So you guys asked us questions about Aaron 247 and we're just gonna do a full life update. We're gonna interview Aaron and ask her what it's like to be a 21 year old living in LA and all the good juicy questions that you guys might have. Plus she's got a lot going on.

In her world and living in LA now because remember, I think last time she was here she wasn't in la.

Oh yeah.

Now she's an LA girl.

[Aaron]

Honestly, I feel like, because what I've been on the podcast like two times and I feel like each time I just feel like a completely different person.

[Laura]

It's cuz your age.

[Aaron]

Yeah, it's because of my age.

[Manny]

It's so transformative.

[Aaron]

Each year is so different and I'm changing so much.

[Manny]

Until you hit like 29.

[Laura]

Yeah. And then it goes and it's going.

[Manny]

To be like, maybe this is who the I am. This is what you're going to get. Once you hit your pretzel lobe fully development, you're like, okay, I'm going to stay here.

[Aaron]

I got a couple years down.

[Laura]

Life settles down a little bit.

[Manny]

Things start to calm down just a hair. But in that age, oh my God. I was. I felt the same way.

[Laura]

Yeah.

[Manny]

I was changing every freaking year. One year I was gay, one year I wasn't.

[Laura]

New friends, new boyfriends, new house, new jobs. Like dropping out, signing up for class. Like, it all changes in those years. So it's very interesting. But we're gonna start with peaks and pits.

[Aaron]

Okay, who's going first?

[Laura]

You? You, Stoney?

[Aaron]

Okay. Peak of this week is gonna have to be my friend's birthday party last night.

[Laura]

And on a Tuesday is crazy.

[Aaron]

On a Tuesday.

[Manny]

That's diabolical.

And I hope you know no one's holding back either. No one's.

I know.

[Manny]

This is the crazy part.

[Laura]

We're not holding back.

[Aaron]

We don't care, girl. We already knew that. But to the, to the viewers, to the. To the fam jam, we don't hold back. Even though we got work in the morning right now. Actually.

No, that's good.

[Aaron]

Surprisingly. But I think it's because I drink too. And then we all stay up. But I did stay up till 5am so. So. And that has just kind of became a norm for me since, like, moving here.

[Manny]

It's just like, I know that's the norm on a Tuesday. 5:00am sleep.

[Aaron]

Yeah.

[Manny]

Another club, another club, another club, another club.

[Laura]

We.

[Aaron]

We actually didn't even go to a club. It was my friend's 22nd birthday. We went to dinner. We had a really good time. A lot of us went out to eat. And then we surprised her with a love island themed surprise party. And there's so many people there. She had no idea. She didn't even want to go to the person's place. She's like, dude, like, we need to get going. We need to get going. But I think that is definitely going to be a peak of the week because it just makes me think, like, oh my God, I'm so grateful to be living in L. A. Again. I'm so thankful for, like, all the friendships that I have started to gain since moving here. And I'm just a more social and active person compared to like this time last year, I felt like I was just such a home buddy, never leaving the house. Besides when I was going to work or maybe going to the gym.

[Laura]

Why do you feel like you didn't have, like, this experience that you're experiencing now in Santa Barbara?

[Aaron]

I think me for one, being in a relationship and I'm not gonna like, I. It's not like in a toxic way. It's not like I had a boyfriend that was like, I don't want you going here. Doing this. Blah, blah, blah, blah. We were just so attached to the hip. And I think he was like, I don't know. I just want to do everything with him and be with him all the time. And I think something just finally flipped in my brain where I was like, this is not normal. This is. I don't like this. Even if this was normal, I don't like this. I miss my girlfriends. I miss going out. I miss being social. I don't like this home buddy that I've have become, because I can be a little introverted. I can like my alone time. Yeah, you can just like any other normal person. But, girl, I miss going out. So this is definitely just, like, reminding me that this year, a lot has changed for me. I feel like this is the most productive year of my life. And I truly am just so thankful for all the beautiful, gorgeous people I've met this year and became closer with.

[Laura]

Transformative year. It is for sure.

It is, and I'm excited. And then Pittsburgh is gonna have to be this freaking burn mark on my neck.

I hope you know that I was on the.

We were literally on the phone with each other when she did it. She's like.

[Aaron]

And I'm like, laura, if you see me, this ain't no hickey. I burnt my neck.

[Manny]

And that's like, a burn. The second I saw you, I was like, oh, you burned yourself. I didn't even.

[Aaron]

No one's gonna look at that and think that my entire neck was just, like, burning for the entire day. It hurts so bad.

[Manny]

Is that like a curling. What is that a straightener? Curling iron?

[Aaron]

Cur.

[Manny]

Okay. Okay. Like a little barrel.

[Aaron]

Yes.

[Laura]

And it just takes a second, like a literal.

[Manny]

And it will just get you together.

[Aaron]

It will get you hot.

[Manny]

Tools are scary.

[Aaron]

They are. I mean, honestly, it's not too bad. I've gotten some really bad, like, forehead.

[Laura]

Yeah. Like, my ears.

[Aaron]

I remember when I was younger, May. I don't know if you would get me sometimes. Mom definitely would.

[Manny]

You're like.

She would get my little ear.

[Manny]

Oh, like a little clamp.

Yes.

Oh, it hurts.

They're like, 400 degrees.

It takes, like, a little scissor. A million seconds, and it's over, and.

Then it burns all day, and it hurts. I love hot tools because they make your hair look amazing but good. Do they burn?

I used to straighten my hair in high school, actually.

[Laura]

Did you? Did you? Oh, yeah. You had emo.

[Manny]

Like, I had, like, emo hair, and I had like, it was really wavy.

[Laura]

All the emo boys straighten their hair, though. And you would always wanted that. Yep.

[Manny]

A little swoop, a little bit. So I would always do like this.

[Laura]

Like, you might even bring that back.

[Manny]

No, you sick fox. I'm not bringing that back. You guys. I literally, like, it was like my warp tour days, so it was very my Tumblr warp tour days. So I would be very. Every single morning, I have like my mom's straightener, straightener, and I'd be like this in the bathroom like that.

[Laura]

Okay.

[Aaron]

Eating.

[Manny]

She's like, literally just like this, like, gay.

[Aaron]

Something I wrote with something like.

So something different about that child.

She's staring at your other brother. So she's like, what's up with that one? What's with this one?

So I'll straighten it every day, but I never burn myself from the straightener because it's like, you only do a couple passes.

It's a bit easier, but if I.

Curled, it'd be over.

Well, I love that. My pig and pit is I. There's a new class at my gym where I do hot and yes, they have a new class now. It's called strength. And it's strength training. Like, huge, heavy weight.

[Manny]

Oh, like you're lifting.

[Laura]

It is lifting. It's lifting. You're lifting in there in the same heat, though. And I'm Greece. I can barely.

[Aaron]

Don't try to sign me up for one of those classes. And I love them, I really do. But if you're getting weight, I genuinely.

[Laura]

Don'T think it's made for you yet. I think you could build up to it. Oh, yeah, 100. But I don't think as of right.

[Aaron]

Now, I think I would die.

[Laura]

Yeah, I think I would probably pass out.

[Manny]

And you're like, heaving.

[Laura]

Okay. So in sculpt, which, by the way, a heated sculpt class, it's a. All the classes are 110 degrees, except for hot yoga. They go a little hotter, so it's deadly. But in sculpt, it's a high intensity interval training.

[Manny]

I thought that was training. This whole time it's hit. I thought sculpt this whole time was cardio with strength.

[Laura]

But you're okay. So in school, because it's so high cardio, your heart rate's normally around 175 to 180, which is pretty maxed out. Yeah, that's kind of like you just ran a mile because of the heat and how fast the workouts are. So you do three to five pound weights, but you're like this moving though. Got it right, so. And it's like rapid, like. Yeah, it's like Pilates rapid. Which totally toned me up this class. So I talked to him. I was like, okay. I was like, if I'm doing three to five pounds in sculpt, what do I do in here? He was like, 15.

[Manny]

Damn.

[Laura]

I was like, oh, my God.

[Aaron]

I said, no, no, no, no, no, no.

[Manny]

Like, what do you mean? You're like this?

[Laura]

No, my wrist. I said, girl, I do 10 when I'm not in.

[Manny]

You're like, 10 is my max ditch.

[Laura]

I'll do 10. I like tens. He said, Do 15. You always want to do something you almost can't do. That's how you get your gains. But he said, get an 8 to 10 in there and then get a 15. 15. So I can't lift my legs and arms today.

[Manny]

No, you're close.

[Laura]

It was my first.

[Manny]

Because you're actually. Because you're doing actual weightlifting.

[Laura]

Oh, yeah.

[Manny]

Weightlifting is a whole different breed.

[Laura]

And my heart rate was up. It's because the heat, you know, weightlifting in the heat is crazy, but insane. I thought it was the most fun thing ever and I'm gonna take it a bunch of times.

[Manny]

Okay. I love that. I'm glad. I also think that, like, it's like almost like a Pokemon. Like, you're just leveling up. Like, it's like now heated strength training. It's like, oh, because now you have what el. So now it's like, actually because you toned up from the last one, now you're gonna gain a little bit of muscle. So now you're gonna actually even be like more physically fit.

[Aaron]

Laura's about to be muscle mommy over here.

[Manny]

Honestly, like, you don't actually have to lift like that crazy to just have a little bit of a difference. Like, you don't even need to be like a bodybuilder, but, like, just enough to give it a little bit of tone. It just adds to it.

[Aaron]

You posted something on your story showing like a two year difference. Because, I mean, I've always seen you, you're just like skitty. Like, I've never. Yeah, but then when she showed like a picture, I was like, I thought the same thing.

[Manny]

I see Aurora all the time. I'm like, what?

[Aaron]

The abs?

[Laura]

But when I'm not flexing, I look just pretty normal, you know?

[Aaron]

I don't know. All my friends being are like, they always talk about your abs.

[Laura]

Oh my God.

[Aaron]

They talk about your.

[Laura]

[Aaron]

But yeah, they do. They love you.

[Manny]

I literally cannot bring up Laura. It can't be a woman. It can't be a man. Anyone that I'm friends with. Because everyone's like, your aunt, so hot.

I have you guys. I have so many family members that have literally been like, Laura's so hot. Like, she's so bad.

What is happening?

[Manny]

She's so bad. She's so bad. Tyler's so lucky. And I'm like, I've dealt with it.

[Aaron]

Since high school, Laura. And no one believes all my friends do.

[Manny]

All my friends, all my siblings, all my family.

[Laura]

I literally can't show you to any of my friends. Like, I literally cannot because they're. Those start foaming out of the mouth, drooling. They're like, your ass. Guys.

[Manny]

Act with her when, like, Tyler's not around and it's me and her only. I am always guys.

Okay, I did tell Manny this at I said, I'm so glad I'm friends with, like a gay guy because men do not even try it with me. Like, they do not. Like, if it was me and another girl, it's a win win for me. They'd be annoying. And it's not because I'm hot. Men doesn't impress me. I have a theory on that. It's a little inappropriate for the podcast. I don't want to be as blogged. But like, a man, A man hitting on me is not an ego boost for me because a man will hit on a dog or have sex with an animal. Yeah, for me, I'm just like, no.

[Aaron]

It'S not a compliment.

[Laura]

I'm annoying. Really?

[Manny]

Actually, you're pissing me off.

[Laura]

Me off, actually. So I'm like, you're literally repellent to a straight man because one, you're a grown ass dude. So one, they don't want to deal with it, but two, they don't want to deal with a gay because you know what a gay is gonna be like? Oh, and they're.

[Manny]

And the thing is, like, I'm gonna try. If they're, like, being awkward too, I'm gonna probably be over compensating to be more awkward to them. You know what I mean? What are you talking about? Like, be super. And they usually don't. It's kind of like repellent. Like you said. They're kind of like.

[Laura]

And I love that.

[Aaron]

Let's go bug someone else.

[Manny]

Yeah, they'll bug like two girls, which is really annoying. But it's the truth.

[Aaron]

It's easier to come up to, like, two girls.

[Manny]

Yeah. Than it is. And the thing is, like, if I'm not glam and I'm just, like, quiet, have a hat on, it's gonna be less clocky than when I'm, like, in this setting, you know, so they could be less likely to come up to us.

[Laura]

So that's what I love. But I posted that picture and I put, this did not take me six months. This did not take me nine months. This took me two and a half years, really, like, of doing these classes. Transform my body. It was real. Like, it wasn't appeal. No offense. I mean. But I'm just saying the truth. Like, I wanted to transform my body naturally, but find a way of doing it with something that I love. So I was like, I'll share my before and afters, but this took me over two years, guys. Yes. Like, this was not an overnight success for me, and I didn't even notice results until well into my second year.

[Manny]

Yeah.

[Aaron]

But I know someone's so consistent with.

[Manny]

Yeah, I agree.

[Laura]

Because this thing's actually the biggest key when it comes to, like, working out or when it comes to, like, having something transformative with your body. I've had a lot of, like, compliments in my trajectory of working out, like, where now, like, people treat me differently now with how I look compared to how they treated me before when I was not as fit.

[Aaron]

Wow.

[Manny]

So it does make a big difference. And it's. Again, it has to do with consistency and, like, going. Yeah, doing it. Like, I try to go to the gym three to four times a day. A week.

[Aaron]

A day.

[Manny]

I try to go three times, four times a week. And that's made a big difference for, like, being more transformative with, like, weightlifting and stuff like that. So it makes a big difference at.

[Laura]

Home is what gave me. Abs are made in the kitchen. They are. That's just the rule. Abs are made in the kitchen. So eating at home during the week and all my cooked meals are what transform my stomach.

[Manny]

Yeah.

[Aaron]

I'm so happy you didn't turn into someone that was like, I can never eat fast food.

[Manny]

Us all like this.

[Aaron]

We're like, she's still here.

[Laura]

But, yeah, no, it's. It's a lifestyle change. But, like, everything has to be in moderation for it to be consistent. You're not gonna be consistent if it's not realistic.

[Manny]

You also can eat anything if you want in consideration. Like, as long as you're moderate, you.

[Laura]

Can literally have anything truly. You can have literally anything truly. Truly.

[Manny]

Like, I just immediately always think like, the worst. So I shoot up and I'm looking at the camera and it's showing the recording of like, what it is because it records everything, right. I see a head by my car door. So I immediately jolt up from the bed. I'm freaking out. It's 1:30am back in Cali. 3:30 Chicago time. I'm still awake, obviously, because I'm not well, but like, the time is just like, different.

So I'm watching the video and I'm like, my heart's pounding. I'm like, oh my God, my God. Like there's someone at my car. So I'm about to start, you know, doing all the things, calling, whatever, anything.

It looked terrifying. He kind of looked older too.

[Manny]

Basically, it's like a blonde white man.

Is what it looked like because it was still dark before. The lights turn. I have floodlights on it on my. On my cameras too. So the second the floodlights turn on, it's an owl.

It is the biggest owl.

The biggest owl you've ever seen on my part. Like where the. Where the window is, like on that side. His head is above it. And then he's. Now the lights are on. He looks at the light, he starts crossing like walking over his little. All over my car. Just kind of like he was.

He was literally like stopping. But I swear to God, you guys, in the dark, his head looked like a man's head. So I'm literally having a panic attack. And then the second the light turned on and it's the owl stomping across my car, I started busting out laughing. So, like this little bastard gave me a heart attack. Yeah, no, literally, he gave me a heart attack. And so he's literally just like jumping around the video.

Of course I said it's because it's so cute. And I love. I actually do love owls a lot. Like barn owls. I think they're so gorgeous. Awesome. But I was just cracking because I was like. Okay, Aaron, first I want you to talk about how you're single now because you showed online you're in a relationship and you're. For how long were you in a relationship?

We were together for two years.

Was that your first serious relationship?

[Aaron]

That was my first serious relationship that I'VE ever had. And I'm actually like super excited to talk about it because I've like maybe like brought it up a little bit, talked about it and stuff, but I just haven't really gone on the Internet and I haven't said anything. And I think it's because I wanted to give it some time because I didn't want to be like one of those people that breaks up with their partner and then they go online.

[Laura]

Rachel and Matt from the Bachelor, he broke up with her in 24 hours. Started making posts before.

[Manny]

Yes.

[Laura]

They even knew that they were done. Like, started making all these posts. Her family didn't even know.

[Aaron]

Yeah, yeah, I, I did not want to do that. Like, and also just didn't want to be like one of those people who they like show, like, I'm single, I'm single, like F them. F them. Not in with them anymore. And then a couple weeks later, they're with each other.

[Laura]

Oh yeah. Yeah, that too. But you guys ended on good terms, so I think you didn't want to like hurt his feelings.

[Aaron]

It was very much that as well. Yeah, I think I was like really feeding into his, like, feelings. But I also felt guilty in a way because I broke up with him. And I will admit, I think it was, it was very unexpected. I mean, the same day that I did it, I really, it wasn't planned out at all. I just went with it. I had a gut feeling and I was like, enough is enough. We were together for two years. We met through my first roommate that I had in Santa Barbara. She was dating this guy and that was his roommate. And we met like they were.

[Laura]

The guys were best friends.

[Aaron]

The guys were best friends and roommates and me and my roommate were friends. So it's like a little two man or something. And we instantly just hit it off. And there were definitely some things in the beginning that probably should have paid attention to and flags. Maybe there were some flags. They were waving. They were right there in my face. But I was like, no, no, I was just, I was just like, no, it's okay. It's fine. It's just a misunderstanding standing. It's just a one time thing. But towards the end of it, I think what really got me was I moved back here to LA and in Santa Barbara, I think. Let's remember when I moved there, I did not know a single person in Santa Barbara. And it was just the people, my roommates that I met and the people that I met through them. So I think I came very emotionally attached to him and, like, it was.

[Laura]

Like, I, like, comfort person.

[Aaron]

He was my comfort person, and I think that's what happened. And. And for a while, I was just, like, I couldn't, like, think about, like, not having him in my life. Like, I. Everything would go downhill. It would just fall from there. So then when I move here and I'm surrounded by all these girls and starting to hang out and go out more, I start to realize not only do I not want to be in a relationship right now, like, I really just want to give myself time to do what I want to do.

[Laura]

Yeah.

[Aaron]

I'm on my own schedule. Schedule. I do what I want to do. If I want to go hang out with Laura Tyler, if I want to go hang out with my friends, if I want to rot in bed, go to work, gym, I could just do anything, which I always could have. But there's something about having a boyfriend.

Responsibility.

[Aaron]

It's a huge responsibility. And I never really.

[Manny]

It's a job in itself.

I never realized that. I never thought about it that way. I thought it was just, like, fun.

Like, I remember, and I do not mean to sound mean at all, or like, one of those girls, like, I hate my boyfriend, final boss, but he would be texting me, and I would just instantly be like. Like, dude, like, I just stop texting me. Like, I don't want to talk and stuff right now. Like, I'll call you later. I'll call you later. Like, dang. Yeah, that. That was sign number one.

Like, like, where it becomes a chore, I guess it's becoming a chore.

But when I was dating Ty, we were not like that at all. Like we went out 24 7, either together or separately. But either way we were going out because he moved away and went to a really party college town. And then I would go out every night with my girlfriend. Girlfriend's here.

You get it out of your system. So I think like if you're with a guy, which this guy Aaron was with, what they could have gone out. It is loser behavior because it's like you're supposed to use jealousy as a tool. Like, oh, why am I jealous of this? This must be something in there that I want. So let me explore that.

It's a natural. Jealousy is a natural human emotion and it is a guide to show us things that we're passionate about and that we want. And it's crazy though, that a lot of times we'll be mean to the.

People or it can become such a toxic thing.

And I'm like, the problem is those people are doing you a service. They are not only showing you something that you might want, but they're showing you that it's possible to have. Have it. So you know what I'm saying? So jealousy is an amazing thing if you use it the right way.

Yeah, I think that's something that comes with maturity, dude, is that realizing that the aloneness is actually really nice and it's peaceful and you can actually like appreciate yourself and like, once you learn that concept of like self, soothing self, love more, you're gonna be not as content happy with people controlling you.

Yeah, exactly. Like you're not gonna put up with that because you're okay by yourself. So being by yourself is going to make you happier than being with a controlling loser. So you're going to be more willing to let those people go. And whenever you are, because you're young, you haven't really learned that a lot of times.

Like, so you're willing to keep jumping into things or to keep someone around or keep around a really nasty, toxic person in order to fulfill that, you know, comfort, which your ex was not nasty or toxic at all. It was a comfort person because you didn't want to be alone there. You know what I mean?

Yeah. But that is something I was really grateful about. Like I, I felt like I was the one who was showing more jealous tendencies.

The people. I, that is the biggest thing. I have met so many just like cool, unique, awesome personalities while living here and just people who are so open, so creative.

That was also one of my favorites when I moved here from Alabama.

The boiling pot of people here in the diversity. And like it's diversity, not just an ethnicity, it's just diversity and ideas and minds and cultures and what they're working on and what they're creating because there's so many options here. So that was also one of my first.

And it's like, it's the best thing. And it's. I don't think people who like grew up here in la, they like truly realize how lucky they have it. And that kind of goes for like any big city like I can imagine imagine like if you grew up in New York or like I don't know, Chicago, Seattle, anything like that. Like it feels like that. But growing up Montgomery, Alabama, I don't know, like there, there was no diversity there. Yeah, but I just love the people. God, if I moved out la, let's be realistic.

What's two more things that you had missed the most?

Also someone told me, I want to tell you this, we would have to go all the way to Englewood, but apparently Englewood has the best barbecue food.

That's the only thing. Okay, so people food. And then I really am just going to say probably like social life here.

The fact that we can go to a club on a Tuesday and it's.

Like all movie premieres come out on Thursday here, not Friday. You see any movie you want to see on, you know, we get on first. We get everything. LA gets every concert, every.

We got Disneyland, Universal, everything.

It's like, what do you want to do? Because we can do it. And it's all the tips of your finger, like right at the tips.

It's a city of opportunity here.

So in Alabama there's like nothing to do. You want me to tell you what we did in high school? College? Got in the back of a picket truck and hung out in the parking lot. Dude, that is it. Or no mud rotting.
