And then afterwards he was like, I have a surprise. And like, we. He, like, just walked me there and we were walking through Soho and we ended up at Tiffany and we. He made an appointment for us to try on rings. I had mentioned that, like, a friend had done this and honestly, it is the full try on experience, I cannot

They announced it in December that they usually do for the year prior. Pantone color of the year is Cloud dancer white. Genius. Yes.

We've also been going to weddings every weekend. We have stuff legit everywhere. No, I don't think it's us to, like, have, like, clothes in the back of our car. You know, the car's also a mess. And it's just really frustrating when you're making the bed and you're doing the sheets and they're just slipping off the corners. offer or going, because I did think that was weird. And I didn't told Bianca. I was like, I'm a little concerned because she didn't bring up the event to me right after the podcast recording, which normally you'll be like, oh, like, are you going to this? But I guess it's because I had something else.

I knew that you had something else. So I was like, it's either she didn't get the deal or she got something else.

Yeah, that's good. I was so scared. I was like, she's suspicious, so she doesn't want to see my face if she were to bring it up. But then you brought up all the Ben, like, ring stuff. And I was like, oh, she definitely.

I was not. I really was not. Like, you have no idea. The greatest surprise of all time.

And I was like, okay, I guess it's just gonna be, like, a random group of people here. Like, I have no idea who it is. Group chats made. So it's Zach, my manager, Lila, coordinator me, and then a number I didn't have, and that was like, the brand contact. The person who was emailing me. Because it was supposed to be quick approvals for the content. I got to text it. I had asked earlier in the day, what venue is it inside the one hotel. Because there's. If you know the one hotel, there's about the one in Brooklyn. There's like, five venues. There's the area. It's rooftop, but there's like, a restaurant downstairs.

They have a convention area too, right? Like conference rooms, whatever.

So there's a million places it could Be. So I was, like, thinking ahead. I was like, what? What is the venue not trying to cat? Like, I just was like, I don't want to show up and be, like, lurking around this hotel. And they were like, we'll get back to you. And they never got back to me. They just put me in this group text with the brand person. And she was like, hey, just let us know, like, when you arrive. Whatever. So then I get to the hotel. I asked the valet. I was like, hey, I'm here for the Pantone event. And he was like, yep, go right inside. I go to the front desk. I was like, pantone event. They're like, yep, roof. I think they just heard event. And they were like, oh, event.

I was gonna say, were they in on it or.

No, they apparently were, but I. Ben said that there was some confusion because I think the event thing threw them

off because there were other events.

Yes. So then I go to the roof. There are two events going on, neither of them Pantone. So then I go back down, like, waiting by the front desk. I'm, like, texting this person, like, hi.

Like, not the front desk. And I did notice they kept, like, typing and not typing, but I just was like, oh, my God, it must be so chaotic at this event. Like, yeah, they're busy.

Yeah. And then we get to the room, and it's, like, propped open. The door was like, a jar.

He literally comes and he goes, hi, Brooke. And I was like, oh, my God.

I mean, this was planned, but it was like, let's go down to Brooklyn Bridge park, which is right below the one hotel which Ben and I go to all the time. Like, it's very like, us.

Yes. But it wasn't like he caught me, like, on a run or on a walk. Like, you know, I was dressed up. It was great. It was great. And she was like, let's go take some pictures. So we essentially had our engagement shoot. I don't think we're going to do one. Like, I feel like that was.

And they were so raw. Really raw. I wasn't wearing any eye makeup. I would have worn eye makeup. Makeup, certainly if I knew.

And I was like, no, you really didn't know because you would have been full beat like you are right now. And you looked great. But, like, no, no. Have had a lot more makeup on just in case.

You know, it's funny, I guess it's. At the point when you were talking to your mom on the phone, I was texting you. You, like, weren't replying. And I knew you were going to be going to the hotel soon. And so I said to myself, oh, she's probably film, guys. I think I'm about to get engaged video. Like, I thought you were filming. No, I didn't know.

Ben said he, like, mentioned to the team, like, maybe ever get film and get ready with me, but they were like, I didn't want it to, like, it would be, like, too obvious. They wanted me to, like, naturally do what I was gonna do anyways. Yeah, I didn't, but I. I have all the reactions of afterwards. So, like, I don't really feel that I needed that.

free, but I had no stuff because I thought it was an event. And he was like, we're gonna go home, pack an overnight bag. And we actually after that we have a 9pm reservation at Gage and Tolmer, which is one of our favorite restaurants. It's a steakhouse. It's. It's great. It's in Brooklyn if you haven't been. And I was freaking out. I was like, wow, what a fun day. You know, we got a nice dinner, went home and I had. He was very adamant that I picked out my graduation outfit early cuz graduation was the next morning. Yeah, makes sense now. Cuz we were like rushing like we only had like 30 minutes in between.

Oh, you mean like a day or two before he. I see.

[Brooke]

And normally I wait on like the shoes and the accessories. But he was like, no, please make sure you have the full outfit like all put together.

And it makes sense now cuz he like you to pull, put everything together in a bag and then he goes to the bathroom and he was in there for like 15 minutes. And I was like, is everything okay in there? And he was like, no, it's okay. And then he goes, oh, wait, she wants to go early. And I said, no, you cannot. He goes, I will try install as much as I can.
