Hi, I'm Nancy Dufresne. Welcome to our podcast channel. We know you'll be blessed by today's message. Hallelujah. Oh, thank you, Lord. It won't be very long until we're doing this around the throne. It won't be long at all. Oh, hallelujah. You could do it for 10 days straight and not get tired. No sorrow, no pain. And the Bible said that there's no Son there, but it is lighted by the glory of the Lord. The Lamb is the light. Hallelujah. And when Moses, he had been in the presence of God for 40 days at a time, and he was so immersed in God's presence and glory that his face shined like a light bulb when he came down. And the glory, Highly addictive. Once you've had some, not like you'd like to have some, you must. You must have some more. And then once you've had some more.
B
You want a lot more. Whoa.
A
And so at one point, he cries out, he says, oh, God, show me youe glory. Show me youe glory. I'm going to paraphrase. He said, boy, you can't take all of that, but I'm going to accommodate you. I'm going to put you in a place and I'll pass by and I'll show you my goodness. Did God misunderstand that? He asked to see the glory. And here's the thing. We talk about the glory of God, and so many times we're power minded about it, but he said, his glory is his goodness. So in heaven, when you step out into the sunshine, you're literally in an atmosphere of goodness. Goodness is all over your being.
B
Hallelujah.
A
And we can get a foretaste of that down here.
B
Days of heaven on the Earth Days of glory Days of goodness Goodness, Goodness Goodness Goodness, goodness, goodness.
A
Now, one thing you need to say a lot, and that is God is so good to me. Come on, everybody.
B
God the good God is so good.
A
To me to me.
B
His goodness Goodness so good, so good so good so good so good so good so good to me.
A
To me.
B
When I wake up in the morning Goodness.
A
Is all over me When I walk up to.
B
The closet Goodness what I see every morning every day oh, he fills me in such a way oh, his goodness Feel.
A
My soul Goodness.
B
Hallelujah.
A
Hallelujah.
B
Surely goodness.
A
And mercy goes with me.
B
Surely goodness Mercy follows me it's everywhere.
A
I go.
B
The Lord's already there.
A
And his goodness.
B
Goodness, goodness goodness Goodness.
A
Overflows Hallelujah. The devil hates this so much because it's the goodness of God that leads. Draws people to repentance. That includes all kinds of change. It's not just the revelation that he's good, but there's power in the goodness to enable you to change. The enemy is the minister of condemnation. And people already feel bad about their mistakes. And so people can feel bad and feel bad and feel bad, but not change. And if all they hear and think about is God's mad at them and judgment is pending and God's disgusted with them and no power to change. Oh, but when you see goodness.
B
Goodness. Oh, there's power to change. Power to change.
A
Cause there's goodness.
B
Goodness is his glory is his life.
A
And there's power.
B
All such power ought to change anything in the goodness of the Lord. My God.
A
Somebody say it again. The Lord is so good to me every day of my life. Hallelujah. Goodness. Lord, we desire to see this more and more. And we want others to see youe goodness in our lives. We want the light of youf goodness to shine that others may see that there's hope, there's help, there's salvation. We give youe the praise, we give youe the thanks, we give you the glory. And we will always believe you are the good God. Hallelujah. The good God. You know Brother Jerry Savelle, who's with the Lord now, what we've got to look forward to. And taught, ministered a lot on favor, had revelation on him and had evidence of it in his life. Much evidence. And something he said that he would say over himself. I think daily he would say, the blessing of the Lord is on me. The favor of the Lord surrounds me. And something good is going to happen for me today. This is a good thing to adopt for everybody. Anybody. Somebody said, what if it's not God's will? It's always God's will. Goodness is always God's will.
B
Always.
A
So say it out. The blessing of the Lord is on me. The favor of the Lord surrounds me and something good.
B
Something good is going to happen for me today. Ha. Something good. Something good. Something good. Something good. Something good. Something good. Something good. Something good. Something good. Something very good. Oh, something good. Something good. Something good will happen for me to be. Hey, hallelujah. That.
A
That can be our cold talk. Our cold talk. You just look at somebody and go, something good. And they know what you mean is that something good. And you look at them go, yeah, me too. Me. Something will happen for me today.
B
Hallelujah.
A
Hallelujah.
B
Hallelujah.
A
Well, you know what this Is something good, right?
B
Already happened.
A
You know, a lot of people say nothing good ever happens for me. People say it. People say it, not us. Hallelujah. Praise God. You better be seated for I thanks, guys. Thank y'.
B
All.
A
Glory to God.
B
It something good.
A
Something good. Hallelujah. You can be seated. I Last night after the service, I was sharing with Ms. Nancy. She was asking us about our. We just got a new aircraft for us. And I mean, this thing, big boy. We just. We did a trip, trip from Florida to Bulgaria. What did I say? Yeah, Plovdiv, Bulgaria. 6,000 miles. Did it nonstop, averaged 600 miles an hour. I mean, this thing, it's right at the top. And a couple years before that, the Lord dealt with us about. He gave me the phrase step up from where we were. And it was a lot bigger step up than I knew. But when you got the word right, you got what you need. We released faith for it. We had sown seed and we looked at a few. And when we saw this one, Phyllis and myself had such a witness, we thought, oh, man, this is it. We made a list of things we had wanted on it, like 20 different things. It had all of them plus five or six and some things we didn't even know about. And it was one owner, big company, and they had had two or three major deals fall through on it. And they had already bought their new plane and they were wanting it off the books. And we agreed with them for a price, 3 million under market. But we didn't have it. We had, you know, by that time, after a year and a half or so, we had about half of it. But they wanted to close in just a couple of months. They wanted off their books, and they'll do this deal if you can do it now and pay for it. Well, we had never done anything on that scale, but we had to witness. And so we went into an agreement with. And didn't know how, but the last couple of months, money started coming in. We didn't make a big pull. We just told people every week how much had come in and what was going on. And for every week, another half million. Another half million. Another 600,000. Another half million, another half million. I mean, this every week. This is above all everything else that's going on, above all your operating and everything. This had never happened like this before for us. And I could see after almost two months of that, we're going to be there. We're going to make the deadline. And so one day I came home and I'm Just sitting in the living room by myself. And they had just given me the recent numbers of what had happened that week. Another half million. Another half million. And we're talking about just buying it and paying cash for it. And I sat there and I thought, oh, God. I mean, you know, from where we came from, when we went to Rhema, I fasted oftentimes during the week. Not because I was trying to be spiritual. It was a choice between lunch money and gas money. That's not a bad thing. We learn how to believe God right, during those times, but to bring you from that to talking about doing a deal with a Fortune 100 company, one of their biggest assets, and saying, you're going to pay cash for it. So I said, God. Tears started coming down my cheeks. I said, God, I am overwhelmed by youy goodness. That was the words that came up in me. I'm overwhelmed by youy goodness. Just the goodness of God. I mean, we don't have to have that. We don't deserve it. It's just the goodness of God. The goodness of God. And as soon as I said that, I said, lord, I'm overwhelmed with youh goodness. He spoke up right in my heart. I don't mean I heard a voice, but he said, keith, if you. And when he said you, I knew the. You meant you and Phyllis. All my people, if you are not frequently overwhelmed by my goodness, you are not experiencing the full good life that I have planned for you. Did you hear that? And when he said that, I immediately thought of Ephesians 2:10 in the Amplified. That talks about the good life that he has prepared and made ready for us. Isn't that what John 10:10 said? He came that you might have and enjoy life to the full until it overflows.
B
What overflows?
A
His goodness.
B
His goodness.
A
Does that sound like the Lord to you? He said, keith, if you and I know he's talking about all of you, if you are not frequent frequently, he didn't say every day, because we're talking about being overwhelmed by the goodness of God. Frequently overwhelmed by my goodness. He said, you're not enjoying. You're not experiencing the full good life that I planned for you. Did it. Is it true? Then he said, I know the thoughts that I thought about you. I know the plans. Good plans. Good plans. To give you an expected end.
B
To give you.
A
Not to hurt you, not to destroy you, but to do good things for you. So the time came and we said, yeah, bring it on over. They flew it over and we said, come on, in, sit down, have a coffee or tea. We sat there and chatted. They wired the entire funds to their account. They said, thank you very much. And they left. And it's ours and it's paid for. And so a few weeks ago we left Florida. Mike flies with me and we got another. I fly it too. And we took off about six, seven in the evening. Just stretched out over the Atlantic Ocean. Averaged 600 miles an hour because we had the power pull back. We hit 702 the other day, Smokey. But we're going a long way, so we're saving gas. So we pulled it back to 600 and sat up there crossing the Atlantic at night. The stars were so beautiful and bright. Sitting up there thanking God. Thanking God. Thanking God. I told them after about six hours, okay, boys, y' all got it. I went back and pressed a. And this 80 inch couch, laid down into a bed. Got my pillow that I brought from home, got me a good sleep. I got up, the sun was coming up. I went up in the galley and made me a hot tea and ate me a croissant.
B
What am I talking about? I'm talking about the goodness. The goodness. The goodness of God.
A
Now maybe you don't want an airplane. They're sure handy. But there's something, I said, there's something that is exceeding abundantly above what you.
B
Ever asked or thought. And God wants you to have it. He wants you to have it.
A
Dare to believe for it. Dare to believe for it. Even though you can't see any way that it could happen. Step on out. Lay hold of the goodness of God. I want to hear you say it another time. I want to hear you say it with conviction. The anointing of the Lord is on me. The favor of the Lord.
B
Surrounds me. And something good.
A
Is going to happen for me today. Hey, Glory to God. Hey, Glory to God. You know, the psalmist said he takes people from the dung and sets them with princes. He gets glory in doing that. He wants to do it. But when he does it. I said when? When he does it. We don't want to hear nothing about how hard you worked, how much you prayed, how spiritual.
B
No, no. What do you want to say? Oh, the goodness. The goodness of God has overwhelmed me.
A
Hey, you can be seated. The goodness of God. The goodness of God. The goodness of God. Last night we began in John 8 talking about the truth. And we're talking about the power. Power of the truth. What We've just been shouting about one of the greatest truths you could talk about. God is Good. Much of the world doesn't believe it. They either don't believe God exists at all, or they don't believe he's good. And even a lot of churchgoing people, they'll say God is good as a religious phrase, but they'll turn around for the day is out and attribute awful things to him. So they don't believe in the goodness of God, they believe a lie. And so in John 8:31, Jesus said to those Jews that believed on him, he said, if you continue in my word, you can't quit and leave him. You have to stay with it. If you continue in My word, then are you my disciples? Indeed, not just a believer, a follower, a disciple. And if you do that now also do you see the continue indicates more than an afternoon. There's a number of things you're not going to find out, you're not going to know, you're not going to develop in if you don't stay with it. There's been some things I've asked the Lord to show me that I really wanted to know. And he showed me 10 years later. And when he started talking to me about it, I saw exactly why he didn't talk to me about it 10 years earlier. There are some things you just can't explain to a three year old. You can tell them, you can tell them perfectly, but they don't have the life experience and understanding to make sense of it or to even know or appreciate what you told him. So I realized the moment he started talking to me about it, I had to grow for him to even be able to answer my question. I had to continue. If you continue in my word, you will be my disciples indeed. You will know the truth and the truth shall make you free. Or another way to translate it is liberate. And this is the power to liberate is in the truth. You know, the Bible said that the gospel is the power of God unto salvation to all that believes. It's also called, the gospel is called the word of truth. It's also referred to the truth of the gospel. So there's power, power in truth, power to deliver, power to liberate. And so this is what the spiritual war is about. It's about light versus darkness. Somebody said, I thought it was about souls. Well, it has to be about light and darkness because that's how souls see and think and believe. And so if the enemy wants to keep people in darkness, he has to try to prevent light or truth from getting to them. And the Bible said he has blinded the Minds of them that believe not. And they believe lies. Lies. I want to ask you an important question. Are you as free where you sit right now as you could possibly be? Well, what makes you free? The truth. Do you know? And are you walking in all the truth that there is? Well, then you're not as free as you can be. And here's the sobering thought. All of us, Paul said this. We know in part. Well, what does that mean? There's parts you don't know. And that can be a danger area because if you don't have light in that area, then you don't have the standard to compare anything else to. Can you see that? And so you could be more susceptible to believing a lie. And here's the question. Don't confess, don't answer. But is it possible that where you sit and where I stand here tonight, we're believing some lies? Is it possible? Well, in your past years of walking with the Lord, has ever been a time when you found out something you thought, oh, that's wrong. Well, see, until the light came, you thought the lie was right. And if you're believing a lie, then the enemy has access to cause that much both, whether it's small or great. I mean, how much of the church believes the lie that it's not always God's will to heal? How many millions of people? They believe that because they were told it from the pulpit. So their preacher and pastor told them a lie. Now, in many cases it wasn't malicious because they believe the lie. They think the lie is right. But what will the lie do to you? He said, you will know the truth and what will happen happen. It will liberate you. Well, that means you needed to be liberated. Come on, can you see that from something? And so the rest of the passage goes on to talk about bondage. They said, we're never in bondage to anybody. And he said, oh yeah, if you commit sin, you're in bondage to sin. Well, see, they were thinking, they're all good and they're all free. And they weren't even close to being okay, I'd like to go some places tonight. Can you? I know had the privilege of teaching at Rhema Bible Training Center, Hagin's School of Ministry. And they allowed me to teach a number of courses. And one of them was submission and authority. And in that course we talked about pride and humility. And I don't know, not once, not twice, I don't know how many times students would come to me after the first few weeks of class and go, you know, I never used to have any trouble with pride until I took your class. I said, yeah, you don't have trouble with something, you just yield to. How did I learn that? The Lord told me that, right? It's when you identify it and realize what it is and start resisting it. Then you find out it's like people saying, hey, I can quit smoking anytime I want to. I can quit this, I can quit that. Well, when they start to do it, they find out it had a bigger grip than they thought. But what will liberate you? The power of the Word of the Lord. The power of truth. Somebody say, thank God for the truth. The truth makes me free. Go to Revelation 12, please. Revelation 12. It's not a nice thought, but is it possible, even likely, that where you sit tonight, you're believing some lies? The riots that you see on the news. I assure you, if you talk to any number of the folks that are livid and mad and angry and try to get them to tell you what they are mad and upset about, in many of the cases, lies, Things that are not even true. And this is how the enemy works. This is exactly how he works. And he doesn't just work this way with unbelievers. He works this way with anybody that will listen. And the less light you have and the less words you have, the more easy you are to fool and to trip. Because. Because he brings things couched in a religious vessel. We'll talk more about that later. The Devil never comes as the Devil. Never. In Revelation 12, 9, it says, the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent called the devil. And Satan, which does what? Deceives the whole world. 1 John 5 says, the whole world, one translation says, lies under the sway of the evil one. The entire world. Brother Hagin said in one of those visitations that the Lord told him that all unsaved people are more or less controlled by evil spirits. They don't even know it. They don't even realize it. And the way he controls the whole world is what? Deception? That's it. That's it. He's not flesh. He and his spirits cannot physically make you do something. They can't force you to do something against your will. What they have to do is get you to believe something. A lie. But they are quite proficient. They've been doing it to human beings for millennia. And they know all the tricks. And they never come, obviously, the subtlety. The scripture warns us about Satan, which deceives the whole world. He was cast into the earth and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying, in heaven now is come salvation and strength in the kingdom of our God. The power of his. For the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. This is an unceasing assault on us. And the word used is accused. The word devil. If you look at the definition, the word devil literally means traducer. That's not a word we use a lot. But traducer means accuser. It means slanderer. And it especially means to falsely accuse. Falsely accused. Again, this is not a nice thought, but it's reality. Didn't the scripture say that we're to be vigilant? Because our adversary, he's going about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may. If he could do it, he would just do it. Seeing who he's able to to. How can he do it? And so many of these lies, they all come in the form of thoughts, all of them accompanied with feelings. They affect the emotional realm, too. I mean, that's why you can be going along just having a great day and all at once feel bad, some kind of heaviness. And it's so sad that people don't know. They go, what's wrong with me? You have an enemy, right? He's trying to mess with you. And thoughts come. And so many of these thoughts have to do with you. And what you can't do, what you're not. Come on. Can you see this? Because if he can get you believe the lie, you won't access grace that would enable you to do it. You won't even try. And that's why the challenge, the spiritual activity. Though we walk in the flesh, we don't war after the flesh. The weapons of our warfare, they're not carnal, they're not natural, but they're mighty. Through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down, casting down imaginations, bringing into captivity every thought, well, what are these thoughts about? All of them are lies. All of them are lies. But the devil is quite the lie crafter. He will use a piece of truth here, a piece of verse here, but right in the middle is a lie. And it takes having some word in you, and it especially takes the Holy Spirit helping you to identify and recognize and resist these things and not believe them. Somebody say, day and night, day and night. Now, here's the thing. When it comes to the word of God, we know every book, every chapter, every verse is 100% true. We don't have to question it. We don't have to examine it. If it's in the word, if it's the written word, it is true. You accept it immediately, completely. But everything else. Oh, I don't know if you heard that or not.
B
Every.
A
Everything else from everybody else. I don't think you heard me on that. Everything else from everybody else. Your initial response is skepticism. Maybe it's so. Maybe it's not including everything I'm saying right now and every preacher you will ever hear. Why? Because without being malicious, I could say something that's wrong. I could say something I heard somebody else say. Right there's not true. Y' all got quiet on that one. Everything else, everybody else. You do not just accept everything that comes out of their mouth as truth, no matter how much you love them, no matter how much you respect them. Come on, are y' all with me or not? And why?
B
They are not God.
A
Easy. They're human beings. Their biggest fault is they're like you. They don't know everything. And it's that not knowing that leaves gap that you could assume something. Go with me to two Timothy, second Timothy, the fourth chapter. This will save your hide. It has saved my hide and Phyllis hide. It has saved us. I'm telling you, it has saved our ministry many times. And I'm not claiming we've always done it perfectly, but the Lord helped me to get this some years ago, that I do not just trust everything that people say. I trust what God says immediately, completely. Don't have to examine it, don't have to check it. It's truth forever. Right? But I think sometimes I don't know who would be qualified to do it. But even all of our preaching and teaching and our books and what have you should be like, the food product should have a nutritional label on the back that tells you the content. And it might say 15% tradition, 13% filler, just hooping and hollering for no good reason. Seven percent unbelief, I'm telling you. And at some point you get down to a percent of word in some of them. But really, I mean, are you, you know, preachers, a bunch of preachers in there? Are you going to stand up and say, everything that comes out of my mouth is 100%? Thus saith the Lord. That's saying a lot. That's saying a lot. Well, if you've been preaching for any length of time, have you found out that something you preached wasn't right back whenever, years ago or last week? And you had to. You had to Come back and say, you know that thing I was preaching on? Forget about that. That ain't right. Second Timothy 4. I charge you, therefore, before God and the Lord Jesus, who will judge the quick and the dead and the his appearing and kingdom, preach the Word. Preach what? You know, Brother Hagin, in the early days of his ministry, he said he became concerned. He said he didn't think they were seeing signs and wonders like they should. And so he began to fast and pray and said, lord, what's the deal with this? And the Lord took him to mark 16 and the last couple of verses where he said these signs would follow them that believe, and then that they went forth everywhere preaching the Word. The Lord confirming the Word with signs following. And so he said, okay, Lord, I know that. So he kept praying and didn't realize the Lord had already given him the answer. And finally he said, lord, you know what? Okay, The Lord said, check up on what you're preaching, because the Lord confirms the Word with signs following. And you know, he said after that, the Lord led him to pray those scripture prayers. Ephesians, prayers, Colossians, prayers, Philippians, those kind of things. And after a time of that, he came in one church praying, and he told Ms. Aretha, he said, what have I been preaching? He said, it's amazing. The deacons didn't have to come tell me, get in out of the rain. He said, see it. But he didn't see it until he saw it right. But the truth, the truth set him free. And when he began to preach the Word. See, a lot of what people call the word Word ain't the word. Preach what? Preach what? Preach what? Matthew, Henry's commentary, Greek definitions, Hebrew definitions, people's visions and experiences. That's not what the Lord confirms. Preach the word instant in, seize, out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort, withal, longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come. And this was written years ago, the time will come when they will what they won't endure sound doctrine. Sound doctrine will become unpopular. Not that this could happen. It will happen, he said. It will happen. The time will come. They will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts, they will heap to themselves, teachers having itching ears. Years ago I wrote in my margin, I said, teacher, teacher, scratch my ear, tell me what I want to hear. Because that's the. There's been, especially the last 20 years, a lot of changes in churches. And actually folks have become more worldly in an attempt to be more accommodating, inviting. I heard that our elder, Billy Graham had said this before he went home. I thought it was amazing, outstanding. Somebody had asked him about the current state of the church and the affairs, that kind of thing. He said, well, he said, many are not preaching the gospel. He said, they preach a message of no sacrifice. And the gospel is a message of sacrifice. You're willing to give everything. Is that right? To follow the Lord and fulfill his plan? And he went on to say, he said, many are so concerned about offending anybody and don't care about offending the Lord. I thought, oh boy. Isn't that right? That's right. Why? Because to many people, the truth is unpopular. We talked about that last night. The light came. And men loved darkness rather than light. They didn't want the light. Hold your place here and go to Hosea. I know a lot of you know it, but Hosea, four years ago in the 80s, one of the first things I heard was about Hosea4.6, that my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. Do you remember that? Hosea 4:6? And so for the first few years of my ministry, I thought, man, that's the big deal. People just don't know. It's the lack of knowledge. People are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. And so people just need to know. They need to find out and then they'll be okay. And eventually I thought, no, that's not. It took me a while to see it, but I didn't even read the rest of the verse. Hosea 4:6, My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. It's not even the end of the sentence. Because why? Because you have rejected knowledge. You can be sure God is righteous. No one, that's what Romans is talking about when it says, yea, let God be true and every man a liar, that you may be justified. When you are judged, people try to judge God. It's not fair. I never had a chance. But I can assure you God is fair. He's just. And every person on the planet will have had an opportunity. Opportunity. You might be in the darkest place on earth. You might be 10th generation idol worshiper, but as a child, you look up in the night sky, come on, are y' all with me? And something someone tells you, there's a God, there's a God who created the heavens and the earth, and you can suppress that and you can cling to your tradition and your false religion and you have rejected truth. You have rejected. Or you can say, lord, tell me more, tell me more. And it doesn't matter where you are if you're living in a cardboard box or a ditch, if you will reach.
B
Out and call on the name of.
A
The Lord, he will hear, and he will bring you to a place where you can hear the real gospel.
B
And he will bring you into full salvation and filled with the Spirit and all the way.
A
If you won't reject it. If you won't reject it. But they. They were destroyed. Not just because they didn't know something, because they rejected what he did give. So when that happens, you never find out anymore. Keep reading back to 2 Timothy 4. They will heap to themselves teachers having itching ears, and they will turn away their ears from what? The truth. There will be situations where people preach truth and they will absolutely reject it and refuse it. They don't want that. They don't want to hear that. And will be turned unto fables. Everybody say fables. The word, the truth replaced with fables. Fables are fiction. Look in Titus, just right next door, Titus 1:14, he says not. Verse 12, he talked about the Cretans being liars. And then verse 14, he said, not giving heed to Jewish fables. Jewish fables? What's a fable? Oh, y' all got quiet, man. Did you see that? It was like, oh, you said the wrong word, Brother Keith. I read it out of the Bible. Why am I talking about this? I've heard numerous preachers quote writings of rabbis like they are scriptures and build whole doctrines, not realizing that a lot of these people they're reading and quoting from never even born again. And I'm not just picking somebody out. I already said, if it ain't it is written everything from everybody you scrutinize, you look at hard and you discipline yourself. It takes some effort because it's easy to just swallow it and go, yeah. And a lot of things sound intriguing and mentally stimulating. And you're like, oh, yeah, I like that idea. I like that idea. Doesn't make it true. Doesn't make it right. And the enemy is so tricky. When I first got to Rhema years ago as a student, and I had been there just a few months, and the Lord spoke to me in a time of prayer, said Keith, examine everything you believe. Examine. Now that's pretty tall. Everything you believe. Discipline yourself to find it in the word. I had never thought like that. I had never done that kind of thing before. And I knew it was him. And so I said, yes, sir, help me. Alert me. Help me. And I mean, immediately he did. Things would begin to come up. Of course, I'm hearing a lot of teaching and preaching in classes. I'm at a lot of wonderful good things. And something had come up, and the spirit of God had prompted me. You believe that? Yeah, I sure do. Where is it at? Where is it at? Where is it at? And so, okay, I'd make a note of it when I'd get home. This was before iPads. I had Strong's Concordance, I'm dating myself now, paper. But the batteries never run down. And I would search, and sometimes I'd find it, and then sometimes I couldn't find it. And the more I would search, I found scriptures that contradicted it. And I thought, yeah, but I've always believed that. Yeah, but I was believing a lie. I was in rhema and still believe in lies. And it never stops. It never stops. Every time you hear. I am not one to be quick to jump on the wagon. Somebody said, did you hear about the new move? The new move? The new move? No. Immediately, three flags went up. Boom, boom, boom. I'm going to have to see some scriptures. I'm going to have to hear from the Lord. And this is one area that the gifts that God has given us, our elders will help you can help you if you'll listen and pay attention. The Lord said to me some years back, he said, many of my people are working without a net. It's a circus term, right? Trapeze term. Well, if you're on the trapeze and you don't have a net and your hand slips off, what happens, happens. You're done, splat.
B
But if you got an it, I said, if you got an et.
A
And he's saying that these gifts that he's given, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, he said, my people are not giving them the place in their life. And so they're working without an ET. You know, we've had people come to us before, and they didn't ask us. They were supposed to be under us. But they just came and told us what they're going to do. And you could see, they said, God told me. So what are you going to say? Forget what God said. Listen to me. So what do you have to do so much? You change. You just have to let them go. They find out the heart. Oh, but there's been a number of times people have said, you're over us. We want to know, what do you think? And we've said, wait, give this some time. And they come back and kiss your hand later and go, oh, thank God. Thank God. And it's not because that we're necessarily smart or anything. There is an anointing on Headshot. It's not about being smarter. It's an anointing. And God does it through vessels for his people, for them not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men that do what? Turn people from the truth. Turn them from the truth. And that's again, because so many times they don't know the word very well. They don't know much truth. And they hear this, and it's spiritual and it's religious, and they think it's God. Some years ago, some people were getting really excited about some financial investments, and a number of people were really excited about it. And, I mean, good people, spiritual people, and wise people. And so they asked us, did we want to be a part of. We heard about it. We got excited, too. We thought, hey, yeah, quick return, big return. And spiritual people that are excited about it. Y' all are too quiet in here. And so it came time for us to. We didn't have much money to invest, but we put some together, and we're meeting with this person who's a representative of this thing. And so before we were to meet with them the day of. Early that morning, I was getting quiet, and I said, lord, it doesn't seem like youe've said much to me about this. And he spoke to my heart. He said, you have no reason to trust these people because I have said nothing to you about them. And he reminded me of what happened with Peter. You know, when they sent Peter, the Lord to Cornelius House, and he told Peter or the people from Cornelius House to him, said, go with them. Nothing, doubting I have sent them. He said, I haven't said anything to you about these people, so you have no reason to try. Come on, did you hear that or not? You hear people say, the Lord didn't tell me not to do it. So that means. Means it's okay to do it. No, no. There's a million and one things he didn't tell you not to do.
B
You're going to do all of them.
A
I don't need a reason not to do something. I need direction to do something. And the rest of it, you leave alone unless and until he says something to you about it. But, see, again, we're talking about trusting something. And that's what he said to me. He said, you have no reason to trust them because I have said nothing to you about them. And I said, I got it, Lord. I got it. But we're still. The meeting was set. So we came down, act respectfully, and I just asked a few questions. I said, well, we'd like to know a little bit more about it. Can we go and see the thing that you're talking about? Oh, no, that's not permissible. Well, but we could, because it's too much time. I said, well, we got a plane. We could be there this afternoon and we could disperse the funds. I just wanted to hear. And within 20 minutes, they decided we might not be the ones they're looking for to invest. And so we said, okay. And oh, dear Lord. Two months later, it came out. It was a giant scam. People lost Christians lost churches, lost preachers, lost scores of thousands. Yes, sir, one person told me. They said, if this is not God, I don't know what is. But based on what? Based on see what you got. Is covetousness blinding you.
B
You get dollar signs in your eyes and see, their thing is, oh, man.
A
We'Re going to make all this money. We're going to finance the gospel. We're going to build churches everywhere. I mean, flags ought to start.
B
Come on, y'.
A
All. I have other stories to tell. Let me see. Go to second. You're there at 2 Timothy. Go to the second chapter. Thank youk, Lord, for showing us. Thank youk, Lord, for helping us. Thank youk. Thank youk. Thank youk. Hold your place in second Timothy. Go to one John one. You know, we tried to talk about one John one last week night, and we weren't ready. But first John one. Yeah, I'll tell the story, too. I'll tell that other story. When we first started our church in Branson 22, three years ago, I never thought Phyllis and I never thought pastors. We had already traveled on the road for 20 years and liked it, enjoyed it. I didn't think that was my grace and my anointing. And Brother Hagin had always warned us, don't intrude into another office and that kind of thing. And so the Lord began to deal with us about Branson. And I thought, well, we'd just get a place there and have our ministry headquarters, okay? And so Phyllis, my wife, used to be. She knows some things about real estate. And so I was on the road and she said, I found something you need to come look at. I said, what is it? She said, it's a theater. It seats 3,000 people. I said, really? I had said maybe a place we could do TV with two or 300 as a live audience or something. Three thousand, okay. And of course, it's big and it's of course, big buildings, big utilities, big insurance. Is that right?
B
Big, big.
A
And I'm thinking, Lord, she said, I'm telling you, you need to come see it. I said, okay, okay. So I came in. We stood in the back. It was not a church, it was a theater. It wasn't set up for a church at all. But we had to witness and we didn't have the money. But if you got the word, if.
B
You got the word.
A
You'Ll get the money. And so I won't go into all the detail, but the Lord worked a miracle for us. We were able to get. They didn't even want to talk to us in the beginning because we said, could we get some kind of a lease thing and a lease to own and give us a couple years to get in and then we'll buy it from you and that kind of thing. And they said, no. And I offered them another scenario. They said no, and offered another scenario. They said, no, we just want to sell it. I said, okay. They said, so how many people are in your congregation? And we said, well, right now, nobody. And they roll their eyes, they're like. But Phyllis and I went back to hotel room and we said, lord, we have done all we know to do. It's in youn hands. We trust yout. And it looked like the end. The next morning, 6 o', clock, there were three businessmen that owned the property. One of them is calling me. He'd stayed up all night. And then he called the other. They didn't really know us. They called the other two guys. He said, men, there's something going on here we don't know about. And they said, could you meet us for breakfast? We said, oh yeah. And they made us a sweetheart deal. And we still didn't have the money but that we could get in, lease and buy it within, I think it was a year, year and a half or something like that. And so anyway, after we were going and going good that some folks came by and said, so and so who is a multi billionaire would like to pay off your church? And we said, hey, that sounds good. Is that right? So then you don't have to go through any kind of thing to buy you just. So we said, well, hey, whatever the Lord tells you to do, we're open to it. But we met, we had lunch with some of the folks. And so at that point, I wasn't planning on being a pastor. I'm still on the road all the time and Phyllis is dealing with everything. And so they came later and they said, would you. You need to give us information. And like what? Well, we want information on your income and your offerings, and we want information on your board and what they give and what they do. We said, no, no, that's not what we do. So they said, well, we have to talk about it later then, okay? They came back later and they pretty insistent. They wanted information, information. And so Phyllis asked me, I said, no, absolutely not. And we told them, hey, if the Lord tells you to do it, that's between you and him. So finally I was gone again. And some Wednesday night service. One of the reps came to Phyllis at the end of the service and said, do you not know who you are dealing with with that these folks can underwrite you the rest of your life. And that was the wrong thing to say to Phyllis. Phyllis looked them in the eye. She said, no man will ever be our source. And they left in a huff. And that was the last we had heard of them until a couple of other churches nearby took them up on their offer. And within less than a year, they had ejected those pastors and their board. The Lord saved us. I said, the Lord saved us. And I saw something that blessed me so much. We had a project and we named it. We had, I forget, 2,000 something seats that was in the auditorium. And we named it paid and full of people it paid for. And we figured about $1,000 per seat would pay for that building at that time, the balance it was on it and that kind of thing. And so I saw people that were just getting ahold of the truth of the word of God, put their faith to believe for $1,000 and see it come in. One young man, he and his mother were living in their car, living in their car. And he got that in his heart as a young teenager. And he believed for $1,000 and he put it in there. Next thing you know, they're out of the car. Next thing you know, as the years went by, he. He married a beautiful lady in the church. He's a prosperous man. He's an influential person in the community. And the Lord showed me that's what I want to do. And it's true. No man, no woman will ever be your source. And God cares about who's involved. He wants them to get part of the reward. Reward. He wants to use it to advance them.
B
Glory to God.
A
Hallelujah. And in three and a half years, it was paid for. Glory to God. Paid for. And a lot of folks believed for those hundreds and five, hundreds and thousands, whatever they'll have reward even beyond this life. A part of everybody that got saved there, got healed there, got filled there, right? Hallelujah. We've had all kinds of things. We had a lady that had a giant offering that she wanted to sow into the ministry, but she wanted me to meet her at the hotel. Phyllis said, ain't no way. And I already knew, ain't no way. But I'm just saying, you will hear all manner of things, right? And what you're hearing again and again, lies, lies, lies, even if part of it is true. Hidden agenda, a lie to bite you on the other side of it.
B
Got to read the fine print.
A
But did you hear that phrase? The Lord said, I have said nothing to you about these people, so you have no reason to trust them. Because when the Lord told Peter, go, I have sent them, go with them. Nothing doubting then. He's not trusting total strangers. He's trusting God. Oh, come on, King. You see this? He's trusting God, not somebody he knows nothing about. Hallelujah. Well, go to second Timothy. Now, for time's sake, we mentioned last night, lies blind and lies bind. Truth lets you see. Truth is light and lies and deception is darkness. Truth lets you see, Truth makes you free. And you see this so clearly in this passage, he's writing to believe. And he says in 2 Timothy 2:25, in meekness, instructing those that oppose themselves. Why would you oppose yourself? Fight yourself, hurt yourself. Because you don't realize you're doing it right. You're believing lies. You're hurting yourself. And you don't realize if God peradventure would give them repentance. Repentance is a gift. I said it's a gift. People have treated repentance like an old subject. We don't talk about this. That's kind of hard to say. Repentance is one of the greatest things you have ever heard in your life. If you will judge yourself, you will. You won't be judged. That's repentance. But you have to see some light to even know you need to repent and to know which way to go. So here it is saying if God peradventure would grant them, give them repentance. To what? To the acknowledging of the truth. That they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil who are taken captive by him at his will. Believers don't require outside help getting delivered. Doesn't mean somebody can't pray for you, join faith with you. But you got the greater one inside you and you have the Use of the authority of the name above all names. And if you are in a bondage state, the reason that is that way is because the enemy has gained access and he does it through deception. Through deception, Deception. And if you get light, if God would grant you repentance and it's a gift, especially only after he's done it for you 50 times and you've been hard headed and stubborn, listening to people still fighting, trying to fix it, can't get it fixed. It's a gift. When he says, okay, I'm going to show it to you again, I'm going to help you again, right? And if you will acknowledge the truth. Now hold your place there and look in 1 John 1 because it says the same similar thing. 1st John 1:5. This is the message which we have heard of him and declare to you that God is light. Truth is light. God is like and in him is what? This verse is tremendous in so many ways. I believe it's the wuest translation that says that in him is no darkness at all, not even a particle. The language is none, absolutely none at all. No darkness. God doesn't have a dark side. He doesn't have a dark anything. There is zero, zero darkness in him. Just light. Just light. Verse 6. If we say we have fellowship with him, the light, the truth. But we're walking in darkness, we're lying. Now darkness is very discernible. When you're in darkness, you're confused and ignorant. You don't know what's going on. You don't know what to do about it. If you're in darkness, it's not God's fault, but there has to be an acknowledging to get out of it. If you're in darkness and you say no, but me and God is like this, no. If you and God are walking, walking together, you in the light, brother, because you're holding arms with the light. So you ain't in darkness when you're with him. And if you're off in the dark and done run off the road and fell in the ditch, can't see where you are, then you left him somewhere. You know the psalmist talked about that the darkness and the light were alike to God. You know why? Because when he gets there, it's not.
B
Dark everywhere he goes. It ain't dark.
A
Somebody said it was dark over there. Not now. If we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another. And the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. As long as we're Walking in the light. If we say we have no sin. Now, people have stumbled over this, but you have to refer back to verse six. If we say we have no sin. And so people have been built a doctrine and said, we all have sin. We all sin every day. Absolutely not. No, no. You can go months and years and not sin. Jesus went his entire life. He did it as a human being with no unfair advantage over you or me. No, you do not. You do not have to sin every day. You do not. But what he's saying is, if you say we have no sin, verse 6. If you're walking in darkness. Y' all with me on this. If you're walking in darkness, and yet you say, no, I haven't missed it. I hadn't made any mistakes. You're lying. You believe in lies, telling lies. That's why he's still in the dark. But if we confess our sin, he's faithful and just to forgive our sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we haven't sinned again, when we're walking in the darkness, we're calling Him a liar. And His Word is not in us. Now back to that Timothy, and I think I'm closing with this. Second Timothy, second chapter. Boy, there's so much here. Are you okay? Thank youk, Lord. If God, verse 25 would give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth, that they may recover themselves. That recover themselves means to regain one's senses, to sober up, to wake up. It's like what happened with the prodigal son. You know, he left Father's house, believe in life, right? He thought he would be happier, it would be great. And then he wound up at the pig trough. And the Bible said when he came to himself, well, where had he been really? He. He had been engulfed in a set of darkness lies. That this partying was the life. That was it, man. And it wasn't. And it was awful at the end. And so when he came to himself, well, that's what happens when you acknowledge the truth. Then they recover. This is not somebody praying for you. This is not somebody trying to cast something out of you. All you did is you got ahold of the light. You saw it, you said, yes, this is true, this is right. This other stuff I've been talking about and dealing with, that's not right. And you repented and you confessed that that's wrong. And the power of the truth recovers you.
B
Hallelujah.
A
So that the snare, the trap, the enemy had you in was broken, shattered by the anointing. The anointing removed the burden. Shattered and broke the yoke that was holding you. And tell me, what set them free? What set you free? What? The truth. The truth. The truth in Isaiah 44. I hadn't seen this before. The Lord showed me just recently. Isaiah 44:20. It talked about people in idolatry. He said, a deceived heart has turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul. And say, is there not a lie in my right hand? Listen to the amplified. This person said, a deluded mind has led him astray. So that he cannot release and save himself. Or ask, is not this thing I'm holding in my right hand a lie? How many times is that the case? People are going, I need to be free. I want to be free. Turn loose the lie. Oh, no, I like it. You have to turn loose the lie. Well, no, I don't see anything wrong with that. And their heart is lying. And this is how you get your conscience seared. There's a lie in his right hand, the other hand. You're going set me free. Set me free. But you're holding on to what's keeping you in bondage. But with the gift of repentance. Hallelujah. And the power of acknowledging, preaching the truth, they recover themselves out of the snare. That includes lying habits. Come on. Are y' all listening? Any kind of bondage, any kind of habit, any kind of addiction, the truth will make you free. Stand on your feet. Oh, somebody. The truth. The truth. The truth. The truth. The truth. Oh, thank youk, Lord. Lift yout hands. Lift yout voice. Oh, thank youk, Lord. Thank youk, Lord. Thank youk, Lord. Thank youk, Lord. Thank youk, Lord. Thank youk, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thessalonians, he talks about that people, they didn't receive the love of the truth, and so they wound up in strong delusion. Because if you don't like the truth, if you don't want the truth, there's nothing else to believe but lies. Say it before the Lord. Say, lord, I love youe with all my heart, all my soul, all my mind and all my strength. I love your word. I love your truth. I love the truth. I love the truth.
B
I love.
A
The truth. Now say it out. Lord, open my eyes and my mind and my heart. And show me anything I have believed that is not true. Anything concerning myself, a lie of the enemy that is not true. Anything concerning my family, my loved ones. My fellow ministers, my elders. That's not true. Reveal it to me and I will cast it aside and show me the truth about all these things. I ask for the word of Knowledge. I ask for revelation. Help me in Jesus name. Now pray in the spirit. Some about that. Bende Balato, Gole Vanagne, Brenda Bajijo, Lane de Comosa, Mindy and Jonico Rainbow Cado, Chondo Sido, Tevo Pambe. The enemy has brought these thoughts to many, many, many. They don't care about you. They don't really love you. They don't appreciate you. They don't appreciate all you've done. They don't value you. Lies. Lies. But if you let them in, it will poison you against them. And even though you try to act right, if you believe that lie, you don't want to be around people that don't care about you. Is it true? You need to be looking at things really hard. Is it true? Doesn't make any difference how long you thought that or how strong you feel about it. Is it true? Is it true? Is it true? Hallelujah. Just close your eyes. Focus on him. He's doing things. Numerous ones have believed lies about themselves since they were a child. Just lies. Not true. Not true. You can tell when you begin to believe the truth. The darkness goes away. Depression leaves you. Joy begins to bubble up. Hallelujah. Shackles fall off, prison doors open.
B
Hallelujah. Because the truth.

Don't do that. God loves you. You're right in his sight? He's not ashamed of you. The devil's a liar? Such a liar? Because I'm free? Since Jesus? I know that I'm free?
