Hi, I'm Nancy Dufresne. Welcome to our podcast channel. We know you'll be blessed by today's message.
B
Turn with me, if you would, in your Bibles to John, chapter 10, John, chapter 10 and verse 10. And Jesus was speaking in this passage, and he said, the thief cometh not but for to steal, to kill, and to destroy. But he said, but I am come that you might have life and have it more abundantly. So he came that we might have.
C
The exact flow of God, the life of God's life, himself in us.
B
And that life in us will produce something, and that life in us produces abundance. Amen.
C
If you're born again, the life of God is in you, and it's in.
B
There to do a work that you're born again.
C
But even more than that, that life.
B
Is to produce abundance for you, spiritually.
C
Mentally, physically, materially, because abundance is the.
B
Flow of that life. You know that he wants us to not just have a little bit, but abundance. Now turn. Turn with me, if you would, to the book of Mark 11. But Jesus let us know that there is a thief that comes to steal, kill and destroy. What is he after trying to rob the flow of abundance out of your life. But Mark 11. And in verse 22 it says, and Jesus answering, said unto them, have faith.
C
In God or have the faith of God.
B
And we could also say, use the faith of God.
C
For verily I say unto you that.
B
Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in.
C
His heart and believe that those things he saith shall come to pass, he.
B
Shall have whatsoever he saith.
C
This verse is telling you, talk to things.
B
They will obey you. To talk to things. And they have to do. And then verse 24 says, Therefore I say unto you what things soever you desire, when you pray, believe.
C
Believe that you receive them and you shall have them. So he's letting us know in verse 23 how to change.
B
How to get.
C
Rid of things that you don't want in your lives.
B
Use your authority and talk to him, Telling you how to get your desires. So the first thing verse 24 talks about is your desires. And so there's four things mentioned in this verse.
C
What you desire, what you pray, what you believe, and then you'll receive.
B
But notice, the fourth thing is you'll receive. What is it that you'll receive? Number one.
C
The desires that you have that you believe for.
B
Amen. So he's offering us. Let him know your desires.
C
Sometimes people have Too little for one reason. He will be able to fulfill in your life.
B
So he puts no limit. So God wants you to desire more. The more you desire, he will fulfill. He is only able to fulfill in your life.
C
What you desire and what you believe. For.
B
Many people think that they have faith problems, when really they have desire problems. They desire too little. What you desire. Amen.
C
So he allows you to set the limit or he allows you to take off the limit. And too many times we desire only.
B
What we grew up with. We only desire what we've seen around us.
C
But the Word lets us know that.
B
There is all that is Heaven's resources available to us. We will desire more. We will be able to bring us into the Lord. People are waiting for God to give them more. He's waiting for them to desire more.
C
Because if you don't desire, you'll never.
B
Have faith for it.
C
Desire in this verse before faith is so your desires determine what direction your life will go. Your desires determine your faith will reach.
B
And so if God can get us.
C
To desire more, reach for more.
B
Them, How much is available to us? We need to desire all that is available to us. We need to let the Word show us.
C
Beyond what we've known and reality offers.
B
Amen. Hallelujah.
C
Hallelujah.
B
I said hallelujah.
C
Hallelujah.
B
Ephesians chapter one and verse three says, blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us every. Every spiritual blessing.
C
Places in Christ Jesus.
B
But my favorite translation, the God and.
C
Father, our Lord Jesus Christ.
B
With everything that heaven itself enjoys. So everything that heaven is enjoying, Everything that heaven is enjoying right now. To us.
C
None of heaven, none of.
B
Heaven has been withheld from us. We are to live there before we go there. Days of heaven.
C
But it's when we desire and when we reach for more than what we see around us.
B
Heaven has made ours already. Hallelujah. Think about what heaven is enjoying right now. Total health. No one is sick in heaven. That belongs to us now. Because vision says he has blessed us with that. Heaven is enjoying total peace right now. Heaven is enjoying total wisdom right now. Heaven is enjoying total knowledge right now. But also heaven's enjoying total joy right now. Heaven is enjoying full supply. There is no one lacking.
C
Provision. One morning when I woke up, the Spirit of God said to me, the.
B
Greatest enemy to your prosperity, the greatest enemy to your prosperity.
C
Is your past.
B
Meaning this, that we will limit our thinking to the way we were raised.
C
But the Word offers us we weren't raised. The provision and the supply that belongs to us. Because Jesus says, I, you might have this.
B
Abundance means always more than in us. We have to put our desire on.
C
That, because if we don't desire it.
B
Our faith won't reach. Amen. And people are waiting for God to give them more, waiting on them to desire more. Prosperity is not about what's in your checking account. Prosperity is about the way you think.
C
If you think lack, you'll have lack. If you talk about the lack of money, it will keep the money from coming in. You talk about your Heavenly Father and all that he's provided and allow your desires.
B
Maybe what others are reaching for.
C
If you go there, when your faith.
B
Goes there, God will fulfill.
C
In our country, we have a television.
B
Station that's a Food Network. And so it's just all cooking shows. I watch it because I can't do it. And one day I was watching the Food Network and they were having a show of competitions. So they had four cooks in. In four different kitchens, and they were given 30 minutes to make a dessert. Actually, it was 20 minutes to make a dessert. And then they would had a panel of judges that would judge this. But before they started their competition, they had a challenge. And so one of the four cooks won the challenge. So because she won the challenge, she got an extra bonus. That the other cooks didn't get.
C
The bonus that she won to help her.
B
Make her dessert, one of the four judges, Famous baker. And so she got to have this famous baker for 10 minutes in her kitchen. When this baker came to her kitchen, this baker brought all she was with her. She brought her education, she brought her.
C
Expertise, she brought her skill.
B
She brought 25 years of experience. And she was one of the world famous bakers. And so this baker goes into the one girl, girl's kitchen. And said, since you won the challenge, I'll do anything you tell me to do in your kitchen.
C
Now, how many of you that this.
B
Girl should have said, because the girl was an amateur, she has a professional in her.
C
She should have said, can.
B
Make in 10 minutes do it, because a professional can do in 10 minutes what an amateur can't do in one hour. And so that's what she should have said.
C
If.
B
So, with this wonderful expert in her kitchen, everything available to her, the girl turns around to her and said, will you cut up the fruit, please? And I'm standing there looking at the television, yelling at it, pointing your finger. You deserve to lose because you don't know what to do. The expert in your case. And she did lose.
C
She took all that Skill, all that.
B
Expertise, all that knowledge, and reduced it to cutting fruit.
C
You have a genius, the Holy Ghost on the inside of you, who brings all. The wisdom of God, strength of God into your life, into your situation, and makes himself available. And God says, whatever you desire, because you have this greater one inside of you.
B
Whatever you desire.
C
That you receive.
A
And.
C
I'll give it to him.
B
With this.
C
Genius, this greater one on the inside of us.
B
All we do is reduce him many times. I'm just wanting enough to pay my bills. You have the wealth of heaven on the inside.
A
For more.
B
Desires. Because he has come to manifest heaven.
C
In your life, in your home.
B
In your. In your business. But if you just stay locked in.
C
To the desires of your mind and.
B
You don't reach, you limit.
C
So much.
B
Amen. I remember I said to God one time in going. I was preaching in a third world country with great poverty in that country. And my husband and I were there and teaching them about prosperity.
C
That because of who is in them, their culture is different now.
B
They don't have to live.
C
That they.
B
Can reach for more.
C
That looked at me like I wasn't speaking to them.
B
Dissatisfied until they weren't getting it, until they didn't understand. Offering to them. That would change everything about. They were disinterested.
C
There was no rich in them.
B
Because I've seen and we have seen.
C
What prosperity looks like. And we wanted them to not be.
B
Okay with where they were. But. Then the Holy Ghost said to me, he said this to me. To me, you look like a third world country. Because he said, I have seen the wealth of heaven. I know what heaven looks like. To ask for more. You are not believing.
C
So I decided I'm not gonna live.
B
The way earth shows me. I'm going to live the way Heaven shows me.
C
In his word, in his spirit. Amen.
B
That we can reach for more. Have you ever heard of a preacher named. Named Smith Wigglesworth? A preacher from England. He was in the United States in 1927 and he was preaching at Amy Semple McPherson's church. And these are a few statements that he made to that congregation that day. And I want to read it to you. He said, the last days are a time for the true people of God to engage in extravagant asking. So he's talking to us. We are in the last days. And he said, God means me to press you another step forward. Begin to believe on extravagant aspects. Believing that God, when you ask Large, when you ask large that you believe. But when we ask, We only tell him that we believe he can only do small.
C
When that lady in that kitchen took.
B
That woman who was a professional chef and she reduced her to chopping fruit she was insulting that woman's ability insulting woman's experience.
C
She was in insulting that.
B
Woman'S skill asking her to do something small.
C
Yet every day the great grace of God is on the inside of us and he invites us ask him something great desire.
B
To believe she was a to believe for more than enough supply for home.
C
Business or a vehicle that you need. Because we are the only ones that.
B
Can limit him.
C
That cook limited that chef.
B
I only want you to do this and so many Christians are limiting God. I'm only believing just enough to pay for my bills. And it doesn't please God. That we think small of his ability. That he can provide more.
C
Be speech.
B
However you desire. You need to begin with greater desires.
C
Greater desires because your go beyond what you desire.
B
Pay with a home. That's not enough. God will let you have that.
C
With.
B
An income God will let you have that. You're okay in your home. God will let you have that.
C
You have your desiring more. The power of God meets you and back you up no matter what people.
B
Around you may or may not have.
C
Both priest be a bullshit God offers you both for the guy to be.

Dufresne Ministries Podcast — July 2, 2020
Host: Nancy Dufresne
In this faith-building episode, Pastor Nancy Dufresne explores the theme of how believers should “ask large” and expand their desires to match the abundance God has promised. Drawing on scripture, personal anecdotes, and practical illustrations, Nancy urges Christians to lift the limits off their faith, highlighting the spiritual principle that God's provision is only constrained by our own desires and expectations.
“That life in us will produce something…abundance. Amen.”
“What you desire, what you pray, what you believe, and then you'll receive.”
“Many people think that they have faith problems, when really they have desire problems. They desire too little.”
“Too many times we desire only what we grew up with. We only desire what we've seen around us.”
“Everything that heaven is enjoying right now…to us. None of heaven has been withheld.”
If you don't desire more, you can’t have faith for more, and God won’t override your limitation.
“If we don't desire it, our faith won't reach.”
Prosperity isn’t just about money—it’s a mindset:
“Prosperity is not about what's in your checking account. Prosperity is about the way you think.”
“She should have said, ‘Can you make it in 10 minutes?’…but she didn’t.”
“With this genius, this greater one on the inside of us, all we do is reduce him many times. ‘I’m just wanting enough to pay my bills.’”
The Holy Spirit told Nancy that the greatest enemy to prosperity is often our past—our upbringing, our experiences, and our expectations.
“The greatest enemy to your prosperity is your past.”
Personal story of teaching prosperity in a third-world country; seeing people too conditioned by lack to receive more.
“To Me, you look like a third world country…You are not believing to ask for more.”
Returning to the cooking story, Nancy emphasizes that asking for less than what’s available insults God’s provision and ability.
“We are the only ones that can limit Him.”
Many Christians only believe for “just enough,” which is not pleasing to God.
“I'm only believing just enough to pay my bills—and it doesn't please God that we think small of His ability.”
“You need to begin with greater desires…because your [faith can] go beyond what you desire.”
Pastor Nancy Dufresne passionately calls on believers to expand their vision and desires, urging them to ask boldly for all that God has already made available. The episode finishes with a challenge to refuse limits, think differently, and allow God’s abundance to manifest fully in every area of life.
Listen for practical encouragement and inspiration to set your sights higher—and to “Ask Large” for God’s glory and your good.
