Hello, everyone, and welcome to Everything Iconic with me, Danny Pellegrino. Those were clips from the very first Housewives of Orange county tagline season one. And now we are in season 20. I cannot believe we've made it to season 20 historic season. And we're going to be celebrating by recapping the real houses of Orange county on this podcast. We also have another 20th anniversary celebration coming in August. They're doing the ultimate girls trip where they're collecting a bunch of wives. It's like a group of them are going on a road trip and then they're meeting up with other wives from other cities. And there's going to be so many people involved. Nini comes back. I'm excited about that. See her appearance on the network for the first time and years and years and plenty of other housewives as well. And I can't wait for that. I've heard it's really great. So that's going to be coming in August, but for now, we're celebrating season 20 of the Real House of Orange County. And I can't even believe that we're on season 20 because I remember watching early seasons. I mean, I. I think I started my Housewives journey in the Real Houses of New York that very first season. That's when I hopped on board and then I went back. There had been by that point a couple seasons of Orange county, and then I went back and watched them. So I've been with this franchise almost 20 years. Not quite 20 years. I don't know when Roni started, but that was. That was my first introduction to the gals and going behind the gates of Cota de Gaza and then around that time, too. It's so interesting to look at what the network was because back then it was inside the Actors Studio and Showbiz Moms and Dads and Workout then came which was one of my faves. And there were so many early Bravo shows. But Orange county really started what we know of the Bravo network now. And those first couple of seasons weren't the Housewives. I think a lot of what the format has become can be attributed to when Tamra joined the Real Houses of Orange county, because that's when the show sort of shifted and became about this group of women and the drama and conflict and resolution. Because before that, we were just sort of peeking in on these people. You know what's interesting, though, is on I was thinking about this with Jersey Shore. I'd been seeing some clips pop up on my social media of early Jersey Shore. It's still going on. They do the family vacation, but the original Jersey Shore. I was watching these clips where they were in a cab and it was so fascinating to me because JWOWW was like. It was jwoww, Sammy Snooki and Angelina. They were all in the back of the cab. Probably season one or two of the Real House of Jersey Shore. And they were arguing in the back of a cab. And it was just a regular taxi cab. It obviously had a camera in it. But otherwise, like, JWoww was not buckled in. They were also clown carring it. They were jammed in the back. And jwoww was like getting up to fight Angelina or they were arguing back and forth. And I was thinking, even just something like that wouldn't happen today because now everything has to be cleared. And you can't just throw a camera in the back of a cab. And certainly the cab driver wouldn't want to film like that because they'd be like, it's against the law. They're not buckled in. And so there are so many different protections now. But if you look back at those early seasons of reality tv, it was just the wild, wild west where cameras were going wherever the they were, chasing after the people. Now everything feels very strategic. Like if they're doing a scene at a dinner scene, they have to have the restaurant cleared. The crew arrives beforehand. Even though they film those scenes where it's like Heather Dubrow walking up to the host stand and be like, I have a reservation for five for Dubrow. It's like, that's all bullshit made up because the production crew's already in the room that they're filming in. The lights are set up, the camera people are set up, and it's just not the same as it used to be. And sometimes I think, oh, I wish we could go backwards. I wish we could go backwards a little bit. I wish we could have a little bit more of that cinema verte, a little bit more of the just following people around with cameras and trying to get what you get and then editing it later. I missed that a little bit. I've been claiming or clamoring for them to go back to on the fly confessionals. Meaning when they leave a dinner scene, the producers should follow some of the cast members and ask them questions about the dinner scene instead of filming it months later when they're in that confessional chair. It's like, I wish they would film it at the dinner scene. And if you notice, this season of Atlanta, they've kind of gone back to that. And there's been a couple times, I think, when they've interviewed Shamia after an interview, after a dinner where they got her on the street talking about the dinner that she was just at. And I miss that. And I hope they go back to that more, because they did it a little bit on Atlanta this season, and so I'm hopeful. And it looks like in Orange county, they're really going back into the well and they're gonna have all these other people coming by throughout the season. It seems like we get Gina this episode. I think Vicky called Gina on the phone, and I would like to catch up a little more with Gina. It seems like she pops in. Every season or every couple of seasons, we get a Gina appearance, but I kind of want a little more. But this week's episode of the Real Houses of Orange county opens with Vicki, who's back now. She got an orange back. And I'm happy for Vicki. I know Vicki's a bit of a monster. I know a lot. Vicki's very lover or haters. And even though she's someone to me that, like, I don't know that I need any interaction in my real life with someone like that. You know what I'm saying? But I like watching on my tv, and that's where I'm at with Vicky. And even when she was, like, a nuisance at the end of her run, remember at the reunion where she's, like, screaming in the saying, stop filming me. You know, she's screaming in the dressing room. And her last reunion appearance, even then, I still want her to come back. Like, to me, Vicki is Orange County. And so, unfortunately, I do like her on this show, and I'm happy they gave her the orange back. I never thought they would give her the orange back. I thought they would maybe bring her back as a friend or guest appearance or something. But she's back. She got the orange back. So she calls Gina at the beginning of this episode. She's like, I can't believe it's been 20 years. And then we get this montage with, like, that. The sad finale Orange county music, which I love. I'm sorry. This just, like, ignites something in me, this music. It's like, I feel free. I feel like I feel so free. In the words of Madonna's new Confessions on a Dance Floor album, somebody needs to remix this. Madonna needs to get on the microphone and remix this song or this instrumental or somebody put some lyrics to this. Do we not have anyone? Can Dua Lipa or someone. Rihanna. I mean, somebody get in the studio. Rihanna. I know she's busy with the kids, but, like, we need new music from Rihanna, and I needed to remix Orange county music or Adele. Adele. Let's. Hello from the other side. Let's get this into a ballad. Could you imagine Adele singing like, hello from the other side? I love it. I love it. Anyway, yeah. Vicky's calls up Gina, and then she's like, oh, the OG of the OC Is back. And she's been through it on this show, really, the kids, the everything. And then we see a cast photo when we open with Puerto Riverda, and Vicki and Shannon are on the sand. Shannon can't walk on the sand. And I don't know that I could do another season of Shannon's Pratt Falls. I just. You guys know how I feel about that. She's very much Kathy comic coated. And I don't love when my Shannon is just walking around, stumbling, falling, running into things and being. It just feels like a bit. It feels like she's doing Three Stooges or something. And then seeing her and Vicky at one point in this episode just falling on the beach in the sand, I'm like, ugh. I know I just said how much I wanted Vicky back, but when I see her doing pratfalls with Shannon Storm's fedora, I'm like, I can't do this. I don't find it funny. I'm not getting a laugh out of it. I'm not doing a Heather Dubrow laugh out of it. But Vicky says she's at more peace. She's definitely at peace since leaving and buying a house in Mexico. And she's got this boyfriend, Michael. She lives in La Quinta and Cota de Casa, and she wants Shannon to get a house in Mexico, but Shannon's busy. She got a new dog who's terrorizing her home. Ate the passport. And she says she goes to dinner alone. And then they get. The two of them get a foot massage on the beach. And it makes me sad. I don't know. It just makes me sad. Vicki's still working 10 to 12 hours a day and cannot slow down. You know, she loves to work. Remember when she used to just ask People, do you work? And she would ask them on camera, like, while they're working on the show. That was my favorite early seasons of Orange county, when Vicki would just a new gal would join the show and she'd be like, do you work? And. And we'd be all watching at home, and it's like, actually, they're working right now. Like, they're on camera. They're on a TV show. But Vicky, ever the trailblazer, was always just like, do you work? And she kind of is on the same level as Andy Cohen. Because Andy Cohen would always say to these people, I've heard him say in interviews, like, don't quit your jobs when you do reality tv, because then you're completely relying on reality tv and it's not reliable because they could fire you at any second. The edit can change. The edit can change. Which this is another reason why I'm excited to cover Orange County Housewives, because I've also been recapping the Valley, and that's getting to the point of the season where it's getting not fun to recap because the audience is so tribal and divided on the Valley, where it's like, you're either on Team Danny and Nia or you're not on Team Danny and Nia. And then the audience is just like, everybody's arguing with each other. And it takes a lot of the fun out of it. Like, I like. I like when we can all have some laughs and make fun of all the people equally. You know what I'm saying? Or call out people. But it's like, people get very tribal. It's like they're on a team and then they don't want to get off that team. And I think you need to go on the ride. But I remember Andy Cohen always just saying, like, don't quit your jobs because you never know when the edit's going to turn on you and the audience is going to turn on you, and then you're cut from the show and then you're out of a job. You're fired. Like, all the people they've been bringing back the last couple of years. Remember Bellino? Alexis Bellino came back on the show with her Johnny J. Johnny J. And then last season, they brought back Gretchen Wiener or Gretchen Gretchen Christine Butte. And then they got rid of Gretchen, Christine Buttay. And so she probably thought she had job security for at least a couple years, but she came back for one season. They said, you're fired. You're done. And so she had to go back to the Handbags or whatever else she's doing with Slade. So, you know, don't lose the job. And so Vicki, she never quit that job. She's been on the show 100 years, and she's still to this day working 10 to 12 hours a day. Cannot slow down. But then Vicki and Sheena, this is when they're both falling down on the beach. And somebody was like, we need a medic. And it's like, ugh, I can't do this. I cannot do that. Then we cut to Heather, thank God, and she's dyeing some silk scarves with Casita, who's engaged. Casita and Hip are who I lovingly refer to as Gina and Emily. So if you're new to the podcast, Hip and Casita are Gina and Emily or Emily and Gina, Hip and Casita. And that's because in the tagline, remember that one? Emily and the tagline was yelling Hip. And there was that one season where Gina kept saying Casita. And so it was like a term of endearment. But you know what's so funny is, like, at the Oscars. Remember the Oscars, I hosted the Elton John after party red carpet. So Elton John always does this after party for the first AIDS Foundation. And I was hosting the carpet. And so there are all these big celebrities there, and I was working with them and people. So I was like the first person on the red carpet because it was with the foundation. And so these celebrities, you know, we never knew who we were going to get of, like, who was coming out. We kind of had an idea, but it was like, big stars. They'd be like, oh, we got this person. It's like, we got Fran Drescher. Go talk to her. And I was like, oh, I got to. But then at one point in the evening, as I'm hosting and so I'm interviewing these people as they come on the red carpet, I saw Hip and Casita. They were there at the event. And so of course, I was like. So I was like, oh, I gotta talk to Hip and Casita. And then at one point, I did reference them as Hip and Casita. Now, this was an Oscars after party. And then People magazine, like, posted the clip, and I was. I think I called them Hip and Casita, their face. And I didn't. It was maybe. Maybe not the proper atmosphere to do such a thing. But then, you know, I sort of forget. Like, I just so naturally call them that, and it's said with love. And they've been on this show a hundred years now, so Hip and Casita are here to say. But anyway, I did feel bad after the Oscar event. I was like, oh, I hope. I probably. They were all in these gorgeous Oscar outfits and at this beautiful Oscar event, and then I'm just like, on the carpet, like, Hip and Casita. Oh, goodness. Anyway, yeah, Heather's got this event where dyeing the silk scarves, and I think they're just running out of events. And I don't know how this happened, but I'm not sure anyone's. It's not something I've heard of everyone dyeing silk scarves. But Casita, I did mention she's engaged and she's got. I was a little confused. She's got a fake ring. Was that it? Like, Heather clocked it, but I didn't. So she's. I was confused about the fake ring. I didn't understand. Tamara, meanwhile, arrived with canned drinks. Now, at the end of the reunion last season, everybody did seem to hate Tamra, but the show needs Tamra to go on, whether we like it or not. So she's here whether you like Tamra or not. She's here because the show needs her. And so I think last season they didn't like her. And probably if it was up to the cast members, I would, in my gut, says that if it was up to the cast, they would not want Tamara to stick around. But they've all accepted it by this point. We're on season 20. It's like, okay, we're Tamara's around, but she herself, Tamara is mad that last season they took a picture without her at the end of the reunion because again, they hate her. And Heather says, oh, I wasn't even thinking of you. I was just thinking about myself and how I looked in the picture at the end of the reunion. And then Tamra reveals that they all went to dinner and they invited Gretchen to dinner and not Tamara. So that was what was going on. They didn't invite Tamara to the group dinner after the reunion. Meanwhile, there's also this information about. I mentioned that Ultimate Girls trip that's going to be airing in August. Tamara reveals at the Ultimate Girls Trip they filmed at the Quiet Woman, and Tamara and Shannon had a fight there. And Tamara says that Shannon's a mess, can't get a house or a man. That's what she said at the dinner. And then Shannon called her a drunk or something. You know, the Quiet Woman. I hope that they're given sending Bravo a bouquet of flowers or Edible Arrangement or something, because we'd never heard of The Quiet Woman. And now I'm like, the Quiet Woman's the historical landmark. That's a historical landmark. And I've been there myself. I have been there myself. So I know that this is an important piece of Bravo history herstory. And so the Quiet Woman. I don't know if they get a lot of tourists in there, but I would imagine a lot of people. Same with Andalus. I bet there's a lot of these places that people come in and just like, I've seen it on Housewives and to eat there. And that's how the Quiet Woman is. I'm sure there's a million people that show up every day and just say, it's not my plate, you fucking bitch. They order some chicken tenders or something, a quesadilla, and they're just like, it's not my plate, you fucking bitch. And then they film it for social media, and that's. They still have to pay for it. So the Quiet Woman's getting a nice kickback from Bravo. And so I'm happy for them. I'm happy for them. But it seems like they fight there on the Ultimate Girls Trip. Oh, this was the thing, though, with. So I mentioned the Oscars red carpet with Hip and Casita. So the reason I called them in the clip, if you go on the People, it was on the People magazine. They posted it. But I had asked Hip and Casita if they show up on the Ultimate Girls Trip. And they say they weren't invited. And I was like, Hip and Casita weren't invited on Ultimate Girls Trip. And then that's the clip that went out. But it was. They weren't invited Ultimate Girls Trip. And that's fascinating to me because Bravo invited just about everyone. Like, even Jill Zarin's gonna be popping up on that Ultimate Girls Trip season coming up. Like, even Jill fucking Zarin. And they didn't invite Hip and Casita to show up to the Quiet Woman in their town, which is like, that's crazy. But Heather said that the other housewives from the other franchises were looking and thought it was crazy and never saw anything like it. And I wish they would have showed a clip to tease that, because it's like, it would have been a perfect opportunity to show us a little clip from the upcoming Ultimate Girls Trip. But at least in the episode, the screener that I was sent, I didn't see it. They should have showed it right then and there. Right then and there. I do think it's fascinating, though, how different franchises have different ways of fighting, different communication styles, different way that they're produced. Because if you don't know this, but a lot of the shows are produced by different companies. So even though they're all under the Bravo umbrella, it's like Orange county is produced by a different production company that does Atlanta or that does Potomac. Like, they're all. Some of them overlap. Like, I think Beverly Hills and Orange county might have the same production company. And I might be getting that wrong. But so some of them overlap, and then some of them are just different. And you notice, like, Beverly Hills, the frequency with which they fight is different than the frequency that Salt Lake City wives fight. And so that's. That's interesting. The thing that I'm hearing about Salt Lake City coming up is that, like, they're doing more individual stuff. Because you remember for the past, like, few seasons on Salt Lake City, it's all been about the group. Like, every scene is a group scene. And the thing that I've heard behind the scenes or whatever is that they're going back a little bit to where it's different. Everybody's gonna get some individual stuff anyway. Then we cut to Vicki and Shannon. Vicki's got the bad knees. Shannon's just. I'm doing ack. And they go to Andalus and they do a wahoo. And there's a donkey there for some reason, and they should. I don't know that any bar should have donkeys. I'm sorry. I just don't feel that's something that a bar needs. I don't like the wild animals being in places they're not. Like, let them be in the wild. Like a donkey. Let him be in a farm somewhere or like some. Some sort of other area or something. Like, I don't need the donkey whooping it up. And Andalus, like, we have enough. There's enough chaos and enough human animals in the bars that I've seen that we don't need donkeys just roaming around. Not to mention there's a stink that comes from a donkey. There's a sound you know, I hate. I'm sorry to donkeys if they're listening, but I hate the sound a donkey makes. They go like, I hate. Do you know that sound? Like, I find that. And I know I know animal sounds right now because we're teaching the. I got. My son's a year old now, so we're teaching him everything. Every song, every nursery rhyme's about the cow goes moo. There's that one song where it goes, oh, Old Macdonald where it's like, you say, there's a cow. Old MacDonald had a farm. Ei, ei yo. And then you say the cow. And then you go, and a moo moo here and a moo moo there. And I always think of Tom Schwartz wearing a moo moo every time we say amumu there. Anyway, all those nursery rhymes, they're about, like, animal sounds and stuff. And the donkeys always like. Meanwhile, does anyone watch Ms. Rachel? I hate to get us off track here, but the sound she makes for elephants, she always says hurro. And I'm like, I don't think that's what an elephant does. Like, I need to get this off my chest. Actually, parents out there know what I'm talking about. Ms. Rachel, she's always like, and what does an elephant say? How roo. And I'm like, that's not. I've never. I don't. Not that I knew exactly, like, what sound an elephant makes. Like, I know they make that sound with their nose, but it. It doesn't sound to me like Haru. Like, I feel like I'm doing one of those. You remember in the Sunday paper those magic eye things where it's like you put it up to your face and then you're supposed to back it up a little bit, and then you could see a different image. When I was a kid, I was never able to do that. You never see the other image. And I feel like it's sort of the same with Ms. Rachel when she's saying the elephant sounds like Haru. I'm like, that's not the elephants. I know, like, what they say anyway, back to the point of, like, a donkey. I do not care for the sound they make. So I don't want to be in a bar and hear, like, the donkey sound. No bar and justice for the donkeys. They're trying to do too much on the Housewives with animals. Started with the goat yoga, and it's. Now they're having donkeys at Andalus. And we have to draw the line here. I don't know if PETA needs to step in. PETA needs to call up Bravo hq, get Andy on the line and say, you need to stop putting animals everywhere in these shows because it's not like we're. I don't feel like we're doing animal activism. Remember back in the day, there was a time when I remember Bethany Franklin on top of a building getting naked and taking photos for PETA, and that was animal activism. I think, in some way, probably and now we just have a donkey in the middle of Andalay's bar. Like, that's. How have we gone so far? What's next? What's next? Is donkey gonna be a quiet woman? Is there gonna be a rooster at Karen. Karen Huger's house? What are we doing? Actually, that wouldn't be that out there if Karen had a rooster at her house, would it? I don't know. Probably the Potomac premiere is just going to be Karen and a rooster. Now that I said that. Okay, so then let's see the donkeys there. Vicki's boyfriend Michael shows up. They're four years into the relationship. Vicki says he feels her emotional love tank. God bless. God bless. We have to take a break here, but we just getting started, baby. We're just getting started. So buckle up, buttercup. I want to thank Acast. And we'll be right back. I was thinking recently about the pets I had growing up. There was always some sort of animal running around. And even though especially our dog drove us crazy, sometimes they're really part of the family. You worry about them. You celebrate the little victories they have, and you do about anything to keep them happy and healthy. So. So today's episode is sponsored by the ASPCA Pet Health Insurance Program. We talk about mental health a lot more openly now than we used to, and I think that's really a great thing. But even with all that progress, asking for help can still be surprisingly difficult, especially if you're someone who's never tried therapy before. I love therapy. Been seeing therapists for years, but BetterHelp is a great way to start. In fact, BetterHelp's 2026 State of Stigma report surveyed two and revealed that 85% of Americans believe getting support is wise, yet 74% say society discourages people from doing so. That's an interesting disconnect, because I think most of us agree that getting support is a positive thing, yet there's still this hesitation around actually taking that step. And one way we can close that gap is by continuing to have honest conversations and reminding the people we care about that it's okay to ask for help. Sometimes hearing someone say, hey, have you thought about talking to therapists can really make a huge difference. And BetterHelp has over 30,000 therapists served more than 6 million people globally. They match you with a licensed therapist based on a short questionnaire, and if the match isn't right, you can switch to a different therapist from their recommendation at any time. They do a lot of the matching work so you can focus on your goals. Don't let stigma stand in the way of support. Start therapy with BetterHelp. The real house of Orange County. You know, I'm drinking my coffee, and you know how in the Starbucks cup, how they write so words on it? And normally my Starbucks, when I get it, it says enjoy. But today it says boom with an exclamation point. And it reminds me of this guy I used to know. He would. He would always walk into every party, every house, every whatever. And he'd be, boom. And he. So annoying. Sort of reminds me of Danny from the Valley. When he's walking into every scene, he's like, let's go. Like, there was this guy I knew, it was everywhere he walked in, he'd be like, boom. Boom. And it was like. Like a get the party started kind of thing. But it wasn't in the pink way. It was in the, like, annoying way where it's like, now I don't even want to start a party because you're walking into every party saying boom. Anyway, the coffee, it says boom today. And it's like, what? Who wrote fucking boom on it? What does that mean, even? I guess. I don't know. Anyway, back to the real houses of Orange County. Jen Pedrante. Am I saying that last name right? Anyway, she's with Hip, who's in a fur. They say they're close now. And Hip orders a bowl of chicken and a margarita. I guess she's. She looks great. She's on a health journey. Her kids are doing well. She did the son last season. Of course, she was talking about Luke. And she gives a little update. She said the kids are doing well. She got some laser treatment on Luke's brain and he went to a new school. But I was more fascinated by the order of a bowl of chicken and a margarita because, look, I don't know. I don't know. Jen reveals that her son Grayson got pulled over, though, for driving 105 on the freeway or something. It's like, I'm so. I hate to say but, like, lock him up. Like, what do you mean, driving 105? I live in California. I don't want to see anybody driving 105. And she does say that he's sorry a little bit, but I don't think any. I don't think they were sorry enough. Her other kid was, like, laughing about it, and I'm like, 105 is crazy. Like, it's not. You're not going 70 in a 65 on the freeway or something. It's like 105 is very dangerous, and I do not care for that. And so I draw the line. And so Jen, it's. It seemed like Jen was taking it seriously, but they all weren't taking it seriously enough. And I don't feel that anyone should be ever able to drive again. If you're going 105, there's no area that's 105. I'm sorry to get. Maybe I'm a little too, too crazy about this, but I was, like, livid when I heard that he got pulled over for going 105. And what, he just got a little ticket or something? I feel like you should have to go to jail or something. Did he go to jail? I don't think he did. I'm not saying everybody should just be happening in jail, but I do feel like they should. There should be stronger consequences for going 105. 105. 105 miles per hour. That's crazy. That's crazy. And I don't like that as someone. Now I'm a. I'm a bad driver, but I'm a slow and safe driver. Does that make sense? Like, I have a kid now, so I go real slow. I'm like a little old lady on the road. And if I see someone going over the speed limit, you better believe I give them that evil eye. I just give him a glare right out the window. I just give. I give him a strongly furrowed glare. I did recently get Botox, so it's maybe not as mobile as I normally like to give a glare. I think. I don't know if I told people about my Botox journey. I recently. I never got the Botox in my head before and I. I didn't. I would normally do it in my jaw for the masseter and I did it in my head. And I didn't realize, like, the guy was like a new person that I went to. He's great. But he just sort of started going like, I didn't. He didn't really ask me or like, I didn't have much say in it. He just started poking around with that needle on my forehead. And then all of a sudden, a week later, I was like, oh, I can't move things. And it scared me. Scared me a little bit. So anyway, when I see people on the road going fast, I give them a very strong furrowed brow. And I'm hoping the Botox will wear off quickly because I need to furrow that brow a little more and they didn't put much in. I could still move it. But you know what I'm saying, it sort of scared me. And especially if I got to be watching out for Jen Pedranti's son driving 105 on the freeway or the side streets or wherever the fuck he was. And by the way, they all should take a class at the dmv. That's what they should be doing. Instead of dyeing some silk scarves on the real house of Orange County. They all need to take a driving course because let's not forget that Shannon Beador also drove into somebody's kitchen with Archie in the passenger seat. And so maybe it's time that instead of doing silk scarf dyeing or whatever the fuck they're doing or whatever Heather's big party was or Shannon with the Valentine mahjong, maybe they need to go take a DMV course and just the whole cast thing. Cast and the kids and everybody needs to take it because you mean to tell me your son's going to 105 in Orange County. That's unsafe. And I don't feel comfortable with that. And so Jen, you need to get your kid's ass in a class and a jail cell and whatever else is going to make them stop driving 105. And I don't like how the brother was laughing about it. It's not a haha hehe moment. 105. I'm sorry, I just spent 10 minutes on that. But somebody needs to because I was livid. Then Shannon and Vicki, we see them again. Vicki and Tamara. They didn't talk for a year and a half but I guess they're good now. And there was footage of Tamara after that chemical peel which is always such a jump scare when I see Tamara after that one. Do you know what I'm talking about? That footage of her with the chemical peel. And she was in the. In the footage they showed she was like clapping back at Vicki because at that time they were not getting along. But now Vicki wants the relationship with Tamara again after the sepsis happened. It's just so stupid. I love it. I love it, I love it. The Tamara looks good though. What was that chemical peel? Do I. We need to do that? Do I need to do that? What was that? I'm sort of scared of chemical peels. But do I need to do one? There's too many things to think about now. I keep hearing everybody talk about the Peptides now. Do you hear. Do you hear everybody talking about Peptides? And I'm a little confused. What a peptide is because I just keep hearing the word. Like, oh, I'm. They're on the peptides. And it's like. But it's not the same as ozempic, right? Like, is ozempic a peptide? But there's other peptide. I don't know. I need to research this. I just feel like I keep hearing the word peptide. Peptide. You could do the peptides around the peptides. I even saw Terry debroes speaking of Orange County. I saw him on a social media clip talking about peptides and people don't know what a peptide is. I don't know. Then we cut to Jen and Hip again. Jen said that Heather led the charge after the reunion when they all went to dinner about Tamara. And Jen is pissed about it because she's like, now Heather and Tamara are friends. And I think one of the things we learned last season is like Heather is just genuinely a little afraid of Tamara. And so they're still going after that. But I thought we sort of buried that last season because there was that allegation last year of Heather not saying to Tamara's face how she really feels. And so I thought we all just sort of accepted, like, yeah, Heather's like a little afraid of Tamara and doesn't want to start any shit with her. And so they just have like a truce for the. They have an alliance for the show. I thought that was all just like accepted, but now Jen's going in on it again. Jen's like, I'm gonna bring it back up. Meanwhile, Tamara's at home. Sophia, the daughter, is moving out and not doing music school. Hip's at home with Annabelle. And Hip says Annabelle's now like a scary teenager feral disaster. Jen's at home with Grayson, who's 17. And this is again the kid who. He was joking about the ticket. Oh. All he had to do was pay $700. $700 for the ticket. I hate to get into like a bigger issue here, but there's a problem with our, our. I don't. Police force or government or whatever, when the fact is a 17 year old kid is driving 105 miles per hour and all he did was get a $700 ticket. Now I know that's like a large, expensive ticket, but still seven. It should be way more than that. I'm sorry, maybe that makes me seem. Maybe I'm too conservative or something for this, but $700, it should be $7 million, quite frankly. I want them all in debt. If you're driving 105 miles per hour. And now you're laughing about it on candy camera on television. You're laughing about it. Grayson, about the ticket for going 105 mph that you only pay $700 for. No electric chair. Moving on. Shannon with the dogs going to the Valentine Mahjong. And she's trying to get a photo. She's trying to get a photo of the dog in front of the sign. And then she calls the daughter Stella, and Stella says that Shannon calls her at 3am her time, and Shannon says it's like menopause. Like Shannon's just up at 3am because of her menopause. I guess that's what they're calling alcohol these days. Moving on. What is that? This is a thing that's come up a million times on the show. And it's like Shannon always calls people in the middle of the night. And it's something that's thrown out there, and no one really dives into it too much. But it is very odd. And it's also kind of sad. And it's been seasons long, so I don't think this is like a new development. But whatever. She's paying, though, $10,500 a month in for a house in Corona del Mar. Is that where she's at? She gets the dog a puppy cup from the coffee place and then drops it. She's being very clumsy. Ack. You know? And then we cut to Vicky's house in Mexico. Billy's there. Billy the brother. Billy's the brother. And he had a. I'd like to talk about this for 45 minutes because Billy reveals that he had a massage at 1am and Vicki says Billy needs woman. And did anyone. How do I say this? How do I be sensitive to everybody's feelings while saying this? Billie had a 1am massage, and Vicky says Billie needs a woman. Was. Did. Gosh, did I miss something over the years or was Vicki maybe joking about that? Or how do I. I thought I had a pretty good gaydar, and I didn't realize, I guess, information about Billy. But Billy, I guess Vicki says needs a woman. And I would have thought that Billy maybe needed a man, but I guess he's getting a 1am massage. But no one gets a 1am massage unless it's like a, you know, sexy kind of massage. Right. I don't. Gosh. Billy maybe get some cameras on him because it sounds like there's some stuff there that we could explore. Seems like there's some storyline that we could explore there with Billy. And so maybe we need to mic up Billy and I would like to know more about him. I always liked him popping up on the show, but I don't. Did I. Did anyone else think that he would have maybe preferred the company of a man instead of a woman? There's nothing wrong with either way. God bless. I just. Not what I thought. And Vicki's worried her son Michael will be like Billy and you know, end up single with The Getting a 1am Massage in Mexico when he's older. And yeah, Vicky also accidentally mentions Brooks, which every time I think about that saga. Woo. That was good tv. That was some good ass tv. They don't make TV like that anymore. And I don't know if today's audiences could even handle that, that storyline with Brooks and the cancer scam because I, you know, a lot of people, we're sensitive now. The audience is way more sensitive than they used to be 10 years ago. Now every time that something happens, you go on social media, everyone's like, fire them for the show. You know, anytime somebody does something like, fire them from the show. Stop giving them a platform on reality tv. And I think there are times that happens. But with the Brooks stuff, that was a different era. And I think if that aired now, the outcry would be too loud and Bravo would have maybe cut around it, fired him early. Instead, they just let it play out for the season. Back in the day, they used to let stuff play out. They would. They didn't care if the audience didn't want to platform someone. They were like, we're gonna let it play out now. I don't know that it would play, but it was such good tv, you guys. I recently went back and watched that season, or I put it. I didn't watch the whole season, but I think it was right before the baby was born. I like went. I put on that season of Orange County. Matt had never seen it. I was like, oh, you got to watch some of this. And it was good that season. I forget. It was Megan King Edmonds, Detective Edmonds. She was onto him. Anyway, then on Orange county, we cut to Casita and Travis, her significant other. And the mom is staying there. Mama Casita is staying at the house. And they work for Gated Group Realty. And she's like killing it. Casita's killing it by selling the casitas. And so she found a lemonade, made lemonade because she was talking to her Casita and now she's selling casitas out the wazoo. So she's. I'm, I'm happy and I'm a little confused because now they live together, and wasn't it, like, just a storyline about how they couldn't be together? And I don't know. I was confused about all of the timeline of, like, Travis and Gina confuses me a little bit, because it seemed like they were on the way, on the outs a couple of years ago, and then now they're engaged and the kids are all living together. But Chavez wants Gina to change the last name, and she should, because the new one's easier for me. And so that's actually one of the big reasons why I would like Gina Casita to change her last name, because her real last name is not Casita. It's Christian Heider or something. And when I'm typing out notes, I think that was one of the reasons why it was easier for me, because especially in the beginning, like, I couldn't. I'm sure a lot of you were like this and might not want to admit it, but when Gina and Emily first joined the show, I had a hard time. I always felt like their names should have been flipped. Like, I remember thinking, emily should have been the Gina, and Gina should have been the Emily. Like, that's how my brain processed. And I felt that way about Meredith and Lisa and Salt Lake City. It felt to me like they should have been switched. And so, anyway, early on, it was really hard typing out the last name. I'm trying to take notes. I'm fast and furious writing down these notes saying, Shannon, taking picture in front of a mahjong. You know, like, I'm trying to write these things out. And I use shorthand sometimes. But it would be easier for me if Gina changed her last name, because just in the future, if I ever need to type out that last name, I don't have to look it up. It's like, do you ever try to type a. Have you ever tried to type the word McConaughey, Matthew McConaughey's last name? It's a nightmare. It's a nightmare. I'm constantly. Anytime I've had to type it out, I just move on. If I'm trying to make a joke or something about Matthew McConaughey, I give up on that joke because it's like, I don't know how to. I gotta Google it. And then even when you Google it, it's like you either have to copy and paste the last name, or my brain just. It's one of those words. And I know I'm a writer, and so this is. This is something I Should probably fix. But the word McConaughey, like, I can't learn it. Like, I just. I can't learn the spelling of it. It's. My brain won't breathe it in, which is an issue. I just saw this study that was like, more people are gambling as a hobby than reading. And I was like, oh, we're fucked. We're fucked. As a human species, we're fucked. Because people aren't reading books no more and nobody knows how to read. The youths don't read, and we're fucked. People aren't going to learn empathy. They're not going to learn words. No one's going to give a fuck about grammar. Like, we're fucked. And I know I say that as someone who has bad grammar often, but the truth is I like to read a book at least, and I'm concerned about the empathy situation, that people are just gambling, but they're not reading books. Anyway, I guess I can't really talk because I still don't know how to spell McConaughey. Moving on. You see Heather with her mom. Who? The mom. They discovered last season that the mom was a bit of a nightmare. Heather's mom. And so they brought her back. Heather moved her in to the California, but she's not in with her. But they got her a little eclectic house apartment. The mom's 84. And the mom says, God created Los Angeles, but he lives in New York. And she wrote that line. Even Heather was like, when did you think of that line? And I like that. I like that she came in prepared. She's ready to give a sound bite. She's ready to become a meme, and that's good. Heather's kids are all moved out, though, except for Ace and one of the kids, what was it? Nick. The one who. Yeah, Nick, later, is in the episode. But he. I guess the big rumor. I guess it's not even a rumor. It's like an open secret that they've been doing Next Gen LA or trying to get that off the ground. So I think they filmed maybe, like a pilot or something. I don't know if it's been officially picked up, but he's on it. And it's so funny to watch this episode and see how, like, Nick is all of a sudden being activated on this show. And we see him arrive at the party later and he gives a speech and it's like, oh, they're all just, like, setting up, him being on that show. And so they're presenting him more. Not that he didn't appear on these episodes before, but it's like they're. They're going to be leaning in now because he's going to be on that Next Gen la. If the. If it goes. If it goes. But I would like to see how there's mom on Next Gen la. Why does the Next Gen have to be young? Can it just be the. The Next Generation that we're seeing on Bravo? Like, it doesn't. Do you see what I'm saying? Like, it doesn't. We can change that format around just because the show is called Next Gen. It could be. It could mean, like, we're gonna watch another gen beside another generation besides the Housewives, which would include Heather's mom. And so mic her up with the young kids. Let's see her with Nick and see what happens. I don't know. Then anyway, they. Oh, this was also interesting. Heather's mom got visited by Adam Sandler or something. Or visited. They were like, fighting about how Heather doesn't visit, didn't used to visit where she lived. And then Heather's mom was like, well, Adam Sandler visited. And I was like, did he come to your house? And what's going on with Adam Sandler? He was just running the Taylor Swift Travis Kelce wedding was efficient. And not only that, he's making 100 grownups movies for Netflix. Every time I open up Netflix, he's doing something. And so I would like him to get a nap. I feel like Adam Sandler's busy visiting Heather's mom, running weddings, crafting grown ups 3. I mean, he's busy. Then Shannon accidentally injects grapeseed oil instead of testosterone. That was something. Something we learned. I guess she was trying to do testosterone injections and instead injected the grapeseed oil. She didn't know what she's. She's just getting that needle and going, ham. She's just. She needs to maybe be a little more careful with what she's putting in. Heather's getting ready for a party. She's, of course, spent 75k on this party, which is crazy. She's losing money on this show by throwing all these expensive parties. But that is what it is. She's got a merch bar, tattoos, and I'm grateful for her doing it. And that's why we need to keep her around, because otherwise, what would these parties be? Because what is. What's Casita? What kind of party is she gonna throw? And no offense to Casita, because if I was on one of these shows too, I would be like, hey, everybody, come over for like an ice cream sundae party or something. Like, I wouldn't be throwing a lot of money. I'd be getting. I'd be like, we're gonna have a pizza party at my house in the backyard because I don't want everyone in the house with their shoes on, you know? Like, that'd be the kind of party that I'd throw. We're having. I'm ordering a cheap ass pizza because we gotta feed us all. And I would definitely not be spending 75k on a party for the TV show. I'd be like, here, I'll give you $25 to get some snacks. And then production's paying for the pizza. And other than that, I'm not losing any money. And even the $25 for the snacks, I'd invoice them. I'd hold onto that receipt and I'd send it to Andy Cohen or whoever at Bravo, and I'd say, hey, I need you to reimburse me for the $25, the snack table I bought, the pretzels and the nerds, gummy clusters like that when we need you to pay me back. But Heather, Not Heather to bro. She's 75k on a crazy party. Jen's bringing a new cast member, Carmela. I'm excited about her, you guys. She's from Cleveland. Got a roof. My Cleveland gals. I gotta do it. So look, let me just give this disclaimer. Carmela's Italian and she's from Cleveland. She's also a playmate and lived in the. Lived in the Playboy house. But her name's Carmela, Italian, from Cleveland. Like, I have no choice but to defend her and get on her side. So I apologize right now. I don't know what kind of season she has. I don't know if she'll be a monster. I don't know if she'll be the most evil person that's ever been on Bravo. I don't know. But I have to defend my fellow Northeast Ohio, my fellow Midwestern people on these shows. I have no choice. She's from Cleveland. She's Italian. That's just. I have no choice. I have no choice. So I hope she's good addition of the show. I hope she's not an evil, horrible person. But unfortunately, I'm on her side right now. Meanwhile, at this party, Tamara. It's funny because Hip and Tamara aren't getting along. Like, Hip doesn't like Tamara. But then Tamara calls Hip skinny, and she's like, well, I do like Tamara. She says in her professional. Well, I do care for Tamara. Then let's see. Jen and Gina, they're both engaged. Neither one of them have wedding dates set. They don't. Stacy is also Shannon's friend. She's showing up with Shannon and unfortunately she's got to like unzip up Shannon's dress or something because Shannon can't zip it up. It's just. Ugh, my dress. Come on, Shannon. Like, I just want. The thing is, Shannon's such good tv. And I know the Shannon Stans always get mad at me because I feel like I'm often hard on Shannon. I am. And she's delivered us such great TV over the years. Like, truly one of. If I were to do a Mount Rush War of Housewives, I don't think Shannon would be on it, but she'd be like, pretty close. The amount of great content and storyline and fights and feuds and drama and quirkiness and everything that she's given us is up there. I mean, it's like it's gotta be maybe top 10 or top 15 or something. But yet I get annoyed when she does the comedic Pratt Foley stuff. And so I know the Shannon Stans get mad at me if they're like, Danny, you're. Are you some mean to Shannon? And it's like, I'm. It's because Shannon's potential is all there, but then she does these like wacky things that annoy the shit out of me. And I, I can't help that. I'm. I bet you a lot of people that listen to this podcast get annoyed with my wacky shit. Yeah, I get. But we all get annoyed with wacky shit. Sometimes I annoy myself, sometimes I'm editing the podcast. No, I'm still a one man band here. I'm editing after I do this and sometimes I'll be listening to myself and I'm like, God, shut the up, Danny. Shut the up. Shut the up. Anyway, let's take a break here. We're gonna come back. We still have more to discuss this party.

I grew up going to garage sales, yard sales, trying to find a bargain. I get the same thrill these days when I'm looking for something I've been wanting without paying full retail price. And that's one of the reasons why I've been obsessed with Whatnot lately. Now Whatnot is the largest live shopping mall marketplace in the United States. And it's such a different shopping experience because everything happens in real time. You're not just scrolling through listings, you're interacting with sellers, asking questions, and connecting with other shoppers while you browse. I recently got an iPhone, actually an Apple iPhone on whatnot for 500 bucks, which was an incredible deal. I had been looking at one of the new ones and comparing prices, so when I saw that price I was immediately invested. And what really sold me was the seller. They took the time to walk through the device, answer questions from the chat. I'm not so great with tech, so I needed to know what the difference was between the new models. The old models show close up details, so I knew exactly what I was getting. Felt like shopping with a knowledgeable friend instead of buying from a faceless website. And that's what I love most about whatnot. You almost never pay full price. There are amazing sellers going live 247 and it's genuinely fun. I've discovered products connected with great sellers, found deals that I wouldn't have found otherwise. I think Whatnot is the closest I'm going to get to bargaining at a yard sale. And you know that's my highest of compliments, truly for me. So download Whatnot today and get $20 off and free shipping on your first purchase. Search whatnot W H A T N O T In the App Store. She's got all the group there, the whole cast is there. And she's pissed at Vicki. Vicki's back on the show. And I don't think Heather probably would have confronted Vicki about any of this. They would have just had a passive aggressive relationship if they ran into each other at the Gelson's or the grocery store or whatever. But now that Vicki's back on the show, Heather says she's pissed at Vicki because Vicki said that Heather inherited her money. And she's like, I did not inherit my money. And so they are in a feud. Shannon and Tamara are still in a feud from the Quiet Woman fight. And Nick arrives and this is when Heather's son Nick gives that speech and he first gets on the microphone and says, I'm Nick, Heather's really good looking son. And I thought, Nick, this is. I mean, look, if I'm bravo, I'd say, give that man a contract. But as a human hearing that, I thought, Nick, you need to cool it. You need to get off the microphone. You don't get on a microphone and say, I'm the really hot one or I'm really. And is he attractive, young man? Sure. But I don't. It gave me the ick of him getting on the microphone being like, here I am, really attractive. And it was so Terry Dubrow coded. Like you could really tell that it was Heather and Terry's son. It was just like, oh, yeah, that's the personality of Heather and Terry's jeans. That's how I felt. But he's very good looking and he's got. If I was bravo, I'd say, here's a contract. Because that's an absurd thing to say as you welcome people to a party for your parents is to be like, I'm Heather's really good looking son. Anyway, the venue that they're at used to be a funeral home. I always say the funeral. Back when I was young, we would get our chairs from the funeral home. My mom, for Christmas parties and stuff, she would always rent the chairs because they were free to rent from the funeral home. So if you came to Christmas Eve at my house, the chairs would be wooden chairs from the Tabone Funeral Home in Solon, Ohio. They would just be the wood. They would have gum on the bottom. But we got them for free because they'd rent them out. So she'd always send us. I'd have to go to the funeral home to pick up the chairs every holiday anyway, so Heather's got her branding over Everything. The HD branding. There's so much food. It looks fun. Carmela says it looks like a early 2000s Playboy party. And she would know because she used to live at the manse, the mansion. She used to be there. And so I think she said. I don't know if it was on this episode, maybe an interview or something, or maybe I'm making up in my head, but I did see something or hear something or make up something in my head that she was saying she didn't sleep with Hugh Hefner or she wasn't part of that crowd, but she did live at the manse. I think she said that again. I might have made that up. Or maybe I dreamed it. Sometimes you have a dream and you don't know where this information comes in at or goes out at. I don't know. Vicki arrives, though, screaming like a banshee at Heather's event. And that made me laugh. What else? She had to put a bandage. She's bringing her stepdaughter, or is it a stepdaughter, whoever, her boyfriend's daughter, who's got to put a bandage on Vicki's underarm pit because she had a sister moved. And she wasn't even sure if she'd make it to the party because she was supposed to stay in Mexico to get the dual. What is it? Dual citizenship or something she was waiting for. But she did make it, unfortunately, she still had to get the sister moved. And so I think what's fascinating is, like, Vicky had life planned and then got recast in the show. So she had things. She was supposed to be in Mexico, and she had to have a sister moved. And that's because she. She probably didn't plan out her year to think that she was gonna be back in Orange county houses. But here she is, and she's hanging on by a thread. At the party, Tamara gets a tattoo because they had a tattoo artist set up there. They. Let's see, they tell Carmela to. Or Carmela and Vicki aren't gonna get along. They're not gonna get along because Vicki hates all the new gals. And so already it's like, oh, yeah, Vicky's gonna hate Carmela. And Shannon's connecting with Carmela, though, because they both live in Corona del Mar. And Shannon's like, I'm the Duchess of Corona del Mar. And Carmela's like, okay. Meanwhile, Heather gives a speech, tells everyone life is short and to do some Jello shots. So she's like, get in there. Do some Jello shots. Shannon's Ignoring Tamara, Heather says she's discussed her issues with Tamara because, remember, Jen is bringing up that Tamra and. And Heather aren't really friends. And Heather was throwing Tamara under the bus after the reunion. And so Heather is like, no, I talked to Tamara about my issues and I'm not going to get into it anymore. Vicki's mad that Heather, though, for asking Tamara about being friends. This is all getting confusing. I'm reading my notes and I'm like, this is. I hope even people listening are. Do you ever think, like, what if, what if? Like, an alien. You know how there's all these rumors about aliens? Do you ever think, like, what if they just. The only. The only stuff they're getting is, like, my podcast. Like, it's maybe narcissistic, but I think, like, what if the only, like, signal being transmitted into space is the everything iconic? And so, like, aliens are listening to learn about the human race. They're, like, listening to me recap the Real Housewives, and I wonder what they would think, you know, like, is that I wonder if they'd be confused or if they would be invested. Maybe it'd be like soap operas for them and they'd be invested. You know, I want to watch the shows. I don't know. But sometimes I think, like, what if. Or what if in a hundred years somebody found, like, the tapes of my podcast somehow? Or they. They got ahold of it and they're like, what are these shows they're talking about? Maybe that'll happen one day. Maybe, like, my great, great, great, great grandchildren will be like, oh, what is this Pellegrino everything iconic show? And then they just are listening to a recap of the real houses of Orange county and be like, what the fuck was happening with him? What the fuck was going on in his life that he took to a microphone and talked for an hour about the real houses of Orange County? I talk more about the episode than what was. Was the length of the episode. We're already at 50 minutes here on the podcast, and the show's only 42 minutes. What is my life? Anyway, moving on. Vicki does say that Heather inherited money from Terry's brother. And Heather's like, our mothers are alive. You know, Heather's pissed about it. She's like, terry worked at the KFC and they worked hard. And Vicki says, doctors don't live in $20 million homes. Heather's an actress, so maybe it's her Emmy winning work that got her that money. Vicki says in her confessional, and that's why she's back. That's why Vicki's back throwing that. That was some. It was like no time had passed with Vicki in the confessional shade and Heather. That was good. And I would love to see Terry working at the kfc. I would love to see it. I haven't had KFC in forever. I used to live by one and then they changed it, got rid of it. And I was so disappointed because I could walk to the KFC and I wouldn't get it often. But when I was hungover, this was in my 20s, when I was super hungover, I'd walk on over to the kfc. I'd get me some mashed potatoes and gravy, some fried chicken, original recipe. Some bread is cornbread. Do they have the corn? They don't have the cornbread. Do they have the. No, they have the biscuits. I'm thinking of Boston Market. You know, I dream of the Boston Market cornbread and Boston Market's almost completely extinct. And I actually have a big ass problem with this because I miss a Boston Market. We don't have any nearby. There used to be some, they just got rid of the ones that were even within like an hour. And I dream, I dream of the Boston Market cornbread dipping in. In the mashed potatoes and gravy with a side of my chicken or turkey. Ah, the bowl, the plate. I dream of a Boston Market and then the KFC. At least KFC's are still around. But the Boston Market, the cornbread and the mashed potatoes. I used to solon Ohio. We used to have Boston Market there. I'd go there all the time. I loved it, loved it. And my grandma would take me there because she always have the coupon. She'd say, do you want to go on? We'd go on little lunch dates and then I'd pick the Boston. She'd say, pick a coupon from my envelope and I'd pick the Boston Market coupon or the Arby's coupon. Anyway, I miss the Boston Markets. Justice for Boston Markets. Then Shannon's at the party. Shannon's in the bouncy house just doing her bits. Then Jen pulls Tamara aside and says everyone talks shit about her behind her back. And then Tamara's like, I need to process things before I react. But Heather, she says, breaks her heart. And she leaves with her free merch because Heather gave everyone free merch. So even though Tamara's pissed at Heather, she's not really confronting Heather yet. And, and she's saying she wants to process things, but really what it is, I think, is she wants to leave with her free merch. And if she were to confront Heather at the party, I think it would look bad if she was leaving with the bags of free merch. And look, I'm on Tamara's side with this because if there's free merch available, I love a goodie bag. I love a to go bag. I love a free. A freebie. A free sample. I do. And so if I'm at a party and you have a goodie bag, I'm going to be nice to the host regardless if they could be mean to me or yell at me or say mean things about whatever. And I'm. I'm still gonna keep it. Keep it kind. Because I need to leave with that goodie bag. And so that's what she did. She left with her free merch. And now Heather's mad at Jen because she finds out that Jen was the one throwing her under the bus with Tamara. That's the end of the episode. This season, we get a lot of old wives returning, celebrating the herstory. They go to Vegas. There's a Lynn appearance. Woo, Lynn. Vicky versus Carmela. Heather versus Jen. Shane and Hip are in trouble. Someone farted. I wrote my notes. That's in the preview. So that's it. I think I said, you know, I don't know. I haven't heard any big dramas from this season of Orange county, so it might be a little light on drama, but I'm sort of excited about it. I think I. I think the Valley is kind of souring me on Bravo a little bit. And it's not even so much because of the show. I think it's because of the discourse around it, where I mentioned earlier on the podcast where it becomes so tribal and it's like everybody's arguing with each other. The fan base is arguing with each other instead of having fun with these shows. And so I'm hoping that with Orange county, we could have some fun, some laughs, and we can. We can kind of take the piss out of everybody. That's my hope for the season ahead. It's like, I don't want to become so. So I'm on this person's side. I'm team this person. And I hope. And we all do that. I'm saying the audience, but it's like, me too. We all fall into those traps because the shows are edited that way. And I always think the audience takes their examples from the show. So whenever the shows get really toxic, then the audience gets really toxic and they're just taking the lead of these shows. And so, yeah, you know, there was this big fight with Lindsey Hubbard from In the City and somewhere else, she had gotten in a fight with some Bravo blogger, and she was saying that the blogger had, like, bullied her. And I didn't really look too much into it. So I don't. I can't really explain too much about that specific situation, but it got me thinking about. About these shows and the, the fan reaction and the podcasts and this whole ecosystem around these shows. And I do think, like, the ecosystem takes it from the shows. So if on the shows they're all bullying each other, then I think the ecosystem around it is going to be some bullying. Do you get what I'm saying? And so it's. It's from the top down. And so I don't know that you could blame, like, the fan base or the bloggers or whatever. It's like, well, isn't that what the shows are doing? And I'm not. Maybe that's a bad example because Summer House is a different kind of show or whatever, but I know that's what I was thinking about. And maybe I haven't fleshed out my thoughts completely on it, but I just think if the shows are getting really mean and the people on there are really mean, then the audience tends to take that lead. And so I'm always on this podcast. I hope people know, like, I'm always just, we're trying to have some laughs, and so we're trying to take the piss out of all of it. And sometimes I do get passionate about things that are happening on the shows, but ultimately, like, I just want everyone to kind of have some fun and some laughs and get some. An hour of enjoyment out of this podcast and not feel too. I don't ever want people listening to this podcast and, like, getting riled up. I'm not looking for anyone to get riled up. I just want us to all have some laughs. And so even on the Valley, I feel like every week on the Valley recaps, I'm telling people, if you're on Danny and Nia's side, don't listen to this podcast because I don't want to rile you up. I just want to. I'd rather you not even listen to me. Go listen to another one if it's gonna make you upset. Like, I want everyone to leave this podcast and have a smile and turn it off and be like, oh, I had some fun there, and not hate me or hate the show or hate whatever. So anyway, that's my disclaimer. I love you all so much for listening though, and I'm really grateful for everyone who does listen and has some laughs and all that kind of stuff. So let's, let's have some fun this season of Orange county and I'm sure by the end of the season we'll all hate each other and we'll be, I'll be fighting. But for now, let's enjoy this moment of peace for the premiere of the Real House of Orange county and we'll be back next week. Tune in to Everything Iconic for the Valley recaps. This episode celebrates the historic Season 20 premiere of The Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC). Danny Pellegrino, enthusiastic as ever, welcomes listeners to the new season, reflects on the franchise’s legacy, shares personal Housewives nostalgia, and breaks down the premiere—complete with returning cast members, Bravo history, and his unique comedic digressions. The episode is weighty with both keen observations about how reality TV has changed, and playful rants about the personalities, production quirks, and cultural sidebars that make RHOC and Bravo “iconic.”

“Andy Cohen always just saying, don’t quit your jobs because you never know when the edit’s going to turn on you.” (21:41)

Danny Pellegrino’s RHOC Season 20 premiere recap is a blend of celebration, affectionate nostalgia, pointed critique, and wide-ranging personal musings. He frames RHOC as both a pop culture time capsule and a measure of how reality TV’s tone (and fandom) has shifted. Old-school behaviors (spontaneity, messy confessionals, legends like Vicki “the OG of the OC”) are both celebrated and gently mocked, and Danny’s signature humor runs alongside sincere hope that this season will be more fun and less tribal than recent Bravo fare. The episode ends with a call to enjoy the ride, poke fun, and keep it iconic.
Next Week: Danny returns with more RHOC and The Valley recaps, keeping it fun and iconic as Season 20 continues.
