We have to talk about something.
Margot Ashray
You curse on this podcast.
Danielle Carolyn
They're not used to influencers having a job. You don't know this love for nothing. But I kind of feel like I liked her more before you. You know what? I've noticed. I do. Recently.
Margot Ashray
I'm so scared.
Danielle Carolyn
No. What are you saying?
Margot Ashray
Oh, my God.
Danielle Carolyn
I don't think Brooke knows that either.
Margot Ashray
It's so crazy.
Danielle Carolyn
Hello, you guys. What's up? Welcome back to Gals on the Go podcast. I'm Danielle.
Margot Ashray
And I'm Margo. And I'm so happy to be here. Sorry, Brooks. Sorry, Brooke.
Danielle Carolyn
Sorry, Brooke. Brooke has been replaced. It is crazy. I just have another brunette here in the studio.
Margot Ashray
Like, you can't even tell the difference. Brooke is basically here.
Danielle Carolyn
Brooke is basically here. Guys, Margo Usher is in the studio with us today. You've been on the podcast at least one other time.
Margot Ashray
Yes. I remember we recorded in Brooke's apartment when she lived in the city and. Yeah, that was so fun. That was. Feels like so long ago. It wasn't Mags there.
Danielle Carolyn
Probably.
Margot Ashray
Probably.
Danielle Carolyn
Definitely. Because she was on. On the couch. Yeah.
Margot Ashray
Yeah. She's only not here because I came from work, otherwise, you know, that would be here.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, my God, she's the cutest. It's funny calling, like, a female dog a.
Margot Ashray
Like, you literally, like, cross my mind.
Danielle Carolyn
Because I'm four years old. I'm like, no, later.
Margot Ashray
You're four years old.
Danielle Carolyn
I know. I was like, that cutie little girl.
Margot Ashray
She's a cute little girl.
Danielle Carolyn
What's. What's her brand? Her brand?
Margot Ashray
Her brand. Her brand is she's a Cavalier. King Charles spaniel. Yeah. We love her. We love her. In this house, your whole family.
Danielle Carolyn
Does anyone not have a Cavalier?
Margot Ashray
Oh, Olivia doesn't have a Cavalier. But, you know, like, my family hates Magnolia. That's a joke.
Danielle Carolyn
No, of course. I'm very aware. Yeah.
Margot Ashray
It's, like, so upsetting.
Danielle Carolyn
Wait, I didn't know Olivia didn't have.
Margot Ashray
She doesn't have a dog.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, she doesn't have a dog at all.
Margot Ashray
She doesn't have a dog.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, I guess I. Yeah, I guess I knew that because I never hear that name.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, no, just Romeo, Bruno, Magnolia.
Danielle Carolyn
So cute. Well, I'm really grateful that you're here. She's fresh from work. It's so funny, you guys, if you're watching on YouTube, I am wearing, like, a very Margot outfit. Cause I was like, she would totally wear this, like, this little fashion pass. Nothing.
Margot Ashray
No, that's literally what I would wear to work. And then I was like, I'm gonna dress, like, cool, like Danielle. And we didn't even talk about it. And we literally dress like each other.
Danielle Carolyn
No, I'm obsessed. I was also half asleep when I saw your story this morning. Because every day I used to get excited. Margo used to post, like, the weather every morning.
Margot Ashray
Oh, yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
I miss that. She would, like, walk.
Margot Ashray
Oh, yeah. I was, like a news correspondent.
Danielle Carolyn
And then that just stopped. Stopped. I wasn't getting the weather. So now I get your outfits everywhere.
Margot Ashray
Yeah. I mean, it just, like, it was a moment in time. Like, I just, like, I don't even check the weather anymore. Like, I just. I didn't really. And it's so funny because, like, at the time, I didn't think anyone gave a. Everyone was probably like, why is this girl, like, acting like a meteorologist? Do you curse on this podcast?
Danielle Carolyn
Yes.
Margot Ashray
Okay.
Danielle Carolyn
We said already.
Margot Ashray
Oh, so true. That's, like, not a curse.
Danielle Carolyn
I say.
Margot Ashray
I say. And so I didn't think really anyone cared. Everyone's probably like, why is she, like, talking about the weather? Like, it's so, like, not like, my brand. And then I stopped, and everyone was like, oh, my God, Margot. Like, I used to, like, go to your stories for the weather. And then I was like, oh, that's so interesting. I'm not gonna do it again. But good to know.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, good to know.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
You wear your little Care Bears puffer jacket. I know.
Margot Ashray
You know, I didn't bring that out once this winter.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, so you still have it?
Margot Ashray
Wait, you just. Duh.
Danielle Carolyn
No, I'm just.
Margot Ashray
That's like. That's like an. An heirloom at this point.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, frame.
Margot Ashray
I should frame it.
Danielle Carolyn
You'll have, like, an archives room in your house one day.
Margot Ashray
I feel it 100%. Like, because I am a hoarder.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. Well, no, you're not a hoarder, but you do have these really cool pieces, which. We have to talk about something. Wait.
Margot Ashray
I'm so scared.
Danielle Carolyn
You are?
Margot Ashray
No TikTok comments.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Margot Ashray
Is that what you're going to say?
Danielle Carolyn
You are so polarizing with your outfits recently.
Margot Ashray
So crazy. And I don't know why. Like, it's really, like, it's really confusing because it's just my work outfits. Like, no one really Complains about, like, my, like, going out outfits, anything like that. It's just my work outfits. And it's like they want me to put my whole fudgeing chest into my outfit every day. And I'm like, I kind of do in the sense of, like, I do get, like, I do get dressed up every day. Like, I'm not wearing like, leggings and a sweatshirt, but. But it's like, oh, if I don't do my hair. Oh, my God.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, is that okay?
Margot Ashray
Oh, no. It's so many things. It's like, do my hair. It's like, it's so oily like that. Oh. Like, the. Honestly, the comments are like, it's a really. It's a really special place of the Internet. It's like, I imagine it's. I imagine it's probably what goes down on Reddit. I just wouldn't know because I never go there. But like, I think my comments are like, what they would be saying about my outfit on Reddit. They've just gotten really bold to, like, put it out there. Yeah. And I'm like, you know what? It's fine. My engagement is amazing. And some of the comments, like, are really funny. Like, I have to give credit where it's due. I just don't understand, like, why the outfit. Why the outfit is, like, so triggering to them. Because it's literally just like a button down and like flare pants or like trousers.
Danielle Carolyn
I feel like it's almost become this thing now. Like, they wait for your work outfit
Margot Ashray
now so that they can hit on it. And you know what? I'm fine with it. Like, I literally don't care.
Danielle Carolyn
No, it's more engagement and it's kind of funny.
Margot Ashray
And it's just like this funny bit.
Danielle Carolyn
100. And I'll never get so offended about people hating my outfits because I. I like them.
Margot Ashray
Right, Right. And also it's like I wore this, like, teal, like, silk button dy. I love it.
Danielle Carolyn
The household.
Margot Ashray
Thank you. Yes.
Danielle Carolyn
So beautiful.
Margot Ashray
And everyone was like, you look like a bank teller. Like, you look like a magician or like, whatever. And someone commented, they were like, this would eat with like, capris and kitten heels. And I commented back. I was like, yeah, if I was going to brunch with the girls, like, I'm going to the office. Like, that's where I'm just like, you guys are just like, missing the plot here. Like, I'm just trying to, like, look like professional.
Danielle Carolyn
They're not used to influencers.
Margot Ashray
It's so true. It's so True. And, like, I'm just like, the guinea pig. Like, it's fine.
Danielle Carolyn
No, it is. It's been really entertaining. You do, though. The reason I thought of that. You do have these, like, really interesting designer pieces. Like those Prada shoes you posted the other day. Are they Prada? The white ones with, like, a metal.
Margot Ashray
The Balenciaga. Those are so. Oh, well, I know. I hate that they're Balenciaga, but I got it before, like, all the problems, you know?
Danielle Carolyn
Of course.
Margot Ashray
But those are really boring, polarizing. Not because they're Balenciaga, because people just think they're heinous.
Danielle Carolyn
Did you wear them recently? Like, I have.
Margot Ashray
I wore them recently with that. With the. With the. With the blue jeans and then the. The light blue sweater and the white shirt underneath.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, and they didn't like that?
Margot Ashray
Oh, my God. That. No, right. I thought so, too. No, they literally. That one, like, really went off. Like, people were just like. It was so crazy. Yeah. I do have a lot of very interesting designer pieces. And, like, sue me for, like, trying to be different and not buying the same things that everyone else buys.
Danielle Carolyn
I think it's the coolest thing ever. I always love seeing the pieces that you pick out because they're so. They're like, literally, like, art pieces.
Margot Ashray
Thank you. That is so nice.
Danielle Carolyn
Trying to sound intellectual.
Margot Ashray
Intellectual. I try. Spend a lot of time on the real real.
Danielle Carolyn
So you can wear jeans to the office? Yeah.
Margot Ashray
Yes, I can wear jeans to the office.
Danielle Carolyn
Is there. Are there any rules?
Margot Ashray
No, Literally. I don't even think there's actually any rules, like, in the handbook, but I feel like the vibe is, like, just, like, don't look like a slob.
Danielle Carolyn
Do people wear, like, activewear? Like, buttoned up activewear?
Margot Ashray
I have seen people wear activewear, but,
Danielle Carolyn
like, you're not dress coding anybody.
Margot Ashray
I'm not dress coding, no. There's been, like, a few times, like, when I've been like, what are you wearing? But I would never obviously say anything because I think it's, like, a choice. And, like, some people, like, are more comfortable and maybe are more productive when they're in a sweatshirt.
Danielle Carolyn
No. 100%. This made me think. Do you want to know a fun fact about me?
Margot Ashray
Oh, my God. I would love to know a fun fact about me.
Danielle Carolyn
I think I've ever talked about this. It's nothing crazy. I'm setting this up. So my senior year of high school, I was a prefect, which means I dress coded people.
Margot Ashray
I feel like you must have loved that.
Danielle Carolyn
You know what? I never dress coded Anything.
Margot Ashray
Because you're serious.
Danielle Carolyn
It was good for the college resume, though. And, like, I loved the badge. And I was so scared, though, because I was like, but her skirt's so cute. Like, it's so short.
Margot Ashray
I'm sick.
Danielle Carolyn
So I actually. Yes, you would think. But I never.
Margot Ashray
I would have loved that job.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, I know.
Margot Ashray
I would have loved that job. I would have been like, oh, my God, do you see what she's wearing today? Dress code.
Danielle Carolyn
No, I know, it's crazy. And then I went back to my high school in the last, like, five years for something, and the dress goes out the window.
Margot Ashray
I was gonna say, I can't even imagine what they're wearing.
Danielle Carolyn
They just get. But I'm like, this is nowhere. Cuz I actually had to wear.
Margot Ashray
Collins. What was. Okay, what was your dress? I had a crazy dress, honestly.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, kind of what you wear to work every day. So it's fun. Like, I got to really dress cute. Except no jeans, but it was, like, very preppy. It was collared shirts. You know, we wore a lot of Bermuda shorts.
Margot Ashray
Oh, interesting.
Danielle Carolyn
You had a uniform.
Margot Ashray
I. It wasn't like a uniform, but I went to Jewish day school, and so we had to wear. And it was like modern Orthodox, so we had to wear skirts to our knees. Like, no one ever did. But, like, I did get skirted. I would get skirted a lot. Like, skirted. That's what it was called if you got skirted. Like, you had to go to the office and they had skirts down to your ankles that you had to wear. So, like, if you wore. If you were wearing one, it's like, oh, she got skirted.
Danielle Carolyn
I'm obsessed with that.
Margot Ashray
Lord, no. Oh, my God. So we had to wear skirts, and then, like, obviously shirts didn't matter. I don't think there was anything specifically collared. No, but like, in middle schools, like, you couldn't wear. I think it was like, stripes or words. Like, it had to be solids, right? I think it had to be solids. But yeah, this was like, you. I think you could wear, like, anything. We just had to wear a skirt as far as I recall.
Danielle Carolyn
Could you wear a V neck?
Margot Ashray
You could wear a V neck, but if you couldn't be shown titty.
Danielle Carolyn
Well, that's what.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, I guess, like, it'd be like.
Danielle Carolyn
Like here with the, like, Victoria's Secret push up.
Margot Ashray
No, no, no, no. There was no cleavage happening.
Danielle Carolyn
What about tanks?
Margot Ashray
Now you can share your arms.
Danielle Carolyn
So, okay, so like, any shirt and then a skirt?
Margot Ashray
Yeah, basically. Well, not anything, honestly, but I Look so cute because I would, like, you. You would wear, like, your skirt. Like, I. I'd wear my skirt, like, mid thigh.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Margot Ashray
And, like, I could probably get away with it. Like, a cute collared shirt and, like. Like, boots or flats. Like, I would. By the way. It's, like, literally what I would wear now to work.
Danielle Carolyn
Literally.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
So it kind of works out.
Margot Ashray
It works out. It all comes.
Danielle Carolyn
So we do something on the podcast called Panic of the Week, and I want to know. I mean, I have the honor of being on your close friend story, so I. Oh, yeah. Seeing things you're panicked about.
Margot Ashray
Oh, yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
But do you have anything you could share with people that you've been panicking about recently?
Margot Ashray
What can I publicly panic about? Oh, yeah. I'm. Two things. Sorry. I forgot that we literally went over this.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, don't worry. I prepped.
Margot Ashray
Yeah. No, no. One that it's Passover. I'm gonna Passover panic because I'm starving.
Danielle Carolyn
No, literally, she walked in, she's like, I need an almond.
Margot Ashray
Here. They're right here.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. Emergency almond.
Margot Ashray
Emergency almond. I'm starving. I just, like, really, like, need bread or rice or just something other than, like, so soon. It's so, like, not really. It's Monday. It's Monday, and it ends Friday night. So that is putting me in a panic, because I'm just ravenous, and then Curcelli is putting me in a panic.
Danielle Carolyn
Is that what you've been calling to ease the stress?
Margot Ashray
Yeah. So I have a corporate job, as we know, and so I'm doing a lot for my corporate job at Curcelli. Like, it's so crazy. It's so crazy. Like, this is where, like, it gets a little murky.
Danielle Carolyn
So I'm just, like.
Margot Ashray
It's, like, a little weird. Well, I mean, I obviously was like, I didn't. I turned down anything I could from a personal perspective for Coachella, because I was like, there's quite literally no way I can do all of it. Like, no shot. But, yeah, it's, like, so weird because it's, like, also, it's like, I would, like, be with so many of my influencer friends. Like, Like, I'm the brand.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, here are your deliverables.
Margot Ashray
No, literally. No, no, literally.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, guys submit.
Margot Ashray
Like, people are, like, sending it to me to, like, approve. Like, and I'm just like, this is, like, kind of, like, where it gets,
Danielle Carolyn
like, a little awkward, weird.
Margot Ashray
Like, we have contracts, and, like, you do a good job of it, like, though, I think. So I try and make it as, like, Normal as possible. Because I also, like, don't want not. I want it to also be like. It's like these people are actually my friends.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Margot Ashray
And now, like, you know, when people are like, try to befriend the brand person. That's not what this is.
Danielle Carolyn
No.
Margot Ashray
So, like, that's like, kind of where it's like the fine line between the two. Yeah. But that's really stressing me out because, like, we have so much going on, like, my company, and, like, it's all kind of like I'm leading it so well.
Danielle Carolyn
The good thing is I've gone a stage coach with you many years in a row, and you kind of put plan those weekends.
Margot Ashray
No.
Danielle Carolyn
So you can kind of take it to the next level with a better budget.
Margot Ashray
It's much better budget. But it's also. It's like. The thing is, it's like, I've never been to Coachella. Stagecoach I could do in a heartbeat. I know my way around the grounds. Like, I know everything. Whereas, like, Coachella, from what I've heard, different stages. Like, the whole thing is different. Yeah. So, like, I don't. Like, this is my house, but I don't know my way around, you know?
Danielle Carolyn
True.
Margot Ashray
So that's kind of like my panic. I really can't wait for April 14th.
Danielle Carolyn
It'll be done.
Margot Ashray
It'll be done.
Danielle Carolyn
Boom. Done. You'll be submitting everything?
Margot Ashray
No, I'll be like, no time to recap. But, like, whatever, it's done. My work here is done.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. So do you have outfits for Coachella?
Margot Ashray
Like, no, because, like, it's just like, that's just, like, not my priority, you know, like, my vibe is, like, off duty vibes, you know, like, just like a T shirt, like, short shorts, my Addison short, like, and, like, cowboy boots. Even though apparently cowboy boots aren't the vibe for Coachella. Like, I don't know. I don't know.
Danielle Carolyn
I mean, I see a lot of people posting, like, what they're gonna wear, and there's a lot of cowboy boots involved. But I'm also like, Stagecoach, which, as this episode's going up, you guys, tomorrow is Stagecoach.
Margot Ashray
Oh, my God, that is so crazy because, like, I don't have anything booked right now.
Danielle Carolyn
No, I know. That's so unlikely.
Margot Ashray
I know, because it's not my fault, you know, I would book tomorrow. There's a lot of people and things that I need to come, like, get into place in order to do that. And so I'm just kind of hoping and manifesting that it all kind of comes to fruition. But, like, it will because, like, everything always works out.
Danielle Carolyn
No, a hundred percent. I. It's so crazy. So we were talking about Stagecoach months ago, and I'll be so frilly.
Margot Ashray
Yeah. I was begging her to come and now she's like, oh, I'm going like, with a brand and like, you can go yourself. That's what happened.
Danielle Carolyn
I know. It definitely. I found out, like, months ago that I was gonna go to Coachella and I was like, there's no way I could go to Coachella.
Margot Ashray
I know I'm afraid to do both
Danielle Carolyn
of them, but we're both doing it.
Margot Ashray
I know we're both doing it.
Danielle Carolyn
Support systems.
Margot Ashray
No, a thousand percent. But like, you're. At least you're like, gonna like, have fun and stuff.
Danielle Carolyn
I am really excited. No, we. We will have fun. But yeah. So I just found out that I'm getting to go to Stagecoach now. So I texted Margo. I was like, if you want to ride together from lax.
Margot Ashray
And I was like, like, I'm like, so happy for you. Like, I have nothing planned, but I do actually have the driver booked.
Danielle Carolyn
But no, I know that's why you
Margot Ashray
asked, cuz you wrote a book. Yeah, no, I know. So yeah. This would be so awkward if, like, this comes out and like, I'm at home and you're in Palm Springs.
Danielle Carolyn
Margot, there is nothing that separates you from. From Stagecoach.
Margot Ashray
It's so true.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, there is.
Margot Ashray
That's so true.
Danielle Carolyn
Also, like, some of the people you told me that are going, like, you could go with them. Like.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, no, kind of. I don't know is. Who?
Danielle Carolyn
Shannon.
Margot Ashray
Oh, Shannon. Yeah. But she's only going one day, right?
Danielle Carolyn
So you. You at least have a day. Yeah. Yeah. And once.
Margot Ashray
I need a place to stay, bro.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, right.
Margot Ashray
That's my issue. I have my ticket.
Danielle Carolyn
The thing is, like, once I'm like, you could just like, hang with me, you know?
Margot Ashray
Totally.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, but would you get like a hotel room to yourself? Like, no.
Margot Ashray
Like, no.
Danielle Carolyn
Maybe.
Margot Ashray
Like, that's a. That's like a little.
Danielle Carolyn
We gotta get Emily to stage coach.
Margot Ashray
No, Emily, we're getting stage. I'm working on getting her ticket.
Danielle Carolyn
Okay.
Margot Ashray
And so then, like, we'll figure it out by the.
Danielle Carolyn
This.
Margot Ashray
We'll. By the time this comes out, we'll probably cut this out because it will no longer be relevant.
Danielle Carolyn
Cut it out enough. But yeah, those. That's the thing. I've seen a lot of people post about, like Coachella, Stagecoach trends, and a lot of it's really intermingling it's like fringe.
Margot Ashray
It's like, the same thing.
Danielle Carolyn
So I'm.
Margot Ashray
But I also feel like most people are doing Coachella. Like, I feel like there's was this, like, shift of, like, everyone was going to Stagecoach, and then now Coachella's back because they have such an insane lineup. And, like, the Stagecoach lineup is very, like, country. Like, it's. Which I think they did on purpose. I think they're trying to weed out, like, no offense, like, the people who, like, don't know country music and are just like, oh, stage coach, like, whatever. So I think they purposely made it, like, pretty main. Not mainstream, like, country.
Danielle Carolyn
No, they did. So I'm going to read off a couple. I'm going to read off the lineup because it's tomorrow and it's.
Margot Ashray
Oh, my God. Okay. Yeah, I'm excited.
Danielle Carolyn
Award show season, country music. Like, there's just so much. So much, you know? So headlining Friday night, we have Cody Johnson.
Margot Ashray
I am, like, he's. He's who I'm most excited to see the whole time. Kojo. I fudgeing love Kojo. He's so good. He's such a good performer. His music is so fucking good, and his lyrics are insane. I love him.
Danielle Carolyn
His lyrics are really good.
Margot Ashray
His lyrics are, like, so deep. Like, the painter is insane.
Danielle Carolyn
That song is so good.
Margot Ashray
Till you can. If you got a chance, take it.
Danielle Carolyn
No, it's so, like, it makes you want to cry.
Margot Ashray
No, same. All of his music makes me want to cry.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, that one's. That one played the other day and I shed a tear. Yeah, it's really good.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
I think we might have seen him together at Stagecoach one year, but he wasn't headlining.
Margot Ashray
Did we?
Danielle Carolyn
I think he's like, the second line.
Margot Ashray
Or you might be right. I wonder. I feel, like, so bad. I saw him, I think, at CMA Fest, like, a couple years ago, but by the way, if he did performance, stage coach in the past, like, five or six years there.
Danielle Carolyn
Are you a Bailey Zimmerman girl? Like, I can't, like, tell you one of his song names, but I think we know.
Margot Ashray
No, I. And I. He's. I've actually weirdly seen him, like, a bunch of times. And, like, he is, like, a very good entertainer, but if I'm like, oh, Bailey Zimmerman dropped a new album. I'm not, like, running to listen to it. That's kind of my barometer.
Danielle Carolyn
Instagram story.
Margot Ashray
No, like, everyone. Yeah. And, like, honestly, like, you know, I love Brandon Lake and I love Brandon Lake and Bailey Zimmerman and Brandon, like, released a Song, like, a couple of weeks ago. It's like, the one Brandon like song I, like, don't like.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, damn.
Margot Ashray
And I, like, automatically added it to my place. I was like, of course I'm going to like it.
Danielle Carolyn
Nay, the craziest thing is that Ella Langley is on the third line.
Margot Ashray
Okay. But here's the thing. When Stagecoach lineup came out and I saw that, it kind of made sense. Now I'm like, homegirl should be headlining. She is. I'm legitimately obsessed with her. I know you are, too, Ella fella.
Danielle Carolyn
And, like, just not for nothing, but I kind of feel like I liked her more before you.
Margot Ashray
You did? For sure.
Danielle Carolyn
I saw the Claudia. I was like, wait.
Margot Ashray
It took me a minute to get there. I never, like, hated. No, but I was just, like, I wasn't dying for her. And, like, when. And it's so funny. I feel like I was talking about this, like, a month ago or something. I was like, oh, when she releases her new album, like, I'm not, like, I'll listen to, like, the singles, but, like, I'm not, like, you know, the way I did Megan Moroney, where I was like, I need to listen top to bottom. And it was my whole personality.
Danielle Carolyn
I.
Margot Ashray
My perspective has completely shifted. Like, now I'm like, I can't wait. Like, Loving Life Again is one of the best songs I've ever heard, like, of all time.
Danielle Carolyn
It's so, like, she's just crushing it.
Margot Ashray
She's just crushing it.
Danielle Carolyn
Hits the soul, but it's not, like, sad. It's just. It's that perfect country music.
Margot Ashray
And I love songs like that that just, like, make me happy to be alive.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Margot Ashray
And I feel like that's what, like, country music is, like, so much of the music is just, like, makes you, like, just happy and appreciate, like, whatever. And I'm like, this is the perfect country song.
Danielle Carolyn
That's so true. Like, windows down, Windows down, Life is a highway. No, I know. It's pretty crazy. Do you think. Because I saw Riley Green's the next night. Oh, maybe on purpose? Like, they're not on the same nights. Like, will they, though? I'm sure they'll do their song together.
Margot Ashray
Definitely not. No shot. No shot.
Danielle Carolyn
You don't think?
Margot Ashray
No.
Danielle Carolyn
Damn. You hate to see it.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
I just love their song.
Margot Ashray
I know.
Danielle Carolyn
I feel like they have two songs.
Margot Ashray
Don't mind if I do. And you look like you love me.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
I'm just reading random ones. And then the next night, Lainey Wilson, which, you know what? I listen to a Lot of her music.
Margot Ashray
Do you. I think she'll be a really good performer.
Danielle Carolyn
It's gonna be how? Like, when Carrie under or no.
Margot Ashray
Carrie Underwood was insane.
Danielle Carolyn
No, Insane. But I feel like she has that same energy.
Margot Ashray
I, like, wouldn't equate the two. However, I do feel confident that she'll bring out good people.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. Like, who would she bring out?
Margot Ashray
I don't know. I feel like she could bring out anyone.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, I can't think of any song she's done with people. But you're right.
Margot Ashray
She had one with Miranda Lambert. I would love if she brought up Miranda.
Danielle Carolyn
She could bring out literally anyone, because she has done every country award show she's hosted so much. She's, like, friends with everyone.
Margot Ashray
She's friends with everyone. For sure.
Danielle Carolyn
Friend of the industry.
Margot Ashray
She's. She's someone, say, in industry.
Danielle Carolyn
I know we always think she.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, no, but honestly, like, I'm being a. Like, she actually is great, and she's a really good performer.

Have you ever tried one of those, like, healthy. I said that in quotes. Ice cream pints. I feel like in college and, like, my first year post grad, I was, like, really trying to convince myself that these were good guys. And the texture is off. They taste gritty and grainy, and, like, they're just not that good, you know? You're craving ice cream. It doesn't hit. Okay, it's time to ditch the freezer frauds, because Yaso is the real deal. Yaso took everything that you love about ice cream, and they upgraded it with their creamy frozen Greek yogurt. So you get the best of both worlds. The delicious ice cream taste and the better for your nutrition. I have to say two things. Number one, I'm not a Greek yogurt girly. Like, normally, like, that taste profile is not for me. This doesn't. Like, it's not giving Greek yogurt, at least in the Yaso bars that I have. And. And secondly, I have to say, I have a Yaso bar every single night when I'm home. Like, this is without fail. This is part of my routine. I either have the brownie batter or the cookie dough. And that's because when I am trying to, like, be better, I always say, okay, I'm not gonna give up two things. And that's my coffee and my ice cream or my sweet treat or, like, I need to have some sort of dessert every night. And usually it is, like, an ice cream. So that's why I love Yaso. They're available in bars. Chocolate crunch bars. Sandwiches, Poppables and Yaso just launched new spoon which each have around 400 calories and 19g of protein per container. So you get that delicious creamy ice cream and you can have the whole container like that. For me, I like to sit down with the whole container sometimes and like I just love knowing that. So now through April 30th, Yaso is giving away 4,001 of their new spoonables. Head to yaso.comgals to enter and upgrade your freezer. That's y-a s s o.comgals to enter and find full giveaway details, rules and regulations. Find new Yaso spoonables at a grocery store near you.

Danielle Carolyn
Hey, y'. All.
Margot Ashray
No enjoyed, like, her pants, and she's like, you know, I don't know. The more we talk about it, the more I'm kind of more excited.
Danielle Carolyn
No, maybe we're. Yeah, you guys. And the thing is, you guys are gonna see our Instagram stories belting every song, especially Margot.
Margot Ashray
0.5. Like, oh, my God, it's gonna be like, Lady Bells in this performance changed my life. Like, that's. That's exactly what's gonna happen, guys. Sorry.
Danielle Carolyn
Speaking of 0.5, I don't think we've Ever talked about this on the podcast? Like, going to a concert with Margot,
Margot Ashray
you have to be prepared.
Danielle Carolyn
Be prepared. Know every lyric. No, you will get, like, that camera is out for every song.
Margot Ashray
It's so true.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, I'm terrified. So then I have, like, a couple moves, you know, like, I'll do this.
Margot Ashray
Oh, yeah. Block yourself with the hair. Like, that's what it was like. Oh, my God. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, it's so true. I actually, like, think about that. I don't think about that enough of, like, how scary it must be to go to a concert with me. I know, like, how it feels for me, but, like, to be with me, like, it must be, like, absolutely frightening.
Danielle Carolyn
It's scary in that way, but it's also the most contagious thing. Like, you are so fun to go to concerts with.
Margot Ashray
That's, like, the nicest thing anyone could ever say.
Danielle Carolyn
Really. So true. Like, I don't know anyone that loves music more than you.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
And I feel like you'd agree.
Margot Ashray
No, I agree. I agree. Music like, like, feeds my soul.
Danielle Carolyn
It's a beautiful, beautiful thing.
Margot Ashray
Thank you.
Danielle Carolyn
But, yeah, you have to be prepared. Like, if you were to say, danielle, do you want to go to the. I'm trying to think of someone that you like, that I like. Brandon Lake concert. I'd be screwed. Like, I wouldn't know a song and I'd say no because I'll be in the background of every video.
Margot Ashray
Like, no, literally, I'm crying and you're the Christian and I'm the Jew.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, this is true. Yeah, I forgot. He's like worship music.
Margot Ashray
He's literally worship music. I actually wouldn't go to a Brandon Lake concert because I do feel like maybe that's sacrilegious. Like, maybe that's too far. I think that might be too far.
Danielle Carolyn
The most special thing was that stagecoach when he brought. Who was it?
Margot Ashray
Deliro. Brought him out for Hard fought. Hallelujah. Oh, my God. And I was literally, like, there.
Danielle Carolyn
You were literally worshiping.
Margot Ashray
I was like, this is, like, the only chance I'll get because, like, it wasn't in my control.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, a little taste.
Margot Ashray
No.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Margot Ashray
Do you. Does your. When you go to church, is it worship like that?
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Margot Ashray
And are you like, this is amazing or like, it doesn't matter if when
Danielle Carolyn
I'm really in it, I'm in it. But I haven't. I am. I. I haven't gone in so long.
Margot Ashray
You can go for Easter.
Danielle Carolyn
No, no. But when I went in college, like, it was like, one of Those, like.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, like, Hill Song. Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, my God. I loved it. You'd put your hands. Like, you'd really feel it, and I love that. But it hasn't happened in a while. Yeah, but it is so powerful. It's like when you're at a concert
Margot Ashray
and you're like, no, totally. And, like, there's nothing better than, like, a choir. Like, seriously. And even in, like. Like, regular mainstream music, like, a choir always will get me.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, my God. Absolutely. I'm just looking at the. I'm not ignoring you. I'm just looking at.
Margot Ashray
I didn't think you were, like, on your phone texting.
Danielle Carolyn
No, thank God. Do you like Little Big Town? Like, why. Like, why do I. I think. I think they've just been around a long time.
Margot Ashray
They've been. I've also, like, never. I, like, I remember when they were, like, really popular. What? When we were in, like, high school or something. And, like, I was like, they weren't doing it for me then. And then, like, like, Girl Crush. I don't like that song. And I think it's, like, one of the biggest songs in country music. Like, I got a girl crying.
Danielle Carolyn
Hey.
Margot Ashray
Like, I don't like that song. Better, man. Written by Taylor Swift. Sorry. Taylor's version is better. Like, right.
Danielle Carolyn
Of course. Oh, that's so interesting. Yeah. Brooks and Dunn, which will be so love.
Margot Ashray
We've seen them at Taste before. They're fabulous.
Danielle Carolyn
Yes. Hootie and the Blowfish. Was it you that got excited about. Or maybe Katie Bellotti?
Margot Ashray
I do love. I think it was Katie Belates. Darius Rucker.
Danielle Carolyn
What do you mean?
Margot Ashray
That's like, his band.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, so he doesn't do solo anymore?
Margot Ashray
No, no, he, like, does both. He dabbles. I, like, don't understand.
Danielle Carolyn
So.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Okay. Exciting. Obviously. So Post Malone is headlining.
Margot Ashray
I know. Which, like, I do love Post, and I do think he'll be a good performer. And what I will say. He will bring out everyone.
Danielle Carolyn
He will.
Margot Ashray
I wouldn't be surprised if you brought out, like, Morgan Luke, like, whatever. But I don't know. I would have liked. There's just, like. I feel like country music is at such a high right now. Like, we could have done better.
Danielle Carolyn
I completely agree. I feel like he just headlined. Or was he not a headliner?
Margot Ashray
He wasn't a headliner, but he was. He's right before.
Danielle Carolyn
And he just did the F1 trillion tour. Like, I just feel like we.
Margot Ashray
I. We've done it. I. I do feel exhausted from it,
Danielle Carolyn
but of course it's going to Be so fun.
Margot Ashray
No, it's going to be so here I am, like, combining. Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
It's just so interesting.
Margot Ashray
And then isn't it all. There's also like red clay strays.
Danielle Carolyn
Yes, Red clay strays. Which?
Margot Ashray
Charles Wesley Godwin.
Danielle Carolyn
Who?
Margot Ashray
Charles Wesley Godwin.
Danielle Carolyn
I don't know.
Margot Ashray
Is he there?
Danielle Carolyn
I don't see Charles. Oh, yeah. Third, fourth line.
Margot Ashray
He's so good.
Danielle Carolyn
Teddy swims.
Margot Ashray
I know you love, love Teddy swims. Oh, my God. I didn't realize that. Oh, I love Teddy swims.
Danielle Carolyn
Who else?
Margot Ashray
Who's on Sunday? I feel like Sunday's work today.
Danielle Carolyn
Sunday. Post Malone, Brooks and Warren Zeters. Third eye. I don't know anyone except for Post Malone, Brooks and Dunn and kind of hooting the Blowfish. Like, literally.
Margot Ashray
Wyatt Flora, like, oh, I know why it.
Danielle Carolyn
Eli Young band. That sounds really fun.
Margot Ashray
Oh, they sing and I go down and say my feet in the water and such a good time.
Danielle Carolyn
I think they're gonna be at like 2:00'. Clock.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, but you know me, I go. I go at two and then I go back to the house.
Danielle Carolyn
No Margot, guys, she's insane. She's like, okay, whoever wants to come, we're gonna go. We're doing two shifts. I'm gonna go. I'm come back. I'm gonna change into my other shoes. Like, you have a whole.
Margot Ashray
I have a whole system. No, it's so true.
Danielle Carolyn
No, it's amazing. You've got it down to a size.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, no, I know.
Danielle Carolyn
I'm going to vivrel this week to like, pick out some bags.
Margot Ashray
Oh, I need to do that. We should coordinate. Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Do you really go places on your lunch break or. No. Do you work through your lunch?
Margot Ashray
Yeah, I go get my soup and I eat it at my desk.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Margot Ashray
Or like, I'll sit in the kitchen with my work friends and like, gossip. Honestly. Yeah, no, my, like, I have a very good work set up. Thank God. Like, I have a lot of friends at work and like, you know, it's a. It's a good balance of like actually getting done, but also like, if I need to go, like yap or cry, I have people. I can do that too.
Danielle Carolyn
And I feel like sometimes you use that telephone booth.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, I'm always in that telephone booth because I sit like out in the open and so like, if I'm taking like a. Not a private call, but yeah, like, if I'm on FaceTime, I'm not like, gonna go, dude, I'm a desk. I don't even hear my, like. Yeah, go into My. Of course, my telephone booth. Wait.
Danielle Carolyn
Also, we're just really talking about country music, but that's because Brooke's not here. We can like do it, you know?
Margot Ashray
You know, literally, this is for country music lovers.
Danielle Carolyn
You just had the craziest week. Oh, with Luke Holmes.
Margot Ashray
I did.
Danielle Carolyn
Can you just tell everyone briefly if they don't know what you did a couple weeks ago? Yeah.
Margot Ashray
So basically, Luke Holmes's team flew me out to Vegas.
Danielle Carolyn
No big deal.
Margot Ashray
To essentially kind of COVID his, like, opening weekend of his stadium tour. And it was kicked off in Vegas, but also his out new album had released. And so they were doing like an album listening party at the stadium the night prior to release. And I hosted it. It was like, with some of his, like, his super fans, his bootleggers, as they call it. And it was basically just like, me, like, and I'd had the album for weeks prior, which was. Was insane, and was like talking them through the album, playing the album. And so, like, that was really cool. And then it was just like everything. And like, for those who don't know, like, Luke Holmes is like my number one. Like, he is. I think his music is so incredible. I think he has such an amazing voice. Like, I love how much he, like, loves his wife and loves his family. And he's such a good Hamish guy and he has such an amazing team around him. Like, seriously couldn't speak more highly of them. And then like the next day he was doing this is the craziest experience of my life. He did a rehearsal, obviously, because it never before seen show at the stadium. And it was like a three it. He has like a 360 stage, like bigger. The biggest short show tour he's ever done. And so he did a full rehearsal in the stadium and I was there. And when I tell you it was quite literally me, my two best friends and Luke's team just in an empty stadium. A personal intimate concert of my favorite artist. Ever imagine that with like Drake? No. It was fucking insane. And I knew it at the time too, which, like, I was like, holy shit. Like, I literally can't believe this is my life. Like, I just was like flipping flippin. And then the next night was the show and it was incredible. And when I like saw Luke, he was like, I saw you rocking out of rehearsals yesterday.
Danielle Carolyn
And I was like, why could you not?
Margot Ashray
I was like, yeah. I mean, I don't know how you can miss me, but it was the most amazing weekend. Like, I would. I need to do that ever, every weekend again for the Rest of my life. Like, it was so insane. And I was just, like, felt so blessed to be there. Crazy imposter syndrome. But I was just like. Like, I was just like, oh. Like. Yeah. And I've gotten promoted that week. Like, it was. It was a really amazing. It was an amazing week for me.
Danielle Carolyn
There's no one more deserving.
Margot Ashray
Thank you.
Danielle Carolyn
That was so fun to watch. Like, every day I'm like, what is she doing now? Luke Combs related?
Margot Ashray
No, literally everything was Luke Combs related. And I went vintage shopping and, like, got the most amazing pieces. It was really a fabulous weekend.
Danielle Carolyn
I, like, love Vegas same.
Margot Ashray
But, like. No, I do. It's just, like, so overwhelming.
Danielle Carolyn
And it's so big, but so fun.
Margot Ashray
Yeah. So have you been to the Sphere?
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Margot Ashray
For what?
Danielle Carolyn
Ryan and I went and saw, like, an Earth show. I forget what it was called.
Margot Ashray
Earth, Wind and Fire.
Danielle Carolyn
No, no, no. Not a concert.
Margot Ashray
Not a concert for, like, a.
Danielle Carolyn
It was like a nature. I forget what it was called. It was really cool.
Margot Ashray
Oh, that's cool. You need to see a show there.
Danielle Carolyn
I know.
Margot Ashray
You need to see each other.
Danielle Carolyn
Is it that cool?
Margot Ashray
Yes.
Danielle Carolyn
Okay.
Margot Ashray
Yeah. It's insane.
Danielle Carolyn
It was, like, spooky. When we first walked, did you feel like, whoa, like.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, I felt like I was on a roller coaster.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
It trips you out.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
But it is really cool. I just, like, love Vegas because you, like, don't know what time it is at all. And it's just, like, fun.
Margot Ashray
You literally don't know what time it is, like, at all. Like, you're just, like. It could be light out, it could be dark out. Like, you have no idea. But when we were there was so hot. Like, you couldn't actually stand outside for more than one second. Like, you had to be in a car.
Danielle Carolyn
If you were to do a Bachelorette tomorrow, where would you do it? Oh, I, like, talk about this all.
Margot Ashray
I always used to say Nashville. But, like, oh, but, like, no, because, like, I've been there so many times, and, like, I don't know. It's, like, kind of. I just, like, I want to live in Nashville. I don't want to do my bachelorette party in Nashville.
Danielle Carolyn
Do you really?
Margot Ashray
Yeah. But now I would do it in Saint Barts.
Danielle Carolyn
It's basic, but so fun. No, that's not basic. It's hard.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
It's.
Danielle Carolyn
You know, it's hard to get there. Yeah. How?
Margot Ashray
I've never been, actually. How was your trip?
Danielle Carolyn
It was amazing.
Margot Ashray
I didn't even talk to you.
Danielle Carolyn
It was amazing at the time.
Margot Ashray
Of your life.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, if we ever try to do a Cabo trip again, I'm just gonna
Margot Ashray
say, St. Bart, I'm. You know that I'm behind you 100. I can't even talk about it. I, like, can't believe that Margot really
Danielle Carolyn
tried to make the Cabo trip happen this year. Like, no one tried harder than.
Margot Ashray
And by the way, no one tried harder than Margot, and no one also didn't have. I have no. I had no time for it. In hindsight, like, I was gone every single weekend.
Danielle Carolyn
When would we have gone?
Margot Ashray
I would have figured it out. One thing about me is I figured out.
Danielle Carolyn
No, I know. The weekend that we maybe almost did. I ended up not being able to do, so I was like, thank God we didn't.
Margot Ashray
Oh, yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Actually, there was, like, so much stuff going on.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Just, like, for the best.
Margot Ashray
It was for the best. But, like, we did. We did do it last year. Yeah, we did it last year. We have to do it next year.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. And maybe at the same part, you
Margot Ashray
know, I'm kind of. I'm okay with, like, retiring Cabo.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. It was fun.
Margot Ashray
It was fun. It had its moment, though. Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
I don't have a Delta flight, or at least. No, they do now.
Margot Ashray
No, no, no. I think they just have the JetBlue
Danielle Carolyn
and that jet Blue flight. Every time something happens and we're on
Margot Ashray
100%, I think it's just time that we upgrade.
Danielle Carolyn
It's time that we upgrade. We love a lot wants to go to Saint Bar. It's like. Yeah. So we can test it out to see if you, like.
Margot Ashray
Okay, done.
Danielle Carolyn
But, yeah, done. Nashville. That's so fun. You really could live there. Huh?
Margot Ashray
Huh? Every time I go now because, like, now I have, like, a lot of friends who live there. And so, like, it's. It's more just, like, being there as opposed to just. Even though, like, I go to Broadway every night, but, like, it's more being there rather than just, like, doing all the touristy stuff.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Margot Ashray
And I just, like, feel this, like, pull to Nashville. I'm never gonna do it, but, I mean, I can talk about it. I know. I know. That's so true.
Danielle Carolyn
But I know I only say, oh, my gosh, that's so interesting, because I. Ryan and I always used to always say, like, oh, my God, we live in Nashville. But then I'm like, I love visiting Nashville.
Margot Ashray
Right.
Danielle Carolyn
And doing the whole weekend there. But obviously you can go to Broadway when you live there.
Margot Ashray
And they do.
Danielle Carolyn
I see Shannon does it.
Margot Ashray
And. Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Our other Friends that live there. But sometimes I'm like, like. But I like it the same. But I guess, yeah, if you're doing, like, I only do the touristy thing.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, no, I like, I don't know. I just like Stewart vibes. I just love it.
Danielle Carolyn
What do you think of the Hannah Montana special?
Margot Ashray
You know, I obviously liked it. Yeah. I just, like, I feel like they could have for the 20th anniversary because they made it, like, this whole big thing, like, go on tour.
Danielle Carolyn
I really thought that was gonna happen.
Margot Ashray
Like, that's like, go on tour and like, obviously I. I will eat up whatever they will give me. Like, I thought, like, I never thought there would be a day where like, like, Miley would even, like, really acknowledge Hannah again. Do you know what I mean? So, like, I will eat up anything that you give. But, like, if I had my druthers, like, I want to see you in person. And, like, I wish, like, she, like, did more saying more.
Danielle Carolyn
I know. Like, it was just like, yeah, here is.
Margot Ashray
It is.
Danielle Carolyn
And yeah, random celebrities popping in.
Margot Ashray
Oh, I didn't need that. I didn't need that at all.
Danielle Carolyn
No. And I also. I still am really confused by, like, Jackson. Rod Stewart wasn't there.
Margot Ashray
Right? Right.
Danielle Carolyn
He was at the premiere, but he wasn't in the so many.
Margot Ashray
I just feel like there's a lot more that they could have done. Like, they had a huge opportunity, and I'm not gonna say they failed. They didn't. Because anything I. Literally anything they would have done would have been successful.
Danielle Carolyn
However, 100.
Margot Ashray
I just, like, would have liked a little bit more.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, that's it. I got home the other day and decided we're doing a little spring reset with my closet. Like, I'm officially taking things out that were for winter. We're bringing in the spring things, and I'm like, wait, wait, wait. I need to focus more on quality over, over quantity. Like, it is so fun building a wardrobe of pieces that are well made, versatile, and easy to reach for every day. That's why I keep coming back to Quinn's. The fabrics feel elevated, the fits are very thoughtful, and the pricing is just incredible and just makes sense. I just got this gorgeous gray cashmere sweater from Quince. I wore it the other day. It looks so good thrown over my shoulder or also just over a white tea or on its own. Like. Like, it looks cute when you're traveling. And it's very cozy and warm, but also light for the summer. I don't know.
Margot Ashray
It's just perfect.
Danielle Carolyn
And Quince makes beautiful everyday Pieces using premium materials like 100 European linen, organic cotton, super soft denim, all with styles starting around $50. Their spring pieces are lightweight, breathable, effortless. The kinds of things you can throw on and instantly look put together. They also have 100 hand woven Italian leather. And it looks, looks so expensive. More expensive than it actually is because Quince works directly with ethical factories and cuts out the middlemen. So you're paying for quality, not the brand markup. Refresh your spring wardrobe with quince. Go to quince.comgals for free shipping and 365 day returns. Now available in Canada too. makeup because I don't want to like have that like heavy, cakey like look on my skin. And like, honestly I feel like I need to take breaks from, from makeup because like I need to let my skin breathe. That is if I'm not using og. OG is a certified organic beauty brand that truly performs like luxury makeup, but it's like more like a skincare. Okay. Because for me I want things that are gonna like be double duty. I want them to be like working for my skin but also actually work. And most makeup is actually 80 to 90 pigment and filler. But OG's Crystal Contour collection is flipping that cuz it's actually 90% of skin care ingredients. So it's got like elderberry extract and cold pressed jojoba. And these are ingredients that I would actually spend like money on in serious skincare. But they actually happen to be like in, in my blush, you know, which is so cool. They're certified organic and they are effortless and it gives you like that really conscious luxury. I feel like it's. These are really great to like elevate your routine. So basically they have three sticks, they have the copper for the warmth. So a little bit of the bronze action there. You've got the rose quart which is going to give you a nice flush. And opal for glow. I'm a highlighter girly. I like to do a little on the nose and a little on the cheekbone, even a little on the eyes. You could do your whole face in five minutes and just look like you're having a good skin day. It's like that natural, like your face, but better. And for me, like now that I've kind of completed my skin journey, like that is what I'M looking for most of the time when I am wearing makeup like dayto day, it really looks like your face is like naturally snatched. Okay, so it couldn't be easier. If you're ready to raise your beauty standards, OG's got you covered. Head to OG.comGals on the Go and use code Gals on the Go for 15 off. Margot Ashray
So scary.
Danielle Carolyn
And I realized I feel like I'm pretty insufferable to sit next to on a plane.
Margot Ashray
Oh, my God. Wait.
Danielle Carolyn
I mean, you and I have definitely
Margot Ashray
sat next to each other. We have. And I don't think I've ever thought that. And I would think that.
Danielle Carolyn
Okay, good, because that was my first pulse check.
Margot Ashray
Okay. It was like, is there something you're not telling me? Oh, no. Wait, what do you do?
Danielle Carolyn
Well. Well, maybe it's different if it's someone I know sitting next to me so they wouldn't think anything of it. But I was sitting next to this guy today and I relax. I got upgraded to first class. Oh, okay. Oh, it's late.
Margot Ashray
Okay. Obsessed.
Danielle Carolyn
I move so much. Like I like.
Margot Ashray
You just re like you shift.
Danielle Carolyn
I feel like I'm constantly shifting. I also.
Margot Ashray
Are you in a window or an aisle?
Danielle Carolyn
I was in a window today, but normally I'm an aisle.
Margot Ashray
Okay.
Danielle Carolyn
What about you?
Margot Ashray
Window.
Danielle Carolyn
Window. Oh, yeah. Because you always do the mirror or the window.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, I never have a window.
Danielle Carolyn
You never have window. I. You know what I've noticed? I do recently.
Margot Ashray
I'm so scared.
Danielle Carolyn
I take off my shoes.
Margot Ashray
Oh, I do too.
Danielle Carolyn
Okay.
Margot Ashray
Oh, I do too. But I have socks on. Yeah. What's wrong with that?
Danielle Carolyn
Someone said recently, like, oh, my God. And they had their. It might have been broke. I don't know. Someone said it was like. And they, like, took their shoes off. I was like, I fully do that.
Margot Ashray
I'm sorry. If it's a long flight. Like, I've got to take my shoes off.
Danielle Carolyn
Yes. Like, my laces start to hurt the top of my feet.
Margot Ashray
Because your feet swell on planes. That's it. And so, like, I need. I just need to let my freak flag fly and I need to take my shoes off.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. And like, if it started to smell. Oh, my God. Oh, for sure.
Margot Ashray
Me neither. Like, I have self awareness.
Danielle Carolyn
Maybe after like a long dance stage coach.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, of course. But I would never do that. No. I would sooner wash my feet in the bathroom.
Danielle Carolyn
Okay. So that actually is surprising to hear from you.
Margot Ashray
Oh, yeah, no, I. I take my
Danielle Carolyn
shoes off because it's so cool. And like, also, it would have to be like, a longer flight.
Margot Ashray
It has to be a longer flight. And also. But two, like, I feel like, a lot, obviously now it's. We're coming out of winter. But, like, when it's winter, it's like you're wearing like, Uggs or if you're going to like, Aspen or whatever and you're wearing moon boots. Like, I'm sorry, I'm not wearing those shoes for the entire flight. Like, it's gonna have so much better. Yeah, no, I'm with you.
Danielle Carolyn
Cuz also, if you like, I feel
Margot Ashray
like the comments are gonna be, like, so divided, but, like, oh, 100%.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, people think I'm disgusting.
Margot Ashray
Do you recline?
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Margot Ashray
Me too.
Danielle Carolyn
Okay, so we'd be good. Maybe that's it. Yeah, I think. Yes, you recline. That's what it.
Margot Ashray
That's what it's there for. Why wouldn't I use it if.
Danielle Carolyn
Sure. If you want to do a courtesy look back to see. To make sure they're not like, eating or something. I guess.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
I'm reclining.
Margot Ashray
No, I'm reclining.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, I. I just. I will literally never understand that I'm paying so much money to sit on this plane. I want to be as comfortable as I can.
Margot Ashray
Like, 100. I'm behind you.
Danielle Carolyn
It makes me Feel so much better. And then sometimes when I'm, like, pressing on the tv, I'm, like, worried I'm hitting the person in front of me.
Margot Ashray
Oh, you know, I honestly never touch the tv.
Danielle Carolyn
That's when I'm bored. I'm like, I'm not even gonna watch movie, but. What? Movies?
Margot Ashray
Yeah. Do you get email on planes?
Danielle Carolyn
What?
Margot Ashray
Like, emotional.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, I thought you said email. No, and I know that some people do.
Margot Ashray
I get email on planes.
Danielle Carolyn
I think it's a window seat thing.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, for sure.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, I'm in the aisle.
Margot Ashray
Where do I. Yeah, no, I'm, like, staring out into, like, the sky and, like, seeing how, like, big and vast the earth is. And then it's like, suddenly all my problems seem so small, but then it's like, but are they that small? And then I just, like, start thinking about it more and more.
Danielle Carolyn
It is fun. No, on the occasion that I'm in a window seat, I romanticize it a little bit.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, I mean, you romanticize everything. Is that still your Instagram bio?
Danielle Carolyn
So funny. So my Instagram bio, for a really long time was shamelessly romanticizing New York.
Margot Ashray
So true. Oh, I thought it was shamelessly romanticizing my life.
Danielle Carolyn
Maybe it was. I don't know. And I. I removed it because I was like, that's not me. Then. Yes, it is not. That's on me. But I was like, is that Whatever. I don't even know. I just took it out. My manager texts me, and she doesn't really control my Instagram, of course. And she goes, why'd you take that out of your bio? I was like, oh, that's so interesting. Like, I don't know. I just thought, like, I should change it. She was like, no, put it back. I'm sick.
Margot Ashray
Why?
Danielle Carolyn
It made me look different. I was like, really?
Margot Ashray
No. By the way, I kind of, like, agree. Like, I also do feel like it really explains who you are because it also shows that you're just, like, a positive person and you're looking for, like, the best in everything. I don't know. I loved it.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, thanks. Well, it's back to that. What's your Instagram bio these days?
Margot Ashray
I had a marvelous time ruining everything. Is it still, huh. Maybe it's time to change it. But, like, no.
Danielle Carolyn
I mean, that's. That's what I thought it was, but I was like, maybe not anymore.
Margot Ashray
No, I haven't touched it.
Danielle Carolyn
What about your profile picture?
Margot Ashray
Is it right now? It's from when I was in Idaho. Sun Valley.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, yes. Those were such.
Margot Ashray
Such Good photos. But then I'm like, now that it's getting, like, sunny out, like, do I change it?
Danielle Carolyn
Do you.
Margot Ashray
Do. Do you change your IG photo based on, like, the season?
Danielle Carolyn
I used to. But I have had the same Instagram profile photo for years.
Margot Ashray
Years, years. I change mine. Loki a lot.
Danielle Carolyn
I, like, need to do that more.
Margot Ashray
Sometimes it's just, like, it. Like, what it is, is no longer a representation of who I am.
Danielle Carolyn
No, 100%. Does yours. Do you have sunglasses on?
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Okay. Because that's my problem is I always have. Not my problem, but I always have sunglasses on, and I feel like I can't have a photo with my sunglasses.
Margot Ashray
I agree. But the sunglasses that I have have on in this photo are, like, clear sunglasses, so you can kind of see the eyes.
Danielle Carolyn
You know what I mean?
Margot Ashray
Oh, by the way, I agree. No, you should, like, you should be able to see their. Like, what this person looks like.
Danielle Carolyn
Now I have to look at your Instagram profile. Like, I know the photos, but I'm, like, just, you know, I'm really struggling over here.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, no, those are my big struggles. Like, and changing my IG photo, like, for some reason is, like, this the biggest deal for me. Like, I, like, I have to make sure I get the ratio right. Like, it has to, like. And it can't be too far away, can't be too dark.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, yeah, that's cute.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Clear, sunny.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, that makes sense.
Margot Ashray
Do you think I should delete the hearts? What?
Danielle Carolyn
Hearts?
Margot Ashray
Do you know that I have hearts, like, surrounding my name? And, like, it's like, oh, my God, that's so cute. And it's been that way since I got Instagram. And it's like, when you see me view your story, like, it's easy to tell because I have the heart hurts.
Danielle Carolyn
I literally have never, like, noticed it.
Margot Ashray
Oh, okay.
Danielle Carolyn
But now, like. Oh, my God.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, right?
Danielle Carolyn
That is so. No, now it's.
Margot Ashray
Now I think it's just me. Like, I can't.
Danielle Carolyn
If you ever have this inkling to change it one day, you could.
Margot Ashray
But, like, maybe when I get married.
Danielle Carolyn
Have you noticed that mine's all caps? Wait, is it like, mine all caps?
Margot Ashray
Oh, actually, that looks right. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I knew that.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, I don't know, one day I just. Just decided to do that.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, no, for sure.
Danielle Carolyn
It's just, like, those little things.
Margot Ashray
No, I know it's, like, it's because it's honestly a representation of, like, when you started. Like, I put the hearts because I, like, was, like, that was so Me, like, I loved emojis and, like, pink and whatever. And like, now I think if I was making an Instagram, would I put that there? No.
Danielle Carolyn
No, definitely not. But, like, I mean, they're just pink hearts, you know, it's not like.
Margot Ashray
But it is, like, loud. Like, think about it. Nobody else has, like, emojis.
Danielle Carolyn
It's probably good. You probably get a really good response rate on your Instagram story replies. Because people.
Margot Ashray
Because you reply to someone, it's like, it's better than a check mark.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Margot Ashray
Yeah. Or if, like, a boy wants to see if I viewed his story. Like, you can see it in two seconds literally.
Danielle Carolyn
Exactly. I still wish you can search story
Margot Ashray
reviewers or filter by, like, following.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, I know, because it's not. Yeah, it's not like I'm trying to see what boys are watching my story, but I just. There's certain people. I'm like, like, I will convince myself. Like, I convinced myself the other day that this influencer we all know hates me. Like, I just, like, decided it. So then I was trying to. I'll tell you later. But I was trying to, like, see if she had, like, she hadn't liked any.
Margot Ashray
Because you can search your likes, by the way. That is my favorite fucking tool. I do it for literally everyone. Like, to see.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, to search if they've liked it.
Margot Ashray
No, just to search, like, because you can look at your shared activity so you can see all the photo. Do you not know this?
Danielle Carolyn
No. What are you saying?
Margot Ashray
Oh, my God. You can go to my. You can go to my profile and, like, press, like, the three dots, whatever, and it's like, see shared activity. And you can see all of the posts of yours that I've ever liked and vice versa. So, like, when you have a crush, that's so important. Or like, if you have, like, a hater, that's so important, one of you just has to be following the other. It doesn't even have to be, like, you both following each other. Wait, I can't believe you don't know this. Give me.
Danielle Carolyn
I just clicked on you.
Margot Ashray
Oh, yeah. So you go likes. It's kind of slow.
Danielle Carolyn
Sorry, guys. Yeah, probably because we like.
Margot Ashray
No, I think we like, like all of each other's stuff.
Danielle Carolyn
That is crazy.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, look, it's so crazy.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, these posts.
Margot Ashray
These are my posts liked by you.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, my God.
Margot Ashray
And then liked by them. Like, all the ones that I've liked.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, my God.
Margot Ashray
Isn't that crazy? That's.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Wow.
Danielle Carolyn
I don't think Brooke knows that either.
Margot Ashray
Oh, this is A. I thought that's cool. Oh, I thought that's what you're talking about. It's the most amazing thing. Also, sorry, because she just text you. I have to talk about Clara Pierce.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, my God. Her name is pronounced Purse.
Margot Ashray
It's Clara Purse, but she's used to
Danielle Carolyn
be going Claire Pierce.
Margot Ashray
Sorry.
Danielle Carolyn
What about Clara?
Margot Ashray
That she had the most iconic engagement. Whatever it's called launch of all time. You know, that's my dream.
Danielle Carolyn
Is that your dream?
Margot Ashray
Like, that is how I will launch. Like, that I even have a man.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, my. Yeah, I guess I knew that. Like, when you're engaged.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
No, guys, I actually did want to talk about this. I'm so glad you brought it up. Clara Purse, she's been on the podcast. Friend of. I'm actually going to. I'll have gone to Coachella with her, so I'm very excited. But she has never, ever talked, I don't think ever.
Margot Ashray
I didn't even know she had a man. And then I think I asked you one. I was. I think I assumed she was single. And I just, like, mentioned. And you're like, no, she has a boyfriend. I was like, yeah. I was like, oh, I had no idea. Love that for her. Like, I love that for her.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. You were like, that's my dream.
Margot Ashray
I was like, that's my dream.
Danielle Carolyn
No, she has done it. So not even high. Like, she just, like, didn't talk about that part of her, which is so valid. Which is so valid. And, like, you should be able to do that. But she got engaged in Carmel by the Sea recently and just posted a dump. And Carmel, there's lots of rocks with, like, ocean and stuff. So she posted a dump. The first photo is just, like, her in a dress and she said, watch for rocks. And, like, the third photo is her.
Margot Ashray
I don't even think it was the third photo. I literally think it's like the eighth. Like, it was deep.
Danielle Carolyn
Wow, that is so hurt. And I was wondering if people would catch on. Like, did you catch on or did you see someone else?
Margot Ashray
Like, you know, honestly, I didn't even catch on, but I saw that her engagement was, like, just, like, really high. I was like, this is really cute. Like, vacation Dom. Why is it, like, going off? And so then I, like, went to the comments and I was like, oh, I missed something. I missed something entirely. And so then I, like, went back and I was like, oh, shit.
Danielle Carolyn
No, it's. It's the craziest, coolest thing.
Margot Ashray
Yeah. No. And, like, honestly, it's like, now it's on my FYP of people being like, I. Like, I didn't know Clara.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Margot Ashray
They're like, I missed a chapter. Like, I'm like, love that.
Danielle Carolyn
Actually, my panic of the week was that. So it was April Fool's Day, the day they got engaged. And my friends, I can't say the prank because it's too much, but my friends pranked me hard. Like, laid the groundwork. A few weeks ago, my high school friends did this. Oh, I love prank on me. Oh my God.
Margot Ashray
I mean, you had to be pranked that you're the biggest prankster.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, no, it was. And I was like, I was so, it was so sweet. I was like, they put in groundwork.
Margot Ashray
Like, no.
Danielle Carolyn
Said something to me a few weeks ago. It was very sweet. So I had been just pranked and I. So I was aware, you know, like it was, you know.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Clara's on this trip. She just sends me a photo of her hand and it literally looked AI. I mean, that just means her nail looked so good. Yeah, literally looked AI. And it was a picture of her hand with the ring. And she goes, isn't she cute? And it just like, it didn't feel
Margot Ashray
real because like, no.
Danielle Carolyn
So I'm like. So at first I go, oh, my gosh, Congratulations. Wait, is this April Fools?
Margot Ashray
No, literally, by the way, that's valid. I think that that's a valid reaction.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. Because also, like, I was. It was just so out of the blue.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
And she goes, oh my God. No, but like, that is so funny. It's April Fools. And then I went off. I was like, oh my God, I'm
Margot Ashray
so happy for you.
Danielle Carolyn
But I was like, I wish I didn't even like. But I didn't want to be got.
Margot Ashray
No, no, you didn't want to be got. I get that. You were, you were on guard.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. So that was really, really funny. I have a photo of me being
Margot Ashray
like, ah, that's really cute. Did you know it was coming?
Danielle Carolyn
No. I mean, no, I wasn't told of anything, but like, yeah, I didn't know cuz she's younger than me.
Margot Ashray
Oh, she is.
Danielle Carolyn
How.
Margot Ashray
Oh, God. How old are she? I'm scared.
Danielle Carolyn
I think, I think she's just. I think she's 26. I'm 27. Okay.
Margot Ashray
I think I'm 28. I feel like you've always been. You're not a year younger than me.
Danielle Carolyn
You're more than a year birthday soon.
Margot Ashray
Shut up.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, shut up.
Margot Ashray
Shut up.
Danielle Carolyn
So you're turning 29.
Margot Ashray
Shut up. I can't believe you just said that. I can't believe you just said that.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, my God. I thought you liked your birthday.
Margot Ashray
I hate my birthday these days. Getting older is, like, so sad and scary.
Danielle Carolyn
Okay, that's new. Because normally the Margot. I know.
Margot Ashray
No, totally. And, like, you know, I'll do a whole thing, but, like, didn't I text you to reserve a date or something?
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. God, I'm literally.
Margot Ashray
You're not gonna be here. It's fine. I missed your birthday, so it's fine.
Danielle Carolyn
I know. We've, like, missed. I missed your birthday last year.
Margot Ashray
Oh, what did I do?
Danielle Carolyn
Or one year you did, like, a dinner party.
Margot Ashray
Oh, yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, no, I wasn't there at the dinner party.
Margot Ashray
You weren't there? No, no. Brooke came and held down the fort.
Danielle Carolyn
Yes. I'm excited to hear what you're doing for your birthday. Or you just held a date.
Margot Ashray
No, I have it figured out. It's like, really nothing crazy. I'm just, like, doing, like, something intimate.
Danielle Carolyn
My birthday, but, like, save the date.
Margot Ashray
No. Yeah, literally. Because, like, then I'll be even more depressed if I don't do something. But, like, it's. No, I'm not doing, like, a party. Like, I mean, I am. It's like, intimate. You'll tell you.
Danielle Carolyn
I cannot wait.
Margot Ashray
No, it's nothing crazy. It's like, nothing to, like, not wait for, you know?
Danielle Carolyn
No, but, like, I'm just so nosy.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, I like to know everything.
Margot Ashray
No, you do.
Danielle Carolyn
Do you feel like I reply to your stories a lot? I mean, I.
Margot Ashray
No, I'd like it if you replied more.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, perfect.
Margot Ashray
Yeah. No, you are story replyer, but, like, not enough. And I feel like you used to do more, but also I get your bas. You're busy. But also you are so nosy. And that's like, my favorite thing about you is, like, if I want to know something, like, and I like, I. I'll, like, kind of do it. But like, if, like, someone posts something and I'm like, oh, yeah, yeah. And I'm like, wait, like, send it to Danielle and be like, I'll just ask.
Danielle Carolyn
No, I literally, I'll just ask you.
Margot Ashray
Like, you'll just ask. But also because you are, like, kind of friends with everyone, so it's not weird if you ask.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, I guess I'm not. Not. Yeah, but like, I. Yeah, I wouldn't ask someone if I didn't feel comfortable.
Margot Ashray
Right.
Danielle Carolyn
I guess I just feel comfortable. Comfortable with a lot of people. But then there's some people I randomly I'm like, oh, we're not there.
Margot Ashray
No. And like, you won't. Yeah. Or you would.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, no, just. It just depends on the day how I'm feeling. But some people that I'm not so close with, but I'm like, on their close friends, so I'm like, so we're friends.
Margot Ashray
Right? Right, right. Close friends. Like, I feel like people don't talk about close friends. Like, influencer close friends. Like, enough.
Danielle Carolyn
It's so fun.
Margot Ashray
It's so fun. It's so tea.
Danielle Carolyn
I do wish, though, I don't post a lot on my close friends. I don't trust.
Margot Ashray
Mine is very tight. Tight. Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
I. I don't know. It's not like I'm posting. I posted some of my close friends the other day. Me taking a shot. I don't know why I put on my close friends instead of real. Like, it's nothing crazy, but, like, I'm like, Snapchat. You could see screenshots.
Margot Ashray
Oh, so true.
Danielle Carolyn
But Instagram, I wish I could see someone screenshot it.
Margot Ashray
Oh, so true. Oh, wait, I haven't even thought about that. I don't really think any one of my close friends, like, would screenshot my close friends.
Danielle Carolyn
No, I think I need to now.
Margot Ashray
I gotta go through again.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, no, you gotta do, like, you gotta clear it out. Aren't you weird about your ratio on Instagram?
Margot Ashray
No, not anymore. I grew up.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh.
Margot Ashray
I used to be crazy.
Danielle Carolyn
What was the number you had to be?
Margot Ashray
500. Now I think about, like, seven something
Danielle Carolyn
following under 500 people.
Margot Ashray
No, I had to only be at 500.
Danielle Carolyn
Right.
Margot Ashray
So if I wanted to follow someone, I had to unfollow someone.
Danielle Carolyn
I think I. Yeah, yeah.
Margot Ashray
Remember, there was, like, a lot of drama that started from that.
Danielle Carolyn
Yes. Yeah.
Margot Ashray
Let us not forget.
Danielle Carolyn
Let us not forget. No, I literally think I follow 2, 000 people or something. Crazy.
Margot Ashray
Yeah. Now I just, like, I just hit that follow button. Like, now I don't care.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, yeah. You follow 745 people.
Margot Ashray
Oh, my God, I do. I gotta unfollow people. That's crazy. Yeah, that's a lot.
Danielle Carolyn
But see, like, sometimes I want to see, like, brands I like. Like, I want to see their new arrival.
Margot Ashray
No, totally.
Danielle Carolyn
And then that counts as one.
Margot Ashray
What brands do you follow? That's an interesting point.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, okay, what do I have seen? Like, retrofit, cult, Gaia.
Margot Ashray
And you follow them.
Danielle Carolyn
I follow them. Yeah. Like, certain ones that I. I would like to know when they, like, do a drop shop.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Park, like, random. I follow 2700 people. And, like, I will literally see. You weren't in a sorority, right? No, I will go through. And I'm like, there's all these girls over my sorority. And I'm like, I just can't let go of, like, I feel bad.
Margot Ashray
No, I have that too. I feel that too. I also feel that way, like, college also about people who have passed. Like, I can't unfollow them. Have you never thought about that?
Danielle Carolyn
I haven't, like, come across across that.
Margot Ashray
Oh, I have come across that.
Danielle Carolyn
That's really sad. Yeah. No, you can't.
Margot Ashray
You can't. Like, I feel like it's like, it's like, so rude.
Danielle Carolyn
Did you see that? You can now change your email.
Margot Ashray
What do you mean?
Danielle Carolyn
Like Gmail? Like, you can change your handle now, apparently.
Margot Ashray
What do you. Wait, what?
Danielle Carolyn
Like, like my.
Margot Ashray
You couldn't do that before? Like, I couldn't change my Gmail if I wanted to.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, I literally. One of my emails is so embarrassed. Like, it's. I'm not even gonna say it, but
Margot Ashray
it's like, yeah, like, my AOL is, like, embarrassing.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, like, love soccer 23. Like, stuff like that. Now you can. I think at least on Gmail, you can now change your handle. Oh, so if someone sends an email to that old, it'll go, got it. But then you get your new. But then I'm like, that's so everyone's gonna have, like, two names. Like, I don't know how that's gonna work.
Margot Ashray
No, you can probably only change it to emails that are available.
Danielle Carolyn
No, of course. But then just more and more get taken because, like, so true. That sucks. If someone, maybe the girl that has Danielle Carolyn, like, she got married and she doesn't need it anymore, you know?
Margot Ashray
Yeah, totally.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, that's crazy.
Margot Ashray
That is crazy. That is crazy.
Danielle Carolyn
I also recently I grew up hating my last name.
Margot Ashray
Oh, interesting.
Danielle Carolyn
Isn't that interesting?
Margot Ashray
Ashray? I, like, loved my last name only because, like, because I'm the youngest and like, I always thought my sisters were, like, so cool. So I was just like, oh, Ashra. Yeah, I'm one of them.
Danielle Carolyn
That's so cute. Yeah, I like your last name.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
I only say that because I, for
Margot Ashray
whatever reason, how do you pronounce your last name?
Danielle Carolyn
So this is actually really funny. When I was on the toast, I think I told Claudia the wrong way to say her.
Margot Ashray
And now she. Oh, she says Carol Ann Caroline.
Danielle Carolyn
And like, that is a way to say it. A lot of, like, northerners say my last name. Carolyn.
Margot Ashray
How do you say it.
Danielle Carolyn
I say Carolyn.
Margot Ashray
Like, Carolyn. Oh, my God. I don't know if I knew that. But how do you say my last name? Because mine's the same way. We have like 800 different variations.
Danielle Carolyn
Ashrae.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, I say ashrae, but there's like, ashri. Osre. Oshri. Let me say, a lot of people say, oh, sure.
Danielle Carolyn
Sometimes I say Oshri.
Margot Ashray
I like Ashray. Oh, sure. I don't love.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, I've never.
Margot Ashray
A lot of people say, oh, sure.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, sure. That doesn't, like, feel right off the top.
Margot Ashray
No, I agree. Ashrae.
Danielle Carolyn
No, but some people do call me, like, say, Carol Ann. I don't know, but I think I've
Margot Ashray
always said Carol Ann, honestly.
Danielle Carolyn
And, like, now you have to do that.
Margot Ashray
No, it's Carolyn Bessette.
Danielle Carolyn
Today on the plane, they were like, Ms. Carolyn, like, thinking, and I was
Margot Ashray
like, you know what?
Danielle Carolyn
Hell, yeah. Like, that's a good last name. Yeah, you know, it's just like a first name. So people get. Get confused. They'll be like, can you give me your last name? And I'm like, carolyn. They're like, no, no, give me your last name.
Margot Ashray
It's a firstly first.
Danielle Carolyn
But it's just like, you know, growing up is growing up and getting old.
Margot Ashray
I've been listening to that song a lot lately.
Danielle Carolyn
Luke, I. You memorize songs like that.
Margot Ashray
It's crazy.
Danielle Carolyn
I do not. Yeah, but for some reason, Luke Combs songs. I do.
Margot Ashray
Have you been listening to the album? Yes. I love. So good.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, my God, I love Boys in
Margot Ashray
the lack with lears of. Tell them about Tonight.
Danielle Carolyn
No, I know it, but I don't know the. I know that one. That. Oh, wait. That's literally the line. I know, though.
Margot Ashray
It's like the girls in the front row seeing every line.
Danielle Carolyn
The boys in the back row. Wait, no, no.
Margot Ashray
About them boys in the back with the beers up high and the girls in the front row singing every line.
Danielle Carolyn
I always think of it.
Margot Ashray
Think about them ladders way up in the sky.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, like a concert.
Margot Ashray
No. Yeah, he's describing a concert. It's his. Long live.
Danielle Carolyn
It's so cute. Yeah, I, like, need more Luke Combs in my life. He's not coming to New York, though, right? No, but you already said. Will you go?
Margot Ashray
I'm going again. I have to, because he's adding new songs to the set list. Like, he didn't really. Because the album came out the day before, so he didn't really perform that many songs from the new album when I went. And then I saw when he was there in Charlottesville this past weekend, he added Alcohol Fame. Soon as I get home, Wishpawn, Whiskey, like. And I was like, okay, cool. I'm going again.
Danielle Carolyn
Alcohol fame wasn't in it originally, what I said.
Margot Ashray
I was like, based off the album, the two that you have to perform or tell me about tonight, an alcohol of fame, and he didn't do Alcohol Fame.
Danielle Carolyn
That one's so lit.
Margot Ashray
No, it's so lit. So I have to go. Like, I. It's just not a question. Abcded, abcd. I have to go. And I also feel like I. Like, I would imagine. I don't know, I'm just making this up, but, like, I feel like they're gonna have to add more shows, like, more places. Maybe like, next year. I don't know.
Danielle Carolyn
I told you, the invite's still open. I'm going to lay me and my
Margot Ashray
brother Ella fella in Estero. I've been there for Ask a flat.
Danielle Carolyn
I know. It's what. Literally, I texted you. I was like, didn't you, like, go to. Literally, I'm going so randomly to Estero,
Margot Ashray
Florida, to see how far is that from you, though.
Danielle Carolyn
Oh, my God. So it's like, four hours.
Margot Ashray
Oh, what? Wait, what?
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, four or five hours. Do you think it was closer?
Margot Ashray
Yeah, because for us, it was, like, three hours. So I, like, maybe we're coming from different directions.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah. Because it's, like, basically Naples, and I've never been in Naples, and everyone always talks about Naples.
Margot Ashray
It was beautiful. So we're gonna, like, staying overnight.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, we're gonna, like, drive in, I think. Think the day of the concert and then, like, stay the night after.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
I don't know. I have to find out.
Margot Ashray
Have you ever been to the Keys?
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah.
Margot Ashray
It's so gorgeous.
Danielle Carolyn
That Roxy trip looked so.
Margot Ashray
Oh, it was so fun. And Olivia just went for the first. Not the first time we used to go as kids, but, like, with the kids this past weekend. And it, like, reminded me. It's so. And it's so beautiful.
Danielle Carolyn
What did you go to Key West.
Margot Ashray
Key West.
Danielle Carolyn
It's so fun.
Margot Ashray
It's so.
Danielle Carolyn
I was young, though. I would like to go back at a drinking age.
Margot Ashray
Yeah.
Danielle Carolyn
Everyone was driving.
Margot Ashray
Oh, my God. Yeah, that. I forget what the. Like, that road is called, but, like, it was so fun. And they have, like, live bands, like, everywhere.
Danielle Carolyn
It's literally, like, you feel like you're like Jimmy Buffet.
Margot Ashray
Yeah. It's so Margaritaville. Like, it's so fun and, like, chill and, like, you, like, don't have to wear makeup.
Danielle Carolyn
No, it's the best.
Margot Ashray
It's the best.
Danielle Carolyn
Are you doing your annual, like, trip this year where you, like, go to a National Park?
Margot Ashray
100. Obviously it's not booked. I have, like, so many plans in my brain and nothing's booked because I, like, can't even get through, like, tomorrow.
Danielle Carolyn
Gotta get through festivals.
Margot Ashray
You gotta get through festivals.
Danielle Carolyn
It's crazy.
Margot Ashray
But there's. It's always a busy season. Like, I feel like I have not been here. Like, I legit have, but, like, you haven't really either.
Danielle Carolyn
No, it's. I. But I always feel like April, specifically, for whatever reason, like, is busy always.
Margot Ashray
Because the festivals, whatever. It's usually, like, leading up to it. It's like, I'm fine. I feel like I have not been here.
Danielle Carolyn
No, I know. It's really unfortunate. But it is nice to know that New York's home base.
Margot Ashray
That's true.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, it's so nice. Like, I feel like we can come here, be here for two days and get so much done.
Margot Ashray
So much done. It's so true.
Danielle Carolyn
It's really cool. And, like, see so many of your friends or, like, go to work or whatever it is. Like, I feel like I see so many people in a weekend. Like, you could just.
Margot Ashray
If I try. If you try. Or you can literally just stay in your apartment and never leave.
Danielle Carolyn
Like, whatever works.
Margot Ashray
Whatever works.
Danielle Carolyn
Well, Margot, thank you so much.
Margot Ashray
Thank you so much for having me. I could literally sit here all day.
Danielle Carolyn
I know. I. Selfishly, we hadn't, like, hung out in a while.
Margot Ashray
I know. We have so much to catch up on, like, offline as well. I know, like, so much to catch up on, so.
Danielle Carolyn
But tell everyone they can find you.
Margot Ashray
Oh, my God. You can find me at Mark Ashray on Instagram and Tick Tock. And you can yell at me about my Tick Tock. Com. About my work outfits on Tick Tock. I really, like, don't get offended. So, like, by all means.
Danielle Carolyn
And party.
Margot Ashray
Yeah, literally. And that's all she wrote.
Danielle Carolyn
Yeah, all she wrote. I love you. Thank you guys so much for listening to this week's episode. Subscribe if you're on YouTube, follow Rate, do whatever thing. And we'll be back with Brooke next week. Thanks, Margo.
