Yeah, we are def. Heavily, heavily inspired by dropouts because we did a little segment with them where we were doing games, but then they. They decided to spook us down. They decided to get us together and they showed photos from our past and they're like, you should explain this photo to us.

And they were like, deep on our Instagram, which neither of us. We were both like, I cannot believe you found these pictures. Like, we did not know gagged, like.

And I was like. And I. And I remember these times, like. And I do remember a lot of them so vividly, but I'm like, just see it to get jolted back to 9 scream.

[Laura Lee]

I scrump.

The screams we scrumpt were scrumptious. Like, honestly, it was fucking insane. So we each screenshot some photos from our past and we're going to show them to each other and see what we think and what actually happened from the past. So we pulled up some spooks, but Laura hasn't seen the ones I've chosen and I haven't seen them at. Laura chosen.

I'm going to do a combined peek and pit. Because it is a good thing and it's like a spooky thing at the same time. So first and foremost, Denki's Boba, the Boba shop. I know I keep talking about it, but something we're very, very proud of. And so, you know, this is the shop in Chula Vista with my brother that he created and my parents. And like all of us, really, we chipped in to make this happen. Right? So it's been blown out and it's continued to stay like, blown out, which has been so fucking cool. The fact that they get so inundated and it seems to be like the second, like the late afternoon hits, it's like busy to the closing, like literally busy the entire time. This last Saturday that was like a few days ago was like the biggest day yet. Even more than the opening, like money made. So it was like, holy shit. So we're also gagged. So the funny thing, the part that's like the pit of it is that like they. Because it's a new business, there's like obviously constant little kinks that you tweak that you don't know until you're actually running the business. So it's like something that you kind of like, okay, you learn and you grow and you learn, you grow, you learn, you grow. And it's like, let's say like, okay, cool, we need another Blender. Because that smooth machine can take a long time. So let's do another blender to have it. Or, like, let's have another station for this. Or. Oh, like, let's have lockers for the employees, but their stuff in, like, we, like, it's all these things that you don't really realize until, like, the work is actually happening, if that makes sense in an actual freestanding store. So the part that's the pit kind of is that my parents have to keep coming from where they live to go help in the store because it gets so busy. And I, like, feel for them because they love it. Of course, they love to help Nick and help them work. But they're like, my mama protects me, like, 11:30pm and she's like, just leaving this, and I'm like, mom at 11:30.

[Laura Lee]

So what time do they close? Like 10. And so are they just, like, getting consistent? Consistent walk ins.

[Manny MUA]

Like, so it'll literally be like. And the gag is too, like, what time they open at 11. Open 11.

[Laura Lee]

11 to 10. Yeah.

[Manny MUA]

So. And it's funny because, like, my aunts will go in, my uncles, my cousins, like, all a lot. A lot of my family now has been trained. If they need extra help, like, literally, like, that's how crazy it's gotten. And so it's just, like, been super, super busy, which has been such a blessing. But it's such a learning curve because, like, for example, the other day they were like, we went through 25 gallons in one day of milk, and so we had to go to, like, Vons and get it, and we were out. And then we ran out of boba one of these days, and, like, they'll run out of things, and it's like, I feel bad because, like, the customer is kind of, like, spooked by that. But it's like, it's so new and it's so fresh still that it's just like, kind of little growing pains as, like, the brand grows and how and Denkies continues. But the fact that it is so busy and people love it and they love the drinks, they love the atmosphere, they think it's absolutely incredible is, like, such a huge blessing and so freaking cool. And that's why it's like, it's really my peak. But it's just funny how, like, I was kind of tossing in the pit of, like, it being, like, so blown out sometimes where it's like, my family's literally helping. Helping till, like, midnight.

[Laura Lee]

That's so my brother will leave the.

[Manny MUA]

Store at, like, 2am wow.

[Laura Lee]

It's a labor of love, you know, doing something like this. And then I think, like, if you're lucky and able to keep it facilitating at that speed, like, it can turn into a huge payoff. Totally. For. For anytime you do anything on your own, though, it will become a labor of love.

[Manny MUA]

So it's just crazy.

[Laura Lee]

It's. It's crazy. I mean, you know what to expect.

[Manny MUA]

Not at all, like, the goal. Like, he was like, I'll be really happy if we do like, 200 drinks a day. Like, let's say 200, like, making that many.

[Laura Lee]

Yeah.

[Manny MUA]

Drinks a day. Because that is, like, consistent. Like, that's a lot. Making 200 drinks. They're like doing like 600 drinks.

[Laura Lee]

Whoa. So they're kind of like, that's a lot.

[Manny MUA]

So it's like a big difference.

[Laura Lee]

That's a lot of drinks.

[Manny MUA]

Yeah. So it's like they're doing days where they're doing 600 drinks. And so it's like from being like, he was like, so excited to, like, he was like, I hope that we get 200. That would be, like the best. Like, that'd be amazing. And now it's triple that. That's amazing how busy and blown out it is. And it's also like, a lot of the things to you guys. I know a lot of the full fam and chula visa go to denkies. And we really, really appreciate it and we hope that you love the drinks and the vibe in the atmosphere because it is fierce in there and the drinks are sickening.

Amen to that even, sister.

But it is. It is really cool. That's been like, I've just been. Of course, every day I'm kind of like, how's the shop going? What's. What's going on? Like, I just want to, you know, keep in the know. And they're like, we're blown out.

We're out of mangoes. We're out of everything.

It's like the cho honey going.

I think people, like, think that's really fierce and so they keep. It's delicious running flamingos.

What about you? We'll start with my more interesting one. My pit is. Okay. So you know how baby pisses all over my house?

[Manny MUA]

I do know. I do.

Well, he's gotten a lot better because he's getting older now and he's more like just chilling out. He's chilling out. He's just doing, like, Little. Yes. Guys, I took him to the vet. He's not broken. He's just an. But he does little sprays more now than full pee. So before we're dealing with both, we're dealing him spraying all of my house. And then anytime I found a blanket or, like, anything that smell like me, he would just do a full pee on it. Yes. He owns me. He does. Because he's very, very, very cute.

[Manny MUA]

He's literally like, that's mine.

Is he not the cutest thing?

[Manny MUA]

Oh, he's like the cutest little angel.

He is sweetest cat.

So you'll handle. Like, you'll handle the pee because he's such a sweet.

He literally drools on Laura when he's so excited.

He is infatuated with me. I love him so much, though. Actual, like, yeah, like, big.

And so he's a very interesting cat. So I have started training him to use the litter box, and it has been working. Like, I put them in there, and I kind of just, like, put my hands over them like, you're not coming out to go tt? And he'll go, tt and so now we've caught him a few times going to TT in the litter box on his own. So, like, I've never trained a cat, trained a cat use a litter box in my life. And I've had cats my whole entire life. I'm doing it. It's starting to work. So we're not dealing with a full piece anymore, but he does this little sprays every now and again. Like, every other day, we'll find, like, one little spray. And that is nothing to clean up compared to what I'm dealing with. Okay, Right. Like, because it'll just get on the hardware. I was wiping up with Clorox. Here is the thing. So this morning, I could tell he came in my bedroom. I was getting dressed for the podcast. I could tell he was looking for somewhere to pee. He gets that look in his eye, like, I know you know it. No, you know I know. And no, sir, get out. I know what you're trying to do. He loves to pee in my closet because it smells like me. Yeah, of course he loves it. So he was looking the spot. I was like, get out of my closet. You're trying to be in here. Yeah. Oh, yeah, honey. He'd be perusing, backing his little tail up to stuff, shaking it. I'm like, no. So I took. I put him in the hallway, and I closed My closet door finished getting ready, and Ty starts screaming. As soon as I threw him out into the hallway, he's like. He was like, it's raining piss in the house. And I was like, what? I ran out there in the hallway. Sorry. He backed his butt off off the balcony ledge and decided I can. I can picture it to spray down. You know those console tables I have right when you walk in? And we always have our bags and purses and, like, everything on them. The two mirrors.

Yes.

Coated all of that. From the top floor of our house.

[Manny MUA]

It just rained down.

[Laura Lee]

Rained down. It rained down. It got over his briefcase, my purse, our mirrors, our wooden console. I mean, girl. The high shoes got it. The high shoes, too.

It was just like the perfect angle over the stair banister. And he backed his butt up. I never.

Today.

[Laura Lee]

That was today. Right before we came, we were scrubbing everything with Clorox to get the piss off. He sprayed my restoration hardware wooden table. Oh, yeah, buddy, it's time to go. So we threw him away. I'm just kidding. No, he's in my house right now pissing on something for sure. What? But, yeah, it just, like, his little butt went right over. Right, perfectly over the banister, and he let it rip. And he. It entice. Standing down there, he just sees piss raining down from the top, and he's like, what the. And I was like, I knew it. I knew he was looking for a spot to pee, and I caught your ass. And now everything in my house is coated in a shower.

[Manny MUA]

Lord, that is literally the funniest. That's worse, isn't it?

[Laura Lee]

Horrific, but so funny at the same time.

[Manny MUA]

Because, like, I'm just. It just reminds me when I was, like, when I was staying at your house during the fires, and I went up because I heard a crash, and I was like, it's. I know. Zaya did something upstairs. The cats. I run upstairs to see her, and she's walking to me so slow, and Boo's like this with his tail back, and he's, like, arched. And I'm like, what the fuck did you do, Zaya? And I was like. Knew that she had tried it. And I was just like. It's just funny seeing Boo in that situation because I can literally envision it now that I've been there. Know exactly what you're talking about. And I'm just pissing off the ledge on, like, that you. Because you have, like, that little rug that goes down. It's.

Yep. He backed his little butt up. And now I wish he Would have just pissed in my closet because it would have been way easier to clean up because pisses went ever, like, sprayed down everywhere. It's flattering down on everything. So y'all. Lord praise baby.

I'm gonna say something in heaven with this cat.

Yeah, it's fierce. It's fierce. But this is, like, the better days of it, which is what? That's crazy. Like, I have dealt with so much with this. Like, we are now in the home stretch. We're in the good. This is the easy. Because he doesn't even pee in my house every day. I mean, he just. Every now and again, he'll find, like, a little corner and he'll give it a little squirt. You know what I mean? I'm like. And the crazy thing is, he knows better. He knows better because anytime that he has. One time, he peed on me, but anytime I was walking past the bar stools and he backed his butt up. He was sitting in the barstool and he backed his butt off. And as I walked by, he sprayed me, like, and it got. As I walked by.

In your eyes. Just imagine it.

No. So he knows better because when he does it, he runs.

He was like, got her.

[Laura Lee]

He knows better. But cat piss saga continues, girl.

The cat piss saga truly is so fierce. And it's funny because, like, I. Zaya has. She knows better, too. And I think just animals, they do know better, but they want to see what they can get away with.

Yeah, totally.

They want to know. Thank you. Because Zaya knows that she has to pee on her little pads. And she has.

So territorial.

Yes. And so is she. And I feel like that is, like, the thing. It's really more of a territorial thing, where it's like, they know better, but they're like, their territorial thing. It. It precedences.

Also, he has his own litter box. Because people are like, you have to, like, give him his own space, baby. He got it. He's got it. He is a palate. A sweet even. He has the best litter box in the house. And luckily, he is using it more. But it's the little tinkles, you know, it's the extras we gotta get. Oh, and my back to back. My peak is. Oh, I watched the movie Companion that came out. Oh, yeah, it was really good. I liked it. And I'm pretty cynical.

[Manny MUA]

What's it about again?

[Laura Lee]

So it's about. It's not futuristic. It's kind of, like, based in this time, like, current times. But he's like, Dating this girl and she's so infatuated. Loves him, and they're like the perfect couple. But, like, as the movie goes on, she. I knew going into it because I watched the preview, but she's a robot a lot. And, like, humans created a companion for people who can't, like, find a partner. And so basically, you program this partner. Yeah, I'll send you the link. Yeah, I'm gonna.

Go ahead. Go ahead.

And they're called companions and they look real human and like, you program them to be what you want, and then it turns. It all goes wrong and turns into a murderous smitteres movie. And there's a mystery. I won't blow it for you. But it's good. It's a good movie. And you know those movies because they're kind of sci fi esque. They can go one way or another. This one was really good.

[Manny MUA]

Like, it went into a good direction.

[Laura Lee]

You know what I liked about it? It was there was a lot of comedy in it. Oh, like, yeah, I like that. And it was more of a suspenseful kind of movie. And like, sometimes, you know, if the writing's really good, they can bring, like, comedy into it. And they did a really, really, really good job with it.
