Danielle Carolyn
Foreign. Hey, guys, what's up? Welcome back to the Gals on the Go podcast.
Brooke Michio
It's Brooke and Danielle. Happy Wednesday. Hope you're having a fabulous day and hopefully we can make this day a little bit more fabulous for you.
Danielle Carolyn
More bright.
Brooke Michio
A little bit more bright. We were saying it's, you know, because we got to talk about the weather. You know, it's still nice and warm here in New York. Toasty, you know, A little toasty. I, I do want to make a chili tonight, though. So I'm like, oh, you can maybe just crank down the ac.
Danielle Carolyn
I made a soup recently and it was like, like, it feels appropriate, but.
Brooke Michio
It does feel appropriate and it just makes for such good leftovers. Like at least chili soups. I feel like that's like a single serve for the day.
Danielle Carolyn
This one was a very hearty soup and it was, we used, like, won like pieces, I guess, basically. So it soaks up. You need something that's going to like, like a noodle or like something that's going soak it up. I feel like that, that sits well.
Brooke Michio
So well in the tub, you know?
Danielle Carolyn
I love, love a soup.
Brooke Michio
Yeah. Well, we are fully in. I mean, you could, one could say we're starting spooky season, which is just crazy. Like, we're in October now. Like, I, September came and went and.
Danielle Carolyn
Then she was gone.
Brooke Michio
And then she was gone in October. At least for me. I don't actually. Yeah, you two. I think we're both traveling a good bit this month.
Danielle Carolyn
Not like, I just have like a chill, like an open month kind of. But like, things are going to come up, I feel like. So I, I, I'm like, I'm fluid. You know what I mean? It's like, oh, I want to go pumpkin pick. Like, I want to go upstate. Like, I have, like, things on my list, but it's like I could fill it in wherever I want to.
Brooke Michio
No, that's really nice. That's my November. Yeah, October is not looking great.
Danielle Carolyn
I was gonna say you have lots of weddings.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
Weddings.
Brooke Michio
How many weddings? Just two. But like, to me, that's a lot.
Danielle Carolyn
No, that is a lot.
Brooke Michio
They're back to back weekends.
Danielle Carolyn
Both in Georgia.
Brooke Michio
Both in Georgia. So. But I'm not Gonna, like, stay, and I'm gonna come back, you know, in and out.
Danielle Carolyn
No, you go to a lot of Georgia weddings.
Brooke Michio
A lot of Georgia weddings. I'm so excited, though. We just got invited to a wedding in Italy next year. I'll have to tell you later. Very, very. I'm like, finally. Let's go. I'm ready.
Danielle Carolyn
You're like, big, big wedding.
Brooke Michio
I know. I'm so.
Danielle Carolyn
Did you know that that was coming?
Brooke Michio
No idea.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, that's.
Brooke Michio
I had no idea. It's actually. I should tell the story, so. It's so classic. Boy. We were talking about this couple that just got engaged, and we were like, oh, I wonder if we'd be invited to the wedding. Probably not. You know, it's always fun to play that game. Like, are we going to be invited to the wedding? You know, I don't know. I haven't talked to them in a while. Whatever. And then I found. Because I found out where it was going to be, and I was like, oh, that would be so nice to go to Italy. Whatever. And Ryan goes, wait, that person actually just asked me for our address the other day. I was like, ryan, that's probably what it's for.
Danielle Carolyn
He's not 100. I mean, love the friend, but, like, guys don't send guys, like, housewarming gifts. Like, that's not happening. Like, I don't know what else for the Christmas card. Like, what else does he think it's for?
Brooke Michio
It's just like. It's just. Ryan is classic. Like, oh, yeah, they broke up. I don't know what happened. Like, yes. Any details are just so out.
Danielle Carolyn
So I was like, that's like. I feel like typical boys. Like, they're just like, damn, she broke. I'm up. Like, yeah, it is ripped.
Brooke Michio
The band.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. Like, there's no us. It's like, I need time, I need place. I need major characters. I need, like, setting. Like, I need to know every detail.
Brooke Michio
Is Ben like that, or will he, like, provide details?
Danielle Carolyn
I have to dig. But still, it's not much. Like, he's like, I stopped asking after that point.
Brooke Michio
You know, I'm like, why not?
Danielle Carolyn
I'm like, okay, well, then we're gonna have to invite him over, and I'm gonna have to talk.
Brooke Michio
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
So let me.
Brooke Michio
I'm gonna have to get to the bottom.
Danielle Carolyn
Let me try. Like, let me give the best shot.
Brooke Michio
I will never understand this with boys. They just don't even think to ask a further question. Like, whereas we're like, wait, but, you know, what were you Wearing like, yeah, yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
We're like, no. But like, what was their face like? You know, were they shocked? Were they not? Like there's. There's important context. Like, because it's like some people are more like deadp. More like simply. And some people say things can be whatever. I had a similar situation where we sent. We asked a couple for their address because we went to their engagement party. And this was actually like a little. A mini panic because, like, engagement party, Surprise engagement party. They got engaged. We knew it was happening. Like, we were invited to the. Like, it was like a surprise afterwards for her.
Brooke Michio
Was this. This weekend?
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. Oh, I know. I was like off the grid. I know. Well, because like, engagement parties, I'm like, I want you to have your moment.
Brooke Michio
Oh, because they hadn't posted.
Danielle Carolyn
No.
Brooke Michio
Oh, yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Then definitely. So I was like, why does Brooke Mitch. No share that? Like, that feels weird. Like 100, you know, like, I was like, I. I'm good.
Brooke Michio
Like worries.
Danielle Carolyn
Haha. No worries. But we were. Whatever. Was at a bar. But then I was thinking, I did have the thought before I left. I was like, should I be bringing a gift? Because you know me, like, I bring a gift.
Brooke Michio
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
But it was at a bar.
Brooke Michio
I know. Where are they going to put that?
Danielle Carolyn
No. And I was thinking about it and I was like, oh, like, what am I even going to get them? That's going to. And there's.
Brooke Michio
So there's the wedding gift. Eventually. There's all kinds of.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. And it's at a bar. Like, am I going to bring them a bottle of liquor to the bar?
Brooke Michio
Like, you in with that?
Danielle Carolyn
I had these thoughts. So then I was like, okay, they probably aren't going to want to carry everything home from the bar.
Brooke Michio
Like, what if they want to go somewhere else after?
Danielle Carolyn
Totally. So we sent them flowers the next.
Brooke Michio
That's really nice.
Danielle Carolyn
I had been asked for his address. He's like, hey, can I get your address? And he goes, why? Why are you asking why? You literally just got engaged yesterday. What do you think it's for the guys.
Brooke Michio
I mean, you could only imagine, like our wedding invitation.
Danielle Carolyn
We're getting an early start. Like, no, guys are just so, like, like, they're like, oh, why didn't my own. Like, it's like, well, you got engaged yesterday.
Brooke Michio
That might be it. Gosh, boys are so silly.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, really silly. But it was really fun. That honestly, is like so ideal. And the fact that guys can even have the thought to plan like a whole surprise. Like this was like a month out too, that he and no one spilled the beans. Like, it was really, like, a Truly.
Brooke Michio
And a lot of people knew. Yes. You knew?
Danielle Carolyn
Yes, because I was in. Like, I was in. Yeah. Well, Ben was invited, so then he told me about it, and I was.
Brooke Michio
So he told everyone for a month. Wow.
Danielle Carolyn
There's a party full. I was thinking about it.
Brooke Michio
I was like, that's dangerous.
Danielle Carolyn
I had the thought, too. I was like, these are good friends. And if it was truly under lock.
Brooke Michio
And key, which is how it should be. But. Yeah, I mean, I. Yeah. Wow.
Danielle Carolyn
No, it was like, hey, I'm gonna propose to her during the day, and then, like, we're gonna surprise her. That is so nice, though, to have all of your friends and family, like, pop out surprise. I mean, it would be great if it was a true, true surprise, but it's always something sus. It's like, let's go for a walk around the block. Like.
Brooke Michio
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
It's like, we've literally never done this. Like, you know what I mean?
Brooke Michio
Like, I know. You got to get really, really creative.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. Or like, we're going to, like, go to this specific bar at this specific time. Like, it's. It's very. Like, you're like, is everything okay?
Brooke Michio
Like, yeah. And find my friends doesn't help. I feel like back in the day, you know, you couldn't then go track all your friends and family and see they're nearby, you know, or they're all at the same location. All their little profile pictures.
Danielle Carolyn
I was thinking about that. I was like, I feel like Danielle would be looking, so then she would know. Like, it's hard to get you for the surprise.
Brooke Michio
It's hard to get you.
Danielle Carolyn
It is.
Brooke Michio
That's. I just got on the side of TikTok. I'm sure you've seen where, like, people think they're, you know, at a baptism, but really, it's a wedding or stuff like that.
Danielle Carolyn
What?
Brooke Michio
Nope.
Danielle Carolyn
No. You have to explain this further.
Brooke Michio
Well, it was this beautiful video. I'm. I. Do you ever get videos from, like, wedding videographers that go viral?
Danielle Carolyn
Of course. The speeches, Best maid of honor speech.
Brooke Michio
Yeah, it's always the best one.
Danielle Carolyn
The best one. Yeah. Funniest. Best friends.
Brooke Michio
Very touching.
Danielle Carolyn
And they usually are. Very touching. Honestly. Like, I'm like, oh. And then I'm like, wow, you're right.
Brooke Michio
You got me. But it was one of those types of videos, and it was all these people. I think it might have been overseas. They were there for a christening for a baby, and, you know, some people were literally wearing White. But they all had those fascinators on. Like the old fashion like hat fascinator.
Danielle Carolyn
Like a mini hat.
Brooke Michio
Yeah, like those mini hats. They. I just cuz people. Yeah, I remember never have heard of that.
Danielle Carolyn
I would call them a mini hat.
Brooke Michio
Yeah, Fascinator.
Danielle Carolyn
Okay.
Brooke Michio
And they were all there and all of a sudden like the music changed and they see her come down in a wedding dress and they were like, you see some of the girls wearing white? Like, oh no, like I'm wearing white.
Danielle Carolyn
I did see one girl that I follow on, Tik Tok just had a surprise wedding. Shelby Sako. Do you know who that is? Sad to savage. That was like her thing. So like did you know, just go.
Brooke Michio
I feel like I saw her name.
Danielle Carolyn
I don't know.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
You would know her.
Danielle Carolyn
She did like a whole like fitness series a while ago. I feel like you were like. Like we. We both would have liked it. Like it was inspiring, motivating, like all this stuff. And I actually did see she. It was like supposed to be the bridal shower bachelorette or something. And then all of a sudden it was the wedding.
Brooke Michio
But. Oh yeah, I saw that one.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh yeah, that was.
Brooke Michio
That was another one I saw.
Danielle Carolyn
Yes, but she had like three weddings apparently, so I guess that was one bachelorette.
Brooke Michio
I saw someone that did a bachelorette.
Danielle Carolyn
Yes.
Brooke Michio
Or something.
Danielle Carolyn
That's. That's wild. I mean, I'm gonna say like straight up, like that's why.
Brooke Michio
No, it's wild. And I wonder like I get is the reason why. Because she already knows she has everyone in that room.
Danielle Carolyn
And like I guess I. But I. But like the wedding's coming up. No, like, I don't know.
Brooke Michio
I'm like, I will do all of the things.
Danielle Carolyn
Are you gonna get married multiple times?
Brooke Michio
Oh, sorry. No, no, no, no, no.
Danielle Carolyn
Imagine, imagine. Then I was like, yeah, I'm having five.
Brooke Michio
No, I just mean like I will do The Bachelorette.
Danielle Carolyn
Yes. 100.
Brooke Michio
You too.
Danielle Carolyn
I want everything to be its own individual moment too.
Brooke Michio
Like I don't gotta celebrate us more.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, no, but one. One. Well, I guess you have to do the court thing, right?
Brooke Michio
Yeah, you gotta go to the church. You take. Gotta get an epic.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, the picture. Yeah, like of you, like you know, like in your officiant or whatever it is. Yeah, the legal documents, Right.
Brooke Michio
Apparently it's very. Not sexy at all doing this.
Danielle Carolyn
I've heard, I've heard this.
Brooke Michio
They make it very cute. The film photos.
Danielle Carolyn
I know where the one is in Brooklyn, cuz it's like somewhat near me. Like a Lot of people there. And I see people, like, with their photographer running around like, this is cute.
Brooke Michio
Yeah. I love talking about this stuff. It's so entertaining. Like, just how everyone does it. And it's definitely like, I feel like there's two wedding seasons in the year. One is in the spring and then one's in the fall. Do you feel this way? I mean, always. People are always getting married, but fall and like, Like October and April, I feel like, are really crazy with weddings.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, for sure.
Brooke Michio
And then there's summer, there's all the weddings. But for sure, no.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. I mean, it takes really, an engagement party for everybody then to be asking, like, when are you gonna get engaged? Like, I was like, I literally started to bend the car. I was like, be prepared for the question. He was like, no one's literally gonna ask me that. We, like, get in the car, home. He was like, everyone asked me that.
Brooke Michio
Like, it was like, did you go in, did you go into the event thinking, what would Mel say? What would Mel.
Danielle Carolyn
I played him that clip. I did. I was like, like, let him.
Brooke Michio
He loves it.
Danielle Carolyn
It's been our bit now.
Brooke Michio
Like, stop bitching.
Danielle Carolyn
Let him, let him.
Brooke Michio
We love Mel so much. Like, can she come on?
Danielle Carolyn
Literally, Please, Let him, let him.
Brooke Michio
Yeah, yeah, no, I'm sure. And then what do you say? You're just like, ah. Like, oh.
Danielle Carolyn
When people ask me, I'm like, well, better be by next spring. Like. Like spring. By spring, I make it. Yeah. Lol. I make it like a bed. Like, I'm. Yeah, I'm trying to lean into the humor. Like, with. He told me, he said one guy asked when and he gave him a timeline, but. And I said, what timeline did you say? He said, I'm not going to tell you.
Brooke Michio
I wonder if I asked him if he would tell me. Do you think you would tell me?
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, maybe. No, actually, I don't know.
Brooke Michio
I would not tell you, though. But it would be hard if, like, you were, like, complaining to me or something. I'd be like, it's happening.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, yeah, maybe.
Brooke Michio
I know. Maybe he shouldn't. I would hope he would doubt me.
Danielle Carolyn
No, of course. I think that you would be included in some sort of plan. Like, I don't think that he's not the type of person to just, like, go completely rogue and, like, what? Like, he would include, I think, people in my life and stuff. Like, I do believe that.
Brooke Michio
Go, Ben.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, I. I think. I mean, I guess you don't really know until you know, but, like, when you know, when you know you know?
Brooke Michio
Well, we. I feel like there's so much to talk about. I mean, obviously, we're already talking. Should we do our glam on the go panic of the week?
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
For sure.
Brooke Michio
Glam on the go. Let's do it.
Danielle Carolyn
I'm on the go.
Brooke Michio
What are we loving? What? I feel like you're my beauty queen these days. You're always telling me about a new product. Like, what do we got?
Danielle Carolyn
I'm trying to speed up my routine. That's, like, my new thing because, like, I feel like I got too into it, where I would, like, sit and, like, do my makeup for an hour. No, I was. And then, honestly, I was inspired because I listened to a podcast that Bobby Brown was on, and she was like, people need to look in the mirror at themselves less. And I was like, holy. Like, you are so right. Like, I do look like I spent a lot of time. And that's why I think you're thinking about, like, your flaws and perceiving yourself. Like, I should look at myself less. Yeah, you're so right. So now I'm trying to speed it up a little.
Brooke Michio
Speed it up. So she's got it.
Danielle Carolyn
I know. Well, because I was wearing it today, so I was like, Kosas wet lip oil. I like this because it's, like, the perfect mix between lip gloss and, like, lip balm. Like, it's, like, it stays with that, like, slicky look without being sticky.
Brooke Michio
Huh?
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
Yes.
Danielle Carolyn
This is the shade unbuttoned. I don't know. And I like the packaging, too. Like, Hostess did such a good job with packaging.
Brooke Michio
Yeah, that's, like, a really chic packaging. And I saw you commented on my video. Kosas did an activation at. @ UGA.
Danielle Carolyn
Were they giving away stuff?
Brooke Michio
It looked like it. I. I kept walking, but I heard someone say, like, oh, I love this mascara. So maybe they were handing out little mascaras. I just think that was never the case when we were at Georgia.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
No.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
Tarte was also there this week.
Danielle Carolyn
Silver Dollar. Yeah. They went, like, around. I feel like Maureen.
Brooke Michio
Oh, multiple place. Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
She went to the sorority house. Maureen was. She went to kd.
Brooke Michio
Yeah. Of course they would go to kd. Yeah. Like, makes sense. I think her niece might be a kd from my research. Oh, wow, you went deep. Well, I did. And so then I obviously DM'd her. I responded to her because they had invited you and I if we were in town.
Danielle Carolyn
They.
Brooke Michio
They called it tripping with Tart.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
Athens, Georgia. And I was like, oh, my God, are they doing a brand trip?
Danielle Carolyn
When I first read that too, I was excited. Oh my God, we're getting sent back to Georgia. Let's go. Yeah.
Brooke Michio
I feel like once a year we get sent back to Georgia in some way with the brand.
Danielle Carolyn
That's really cool. I had not. And then it was twice a year. Last year I just hit my quota. Yeah.
Brooke Michio
Oh my God.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
It was Disney and Spotify.
Danielle Carolyn
That was very cool.
Brooke Michio
Slay gals.
Danielle Carolyn
I know, I know.
Brooke Michio
But I DM'd. I just responded to her story and I was like, oh my gosh, that's so fun you're here. I forget what I said to Maureen or the Maureen because I was like.
Danielle Carolyn
Do you follow each other?
Brooke Michio
I follow her. Oh, she didn't follow me. And I dm cuz, you know, that's okay.
Danielle Carolyn
Mel says, Mel says that's okay.
Brooke Michio
I choose to follow her. She doesn't have to follow me. So I messaged her. I was like, oh my gosh, it's so fun. I. I responded. The Katie thing, I was like, yeah, I was a Katie at Georgia. Like so exciting. And she responded. She was like, oh my gosh, hi. Are you going to the game? And she followed me. So we're in next. Tripping in with Tart. You will see the gals, Maureen. But I responded and then she never responded back. So if anyone here, I would imagine.
Danielle Carolyn
Her DMS are crazy.
Brooke Michio
I couldn't even believe she honestly saw mine. So thank you Maureen. If you know, you know, like, she like is very active on social media.
Danielle Carolyn
I always hear in people's comments and.
Brooke Michio
Stuff, I'm like, she's in there.
Danielle Carolyn
You too, Maureen?
Brooke Michio
Yeah, she's like sending people gifts like she's in there. But yeah, so go Georgia and Tangle Teaser. Did the pop up? Like I love all these brands collaborating or activating on campuses. So we love cosas for that.
Danielle Carolyn
Smart.
Brooke Michio
What do you say?
Danielle Carolyn
I don't really what I say. Kosas.
Brooke Michio
I think I don't even know what you said. I just said it and I was.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, I think it's tomato.
Brooke Michio
Tomato.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, perhaps maybe you're like me and.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice

Brooke Michio
What are you glam in my glam? It's not so glam, I guess, but it is a product. It is from the brand Tree Hut, and it's a moisturizing shave oil.
Danielle Carolyn
Okay.
Brooke Michio
I feel like that's so fun. Like, I don't know. Last time I use, like, a true shaving cream.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
But this is. And it's in the scent. Santal haze. Oh, my gosh. I just think anything with a pump in the shower, I'm done. I feel like you like a pump.
Danielle Carolyn
Love it, too. Yeah.
Brooke Michio
It's just so nice. And it smells so, so good. And I just put on to shave, and it's just. I feel like there's less bumps and there's also ashwagandha in it, so it helps, like, calm with redness and everything. I really, really like it. And I know, like, they sell Tree Hut at, like, Target and on Amazon, so it's really accessible, I feel like.
Danielle Carolyn
And that's great.
Brooke Michio
I'm almost out. I'm gonna do a repurchase. I really, really like it. I know. I think it's fun.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
It's lovely.
Brooke Michio
Or I'll use, like, the L Citan almond one, but then.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
Oh, my gosh. It's so good. Like, I don't want to waste it.
Danielle Carolyn
I feel that, too.
Brooke Michio
Pump.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
I ration, actually.
Brooke Michio
Yeah. They have ones with pumps.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, really? I have at one time, I spilled on the floor. You know, it's like, probably almost dies. Like, you spill that shower oil on the slick floor, and it's like, all right. Like, you could. You might have a head injury, like, because you can slip and fall backwards. You're slick.
Brooke Michio
Yeah. Slippery. Saying all these rap songs right now.
Danielle Carolyn
Well, Georgia will do that to you.
Brooke Michio
Georgia will do that to panic of the week.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. Panic.
Brooke Michio
What are you panicked about?
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
You're.
Brooke Michio
You're always panicked.
Danielle Carolyn
Always panicked about something. I mean, I feel like I'm Continuing my workout journey. Okay, did I talk about the fact that Sal taught me how to work out?
Brooke Michio
Not on the pod. You do need to tell the gal pals.
Danielle Carolyn
It was really, really sweet of him, you know, but I fully asked my brother. My. Obviously he's, you know, very fit. He.
Brooke Michio
You asked for this.
Danielle Carolyn
He goes to the gym every day, twice a day usually. Cuz he does cardio in the morning and then he does his weights at the end of the day. So like this is truly. He's like, he could be a personal trainer like if I want, you know, for sure. So I was like, okay, look, I want to start using the gym. And the gym is a scary place. Like it is just room with weights and some machines and a lot of like accessories and props.
Brooke Michio
Accessories. The prop table, the prop to book. Yeah, no, literally though, all the like pulley systems and.
Danielle Carolyn
No. And I don't. I didn't even know how to change the strings like, or like change the prop. I know.
Brooke Michio
Carabiner. There's so much going on.
Danielle Carolyn
No, I, I truly was. I mean, I think that we took a class in like middle school or high school, but like, I don't remember.
Brooke Michio
Never taught.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, we had like weight room.
Brooke Michio
Oh, weight room. Oh, yeah, I guess we have athletic conditioning. Did like, they didn't teach us. They just like let us use the.
Danielle Carolyn
Gym and whatever they like taught us. But like I was like, not actually. You know what I mean?
Brooke Michio
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
You don't actually like, I wasn't paying attention.
Brooke Michio
I was like, it's like your hour. Stick around.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
I was like, oh my God, this is so stupid.
Brooke Michio
Who cares? You know, Training now we're like protein and weight training.
Danielle Carolyn
Exactly. But I just was like, I just want to feel more comfortable like doing my thing. I also like do like working out alone. I love plugging my headphones like doing my thing.
Brooke Michio
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
So like I. And that's what literally everybody does. I've. I've watched what happens in the gym and everybody just has their headphones and they're just doing their own thing. So I'm like, if I could learn then I could be one of these people and go and do my routine and like that's it. Go upstairs, totally back to my room. So I had him come and teach me just like the basics of how to use the machines. And he did. Except for the fact that then we like got to a point where like, you know, he, he's. He was teaching me how to do like the chest exercises and the shoulders, which. And all these things. And then, like, we kind of got halfway through. And he was like, but, like, these are. These are what I do, though. Like, yeah, for.
Brooke Michio
For.
Danielle Carolyn
For, like, you might have different goals. And I know some girls like to do glutes and something. And he was like, you need to, like, go on tick tock and figure out what you want to do. And I was like, okay, you're right. So he really just taught me how to use the equipment. So I did my own, like, free workout yesterday. It was scary as, like, I still. I felt like everybody was staring at me. I was like, no, I'm literally. I'm new here. Like, I. But I didn't want anyone to talk to me at the same time because, like, right.
Brooke Michio
So head down, don't even make eye contact.
Danielle Carolyn
Exactly. And I just. I'm still learning the etiquette. Like, you know what? I know the etiquette. Like, I know. You know, my brother's like. He was like, you always re. Rack your weights. I was like, I know that. I was like, I would never leave them out. Like, that I would not mess up. Yeah. And I was like, do I have to change back the, like, cord thing on the.
Brooke Michio
Oh.
Danielle Carolyn
Because he was like, you have a cable machine that could pretty much do everything. He was like, trying to tell me, like, what can do everything. Like, I know it could do everything, but, like, that's almost too much. Like, I needed to, like, almost limited things. I can. Because, like, then I can. Yes, I agree. But TikTok is amazing. I literally went in there and I searched. Gym, workout, machine, leg, women.
Brooke Michio
Oh, smart.
Danielle Carolyn
And they have.
Brooke Michio
And it tells you, like, how many reps?
Danielle Carolyn
Yes.
Brooke Michio
Oh, that's. That's good. Tik Tok.
Danielle Carolyn
Honestly, Because I searched, like, because I really. I didn't want to use the free weights. Like, I was kind of nervous. Like, I don't know. I was just like, I want to use the machines if they're just so many.
Brooke Michio
So that's just what I'm a nice big gym.
Danielle Carolyn
It's a wonderful gym. And I, like, it's, like, nice and bright in there. A lot of natural light. Like, I really enjoy my time in there. I just. I feel like everybody.
Brooke Michio
No one, actually, no one is at all.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, everybody's staring at me. And it's always all men. Like, there's like, it's really.
Brooke Michio
Yeah. No, it's so true. Because. Because all of us girls are intimidated. We're going to the workout classes because we're so intimidated. But sometimes you just want to. If you are so Lucky to have a gym in your building. Like, you just want to be able to go to the gym in your building.
Danielle Carolyn
I have literally no excuse. Like, that's the thing.
Brooke Michio
Like, I'm like, especially when it gets colder. And you're not.
Danielle Carolyn
No. And then Sal was trying to tell me his workouts, but he was like, okay. So I was like, give me, like, a good split. He was like, Monday back and buys Tuesday leg, Thursday shoulder and, like, whatever. And I was like, okay. Like, unfortunately, like, I'm not gonna do five days of weights. Like, yeah, I'm not. I. This is my first time here. He's like, okay, we're gonna break it down. Very simple. Two days, upper body, lower body.
Brooke Michio
I was like, sweet.
Danielle Carolyn
Great. Excellent. Thank you. On top of, like, Pilates, whatever. So I don't know.
Brooke Michio
Panicky, though, when you're like, oh, my gosh, what did he say to do again?
Danielle Carolyn
That's what I'm saying. My mind literally went blank. I was like, he literally just showed me how to do this.
Brooke Michio
No, but he's showing you so much at one point.
Danielle Carolyn
No.
Brooke Michio
Oh, my God. That's. I'm really proud of you. That's amazing. I don't. I do not even do that, really.
Danielle Carolyn
I'm going to invite him back because. Well, like, Ryan could show you how to do all this, probably. Right. Like, Ryan's, like, into weights and stuff.
Brooke Michio
My trainer shows me.
Danielle Carolyn
Well, of course, that's.
Brooke Michio
And I. But I just. So I just opt to do it with her and have no brain on. But, yes, you're right.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, when you go to the gym, like, you could, Hypothetically.
Brooke Michio
Yes.
Danielle Carolyn
Do a thing with him, maybe.
Brooke Michio
Because we've done it a few times.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. Like lifting weights and stuff.
Brooke Michio
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
The trainer definitely shows you how to. And there's definitely people with their trainer, which, like, I'm interested in. But at the same time, I. I have a lot of things going on right now, so I've got, like. I'm doing unlimited body rock. Like, I'm doing that. Like, I feel like it's hard. I gotta pick a lane.
Brooke Michio
No, there are so many. I do love having a trainer, because one. There's, like. They just move everything. They take everything. They add the weights, and it's kind of like therapy. You just talk for an hour. And, like, that's really nice. You know? I mean, I don't know.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
No.
Danielle Carolyn
And it's less awkward because you have someone to be there with, but it's something with the headphones and, like, I put on my mix.
Brooke Michio
No music Sucks. And that's so like, baller to be in the gym with your headphones on and just, like, get in your zone. So that's true, too. Well, that's so exciting and very panicky at the same time.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
Anyways, my panic, plain and simple, the Georgia Bulldogs lost to Alabama. And it's just. It was so panicky for so many reasons, because obviously, like, it was just like, wow, we, like, flew down here, you know, like, came down all this way. And then the panic was like, oh, my gosh, are we the problem? You know, because then Ryan thinks he's on the team, and he's like. Like, oh, my God. Like, we can't come back to any more Georgia, Alabama games. Because last year, you and I and Ben and Ryan went to the Georgia Alabama game in Tuscaloosa, and we lost. So not feeling great.
Danielle Carolyn
That was honestly, like, such an iconic game, though. I feel like it was back in.
Brooke Michio
The fourth, and it was. You're right. And it. That was a really stress.
Danielle Carolyn
It was stressful. But, like, when you look back, like.
Brooke Michio
We were in there.
Danielle Carolyn
Whoa.
Brooke Michio
We had good seats, too. That was fun. And this game, it was like, the first half, we didn't score, I don't think. And then the second half, we really came back, like, it ended up being 24 to 21. Like, it was really close. Game. Game. It just sucked. And I was just panicked because then all my friends that had come into town for it, like, we all had plans to meet out downtown afterwards, and they're like, you know, are we gonna be seeing you and Ryan? And Ryan's gotten better. Like, he used to really be like, don't no one talk to me. Like, you know, And I think he's matured a little bit, because I remember a lot. I mean, we didn't go out last year, but I remember Ryan was a little bit more positive than I thought he would. So we still, like, met up with our friends after for, like, an hour. And, you know, we were sad about it, but just sucks.
Danielle Carolyn
Something about suck.
Brooke Michio
Alabama.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. I was gonna say. I was gonna ask if you went out, but I saw that there you guys did go, like, see friends and stuff. Because I. I. Yeah. You know, you have emotional ties.
Brooke Michio
Actually, this should have been my panic. Yeah. So then we're out at Paulie's, obviously, so it's, like, the only place we can get into because everything's so crowded, whatever. And we're leaving to go home, and I walk outside, Ryan saying goodbye to someone. So I'm standing out Front. All of a sudden, like, this is actually scary. A ton of people to start running down the street. And I'm like, oh, my God, something terrible has happened. Like, everyone's running, screaming. I'm freaking out. So I immediately run back into Paulie's, my safe space. And I grabbed Ryan. He had no idea what's happening. And everyone. We're all just kind of looking to, like, what do we do? What do we. I walk into police. I lock the door, but no one else was, like, freaking out. I was like, hello? Everyone is running down the streets, like, freaking out, and it kind of dissipates. And then I go outside, and all of a sudden, me and Ryan start coughing, and we're like. And everyone has their, like, shirts on their face. I guess a fight had broken out, and the police sprayed pepper spray. What? So crazy. But it must have been a lot of pepper spray because we literally. Ryan had tears.
Danielle Carolyn
Was it, like, tear gas? Like, I think that's what I thought.
Brooke Michio
But I texted, spray. Like, we, like, left. We didn't know what happened. But I had texted to someone that went to Polly's later that night, and he was like, it was pepper spray. Twice that. But I know. I'm like, how much did they spray? Because, I mean, these are like, at least 100 of us were like. It was so freaky.
Danielle Carolyn
That sounds.
Brooke Michio
I'm glad everyone's okay, though, and, like, whatever, but.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, you almost, like, never hear that. Oh, my.
Brooke Michio
No, it was just not the Athens I know.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
No, it's not.
Brooke Michio
It really is. Like, I feel very safe.
Danielle Carolyn
It gets crazy and, like, packed and stuff like that, but at the end of the day, it is like, a town.
Brooke Michio
Like, it's not.
Danielle Carolyn
It doesn't feel like. Like a big city. It feels like a college town.
Brooke Michio
It does. It just didn't feel like that.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
And I think. Honestly, I think a lot of people had, like, gone home, so it was just, like, all kinds of people I don't even know.
Danielle Carolyn
I see.
Brooke Michio
Well, I know the Alabama fans.
Danielle Carolyn
It gets. No, it gets rowdy. I feel like on game day weekends, though, like.
Brooke Michio
It does. It was just, like, freaky, and I. It just, like, put a sour taste in my mouth. I was like, that was like, the last Athens experience.
Danielle Carolyn
I thought you were gonna say something exploded or something.
Brooke Michio
Well, that's low key. When I thought I was like, oh, my God, here we go. This is so scary. So I feel really grateful that everyone's okay. And it was just weird. So that was panicky for sure.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. We don't like to hear that.
Brooke Michio
No. No. But, yeah, so that's. That went to Athens for Georgia game day. It was so fun.
Danielle Carolyn
You saw friends?
Brooke Michio
Saw friends saw, like, friend's baby. Oh, my God. I talked to Brooke. I said, brooke, I might be holding a baby this weekend.
Danielle Carolyn
Big moves, guys.
Brooke Michio
Big moves. Because Brooke and I don't, like. Babies are, you know, great, but we get really scared to hold them.
Danielle Carolyn
I. I don't think I've still held one.
Brooke Michio
Like. Oh, you still don't think you've held one?
Danielle Carolyn
No, I haven't held my cousins yet. I. Yeah, they want. They were like, brooke. And I was like, I'm not ready yet. And they're like, understood completely. No, I completely respect that.
Brooke Michio
Of course. Like, we don't want you to hold our baby if you're not, like, wanting to.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
But that baby is my friend Emmy's baby. She just had this child, and it was so cute. Like, a lot of times I'm like, okay. I'm not even. Like, the baby's not cute. This baby was so freaking cute. And she was like, just sit on the couch. We're gonna put a pillow. And I. He was, like, so sleepy. And, like, he's still pretty. Pretty new. So he's not even very, like. Like, he doesn't cry. Like, he literally just sleeps all day. She basically said. So she placed him on my lap and. Oh, my God.
Danielle Carolyn
He just like.
Brooke Michio
Like, it was the cutest thing. Did it make me, like, want a child tomorrow? No. You know, some people are like, yeah. You know, not necessarily.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
But. Oh, my God, I just can't wait. Like, I feel so lucky that, you know, she's one of my good friends. And I'll be able to say, like, I held you when you were a week and a half, you know, And. And then her husband was like, ryan, I gotta see you hold this baby. And Ryan's like, no, no. Like, I. I shouldn't. And. But they were like, please. Like. So he sat down and held the baby.
Danielle Carolyn
Did he, like. Did he like doing it?
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
I don't know.
Brooke Michio
He was just kind of like, whoa. I think he was nervous, but it was.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
And then it started crying one.
Danielle Carolyn
Right. Oh. And.
Brooke Michio
But they were like, no, I think he's just ready for milk.
Danielle Carolyn
And it was being, like, passed around.
Brooke Michio
Yeah. It had been, like, an hour at this point. So. Yes. Held a baby. It was really nice. When we go to Georgia, we try to hit all the spots.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
I'm sure everybody.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, you have to see Ryan's Family.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
You have to see that.
Danielle Carolyn
Like yeah, you have like your list.
Brooke Michio
Of like we've got all the things. So we, we got it all in and it was really lovely. Honestly. No notes. Went to Ryan's fraternity house which we hadn't done in a minute which was interesting because it was alumni weekend so that. But we honestly wasn't hitting like we stayed there for probably 30 minutes. It was sweaty.
Danielle Carolyn
You don't know the people anymore.
Brooke Michio
No, we don't know the people anymore. We just kind of hung out with all the alumni on the side of the house. There's probably like 40 of them. There was a lot of alumni there but it just like didn't hit. Met a lot of listeners though. And I was like do you go here? And they said yeah. Like I met freshmen at Georgia that listen to gals in the Go shout out. I think her name was Gracie specifically. I remember that one name.
Danielle Carolyn
Wow, that is so cool.
Brooke Michio
She was like, I forget. I don't know. There was a five year Georgia freshman girl. She loves listening to gals in the. Oh she was so cute and it was just so special.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh my God, I love that.
Brooke Michio
I know. It made me really happy to see some girls were like we went to the tangle teaser pop up because you and I was like you guys obsessed. So we still got reached with the college.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, it was effective market.
Brooke Michio
It made us really happy. So yeah that, that was my weekend. Really.
Danielle Carolyn
Vibes are up.
Brooke Michio
Vibe. We're so up.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, I mean well not really cuz dogs are down but like. Yeah, vibes are up though like. But I feel like you guys are like still doing good then. So are you guys, when you go to Georgia like for all these times do you stay at Ryan's parents house every time or you stay at like hotels nearby? Because I like the game for weddings.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
Sorry.
Brooke Michio
Oh yeah, we'll stay at his house. Except for like once when I was a bridesmaid we like stayed at the hotel. But these next couple weddings. Yeah, we'll stay with them. So I was like see you guys soon.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh see. Literally see you soon.
Brooke Michio
Yeah, see you soon.
Danielle Carolyn
No, that makes sense. I feel like it. That actually is a lot of like I feel like the travel like when we're talking about like destination weddings and stuff. Like what makes it add up a lot is I would feel like the hotel.
Brooke Michio
Yeah. So it's really nice that they and they like pick us up from the airport which is so nice. I know, I know. It's really, really so sweet. And a lot of times it's like we only see them for a, you know.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
Short amount of time, but very nice. So, yeah, I wish I had, like, funny stories, but it was just, you know, good old dogs weekend.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice

How about you? I feel like you did so much. I wanna. Well, you did the engagement party, as we know.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, that was my. That was my Saturday. What did I do on Friday?
Brooke Michio
You went to Millennium.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, my God. I did go to Millennium. Yeah. Well, you. Have you been to that venue, Pier 17? Oh, my God. Incredible.
Brooke Michio
Had you never been?
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
No.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, my God.
Brooke Michio
Isn't it so beautiful?
Danielle Carolyn
It's so great. To be honest, like, I don't think anything on the lineup, like, really spoke to me like, so that, like.
Brooke Michio
Yeah, it's usually like, I saw Mount Joy there and Riley Green, a lot.
Danielle Carolyn
Of singer, songwriter type things, but they were like, hey, Millennium.
Brooke Michio
And they were like, wait, did Pier 17 reach out to you?
Danielle Carolyn
No, this was through sports illustration experiences. It wasn't Sports Illustrated. It's the Experience. What is that experience? They do, like, events, like, I guess they do activations.
Brooke Michio
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
You know, around certain things. The section was sick when you went. Did they have like a, like a loungy section in the front or were you able to like get it all the way up to the stage standing?
Brooke Michio
There was no loungey.
Danielle Carolyn
It might have been set up just for this then, because I think it was a Sports Illustrated experience. And it was like we had like, it was like the table section, which I felt very important.
Brooke Michio
Yeah, that's really cool.
Danielle Carolyn
But it was like I was like sitting down watching this concert, but like still in a meeting. Like, I was like, wow, like it's.
Brooke Michio
Next level now you're spoiled. Now you're gonna.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, I know. I was like, this is really nice. It was a lot more like aggressive than I remember.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
Like.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, I feel like I just was like, oh, yeah, Lenny. I'm like concert. And I was like, whoa. Oh my God. Like that was really.
Brooke Michio
Yeah, I think I can think of like remixes I've heard with Lennyman. I like it, but I guess it is more a little like rare.
Danielle Carolyn
I'll play you some videos. I. I really am realizing, like when I tell people that I like electronic music, like, that's probably what they think of. Yeah, they probably think of that and I have to clear the air that like, it's not that like I needed to be like. I like house music. I think that's what it is. I like like that steady beat. I like the like music like the millennium stuff. It's hard to dance to because it's really just like.
Brooke Michio
Is it just beat drops?
Danielle Carolyn
It kind of is beat drops, but it's like not really a consistent beat.
Brooke Michio
Yes. You don't know what tricks are.
Danielle Carolyn
Yes. So like house music at least you have like a little two step going.
Brooke Michio
Yeah, true.
Danielle Carolyn
Four by four or whatever. Because you know, I like to dance.
Brooke Michio
Yes. You're dancing.
Danielle Carolyn
I'm a dancer. I'm a dancer.
Brooke Michio
Did you bring Ben?
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, we went. It was fun. We went to dinner before at this place called Crown Shy. It was a good place inside.
Brooke Michio
I don't know, like Seaporter. No. Yeah, that's so fun.
Danielle Carolyn
We just had like a nice city weekend and then we've been just on our health grind. We've been cooking, we've been back on our hello fresh and doing our healthy things. I'm like. My thing is, I'm like, if I'm here, I'm gonna like try to be in my not routine. But I'm like, totally. And then you save a lot of money when you don't do a food order delivery all the time. I'm really realizing that.
Brooke Michio
I know, it's like so true. Have you gotten over like leftovers? Like, can you.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, as long as I like the meal.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
Like.
Brooke Michio
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Leftovers are not exciting if it's like I didn't like it the first.
Brooke Michio
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
You know, then I really don't like it the second time, right?
Brooke Michio
Yeah, it's true. It's like, if I'm not going crazy about it, you think I'm gonna like it microwaved.
Danielle Carolyn
What are you guys doing for me? Like, are you cooking?
Brooke Michio
Like, yeah, the last few weeks we've done like. Because again, Ryan will eat chicken and rice every day, but I don't want to do that. So I plan about three meals for the week for like five. You know, the weekends. No, no, that's Sunday nights, maybe. And then it just sucks because I just have to make so much. Like, I really love having leftovers for lunch because I hate making lunch. And it's just been such an issue because, like, he just eats it all. At the first time, you were tell.
Danielle Carolyn
The story about what he ordered at Chick Fil A. I don't know if we told that story. I was shocked.
Brooke Michio
That is so funny because it's just like, I'm so used. He's been doing that since I have met him.
Danielle Carolyn
No, I'm usually Ryan. He's a bit like. And I say big guy, not as it like weight. Like he is a muscular, like. Yeah, I don't know how to like. It makes sense. No, I know. I saw your reaction. I shocked. It was crazy.
Brooke Michio
Was it the two sandwiches?
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
We pull up to Chick Fil A and we're ordering. And like, so first he goes, I'm gonna get two chicken sandwiches and an order of fries.
Brooke Michio
Right?
Danielle Carolyn
That's what he got.
Brooke Michio
Well, what he usually does. I don't know if this. He gets a chicken sandwich meal and then an extra chicken sandwich.
Danielle Carolyn
That's what it was. So it was like the chicken sandwich meal and then another chicken sandwich. And then he was like, okay, Brooke, what do you want? And I was like, oh, that wasn't.
Brooke Michio
For you and Danielle?
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, like. And then he was like. And then he ordered yours. And I was just like, oh, whoa, you got two. And then I thought maybe once for later. Like, I didn't say anything. I didn't say anything at that point. But then we start eating in the car and you hand him his first sandwich and then you hand him the second sandwich. Maybe two, three minutes later. I was like, oh, he like, you just ate those back to back. Like, I forgot about that.
Brooke Michio
We had said that was when we went to Cape Cod. Yeah. We had so many drive through experiences.
Danielle Carolyn
And we didn't talk about it until like the next day. I was like, like, can we talk about the sandwich?
Brooke Michio
Oh, yeah. It's like, wow, that's like, so normal.
Danielle Carolyn
Isn't it funny?
Brooke Michio
What's so normal?
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, the crazy.
Brooke Michio
No, I remember when we first started dating, he was like, I'll get two sandwiches. Because I was like, wait, sorry. Two sandwiches and the fries.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, but it makes sense though, because he is like a. Yeah.
Brooke Michio
And I guess, like, if you think about it, like, I'll get like the 12 count nugget a lot of times. That's a lot of chicken.
Danielle Carolyn
No, and I'm not one to judge.
Brooke Michio
I'm not defending. I just. Because I've had the. These thoughts.
Danielle Carolyn
It was impressive. Just the speed at which it was consumed because I was like, oh, and he was driving. I was like, maybe an hour or two later, like, we have a long drive. Like, I could understand, like, getting hungry again.
Brooke Michio
Like, nope, just fueling up. That was so funny. Why, why do we start?
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, portion size.
Brooke Michio
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
You're talking about how you have to make big portions. So are you making like a lot of chicken? Like, is that how that goes?
Brooke Michio
Yeah. Well, he goes, and I haven't sent you a picture. Oh, my God. On Sunday nights he goes and grills like, actually 12 chicken breasts, I think. And he just has it for his lunch, for work, and then also just have it for like, extra dinner stuff. If I didn't make dinner, but like, tonight I'm gonna make a chili. I'm gonna have to double the recipe, for sure. At least if I want some leftovers.
Danielle Carolyn
Double it up, Give it to the next person.
Brooke Michio
Yeah, double it up. Give it to the next person. I'll choose. Yeah, I know. Oh, there's so much. Did you see the. Well, I don't know why I would ask.
Danielle Carolyn
Wait, so how are you making, like. I understand what you're saying now. You have to use like a, like commercial sized pot.
Brooke Michio
Yeah. Oh, my gosh.
Danielle Carolyn
To cook for more, like for the two of you.
Brooke Michio
Exactly. Like, and that's the thing. It's not like I can even cook all the meat at once. It's like, I gotta do two rounds. And that's not him asking, that's me. Because I want leftovers. So sometimes he'll be like, is there any extra? I'm like, do you. Are you really hungry? He'll be like, I'll just have one of my chicken breasts. Like, that's why he makes this chicken. Thank God. Because sometimes, like, I really wanted that little bowl for dinner. Like for lunch tomorrow.
Danielle Carolyn
Does it ever make you think, how do families of like, six do it?
Brooke Michio
Yeah, all the time.
Danielle Carolyn
I think literally all I do think about that all the time when I'm cooking for the two of us, and I'm like, there's no. I have no more pots and pans. Like, I'm out.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
I'm out.
Danielle Carolyn
I'm literally out. Like, also, because all of them are in use at once. Yes. When I'm doing hellofresh, I'm literally cooking mama. Like, I'm like, it's like, sizzling this. Cool this down. Add the salt everywhere. Help me with the sauce.
Brooke Michio
Final countdown. Literally.
Danielle Carolyn
Help me, sir, Stir. Because I was doing, like, I'm doing the rice and the protein, like, like, but then we got to make the tzatziki over there.
Brooke Michio
Like, did you know hellofresh really is fun, though, because you have it all. Like, at least you don't have to. I mean, I guess you chop it, but, like, I absolutely love it.
Danielle Carolyn
I have to be clear. The only issue that I have, but this is just because I'm like, I'm not a good chef. Is that it says 20 minutes. It takes me an hour.
Brooke Michio
No, yeah, it's definitely. It takes me about, like, I feel like 40 minutes. That was, like, an hour. I'm sure.
Danielle Carolyn
I was filming while I was doing.
Brooke Michio
Yeah, you're fair.
Danielle Carolyn
So I'm, like, getting the angles, like, talking and stuff. So, like, yes, yes.
Brooke Michio
Yeah. Yes. Let them, Let them.
Danielle Carolyn
But you know what I mean.
Brooke Michio
No, I know.
Danielle Carolyn
I'm like, 20 minute meal. Let's go. But it's.
Brooke Michio
Some people are.
Danielle Carolyn
Honestly, Ben could probably do it in 20 minutes. He's really fast at cutting. Like, if you're fast at chopping, I feel like then you're. I know.
Brooke Michio
Didn't we say we wanted to take chopping lessons?
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, that's another thing. Improv is more important to me at the time.
Brooke Michio
Oh, yeah, we really want to take him classes. The thing with improv, it's like, you have to. Of course, you guy. It's like every Wednesday night. The gals aren't here, everyone.
Danielle Carolyn
Maybe. Maybe we will be, though.
Brooke Michio
Should we get a private coach?
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, my God.
Brooke Michio
I think it's more fun, though, when.
Danielle Carolyn
You'Re in a class.
Brooke Michio
Other people and then you play all.
Danielle Carolyn
Those games, like, make some friends. I know.
Brooke Michio
Maybe we could pick up some friends along the way. Even though I'm kind of, like, not looking for any more friends, I've decided you.
Danielle Carolyn
You're at your max. I'm. I'm open. I've.
Brooke Michio
You're open to new friends?
Danielle Carolyn
I'm. For a while, I was like, no, I'm closed. And, like, you know, Something. People fall off.
Brooke Michio
Like, things change in your 20s.
Danielle Carolyn
I think now there's been some new openings. Not like that anything happened.
Brooke Michio
No drama. No drama.
Danielle Carolyn
I just feel like things shift. Like, I. Yeah. Also live far away from a lot of my friends.
Brooke Michio
So, like, some friends are moving, some.
Danielle Carolyn
Friends are, you know, like, things shift. And then it's like, okay, well, I've got two spots if anybody wants them.
Brooke Michio
I've got two local Brooklyn spots.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
Manhattan.
Danielle Carolyn
I know. Truly.
Brooke Michio
No, you. You should have, like, someone that, like, for a walk or, like, meet at Body Rock that I. I get that.
Danielle Carolyn
I have some people in the neighborhood that I know that I've gone on, like, one off walks with, but I'm like, can this be a regular thing? Like, how do you get to that point?
Brooke Michio
I know you should just, like, say, like, oh, my God, we should, like, do this.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's so awkward. Like, I'm like, I want to upgrade this friendship to a weekly basis.
Brooke Michio
Now you've been promoted. No, I do know what you mean. But sometimes I think, like, maybe they're also thinking of it. They don't want to be annoying.
Danielle Carolyn
No, I'm definitely annoying. Because there's. I'll tell you who after. There's this one girl who I know lives in my area, and I've been DMing her, and she'll reply like, every time I DM, because I'm like, I know you're my neighbor. Please hang out with me. I know you're my neighbor. Please hang out with me. Like, why not?
Brooke Michio
Why not? Like, we would be such good friends. No, I get like that. Yeah, I know we'd get along. Like, I'm like, no, let's hang out.
Danielle Carolyn
Let's hang out. That's the thing. And I'm like, I'm on your close friends. Like, I. It's like I have some indication that, like, your friends. But I think that some people, I do get that, like, I'm not the best with dms either.
Brooke Michio
And, like, no, you're not.
Danielle Carolyn
No, I'm not on. Honestly. But honestly, something like that, I wouldn't be the best with either. Because I'd be like, I'm not gonna answer till I'm ready to hang out with her. So, like, I do get it. Right. I'll defend these people.
Brooke Michio
Yeah, that's nice.
Danielle Carolyn
You know, maybe they're, like, busy this week. I'll get back to work next week, you know?
Brooke Michio
Yeah. Or maybe you need to go get over to the texting side because DMs get lost for me, especially planning stuff like, but wait till she replies. Actually, here's my. But sometimes here's my number. So scary because they gotta text you, then, like, you don't have their number. But I feel like I would do.
Danielle Carolyn
I actually tried this with someone else too, recently, who I know, like, kind of lives near me. I was like, hey, this is my address. And they were like, awesome.
Brooke Michio
I was like, this is where you.
Danielle Carolyn
I was like, no, where do you live? Like, tell me your address. Like, I don't know. Is that weird?
Brooke Michio
No, it's not. Like, I. I don't know why all of a sudden people are like, weird.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, this is someone that I know. Like, it's not someone that I don't know. Like, in that case, like, I'm not trying to, like, get your address, but.
Brooke Michio
Like, I'm trying to look it up on street easy. Like, just.
Danielle Carolyn
I mean, maybe I am. Like, I'm. I'm giving you my information first. Like, that's why I'm like, I'm leading with, like, vulnerability. Here's.
Brooke Michio
Here's my. Now you do me hers. Like, my mom will pick you up if your mom drops us off.
Danielle Carolyn
Exactly. Exactly.
Brooke Michio
Completely agree. I. I mean, I'm. I'm always in there. I love that. You tagged me in Jazz's Tick Tock the other day about being nosy. I was like, yeah, that's me too. Like, she posted a Tick Tock saying, like, she's just always gonna ask you, like, where are you going? Or, what are you doing? Like, yep, that's me too. Like, I'm so incredibly nosy. Like, I can't help it.
Danielle Carolyn
I. I also think that sometimes it, you know, if you're like, something big is coming, you're literally asking for it.
Brooke Michio
Like, I'm just gonna ask you.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, or like, yeah. Or like a, you know, a picture of your passport, and it's like, okay, well, like, you're. You're asking.
Brooke Michio
No. You know, I don't know why we all do this, especially with, like, brand trips and stuff. We're always, like, weird about, like, where, you know, it's like, oh, guys, like, I'm going somewhere this weekend. Any guesses? Like, why do we do that?
Danielle Carolyn
I think you do that. I. I don't.
Brooke Michio
I don't say any guesses. I used to.
Danielle Carolyn
Yes. Used to.
Brooke Michio
Oh, my God, I used to. But now I'm like, like, literally today I was like, so I. I'm going to ACL with Timo. I could wait to post, you know, When I'm there. But I was like. And they sent this cute little box. I was like, I'll say I'm going. Yeah. But I feel like some people are like, where am I headed? And I 100% used to do that.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
Or. Or I will say, like, you could definitely tell where I'm headed based off of my gear or, like, what I want.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, I'm bringing ski goggles. Where could I be going?
Brooke Michio
Yeah, no, I don't. I'll call myself out. I definitely do that sometimes. But I'm saying, like, why do we do that? Like, why do I do that?
Danielle Carolyn
Because it's your job to keep people engaged. And I guess it does definitely. Like, because then again, people are nosy, so they're like, where's she going? So they want to tune back in and check. I actually think that that's, like, being good at your job. But I think that as a consumer, it's also like, okay, just tell me. Like, I don't know.
Brooke Michio
Just, like, just tell me.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, literally, I just want to know.
Brooke Michio
No, I know. I don't know. I'm just. Food for thought. Lmao.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. Well, also, like, for something, like, not that acl, like, that's a very exciting trip.
Brooke Michio
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
But I think, like, it has to warrant the level of, like, excitement for it. You know what I mean? Like, if you're going upstate, like, I don't want to be like, guess where I'm headed.
Brooke Michio
Like, it's family union.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. Like, you're literally going for a one hour drive upstate. Like, I don't know, like, I want. It needs to be worth the hype at least.
Brooke Michio
I am excited, though. The gals are going upstate for Katie Must say Kitty's wedding weekend.
Danielle Carolyn
I thought you were going to say Katie's wake. That's the what I heard coming. I was like, what?
Brooke Michio
No, but we are doing. And I'm only saying this because I heard her say it on their podcast, Match Made, that she's doing, like, a murder mystery thing, which would be so fun. I'm waiting to find out what the theme is of the murder mystery game. And then we get to find out our characters.
Danielle Carolyn
Because I was told the theme.
Brooke Michio
You've been told the theme.
Danielle Carolyn
I was told the theme at your birthday party.
Brooke Michio
Oh, my God.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, I can. I don't know if I can't.
Brooke Michio
No. Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Big things coming.
Brooke Michio
Yeah. Can't.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
Then you feel like you don't want.
Danielle Carolyn
To disclose any guesses.
Brooke Michio
Katie's motorist. Oh, my God. This is going to. Wow. Well, hopefully I'll find out soon.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, you will. I mean, unless you change your mind.
Brooke Michio
No, no, I'm sure this was.
Danielle Carolyn
I didn't even ask. She was just yapping.
Brooke Michio
That's so nice. Yeah, it was so nice, the alcohol. She decided to tell.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. No, because it was like, oh, I'm so excited for her. You know, Know, like the.
Brooke Michio
Oh, my God. So there'll be a theme and so we'll get to dress up.
Danielle Carolyn
We will get assigned characters in.
Brooke Michio
Yeah, that's really exciting. I'm. I'm pumped. Because honestly, her. That weekend is Halloween weekend, so I don't think other than on Gals on the go. Don't you guys worry. We will be dressing up for our annual Halloween dress up episode that we started last year. But I don't think I have any costumes.
Danielle Carolyn
I feel fine about that. How do you feel about that?
Brooke Michio
I feel, like, okay about it, but. But not nothing to do with Katie, because, like, there could be still something. Like, I feel like people do, like, both. Yeah. Even though this year, I guess Halloween's on a Friday.
Danielle Carolyn
I'm sure, like Thursday night, something could be going on. Yeah, maybe.
Brooke Michio
Well, because right. For the first time ever, Ryan said, what are we being for Halloween this year? I was like, really? The one year we're not gonna be dressing up together. I don't know. I had to just think about it.
Danielle Carolyn
Because he wanted to her. Because he was planning.
Brooke Michio
Ryan planning. I don't know, he was kind of curious. He was like, what do you have in mind? You always have something in mind. I was like, oh, my God. I actually don't have anything in mind this year. So I'm excited to dress up for Katie's murder mystery thing. It'll be so fun.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
The cooler days are here and we're layering up. That's what I'm doing at least. I feel like I. I can't just wear a sweater. Like, I gotta wear the long sleeve underneath the sweater. I want it to, like, look cute. And especially living in New York City, I feel like you always gotta wear layers because, like, sometimes you gotta peel off a layer. Right. And my go to is quince for these daily quality essentials that are cozy, they look refined, and they won't blow your budget. I'm trying to not, like, break the bank this season of Life. Danielle Carolyn

Wherever you listen to podcasts. It's so funny though. I think a lot of people don't realize that Katie's like, not doing her Halloween party. Oh.
Danielle Carolyn
Because they're like, all waiting for it.
Brooke Michio
They're like, oh, my God, party as usual.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
A couple friends, like, mention it and they were like, because one friend is coming up from Georgia that weekend. And my friend was like, oh, well, we can maybe bring her to case. Like, it's not happening. Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
You're like, better find another plan, girl.
Brooke Michio
Katie's gonna be so flattered. That really is like a bank on.
Danielle Carolyn
Killer of like the New York City. Yeah.
Brooke Michio
But this is like, it's her 30th birthday. It makes so much sense. We're gonna like, it's gonna be such a special weekend. I'm so excited.
Danielle Carolyn
I love a birthday trip.
Brooke Michio
I know.
Danielle Carolyn
Decided.
Brooke Michio
It's so fun. Maybe you'll do one next year. The past few years for your Birthday. I'm like, you're giving me nothing small.
Danielle Carolyn
I know. Because I'm waiting for 30.
Brooke Michio
Okay.
Danielle Carolyn
I really am, like, kind of like, I don't like it, so I don't need to make it a big, big thing. Every, like, I feel like 25 had.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
A big thing, and.
Brooke Michio
Yes.
Danielle Carolyn
Okay. And now I'm kind of like, 30 will be my next big thing. No.
Brooke Michio
Yeah, no, yeah, totally.
Danielle Carolyn
Things coming. We also, like, like, one thing about the guys. Like, we. We're always celebrating something.
Brooke Michio
No, totally.
Danielle Carolyn
That's the thing. We live our life in perpetual celebration. So, like, I don't feel undervalued, like.
Brooke Michio
No, I know. I think just as your friend.
Danielle Carolyn
No, it's very nice.
Brooke Michio
Best friends. It stresses me out because, like, you were in Florida and I'm getting messages. What are you doing for Brooke's birthday? I'm like, I am literally not in the same state as her.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, oh, my gosh. I feel like I just am. Like, what about What? Like, what do I want to do?
Brooke Michio
No, and that's what you should. Like, you were like, I just want to go home or go to Florida and, like, chill.
Danielle Carolyn
Chill.
Brooke Michio
Like, that's all you wanted. But I don't know. I remember texting, like, how's your birthday? Yeah, it's good.
Danielle Carolyn
Literally just sitting by the floor. It was nice with my parents.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Having a good time.
Brooke Michio
Okay. So two years from. So not this coming April, but April. But then won't you be like, maybe.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, in your bridal era, 100 that cool. Is going to be. Send it a lot of, like, maybe.
Brooke Michio
Then it's like, birthday batch.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. Like, I feel like there's things that you do then at that hour of your life.
Brooke Michio
Yes. There's things.
Danielle Carolyn
Things.
Brooke Michio
There's totally things.
Danielle Carolyn
But we have so, like, we have our live shows. We have, like, events. Like, I just think we're always doing something, like, big. No, I don't.
Brooke Michio
So lucky.
Danielle Carolyn
So maybe, like, celebrating each other. We feel the lack. But, yeah, everybody else in my life, I feel like they're always at a party of mine. You know what I mean? No, totally.
Brooke Michio
We always have something going on where we're taking photos. Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
You were just at my party. Like, what one?
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
I have to think back.
Danielle Carolyn
I'm like, oh, after the live show. Yeah, we have.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
Gals, throw down.
Danielle Carolyn
Yes.
Brooke Michio
Whatever. Oh, we have to quickly mention thank you to everyone who came to our community event, our workout.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, my God, it was so fun. Thank you, guys. And a lot of fomo, I think. So next time we need to make sure that there's a bigger capacity and stuff.
Brooke Michio
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
People were like, we do two sessions or something.
Brooke Michio
Not on the same day. Like, no. And I were. So if you guys didn't see. We did a Soto Method workout at the Soto Method studio in Tribeca. Was so fun. Like, packed, packed house. Everyone was ready to work out. It was so fun. But obviously, naturally, Brooke and I were seated in the front because, you know, we wanted everyone to, you know, be engaged with us, whatever. Oh, my God, though, towards the end, I was struggle busing, and I was.
Danielle Carolyn
Struggling in the beginning, but it was a tough. You think it's like this cutesy little lightweight class. It kicks your ass.
Brooke Michio
No, we were all dying.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
So it was funny. It was, like, a good bonding thing, though.
Danielle Carolyn
No, it was great.
Brooke Michio
But then what did someone at the studio said? I've never heard so many woo woos coming out of the studio in my life. I was like, oh, my God, that was me.
Danielle Carolyn
Danielle started it, like, two minutes in.
Brooke Michio
And she was like.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
We were, like, holding a po.
Danielle Carolyn
Like a plank or something.
Brooke Michio
And you were like, woo, let's do this. Because I think about, like, soul Cycle and stuff, you'll like, everyone kind of woo. But I guess at Soda Method, they don't usually do that. But I was like, no, it fits.
Danielle Carolyn
The vibe of the class. Then I was like, oh, okay, I'll. I'll do this.
Brooke Michio
Yeah. Oh, yeah. You were wooing. Everyone started to, like, let it happen. Yeah. Because Brooke and I were like, you know, how do we. We want to, like, talk to everyone. Which I think we definitely talked to everyone before or after the class, took photos, some sweaty selfies. It was amazing. But it's like during the class, we're like, oh, my God. Like, how can we, like, talk? So we were like, how's everyone doing?
Danielle Carolyn
How's everybody doing out there?
Brooke Michio
Yeah. And the music was great. It was like, your music, Mine.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, it was wonderful. I mean, I think it's just cool that we can do events like that. That doesn't have to be a show. Yeah, people really show up and, like, just want to hang. Like, I think they literally were like, hi, girls.
Brooke Michio
And then, like, it was so chill.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, it was so chill. Everybody was just awesome. We had amazing goodie bags. I feel like, like, this is something that we can do.
Brooke Michio
This is something we can do for sure. Like, I could even see this being a thing where, like, we do go to other cities and do stuff like this.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, 100 Chicago. They would love it.
Brooke Michio
We'll Be back. I mean, it'd be so cool if we did like trying to think, like if you guys ever have any ideas of things, you know, or if you.
Danielle Carolyn
Have a business or something, like, please, like, if you're like, oh my God, come to my pottery shop in Atlanta. Like, we'll be there.
Brooke Michio
I'm so down. I wish there was like a huge dry bar. We could like get blowouts. Can you imagine, like wreck the power outage, like all the, the blow dryers going.
Danielle Carolyn
They didn't. We weren't invited to that, like master class. They did, but it was like they like you were taught to like, do your own blowout. Like kind of a cool concept.
Brooke Michio
That's really cool. No, I. I will forever be salty.
Danielle Carolyn
100%.
Brooke Michio
Should we talk about it really quick?
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Brooke Michio
Guys, there was literally. I'm sorry, I'm going to talk about it. There was a dry bar brand trip. Wait for it. At the one hotel in South Beach. Gals didn't catch that invite. And I, I don't think we call out brands law.
Danielle Carolyn
But that, that one hurt to Danielle Garland. 100% should have been on the list.
Brooke Michio
No, you too.
Danielle Carolyn
That we both should. Because we have been single handedly dry bar apologists out here forever.
Brooke Michio
And now all of a sudden people are like, oh, actually dry bar is good.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. No, even we've been here, we've been through the trenches. Like, even when they were like, you know, taking hit after hit, we were like, no, guys. So good. It's worth it. It's worth it. You go back, try again.
Brooke Michio
You just have to be specific. Like, no, seriously, like we. I remember at Georgia, like, we'd go to the one in Atlanta when we'd go to Texas, like on the weekends for the style Con. I remember we went to Driver. Like, we've been going and so.
Danielle Carolyn
No. And then everybody was. The only thing that I was able to like justify it in my head that I was invited is because it was like kind of like, do your own hair. And we.
Brooke Michio
No. Yeah. They didn't even get the blots.
Danielle Carolyn
And we don't really.
Brooke Michio
No, we, we don't. We go to the dry bar. We don't really use the.
Danielle Carolyn
We do actually.
Brooke Michio
I use their dry bar curling iron. I feel like you have some of their.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, I love the. That's actually the one like clamp that I can use.
Brooke Michio
Oh, yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
For some reason, because it like.
Brooke Michio
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
You know what I'm saying?
Brooke Michio
Yes, I do. I don't have that one. But I know what you're Talking about.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. Even though I don't know why they don't deserve the praise.
Brooke Michio
No, I. No, you're right. We get our hair done. We don't do our hair.
Danielle Carolyn
And they were trying to promote. It was like, hair girlies that, like.
Brooke Michio
No hair tutorials and no shade. Honestly, everyone that was on the trip, it made sense.
Danielle Carolyn
Sense, Totally. No, they were all like, beauty girls. Like that. Honestly, a bomb hair. Like, it made perfect sense.
Brooke Michio
But, like, yeah, add us. It was when. Then I saw. It was at the one hotel I was like, oh. And then actually, driveboard didn't DM us. Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh. Because I commented.
Brooke Michio
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
I forget what you saw. I, like, tagged you. I was like, literally, us in a trip.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
Yes.
Brooke Michio
Yes. And then they immediately DM'd us. But I don't know if anything ever came about that. But, you know, we still. We both still go to the dry bar.
Podcast Sponsor/Advertiser Voice
I know.
Brooke Michio
You just went in Texas.
Danielle Carolyn
I went. I went like, 30 minutes out of my way to go to that dry bar. I was like, no. You know, everybody's having people come to their room to do their hair. I'm gonna go out of my way to go to try it.
Brooke Michio
Because we love drive. It's just this, like, nostalgic dry bar cookies. If, you know. You know, never forget when I was about to pass out, so I ate the cookies. You know, there's just all these things. So we love you, dry bar. Just saying, next trip, we're there. Okay.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. For the stock experience. For the bar trip where they.
Brooke Michio
Dry bar spa. I love it. Well, they do your own.
Danielle Carolyn
I could use dry bar after this. I'm sweating so much. I'm not gonna lie. Like. Like, it's. Am I okay?
Brooke Michio
No. My. My pits are moist. My back is wet, so don't worry.
Danielle Carolyn
Once again, if you work for a deodorant brand, the last time this happened, someone sent me samples because they were like, please try our deodorant. Because that's.
Brooke Michio
They're like, let's get Brooke better. No more sweat stains for Brooke. Oh, gosh. Well, thank you guys so, so much for listening. This was a very fun chat. Per usual.
Danielle Carolyn
So much fun.
Brooke Michio
I get so excited to sit down here with you.
Danielle Carolyn
Me too. Wait, I just realized, also, is that brown or is that maroon as the color?
Brooke Michio
It's brown.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh. I was gonna say if it was maroon, then we were like, oh, my.
Brooke Michio
It does. Like, we could say it's maroon. So we tied in. I do think it's brown.
Danielle Carolyn
It does look. I like, but I like this top a lot. Thank you.
Brooke Michio
It's from Reformation, which I don't shop there a lot. I know you do, but I saw Katie Fawn was wearing this and I had to have it.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh my God.
Brooke Michio
Thank you. Thank you very much.
Danielle Carolyn
I saved my Reformation shops for when they do the 20 off.
Brooke Michio
They do smart and so expensive, but.
Danielle Carolyn
And then I just go crazy. Like, then I like get everything that I.
Brooke Michio
You do. You post the collage. You're like, this is everything.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. It's like, oh. Oh, you went insane. Yeah, but like I do that like once or twice a year and I'm like, that's it, you know, 100.
Brooke Michio
No, it's nice. It's a fun reward.

Both hosts are candid, honest, and unfiltered—reassuring listeners that it's okay to be “that girl” who plans ahead and obsesses over timelines or wedding gifts. The tone is encouraging, funny, and always relatable.
