Well, I was just. This. This is more of just a statement in the last. In the last couple of weeks I've been going couple of things. One of which is Judy Garland never owned a car.

Which was what you. What you were saying? A direct from the great Nathan wasn't Nathan Lane funny. These are the Mickey. It was so great. I mean, you guys have had so many great episodes. And to me, so some, it's. It's some of the great ones or when it's just you two guys talking. And. But that Nathan Lane was so funny. And the fact that, the fact that Dana and, and, And Nathan's stories linked up perfectly.

[David Spade]

Yeah.

[Luke Wilson]

And you know that the, the. The Barbara man. Barbara Mandrell. Barbara man. And Nathan. And Nathan Lane saying it. That he kept repeating it as if it was an incantation. Yes, Then, then of course, just, you know, you talked about Mickey Rooney before in that great line of saying. From 1937 to 1944, I was the biggest star in the world.

[David Spade]

Number one star in the world. You hear me? Bang the world. And these are direct. And so Nathan, I hadn't seen a long time. I felt like we were literally. I stepped back to 1981 in New York with him and we. And so we co signed these memories that I told these stories and thought maybe I was a little exaggerating. Nope, it was spot on. The only thing I did disagree with, I thought the woman on the COVID of the magazine. I thought it was Farrah Fawcett. But he remembers Barbara Mandrell, which is funnier. If it's funnier, it's funnier. Yeah, Barbara.

[Luke Wilson]

And you can picture her in 1981 being on the COVID of People. And the other great one was Mickey throwing his arm around. Around Nathan, saying, you know what I like. You know what's great about us? We like girls. Yeah.

[David Spade]

I'm just glad we like girls. These are direct quotes, word for word. I didn't even do that. You've heard my Scatman Carruthers stories. He was another one that we didn't get to. But yeah, he goes, Dana's a little like.

[Luke Wilson]

It's like, you know, and what Dana's saying, like, yeah, back then, you know, he had kind of a floppy haircut and like sometimes would do these imitations where somehow these guys thought that, yeah, it's so funny. Like, I think we talked when I was last on about how, you know, how fun it is to have worked with those older guys. But then Mickey Rooney, that's kind of behind the generation that I ever got to work with. And you got to work with Bert Lancaster and Scatman Crothers. I mean, that's a whole other story.

[David Spade]

And Kirk Douglas. Yeah, Kirk Douglas and Bert. I know, it's kind of weird. Well, since this is about you, I mean, I'm trying to just ascertain the. Where You've cross checked older actors and you're working with them and going, holy, I'm working with X, Y and Z, as they say. You must add. You must have all those stories. You have such a long resume, for sure.

[Luke Wilson]

And I mean, those are my. The kind of. The. Really. Along with working with people from snl, which I've always loved, it's getting the chance to work with those kind of. I always look at them as like 1970s actors, even though some of them got started kind of well before that. But, you know, like Gene Hackman or. Yeah, Gene Hackman or Nick Nolte or Morton Sheen. And those guys are just so great. And like Mickey Rooney, their stories somehow are just unbelievable.

[Dana Carvey]

Yeah.

[Luke Wilson]

Or not unbelievable. They're very believable, but you can't believe how great they are.

[Dana Carvey]

But they're referencing all these cool things, you remember. Yeah.

[Luke Wilson]

It's really cool that you got to work.

[David Spade]

Jesus, Richie. Well, and also on snl, sorry, it was just. We had Robert Mitchum and we had Charlton Heston as a. As a host, and that was very interesting on snl, hanging out with those guys. Yeah, right.

How. How was, how was Robert Mitchum as a host?

[David Spade]

You mean Bob.

[Luke Wilson]

Bob. Yeah.

[David Spade]

He had the classic Jack Daniels bottle. I got a half gallon of Jack Daniels. And he was just. Stories about Vietnam and politics and weirdness. And we were in a Jack Handy sketch, if you know the reference sometimes they' very esoteric and brilliant. We were playing beekeepers in the Himalaya Mountains, and we're dressed in the outfit and neither of us ever really knew what the sketch was about, but he was, he was old school.

[Luke Wilson]

Yeah, yeah, I remember Ask. I. I knew. I knew Harry Dean Stanton, the great character actor. And I knew Harry Dean, knew Robert Mitchum. And I said, what was. I asked Harry Dean, I said, what was Robert Mitchum like? He said, great guy, always stoned.

[Dana Carvey]

Oh, really?

[Luke Wilson]

That's how it described Mitchell.

[David Spade]

And yeah, he liked his. His Jack, but it's. Harry Dean said he liked a couple cocktails.

[Dana Carvey]

Right.

[David Spade]

I mean, that was old school back then. They had a bar on every set.

[Dana Carvey]

Everyone was drunk.

[Luke Wilson]

He was a. He was a Dantana's fixture. Harry Dean.

[Dana Carvey]

Oh, yeah.

I remember being on a plane with Harry Dean and this would have been like 2001. And he asked the stewardess, you know, can I smoke on the plane? She said, no, you may not. And then he said, even in the bathroom. So, yeah, those guys were from another era.

Here's trivia, Luke, that I. The first girl that dated Me in la, when I moved out here, wound up with Harry Dean. Stan.

Yeah, it was back. Always. I'm Dana now. It was just back then, you know.

I. Yeah, it's funny. Luca Plakia. And I'd never seen that movie. And then in like, you know, you know, like eighth grade, people started saying Luca Plakia. And I didn't get that.

I was called Lucas because I was such a little puss. And I went out for football and I was fragile and I couldn't get the girls. I'm like, put me in that movie. Lucas was a great movie.

[Luke Wilson]

A football, I'm sure was rather intense. Like kind of Texas football.

[Dana Carvey]

Arizona. Yeah. Yeah.

[David Spade]

People don't know. We must talk about last time. But you have an enormous VO2 max gift, which is unusual. When you told me your 880 time, I was like, damn, that's national class. VO2 max is. You know, this. So that's it. What I'm curious about with someone like you, because Luke is an alpha male name, like a stud, right? So in high school, neither David and I, we could not really get girls. Were you popular in high school? Were you a late bloomer?

[Dana Carvey]

Yes, yes.

[Luke Wilson]

I. Well, I went to this school that. I went to this. No, I went to this school that was very academically oriented no, there was a military school. Owen went.

[David Spade]

That was a military school.

[Dana Carvey]

Yeah.

[Luke Wilson]

But I went to a boys school that was very academically oriented and I did not have good grades, so things were more kind of oriented towards honor roll. And you know, this guy was, already had a scholarship to Princeton and, But I did have, I had a really nice class and I really liked everybody and got along with everybody, and so I, you know, it's like when you say popular, you think of like the, the homecoming king, but I just feel like I had a nice class where I got along with people and not that, you know, you never had differences with guys, but. Yeah.

[David Spade]

Kevin Costner graduated high school, graduated high school at 5:1, then went to 6:1. How tall were you when you graduated high school? You don't have to answer these questions.

[Luke Wilson]

Are there any doctors in that city or.

No, he was not even in Louisville. I don't think he was kind of out more kind of in a rural area.

But he got his appendix and of course he was staying in, you know, like a, you know, an extended state suite. So not where you want to convalesce, but his appendix, he, that he got hit with that had to get operated on for that. Then he got an infection and of course he was making these Instagram videos.

All about the illness, but, but we did get the movie done. We had a good time and.

And he was, I mean, to me, I, I only know him from having done the ridiculous six with Adam Sandler. And I just, that was when I first. Just. I know, I know. What did Swartzen do?

But. But I'll never forget, as David walked up with the mater d. David was saying, ah, this place is bigger than Chili's.

It was. It was like five Chili's taped together. They had Luke. They go, we'll take care of you guys. They put us, like, in a barn 100 yards away from the restaurant. I go, I don't think no one's working in this place. They. They just sent a guy in and sent a bartender in there for us. We're like, I kind of want to get a feel for the whole place.

I know. It's like that thing where I'm sure you guys have had it happen before, where they say, well, we'll put you in a special room. And it's. And they lead you to a room where it's just you and your two friends. Be like, well, we. We would like to kind of be maybe out in the bar.

You know why? Because someone.

And especially, like, Fort Worth is a great town. And that. That is a. That's my favorite, you know, Mexican food in Texas, pretty much. This is usually the point in the show when. But I. I was down in San Diego, and I was. I was at this gym, and I'd stopped using those earbuds because I felt like they were kind of giving me tinnitus. And at the. At the, you know, gym I'll go to in la, I just play it off my phone with no earbuds because, you know, there's that music, black, terrible music blasting. Everyone. Everyone else has on earbuds. So I. Yeah, exactly. So. So I just listen to it. No one ever says anything. I just have it on loud, and I'll be, you know, on the elliptical. But I'm down in this gym in San Diego where it was kind of older people older than me, and, you know, same thing. I had it playing, you know, just off my phone with no earbuds. And finally this older guy next to me was like, would you turn that off? I was listening to you guys, and he said, would you turn that off? And I said. I said, oh, my gosh. I said, I'm really sorry. I didn't realize you could hear. It's like I could hear it. He said, would you turn that off?

I said, I'm really sorry. And then he said, it's obnoxious. And I wanted to say me doing that or the guys on the show.

And then there was a Joe Dirt in there too, I think. And we made them and a Tannen Bomb. They go, dad, do you know. Do you know. Look, Wilson is.

He's digging.

I go, should I film these guys fighting? Because then I can get on tick tock and be a big hero, you know, because I always see fights. Everything I see on my TikTok is just fighting. So I start filming. Then the dude looks at me and I go, I don't know what to do, so I. I walk away. Then he runs and punches the dude and then throws him on the ground. And the guy gets up and throws them at him. And I'm like, should have filmed it. But anyway, then I walk down, blah, blah, blah. And then I guess I'm almost. My car, he's walking this way. He comes right at me. And I was like. Because I know I'm the little rat that was filming him, and I have the evidence, right?

And this was just another Monday on the way here.

And then he threw him down. And then the guy got him again. He beat the. And he finds out the guy's a hockey enforcer. He's a real hockey player that beats guys up. He threw him around like a rag doll. And the guy kept coming back. And I'm like, do you have ct? Why do you keep coming back to get beat up again? Now you have. You're out. You're out of gas, and you still gotta go. Come on, you. And then again, wham.

Yeah, that's like, whenever you see those flyweight boxers and you think, okay, if you put kind of like an oversized T shirt on one of these guys, they might just look like a little guy. But I do feel like I have a good radar for someone that's just kind of a badass look for those cauliflower ears.

What does your YouTube feed you, Luke, at night? And you're just, I'll go some YouTube clips. It starts feeding you, obviously. Golf, Golfers getting beat up. What's in your rotation?

[Luke Wilson]

I'm always shocked by how on the money it is or something. I haven't thought of that. I'm like, gosh, I cannot wait to watch this. A lot of it will be, you know, I got into a real, like, John Houston interviews phase. And then also I like, like, like Mitchum on Dick Cavett kind of things like, you know, rock. Get a lot of rock and roll.

I do get old clips from, like, Midnight Special of bands.

[Luke Wilson]

Those are great. And the Don Kirschner show, and. And then there's a great one, like a European one called Rock Plast with this kind of funny, bearded host. But it's, you know, it'll be like the rolling stones in 1972. But that's kind of. Kind of what I get the. The most, it seems. I. I like that. But, yeah, I'm always. YouTube is great. Just anything you're interested in, you can look it up and. But yeah, it's always fun to see those great old, you know, in those interviews where, you know, they're not bombing through the interview like they do now on talk shows. They were just so much more conversational.

Yeah, Dick Cavett was like, I get

a lot of old Carsons.

Yeah, the old Carsons are just great. And like, I went through where I. I think I watched every Bob Newhart and Johnny interview. And those are so unbelievable. Like, them making each other laugh. And it's also so conversational, but there's just. You don't feel that vibe of, okay, you know, this story, then that story, and this story, then an ice bucket. Ice bucket challenge.

And I don't even know if it's planned. Like, I mean, nowadays, I never knew that you have to sort of give them an idea of what you're gonna say and tell them stories ahead of time, and they Go. We like those stories. I. Back then it really felt like. I don't know if it was planned or not, but. Because it would have dead spots, which was fine. You know, they would just talk and then we wouldn't have a good answer and then be silent.

And I said, you know what? Fuck you. And they cut that part. No, I just.

getting stuck in an elevator, because that's my biggest fear.

I and James L. Brooks had gone to the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and sciences for a 30th anniversary screening of Bottle Rocket.

And, and it was, you know, we went and got to walk around the museum a little bit, which is really cool. I'd not been in there. And then we had. And then we did a nice talk before. I say nice talk because it was great to do it instead of a Q and A after. But we did a talk before, and Wes was great and really funny on stage and James L. Brooks is always really interesting and thoughtful. And then when we finished that, we were going to go to dinner and for some reason, you know, we were only one floor up, but they put us on this elevator and it was, you know, 11 people, and the thing just stopped. And I'd not been on. I'd not been on an elevator that fully stopped and gotten stuck. And I had on a sport coat and a tie and about, you know, 10 minutes in, I take off the tie and then at about 20 minutes in, took off the jacket and, you know, could not get out. And eventually kind of pride the doors open, you know, that much to get a little air. And then you had to eat.

Did you have light? Was it, was it dark or.

It was, it was, it was date. It was daytime. And then they did have to call the, the LA Fire Department and, and looked out, you know, got the doors apart and saw those guys walking. And they, they, we. We didn't feel that they were walking with the urgency that we would have hoped for. But still I, I said, hey, at least we're going to get to see some hunky LF LA Fire Department guys. But they did get us out. But it was over. It was over a half an hour. And it was, it was definitely, you know, I'm not at. Not claustrophobic. But did start to think, you know, okay, you know, what would happen if there was a fire or an earthquake or something bad and we're in a metal box.

I'm just so, I'm very curious about Wes Anderson because he doesn't do a lot of interviews and in that situation was his creative mind going like, is he going to put that in a movie or something? Or he seems. His movies are so singular.

Wes, you know, Wes was really funny on it because Wes got on the intercom to maintenance and had this. I wish I could remember what he was saying. And then, and then at one point through the doors to the LA Fire department, you know, Wes said, would you just at least give us an update? Are you making progress? And the guy was like, sir, we're doing what we can to get you out of there when we can get you out of there. And he cut and he kind of gave Wes a bit of a brush back ditch, which Wes took in good stride. But Wes was I, James L. Brooks at the beginning was very quiet and I thought, gosh, I hope he's not claustrophobic. And then he got very funny and started filming it. I was, I, I, I felt like I was getting kind of a little more starting to think, you know, getting a little more concerned as the time went on. And it was airless, you know, to feel that airless feeling where you get that sheen of sweat on you and then, yeah, just thinking. And when you look through the little.

When you could get the door open, it was, it was a. Metal bars are great. You know, it wasn't just an open floor where you just thought, okay, if they pry these open, we can at least jump out or crawl out. And then, oh, you're still in a cage. The other side was this thick, you know, museum glass.

I had a stuck elevator story, if you want to hear that.

My wife and I and Arnold Schwarzenegger are In an elevator.

It stops and everybody's kind of quiet. It just stops. And we're just sort of waiting, waiting, waiting. And then it lurches a little bit. And then Arnold, two minutes of silence just goes, yeah, now it's getting interesting, you know. But he was like the Terminator. He was like, don't worry, I know how to do things in these situations. They're going to come in a minute. But this is a very interesting situation with the elevator supposed to go up and the doors are supposed to open, but was stuck in the darkness. I go, thanks for explaining that whole thing. No problem. Let me light a cigar and I'll tell you more.

But most of that story was true until I went off on a flight of fancy. But yeah, this is getting very interesting. He was very cool.

Doesn't come out, like, for a year. And they go, where you been? One guy goes, got the big question is, got any movies? When I get nervous, they don't know what to say. Got any movies coming out? I go, like. I remember someone asked me during the wrong Missy. I go, oh, yeah, the wrong missy on Netflix. They go, oh, I didn't see that. Got any other ones? Well, how many do I fucking need? It takes a year to shoot, a year to come out.

[Luke Wilson]

When was kidding around with Will Ferrell about that, where he said he'd had a guy say, like, so are you still making movies? And I said, and Will said, yeah, I just had a movie come out maybe like four months ago where I'd missed a flight up at Mammoth, and it was like, snowy day. The flights are only two days. I got the day wrong. And this kid working in the airport said, hey, man, when are you gonna make a comeback?

[Dana Carvey]

Oh, yeah, come back.

[Luke Wilson]

And I said, well, I. You know, you're already really down because you've just missed a fl. And I said, well, I got to get back to L. A. To get this comeback started, so probably going to be at least. At least two days before I start the old comeback, but thank you.

He's like, get back on that audition circuit.

[David Spade]

I remember being at an event, first few months, snl, afi, Kirk Douglas thing. Jimmy Stewart's over there, and we're around this table. I remember people, he's 82, he's Jimmy Stewart. Jimmy fucking Stewart. And they're saying, yeah, he's not working much lately. And I thought, you cannot win the game of show business. If Jimmy Stewart can't win it, what chance do I have? Yeah, he's not really fucking, you know,

[Luke Wilson]

Anyway, even, you know, when those kind of old actors just kind of stop working in a dignified way, they kind of do that, whether it's like Gene Hackman or. They kind of say it about Jack Nicholson now, like, oh, well, you know, Jack, he's not working anymore. It's like, yeah, well, he's 86, probably.

[David Spade]

He has 40 classic movies and three Oscars. Does that count for something?

[Luke Wilson]

Right? So he's probably enjoying just sitting around with his art.

You know, what a good move is.

And this is what I'll do, is when I see someone that has been working for a while, what a strategy is. A real strategy is they announce their retirement. They go, they're just not that many parts. And so you never really have to do that because you sort of get forced into retirement from show business. But if you say that it's your last swing of people going, you know what? They'd be good for this because you're in the paper again one last time to announce a retirement newspaper. And they go, oh, okay, well, maybe we should. Right?

[Luke Wilson]

It always seems to be guys like Russell Crowe or Daniel Day Lewis where I, you know, Steve Morton had that great line where he said, you're. You're out of the business for five years. Before you know it,

[David Spade]

no one gave you the memo. Yeah. Do they mention your brother to you a lot and try to contrast and compare or anything like that?

[Luke Wilson]

Oh, yeah. They always and always get. And of course, now we both have golf shows, so bring up. You know, bring that up. But, yeah, people. That's another thing. People always want to kind of like, are you guys competitive? And say, no, you, you, you, you. It's kind of like we're on the same team where you want the other person to do well, you know, we're not. We're not. We're not. We're not the Everly Brothers. We're not feuding. We actually get along very well.

Just very well. And we are in the business firmly and doing work. And

I love 2001 Space Odyssey. As far as Redford in the. In the 70s. Some people don't like it, but I just look at. I look at Three Days of the Condor the Way We Were. I look at all the President's Men. I mean, his run in there, all the way to the Natural and then the horse whisper. Whatever. He's like, underrated or something, but his charisma. Especially Three Days the Condor with Faye Dunaway. And one of the greatest acting moments when she says goodbye to him at the subway station and he goes, just don't call any. I just need five minutes. And the hurt on her face is like as good as it gets. You know, it's like James and the China Syndrome, you know, the China Syndrome was unreal.

Yeah, I think he, like, you know, I've been, I've gone to London with him and he's been like, we got to go over to, to Dave's house. I got to get my bike. And I'll be like, you. You keep a bike in London? Same thing in Paris. Like, you have to go to Hobby's house. That might. I got to get my bike. You have a bike in Paris as well?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I found out with him a little bit. He once said, you know, hey, you want to go to Argentina and surf? I guess so. I'm thinking of going to Gelson's in a few minutes, but.

Well, the only reason I bring up the artist thing is because I don't know if you heard this, but I was hanging out with Christopher Walken a while back about a year ago, and I said, do you paint? And he just said, of course. All old actors paint. Like, it's. Of course you paint at a given point, but you're too young.

[Luke Wilson]

No, I haven't taken it up. But I mean, it is one of those things where I just always appreciate when, you know, anybody has, you know, I don't fly fish, but I know those guys that do, where you just.

[David Spade]

Yeah.

[Luke Wilson]

You know, you just appreciate having something where you can kind of lose yourself for a few, for a few hours. Yeah, but it's like meditation. Does this take us to buzzing around? No, I. Okay. Another thing, one of my favorite things was when you guys were on Bill Maher recently and, and you could. It was. I, I. Club Random is great. Is great as well, where he interviews people and, you know. Yeah, he smokes and he drinks on it. You guys did seem to be his favorite guests. And, and, but it was funny at the end, you know, where he seemed kind of high and had a good buzz. He was like, I can sit here and talk to you guys for two more hours. And David said, I gotta get to a dinner.

[David Spade]

I had a hard out. I know I would have gone longer, but yeah.

And he was serious. But I was like, that. That would be a great way to leave a talk show. Like, I actually gotta Hit it. Thanks for having me. That had me laughing as much as

anything because then he got really hurt. He goes, well. And I go, dana can stay. I don't give a.

No. My wife happened to be in. I had to meet her. And you know, it just. What happens is with these monolithic. These comedians like Larry David and Bill Maher, they just love old timey impressions in illicit circumstances, like.

They laugh forever. I mean, it's crazy how much they love that. So I love to do it for him, you know, and he's a good laughter.

No kidding. He seemed to enjoy you guys more than any other guests I've ever seen on there There. Even though I did notice David was a little more quiet than Dana and reserved during that show. Bill was trying to kind of talk about, you know, you know, being single and still.

Nine weeks of nights for these guys on top of it being not well received.

I mean, I. I just did two. I cannot believe you didn't make you feel like you. Like you've lost your mind. I And, you know, being older makes it so much harder. I think. I think I did. I think I did a. Of nights, you know, when I was like 28 or something. And, you know, you just. Yeah.

[Dana Carvey]

You're so lost, dude. No one. You get home, people are going to bed.

[Luke Wilson]

You're right.

[Dana Carvey]

Going to work.

[David Spade]

Doesn't. Right.

[Dana Carvey]

It's so weird. I mean, I've got some nights coming up. Usually if I'm part of the writing, we troubleshoot the script for nights we go. This is taking a bar in a night. It could be in the day or not.

[David Spade]

Could anything be in the day?

[Dana Carvey]

And it still makes sense.

[Luke Wilson]

Right.

[Dana Carvey]

Like, it doesn't need to be night.

[David Spade]

Yeah.

[Dana Carvey]

Okay.

[Luke Wilson]

It makes a big difference. And everyone's out of it.

[David Spade]

Yeah.

[Luke Wilson]

People get. People get loopy and you know that then it does. Yeah, it's. Then you get home and it's. It's a very odd feeling. Unsettling to me almost. When you're trying to go to bed and that. Yeah, exactly.

[David Spade]

Just for. Just for a second ago. I mean, I remember telling John Voigt, who's hanging out in New York for a while when I was doing SNL and got to know him and was talking about Coming Home and. And the Champ and Sorry, John Void and Deliverance and stuff. And the only thing he said was, you know, we worked really hard on those movies. Really hard.

[Luke Wilson]

Yeah.

[David Spade]

So he didn't. He didn't disown them or go, yeah, it was pretty good. But Deliverance is one of those movies hard to watch in a way because. But it's. You know. And that guy who, who had his way with. Who's the actor, Ned Beatty. He was at it. He was at a gym I used to go to in LA for a while.

[Dana Carvey]

And he would do that to you?

[David Spade]

No, he tried, but. No, but he said that. Had a problem with it. I thought it was fine, but he had a problem with it, you know,

[Dana Carvey]

I'm sure he did.

[David Spade]

Yeah.

[Dana Carvey]

That's something like, hey, we just wrote this at Video Village. Ned, we're gonna throw something at you. Let's try.

[David Spade]

Well, Gilbert Godfrey had that great bit where they're trying to get Ned Beatty out of the trailer to shoot the dad. Ned, we're ready on set.

[Luke Wilson]

Ned.

[David Spade]

So anyway, if you don't know the movie, look it up, kids.

[Luke Wilson]

It's great. John Boorman, I think, from that. And it was a good memory from it. From a James Dickey. The. The book is great. Lewis. Remember that name? Lewis.

[David Spade]

Lewis, yeah, yeah. And of course, Burt Reynolds. In that was so awesome. Yeah.

[Luke Wilson]

Remember the, what you were saying about coming home and it being hard work? Because I do remember, you know, John Voight reading that he spent a lot of times with. Excuse me. A lot of time with Vietnam vets and that great speech he gives to the high school. I think a lot of that he kind of made up and was, it was kind of unscripted. And that's, that's another one of those Hal Ashby classics like you mentioned, ones you can watch over and over, like the Last Detail and. Yeah, but I don't mean to keep. No, I, I don't, I don't mean to keep you guys. I, I feel like Bill Moore. I could talk to you guys.

[Dana Carvey]

I got a dinner.

[Luke Wilson]

That's when David, David says, I have a lunch actually, down at Craig's. Well, it can't be at Craig's. Craig's just an open till five. You gotta lose.

[Dana Carvey]

I gotta get there and get in line.

[David Spade]

Just to make your public, the publicity department happy.

[Dana Carvey]

This is the longest we've ever done.

[David Spade]

When does Hawk come out? And platform just, just make.

[Luke Wilson]

Hawk comes out July 16th on Netflix and it's 10 episodes and it stars Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon.

[David Spade]

Fortune.

Fortune. Fortune. Who's great and she's awesome. And Jimmy is in it. He's incredible.

[David Spade]

Chris Parnell.

[Luke Wilson]

That's what I was gonna say. Chris Parnell's in it. But yeah, it's, it actually, it's, it's very funny. And Will is great and I know you guys are fans of his, so.

Oh, yeah, he's.

[Luke Wilson]

People definitely get a kick out of it. But I really appreciate you guys. I really appreciate you guys taking the time because the show is great. And I, I mean, like I was saying, I, I, I love it when, when it's just you guys talking. Sometimes even more than, than a guess. Although there was, there was one time when, when I just remember tuning in and Dana said, Dana said to David, you, you got pink eye. And I was like, this is what I feel like. These guys, it's, it's, it's not just about Hollywood and snl. It's like hanging out with friends when you were, you know, in high school or eighth grade.

[David Spade]

Well, we do, we do forget that we're kind of in kind of. This is the new broadcasting that we're actually sort of on new television. So you got pink eye. I'm gonna make a T shirt out of that. Yeah, I do remember that. David never gets defensive. It's like ping pong. Anything I throw at David. He just millisecond. He goes right back, right back at it.

[Dana Carvey]

Always funny to hear Dana say something. We just keep going. Thank you, though. That's very nice.

[David Spade]

You made my, you made my day. You really like Clint Eastwood in that movie because you're an actually listened to this and actually kind of like it. So we have, we don't get a lot of feedback. So that's very nice.

[Luke Wilson]

I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I don't miss them. I really don't miss an episode. So, so thank you guys and good dude.
