B
Am I still drunk when I drink?
A
I don't think I'm motherfucking and fighting and drinking more So I hope that big old mouser don't end up rolling me through the door. When closing I'm nowhere to be found. I'm probably out in the parking lot passed out upside down. Cause I'm gonna drink myself drunk. Yeah, you just wait and see. Ain't no damn body in the whole.
B
Damn bar gonna be as drunk as me.
A
I'm gonna honky donk all night long. I'm gonna get fucked up and I'm gonna chew until I puke. I'm gonna drink.
B
Oh, well, hell, I'm gonna drink myself drunk. Yeah, you just wait and see.
A

B
Going drink myself drunk. Hey. I'm going to drink myself drunk. Drink myself drunk. What the heck? What the heck was that?
A
Yes.
B
That is how you start a podcast. That is how you start a New year's podcast. That is how you start the very first podcast of 2020 26. Dude, that was amazing.
C
That was high impact. I made a resolution to quit drinking this year, and then on January 2nd, I blasted this song. That was it, man. That was the way to kick off.
B
The year, let's be honest. Did you actually make it to January 2nd?
C
Nope.
A
Oh.
B
Did you? Touche. So that was Kristoff Crafton kicking off Episode number 76 of the Friday night karaoke podcast. This episode is called 2026, Fnk and Go. And Christophe Krafto was kicking it off with Drink Myself Drunk by Rebel Son. And let me tell you, I absolutely freaking lutely love that song. I love the way he sang that song. I love the expression when he was singing that song and the passion and the energy and, like, you know, we're going to be singing this song in Orlando for Pod Fest, and we're hosting this big karaoke event, and we're going to be singing this, like, duet that's, like, really fun, but I kind of want to sing that song now.
C
Now I want to sing that one. I Think we switch over to this one.
B
Like, this song is, like the perfect song. Like the perfect song. Yes.
C
We need to rethink our strategy and we need to play Kristoff's version again one or two more times beforehand just to practice it and warm it up.
B
I kind of need to play Kristoff's version every time I wake up and maybe like, to help me fall asleep, you know, at the end of the night, you know, just to feel better and like. Yeah, you know what? There's other people in the world that feel the way I do.
C
You're not alone in this. You're not alone.
B
That's right. Yeah. None of you are alone. We're all in FnK together.
C
We're all drunk together.
B
And, you know, if we're not, I know how to get us there.
C
Yeah, we'll figure it out. We'll make it happen for you.
B
We'll navigate. We're really good at navigating our way to.
C
Dude, we're getting off track here.
B
Who are you? Is this like an existential question? This is just like a.
C
No, no. Who really are you?
B
I am Mike Wiston. I am the co host and co founder of the Friday Night karaoke podcast and the Friday Night karaoke Facebook group.
C
Nice. And I am Joe Rubin with the same exact title. And welcome to episode 76, Fnk 2026. And go.
B
That's my favorite part. And go. I see you shivered with anticipation. So good. So, yeah, we. We've been doing this for 76 episodes. That's amazing. You know, like, we don't always get to do it on time. We talk about this and we make fun of it all the time, but, you know, we're pretty consistent in the last two or three.
C
On the ball here, man. We're getting on. We're getting. We're getting back on track.
B
That's where we're recording the next episode. Do you want to tell everyone we're recording the next episode live from Vermont?
C
We haven't done one of those in a while.
B
Say it again.
C
I know. I know where we are going to crack directly into my 56k connection. My AOL dial up. It's going to be. It's going to be glorious, dude. It's gonna be good.
B
I can't wait. Yeah, well, you know, Vermont, it's cool. You know, I. I didn't know they have Internet in Vermont.
C
I've got four hours left on my AOL cd, so we're good. I've been saving them just for this.
B
We just hired A bunch of vas. They're gonna like, okay, I. I got it. And they go. One of them's gonna go run down and like, put it in somewhere and another one's gonna listen to us. I got it. And they're gonna go, like, mimic it and record. Okay. Anyway, it was. It was really funny in my head.
C
I'm sure it was.
B
So again, that was Christophe Crafton with Drink Myself Drunk from Rebel Sun. To kick off Episode number 76 of the Friday night karaoke podcast, we have an amazing show in store for you today. The theme, obviously 2026, FnK and Go, is high energy songs or just exciting songs or stuff to welcome the new year. The last theme of the year was FnK Countdown, where we're counting down to the end of the year. Obviously, we're recording this in the new year, so that theme no longer makes sense. So welcome new year. Kicking it off. Yeah, we. Yeah, we had a couple ideas for that. It was going to be kickoff or it was going to be. No, no, no, no, no. We'll leave it there.
C
Right there.
B
Coming up next, we have a fantastic singer from the Friday night karaoke community. She is graced the podcast numerous times. She is a moderator of the group. She is a wonderful collaborator in the group and she's a wonderful human all around and we love having her here. And sings absolutely amazingly. This is going to be Jennifer Adams for song number two with get the Party Started by Pink. Give it a listen. All right. Oh, yeah.
A
So you better get this body started I coming up so you better get this party started get this party started on a Saturday night Everybody's waiting for me to arrive Sending out the message to all of my friends we'll be looking flashy in the Mercedes Benz I got lots of styles check my soul diamond rings I can go for miles if you know what I mean I'm coming up so you better get this party started I'm coming up so you better get this party started Popping up a button breaking down to the beach cruising through the west side we check and see what I thought is freaking as I come in fast you'll be burning rubble you'll be kissing my bed pulling up the bumper get out of the car. I coming up so you better get this party started I coming up so you better get this party started I coming out so you better get this party started Coming I'm coming out so you better get this body started Making my connection as I enter the room Everybody's chilling as I set up through Open up The volume with this brand new bead Everybody's dancing still dancing for me. I'm your operator. You can call anytime. How do your connection to the party line? I'm coming out, so you better get this party started. I coming out, so you better get this party started.
B
The party's already started. Where it's right now. We're having the party. The party's. You'll need to start the party. It started.
C
Well, that was because of the song, man.
B
Pay attention.
C
Because of the song. No, I'm still learning. That was great. That was great. Jennifer Adams never disappoints, dude.
B
And. And she, like, thrupled herself.
C
Thrippled.
B
Thrippled.
C
Yes. Yes.
B
So that was Jennifer Adams with Get the Party Started by Pink for song number two of the podcast. And, man. Is not easy recording over yourself and is certainly not easy recording over yourself. Recording over yourself. You know, when you get into that inception, the dream within the dream within the dream within the dream, it gets really, really complicated when you're trying to harmonize with it. For myself, and I don't know if I could speak for everybody who's listening who's ever tried this before, but this is very much true for myself. I find myself, when I'm trying to chorus with myself, just matching what I just did exactly.
C
So it doesn't sound even trying to harmonize. You're just like, can I repeat the same note twice?
B
Well, I mean, it was hard enough to get to that point where I feel okay enough to sing that way in that moment. I'm not gonna try it again. Why broke it if ain't wait? Why break it if it ain't fixed? Why fix it if it ain't broke? But, yeah, she did it phenomenally. She. You know, each part, each of those videos and each of those recordings, while very much separate, complemented each other and, you know, fit the whole song. And, you know, the original, you were singing right along in your head and maybe even out loud like we were.
C
I think everyone knows the original. I mean. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
B
Pit Pink's, you know, I think people, you know, she's. She's made a couple songs, you know, Right.
C
On one or two, Right?
B
Yeah. Nice. Yeah. I mean, when you think about parties, that's what you think about songs like this, you know, High energy, exciting, Something that you could pop the champagne to, right?
C
All right, who's up next?
B
Okay, we're getting right into it. Just going, look, we got.
C
We got a lineup here, man.
B
We got a lineup.
C
We got. We got a schedule to Keep.
B
Yeah, there's only eight people. And we got like 48 minutes remaining. 48 minutes, dude.
C
With some of us.
B
And we don't. And we don't banter. We don't talk. Barely.
C
Barely even comment on anything.
B
I'm learning. I'm learning how to talk. I'm going to Toastmasters. Nobody listening knows what Toastmasters is. I wish I didn't know what Toastmasters is. All right, coming up next, we have another fantastic member of the group. She's been a member for a very long time. I have no idea when she started, but it's been, you know, we've been around for what, five years now, I think, the group. And, you know, she's been here for a good portion of that regular poster in the group. A great member who collaborates and who comments and who is, you know, very active and supporting everyone else and all the great singers in the group. This is very appropriate for a 20, 26 welcome to the new year and much more appropriate for a countdown to 26. This is going to be the final countdown from Europe.
C
Yeah, it definitely fit more. Definitely fit more. If we recorded this, say, December 29th, right? Like, just.
B
It would have made more sense, but. All right, like, you know, let's go with it.
C
Let's go with it.
B
So it's gonna be Nancy Van Eindhoven with the final countdown from Europe. Let's give it a listen. I think it's starting. Nope. Now it's starting.
A
We're living together but still it's farewell and maybe we'll come back to Earth who can tell? I guess there is no one to blame we're leaving ground Will things ever be the same again? It's the final countdown, The final count. Oh, we heading for Venus and still we stand tall. Cause maybe they've seen us and welcome us all. Yes. With so many light years to go and things to be found.
B
I'm sure.
A
That we all miss this all it's the final countdown. The final countdown. The final countdown. Oh, it's the final countdown. The final countdown. The final countdown. It's the final countdown we're leaving together the final countdown we all miss the song. It's the final countdown oh, it's the final count countdown.
B
What are we counting down to? What are we counting down to?
C
That was good. That was good.
B
I like her voice. That was better than good. That was great. That was Nancy Van Eindhoven with the final Countdown by Europe and, oh, man, she had some good power in her voice and she, you know, she really brought the presence. And, you know, you could tell she's listened to the song 100 billion times and it was just summoning it.
C
All right. I feel like she should have ended it with like, with like a thank.
B
You very much, I think in the background with the. All the Elvis. Yeah. That was awesome. Absolutely awesome. And I love that song. It's like one of those songs that even if, like you're, you know, like if you've listened to it a bajillion times and you're like, oh, that song again, you're going to sing along. Because it's a great song, it's a great tune. And it's great because you know all the words. If you know Final countdown. It's the final countdown. If you know those words, you know all the words.
C
Just about all the words. It's a great song. It's a classic. Man.
B
Can you imagine being the songwriter and you know, like their entire, whole thing and you're like, I got this idea. Guys, guys, guys, guys.
C
You know how stone countdowns the final.
B
Countdown and then we're just gonna Repeat it like 27 times every now and then. Throw it. But, you know, I'm making fun of it, but I love that song.
C
Yeah. If it comes on the radio, I'm not changing the station.
B
No, no.
C
Singing along.
B
I think the moment you hear that like in the very beginning, instantly, like, yeah, we're doing it.
C
I'll definitely leave it on a sing along. Especially if there's no one else in the car.
B
Oh. I mean, especially.
C
And then I'm like cranking it up.
B
Depends who's in the car. If you're in the car, man. I'm like, dude, Dud, dude. Yeah, exactly.
C
If you're in the car. If my kids are in the car and they'll. Then they're like, like sitting there hiding, you know, like, oh, yeah, yeah.
B
Meanwhile, we're up front doing like, you know, Wayne's World, Bohemian Rhapsody or I guess in the music part, we're doing like night at the Roxbury.
A
Right.
B
So good. So once again, that was Nancy Van Eindhoven with the final countdown by Europe.
C
Wow.
B
So coming up, actually we're on a final countdown ourselves right now. We're counting our days to Podfest. We're actually going to a large podcasting conference in Orlando, Florida.
C
Are we gonna throw a party there, maybe, you think?
B
Yeah, I think we might throw a party. So I'm flying on the 14th. I'm flying from Japan over to sunny Orlando. It's going from 0 degrees Celsius to like 24 degrees Celsius. I'm super excited. I don't know what you crazy Fahrenheit people. I don't know, like Fahrenheit talk anymore.
C
Completely irrelevant to me. I don't know.
B
You're like, you're just talking.
C
You're going from some temperature to another temperature. Like, I could not give a less.
B
What that was number temperatures. So, yeah, I fly in on the 14th, so does Joe. And we have a couple other people coming. And we are throwing this huge. And I say huge. It's gonna be like 100, 150 people karaoke party.
C
How many do we have registered? Like right now?
B
Like 190 and change. Yeah, like 90. Well, we'll have like a easily 150.
C
Yeah.
B
It's at. Oh, shucks. On International Drive in Orlando, Florida. If you're local or if you are.
C
Feeling anywhere in the vicinity, anywhere. Come on in. Drinks and food are on us all night. And come sing with us. Come hang out. We've had a lot of FnK folks show up to our parties in the past when we throw them around the country. And even if it's just like when we're in a various area, we've had people come in and say hi and hang out and sing karaoke with us. Luke and Isabelle, remember?
B
That was so awesome.
C
I think it was in Texas.
B
I don't remember when we hung out with Tyler Turcot, I think.
C
Is Tyler coming again this year to.
B
He said he's gonna try.
C
Let's see.
B
Tyler, I hope you're listening. We're gonna put you on the spot.
C
Nice. What was that dude that came in last year, remember? And he like started rapping on stage. He was crushing it, that dude.
B
I want to remember his name so badly.
C
Oh, man, he was amazing.
B
Absolutely phenomenal. And he does like Disney, Timon and Pumbaa. And he just absolutely rocks both voices.
C
Damn.
B
Perfectly.
C
His name.
B
And he did the raps without looking at the screen.
C
No, he, like, had it all in his head. It was amazing.
B
New. He just knew.
C
And we're talking. Yeah. So if you're an FN member, I'm sorry I cut you off. Finish.
B
Yeah, we're not talking old school rap where, like, where they're just kind of, you know, rhyming some words together. We're talking like twist, Busta Rhymes type rapper. The guy is just like, like Eminem style, where he's just like ripping through. It was just like, is that happening right now?
C
It was incredible.
B
People were like filming this.
C
You weren't wrong, dude. There was, like, 25 people standing there with cameras just filming this, dude. It was amazing. It was amazing. Yeah. So anyway, if you are an FnK member and you listen to this, you want to come hang out with us for the evening? It's the 16th in Orlando at. Oh, shucks. Just hit up me and Mike. We'll add you to the guest list. Food and drinks on us. We love hearing you sing. Yep.
B
And hopefully lots of you show up and force me to take a drink with you for, you know, I just got here. You're gonna do a drink with me? I'm like, oh, okay. And if you just, like, you just stagger, like, when you show up so that I can force myself to drink a whole lot, like, I got to do it. They showed up. They came all this way.
C
Shut the fuck up. You don't need, like, some sort of reason.
B
Like, I do need a reason. We heard the very first song of the night. It was drink Myself Drunk. And that's what I plan to do.
C
Gosh darn it, you shall.
B
I believe in my hat. To Rebel, son. And to Kristoff Crafton.
C
I believe in you.
B
You know, I believe in myself. Thank you. All right, who's coming up next? We have, Man, Rolling Stones. I love the Rolling Stones.
C
Really? All right.
B
You know, it doesn't go out of. Out of fashion. It doesn't go out of style. We have a new year, and Rolling Stones is a great way to ring it in. It's going to be a Round and around by Rick Mendoza. All right, listen.
A
I said the joint was rocking Going round and round yeah, really? And rocking what a crazy sound and they never stopped rocking till the moon went down well, it sounds so sweet had to take me a chance Rose out of my seat I just had to dance Started moving my feet Whoa. Clapping my hands I said joint was rocking Going round and round yeah, reeling and rocking what a crazy sound and they never stopped rocking till the moon went down all right. Yeah 12:00 clock yeah, the place was packed Pronto was locked yeah, the place was packed and when the police knocked those doors flew back but they kept on rocking Going round and round yeah, reeling and rocking With a crazy sound and they never stopped rocking till the moon went down Wake up on the rocking Going round and round yeah, reeling and rocking what a crazy sound and they never stopped rocking till the moon went down but they're don't stand rocking Going round and round yeah, reeling and rocking what a crazy sound and they never stop Rocking till the moon went down. All right, Sam.
B
Thank you. You're welcome. No, thank you.
A
Thank you.
B
Rick Mendoza. Great, dude.
C
That was great.
B
Yo. I know. It's the Stones. It sounds so Elvisy, though. We were talking about Elvis before. It sounds Elvisy, doesn't it? That's like the Elvis feel.
C
It's definitely rock and roll, like classic rock and roll style.
B
You know, I do love the energy, and it's. Yes, classic rock and roll is phenomenal. You know, I'm actually. You know, we mentioned we're going down to Orlando for. Yeah, you know, that conference, and then we're hosting karaoke. And I booked two extra days so I can be a loser and go to Disney by myself. And I booked the 50s rock and roll Hollywood diner. You have to book it in advance. So I booked. It has, like, the little old school CRT TVs and stuff like that and, like the jukebox stuff. I'm pretty stoked.
C
There's so much I want to say right now.
B
You should. You know what? It's an open forum. You know, you just. You just say what. Say what you want to say.
C
This is a family friendly podcast, so let's move along.
B
So that was Rick Mendoza with a round and around from the Rolling Stones. And, man, makes me want to crack out an old album and start listening to Rolling Stones again. Mick Jagger, man, he's. He's the man.
C
Yes, for sure.
B
Yeah, for sure.
C
They're still performing. They're like, 80. They're still performing and they still rock.
B
I'm hoping I could, like, get out of bed right now. I'm 44. I'm hoping I can get out of bed. And they're, like, in their 80s and they're, like, still, like, you know, doing tours and stuff. Like, it's wild. I. I feel like I'm halfway through my life. But you know who's actually halfway through their life? Who?
C
Like, what do you mean by halfway?
B
Like, there.
A
Whoa.
B
Joe's living on a pr.
C
That's right, I am.
B
It is your birthday. Happy freaking birthday, Joe Rubin. I got a little something prepared for you. Hold on.
C
Oh.
B
Happy birthday to you Happy birthday to you Happy birthday, dear Joe Rubin Happy birthday to you.
C
Thanks, buddy.
B
I. I worked on that all week. I hope you like it.
C
I'm glad you didn't put on some sort of pink dress.
B
Like, I had nipple tassels. I forgot to get them.
C
Appreciate you leaving the sweatshirt on, but thank you very much. Yes, I am halfway there. Halfway. So 50.
B
Yeah. Yeah. So make it make it to the triple digits, man. Just make it. And we're good.
C
I'm starting second half.
B
Between now and then, we might even get, like, seven more podcast episodes in, right?
C
Oh, my God, dude, we could record episodes 84, like, on my 80th birthday.
B
Dude, that would be fantastic. Are we on the 83? No, we're on 76. All right. Yeah, yeah. When we get to episode 100, this is going to be a serious thing. Like, you know, that means, like, real.
C
Then we're real, then we're for reals up.
B
Yeah, for real reals. Like, actually for reals. So. Happy birthday, Joe.
C
Thanks, man. Yeah, you want to hear something you were speaking about? We was talking about the stone, and I'm really quick. Sorry. We're talking about the Stones 80 performance. My dad is a professional bass player and has been playing since he was 16, and he is almost 80 as well. And he finally decided he wants to retire at 80 years old. He's going to retire. Isn't that crazy? Professional bass player his whole life.
B
80 years old.
C
Isn't that amazing?
B
You know what? I'm 44, and I'm still working on, like, just playing the guitar. I got the guitar right there, and I'm like, I think if I put my fingers on it and do this, something happens. Yeah.
C
And he totally didn't want to retire either. He was like, I could probably, you know, a little. I use. But he finally decided he. He's doing it.
B
He's okay. All right, dude, 80 years, man.
C
80 years old.
B
What's next for senior Reuben, right?
C
I don't know. He's like. He's like, I'm thinking of what to do next. I'm like, dude, you're gonna annoy the crap out of your wife. Like, you better find a hobby before she kills you, you know?
B
Yeah, he's just gonna be chilling at home. Mock instant death, right? Like, he's amazing.
C
She will kill him in a second like that, man.
B
Oh, man. The most annoying song in the world coming up next. You know, I had to pepper this in there because last week we played your song, or last time we played your song. I'm playing my song now. I'm sorry. I'm gonna do it. It's my podcast, and I'll play a song if I want to do it.
C
Your broadcast prerogative.
B
Yeah. Oh. Oh, I like that.
C
Yeah. Make that into a T shirt. My pod. My prerogative, you know?
B
And the back you. Coming up next is Mike Whiston with my countdown to 2026. Slash my welcome to 2026 song. It's gonna be Red Hot Chili Peppers. I grew up loving them. I listen to them all the time. I actually saw them not that long ago in Tokyo, and it was amazing. It's gonna be Suck My Kiss. Give it a listen. Do it. I'm gonna. I'm gonna. If my. If my computer lets me do it, it's gonna let me do it right now. I swear. Here goes.
C
I'll wait.

Yeah.

I couldn't tell when his laughing ended and your laughing began.
B
I told you I I when I Record over myself.
A
I do exactly the same thing.
B
It's the same. There's no chorus or harmony. It's exactly the same every time.
A
Time.
B
So fun fact. Fun fact. Fun fact. I was dating my wife and then I sang her that song. And a week later we were married.
C
Is that for real?
B
She was like, why did you bring me here? And I just started ripping into that song and they kicked us out of the church. But man, Amazing. The Applebees kicked you right out of Applebee.
C
Dude.
B
That was really good.
C
That was really good.
B
Actually, it was something.
C
I don't know.
B
I. I was. It was, you know, one of those things when you listen to yourself and it's like cringe, like, ah. But I did like it. It was fun.
C
No, it was fun though. I do have a request sure is sponsoring our stuff. And your microphone is upside down. It's upside down. We gotta fix that for you because. No, don't do it now. No, no, we're recording right now. Don't do it now. After.
B
This is totally upside down. So like the logo is backwards. Yeah, it's.
C
It like it says like Zach in Chinese or something. It's like, you gott that.
B
I don't know. I speak Japanese. I don't know.
C
Yeah, you gotta fix it. It's. See how mine says like sure on there? Like you got.
B
Oh yeah, my. Yeah, mine sure is backwards.
C
Even upside down and backwards. These microphones sound fantastic. Thank you, sir, for sponsoring our show. These are great. Yes, we love them. And we love giving these out as prizes for some of our competitions. So it's. It's been really cool having shure microphones.
B
Shure specifically requested that only Joe talk about shure microphones. They're like, we want the 50 year old voice, right?
C
They're like, can the other guy maybe put the microphone upside down so they can't quite read the logo?
B
That's brilliant. I also realized that in watching my own video, I also realized that singing me and regular me on the podcast is exactly the same.
C
Yes, it is exactly the same.
B
You don't know where one starts in the other ends.
C
No, no. You know what? I tell you this all the time, but I mean it, man. Dude, you got stage presence.
B
I got it from watching you, dad.
C
No, no, son, you've done this all on your own.
B
Don't loop me into this. Dude. You're like, just leave me out of it. Got you. I hear you loud and clear. That's a big ten four good buddy. So again, that was suck my kids from Red Hot chili peppers from yours truly. Only three songs left. We are banging through this. We got 20 minutes left. I think we got this. We're gonna be in that one hour mark. That's always our goal. Sometimes, like, we've let this thing go like an hour and 20 minutes, and then cutting it down to an hour is horrible. So we don't.
C
I'm gonna cut that last sentence that you just said out so that way we fit.
B
I'm gonna cut that sentence out. Your move.
A
Coming.
B
I actually love this performance so freaking much. And Honestly, this is 2026. This is a brand new year and, you know, we're in it and some. We lost someone really important last year. To me, musically, someone really important. Last year we lost Ozzy Osbourne. Ozzy Osborne is the man.
C
Yes.
B
And we actually have a theme this week right now going on. And you're supposed to post. It's a FnK beginning. You're supposed to post up a song from the first album you ever bought with your own money. And I bought two albums with my own money for the very first time ever when I was like 11 or 12 or whatever it was. And one of them was Nirvana, nevermind, and the other one was no more tears by Ozzy Osbourne. And Those are my two albums.
C
Great. Damn.
B
Yeah. And like Mr. Tinker Train, I would listen to it all the time on repeat. It's like one of my favorite songs still to this day because it's like, you know, it kind of resonates. So anyway, this is Ozzy Osbourne. Unfortunately, he passed last year, but, you know, the music will go on. And I love karaoke because you get to hear it in new, exciting, fresh ways. And this member actually sang it live in a karaoke bar or something like that. I love that. Oh, yeah. So the sound quality just heads up. It's a karaoke bar.
C
Live recording.
B
Too bad. She's awesome. And this is great. This is going to be anastar with crazy train by Ozzy Osborne. Let's give it a life.
A
Way. Going off the rails on a crazy train. I push all the dropout. Dreaming no one wants to play we're going off the rails on a crazy train Going off the rails on a crazy train. I know that things are going been wrong to me you got to listen to my word it. Just cannot. Still screaming drop me insane Going out the rails on a crazy train Going off the rails on crazy TR. Than.
B
Yes, yes. I'm going off the rails on an awesome train.
C
Oh, man. Dude, I would have loved to have heard that live.
B
Yeah, I would have loved to have heard that live. Well, you know, if you and I were there, what everyone else would be hearing on the podcast right now is Mike and Joe in the background.
C
You know what?
B
I also liked that, like, there's a.
C
Big sign in the back that says no drinks here ever. And right in the beginning, she put her drink right, right there.
B
Like, in defiance.
C
Ozzy would be fucking proud. He'd be looking down from. He'd be looking up right now being like hat tip to that move, you.
B
Know, like, that was.
C
That was golden.
B
I Love that. Yeah. AB freaking lutely. That's her 2026 version of biting off a bat head, right?
C
That was a good move. And by the way, killer freaking voice, dude. Yeah, she had some from lungs on her. She was good. She was.
B
I love about, like, good music and a good song. Especially, like a good song like that where you can, like, you know, get up and sing it and karaoke, you know, you don't just stand there and sing it like this and just, you know, sing your song. You know, you saw her up there. She was like, you know, her feet were going to it. She had her hands, like drumming on her. On her legs while she's up there. You know, she's like getting into it. Like, you can't just stand still and sing that song. You have to get into it. You're freaking there. You're like. You're summoning Ozzy. Ozzy's with you.
C
I agree. I agree. It was. She was. She was great. She was great. Yeah.
B
That was Anna Stayer with Crazy train from Ozzy Osbourne. And you can find her in the Friday night karaoke Facebook group. How do you get there? Well, let me tell you. You go to Friday night karaoke in Facebook by typing in Friday night karaoke in the search bar. You click on join, you answer three little questions, and you are in like Flynn, baby. You are in.
C
How much does it cost? How much does it cost?
B
Well, normally $72.99, but for a limited time only, it is absolutely, undeniably, positively free.
C
Amazing. Does my last name have to begin with A to L or anything or.
B
It does, but, you know, for a limited time only if it starts from an M to a Z. We will also include this wonderful package of karaoke awesomeness and negativity. Free and ad free. And tons of gimmicks for your listening enjoyment.
C
Wonderful, wonderful.
B
Yes, thank you. You know, thank you.
C
By the way, how many members are we up to nowadays? What do we have.
B
You know, it's actually kind of freaking crazy. You know, when we started this thing a bunch of years ago, we've. We've told the story a million times before, you know, lightly tell it again now. But, you know, when we started this, like five years ago, we started this group. It's Friday night karaoke on Facebook. It was just Joe and I. It was Covid. It was sad. You know, we had, you know, not a lot going on. You couldn't go out. You couldn't. You know, you had to go out and put masks on and stay far away from people. And you know, it just. It's super stocked. There was no live karaoke. There was none of this. So we started this little group and we called it Friday night karaoke. And it was basically Joe and I posting songs and liking and commenting on the songs that him and I were posting. Super freaking lame. But it was great. And then we started featuring some other people and some people found it and they joined up and obviously started a little mini community. And it just started growing from there. We. Where it really started getting big was when we started launching themes of the week, which was pretty soon after we started everything and, you know, people were joining. We didn't have that many members, but we like, oh, let's do this. Theme of the week. I think we did like a $5 Starbucks card at the time. That's what it was. $5 Starbucks card we were giving away. And yeah, it was like, not a big deal. It's just the, you know, sing some songs and we randomly. I think it was based on if you songs that had the most comments, likes, Likes, comments and shares. A share was worth five points, a comment was worth two, and a like, was worth one. And then we had some members who would like, had a lot of friends and they just won every week. So we made them moderators.
C
You totally didn't answer my question. How many members are we up to nowadays?
B
We are up to 70. No, I lied.
C
Let's.
B
That is horrible. 48, 000 members.
C
That's better.
B
That's better.
C
48, 000 members. By the way, we got a lot of songs posted each week. Like, there's hundreds and hundreds of songs each week. It's amazing.
B
Literally, literally negativity free. There is no negativity in this group at all. There's actually a huge post about it. Like this guy who's like, yeah, someone posted something negative. And I want to thank the moderators because, like, it was gone immediately.
C
Oh, by the way. And you know what? Let's take this time to thank the moderators. These moderators actually work a lot, spending a lot of time digging through the songs, helping people out when they have trouble with posting or with rules or whatever. And luckily, we actually don't get too many, but when we occasionally get just somebody who wants to be a jerk in the group gone, like, we really have good moderators. It's just a fun place to be and not just like trash talk and garbage and like, and. Or ads or, you know, like, you come here and it's people singing karaoke and talking about it and having a good time. You know, like, nobody wants to freaking have the turd in the pool. You know, like, that person gets kicked out. And that is thanks to our moderators.
B
Yeah, our moderators are absolutely phenomenal in every way. You know, thank you so much for all the work you put in. And, you know, they're phenomenal singers themselves, and they put up songs all the time. And yeah, yeah, we were fans, so we were like, please be a moderator or they won too many times. So we're like, we want to stop paying you. Be a moderator. So coming up next, we actually have one of our phenomenal moderators. It was the very first theme of the week winner ever. We've mentioned this before, and she's been featured on the podcast before, but our very first theme of the week ever was like, 90s grunge. Or grunge or something along those lines, I don't really recall. And the very first song was Smells Like Teen Spirit. That won it. And it would be none other than Katie Rose, who was singing. So for this Wonderful podcast theme, 2026 fnk and go. I love. This is my. My favorite part.
C
This is my new favorite theme of the week to say, by the way. All right, yeah, sorry, continue.
B
We were going through the themes of the week, like, what's this one going to be? And, like, we were, like, having a lot of trouble figuring it out. We came up with bad ideas, like, really bad ideas. And then, like, this one came, and I'm like, that's the one. So when I came up with it, I was so proud of myself. The joke came up with a hitch. Yeah. Anyone listening to this on audio can't see his face. It's like, part of the fun. So this is going to be Katie Rose with I like it Heavy from Hailstorm. Man, I love this song. If you haven't heard of Hailstorm before, I actually recommend you go listen to them after this. Not now. After this. Because Katie Rose is going to show you how it's done. It's Katie Rose with I Like It Heavy by Hailstorm. Give it a listen.
A
Somebody. Beautiful, perfect and pretty I see the good in the bad and the ugly I need the volume 1 louder than 10 put the pedal to the metal needle into the red now the windows ain't shaking Making my heart a race if I can feel it in my chest I'm in the wrong damn place Got a demon in my soul and a voice in my head saying go, go, go I can sleep when I'm dead There's a sonic revelation Bringing me to my knees and there's a man down below who needs my sympathy Got a ringing in my ears Getting ready to burst Screaming hallelujah Mother, take me to church I like it louder than the fool Mother. I ride the lightning Roll with the thunder Going down, down, down with my sisters and brothers I fell in love with the darkest hearts Standing on the side of a wild and hot letter I love the feather of a crow so I could fly Since I was 14 years old I had my F to the sky. I like it heavy I like it, I like it, I like it heavy I like it, I like it I like it heavy I like it, I like it, I like it heavy. Sunlight, beautiful, perfect and pretty I see the good in the bad and the ugly I like it, I like it, I like it I like it heavy I like it, I like it, I like it heavy I like it, I like it I like it heavy I like it, I like it, I like it. Take me home tonight I'll do anything with you Battle whiskey get matching tattoos Tell me that you love me oh, let me drive your car we can spend to morning light Just counted every stone if there's a hell Rich, you there if there's a heavenly seven deer if I'm an angel then I must be high. The devil sooth my soul it's all right whatever we do tonight Cuz if there's a guy, baby she won't mind if there's a God, baby she won.
B
Dude, that ending threw me way off. That was so cool. That was so cool. I didn't even know what was happening. Like, I, I, I almost, like, shut the video off because, like, it was, like, coming to a conclusion. But I saw there was still time left on the video. And to be fair, I never got to the very, very end, so. Man.
A
Holy.
B
That was so awesome. That was so cool.
C
That girl's a rock star.
B
Oh, dude, it's like, total On Rockstar.
C
Holy.
B
She got the voice, got the presence. Yeah. You know, like, even the background of the video, like, you know, like, I know there's a filter on it, but, like, what was going on in the back? It looked like super grunge. It was cool. Like, it, like, it looked like a metal background. It was cool. I had no idea what was going on back there, but it was cool. Everything about it was just a. That was.
C
Yeah, there was nothing. There was nothing about that. That wasn't like, damn, that was good. Like, oh, man.
B
Right? It gives you chills.
C
You're like, yeah, yeah, you're right. And that ending, I'm like, I thought this song. I was like, all right, song's over. I, like, you know, press the unmute button, you know.
B
Yeah. I actually pushed on mute.
C
And I'm sitting there, and I'm, like, about to say something, and I'm like, but I don't see our thing going up here. And I'm like. All of a sudden, she's just busted into that, like, take me to church sort of moment. And I was like, what is happening? This is amazing. You know, like, this is good. This is really good.
B
Yeah, like, phenomenal.
C
Really good.
B
Katie Rose.
C
Holy. Yep.
B
Katie Rose with Good to Be Alive. No, I lied. I like it Heavy by Hailstorm. But you know what? It is good to be alive. It is. It is good to be alive. That was actually our last song, unfortunately.
C
All right.
B
Perfect.
C
What a ending, dude. That's how you end a podcast.
B
I couldn't imagine ending a better way. I mean, that was. That was absolutely freaking perfect. Katie Rose, thank you for singing us out, man. So this was the 2026 FnK and go theme of the week.
C
And I had a mouthful of whiskey. Dude, I couldn't do the.
B
I know, I know. And go, go. So once again, we're gonna be at PodFest in Orlando on the 16th. We're hosting a big karaoke party. Please find us in the Friday night karaoke group. Send us a note if you are able to attend, and we will add you to the guest list. We're not asking you to go so we can get some commissions for getting drinks. We're actually buying your drinks for you, and we're gonna be singing with you and hanging out, having a good time, and.
C
Yeah, and by that, we're going to PodFest. Really cool event. We always have a great time there. Lots of amazing people there. Obviously, we have on a podcast. It's our sort of our people. You know what I mean? Like, podcasting and also, if you're going to be there and you have any interest in podcasting, check that out too, because it's a lot of fun.
B
And if you're watching this on our Facebook group on video, you can also find this in all the other fun places like Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio, Spotify, Castbox, Google Podcast, Amazon, Audible, and anywhere that you listen to podcasts. And if you happen to be listening on one of those platforms and you didn't realize, oh, my God, I can watch this on video. Yes, you absolutely can. No, you can't go to YouTube and watch it. We don't post it on YouTube. We post it in the Friday night karaoke group on Facebook. Go to Facebook. It's still cool. Don't listen to the hype. Instagram and Tick Tock are not where it's at. It's all about Facebook. Yeah.
C
By the way, we do post it on YouTube.
B
We do post it on YouTube. I know.
C
Anyway, next week, theme of the week. Are we picking the theme of the week?
B
Yeah, normally we do a little banter back and forth and pick a theme of the week and try to figure out what it's gonna be. Yeah, sure. I got one. You start, you start.
C
I got one. You know what? I'm gonna go with the Kristoff Crafton. That first song theme. I'm gonna. I wanna. I wanna stick along with, like, just drinking songs. You go into a bar, you're with your buddies, you're with your pals, a song comes on, you're drinking something. Something similar. It's like the Jennifer Adams, you know, raise your glass sort of thing. Or actually, that was a list. You know, it seems like, raise your glass. Like, let's get this party started. The drinking songs, just like, it doesn't have to necessarily be about alcohol, but just like all my buddies, we're at the bar, we're having a great time. What's going on where we're all like, yeah, and all doing it. Like, what are we doing? I think. I think that's the theme. I don't know what the word is, though. What's the word I'm looking for? Just FnK party.
B
Arcade. FnK shots. FnK. No, FnK another round.
C
That's too long.
B
FnK drinks.
C
All right. Drinks. FNK drinks.
B
Cheers.
C
All right. It's even better. Fnk Cheers.
B
FNK Cheers. So drinking songs. FNK Cheers is the hashtag. Hashtag FNK Cheers. And we're going to be singing songs that you would sing at a bar or with Friends or just about drinking. It doesn't have to be about alcohol. If you're not. If you're sober or whatever, you know, do your thing. Doesn't matter. Post whatever you like. I'll be posting about whiskey.
C
Yeah.
B
Let me tell you, actually, this is perfect because we are going to be. While this theme is active, on the last day that it's active, we'll actually be in Orlando.
C
We will.
B
Our karaoke party. Singing drinking songs.
C
Oh, you know what, dude? Not that I didn't plan that. Actually, I did not totally, totally not plan that at all. But, like, that's perfect because, like, we can do that while we're there in Orlando and then post the songs for the week.
B
It would be amazing if we could get someone to live record it, and then we can get the whole bar to pick the next theme.
C
We could do that.
B
That would be kind of fun. It'd be hard, but it'd be fun.
C
Yeah, it'd be difficult. Multiple choice and, like, list out three and make everybody clap and do, like, the plaza meter or something like that.
B
You know, like, yeah, I volunteer to get up there and, like, who loves this one?
A
Yeah, Right.
C
Exactly.
B
You get back.
C
I think they love songs and people suit. They clap, man, I hate songs. And then, like, you know, like, you know, like, if.
B
If Love Songs wins, I give up, and I'm giving the group to somebody else. It's like, we're there. We just did a drinking song. We're hyping everyone up. We're like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
C
And they're like, it was like, FNK Heartbreak Week. And you're like, damn it.
B
Heartbreak's cool. Whatever it is.
C
But, like, you know, I'm not. I'm not ready for that yet.
B
Yeah.
C
February 15th is Fnk heartbreak Week. We're like, we can't change that.
B
Oh, yeah, you're right. It always. It's. I kind of like when we do the bad theme, you know, it's coming up. It's coming up real soon. Yeah, it's actually real soon. So.
C
Hey, can we write this down for future FnK? Love stinks.
B
Let's just.
C
Can we do that? Yeah, but let's do that.
B
Yeah.
C
And then you can. I know. I know. You can pick the meme for that one as well. You can pick.
B
Oh, yeah, I sure can.
C
All right.
B
I love it.
C
Ready to wrap this up?
B
Thank you all. This was awesome. I love recording this, Joe. I love recording this with you. Happy freaking 50th birthday, Joe Rubin. Man, is awesome. Awesome.
C
Thank you. Yes. Thank you, brother.
B
Catch you all later. Later. Bye.
