Catholics drift from the faith all the time, but it's like walking away from an oasis in the desert. Here are reasons why Catholics need to come back, and not delay.I also talk about some reasons why Catholics drift away, stop practicing the Catholic Faith, and I directly address those reasons head-on. Sometimes people are hurt by the Church, sometimes they just drift away gradually. But Catholics need to see things in perspective, understand the treasure they've left behind, and find the courage to come home to the Catholic Church

"The Bible alone" isn't just a lie. It's poisonous fruit that divides Christianity and misguides the Christian faithful. The Bible didn't fall from the sky. The canon you're holding came out of sacred tradition. Christianity didn't come from the Bible; the Bible came from Christianity. In this episode I lay out five reasons sola scriptura doesn't hold up—and I'm not rehashing the same debate you've seen a hundred times on YouTube. I want to come at it from a different angle.I get into why the Bible never actually teaches sola scriptura, what Christians were doing for the centuries before the canon was even settled, how Scripture itself points back to apostolic tradition, and why "scripture alone" can't even tell you which books belong in Scripture in the first place. Then I get to what I think is the real problem: it fractures Christian unity. When you leave interpretation to the individual, you end up with denominations waving the same Bible and landing on opposite answers—with no authority to settle it.In this episode:Why the Bible came out of sacred tradition, not the reverseThe five core flaws of sola scriptura, one at a timeWhat Christians relied on before the canon was finalizedWhy there's no "magisterium" to call balls and strikes in ProtestantismHow "scripture alone" produces contradiction instead of unity

Gen Z isn’t simply “returning to church” the way older generations might imagine. Many are searching for faith, meaning, identity, community, and something with backbone — but they’re not always finding it in the same places, or in the same ways, as their parents and grandparents.Young people are showing renewed interest in religion, but the story is more complicated than a simple “Gen Z is coming back to church” headline. Some are returning to Catholicism. Some are drifting into Protestant communities. Some are exploring alternative spiritualities, Eastern religions, neopaganism, or a personalized version of faith that they assemble for themselves. In this episode, I look at what younger people seem to be searching for: community, authenticity, structure, beauty, identity, and a religion that can stand in contrast to the emptiness of secular life. From there, I get into why some young Catholics are drawn toward traditionalism and the Traditional Latin Mass — not to praise or condemn it as a whole, but to ask what they are finding there that many ordinary Catholic parishes may be failing to signal clearly. What if knowing the Catholic faith isn’t enough? In this Firebrand Brief, TJ Haines argues that Catholics do not merely need more religious information — they need a Catholic mindset. Religious education can teach the facts of the faith, but formation goes deeper: humility, reverence, charity, submission to the Church, and the instinct to listen when Mother Church speaks. This episode pushes back on a common failure in Catholic media: forming Catholics into critics, commentators, and amateur theologians while neglecting the deeper work of forming future saints. A truly Catholic mindset does not mean turning off your brain. It means approaching the Church with the posture of a child toward his mother: attentive, humble, open, and ready to be corrected.Because the devil knows Catholic doctrine better than any of us. The difference is whether the faith has transformed us.Listen for: Catholic mindset vs. Catholic education, faith formation, Catholic media, humility, obedience, reverence, the Church as mother, and why “head knowledge” is not enough.

Catholics, what if everything you thought you knew about the Church, truth, and about reverence was filtered through outrage, half-truths, or borrowed talking points? What if that "world" isn't even real?In this episode, I expose how Catholics get misaligned from Truth — from Protestant conversions to “clown Mass” myths — and show how to reclaim a perspective rooted in reality, apostolic teaching, and the person of Jesus Christ himself. It’s time for a realignment. It’s time to free your mind.Truth isn’t a trend. Truth isn’t a talking point. Truth is God, and it's the substance of reality—and Catholics have a responsibility to see it clearly.🔗 LINKS✅ "Clown Mass?" The Church has the Truth. So why does it sound like it's confused? It's about the signaling, not the messaging. II get into the real reason so many Catholics are drifting toward the TLM, toward radical traditionalism, or away from the faith altogether. It’s not the message. It’s the signaling. When bishops, priests, and commentators speak with hesitation — “well, what we believe as Catholics…” — the world hears timidity. And people don’t follow timidity. They follow whoever signals truth with clarity and confidence, even when what they’re signaling is a lie.I cover the early Church evidence for invoking the saints, the strange story behind the BDSM booth at Germany’s Catholic Congress, the mistake both the left and the right make with the Catechism, the truth about the death penalty “change,” and why Bishop Barron’s approach to evangelization deserves a fair hearing. I close with practical counsel for building a rich Catholic life beyond the Mass — especially for anyone who feels lukewarm, unworthy, or spiritually stuck.🔥 More at https://firebranded.fm — free and paid plans. 100% of support goes directly to the apostolate. Catholics, the storm isn’t coming—it’s already here. I’m talking about traditionalism gone off the rails, bishops making troubling statements, and a culture shaping us in ways Catholics don't noticeIn this episode of Fire Branded, I talk about the “gathering storm”—the subtle but dangerous shifts in Church culture that are forming a subculture of traditionalism, how even well-meaning leaders can mislead, and what this means for all of us. The synod is supposed to be a listening body. Some Catholics have a problematic fixation with Latin in Catholic life. A growing number of Catholics are convinced that Latin isn’t just traditional—it’s more powerful. There there are Catholics are treating Latin like it has special powers—like it makes prayer stronger, holier… even more effective against the demonic. But is that actually true?More effective. More spiritual. Even feared by demons. In this Firebrand Brief, I break down the real problem behind the Latin obsession—and why so many of the arguments defending it don’t hold up.This isn’t about attacking Latin. This is about exposing bad theology, weak arguments, and a mindset that may actually be hurting your prayer life.Because prayer isn’t about sounding holy. It’s about actually connecting with God.And for most of you… that’s not happening in Latin.👉 Full breakdown (and supporting articles) coming soon at firebranded.fmCHAPTERS00:00 Latin Prayer Debate Setup03:25 Why Native Language Hits Home09:25 Debunking Latin Power Claims23:06 Debunking Latin Exorcism Claims26:47 Chat Questions and Prayer Merit32:05 Practical Prayer Tips and Wrap UpCatholic prayer, praying in Latin vs English, Latin Mass debate, Catholic tradition, prayer life Catholic, is Latin more powerful, exorcism Latin myth, Father Chad Ripperger, Father Gabriel Amorth, Catholic theology, Catholicism, Catholic Firebrand (00:00) - Latin Prayer Debate Setup (03:22) - Why Native Language Hits Home (09:23) - Debunking Latin Power Claims (23:04) - Debunking Latin Exorcism Claims (26:45) - Chat Questions and Prayer Merit (32:02) - Practical Prayer Tips and Wrap Up
