Welcome to the Epic Success Podcast. I am your host, Dr. Shannon Irvin. Okay, I'm gonna spill the tea today about the one skill that you must possess in order to build a profitable and successful online coaching business. And I would love to know, like, are you already a coach or course creator, service provider, somebody getting someone a result from A to B, then this episode is for you. Now, I am going to make this a very power packed podcast episode because this is very specifically for those who are already coaches and maybe they aren't growing the business success that they thought they might have. Or maybe you're dreaming about becoming one and then you're in the nine to five and you have expertise and you're wondering, can I translate that expertise into a business online? And next week's episode I'm actually going to break down for you. How do you package your expertise to become known as an online coach? So make sure you come back next week for that. That's specifically for those of you who are really wanting to take what you've done to be professional up to now. And how do you package that in a way to make a great offer and have people lining up. But I want to start with this week's podcast because I see so many amazing people that have taken the leap, dove into the water, become coaches, and they might have all the marketing strategy, all the shoulds, do you know what I mean? Like that I should be on social, so I'm going to do that. I should do a launch, I should do this, I should do that. But they're lacking the one very important skill that really creates the business success. So I want to talk about that today and I want to talk about the three mistakes that I see online coaches making that is literally stopping their income and their business success. So let's start with those three. Let's get those three out of the way right now. Number one, you can't just use your experience of what you've done and to get somebody a result. Now what do I mean by that? So have you ever had that? I'm going to tell you a story about one time being on a coaching call. This is early in my career and I was successful offline, but I was coming into the online space and I really wanted to know, like, how do I package up that expertise? How do I make an offer? How do I make an offer? 1 to many, all those things. And I enrolled in a program and the coach at the time started telling me what to do and she was saying, okay, here's what I did. And she just started unraveling what she did. But unfortunately, she didn't think the way I thought. So when she said go live the very beginning, I froze anyone else. Like I'm like, go live. You mean like let people see me talk. Like, what do I do? Right. So even though maybe what she was saying was accurate, I wasn't actually coached. Meaning my brain stopped me in that moment and I didn't go any further. And guess what? She lost me as a client because I wasn't getting the results. But think about the results that I wasn't getting. Was it that she told me the wrong thing? No, but it's that she didn't have this one key skill to move me past my subconscious programs into results. So number one, you can't just use your expertise and that be enough to get someone the results that thereafter. And in reality, I hate to break this to you, but nobody wants a coach. Everyone buys coaching to get the results that they want. So if we're not getting 100% transformational results 100% of the time, no matter how much experience you have, the experience that you don't have is you're not them. And so you need that skill to be able to get them brain based results. We'll talk about that in a second. Number two, you cannot use the do as I do. Now. It sounds the same. One is based on here's the experience I have, so I'm going to share my experience. The other one is follow my recipe. And it's very similar to the first one. If I'm following a recipe and I get to a point, if there's no conflict, no brain breaks, no stops, no limiting beliefs that are stopping me at that point, then I will get those results. But the second that I hit a limiting belief about the steps, you're telling me that's when I stop getting results. And so the do as I do, or here's my experience, follow my experience methodology doesn't get you the business success that you want because you will not get your clients the results that they're looking for each and every time. And I'm going to make a few of you mad. There's nothing wrong with what I'm about to say. I'm just saying it's not complete. So you cannot use language shifting programs like NLP or some of the different models out there, like think differently, like, oh, there's the thought, think differently. Because that is not how your brain allows a result. It's not that they're bad. I'm I'm pro nlp, pro vision boards, pro affirmations, pro, all that stuff. But it's incomplete in terms of being a coach, getting somebody a transformation. Now with those tools you might get a temporary shift, but the permanent brain based results that you want to get for your clients, it will fall short time after time after time. So I probably, if you're listening to this and you're like, I know this is what's been happening, like I get results for some that are very similar to me, but those that are a little bit different than me, I don't seem to be able to help them get to the finish line, get the results that they paid for. And so they don't refer, they don't renew and they don't go and tell everybody about me. They don't renew every time, they don't stay. So the key skill that you must acquire, and I really am passionate about this because I course we've created a model that allows you to have access to this and it is, you have to get your clients results. Would we agree? Like if you do not help people get past what's stopping and blocking them, they're not going to get to the finish line of whatever strategy you're trying to teach them, whether it's in life, in health, in business. So you have to have the skill to be able to get 100% transformational results 100% of the time for each and every client, for each and every client. And that is really what we call in our world brain based results coaching. Meaning their foot's on the gas. You're giving them the steps, you're giving them what to do. But when their foot is on the brake because of subconscious patterns, you've got to know how to, how the brain allows the results, how it stops it and how to clear it. And so that's the key skill. And if you feel like you're not 100% of the time getting results for your client, this, my friend, is the thing that once you add it to your coaching business or if you start with it, then you become that sought after coach in your niche and it's less likely you need to go out and do these massive launches and massive funnels because your clients so rave in the marketplace about you that people do line up to work with you.
