Hi, I'm Nancy Dufresne. Welcome to our podcast channel. We know you'll be blessed by today's message.
B
Good morning, everybody. We want to welcome you want to welcome you to the morning edition of the Jesus the Healer Crusades. Miracles in the morning. This week, it's miracles in McCracken County. Amen. We're highly honored to be here. Just so excited, so thrilled and blessed to be on board with what God's doing today. Is that right? Amen. How many know he's got something for you? We understand that in these meetings, there's people in attendance that have a variety of needs. Some of those, some of those maybe are evident. Some of those nobody knows but you and God. And I want you to know that you're in a good place today. Amen. And I want to give you this encouragement, if I can, not just in these morning services, but in all these services, be expectant in every part of the service from the time. From the time the service starts, even before the time the service starts when you walk in this building. And in every segment of the service, we're endeavoring to be led by the Spirit. And these things are spirit directed, spirit appointed. And so that means that God's power is flowing and moving all the time. All the time. And so we're not surprised when, let's say, for example, an offering is being received or other things are happening, or somebody's just speaking the Word and people are being healed. And even sometimes people who were born without a body part that can come back. And it can happen any time, anytime. And so I want you to know we're with you today, that your needs are met, what you're dealing with. Addictions will be broken this week. Amen. I'm telling you, don't come in here if you want to leave with your problem. This is not a safe place to be. If you want to keep your. If you want to keep your difficulties, it's not safe because the anointing destroys yolks and breaks things off of people. If you want to keep your issue, this is. This isn't. You might want to go down to. To whatever the Presbyterians are doing this week, because he. This is not the place. Amen. I'm not, you know, we're not against anybody. I married a good Presbyterian. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. I don't know about you. I'm getting all I came for. I'm getting all I came for. Amen. Nothing less. You know, there's really only two things you need to Know to receive from God, be healed. And whatever issues you're going with, number one, you have to know that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I said Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. That means if he's ever done it, he's still doing it. Ha ha. Oh, glory. Sorry, I just made myself happy. If he's ever done it, he's still doing it. The other thing you need to know is that God's no respecter of persons. And that means if he's done it for anybody, he'll do it for you. Glory to God. He's still doing it, and he's doing it for me. He's still doing it and he's doing it for me. And the really exciting thing is, for most of what you need, he's already done it. He's already done it, and he did it for you. If you're here looking for something complicated this morning, you're also at the wrong place. Amen. You need to go down to the community college for that. We're going to be simple here. So simple. So simple. Amen. Praise the Lord. Forever. So he's healing today. He's healing today. He's healing today he's delivering today. He's setting folk free today. He never changes. He never changes. He's the same. Did Jesus ever help anybody in the Bible? Did he ever set anybody free? Yeah, if he still do it. If he ever did it, he's still doing it. If he did it for anybody, he's doing it for me. Ha. I got mine. I got mine. I got mine. Glory to God. Glory to God. What were we saying last night? Now I got it now I've got it Now I'll give you a piece of free advice. Another piece of free advice. I'm good about that. Praise the Lord. If I say something more than twice, it means you're supposed to start saying it with me. Amen. I got it now I'm healed now I'm free Now I'm blessed Now I'm delivered Now I have it now not hoping to get it not wishing I had it I already got it. It's so wonderful to have every need supplied it's so wonderful to have my healing it's so wonderful to already be free. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. The truth has set me free the truth has set me free the truth has set me free and I'm free Indeed I am really, really, really free. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Whom the sun sets free is free Indeed. And one translation does say, he's really free. Really free. Glory to God. You'll know the truth. The truth will make you free. Hallelujah. Well, no pun intended. All of that was free. We have a wonderful assignment in these morning services, and that's to emphasize the subject of prayer. What we've been doing this far is not actually removed from that assignment because there are so many things that affect prayer. There's so many. And we want to dive into that assignment. You good with that? Amen. And you know, I have a bit of a direction or some things or whatever you want to call it. But we'll endeavor to believe God. I was reading a verse. Can I share it to you? It's in the message translation, so you may probably may not have it. You might have it on a device or whatever. And I was reading this verse in Matthew 6, verse 7 in the message. You ready for this? Seat belts are on hands and feet inside the. In the cart. Okay. It says this. It says the world is full of so called prayer warriors who are prayer ignorant. That's pretty powerful, isn't it? I'll say that part again. It says the world is full of so called prayer warriors who are prayer ignorant. They're full of formulas and programs and advice peddling techniques for getting what you want from God. I thought that was kind of impactful. The world is full of so called prayer warriors who are prayer ignorant. They're full of formulas, programs and advice peddling techniques for getting what you want from God. Prayer is not about getting what you want from God. Because as we heard last night, you already have what you want from God. In most cases, it's a matter of people not understanding and realizing that they already have what they're trying so hard to get. Amen. And I think some of what I want to say today, and this is not surprising, but I love when it happens. This is stuff I was meditating on yesterday in the afternoon, and then Pastor Nancy just hit so much of it in the evening service. Well, you know, there was a time where I would think, okay, well that, you know, don't touch that then. But sometimes God's wanting to emphasize things, you know, in more than one service. I think in our last crusade, we both preached on righteousness one service after another. No problem there. I preached it first, she cleaned it up afterwards. And we're always thankful for that. Hallelujah. But I'm not cleaning anything up from last night. Just want you to know that it was clean. It came out clean. Didn't it come out clean. It came out real clean. Amen. And so I'm just, I'm just tagging on a little bit. Praise the Lord. You already have what you want from God. He's already accomplished. He's already accomplished redemption. Praise God. And because this is a concept that's unfamiliar to people, because, see, traditional Christianity will get you thinking along certain lines. Amen. And you know, we don't fault people when we say, when we say things that are corrective, we don't mean them critically in the sense of putting somebody down. Because in most cases, people are walking in all the light that they have. But like the Lord told my spiritual father, brother Kenneth Hagin, the Lord told him when he was sitting on, laying rather on the bed of sickness, and he was saying, well, Lord, I believe all I know. And the Lord said, yeah, you are. But basically, if I can say it this way, you just don't know enough. There's more to know. How many know you can know, think you know some things and be incorrect about that. Right. And not you don't know it like you should know it, or you don't know it like it truly is. And I'm not suggesting that I know everything. And I don't think anybody else ministering that ministers here thinks they just know 100% and have full light, you know, because the things of God are inexhaustible. There's always more to see. You understand that. There's always more light to gain. And so we do know in part, and we see in part, as the Bible says, but praise God, there are some things to understand here about what's already been accomplished. I said what's already been accomplished. And this comes, this comes really into the area of prayer because most individuals who practice prayer, and that's Christians and non Christians actually will sometimes pray. You know, things get bad enough, folk will pray. And so most of the time what they're trying to do is get God to do something or get God to move. We sometimes say we're going to move the hand of God or storm the gates of heaven. And, you know, that's really just kind of traditional thinking that needs to be better aligned with the scriptures. When I say the scriptures, let me say something about this too. You have your Old Testament Scriptures, Amen, that represent a former covenant, really more than one, but we just call it all collectively. We call it the Old Covenant. Amen. And then we have our New Testament scriptures, but really those New Testament scriptures, those are in more than one section. Maybe not officially, but if we could say it this way, part of the New Testament, what we call the Gospels, you know, they were written to reflect a time before because the story of Jesus. So it's before most of it, before redemption was finished and accomplished. Right. It's the lead in to redemption. And it's. Right, it's the story of redemption. And that's not to discount. It doesn't discount it at all. Every, I mean Old Testament is valuable. New Testament is valuable. Every page of it. Blood was shed for every page of it. People were burned at the stake for trying to translate it into the language of the people. Amen. Lots of people were put to death to get us this. And so we value every page of it. But really it's the parts, it's the parts of the scripture that are written to us that give us the most light. Let me say what I mean, explain what I mean when I say written to us. There's a couple different groups of people that the word of God identifies. And believe it or not, it's not Democrats and Republicans and Independents. Amen. That's not. You might focus on those groups, but that's not the groups that scripture focus on. The Bible really talks about a couple groups made more than others. One of them is the Jews. The story of Israel, the Old Testament nation of Israel and spiritual nation. And then a physical land for a good period of time until they disobeyed God enough and lost what they had and went into captivity. And then it talks about the Gentiles and that really includes everyone that's not in the other groups, those without a covenant, the non covenant people. And then it talks about a group called the Church. The Church. And that's who we are. Of course you understand that. And so I was raised a Jew, grew up going to Hebrew school, had my bar Mitzvah when I was 13 years old and I was on the road to being a good Jew, except I wasn't really a good Jew because after all that, enough was enough, after all that Hebrew school because you know, your friends are playing basketball and stuff after, after school and I'm going to Hebrew school three days a week to learn Shemai, Yisrael, Noyechad and all the Hebrew stuff. And that's about all I remember. But it is Hebrew. It means It's Deuteronomy 6. Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. They call it the Shema prayer. Every Jew knows that. Even the bad Jews know that. And so, you know, I got saved, thank God. When I was 18. And really, what had just been. You know, there was a shadow of truth in Judaism. But that religion and that faith that doesn't impart life to a person yet because it was originally authored by God. I mean, God will honor some things as far as they go. You know, I remember this, and this was amazing. When I was just young, maybe 10, we had. We didn't want to call it Sunday school because that makes it sound like Christians. Christians go to Sunday school. So you ready for this? This will turn your stomach. They called it religious school. That's what they called it, religious school. On Sunday mornings, we had to go there, and I did not like it. And so I would ask for, like, a bathroom pass to get out, you know, And I would go and I would sit in the sanctuary. I'm talking like 10, 11 years old. I would sit in the sanctuary. And all the lights were out. But they always had a light because they called it the eternal light to commemorate the feast of Hanukkah, where they had. Where the lights didn't go out, different story. But anyhow, they always had a light on over what they called the ark, which is where they placed the scrolls, the Torah, the Hebrew scrolls. And they were always dressed with these elaborate coverings. They were very honorable towards the word of God. And that would be lit up, and I would just sneak into there and I would just sit on the floor in the back. And I would sense God wasn't born again, but God, you know, God gave us this word. I better get back on track before I just totally forget all I was talking about here. So I was a Jew. Amen. And so that's one of the people's people groups in the Bible. But when I got saved, see, people found out that I was a Jew who had gotten saved. And I started to say the Jewish religion didn't impart life to me, but Jesus did. Jesus did. Glory to God. I haven't been the same since. I hadn't gotten over it since. You ever met anybody who got over it, got saved and got over it, huh? We all have. We've all met Christians like that. They're like, yeah, yeah, it was great. You're not supposed to get over it. You're not supposed to get over it. Amen. And so I got saved, and people found out that I was Jewish. And particularly one group I won't mention, who kind of specialized in evangelizing the Jews. And they said, you gotta join us. And I said, you gotta focus on your Judaism. And that never sat right with Me, I didn't know any different. I didn't know any better. But they said, listen man, you're, you're doubly blessed because you have Abraham's blessing as well as being a Christian. And you know, I didn't join up with that group, but I found out, yes, I do have Abraham's blessing because I'm a Christian. Yes, I'm doubly blessed, but not because. So when I became a Christian, when I became part of the church and I was no longer, listen to me. I was no longer part of the group called the Jews. Just like if you were a non Jew who at some point you got saved, huh? Or need to. And if that was you, you're no longer a Gentile, you're no longer a person without a covenant. If you're in the church, that's all you are. You're in the church. If any man be in Christ, he's what he used to. He's what he used to be. And no, no, no, no, no. Old things, all things, those are passed away and all things are become new. We're new creatures in Christ. That's who we are. And so we have, we have a section of the Bible that's written specifically to the church. To the church. And that part of the Bible, of course, is the letters. That's not the only part, but the letters written to the church, letters that Paul wrote, I think he wrote 13, 13 letters to the different churches. Some of them he founded, some of them he didn't found, but he still wrote to them. And then others, Peter, Jude, James, they wrote these letters to the churches. And you know who else? Guess who else? Jesus dictated seven letters, did you know that? To seven churches. Don't need to be ignoring those, do we? No, don't need to be ignoring those. So these parts of the scripture that tell that were written to us, they teach us the things we need to know. Now there's certain things every Christian needs to know. Every Christian needs to know who their father is. They need to, you need to know about God. Every Christian also needs to know that they have an enemy. You need to know. You need to know that you have an enemy. You need to know that you're going to be opposed. But then this third type of knowledge that every Christian needs to know, every Christian needs to know who they are as new creatures in Christ. You got to know something about you. And this is where we often fail in the body of Christ, is that we focus on everything else in the Bible other than what the Bible says to us and teaches us about us, who we are, what we have, what we can do. And it's amazing when you find out these things. All of a sudden your prayer list for yourself gets really small because you find out. I'm not trying to get these things. I'm not trying to get my healing. I'm not trying to get God to take a liking to me. Right. I'm not trying to get righteous. I'm not trying. We're not trying to get it in so many of these things. What things? All that redemption has purchased. All that redemption has purchased. These things. You're not trying to get them. You already have them. If you haven't said amen in church before, go ahead and try it. Amen. Feels good, doesn't it? Makes you feel like one of us. Flip with me to the fourth chapter of First Peter. We doing okay this morning? Just endeavoring to minister to you out of my heart. Follow the flow of God and he is helping people. First Peter 4:7 is a text that I often refer to in these meetings. It says the end of all things. Did I tell you verse seven? Okay. It says, but the end of all things is at hand. Be therefore sober and watch unto prayer. I love how this says it in the Amplified classic. If you give me just a quick shake to get there. Would you do that? Except I actually have to get to first Peter, first Peter 4:7 and then I got to get to the Amplified. And it says this, it says the end culmination of all things has now come near. Is that true, friends? The Bible repeatedly identifies us as living in the end times, last days. We're in those days. And the Bible gives us prescriptions for how to function. Talking about things that are written to the church. And so what do we do now that the end and culmination of all things has now come near? We're to keep sound minded and self restrained and alert, alert, alert. You don't want to hear that in an airplane, but anyhow, Low fuel. Oh nuts. I knew we forgot something. That's why they have checklists. Alert, alert, Red alert. How many? Whoop. Star Trek fans. Help me if you're a Star Trek fan. Somebody's here. Like, what are you doing? That's the red alert. That's the red alert. That means the Klingons are coming. That means shields up because somebody got their torpedoes locked on you. And it ain't time for an impulse power. It's time for warp speed, sis. It's time for warp speed. Don't make Me come back there? If I come back there, you're gonna wish I hadn't come back there. Warp speed. Warp speed. You know what? Warp speed. Anybody ever have a tv? Do you ever watch it? Do you ever. Warp speed is when the stars get really long. Remember that? And they go boom. And you start jumping fast. Thank you. Thank you. You go to another dimension. The end of all things is at hand. Keep alert. Alert. I just like hearing myself do that. Keep alert. Why? Why we got to keep. Why we got to keep alert? Why we got. What does it say? Keep alert for the practice of prayer. Keep alert for the practice of prayer. There's a connection between the end time plan of God and the prayer life of his people. And if you're, if you're like we read in the message Bible, if you're prayer ignorant instead of knowledgeable, if you're focusing on. Focusing now. Don't, don't misunderstand me. I did not say neglect every part of the scripture except the parts that pertain to the church. I didn't say that. I didn't say that. Really what you need to do is be so grounded in the parts that pertain to you that those parts. Those parts dictate your understanding of the. Of the other parts. Is that a fair way to say it? I think there's, There's a better word that I'm. That I'm. I'm struggling for right now here. Those parts, what's written to you informs your reading. That's a better way, informs your reading of the other parts of Scripture. In other words, you read the Old Testament with New Testament understanding, New Testament understanding. And what you'll see is so much, so much fulfillment. So much fulfillment. Amen. In the, in the Old Testament, prayer is not, you know, you hear, there's some prayers recorded, there's some good prayers recorded. Amen. But that's, that's not New Testament prayer. You need. You need to have New Testament understanding. And if I could say this, even in the Gospels, in the Gospels, which are valuable, but you need to look at the Gospels and let, let the revelation of the New Testament letters written to the churches, let that inform your understanding of the Gospels. I'll say more about that. I'll say more about that shortly. Praise the Lord. But there's a connection. If between the end time plan of God and the prayer life of his people and our place, the place that we have and that God needs us to take is significant. It is significant. We actually have. I mean, if every Christian knew what they have in Christ. And every Christian knew what, what responsibility and dare I say power and authority is theirs. I mean, we would wrap this. We would wrap this thing up quick. I mean, the enemy, darkness wouldn't have a chance. Amen. You know, we have. We have authority in another dimension or another realm. We call it the spirit realm. We have authority to affect people that in the world actually have authority over us. We have authority to influence offices even as far as Washington D.C. and even beyond that. Right. We actually have a place. We have a place and Jesus can't take place, just like we can't take his place. You understand? There's a place that only the church can take. And if we're prayer ignorant, we'll not take our place. And many have tried. We've tried to skate by for many, many years with much of the body of Christ being ignorant. Ignorant doesn't mean worthless, doesn't mean you're not valuable, doesn't mean God doesn't love you, doesn't mean your pastor doesn't love you. But ignorant means you need some knowledge. You need to bridge a gap that exists there so that we can better function and be more effective and more usable. Amen. I wouldn't spend the time preaching this if the body of Christ knew this perfectly. We're taking this time because these things are not known like they ought to be known. Again, I'm not blaming you, not blaming anybody, but that's where we're at. There's things. I have notes on prayer and things that I want to get to. That things are what I call really juicy, really juicy goodies. Yea, the deep things of God. You know what I mean? But I want to get to those things. But there has to be foundation in place. Amen. Amen. And when God's dealing, when God's dealing with me, get basic, get foundational, then I'm not authorized to bypass that and get juicy. Because it wouldn't be juicy, it would fall. It would be a disaster. Amen. We don't want a disaster here. At least not in the mornings. I don't know. I'm not responsible for what happens any other service. We just don't want no disaster in the mornings. I didn't know that. Amen. No, there's. We're not in danger. Okay? So functioning effectively in the last days requires that the believer understand some things. Amen. Praise the Lord. And one of these revelations that we must understand is what you already have as a new creature in Christ. If you don't understand that, you'll Constantly be asking in prayer for that which is already yours. You'll always be asking God to do. This is what we heard a little bit of last night. You'll always be asking God to do what he's already done. Amen. And so let's talk for a minute about taking your place in prayer. And to take your place, you have to know your place. You have to know your place. Amen. You know, most people would be satisfied if they had the same degree of confidence in prayer as their pastor did. Wouldn't that be how many would feel good if you felt, like I could approach God as much as my pastor could? I mean, was there ever a time in your life like there was in my life where you couldn't say that? Where it was like, oh, my God, if only I could pray like they prayed. How do they come? How do they come so confidently? They must be perfect. They must be flawless. They must never have missed it, huh? And so wouldn't it be great to be able to at least have the same confidence in prayer that your pastor has? Do you know that their confidence before God is not the result of the office that they stand in? Do you know that? It's not what they stand in as a minister, it's who they are in Christ. And really, you can do better than even having the same confidence that your pastor has. You could have the same confidence that Jesus had. You can have the same confidence before God that Jesus had. How many? Remember when Jesus was at the tomb of Lazarus and he went to pray? He didn't pray. God, do something about this. But he said, father, I thank you that you hear me always. Thank you that you hear me always. Do you have that confidence? You should. You should. When he said, I thank you that you hear me always, what he implied in that is that because you've heard me, I have confidence to stand before a smelly grave and tell somebody who's been dead for four days to come out. So that confidence that God heard him also included the power to perform. You listening? Also included that he had confidence that the power. Because God heard him, he knew the power would back him up. You know what First John 5:14 says? It says this. Thank you. This is the confidence. Because I didn't know, but I just knew you would. It says, no, I'm just playing. It says, this is the confidence that we have in him. I appreciate hearing some pages turned because if you don't know, it'd be good for you to see it. This is the confidence that Jesus has in him. This is the confidence that my pastor has before him. This is the confidence that we have before him, that if we ask anything according to his will, we know he hears us. And verse 15, if we know he hears us, whatever we ask, then we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. That's informed, praying. That's knowledgeable, praying. This is the confidence. Confidence in the third chapter of First John says, if our hearts condemn us not, then we have confidence before God. What's the rest of us say? Because whatever we ask, somebody find it. Let me know. First John. First John. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Thank you. Yeah. Verse 20. 21. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then we have confidence. Everybody say confidence, confidence. I got confidence God is going to see me through, no matter what the case may be. I know he's going to fix it for me. Anybody remember Andrea Crouch? You should have jumped in. You should have been singing it with me. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask, we receive of him because we keep his commandments and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. Glory to God. You should have the same confidence that Jesus has. You ought to be able to say when you go to prayer, father, I thank you that you hear me always. So that's just so different than maybe what a lot of Christians experience in that they'll go to prayer kind of the same way they might buy what people call scratchers. You know what scratchers are from the. I don't know where I first heard that term. I didn't hear it growing up, but we just used to call them lottery tickets. But, you know, scratchers, where you gotta take your. You gotta take a coin, you gotta take your car key or something like that. Thing is, we don't use coins anymore and we really don't. The car keys don't have metal parts on them anymore. And if yours does, God will get you a new one where it doesn't have the metal parts on it. So I don't even know how you scratch the scratchers. Anybody know? Somebody tell me, you know. Cause you'll identify yourself. That's. That's ignorant. To buy the scratchers, buy them scratches. But anyhow, people, people. For most people, prayer is like, okay, listen, I'll. I'll do a little scratching. I'll. I'll scratch before God, huh? And see if. See if I get the. See if my numbers. See if today's my number. Come on, come on, come on. You're preaching good. Yes, sir. You Know, it's like they used to roll dice. Why did they always do this? Anybody know why they always rub the dice? Why do you blow on the dice before they roll them? Huh? I'm serious. I didn't grow up in this world, so I'm asking. I'm not going to ask you how to roll, how to roll a doobie or anything like that. I'm just. I just. Ask him why they blow on the dice. We're going to pray, everybody. Cindy, how do you roll? No, that's. Old things are passed away. Old things are passed away. But folk come before God, and it's like, we gonna pray. Ah, snake eyes. I got the devil. I didn't get God. No, you ought to have the same confidence. Confidence. Confidence. I've got confidence. I'm singing because I like it. God is gonna see me through, no matter what the case may be. I know he's gonna fix it for me. Google it. Hallelujah. Confidence before God. Confidence before God. Hallelujah. I. I think, like, I've just preached maybe long enough. So I'm gonna invite my wife up. Yes, let's. Can we come?
A
No, you.
B
No, wait, wait. You didn't. You didn't clap for me.
A
Thank God. I woke up this morning singing that song. No, no. I woke up this morning and I saw a lottery machine.
B
Yeah.
A
I saw somebody pulling a lever of a lottery machine.
B
Yeah.
A
And I was like, oh, that's strange. I don't know that I've ever been in front of one.
B
Yeah. So we booked a trip, but we're going to go right after this.
A
But. But you understand that's not God.
B
That's not God.
A
He gave us an instruction manual.
B
Yeah.
A
He gave us the confidence to walk boldly into the throne room and obtain.
B
Yes.
A
Obtain grace, mercy, help in time of need.
B
Yeah. Yeah.
A
It's not just, oh, I hope. Let's pull the slot and see if we get. What is it, three in a row or.
B
I don't know.
A
I don't even know how to do that, but that's what I saw. And that so many people think that their prayer life is like, if we just pray long enough, if we just cry hard enough, if we just beg a little bit, maybe. Maybe we can pry open his hand and he'll answer this time. That's not him. It's not our Father.
B
The thing is. The thing is, so what we're going to God for is answers. And in the different cases where the Word gives us our answer already. Right, right. You're not praying to get your answer. You're getting your answer and then praying. So Brother Hagin used to say, go to the word before. Before you pray, why? Find out what God has to say about your situation. And again, this is just. We're not criticizing anybody, right? But this is just religious tradition. It's just, well, I got a needle. Just go ask God, beg God, whatever the case may be. And the way we'll know his answer is we'll wait and see how the circumstances turn out. So we'll ask for healing. And if we die, then we know it wasn't his will. And if we get better, we know it was his will. But then how could you ever practice one John 5:14 if we ask anything according to his will. No, you see, you got to look in the will before you go to ask. Basic, yes. Apologies. No. No. People miss it in the basic. They miss it in the basics. Amen. Well, listen, there's. There's a lot. I said maybe way too much. I don't know. But anything else on that, along those lines? Listen, one. So if you're not. If you're not begging God for your answer, if you're not. If you're not trying to get him to do what he's already done, then what's the purpose of prayer? Oh, there's. There's a lot can't. I can't stop and preach that now, you know. But one of the things, listen, is we can make power available through praying corporately. And one of the ways, not the only way we do it, but one of the ways we can do that is by praying in other tongues. And when we do that corporately, oh, we can get some places. We can get some places, take care of some things. And what that does is, you know, those people are talking about who don't know anything to do except roll the dice in prayer when they come, they can still get help because the people who did know how to pray made some power available for them. And so we want to take some time and do that. Amen. And then we'll see what we get in the next. The rest of this week. It might be completely different. It might. We might pick up on some things. But I was particularly led to kind of, you know, because what. Last night was so wonderful, hearing. Hearing some of those things. And sometimes you just want to beat it a little. Beat it in you and take that hammer and hammer it in you a little more. Hammer it in you a little more. We're not trying to get it. We already got it. Glory To God.

Episode: Your Place In Christ | Joel & Amy Siegel | Paducah, KY | JTH Crusades 2024 | Monday AM
Date: May 6, 2024
Speakers: Joel Siegel, Amy Siegel
This episode centers on understanding and embracing "your place in Christ," with a particular emphasis on prayer in the context of New Testament revelation. Joel and Amy Siegel guide the audience through essential truths about what believers already possess in Christ, correcting traditional misunderstandings about how prayer works. The session builds a foundation for confident, effective, and Spirit-led prayer and concludes with a dynamic time of corporate prayer and prophetic intercession for the nation and the world.
“Prayer is not about getting what you want from God; you already have what you want from God. In most cases, it’s a matter of people not understanding and realizing that they already have what they’re trying so hard to get.”
— Joel Siegel (11:38)
“If any man be in Christ, he’s what he used to—No, no, no! Old things, all things, those are passed away and all things are become new. We’re new creatures in Christ—that’s who we are!”
— Joel Siegel (26:50)
“There’s a connection between the end time plan of God and the prayer life of His people...If we’re prayer ignorant, we’ll not take our place.”
— Joel Siegel (37:15)
“You can have the same confidence that Jesus had. You ought to be able to say when you go to prayer, ‘Father, I thank You that You hear me always.’”
— Joel Siegel (44:19)
“He gave us the confidence to walk boldly into the throne room and obtain grace, mercy, help in time of need.”
— Amy Siegel (41:04)
“If God’s dealing with me to get basic, get foundational, then I’m not authorized to bypass that and get juicy. Because it wouldn’t be juicy, it would fall. It would be a disaster.”
— Joel Siegel (39:21)
“We have authority in another realm…We can influence offices even as far as Washington D.C. and even beyond that. Right. We actually have a place, and Jesus can’t take our place, just like we can’t take his place…”
— Joel Siegel (37:52)
“For most people, prayer is like, okay, listen, I’ll do a little scratching…see if today’s my number…Prayer is not about random chance!”
— Joel Siegel (45:43)
"You’re not praying to get your answer, you’re getting your answer and then praying."
— Amy Siegel (41:49–47:05)
“The story shall be told that those that saw darkness saw great light…Thank you for the messengers of light…those who’ll say, ‘Here am I, send me; inconvenience me for your cause!’”
— Joel Siegel (56:25–57:25)
The episode powerfully unpacks what it means to “take your place” in Christ, especially in prayer. By building foundational truths—who you are, what you possess in Christ, and how that informs prayer—Joel and Amy Siegel empower listeners to move from begging God to boldly participating in His end-time purposes. The time of corporate prayer is marked by both thanksgiving and bold, prophetic intercession for the world and the church.
