Laura Lee
Oh, hell no. I said, you know what? We live to fight another day.
Manny Emmy
Yes, we live to fight another day.
Laura Lee
You'd be a fool. Set a bag on the ground. This was the most organized McDonald's I've ever seen in my life. We are not used to the service in America.
Manny Emmy
Wow. It's literally Disney in a mall farm.
Laura Lee
Welcome to your favorite podcast. It's full coverage with your host, Laura.
Manny Emmy
Lee and Manny Emmy way.
Laura Lee
Hell, yeah.
Manny Emmy
We're back.
Laura Lee
You favorite duo just got back from Dubai. Be sickening in the Middle East.
Manny Emmy
I love that set as being sickening in the Middle East.
Laura Lee
Well, that's what we did.
Manny Emmy
I mean, that's what we were.
Laura Lee
I think it's so cool that everyone loves us as a duo and we got invited to the Middle east as a duo.
Manny Emmy
As a duo.
Laura Lee
To hang out with Huda Beauty. It was such a cool trip. It was so sickening. So for our peaks and pit today, we want to talk a little bit about that trip to give you guys the tea on what it was.
Manny Emmy
Oh, my God. And of course, today we're doing rapid fire. We have just a bunch of different little topics. We haven't done rapid fire in, like, a second, so it's like, there's a lot of shit that's accumulated over this time.
Laura Lee
We.
Manny Emmy
A lot of tea.
Laura Lee
We have a lot of tea today to discuss.
Manny Emmy
But, you guys, Dubai, I will say, first and foremost, incredible and hot. Oh.
Laura Lee
They were all like, it's so cool here. Now.
Manny Emmy
The gag was what? The gag was like, oh, my God. Like, it's cooling down, you guys now. And I'm not kidding, you guys, I've never felt you like that. And, like, I don't think any place I've ever been. No, because it was like. It was. It was beyond to me. I walked out. When we first walked out of the airport, I was literally, like, taken aback, honestly, by walking into a furnace. It felt like I was walking to a furnace.
Laura Lee
It was really hot. But I will say, it was so beautiful and clean, and we just had the best time. So Hudo Beauty had invited us there for their duo games. They didn't necessarily invite infamous duos, but they definitely invited me and Manny for that, you know, for that. And then they had paired other influencers together, which was totally so cute. And on the first day, I think we filmed content with Huda and hang out with Huda a little bit, which. She's the sweetest. Me and me.
Manny Emmy
She's an angel.
Laura Lee
Love her to death. She's amazing. We hope to get her on the podcast. Eventually. We actually talked to her a little bit about that. Whenever we were there, we were like, you know, we gotta get you on full coverage. She was so down and it was so funny. We were wanting to extend our trip to get an episode film with her. And she was like, it's my birthday.
Manny Emmy
No, literally there. She's like, oh, there's it. My birthday's on Thursday. And we're like, we can't ask you to film with us on your birthday.
Laura Lee
I would never film on her birthday.
Manny Emmy
Yeah. I was like, there's no way.
Laura Lee
But so we were like, you know what? We'll figure out a way to Skype you in to time you in to get you in. Because we want Huda Beauty on the podcast.
Manny Emmy
Yes. And she's amazing and she's incredible. So I would love her to share her story with you guys.
Laura Lee
So we. First day we filmed content and hung out with her. Second day, they gave us a free day. And can me and Manny just say that, like, when a brand does something like this, brands think that we're like bored. They seemed like 2 year olds that we got to keep them entertained at all time. And I'm like, that's exactly what we don't want. Like on a branch of. Because you're experiencing a new place. Like, we went to the Cayman Islands in January. We'd never been there before. You're experiencing a new place. So like anyone on a trip, you'd want a little time to explore and just see the place and have that time to do what you want there. Which they knew because Huda Beauty does trips all the time out to Dubai. And they always give people a full free day and a car to go do whatever you want. And they had the world, world's biggest mall. And me and Manny Black, we had.
Manny Emmy
Took you guys, we had to go to the world's biggest mall. It was in. I honestly got lost multiple times.
Laura Lee
It's too big.
Manny Emmy
It's honestly too. It's like two past.
Laura Lee
Like, because the thing is, if you. If you're like shopping designer, but then you're like, I want to go buy Sephora. You have a 20 minute walk.
Manny Emmy
Yeah. Huh.
Laura Lee
Like you're gonna be tied to Disneyland.
Manny Emmy
It's literally Disney in a mall farm. And you know what's crazy? I was telling my friend, I was like, yeah, I went to the World's Awesome Martin Dubai. He's like, did you go to the aquarium in it? And I'm like, I didn't know there was an Aquarium. I did not see that there was an aquarium. He goes, you go to the aquarium. You can actually ride a boat around the mall.
Laura Lee
Do you see what I do? There's a theme park in the mall. There's an ice rink in the mall. Like, it is by, like, I guess, land. Like, the amount of land they took. It is the biggest mall in the world. And I will say, I had so much fun there.
Manny Emmy
Oh, so sick.
Laura Lee
But me and Manny were both, like, zooted by the after.
Manny Emmy
Literally. I almost had. What's it called? We have, like, choice fatigue, almost, where it's like, there's just so many options, so many things to do that I'm almost like, I'm exhausted just thinking so much of, like, okay, where do we go? What do we do? Like, how's this work? It was just so much happening. But it was beautiful. Like, honestly, you guys, like, what was really cool about Dubai, too, is that it's just very clean, and they, like, there's attendance for everything. There's, like, people that are gonna be there for you. Like, in the bathroom, when I went, this is something that shocked me. So I've never experienced something like this. I went to the bathroom. There's, like, an attendant. And I'm used to actually having, like, bathroom attendants here in la. Like, there is attendance here. There are, but I'm not kidding you. Like, the second someone peed in a urinal, that attendant would go clean around it, make sure everything was looks presentable, and then, like, it would move on. So it was constantly just, like, clean, clean. When we were eating at the food court, like, I was like, where do we throw our trash away? There's no trashes. The second we were done, someone miraculously appeared, disappears. Appear.
Laura Lee
Me and Manny were like, you know, at the food court mall, you find the little trash can area, you dump your tray, and you put your tray on top of the trash can. But me and man were like, we cannot buy trash. Where's the damn trash? And as soon as, like, we put our napkins and stuff on our tray, a man just appeared out of thin air and just grabbed the tray away. We were like, we are not used to this search service in America. We do not have this service.
Manny Emmy
McDonald's guy.
Laura Lee
Oh, my God. Okay. If you've ever been to a McDonald's in an airport, you know, it is like, going to war. And you're gonna fight. You're gonna fight to order your meal. You are gonna fight to pick your meal up. You're gonna. You're not getting condiments oh, and you're not sitting. You're getting one cube of ice and you're not getting a table. And there will be no straws in your bag. That is just hardcore airport McDonald's because they're so blowed out. This was the most organized McDonald's I've ever seen in my life. And they have attendants that come like, you're at a five star restaurant.
Manny Emmy
Yes.
Laura Lee
And you're at the pits of hell.
Manny Emmy
A McDonald's and the airport.
Laura Lee
Okay. And he, like, you know how, like, at a five star restaurant, like, you finish with a side plate, they come take it away. That's how they were doing it at the McDonald's. They were like, oh, you're done with that straw paper. Mine. I'm taking it. Oh, my God.
Manny Emmy
No. And you guys. And we're like, we just order and we're sitting and like, it's pretty. Like, obviously it's packed in there. It's like at the McDonald's. Like, we're going back. And so I'm like, kind of looking for a seat. He comes up to us and he's like, found you guys a seat right there. A double. What do you guys think of that?
Laura Lee
And I was really, like, like a restaurant seating. Like, he was like, I got you guys a seat. We're going to have you guys over here. Is this good for you? I just cleaned this table and we're like, I don't have the table that.
Manny Emmy
Also has plugs on the side.
Laura Lee
Family of five for a table. I don't have to punch a dad in the head. Or a table.
Manny Emmy
Yes. It was, like, shocking. And then we opened the bags. Every condiment we could ever need in the bag, straws in the bag, and.
Laura Lee
Our order was right. Never in my life.
Manny Emmy
Why does it feel like the bar is in hell? Why does it feel like the bar is in hell?
Laura Lee
The fast food specifically, I would say more than most. Like, the fast food in America bar is in the pits. Plummeted of hell. You're just lucky if you order fast food in America to just get what.
Manny Emmy
You order, the correct order.
Laura Lee
You're lucky to just have everything in the bag.
Manny Emmy
They don't give a fuck.
Laura Lee
They do not give a fuck, honey. Just throw shit in a bag and that's what you get. But in Dubai, it's not that.
Manny Emmy
I also found it really interesting. So, like, they were telling us that the Uber drivers there, a lot of them are from, you know, foreign countries who are coming into Uber work, things like that. If you, like, make Too many mistakes as an Uber.
Laura Lee
They said three.
Manny Emmy
Three. If you make three mistakes as an Uber, like, you get bad ratings and people have bad services with you. You cannot stay in Dubai anymore.
Laura Lee
You have to leave the country.
Manny Emmy
Leave the country.
Laura Lee
They don't care where you go. You just can't stay there. If you have, like.
Manny Emmy
If you are, like, a bad driver and you're a bad. Like, if people have. They complain about you.
Laura Lee
We would have no Ubers.
Manny Emmy
No.
Laura Lee
If that was the case, because every.
Manny Emmy
Uber that we experienced, everyone was so sweet. Everyone's so kind. I'm like, damn. They really are, like, above and beyond with their service here. But it's literally because, like, they're quite strict about making sure that people, like, feel safe and they feel, like, good around any situation. So I was really blown away with a lot of the things there.
Laura Lee
Also, it was really cool because whenever we were shopping, you know, we had a lot of bags because me and Manny are very rich, and we spent a lot of time. 200. We spent at least 200,000.
Manny Emmy
My fuck. I'm like this.
Laura Lee
I'm kidding. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. I love to say stupid. Shit. Y' all. Let me. I love to say stupid. We literally had, like, two bags each.
Manny Emmy
It's so calm, actually, to take advantage. Yes. For fun.
Laura Lee
That was a joke. That was a joke.
Manny Emmy
That is so funny.
Laura Lee
Coming off a big haul from Michaela.
Manny Emmy
Hall, we really enjoyed watching.
Laura Lee
I feel like y' all would believe it. If we said we spent so much, they would believe it. We did not. We did not. We did not. Actually Quite cheap, two bags. But every time you go into a store in Dubai, there's a man at the front. He's like, can I take your bags for you? And they take your bags and they sit them on the ground at the front of the store. And when they first did that, I'm like, girl, I got my eye. I got one eye on my bag. Honey, I'm not foolish. I know this game. I got an eye on my bag because all this is going to take is some idiot to walk in there and snatch my up, right? Because it's just sitting on the floor. And they were like, oh, no one steals in Dubai.
Manny Emmy
I was like, what, they don't lock their doors?
Laura Lee
Nope. They don't have.
Manny Emmy
There's just so many, like, things that I was like, wow, that was really quite blown away with. Because the thing is, obviously, like, we're from here, we're from America. We don't know the inner workings of things. Going on in the Middle east, what's happening? So it's like, when you go there and you experience these, like, nuanced things, then you compare them to America, and it's like, wow, that is really nice that they had that. And, like, the fact that they don't even have to lock their doors. They. No one's stealing anything. You could literally leave your bag on, like. Like, a counter. And they said that for 12 hours. And they're not taking. No one's gonna take it.
Laura Lee
They will not take it.
Manny Emmy
That's just not gonna happen there. And so I'm like, that's so interesting because it's such a different juxtaposition to America's ways where, baby, you leave your bag for five minutes, that's snatched.
Laura Lee
You'd be a fool. Set a bag on the ground.
Manny Emmy
No, they're literally be like, okay, yeah, no, just leave them here. You're gonna be good.
Laura Lee
Snatched, honey. Snatched.
Manny Emmy
So there was just so. Oh, my God. And then the duo games themselves.
Laura Lee
Oh, my God. Okay. So the last day we did the duo games was they set up this most insane, insane arena.
Manny Emmy
I've never seen anything like it.
Laura Lee
It's kind of like Wipeout. If you guys have ever watched the show Wipeout, where people are on the big things and they compete through all the different challenges. Well, that's kind of what the duo games were for. And they were gonna let, like, the top number one winner donate a hundred thousand dollars to charity of their choice. And that's kind of what's the premise of the games. There were 49 duos, which, by the.
Manny Emmy
Way, I thought it was just us visiting, by the way.
Laura Lee
49. I don't know. There were four 49 duos. We were duo number nine out of 49. Thank God we didn't have to wait, though.
Manny Emmy
Oh, it was so nice to just get it done technically, because it was, like, in a way. Cause you're watching, and you're like, okay. Like, you're almost, like, kind of antsy. Like, you kind of want. You're like, okay, let's go. Like, I want to start. Like, let's do this. You know? But, you guys, it honestly was. It was obviously to celebrate the duo powders. Like, that's, like, the cool thing about it is that, you know, they did the combinations of their powders, and so we're there for the duo games, and I love that it was such a different thing because they're celebrating your product. Yes, but they're turning it into a games. But they're Also donating to charity. And they also. Huda Beauty donated themselves to charity and not just the winner. So it was literally like, overall just felt like such a. Like wholesome, really great. Something really interesting and actually so exciting to be part of event that I was like, so thrilled that we were there for. But we honestly, we ate. When we were doing it, we kind of fucking ate everything.
Laura Lee
Number four out of 49. Our time was number four.
Manny Emmy
That's in me.
Laura Lee
And you were number four out of 49. I don't know what the other people were doing to be above us.
Manny Emmy
I honestly, like, I wish I was able to see because I'm like. We kind of flew.
Laura Lee
They filmed it for themselves. But we couldn't film us in the games. That's why we don't have footage of us competing.
Manny Emmy
You know what it was? Lord. You know how they technically got faster than us? It was the pit.
Laura Lee
The end pit.
Manny Emmy
Oh, yeah, yeah. But I was thinking the ball pit. Because what.
Laura Lee
They found it like this, like, timing, like the push off at the end. So if you took a long time to fall off, they added to your time.
Manny Emmy
Yeah. So I think I was like, there's. Oh, no. Our push.
Laura Lee
First of all, we competed. So they make us compete against two other people. So you have to go at each game. There's four of you in it.
Manny Emmy
Yes. And there's like. I guess I would say maybe five different games that you're like. It's like an obstacle course. Like 10, technically. There's like five. And you stop between each of them. Because there's. Because there's so many. 49. They're tying. So there's so many of them. And so when we were doing it, we were like, with another group. And it's so funny. It was like the sweet girl and then her husband. Her husband is one of the tallest men I've ever seen.
Laura Lee
He's like Dwayne Rock Johnson. I'm not being.
Manny Emmy
She's not. No. She's not being funny.
Laura Lee
I am not being Laura Lee. Dramatic. I have a picture of Manny standing next to him. Manny looks like he's my size.
Manny Emmy
Yeah.
Laura Lee
Manny looks like a Shrek.
Manny Emmy
Literally. Lauren. Me. Comparison. But me to the other guy.
Laura Lee
Comparison.
Manny Emmy
Not kidding.
Laura Lee
Think about that person. But Manny is me.
Manny Emmy
Yeah.
Laura Lee
To the other guy. Insane.
Manny Emmy
It's. He was actually. I. Actual friendly giant, by the way. He was, like, actually the sweetest man. Like, I was really like.
Laura Lee
And his wife was the sweetest angel. Sweetest angel in the world.
Manny Emmy
Both of them. I actually really like them.
Laura Lee
A Lot. Of course, we're competing with the two nicest people in Dubai.
Manny Emmy
Literally. Literally. So we did the games, and honestly, like, when we were doing the regular, like, the ones that we were going through, we kind of, like, smoked. We smoked every single one.
Laura Lee
We smoked them in every one. But the last one, you have, like, the huge baton, and you have to hit each other and push each other off, like a little bar. And so the man pushes Manny off immediately. I push his wife off. But I was like, seriously, I don't want to touch you. I don't believe in violence.
Manny Emmy
Yes. Yes.
Laura Lee
If I was gonna hit you with this pole, I would never rear back and hit a woman unless she, like, popped me in the face. And if she did, I'd probably just go home 100%.
Manny Emmy
Even then. Even then.
Laura Lee
I'm not a fighter. I don't like that. So I just kind of booty bumped her, and she kind of jumped in. And then I looked up, and it's just me and him. I was like, oh, hell, no.
Manny Emmy
He literally is like. He gets his baton. He goes like this. Lower. Like me.
Laura Lee
Grow like this. I was like.
Manny Emmy
And Laura just goes.
Laura Lee
I was like, there's no way.
Manny Emmy
He's like, I'm not gonna. Like, we're not doing this.
Laura Lee
Yeah. He was like, I'm not gonna push you. He was like, that's not fair. And his wife was like, do not touch her.
Manny Emmy
Yeah, do not touch.
Laura Lee
I was like, I'll jump in. I was like, I'll jump in.
Manny Emmy
Laura leaped right next to me, and we're like this. In the pit against, literally, Goliath, it felt like David and Goliath, and we're like this.
Laura Lee
Yep. I said, you know what? We live to fight another day.
Manny Emmy
Yes. We live to fight another day. But overall, it was just such a funny experience at the end of it. But we ended up doing really good in the games. Like, it up. So it was really fun. We didn't win. We didn't win.
Laura Lee
We didn't win.
Manny Emmy
God, we were so fucking close.
Laura Lee
We had the best time in Dubai. We flew Emirates, which, by the way, is the number one airline in the world, really. It is.
Manny Emmy
I believe it, honestly.
Laura Lee

Laura Lee
Now we flown.
Manny Emmy
Now we've flown. I can. We flew business Emirates too.
Laura Lee
We also flew Singapore once, which is like number two or something. So we amazing. We have fallen some like some luxury.
Manny Emmy
Some luxury. I really want to fly Qatar air.
Laura Lee
Me too.
Manny Emmy
You know they're saying that Qatar because they know that Emirates is the number one. So now they're like, we're gonna. We're gonna, like, be even more like.
Laura Lee
I love it. You guys should compete. Delta, what's going on? Now that I've flown Emirates.
Manny Emmy
How dare.
Laura Lee
Yes. I'm pissed at Delta.
Manny Emmy
Emirates's coach was beautiful. When we saw. When we were going in and we had to, like, go up the stairs, I was literally, like, looking at the coach, too. I was like, this is the most beautiful.
Laura Lee
You looked at the coach on your way to business. You were like, let me see.
Manny Emmy
Let me see. You're sick. No, but it's because we were walking upstairs, and you obviously have the other.
Laura Lee
Seats on the plane.
Manny Emmy
There's stairs on the plane. That's how crazy it is. But, you guys, the coach was so beautiful and so nice, and I was like, the coach looked like regular business on any American flight.
Laura Lee
I made really good friends with the guy next to me.
Manny Emmy
I was cracking up because I look over and Lore, this guy's, like, talking to Laura, and I'm literally like, what the.
Laura Lee
What do you think? His age was probably, like, 50s.
Manny Emmy
Yeah, in his 50s for sure.
Laura Lee
In his 50s. He definitely was, like, rich for sure.
Manny Emmy
You could just tell.
Laura Lee
Like, I could smell it on him. I was like, he's rich as fuck. Anyways, he was just, like, making small. Small talk. Like, where are you guys coming from? I was like, oh, we were actually in Dubai. And he was, like, making a connection. Anyways, I swindled us on his yacht in Cabo. I did. I swindled us on a shine. Cabo.
Manny Emmy
She's talking to this guy. She's texting me on the side. She's like, this guy literally has a boat.
Laura Lee
You guys know how I feel about yacht.
Manny Emmy
Yes. And I was like. She's like, this guy is so nice. He's so sweet. He literally goes, you can take my yacht out whenever you want.
Laura Lee
He was like, we'll do a tag. Oh, you can tag me, and you can take my yacht out in Cabo. And he's like, it's got five bedrooms. It's two stories. Three stories. Like, take it out. And I was like, bingo, buddy.
Manny Emmy
We literally were like this.
Laura Lee
Bingo.
Manny Emmy
And I was like, what the fuck? And I'm like, holy shit. Holy shit. I'm literally, like, cracking my. Dude, this is the end of our trip. We're actually delusional. By the fifth day, we actually were like, when you wet a gremlin, we're like. Like, I was done. So I was cracking up because I'm like, oh, my God. I wonder, like, Laura's Tired. When I look over and see you're talking over him and you're so sweet and so awake and so active. And I'm like, like, that's my girl.
Laura Lee
Huh?
Manny Emmy
That's my.
Laura Lee
He was like, well, what do you do? You know? And I told him I was an influencer. And he goes, well, you don't act like an influencer who lives in la. And I said, well, I'm from Alabama. He said, you act like a Southerner.
Manny Emmy
Wait, but, wait, but what did he mean? Like, when you act like a Southerner.
Laura Lee
Very cheerful, friendly personality, and it doesn't remind him of an influencer that lives.
Manny Emmy
In la, that if that doesn't say something.
Laura Lee
And he me. And I said, well, I lived at Alabama for 25 years. And he said, that's what you act like. He said, you're very friendly. You have a very nice, sweet personality. You're very friendly. And that is not an influencer in la. And I said, can I borrow your yacht? And he said, if you tag me, yes.
Manny Emmy
That is. But honestly, it's the truth. I feel like there is such a. An essence. There's a lot.
Laura Lee
You know what I like to do. Because, like, it's not every day. Like, I know people have hundreds of millions of dollars, but they're not, like, in my pocket every day.
Manny Emmy
So anytime, or like, literally right next to you, like, what the fuck?
Laura Lee
Or right next to you on a plane. So what I always like to do is whenever I meet someone like this, and it's organic, we're having a convers. I like to use them for information because I feel like they know what the fuck is going on outside of what I do. So I was talking about real estate, investing my money. I'm like, let me go ahead and milk this man for all that he's worth.
Manny Emmy
He started the conversation with you, so. He did.
Laura Lee
Yeah, he did. So I was like, sir, I have questions because I know you're 100.
Manny Emmy
You have millions and millions and millions of dollars, honey.
Laura Lee
He showed me the house, the compound. I mean, it's all crazy. But anyways, I know what he does. I'm not gonna put his information out there. But yeah, I was just, like, questioning him on making more money.
Manny Emmy
Yeah. You know, but it's also, like, it's interesting because this, like, talking to someone like that, talking to someone that has done something that's so incredible and amazing, that's the kind of advice that you should be getting from people in general and not taking advice on people who are doing things that are Even in the wheelhouse of what you're trying to do. You know what I'm saying? So it's nice that you're like.
Laura Lee
I'm like, this is a gym right here.
Manny Emmy
Yeah.
Laura Lee
Once I figured out who he was, I was like, okay, let me get my little list out.
Manny Emmy
Sir, I got questions for you.
Laura Lee
So with this stock, what do I need to do? What do I need to do? What about my home? This is my interest rate. This is where I live.
Manny Emmy
What should I do next?
Laura Lee
What about this house? Like, I was literally asking him everything. He was giving me the tea on everything. It was so nice.
Manny Emmy
I love that.
Laura Lee
Loved him.
Manny Emmy
He was so sweet. He really was. Because he would, like, look over at me because Laura would be like, oh, yeah, I'm here with my best friend. And I'd be like this.
Laura Lee
He asked, were you my husband?
Manny Emmy
No. The one when we got the fragrances, the guy.
Laura Lee
Is this your husband?
Manny Emmy
I said, yes.
Laura Lee
Yes, for you. It is.
Manny Emmy
It is. Because we were. We were so delusional that I was.
Laura Lee
Like, yeah, doing it. Let's talk about the TV show.
Manny Emmy
Oh, my God. Yes. The Mind you. How many episodes have you watched?
Laura Lee
Almost all of it.
Manny Emmy
Okay, I'm three in. How many are there total?
Laura Lee
Eight. Eight. I know. I've had nightmares. I've had some.
Manny Emmy
No, it's really funny. I. So I was like, okay, I'm just gonna binge, like, four episodes in a row. I can't binge this show. This is the show actually can't binge, which is something I've never like. I don't think I've ever experienced that in a TV show where I actually can't binge more than three at a time.
Laura Lee
Do you know what's crazy about this story? So this is Ryan Murphy's next version. It's number three. First he did Jeffrey Dahmer. Second, he did the Mendez brothers. This is season three. He's doing Ed Ginn, who was an infamous serial killer in Wisconsin. And how do you say his name? Charlie. Whom is Charlie?
Manny Emmy
Hunnam. Hunnam. I think it's Hunnam.
Laura Lee
I think that's it. We are weird. A motorcycler is playing. Sexy Motorcycler is playing.
Manny Emmy
Have y' all seen Sons of Anarchy?
Laura Lee
Have you seen Tyler, Close your ear.
Manny Emmy
Jax. Toddler. Close them.
Laura Lee
Jax. Teller, baby. Jax.
Manny Emmy
I literally.
Laura Lee
I know I can't. I physically can't.
Manny Emmy
I can't because him in. Specifically in Sons of Anarchy as Jax. It's a very specific, by the way, that show, if you've never even Seen it. You need to clock the. It is so good.
Laura Lee
It's just the whole thing.
Manny Emmy
The whole thing.
Laura Lee
The whole thing.
Manny Emmy
Gemma.
Laura Lee
I just insane.
Manny Emmy
My obsession. But basically the show is about. So it's based off of, like, Psycho. The guy like that is Ed Gein. Is like. Like, Psycho was inspired by Ed Gein. Yeah.
Laura Lee
Massacre was inspired by the Ed Gein, and Silence of the Lamb was inspired, like, tons of these. Of these famous horror movies. I watched every horror movie ever, and I've never heard of Ed Geen my entire life.
Manny Emmy
Isn't that the actual name of him?
Laura Lee
I've never heard of him, but when I looked up articles, they said Ryan Murphy wanted to do Ed Gein because he was the inspiration behind so many horror movies and, like, Hollywood's horror, but no one knows who he is because it wasn't about him. It was about the things he did.
Manny Emmy
Got it?
Laura Lee
And so I was like, oh, well, I've never. I have never heard of this man. I've never heard of. You know, everyone's heard of Jeffrey Dahmer, but I've never heard of Ed Gaines. So basically, he lived in Wisconsin, had abusive mother, became a serial killer, and his main gig was digging up bodies and kind of dissecting them in a way that was like, his main gig. But he also did confess to killing two women. However, because this happened during the 50s, they didn't have, you know, the DNA technology to prove all the other martyrs. But a lot of other people went missing and they found, you know, a couple of their things in his home and things like that, but he wouldn't confess to those murders. So in the TV show, they show him acting out the other murders that he didn't confess to. They did.
Manny Emmy
So that's kind of how they do it, where it's, like, kind of showing.
Laura Lee
I looked up every. Me and Ty were looking up every single thing to see the truth.
Manny Emmy
Because even, like, the brother thing, I was like, did that happen to everyone? You know what I'm saying?
Laura Lee
That Ed never confessed to killing his brother, but his brother was randomly killed and was just thrown down on the ground.
Manny Emmy
And the fire was starting around, and.
Laura Lee
He said he was. He was killed in the fire. So they were like, ed, you did this.
Manny Emmy
And you know what's funny, Laura, about that? When I was watching that scene, I'm like, well, can't they tell that he got bludgered on the head? But I'm like, they might not, because technology is not the same.
Laura Lee
It wasn't the same in the 50s. And so basically the TV show, they show him acting out all the murders that they're like, you know, like they think he did. They're like these. This is a tiny town in Wisconsin, and so you have all these people going missing. So they linked him back to Ed again. Like the babysitter. He said he never touched her.
Manny Emmy
Right.
Laura Lee
She was gone missing and her dress was found in his home. So they went ahead and acted that on the show. They really wanted you to show the monster that he really was. He was diagnosed ultimately with schizophrenia, which.
Manny Emmy
Yeah, of course, cuz like, of how the show works and how he's talking constantly to people.
Laura Lee
That's why, like, mother, like, you see him talking whenever the mom passes away of a stroke, which really happened, he still thinks she's alive, but it's his alter personality. So that he ended up immediately going to a mental facility. And they were like, diagnosing him immediately. They gave him. He requested, like, a little radio speaker. And because he had money from things they sold, they bought it for him, but they never plugged it up. And he talked on it constantly.
Manny Emmy
But it didn't work. But it didn't work.
Laura Lee
Yeah, it didn't work. He would have both conversations. He would talk and ask a question and answer the question as another person. And so they were like, he's schizophrenic. So sad. That is sad. It's sad what he did to all these people.
Manny Emmy
And it's mental health awareness month month. I know, Mental health awareness month.
Laura Lee
I feel like it was just the perfect storm. You had a mentally ill person that was extremely abused by their mother also. I think that mother actress, by the way. Oh, so scary.
Manny Emmy
Oh, the actress that is playing the mother in the show.
Laura Lee
So scary.
Manny Emmy
You are incredible. I'm obsessed with you because you are her in my.
Laura Lee
Have you seen the picture of the real mom? Spooky.
Manny Emmy
No.
Laura Lee
Spooky.
Manny Emmy
Oh, just like you would imagine. Like, just spooked over out. Got it.
Laura Lee
So what I think, you know how it shows in the show. Like, he wanted to wear women's bras and underwear. He kind of wanted to be a woman.
Manny Emmy
Yes, yes.
Laura Lee
So it kind of felt like Ed Gein was transgender in a way, or transvestite.
Manny Emmy
Like, wanted to dress as.
Laura Lee
Dress just like a transvestite if you.
Manny Emmy
Want to dress like a cross dresser.
Laura Lee
So maybe he was transvestite, but because his mother was so religious, she abused him for doing it. Like, abused. So what they were saying is that, like, triggered a schizophrenic side to him.
Manny Emmy
Yeah.
Laura Lee
Where that person, you know, there's.
Manny Emmy
There's a man in there. They were so, like, suppressed.
Laura Lee
Suppressed, beaten, you know, it, like, did something also. He was just like, broke his mind.
Manny Emmy
It actually broke his mind.
Laura Lee
It did. So it turned him into a serial killer, which, you know, if you've ever watched the show Mindhunters, they dissect the minds of the serial killers. And there's tons of similar patterns. And Ed Gein falls right into those patterns with the abusive religious mother. But there's something really interesting I read. So Charlie Human Hunnam God. I can never say his name right. Do you know, I was on a plane back from London once, and he sat right next to me. Oh, yeah, baby. And I was like this all time. I'm just kidding. I didn't do it, but I wanted to. Oh, my God, this virgin mobile. I was flying back. We had the pods, but he was the pod right next to me. I swear to God, I stared at the back of his head the entire time. And then when we got off the plane at baggage, I was like, this is baggage. Never said hello. No one wants to say hey. You know what I mean? No one wants to say hey.
Manny Emmy
Yeah, it's because no one, like, wants to.
Laura Lee
Like, he doesn't give up that I'm a fan.
Manny Emmy
When you're an airport, he's gonna be.
Laura Lee
Like, get the out here.
Manny Emmy
I bet you anything. He would have been like, thank you so much.
Laura Lee
He would have.
Manny Emmy
He would have been the sweetest.
Laura Lee
He would have. He would have been so sweet. But, you know, it's like, no one cares. So I was like, whatever. I just stared at him. It made it really awkward. He didn't see me staring, though.
Manny Emmy
No, of course he did. He totally did. I was like this.
Laura Lee
But I was reading an article. So in the show, he has this weird voice.
Manny Emmy
It's like his voice pisses me off.
Laura Lee
The whole entire time. Like this. So it's really bizarre.
Manny Emmy
I saw this thing that. It's like Adam Sandler in a very specific movie.
Laura Lee
Adam Sandler has this in the movie not the Zoan.
Manny Emmy
No, it's like.
Laura Lee
No, it's Zoolander.
Manny Emmy
It's literally, like, so soft.
Laura Lee
Have you heard Zoolander speak?
Manny Emmy
Yes, it's like.
Laura Lee
Yes, just like that. Black lung pop. Okay.
Manny Emmy
Yes.
Laura Lee
Literally.
Manny Emmy
It's liter. Literally. Like, he talks, like, almost childlike in a weird way. It's hard to explain.
Laura Lee
Okay, but listen to how crazy this is. So there were no. Because this was all in the 50s. There were no really records or voice recordings of Ed Gein speaking. They just didn't have it. So But Charlie really wanted it because he was like, I want to play him out to like the top nine. Like I want this to be Ed Gain. Like I want to do it. And they were like, well we don't have have his voice but what we do have is a lot of voice professionals and they can basically reiterate what they think he probably sounded like. And so Charlie was like, that is not good enough for this one. Like I don't want that, I don't want to do that. So he somehow and the director and all were saying, we're not going to say how he did it, but he got a hold, he did some crazy apparently to get a hold of the interrogation tape of Edgin.
Manny Emmy
Really.
Laura Lee
And he mimicked the voice perfectly and.
Manny Emmy
So that's how he was able to do it.
Laura Lee
And psychologists say Edging probably developed that type of voice because it is a strange, it's a bizarre voice.
Manny Emmy
Very specific.
Laura Lee
Yeah, they said he probably developed that voice because of an abusive mother to come across to the mother as softer, to soften himself. So that was Ed Gein's voice.
Manny Emmy

Manny Emmy
That is crazy.
Laura Lee
Crazy.
Manny Emmy
Like he really and I had seen like roles where there were people or like the interviews and people are being like you're really vulnerable. Like you're naked in the one of the scenes and like you're wearing lingerie of women. Like do you feel like odd? And he's like no, I wanted to play it like absolutely correctly. And I feel like I'm playing the character like yeah, I would never pose naked as myself. He's like, but I'm behind this character who I wanted to make sure was like really like disrespecting the character of who the person was. You Know in a way so that he was like, I'm going to be be enveloping myself in the role. So he's like, I don't care if I'm like in lingerie or acting out or, you know, wearing women's clothing or having to be naked for some of these scenes. Like, it is what it is. He got a fat ass too.
Laura Lee
Oh. People were like, I love how Edgin was like shredded to filth with a fat ass and lived on a farm in the middle nowhere.
Manny Emmy
I was like, he's literally, he's literally like, like bailing. Hey, what if he was strong?
Laura Lee
Girl, he didn't look like that.
Manny Emmy
I know he's.
Laura Lee
Girl, he looks like Charlie.
Manny Emmy
He ain't looking like no Charlie. It is, but it is. You guys, the show is honestly shocking. But the reason I can't. It's like, it's actually one of the darkest shows I've ever watched in my whole life. And I haven't experienced a show like this level of darkness in a really, really long time. Because even though their monsters to me weren't as dark as this one is because of the scenes, how they do it because they actually play it's. I will say sometimes I get confused because they go back and forth with different like almost time frames and they show different things.
Laura Lee
The show was confusing.
Manny Emmy
It is kind of confusing, right? Because it's like they'll do like, they go to like almost like the future where they're talking about like Psycho and.
Laura Lee
Like TV shows and the movies that they.
Manny Emmy
Yes. Which I do like that they kind of go back and forth to show that. But sometimes it's kind of confusing. But the scenes are very intense and it's shot very intensely. So you almost feel like it's like really happening. It's very, very dark, very intense. And like after the second episode I was like, oh, I can't watch more of this tonight. Like, I couldn't watch more than two in one moment. So now I'm like, okay, I can watch like one a day because of like how intense the show is. I'm not even kidding. Like, you guys should definitely try if you guys like creepy stuff like that. And I'm not even in like in the horror genre. I'm like, not like a horror person. But I still found it to be very fascinating. Very, very, very well done and very intense.
Laura Lee
Also, like trigger warning, like the show.
Manny Emmy
Oh, beyond, like triggering beyond actually.
Laura Lee
You can't take like chopped up bodies and like sexual things with that and those kind of things. Card by the way, they said Edgin really did create a woman out of other women's skin sewn together and would wear the costume around all the time as his schizophrenic version of himself being a woman, like, getting a costume. So they said that that's real, and that's where Silence of the Lamb and Leatherface, Texas Chainsaw Massacre comes from. No idea. I had no idea the history of that.
Manny Emmy
I had no idea either. Do you know what I'm thinking about? Like, in, like, a weird retrospective way? So I was. So I posted on my stories. A friend of mine who does drag responded. She was like, girl, I'm watching it. So creepy. Like, such a. Such a shitty thing for cross dressers. And I was like, what are you talking about? And then she was like, oh. Like, this could be, like, things like this. It's what perpetuates, like, the idea of cross dressers and drag queens and things like that being crazy and then having mental disorders because it's like he actually had mental disorder, but he was dressing up as a woman. So then people might think. Think this is why people want to dress as a woman or they want to cross dress. And I'm like, oh, my God, I didn't even think about that, like, idea of that. And it is true, though, because when you think about it, it's like, oh, this could seep into people's minds of being like, oh, well, look at these. Cross dresses are crazy.
Laura Lee
I think Ryan Murphy has been doing controversial TV shows for years. I think just about anything he's touched has definitely been controversial for these reasons. For these reasons. I mean, he's a gay man himself.
Manny Emmy
It's talked about.
Laura Lee
It comes from the community. And it may. Yeah, I mean, it's talked about, but it's also, like, puts out their stereotypes, like, different ideas. Because all of his TV shows, remember the last one, the big controversy was like, you're promoting incest.
Manny Emmy
Yes.
Laura Lee
Like, you're making it out to be that the Mendez brothers were incestual. And they were saying we weren't.
Manny Emmy
Yeah.
Laura Lee
So that was a huge thing that Ryan Murphy did. You know, people didn't like or they didn't like that. They try to make them seem a little more innocent than what they were. You know, that got huge. He went back and forth. And then you had Dahmer. Everybody was mad at Ryan Murphy because they were like, dude, you're literally, like, promoting serial killers for our entertainment in a way of like. Which, by the way, we've always done that.
Manny Emmy
Yeah, well, that's like. Just like. Sorry. That's always the human.
Laura Lee
That is interest. That's the human interest. Because I think once someone so dark and, like, animalistic, like, people are going to be interested in how that came.
Manny Emmy
To be or, like, why. Like, why would they do that? Who is that director that's in it? I keep. They keep throwing back. Is it all Alfred Hitchcock?
Laura Lee
I don't know.
Manny Emmy
It's Alfred because I was like, keep going back to, like, this, you know, because in the flashbacks, how they keep going back to this, like. And I think obviously, he's in prosthetic makeup to look like Alfred.
Laura Lee
Yes.
Manny Emmy
But it's like they keep going to him, and he's like, when he created Sick.
Laura Lee
Yes.
Manny Emmy
He created, like, psycho movies. And they keep being like, you need to create more of these or whatever. That kind of thing. But that's like showing, like, he created a genre that was, like, people's interest.
Laura Lee
Yeah.
Manny Emmy
You know, so it's like. Oh, it's like people are always really curious about things. But, yeah, I feel like Ryan's always really pushed the boundaries on, like, 100. It makes you think.
Laura Lee
And I think it doesn't always do good for society.
Manny Emmy
No.
Laura Lee
You know what I mean?
Manny Emmy
Like, it does not. It does not at all times. There's just no world. But he does create, I guess, entertaining tv. Oh, very intense. Very intense. But, yeah, no, it's just, like, something that I thought about when my friend told me that, and I was like, oh, I didn't even think about that. But that's something to note that it's like, just because that's happening does not mean. Does not show that people who are trans that would think. Think do these heinous things. Like, don't. Don't even let that.
Laura Lee
Don't think that.
Manny Emmy
Don't think that.
Laura Lee
Go ahead and watch it. But do not.
Manny Emmy
Do not think that at all. The girlies are good. The girlies that want to be drag queens, they're not crazy, because you know that there's always the poor. Like, the. The trans community always just gets so on all the time for being, you know, pedophiles and whatnot and all these kind of things. And it's like, you guys, it's not a thing.
Laura Lee
Our next topic is Katherine McBroom. Katherine McBroom is married, and it's not even.
Manny Emmy
It's not even McBroom now. It's Catherine.
Laura Lee
Oh, my God.
Manny Emmy
It's literally like, what's her.
Laura Lee
Well, her original last name she was born with is like, P. Yeah, Pa.
Manny Emmy
Yeah, something like that. But now it's something different.
Laura Lee
Oh, my gosh. I shouldn't have said. Let me. Let me restate that.
Manny Emmy
Yeah.
Laura Lee
Catherine Pais is now married, and. And eventually we'll have a new last name that I do not know yet. But I just want to say her veil on her wedding day was the prettiest veil I've ever seen a bride.
Manny Emmy
I cannot agree more. When I saw the photo, I was.
Laura Lee
Like, literally looked like an angel ascending from heaven. And I just want to start this off by saying how happy I am for her to restart her life and to find happiness. And I think Catherine is an example to a lot of women and people out there who are in the wrong relationship, and maybe they do have three kids involved, and that shit's tough how hard it is. But Katherine got out of it, and she restarted her life with true love and a man that she really loves and protects her and is gonna be the best for her. And I think she sets a really great example for a lot of girls out there. And I'm so happy for her. I'm so proud of her. And I'm just glad that the Austin McBroom chapter, will it ever be closed completely?
Manny Emmy
No.
Laura Lee
She has three kids.
Manny Emmy
Yeah.
Laura Lee
But with her relationship with them. It's close.
Manny Emmy
It's a wrap. It's a wrap.
Laura Lee
It's close. Go, Katherine, go. I'm like, you're doing amazing.
Manny Emmy
Like, I'm relieved for her. I feel this, like, sense of relief and this sense of happiness for her to be able to be with someone. And, like, I saw the videos that she posted, like, when she kind of, like, saw her dress for the first time, and she was really emotional and really crying about it and how she was talking about. She's like, you know what? Like, I never thought this day would happen where I would be marrying the love of my life. So then, of course, people start digging at this point. Cause they're like, well, didn't you say that you were married to Austin? But there was never. There was no paperwork technically, ever found of them getting married. So, you know, this is what people are thinking, that it's like, her actual, like, first wedding. Her first, like, real wedding, where it's like, wow, I'm actually marrying the, like, love of my life. I genuinely care for.
Laura Lee
I feel like, spill, sesh. Shout out to her. I just want to shout her out because I think she's, like, a really great reporter, and I think she did this video on it, and she did a really great. She does really great Investigative work where she broke down. Technically, there was never a wedding for Catherine and Austin McBroom.
Manny Emmy
Yeah.
Laura Lee
And so we were like, okay, but how did it come to be that they were married? And they just sit down out of nowhere one day and they go, we're married.
Manny Emmy
Been married for two years.
Laura Lee
We've been married. And maybe they were.
Manny Emmy
Yeah.
Laura Lee
There's no proof that they were or weren't, but they were saying their excuse was in the video is that they wanted to create a really huge Ace family branded, filmed wedding. And, like, they wanted to be married first because that is something so huge to put together and to put on and that they want to do do that they just couldn't do right now. So that that wedding was coming. By the way, that wedding never came. That never happened. So people are, like, speculating based off her reaction. Was she ever really married? Oxen and broom? Because the split was quick.
Manny Emmy
Yeah.
Laura Lee
Oh, and they had a lot of assets. So it's like, very.
Manny Emmy
Also for her to be, like, so emotional about getting married. And she was like, oh, my God, that's like my first time, you know, walking down the aisle with the man I love. She's like, saying these things, these almost context clues, and I'm kind of like.
Laura Lee
Like, is she trying to let us know that this is her first wedding?
Manny Emmy
Yes. Yes. That's what it feels like. So it might have been and it might have been. And honestly, I'm so happy for her that if it was that that was her first experience getting married with someone that, like, truly loves her, that wants to take care of her, that will ride for her, that will protect her. Like, that made me so happy for her to be, like. To see her so emotional, to see her, you know, going down the aisle and her being so happy, I'm like, this makes me just, like, so most happy.
Laura Lee
So I think Austin is the mastermind behind all the. Yeah, the Ace family.
Manny Emmy
I think that's point blank.
Laura Lee
He wasn't there just along for the ride of being with her partner. And he often kind of tied her into all the messy bullshitness. And I think without him by her side, her life is going to be really peaceful. And she's not going to deal with any of that drama, any of the. She's gonna have a good, peaceful life now that she deserves. Austin was the mastermind behind all that. And the thing is, I don't put past him for two seconds, hey, Catherine, let's just tell him we're married. Like, I don't put that past him.
Manny Emmy
Do you Remember, like, during that time, there was a lot of allegations of him cheating, so. And doing weird stuff with his dad cheating.
Laura Lee
A big one where him and his dad did some really nasty stuff. So then they wanted to. It was like, what's the motive to.
Manny Emmy
Band aid in a weird way.
Laura Lee
Yeah. It seemed like Austin was like, let's just say we're married. And Catherine was. Went along with it. That's what it feels like. This is speculation. This is not factual because we don't have proof that they weren't married. But this is what a lot of people are speculating, and this is what, like, spill. Sasha's video breaks down.
Manny Emmy
You guys should check it out. Just watch her video. There's, like, more breakdown in her video, and she is literally like a reporter in her videos. And she, like, literally will be like, okay, this is why this happened. And transpiring. What do you guys think? And what's cool about to just in general just shout to her is that she's very much like, this is what's happening. Like, what do you guys think? She's not, like, trying to infringe a narrative. A narrative about something so specifically. Like, she'll give her thoughts, but she's not trying to be like, hate this. She's not like that.
Laura Lee
With drama channels, a lot during our time, they would make up a narrative, but then they would push and push and push to spin the narrative, which I feel like drama and like, it's changed a little now. Now there's still drama channels that do.
Manny Emmy
That force with influence. A lot of it feels more commentary.
Laura Lee
And very, like, more commentary. That's kind of what we do on full coverage. We're not here to push a certain narrative. We're here to tell you the story and what's out there and then let it is. Yeah. And like, that's an open conversation. But also speaking of, like, genius and journalists in our industry is Kirby Johnson. And I want to talk about this because of the Charlie x Taylor Swift drama going on.
Manny Emmy
Oh, it's everywhere, by the way. I watch the Charlie shiz everywhere.
Laura Lee
I watch Kirby Johnson's full video on the breakdown. So did I. Kirby Johnson is a Taylor Swift fan at heart, so I'm.
Manny Emmy
Like, herbie will know, but she likes Charlie to too.
Laura Lee
Kirby is the type of person where it doesn't matter what the Internet's saying. Kirby just spits out facts. Here are the facts on the table.
Manny Emmy
And she gives her real opinion, which I love.
Laura Lee
She won't, like, hide behind.
Manny Emmy
Yeah.
Laura Lee
It's not so biased. That's why I love Kirby Johnson. So I watched her full breakdown. So Taylor Swift released a new album. She has a song on it that shades Char Charlie xcx, Charlie XCX and the main line that people calls her a cokehead.
Manny Emmy
Right?
Laura Lee
So then if you go back Charli xcx, which by the way, I never knew that Sympathy is a knife. You're kidding was about Taylor Swift.
Manny Emmy
This ad is brought to you by Vive Healthcare, the makers of Aperitude Cabotegravir.
Laura Lee
You never skip your SPF and you carry hand sanitizer like an accessory. But what are you doing for HIV prevention? One way to help protect yourself from HIV is Apertude, a prescription medicine used to reduce the risk of getting HIV in adults and adolescents weighing at least 77 pounds.
Manny Emmy
You must be HIV negative to receive apritude and get tested before each injection. If you think you are exposed to HIV or have flu like symptoms, tell your doctor right away. More HIV testing may be needed. Aperitude does not prevent other sexually transmitted infections. Practice safer sex to reduce your risk. Get aperitude as scheduled. Missing doses increases your HIV risk. Don't take apertude if allergic to it or taking certain medicines that may interact. Tell your doctor about your medical conditions, liver problems and mental health. Serious side effects include allergic reactions or rash, liver problems and depression. If these occur, get medical help right away. The most common side effect is injection site reaction.
Laura Lee
Bring your A game and talk to your doctor. Learn more at appr2.com or call 1-888-240-0340. I never knew that.
Manny Emmy
I've known that.
Laura Lee
But they said it wasn't a jab at Taylor Swift. It was Charlie's explanation of like this shit hurts being compared to girls like this. It wasn't like Taylor sucks. Fuck her. It was more like this is my story. And like what I've been compared to and like how this is a knife to me. Sympathy is a knife. It's a knife, you guys.
Manny Emmy
Also, if you listen to the lyrics of Something Is a Knife Knife, you can actually very much tell that it doesn't actually sound like a diss track at all. She's just like fudge. It's hard being a girl because in the industry you're sometimes forced to feel like you have to like someone, but you might not really love them. And I'm on the like, I'm opposite, I'm on the other side. She's like, she'll never be a Taylor Swift. She's Charlie xx. She's like but it was Ravenswift.
Laura Lee
No, it was about her. It was about herself. So, like, she wrote Sympathy as a Knife as about herself. And that's kind of what musical artists do now. They kind of, like, tie other people.
Manny Emmy
In and based off their experiences, like, what they're feeling during that thing.
Laura Lee
Like, her and Lord have a whole song together about their beef. So that's just kind of how it works. But anyway, so Taylor Swift comes out with. I don't even think it's a diss track. Like, it wasn't that deep. I mean, yeah, she calls Charlie a cokehead, but Charlie is branded. She's like, I ran around being a cokehead. Like, she's loud and proud. She's 3,665 party girl. Like, that's literally her album. I mean, come on. So I don't think Charlie is, like, in Stitches in the corner.
Manny Emmy
I think Charlie's literally like.
Laura Lee
I think she was probably. It was about.
Manny Emmy
Yeah, she. Or she's literally like, no. Or she's literally like, my turn next. Like, I like. I like artists, but that's what they do. Like, it's literally a tit for tat. Sometimes.
Laura Lee
I think it's a tit for tat. I don't think it's a war. I think. I think Taylor was like, okay, you feel this way about me. Let me hang out. Let me get a lyric in there, too. Let me get some. Let me get some heat in mind. Because Charlie's so trending right now. So it's like, you know, popular trending artists. That's what they do. They use each other. They use the beef to promote their music and get their songs out there. So. So I. I think, obviously, when you have the Taylor Swift fans and you have to. Charlie fans, you have day and night.
Manny Emmy
Of course we are night.
Laura Lee
They are day. Just to be clear.
Manny Emmy
Just. We're so clear. We are actually the night. We are the Ravens, and they are the sun.
Laura Lee
They are the sun.
Manny Emmy
Yes. 100%.
Laura Lee
And it's such a polarizing opposite. It has turned into a war online where, like, Charlie fans are coming for the Taylor girl.
Manny Emmy
Swinging. They're swinging.
Laura Lee
They're coming for the Swifties. And here's my thing. I was on live, and so many people were like, what do you think about Taylor's new album? And I'm like, oh, no. Haven't listened to it. You're like, oh, this is my thing. I'm a Taylor fan. I'm not her music fan. Like, I like Taylor Swift.
Manny Emmy
I like Taylor Swift as Well, I.
Laura Lee
Like to follow what she's doing, what she's wearing, what red carpets, who she's dating.
Manny Emmy
She's very philanthropic, which I think is amazing.
Laura Lee
Philanthropic. I love.
Manny Emmy
She stands for people's rights, which I love.
Laura Lee
She does three hour concerts. Rain, snow, shine, sleet. She's there. Like, I love Taylor. I don't love her music. It is not my genre music that I listen to.
Manny Emmy
I'm the exact same.
Laura Lee
And that's just what it is.
Manny Emmy
That's just a same. I did. I did a whole listen to the album one time to be like, okay, is there. I did the whole thing. I did. I listened to the whole thing. So I was like, okay. Well, it just came out. I'm like, I want to hear. And there's like two songs that I'm like, okay, this gives me like old Taylor. Like, yes. Like my bad bops, like, da da da. But it's not. I didn't download any of the songs. Like, it was literally just like, oh, this is cute. Like, it's. It's cute scene.
Laura Lee
What's the line? Everybody's pissed. Boss, bitch your way to the. Did you. What's the line?
Manny Emmy
Did you grow, boss too close to the sun.
Laura Lee
What does that mean?
Manny Emmy
Like, I don't know.
Laura Lee
Okay. So Ty's walking through the house. I go, did you, girl boss too close to the sun? And Ty goes, what the fuck are you talking about? And I was like, exactly, exactly.
Manny Emmy
So I think there's a like. But also the thing is, like, there's actually a lot of criticism in this album in comparison to other albums because people say that Taylor writes really well when she's broken up about something and she's so happy with Travis. They're like, the lyrics. Yeah, like the. The lyrics are more light. Does that make sense where it's like, it's not so profound lyrically as Taylor has been before when she's doing these anecdotes and these like, crazy things like.
Laura Lee
Oh, my God, relate to the pain.
Manny Emmy
Yes.
Laura Lee
It's also always never going to resonate when you're like, let's say I do a TikTok today. And I'm like, get ready with me. This is the best fucking day ever. No one gives a fuck.
Manny Emmy
They're like, okay, go for you, bitch.
Laura Lee
Yeah, exactly. If you're like, get ready with me. I'm gonna talk about all the drama and shit going on, then people are like, ears perched. That's just how society. That's how it is. And so I also feel like Taylor came Out with this album too close to her other music. I don't know.
Manny Emmy
Well, she launches, so I feel like she always launches frequently. Yeah. Maybe it's also the tour. You could be thinking the tour.
Laura Lee
Because it's so big, I think in the tour.
Manny Emmy
The tour. And it lasted for so long. The tour lasted for so long.
Laura Lee
We get a breath, right? Can we get a breath? And she's like, no.
Manny Emmy
Life of showgirl work.
Laura Lee
I'm going to keep going.
Manny Emmy
No. And like I was saying, like there is some bots on there, but it's just like I feel like it would.
Laura Lee
Have been better received if it was spaced out or something like that.
Manny Emmy
I don't know. I feel like there could. I don't know. Actually, I have no idea. Because honestly, even. Even on like the critic like websites, like they didn't. They only rated like a 5.9 out of 10. Like, compared to like let's say even brat, which I'm not trying to even compare. But like that got like an 8.
Laura Lee
Not trying to compare. I'm not even trying to compare.
Manny Emmy
I'm not even trying to compare. You got an 8 out of 10. But mind you, I'm gonna. Charlie's stance, so it's different, but it's just like they, like they were just saying that kind of like lyrically it's not feeling like as Taylor, if that makes sense. That's basically what they're all saying. But I mean, at the end of the day, the Swifties like it, so they like it.
Laura Lee
They like it, period. Also, like, she writes her own music music, so she's better than everyone. Like alone. If you're writing your own music, you're already in a class.
Manny Emmy
Better.
Laura Lee
I'm sorry, it is. She's doing quadruple the work any other artist is doing. If you're writing your hard worker songs.
Manny Emmy
This is why we're fans of Taylor, actually. This is actually why we're fans like Taylor.
Laura Lee
I respect that. I respect that so much. So I'm like all these like, I'm not even a Taylor hater. I just don't like that type of like side to side little shoulder shrug music, you know, that's just like not what I'm going to be.
Manny Emmy
Yeah, totally.
Laura Lee
You're not jamming and that's okay. But I don't have to hate on Taylor because.
Manny Emmy
No, same. I actually like. Like I was saying, like, I like Taylor as a person. I'm just not like a Taylor music person as much.
Laura Lee
Go ahead and tell them about Cardi B and Nicki oh.
Manny Emmy
You guys. Okay, you want to talk about actual beef? This is pop that Charlie Taylor.
Laura Lee
That ain't nothing.
Manny Emmy
Charlie. Charlie Taylor is literally nothing compared to. To, like, last week's situation with Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. They're, like, tweeting each other. You guys, they went to, like, literal war.
Laura Lee
War.
Manny Emmy
And they've always had a beef. Like, let's be so fucking for real. They've had. They've had beef for years at this point. Like, it's just always been like this. Like, the throne shoe. Like, there's always been this kind of tit for tat in there. And, you know, there's always, like, basically, like, they're mentioning them in some way without saying their names or whatever. But this got, like, really, really, really intense, this feud that they just had on Twitter. Like, it was like they were coming after each other's children. Like, it was too far. Crazy. I thought they went too far. I thought both went too far. They ended up both, technically. I mean. No. Because even looking at the apology. No.
Laura Lee
Cardi did not.
Manny Emmy
Yes. Cardi's apology was like.
Laura Lee
It wasn't an apology. It was another jab.
Manny Emmy
It was another job. Yes. Whereas, like, Nikki, she was like, you know what, guys?
Laura Lee
She apologized.
Manny Emmy
Yeah, she apologized for. For that part. For reading children. The child.
Laura Lee
Yeah.
Manny Emmy
But nothing else was l, baby. Like, it was blood for blood. And, you guys, some of the tweets, I, like, I can't even say them. Like, they're like.
Laura Lee
They're literally have gone. Both of them have gone to the gutter so low that they are trashing each other's literal children. So that's when, you know, little, innocent children that have nothing to do with this battle that both of them have taken upon themselves to trash each other's family and their children's. And it has gone way lower, way.
Manny Emmy
Farther than I could have ever should ever go.
Laura Lee
And, like, honestly, like, that's a loss of respect on both of their.
Manny Emmy
I agree. They would both take that far.
Laura Lee
And I don't care if it's like, oh, no, it's this way. No. Other people's. Young, small children, stay out of it.
Manny Emmy
I agree.
Laura Lee
You're both mothers, dude.
Manny Emmy
I'm not kidding. When I saw the tweet, I was literally, like, you guys, you both have your own children, and you're shredding.
Laura Lee
So you know what it's like to have a child. You know, it's like to love a child like that. You know what it's like to be a mother. But you Would both go there to.
Manny Emmy
Like, low points, too. Like, they were like, you guys both went low, low. Like, too low. Like, talking. Like, I honestly, like, there's tweets that I, like, wouldn't even read because they're so absolutely insane that if you guys want to see, you can go and find it on the Internet. Actual, like, screen recordings and screenshots of them. Because a lot of ones you see are going to be real. Because I went to their accounts myself to be like, are these fake? Are these. Are these doctored? They're not. They literally tweeted them from their own accounts. I physically saw them. So what's crazy about it is that, like, I know that in the rap world, there's, like, these beasts, right? There's always beefs in the rap world. That's kind of how, like, they go. They go tit for tat. They, like, go. You know, they battle. And like, a lot of times, that's how it is, baby. Pop, too Pop divas. They've been all. They're all battling. They're all Olivia, Sabrina. Remember Olivia, Sabrina back in the day.
Laura Lee
That's another one.
Manny Emmy
So I feel like there is definitely these, like, battles. Battles and things do happen. But. And I know that in the rap world, same. But like, even, for example, like, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, he basically, like, Kendrick was like, saying that he was a P word, right?
Laura Lee
And said he had a bbl.
Manny Emmy
And had bbl.
Laura Lee
But see, that's like the rap. But, like, that's like, not the P word. No, the BBL stuff. I'm like, that's the. That's giving, like, okay, that's.
Manny Emmy
It's almost like just being shady. Yeah, this just went too far. And I really am so, like, I was blown the away when I saw the tweets. I was like, you guys, this is like, like, next level. And it's almost weird because they both have such intense fans in their own fandom, in their own world. You know, Charlie or She got her barbs. Charlie. Nikki got her barbs. And so it's like, they're very intense party.
Laura Lee
All her fans.
Manny Emmy
I don't know.
Laura Lee
I'm Googling.
Manny Emmy
Let's Google it. Let's find out. But they had, like, their own, like, people, right? And it's just when they have their teams going at each other and the Phantoms going at each other, it just becomes such a, like. Like, clusterfuck. And I don't think that people will see reason in that situation where they. I don't see people being like, hey, guys, maybe you're both being, like, the party gang. I was like, I don't. I was like, I don't think that people, when they're, like, seeing it, they're thinking, like, yeah, you got her good. I think they're thinking, like, you guys, this is, like, really low. And I think you guys are hitting, like, really deep points that shouldn't really even be touched, like, about each other's children and calling them, like, you know, mentally disabled.
Laura Lee
That is, like, beyond. That's beyond.
Manny Emmy
I literally was like, this.
Laura Lee
That can't happen. Like, come on. Like. Like, how do.
Manny Emmy
What's happening? What is happening?
Laura Lee
Say something like that about another person's child. Like, too far.
Manny Emmy
It went too far because there's rap beef and then there's, like, that. And I'm like, that is too deep. It is too deep.
Laura Lee
You guys only prove that you both would go that low.
Manny Emmy
Yeah.
Laura Lee
You know what I mean?
Manny Emmy
It's so disappointing. Like, I was disappointed because I'm a fan of them both. Honestly, I like both their music, and I was just like, wow. Yeah. Like, I literally, like, come on.
Laura Lee
Nikki's like, our childhood.
Manny Emmy
Hello.
Laura Lee
And then Cardi's like, the past. Like.
Manny Emmy
Like, I'm bar five or six years.
Laura Lee
So it is like, like, damn. Like, what are we supposed to do?
Manny Emmy
Yes. No. Totally crazy. And I'm like, I think. I hope that, like, even their fans that are, like, their true diehards that are, like, intense, they see, and they're like, whoa, whoa, hey, whoa. This is getting out of hand. And I hope that they're the true fans are really, like, trying to keep them accountable.
Laura Lee
They're like, they both said they did. They did.
Manny Emmy
They said they did. Cardi's like, where's your address?
Laura Lee
And as I learn from Bhad Bhabie in Alabama, grandma on site means they're coming to your house.
Manny Emmy
Or the second you see each other on sites, the second you see each other, it's a brawl. That's what it's supposed to be.
Laura Lee
It's grappling.
Manny Emmy
So I'm literally like, isn't, like, Alabama barking? Isn't Corey pregnant?
Laura Lee
She is.
Manny Emmy
I'm not doing it.
Laura Lee
It still said all that.
Manny Emmy
She's, you know what?
Laura Lee
Mind blown.
Manny Emmy
I don't know what's happening. I truly do not know what's happening. I'm like, baby, it's. It's not on site, actually, because you're pregnant. Please, let's not do it on site.
Laura Lee
I think it was. Cardi was the one that said, that's it.
Manny Emmy
Like, yes, she's like, what's your address? I'm coming over right now. And I'm like, okay, you guys, this is getting out of hand. You know, Nikki's like this. The dog meme. She's like this. You just know, like, you just know. It's like something so crazy. And I'm like, I'm hoping that it gets to a, you know, settled place and they just kind of stop doing that because there's rap even.
Laura Lee
There's this never talk to each other.
Manny Emmy
Again or just don't, like, don't you talk about each other. I do feel like Nikki pokes Cardi for sure.
Laura Lee
Really?
Manny Emmy
Yeah, like, more than I would think that Cardi would poke Nikki in some capacities, I do think.
Laura Lee
Wouldn't that mean Nikki is like. Cardi's bothering Nikki in the way. But Cardi just came out with an album. Cardi's getting a lot of press. Caller's going on Colorado. That could be why, you know, provoking.
Manny Emmy
Yeah. So that could be why some, like, you know, something. So I do feel like there's poking happening, but it's like at the end of the day, day. Poke all you want. Both sides, babe. Like, do the rap beef, but keep it within reason. I would say, Jesus, be reasonable. Humanity for the sake of humanity and.
Laura Lee
Children for the children. My God.
Manny Emmy
So I literally was like, girl, this is like, you guys took it too far. It's too. It's too beyond to me.
Laura Lee
Is that our last topic today?
Manny Emmy
I literally was opening my phone to look if that was our last topic. I'm not even kidding.
Laura Lee
It is.
Manny Emmy
I think it was our last topic, actually.
Laura Lee
