Welcome to Everything Iconic with me, Danny Pellegrino. Today we're going to be covering episode 16 of the Valley. I was assuming as I was watching that we're reaching the end of the season. However, I looked it up and there's going to be 21 episodes this season. So we're on 16 plus there's a three part reunion. So we still got a long ways to go, baby girl. We're going to be with these people for another month or two. And I don't know that I'm all right. I don't know that I'm feeling all right. Because I'm ready to wrap this up. Because this season, this, at least this week, felt a little bit like a filler episode to me. I mean, no offense to the gang on the Valley, but I don't know that I really needed to see Danny getting the vasectomy. They even named the episode after his vasectomy. I'm like, if we're naming the episode titles after Danny on the Valley, Daniel's vasectomy, then maybe we need to start wrapping things up because I don't need to chase him to the urologist for his seven and a half minute procedure to be watching him getting his ball snipped. Not interested. I don't even want to see that man in general, which is. This is a good time to remind you all, if you like Danny, please turn this. Not me Danny, but if you, if you like Danny from the show the Valley on Bravo, please turn off this podcast episode. Please. I don't want to yuck your yum, so just go tune in to something else. But for right now, I have to say that I don't want to see him do much of anything on my screen, let alone go to the doctor to get his vasectomy. I've had enough of that man. And then we didn't even see Nia. She was. She's gone now for seven. She had to go away for seven days to do some Miss Miss USA or whatever. I don't know. I don't know. But it's a lot going on. And within the bigger Vanderpump Rules universe, I do have to mention a couple things because there's been some headlines this week. So we got to get into it. So I don't know if you saw the big breaking news this week from the big, larger Vanderpump Rules universe. Of course, they always find themselves in the news, whether they're ex cast members, current cast members, potential cast members. It's always in the news. It's always in the zeitgeist. And so of course, I have to Address it here on this podcast, because I'm here to. To report what's going on. And so I really gotta dive into what's on everyone's lips, which is. Gosh, how do I even say this? The sir restaurant social media account recently posted a picture of their salmon nachos. Now, many of you probably thought I was going to talk about the news that Jax is now hooking up with his publicist, allegedly Lori Kay. That's been in the headlines. And Britney was also with the publicist still, and she fired the publicist. Now it's being reported. And so of course, that's a headline that's coming out. And we should probably discuss that upwards of 45 minutes after this. But first, I gotta cover the SIR Instagram account. Please go to the Instagram account. Actually, don't. Actually don't do this, because it's very aggressive to the naked eye. And I actually feel that if they weren't already shutting down the sur restaurant, which not to say that I want these restaurants shut down. I want them to survive and thrive. However, the sir restaurant, I believe, and my heart of hearts, that no restaurant should be continuing to function after posting on their social media account a picture of salmon nachos. Salmon nachos. Go look at it. It's one of the most disgusting images I've ever seen in my entire life. Now, I do not care for seafood in general, but I certainly don't need my nachos covered in salmon. And it's the most incredible. It's such a. It's such a horrific photo, just visually. So I'm saying, even if you like a salmon nacho, which, like, what is going on that you're going to be like, oh, I would rather have these salmon nachos. But they posted them. It's the. It looks like. I hate to. I don't want to sound gross, but it looks like somebody, like, puked up something on a plate. And then they were like. And they yelled for Peter to take a picture of it or whoever's managing the restaurant. And they were like, then let's post it. Like, who sees this photo? And not that I have some big expert eye or something. It's not like I have a curated social media or whatever. But if you're a restaurant, I still feel like you should be posting pictures that don't just look like somebody was in the. Just decided to puke on the table. And I know we're dealing with a lot going on with the food industry right now. Everybody's getting the diarrhea from the lettuce. And so people got to stay away from the produce. But I don't think that the answer is going to serve for the salmon nachos, because this image is truly one of the most shocking things my eyes have ever seen. And I've seen quite a bit on these shows over the years. I can't even look at it, and so you need to go look. Every time I see it, it looks more and more disgusting. It was posted on July 7th, and I don't know if the show's coming back. I'm assuming Vanderpump Rules is canceled because they would have been filming. We're mid summer now. They would have been filming in the summertime with those young kids. But that show was such a flop when they rebooted it that I don't believe they're coming back. That's my. We haven't heard not a word out of Bravo about it. And I think they would have been filming now Vanderpump Rules. So I think they're done. I think they're moving on, and they probably should be. I think they ruined his show by rebooting it and everything. That's my personal opinion. And so maybe it's time to hang up those surge dresses and close down the restaurant. Because if you're serving the salmon nachos, not only serving them, but then posting them on your social media to say, hey, come over to Sur restaurant and get these salmon nachos. I can't imagine anybody's going to see that photo. And did they not learn their lesson from the lobster corn dogs? We don't need to be doing these seafood crossovers. I just don't know that we needed a lobster corn dog that was, of course, served at Schwartz and Sandy's, and we all know how that ended up. And now we got the salmon nachos and they're just posting as if to say, like, oh, look how good these look. Come to the restaurant. It's like you're turning people away from that restaurant. At some point you have to take accountability and say, this is why the restaurant industry, or this is why our restaurant is going to be closed and the show's going to be canceled. Because nobody's going to want to come through those doors, those sir doors, to check out the sexy, unique restaurant when there's nothing sexy, unique or edible about a sir nacho that you're posting on your Instagram feed. And so maybe you don't deserve to be open. I'm sorry to say it's Disgusting. It's disgusting. And they don't even look like plentiful. It just looks like. It doesn't even look like. You know how sometimes I talked about Cheesecake Factory? Cheesecake Factory is having this, like, big renaissance now. If you're on social media and TikTok, they got a big. People are going to the Cheesecake Factory left, right, and center. Recently, Chili's, which Chili's, it looks like, is going to be around Vanderpump rules. But they went through a big renaissance, too, on social media with their triple dipper. And so these chain restaurants, they are finding ways to go on social media and bring people into the restaurants. But even when you look at some of those. Look at the Cheesecake Factory's renaissance. One of the things people are doing is, like, the menu's so expansive and so, so long that people are on social media trying to go through the menu, which is. If you've ever been to Cheesecake Factory, you know, it's pages and pages and pages and pages. They got the skinnylicious menu. They got the. Is that Cheesecake Factory? I don't know. They got like a million pages of it. I mean, the Cheesecake Factory menu is longer than my books. It's like a crazy menu and very big portions. And people are going on social media and then posting pictures and stuff and even some of those items. Because when you have a menu that. That is that vast, some of the items might not at first glance seem very pleasing. And at sir, they don't even have that expansive of a menu, and they don't even look that plentiful. So when you're getting an item like the salmon nachos, it's like, who is asking for this if you have such a limited menu? Who wants a salmon nacho? Just serve us a goat cheese ball and make us happy or give us a burger or something. But a salmon nacho, it's like the most crazy thing. Not even a Cheesecake Factory. It's got pretty much everything on their fucking menu. And there's not a dish in the. It's not a single dish. Doesn't matter what genre of food or what background of food, culture, food. Cheesecake Factory's got it all, plus a million fucking desserts. And yet the sur restaurant's got probably, I don't know, a small menu. And then they're highlighting a salmon nacho plate that's barely got any nachos on the plate. It's probably 25 bucks. I don't know how much it is. I probably should have looked that up, and then they're highlighted on their social media. It's like a small plate of slop that looks like somebody puked it up. Venus is in the back, just puked on a plate and then served it. And they took a picture and it's like, what's going on there? What's happening over there? Anyway, I just had to get that off my chest. And God bless. We do. I do. Like, every time I've been eating at Sir, I did like the food there, but I was kind of shocked by the. And I just had to get that off my chest. Okay, wait, did we talk about the. So the Britney. Lori Kay was the publicist, and now she. I guess Lori Kay was spotted by TMZ and some of the other outlets on vacation with Jax. And it's actually makes me upset. And there were these rumors that came out a long time ago about Jackson the publicist, and now it's being confirmed. And so they had some secret rendezvous. Some secret rendezvous. And I don't believe that Brit bananas knew anything about it. And so I feel for her. She's been hanging on by a thread. She just did the mommy makeover after the crab boil. She had the drains in forever. And then she's, of course, single mom in it. Jax was abusive. Like, there was so much that she's been through in the past couple of years, and now she's got to deal with this. The publicist that she also employed is hooking up with the ex husband, who I don't even know if they're officially divorced yet. And it's just not okay. I feel bad for her. I feel bad for her. Anyway, they all got secrets. I told you I've been listening to a lot of Madonna. That new album, Confessions 2. Oh, I love it. And I didn't love it at first, but it grew on me. And now every day I got a new track. There's a one called Love Without Words that I'm currently obsessed with. And the first time you listen to it, if you haven't listened to Madonna's new album, the first time you listen, you're gonna be like, what is this? It's like a lot of. It's all dance music, first of all. And there's a lot of talking through. It's like these incredible beats, and there's a lot of Madonna talking about it. And it's a mix of, like, very intense. She's like, I'm going through a troubling time. And then. And so she'll say that over Like a dance track. And then she'll also just be like, and I want to get fucked on the dance floor. You know, that's kind of the dichotomy. Like, I'm really struggling to survive right now, so I just want to get fucked on the dance floor. Like, that's the kind of talking over the beats. And once you sort of accept that, you're like, oh, okay. This is actually, like, incredible dance music. Incredible workout music. But my current favorite is this called Love Without Words, which feels like a. Like a. It reminds me like a 90s house. Like you'd hear at a gay bar in the 90s. Or did you guys ever watch the original Queer As Folk? They used to go to, like, a dance club there. And that's how I thought, like, once you're gay, I was like, oh, you go to these dance clubs, and it's just like, the lights are down, everybody's got their blouse off, sweat and dancing. And they'd play. It reminds me, like, that would play there. And I mean that in, like, the most complimentary of ways. Like, it's. It's also, like, brilliant how she does the transitions through the songs. Anyway, I think I talked about Madonna in the last episode. I gotta shut my mouth. But you know what? I can't shut my goddamn mouth about Madonna because I've been so obsessed with the album, and I'm happy for her. Okay, back to the Valley. Okay. We open on 12 minutes in. We're just getting the episode. I'm sorry. It took us on a million detours. But you know what? It's worth it, because starting off the episode was really tough for me because we open in Santa Clarita. I don't want your life. I can't. We can't open an episode in Santa Clarita. I don't want to see their house in Santa Clarita. Danny and Nia, I'm referring to. I don't want to see it. It makes me very uncomfortable. I don't know how many weeks I have to get on this microphone and say, even taking them out of the equation, I do not care. Going to their house on camera, it's very upsetting to my eyes and my spirit. And seeing it open, the show. Why would they do this to us? And then to see they're unpacking, and it's like a mess of a house at the moment, which I understand. They got 100 kids and they're busy people. But to see it, not only to have to be in Santa Clarita, but Then to, then to have to see a close up of Nia's makeup bag that just says mama on it. Just mama. And I'm like, I can't. Heartbreak is not feeling good in a place like this. Like, I cannot be in Santa Clarita. And watching Danny and Nia talk about Mexico. And Danny's like, this whole Mexico thing, I just don't understand it. And he's like, I keep going back to my. These are supposed to be my friends and I consider my friends. But then they just shouldn't have this. Our friends shouldn't act like this. And then Danny says, what they turned into is just mean. It was my freaking birthday. And I'm like, daniel, it was also your anniversary, you dumb shit. Like, why is he never mentioning the fact that it's also their 10 year anniversary? And also he was the one who ruined their anniversary by not following Nia after she asked him a hundred times, daniel, please stop it. Daniel, please stop it. And then he didn't go back to the room with her, left her back to the room. And now he blaming all the friends for ruining its birthday. It's like, actually you should apologize to your wife in this moment for ruining her 10 year anniversary, you dumb shit. I mean, come on. And then the way that they just are like turning everything around on everybody else, it's like, actually, you guys are the ones doing this. And then when Nia's like, friends don't act like this, it's like, well, husbands don't act like this. Wake up, wake up. Like, why? I don't understand how Nia keeps seeing like, or keeps saying on camera, like, friends aren't supposed to be like this. But then she doesn't see that like husband, husbands aren't supposed to be like this either. If you ask your husband to come back to the room on your 10 year anniversary, he should go back to the room. And he was the one who started the whole thing last week in Mexico. He was the one who was approaching Michelle and saying like, michelle this, Michelle that. Talking about the drinking. And they're always talking about Janet says this. It's like Janet's tried to move on from all of this. And you guys are the ones who are not moving on. And so you guys are the ones who keep starting all this shit. And then not only that, it's like, why are you not even reacting to your husband being an asshole to you? It's almost like Nia, what she's doing is purposely like ignoring Daniel because she's like, maybe if I ignore it. Then the show will just focus on the friends being an asshole instead of my husband being an asshole. But like the audience is still seeing her husband being an asshole. So we all feel like this disconnect with them of like, Nia, why are you not seeing? You're just choosing to ignore that your husband's acting this way towards you and actually ruining your trips and your vacations and your everything. And it's not just the Mexico trip. It's like this. Remember when he was mad at her for getting a sandwich on the train? Or like there's been a hundred instances this season where her husband was being a jerk and an asshole and she's not even acknowledging that. And she just keeps saying the friend, the friends shouldn't act like this. It's like, what about your husband? What about your husband who's doing all these things? And then still in the moment, your husband keeps saying, ruined my birthday. It's like, oh, actually it ruined your anniversary. The anniversary should be above like, how old are you? Why are you acting like your birthday is bigger than that 10 year anniversary? Like it's crazy to me anyway. Their house is a mess. She's going away to some Contests or Ms. USA or whatever. I don't know, I wasn't paying attention. Moving on. Cut to Jasmine. Oh goodness. Then we see Jasmine and her mom shopping for the dress with Zach and Brittany for the wedding dress. And I like that they're at a nice dress shop and Zach is just in a backwards hat, camo pants and a T shirt and the rest are all like really dressed up. Even Britney Brit Bananas showed up and she was all dressed up. What are they doing about the. So Jasmine just had the wedding, which leads me to believe that the wedding is not going to be on camera. I. So what are they doing with Jasmine's wedding? Are they going to show it? My only thought is like, maybe they will add the footage to the end of this season because they haven't started filming next season. But then why would they not film Jasmine's wedding? Like I, I sometimes feel like those like the gay people on the show, like they get sort of discarded because. What do you mean we're having a wedding that we followed this couple and we're seeing this couple have their engagement party or whatever on the show, seeing Jasmine go wedding dress shopping. So like, we better see the wedding on the show. Unless Jasmine and Melissa like didn't want the wedding to be shown. Which is understandable because I think when you do a wedding on camera, like that they can't play regular music and stuff. And it seems like it would ruin a wedding. However, I still want to see it as a viewer. And so I'm wondering, what are they doing? Maybe they're. Maybe they did film it and they're gonna tack it on. I did hear a rumor. Maybe they'll tack on some stuff. I don't know. It lights. It lights up and start filming. I don't know. Get back to work. Get back to work. Okay, so then, yeah, they're shopping for the wedding dress. Jasmine cried. I was happy for her. And she said, she's like, I didn't think I was gonna look pretty, but I look pretty. Ah, that broke my heart. And we all don't see. We don't see ourselves the way that we should see ourselves. We should see how beautiful we all are. Do you know what I'm saying? I hate to get a little cheesy right now, but I do think sometimes we all go throughout life with our body dysmorphias and our hangups and wanting to fix this or that and looking in the mirror and saying, I don't like that about me. I don't like that. But we need to start looking in the mirror and say, I like that about me. I like that about me. When I was talking to a friend about it, it's like, you know, those. We all have those things that we don't like in ourselves, but then other people do like those things. So the example I was. I was talking to a friend about is like, I love guys who have, like, kind of. I hate to say it, but, like, dumbo ears. And I mean that in, like a complimentary way. Like, I. I'm so attracted to men who have, like, the big dumbo ears. And some people I talked to a friend, some saying somebody got him, like, pinned back or something. And I was like, oh, my gosh, why would they do that? And they were like, oh, he was always so self conscious about it. And I'm like, oh, my God. Self conscious about it. Like, I. When I see a man who's got, like, Channing Tatum sometimes when he's got the buzz head, those. He's got a little bit of the. Where the ears stick out. And I find it so attractive. But so my point is, is like, a lot of times we hate things about ourselves, but there's someone out there who's like, oh, my God, I love when I see something like that. And so we need to find ways to love ourselves. We do. We gotta love ourselves. And so I was happy. Jasmine's like, I look pretty. And I got emotional about it and seeing her mom get emotion and she thought she said something about she thought her mom was expecting her to marry a man. And now the mom is just really accepting Melissa, who, by the way, Melissa. I don't think we've discussed this on the podcast before, but she's stunning, stunning, just beautiful. And we don't really know much about her. I guess she works a job off that maybe she doesn't want to be on camera that much. But I was looking at her at the party they had at the end of the episode and God, Melissa, both of them. Obviously Jasmine's gorgeous too, but we've never talked about Melissa because I think she's been so side character y that I was looking at her. I'm like, God, she's stunning. They make such a hot couple. And so hearing Jasmine say I didn't think I was going to look pretty, I'm like, you guys are the hottest people on this show. What do you mean you didn't think you were going to look pretty? You enlists are stunning. Okay. Anyway, then we cut to Kristen and Luke's house. Let's talk about this in a minute. Kristen and Luke's house. Now it's the dogs. It's them. Luke said he's tired from the three day bender they had in Mexico. And it's revealed that he's 34, which I knew he was in his 30s, but I didn't realize. 34. I didn't realize he was 34. I thought he was older than that. Like, I knew he was younger than Kristen, but I didn't realize he was 34. But they talk about the wedding and the truth is they probably shouldn't get married yet because it seems like they're not on quite the same page. And Luke said something about not being who he wanted to be or what he wanted to be. And I'm a little confused. I do worry. I do worry. I do worry. You know, Andy Cohen always said, don't quit your jobs when you do reality tv. And I'm a little, I don't know, I'm a little concerned. I was like thinking, what is Luke's job? Or what is his career? What does he want outside of this reality show? Now if he just wants to be a stay at home dad, like, I think that's a wonderful thing. Like, that's actually harder than being every other job there is to be a stay at home parent. And you guys know what I'm talking about. But that is like, that'd be great if loop. But it seems like that's not what he wants either because he's always talking about, I wanted to go golfing and fishing. And they do have nannies, a nanny, I believe. And so if you don't want to be the full time parent, then, like, what is it? I'm confused. Like, what is the. Is it just to do reality tv? Which maybe that is, maybe that's enough, which is fine. But it seems that's a little bit of a red flag to me. It's like, well, what? Because this show could end in a minute. Something could happen. They could get fired. So what's after this then? Is it to go on other reality shows? Maybe so. And I even feel this a little bit with Danny too. Like I noticed he was saying, like, Nia had to go away for seven days and he said something about he was getting his vasectomy and so he needed childcare for seven days. So Nia had to organize the childcare, which by the way is seven and a half minutes. A procedure where it's local. What did they give him? Nitrous oxide or something? So they don't even put them under. So it seems like not that intensive a surgery. So Danny was saying, oh, you had to recover and stuff. I'm like, what is the recovery? It can't be that serious. Brittany was running around Mexico with her, her drains. Like, what do you mean? Danny Needs seven days. Seven days of childcare. For when? After he gets his vasectomy. Now, I know they have 100 kids, but maybe a couple days would have been fine. And it seems like Nia is the primary income driver in that family or what's the word? She's an influencer, so she makes much more. I know Danny's an actor, but where's the acting at? So I would imagine Nia makes much more money than Danny. But then Danny still seems to want those traditional house roles, which seems crazy to me. So again, I think a stay at home parent is the hardest job in the world. So I just want to be clear about that. Like, I stayed at home with my son and it's the hardest thing in the world. And I just worry. I'm like thinking, well, what happens if these people get fired from this show? But with the Danny and Nia thing, I'm like, well, it seems like he wants those traditional gender roles in the household, but then she's making all the money, so it's like why he should be taking on more of the house stuff. Does that make sense? But yet he can't even do it for seven days while Nia's gone After a seven minute procedure. Maybe the, I don't know what the recovery is like for a vasectomy. So I don't know, maybe it is a lot. But I would imagine if they don't even put you under, it can't be that painful, right? Like it can't be that bad if they're not even giving you. They're just, it seemed like pretty. He was doing jazz or he was scatting while he was breathing in the nitrous oxide. So how much, how tough was it? I don't know. Then we get to Lala's house. Sosa, adorable looking, wearing the lion costume. Ugh, I love babies in Halloween costumes. Also Sosa. There was a minute where Sosa was imitating the pop, pop, pop, you know, and I thought, woo, it's a little Lala on screen and Lala's brother's there and they're crying because Lily, the dog who has been on PJs, lived in Utah, lived a life, is nearing the end and so Lala has to decide what to put the dog down or not. And my heart broke about that. Kristen arrived to give her some advice or whatever and it's like, that's got to be one of the hardest things to decide. Should we put the dog down? But Kristen plays devil's advocate for Danny and I Don't think Danny needs any devil's advocates because Lala is confronting Kristen. And Lala tells Kristen, like, he speaks poorly to women, including his wife, who Lala calls a lineman in a prairie dress. And Kristen says she doesn't see it because she's in a bubble. And the truth is, I really understand this, and I've been saying this about Kristen on the past episodes of, like, she's four months postpartum and dealing with her own shit with the baby for the first time. She's a mom, so I do understand, like, Kristen's not really paying attention and, like, what else is going on on this show. Like, she's so in her own head. And even if you look at her history of, like, travel, she's not a good traveler. And so then she's going on vacation for the first time with the baby, which is already added anxiety for any parent, let alone someone who hates traveling that much. And then, so I would imagine Mexico, she was, like, hanging on by a thread. So I don't. I actually don't falter for, like, not seeing it so much. But that said, that said, I can only defend her so much because I'm saying I'm looking at this being like, everybody on the cast is telling you this and trying to sort of wake you up to Dani and Nia and seems like she's not breathing it in. And so I know she's concerned with her other everything going on in her own life, but I hope that at some point she kind of opens her eyes and sees Dany and Nia in there. A nightmare. But it does seem, again, it feels like there's some sort of agreement between those. Even Zach and Danny and Nia and Kristen, where it's like, we're gonna have each other's back no matter what. And it's not fun for the audience to watch when people are blindly loyal to each other. Even though I think in real life you have friendships that you are blindly loyal to. This feels like an alliance for a TV show, more so than just, like, their best friends. And do you get what I mean? Like, here's a good example. Real Houses of Orange county is back and hip and Casita, Gina and Emily on that show, they've been friends since they joined the cast. And at this point, watching the show, I. It feels like they're genuinely close friends. Like, I do believe in my heart that those two are really close friends in real life, on the show and off the show. And so them having each other's back on the show Just totally makes sense to me. It doesn't feel like a show alliance. It feels like they are friends. We've, we've never seen them falter in a friendship in eight years. They might have had like tiny, tiny, tiny squabbles, but for the most part they've had each other's backs and been loyal to each other. And so it feels like a genuine. But when I'm watching, at least as an audience watching Kristen and Luke and Danny and Nia and Zach, that doesn't. I'm not seeing like a, the genuine friendship or it's not radiating through the screen in the same way. So them having each other's back without question just feels like an alliance more so than just like a genuine best friendship. Does that make sense? Maybe not. Who's to say? Anyway, they are going to be celebrating Lala her seven years sobriety. They're going to be doing a dinner, which is great. 7. It's amazing. And even though I oftentimes hate Lala on the show, I do got to give her credit. Seven. That's pretty great. Okay, so then we cut to Santa Clarita again. Again a fucking again. We're filming in Santa Clarita again and the guys all have to go. And you know, Tom Schwartz doesn't want to drive to Santa Clarita to film a scene with Danny, you know, he doesn't. But then him and Jesse and Luke, they all arrive. Danny's cleaning for the guys to arrive and Jesse says, Jesse like gets on his knees and he's saying goodbye to Daniel's to dick his dick. And it's almost as triggering as the outdoor mat that Danny and Nia have on their front doorstep that says yay, you're here. You know how I feel about the word out around the house. And we've talked ad nauseam about Britney's word art around that house where every room you enter it says like Cruz, Brittany, the couchies or whatever. Have a great day. Live, laugh, love. Here I am, living room, kitchen. You know, it just, you walk in the kitchen just says kitchen. We. I can't talk about that more. I've already talked about it a hundred times. But at Danny and Nia's house, they got the mat the front door that says, yeah, you're here. And I just thought like, we've got to stop it, stop it, stop it. And I'm not even talking to them. I'm talking to the manufacturers. I don't want to go into a Michaels or Home Goods or wherever. Actually, I just Went into Michaels the other day, and they're a sponsor on the show, but I genuinely love the Michaels and they sell the front door mats. Anyway, the point is, I don't want to go into one of those places and just see a mat that says, yay, you're here. Got to get rid of those. And I don't know what we got to do, and I don't want to throw them in a landfill or anything, but maybe we could upcycle them. Is there a way to upcycle them? I know crafty people are out there. Maybe they could. You could put some puffy paint on there or something and just do. Just draw a design over it. Just some leaves or a big rose or, I don't know, something. Whatever. You got to do a design. I'm not a artist in that way, but let's put some puffy paint on there. Okay. So then, yeah, they say, good. Jesse, though, he's doing a lot of talking to Danny's dick, and it was just. I. I don't know what possessed him, but he did get on his knees, like, twice this episode in front of Danny. And. And you have to. Yeah. And you got to get really low. So not only was he on his knees, but. And Jesse's not that super tall of a man, but, like, Danny's so close to the ground that I feel like Jesse had to really get, like, low and to talk to his penis on camera. And I don't know that he needed to do it in general, let alone two times. But let's see that. Danny says in his confessional, he's like, I like to be cared for, and my wife is my rock, and she'll give me the space to recover. But now that she's gone, I have to have full time childcare. Ugh. Okay. We talked about Jesse doing dick talking to Danny. Okay. Then they eat some barbecue outside. Jesse brings up Mexico, and Danny acts like the victim again. And Jesse for, like, a brief moment starts sticking up for Janet. He's like, I had a conversation with Janet and she explained to me how she feels the way I feel. And I wrote in my notes, that's a great reality star, Jesse changing up the dynamics. It's like, that's what you need to do. He hated Janet one episode, so it's like a couple episodes later. Now he's sticking up for her. That's what the show needs. You need to keep evolving and changing up the dynamics and conflict and resolution. But then he throws Janet under the bus. And like, Jesse, we were so close to getting somewhere. And now we're back to square one. Because it's like this cast needs to move on and change up the dynamics, and they're not doing that. And Danny feels like he's become the punching bag. And then Schwartz pisses me off because he's in his confessional saying Danny and Luke are dismissing Janet's trauma. But then he's not saying that in person. And it's like, Schwartz, like, be louder in person. This whole season, Schwartz in his confessional is, like, saying the right things and being nice, but then not in the confessional, he's, like, not saying the same things. I'm like, you need to speak it up. Schwartz, put on some shoes and say it. Also, like, it just feels a little. It's. They're all dancing around this. They don't outright say it, but they're. They are saying it. Actually, they are saying it. If you watch the way that they're talking about Janet opening up about her drama, last week's episode, they are. Without directly saying it, they're all sort of implying that she's using this as it makes me grossed out, the way that they're kind of dismissing it as just her way of. I don't. I don't even like talking about it because this makes me uncomfortable. Anyway, Danny goes to the urologist with Zach. Seven half minute procedure. The doctor walks in and says something about jazz. He's like, where's my jazz music? The doctor says. And then Danny starts scatting like he's Kim cattrall in that YouTube video. If you've never seen it, you need to go watch. Just Google Kim Cattrall Sc. But he just starts scatting. He's like, boopap a dee boo. You know, while he's doing the nitrous, that little man on the table just. And then he's got. He had to be shaved as they're giving him the nitrous. But yeah, Danny Scatton was just. I almost turned off the episode at that point. I'm like, I don't need to watch Danny Scatton. This episode was too heavy of a Danny episode for me. Too much for me. It was like, all at Daniel. I'm like, oh. And without. Without Nia just having to watch Daniel, just. I cannot do it in general. Like, Devil's Advocate in general. I don't like watching the straight men on these shows. Like, in any of the shows. I prefer the women. I think it's because the way I started my Bravo journey was like, through Housewives and through women. And so I don't always love when there's any sort of straight male storylines on there. I kind of think like, get them out of here. Not interested. Feel that way in the Housewives when they have a husband scene. It's like, I don't want to see this. And in the Valley sometimes it could be so male heavy that I'm like, who's, who wants to see this Anyway? Lala has a sober night with the girls and Zach and she's emo about the dog. I feel bad. Zach talks about getting hit in the last week's episode around his birthday, his birthday birtday. And then he said he was worried about his hair because he had to call his hairstylist from the Mexico hospital be like, can we make sure? And I'm proud of him. I'm proud of him for the way he acted on his birthday and also making sure his hair. He got that hair fixed after season one and he's been looking great. So I'm proud of Zach. Proud of Zach. I don't want your life Right. So Janet and Lacy, after the Mexico trip, I guess they became friends. And then Janet and Zach had a moment at the airport or when they were having lunch on the way back where they followed each other on social media. But then Zach immediately unfollowed. And I think Zach wants to be friends with Janet but is afraid of the Kristen and Nia situation. And the truth is like, I know and I've been nothing but complimentary about Zach this whole season. However, when you really think about like the thing that he said about Janet and the baby situation, which I don't need to reiterate exactly what it was because it was pretty dark sided, but it's like it seems like he kind of was the one at fault with him and Janet specifically. And so now that Janet has to keep going and saying I'm sorry and like trying to make peace with Zack, and then Zach keeps like sort of tiptoeing in and out of that relationship, it's like, well, Zach, actually you were the one who said a pretty awful thing about Janet's baby. And so you should if she wants to make up you should just make up. And it seems like she's trying. And then he's just as like following, then unfollowing. And Michelle calls out that Zack and Janet are friends without the Kristen Nia of it all. And I think they would be, and I wish they would just embrace that. But it seems like there's this weird dynamic that is very clear to the audience watching of like this weird alliance between that group. And look, that's not to say there's not an alliance between the other one, however, of the other group of like the, the gals of Britney and Lala and Janet and Michelle. However, as a viewer, it feels like that's more of like I was talking about earlier, the Emily and Gina thing, or it feels like that those gals are actually friends, whereas the other group just feels more like an alliance to the audience at least. So. And we don't know. Yeah, I don't know. But Lala brings up Kristen like, are you gonna hate Janet forever? And Kristen's like, I just don't trust Janet. And then Kristen says Janet is mean to people and likes to hurt people. Says Janet's an asshole. She's like, if someone tells you who they are, believe them them. And Lala says that Kristen is seeing how the audience saw how the audience reacted to Danny and Nia and doesn't want the Janet treatment. And I think this is true too. Like Lala, which she's been saying this all season, they're kind of moving about the show sometimes where it's like they're thinking about the audience reaction and like, everybody hated Janet. The audience the past two seasons, like, you could not find one audience member who liked Janet. Like, they really fucking hated Janet.

And so you're seeing them navigate this and it almost feels like the cast forgot that the audience opinion is going to change and not only the audience opinion, but like the show is going to produce it so that we're on that Bravo roller coaster ride. So they should have recognized that like, yeah, somebody might be hated one season, but eventually they're going to be liked. But they're still sort of maneuvering about this show as if, like, everybody's going to continue hating Janet and like be so for Danny and Nia. And I think that's a problem that a lot of these reality shows run into. It's like we need the cast members just go in there and be authentic to what their experience with the cast member is and not try to, to go maneuver based off audience reaction. Is that making sense? So I do agree With Lala saying that about the audience reaction. Jasmine, meanwhile, has the worry stone. Then Janet brings up, though, when they're talking about this situation, Janet's like, I've been trying to move forward. And so she says, I just want to be clear. And she says this on camera, and she's basically breaking the fourth wall here. She's like, I just want to be clear that I'm trying. This is Kristen and Nia as the reason the group is shattered. She's like, I just. And she says that. She doesn't say, that's why the show dynamics are all out of whack and we can't move forward with our storylines. But she says, like, look, I'm trying. And I would imagine producers were also like, like, telling them, like, you guys need to have resolution between you so we can all move forward and, like, find new feuds and find new dynamics and new storylines and all that stuff. But if you're not making up, then we're just having a divided group. And so Kristen or Janet is basically saying on camera, like, I'm. I've been trying my best. Like, earlier in the season, I tried to pull them aside, pull Nia aside, apologize, but try to make up with Kristen. Every chance I get, I try to make up with Zach. She says, so I just want to be clear that. That Kristen and Nia are the reason why the group is shattered. And I agree with that. And I know, look, the interesting thing about this show is, like, the people who hate Janet, they're not. A lot of them aren't budging. And so I say that all the time. That's why I give that disclaimer at the beginning of the episodes every week, because I still get a lot of people saying, oh, I'm too complimentary towards Janet, or I'm too hard on Danny and Nia. It's like, I'm just going where the show goes. And I feel like a lot of people have dug their heels into their hate with Janet, and I think it's totally understandable why people hated her in previous seasons. But I think, like, if you're hating her for not the show not being able to move on, like, we have to open our eyes and realize, like, Janet actually was trying to get the show to move on by making up with these people. But, like, some of them are saying, like, I will not have a relationship with her. And so it's like, we're just gonna keep going back and forth about the same things over and over again unless we can move forward. And so we need them to move forward. Or if that's not case, if that's the case that we're not gonna move forward, then some people have to go from the show. We have to get rid of some people because we can't have a stagnant season again next season. So that might mean the producers say, oh, we gotta get rid of Janet and Jason then. Or we have to get rid of Danny and Nia or Kristen or whoever, because they're gonna see. If you're not willing to move forward, then we have to. We're done. The show can't go in circles again. And it feels like we're going in circles. And so hopefully they're looking at the group and the producers are deciding, like, who are we gonna get rid of then? Because we can't have everybody around if they're not willing to move forward. And if I was a producer, I'd say, okay, well, who's been trying to move forward and find resolution with the cast members and who are the people who are blocking it? It seems like Danny and Nia are really the blockage of this show. And so if I was producing, that's why I would get rid of those two, Danny and Neo. But if they do find resolution, then I'd say maybe. I'd maybe look at the cast and say, well, maybe it makes more sense to get rid of the other another two or something. I don't know. Either way, we gotta bring in Sheena. Either way, bring in Sheena Shay. Because I was just watching an old clip of Vanderpump Rules, and it was like Sheena and Ariana on Sheena's bed. And it was on mute. Like, I was scrolling my phone and so I didn't. I wasn't even, like, listening. But it was like Sheena on Sheena's bed when she was married to Shay, and she had all these pictures and just said live Laugh Love on her wall. And she had all these pictures of herself around that, around her bedroom. And I was like, she's made for reality tv. Even though sometimes she could be infuriating, I'm like, I need to know what she's up to anyway. And also, I think, like, Sheena, despite the fact that she's obviously got a lot of trouble in her marriage, which could be good tv, I do think she would bring, like, a lightness to the show that it needs, because I'm sick of. I'm sick of this Danny and the drinking and all that kind of stuff. It's like, enough is enough, okay? Then we cut to Jasmine and Melissa's engagement party. Lots of great food there. Jason's on crutches, but he's finally in an episode, I guess so. Bravo. Then the girls agree that Jasmine and Melissa will make it, but none of the straight couples will. And so that was nice. Lala and Michelle say Janet hasn't done anything to Zack or Kristen and has tried to make up. So this is the big topic of the episode. Lacy and Kristen and Jesse all sit and talk. And this is Kristen questions the timing of Janet talking about her sexual assault. Yuck. I didn't like that. I didn't like that. You know what else I didn't like is they showed a. They showed a. How do I even say this? They showed a close up of Britney's feet. I need to take off these shoes. And then they showed a close up and it was just like she was wearing see through and they were like fogging up and the dogs were barking. You know what I'm saying? You know how they call feed dogs? It's like those dogs were barking. They were ready to get out of those shoes. Rachel Lindsay was at this party, which I like to see. I love my Rachel Lindsay. She's got a great podcast talking about Bravo too. So if you haven't listened, go listen to Rachel Lindsay from the Bachelorette or the Bachelor. Then we cut to Janet and Jesse. Janet is nice to Jesse and says she likes Lacy and she apologizes for not getting to know Lacy sooner. And Jesse thinks there's ulterior motives and it's not sincere. It's like, well, what are we? We can't keep going on like this. This is another frustrating situation because it's like, okay, Janet, I felt, got vulnerable and said, I shouldn't have judged Lacey. Like, and I don't know how else how more honest she could have been saying, she fucked up, she should have been nicer to Lacey. Whatever. She literally was putting all the blame on herself, saying, I didn't give her a chance. And then Jesse's saying there's ulterior motives. And it's like, okay, well, then you're talking about show ulterior motives. But it's like making it frustrating for the audience because you're not allowing that relationship dynamic to move forward. It just feels like you're trying. It feels like that side is just wanting Janet off the show. And so they're spending a whole season doing anything they can to, like, get her off the show. So no matter what Janet does, it's like, let's get her off the show. And it's making the audience, or at least it's making me feel like I don't. I don't like that you guys are. I always say, like, let the audience decide who we want on these shows. Like, you guys. We don't want the cast to decide. And if they would have just not played it that way, I think we. The audience would have been like, please, fire Janet. Like, get rid of Janet. Janet. We can't have Janet, Jason. But instead, when the audience can feel half the group trying to get Janet fired from the show, I think it makes the audience be like, no, you don't get to decide that. Like, we want to decide that. And so now the audience is wanting Janet on the show. I think not everyone. There's still a lot of people that want her off. Believe you me, I hear from them, but. And you don't have to reach out to me every time to say that you still hate Janet. I get it. I get it. But it feel so. I feel like the audience, like, let the audience do it. I don't want the cast to try to ice someone out and get them fired, because it never works. In the history of Bravo, it never works. It's like, let the producers, let the audience, let everybody else figure out who should be on the cast and who shouldn't. We don't want the cast trying to ice someone out, because it never works. It'll just make a side with the person you're trying to ice out. It's happened on Vanderpump Rules. It's happened on Housewives. It's happening now on the Valley. So I don't know why, especially some of the cast members who've been on reality TV so long haven't picked up on that. You know, like, if. If they would have all accepted Janet's. If Nia would accepted Janet's apology, and Kristen and Zach and they would all started the season being like, we're gonna move forward and be friends. Then Janet would have done something to annoy the shit out of us, and the whole audience would be like, oh, we have to get rid of Janet. Like, please go. But instead, they made the audience side with Janet. And so it's on them if they get fired or if Janet keeps coming back. Okay, moving on. Let's see. They. Brittany gets on the microphone and then calls up Jasmine and Melissa to give a speech. They thank Brittany for the engagement party. It's nice to see a happy lesbian couple on tv. And I hope we continue to see more of Them. Lacey also reveals she went through a lesbian phase. Then Zach gives a speech. They shot a montage. They show a montage of Jasmine and Melissa in pictures. Jasmine didn't think she would find someone like Melissa, and Melissa feels safe for her. And we already talked about Melissa being stunning, but I wrote that in my notes. So is Jasmine again, And I wonder if they'll show that wedding. But next time on the show, we see them going to Chili's. Jesse and Michelle get divorced and have a moment where they're crying together around a table. Then what else happens? Benji and Zach talk about kids. I would like to see. I've mentioned this on the podcast, too, but, like. Like, I would love to see, as a gay parent myself, there's, like, such little representation of gay people with kids in media. And I would really love it now that we're getting this storyline of, like, Zach and Benji. And I'm not saying me, I'm just. I know I live in the Valley, but I don't mean me. But I would love it if they could find another gay couple that has a kid where it's like, Benji and Zach. I think that would be, like, great to see because, yeah, I just. I feel like I don't see gay parents with kids anywhere on television or anything. And so now that I'm seeing Zach and Benji talk about it and we have all these straight couples and I don't know, do Jasmine and Melissa want kids? I would just like to see that journey play out. So even if it is Jasmine and Melissa, like, and they. If they do want kids, it's like, I would love to see that play out because I think a lot. I've noticed a lot of people, a lot of straight friends or straight people we know, they don't understand the process of, like, how. What with gay people having kids. And I think that could be something really interesting for them to explore next season. And yes, I want Sheena and Brock on the show, but it's like, I think that would be a very interesting. I don't know if everyone would be interested or accept it, but I personally would like to see that kind of play out. Anyway, that's the end of the episode. And speaking of baby, I'm, like, watching the monitor right now. I have to go get him. He's just waking up from his nap. I've been recording while the baby's been napping, and he's trying to get out of the crib. And he just learned. The baby learned how to. To unzipper his sleep sack. I guess I was like, looking up ways to combat this and people are saying he put it on backwards or something. But I'm like, how the fuck did he learn how to get out of sleep sack? Now he's just turned one and he's like unzippering the whole thing. I'm like, ugh, now I got to think about that. I'm worried because I'm worried he's going to take it off and then try to crawl out the crib because that's the next step. And then you got to get the bed or the toddler bed or whatever. And we have the crib that morphs into the. The toddler bed. But, like, I'm just not ready for him to be out of the crib. He just turned one and so I'm like, concerned. Now he's zippering out of the sleep sack. He's gonna throw that hoof over the crib wall and try to climb out of there. Anyway, I better go get him. I love the little guy.
