We hear it all the time: “Prayer is powerful.” But do you ever feel like your prayers—aren’t? The book of James offers an encouraging look at how prayer can become one of the most powerful parts of your faith.

Have you ever won an argument—but walked away feeling like it wasn’t actually worth it? Maybe you settled your case, but you lost a relationship in the process. Pride hurts everyone. Yet while the world loves winning, God loves humility.

Have you ever left a conversation thinking, “Well, that escalated quickly”? Whether it's with a spouse, friend, coworker, or family member, it's sometimes too easy to say something you'll regret—and tear someone down in the process. In a world where our words carry so much power, it’s up to us to use them for good.

Generosity sounds great in theory, but when it comes down to practicing it, there can be tension. Vacations, home projects, dinners out…all SO tempting. But James reminds us of what’s important—helping people in need. On our own, we may not be able to do much, but together, we can do a lot.

Looking the part isn’t the same as living it out. Faith is too important to fake. It’s time to take your faith beyond the weekend.

The toughest decisions happen somewhere between what you want, what others think, and what God may be leading you toward. With so many voices speaking into our lives, how do we know what's just good...and what's God?

Think of your biggest problem—and reframe it. It may just be your greatest opportunity for growth, strength, joy, and a deeper relationship with God.
