B
I'm serious.
E
That was the secret.
B
Put them in your mouth and then swallow it. Put them in mouth. Swallow it. Because they just. They melt it in your mouth. We stop, and everybody would get a dozen. When? I'll say everybody, that would be the kids. Dad would get a dozen. Bomb would get a dozen, and all the kids get a dozen.
E
The sign had to be lit up, though, fresh.
B
And they would eat.
E
They was cooking.
B
I would eat it for him. Left parking lot.
D
Really?
B
Oh, yeah. He'd be gone for a left parking lot.
D
I'm a husky feller, but I just don't really care for donuts. They ain't never been my poison.
F
I do love them.
B
Other maid was. Good grief.
D
Yeah, yeah. They ain't ever been my poison.
E
I don't know.
D
Now them kolaches, they make her now with them sausages wrapped in that bread. I'll eat that. Oh, I'll smash him.
B
What I have got. I think I. You know, at least Christine said, tracy is going to bring me some br.
C
What?
D
Did you get her to get your hot dog?
B
She ain't come up yet.
D
I know, but you going to get that roll.
B
She's ordered that the hot dog right now
E
we got.
F
I gotta get me one now. You got one.
B
I got the.
D
Did yours come with a little neon sign that says hot dogs? That's the one we got.
B
Well, it was, what, $200 one?
D
Yeah, yeah.
B
All I know is it had about eight of them. And she said, which one you want? And I said, well, what do they call? She said, well, there's one there, 329. I said, no, Martin bought one for 200, right.
D
At 200 bucks.
B
And I said, hey, where's that at? She said, right there. She said, it's got a cover and a place for the buns.
D
Yeah. It's got a warmer. Yeah.
B
And she said, what are you. What. What is wrong with you? Why do you want. Yeah. Hot dog? I said, hey, me and some friends are going
F
every Sunday night, and we'll
B
probably play poker, too.
E
There you go.
D
I said, hey, oh, yeah, Your poker game.
F
Perfect.
B
Yeah.
D
And you can charge for.
F
For hot dogs.
B
Now, just say. Just cut up a bunch of bottles of mustard.
D
Well, you just assign everybody. Do you bring the weenies, you bring the buns, you bring this stuff, and then y' all eat hot dogs all night while you.
B
That's right.
D
Hey, you want to get real exotic? You can get little baskets online, too, that come with wrappers that have hot dogs printed on them.
F
Oh, that's funny.
D
Yeah. And they even Make a little full package if you want one to go.
E
There you go.
F
I'll do that when you get.
B
She was asking me, I swear. I said, hey, how many? How many? Was it whole? No, she said, why you asked it? I want to know how many it hold. So. Yo. So she pulled it up, blew it up a little bit. Eighteen, I said, that'd be enough.
F
Yeah, good.
D
That's right, right? Yeah, it holds you 20.
B
What are you going to do with 18 hot dogs? I said, I'm going to eat them.
D
Yeah, watch me. Yeah, yeah. Just watch me.
F
And we're going to film it.
D
It is.
B
I may have just a movie night. And hey, what we will have is hot dogs in the movies.
D
It is. It is a hilarious, unnecessary luxury you could get.
E
You can. I could throw some deer sausage on there, huh? And when I go fishing in the mornings, when I come back, they'd be ready.
D
Oh, absolutely. Or when you go hunting, they could.
B
I was telling us this way, I said, you wouldn't even have to worry about me. I said, I'll have my hot dogs.
F
Rolling it all and rolling.
E
Rolling,
B
I said. Then all I had to do was turn on Rowdy Ace was rawhide.
D
Yeah.
B
Rolling, Rolling.
C
Rolling
B
is rolling.
D
Hunter, do you know why people started calling hot dogs Glizzies?
E
No, Glazy.
D
Why? Is that what everybody says on the. On the Instagram world?
A
I. I don't know, man. My. My dad started calling it that, though.
D
Glizzies.
F
Yeah.
D
Yeah.
E
What that hot dog.
B
Oh, you should have been our man.
D
Our man with a computer ain't here. So I guess.
B
No, you should have been there when Phil used to have hot dog night.
D
Oh, I was.
A
Yeah, I was there. He had hamburger nights, and that was just as good.
E
This was gourmet hot dog.
B
Going to a restaurant and having a seven course meal, right?
E
Because, hey, it was going way hot
B
when he put out the spread for a hot dog deal. Oh, you could, you know, it was like you run it through the garden because he'd have like, put these tables together and he'd have everything fixed. And you start at this end, and by the time you got to the other end, you could pick this hot dog up and eat it. You had to eat it with a knife and a fork.
E
Yep. Too big.
B
Because it was too big because you done filled this sucker up with sauerkraut onions. I can't even remember all the stuff.
F
How many of them could you eat?
B
Huh?
F
How many of them could you eat?
D
You couldn't eat many of his if you built them, right?
B
I was fixing if you built them with all. Run it through the garden. No, you couldn't produce.
E
So we went from hot dogs to Glocks.
D
No, it started as a Glock. Originally it was a sling for a handgun.
E
I thought y' all talking about hot dog.
D
That's what I'm talking about.
B
A Glock come from.
D
Well, a Glock is a brand of firearms. Oh, like a Glock.
B
Okay. 17 round Glock.
D
Well, they make a 17, but 17 society.
B
Why did we go to guns?
D
I don't know. It said the nickname likely came from Glock evolving into Glizzy. Okay. Because that's. Oh, and then people started joking that a hot dog looked vaguely like the shape of a handguns magazine. That's not true.
B
What was the joke about? Is this a hot dog or is it or what Legs. A sandwich or something.
D
Oh, is a hot dog a sandwich?
E
It is. It's got bread around it.
B
What in it got.
E
It got bread around it.
D
Around 2019-2021 on TikTok and Twitter, Lizzy shifted to mean hot dogs got to kill videos of people eating hot dog spawn memes like Glizzy Gobbler.
B
Hey, do you know that President Trump is a king of TikTok?
E
Huh?
B
He's the number one. He's. He's number one on Tick Tock.
D
Is he?
B
Hey, that's what he said on the news the other day.
D
That's what he said. Yeah, well, he's number one at a lot of things.
B
Yeah, well, no, I'm saying that's a
F
poll that just keeps going.
B
He said it was shocker. Of all shock. He said I'm number one. Tick Tock.
D
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I wonder if he knows that. That doesn't necessarily mean it's a good thing.

B
Hot dogs are 3, 42, 44.
D
Yeah, it just ain't gonna work. That ain't it. It ain't there, boys. Yeah, I don't get it. But so. So if someone says, I'm grabbing a couple of glizzies, you bring to the party.
B
Well, I. I thought it was a hot dog person. I bought a hot dog.
D
I brought some glizzies, baby. I got some glizzies.
B
What did you bring? I brought a Glock.
D
Slang words, aren't they fun? What else has got a weird slang name? Hunter, you got anything? Trying to think. Now I'm interested in root words.
E
Hunters and shiners.
D
Well, yeah, that ain't slang. No.
B
You know what I brought?
D
What?
B
Marilyn Monroe.
D
Marilyn Monroe.
E
Marilyn Monroe.
B
I brought my own entertainment, buddy.
D
Glizzy is slang. Originally had nothing to do with hot dogs. Huh.
F
Still don't.
B
Yeah, right.
G
I don't know.
D
Just at that deal, like there were some younger people there and they said they were grabbing glizzies and I was like, what?
E
Huh?
D
Yeah, I guess I'm too old.
E
You need to problem. You need to train them.
D
I just said dogs rolling. I mean, that's all I thought it was.
B
Sign them.
D
Train them.
F
He said sign them to train them.
B
Train them.
D
Oh, I thought train them up in the way.
B
They should go find them. I said that my. Maybe when we was getting ready to go catfishing.
D
When did we get a picture of John David in here? A burnt picture at that.
E
And where did it come of?
D
A tiny Bass, I bet you he brought it.
F
I saw him bring it in. He's like, if y' all don't mind, I'm gonna put this here.
D
Hunter, do you have anything to do with that?
A
No, he brought that in with the clock.
E
Yeah.
D
Oh.
A
From Faith Family Freedom.
D
Oh, okay.
B
I can't see it very good.
E
There you go.
F
You ain't missing nothing.
D
Well, I mean, there's a picture of me, which is weird enough, but the one, I just find it odd that his is in the middle and size over here facing an angle. I find. I feel like the. That should be shifted in the decoration, but in the decor, you know, put the feng shui. You put the main thing. The main thing kind of is what I'm saying.
A
There's too much stuff over there anyway.
D
Is it?
A
Yeah, it just gets lost.
D
It's become a pretty eclectic.
B
Always put Betty White in there.
D
Betty White? Yeah. Here we go again.
F
Where's Dolly Parton? He had one of her. What happened to it?
D
Yeah, Dolly Parton trying to take on BUC EE's. You said that.
B
I didn't know that.
D
Got her. She got her new truck stop. So what? Dolly Parton, Tennessee and truck stops. I saw one. I did not feel the. I did not feel the need to go see them. It did not look as inviting as Bucky's. So, you know, I just stuck with a beaver.
E
Boy, it's hard to beat that brisket sandwich.
D
Oh, that's hard.
F
Food is so good there.
B
I got clip all the chocolate covered almonds.
D
I couldn't get the boys to get none of that. You know what I left there with?
B
What?
D
A semi truck with a forklift. All they wanted was a little semi truck. It had a forklift on it so they could load and unload pallets.
E
There you go.
D
I was like, you little rascals.
F
You should have fed them something.
D
I tried. They didn't want. All they wanted was that semi truck with a forklift. So. Good job, Bucky's. You clipped me on that one.
B
Get the truck, Daddy with the forklift.
D
Yeah, well. And the trailer don't even lock in. So they move it about 4ft and the trailer falls off.
F
The last time me and you and Godwin went to the BUC EE's in Texas.
D
Oh, we smashed and we killed that place. We did. We did that. We did that thing. Yeah.
B
I stayed in the truck.
E
I don't know.
D
Look there. Somebody called me. I'm trying to silence it. What's up, Kevin? I'll call you back. I'm Speaking at a deal for him in August. So I guess that's why he's calling.
F
Yeah.
D
And make sure I'm still coming.
F
I don't like my phone too intrusive.
D
Yeah, that's Martin.
F
Want his phone hooked up.
D
Well, Johnny D can drag his screen back and forth across there on his computer, so we don't know what he's looking at half the time. I'm just hardwired straight to my phone to the tv. Yeah, yeah, no, that's a. That's a deal I got coming up in August, so. Oh, man. The. I don't know what we're talking about.
B
Oh, man, what a plan I ain't got.
A
You need some topic ideas?
D
Yeah. What you got anything?
A
So the YouTube comments have been fun to read.
D
Yeah. How did the people like Rebecca?
A
Rebecca did great.
D
Yeah.
A
Episodes one out of ten, every comment is positive.
D
Yeah. That's awesome. Yeah, she was hilarious.
F
When did y' all have her on?
D
A few weeks. A couple weeks ago, I guess. Yeah.
F
You know, she called me when she was like, this is Rebecca. I was like, okay, what Rebecca? She was like, willie's daughter.
D
He's a hoot.
F
Yeah. And Saad did a video for one of her friends.
D
And we ain't even. We ain't even run the best line out there on the social media yet about the disappointment, how she was an Asian disappointment because none of her. None of them became doctors.
A
It'll be posted today.
D
Okay. There we go. No, she was great. I'm glad. I'm glad they liked her. That's good. Yeah. What comments you got, though?
A
Do you remember when I sent y' all the comments of yoga?
D
Yeah.
A
Oh, I figured that would be an interesting topic. I never heard that before in my life.
D
Yeah. Sigh. You know, folks got mad at us because yoga apparently is anti Christian.
E
Yoga apparently.
D
Allegedly. I thought it was just stretching.
F
That's what I thought.
D
I didn't know it was. What is it, Hunter? What did they say it was? I can't even remember now.
A
That it was a Hindu practice.
D
Downward dog.
B
So yoga was an Antichrist?
D
Yeah. Let's go with that.
F
There you go.
D
That's the buzzword.
F
Oh, don't stress like that.
D
Yeah.
F
Get excommunicated.
B
Who would have heard? Yoko was Antichrist.
D
Yeah. Apparently Johnny up on that table doing downward dog was a big deal. They could have just said they were offended and didn't want to see him like that.
E
Well, who was saying that?
D
People in the comments.
E
Really? Yeah.
D
Y' all was up there doing yoga, breaking, breaking rules.
B
Yeah.
D
Because it's Hindu.
E
Well, I've been forgiven of that.
F
I just find it fall down and land like that. Yeah, you just. You just do.
D
Yeah. I had no idea that yoga was anti Christian. Hey, we can check out what Chat says about that too.
E
Yeah, let's check. It is yoga, because let me tell you, you can sure do things you couldn't do before after you do it for a week. Really? Oh, yeah.
D
That's a thoughtful question.
E
Pick stuff up off the floor.
D
The short answer, yoga, big thing. The short answer. Yoga itself is not inherently anti Christian, but whether a Christian should practice it depends on what kind of yoga is being practiced in their conviction.
E
Well, yeah, that's just like watching tv. Yeah.
D
I don't change nothing. That's like watching Game of Thrones. Or not, you know? Those who avoid yoga point out that yoga originated within Hindu spiritual traditions. Traditional yoga can include practices intended to unite the Hindu concepts of the divine. Chanting. Did y' all chant?
E
Now we listen to Lauren Daigle.
D
Okay, so that probably helps.
E
That is my battle.
D
Or honoring Hindu deities. They believe participating with spiritual influence can conflict with Christian worship. Insight passages such as Exodus, the people
B
that are really into that. Yeah, they're. Wow.
D
View modern Western yoga primarily a stretching, breathing and exhale. I didn't know yoga was anything that wasn't. Stretching, breathing and exercise.
E
That's what it was. You go up there and try to do what I was doing. Some of it I couldn't do.
D
That's what I'm saying. I mean, that's what I thought it. I just thought yoga's biggest deal was like increasing flexibility.
B
Those that are really, really into that, they got out of the body experiences and all that junk. Yeah, yeah.
F
If you're just doing it for.
B
I didn't. I didn't believe it until I run up on a guy that we. Literally. Somebody went and got a big needle because they. They had said, you know, he's in the yoga position on top of a double bump.
D
So basically it seems like anything in life, however, whatever your viewpoint is and why you're doing it, I mean, anything can turn.
E
Oh, yeah.
D
Anti Christian.
F
Yeah.
D
Not just stretching with a bunch of. You know, that's. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard, man. Get out that legalism.
F
Yeah.
D
If you believe that's a problem. None of us are making it. That's all I'm saying. None of us are. We ain't. Heaven is empty. Like they're going to be two folks up there in the song.
B
There's Going to be a lot of people that are really in for a shot if they make it to heaven.
D
Gang wardens.
B
Well, because there's going to be people there that they said, oh no, that's
D
what I'm talking about. They're going to be surprised to see who is. Is there.
B
Oh no. Yeah.
D
And they're also going to be surprised to see who isn't there.
B
Yeah.
D
And it's going to be like, oh,
B
he didn't make it.
D
Huh?
F
He must have been doing yoga.
D
Yeah. Must have been stretching.
E
He's a closet yoga doer.
F
Closet yoga doer. I think that's the name for it.
D
Yeah. Closet yoga doing. But hey, good news is we're all reformed.
F
That's right.
B
Well, I was going to tell the story.
D
Just like theology. We're all reformed, man.
B
The people that are into that, I'm telling you that, you know, because a lot of them have out of body experiences.
E
I never had that then.
D
Folks that are into that ain't hosting a camp for now. Young girls whose fathers were lost in the act of service. That's what I'd say.
B
Like they.
D
Come on, man. Come on. Like, come on. Like if that's what you gonna get, then we certainly can't run half of what we talked about today.
F
No. And that's a great ministry that John and Paula went to support.
D
Yeah. And we've gone back.
F
We've got a great ministry that is in town with us today, Idols aside. And I know you guys have met Mark and some of those guys and sigh has done some events for Idols aside. I was telling us last night he wanted to have Mark on the show for a segment.
D
Yeah, we can do that. Yeah. Mark, you sitting in here, you might as well come on in here.
F
I'm gonna give him my chick.
D
Oh, you. He gonna go there. You got them John, Chris camo pants on. You get them at Zara?
C
No, I actually wore those doing yoga this morning.
E
Oh,
B
they wear yoga pants.
D
Yoga pants. I wasn't trying to step on your toes with a yoga talk, man.
C
I'm learning a lot today about yoga and hot dogs and Marilyn Monroe. I mean, it's been good.
D
Yeah.
E
Oh, it's quiet to learn.
D
And what if you hunter, what if you eat a glizzy doing yoga? Where does that get you other than a belly ache?
A
Yeah, hospital visit.
D
Yeah, yeah, that'd be a problem, but golly. Well, Mark. Welcome all. Ma'.
A
Am.
D
Look, we love what you guys do. And in a short version, I'm going to let you tell what you guys do instead of our interpretation of what you guys do about idols aside and what y', all, what y' all are doing, man.
C
So yeah, our heartbeat is really fighting for those that can't fight for themselves. And that's fatherless kids and single mommas and my heartbeat, you know, for this ministry is to see armies of people, you know, fighting for these kids and moms and yeah, we do that by serving kids in the schools and public schools. We have hunting lodges in a few states and we try to get the local body church nationwide to love these people because most of your single mom is in this country today don't go to church because they don't feel like they fit. We wanted, we want them to fit.
B
Yeah. Look, I know, I know your story, but I want you to tell these people your story. How did you get into this?
C
Well, the good Lord, you know, he called me into it. I grew up in central Florida, had an amazing mama. She was 15 when she had me. And my parents got divorced when I was a little kid, so I was pretty much raised by my mom.
B
You without, without the whole family?
C
Yeah, just. It was me and my mom for a while. Sure. And got. I was blessed to go play college football at App State. That was a long time ago, boys.
D
That's four days. Good.
C
Yeah, that was long. That was way back. But that's when I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. Was my sophomore year of college.
D
And well, I had a way different college experience.
C
My first two years did not. I can't talk about my first two years of college.
B
I was very like you.
C
We can't talk about my freshman. Freshman and early sophomore year. But the last year and a half it was, it was on for him. But after college was. Was blessed to get married to my better half. That's Becky. We've been married 24 years actually this past week. 24 years. We celebrated.
D
Well, congratulations on that.
C
Yeah, very blessed. And worked in the corporate world for a while and, and, and God came to me in a dream and, and, and back at the end of 2008, he came to me in a dream and he said, I want you to use everything I put in your life, you know, from growing up without, you know, your dad there and college football experience and what you learned in the corporate world. And he said, mark, I want you to take all that stuff and go about my business. And so I'm just trying to be obedient to the Lord and, and serve those don't. That don't have an earthly father and Point them to a heavenly father. And. And that's what we do.
D
Are y' all nationwide like now, or is it growing, spreading?
C
How's that at a grassroots level? We've been serving in Lakeland, Florida for a little over 18 years and have a hunting lodge in Lake Wales and Paducah, Kentucky. We started the second location there nine years ago.
E
Okay.
C
And my wife and I and our girls, we are moving to Alito, Texas, just west of Fort Worth, in four weeks.
D
Okay.
C
Start a third location. And that. We're doing a few things different. Texas, we're really trying to grow through the local body church, some larger churches there and some Christian colleges to try to get more people active in that area, but really trying to create a model that's more duplicatable for churches nationwide to say, hey, you know, we can. We need to support fatherless. We need to support single moms, and we want that to become the culture of every church.
D
Okay. That's cool, man. Yeah, that's.
C
We do hunt a lot. We have. That's. That's fun stuff, too. But that's just the left hook. That's the ice and on the cake.
D
Yeah. Well, that was always Phil's ministry about hunting because you have a captive audience. Where are they going to go? And you got a gun.
B
You got him in a duck. You got him in the duck plan. And you the owner of the boat.
D
Yeah. You're the owner of the boat and you got a shotgun. Where are they going? Yeah, they got to listen.
B
You're going. You're going to hear this whether you like it or not.
E
Yeah.
C
That was a lot of these boys. We serve boys and girls that are middle school, high school age, and they get to go on hunts of a lifetime, kill big whitetail bucks, exotic animals, get to catch 40 pound bass.
F
Right.
B
Well, most people, Biggins. Okay. Most people like me. Okay. I was privileged. And. Or you grow up with a mom and dad.
D
Yeah.
B
And siblings.
D
Yeah. The nuclear family unit stayed.
B
The strength of a family unit. Okay. Is. It's priceless.
D
Yeah.
B
Okay. Because you have mom to go to and dad and siblings. Okay. And you can learn from all of them. And I look at people because when I'm out speaking, I said, okay. Me personally, if I was told, you're diagnosed with cancer and I'm going to die, it wouldn't bother me. Turn that around. When I had kids, if I had taken my daughter or son to the doctor and they said, hey, yo, he's got two months to live.
D
Yeah.
B
He's got stage Four. Cancer. Well, if you don't have a father and mother and a family unit, who do you turn to in that time? Especially if you don't know the creator.
D
Yeah, yeah. 100%.
B
Yeah. And you know, and these guys are doing that for children that have lost their dad through first responders, military, all this other stuff. Because this world we're in is wicked.
C
In your rural communities today, you know, I would say West Monroe. Monroe, yeah. A rural community. About 45% of kids in rural communities don't have a dad. Know, in large cities today, it's up to. It's over 75% really. So that, I mean, you look at the world today, you know, when you pull God out of the picture and then the family, the home's broken, everything else falls apart and, and so our goal is to teach these young men how to be real men.
D
Yeah.
C
Vikings, as we call it. Right.
D
Bring masculinity back.
C
What we're trying to do.
D
Yeah.
B
You know, all my, all my life. Okay. You know, you know, people had. Had the misconception that, that men don't cry. Yeah, they do. Idiot. That's human beings.
D
There's a bunch in here.
B
Well, yeah, you're. As a human being, if you, if I, you know, if you cut me. That's why I hate racists. If I cut you and your, your black, your skin is black, you're going to bleed red.
D
Oh, I didn't know where we were.
B
If it's me, mine's white, I'm going to bleed red, y'. All. And, and look, God created mankind.
D
Yeah. All in his image, everybody.
E
All.
B
We're all in his image.
D
Y.
C
It's been sweet to, you know, a lot of these boys and girls we serve. You think everybody knows how to push a zebco button fishing pole and catch a fish. And we get so many 15, 16, 17 year old boys that are never, never fished that we get boys sitting around the lodge and we throw some burgers and hot dogs on the grill and they've never, they've never thrown a burger on the grill. Never. Never made a campfire. And just the little things that we take for granted, you know, we're teaching
B
these big deal to them.
C
The real big deal too. So.
D
Yeah, that's awesome, man. Yeah. I mean, yeah, all of us, you know. Yeah. I guess that's just stuff we took for granted because we had parents in the home and they were active. Not just parents, but they were in the home and active and grandparents and then the whole family unit stayed together. You Know as long as they could on this earth.
B
So you got to think about it. Here's a young man, say he's 14 years old. If he don't have a father,
E
he.
B
He will not. He will grow up not even know having. Having no one to look. Look at to see what, you know, what is it? What does a man supposed to do?
D
Yeah. Yeah.
E
They won't know.
B
Yeah.
D
Yeah.
B
As he going to learn how to be a. Be a man. Well, there ain't no man there.
D
Yeah. And be a leader and. And all that.
B
Hey, I'm supposed to take care of all of you.
D
Yeah. All the things that we as men are called to do. The society has told us we're not there to do that anymore, though.
E
Yeah.
D
Look where that guy.
B
That's worse. Society is wrong and lacking.
E
Yeah.
D
Look where that got us. Yeah. I wonder. Yeah. What could have ever gone wrong, right? So I got two little boys that's going to know what it's like to be a man, whether they like it or not. And now, man, I love what y' all are doing, man. That's. That is. It's just being the hands and feet of Jesus, right. We're called to take care of the widows. And I mean, they did it all the way back in those days. So whether the. The father's not there because he's no longer this earth or whether he's just not there because he's not there, they all need servant in that regard. So that's really cool, man.
B
Well, that's like I always look, because if you're a male and you're married and you have kids and you have boys, there's a big difference in having a son or a daughter.
C
All I got is girls. Even my dog's a chick because I have a daughter.
B
And when I was in the military, okay, so I felt I wasn't there a lot. Well, my wife would. Every time I'd get down on myself, she'd break out the photo album. She says, yeah, you wasn't there. She said, what's that picture there you're looking at? I said, well, I'm in a. I'm a six foot Easter bunny now.
D
He'd be a five, ten Easter bunny. Yeah, he kind of shrinking on us, you know.
B
But y', all, because you forget, okay, it ain't the time you spend, it's the quality of time you spend with your siblings, your daughters and sons. But having a daughter and a son is night and day.
C
We spend a lot of time with these kids and we Take them hunting and have great times in the hunting blinds. But I think the thing that changes these kids most of all is giving them the roadmap for life. And that's the gospel. And. The gospel. And Jesus is what changes people.
B
And. Well, no, no, because I've changed the way I think about it. You know, I tell people now, I said, hey, why don't you go take a walk in the woods with God? Because when you read about. Okay, Adam and Eve and God used to walk in the cool of the evening in the Garden of Eden. And God did that was asking them things like, well, how's your day been going? What did you do today? So when you think about that, okay. Because like right now, right now, Oregon has got a bunch of people together to sign to try to stop me and people like me from shooting a deer or going and catching a crappie out of a lake.
C
Yeah.
D
We probably won't open the Oregon campus just yet.
B
How ignorant is that? Because I got. I asked him a question. Hey, it's evident you haven't walked in the woods with God in his creation.
D
Yeah.
B
Or you wouldn't be thinking what you're thinking. Yeah. It's not about.
E
They probably didn't have a father.
A
No.
B
No. Well, that could.
E
That's why. That's why I'm so important.
D
Yeah. That's why I say, look where it's got us to today, man.
B
Well, some of my better communications with my father was in a duck blind.
D
Oh, absolutely. It certainly wasn't fixing something. Me and dad kind of. We butt heads on working on repairs together. We both knew that wasn't a place for us to be together.
B
This is me growing up. I thought my dad loved Phil better than me until I got in the duck blind with him one day and I actually brought it up, and he. He busted out laughing and got tears in his eyes. He said, no. He said, you won't understand what I'm going to tell you right now.
D
Yeah.
B
He said, you will when you get married and have kids of your own. He said it wasn't that I didn't love you and did what? He said, oh, I know. I gave Phil more time than. Than I gave you. He said, but you didn't need it. And he did.
D
Yeah.
B
And once I had kids. Yeah. Their knees come above yours.
D
Oh, absolutely.
B
Yeah.
D
And I got two of them that couldn't be more different.
B
Yeah. Well. Which is a great thing.
D
Oh, yeah. 100.
B
We was all the same. How. What a boring world this would be.
D
Unless we's all like you.
B
Well, hey, well, you'd have a lot of fun if you let me. Unless you're going to go out laughing. I'll put it that way.
D
Oh, no. But thank you for coming. Oh, look, we always close with a Bible verse. Do you all have one that's like the. The flagship of idols aside, or.
C
There's a lot in scripture about fatherless, but my personal life verse is Jeremiah 29:13. You shall seek me and find me when you give me all your heart.
D
There you go.
C
You know, I think the. For the Lord to do big things in our lives, we got to go all in full.
B
I was like, Jeremiah, what, 29 11?
D
Yeah.
B
You don't know the plans I have for you. Not to harm you, but to prosper you.
D
Give you.
B
Give you a hope for the future.
C
The good one, too.
D
Yeah. Amen. It's almost like he was a prophet.
E
Yeah.
D
Oh, man. All right, well, we'll see y' all next time right here in the duck call room.
E
We're out, Sam.
Hosts: Si Robertson & Justin Martin
Guests: John-David Owen, John Godwin, Jay Stone, Phillip McMillan, Jacob Mayo, Mark from Idols Aside
Date: July 21, 2026
This episode’s theme is classic Duck Call Room: laughter, stories, and Southern boy camaraderie, but it spins hilariously off the rails when the crew addresses a controversy kicked up by YouTube commenters—the accusation that yoga is “anti-Christian.” Alongside that main thread, the guys deliver the usual steady stream of hunting tales, childhood anecdotes, food commentary (especially about hot dogs), quick-witted banter, and some genuinely uplifting moments regarding the importance of fatherhood and mentorship for young men. They also welcome guest Mark from the ministry "Idols Aside," who shares about supporting fatherless youth.
