Let's pray because we'll get right into this word. Father God, we come before you in the name of Jesus. Thank you so much for the Word. Thank you for the anointing that's on me and these lifts of clay that I do. Speak this word with excellence, accuracy, and boldness, asking you the things whom my mind speak to my lips. And this word shall come forth unhindered, unchecked by any outside force, and that signs, wonders, and miracles shall follow. The Word preached now. We thank you for it. This time that we're living in, now is a time really for the church. Yeah, it's time for the church. I mean.

We need to show the world who God really is. And that. That whole piece. So what I've done is I've put some things together here tonight that we can just. Just talk a little bit. And I. I just was sharing with the pastor how. How I. Years ago, I got married in about six months. Afterwards.

I had.

I was still with IBM and. But I got born again. Heard about this thing called Faith from a guy named Charles Capps. And I kept listening to him every day, and he was talking about the kingdom, kingdom of God, so forth and so on. But the enemy told me, he said, you know, your wife can't cook like your mother. You know, he has no new tricks, you know, that. He probably had worked the same thing on a lot of people.

But I was.

I mean, he was making his way because, you know, he's like the waves of a sea. He tries to beat against your mind, you know, over and over again. So what happened is I was going to a faith conference or meeting, and.

Outside on the book table, they had.

Some books or tapes and so forth.

And I saw this one called Praying.

[Pastor Dufresne]

God's Word by Ed Dufresne.

So what happened is I picked it up and it had prayer for my. For my wife, because in my mind.

You know, I'm good.

[Assistant or Co-host]

I'm good to go.

[Pastor Dufresne]

And so what happened was I got the book and then began to read it, and it said, you Know, confess this. You know, confess it out loud.

[Assistant or Co-host]

So I began to do that.

My wife is a virtuous woman. She always does me good as long as there's life within her, the bread of idleness, gossip, discontent and self pity. She does not eat. She gets up early, gets spiritual food for the house. She assigns her maids a task. She does not collect her king, she said, kingdom duties, her wifely duties by assuming others. She opens her mouth with skillful and godly wisdom. In her tongue is a law of kindness. She gives counsel and instruction. And the Word is working mightily. In our marriage. We've been transformed into the image of Jesus by the renewing of our minds. And once I finished saying that, right out of the book, here's what the.

Devil said, that ain't true. Don't believe a word of it. Well, what he did, he got it all from the Word.

See?

And the word won't return void. Start there.

Isaiah, chapter 55 and verse 8. What I want to do is I want to get some young person 20 years old and under as young to me, praise God.

And I want you to come up.

And share that scripture. Somebody, whether you got a cell phone or whatever have you come on up. Somebody over here. One over here. I don't want over there. I want right over here. Now, I'm gonna put young people in the game.

Okay, okay, okay, okay. Who can. Who. Who can read? Old enough to read and old enough to read. Okay, okay, okay. Does she have a. Have a Bible or something? She can. Oh, my Lord. Okay, now you're going to have to turn to Isaiah. Isaiah 55 in verse. Are you gonna. Somebody gonna help her here? Okay, Okay, okay. 55, verse eight.

For as the rain comes down and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth and make it bring forth, and bud it bud, that it may give seed to the sour, and bread and bread to the eater, so shall my world be that goes forth from my mouth. It shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Well, my thoughts are not your Thoughts.

Neither your ways, my ways, saith the lor. For as the rain cometh down from heaven and snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh bring forth in bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth. It shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please and shall prosper in the thing whereunto I sent it. That's a powerful set of verses right there.

It's talking about the power of the Word.

When God spoke that word, everything changed. See, there's a lot of things could be wrong with the earth, and you got people talking about green deals and all kinds of stuff. But what it takes to fix the earth is the Word. And this word released by the blessing will change anything.

See, God's Word made the earth, and.

[Pastor Dufresne]

God's Word is going to have to fix it. Let me try that again.

God's made worthy, made.

[Pastor Dufresne]

God's word made the earth, and God's Word's gonna have to fix it.

So he's saying here, your thoughts are not my thoughts.

Which is where it starts. Neither your ways, my ways, saith the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways and your.

Ways and my thoughts and your thoughts.

That's another scripture that we want to read, and we want to maybe go over in this site. Somebody 29 here, and I want somebody to come up in a short scriptures, Isaiah chapter 8 and verse 18. Isn't that interesting? I and the children whom the Lord has given me offer signs and wonders. This is part of your mandate. This is part of how you're designed. You are made for signs and wonders. Say, I am made for signs and wonders. All right, wait, wait.

Now let's go to Ephesians, chapter five and verse one. Okay, Now I'm going to have you read that out of the. What do you have? Translation? King James. New King James. And then I'd like to get somebody to find it on your phone or whatever and give it to her out of the Amplified, so she's going to read both. Okay. Come on, come on.

Yeah. Chapter five, verse 1 1. Yep.

Now, this is.

This is God speaking to us. This is the apostle Paul. He's writing it because this whole idea about image and likeness that God made Adam and Eve, he said.

God said in Genesis 1, let us make man after image and after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fishes sea, over the fowl of the air, over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing creepeth upon the earth. I like what Charles Capps used to say. We have dominion over creeps. I thought that was pretty good. Amen. I don't know about you. We got some creeps in Chicago.

All right, now this. This is very important because we've got to copy him.

This is. This is what happened.

And Jesus, The Bible says in the.

Beginning, John 1:1 was the word. The Word was with God. It was God. Word was God. And then it says, all things were made by him. Without him, there wasn't anything made.

And then it says in verse 14.

[Pastor Dufresne]

And the word was made flesh and dwelt among us. So the Word was made flesh. I like to say it like this. It took upon itself flesh.

All right, so what's happening with the church? Because I think the church is having.

[Pastor Dufresne]

Somewhat of what I would describe as a little bit of a identity crisis. Now, I was preaching last night or whenever. Where was I preaching? Okay. In Texas.

And I was telling them about this.

[Pastor Dufresne]

Story of the chicken and the eagle. And this eagle had a nest and laid an egg. And while the eagle was away, a.

[Assistant or Co-host]

Storm came, blew the egg out of.

[Pastor Dufresne]

The nest, and it rolled down a mountainside and ended up in a chicken yard. So here's this egg in the chicken yard. This chicken sees this egg, and she.

[Assistant or Co-host]

Says, I think I'll go sit on that egg. Egg looks good. Sat on the egg. Three days later, egg hatched.

[Pastor Dufresne]

Now, out of that egg comes a what? An eagle.

[Assistant or Co-host]

Not a what. This eagle was born in a chicken yard.

[Pastor Dufresne]

Born in the middle and surrounded by chickens.

[Assistant or Co-host]

Now, it's kind of interesting about you and I. The Bible says in John 3, 3 that we were born.

[Pastor Dufresne]

From above. That's the Amplified translation.

[Assistant or Co-host]

We're born from above. And over in Philippians chapter 3, verse.

[Pastor Dufresne]

20, it said in the Amplified translation.

[Assistant or Co-host]

The heaven, which is our homeland, we're born from above, from the commonwealth.

[Pastor Dufresne]

It says in 3:20, Philippians 3:20 and amplified Commonwealth, our homeland which is in heaven.

[Assistant or Co-host]

Now, we were born from that. Meaning we were born out of God. God is called the Eternal.

[Pastor Dufresne]

We were born and we want. We get eternal life.

[Assistant or Co-host]

So now we were born, but we were born in the earth. It says in Isaiah, Isaiah, chapter nine.

[Pastor Dufresne]

I think in. I want to say verse six, that unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given. So here's Jesus.

[Assistant or Co-host]

And Jesus was the Word.

[Pastor Dufresne]

This was before everything.

[Assistant or Co-host]

Jesus was the Word, but the Word became flesh. See, the Word became flesh. And how did it get in the earth? It had to come through the door of human, because human had been human. People had been given authority in the earth. So this is the Word. If God was going to come in the earth, he's going to do something in the earth. He's got to have your participation.

[Pastor Dufresne]

I wonder why the Lord is letting this happen.

[Assistant or Co-host]

He's not. God is not running the world.

[Pastor Dufresne]

He's running the church. The church should be running the world.

[Assistant or Co-host]

So what happens is now Mary approached by the angels, she said, hey, you're.

[Pastor Dufresne]

Going to have a child, and you're going to have. And it's going to be the Son of God.

[Assistant or Co-host]

And she said, well, how is this going to happen to me, seeing I.

[Pastor Dufresne]

Know not a man?

[Assistant or Co-host]

Well, Luke chapter 8, verse 11, says the seed is the word of God and that we were born not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible by the word of God. You couldn't have gotten born again unless.

[Pastor Dufresne]

You heard the word of God.

[Assistant or Co-host]

So here is Mary. She said, well, be it unto me. And so the angel departed. So she goes down to Elizabeth's house, and when she gets to Elizabeth's house, Elizabeth is six months expectant. Now, the baby leaps in Elizabeth's womb.

[Pastor Dufresne]

And they begin to prophesy.

And Mary begins to say some things.

[Pastor Dufresne]

Or decree some things that are going.

[Assistant or Co-host]

To happen to her. Now understand, this is right after this incident with the angel. So she had no natural proof that she was expecting that she had now had a seed planted in her. Only thing she had is the word. And it says over in Isaiah 7, Virgin shall conceive. I believe Mary. A word woman was actually taking that.

And meditating that scripture. Now.

Now this blessing comes, comes on.

[Pastor Dufresne]

Mary, and she begins to prophesy that.

[Assistant or Co-host]

All nations are going to call me blessed. Now understand, she's got no physical evidence. The only thing she has is the word of God. And this is what she began to prophesy. Begins to say now again, his word.

[Pastor Dufresne]

Won'T return to him void.

[Assistant or Co-host]

So what happens?

[Pastor Dufresne]

Mary begins to start expecting here.

[Assistant or Co-host]

Now, If you believe God's word.

[Pastor Dufresne]

It.

[Assistant or Co-host]

Releases the virtue that causes a it releases the virtue that causes what was.

[Pastor Dufresne]

Promised to come to pass. Oh, boy, I'm trying to get this.

It causes a performance.

[Pastor Dufresne]

What was promised.

If you believe, you can find that.

[Pastor Dufresne]

Over in Luke, chapter one, verse 45 and 46.

[Assistant or Co-host]

If you believe what God says, it releases virtue. That will cause a performance of what the Bible says. But the challenge is to believe. That's what Jesus asked him. Do you believe that I'm able to do this? Matthew, chapter 9, 27, 28 and 29. They said, yea, Lord, he said, then be it unto you according to your faith. So here is the pastor or preacher or whoever. How can they believe when they've not heard? Well, how can they hear, preacher? Well, how can he preach except if he said so here. The 12 spies sent out to the land of Canaan came back, and 10 of them had what kind of report? An evil report. The two of them said, let us go up at once and possess it, for we're well able to overcome it. Now notice the difference between fact and truth. God is going to lead you into a fight you can't win. Why? Because greater is he that is in me than he is the one. God's going to lead you to a piece of property you can't afford. Is this the right side over here? And this is the identity piece, see, because we've got to have God's thoughts. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. We've got to know that God, that once you got born again, Jesus talks about in John chapter 14. He said, now wait a minute. He said, it's not me, it's the Father in me. He's doing the work. And he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than he do. One of the disciples said, show us the Father, it'll be, you know, settle us. He said, have I not been long so with you? And you've not known the Father. Now, my point to you is God is not leading you to what you can do. He's leading you to what he can do. Now we shout and kick over the church bandages and sing all these songs and so forth, but where is the evidence of that? I mean, where is the real big difference between the world and the church? Am I right about this?

There should be.

The church should be an attraction to the world. He said, let your light so what shine that men may see your, what good works and do what glorify your Father. God has on purpose given you the.

Ability for signs and wonders.

And we got to know that. Wait a minute. He's in us. Who's actually doing the work? Are you with me here?

When Mary declared that. He didn't tell Mary she was going to have just a baby, he said, she said, you're going to give birth to God. She had to believe that. So he designed you to believe the impossible, to do the unbelievable, undone, undoable.

He's designed you to go beyond this, this. This human existence. You know, I, I said something the.

Other day over in Psalm 82, I think it is.

But the wisdom of God is pure. It's peaceable, easy to be entreated. No, no. Your problem, guaranteed. Well, I don't make enough. No, you don't make enough wisdom. That's what you don't make enough. The Bible says in First Corinthians, chapter one, and I think it's verse 30, that Christ has been made unto you wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption. The problem with the country is not its budget, the fact that nobody's working or whatever. The problem is wisdom. Wisdom made this planet.

Come in until a certain age. And some folk, they go out at a certain age, but not you. Not you. You've been redeemed from teeth going, yeah.

This thing. First of all, your faith will never rise any higher than your revelation. Your revelation goes down, your faith goes down. And so what you have to do is get in this Bible and what we call meditating it, day and night. All of a sudden, what you couldn't.

See, you can see.

All of a sudden, what you couldn't do, you can do. God's going to lead you into property you can't afford, but he's going to ask you to act like him. So I said, mal, I'm talking to you. I command you to sell to me. That starts everything in motion right there.

Say Amen to that. You can decree a thing, and God.

Will have all kinds of people to help you out. Look over in Micah, for example, in Micah chapter.

What happened to my mic? It went up. Huh? Okay. You adjust it, and I can sense it right off. The Holy Spirit can sense it. Just leave it where it was.

So what happens here is in Micah, okay, Micah. So Micah decrees over in Micah, chapter 5, verse 2, that the child shall be born in Bethlehem, Ephratah. So he's prophesying about Christ and that Christ is going to be born in Bethlehem. Now, notice the angel came to Mary. Mary and Joseph first had to go down to Egypt because Herod was killing the baby. So forth and so on, so forth and so on. So they ended up somewhere outside of Bethlehem. But now here's Mary at full term. She's now about to deliver. So all of a sudden, here's Herod.

Over in Luke, chapter two, and Herod sends out a decree that all the.

World should be taxed and everybody must come back to their hometown. So what happens? Mary and Joseph Start on a journey. She's full with child. And here. They're coming back. Why? Because that's Joseph's hometown. And they're coming back. When? They're coming back just in time to have that baby.

Why?

[Assistant or Co-host]

Because once you decree a thing. Job, chapter 22 and verse 28, Thou shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established. And once you decree a thing, then God moves.

Because when you release it by faith.

You'Re acting like God.

And when you release that, all of a sudden, if he's got to move heaven and earth, he'll do it. To make your decree move manifest, say amen.

So next thing you know, he touches a heathen and tells a heathen to tax the people and tax them.

Why?

Because it's going to be the thing that's going to bring Mary back to her hometown.

Said, let me tell you all something. We are turning jails into boarding schools. Because I was tired of those gangs and all of them getting. Getting arrested and put in those boarding shoes. I said, we are turning jails in the board.

To make it come to pass. Because it is spiritual law. Miracles are not magic. They're not. They are laws. They're spiritual laws. And so what happens? And God knows they're needed because he told Moses, moses, go down there to Pharaoh now. And when he asks you to show him a miracle.

Not if, see, the world is looking.

For something that you can do that they cannot do. So what happened? Next thing you know, things start happening. Doors start opening at Cook County Jail. Bloom, bloom, Bloom. Things start happening. I ended up. Watch this. I'm ending up speaking at graduation. What graduation? The graduation that was in Cook County Jail. What do you mean graduation in Cook County Jail?

Well, we had gotten in there.

We getting them saved. They're crowding out our Sunday services. Watch this.

And not only that, a big billionaire.

All these clothes for men's. I'm talking about men's suits that were 600, $800 suits and shirts that were $135 shirts. I'm talking about this just for them. I'm not saying that's. I know you higher than that. But, but this is what they sent them. And, and watch this. So all the guys who graduated from our class of leadership and all of that, they were sitting there. But not that, not only that. On the other side were sitting all these representatives from companies. And these companies needed people to work in them. And they came to sign up the people who were graduating. They let us take their prison uniforms off and put on three piece suits.

I'm telling you, they look like professional men and women. I'm saying now all of that.

Next thing I'm doing, I'm ended up beside the President in the Cabinet room of President Trump, briefing him on prison reform.

I'm saying all of this happened because. Because of a decree.

The blessing is designed to take you to the top, that you're supposed to be the wealthiest person, wherever you are sent, if you'll just accept that from your preaching.

I'm just saying the blessing knows what to do. Say Amen to this. So here's the last thing over here. Someone come.

He had those disciples so excited, they wanted to walk on water, wanted to do all kinds of things. But you can do all things through Christ, which strengthens you. He's trying to get you to do something he can do.

Curse, they're trying to fix it without the blessing.

Here's Peter fishing. Fished all night. Excuse me. Toiled all night and caught how much? Here comes Jesus preaching about heaven on earth. He didn't come and preach to you about going to heaven. There are some things that are said about that. But the biggest reason he came is to get you to bring what, Heaven to earth.

What happened?

As he was preaching, then he saw Peter's boat.

[Assistant or Co-host]

He said, hey, excuse me, could I.

[Pastor Dufresne]

Use your boat, please? Peter got in there with him. He said, now could you push out just a little?

Why?

[Pastor Dufresne]

Because they were pushing on Jesus. Pushing on Jesus and then sat down and taught. So the Bible appeals to your understanding. Watch this as well as your imagination. If one of those two is missing, you won't get the fullness. God gave you an imagination so you can grab hold to his promises that are mostly invisible. So what happened.

After Peter? After Peter.

Do I have some water? After Peter, okay. After Peter had finished speaking, after Jesus had finished speaking, he said to Peter.

Now launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a draught. I've got a living Bible at home.

Catch a lot of fish. Now, what was he doing? Jesus starts with the end in mind. God has made so it's so that you can see what other people can't see.

And if you can see what others.

Can'T see, you can go where others. The Holy Spirit will show you things to come. So what happened?

Peter said, we toiled all night and taken nothing. Nevertheless, at thy word, I let down the net. He went out there, pushed out, let down that net.

Fish came in, broke the net, called for the partners.

They threw out their nets.

Both ships were Starting to sink. Peter pulled in to the shoreline with all the those fish and he threw himself at Jesus knees, saying, away from me, I'm a sinful man. For he was astonished. Luke, chapter five says of draught of fishes that he had taken.

Now understand he could fish for months.

And couldn't catch that many fish, but in one hour.

What happened. People think depend on your revelation level.

Would open up heaven himself, there's no way that's going to happen. And the prophet said, you're going to see it with your eyes, but you're not going to partake of it. And all of a sudden, four lepers were moved by the decree.
