Hi, I'm Nancy Dufresne. Welcome to our podcast channel. We know you'll be blessed by today's message. It's an honor and a privilege always. You know, we've been talking about, really the revelation of righteousness, knowing who we are in Christ. And, you know, when symptoms get on my body, I know that there are a lot of scriptures that people stand on, but the one that I stand on for healing is Galatians 3:13. I've been redeemed, I've been taken out of, and I've been put into by purchase. I've been redeemed from the curse of the law, and everything under the curse has no hold on me. Not poverty, not sickness, not depression, not weakness. I use that verse for everything. And this is the way the spirit of God revealed that to me, is that, you know, when you. Cause we've gone to other countries, and when we go to other countries, though we're not a citizen there, we are subject to their laws and their ordinances. And when we come back to America, we're not subject to those restraints anymore. And when you've been taken out of the kingdom of darkness where Satan rules and he's able to do whatever he wants, and you've been translated into the kingdom of light, he has no right anymore on your life. And, you know, it took me a long time to really get that, several reasons, but one of them was the first year that I was saved. I wasn't in a local church, and I'm feeding on the Word, but it's only really a supplement to what the local church provides, that constant flow of the Word and the affirming what you need to know and what you need to live in. And it's a lifestyle when you become part of a local church. So I truly believe that the local church is really what rescues people's lives. Because I was saved, loved God, but I'm not living the life that I should live because I'm not being taught. And so the teaching is a premium. But, you know, you don't get the revelation of who you are in a day. It takes time. And so there were many struggles that I had that God was endeavoring to get that light to me. And when the light comes, when you begin to realize who you are in Christ and the righteousness that's been purchased through you, aside of your actions, you come into it, it's yours. There is a different posture, and you deal with things differently. But even though you're saved and you don't have that Light, you deal with things differently. That's what I want to look at really the effects of your posture as being righteous, but your posture when you don't know that you're right. Amen. Let's go to 1 Kings chapter 17. Last night is, you know, every different ones were ministering. You know, you're praying in tongues and you're agreeing. You know, the power flowing for these people. And God began to deal with me two areas of scripture. And you know how God does, it's like, you know, you're engaged, then all of a sudden he starts talking to you about something. And on the way home, when Pastor Nancy said, you know, would you do the morning service? I said, yes, ma', am, you know, be honored to. And it was a no brainer. Go up and look at these verses, these areas, because God wants to say something. Amen. So I'm gonna do my best to get out what he once said. Amen. In First Kings 17 we know that this is the area where the prophet was being supernaturally sustained. And then that place dries up and God directs him to a woman that is going to be a part of sustaining him, of God bringing provision to him. And he was on assignment also to help her. But I wanna just go down to verse 10 where it says, he arose first kings 17:10 in the just King James Version so he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks. And he called to her and he said, fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel that I may drink. The first scene when he comes on her is, she's gathering sticks. Now she's not gathering logs, she's gathering sticks. She has to be bowed over very a lot to grab a stick. You know, log is a little higher, but you gotta be down low. And so he sees there she's burdened, and obviously she's burdened. She's, you know, she knows within herself she's about to die, her and her son. And I'm sure that the care of her son was the real burden, that there's not enough. Amen. And so he calls out to her, you know, he says, he called to her and said, fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel that I may drink. And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her and said, bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thy hand. Now it doesn't record that she said anything when he told her to get him A drink of water. So the first thing that comes out of her mouth is response to, he wants some bread. And notice what she said. And as he goeth to fetch it, he called out to her and said, bring me, I pray thee, a little more so of bread. And she said, this is the first thing she said. As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake. She said, I don't have anything. But that really wasn't true. I don't have anything. Really what she meant is, I don't have anything for you. As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but a handful of meal in a barrel and a little oil in a cruse, because there's ingredients to make a cake. And behold, I'm gathering two sticks that I might go in and dress it for me and my son, and that we may eat it and die. And so she's burdened down, and the first thing out of her mouth is, I don't have anything. Because she doesn't know something yet. She doesn't know it yet. So this is her posture. She's burdened down. And I'm without. When we don't have a sense of knowing what. What's ours, that's how we are. We're burdened down and we think we're without. That's what comes out of our mouth. When you really. When you don't know, that provision has already been made for you. Amen. And so verse 13, it says, and Elijah said unto her, now watch this. Fear not. I always find that fear goes along with condemnation. Always goes along with condemnation. Fear not. Go and do as thou hast said, but make me, therefore, a little cake first and bring it to me, and after make for thee and for thy Son. And so here, you know, the first thing is he's addressing his fear. When we know what we have, it dispels fear. When we know what's ours, we don't approach something. And the first thing in our approach is fear. When we know what's ours, we're confident. Whether we see the provision or not, we're confident. And so I'm gonna fast forward here. We know there was a miracle. We know she went and did what he said. We know that the supernatural provision is made. She is not only feeding herself and her son, but she is also out of her resources, sustaining the prophet. And this happened for as long as it took for the drought to be over, for seed to be planted. The Bible says this, you know, for seed to be planted in your commentaries, it tells You. This was not a one meal. This was a length of time, however long it was, until things changed. But let's go down to verse 17. And it came to pass after these things that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick, and his sickness was sore, that there was no breath in him. Her son dies. And watch what happens here. She has been living in a continual miracle for however long, whether it was a month, a year, two years. Some people, some commentaries say two and a half years. You know, whatever it was, you're involved in a constant miracle, but you still don't have light. And here's how we're gonna see this. After the sun dies, verse 18. And she said unto Elijah, here she's talking again. What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? Art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance and to slay my son? Where did that come from? Where'd that come from? It was already there. You've come to bring up my sin, and now I gotta pay the penalty for it. That's right. She had sin consciousness because the first time something went wrong, she forgot all the miracle that she had been in and says, it's because of my sin that this happened. When you don't have revelation of who you are, you can be enjoying some things, but when something else comes up, the first thing that the devil plays is it's because you. You didn't see this in the beginning. But something else happens and she goes, what? What in the world have you done? It's like congregation members, they forget all the good you've done. Then something else goes wrong and it's the church's fault. It's the pastor's fault. We've been in church a while. Sometimes you go, like, what? Are you kidding? This is my fault? I mean, I'm thinking that the prophet is just scratching his head like, woman, you have been in a continual miracle. You go, and it's never empty. And the first thing that goes wrong, you go sin conscious. And the devil's always right there for us in the New Testament to try to take us into sin consciousness when we don't have that firm foundation of who we are in Christ. And she said unto Elijah, what have I to do with thee, O thou man of God, Art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance and to slay my son, thou? This is your fault. You know, even sin consciousness wants to blame someone else. This is your fault. And this is the way that we react when we don't have the light of the revelation of what's already been provided for us and what's there for us. We will face every situation with this sense that we don't have. I don't have the skill, I don't have the talent, I don't have the money, I don't have the ability, I don't have the resources. Everything. It's what I. We will see first what I don't have instead of recognizing the resources that are there for us because we are on assignment by God. And so, of course, she, you know, the prophet, he takes the son and he prays for him, and he raises him from the dead and he returns him to her. And notice what she says again in verse 24. And the woman said to Elijah, now by this I know that thou art a man of God and that the word of the Lord is in thy mouth. Now by this I know. How did she not know when she didn't die? How did she not know when there was an ongoing miracle? See, when you don't know who you are and what's been provided for you, there's not clarity. You're in darkness. Everything. There's a great cast of things. Now by this I know that you're a man of God. How did you not know when you had an ongoing miracle? How did you miss that? And with sin consciousness, you don't see clearly. You're never seeing that provision is already there, that the answer is already there, that you are fully equipped, that you already have everything that you need. When the devil can play that card on you over and over, it doesn't matter how many miracles you've had or how many times God's come through when he can play that card, and he'll play it as often as you'll let him. I would find myself saying, God, how many times do I have to doubt you? You know, in my remorse of, oh, my God, you came through again. But what was that? Sin conscious? It wasn't a revelation of how good he was and how much he was for me. So until you get the light on that, and I think that's progressive, I think the more that we grow in God, we get, we get better established in it. So I'm not where I was when I started, but I know there's still ground to take on who I am in Christ. But before that light came, God would always come through. And then I'd just feel so bad. Jeez, why did I doubt you? You have done so many things for me. Why did I get under that pressure of doubt. And then of course, you know the enemy's telling you why, this time it's not gonna work. It worked that time and the time before and 50 other times, but this time it's not gonna work. And it's always because of you. And so you don't see clearly. And there's not confidence and there's not boldness. There's this posture of always being burdened down. And we see people in church like that, they always look burdened down. They never look lifted up. Why? Because they don't have a revelation of what has been accomplished for them and what belongs to them. Because when you get that revelation, your. Prayers change, your words change, your confessions change. I got a little glimpse of this in the early days and we were struggling financially. This was just. And I'm gonna condense this, but we were struggling financially. And I'm about to go and rehearse my woes to somebody, but I've been taught the word. And I know, I know here, but not here, you know, my head mentally assents to this truth. The more you say it, the more you have it. My head mentally ascends to that, but my head is not renewed. The truth of. Obviously the truth is in, but I don't have that truth in me to where it's renewing my mind. So I want relief, you know. You know, you get some other notice and you go, oh, on top of everything else, you know, so you want to tell somebody, you know, don Franciscan, tell somebody. Anyway, like my husband says, you'll get that at 3 o' clock in the morning. But anyway, so I'm there and I'm about to call someone. And you know, I'm very careful not to call somebody that could help me. Cause I'm not looking for money. I'm not looking for a bailout. I'm not trying to, you know, hint to somebody, you know, I need some bucks here. You know, I'm not doing that. I'm just trying to relieve some pressure. My friend won't appreciate that. No, she knows. She's heard my testimony. Hey, I know you can't help me, so I'm just gonna vent on you. You know, I know you would help me if you could, but I know you can't, you know, But I'm not looking for help from a person, okay? So I'm about to vent and God tells me, I mean, just so authoritative, put down that phone. And I'm just getting a glimpse of this now. He said, you know, meaning I've heard The word, the more you say it, the more you're gonna have it. And he said, I'm not sidestepping my word for you. My word is my word. And he said, let me tell you something else. What you're living is a lie. Because positionally, I've raised you up with Christ in heavenly faces far above. But you'll never live that here if you don't change what you're saying. And of course, I'm about to explode on someone, my woe. So it's like all these words are stuck in my mouth, in my throat, like I was about to say something and God just like, stopped me before I could get it all out. So in my mind I'm thinking, well, then what do I say? He said, let God be true and every man a liar. He said, you're not gonna live blessed until you begin to speak that you're blessed before you ever see it. You'll never extract it out of the place where it comes from. So stop saying the circumstance and start declaring what I've already done. And do you know, really, the anointing and the authority of the way God dealt with me. I had the power to stop rehearsing my problems. Now I don't have the full view of this yet. So there's other things that you know that I go through. But that day when he said, this lack that you're experiencing, all this stroke, it's a lie. The truth is, and he used this word positionally, I have seated you with Christ in heavenly places. There's no lack in heaven. But you're not gonna experience it until you begin to say something different. It's the first inklings of getting, like, revelation. And now it's not that I haven't heard the word, I just don't. It's not real to me. I'm not putting yet right. It's not alive. I'm not putting my emphasis on that. I am just looking at the situation I am burdened down with that's going on. I am dealing with fear, then condemnation, the whole nine yards. Why? Because even though it's all mine, I don't know it. She said, now I know for sure that you're a man of God. A couple seconds ago, you're going, what kind of dude are you that you would come just to, you know, call out my sin and get the consequence for it? And he's like, ma', am, you've been living for. We've been in an ongoing miracle for so long. But see, when you don't have that revelation, even though you can see God do some things, you're still gonna approach the next situation the same. So we have to have light on what belongs to us. When we get together with a staff and we begin to. Every day before everybody goes home, we begin to make our confession of what we need. And the first thing that I say is, God, we are not coming to you asking you for something that isn't already ours, but we are coming according to your word. Because this is the way that we release our faith and we give the angels something to work with, our words. And we are coming agreeing, thanking you for this, because it's already ours. This is how we begin to approach this. But we didn't start out like that. We had to come into relationship with those that would teach us that. That would teach us that faith isn't this struggle, that there's a rest to faith. And the Bible says, listen, make the effort. I'm paraphrasing. Make the effort to get into the rest of faith. Make the effort to get into the rest of faith. Because in faith there's rest. Because in faith there's confidence that there's that provision, whether you see it or not. And this is the posture that we have to get into. But we will never get into it until we get the light, that revelation of who we are, what he has done, what's on the inside of us, and that he knows. He knows where we're at in every season of our life. And he's already made full provision. We must keep renewing our mind. You knew God, I would be here at this time in this situation, and you've got it covered. You've got it covered. And I have to convince my mind so it won't work against what I know in my spirit. So I have to keep renewing my mind. Listen, you knew, you knew, you knew. You already knew. This isn't a surprise to you. You knew. And you knew what you wanted me to do, and you knew that you were gonna back me and you were gonna get it done through me. So listen, just help me to yield. I'm just gonna endeavor to yield to you because you already knew. So I'm not making this place a struggle. Why? Because I know she didn't know. So there was. Out of her mouth comes lack out of. The prophet has to deal with fear. Then she accuses him, the sin consciousness comes out, and then she's acting like she's got victory. Now I know there's another woman in Second Kings, chapter four, starting in verse eight, this was another woman and a different posture. The verse says, and it fell on a day that Elisha passed Hushunam, where was a great woman, and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread. Here was a woman that didn't really have the same issues as the other woman. She was a woman of means. She was a hospitable woman. She wasn't carrying a bunch of baggage. And when the man of God came by, obviously she was a woman of hospitality because she invited him in. But then the Bible says she recognized something. See, the woman in First Kings didn't recognize something because your perception and your vision is clouded when you're under that umbrella of not knowing. But this woman, she perceived, the Bible says, and she said unto her husband, behold, now I perceive that this is a holy man of God. When you're not carrying all that baggage, you see things different. You recognize the moves of the spirit different. You recognize even how the enemy works. Without the sense of dread or fear. You recognize his tactics. Why? Because you know something. You know that there's an enemy out, and you know he's going to try something. You know that. But you also know you've got the victory. You know, whatever he tries, you've got the victory. I can't tell you how many times when God would tell us to move towards something. It looked like the finances went backwards. But because we knew, we said, this is par for the course. This won't last very long, because he's going to know quickly that I know that this is not gonna stop me from doing what God's told me to do. Cause he likes to use money. A lot of times, you know, he'll say, you know, be where your spiritual father's at. You know, when Dr. Frank. And then, you know, you're getting on planes and all this and that. And then you know, the enemy, the money, tries. You go, no, no, no, no, no. That's gonna stop us. We're going. And, you know, you get past that because he can't hold what doesn't belong to him. And as long as you don't yield to that threat, he has to turn loose because it's yours. So there is a different posture, a different mindset. This is what recognizing who we are will do for us. We will approach things different. We will see from the top, not trying to look up from the bottom. And I can't tell you, just too many years I looked up from the bottom. I knew God loved me, but I did not have the right revelation of who I was. I knew he loved me, but, you know, I needed that revelation. And I'm so thankful. You know, one of the things that God spoke to us when we hooked up with Dufresne Ministries, God said we would never have to go anyplace else. I'm not trying to get into the details, but God told us, I need you to disconnect here, and I need you to connect here. And that was a very traumatic time. Cause we have never done that before. And we wanted to make sure that we were right with God. But the thing that he said when he told us to connect, said, you won't ever have to. You won't ever have to disconnect. And I'm glad that we've always had just the security of knowing this is home forever. Because, you know, God will talk to you. He'll tell you some things, and it just gives you a different outlook. And we. We had to be connected. God had to send a man so that we would know that this is the direction that he was taking us in, so that we could get better established in who we were and. And. And how he operates. And that's one thing that we. We treasure about being here with Pastor Nancy and of course, obviously, Dr. Dufresne before. Before his exit. But because we begin to feel we don't have to fight anymore. It's not a strain. It's not a struggle. It's a rest. It's a joy. When it's not a joy, I'm not doing it right. Anytime it seems hard, I go, okay, I know this. If it's hard, I'm not doing it right. So I need to get back and figure out how to do it right. Because it's not supposed to be hard. And if it's hard, I got to make some adjustments. But I'm not going to condemn myself that I have to make adjustments. I'm just going to, like, you know, this isn't hard. This is easy. Why? Because we've heard it over and over. And even if it wasn't in a message, it's in watching how things operate. And, of course, the impartations. How about the strengthening of the impartations that, you know, we used to say this when there would be a project that, you know, it seemed like we were not moving fast enough with it, you know, because it looked bigger than what we could do in our minds. And then, you know, Dr. Fran would show up and he'd start talking and say, hey, what about that? And we go, oh, well, you know, that's. You know, we're believing to get that thing done. And he'd just look at you like, why isn't it done? And when he left, we go, why isn't it done? Loser. No. I was making my kids laugh. This side story. I was making my kids laugh because we were in Disneyland and the ride said had some mechanical difficulties. They had to shut down. You could stay in line or you could leave. And so we were kind of way back, and everybody was leaving, you know, and they go. They go, mom, what do you want to do? I go, these losers are leaving. We're going to the front of the line. I was just teasing, you know, it's like they don't know how to wait anything out. And so, you know, we get to the front line of the line and, you know, five minutes, they go, okay, rise back up. You know, and we're in the front, you know, so now this is our little comedy word. Loser. But you know, for a moment, when Dr. Frene would look at you like, why haven't you taken care of this? You kind of, for a second go, ooh, loser. Oh, no, wait, we can do this. Yeah. And that impartation made us have a reality that it's there and we can do it. This is what's so important about, you know, being connected properly and the right fellowship and the right impartations. Because when that anointing on their life comes, you go. You don't look at it anymore like, it's hard. You look at go. No, it's easy. Why? Because you're looking from where you are. Have been established. We're established in righteousness. I love that. She said, I proceeded. How many people under condemnation don't perceive that their help is in the word? Listen, I have people in my church that they don't even perceive that their help is in their mouth. Why is it so hard to confess the word over your situation, over your body? Why is it so hard to get it through this? You want, like Naaman, you want God to tell you something hard to do. He's giving you something easy. Don't make it hard. You know, my mother used to say that to us. Stop making that hard. You know, you'd be fussing at something. Stop making that hard. It's not that hard. Okay? Of course, you know, when we got a little older, we go, maybe not for you. You only talked under your breath once to my mother. You never did that again. So When. When you know who you are, you can see things, you can perceive things, you can recognize the movement of God in. In your. In revelation of who you are, it's easier to recognize how God's moving. So she said, I perceive that. That this is a holy man of God who he passes by us continually. Let us make him a chamber, I pray thee, on the wall. And let us set for him there a bed, a table, a stool, a candlestick. And it shall be when he cometh to us that he shall turn thither. Pastor Nancy gave us a book by Lillian B. Yeoman. And in there, she talks about this woman right here. And when she describes the elements that were put in the room, she said, this woman was hungry for fellowship with God, so she made a room for him so that she could fellowship with God through the messenger. When you don't have condemnation hanging over you, you draw into fellowship. You don't keep yourself out when you don't feel worthy. I tell you, you keep yourself out. Even when people are trying to draw you in, you keep yourself out. I can't go there. Yes, you can. He's made it possible for you to enter into that place that you're being invited to, but you draw back. And I'm not talking about pride or arrogance. I'm talking about a soberness of knowing. He's put me here. He's made this available to me. I'm gonna enjoy it. I'm not gonna live in my head and not enjoy what he's given me. I tease the kids. They go, mom, we're down here so much. We need to get a house. I go, you need to buy a house. I have one. Pastor Nancy's house. I have a room. It's got a table and a bed, couch. They just redecorated it for me since the last time I was here. I went, oh, I got new carpets and the bed's been changed. You get a house. I've got a house. I'm not gonna shrink back and not accept the invitation that God has provided for me through someone. But condemnation will make you shrink back, and you'll miss so many opportunities and so much enjoyment that God provided for you just because you don't know what he's done. She wasn't shrinking back. She wanted fellowship with him. And let me tell you something about being. Having a righteousness conscience. It gets even more solidified as you fellowship with God. The more you fellowship with him, the more you recognize, even if you mess up, he's not trying to cast you Out. He's wanting to help you. I got into a situation, you know, in the earlier days, and I've shared this testimony before, so I'm not going through all of it, but let me tell you this last part. I got into a house that really. God never really led me into it. Everything looks supernatural, the way it came together. You know, the devil can set some things up. And some people came to our church, and they began to. You know, we began to have fellowship with them. They were new. And then they were. You know, they were. He was a builder. He was building a convalescent hospital. He ended up helping me get a job there. So this relationship looked like it was a relationship that God had put together, but it wasn't. And so then they offered us, because they built a whole complex of houses in a gated community. And they offered us a house, you know, that we could rent it until we sold our piece of property. All that. And so it looked like God. Here's the thing I want to say. When I took it to my pastor after, my emotions were all involved in it, and he could see that. He didn't say anything. And I knew he loved me, but I knew he didn't believe that this was God. And it's not that he didn't want me to have a house, but there's something that he knew in his spirit about these people that I didn't know. And I should have taken the cues, but I didn't, because my flesh wanted it. So it overrode all the warning signs. And he would never tell me no, but I knew him well enough that he didn't agree. So, you know, when you want something, you go and try to find somebody that'll say yes. So when we moved in, I went to his wife and I go. Cause we were only renting, but we still need to sell our property till we can get the down payment. And then, you know, get in there. So I go to his wife. I go, pastor Therese, I need you to get an agreement with me that everything works out so we can get this house. You know, women like houses. And she's walking around, she goes, oh, my God, it's beautiful. I go, I don't think Pastor thinks that this is our house. But, you know, us women, we can believe for homes, right? She's, like, all for it. Yeah, yeah. I mean, she was. Yeah. But, you know, there was just something on the inside that he should agree. Why doesn't he agree? I want him to agree, but not that much, because I went ahead and did it long. And the short of it, it didn't work out. The man comes to us. Not before God helping us. My husband never has dreams. He woke up and goes, hey, this funny dream. And I said, what was it? He goes, honey, I'm driving this old truck, and there's an airplane riding around. And all of a sudden it comes down low, and the bottom wheels takes the roof right off the cab of my truck. And the person that was doing the builder used to be in the military. And he was a pilot. He flew for President Johnson. And so he goes. And I went, oh, this is not gonna work out. Took the roof, right? About a week later, he said, you know. He says, you know, how's this thing going? He goes, the lady that's trying to buy our place, you know, she's not having enough success, you know. And he says, this is kind of taking longer than what I thought. And he says, the bank is pressing me. Cause he built the houses, the bank is pressing me now to sell them. And my husband said, listen, we don't want to be a burden on you. You tell us what we need to do. He says, if you want us to move out, 30 days, whatever, we'll do something else. Because I don't want to hold you up. I know you're. You know, you're in the press. I don't want to do that. My husband's very honorable like that. And so he says, well, right now, if the realtors come by, would you at just least let them in and let them show the house? He said, fine. No problem. So, you know, he calls and says, hey, they're coming. And it was a Sunday in between services. And so, you know. You know, like, my heart is broken, my emotions. Cause I want this house. And nothing's working out. So I go upstairs. Cause the realtor's gonna come and bring somebody. I go upstairs, and finally it's like, you know, okay, you know, it's obvious this isn't God. So I say, God, okay, I've blown it. I'm so sorry. My flesh wanted it so much, you know, I just went with it. And now I'm in a mess. And I've got my whole family in a mess with me because we're here. And now we can't get the lady off our property. So we can't go back there. So now we don't have a place. This is a mess. And God said to me, you know, he didn't scold me. He said, debbie, he said, don't ever be afraid of releasing something that's in your hand because you don't know what I have for you that is so much better than this. And I said, lord, okay, but I need to live someplace else. And he said, well, first release this. Release your faith from this. Cause God can't do anything if you got your faith on it. He said, release your faith. And I said, lord, I release it. I'm done here. I made a mistake. I know I was wrong. I'm done here. But I need your help. Within three days, we had somebody come make us an offer to live in a house. Pay less. It was only one year old. It was a custom home built house. And we lived there for 11 years until God began to take us into land, into property. One thing about having confidence in your relationship with God because of fellowship is you won't run away from him, but you'll run to him. And you know that even if you've messed up, he's got the answer. See, when you're filled with a condemnation, you won't even go to God for help because you're constantly shrinking back. But here's this woman who desired fellowship and she wanted to be close to the man of God. The things of God that she provided a place for him. And obviously we know that. Let's go to verse 16. No, let's go to verse 13. Sorry. And she said unto him, now, you know, he's in the chamber and he's saying, listen, I'm enjoying this. What can be done for you? And he said to him, to his servant, say now unto her, behold, thou has been careful for us with all this care. What is to be done for thee? Wouldest thou be spoken to to the king or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among my own people. So she's saying, listen, I'm set. So none of what she was doing was from any motive. No wrong motive. I'm good. And he said, what then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, verily, she hath no child and her husband is old. And he said, call her. And when he had called her, she stood at the door. And he said, about this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace the son. And she said, nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thy handmaiden. I wasn't looking for anything. Don't, don't tease me. I'm good. Wasn't looking for anything. She was established. But there was a heart's desire that God wanted to fulfill. And so you see, really, by that, you know, she's. She's confident and content in what she's had. She's probably just put this in another department thinking it's not going to ever take place. But you can't move into God and have fellowship with him and desire God. And God not be looking for ways to bless you that you thought were past. You thought that was. That was done. God said, no, it's not over. You may be okay, but I'm not. I want to give you your heart's desire. I want to bless you. God appreciates our fellowship. He's always looking for ways to do things for us, and we must see him that way. Not always looking for the hammer to be dropped. Now, I'm not talking about being casual with disobedience. Cause disobedience does open the door to the devil. My disobedience in not following the leading of the Spirit or the leading of my pastor because I knew brought me into torment. Because once I got into that house, I began to be tormented in my mind. That disobedience will open up to the things that you suffered before. And God was so gracious, he bailed me out, put me on higher ground. The house that we had had peace. It was a beautiful home, but it had peace. And I'll tell you what, I don't care how pretty it is if it doesn't have peace. That house very quickly became something I didn't want anymore. When I had to wake up at night and go downstairs and rock on the rocking chair and say, God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind. He has not given me a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind. Why? Because I began to be tormented again. That house wasn't that tempting anymore. And I never should. And it was never God's will for me to ever go into it that far, but because of my own will, my own desire, my own disobedience. I opened up the door, but I had to repent. Okay, God, I have messed up again, but I need your help. So she's confident. And so then let's go to verse 21. Now the child has gotten sick and he's died in verse 21. I love this. And she went up and she laid him on the bed of the man of God and shut the door upon him and went out. She laid him on in the room where she had made for the man of God, where the anointing was, where there had been fellowship. She laid that situation there, and she shut the door on it. She shut the door on that tragedy. How do you know she didn't carry it? Because she said when they asked her, how is it? She says, all is well. I'm going to leave this with God. And I'm shutting the door with it. Fully convinced God got him here. God made me a promise. He gave me a promise. Still stands. The promise doesn't change just because something happens. But I love that it said she shut the door. Which of course, you know, she's not looking at it anymore. Her attention's not on it. Now she's going to the source. Her husband says, honey, why are you going? She says, everything's good. It's all fine. She gets there to the man of God. The man of God sees her, and I love this because he recognized her. When you are properly connected, you are recognized. They know who you are. And so he tells the servant, go and ask her, you know, is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well? And she said, everything is fine. Why? She's got the end result in her mouth, but she's still exercising her faith to get the power of God moving. But she's got the end result in her mouth. And she approaches him. Verse. Let's go to verse 26. Run now. I pray thee to meet her and say unto her, is it well with thee? Is it well with thy husband? Is it well with thy child? And she answered, it is well. She's talking the end result. And when she came to the man of God, to the hill, I love this. She caught him by the feet. She grabbed hold of the answer. This is a woman of confidence. This is not a woman of thinking, what sin of mine caused this to happen. This is a boldness of knowing what God has given and not not gonna settle for not having what God has already said is hers. So she took hold of him. She took hold of the answer. She kept the end result in her mouth. She recognized at the very beginning that he was a man of God. Why she doesn't have all this stuff looming over her. She's got confidence, and her confidence tells her to go in and get what's hers. We can boldly go not with disrespect. Nothing that she said to the man of God here in her dialogue was disrespect because she had fellowship with him and she expressed her regard by what she did for him. So there's nothing disrespectful. She caught him by the feet. But Gehazi came near to thrust her away, and the man of God said, let her alone, for her soul is vexed within her, and the Lord has hid it from me and hath not told me. Then she said, did I desire a son of my Lord? Did I not say, do not deceive me? In the very beginning, did I say, don't lie to me. Don't lie to me? Well, I got my son, and I'm going to keep him. I'm not turning loose in the very beginning. But see, this wasn't disrespect. This was not disrespect. I am going to have. What you said was mine. The Word says it's mine, so I'm going to have it. You could talk to the Word. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. The Word says. I didn't say it. I didn't say this. I didn't ask for it. I didn't do this myself. You did it, God. You did it. And if you did it, I'm gonna have it. When Dr. Efrain met us the first time we saw him, he prophesied to us, and he said to us about our church, he said, there is a spirit that's been operating in your city over your church, hindering you from moving forward. It's even affected city officials to work against you. And that was the truth. He says, I'm gonna take authority over that spirit, and from now you're gonna see a turnaround. I came back and I said to God, the prophet of God said, a turnaround. Now, if you didn't want me to believe for a turnaround, he should have not said it out of his mouth. But I'm gonna have a turnaround. I'm gonna have a turnaround in this ministry, God, because you sent your man to tell us something. And I'm not turning loose of this. I didn't say it. I didn't dream it up. He said it, and it came from you, so I'm gonna have it. She said, didn't I tell you? Don't tell me this. But you said it anyway, so now I'm gonna have it. You let it out of your mouth. It's God's will for me, so now I'm gonna have it. And so the prophet sends the staff with his staff, the staff with a staff. She goes, uh, I'm not connected to you. I'm connected to him. I'm not leaving without him. Sometimes people get attached to other people, and then when other people get disgruntled, they go with the staff. That's got the staff. You're not connected to the staff with the staff. You're connected to the man or the woman. Amen. She made a bold confession. I'm not leaving without you. She didn't accuse him of bringing her sin before her. She didn't do any of that. She said, I am not leaving without you. Cause I'm gonna get my answer. I said it was, well, when I shut the door and I put that in God's hands, I'm not looking at it. I'm not thinking about it. But my faith is gonna grab hold of what belongs to me. And I'm not leaving without it. I don't care what it looks like. I don't care if it's gone. It looks like it's gone too far. God said it, and I'm gonna have it. This is what knowing who you are sounds like. This is the person that knows what they have acts like. And so he went back with her. And she got her promise raised from the dead because she wasn't willing to settle for good or acceptable. But she wanted the perfect will of God. She didn't have any condemnation looming over her. She had confidence. She wanted fellowship. She didn't draw back. She pushed in. And then she boldly took what was already hers. Her son was already hers. When the situation came up, she shut the door on it. She put it in God's hand and shut the door. But then she exercised her faith. That's what the posture of someone that has the revelation of who they are in Christ. Amen. Amen. We trust you've enjoyed this message. In this Campmeeting 2024 episode, guest minister Debra Simons delivers a powerful message on cultivating a “mindset of righteousness.” Drawing from personal experiences and biblical narratives, she contrasts lives marked by “sin consciousness” and condemnation with those grounded in the revelation of righteousness in Christ. Simons outlines how our spiritual posture shapes our response to adversity, provision, and the promises of God, emphasizing the transformational power of knowing and confessing one's true identity in Christ.
