Hi, this is free thinking through the fourth turning. I'm sacha stone. From Cancel Culture to Communism, the race to normal begins now.
Donald J. Trump
Our nation is witnessing a merciless campaign to wipe out our history, defame our heroes, erase our values, and indoctrinate our children. Angry mobs are trying to tear down statues of our founders to face our most sacred memorials and unleash a wave of violent crime in our cities. Many of these people have no idea why they're doing this, but some know exactly what they are doing. They think the American people are weak and soft and submissive. But no, the American people are strong and proud, and they will not allow our country and all of its values, history and culture to be taken from them. One of their political weapons is Cancel Culture, driving people from their jobs, shaming dissenters, and demanding total submission from anyone who disagrees. This is the very definition of totalitarianism, and it is completely alien to our culture and to our values. And it has absolutely no place in in the United States of America.

Donald j. Trump, july 4, 2020. It's been 10 years since the purges began, and I still have a hard time believing it actually happened. Did so many of my friends really go along with it? Did institutions, corporations, and all of Hollywood allow themselves to be shamefully cowed by the fanatical mob? Yes. Not only did it happen, but it's become the new normal on the establishment left. In Hollywood, in culture and government, everyone is still too afraid to say what they really think. Just appearing at the America 250 or the Kennedy center will still ruin your career. The only difference now is that the wheel of oppression keeps spinning. Now it's illegal immigrants, now it's free Palestine. I don't know why I didn't see it sooner, this direct line from Cancel Culture to communism. I thought it was mass hysteria after Trump's shocking win in 2016, and that eventually, as with all other episodes of mass hysteria in the past, it would burst. We could all go back to the way things used to be, where we weren't fighting a virtual civil war. But now that three Democratic socialists won their primaries in New York against one of the party's shining stars, Dan Goldman, all because of Israel. What we're seeing is communism, but merged with woke tyranny and radical Islamic,

is essentially the perfect storm to destroy America. Now we can clearly see what 10 years of cancel Culture have done to the left. It has given them enormous power to force compliance, not just to those of us who dissented, but to members of Their own party. In other words, the mob is about to come for them, too. What do they want? What the millionaires and billionaires have. They want what's coming to them after years of indoctrination that told them that they are oppressed because of the color of their skin, their gender ideology, or their ethnicity. America, they were told, was founded on white supremacy and colonization. And they're owed something for it. Here's a video with Don Lemon talking to a Mamdani voter in New York.
Tom Cotton
Got a question for you. What do you think about rich people?
Sacha Stone
Billionaires?
Mamdani Voter
Yeah. They need to go. Why is it I am a. I graduated in 2023 with a fine arts major with a minor in art history. Why is it that I was taught in school that the elite would reinvest their money into the arts, into society, into the people that were essentially building and hoarding their wealth, allowing them to hoard their wealth. I'm sorry, now we don't see that everything is hidden online. And like, you just have to, I don't know, either go into a trade or get lucky.
Tom Cotton
You think they're paying enough taxes?
Mamdani Voter
Absolutely. Not in this city.
James Carville
No.
Mamdani Voter
We have such a bad homeless problem. And like you have rich billionaires, they
Sacha Stone
seem to have no place for the working class that Mamdani is always talking about. Not if they're white. Bernie Sanders might have cared about the white working class, but not these folks. Some animals are more equal than others. And with this new fundamentalism, it is meant only to redistribute wealth. Not from the rich to the poor, but from the white majority to the marginalized minorities. It isn't their fault, exactly. They've been indoctrinated. None of us noticed. This was happening right around Obama's second term, 2012. Racism, they believed, had infected the majority in America and it had to be rooted out. They had to be re educated on correct history. They were not taught the American dream. They were taught the American nightmare. Here is a video from Katherine.

A few weeks ago, we all saw the same footage. A young man called Henry Novak, barely out of childhood, handcuffed on the ground, begging the police for help. And what followed was the confusion of our commentators as they struggled to explain how our young police officers, sworn to protect the public, could behave in such a way. No one seemed to have a convincing answer. But when you spend a lifetime in schools, it's pretty clear what's going on. Those young police officers are not a special case. Their collateral damage. And the pattern runs far further afield than policing. Last September, Charlie Kirk was shot. And within hours, young people were celebrating all over the Internet. Despite the fact that his two little children would have to grow up without their father, many of us looked on in disbelief. What has happened to the moral core of our young people? Something has changed profoundly in how our young people see the world. Those police officers were not evil. They were not incompetent. They were terrified. Terrified of being seen as racist. Charlie Kirk held views young people find objectionable, and so his death was cause for celebration. Henry Novak's attacker was a brown man, so the police's deepest instinct to protect the victim was overridden by their most powerful fear, being accused of racism. The police are not special. They're what? Some of our young people have become so consumed by white guilt that they will do crazy, irrational and inhumane things rather than risk being seen as racist. Unless we try to explain this change in our moral core and the moral core of our young people and why we are witnessing this culture change across many Western countries, we cannot pretend to care about the West. Our profound lack of interest in the moral values surrounding our children has caused our civilizational collapse. The reason the younger generation see things as they do is because they have been taught to view people in two camps. Those who are oppressed and those who are oppressors. And in their eyes, Charlie Kirk was an oppressor, so his death did not warrant grief. The man who killed Henry Novak belonged to the oppressed class, so the police's job was to protect him, not the dying man on the ground. This is not cruelty or incompetence. This is white guilt. And we are the ones who have taught this to our children. We, the boomers, the Gen Xers, the older millennials. We are responsible for not teaching our children the difference between right and wrong. We. We are the ones who immersed our children in a culture of victimhood, which is at odds with the culture of. Of personal responsibility. We all grew up in a culture we've very stupidly taken for granted. In fact, what little they know of history will be all about black and brown people fighting for equality against the white man. Women fighting men for the vote, gay and trans people fighting for various rights. Our young people have been taught that history is simply one long story about various groups struggling under the oppressive dead white man. Out with Dickens, Shakespeare, Kipling and Wordsworth. We must decolonize. History is taught through an oppressor lens. The triangular slave trade. White men held the power. What about Britain ending the slave trade? More than a quick mention, if at all.
Larry O'Connor
No.
Katherine
What of the Arab slave trade that lasted three times as long as the triangular slave trade?
Mamdani Voter
Mm.
Katherine
No. How can children feel that they belong to their country when they are immersed in an educational culture that teaches that their country is merely an evil oppressor? Children are the future and yet we are teaching them to have contempt for their elders whose oppressive world needs overthrowing by a new world of young arrogant anti racists who know better than we do. We older Westerners are cutting off the branches upon which we sit because of the guilt some of us feel for being white and privileged. We look at Mandami, the mayor of New York, and Zach Polanski, the very popular leader of the Green Party Amongst the under 30s in the UK, and we wonder what on earth is going on? Why are our young people voting for and cheerleading these Marxist and really quite extreme politicians? Few of us understand how much the online world needs reinforces this culture of the oppressor versus the oppressed. Victimhood saturates every video, whether it's about a foreign war, transphobia or racism. And white guilt lingers everywhere. It should not come as a surprise that our young people's moral core does not recognize complexity or nuance. They have been formed by school and the online world to make one judgment only, oppressor or oppressed, good or bad, and they are desperate not to be seen as racist. We all need to be brave enough to teach children a sense of duty and service, love of country, gratitude over entitlement, hard work over laziness, forgiveness over vengeance. And our children will reject the oppressor and oppressed narrative instinctively. They will know in their hearts that dignity comes through owning one's moral agency, through being responsible and sacrificing for the betterment of the whole.

And now they finally found their magic man in Zorhan Momdani, who is everything they need wrapped up in one charismatic leader. He's TikTok friendly, he goes viral, he's pop culture literate, and most importantly, he's the wokest of the woke. He speaks their language, he wants what they want. He goes to the Pride Parade, but not the Israel Parade, becoming the first mayor of the city in 60 years not to attend. For podcast listeners, a picture of Zorhan Mamdani at the Pride Parade and says all of New York City is gay today. Thank you Mayor Mamdani. He doesn't just want to be mayor of New York. He wants to be a worldwide inspirational leader, which fits the new left well since they don't really want to unite with the other Half of America so much as with those other countries that are ideologically aligned. You know, like 1984. Podcast listener is a picture of Mamdani in a pool with a tweet by Robert Sterling. Mamdani is a generational political talent. The energy he brings to local retail politics is unlike anything I've ever seen. I can't stand the guy. He's going to be the downfall of New York and his movement might destroy America itself, but we ignore his gifts at our own peril. It might seem like one big party, but this is a disaster for the Democrats. Everyone knows that any Democrat who goes against them will be stalked, swarmed and harassed before getting primaried out. All the Republicans have to be is the more normal side and they can win. Some Democrats are now sounding the alarm that Democratic socialists are overtaking the party and will alienate people. Even James Carville.
James Carville
Mr. Vallad in the New York Times reported and I have the quote right here. I'll get to it. She is against passed off all their views. She has attacked interracial relationships in the American flag. Lady, I ain't in the same party as you. I'm sorry, I just not. And I actually do think it's time for Democrats to talk the S word schism. I don't want to be in a political party that denies the right of the state of Israel to exist. That's just not. I just can't do that. I'm sorry. It's just not doable. They are a great gift to Donald Trump.
Sacha Stone
No Democrat is safe from the mob. Not even one of their most progressive politicians, Scott Wiener in San Francisco, who was just harassed in public for not being sufficiently pro Palestine and obviously for being Jewish.
Scott Wiener Supporter
Scott, I think your legislation on trans, on trans issues and your legislation speaking specifically protecting queers on the sex offender registry is fantastic. Like, I, I really applaud you for that and I think you deserve to be here for that. But I think you're leg. I think your, your housing policy and specifically your housing policy aligning with gimby's. And I think your, your policy and
Scott Wiener Critic
I think your policy on the genocide in Gaza and I think your policy on the genocide in Gaza. What's up? It's terrible. I think you do not belong here. I think you do not belong here. You do not belong here, Scott, anymore. It sucks. Because you've been wonderful. You've been wonderful for trans people. And you've been terrible. And you've been terrible. You've been terrible. You've been terrible at Gaza. You do not belong here anymore. Scott and it breaks my heart. It breaks my heart. It breaks my heart that someone who wrote good legislation for queers is so terrible on Gaza. Scott, do you have anything to say? Do you have anything to say about Gaza?

Dan Goldman was banned from a coffee shop for the same reason just before getting voted out. The language in this post is the true identity of today's Woke Left. Mamdani and his acolytes shield their true selves behind a warm smile in a viral video, but there can be no mistaking the language of the Cancel Culture Left podcast listeners. A picture of Dan Goldman with the following hey Rep. Dan Goldman, we see that you stopped by our coffee shop today for a coffee. Do you see how it doesn't taste like genocide juice? Or are you still having a hard time telling the difference? See, here at Poetica we don't serve racists, fascists, homophobes, genocide enablers or anyone in between. Too bad we didn't recognize you right away or we would have turned you away. We issued you a refund. We don't need your money. It's probably coming from aipac. Anyways, enjoy your loss on Tuesday. Don't ever come to poetica with 1700 likes. The Democrats know what this means. Even the ladies of the View know.
Avila Chevalier Commentator
Well one of your new candidates, Avila Chevalier, who won last night, wants to abolish the police in all prisons. She was asked four times, how would you deal with somebody who committed murder? Then what is your plan? And she dodged and didn't answer. She tweeted that Obama is evil, Biden is a rapist and a war criminal in bleep. Kamala Harris these were not people running on an affordability agenda. These were left wing extremists that were elected last night at the expense of moderate Democrats. So a seat that you guys do need to win if you want to take back the House.
Sacha Stone
I don't like the way she sounds at all.
Avila Chevalier Commentator
Well that's what I'm saying.
Katherine
Well, she's not the party, but she's one person.
Avila Chevalier Commentator
But that is the point is these, these candidates that were endorsed by dsa, the Democratic Socialists were extreme candidates and I've seen this happen in my party where the extreme right wing takes over and you can't get your party back. I would warn you all, this is very dangerous and it could risk you losing the House.
Sacha Stone
The DSA wins in New York were driven by a small group of mostly white pampered college kids who are very online. It is the fault of the Democrats for not seeing the accident before it happened. They might have fought harder for Goldman if they had any idea just how bad it would be for them if these candidates actually won. And it's bad. Here is David Sacks from the all in podcast.
David Sacks
But let's look at what these DSA candidates stand for. So let's look at what their platform is. They actually say they want to abolish the Senate. They want to abolish the carceral state. That means basically police forces and prisons. They want to abolish ICE and grant amnesty for all. They do not support any deportations whatsoever. They want to replace the President and Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary that is chosen by and subordinate to Congress, which basically now, I guess this means this House. And with respect to House elections, they want to abolish the Electoral College. They want to replace the two party system with a multi party democracy. And they want to expand the House of Representatives, implement proportionate representation and ranked choice voting in all elections. So this would be a total makeover of our constitutional system. They want to free Palestine. They want public ownership of major corporations. They want to defund the Department of War. This is a very radical organization and you would laugh at a lot of these types of proposals, but you can't really laugh at it anymore because these guys are taking over the Democratic Party. And you can see the Democratic establishment is in complete panic right now because they have lost control of the party to Zoram Mamdani and his allies. So Jason, like you said, I mean, let's take this one race here, New York 13. You've got this ally of Hakeem Jeffries, longtime incumbent Congressman Espalad I guess is his name. He is the chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and he was defeated by an unemployed 32 year old PhD candidate. She's never had a job. She's been in college for 10 years, I guess writing this PhD thesis. And I think even by DSA standards, she might be kind of a lunatic. So she has declared that she wants to end Western civilization. She wants to eradicate Western civilization.
Bill Maher
Wait a second.
James Carville
What?
Sacha Stone
We're soaking in it.
David Sacks
Yeah. She actually said she used the American flag as a napkin to clean her hands.
Music Performer
Oh.
David Sacks
She attended a rally one day after October 7th celebrating the slaughter of Israeli civilians. I mean, she's very pro Palestine, but even to the point of celebrating Israeli civilian deaths. She calls white women ugly colonizers. She's called for the complete defunding of the police and abolishing all prisons and borders. Doesn't Want a single deportation, hates the police, openly calls them pigs or has on social media before, calls U.S. service members war criminals and says the U.S. is a disgrace of a country. She's written favorably about communism and seizing the means of production. And on and on and on. So this is basically the new Democratic Party. It's going to be. Even if the Democrats do take the House in November and Hakeem Jeffries becomes Speaker, this is going to prove to be a huge headache for him managing all these new DSA members because they do not actually see the traditional establishment wing of the Democratic Party as an ally. They see it as an obstacle. This is the DSA co chair Josh Block said, we're using the Democratic Party as a ballot access vehicle.
Sacha Stone
Oh my God.
David Sacks
Not because we share its goals. We build our own organization, get elected under the Democratic label, caucus with Democrats when it's useful, and push our own agenda from the inside. And we see the Democratic establishment as an obstacle, not a home. So the DSA is coming from the Democratic Party. It controls the base now. It's where all the energy is. I think this takeover will continue. I think the DSA will gradually take over more and more of the Democratic Party. And all I can say to these establishment Democrats is play stupid games, win stupid prizes. You supported this open border policy that brought in this wave of mass migration that is a huge part of the base of this new DSA wing. Mamdani would not have won the mayoral election in New York if it had just been native born New Yorkers voting. It was the mass migrant vote in New York that swung it to Mamdani. It's not exclusively the DSA base. It's the migrants, plus these overeducated white progressives who I say over educated because they're more downwardly mobile. They end up going to work in academia or NGOs, that kind of thing. They're hard left wing, they're kind of the vanguard. And it's this combination of these recent college graduates who are kind of the organizers and this migrant movement who are really taking over the Democratic Party.
Sacha Stone
What people went through in Stalin's Soviet Union or China's Cultural Revolution is worse than anything any American has ever or will ever suffer. But let's not kid ourselves. We've already seen what the left will do. From three assassination attempts on Trump's life to the assassination of Charlie Kirk to their violent riots for the past 10 years, burning Teslas trying to throw Trump off the ballot. The impeachments, the indictments. Now they're Threatening Nuremberg like trials and another impeachment. Should they take back power in Congress? And the right should do everything they can to make sure they don't. We know there are no limits on what they will do. We know because history tells us. George Orwell told us. We've seen this movie many times before. Utopias only have two paths forward. They collapse or they become more authoritarian. For podcast listeners, a quote from 1984. Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the party is always right. These folks don't even know what words mean anymore, much less the point of 1984. No one ever taught them why communism or tyrannical mobs are bad. So why wouldn't they behave this way? I noticed it for the first time when a small group of fanatics at Evergreen College chased Brett Weinstein off campus, calling him a racist and holding the administrators hostage until they gave them what they. This is a protest here. Our presence now is our protest. We come here as students against campus

I am committed to equity. I'm committed. I believe, as anyone on this Facebook Live, I happen to disagree with other folks on this campus about the wave there. Okay? But I'm not an unreasonable person. I'm not uninterested. I'm not uninformed about history. I know the implications of these things. I have arrived where? I've arrived from a different route. I've arrived there through academic study. I know why racism happens.
Sacha Stone
We lived racism.
Katherine
We don't have to study it to understand it.
Sacha Stone
We live it.

And the issue is you think scientific proof everything.

What about all the racist scientific.

Cancel culture. We hear that in the news a lot these days. The idea that we all need safe spaces from mean words, trigger warnings on op EDS or TV shows that might constitute a microaggression. This, this is the language of the campus social justice seminar. But increasingly it's the language of our workplace and our culture. We saw an instance of it just last week at the New York Times. I published an op ed there that said simply, while we respect peaceful protesters, we can have zero tolerance for looting and rioting. And if the police are overwhelmed or outnumbered, the national guard and if necessary, federal troops have to restore order. It's got support from a large majority of Americans, if you believe the polls. New York Times published it. The editorial page editor defended it publicly. The publisher defended the decision publicly. But a woke child mobile at the New York Times rose up and demanded heads on pikes. They demanded that the op ed be taken down. They demanded that the grownups, maybe I should say the supposed grownups, run. The New York Times apologize. And that is exactly what happened In a what could only be called a struggle session from the cultural revolution in the greatest traditions of Mao, the publisher of the New York Times fired the editorial page editor. He reassigned the deputy editorial page editor. He apologized, prostrating himself in front of the woke child mob. And he said that we'll do much better. And the new editorial page editor has told everyone at the Times, if you see anything that gives you the slightest pause, please contact me immediately if you have any trigger warnings. Don't worry, I'll find a safe space for you. I mean, the New York Times has made itself a laughing stock. But this is no laughing matter, because the cancel culture threatens the very principles of free inquiry and open debate upon which our society is based. And you see other manifestations of the cancel culture all across the country today. Today, in many cases, they have adopted the spirit of a Jacobin mob in the French Revolution, in a reign of terror, trying to completely erase our culture and our history.
Sacha Stone
Only the Republicans have taken a consistent and principled stand against this madness and done so since it began. The Democrats, however, have stuck their head in the sand and denied it even exists. That's why they can't address crime in the major cities, or the rapes by illegal immigrants, or why their wheel of oppression has amounted to the party standing for only three three socialism Illegal immigration and Palestine. No one seemed to take it seriously on the left because they never took Cancel Culture seriously. No, we weren't being slaughtered by the millions or thrown into gulags, but we built this new civilization online and with it the power to decide who can participate, who is accepted, and who must be hurled into the public square for character assassination and career ruination,

what the consequences were. It was wrong and no one had the guts to stop it. And now those chickens have come home to roost and it's the Democrats problem. They'd better get used to selling Democratic socialism or else. This is what happened the last time the centrists went up against the socialists. Here is Al Franken and Sarah Silverman at the Democratic National Convention.

Two years later, Al Franken would be chased out of the Senate by all the top Democrats caught up in Cancel Culture and unable to stop the mass hysteria that drove it. And now we have yet more insurrectionary behavior. With Zorhan Mamdani and some governors refusing to comply with the Supreme Court's ruling on sending back Haitian immigrants and many states aligning to protest the Great American State Fair, it looks like we have a Democratic Party that wants to secede from the union again. For podcast listeners, a tweet. 10 states. Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington and Pennsylvania have confirmed they will not send an official delegation to the Great American State Fair on the National Mall in celebration of America's 250th. Nine of the states are led by Democratic governors, with Vermont being the only Republican governed state to decline involvement so far. Notably, Governor Josh Shapiro tops the list of the highest paid governors in the old days of Bernie Sanders Democratic Socialism. They understood that taking care of American citizens required a secure border if they wanted to sell programs like Medicare for all all. Well, not now. The new kids want it all and believe they're entitled to it all borders. Who needs those? They are oppressed and therefore deserving of our tax dollars to absolve us of our white colonizer guilt. The big picture here should be frightening for all Americans. Unchecked migration with the oppressor oppressed mindset while also demanding the government and the billionaires pay for all of them. That is what the Democrats will have to sell to the American public because the Cancel Culture machine that they helped build and did nothing about will demand it. The gray champion rides again. Podcast listeners, a tweet from Donald J. Trump, quote, the communists are finally making their move. I've been waiting and preparing for this for a long time. It's easy to be a communist. All you have to say is, I'll give you everything. But that means you're going to take it away from others that have earned it over thousands of years. That ideology has not worked once the game is on. Enjoy watching President Donald J. Trump. The Republicans have a unique opportunity now to change the course of history. They've been given a gift by the left, whether they choose to take it or not. They're experiencing their own brand of crazy right now. It's starting to look a lot like Communists to the left of me, Nazis to the right. Here I am stuck in the middle with you. But if the sane Republicans can pull it together, they can bring in reasonable people like Bill Maher.
Bill Maher
Like, if this is where the Democratic Party is going, where this Democratic Socialist, this obsession with Israel, with the Jew hating with. They don't believe in capitalism, no prisons. If this is where they're going, my vote is in play, okay? And I like to hear that. It actually always has been. I just, every year I don't make my decision by who has an R or D. I actually always came to the conclusion that the Democrat was probably better, sure. And voted for them.
Larry O'Connor
Okay?
Bill Maher
And Trump can't run again and he'd be a little too exciting for me anyway, so either going to be you or Rubio.
Sacha Stone
At the moment, the Democrats have the bigger headache on their hands. No one who seeks the nomination in 2028 will survive if they don't have Zorhan Mamdani on their side. But honestly, the Republicans could be here too, depending on how their current war plays out. But if they want to win, they will have to open their doors to more moderate Democrats, perhaps giving up the old dream of outsider populism. They'll have to decide which they believe is the greater threat. Here is Larry o' Connor with Mark Halperin on two way.
Larry O'Connor
What might happen here actually is we might have a political realignment because of this, even more so than the political realignment we saw with the Trump phenomenon. Because I do think that there are a lot of Democrats who, who aren't going to be able to walk down this path if this ends up being where the party ends up. And I think we might see, and it might alter the Republican Party as well, because the Republican Party to accept Democrats coming voting with us and create this coalition to sort of stamp down this rise of the socialists, our party might end up opening itself up a little bit on certain policies as well. That could happen. It could be everyone who wants unification and people working together. This could be a moment where we actually see Republicans and Democrats forming this coalition, if anything, to stop this rise of socialism that is a parasite on the Democratic Party.
James Carville
Scared.

America the beautiful in 2020, I was hopeless and lost. No one on my side would talk about what all of us could see happening in our party to our young people with this unprecedented climate of fear and culture of silence. But then I heard Donald Trump's speech at Mount Rushmore on July 4th. And even though I'd been told he was a dangerous fascist and racist, I heard the words that anchor me to my own patriotic pride. Words that describe the country I know and love. These were and are subversive words, but necessary. This is the America I believed in.
Donald J. Trump
It is time for our politicians to summon the bravery and determination of our American ancestors. It is time. It is time to plant our flag and to protect the greatest of this nation. For citizens of every race in every city and every part of this glorious land. For the sake of our honor, for the sake of our children, for the sake of our union, we must protect and and preserve our history, our heritage, and our great heroes here tonight, before the eyes of our forefathers. Americans declare again, as we did 244 years ago, that we will not be tyrannized, we will not be demeaned, and we will not be intimidated, intimidated by bad, evil people. It will not happen. We will proclaim the ideals of the Declaration of Independence, and we will never surrender the spirit and the courage and the cause of July 4, 1776. Upon this ground, we will stand firm and unwavering in the face of lies meant to divide us, demoralize us and diminish us. We will show that the story of America unites us, inspires us, includes us all, and makes everyone free. We must demand that our children are taught once again to see America. As did Reverend Martin Luther King when he said that the Founders had signed a promissory note to every future generation. Dr. King saw that the mission of justice required us to fully embrace our founding ideals. Those ideals are so important to us. The founding ideals. He called on his fellow citizens not to rip down their heritage, but to live up to their heritage. Above all, our children from every community must be taught that to be American is to inherit the spirit of the most adventurous and confident people, people ever to walk the face of the earth. Americans are the people who pursued our manifest destiny across the ocean, into the uncharted wilderness, over the tallest mountains, and then into the skies and even into the stars. We gave the world the poetry of Walt Whitman, the stories of Mark Twain, the songs of Irving Berlin, the voice of Ella Fitzgerald, the style of Frank Sinatra, the comedy of Bob Hope, the power of the Saturn V rocket, the toughness of the Ford F150, and the awesome might of the American aircraft carriers. Americans must never lose sight of this miraculous story. Should never lose sight of it. Nobody has ever done it like we have done it. We will write the next thrilling chapter of the American adventure, and we will teach our children to know that they live in a land of legends, that nothing can stop them and that no one can hold them down. They will know that in America, you can do anything, you can be anything, and together, we can achieve anything. Uplifted by the titans of Mount Rushmore, we will find unity that no one expected. We will make strides that no one thought possible. This country will be everything that our citizens have hoped for for so many years and that our enemies fear, because we will never forget that the American freedom exists for American greatness. And that's what we have, American great greatness.

Ever since then, I've trusted Trump because he did not bend, he did not break, and he never, ever surrendered. I'm sorry. He'll be leaving office in two years. I can't imagine the fight without him. But he's carved a path and lit the way. Now it's our turn to finish the job. The race to normal begins right now. Thank you for listening to my podcast, Sashastone.com and I hope you had a great weekend, and I hope you're getting ready for a wonderful July 4th to celebrate our nation's 250th birthday. In this episode, host Sasha Stone traces a direct line from the origins and spread of Cancel Culture to the present-day rise of Democratic Socialists and what she frames as American communism. Intertwining personal reflection with cultural critique and audio clips from prominent political voices, Stone delivers a warning: that the left's embrace of, and surrender to, radical activism has transformed the Democratic Party, leaving moderates sidelined and the country risking a cultural fracture. The episode examines the consequences of years of mass hysteria, ideological purity tests, and power struggles, arguing that America is now engaged in a “race to normal” with history and civilization at stake.

| Topic | Speakers & Key Segments | Notable Quotes | |-------------------------------------|---------------------------------|----------------------------------------------------------| | Cancel Culture origins/impact | Trump, Stone, Tom Cotton | “This is the very definition of totalitarianism...” | | White guilt/oppressor-oppressed era | Katherine, Stone | “Our profound lack of interest in the moral values...” | | DSA/Left radicalization | Sacks, Carville, Maher, Stone | “They want to abolish the Senate... Defund the police...”| | Party schism/realignment potential | O’Connor, Halperin, Maher | “My vote is in play, okay?...” | | Return to patriotism | Trump, Stone | “This is the America I believed in.” |
With a tone both elegiac and cautionary, Sasha Stone urges listeners to recognize what she sees as the dangerous fusion of Cancel Culture, radical leftism, and identity politics inside American institutions — warning of unforeseen consequences for the Democratic Party and the country. The episode closes with a call for a coalition of moderates and a return to patriotic values inspired by the “greatness” of America, hoping for a realignment before, in her view, more authoritarian outcomes take root.
