Hello and welcome to the defrain Ministries Legacy partner podcast. We are excited to share this update with you.
B
Praise God. Welcome to our first partner podcast. This is amazing. I got my Lovely wife Morgan DeFrain with me today.
C
Generous of you.
B
And this is our first partner podcast. And what a blessing to be doing this with my wonderful wife. It's so important to us. You know, I had it on my heart the first of this year and I couldn't kind of place it, and my wife was like, kind of running around with it. Yeah, go ahead and tell them. Well, we were kind of.
C
Well, you had wanted to come in here into the studio and do a video because there was so much to update our partners and those that give to the ministry. And I said, okay, I'm used to kind of coming in and doing quick videos all the time. And so we drug him in real quick and found a slot for everybody and he walked out. I think we filmed like an 11 minute video.
B
Right, right.
C
And you were like, that's not it. You stewed on it. Yeah, we're gonna get real personal on this podcast.
B
You, it's gonna be a lot of fun.
C
You sued on it for like three days. And I'm like, okay, already, what do you want to do? Because it wasn't, he's like, I, I think I, I, I didn't say what I wanted and I stuttered it and I was like, well, just have him send you the footage and. And I said, you really captured the heart of partnership for the ministry. But it, we realized later, a couple weeks ago actually, that it didn't satisfy his spirit. It was his spirit. He said, I kept seeing us going in and sitting down and talking. And I said, okay, well, we'll refilm it and we'll sit and we'll talk. And we've never aired any of that footage. And then we ended up talking at the Holy Ghost meetings. And we've been able to use that and, and get some things out there that have been going on around here, but there's so much more. And so we had a staff meeting with some of our administration and I had kind of thrown out a podcast idea. Maybe some of you are like, I don't know. He wasn't really on that at the moment. And because he's a visionary, whatever he's looking at in his spirit at that moment is what we're on. And then you came to me about a week later and I was like, that's a great idea. And some of the staff reminded me they're like, you remember, you brought that up in the staff.
B
Maybe she did. I don't.
C
I don't remember. I probably did. And I said, I. The Holy Ghost, Ghost in prayer, impressed upon me. He said, remember when your husband said he saw you sitting down and talking to the partners about what's going on? And I said, oh, my gosh. He was putting it in front of us. And this was the completion of what you saw in your spirit, because it. It wasn't satisfactory to you and nor to the Holy Ghost to just have one presentation, you know, for us just to talk one time.
B
Right.
C
This is an ongoing conversation that we want to have partners about the past, the present and the future.
B
And we want to bring on our staff, people, other partners, people that are with us and going with us. One of the things that, you know, when I think about partnership is I think of trust.
C
Yeah.
B
And one of the biggest things that I like when I invest in a company or do something is trust. I remember what, what was it, 2008? The housing market crashed. Remember that? And the church started to financially struggle. And my dad came in and he said he'd had a staff meeting. And he goes, I have to lay everyone off for two weeks. I don't have any more money to pay you guys. And he said, if you got to go get a job, go get a job.
C
Right?
B
I said, okay. Well, I was like, where am I going to go get a job in two weeks? And, you know, and what it did is during that time, it wasn't just salaries, it was everything you had to make stuff work. You know, there was, I think, a small video that. That we saw. And they said, how did you learn to do all that? And the guy said, because I grew up poor, you know, and I'm not saying by any means I grew up poor, but I'm saying there was times when we made stuff work, we made it go a little further. We just. We squeezed every bit out of the toothpaste, you know, just to get some more off. But what it did is it trained me. I'm talking about me, because I knew I didn't have a big budget to work with. I didn't have. I was laid off for I think maybe a week, and then my dad brought us all back. But what it did during that time, it trained me how to be effective, efficient with very little, and to make things big with very little. But what it did for us as a staff, and I'm talking about me personally, it was training me to run a successful ministry slash business. Model, because I had to learn to work with nothing. I had to learn to work with a very limited budget. There's nothing we didn't do. If the doors had to be fixed, I fixed the doors. If the grass had to be cut, I cut the grass. If, like we just learned, you had.
C
To fabricate, you had to create, you had to make. And on the other side of that, which, and what I love about this podcast, we can really, right. Touch into some of these things, of the history. I keep touching this thing of the history of the ministry and some things that people don't know that really happened in that time. And we. It wasn't appropriate to talk about it at the time. But looking back, I mean, I love hearing the stories of when Brother Jerry's ministry started, when Brother Copeland got started, when Brother Jesse talks about, you know, even believing that angels, you know, came and met his needs as he was out traveling. And that wasn't certainly the beginning of this ministry, but that was a real turning point and I think a solidifying in some things because we have some of those people still on staff. They remember that. But on the, on the other end of that, there were people, including ourselves. I mean, our. Both of our salaries were affected, of course. You know, your mom and dad's salaries were affected. But there, because of the four of us, nobody worked outside the ministry. So that's the total of the, the income, the. The household income. And I remember God impressing upon me and, and you had agreed because I kind of did the finances that our tithe, of course we were going to tithe as if we got paid because don't, don't forget your dad later came and said, I can't pay everybody for Fridays, right? So if we're getting paid every two weeks, that's four days off of our salary, your mom, your dad's salary. There was just certain things. And we didn't go out and travel, we didn't get honorariums. But there in that season, I remember vividly holding fast to, number one, we are going to tithe as if we still get our full paycheck. But number two, it was so big to keep giving our partnership to defrain Ministries because our partnership, to me, our tithe was our, our daily supply that God had for us. But our partnership signified our faith in God, that our investment in this ministry. We're going somewhere. We're not staying in this place. We're not staying where we're having to make things work at the ministry. We, we need to make things Work at home, and we need things. Work at the ministry. And it was like that. Just that. That burning spirit of faith on the inside. We've got to get our partnership in because that is us signifying to God that we believe we're not staying in this place. And so you put your hand to what you believe. You. You kept going. Mom made things work around here at the ministry, and dad, he just kept plowing away. He kept traveling, kept going. And we lived on that saying, faith will do whatever it takes.
B
Y.
C
And you did around here with the partnership money and the giving of the people. You did whatever it took.
B
In that season, we really made it go as far as a dollar would go because, you know, we didn't have a lot. But what it did for me, I'm talking about me, I'm not talking necessarily about the hardship, but it formed me into somebody that I didn't know I could become because it forced me to go to a place to learn things and to be more accurate with what I had, to make it go the furthest and not have to outsource contract work and do all these things. I said, I'm a person that I like to figure things out. I've had many people go, you have the mind of an engineer. And I'm not bragging, but what I'm saying is, I'll say, I don't get satisfaction from calling somebody to do a job. I want to know how to do it.
C
Yeah, you're not okay with it just being complete? He always wants to know the inner workings, and he's trying to. You're really trying to train the staff. Yes, and doing it themselves.
B
Because one thing that I've had on my heart for years and years is I want to be in house for everything. That means, why can't we do it ourselves? Why can't we learn programming? Why can't we do these pictures? Why can't we do this? Why can't we print our own shirts? Why can't we do it? You know, that's the question I ask. And it always comes back. We can. We just have. Have to learn that. But out of that, what that does is it makes partnership refined, and it brings that money to a place where it is tremendously effective.
C
And at that point, at that season, we maybe had 200 or less partners with the ministry. Faithful people, faithful partners, I think. Is that right, Jess, that we had around that, approximately in that season. Jess is over our partnership. Everybody say it to J. Jessica, but what happened is I saw you, I saw Your mom. I saw us as a staff. Number one, we were releasing our faith every day. But number two, there was such a gratitude for what God had given us. And instead of being frivolous, we learned to be faithful stewards of what was coming in and grateful for every little bit. And as we've grown in partnership now.
B
We had how many partners then?
C
Probably what, just around. Around 200. 200.
B
That was how many years ago? 15 years ago. What was in home?
C
2008. But this was. Or no, 2013. But that was before.
B
Where are we now with partnership? We just crested over.
C
Over 3,000.
B
Over 3,000. So think about that, how far we've come. But this is still the beginning for me. Because you had on your heart that we are shooting for our next goal of how many people?
C
50,000. I was standing in the service, I believe it was last camp meeting, and brother Jesse was wrapping up the service, and I was standing right in front of him, and he was talking about believe. Not just believing big, but what do you have in your heart and giving God the job to do. And I mean, we could have said at that point, 10,000, but I felt like. And I wouldn't even asking God regarding partnership. And this was before we knew we were gonna start being so hands on with partnership. God was already dealing with us both last year, throughout the year. And I heard 50,000 partners. And I tell you what, when my. I heard that in my spirit, my mind was like, okay. And I thought then that's the job to give God. Because if I can comprehend at 10,000 and understand and we're not out trying to. What do you call that? Not panhandle, but, you know, like request partnership. I mean, we're bringing it in front of you, but we're not coming up with some A to Z game plan of how to game or we're not going to a partnership convention of how to get. It was more. So all these things we've been through, almost, for me, almost now 20 years, and you even longer, having been on staff since you were 14. It was like these things start coming up in our spirit. And I go, God, I. I can't understand it with my mind, but my spirit hears 50,000. And if that's what you say, that's what we'll believe for. But we want to do our part. You have to take the little bit that you have. And the one thing we knew is we've got information. So we can bring you and be, like he said, be transparent and bring you information of not just the Partnership, the finance side, but the ministry side of many things, we don't get to share all the time, but the staff knows the. Even the congregation here, they'll hear about and we'll get to share little bits. But my goodness, we have two. Just this, this is just a little bit. Two paper. Papers full of statistics and things that have happened, who we support, where our money is going, because let the word of God be true and every man be a liar, that when you give to this ministry, it's taken and being been wasted or unaccounted for or not applied faith to. Because I tell you what, we apply the word and we apply what we've learned. And that's what he's saying. We're applying what we've learned to your giving.
B
Yeah. And one thing that God had really put on my heart and showed me is when Jesus was feeding the 5,000. And I'm going to reference this probably throughout this, this whole podcast, as time goes on, is when he was at the 5,000. We know that he had a small amount to work with, but as he blessed it, it multiplied. And at the very end, he told the disciples, and this is the way he ran his ministry. And we have to look at that. And I take this for ourselves. He said, I want you to go gather up the fragments, everything that's left, and bring it back. That. And then he said that nothing is wasted. And so that is my goal, is to say that everything we do, that it's not wasted. Because what that does is it allows that extra, we call it money to be distributed back into other ministries. We can give greater things, help Pastor Nancy go further. And what it does is it refines all that. And so Jesus ran a ministry of really efficiency.
C
He did.
B
And so that's what my plan is for this ministry. You say, well, how far do you go? Everything gets vetted from the cabling to SD cards all the way. I mean, we go through everything. There's nothing that we just allow people to just randomly just, just go purchase stuff. We learn how to use stuff. One thing I'm big on, if you want something, you better learn how to work it before you get it. Because that's one thing. I don't want people to buy things and realize I don't know how to use it just because they saw it.
C
Right.
B
You better learn how to use that thing and use it good. That's why that camera you were learning, a camera that they sent with mom to Russia.
C
Yeah. It's a. It's a brand new and partners help cover the expense of that. But. But it's allowing us to document and bring to you where that partnership, the, the Canadian office has been a critical part in sending her overseas. That's the Canadian givers, those that partner there in Canada, that Canadian office, it goes there to that Canadian office. And they've really been instrumental in this trip, this long trip that we're. We're about to set sail on. And so that camera was going to be really vital in bringing our partners, what she's doing so that you can see and be a part of that one of. In referencing. Because God keeps talking to both of us about that example of Jesus feeding the multitude. And one of the things is, you were sharing with me at the house and we were just kind of talking to one another is I saw too that Jesus took the loaves and the fish that the little boy brought, and he showed the. It says he lifted up, he blessed it. He was transparent in what he was doing with that boy's lunch. He didn't go on up, you know, the mountain and kind of disappeared with he right there in front of everybody. And I believe not only was it organized so that they knew how to gather up the excess, but I believe it was organized so everybody could see. See what Jesus was doing. So even within that story, that demonstration, there was transparency in his communication with his staff, in what he showed the people, how he blessed it, how he handed it out. The people could see what was going on. And both of us saw that within that, that story that there's so much with. That little boy was a partner that day to Jesus ministry. And look at the harvest the little boy received.
B
They gave it back to him in a multiplied fashion. And that's what our goal is, is to be able to take what we have and out of it. Whatever's left, we're able to distribute back. There's been so many businesses you look at, from government to corporate, the amount of waste that is in those things, the amount of waste that they do, and it's. It's jaw dropping. But I know for us, it's not permitted for me to ever do that. So I want you to know, as you partner with us, that everything that you give is accounted for. It goes as far as you can imagine. I mean, it's just amazing what these staff do with what's allotted to them. We give them a budget and they fulfill things within that budget. But one of the greatest things that partnership does is it projects healing and salvation to the world. And one of the things when I go around this nation and around the world is people need healing in their bodies. Money is great to have, but when you're sick, the greatest thing you want is healing. Money is always second to healing.
C
And think about that little boy who sowed his lunch, partnered with Jesus. What it did was it allowed those in the multitude who were physically ill, maybe they came. And physically it would have been so difficult. I mean, I, I, I say that it, it moves my spirit to, to think about the fact that those people had pressed and had followed him and were waiting for him. And how difficult would it have been physically for some of them to go back, go back home, go back and find food, and then come back to Jesus. It facilitated not just the miracle we think of the miracle of the feeding, but the miracles because they were able to stay in his presence. We, we know by Pastor Nancy's teaching that that is where the power of God was, was where Jesus was at. Now we know the power of God is everywhere. But it's taking the word going out, being sent. It's taking Pastor Nancy ministering to the nations, to this ministry, going on networks. You have to still get that message out. And that costs money. But I think of that little boy seed, his partnership with Jesus that day. It allowed people to stay to receive the miracle they needed. And it would have been hard, a hardship for many of them with a sick child or a missing limb and to try to go miles back and then come all the way. And so what that little boy did was really, it facilitated someone else's miracle. And that setting for Jesus to continue and them to continue staying with him.
B
One of the things that partnership does, many churches can't cover the financial cost for Nancy Dufresne to travel where she's going. And that's okay, that's not a problem. But what partnership does is it allows her. Some churches may cover the whole thing, some may not. But that's what partnership does. It allows her to say yes to anything she has in her spirit.
C
Yes.
B
And that's what is so amazing. And one thing as we're closing, I want to say is if you believe in what we're doing here, I would ask you to get involved. One thing I say, you don't have to pray about it. That's, and I'm not being mean, but I guess the question is, how come you have to pray about what God's doing? I mean, you're just like, you know, so if this is a blessing to you, we would ask you to get Involved because it's so important and you can trust us that when you get.
C
Can I add something to that? So, for instance, there's ministries. And I want us to do this with this first podcast. I want to name the ministries that we give monthly to. So when you sow to us, we tithe off of that.
B
One of them. We just paid off their whole property, I believe, in India. Is that correct?
C
We did a brand new piece of property.
B
What is an orphanage or a school? What is it?
C
No, it's a property. Yes. Next to the. Or. It's a ministry with an orphanage.
B
A ministry that we're with and they're.
C
Teaching the kids not only their schooling, but the word of God.
B
And we were able to send them. I think it paid off the whole.
C
Amount for them to purchase the purchase next to the ministry. And so when what he's saying is when you give. We didn't. I. I know with our family, when we are. Are believing in these ministries, when we are fed and are excited about the word of God and what God is doing, because many of these ministries are doing things that we can't do or that we are not called to do.
B
Right.
C
But we didn't have to pray about becoming partners. And that's.
B
We believe in what they're doing.
C
We believe in what they're doing. And so monthly our ministry, defrain Ministries gives to Kenneth Copeland Ministries. Marilyn Neubauer Ministries. She travels all over Europe. Oh, there you can see it.
B
They've got it.
C
Reverend Ike Akabogu Ministries. He has a church in Nigeria.
B
Precious man of God.
C
Precious man of God. I mean, I know you've gotten healed from his ministry. He's ministered to my children. Words of Knowledge. There is more Life Ministries. Dino Mooney Ministries. That's in Africa. Terry Mize. My goodness. We. We could go on and on about brother Terry and Ms. Renee and what they're doing. Jesse Duplantis ministries. Great Commission 316 ministries. That's the USA side of that. India. A ministry that we've given to Mike Barber, Tremendous Man Ministries. We love his ministry. Rally Ministries. That's here in California. They're reaching the city of LA and Hollywood. Richard Roberts Ministries. How. How much do we love his live broadcast?
B
It's just such a blessing to be able to be part of what they're doing because we believe in what they're doing. We never had to pray about getting involved.
C
No, we didn't. We didn't.
B
It's just we believed in what they were doing. I know when Mike Came Mike Barber. Yes. I knew when I saw him. He got in the back room and he said this. He said, I wish I was at the prison today. And I thought, that's amazing that he's here with us in our church and said, I wish I was with the prisoner today, but I'm glad to be here with you guys. And I thought, what a tremendous man that would rather be in the prison today than here at this church. And I knew at that moment he believed in his ministry. And that's what we believe in. We believe in Nancy Dufresne. We believe in defrain Ministries. We believe in what we're doing here. And I want you to know that we are endeavoring to go further in the move of the spirit here.
C
Yes.
B
To get back into what? Smith Wigglesworth, Stalling, John G. Lake and the miracles. Well, why do you. Why do you say that? Because. I say that because that's what the world needs. That's what they need.
C
And the pastors we have. How many do you have any fof pastors? We have. Have now in our ministry organization, we have approximately 200. Approximately 200 pastors and their families in our ministerial organization. We're not inviting you to join. It's really more of a fellowship. Not like, oh, you graduated our Bible school or anything like that. It's just a fellowship of people who want this move. They want what my husband is talking about and what you're saying. And they've connected because they are like, we are hungry for miracles, signs and wonders. And that the teaching of the word of God and the preaching of the word is a start, but we're not willing to stay at the start. We're trying to go all the way in this last day revival.
B
Jesus said this. He said that. I don't know if he said it, but the Bible says when you go to the door and you knock.
C
Yeah.
B
And one of the things that we do is I believe that my job is to knock on the door of miracles.
C
Amen.
B
And I believe if nobody answers, I don't care, I'll keep knocking on the door.
C
Yes.
B
And there now. And God honors consistent. And I believe for this ministry, whatever you need, you can call us and we'll believe for you.
C
Yes.
B
I have a young man in my church that was born without hands on him. And I believe that Jesus has arms.
C
For him already ready.
B
And you said, well, that's pretty big. Exactly. Because it's needed. That's what he needs. He needs a pair of hands.
C
Yes.
B
And so I believe with all my heart. That as I knock on that door, as this ministry knocks on that door, that we've. You know, that, that. That we proclaim that Jesus is the healer. And your partnership helps us get this word out. And so I want to thank you, everybody that is a partner with us. I want you to know. You can call us, you can talk with us, we'll pray for you, that we believe with you that. That the seed that you put in will be multiplied. And I want you to know that we love you guys and so important. And if this is important to you, we ask you to get involved at any amount that you see fit. So in closing, Morgan, go ahead.
C
I. I think you should pray for the partners.
B
Yeah. Father, I thank you for all of these wonderful partners and future partners. I thank you for them. They're so precious to us, Father. And I. And I hold up their. Their giving before you and I say, thank you, Father, for it. And I command it to multiply. And Father, we will be good stewards of all that has been given to us. And we waste not, none of it that we can give back into all these ministries. And we believe your word is true. And I thank you, Father, for these tremendous, tremendous people in Jesus name. And I call them blessed. Amen.
C
Amen. Well, I. I think we're just getting started. And there's so much we didn't even cover. So many things.
B
That's all right. We're gonna have a lot more.
C
We have a lot more.
B
We're gonna have guests on. We're gonna have different people.
C
Funny. We've got stories.
B
Oh, my goodness.
C
To share that again, don't quite make it into sermons.
B
Yeah. Yeah.
C
This is the setting where we can just kind of be more personable and open up. And I believe we can maybe wrangle up, up Pastor Nancy a time or two.
B
Maybe, Maybe, maybe.
C
And because again, it's the same with her. I've seen it with her as of late, even more so. She wants to be out. She wants to be ministering this message. It's really. And be where God told her to be. And so we are grateful for you. We're grateful for your time, and we're.
B
Just grateful to be tremendous or things are coming.
C
Oh, my God.
B
I promise you that it's going to be amazing. Amazing.
C
And yeah, we have pre vision that we haven't shared yet.
B
We're gonna prepare.
C
So when we get back in what, two and a half weeks or so, something like that, a Sunday, we'll deal with it three weeks from now we will have even more for you. And we're gonna have updates and we're gonna have just things that are on our heart revelation. And so we're, we're grateful, we're honored to be working together, that we're co laborers together with Jesus and with one another. Yeah.
B
So wonderful.
C
What do you. Well, how do we wrap this up? Like your mom remembers.
B
I know. She's so good about it. Well, until next time, I want you to know that we love you guys and we pray for you guys and we believe in you guys. And we'll see you next time.
C
Yeah. See you on the road.
B
Be blessed.
