As adult children of addicts, many of us learned how to survive long before we learned how to feel safe. Over time, survival patterns can become so familiar that we mistake them for our personality, our identity, or simply “the way we are.”In this guided meditation, we’ll gently slow down and create space to become aware—aware of our thoughts, our emotions, our nervous systems, and the protective patterns we developed in response to childhood trauma and dysfunction. This meditation is not about fixing yourself or judging your experiences. It’s about observing with compassion and recognizing the difference between who you truly are and who survival taught you to be.Together, we’ll explore:🌿 Self-awareness without shame🌿 The impact of childhood trauma on adulthood🌿 Nervous-system awareness🌿 Reconnecting with your inner child🌿 Compassionate healingMay this practice remind you that there is nothing wrong with you. Something happened to you. And awareness is often the first step toward freedom.Take a deep breath, find a comfortable space, and allow yourself to simply notice.🌻 Bloom, FC… you’ve wilted long enough.#FlowerChildThePodcast #AdultChildrenOfAddicts #TraumaHealing #InnerChildHealing #NervousSystemRegulation #HealingJourney #MentalWellness #BreakingTheCycle #SelfAwareness #GuidedMeditation

Season 4 of Flower Child the Podcast is an invitation for adult children of addicts to finally exhale. Flower Child the Podcast was created to serve adult children of addicts and dysfunctional families who are navigating the often unseen impact of childhood trauma in adulthood. Many survivors grow up believing their coping mechanisms are simply “who they are,” unaware that people-pleasing, emotional shutdown, hyper-independence, and fear of abandonment are survival responses formed in childhood. Flower Child exists to gently bring awareness to these patterns—without judgment—and offer pathways toward healing.Hosted by trauma-informed advocate Ke’Onda Washington, the podcast blends lived experience, spiritually-based insight, and nervous-system-safe practices to help listeners reconnect with their authentic selves. Each episode is designed to feel grounding, validating, and accessible, honoring the truth that healing does not happen through force—but through safety. At its heart, Flower Child the Podcast believes this:This is a space for reflection, restoration, and growth.A place to bloom after years of wiliting.Healing doesn’t require reliving the past—only acknowledging it with compassion.

Hey Yall, This episode comes with a warning, especially for the Moms who may be tuning in. In this episode, my friend Kiya and I deep dive into our relationships with our mothers and what needs to occur for the healing to begin. That relationship isn't always the easiest to navigate, while also being a difficult one to talk about. No matter what angle you approach it from. From what I've experienced, it takes great strength and vulnerability to express the depths of your heart, especially about a parent or parent figure. However, I hope that you enjoy it! Take what resonates and let the rest go!! If you would like to be a part of FCTPC, please head over to www. Flowerchildthepodcast.com and let me know what's on your mind. Healing conversations will always be my go-to when addressing complex situations. In the words of toxic rapper Future, "Dress it up and make it real for me!"

Hey beautiful people! We are excited to be back with another open and honest conversation about family and what those relationships look like while on your healing journey. Then, of course, we have another Blooming Black Business #BBB, our very own Aunty Lauren, as she embraces her role as a spiritual director.
