The Comeback is back and if you know me, you know I love anything that captures the absolute chaos and desperation of Hollywood. And nobody does it better than Valerie Cherish, my all time favorite show. Twenty years after its debut, the HBO original comedy series the Comeback returns with Lisa Kudrow reprising her Emmy nominated role as Valerie, who is still chasing her Hollywood dreams and somehow still finding herself in the most awkward situations imaginable. The new season picks up more than 10 years after the second season with Valerie starring in a new show that's actually being written by AI, which feels both hilarious and a little terrifying. I am so excited about this. If you're watching the new season, which you should be, there's also the Comeback podcast where host Evan Ross Katz sits down with Lisa Kudrow and Michael Patrick King to unpack each episode after it airs. They talk about the origins of the show, the real life parallels, and why Valerie Cherish has resonated with fans for more than two decades. You'll also hear from cast members and comedy favorites like Laura Silverman, Ellis Stiller, Abby Jacobson and John Early. If you love behind the scenes stories about iconic tv, this is absolutely your kind of podcast. So stream the HBO original series the Comeback on HBO max Sundays at 10:30pm and watch the Comeback podcast on HBO Max. Or listen wherever you get your podcasts. This is a Summer House Summit with my frequent co host Hannah Aaron Brown. Hannah is joining me to really break down all of the Summer House rumors. Now granted, there's an episode of Summerhouse on this week, of course, but we're really going to dive into rather than doing a traditional recap, which unfortunately you're just not going to get this week. But we're going to dive into all of recapping kind of what's going on in the rumor mill because it seems like there's some. Some chaos amongst west and Amanda. So, first of all, Hannah, how are you?
C
I mean, I'm great. I'm so glad that I have this great mug of giant, great mug of coffee. This is a Libra mug.
B
Sure.
C
You're my Libra. I mean, I'm not a Libra, but you're my Libra brother.
B
Right?
C
Right. So I'm honored to be using this mug today. And I feel like I need a little bit of balance with everything going on.
B
There's a lot happening, and it's been sort of. I don't know if you feel this way, but I've been following all the Summer house rumors for almost like a month, over a month now. And the thing that we were talking about before we started recording is that a lot of them feel not real, because a lot of them haven't been real. Because it's like if you look at Deuxmoi, for instance, has posted a long time ago that west and Amanda had a fling, but they also posted that Kyle was having a fling with some next gen cast member, and that wasn't there Jesse and Sierra or Jesse and Amanda. And so there's been like a hundred of these things. And so I feel like if you are throwing a million darts at the wall, eventually you're gonna hit a bullseye. And so it's like, yes, there's one that's true. Maybe. I think it's true.
C
Yeah, I do too. You were longer to come around than I was, though. It took me less convincing. And you were like, absolutely not.
B
Well. Cause here's the thing. I was on Watch what Happens Live, like, two weeks ago with Kyle. Okay. You were in the mix. It was like, very. It was right when that west and Amanda rumor first surfaced. Okay. And we started Watch what Happens Live. Even before, in the green room, I was like, kyle, can I grill you on some of these rumors and stuff, or can we, you know, so lights up, Andy says welcome. And we're like, kyle, rumors. And I was more interested in the Kyle dating the Next gen cast member from that show. But then also Andy had asked him about the west and Amanda thing, and it seemed like that was like not even. That was like a way less real rumor.
C
Yeah.
B
Even like behind the scenes and everything. That's how it felt to me. Just sort of, like, observing how all these rumors were coming about. It was like, that. The west and Amanda one. It was like, no, that. And even Kyle's answer was like, no, I don't. And I really believed. I don't think he's that good of an actor. So I just. And even if Andy and the network thought that was true, I think he would have pressed it more, too, 100%. I really felt like, oh, that was just. That was like a far off rumor. Like, Andy even pressed the next gen one even more than the west and Amanda one. Cause it was just like, oh, that one seems crazy. And I even said to Kyle, when he sort of denied it, the west and Amanda thing, I said, so there's no truth at all to it. And he's like, no, no, I don't think so. And I truly thought there wasn't acting there. So then when the rumor sort of resurfaced a couple weeks later, I was like, no, that's not true. There would have been some sign or he would have been hiding it or even backstage or in the green room or after the show or something. He might've said to me, like, oh, no, well, that is true. Or something like that. Maybe I'm giving him too much credit. But I really thought, like, that's not a true thing because it.
C
It's. I think it's hard to tell because this whole friend group is so, like, notoriously flirty with each other that it's really hard to know, like, where the line lies for them. Because I personally think, like, even if this ended up not being true, which at this point, I'm pretty positive it is true. But, like, even if it wasn't, I still think it's an inappropriate friendship between Amanda and West. Like, what Wes represented to Sierra, how much that whole situation was, like, really emotionally, like, challenging for her and for Amanda to sort of sidle up to west as, like, a safe source of male attention now that she's divorced. I'm just like, there's a million hot single guys in New York. You're hot and famous and newly single. You could literally be hanging out with anyone. You don't need to be doing this.
B
Right.
C
And it's a you to see it.
B
Well, and not only that, on the show this season, there's been this whole thing about her and Ben.
C
Yeah.
B
Which I really did also think there's been so many inappropriate things with Ben. Okay. Like, the way he has been holding her last week on the show. Didn't he, like, carry her into the house? After they'd been out drinking.
C
The infantilizing of Amanda also needs to stop. Baby, like, enough. I've had enough.
B
Totally. But I think of, like, my husband and it's like, if he was carrying another person, even if I was right there, I'd be like, this is uncomfortable in. It's happened like a handful of times with Ben on the show where that one carnival scene, he, like, lifted her over something and it's like, yeah. I was like, I don't know. This makes me a little. And it's come up and even what Bailey at the dinner was like, you want to fuck each other? What did she say if I were. Yeah, she was right, by the way.
C
Justice for Bailey.
B
Justice for Bailey.
C
Like, just so you know, he wants to fuck you. And everyone was like, oh, my God, it was. But I mean, it's like, then is Lucifer problems now?
B
I know, but. And then that got me thinking, which not I again. I don't want to sound like I'm sympathizing or empathizing with Kyle because he's got his own sort of issues, of course, but when he said on the show, when he. When he said that fuck you to Amanda and was like, she's not paying. She's paying everyone else all this attention, I really. When I watched that, I thought, yeah, Amanda is paying other people attention because, you know, you're so fucked up and whatever.
C
Yeah.
B
But now I'm looking at it through a different lens of like, oh, you. If we're seeing her pay attention to Ben. But then also she's been west. Like, there is some sort of, like, truth to maybe, you know, her giving too many people other attention. And that makes sense.
C
Maybe Kyle picked up on a vibe, even in a subconscious way.
B
And again, he's still awful. Exactly. A million one reason this is a
C
tale as old as time on Bravo is, like, so often, like, someone will, like, out shitty someone else's shitty behavior, and so then we'll just like, automatically put that person on a pedestal. And like, I have no interest in doing that with Kyle. Like, Kyle and was really, like, not a good husband. And I think their relationship had a ton of problems. And I think Amanda was very valid and feeling how she felt. But I do think that, like, this situation is her, like, over indexing and being like, I'm finally single and I'm free and I can do whatever the I want. I'm gonna live for me now. And it's like, but at the cost of people you care about, at the cost of, like, close Friends and people are trying to rewrite history right now and be like, her and Sierra aren't that close. And I'm like, yes, they are.
B
Right?
C
What the fuck are you talking about?
B
Not only that. I mean, of course I'm. I'm not trying to insert myself into this at all. But even at BravoCon, like, I think back, like, I did an interview with Amanda and Sierra together, and yeah, I felt like a genuine friendship.
C
You're on that big bed together.
B
And by the way, like, we talked about this on the podcast, but, like, Sierra kind of gave me shit on the Traders panel because I was hosting it. And she kind of came back at me because I was, like, saying, is Kyle a faithful? And she came back at me because she was sticking up for Amanda.
C
She said, whoa, aggressive. That's a good Sierra.
B
Well, aggressive, yeah. And even when I interviewed her and Amanda together, like, on the floor, I did a little thing with them. I felt like Sierra really had Amanda's back in a way. Way more than she needed to. Way more than Amanda had her back. It was like, I not only feel like there was a genuine friendship there, but that Ciara was genuinely, like, defending the honor of Amanda at a time. Even on the traitors panel, it's like, why does she. She doesn't have to defend Amanda, but she did. She, like, made an effort to be like, well, let's not, you know, let's.
C
Let's not bring that up right now.
B
And so then to know that Amanda was maybe canoodling, you know, with West Sierra's ex, that's an issue.
C
It's nasty work. It's nasty work is what it is. And I feel like. I don't know, I feel like now people are pulling up all these, like, old clips of Amanda just kind of being like a shitty woman to other women.
B
Wait, are there other. I haven't seen these.
C
There was someone pulled up a clip on Reddit that my friend sent to me where it was like, Jules was, like, drinking, like, fireball out of a bottle, and Amanda kicked the bottle while it was in her mouth so that it all dribbled down her face and it could have, like, broken her teeth. And everyone was, like, laughing. And I'm like, that's like eighth grade, like, mean girl type stuff.
B
Justice for Jules.
C
Justice for Jules. Justice for Bailey. So I'm just kind of like. There was also a clip where Amanda was. Sierra was. I think this was last season where Sierra's like, I just really hope I'm not like, a joke after all this And Amanda's like, you're a joke, like about the west stuff. And like, started la and Paige was like, hehe. And Sierra was like, I'm gonna cry. And like, I was like, that's not a funny joke.
B
There's been a couple times this season where Ciara's sort of been celebrating an accomplishment. I think on the show this week. She's. She opens up about buying a house and, you know, she's opened up about very vulnerable things. And it always looking back, because I have, I have seen some clips too online of Ciara where it always feels like other people, Amanda's not celebrating as much as other. Like Mia is celebrating Ciara more than Amanda is. And yeah, I don't know, even at that one dinner where Sierra is really opening up her KJ and Mia are opening up about the race and I feel like, did Amanda. I don't know, maybe I'm looking at it through too much of a monocle, but it's like, was Amanda really being extra supportive in the way that a best friend should be?
C
I think. Was Lindsay the one who moved a chair over and like, rubbed her back or like touched her arm or something? I don't know. But I felt like there could have been more support for Sierra in that scene from her cast members.
B
Obviously we're going to like, look back and pierce through everything like detectives, because that's what we're supposed to do. What else are Bravo fans good for? Like, we're detectives. And that's what's interesting too. There's so many, like, you mentioned clips, but, like, people are resurfacing photos of west and Amanda and things. And before I get into that, I want to mention we talked about Jules and Bailey. There's some of these, like, periphery cast members that all the cast members now are kind of posting these cryptic things. The rumor is that Bravo, the network is saying they're not allowed to post. Please keep this under wraps. I don't know if production's telling them, if the network's telling them, but it seems like they're not commenting on it, at least as of this recording.
C
Yeah, things could change in the next.
B
Things could change. We don't know right now as we're recording. Somebody could release a statement or something, but it seems like. I know we could be missing.
C
My asshole is clenched, you know?
B
You know what I think needs to happen, though? So everybody's posting these, like, memes. So I think KJ and Carl and Lindsay posted like, memes of them. I know. And it's Sort of their reaction, and they're not, like, outright saying anything. Right. And I was thinking about Levi Leva. Lizette, that's her name. Yeah. Levi, what she needs to do, she's either way, like, she's not coming back. They edited her out of the season. Basically, she's fucked up. What she should do is be the smoking gun, and it would either save her to come back or at least get her in the mix a little bit for, like, a job after this. Right? Like, I wish I was managing Levi. Like, I would say, levi, tell us. Tell everyone what you know. Everything you know. Who cares? Who gives a fine fuck if the network is saying, don't. We need you buttoned up. Be as messy as possible right now. This is your one opportunity, Levi, to get in there. Bailey, I think, is gonna maybe be fine. She's got sort of a dalliance with Carl happening. Like, I think she could come back, but Levi's fucked. So Levi, like, drop the receipts. Whatever you have. You probably don't have much. Like, there's probably not a lot.
C
Find something.
B
Find something.
C
Also, like, best case scenario, Levi gets, like, she gets eliminated from the summer house cast, but then because of this, she's on House of Villains, right? And she rebrands herself as a villainous reality TV star who doesn't care who she fucks over as long as she stays relevant. And I'm like, great, yeah, do what
B
you got to do in this economy. Yeah, economy, yeah. She's got to have some sort of information, make a buck. She was in that house. She has to know something. Even if it's just, like, from a group cast text. There's got to be some. They have to have a group text going. All she has to do is, like, hop on her Instagram live or something. I'd be on that group chat and allude to stuff. Like, start giving us some droplets of information because nobody else is.
C
Yeah.
B
And they're all. They're all probably not giving us any information because they're concerned about their jobs.
C
Totally.
B
Levi, you don't have a job no more.
C
You don't.
B
So step your ass up and try to get a job, because you could be the. What was that woman? The assistant to Tom Sandoval? Ann.
A
Ann.
B
She could be the Ann of. Remember, Ann was in a Super bowl commercial.
C
Yeah, she was doing Ziploc commercials.
B
Levi, call up Ann and get some tips, because Ann got in the mix.
C
Ann did get in the mix.
B
She got in the mix. She was doing.
C
Where is she now? We don't know, but we'll see her again.
B
She was doing podcast interviews. She was doing.
C
She's. She was a sketch comedy goddess. She's one to watch.
B
She was throwing Tom under the bus while he was. She was the assistant, and then she
C
went to the Harris tour. All. All at the same time. She's a multitasking queen.
B
Levi needs to call up.
C
Yeah.
B
And that was her name, right?
C
Yeah.
B
Yeah. So they're all posting these memes. I guess that means. Because they don't want it out.
C
Yeah, yeah.
B
Because my. My initial gut reaction was that they were doing this. They all were posting branded content, and I thought, oh, are they just doing this? Because it does help all their branded content when there's rumors like this. Everybody comments on their Buffalo Wild Wings post, right? Because they're like, tell us the tea.
C
Or they're like, team Sierra, bitch. And it's like, that's still engagement for Amanda.
B
That engagement then ups their cost for their next brand deal, and it makes the Buffalo Wild Wings so happy with them. Like, and those branded deals are way more lucrative than what they're getting paid on the show.
C
Yeah.
B
And the other kind of weird thing is, like, Buffalo Wild Wings keeps commenting on everything. Do you notice that?
C
No.
B
They've been, like, commenting.
C
Their social media manager is like, I am clocked in.
B
Their social media manager is, like, working overtime right now. Because every single post that I see about anything, it's like. It's like, oh, this is. This is serious stuff. Come get six wings for 12.99 or whatever it is.
C
Like, this is just as Spicy as our 12 special.
B
Literally. Like Carrie Bradshaw writing chicken wing puns.
C
Get it while it's hot.
B
By the way, I'm recapping Sex and the City. You join me for the end. Just like that recaps. But I do Sex and the City recaps on my Patreon, and there was one, the episode I just did, it was like, Carrie and the gals go to Atlantic City, and Carrie shows up at Miranda's house, and she does the thing that she always does with Big where she knocks on the door and she'll get it while it's hot. And I forget what it is right now. It's like I'm blanking on it. But she knocks on Miranda's door. Who Miranda just had a baby. And she. Oh, I know what it was. They're going to Atlantic City. She goes to pick up Miranda, and she's like, under the boardwalk. It's so cringe and embarrassing, and I loved it.
C
My favorite one is when she's like, oui, oui, avec les French frat. She comes in with her little beret and my McDonald's. Speaking of SGP, I had a dream last night that I went on a date with jfk, but halfway through the date, he left me for someone else.
B
JFK Jr. Was it the real JFK Jr. Or the, like, TV version?
C
It was the real one.
B
Oh, wow.
C
I know. It was a crazy dream.
B
We have to talk about that show as soon as we're done with Summer House, because I want to talk about it. But the JFK junior Of Bravo. Who would you say. Who would you say is the JFK Jr. Of summer house?
C
Oh, my God, that's so hard.
B
KJ.
C
Oh, yeah. It's actually not that hard.
B
He's a sweetie pie.
C
I am excited for KJ to continue to find his, like, confidence and Riz, like, before our very eyes. Because, like, I think now that he's with Dara, I think he's, like, feeling himself in a way that he should have always been feeling himself.
B
Dara the explorer. That's what I call it.
C
They're the explorer. She's gorgeous.
B
I know. She's fishy to me.
C
Really.
B
I'm sorry. Sorry. I don't know. Something I. I don't know. And I'm also concerned with KJ because he does seem so close with West. I'm worried west and Jesse are going to get into him.
C
Like, they're going to, like, alter his psyche.
B
I don't know.
C
Oh, no.
B
Hi, kj, it's me, Jesse.
C
Well, I think that you should be single and fuck as many girls as possible.
B
That was the other issue. I thought, like, this whole thing was a ruse for Jesse. Have you noticed they he's been promoting new music?
C
Unfortunately, I have noticed. Yeah.
B
And I was worried that Jesse was going to, like, come out with a song because I saw something to promote his tour. He got, like, all the cast members to, like, a zoom and whatever. And I was like, if this is all a whole thing for Jesse's music, like, I will take down NBC and Bravo. Like, I cannot handle it. Luckily, I don't think it is. Knock on wood. It better not be. But if Jesse releases a song about this, it's over.
C
It's over. I. My guiding light through all of this was knowing that Sierra historically hates looking foolish, hates feeling embarrassed like that, and obviously who likes those things. But, like, she gets really upset and emotional when, like, she feels like she's been fucked over, especially publicly. So I was like, there's just no world in which I could see Sierra agreeing to any of this for a PR purpose. Especially because like she was already on the Ariana track, like well before this happened. Like she was doing a lot of red carpet stuff. She did like the, the Oscars for the Cut. She did the Wuthering Heights premiere, she reported from the Grammys. Like she's already transcending the show. So I just don't see a world in which be like, yeah, totally. Like, let's just put me at the center of a bunch of dramas that our show gets ratings. Like, I don't think she would do that.
B
I also don't think Amanda looking, I don't know that she would want to look. I think she's carefully sort of curated her image as well. And I don't think she would want to come across the way that she's coming across.
C
She's always given me 8th grade mean girl energy, but to be honest, the bedbugs always have kind of scared me.
B
Like, yeah, you've always been, I want
C
their approval more than anything. I want to make that clear. But they all scare the shit out of me. And I've had brief interactions with some of them where I'm like, oh, I don't think you're interested in making new friends and that's okay. And I think it's also like one of those things where it's like, I think the term girls girl gets like thrown around a lot and it's like, what does that even mean? Because at the end of the day it's like sometimes you just think A is annoying and there's really no reason why, but your spirits just don't agree. But I feel like historically they've been girls girls for each other, not necessarily for new girls entering the house. And I think what we've discovered in this, if it ends up being true, is that Amanda is a girls girl for no one.
B
Well, even going back to preseason, they were kind of the old guard girls, were sort of throwing Levi and Bailey and the new girls under the bus. Like they were saying, you know, they don't fit in, you know, that kind of thing. And it's like watching the season back, I'm like, well, why did you say that? Like they seem fine.
C
Uh huh. You know, it's like new girls are never given a fair shot the way
B
new guys are the that term girls girl. I've had an aha moment with the Real Houses of Beverly Hills this season because Kyle Richards always says she's Like, I'm a girl's girl, but then she does the opposite of it. And I kind of feel like the people who say. Who are the ones who say they're a girl's girl are the ones who are actually the opposite of that. It's like they're. I don't know what the psychology is, you know, but I'm trying to 100%.
C
It's like when you go to a stand up show and like, the comic is like, I fuck all the time. It's like, okay, well, just say that you don't.
B
I like that the stand up was Jesse Salomon.
C
It was Jesse Solomon being like, I get laid every day. And it's like, okay, well, the truth reveals itself.
B
I thought they're just in a marriage. Isn't that how people act in a marriage?
C
He's like, I see them, like, kiss and hug sometimes. I'm like, the other thing too with Kyle and Amanda is like, their whole relationship is like a snake eating its own tail, where it's like, they've both done things wrong. It's been hot garbage from day one. They should have never gotten married. Everyone said it. And also the patience that Sierra has for being, like, supportive for this many years with this shit show of a relationship. Like, I feel like the Scrotch Johansson marriage story meme. Like, just thinking about it. Imagine how they all feel.
B
Yeah. I mean, I think about all the summers they've had to, like, go into that house and just spend so much time dealing with the. Their drama is shocking to me.
C
Shocking. Like, at a certain point, like, if it were Vanderpump Rules, like, remember what happened with, like, Kristen and Katie and Stassia where Stassi's like, I can't hear you complain about Carter anymore. Like, Like, Stassi and Katie were like, this is enough. Like, your relationship sucks. He sucks. We don't want to hear about it anymore. And Kristen's like, I just don't love the way you guys love me. And they were like, I don't know what to tell you. This is annoying.
B
You know, I. I think Vanderpump Rules. There's obviously people making comparisons to Scandal and what happened there with Summer House and this whole thing. And it's. They're very different. And I think Vanderpump Rules is a way more intense show. Like, Summer House is a great show. I love Summer House. But if I were to compare 10 seasons of Vanderpump Rules with 10 season of Summer House, I'm sorry, but like, VPR just like blows it out of the water. Like, it's so much better. And again, we love Summer House, but I just have to shout out like, original VPR was so incredible.
C
It was so good.
B
It was so good.
C
But I think it's because they were all like roaches. Like, they were just like fame hungry roaches who would do anything to each other for like, they were just very impulsive. They were probably on drugs. And it was, you know what?
B
So be it.
C
And live that love and put up the fucking cameras and let us watch
B
and thank God for them.
C
But like, if VPR is roaches, I feel like Summer House was more like butterflies.
B
I really believe that VPR was like, is a millennial text that will be if you ever want to look back on, like, what the era of a 20something millennial was. You can watch all those. That original run of vpr, I know more so even. I love girls. It's like right up there with girls for me of like the millennial experience. If you watch vpr, it's like all there.
C
I remember like being in college and like watching the premiere and becoming instantly obsessed and being like, someday I'm gonna move to LA and I'm gonna work at Sur. And that was like without any irony. In my dream.
B
Did I ever tell you the time I almost. I like went to Sur, I had bar, I used to bartend when I first moved to la. And one night my friend Bex and I, like, we had been drinking, like way after the shift ended, we went to the Abbey and then like someone invited us to survive. The one of the owners and I think one of the people was like trying to flirt with my friend Becca and nobody else. It was empty because it was closed and we played music and like there was like this older gay man I think was trying to maybe get my pants. But there it was like a sliding doors moment where I remember they mentioned, like, do you guys want to work here? Like, we're looking. And this was pre. I think pre VPR was like, right when I moved to Los Angeles.
C
Whoa.
B
And then I. Nothing happened. But I remember him saying, like, would you guys want to work here? We're looking for more, whatever. And I think like, oh, could I have? Would I have been on Vanderpumpel? But honestly, that's like my sliding doors moment.
C
Yeah, it's your Gwyneth Paltrow sliding doors moment. That movie is so depressing, by the way.
B
I'm biting my tongue because I'm trying not to say anything else.
C
What I was gonna say is I feel like that's really all you need, though, is the validation that, like, you're hot enough that, like, in Sir's heyday, they really wanted you to work there, which is not a shock to me at all. But, like, I hope that you really take that and internalize that.
B
Well, I think probably they. I mean, at that time, I was also very attractive. That was my youth. That was my youth. But my friend Becca, too, was like a really gorgeous. And we bartended at a, you know, nearby bar and we had a great time. Anyway, let's take a break here and we're gonna come back and break down more summerhouse stuff. We'll be right back. All right. I need to talk to you about something that is very much my personality right now. I'm loving it. It's the new Tropa Boba bowls from Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Because if you think food that's better to be boring, I'm here to lovingly tell you that you're wrong. It's so delicious. These are acai bowls topped with popping boba, not tapioca. This is the fun, juicy kind. And they are only here for a limited time, which immediately raises my heart rate in a good way. There are two flavors you should know both. The mango Trope Boba bowl is bright and tropical, topped with mango flavored popping boba, fresh fruit, crunchy toppings, and so delicious dairy free cocoa whip. And the berry Tropa Boba bowl has strawberry flavored popping boba, dark choco chunks, fresh strawberries, and that same dreamy cocoa whip. Truly so delicious. They're colorful, they look great. They're textured. Great for an IG story too. Plus, they're drizzled, they're popping, they're full of flavor. It's a full flavor moment in a bowl, really. This is exactly what eat some good looks like. Fun, craveable, and actually enjoyable to eat. So pop into Tropical Smoothie Cafe and try the new Tropo Boba bowls before they're gone. They're only here for a limited time. This episode is sponsored by Tumi, the international travel, lifestyle and accessories brand. Meet Lisa.
A
Hey there.
B
Lisa runs an online boutique specializing in sustainable fashion. With acast, she found a whole new way to reach eco conscious shoppers.
A
Yep. I recorded a quick ad targeted listeners interested in fashion and sustainability using acast's audience attributes targeting feature and set my budget. Before I knew it, people all over were hearing about my shop.
B
Now that's a smart way to grow your business. Hey, Lisa, what's trending right now?
A
Shopping sustainably. And my sales, of course.
B
Start reaching your ideal audience through podcast ads with Acast. Visit go acast.com advertise to get started. And we're back. Hannah, what were we talking about? I want to thank Acast. I meant to do that before we went to break. Okay. Summer house. So they're all kind of like chiming in with these cryptic posts and I don't know, I think we like them not being able to talk about if. If that's truly the reason why we're not getting any sort of information about it. That I think it's turning fans on the show because we need some answers.
C
I. But I'm also, like, I'm having a blast. Like, I'm all consumed and obviously like, woman to woman, for Sierra's sake. I would hate for this to be true. As a viewer and as a fan of Bravo. This is what unites us all. This is.
B
Yeah, yeah, we needed it.
C
The ship we live for. We need.
B
We did need this because we deserve this. Unfortunately, like, that's. It is drama. And. And I think, like, it's okay. I don't. I'm not of the mind of, like, this would be so terrible. I think Sierra's fine. Like, she had broken up with West a Long time ago. This is ultimately really going to. I hate to say it, but really help her career in so many ways.
C
She's gonna be an Oscar winner within the next year.
B
Even though she's. Yeah. Even though she's doing great. Like, I'm not saying she needs it or anything. I'm just saying, like, I think she's gonna be fine. I don't think it. Even with the scandal situation, I felt more concerned with Ariana. That was like, a heavier kind of thing.
C
Yeah.
B
Like this. Yeah. It's unfortunate that your friend would do that, of course, but I don't know if it's, like, so that devastating that the fans are really getting into the nitty gritty of this. It's like, I think Sierra hopefully will have had enough time away from, like, her relationship with west, and even as the seasons end, I think they all sort of go their own ways. So, like, maybe she had some space from Amanda. So I don't know. I don't really worry too much about Sierra, and she's just wonderful and strong. Like, she's gonna be fine.
C
Yeah. I just, like, I hope that she ends up having fun with this because, like, obviously, like, I'm very happy that Ariana found love, like, with a normie. I think that's very healthy for her. I think the relationship seems great. I want Sierra to have some fun with this. Like, I want Sierra to, like, go date, like, a. A list movie star or, like, some really hot athlete. Like, I want her to be out on the town, like, looking hot, going on dates. Like, that's what I need.
B
Obviously we're both married, but, like, if you had a situation like this happen in your life and you could just date any of the single hot guys right now, who would it be?
C
Oh, my God. Milo Manheim.
B
Oh, yeah, you like him. We met him at the. At the one party recently, you guys, and he was really sweet.
C
Don't meet your crush unless, like, your celebrity crush. And Lester. Milo Manheim, because it was like a 15 out of 10 experience.
B
And he's doing the new Tangled. He's playing the Flynn Rider.
C
That's our Flynn. Yeah, yeah.
B
Also, we were upset because it's Cameron Mannheim's son. And we were upset that we didn't get him to say, fuck off, Toby, or tell him to fuck off.
C
We wanted to do a video game where we said, ooh, Toby F. But we didn't have enough time. Wait, that. Also, we brought up. I made a verb at that party that I really want to introduce to the audience. It's called like going Kim McAfee over someone. Which is a bye bye birdie reference. Like the part where she picks up the phone and she goes, conrad Marty to Kim.
B
That's me.
C
And I was, we were talking about, like, who's a celebrity that you go Kim McAfee over. You like Kim McAfee out, over. And who was yours again?
B
I don't remember.
C
Oh, it was the guy from Love Story.
B
Oh, yeah, yeah. No, I'm in love with him. Paul Anthony Kelly. I think he's beautiful. Everyone says he's a bad actor. Yeah. I don't think that I'm giving you a look. Like, I don't know if I'm just like, dickmatized probably. Yeah. Yeah. But you know what? That's my truth and that's my Carolyn.
C
Right, Carolyn.
B
Like Lala once said on Watch what happens live, he makes me go pop, pop, pop, and my panties go drop, drop, drop.
C
Make it go pop, pop, pop. Until my panties go drop, drop, drop.
B
Okay. Yes. So you would do Milo.
C
Yeah. Who would you do?
B
Probably the JFK junior guy.
C
Yeah.
B
I feel like that would be like a chic post breakup relationship. Like he's like an up and I mean, they're both up and comers.
C
Yeah.
B
And it's like. Yeah, that's. That's like our A list moment.
C
Yeah. I think like, you would go on like really chic dates with him and like you both would like be so well dressed and look like super hot together. Milo would be like my cougar moment where it'd be like, oh, my God, there's like a 10 year age gap.
B
Like, how old is he?
C
He's like 25.
B
Wow.
C
Yeah.
B
I don't know how the Paul Anthony Kelly I think is around my age.
C
Yeah.
B
So that'd be okay.
C
Isn't he like Canadian?
B
Yeah. And you know, I love a Canadian. Like, I find a lot of the times when I have a celebrity crush, I'll find out, I'm like, oh, they're Canadian. It's like a trend. Like Taylor Kitsch. I remember I was in love with him and then I found out he's Canadian. I'm like, oh, it seems like a lot of the fellas that I get interested in, celebrity wise, I find out later they're Canadian. And I think that's because they all aren't Canadians. Like nice and sweet.
C
Famously nice.
B
Yeah. Like, I think I. If it weren't for Matt, like, I think I would go Canadian. I'd probably move to Vancouver or something and just Find my own Paul Anthony Kelly.
C
I couldn't blame you.
B
Yeah. What else do we. What else do we got to talk about with the summer house stuff? There was something else I wanted to bring up and I'm blanking right now.
C
I mean, do we think a statement is coming?
B
I hope a statement's coming, but they haven't filmed the reunion yet, so there's. It's possible they are trying now. I do want to say that they have sort of given statements like, Kyle on watch what happens live west was on watch what happens live this week and said kind of give a word salad answer. Did you see the clip? It was like, oh, I took her out on the town or whatever. And looking back at that now, I'm like, oh, there was. It's clear that something was going on with them because the way he answered
C
it was weird and he turned kind of red.
B
Yeah. And Amanda had said in an interview like, oh, I would never date one of the cast members and whatever, but that was obviously a cover up, right?
C
Well, here's. Yes, because here's what bothered me is like I remember we were at Bravicon. Amanda and Kyle were barely together that entire weekend. Anyone who was there, you could tell
B
they were broken up.
A
Yeah.
C
They didn't even acknowledge each other. They were never together. Then she. I got way irrationally mad about that TikTok she did where she's like, I'm in my new place and I ended up being like a playhouse or like a doghouse or something. And I. It kind of felt like she was like poking fun at all of us for speculating. But then we ended up being right. So it's like we've seen.
B
That annoys me. Yeah.
C
Yeah, it annoyed me too, because I'm like, oh, now I'm supposed to feel bad that you would announce your divorce when, like, we already knew this and you made fun of all of us. 8th grade mean girl. So now, well.
B
And I just also to piggyback on that again, making it about myself. But I remember coming back from BravoCon and talking about people gave me a lot of. Not only for pressing Amanda and Sierra about. In Kyle about all that stuff. People were mad at me and were like, oh, well, you. You know, you shouldn't have said that because they're obviously still together or whatever. And then we find out later, it was like, yeah, they weren't. So I was right. But it was like, like a lot of people, I did get like angry messages that I was like feeding the rumor mill about that. And I was like, well actually it was. They weren't together and they were lying to all of us. And I understand, like if, if you or I were to be like lying about our relationship or something, that's one thing. But like their whole, their career is really showcasing their real lives. Like that's what we're consuming. That's the, like the content that they're putting out. That's the show they're giving us. And so then when you're lying to the audience about your life, like we can lie anyone. If you have an office job or something, sure, go ahead and lie about your life. But you can't get mad at the audience. And the whole show we've been watching of Summer House has largely been Kyle and Amanda, like, about their relationship. So then don't all of a sudden act like it's inappropriate that people are interested in these relationships because that's what it is. And if you don't want that, I get that. I wouldn't want that either. But then you need to get off the show and do an office job or something. Like that's where I get really frustrated. I. When. And sometimes like the reality TV stars, they wanna act like victims of something and it's like, yeah, well you're also making hundreds of thousand dollars on the Buffalo Wild Wings brand deal, right? And it's kind of a give and take. And you're not, you're signed up for a show where you're not in control of the narrative. It's a TV show. Like you're. If you wanna just do a podcast where you control the narrative, that's one thing. But like you're on an entertainment TV show. So then don't act like it's so crazy when people are like interested in it or, or. And then don't lie to the audience when it's about that. And I devil's advocate, maybe it's like some protecting, like they didn't know they were broken up here or they weren't sure where they were going or whatever. But I'm more cynical than that. I'm like, I think they all they know and they just weren't ready to like reveal the information yet.
C
100 and yeah, I think it's like for business purposes. Yeah, I think a lot. We've seen a lot of like Bravo. People kind of like flub timelines for their own benefit. But yeah, it's like we're gonna speculate because we have a parasocial relationship with you guys because we watch a reality show that you're On.
B
I'm looking online right now to like, make sure in real time that we're not missing anything.
C
Oh my God, I'm so stressed.
B
There's still a lot of people who are speculating about like an April Fool's thing. And there's really would be nothing worse, I think, for all around if they came out and said, oh, this is April Fool's prank. I actually would. Would everyone would turn on them.
C
Honestly, like, I think there is nothing more juvenile than April Fools.
B
I hate April Fools.
C
I hate it. And every year there's some weirdo on the Internet that's like, I'm pregnant. Just kidding.
B
I know the pregnancy.
C
You can't be.
B
How do people not know that? I don't get how people do not know that.
C
It's like. And then they're like, april Fools. I'm like, that's wildly insensitive, actually. And it's just like, dumb.
B
There's a always a housewife that does it.
C
Oh, my God, grow up.
B
Wait. Speaking of being too woke, let me. I was watching Summer House last week. This is comes back around. But you know how they were all dressed as old people? I like, had a two woke moment because they were riding around on electric scooters and they're. It's like they're doing Mario Kart cosplay and these electric scooters, but dressed as old people. And I remember reading I had this moment where I was watching it and I remembered reading about like, how a lot of old people either can't afford or can't get access to old to scooters. And I was thinking, God, these assholes just on television just scooting around in their electric scooters and the old people who need them can't get them woke moment. And then I had her. I was like, okay, Danny, like, calm down. Maybe they. I'm sure they like gave. Like, that's such an innocuous thing to get upset about.
C
But you're like, did they donate them out?
B
But yeah, I was thinking, where did they go? I was thinking, these motherfuckers. How dare they when old people cannot get access to their scooters?
C
Their culture is not your costume. Right, okay, okay, I. Can I say something controversial?
B
Sure.
C
I'm sick of the whole hot girl ugly costume trope on this show.
B
Oh, yeah, they're all so hot.
C
Like, is it just so silly that I wear like this weird nose? Or like that I have giant saggy titties? I'm like, you're all the most beautiful people I'VE ever seen in my life. And so I get it's, like, cute and fun for you to, like, look unfortunate for, like, five seconds, but, like, some people just look like that, and it's not fun for them.
B
I hate it because it's just like watching an improv scene at the Groundlings, which I spent years doing. Okay. And so that's. It's perhaps triggering and traumatic for me, but it's, like, bad improv. Like, it's just. They're all doing. When they were all in their old costumes, like, cheersing to 85 years out of pill bottles or something like that. I'm like, ugh. They're all just doing too much. It's too much, and I don't need. Like, it felt like 10 minutes of them acting like old people.
C
I know.
B
And it's like, okay, they're not really. It's not like we're watching Nicole Kidman Act 85. Like, we're watching west dressed as Mrs. Doubtfire, and it's like, that's not Robin Williams. Okay.
C
I know.
B
It just annoyed me.
C
I know it annoyed me, but sometimes when I get triggered by, like, things like that on tv, I. I do have to look inward and be like, what's going on with me? You know? And I. I'm gonna say what's going on with me is that I'm jealous of how hot they all are, and I wish I looked.
B
Well, they're. Yeah, they're all hot. Do you find west hot? Does this change how I was sort of really coming around? You hated him, and then you liked him, and now I literally.
C
I saw him over super bowl weekend. I had a blast with him. He was really cool to, like, everyone, including, like, the content creators, the crew. Like, he was just, like, a nice guy. And I do think there's a certain, like, charisma in person that's like, he's just fun. Like, he's naturally very flirty. He loves to get drunk and eat. Like, two of my favorite things. Like, I think he'd be a really fun guy to be friends with. So I could see why. Maybe that's how this started. But, like, it's unfortunate because it's like, I was having fun rooting for West. I would have had fun, I guess, rooting for Amanda's, like, single girl era. But, like. Like, I cannot endorse any of this because I just think it was very unnecessary.
B
Right. Right. I. Yeah, I'm gonna have to see how that all plays out. Like, I. Yeah, I always kind of, like, I Liked West. I didn't like that. Was it last season or whatever. I didn't like him for a season.
C
Well, yeah, because that was post him screwing over Sierra. And then he kind of did this thing where he sort of shut down and like Tom Schwartz, like, mode where
B
he was just like,
C
but this season he's been really fun. And like, that's the other thing is, like, we also know historically that, like, west hates when the audience is mad at him and when the Internet's speculating about, like, whether or not he bought Coke on St. Patrick's Day. And so it's like, I don't think he would go through all this unless he had, like, legitimate feelings for Amanda.
B
What do you think the cast group text looks like right now? And I think. Do you think Levi's even on it?
C
I don't think I was just gonna say. I was gonna say this earlier, actually. I think there's like, like the A team group chat and then there's like B team, C. Like, I think.
B
Do you think Paige is on the A team still?
C
I think Paige is on it, but she muted it and she never checks it.
B
Yeah. Yeah.
C
Like, I feel like when Hannah was on the show, there was a. A chat with the whole cast except for Hannah that no one told her about, not even Paige. And I think, like, with this current cast, it's like, there's definitely splintered group chats right now where everyone's like, what the is going on?
B
Where do you make of Carl? This has nothing to do with the. This has nothing to do with anything other than I worry about him. Yeah.
C
I think, like, there's a softness and a sensitivity to Carl where I just worry about how this is gonna, like, impact his emotional well being and, like, shatter everything he thought he knew.
B
You know, I was really, at the beginning of the season trying to get behind Carl because I've been historically tough on Carl because I. I do not think he's been a good human up until maybe a year ago. And I've noticed a change and a growth in him that I was like, you know what? I'm gonna get behind Carl. But then I struggled at the beginning of the season, and then he dressed in the old man makeup and I fell in love with him.
C
Now wait a minute.
B
I said, oh, there it is. That's who I'm here to support. And yeah, I do worry. He seems so fragile. Yeah. Even, like, his interactions, his brief interactions with Lindsay, it feels like he's got more intensity than she does with it. And it makes Me, it just. I worry for him and I worry about soft bar. I mean, all their businesses. It looks like Loverboy is floundering. I don't know if Loverboy. I don't think Loverboy can come back from this.
C
I don't think so either.
B
I did. Also, speaking of our. Our sleep paralysis demon, Bethany, she. She posted a TikTok about Lover Boy. It showed up on my thing and it was like, you know how she always has to act like she's invented everything?
C
She discovered it.
B
She discovered business and alcohol and drinks and she's first in the market.
C
And so she was like, Monk fruit seltzer water.
B
Yeah, she was like going on this big thing about how hard the industry is and how TV doesn't translate to sales. You got to get out at the right time. And like it was. It was this big long tick tock. But it made me think. I don't know if. I don't know if Lover Boy can come back from this.
C
Yeah, I mean, I think it was already floundering like you said. I've also tried Lover Boy and I
B
don't think it's piss water. Yeah, they're all piss water.
C
I'm not really like a spike tea kind of person in general.
B
Yeah.
C
But I just kind of thought it had that like fake sugar taste to it, even though it's. I think it's sweetened with monk fruit, but it just. I. It wasn't my thing. And the merch was arguably the most lucrative part of that business, which Amanda was behind.
B
I. Honestly, that's a. Even bigger nightmare to me than living in the house with a married couple who's arguing all the time is like only being able to drink Lover Boy. Like, I know they can. They're allowed to drink other things, but that I even. Even if I did like it, I wouldn't want to only drink a Lover Boy.
C
Like, no, same.
B
I don't. It seems to. And granted, I've never tried it, so I don't know how it tastes, but any of those kind of specialty drinks, like, you get tired of the flavor. Like, if I'm drinking, I just want like either a beer or a vodka soda or like something basic.
C
Yeah.
B
There's like, I don't want a lot of. If I'm drinking a lot of it. If I'm having one, I can maybe do one Lover Boy.
C
Yeah. Yeah.
B
But when they're partying all weekend and I see them can after, can I. Oh, that's disgusting.
C
Also, I'm gonna say something nasty rude here. We go, what was. What'd you just hit?
B
You'll have to listen about that.
C
The branding is upsetting to me. It's just like, millennial nightmare branding, and I don't like it. And I think the merch was cute because oftentimes it kind of ignored the branding of the actual can and packaging itself and sort of just did its own thing creatively. And I don't wanna. I like, if I'm gonna drink a canned drink, I want to feel, like, chic, like, holding the can. It's. I feel so sexy with a Diet Coke in my hand.
B
Totally.
C
It's because the branding is, like, clean and classic and sexy. I don't feel that way about Lover Boy. It's very neon. It's really.
B
It's a lot. It's a lot going on.
C
Yeah.
B
You know what Bethany had said?
C
What did she say? She's always got something.
B
Always got something. There's this one account that, like, breaks down every. But I guess, like, Bethany. They'll be like, Bethany posted 15.
C
Is it that guy?
B
It's a guy.
C
Yeah.
B
I don't.
C
She, like, hates him.
B
Does she? Yeah, yeah. He, like, goes on there and he's like, Bethany posted 15 TikToks today. She deleted five of them immediately. Like, it makes her sound so crazy. But anyway, she was saying, like, expanding too much. And that was the other thing with Lover Boy. It was like. It felt like there's too many flavors coming out all the time. And maybe that was strategic, but for me, as a consumer, it just was like, I don't know. Which one do I even get? Like, I don't. If I wanted to try it for the first time, it's like, I don't know. They have non elk now. They have THC ones. Then they have all these different flavors. They got a sweet tea, then they got a lemonade, then they got got. And so I wouldn't even know what's the flagship. Like, what is your. If I'm trying this for. Oops. I'm not editing that out. If I'm trying this for the first time, what do. What do. What do I get?
C
No, I think you really need to.
B
Like, I just got two texts, like, as I was saying that one sentence about Summer House.
C
Oh, my God.
B
No, there's no news. I just got two texts of, like, what's going on? What do you think? People keep coming to me, and I'm like, I don't know.
C
I'm so.
B
But I am on a microphone at this current moment, trying to act like I know.
C
Literally trying to entertain people while we figure it out, too. I feel like you need to, like, nail. Sorry, Back to lover boy. You need to, like, nail your hero product and then expand. But I felt like the hero product wasn't that impressive to begin with, so then it was kind of, like, cool. Maybe I'll like this other flavor better.
B
You saying hero product makes me feel like I'm watching a Bethany TikTok right now.
C
I'm so sorry.
B
No, I like it. Let's take one more quick break.
C
Break.
B
And then we're gonna come back. And we still have. I actually have other thoughts that I want to get to. We'll be right back. Spring always feels like that moment when you realize you've been in hibernation. Suddenly, the calendar fills up. You got coffee, meetings, dinner, travel. You're functioning like a human outside the home. And I don't want to be peeling off heavy winter layers anymore. I want clothes that breathe, move with me, and still make me look like I have it together. And that's where Mack Weldon has really stepped in for me. Their Ace collection is kind of the sweet spot between comfort and polish. You've heard me talk about their underwear before. I love them. It holds up good. After multiple washes, the sweatpants are in half. Zips are crazy comfortable. Soft, flexible, elevated. They look sharp. I've even worn the Ace blazer, which looks like a blazer but feels like a sweatshirt. It's like a wizardry now. The fit is clean without being tight, structured without being stiff, stiff. It's the effortless thing where you don't feel overdressed or underdressed. Just solid, confident, comfortable. say hello to Mia hey there. Mia runs a pet grooming service in Chicago, but getting new clients was rough
A
until I started using acast. I recorded my ad targeted pet owners in the area and let ACAST do the rest. Now people all over the city know about my grooming services.
B
Mia's business is looking sharp. What's your secret for happy pets and happy clients?
A
A fresh cut, a friendly vibe and a well placed podcast ad.
B

C
No, but I thought it was funny, I guess.
B
Like people. I didn't realize people told him he looked like Robin Williams all the time. I didn't even think that. Did you?
C
I see it now that people said it, but I wouldn't have noticed it on my own.
B
Huh.
C
Yeah.
B
Did you see Amanda posted like a spawn con? Or maybe it was an interview, something for like a weed company today where it's like, you know, she's really leaning into the weeder and she like had a blunt and she was like midriff showing blunt.
C
She's just like a cool girl who just wants to like smoke weed and get drunk and eat food. But also she has abs and like isn't that so cool for her?
B
I sort of feel like I. She's not who I thought she was. Is that a. I don't know what I thought she was, but I'm noticing like I don't think I ever had a handle on her personality.
C
Well, I think, I think it's kind of like one of those things where Kyle was so often out of pocket that, like, it kind of eclipsed.
B
Yeah. Like, her personality to me, became a victim of this horrific relationship rather than. I guess she had the swimwear thing. But that didn't even really stick, did it? No, because, I mean, like, is that around?
C
Yeah, I think she just brought it back. I think. Well, I think the first one was a collab. I don't know if this one's a collab or if it's like actually her own brand now, but she was very, like, receptive to feedback. I will say people weren't super pleased with the first drop, but she was, like, receptive.
B
Why? Because it was like disintegrating as you put it on or something, probably.
C
And also, it's like the whole thing was like, she's gonna make swimsuits for girls with big boobs. But like, she kind of didn't like. It's like she, like, at the end of the day, she's a very thin woman who happens to have big boobs. And so it was kind of just like those swimsuits work for thin women and thin women with big boobs. But, like, if you're. If you're maybe a curvier woman with big boobs, will it still support your big boobs?
B
Interesting.
C
I don't know if that made sense, but.
B
No, I mean, boobs in general don't really make sense to me.
C
I hate shopping for swimsuits because I have big boobs and it's a nightmare.
B
Yeah.
C
And I have a big butt, so it's like, buckle up.
B
You know, when I was a kid, I was like a T shirt in the water kind of kid. That's. So I was. I had like a very. I had like a couple of years of very chubby childhood years. And it was like, like my body dysmorphia started at that time. Early, you know, Very early.
C
Yeah.
B
And it was like, oh, I want to wear the T shirt in the pool anyway. It's sad.
C
No, my. I had the girl version of that, which was. I would wear tankinis, which is like a tank top bikini. But, like, what's so diabolical about tankinis is they cut you off like at your lower stomach, which, like, who has a flat lower stomach? Like, I definitely don't. And so it was literally just like a little window for, like, arguably a little window. One of my most self conscious.
B
I know.
C
So, you know, I'm right there with you.
B
I always like the. The trend of like, you know, from. I don't know if it's like the 1920s or something. Like men's putting the waist above the little. Above the belly button, basically, or like right around the belly button. To me, that's ideal because, like, that's my problem area is like right there. And so I always hope and pray that like, that's like a low rise jean. I don't want it, like, I can't do it. I just feel muffin toppy. Same like give me. I want the trend where it's like above. Love the belly button.
C
Yeah. I know. You see those like cute videos of like hot guys in the 50s with their, like swimming.
B
It was ideal. Even if you watch old clips like Marlon Brando or something.
C
Oh, so hot.
B
You know, the pants, the waist was high and it's like he's a beater. And the pant above the belly button. Ideal.
C
Have you ever heard his natural voice?
B
Yes.
C
It's so like high and pretty.
B
Yeah.
C
And like he's just so cute and like flirty.
B
I know. He was so handsome.
C
I know. So handsome.
B
Any other thoughts about Summer House stuff?
C
I just, I. I worry for the future. I also, I will say I think if this ends up being true, I do think Sierra is going to leave the show.
B
Yeah.
C
But do you think Kyle would.
B
No. You know, when I. I was trying to grill Kyle about watch at Watch what happens live, and I don't. I think this might have been off air, but I think he wants like another season because I think this season maybe it's. It's not good for him. Right.
C
Yeah.
B
And I think he wants another season. So although they're doing in the city, I think they all maybe could want another season of summer redemption season. Yeah.
C
Do you think they're gonna pick up cameras again? Do you think they are right now?
B
I think they might be right now. I do think they might be right now. But here's the thing. Well, there's also this rumor, Dumas posted this too, of like the network is like gonna cancel it or something. But I think that's like the opposite of what would happen. I don't think. Think there's any way. But I do think they're scrambling because allegedly my take is, and I've said on the podcast before, is that they'll like lead into. They will lead into from Summer House, into the news, into the city. So basically, like, they'll be Kyle or whoever will be at Summer House and then we'll see him drive into the city and that'll launch this year. Yeah.
C
Yeah.
B
I think that's probably what I'll do happen. And this throws a wrench in that because I had. Imagine they already have that done, edited, ready to go. And so how do. I was thinking about this yesterday, actually. Like, this is kind of a nitty gritty thing, but, like, how do they edit that? How do they edit this all into it then? Because then you can't really do that seamless transition. It doesn't make sense.
C
Right.
B
Maybe they. One of the options I was thinking is like, maybe this gets tacked on to in the city at the end of that season. Or they're gonna have to do some Inception style timeline where it's like the finale opens with this stuff and then we go backwards and then they love doing that.
C
Yeah.
B
Because there's gonna have to editors a raise. There's gonna have to be some sort of re editing because that's how I would imagine in the city.
C
Do you think it's gonna launch? If there's any truth to what Dumois posted about Bravo, like, scrambling for contingency plans and stuff in the event that this ends up being true, do you think Bravo would scramble to find another show for Sierra to be on if she wanted to be, or do you think they would just let her walk?
B
I think she would.
C
She could be on in the city. Isn't she going to be?
B
No.
C
Oh, she's not?
B
No. I think. I think they would keep Sierra on Summer House and keep Amanda on the city. Right. Because Amanda's already in the city. What about west still in summer? I mean, I think they would even.
C
I don't think Sierra would cohabitate with that, man.
B
Yeah. I don't know. I don't know.
C
I mean, like. Because I think it's like whatever Sierra wants.
B
I mean, they're not gonna like, give her a whole show.
C
No, no.
B
And she doesn't fit in. They are starting. I did just hear a rumor that there's like another New York show that, like, is in the works or something that's sort of like a. I don't know if this is even past like, or got picked up or anything, but I did hear they're like either doing one or filming a pilot or something like that of like another New York show that's not Housewives. So it's not that age. I mean, the truth is Sierra could sort of fit in with Roni.
C
True.
B
Like age wise because they skewed that lower. Even though that's a flop show. We don't need her there.
C
No, she deserves better.
B
She's too old, I think for in the city or I mean, next gen.
C
She'd be like, like, why am I with all these children?
B
Yeah. So I don't know.
C
Yeah, I don't know either. I have a thought reality show in LA and put us on it.
B
Well, there you go.
C
I don't know that. Would you want to be in reality tv?
B
No, I don't think so.
C
I think I'm too scared.
B
I would just want to be a friend. I always think it'd be fun to be a friend.
C
Friend of.
B
Yeah, like just to be in a confessional and like talk and then I know, like I don't want to get in the mix.
C
But then the reunion. Yeah, I would want to be a friend of. Because you could talk and then people online would be like, you're so funny. Oh my God. That one liner was great. I agree with you. But then you don't have to show up for the reunion where people are like, why the did you say that about me?
B
Yeah, I think the first is perfect.
C
Yeah.
B
They are doing the next gen LA though. But then it's like I was seeing some of the cast for it. I'm like, I don't give a flying fuck about. It was like Kyle Richards daughter. Like, I'm sorry. They've tried to make the God bless them, but they've been trying a hundred shows to make them happen and it's not going to happen. They did a Netflix show. They've been on Beverly Hills Housewives. They're not interesting. Yeah, unfortunately. I'm sure they're wonderful and they're beautiful, but there's some people, it's like they're not made for reality.
C
They don't pop off the page.
B
Yeah. I'm like, enough with that family. Like, I actually don't want Kyle on Beverly Hills anymore. To me, she's sucking out all the air of that show.
C
Yeah.
B
And so then we're gonna give the daughters 100 shows.
C
I have fatigue. Bring back Denise Richards and her wild ones.
B
I want the wild things on. I know that's fascinating to me, but. But I do get frustrated with in the reality TV ecosphere or whatever. Like, I'm totally fine even with Sierra or Amanda or any of them. I'm not attached to any of them that I need them to get on another show or anything. Like, if this is the end of the road for this trio of people, great. They went out with a bang. I'm okay not seeing them again. Even I felt differently With Scandal, I was like, God, people, I'm. People are gonna yell at me for saying this, but even with Sandoval, it's like he's kind of like, such a mess that I want him on another real. You know, like, I kind of am interested. I hate to say that, but I'm. I'm kind of interested in seeing him be a mess elsewhere.
C
Yeah.
B
Like, I don't know that I'm so interested in West, Amanda or Sierra that it's like, I need them in 100. I don't care if they go on or not.
C
Well, I think, like, I think grand scheme of life, they all seem pretty like, like, stable for reality tv. Like, I don't think they gave us the level of mess that Sandoval did. I mean, obviously, like, Amanda and Kyle have had some, like, really insane fights. Sierra has gotten into it with people before. But as far as, like, consistent mess and chaos, like, Sandoval is in a league of his own.
B
Yeah. Like, they. And honestly, the blueprint really should be Ariana. If anything. It's like, I'd like to see Sierra go host. She's been hosting anyway. It's like, go host a show or something like that. She would be great. Joel can booster hosted Love island or Love Hotel or whatever. And I think, like, that would be a great outlet for Sierra if Joel doesn't. Because I know Joel's on Scrubs now, so it's like, that would be interesting to me.
C
I could definitely see her going the Ariana route where it's like, route, route. Hello.
B
Or she'd be great as the Bachelorette, but go ahead.
C
Yeah, right where she, like, hosts and then she like, that will lead to, like, some speaking roles on some stuff. Like, I could definitely see her having of a lot, like, like the way that there's rumors that, like, Paige is gonna have a cameo in Devil Wears Prada too. Like, I could see Sierra doing stuff like that. So.
B
Yeah. And then Amanda could sit on in the city. West stays on summer house. And then it's like, yeah, they all kind of win out of it.
C
Yeah, that's true.
B
I don't know how Kyle and Amanda do in the city. I don't understand that.
C
That I need to watch.
B
Yeah.
C
Because then I'm like, is Kyle gonna be able to, like, spin this straw into gold and be like, yes. Even though I was a diabolical terrorist, now you all feel bad for me.
B
That was something I wanted to ask you. Like, do you think Kyle's gonna be able to flip this, like, public perception of him in a positive way, because I kind of think he will. I'm not saying that's a good thing or I agree with that, but I think it'll happen.
C
Sometimes I feel so fucking stupid as like a Bravo viewer because, like, I'll be so mad and something will happen. It's like squirrel. And then I just, like, look in the other direction, Forget. And like, I have friends who are so smart about being like. But never forget that in season two.
B
That's how I feel about Carl.
C
Yeah. Yeah.
B
I feel like everyone sort of just forgot that Carl was like a nightmare. And yes, I understand he was like abusing substances and going through a tough time and everything, but I'm like, are we all just sort of now? He's like a puppy dog and people treat him like a puppy dog. And I'm not saying he doesn't seem sweet and everything now and has growth and change, but I kind of think I go, I'm not forgetting, like, kind of the messy Carl. Everybody else is forgetting the messy Carl.
C
And you're like, I'm here to tell you that man is messy. Yeah. I will be interested to see how Kyle flips this. I will say, I think like, like, I think Kyle definitely apologized for the way he treated Amanda. Like, as soon as it aired. It seemed like everything was fine with them by the time this even aired. I think the reunion is going to be really telling as far as how Kyle can or cannot spin this in his favor. I think I could see him kind of laying low and like shutting the up about it and just letting the audience kind of run with it, which.
B
Which is what he should do.
C
I think that's kind of what he's doing. I think the most he's engaged with this is like, obviously he was asked to watch what happens live when you were there and then. And he responded to a two judgy girls, like, thread about. They're like, no one gives a shit about how Kyle feels. And he like posted like a hand raising emoji with a crying emoji.
B
But he also posted a picture of him and Sierra together, which I thought was like a little cryptic.
C
Oh, yeah. And then the location tag was psych ward. Mm. And then the song he put with it was about, like, finding people who are there for you.
B
The thing that I think he's smarter about than like maybe a Tom Sandoval was is that Kyle, even with his post where he apologized to Amanda for how he treated her last week on the, on the episode, it just felt like the right kind of apology. It was just like, yeah, I was so. I was dumb or whatever. I forget the exact wording, but it was just like taking ownership of the behavior and not with like a. But like I feel like Tom Sienoval would always. I can't remember back to that time, but I always felt like it was.
C
It was always a. Sorry, but.
B
Oh, but she did this.
C
Yeah.
B
No, truly, do you think Sandoval should be on the Valley?
C
No. I'm so tired of him. I'm so excited for that show to come back though. Yeah, I need it.
B
Yeah.
C
Injected in my veins I need the darkness.
B
I really want to see Britney date. Like that's what I'm most excited about by that show.
C
I know.
B
Which I don't think a lot of people are that excited about it, but I want to just see her have a date night.
C
Give that woman a date night.
B
Yeah. Like, I think it'll be funny. I don't know. I kind of like more than anything, I'm just excited to see Britney without the baggage of Jax. Like, even if she ends up being a nightmare, like, I think that'll be fun to watch. Like, I don't know, Whatever we get from her. Whatever we get from her. Like, I'll have some laughs. I also, I love watching Britney because it's fun to do the Kentucky accent, which I do lovingly. Like my mother in law lives in Kentucky. Like family of family in Kentucky. So it's all good. But yeah, I like, I'm excited to watch Britney.
C
Brittany has like a lot of pent up anger and she always has. I don't think it's all as a result of Jax. Like she. I think there is like that like country girl in there who like is dying to pull someone's hair and like
B
get in a bar fight, you know, I just saw somebody post a clip of Remember that when she found the Faith recording and they're all like wasted. Yeah, I saw the recording.
C
Rotten hell.
B
And somebody says, I think it was James says, like something about says the word sweetheart. She's like, I am a sweetheart.
C
And then he screams.
B
That's like her thesis statement is like her anger, like yelling, I am a sweetheart.
C
Drunkenly slurring I am a sweetheart.
B
And it's like, that's. That's Britney.
C
It is.
B
It's like, that's what I want to see. Even watching her date, I'm like, oh, well, she's gonna try to be a sweetheart. But then we know underneath there's like this other layer.
C
There's a darkness.
B
Yeah. But then she on camera always presents like as a sweetheart.
C
I know. I love when she can't harness her rage and it just like bursts out.
B
I am a sweetheart.
C
I am a sweetheart. Also when she was like, knock him the fuck out. When Sandoval brought up her homophobic pastor. Also, I'm excited for Jesse Lally's girlfriend Lacey and Michelle Senier.
B
Oh yeah, yeah.
C
Get in the mix because I think Lacy, like I, I love that she's coming in. Like people are already side eyeing her because she was so anti last season and all of a sudden she's getting her own storyline or whatever. Right.
B
And I haven't watched the premiere yet, but they did have, remember last season, the finale, like Lacy, Jesse's. Whatever. Oh wait, I think there was an update. Okay, you look up the update and I'll tell this story.
C
Oh my God.
B
Oh my God. There was something.
C
Wait, wait. Oh my God.
B
What's happening?
C
They posted a joint statement.
B
What's happening? Hold on. Matt, turn on the fan.
C
Oh my God.
B
What's the statement? Read it.
C
Oh my God. We've seen the growing online speculation. So while this is all still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it. We've shown up for each other as friends over the years through all the highs and lows. And what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of genuine long standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care. As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this. Wow, I am sweating.
B
I have the chills. So it's real. Who posted that? Amanda.
C
Amanda and Wes to their stories.
B
Wow. Okay. This happened at the perfect time.
C
Someone just messaged me. Matt, get the fan.
B
I know, I got a bunch of texts. All of a sudden I just got a bunch of texts. I got some texts.
C
Say it again.
B
I got some text. It's happening. Okay. Right, okay, okay. We gotta break this down. Sit tight, little bear. Okay, so it's true. So we just did an hour speculating and now it's true.
C
Honestly, I'm so glad that we like we'll never Forget where we were when we saw that.
B
No, this was real. So it is real. Wow. So I'm glad they finally said something and sounds like it's actually like a relationship, right?
C
Yeah.
B
I mean, I was sort of in shock as you were reading that statement,
C
but they're in love.
B
They're. That's. I need to hear everybody's reaction now. I need to know, how's Sierra taking this?
C
How long?
B
How long? It didn't say how long. It didn't say how long did it. No. Wow, wow, wow.
C
When was the first. When did it first.
B
This is gonna be great for the show.
C
When did it first happen?
B
Everyone's gonna be combing through the episode this week and next week, and they still have, like, a handful of episodes left. And now aren't you looking at. Even last week on the show with west sort of sticking up for Amanda. Right. Remember, he was, like, the only one who was like, I'm gonna go check on her. And then he goes. And this week on the show, he's like, I gotta talk to Kyle about this. So it's like, was that leads. That sort of makes me feel like there was a connection then.
C
I know. Last summer, and people are posting clips of him always being, like, super handsy with her and her being handsy with him and him, like, picking her up.
B
Do you think Ben. The flirting with Ben was like, her way.
C
Herring.
B
The red herring?
C
I don't know if she feel like you can get.
B
Do you.
C
I mean, no. She might be. I don't know if she's that, like, calculated, I guess, is what I'm saying.
B
Yeah. What do you think I was gonna say? Do you think out of the men on Summer House, who do you think can get it up the best?
C
Probably West.
B
Because I feel like. Don't you sometimes feel like. I've said this on my podcast, but,
C
like, how we're whispering.
B
I know, because I feel like it's an inappropriate thing to speculate on. But you know what? We're here too late.
C
Sit there. Yeah.
B
Apologies in advance, but I always feel like a lot of the men, I'm like, I don't think they'd be good at sex, but I do think west actually might be. Unfortunately. Unfortunately?
C
Yeah.
B
I'm not supportive of his actions at this moment.
C
No. Oh, my God, Danny. I'm bereft.
B
So any. I guess. I don't know. I even know. How do we end this? Like, is this.
C
Where do we go from here?
B
Where do we go from here is the truth. I mean, we speculate. On sort of where the cast goes. And now, I guess our opinions aren't changing because we thought it was real, and now we're getting confirmation that it was real.
C
Now we're getting confirmation. I do like being right. That's one of my great joys in this life.
B
I feel bad that I wasn't right.
C
That's okay.
B
It's like that time of Scandival when the week before Scandal happened, I was on my podcast singing Tom's praises, and I was like, he's really sweet guy.
C
Like, you're Meredith. I didn't know.
B
And then it was like, two days later, scandal happened, and people were like, danny, I'm listening to your podcast from this week. And you were, like, going on and on and on and on.
C
I think that's the other thing, too, is you probably get this more than me, but, like, I think sometimes people think that because we're sort of, like, in the, like, Bravo content creator sphere, that we, like, have secret intel, or that we're, like, super close, that we have all these contacts. It's like, I purposely try not to be Icarus, and I try not to fly too close to the sun, because when I have historically, it's, like, been so much drama that I just, like, physically can't take it. So I try not to get too close to anyone because then I don't feel like I can have fun as a commentator. So toeing that line is hard.
B
But, yeah, I do always try to share the information that I know in, like, a respectful and cryptic way, because I do often find out things. Not even just from cast members, like, sometimes from cast members, whatever. And I don't ever want to, like, spoil a show because I think these shows are fun to watch.
C
Totally.
B
But if you people who listen to my podcast often will say, like, oh, you were right about this thing. And sometimes I'm like, yeah, because I knew about it and I, like, didn't want to outright say it, you know?
A
Yeah.
B
I mean, there was even a couple of things I've said on this episode that we just did that I'm like, I kind of shared things in a cryptic way.
C
I felt like before we started recording, I told you. I was like, I feel like at this point, I have, like, 15 friends in the Bravoverse who, like, have confirmation from someone.
B
Yeah. See, this was a situation where I didn't actually have any knowledge. Like, this was a situation. I was like, I didn't. I kind of went back and forth a hundred times. At first, I didn't believe It.
C
And then, yeah, within the last, like, 48 hours, I think I got more and more confirmation.
B
Going back to what we talked about at the beginning with Kyle, I. I really believe he's in shock about this because just after doing watch what happens live with him, I don't think he. I really. And my heart and soul do not believe that he had knowledge of this. But I could be wrong. What do I know? He could have been. But I do feel like this is going to be a surprise to him.
C
There's nothing worse, though, than the betrayal
B
of, like, not that he's. He's not the victim in this.
C
I'm talking about Sierra specifically. There's nothing worse than, like, a close girlfriend of yours, like, sneaking around with a guy you like behind your back. Like, it's because it's like, of course, like, Wes. That wasn't nice of him to do. But from girlfriends, you just expect more and you expect a different.
B
Any friends. You just should not. You should not, like, go find another man.
C
Anyone.
B
Like, it's not worth it. I just think it's cheap and it's
C
very restaurant culture coded.
B
Yeah. Like, you don't. You could find somebody else. Go Jesse or someone like anyone else. Anyone else.
C
Else. It's like, I just think, like, I hope Sierra is okay, but, like, that kind of, like, shock, like, that kind of betrayal and experiencing that so publicly, like, it really hurts. And I hope that she's hanging in there. I will say, like. Like, best case scenario is, like, the whole Internet's, like, gonna rally behind her. The whole cast is rallying behind her like, there's no world.
B
Where do you think Amanda goes? Like, I don't think. Do you think everyone's gonna obviously turn on Amanda west, right?
C
I think so.
B
Like, how do. Yeah. I don't know where they. I feel like they're gonna be the ones I hate. Yeah, I feel like they're not gonna.
C
Did you ever see that Jennifer Lawrence movie Mother?
B
No.
C
It's really.
B
I try. I put it on. It was like, not for me.
C
Well, there's a scene where, like, this house full of people just starts, like, kicking the. Out of her and being like. And I'm like, that's how it feels when someone in the Bravoverse does something wrong. Or the whole Internet's just gonna.
B
Yeah, I know.
C
Be like, monster.
B
And I hope. I mean, with both Amanda and West, I think that will happen. It will, unfortunately. But I hope everyone is, like, not as brutal.
C
I know it's like, it's hard because it's Like, I, you know, I've talked to you about this. Like, I'm trying to learn the line of, like, how do I comment on these things in a way that's, like, not something that I can't take back? That's really gonna, like, fuck with someone's feelings or fuck with their life? And, like, I want to, like, have fun with it with everyone else and comment on it. But, like, Like, I do think people need to remember there is a line. Like, I.
B
These are still when we'll all probably cross it.
C
Well, I'll probably. Probably already have, but. But I'm just saying, like, you know, they're gonna get, like, death threats and stuff.
B
Yeah. I don't want that. I don't. That's where I kind of worry. That's why.
C
Don't dox them. Don't threaten them. Like, chill out.
B
And I think, if anything, what we should do is, like, celebrate Sierra.
C
Yes.
B
And. And, yeah, and we can still sort of hate the other ones, but. Absolutely. But, yeah, I just don't. I want. I just. Because I imagine it would be such a mind.
C
I think sister circle, though. I think it's like, let's hate on them, like, ami as airwaves, but maybe let's not, like, be trolls in the comments. That's, like, my personal boundary.
B
Yeah. Like, this is a personal space.
C
Yeah. This is sister circle. This is great. Mugs.
B
Like, yeah. Like, we're here.
C
We're here together. We're here with you.
B
Between us girlfriends.
C
Yeah.
B
So everything we stay. Stays between us.
C
Yeah. So, yeah, but.
B
Yeah, I. But. But. But again, they shouldn't have done that. I mean, it's, like, really sneaky. It's sneaky of Amanda. Who do you think it's sneakiest of? Amanda.
C
Right? I think so. I think Amanda and I know people are gonna be like, oh, my God, why are you always so mean to women? I'm like, because girl, betrayal hits different guys are simple creatures. Respectfully, Amanda. Like, especially straight men. Very simple creatures. Amanda. Like, it's like, girl, you knew that was fucked up. Also, Danny, this is such a missed opportunity.
B
But. But, yeah, what? I think the other thing that maybe we're not. Hold on. I want to hear that thought. But the other thing that maybe we didn't mention is, like, Wesley and Sierra also had a very close. I feel like, maybe even closer than Amanda. And he keeps saying that this season of, like, we were really closer than anyone knows. So, you know, it actually might be, as I'm talking through it, it's like, maybe him betrayaling, betraying Sierra even more.
C
Yeah. Because that's the other thing, too, is like, the other thing that's pissing me off that I'm seeing online is people downplaying the relationship that west and Sierra had where they're like, oh, it was never that serious. I'm like, I think it was. And obviously, it really hurts here.
B
He said that in a confession this season.
C
Yeah.
B
Just maybe last week or something. He's like, people don't really know how close we were.
C
Yeah. And as the season's been airing, it's like they went to the super bowl with a group of people, everyone.
B
She's been kind of giving him more chances, and then this is what he does with that extra chance. I'm actually more pissed at west now.
C
Now we're. Now.
B
What was the thing that you were gonna say?
C
I was gonna say this. A missed opportunity to go, cut, cut, cut.
B
We got you.
C
We got you.
B
I'm getting all of these texts. What is Amanda thinking? Somebody just texted, well, oh, my God. What's happening? I'm getting so many texts.
C
I really hope this listeners enjoyed being on this journey with us, because God knows it was a roller coaster.
B
I know.
C
I feel like I need to, like, throw up.
B
I think I need to, like, get
C
a martini or something.
B
Matt, get the Marlboro lights.
C
Hey, Amber, go get my smokes.
B
Get the smokes. I need a fresh heater and some cigs. Yeah. I don't know where we go from here, but you know what the show's gonna be. This is gonna help in the city. This is gonna help Summerhouse.
C
That's showbiz.
B
That's showbiz. And unfortunately, Bravo. I hope they learn their lesson and don't completely recast the show like they did with Vanderpump Rules. Ratings were through the roof with the Vanderpump Rules. They were like, let's reboot it. It's like, what the fuck were you thinking?
C
Don't touch it.
B
Like, what the fuck? I know it was, like, stale towards the end, and I get it creatively, but it's way worse now, and nobody's watching. So, like. And from a business mind, it's like, how fucking dumb were you all to reboot Vanderpump Rules when the ratings were, like, through the roof? Even in that last. Again, I know. It was like the cast didn't want to film with each other and stuff. It's like, we'll still figure it out, because look at how the audience just went away. So if Summer House does this whole thing where, like, oh, well, they can't film together, so we're just going to completely recast. It's like everybody's just going to leave the show. So don't fuck around with it that much. Don't make some changes. If you got to, you know, if you got to get rid of Levi, so be it.
C
Okay, so there. There had to be casualties. Levi's gone. We know that. We knew that.
B
Just going back to Levi for a second when we'll wrap this up. She fucking played it wrong because look at Weston Amanda. So she must have known. She should. Levi should have released a statement first because then she could have been in the mix. Now she. Now she's just. No chance for her being in the mix unless she comes out with some maybe other interesting receipts. But that could have saved her ass, and she's fucked now.
C
Could have saved her ass.
B
Superstar. All right, Hannah, anything else you want to say before we go? This was a long episode, but you know what? It was important.
C
I think people will appreciate it. Follow me at Hannah Aaron Brown. Aaron spelled like a boy across platforms. Thank you all.

C
Oh, and I have a podcast called Not Aspirational. Check it out if you feel so inclined.
B
We didn't get to talk about Love Story.
C
Did you like the finale, give Constance Zimmer the Emmy?
B
Yeah. She was so good. So was the Meryl's daughter.
C
Of course, Meryl's daughter fucking left no crumbs. But I will say the rewriting of what that plane ride actually looked like was probably for the best because it would have been really hard to stomach, like, what it was actually like. But they were not getting along when that plane went down. As a longtime CBK fan, unfortunately, watching
B
it all the way through made me think, like, these two probably shouldn't have been together.
C
No, it was toxic.
B
I did like how the finale focused more on, like, Constance and Meryl's daughter.
C
I agree.
B
Like, I thought that was a smart move because we all knew it was coming. And then I was like, oh, that was more interesting to me.
C
But God, I mean, like, like just the. The loss they both suffered. Horrible.
B
A lot of people have been saying we need a show of, like, the Calvin Klein offices in the 90s. And I would love that. I would love that it could be fictional. Like, we don't have to be.
C
But I'm gonna say right here, right now, I don't want Ryan Murphy to do it.
B
Right.
C
Like, enough. I don't want Ryan Murphy. Slop. I thought Love Story was amazing. I think most of what he does is slop.
B
Well, the problem is a lot of his stuff, it, like, starts really good and then.
C
And then it.
B
But, but. But the Love Story finale I thought was really good.
C
It was, I would say, one of the best episodes of the season because the one before that was like a slow burn and it was really boring and depressing. I didn't like it.
B
I just want, like, the needle. I like the 90s needle drops.
C
Yes.
B
People looking hot like that and then, like, some drama.
C
And we need the 90s Calvin Klein Show.
B
Yeah. Love you, Hannah. Okay, we'll come back again and we'll do a great Mike's episode where we just talk about nonsense. This was all about Summer House. Love you all so much.
C
Bye.
B
Oh, and I should also mention I'm going to be releasing another episode later this week with Bravo stuff, hopefully. So that's the plan. So I know we covered Summer House, but there's a lot of other stuff going on. Rhode Island Housewives is coming this week. Atlanta's starting on Sunday. I don't know exactly. The Valley's starting this week, so we got a lot of other shows going on. So I'm gonna try to pick up the microphone and cover some of them later this week. But for now, I bid you adieu. Thank you for listening to everything iconic. Bye. Bye. Love you all. ACAST powers the world's best podcasts. Here's a show that. That we recommend.

Host: Danny Pellegrino
Guest: Hannah Aaron Brown
This "emergency summit" episode dives into the swirling rumors and real-time developments rocking Summer House fandom, specifically the rapidly escalating speculation and then confirmation of the relationship between Amanda and West. Instead of a standard episode recap, Danny and Hannah conduct an unfiltered deep-dive into the rumor mill, dissect the implications for cast friendships, and share their candid Bravo commentary as news breaks during the recording. The conversation also touches on Bravo production, the ethics and psychology of reality TV friendships, and moments of personal nostalgia.
"I don't think he's that good of an actor. So... I really thought like, that's not a true thing." —Danny ([06:59])
"People are trying to rewrite history right now and be like, her and Sierra aren't that close. And I'm like, yes, they are." —Hannah ([11:10])
"Levi, tell us. Tell everyone what you know. Everything you know. Who gives a fuck if the network is saying, don't. We need you buttoned up. Be as messy as possible right now..." —Danny ([15:07])
"VPR just like blows it out of the water." —Danny ([25:25])
Timestamps: [72:22]–[76:00]
As they’re recording, Danny and Hannah receive news that Amanda and West have posted a joint Instagram statement confirming their relationship:
“We’ve seen the growing online speculation... what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care...” —Amanda & West’s statement ([73:32])
Real-time reactions ensue:
"I have the chills. So it's real. Who posted that? Amanda." —Danny ([73:14])
"Honestly, I'm so glad that we like—we'll never forget where we were when we saw that." —Hannah ([73:43])
"What we should do is, like, celebrate Sierra... let's hate on them in the airwaves, but maybe let's not, like, be trolls in the comments." —Hannah ([80:12], [80:26])
On the friend group:
"I still think it's an inappropriate friendship between Amanda and West... You're hot and famous and newly single. You could literally be hanging out with anyone. You don't need to be doing this." —Hannah ([08:05])
On cast silence and cryptic posts:
"They're all probably not giving us any information because they're concerned about their jobs. Levi, you don't have a job no more. So step your ass up and try to get a job…" —Danny ([16:57])
On the power play of drama:
"As a viewer and fan of Bravo, this is what unites us all...this is the shit we live for." —Hannah ([34:51])
Live reaction to Amanda & West’s statement:
"We've shown up for each other as friends over the years through all the highs and lows. And what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected…” —Amanda & West’s statement ([73:32])
"I'm so glad that we...we'll never forget where we were when we saw that." —Hannah ([73:43])
On online hate:
"Do not dox them. Don't threaten them. Like, chill out. I think, if anything, what we should do is, like, celebrate Sierra. And, yeah, we can still sort of hate the other ones, but...I want—I just, because I imagine it would be such a mind-fuck." —Danny ([80:08], paraphrased for clarity)
The episode relishes in Bravo meta-commentary, pop culture in-jokes, and classic “sister circle” camaraderie. Tone is lively, gossipy, with a fair amount of self-deprecation and heart. Both hosts call out bad behavior in the cast while also expressing hope for fan empathy and boundaries. Real-time newsbreaking adds a sense of urgency and excitement.
