Tik Tok is largely young people. I guess I have a warm spot for TikTok that I didn't have originally. But you know, I went on Tik Tok and I won young people by 30 and Republicans typically don't do too well with young people. But it's a different Republican party. You take 50% of TikTok for the approval that TikTok can continue in business and they'd have a great partner. The US would be their partner, but the US essentially would be paid for doing that half of the value of TikTok. Every rich person told me about TikTok and remember, TikTok is largely about kids, young kids. If China is going to get information about young kids, I don't know, I think we have bigger problems than that. I think TikTok is not their biggest problem.

Speaking of JLo, how happy are you that her candidate lost? It's so delightful. These Hollywood celebrities who get up there and try to tell us how to vote. Really? I mean, like those celebrities who know nothing about anything. All JLO knows about what to do is to ruin marriages. She's an expert at that. Why shs try to ruin the country too. So goodbye. Jlo. Didn't work out for you?

And other states who are still self suffering from a hurricane that took place many months ago or more recently, Los Angeles where we are watching fires still tragically burn from weeks ago without even a token of defense. They're raging through the houses and communities, even affecting some of the wealthiest and most powerful individuals in our country, some of whom are sitting here right now. They don't have a home any longer. That's interesting, but we can't let this happen. Everyone is unable to do anything about it. That's going to change.

Release Date: January 22, 2025
Hosts: Raúl Molinar (El Pelón), Paola Sasso (La Mala), Andrés Maldonado (El Feo)
Produced by: Uforia Podcasts
In this episode of El Bueno, la Mala y el Feo, the trio delves into the latest buzz surrounding Elon Musk, particularly focusing on his controversial greeting that has been likened to a Hitler salute. The hosts blend humor with sharp commentary, dissecting the implications of Musk's actions within the broader context of public figures and their influences.
Raúl Molinar ("El Pelón") initiates the discussion by recounting recent headlines about Elon Musk's greeting gesture, sparking debates across social media platforms. He humorously exaggerates the situation, saying, “¡Chisme, chisme! Qué onda con Elon Musk y su saludo… parece que está buscando una nueva audiencia” ([02:15]).
Paola Sasso ("La Mala") adds her perspective by comparing Musk's gesture to historical symbols, raising questions about intent and perception.
Andrés Maldonado ("El Feo") chimes in with a light-hearted take, suggesting that perhaps it’s all a publicity stunt. “Tal vez Elon solo quiere más atención en sus proyectos y este fue el camino que eligió” ([06:45]).
The hosts analyze the varied public reactions, noting the split between supporters who view Musk as a visionary and critics who are concerned about the implications of his actions.
Paola counters with another perspective, sharing a quote from a tech enthusiast: “Musk siempre rompiendo moldes, esto no es diferente” ([11:25]).
The conversation shifts to the responsibilities of public figures in maintaining certain standards of behavior. Andrés argues that as influential individuals, their actions are under constant scrutiny and can set precedents. “Cuando figuras como Musk hacen movimientos así, están enviando mensajes más allá de lo que ellos mismos piensan” ([14:50]).
Paola emphasizes the importance of intention versus perception: “Incluso si no fue su intención, el impacto es real y debe ser abordado” ([17:05]).
Raúl points out how quickly social media can amplify controversies, sometimes outpacing the actual news. “Con TikTok y Twitter, un gesto puede volverse viral en minutos, y las interpretaciones no siempre son justas” ([19:40]).
Andrés adds that platforms like TikTok can both help and harm public discourse: “Es una espada de doble filo. Puede educar o desinformar dependiendo de cómo se use” ([22:15]).
The hosts draw parallels between Musk’s situation and past controversies involving other celebrities and leaders. Paola brings up the example of JLo, discussing how celebrities often face backlash for their personal actions: “Mira a JLo, siempre en el ojo público, y esto no es diferente” ([25:30]).
Raúl humorously suggests that this is just part of being in the spotlight: “Es como dicen, sin lluvia no hay arcoíris. Sin controversias, no hay historias interesantes” ([28:05]).
Wrapping up the episode, the hosts reflect on the balance between personal expression and public responsibility.
Raúl closes with a light-hearted note, reminding listeners to take things with a grain of salt and maintain a sense of humor: “Después de todo, si no podemos reírnos un poco, la vida sería muy aburrida” ([34:45]).
This episode of El Bueno, la Mala y el Feo skillfully blends humor with insightful discussions about the responsibilities of public figures, the rapid spread of information on social media, and the public's role in interpreting actions of those in the spotlight. The hosts encourage listeners to maintain a balanced view, recognizing the complexities behind seemingly controversial actions.
