Have you ever felt like you’re missing something — like there’s a layer to your faith you’ve heard about but never quite experienced for yourself? What if the answer had been hidden in plain sight for thousands of years? In this episode, we explore the ancient Festival of First Fruits — a Jewish harvest celebration most Christians have never heard of — and discover how God quietly embedded the story of the resurrection and the arrival of Pentecost into an Old Testament celebration centuries before either event ever happened. From the fields of Leviticus to the upper room in Acts 2, the patterns God put in place are breathtaking, and the implications for how we live today are real. This message isn’t just history — it’s an invitation to know the One who wrote it, and to walk more closely with the Holy Spirit who lives inside every believer. The same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is in you. That changes everything. Connect with us online at FocusChurch.com. You've been given something — and chances are, you're not fully using it. Not because you're lazy or indifferent, but because no one has really explained what it is or why it matters. In this episode, Pastor Todd opens up one of the most practically important passages in the New Testament — 1 Corinthians 12. He walks through the nine spiritual gifts that every believer has access to, not as a theological exercise, but as a real conversation about why God gave them to you in the first place. It's not for you. It's for the people around you. And when you hold back, the body of Christ misses out on what God specifically designed you to carry. If you've ever wondered why you have spiritual gifts — or whether you even have one — this message will give you a clear, encouraging answer and help you start operating in what God has already placed inside of you. You’ve seen the influencers. You’ve probably followed a few of them. But when you trace back the moments that actually changed who you are — the ones that stuck — chances are they don’t have a follower count or a sponsored post. In this week’s message, we go back to the story of Timothy — a young leader in the early church whose life became a case study in what faithful, everyday influence can do across generations. His mother. His grandmother. A home where the Scriptures were handed down like the most important inheritance a family could leave. And the ripple of that didn’t just touch one life — it reached across the known world. The real influencer in your life may not be who you think. And the influence you carry may be bigger than you’ve ever imagined. Connect with us online at FocusChurch.com. Discover how your relationship with God evolves from a dedicated bondservant to a true friend of the Bridegroom. This message explores the biblical journey of identity found in the story of Abraham's servant in Genesis 24 and the life-changing words of Jesus in John 15. This message explores the profound shift in how believers relate to the Father, moving through the biblical concepts of the bondservant, special attendant, and friend. Starting with the journey of Eleazar of Damascus in Genesis 24, we see a model of a faithful servant who was trusted with the mission of finding a bride for his master’s son. However, the New Testament reveals a higher calling. While King David and even Jesus are described as special servants, Jesus invites His followers into an even more intimate role. As friends of the Bridegroom, we are no longer outsiders looking in; we are chosen participants in God’s mission to bring others into His kingdom. This study will help you understand your unique place in the Kingdom of God and empower you to walk in the love and fruitfulness that Jesus has appointed for your life. Have you ever felt like you’re doing all the right things but still can’t shake the feeling that you don’t know what you’re actually supposed to do with your life? Like you’re moving, but not really going anywhere? That quiet ache about purpose in life is one of the most persistent struggles believers face — and it deserves a real answer. In this message, Pastor Todd opens up the Great Commission in a way you may not have heard before. The word Jesus used for “make disciples” isn’t casual — it carries the weight of training someone to adopt an entire way of living. Through the story of Elijah and Elisha and the explosion of the early church in Acts, something comes into focus: your purpose isn’t waiting for you somewhere out in the future. It’s woven into every conversation, every workday, every ordinary moment you already walk through. The point of clarity you’ve been looking for might be simpler — and closer — than you think. What if the key to your future was written thousands of years ago by a fugitive king — and you've been reading it backward this whole time? This Resurrection Sunday message, "Looking Ahead to the Future, Not Behind," from Pastor Todd, takes you on a journey from David on the run from King Saul, to the empty tomb, to a crown of righteousness that God has already set aside with your name on it. This is not a message about what you've been through — it's a message about where you're going. Pastor Todd opens in 1 Samuel 27, where David — exhausted, hunted, and desperate — flees to the land of the Philistines just to catch a breath. But even there, without real peace, David writes one of his most prophetic Psalms. Psalm 16, one of the Miktams or Golden Poems, was penned in a moment of crisis, yet its words stretched far beyond David's own life — straight into the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Apostle Peter quotes it on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2, showing that David was looking ahead through the Holy Spirit to the One who would not decay in the ground. The theme of looking ahead runs through this entire message. From the angels at the tomb asking, "Why do you seek the living among the dead?" to Paul's declaration in Philippians 3 about pressing on and winning the prize, to Hebrews 12 calling us to run the race with our eyes fixed on Jesus — every scripture points in one direction: forward. This message will challenge you to stop letting your past drive your present and start living with purpose and intentionality toward the future God has prepared for you. Whether you feel like you've been running just like David — tired, weary, wondering if God even sees you — this message is for you. You have a future in Jesus. The resurrection is not just something that happened 2,000 years ago. It is the reason you can move on, press on, and look ahead with genuine hope. You are not defined by what's behind you. You are called forward into what God has next. If this message encouraged you, please like, share, and subscribe so you don't miss a weekly message from Focus Church. We are a fully online church streaming live on Facebook every Sunday at 10am CST. You can find us online at focuschurch.com. There is a future and a hope waiting for you — let's look ahead together.

What would it look like if you missed the most important moment of your life without even realizing it? In this Palm Sunday message, Pastor Todd gets honest about nearly missing one of the most significant days on the church calendar and of the faith — and how that near-miss became a powerful reminder of something far more serious: the danger of missing God. Walking in the Holy Spirit isn't just a theological concept — it's the difference between drifting through life spiritually numb and experiencing the fullness of everything God has for you. This message takes a deep look at Jeremiah chapter 6, where God repeatedly warned His people through prophets, watchmen, and His Word — and they refused to listen. The result wasn't just inconvenience; it was the destruction of Jerusalem and the loss of God's presence among them. But this sermon doesn't stop in the Old Testament. Pastor Todd connects those ancient patterns to the life of Jesus in Luke 19, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem because the people missed their day of visitation — the moment God showed up and they didn't recognize it. It's a sobering mirror for anyone living busy, distracted, and spiritually scattered. Considering the jump from Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday without stopping at the cross — this message is a heartfelt call to slow down, tune in to the Holy Spirit, and stop missing God. Walking in the Holy Spirit means staying sensitive to His voice, staying close to His presence, and letting Him direct your steps every single day. Whether you feel far from God right now or just want to go deeper in your walk with Him, this Palm Sunday sermon will challenge and encourage you. Don't miss what God is doing in your life. This could be your day of visitation. Subscribe, share this message with someone who needs to hear it, and join us every Sunday at 10am CST on Facebook Live at Focus Church. Most believers miss out on living the life God wants for them because they don't live by one of the most foundational truths - They need to live in the Fear of the Lord! In this message, Pastor Todd dives deep into what it truly means to live in the fear of the Lord — not cowering in terror, but walking in reverence, awe, and holiness before God. If you've ever wondered why your faith feels shallow or disconnected, this message on the foundational principle of fearing God will open your eyes. Drawing from Psalm 111:10 — "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" — Pastor Todd unpacks why living in the fear of the Lord is not the starting line of the Christian life but the very foundation it is built on. You'll hear why holiness and being set apart aren't old-fashioned religious concepts but living, breathing keys to experiencing God's best in your everyday life. Through real-life stories, Old and New Testament examples, and a raw look at what happens when God's people lose their reverence, this message will challenge you to examine your own heart. Whether you're brand new to faith or you've been walking with Jesus for decades, the call to live set apart and in genuine reverence before God is one you cannot afford to ignore.
