This episode is brought to you by Hint Water. I need to tell you about something that has completely taken over my life. Started innocently, one sip and then suddenly I was thinking about it. Constantly craving it, longing for it, Asking myself, what is this feeling, this completely unhinged desire to drink water. Specifically Hint water. I tried the peach raspberry flavor. And honestly, it rewired something in me. The second it touched my lips, I ascended. It was subtle, juicy, refreshing, like my body finally understood what hydration was supposed to feel like. Just crisp water with this delicate little whisper of fruit that makes your brain go, wait, more of that immediately. And the dangerous part, it has no sugar, no sweeteners and no calories. It's literally just water infused with fruit essence. That's it. Somehow it tastes like a treat while technically being responsible behavior. So, yeah, I've been seduced by water. Hint. Has no sugar, no sweeteners and no calories. Just water with fruit essences. Water that makes you crave water. Try Hint. Now available online@drinkhint.com and in stores nationwide. Mmm. Water. Does Danny know when he gets drunk that he acts a fool? It's a behavior that has maybe been repeated. Why is this a thing when every single person in this friend group has done that? Why is it a thing about my husband? It's a thing about your husband because he's making the whole group uncomfortable. And by group, I mean the audience as well. Because we're all watching the TV screen and we're uncomfortable by him, not by the rest of the group. When Britt Bananas or Zach or Janet or Kristen or anybody else is getting too drunk on the show, we're all not uncomfortable. So that's why it's become a thing. Nia. I don't know what you don't get about that. Anyway. Hello, everyone. Welcome to everything Iconic with me, Danny Pellegrino. I hope you're all having a wonderful week. We've had a lot going on this week. Not only we got this new episode of the Valley, the mid season trailer played at the end of the episode of the Valley. We also had the summer house reunion which I recapped earlier this week. You can check that out. In the city is going strong. Southern hospitality is ending this week. So is my show hacks on hbo. I'm devastated about that. But a lot is happening in the world and by world, I mean the television screen. And so we got a lot to catch up on. I for one. I'm gonna say something that might be a little controversial. I said last week's episode of the Valley was a good episode. And I'm gonna go one step farther and say that actually this season is starting to get good. That's right. That's right. It's good. I think it's starting to get good. That mid season trailer looked great. We're getting somewhere with the chaos. It seems like they're starting to gel without Jax. And so I'm finding the second half of this season of the Valley might be some must watch. And I love the Valley. I think, like, I had to start kind of adjusting what I'm watching in that we're not watching an aspirational show. We are watching a show about people who are newly married, new with kids, and by and large kind of hate their lives. And the fun part about watching is that they hate their lives. We've talked about the opening theme song where it's like, I'm all right, and it's like none of them are all right. But then even. Even within the episodes, there'll be like some miserable thing about how the husband's an alcoholic, right? Like there's something like really dark and deep or whatever. And then the transitional music would be like, it feels good, Feels great. And it's like actually there, it doesn't feel great for anybody because they're all miserable. One of them's got to take out the bubbies that the ex husband paid for because. Because she doesn't want him to have ownership anymore. I mean, there's like some pretty heavy, dark stuff going on in the Valley. And yet they just. That transitional music is like, feels good. Like, I feel like I'm. You know when you're flipping through the channels and there's like a NASCAR event on. Not that I would ever like voluntarily watch a NASCAR race. No offense to them, but if I'm gonna watch cars racing around a circle, it's gonna be in the movie Cars by Pixar, because that's where I'm getting my car content. But otherwise I'm not turning on nascar. But sometimes you're flipping through the channels and I feel like that's always like the theme song of nascar. It's like, I'm feeling good. I feel good. And it's like Carrie Underwood singing, oh, I'm in a giggly mood. I'm in a giggly mood today. But I played that clip of Nia trying to. I do think she's always trying to cover up for the husband. And that's an exhausting existence because to have to go throughout your life always having a cover up for that man. And he's so short that most of us can't even see him eye level. So it shouldn't take much to cover up that short little man. I mean, maybe if he was putting some heels on, But she's got to cover up that man, all his behavior, because he's constantly just embarrassing himself, embarrassing the family. And on tv, no less. And I think maybe the reality TV is not for them. Maybe. Anyway, this week's episode of the Valley, it opens on Salty Girl. Oh, wait, I did tell you guys. I did tell you I was going to read one of the messages I got because I've been getting all of these messages and. Still happening, you guys. It's still happening. I'm getting messages on social media of people who think that I'm Danny from the Valley. And again, I live in the Valley and I'm named Danny, but I am not this man Danny on the Valley. However, I've been getting messages. And even on last week's episode of the Recap that I did, I had told everyone, like, stop. You know, be careful, just. But obviously it's people who don't listen to my show, so they don't know that I'm not Danny from the Valley. But I did get this really intense message. And I'm just gonna read one of these messages because I have to let you know what. What I'm dealing with. This was a DM that I got, and I'm not gonna say the name of who sent it to me, but I suppose I could say the name, but I'm not going to. I'm not gonna throw this person on the bus because I think they mean well. And so this is what I'm getting. So this person writes, and I quote, again, I'm not saying the name protecting the innocent, but I guess they're not really innocent, so I might protect. I don't know. I'm reading it. I'm reading it. Okay. I am shocked watching this show they write, you are absolutely an alcoholic and you treat your wife like shit. You should be thanking your lucky stars how patient she is because you're a drunk and rude af. I can't agree with Lala anymore. I feel off er. I feel awful for what Nia is going through. If you don't get help, you're going to lose your family. By the way, this is the first time I've ever been compelled to message somebody from any of the shows I watch. But I'm in shock. You probably won't get this, but I feel a whole hell of a lot better just saying it. F. And then. And then there's like a new message bubble and it says, fml. This isn't right, Danny. I'm trying to message. I am so embarrassed. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. And I apologize from the bottom of my heart. So that was. That was the message all about Danny being an alcoholic. And that's the kind of thing I'm getting that's on all the platforms. And just if I open up the message sometimes I can almost tell because you know how it shows you a preview and I can almost tell in the preview to be like, I hate you, you know, and then if I open it, it'll be like about how I'm treating my wife poorly. And it's like, by the way, I don't have a wife. So you're barking up the wrong tree, baby girl. But anyway, those are the kinds of things I'm getting. And so hopefully it stops at one point. But I could only imagine what he's getting in those DMs. Him and Nia must be woo. Okay, so we opened this weeks of the Valley at the Salty Girl restaurant. Kristen and Luke are on a date. And I gotta say, I don't know if I don't love to comment on anyone's bodies, but I do want to say that Kristin, I know she's self conscious. She's been out loud and proud about that throughout this season, about being self conscious about her body. And in this scene, her going to the Salty Dog, I just thought she looked so incredible, like she was glowing and she had just had the baby three months ago, but I just thought she looked so hot. So hot. And so I had to point that out. But Luke's got the mini mullet in the back. What's going on with the flip in the back is that. I don't know something about that. I hate to use the word trigger, but it does trigger me because I feel like, what is that? What is that? What is that? It reminds me of some sort of cartoon bird. I don't know what cartoon bird, but I feel like I've seen cartoon birds like that where there's just kind of a flip in the back. It's like, is it a full. That's not a mullet, is it? Is this like a half mullet? I don't know. What do I know? But Luke says that motherly and fatherly instincts are different. And so he's in the best mood though, in this scene because he just got fucked and he went fishing, which is his double whammy for Luke. That's all he's been saying this whole season he wanted. And so he finally went fishing. I don't know how long he went fishing for, but he went fishing, then came home and got fucked. And so that's what he's been wanting and he got it. And so he's happy as a clam in this scene. He's like, I love You, Kristen. And it was like for the first time, for the first time, he's like, I feel good. Feels good to be me. For the first time, that transitional music was actually was right because Luke was. It feels good to be me, you know. And then. And then he got the oysters too. And he said to Kristen, I just want you to explain when you're anxious. So when you're anxious, like, just tell me. And then he. They're both sticking up for Nia and Danny. Luke says that everyone in the group could have a drinking problem. And Kristen's like, it's hard to believe Danny would speak to Nia that way. But I think she. I think they both know the truth. And I do believe, I think it was Lala who last week said they have an alliance with Danny and Nia and I think that's what's happening here. And they're trying to defend them all they can. But there is going to come a point, maybe it's happening already where they just can't do it anymore. And Kristen's too, too good at reality TV to just let it slide. So I feel like it's not going to slide for too long. But they are trying to defend their honor. And unfortunately the audience can see Danny and Nia are not. Are not it. But then we cut to Runyon Canyon. Michelle and Lala are going hiking. I used to do this hike every day and Lala said she's got a fear of going down that hill. And it's a pretty steep. There's like one side that's really steep and one side that's not. But I do want to let everyone know if you go to Running Canyon, there's not a whole lot of bathroom situations there. And one time I was going with my friend Jill and I'm sorry to call her out on this, but I've never laughed harder than her and I were hiking and at the top of the hill, she had a, I'm sorry to say, go poop. She had to do the poop. Like I would say to my son, she'd do the poop. And so she got to the top of the hill and there was. There was nowhere to do the poop. And so we had to like rush down and then we're like slip side and down and I'm cracking up. You know, I had the church giggles where it was like, I just can't stop laughing. And it was like the best kind of laugh. There's nothing better than a church giggle laugh when you know you're not supposed to be laughing. And then you can't help but laugh. But she was just rushing down that hill and we're falling, and it was like. There was no Porta Potty anywhere. Oh, God bless. It was the best day of my life. So funny. And eventually, I think she made it to the. She didn't poop her pants. People are gonna be mad that I said poop. Okay, so then we. Those two are hiking. Lala and Michelle are talking about Michelle trying to get divorce. And apparently Jesse had a $300,000 loan and Michelle's pay half because they're married. Jesse doesn't even have, like. So for the initial payment, Michelle says they have to pay 30k. And Jesse doesn't even have the 15k for his half. Even though Michelle shouldn't have anything to do with this. She was willing to pay the 15k. She's like, take the 15k and get the fuck out of my life. I want to get divorced. And then Michelle reveals that he can't even pay the $200, which is his half of the daughter's health insurance. And I'm like, girl, girl, what do you mean he can't pay $400 or $200 for the health insurance? What does he do with the money? Even Lala's like, what do you. Why does he always have designer CL everything? Like, Jesse, you need to get another job. You need to head on up to the Trader Joe's or something and make an application. What are they paying you over at Bravo? You can't pay the $200 for your daughter's health insurance. What the fuck is going on? Go sell a house. How come you can't? Isn't he a realtor or something? Better apply to Netflix on selling Sunset. Do they get better pay than the Bravo? Because you need to put some cash in that wallet, sir. Because if you can't pay the $200, not a mention that loan that you got from the bank, you can't even pay the 15k and $200 for health insurance. Like, you're fucked. And then they say that maybe Laci's paying. And Lacy, you need to also figure this out, because you can't be paying Jesse's whole life. He needs to get his act together and go to get a job somewhere. I don't know what kind of job. If you got a. However, you got to pay your bills, whether that be getting another realtor job or another TV job, sex work. I don't care what it is, Jessie B. You got to pay for Your daughter's health insurance. Okay? Michelle can't be doing it all, and she's even willing to cover for a loan that she'd even have anything to do with. So figure it out. Then we cut to Kristen and Zach at Kristen's. Kristen says Danny's just extra, and people don't like him sober, so they're definitely not going to like him drunk. And this is another instance where I think they're kind of covering for Danny. You know, Zach does evoke the person who's been mentioned almost every episode of this show this season, and that is Shina Shea. That's right. He said he tried Shinicha's breast milk. And I sort of remember that. Can't quite remember it, but I sort of remember it. And then this is Nia shows up, Zach. And he said that because Nia, the daughter had, like, breathed in Zach's face, and he's like, oh, I tasted Nia's breast milk vis a vis the aroma. And then he's like, I'd only tried Sheena's breast milk. And so Sheena keeps coming up on these shows. But Zach and Kristin bring up Danny, and Nia doesn't like this at all. Zach says Danny doesn't realize his toxic male foolishness comes out when he's drinking. And Nia's like, I know that. But we talk, and then Nia gets really mad and she freaks out as she's putting this baby carrier on. And she desperately needs a break. Like, I need her to go off the show to a spa. We need longer parental leave from work. So she should not be filming this program, nor should Kristen, because they've only had three months. And I understand that a lot of jobs don't even have three months, unfortunately in the U.S. but we need to do something about parental leave, because you can't just birth out a fucking baby and then expect people to go back to work because they're on the brim. And there's no reason that Nia should have me film about her dumbass husband and have to answer to her dumbass husband. At least give her to month five to deal with her dumbass husband on screen. But now she's gotta put that hoist that baby up on her hip, and, boy, she's gotta put the baby carrier on. And those baby carriers are not easy. It's like solving a Rubik's Cube. I believe you me, I've tried all the different carriers. There's some that are just. It's like the hardest math equation you could ever do in your life. It's confusing as fuck. And unless you have a degree in biophysics or whatever, you're not gonna be able to get that carrier on. And so I'm seeing she's like, shaking like a leaf because the baby's trying to get hoisted up on her carrier. And Nia's shaken and she's mad. She's like, I don't. I don't want to do that. She's bouncing the baby. She's like, f that. F that. She says, f that. And you know, she just wants to say like, fuck that. Like, she can't because, you know, she's thinking, I don't want to swear in front of the baby. And on camera, she's a pageant queen, so she knows how to. She knows how to scale it back when she's supposed to scale it back. And she just wants to say motherfucker, but she can't say that. And so she's on the brim, she's losing it and she's shaking. And never have I felt that way before or more so than in this scene when she was hoisting that baby up on the carrier. And Kristen and Zack, who are her friends and are defending her honor, every chance they get, they're trying to tell her, like, actually, everyone's catching on to your husband and being a big old mess and everybody hates them. And she's like, I can't deal with this. You know, she's F that, F that, F that in the shaky voice. Then we cut to their house in Santa Clarita, that hellhole, that nightmare home that we have to keep seeing. Every time they go there, I get uncomfortable. I even think about the crew having to drive out to Santa Clarita. And, you know, they don't want to do that. I'm sure whoever the camera people are that day and they see on the schedule like, ah, we gotta go to Santa Clarita because the vibes are so nasty there at that Santa Clarita house. And the whole town of Santa Clarita. I feel bad. I'm talking about Santa Clarita. It's not. It's actually not all of Santa Clarita. It's just like where this neighborhood is. It makes me very uncomfortable because when I saw. I think of the overhead shot of their neighborhood and just makes me. I don't feel safe there. But they. They go there and I'm sure production crew is like, ah, fuck, we have to go to Santa Clarita to Danny Nia's house again. Because they're filmed there all the time, and all the other people live pretty much, like, within 20 minutes of each other. And then it's like, oh, let's go. I don't think Santa Clarita is that far, but I just know they hate it. People who don't understand the layout of la, like, don't. Might not understand this, but it's like, sometimes if somebody says, like, hey, meet me in Encino, you're like, oh, fuck. And I know there's, like, a Chili's out in Encino, so it's like, that's the one silver lining. But Encino's, like, not that far away from, like, West Hollywood, but it can be an hour in traffic. And so even though it's two miles, you're like, oh, fuck, I gotta go. An hour in traffic to wherever. And so it's the. If you were to just look at a map, you'd say, oh, well, Santa Clarita is only a couple miles away. Or you say that about any map. Even when family visits and stuff, they're like, oh, let's go here. It's only. It says it's only 2.7 miles away. And you're like, well, actually, that could be three hours in traffic in la. Like, we will be in standstill stuck traffic. And then the idea of having to be possibly in an hour and a half of traffic to go to Danny and Nia's in Santa Clarita, absolutely not. I couldn't handle that. But at their house, Nia brings up the conversation. She's like, everybody's talking about it. And Danny's like, I don't understand. I own up to my behavior and I apologize. But it's like, you keep doing it, so now it's a pattern. So you owned up to and apologized last season, the season before that, the season before that. And so now, if it keeps happening, of course people are gonna keep bringing it up. And what the fuck don't you understand about that? And then he says in his confessional, this was really diabolical to me. He said, it happened last year. People brought it up last year, and it failed. You're gonna do it again, and it's gonna fail again. And I'm like, actually, it's not gonna fail again because Jax isn't on this show to distract us with his demon behavior. And so we're watching your dumb ass be a dumb ass, you know? Anyway, I feel bad for Nia. I feel bad for her. The fact that she has to deal with this with a Four under four and the husband under five' five. It's just a lot for one, one human to handle. And so I feel bad for her and I wish she would get out. I don't even mean get out of the marriage. I just mean just go somewhere, just get gone. Just baby girl, get somewhere. Go gone baby girl, just be gone. Just go somewhere else. Just for you know how on Amanda and Kyle, on Summer House, Heather, she's signing a lease for a month to get out of the house for a month. That's what I want for Nia actually is to just like, for her to get on a vacation for a month. Like just go backpack through Europe or something with none of the kids. Like don't bring, don't bring any of the children or the husband. Just, just you go alone. I want her on like an eat pray love trip. And then when she comes back, she decides to be back with that man. So be it. But at least she'll have a little time away. Rest, relaxation, rejuvenation, you know, do it. Just, you gotta do it. But then they say Zach and Brittany drink so much, but Danny's got a target on his back. And I'm like, yeah, because Zach and Brittany are not making everybody feel uncomfortable, including the audience. So that's what the difference is. Daniel, you dumb shit, he says he's got a wellness coach and a therapist and I'd like to see their resumes. I would just, I, I know there's confidentiality situations, but if somebody could send me their resumes or their background. Because for Danny to say he's got a wellness coach and a therapist. And then also Nia said they got a couple's therapist. It's like, how many times a week are they going to these people? And you know, I love my therapy. I think therapy is really important for everybody to do. But it seems like I don't know if I trust Daniel's wellness coach and therapist and couples therapist. I don't know if I trust him. Meanwhile, we see Jason and Janet at the doctor. He wants surgery. He's mentally struggling because he had the accident last week where he hurt the knee and it looks rough. And he's told that it's a nine to 12 month recovery. He's worried about Janet. And let me tell you something, I think Jason's a good man. I do. And Jason says the son doesn't understand why he's not chasing him around. And he's nervous about the bond he has with Cameron because he's not going to be able to run and jump with them for nine to 12 months. And that made me cry because he was crying, and it felt so real. It was like, I just want to be there with my son and play with my son. I don't know if I was just, like, relating that. I was thinking, what if I couldn't run and jump with my son? I would be sad. And Jason seems like a good man. He seems like a really good man. And so him and Janet finally having a good season, you guys, finally, They're all right. Everybody hated them forever, and now finally, they're going to be all right. Then we cut to Britney's, and she's putting on a crab oil. And this actually triggered me because, of course, longtime listener of the podcast will remember the time. You remember the time when Bethany got on her TikTok. Bethenny Frankel of Skinny Girl Ham fame, she got on her TikTok and she did a crab boil live. And it was. It's truly one of the most haunting things I've ever seen on the Internet. And so then when Brittany said, I'm gonna do a crab boil, I thought, wow, wow. That's. Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, Bethany. Wow, wow, wow, wow. Bethany. Wow. That's what I thought, because you're doing a crab boil. We're evoking Bethany. And I was worried she was going to pop up on my screen and just start yelling at me about potato salad or something. Like, when I opened my TikTok app, she's just screaming, screaming at us about egg salad or something. And so I was worried that I was going to see her pop up, because crab boil, that's all I think about when I hear crab boil is just Bethany on her TikTok eating the crab boil in a hotel room. If you haven't seen that video, you must go watch it. You must. And Brittany's celebrating because she's having the tummy tuck, the breast implants out, 360 lipo. And she says in her confession, she's like, y' all won't be able to keep clothes on me. And then Zach comes over with a titty cake and says, like, rest in peace, boobies. And that made me laugh. And we're gonna talk about this crap book because I have so many thoughts. And also Brit bananas. I'm proud of her for doing what she wants to do and. And getting rid of the dead weight of Jax. And I'm just proud of how she's rising like a phoenix out of the ashes. But we're gonna take a break I want to come back and talk about all this because we have some laughs ahead of us because some of this stuff was so insane. Like Brittany after the surgery was making me laugh so hard. Anyway, so thank you to Acast and we'll be right back.

And we're back, girl. All right, so Nia came over to the crab boil with the three month old and the babysitter. And no one wants this. The audience doesn't want this. Nia doesn't want this. She didn't want to leave the house with the baby and a babysitter to go to Britney's crab boil to rest in peace her bubbies. Like, there is no. This is so insane. The idea that she had to hire the sitter to come with her to Britney's house to eat a crab boil to celebrate Britney getting her tits out. Like, that is the most absurd sentence I've ever said on this podcast. And I've had to recap I don't know, craziest things on this show. And Nia's like, I don't want it. She says something like when she arrived. Or I think she whispered to Kristen, like, I don't want to bring anything up to Lala about anything because this is Britney's night. And I was like, what do you mean? Like we're acting like Britney having a crab boil to do her mommy makeover is some sacred event. Like, it's not like her kids christening. Like, I understand that we're talking about the Real House of New Jersey Season 3 opener when they have the christening and they get in a big fight. Teresa and Joe and Joe and Melissa and all them get in this big fight at the christening. Like, that's a situation where I can understand one of the cast members being like, this is a child's christening. Maybe we shouldn't bring up anything that's gonna cause an argument. But the idea of, like, we can't bring up something that's gonna cause an argument at Britney's crab oil to celebrate her losing her tiggle bitties, that's not something. It's not something that is too sacred. By the way, you know, I love the phrase tickle bitties. Like, whoever start. Whoever came up with that first is so funny to me. Like, the fact that they took out the letters and switched them. I don't know why. I've always. Ever since I was a little kid and I heard somebody say tickle bitties. It was like. It always makes me laugh. Ah, it's so good. But when Nia arrives, Brittany's like, do you like crab? And Nia's like, no. And. And then Brittany responds with, okay, well, there's sausage and corn and chicken wings too. And I thought, like, what is this menu like you for people who don't like the crab boil? And look, I'm not a crab boil person, so maybe I'm not the right person to ask this, but I didn't realize there was sausage and corn with the crab oil, like, when. Because when I was growing up, we used to go to Myrtle Beach. That was like our family vacation spot. Go to Broadway at the beach. It was the best time. Barefoot landing. I love those shopping centers in Myrtle Beach. Unfortunately, I don't like the caricature artists that litter those streets. But that's still for another time. The point is, we would go there, and we would always go to an all you can eat crab place. And I don't eat seafood, and my middle brother didn't eat seafood either at the time. So the two of us would have to do. We would have fun going to those places because we would crack the crab legs for everyone else. But I don't remember there being sausage. I remember there being corn with, like, a crab boil or any sort of boil. I do know you have the corn on the cob, but I don't recall the sausage. And I certainly don't remember there being just chicken wings. Why did she say chicken wings? Was that her hooters background? That she had the chicken Wings? I don't know. But Nia says the night's about Brittany, so she's not bringing anything up. But again, it's a crab boil to celebrate Brittany removing her fake tits. So Brittany's literally chewing on crab shells with her bare teeth. It's not a sacred night. She stuck one of those crabs, and I always assumed, or knew, or assumed you're supposed to use those crab crackers, but Brittany was just, like, shoving that thing in her mouth and using her tooth, and that's gonna crack your tooth. Baby girl, girl, girl, you gotta be careful. You can't just throw those things in your mouth willy nilly. I have tmj, though, so I gotta be careful what I put in my mouth. Something I had to also learn in college. Ladies, am I right? Moving on. Zach offers to give Jason, speaking of a blowjob, a blow ape. Because Jason, it's revealed that Janet can't fuck him because of the knee issue. And so they all say, like, well, you're gonna have to get blowjobs. And Janet's like, absolutely not. Like, I'm not. I'm not interested in that. And then Zach's like, well, I'll do it, but I'm blocked. Made me laugh a lot. They also say that Jason's paramedic was real hot. And they showed. They even blurred his face. And I could. You know how you could even tell through a blurred face? Like, they showed a flashback and blurred face, and I was like, oh, yeah, he's hot. Like, I could just barely see a little skin of his arm. And I was like, oh, yeah. I could tell, like, you know, that's like, got to be a sixth sense or something, right? I could tell even through the blur. And bravo. The editors knew that we could tell through the blur, too. But I wonder what he looked like without the blur. I wish they could have gotten him to sign a release. Here's the thing that I wonder. Why was his face blurred if it was outdoors? Isn't anything outdoors legally allowed? I don't know. Nia says she set up a meal chain, though, for Britney. And so they're all going to be, like, bringing her meals or something. And Brittany's like, I'm freaking the hell out the hill. I'm freaking the hell out. I feel like I'm gonna cry. She gives a speech to the group as they're all chewing on crab legs to celebrate her removing her boobies. And Brittany says, jack's never made her feel beautiful, and she can. She feels like he can lay claim to her because of the boobies that he paid for and they don't serve her anymore. And I'm just so happy for her. I really am. I know I joke about it, but I'm really happy. And she said, I'm just gonna feel so good. And Lala says, I'm very excited for you to feel the way we see you. Did that make me cry? Kinda. Kinda did. Kinda did. And I'm happy for Brittany. She said, I'm just gonna feel so good, I'm gonna walk around naked all the time. I laughed out. Then Jasmine, meanwhile, opened up some real expensive bottle of Opus wine, which I don't know. I don't know no one. Everybody's like, you open the Opus wine. Opus wine. I'm like, I never heard of the Opus wine. Then they cut the boob cake. Brittany's like, okay, let's cut the boob cake. Let's cut that boob cake. Let's cut that boob cake. Then Zack and Lala and Kristen go meet outside. Jasmine and Nia enter awkwardly. And Jasmine's a little tipsy. They're all a little tipsy. And he's like, so I heard you guys were talking about me a bit. And Lala's like, yeah. And Lala says she's not sure if they're keeping secrets, her and Dany, or if Nia is just trying to survive the relationship. And Lala said she doesn't want this for Nia. And Nia's just like smiling through her teeth at Lala, which is very my high school Spanish teacher coded because Sonora used to just smile. She would be say the meanest things. I had this one Spanish teacher in high school. She would say the meanest things. She'd be like, you're. You're dumb. She would say that to a kid's face like, you're dumb. And then she would do it with a smile. It was the most evil. I still think about it all the time. It was so evil, like you're dumb. And then she was just big ass smile. And that's kind of what Nia was doing. She was just like smiling through her teeth. But you could tell she was like wanted to say the meanest thing to Lala. And Nia says they have separate therapists. They also have a couple's therapists. She said, we're good, we're good, we're good. And then Jasmine keeps trying to chime in and they're like, shh, shh. Kristen's like, you're drunk. But meanwhile, Kristen's Drunk too. And Nia's like, see, Jasmine's drunk. Is it okay if I talk about her? And this was Nia thinking she was, like, sticking it to Jasmine in the group or something. She said in her confessional, like, oh, Jasmine's drunk. Is it okay if I talk about her being drunk? And it's like, yeah, actually, A, you can, because you're on a reality show, so you're supposed to talk about whatever happens on camera, you dummy. And then B, Jasmine's not making everybody super uncomfortable by acting the way your husband acts. So it's different. Like what? It's obviously different. Like, there's different kind of drunk. Like, people can get drunk and be fun and silly and in control or whatever, and then other people get drunk and it could be nasty and dark and rude and whatever. There's so many. And. And that's a whole. There's a whole spectrum of that. Like, you can fall in the middle somewhere sometimes you could lean one way or another. She's thinking she thought she had a moment in the confessional. She's like, well, Jasmine's drunk. Is it okay if I talk about her? Yeah, yeah, of course it is. You're mic'd up. And on a reality show, you're supposed to talk about each other, you dummy. Like, everybody. Everybody should be talking about each other's behavior. But by the way, her behavior is not that bad. She's just tipsy. She's not making everybody, including the audience, feel super uncomfortable. And Jasmine's pissed. And I'm on Team Jasmine, too, because guess what? She's trying to chime in because what she's saying is, like, Lala brought up the situation with me and Danny, and everybody's kind of having her back, right? But when Jasmine brought it up last year and was like, Danny was, like, touching us uncomfortably, everybody's like, shh. Jasmine, stop talking about that. The only piece of people that stuck up for her was Jason and Janet. And so Jasmine, admittedly, in watching this, is like, what the fuck is going on? Like, why is everyone have Lala's back, but Lala and Nia just smile on each other's faces and I think they agreed to move on. But it was very much giving Jenny McCarthy and Tara a read. In addition to my Spanish teacher. It was very much giving Jenny McCarthy and Tara read. If you don't know that feud, you need to look it up immediately. Then we cut to 5:40am Brittany's using. She's in the doctor's office and we see her using the tit implant as a stress ball. And she says in her professional, getting dressed has been hard for her. So a lot of times she stays home and so she does the surgery. And I was worried they were cutting it close to, like, showing the surgery. And I don't like when they do that. Remember back in the day, I think, like, old school reality tv, they used to show a lot more surgeries, even on Bravo and Housewives. Sometimes you would tune in in the early seasons and it's like somebody would get a nose job and you'd have to, like, watch the. The bloodiness and stuff. And I don't like. I don't like that. So I was glad they cut away because there was a moment where it was like, we're seeing her get injected by the anesthesia, and then they're like, countdown. And then we're like, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. We're hearing the, like, medical devices. And I thought, are they gonna show us? Were they gonna show them giving Brittany the mommy makeover? Because I don't wanna see that. I don't wanna see that. But luckily they didn't. They cut away. And then Kristen and Jasmine go to lunch. Jasmine got mozzarella sticks and fries that made me hungry. And she's wedding planning. Jasmine brings up the Dani thing and she cries because she said Kristen had Nia's back and not hers in the group last season. And they're good friends. And Kristen admits, she says her anger with Janet was more important, so she apologizes. Then Janet or Jasmine says in her confessional, she says she's a black gay woman. She has to fight three times harder for friends to see her. And. And by the way, I think she's also saying three times harder for the network to see her because we all know how they're. The network sort of treating Zach and Jasmine. They're kind of like the outliers. Even in the. In the opening credits, it's like they're paired up together throwing an air balloon or a water balloon. Their significant others are in the opening credits, and the other couples are all got their significant others in the opening credits. And I don't know. I feel like Jasmine. She's right. And it was nice to see her. She cries, I cried. They all. Her and Kristen made up. Then we see Brit Bananas waking up from her anesthesia. And this is when it feels good to be me. That's when it. That's when that transitional song played. It was like, I don't think it feels good. To be Britney, I mean, other than the drugs that they pumped her with. Because we even saw the doctor walk into that room and just start loading up that IV with some morphine or whatever the fuck that was. But I do feel like it doesn't feel good to be her because it actually seems pretty miserable. The husband had to go away because he was such a mess, and then now she's raising the son on her own, and she's got all this. She kind of live. In some ways, it seems a little bit like hell. And then she had to do the mommy makeover, which is no fun to have surgery. Maybe after you recover, it's okay. But at that point, I was like, does it feel good to be Britney in this moment? I guess from the morphine. But Zach and Kristen come, and Brittany's high is a kite, and they're just taking photos, and she's like, just had the stomach surgery and she's still yuk yukin under the drugs. And I wanted 10 more hours of this, like, seeing them drive Brittany home. I do love a few things that make me really happy. Number one is, like, I love an Internet video, like, America Savannah's home videos of somebody falling. Like, I always love a fall. I love a news blooper, and I love someone coming out of anesthesia. If I could see on social media just exclusively those videos, and maybe it's like some fun animals. Like, some animals doing something, like, cute. Those are the kind of videos I want to see constantly. And so. Or I love kids. I love kids saying, like, the darndest things or, like, what else do I love? I love those videos of people who live in their vans. Like, I love when they outfit their vans. I can watch those for hours. Just people who can afford to live in apartments, but, like, decide to just spend, like, an absurd amount of money converting their vans into homes. And they use it for online content. So they don't. They're, like, glamorizing living in their cars for social media clout. And I could watch those forever. But watching Brittany come out of the anesthesia, I'm like, just make this a spin off. Can we put her under and just, like, spin it off? You know how E used to do that with the Kardashians? It was like, Kourtney and Khloe take the Maldives or whatever. It's like, can't we have Britney under anesthesia as a spinoff? That's what they need to do because I kind of watched them driving her home. She's a mess. I feel like I'm 100 years old, she said. And then having to get her up those stairs, hoist her up those steps was. That could have been a challenge, too. And if we don't want to go the route of docu series, we could do some sort of game show. Maybe that could be a competition on the Traitors or something where it's like they have to hoist Brittany up the stairs. Like, each group has to get Brittany under anesthesia up a flight of stairs at the Scotland Castle. Like, that would be a good challenge. If Brittany doesn't have time to do the full Traders experience, like, as a cast member, maybe they just fly her in for a day, put her under anesthesia, and Alan Cummings come out and say, hey, group, you all have to lift Brittany up those stairs under anesthesia. And whoever does it the quickest wins the prize pot, which on the Traders will probably be $10, because they don't give those people anything, ladies, am I right? Just saying. They need to up that prize money because that Peacock network, they're keeping the lights on with that show Traders, and they even have a civilian version coming that's coming to NBC because it's so successful that they're putting on network TV now. But it really is the cornerstone of the Peacock Network. And the prize money, it's like a hundred dollars for the winners. And that's fucked up. Anyway. They need to loosen the purse strings and get Britney over there in Scotland or where the fuck they film it and have her as the challenge because I like seeing her on the anesthesia, I'm sorry to say. And she's got. They get her to bed, she's got a bunch of bells. Zach has to feed her and making her laugh. And Britney's like, oh, God, you make me laugh. Like, he wasn't even doing anything other than just being, like, a gay man. Just being like any other. Just a gay man. And she's like, oh, girl, you're making me laugh. Girl, you are making me laugh. And he was making us all laugh because Zack's. Zach's gay, and gay people make us laugh, and we thank them for it. And I'm proud to be a gay man. Okay, so then Brittany, she's laying in the bed, and she's like, I can't believe I get to see over my titties. I can't believe I could. And that's how they end the scene, which is so funny to me, because if. How do I put this? Her to say, I can't believe I get to see over My titties. That's just something I do. I wish I would have pulled the sound clip. Maybe we could pull it for next week. I can't believe I get to see over my titties. I need that on the soundboard. I desperately need that on the soundboard. And I need it on a pillow. Then let's take one more quick break and we got to talk about the rest of the episode because we haven't even gotten to the Jesse and Michelle of it all. Woo, baby girl. We'll be right back.

And we're back. Okay, so Janet and Jason's house. Schwartz comes over with the plant. He's always arriving everywhere at the plant. I don't know if he's gonna own a nursery or something, but he needs to do some sort of plant collab. I don't know who he could do it with. Home Depot, Lowe's, I don't care. But we need Schwartz. By the way, when he also went to Janet and Jason's house to check in. And Jason, I had forgotten that he was on the cast. Like he just wasn't in the rest of the episode. This cast is very big cast and we maybe need to scale back a little. A little. And I. I'm not saying Schwartz either, because I like I think Schwartz is bringing, like, a. A lightness to this show. And so I like him arriving with plants. I'm just saying I forgot that he was in the cast when he arrived. And then Jasmine arrived, too. Jasmine says she loves and appreciates Janet and Jason having her back because she's starting to realize how some of the others didn't have her back. So she's like, oh, wait, last year they did have my back. And so she thanks them. And then Schwartz, for some reason, surprised everyone with the mariachi band, and he's like, oh, yeah, it makes all your worries go away. And at first I was like, what? Like, it didn't make any sense to me how he hired a mariachi band. And then when he explained, like, oh, it just makes all your worries wash away, I was like, is he sort of right? Like, he's actually spot on. Because when people are breaking in a song like that, I feel that way. If you go to a restaurant sometimes, it just. It reminds me, over the holidays, I went some friends to a restaurant, they had carolers, or you go to Casa Vega here, sometimes they have a mariachi band. And it does make your night. Like, it is nice to just have people break it in a song. And so I'm happy about that. It makes the worries wash away. Then we cut to Jesse and Michelle. Their first coffee, they say, was 10 years ago. And Michelle's like, you look a little older. I gotta say, this was sort of shady of Michelle, but I do think Jesse's the kind of man that's gonna get hotter as he ages, because we've only been with him for three years, and I was looking at him in the scene, I was like, you know what? I think he's more attractive now. He's kind of got that look that, like, when he goes more fully gray, I think he's gonna be hotter. Which is, I'm sad to say, because I. I don't know that. I don't know. I want to be on Michelle's side, of course. Although I do think they're going to hook up again. They are going to hook up again. This scene, it was like breaking my heart. They're going to hook up again. I don't think they're going to have a relationship again, but mark my words, again, I've said it from years ago. I think the cast trip next season, the final cast trip next season, is when they're going to hook up because they just have a. Unfortunately, they have a chemistry together. And seeing it them. Michelle begged for a divorce and yet still look at him that way. I was like, oh, they have still some sort of spark here. And Michelle says she's asked for the divorce for two years and he won't divorce her. Jesse says they don't have papers. And she's like, actually, they do. And she pulled him out. She pulled him right out. Power move. And he was probably so pissed. And I think this was also something she probably thought about a lot of, like, well, if he's not going to divorce me, if I bring the divorce papers on camera, then he'll have to do it because the audience will be on her side. So it was like a. I thought this was a power play move. And he was probably very upset. And she says it hurt her that they are getting a divorce, but she wants to move on. She just wants the divorce. Jesse says they've moved on, but it was always in the back of his head, and he sort of, like, forgot or something to sign the papers. I was a little confused. He says he'll sign at home. And she cries. Jess is like, are you gonna cry? And she's like, I just want to be happy again. I don't know why I'm crying. I'm super excited to get divorced, but it's a little sad, too. Broke my heart, feels good to be me. And then they played that music. They're talking about their divorce and how sad it is. And then that was probably the transitional music into the next scene. But anyway, as they're sitting there and it's sad, Michelle says she always thinks of the good times. And they show a bunch of photos, and I. And I wrote my notes. Oh, gosh. I shouldn't say this. No, I don't think I should say this on a microphone. I wish somebody else could come here and say something. And, like, so then it couldn't be attributed to me, you know, maybe. Oh, look, there's someone here. Hey, come over here. Come over here. Say, what do you think? Say what you want to say. Okay, so I'm going to pass the microphone over to somebody else. So this is not Danny Pellegrino. So this is going to be someone else. So hold on a minute. Hi, everything. Iconic listeners. I'm a third party, and I'm here to say that I think that Michelle and Jesse should make it work and get back together. Okay, bye. Oh, my gosh. Did you guys hear that? Who was that? What a crazy opinion that is. I can't believe somebody just came here and hijacked the microphone and said such a crazy outlandish opinion that they think Jesse Michelle should get back together immediately. What? Who would say that? It wasn't me? Anyway, moving on. Jesse and Michelle hug and they leave arm in arm and Jesse cries in the confessional still to come this season because we got the the mid season trailer. We get drunk. Danny in Mexico. They all hate him. There's some wedding planning with Jack Jasmine and getting ready for the wedding. Zach gets a butt facial and cries Nia versus Janet. Luke says maybe no wedding with Kristen Lala versus Nia. Jesse says that Britney gets away with everything. Jack Zach vs. Jasmine it looks great. The rest we're back baby. We're back.

We are back. I want to thank you all so much for listening and I mentioned this on the Summer House recap, but the next couple of weeks I have it's our son's birthday is June 6th and it's his first birthday and we do have some family coming in and out of town over the next couple weeks. So my parents and brother and his family will be here and then Matt's mom is coming. So we have some overlapping family as well as birthday. And so I just want to let everyone know if for some reason the recaps for Summer House and in the city in the Valley are either maybe a little delayed or a day out or I maybe combine them or something over the next couple weeks, I just want you to be prepared for that. So if you're checking the feed and it's not there right away like it normally is, I'm going to try and I always tend to say this on the microphone. I tell you guys it's not coming and then I do it. So I always try to over promise and under or under promise over deliver and so I will try to do that and hopefully the recaps will be on time and efficient and all of those kinds of things. But if for some reason they're a little late or something, I just want to let everyone know that everything's all good. It's all right. I just want to let you know that it's all right. But be prepared. In the words of Scarf and the Lion King, I love you all so much and anything else we got to discuss. I mentioned the hacks finales coming soon. I'm devastated about that. I'm a little worried about what's going to happen because they've been sort of foreshadowing something and I'm nervous about it. So maybe we'll have to talk about that next week in Southern hospitality. I'm sad that they're ending their season because I'm loving it so much. Oh, and Atlanta, I'm just loving it. I'm trying to think. I did have something to say about Atlanta, but I forgot. It's escaped me right now. But in Rhode Island, I'm still not caught up on. I know people are mad about that. I'm not caught up. I'm going to one day and believe you me, when I do, I'm going to take to the microphone because I just. I will need to. I love you all so much for listening. Find me on social media Danny Pellegrino, wherever you get your social medias. And you go to everythingiconic store if you want merch and signed copies of my books, which you could get there. And we'll be back next week, hopefully on time. But if not, you know, you know why, girl.

Danny Pellegrino dives into the latest happenings on Bravo’s The Valley, offering his signature mix of humor and pop-culture insight. This week’s episode breaks down the shifting group dynamics, chaos in marriages, parenting woes, and highlights from a legendary “crab boil” party. Laced with memorable personal asides, observations about reality TV, and his familiar warmth, Danny also discusses social media mix-ups and gives space to emotional, real-life moments among cast members.
“It seems like they’re starting to gel without Jax. And so I’m finding the second half of this season of The Valley might be some must watch.” (06:29)
“We're not watching an aspirational show. We are watching a show about people who are newly married, new with kids, and by and large, kind of hate their lives. And the fun part about watching is that they hate their lives.” (07:09)
“I'm not Danny from the Valley. However, I've been getting messages...I am shocked watching this show...you are absolutely an alcoholic and you treat your wife like shit...I'm sorry. Please forgive me.” (09:21)
“By the way, I don't have a wife. So you're barking up the wrong tree, baby girl.” (11:40)
“What do you mean, he can’t pay $400 or $200 for the health insurance? What does he do with the money?” (19:00)
“She desperately needs a break...nor should Kristen, because they've only had three months...we need to do something about parental leave.” (22:15)
“Every time they go there, I get uncomfortable...whoever the camera people are that day and they see on the schedule like, ah, we gotta go to Santa Clarita...” (25:00)
“How many times a week are they going to these people? And you know, I love my therapy...but it seems like I don’t know if I trust Daniel’s wellness coach and therapist...” (28:50)
“Jason seems like a good man. He seems like a really good man...him and Janet finally having a good season, you guys, finally...” (29:39)
“The idea of...Britney having a crab boil to do her mommy makeover is some sacred event. Like, it's not like her kid's christening...” (33:05)
“Y’all won’t be able to keep clothes on me.” (34:28)
“There’s different kind of drunk. People can get drunk and be fun and silly...then other people...can be nasty and dark and rude and whatever. There’s a whole spectrum.” (39:30)
“She says she's a black gay woman. She has to fight three times harder for friends to see her.” (41:18)
“If I could see on social media just exclusively those videos...like seeing them drive Brittany home...Can we put her under and just, like, spin it off?” (42:55)
“I can’t believe I get to see over my titties.” (45:55)
“She pulled him right out. Power move. And he was probably so pissed...She says it hurt her...but she wants to move on.” (48:30)
“We're back baby. We're back.” (50:18)
Danny’s recap blends biting humor, warm empathy, and deep pop-culture fluency. He’s both laugh-out-loud funny and refreshingly honest about the burdens of parenthood and the flaws of reality TV personalities, all while rooting for viewers (and sometimes the cast) to find their joy and reframe their stories.
Listeners—whether deeply invested in The Valley or new to Bravo’s saga—will find this episode both accessible and hilarious. Danny offers enough context for newcomers while providing the sharp, in-jokey commentary that Bravo superfans crave.
All ad breaks, non-content intros, and outros have been omitted for focus on the content recap.
