By the end of the day, I don't want to overthink what's for dinner. I just want something that's simple to tastes good and I can feel good about serving everyone in my family. That's why I've been really loving Nature Raised Farms chicken. Their whole philosophy is that food shouldn't be complicated, and honestly, I couldn't agree more. The only thing I want complicated is my Meryl Streep Nancy Myers movie. But that's a tale for another time. Nature Raised Farms chicken is free from gluten, dairy and soy, plus no seed oils or artificial ingredients. It's also a good source of fiber, so it checks a lot of boxes without feeling like you're making compromises. Chicken shouldn't be complicated and Nature Raised Farms really makes it a no brainer. How's everyone's week going? Are you having a good week? I don't know if you're listening to this on the weekend. Hopefully you're having a good weekend. But I just want to send some love and light out into the universe because here's the thing on the podcast, I've been covering the Valley and I've been covering the real houses of Orange county. And I try to stick to the two shows. I don't like covering more than two shows. It gets a little overwhelming for me, but I try to go where my heart leads me. And so I thought this was going to be the 20th season of the Real Houses of Orange County. I thought it was a really important time to be covering this show. And last week after recapping the episode, I felt like I was maybe a little bit of a bummer. I don't like to always be so negative, but I felt like the first three episodes of the Orange county season have been not so great. So I even titled the recap of the Orange County Housewife episode last week something about Vicky snoring, because I feel like the show's been putting us to sleep. And so I went in this week trying to look at the bright side, trying to look at the positives of the show. And then of course, we are also covering the Valley on Bravo, which has been very bleak this season. And the finale just wrapped up and people are arguing they're Team Danny or Team Janet. You know, it's getting really hostile and it's getting to be a lot. And so this week on the show I thought, you know, I'm gonna get to the microphone and I'm gonna try to spread some positivity and have some laughs still, but like not be, try not to be so negative about the shows. And so I really went in this week. I sat down with my laptop, you know, I tip type on my laptop while I'm watching the episode to take my notes and I thought I'm Gonna look at this glass half full. I'm gonna go into Orange county this week being like, this is gonna be the greatest show of all time. I'm gonna find the good. I'm gonna celebrate the good. And I love these shows. So I thought, I'm gonna get to the microphone and celebrate all. And then this week opened with Gina and Emily doing Tiktoks. What the fuck? I always swear, you guys, I was like, sitting down. I'm like, I'm going to be positive. I'm going to take positive notes, and I'm going to find the good. And I thought, maybe it'll turn around because we've had three Snorri episodes, so how could they give us a fourth bad episode? Can't possibly give us four bad episodes in a row. And yet they still found a way. And so maybe we should celebrate that, that they've somehow bucked the odds or defied the odds to give us yet another not so great episode, in my opinion. Now, there were still some really great things in this episode because there was a moment where Gina, she was trying to figure it out. That bag that Carmilla gave Emily, and she was like, how much you think that bag was? Like, her accent was like, in full force. It's like peanut butter in the mouth. Like Sylvester Stallone with peanut butter in the mouth. She's like, how much you think that bag was? And then Emily's like, it was $3,000. And Gina's response was, holy shit. I didn't even know she had bankroll like dat. I wish I would have pulled this on clip. Maybe I will for next week or something. But for now, if you go back and watch it, just pay attention to that one little moment. Like, that was enough for me for the episode, but the rest was kind of a snooze fest. But Gina's saying, holy shit. I didn't even know she had bankroll like that. I didn't even know she had the bankroll like that. Oh, it made me laugh. It made me laugh. But it was very brave of them to open with Hip and Casita doing Tiktoks. And then Shannon coming over like, I'm. I'm proud of Gina for doing the Tiktoks. And here's the thing with Gina. I feel like every week I get on this microphone, I'm like, I'm proud of her for selling the houses and whatever. And are we just. Am I infantilizing Gina at this point? Because anytime she does something that's like, not. That's not what she did in her first few seasons, I'm like, good job, Gina. And it's like, well, what am I celebrating? Now that she's doing tiktoks, I feel like the whole show infantilizes her. And I'm doing it as well, because I'm watching. I'm like, good job, Gina. And it's like she's not even doing anything. But I don't. I don't even want to see a lot of the housewives. I don't follow a lot of housewives on social media. I follow a handful of them. Of course, some of our four mothers gotta follow Kantus Lewin or some of these kind of people, But I don't follow a lot of them. There's a lot of them. I'm just like, I'm not gonna click the follow button. Or if I know some of them or if I've, you know, gotten to know him well in person, then maybe I'll follow him or whatever. But I try not to make a habit of just following every housewife because I don't want to see that. I do this podcast, but then sometimes I want to log on social media, and I don't want to see all so much. Bravo. So I try to be judicious about who I'm following, but especially when I see that, like, a housewife is someone who posts a lot of tiktoks and stuff, I'm like, I don't need to see that. I'll see the important ones. Like, people will send me if there's something that somebody does, something embarrassing or whatever. But for the most part, I don't want to follow it because I just don't care so much. God bless. But I just don't really care so much. And so Gina, I know she does these tiktoks, but I don't even want to follow off screen. And I don't know how many followers she has, but I would imagine she has less followers than the amount of people that watch the show. Because I think most people who watch the show, I don't know that they're so interested in Gina's tiktoks. Like, maybe Gina's superfans are. But people like me and a lot of other people watch the show. They're like, I don't want to see Gina's social media. That's why I don't even follow her on social media. And so if we don't even want to see the edited skits she's posting, why would we want to see the behind the scenes of her making it. Okay, riddle me that. Bravo. I'm sorry to call you out here, but at a certain point, someone needs to see something and say something because we're not even following the tiktoks as we want to see it outside the show. And now you're showing us 10 minutes of behind the scenes of her making a TikTok. Absolutely not. Electric chair. Electric chair. It's like, who thought that that was the content we need to open an episode with. You mean to tell me that's how you're going to hook the viewers is you're opening this week with Gina and Emily and Shannon doing TikToks. You're going to open a whole episode after we've had three snooze fests of episodes, and then you decide, oh, let's launch this week with gina doing a TikTok. That's how. I mean, I don't even understand who's editing, producing the show. And I love the Bravo producers and editors, so no shade to them. But maybe a little shade. Because who thought it was a good idea to open an episode with Gina doing a TikTok? Because you got to hook viewers in the first couple of seconds, people. We got low attention spans these days with social media as it is. You go and you scroll, you see a three second clip, you scroll past it, you're going, quick, quick. We all have some form of attention, whatever, and so we can't pay attention too long. And so you got to hook people in the beginning. And so they're trying to hook us by showing us Gina and Emily doing TikToks. They cancel the show. If that's what you're gonna do. I'm sorry. God bless them. And I try to support my hip and casita and hip just had her birthday. She had her. She's in her 50s now. And Gina gave her a candle that said, your 40s are over. And if somebody did that to me, I'd say electric chair as well. Because there's no way. I don't. Like, I hate birthday gifts that are like, you're old or whatever. Like, that's. If you ever want me to not ever speak to you again, like, just give me a birthday gift that says, like, you're over the hill or you're. You're almost dead or like. Or a cake with a grave on it. Like, I. I don't. I won't even argue at this point. Like, I tell Matt this all the time. Like, I won't even argue with you or anything. Like, I will just completely cut you out of my life. Like, I will file for divorce and take the kid and run. Like, I don't want that. And same with my friendships, with my family, whoever. I don't want a card with a gravestone on it and the grim reaper saying, look how fucking old you are. I don't want that. Okay? And so, Gina, giving Emily that candle that says your 40s are over, I'd say, okay, Gina, I guess we're never speaking again. Like, this is it. Say goodbye. Say goodnight and say goodbye in the words of that song that played in the Dawson's Creek finale. Remember that? Do you know what I'm talking about? Dawson's Creek. When it ended, remember? I hate to give a spoiler, but remember one of the characters died. I won't say who. In case you decide you might want to watch Dawson's Creek, which has been over since the 90s and so you can't yell at me for spoilers about that. However, there was a slow song called say Goodnight and say Goodbye. It was like so dramatic. Say good night, not goodbye. I would have said goodnight and goodbye to Gina. If she handed me a mug that said, your 40s are over for my birthday or a candle, whatever the fuck it was, I'd say, say goodnight and say goodbye. I'm saying both to you. Anyway, that song was so dramatic. I loved it. I used to burn it on every CD. I miss burning CDs. Remember you'd burn the CDs. I remember sort of recently, maybe a handful of years ago, I found like a bag of old CDs that I had in my car and I. Oh, I just got rid of my truck which had a CD changer in it. Unfortunately, I've had that truck since 2005. I finally had to get rid of it. The air wasn't working. I was having so many troubles with it and so I was like, I finally got to get rid of it. Even though I thought I was taking it to my grave. However, it had a 6, 6 changer in it. And so a few years ago I had found a bunch of old CDs I got from my parents house. And I realized like every single one of them had the Burns CDs that I made. Every single one of them had Can't Fight the Moonlight by LeAnn Rimes on it and it was like every last one. And sometimes it'd be at the end of the mix because I think when I was making them I wouldn't want it to be so obvious that I Had can't fight the moonlight on every single one. But it was like, no matter what the mix was, if it was dramatic or if it was like a Christmas CD mix, I'd still put can't fight the moonlight on it. Like I had that on every fucking one. I love that song. Anyway, what were we talking about? Okay, so Gina also, they're doing all this gift stuff because they're trying to bring up about how Carmela gave the Dior bag with the vibrator in it. And so Gina's talking about the gift she gave Emily. And she gave a double sweatshirt. And they put on or they. It's like a double sweatshirt with like a two headed prong or whatever. And Jean and Emily, they're like sort of playing with this double headed sweatshirt. And Shannon who was there, you could tell she was so pissed. She was so pissed because you want to know what? They were doing physical comedy without her. She was so mad. She was so mad. You know, she was pissed because Shannon's the one. She wants to put her head in a. In a double sided sweatshirt. And she was livid the fact they didn't have a three prong for her big ass head. She was like. She was so mad because she knew that if she could have gotten that head in that sweatshirt, she would have done some sort of prat fall. She would have fallen over, fallen, shown her spanx or thrown her legs up in the air. Something would have happened. And she was mad she couldn't do it. And they were doing the physical comedy. I know it. I could. I could feel it through the screen. She didn't say anything and she tried to keep a poker face, but I could tell inside she was burning up because she wanted to do some physical comedy. So then Emily brings up the purple vibrator from Carmela and Gina says the new girl shouldn't even bring a Dior bag like that. And that's when Gina's like, how much was ya? Holy shit. I didn't even know she had bankroll like dat. I didn't even know she had a bankroll like dat. She has a bankroll like dat. Holy shit. Oh, that made me laugh. How much you think that bag was? How much you think that bag was? I didn't know. Holy shit. I didn't know she had the bankroll like that. I loved it. I loved it. So then Hip and Casita ask Storm's bedor about Tam Tam. And then Tam Tam calls. They're throwing a party for Vicky because Puerto Vallarta is having Some trouble. So they're going to have a Puerto Vallarta party. Even though it wasn't really. I mean, they had like tacos and I was like, what else? I didn't understand. I don't think I quite understood what was going on. I might have missed something. And you know what? You can't blame me because this show is boring as fuck this week. So if I miss something, take that complaint to Bravo, okay? You file that complaint with them because they need to put some more pressing entertainment in front of us rather than Gina and Emily doing TikToks, because we're all going to fucking zone out. So you can't blame some. You can't blame the audience. Oh, I did say at the beginning of this episode I was going to keep it positive. I'm sorry. No, I really am. I'm going to try. I'm trying. Shannon doesn't seem over the Tamra thing. And oh, speaking of Shannon and social media, they also gave her like a intervention about doing more TikToks. And like the world doesn't need to see Shannon doing more TikToks. Like, we've actually had enough because I just know she's going to do all the pratfalls on the TikTok. And I don't know if she's doing them now because I don't follow her on social media. But if they start showing up where Shannon's just falling all over the place on TikTok, like, I'm going to have to block it. I'm gonna hit the block button. I am. And I don't, I don't use that block button often. I use the mute or the restrict a lot. Sometimes people.

It makes me laugh. Like if people say something mean or comments. I mean, even if it's not about me, like sometimes people say like really kind of like nasty things. If I post a clip of. I know if I were to post the clip of the Real House of Orange county, sometimes people say, and I'm not talking like a funny mean. I'm talking like a, like a dark sided mean thing. And I'll just hit that, that I forget if it's on Instagram, is it restrict or mute? And, and then what happens when you put that button on is that the person can still comment but they don't know that it's hidden. So they're just like commenting mean things. And it's like they don't know that nobody could see it, you know, And I love that. I love. But I would use the block button For Shannon, if she starts doing that, if I see it, at least. But Shannon says she's low tech, and before the show, she'd even do social media. And I wish they would just let her be a person who doesn't use social media. Because sometimes, I don't know, people, maybe, sometimes not everyone should be on social media, right? They do some, like, pantyhose skit, though, and Gina's son walks in because they're putting the pantyhose over their face and they're doing. And the son walks in. And I just was thinking, God, if I walked in on my mom when I was. I don't know how old the kid was, but If I was 12 or 13 or whatever, really, any age from 4 onward, and I walked in to my house back in Ohio and I just saw my mom with pantyhose over her face, filming herself with her two buddies, I'd say, what's the. The fuck is going on, Mom? You need to get out more. Or you need to go to a restaurant, have something to eat, go to amusement park and have some fun on the rides. Like, do anything else for fun. But I would have been like, what is. What are you all doing? Meanwhile, Tamara's at the gym with guess who? Fernanda. It's been 84 years. She just turned 50. And I was so happy to see Fernanda because they were lovers, Tamara and Fernanda. Tamara says Fernanda's was her hall pass, and Fernanda was almost a housewife. And this is actually what I really want from this season of Housewives is like, I like the nostalgia. I like. That was someone who I was not expecting to see this season, Fernanda. And so having her just check in and having a quick little scene where she's teaching them, like, to me, that was the perfect bit of nostalgia. Same with the Michael later on in the episode, Vicki's son. I thought that was like, a good nostalgia play. But seeing them do some workout with her, and I like that they're celebrating the history. And I thought Fernanda was on when Heather was on, but when Heather walked in, she's like, nice to meet you. And I was like, is Heather just. Did she forget? Because maybe she forgot, but I guess Fernanda was before Heather's time. Maybe. I don't know. But I don't know. I forget exactly what was happening with Tamara and Fernanda. I know they said, like, Fernanda was Tamara's hall pass, but I thought they were lovers. Like, I thought it was. Speaking of lovers, did you guys see Kyle Richards? And Morgan. I saw some story about them from the Real Houses Beverly Hills. I saw some story that was like Kyle was being flirty on social media with her again. And I'm like, oh, I hope they're not gonna, like, be doing that on the Real House of Beverly Hills again next season. Like, I can't spend another season of like, is Kyle dating women or is Kyle with Morgan? Like, I can't do another season of that. And I don't think they're filming, so they're a little bit on pause. And I would like them to stay on pause until they figure it out, until Kyle decides to either be with Morgan or stop talking about it. Because I can't have another season where it's just like we're hinting at it or dipping our toe in. I can't do. Feels like it's been 84 years of that. It's been 84 years. Let's take a break here. We're going to come back. Still have so much more to talk about. And during the break, I'm going to try to turn it around and try to be positive. And during the break, you're going to hear some commercials. You're going to hear some commercials. And I mentioned this on the Valley recap, but I was recently rewatching John and Kate plus eight, and specifically the episode where Kate got mad at John for not using the coupon. You didn't use a coupon. And so when you listen to these ads that are about to play, sometimes they give a coupon code. Don't forget to use it when you go shopping at the, at the Mac Weldon's or the wherever it is. Just use the coupon. You didn't use a coupon. All right, well, we'll be right back. Thank you to Acast. New episodes, Wednesdays on Freeform and streaming on Hulu. Summer has completely changed the way I grocery shop. Between work, trying to squeeze in a social life, I always realize that I forget to buy something important. And the other weekend we decided last minute to have friends over. I needed everything. I needed fresh fruit, snacks, drinks, ingredients for dinner, the whole thing. And instead of running to the grocery with a baby, I used Instacart and had everything delivered through Instacart right to my door. I especially appreciate the quality. If I'm ordering avocados, tomatoes, peaches or any of that peak summer produce, I can leave no and communicate exactly what I need. You know, maybe I want avocados that are ready for guacamole tonight. And those little details matter. And it's nice knowing that shoppers care about what you're getting and get your order right. And the convenience is huge. Delivery can arrive in as fast as 30 minutes, which honestly feels like a superpower when you're realizing you're missing half the ingredients for dinner. Gives me my time back to focus on the other stuff instead of wandering grocery store aisles wondering why I came in for and what I came in for. And Instacart brings convenience, quality and ease right to your door so you can focus on what matters most. Download the Instacart app now and get groceries just how you like. Again. And we're back. Alright, back to the real houses, Orange County. I know that was a clip from the Valley theme song, but I left it on the soundboard and I had to play it. Okay, moving on. Jen tells the story at the workout class about Grayson and they all talk about parenthood. Jen says she feels like a failure. She says, I think as moms we guilt ourselves so much, but it's nice to know I'm not the only one. And I don't know. I can't. I can't comment on Jen's parenting styles anymore, because I feel if I do, I might be negative. So maybe instead of. Instead of me saying anything about Jen's parenting, just maybe use your imagination. Okay? They do a good job working out, I guess. And they gather afterwards to talk about Chan's social media. And then Tamara confronted Heather about not posting a TikTok together. And Tamara's like, heather, you just don't like me very much. And that's probably true. And Jen says she's confused about how close Tamara and Heather are. And Tamara says Heather is fake and everyone's tired of it because. And this is all sparked by a TikTok. And look I did on Angel Devil, I understood what Tamara was saying because I think we've all been there with friendships. Like, you're out with a friend and you do a video together, and you expect to, like, go home that night and see it on social media, and then, like, never appears. And the next day you're like, oh, I wonder. And then you text them like, oh, do you have that video? And they're like, oh. And they maybe send it to you. Or they're like, oh, I don't have it. And you're like, well, what happened to it? And it's like, they just didn't want to post it. Now, in real life, I think when you're on the other side of that, Heather might have taken that TikTok and been like, I don't like my hair in it, right? Like, that's what I would have done if I had it on my phone. And I was like, I don't like the way I look in something, then I'm not going to post the TikTok. But then if you're on the other side of it, like, if you're the Tamra, you're thinking, like, why did this person just, like, take this video and say it was TikTok and then never post it? You know, So I would be spiraling if I was Tamara. But I also understand the Heather side of things. But the truth is, I don't think Heather does like Tamara or any of the other women. She's just on this TV show, and they won't put her on the real houses Beverly Hills. So she's got to pretend to get along with the Orange county ladies. Like, I hate to say it, but that's really exactly what it is. It's exactly what it is. Because otherwise, I don't believe that Heather would even be in the same vicinity as any of these people. I mean, she's she's not even living in Orange county, and neither is Carmela. Neither of them go there. She doesn't even go here. They don't go there. And so I don't think Heather would be friends with any of them. Of course, Heather, when confronted about this kind of thing, she's like, no, of course I'm friends. And Heather, I think, does try to pretend for the show that she's friends with Tamara or whoever on the show. But is she? I don't believe as soon as Heather gets gone, she's gonna be not speaking to these people. I believe that's my truth. Okay, so then, Grayson, Jen sun got a job at In N Out, which is good. She said when the ticket comes, that $700 ticket that I was so pissed about, he has to pay some money from his paycheck. I was like, that whole paycheck should go over to the ticket. What do you mean? She made it seem like she was gonna. She's like, I'm gonna pay for that ticket. But, like, as soon as you get your paychecks from In N Out, I'm going to take $5 each one and put it towards the ticket. It's like, jen, you need to just take all of his paychecks and put it towards the ticket. Then we see Shannon's on the phone with her daughter Vicki and Michael. Oh, I love seeing Michael. He lives in Spain. Vicki's son Michael. And Vicky says, cheers to you coming home to mama. And then apparently, he helps run cotto remotely. He says he likes growing up in the Orange county, but he finds it boring there, so he's happy to be in Spain. And then Vicky asks him to freeze his sperm because she wants him to have kids. And he's not sure. He says he likes his selfish life. He's not sure if he wants kids. We also get a little update about Brianna. He hasn't seen Brianna in eight years. Eight years. Eight years. It's been 84 years. It's been eight years. And he hasn't met two of her kids. Apparently they zoom, but they haven't met in person. And Vicky's sad that her kids are spread out. She's like, sometimes I need to have a cigarette when I think about it. And she says, they're not confessional. And Michael says that Vicki might live forever, because Vicki's like, look, I. I don't know how much time I have left or something like that. And Michael's like, well, you could live forever because. And I was just thinking, like, what if these Medical advances do come. And what if. What if Vicky, like, somehow is the first person to, like, live forever? Is that a crazy thing to think about? I don't know. That's all I could think about was like, what if Vicky lives forever and it could happen? And what if we're then watching Vicky forever? Like, in my head I was thinking, like, if there's medical advancements in, let's say, 15 years, like, towards the end. However, how old is Vicki now? She's probably like 70, right? So if. When she's 85 or 90, what if, like, that's right when these medical advances or scientific or technological advances are coming or where they're like, hey, we need someone to live forever. Now, Vicky, she's interested in life insurance, so maybe she doesn't want to stay around forever. But what if also she's like, I want to run Coto forever for an eternity, and so I'll sign up for the trial of the technology and then she's the first to live forever. I don't know. I'm just saying it's something to think about. It's something to think about. I know I will. And, oh, this is also my favorite moment of the episode when Vicky says that one of my biggest regrets in life is getting divorced from Dawn. Because she says every single. Every single week, every single week, she says, why didn't. Why did I divorce Don? Now? It doesn't matter what new boyfriend she has, if she's engaged, if she's with someone who's running a cancer scam. It doesn't matter what her current love life situation is. She could be at the altar of a new. Of a marriage to a new man. And yet she would still say, I regret divorcing Don. I should have never divorced Don. Why did I divorce Don? And then she cries, and she always will regret it. And I, you know, she stays up at night just thinking, why did I divorce Don? And I wish fate would bring those two back together somehow. And I think Don has moved on, right? Didn't he have a new. I mean, but the. But here's the thing. Even if Don moved on and has a new wife, if he's any, even like a smidge like Vicky, it doesn't matter that they have new significant others because they both want to be back with each other. But I wish we got an update from Don. Like, I don't want hearsay about Don. I want to see Don on Candacamera. I want Tamara sitting down with him and just saying, like, hey, Don, what's up. That actually would have been a great nostalgia play. And, producers, I hate to produce your show for you, but you should have had Don come back. And maybe he still will. I don't know. But that's who I want to hear from most. I don't care about the others so much. Like, I've had enough of Joe de la Rosa or she was back last season. Like, I don't need her popping in again. I don't need some of the ones. Like, yes, I want to see Lynn Curtin, and then I want to see Don. Everyone else is kind of secondary to those two. I want to know what's going on with Lynn and the cuffs and the daughters. And I want to hear from Don directly from Don's mouth. And I want someone to sit his ass down and say, hey, how do you feel about Vicky? Every single episode saying she regrets divorcing you? What do you think? And could you ever refill her love tank? Or is it done? We don't know. We don't know then. Anyway, we cut to Tamara and Jen. They meet at the bar, and they talk about Vicky hating Carmella. And then Carmela arrives, and she's pissed at Gina about the Dior bag thing. And they do tell her. Jen and Tamara say to Carmella, like, it was an expensive bag to give as a gift. Someone you just know. And then Carmella's apparently got a lot of money. She says her rent is 35,000amonth. 35,000amonth. I do think they're setting up now. I've watched Bravo for so many years now. And so I think I do have a good sixth sense about, like, when they're foreshadowing something. And my. And I. Oh, I called it, by the way, about the Carmela not living there. I said, I think on the first recap this season, and now we're seeing Vicky say on the episodes like, that Carmela don't even live there. So I think I do have, like, a good. A good inner compass when it comes to these storylines. And my inner compass for this is saying that they're setting up Carmela to look like a scammer, right? Like, they keep talking about, does she flip houses? Is she a realtor? How much money does she have? Why is her rent $35,000? Like, does she live there? Like, they're setting her up to be, A, the villain of the season, and B, to be a little bit of a scammer, which I do love when these shows have a scammer and I have to have Carmela's back because she's from Ohio. However, that's the. My gut reaction is, like, the show, not just Vicky, not just Gina or whoever is calling out some of these things. I think the show, the producers, the editors, whatever, they're setting up Carmela to look like a scammer, or at least for it to be a major storyline that, like, people are confused about where she gets her money, how she. Where she's living and all that kind of stuff. That's what they're setting up. I know that because I've watched enough of these. But she says the husband wasn't faithful, so they didn't sell the house. And then. Then she sold the house or something. She made 1.4 million on her first house sold. Then we see her going to Jack's house. It's her client, or she's trying to hope to get to this client. And she says she sold almost $100 million in the last 10 years, which. That's another. It just felt like sort of an obscure number. And I always think on these shows when they're bragging about how wealthy they are, it's very few and far between that the really, really wealthy people want to be on this show. Like, I think Heather Dubrow might be one of the only ones. But you have to remember that she was an actress before joining the show. So she's always craved the spotlight. And I guess on some level, Carmella, wasn't she in. Didn't she do something? She was a Playmate, but also did something with the wwe, I believe. So she also craves the spotlight. But otherwise, really rich people, if you have that kind of money, you're not going to want to join a reality TV show on Bravo because you're going to look insane. They're going to edit you to look bad. And if you don't need the money, they're not paying you any money anyway. So you're really losing money. And for what? So there is a red flag for me with Carmela about her saying, I sold almost $100 million in the last 10 years. Which a feels like an exaggeration. And if it was an exaggeration, I'd be like, why the fuck are you on the show? Like, go do something else. Go to. If. If you were that successful of, like, a real estate person and you're gorgeous and you live in Orange county, like, she would have been joining the. Selling the OC she was with the Oppenheimer Group. So why didn't those little twins put her on the show there's something amiss here. There's something fishy. And we all need to just keep our eyes and ears peeled and perk up your ears and prick up your eyes and put your monocle on and start looking at this and saying, what's going on here? They're showing us red flags. And I don't know exactly what's happening. I'm just saying we all need to clock it. We need to clock that T. Sis. In the words of a. In the words of every ad they make a gay man read, okay? She also, in this house, has those booties over her heels, which are. I just want to point out, those are so ugly. And I know one of my biggest fights with my husband is that when people enter our house, a lot of times he makes them put those booties over their shoes. And I hate it. And I feel so embarrassed. I even told you guys he got one of those signs, like, by the door that he put on the mat that says, like, please take off your shoes. Which I understand if, like, you're having a party or something, but like, Matt makes. And you know when you have a young kid and you just think, like, I don't want to have an argument, right? So you just sort of. You compromise. In any long term relationship, you have to compromise. And so that's one of those things that every time I see it in the house, I'm like, well, I'm compromising. Like, I'm not starting an argument about that sign. But I do hate it with every ounce of my being. So apologies to anyone who comes over the house that sees that sign at the front door that says, please take off your shoes. I'm embarrassed to buy it. I am. But it's not embarrassing enough to argue with my husband about. And so that's marriage. That's life. And ultimately I'm happy people aren't walking around with their dirty hooves in my house from coming outside. Like, yeah, I like that part. I'm just embarrassed by the sign. But do I want to start an argument about it? Certainly not. It's not even worth the argument. I don't give a flying fuck about that. I don't want to argue. I think about that a lot. I'm not interested in arguing about that. You know, again, I think that's important in any relationship, whether it be romantic or otherwise. Sometimes you have to pick and choose your battles and say, I'm not interested in arguing about that. I could, but I don't want to. But I do hate those little booties. That go over the thing. Then we cut to a boat ride with Tamara and Vicky and Heather and Shannon, and it's like a whale safari or something. Shannon offered to help Tamara decorate for the party and Tamara asked her to come early. Then Shannon says it was just an olive branch, but she doesn't want to be BFF with Tamara because Shannon's still skeptical. And then, let's see. They talk about Carmella. Vicky shades her for being playmate of the year, which is a good accomplishment. Like I'd be if I was playmate of the year. If I had a body that was able to get me playmate of the year. Play Playboy or whatever. I'd be wearing that on a T shirt or something. I'd be walking around with that. The images be my background on my phone. I would. But she. Vicky says she'll catch Carmela in a lie and she will. I'm excited about this feud. They do see whales. They see dolphins mating. Then everyone gets ready for Vicki's Puerto Vallarta party. So Tamara's getting this party ready at her house. Let's take a break here and then we're gonna come back and talk about this. This party. Slash, what was the box game? I think Vicki said, why don't we play Yahtzee or hopscotch? We'll be right back. Find me on social media. Danny Pellegrino, you get my books. Wherever books are sold. Acast helps creators launch, grow, and monetize their podcasts everywhere. Acast.com. And we're back. Okay, the Puerto Vallarta party. Carmela's not there. And I guess somebody said, Vicky said, because she doesn't even live here. She doesn't even go here. They eat tacos, quesadillas. It made me hungry. They all were eating on Tamara's couch, too. And I know I just said I got mad at the sign that Matt puts out about taking your shoes off, but also, I do not feel like I don't love. You make me sound so uptight, but I don't love when people are just, like, eating on a paper plate on my white couch. Like, that is dangerous to me. And I was getting nervous for Tamara that somebody was going to drop some guacamole or something on her couch. I was nervous about it. I was. But they do say that Carmela was part of the Oppenheimer group. And Vicky says she's probably just an administrative assistant at the front desk or a house flipper, because Gina bringing up the house flipping things. So obviously they're setting the. They're planting the seeds for this. Now Heather and Jen have tension. Emily tells Jen that Heather thinks Jen is obsessed with her. And Jen's like, no, I just want to know who Heather is. And she's also. Jen is on a reality show with Heather. So I think it's okay that Jen is, like, questioning these things about Heather because Heather sometimes will ask, like, or she'll imply, like, well, why are you obsessed with me? Or whatever. Why does she keep talking about me? Right? And it's like, well, you guys are on a reality show together, so there has to be some level of obsession. And I think Heather knows that if she says. And Tamara, last season, too, did this trick. But, like, one of the tricks of if you're a housewife is, like, if somebody comes at you with something that, like, you don't want to address or that you. You don't want to be at fault for, all you have to do is say, like, oh, if this person is, like, obsessed with me. And then it makes the audience think, like, oh, yeah, why is Jen, like, keeps saying everything about Heather? Why is Jen keeps saying things about Tamara? Or whatever. And you can't forget that they're on a reality show together. So there's a producers saying, hey, bring up this thing about Heather. And B, if you don't bring up stuff about the other cast members like this, nothing happens on the show. Nothing moves forward. There's no storylines, there's no conflict, there's no resolution. And so it is a sneaky little trick that they do of being like, oh, is Jen just obsessed with me? It's like, no. Jen is on a reaction. She's getting paid. She's getting literally a paycheck from Bravo. Not much, but you didn't use a coupon. Might not be a ton of money, but it is some money. And so she's literally getting a paycheck to say things about the other cast members and analyze how the other cast members are acting. And so it's a sneaky little trick that they do. And so I just. I noticed how they're doing it, but they all do it. A lot of them do on this show. Other shows, they all do it. Now Tamara's got a box game, and it's, I guess, to shade Heather about the keeping friends in a box comment. But then this is when Vicki's like, why don't we just play Yahtzee? Like, what is this? And then they all have to put on the game. It wasn't. I don't know if we call it a game. It was very much like a student council icebreaker activity from 2004, where Tamara was telling everybody to write a comment and put it in the box for each person, and then they'd pull it out of the box. And so they were all reading these things. So Gina's opening her box, and she's like, who called me a boss babe? And Tamara's like, I called you a boss babe. And then Emily's opening up, and she's like, who called me an anal, anal expert or analyzer? But she made a joke about being anal or something, and she's like, I did that. I didn't even know she had bankroll like that. I do. I do love my Gina. Love my casita. Okay, so then, yeah, they say Vicky's a Debbie Downer, and she holds onto that. And she's gonna be holding onto that for the rest of the season. Because even preview for next week, she's like, they called me a Debbie Downer. And then the confessional, she's like, they're calling me a Debbie Downer. And they show her being a Debbie Downer in the Confessionals. Tamara calls Heather a social bestie. And then Heather tells Jen. She always brings up Tamara to her, and they start arguing. And then Heather or Emily says Heather talks too much. And this is when Heather's like, oh, that's rich. And they're all just, like, spinning their wheels, trying to find some sort of conflict, but there's really no conflict. And they're. They're all trying, like, I will give them. I mean, they're putting minimal effort in, very minimal, almost nothing in trying to find some sort of conflict for the season because they don't have any yet. And so they're like. They're scraping the bottom of the barrel where they're like, oh, Tamara tells Heather, you put me in a box. And so I'm going to try to make that into something. And then that obsessive comment from Jen, it's like they're all trying to find a little something like a nugget to latch onto, but none of the nuggets are big enough. So as an audience I'm watching, I'm like, oh, they're all trying, but there's nothing. There's no good stuff under there. There's nothing good to latch onto. But I guess Jen hates Heather now. Tamara tells Shannon she loves and adores her and cried when Shannon texted about the decorations, which also, that felt so kind of fakey to me. But, I mean, I don't know, the thing with Tamara and Shannon that is hard for me is like, I don't believe that they want to be friends, and I don't believe that they are friends. And yet also I. I think they're making up or pretend making up, because they know that the show needs to move forward and they need to find that resolution because they're. They are reality TV pros enough to know we can't have another season of us fighting. So that part is good. But then the kind of tricky thing is like, but. But it's very much clearly emanating from the screen, or what's the right word I'm looking for? It's like radiating from the screen that they actually don't like each other, but their words are saying, oh, we made up now, and I'm so happy we made up, but I don't feel it. I'm not feeling it. So that's, I think, the issue there. Anyway, it ends with Vicki saying she's not a Debbie Downer. And the next week on the show, Vicki says she's not a Debbie Downer. Vicki and Carmela argue. Heather cries, Gina And Carmela getting in fight. And that's the end of the episode. And I look, I'm hoping episode five, I'm hoping it picks back up. And I know I'm trying to be positive. And there was a lot of great stuff this episode, the Michael appearance, Fernanda. I think all the nostalgia plays they're doing this season are working. I'm just gonna need a little more juice, a little more conflict, a little more something. And maybe it's gonna be a slow burn of a season. So maybe we're just kind of slowly getting started. But in general, I can't have them be so slow burning. Like, these shows need to pick up a little bit. And in 2026, with our attention spans the way that they are, I'm going to need them to know that they need a. They need to speed things up a little more than they're doing, because we can't have four flop episodes in a row. And that's what we, I believe, just had, in my opinion. Yes, there might have been some fun things going on there, but for the most part, four flop episodes. Was there even a moment sometimes. Sometimes that might be a flop episode, but you might get a good meme or a good something out of it. And I'm like, was there anything that anyone would even want a meme out of these four episodes? Is there anything that we can latch ourselves onto? I don't know. Am I being too negative? Probably. I probably am. And I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I don't want. I really. I want to come on this microphone and be like, that was the best episode ever. And I had so much fun. And all I got is, great, of course I want to do that. But then I can't. I want to be true to myself. I want to be true to myself. And the truth is, I was having a good day the last two days when I did the Valley recap. I was maybe having a rough day, that type. But when I did the OR doing the Orange County, I'm like, I've actually been in, like, an unusually good mood. So usually that'll translate into being a little more positive about the episodes that I'm recapping. However, not this week with the Orange county house size, unfortunately. And f. Cking had it with her. You guys will all see the truth. We'll all see the truth.
Stop it.
Stop it. Stop. No, I've had it. I've had it. Anyway, I love you all so much for listening and have a great weekend or a great week and find Some joy and find some laughs and find some. Some fun in something. And if it's not this, maybe something else. Maybe there's another good show. You know, I've been wanting to watch this off campus. I know everybody's watched it already. It's kind of old. I haven't watched it yet. I just finished that five star weekend, which I loved. I told you guys about that. But now I'm looking to get in. I need like a new show that's like, not so hard to watch. Like I could kind of half pay attention for nighttime before bed, like after I put the baby down. Like I need something that I could kind of scroll my phone to. And yet, like when I want to pay attention and I feel like my friend was telling me off campus, like, that's a good one. But then I look, I'm like, they seem so young to me. They aren't. They. Isn't it college students? Would I like that? I don't know. I did like, I know heated rivalries. People say it's like a kind of similar vibe to off campus. Obviously heated rivalry is gay. So I related to that a little bit more. And I loved heated rivalry. Loved it. And I need them to come back. I'm ready for more heated rivalry. I feel like they dropped it to us or gave it to us and now we're having to wait forever for more of them. And like, I need more heated rivalry. But my friend was saying, like, if you like that, you might like off campus. So I don't know. I need a. You need to dive into something new. Okay. I love you all so much for listening. Bye Bye. Episode: RHOC: Unboxing
Date: July 31, 2026
In this episode, Danny Pellegrino recaps and gives his unfiltered takes on the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC), continuing his tradition of breaking down Bravo’s reality shows with both sharp critique and comedic nostalgia. Despite his intention to approach the recap with positivity (after feeling "a little bit of a bummer" lately), Danny finds himself both amused and frustrated by the ongoing “snooze fest” of the season’s early episodes. The main event is a party for Vicki, complete with shadiness, TikTok hijinks, gift exchanges, and a lot of ambivalence about the new housewife, Carmella.
Danny expresses his intention to recap with a more positive outlook after several underwhelming episodes, but is quickly rerouted by the episode’s lackluster opening featuring Gina and Emily making TikToks.
Frustration with show pacing and episode hooks:
Danny acknowledges repeatedly “infantilizing” Gina every time she does something new, from selling houses to TikTok attempts.
A standout moment is Gina’s reaction to Carmella’s $3,000 Dior bag:
Emily’s birthday gift (a “your 40s are over” candle) prompts a rant about aging jokes:
Childhood nostalgia stories unfold, including Danny’s tale of burning “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” onto every CD mix.
Discusses Shannon’s envy over not being included in a physical comedy TikTok, imagining her “burning up” inside.
Vicki's reunion with son Michael, who now lives in Spain, brings out bittersweet family drama.
Danny speculates, to comic effect, about Vicki possibly being the first human to live forever, due to advances in medical technology.
The “Don regret” recurring theme:
Danny’s wish: “I want someone to sit his [Don’s] ass down and say, ‘Could you ever refill her love tank, or is it done?’” ([29:05])
Danny’s trademark blend of affection for Bravo, pop culture nostalgia, playful roasting, and occasional exasperation is on full display. He weaves together sarcastic humor (“Electric chair!”), running gags (Vicki’s eternal Don regrets; “Holy shit, bankroll like dat!”), and honest takes about the direction and editing of Real Housewives shows. Ultimately, he champions authenticity and fun over manufactured drama or forced positivity.
