A
The following podcast is a Dear Media production.
B
I don't even know if I've said this on the podcast.
A
Did us dirty, though. Can we talk about that?
B
Oh, yeah.
A
Wellness in Vegas in the same sentence is crazy work.
B
Guess what?
A
I found out and then I had to go.
B
I have decided something, and it's nothing to offend.
A
That's wild.
B
I feel like we could both talk about this.
A
Oh, my run club that didn't run.
B
You're at a buzzy. Hey, guys, what's up? Welcome back to Gals on the Go podcast. I'm Danielle.
A
And I'm Brooke. Happy Wednesday.
B
Happy Wednesday. It's so good to see you, buddy.
A
Good to see you. It's only been that long. I know. I was gonna say, actually, this has been quite short compared to the. Just the amount of times we've been apart for Much, much longer.
B
Much, much longer. We had a nice GOTG retreat, which I think was really much needed.
A
It was like a company outing. Like.
B
Yeah.
A
You know, like, when the. That I. I understand why companies do that. Like a team bonding sort of session where brainstorming.
B
We did content.
A
We did. Oh, my gosh. We did content, and people really liked it.
B
So that's a video where we acted like each other, which I feel like we could do three more of those.
A
I wrote so many more ideas.
B
Really?
A
Yeah. I was, like, in bed one night and I was just like, oh, my God, I should have said this, this, and this. Like, you know, afterwards, how things come to. Yeah, so we'll have to do part two, three, four.
B
You know, we'll have to do part two. And then you sent me one. We should do the video where we say what we've influenced each other on.
A
Yes.
B
I have a list of those as well.
A
I need to start a list of that. My notes app is so, like, I need help.
B
I was actually thinking we should do. We did an episode on our notes app. We should do another one. Like, notes app roulette, where we just,
A
like, scroll and pick one. No, I so agree. So I've, like, drafted up, like, texts in there still. Like, you know when you have to, like, do uncomfortable conversations with someone or even literally just being like, hey, can you send me the invoice? Like, I don't know why I draft that up. Like, in my notes, I do the same thing.
B
Especially like, or if I'm about to send a big text to people. Like, hey, guys, like, this is the plant, you know?
A
Yeah, you're right there first.
B
And you just never think to go delete It.
A
No, no. And. And. And it's so disorganized, too. Like, I'll write. I was, like, on this bachelorette a few weeks ago, and I wrote, like, batch, like, gift bag ideas. Cause I was, like, getting ready, and I was like, wow. You know, something good for everybody, you know, they give. Like, the little thing in the room would be a mirror. Like, everybody gets, like, a little, like, portable type of.
B
Yes.
A
Or something. Yeah.
B
Like the.
A
Literally, like the $10 ones on Amazon with the light. And they're portable and they, like, you could charge them or whatever. This is genius if you think about it. There's never enough mirrors in it. But then I. So I started list batch gift ideas. I'm like, I'm never even going to. That's not even going to come up in a search. Like, it's just so disorganized. Like, I'll write a quick note of that, but what are the odds that I remember to, like, reference that note? You know what I'm saying?
B
Yes, I completely agree. It's like, am I gonna even remember I have this note?
A
Yeah. No, I'm definitely not. I've. I've been doing a million of wedding ideas.
B
Yeah.
A
Or I've been getting, you know, so popular. Like, a lot of inquiries, like, people reaching out. I just feel like I'm, like, misplacing, like, usernames and stuff, and I'm not, like, I'll. Screenshot. Do you ever go back to screenshots? I never go back to my screenshots.
B
Never. It's very rare. Unless I'm like, I have to find it because there is that screenshots folder.
A
Yeah. No, it's easier to find that way. But you, like, clean out your photos, too, right? You used to.
B
No, I. Well, I do. Like, if you take 20 photos of me, I'll favorite the ones that I'll delete those, but other than that. No. Do you.
A
No, not at all.
B
I clean out my text. Maybe that's what you're thinking.
A
Oh, you still do that?
B
Oh, I don't delete. Oh, wait, no, that's not the same thing. I don't clean out my text. Oh, you mean just get it to zero the notifications? But, no, I actually like to keep every single text message. I don't know about you. Some people have it where it, like, deletes after a year. No, I need all those memories. Like, I need me and Ryan's first text message.
A
Yeah. I don't look back often, but I. You know, it's nice to know I Have it.
B
It is nice to know I have it. So how are you?
A
Honestly, I'm. I'm really doing swell. Like, we're. I feel like we're in the thick of summer and, you know, life is good. I feel like the. It just goes so fast. How the fuck is it already July?
B
No, I'm really not here for people posting about, like, anthropology has fall stuff out.
A
No, I know.
B
Stop it.
A
And I. I feel like I used to be one of those people, but now I'm like, wait. Actually, like, fall turns into winter, and then it gets really cold. Like, I'm enjoy. Let's just enjoy the present moment, you know, could we please?
B
Because we're all going to be dreaming about. Oh, remember, when it's warm outside, we could wear tank top flip flops. I will not have it. So no fall, y'.
A
All.
B
Until. Especially now that I live in New York. I feel like in. In Florida, fall started in August because that's when school started. But here, school doesn't start till after Labor Day, so I feel like it really is summer until September.
A
Yeah, no, it really. I mean, that's how it always was
B
for me growing up, too.
A
But then I feel like there was, like, the phase of fall things like in consumerism, of course. You know, the candles and the Starbucks drinks, which, you know, I love all that stuff.
B
Do our farm all day.
A
Of course. Love it. But that starts like, mid August. So then you're like, is it fall? But it's also the hottest point of the year, so it's kind of seriously kind of weird if you think it's
B
kind of really weird. So, no, none of that. You will not hear the gals talking about fall for a. For a long time, because it's where I think we're in the middle of summer right now.
A
That's how I feel, too. I. I just saw someone be like, do a video like, that was posted yesterday, like, moving out to the Hamptons for the summer. And I'm like, thank gosh you recognize that. Like, we're still, like, in the summer. You know what I mean? Like, it's not like the end of the summer packing up. It's like, no, no, I'm just. I'm just getting there.
B
Perfect. That, like, that's what I like to hear. I mean, I don't even know if I've said this on the podcast. I have two European travels coming up like, crazy.
A
Like, we're still summer.
B
Euro summer.
A
What is the deal with this Euro summer? Like, it just makes me want to, like, yeah, like, okay. Because it's like a swaggy thing. People say they're like, oh, ye. Doing a Euro summer. In my mind, I thought that Euro summer meant, like, you pack your bags, like, you're moving.
B
Me too. And I agree with you. I actually think that, like, Audrey Peters.
A
Yes. Like, she. Euro summers. Like, she's the definition of Euro summer. Maybe she comes back, like, once. But she is mostly there.
B
She is. She brings her dog, all of her outfits, and she is there. That's what I think of Euro summer too. I don't think Euro summer for five days is. Yeah, same.
A
But people, like, say they're like, are you doing a Euro summer? Like, like. No, I. No. No. Trip. No.
B
Japan summer.
A
Yeah.
B
Literally.
A
Japan summer.
B
Yeah. No, I. Vegas summer. Vegas summer. Vegas. Yeah. Vegas summer is hot. Let me tell you.
A
How hot?
B
104 hot.
A
Dry heat.
B
Dry heat. But, like, honestly, it felt so good. Like.
A
Yeah. Do you even go outside?
B
Not much. And then of course, I'm like a plant.
A
Because you need to be outside.
B
Yeah. We went to Sphere. It's not the sphere, you know, it's Sphere. Yeah. No, you go to Sphere.
A
No, I don't like that.
B
But it's fear Vegas.
A
Okay.
B
So I don't know, maybe someone correct me, but that's what I was told. And so we got out of Sphere. Doesn't make sense. And there was like a. Everyone's waiting for the Ubers under a tent. And I literally was like, I'm gonna stand in the sun. Because when you're in Vegas, you're. All the hotels are connected.
A
You never see the sun. You don't have to go outside if you don't want.
B
You don't have to do. Not.
A
Like, actually, it's more likely you don't go outside.
B
I feel like then, yeah, definitely pool, I guess, like, party.
A
But that's, like, also connected to the hotel. Like, you really don't leave. You don't have to. Like, property. Yeah. And they really are all connected if you think about it. Do you ever think about the fact that they're all different? Like hotels, but they're all connected. I'm like. So they just all have, like, a handshake agreement. Like, look, it doesn't matter where you
B
stay, as long as you come to our casino. Just stay inside. Come to our casino at some point.
A
Money.
B
Or they all have, like, different shows and stuff.
A
So true.
B
Guess what I found out.
A
What did you find out?
B
Magic Mike is in Vegas, obviously. It's coming to New York next year, like on Broadway.
A
Or, like, where does it go? Magic Mike on Broadway?
B
Well, you know, there's Magic Mike Live right now. And you saw the Thunder Down.
A
Is that still a thing?
B
I think so. But this. There's a Magic Mike one there, too. I just, like, love that movie because obviously I'm a girl, but also because of the dancing. And so I feel like the show is really good and I really wanted to see it while I was there, but I was also with my manager, and we were both kind of like, hmm, maybe not. Like, it just didn't feel, like, the right vibe.
A
Wait, so. So you didn't go?
B
So we didn't go, but she was like, it's in New York. I said, no, it's not. And then I looked. It's coming to New York next.
A
I need to know where. Like, it's a residency. Like, they're doing, like, a magic residency somewhere. Probably not. I need to know.
B
Brooklyn, Right in your neck of the woods.
A
Stop.
B
Like, how fun would that be if you're doing a bachelorette in New York City?
A
No, that is fun. But it's like, the Magic Mike show is more of, like, a shit. Like, it's really not. Yeah, no, it's like, more of a dance show.
B
Yes, I do believe. I do believe. So that's why I think it's.
A
Even though we sound ridiculous saying that, like, really. No, it's not dance.
B
It's.
A
It's about the art. Yeah. It doesn't matter what they look like. They're great dancers.
B
Who cares about the ab? Forget that. Oh, yeah, they're training. Hits New York City soon. Oh, the cast came out, like, big cast.
A
List is up.
B
Gotta check out.
A
That's so funny.
B
Wow, this is incredibly exciting. And do they, like.
A
Like, is that the type. Because Thunder down under, they, like, touch people in the audience. Do they do that with Magic Max or no? Yeah, there's like. Yeah, it's like. There's like a splash zone, like, where you, like. You know, I call it that because it's like, there's seats, literally, where it's like, I'm okay with being touched. And then there's, like, seats that, like, I do not want to be touched. I sat on one that I do not want to be touched. Because, you know, you're engaged to be married.
B
I guess you weren't at the time.
A
I wasn't. But everybody's watching you get touched is the thing.
B
Yeah.
A
So, like, you're just watching, you know, people from literally all over, and you're just like, oh, okay, this is how you act when you like.
B
Yeah. People are watching you. It's very intimate. It's very intimate. It is. I feel like they do touch, if I had to guess. But maybe it's like. You can decide. Okay. Magic Mike Live will be located at 268 West 47th Street.
A
I don't know if that means something.
B
I know it does. Yeah. I don't know. It used to be. I. I don't know, but I'm very, very excited. Oh, in fall?
A
This fall. Okay, well, cozy up with your sweater and your PSL and magic mic.
B
Love that for us.
A
Cozy up. Oh, like it, y'.
B
All. Now I'm excited for fall.
A
Oh, nothing like it.
B
Nothing like cozy.
A
Magic mic. Wait, so what did you do in Vegas? Well, Daniel went to Vegas, by the way, if we didn't say, I went
B
to Vegas, but I need to talk about what I did before that.
A
Okay.
B
I went to my college town. Our college town.
A
Oh my gosh. You had a jam packed weekend bus club, like another club.
B
I. I knew what I was doing when I said, okay, I'm gonna go to this. We're basically calling it a five year college reunion is what we decided. That was. We were all like, what do we call this? Like, what are we doing? And then I decided to go to Vegas from there. So, you know, that was a lot, but it was so, so fun. But I. I have decided something and it's nothing to offend anyone I was with or anything. We slept in the sorority house. I can't believe I willingly did.
A
Yeah, you. And you were like, look, I'm doing. Everybody else is doing it. I'm doing it. To be clear, our sorority house was a little different.
B
Yes. It's like apartments. I never lived in it, but Brooke did.
A
I did for one semester and then I made it and then I had to go.
B
I was like, I didn't have brought up here.
A
Yeah, no, it was not for me. That environment with like so many people. Even though it's different, it's. It is divided up into apartment. It was an old like assisted living facility, basically, which kind of like made sense to me because it was apartments. But there was a communal area.
B
Yes. So what hasn't changed a bit? Let me tell you. Yeah, it smells the same.
A
Very different than other sorority places though, because like those are like bunks, like sleep away camp vibes, like where it's like a room full of like beds.
B
Yes.
A
And then like the common spaces and
B
they're right, you know, it's more like dorm style. Truly yeah, this was. This is dorm style in the sense that you're in the same room as you, your roommate. Like, you sleep in the same.
A
Not the same bed, same bed.
B
You know, beds next to each other. But then, yeah, there's, like, you have your own kitchen and living room. That was, like, a big draw for people for this house. Yes, I think.
A
But there's nothing in it. So you guys go in there.
B
I mean, bare bones.
A
So what is it? Just a bed.
B
Just a bed. And they provided us. We, like, paid a very small fee, basically, to, like, cover the cleaning and stuff, because I think girls are literally moving in next week for the rush.
A
Stop. That's giving Follows tomorrow.
B
That is giving falls tomorrow. Remember? We would go so early.
A
Like, that was still summer.
B
That was crazy. But, yeah. So they gave us paper towels and toilet paper.
A
How generous.
B
How generous. And I was not about to travel with pillows, so my friends that lived in Georgia brought pillows. They brought me towels. I did buy, like, a sheet sleep sack. And then Delaney and I both bought, like, $10 blankets at Target. They're very nice and soft. But I was just like, I feel like I'm just getting sick. Just like. Like, I just, like.
A
Yeah.
B
And you were talking about the mirrors. Oh, my God. Getting ready. I don't know. I just think. And I'm sorry, but I think at this age of 27, like, I don't want to live like that.
A
I'm not meant to live an uncomfortable life.
B
That's how I felt this weekend. And we had so much fun. We were all laughing about it, and it wasn't just me. We were all like, wow, okay. I think I've outgrown this. But it was so fun to, like, all sleep in the same room and. Or, you know, the same few apartments and go out and just, like, be silly. The house mom was there. Like, house mom.
A
So it's not the one that we had.
B
No. She retired years ago, but we were, like, texting with her.
A
That's sweet.
B
And it just. That. That part was fun. But it was also Athens in the summer, and so, like, no one was. I, like, knew all this going into it.
A
Yeah.
B
But it was really cool to see so many of the girls that I haven't seen in forever.
A
Oh, that's nice.
B
So. But I was like, I think that's it for me. Do a hotel. Yeah. But I was really grateful that we got to stay there. For sure. It was. That was, like, a big draw for all of us to want to go, because it just felt like, oh, it and this is, like, why we're doing it.
A
Yeah. Yeah.
B
But. Yeah, no, I'm. I'll be in a hotel. You're good. You're like.
A
Anyways, that was great.
B
Yeah. I found out one of our friend's moms, she was a Katie at Georgia, and, like, does this.
A
What do you mean? Does?
B
Like, she. It's like a thing.
A
These, like, does a reunion trip.
B
Yeah. And stays in the KD house every year. I thought we were doing something special, but, like, a lot of people do it every. Every few summers, I think, is what I heard.
A
My grade didn't do it, and, you know, I'm. I'm okay. I think that we've also maybe aged out of it.
B
Yeah. I think it's because these few girls, like, organized it. Yeah. And they really had it on, and it was so nice of them, honestly. And they, like, set up surprises, dance on tables. So fun. So that was cool.
A
It seems like it was a nice time. I like the yearbook, the throwback composite. The composite pictures did us dirty, though. Can we talk about that?
B
Those weren't even our freshman year ones. I think those were our sophomore junior. Like, I couldn't even show the freshman year.
A
No. And I feel like every year they would just come out so bad. I would just be like, whatever. Like, it's never going to capture me in a good light, so I'm just going to give up.
B
I should have taken a picture of yours. I saw you. Oh, really? I should have, like, sent you a little photo.
A
Oh, that's so funny.
B
I should have put you in my video.
A
Yeah. Then. And now.
B
Then and now.
A
Yeah, you could have.
B
Oh, I didn't even think to do that. But it's so funny. Of course they have. Like, when you first walk in, it's like the one with Meg Maroney. Oh, you know.
A
Wait, the composite that she's on.
B
Yeah. Obviously she's in a few.
A
Which was, like, when she was a senior. When she was.
B
I was on it, so. Oh, maybe. Maybe when. Maybe it was my freshman or when I was a sophomore. Whatever.
A
Yeah.
B
So you would have.
A
No, I wasn't. If it was when I was a senior, I would be on it. And then you would. And you would. Wait. Yeah. If it was when I was a junior or.
B
Yeah, you would have been on it. If it's one of those. That would be the big Three. Like, then it's like the Katie. Oh, are we the big three?
A
In my mind, I have. I'm delirious. Like, I'm actually not okay, though. Like, I called myself famous the other day. People were like, like, you are actually smoking crack. Like, you actually. Like, I'm not. I know. I was like, no, actually, I'm not. Okay.
B
Have we talked about your main character syndrome?
A
It's been so bad. Like, so, so bad. I actually should seek therapy about it.
B
Like, I. I think that just means you're feeling confident and good in yourself and you deserve that. So let's see.
A
That's. I'm literally like, you know, I would walk in, I see Danielle Carolyn, Meg Maroney, and Brooke Mitchell.
B
Oh, they got the big three over here. I mean, hey, I'm not.
A
No, there were others that graduated. Well, like, Meg. I feel like people, like, know her friends now. Meg, My friend Meg. No, people, like, know her friends now and stuff though.
B
Yeah. Natalie King.
A
Yeah. No, I feel like they, like, do stuff together. Like, I feel like it's like, you know, there's groups that are known. Yeah, known groups.
B
No tool. I mean, people would like, look at Megan. Natalie's like, frat beach outfits and Halloween costumes. They were like iconic in college.
A
Tumblr, Pinterest.
B
Tumblr, Pinterest, yeah. All the things. Oh, college. Hey. I have to say though, I met a lot of listeners and it was the summer and I was like, I still. I think it'd be cool to do something else. And they go in Athens. But we would need people to really say they're gonna be there. Because if we did something in Athens and no one shows up, like, I know that's your fear.
A
No, that would be my biggest fear. Because I'm like, I, I. In my mind, I'm like the big three. That's literally how I think. But, you know, and then no one shows up. I'm like, wow, I'm a fucking. No. But I. How old are they? Like, are they college students?
B
One girl was a freshman. I was like, she was doing Fresh co. I was like, I feel so relevant.
A
You're saying all these things, like, unlocked, like the composite. Like, even just that phrase. I'm like, oh, you mean the pictures on the wall.
B
We went to Silver Dollar Bar. It was really fun.
A
Oh, that's so fun.
B
Oh, and hedges. Do you remember that?
A
Yeah.
B
It was like this nightclub. It is now a line dancing bar. Yeah, you would have loved it. Because it wasn't like to country music, actually.
A
It looked enormous.
B
Enormous. We had like a club, our own area, sectioned off area.
A
They teach you.
B
Yeah. But it was very difficult. I was also in flip flop peels. Like, I didn't have enough room to pack my cabinet.
A
That's okay. It's not. Wasn't the right setup.
B
It was not the right setup. But that definitely was really fun. I. I saw. You saw my tick tock about how I doordashed a bikini.
A
Yeah. Wanted to.
B
We had an opportunity to go to a pool. Yeah. And I was. And my mom. This is. You know, your mom has your rule. Her rules. Yeah, my mom has a rule. No matter where you're going, always pack a swimsuit. You're never going to regret it for her. And I usually do. I have that back of my mind. And I just didn't. I don't know what I was thinking because I was going to Athens, but I didn't really think I was going to be in Vegas. But Vegas would be good. Especially because I knew we were doing a spa outing. Yeah.
A
There's saunas and pool.
B
There's saunas and I saunaed and pooled. I didn't drink a lick of alcohol in Vegas. I was only there for 24 hours.
A
But hey, I felt like my kind of trip. Yeah. You're like, wait, I could do this?
B
Yeah. It was really nice. I just like, didn't want to. It was kind of more wellness focused because the spa. Oh, my gosh.
A
In Vegas in the same sentence, crazy work. That's wild.
B
How dare you.
A
It was a wellness
B
trip. Very, very good. But no, I've decided. Do you know those, like. I don't know, is it ergonomic chairs where it's like.
A
Oh, yeah. That you like? It's like. It looks like a recliner.
B
Kind of looks like a recliner, but it like.
A
Yeah, it's like a cheese. Yeah, it's a chase. Is that what it's called? Chase?
B
Yeah, they called them. I asked chatgpt. I took a photo of them. I was like, what is this amazing thing? Yeah. As soon as I sat in it. Your whole body. It almost feels like there's no pressure at all anywhere.
A
Okay.
B
I need one of these in my apartment. Too big and too expensive. They're lumbar lounges. Okay.
A
Okay, Good to know.
B
But anyways, so that was your.
A
On your wellness focus trip. So you packed. So you had to get a bikini Door dash.
B
Yes. Sorry. Back to that. Yeah. So we had an opportunity to go to this pool. It was like this girl that is from Athens in our pledge class. We all. It was just like Saturday in Athens, really hot day. What are we supposed to do? Because we had night plans. So she was like, I have a pool. We can Go to. We were all so excited. I didn't have a bathing suit and I thought, you know, I'm going to doordash a bikini. Why not? So I found this really cute brown string bikini. Like, looked like it was skims. Ordered it, and then of course, they had to substitute one. Like the bottoms, they didn't have the right color. So then I'm messaging him. Oh, my gosh.
A
Could you just.
B
If you're gonna swap it out for the green bottoms, could you swap it out for the green top? So, yeah, I'm sorry, the app won't let me. But I. I did green because, you know, earth tones.
A
I was like, you're trying his best. Did you. So you literally just got the bikini, nothing else?
B
And some sunscreen. Pool day starter, full day starter kit. I. I've always been an uber eats girl, but doordash is. I've been having fun with options. I feel like, like, clothing and stuff. One time I door dashed a Nicks hat.
A
You know, that's. Wow. Yeah, I've done like, tech stuff, like an SD card or whatever.
B
That's cool too. Oh, yeah. I was with you when you did that.
A
We did the square reader for the live show. We. I or I, we needed, like, we use this thing when we do our live shows. We do ads for it. We love it. And it's like, you guys probably pay with it at, like, coffee shops and stuff. But we needed another. An extra device and I was like, we need tomorrow.
B
Was it from Best Buy or something?
A
Yeah.
B
Like, genius AirPods.
A
People do Sephora on those.
B
I do Sephora. That's on overeats, though. Wedding season.

Wedding season. And I feel like you think about your outfit for the wedding. Like, you think about, you know, the dress you're gonna wear and everything, but this always happens to me. I'm like, running out the door for the wedding. I'm like, oh, I don't have a purse. Like, I don't have, like, that perfect little wedding. Yes. Like, the finishing touches, like, the accessories. Like, why am I not thinking about that?
B
Because you're literally holding it the whole time too. And that's where vivrel comes in. And it will absolutely change your life. This summer, I'm about to head to the south of France. We already know. Yeah, just, I'm headed to the south of France and I'm like, vivrel. That's the first stop I'm going to. Because they have the most beautiful bags. They have this, like, they have these bags that seriously, I would quite literally Never buy. But it's the perfect accessory. If you don't have a relia, you're missing out. It's a members only club where you can experience designer bags and jewelry. The closet's insane. They've got Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dior, all the brands that I feel like we dream about, truly.
A
So the way that it works is once you're accepted into the club, you pick the piece that you want to borrow and it shows up at your doorstep. It feels surreal. It feels like you're doing like a designer bag unboxing. But basically you are, you know, taking it and using it for as long as you want. Cuz there's no return date. So if you like love a piece, you know, you could have it month over month or you could swap monthly if you're ready for something new.
B
Yes. No, I mean we've been using Virel since we moved to New York. Not that that's just when I learned about it, but it's amazing because no matter where you are, you can borrow a bag. Vill also gave us such an amazing offer just for our listeners that you definitely don't want to miss. Use Code Gals when you apply and get your first month of membership free.

This episode is brought to you by Hint. Water Water. I have been on a water kick. I can't lie. I'm realizing the difference in myself when I feel more hydrated, that's for sure. And Hint Water makes it really easy because I feel like, you know, there's a little, a little hint of some sort of taste so it doesn't make it as boring. I gotta be real.
A
I feel like you're talking about like travel routines and. Yeah, whatever. And I feel like honestly staying hydrated with, with a little hint of fun is like, that's like a great way to like, hey, you're doing something good for yourself. Yeah, right.
B
They have so many different flavors. I personally love the great flavor. Like I love grape flavored anything. So I was really excited when Hint had. It's just like a little hint. There's also BlackBerry, which is very yummy.
A
I'm a pineapple fan.
B
I also feel like you really like the watermelon You've told me this before. Yeah. Little hint of water.
A
It's like so summer.
B
It's so summer. And it's just, it's. It's really just excited. I get very excited to drink my hint water. We absolutely love it. It's just that subtle taste, the crisp water with a delicate whisper of fruit that honestly just makes you want another sip. So hint has no sugar, no sweeteners and no calories. Just water with fruit essences. Water that makes you crave water. Try hint. Now available online@drink hint.com and in stores nationwide. Hint water. I rediscovered the slick back this week. You know, it's so humid out here in New York City and it looks
A
great, I have to say. Thank you. It's like the perfect amount of slick. Like, it's like, but you still. It's not like glued to, like, right. It's like the way you do yours.
B
Thank you. Thank you so much. I like it to look slick, but also like there's some movement, a little lived in, you know. And I have to say, the got 2B wax stick is. I mean, you gotta have it. You got to be. Because you can use it for the slick styles. But also if you're going to the gym, I hate like you like, especially if you're in a workout class where you can see yourself. I'm sorry, like, I don't want to see all the flyaways. It's just, it's not for me. This wax stick is designed for mess free, anytime, anywhere use. It also delivers this very long lasting but also flexible holds. Kind of what Brooke was saying. Like, I like that this is a flexible hold. It doesn't look like so to my scalp and it doesn't have that crunchy finish. Like, I'll take this out and I can brush through my hair and it feels nice, which is huge today.
A
It's so humid outside too. So I love that something like this, like helps to sort of lock out that humidity. But it also like tames the frizz. So it just keeps your styles like sleek and smooth.
B
Yeah. And honestly, I was having an ugly day. I felt gross with my hair down. And honestly, I felt so empowered as soon as I put my hair up. I don't know, I just felt more snatched and I just knew I had my got to be wax stick. It's just, it's a nice feeling to have. I don't know if you ever do that with like slick backs. It feels good.
A
It's easy to throw in your bag too. Like you know, maybe the day takes a turn and you want to do a little slick back.
B
Hey, maybe it starts raining on you and you gotta slick your hair back. You're absolutely right. So be slick with the. Got 2B wax stick. Visit Got2B US for more information.
A
I feel like weddings are definitely on our mind. I mean, we have. We've, like, the wedding of, like, the century coming up. At least that's what Danielle and I do. And I feel like every time I get an invite in the mail and. And it's just like a beautiful, like, invitation suite. Like, it has all of the bells and whistles, you know, the multiple pieces of paper. The stationary is gorgeous. I just know it's fermented. Like, absolutely. I've actually been already looking at Minted for my wedding because there's also, like, other wedding events I have, you know, an engagement party and stuff like that. And I've already found some amazing designs that I would like to use for all of our wedding events. Everyone who uses Minted just speaks so highly about it.
B
No, I know my friend's planning her wedding as well, and she actually was like, I have a call, because she had a. They have a concierge team that will literally help you design everything for your event, like the invitations, the signage, the place cards, all of it. And it's free, which is honestly wild because obviously, like, I've been learning from you how expensive weddings can be in the fact that if already getting the. Everything from. Into the free concierge team, that's, like, unheard of.
A
I feel like, like, my concierge is on the line.
B
Yeah.
A
They also have really fun custom shapes too, which I love for, like, that part of that invitation suite. So you can do, you know, like a martini glass or, like, a cowboy boot. Everything feels, like, so personal and just, like, less traditional, which I like. I don't. It doesn't need to be so formal. I want a little whimsy, you know?
B
Whimsy.
A
Yes. And one of the biggest perks is. Is huge. Minted will print all of your guest addresses directly on the envelopes for free. You know, Danielle and I don't like to handwrite anything, so that is, like, seriously such a game changer. We're. We're minted girlies. I mean, like, just as. It just makes the guest experience better. Okay.
B
It does.
A
So use code GALS for 20 off your order at Minted. That's code GALS for 20 off for weddings, parties, stationary, gifts, art, and more. Isn't that so crazy that you could just get anything and it doesn't matter where you are. Be in Athens. You could be.
B
It's like, like Uber. Eating Sephora is so dangerous. I wonder if it's everywhere, if it's just in like big cities. I. I don't know this, honestly, but that would be really nice. I'm just looking at my notes.
A
So what else did you do in college Town?
B
Oh, yeah, that's about all. I. I had all these plans to do all these videos. Like Delaney and I were gonna make all these like roomy videos. I just didn't have it in me. I was hung over to the gods on Saturday morning just because we went to Paulie's and.
A
Yeah, it'll get you.
B
It'll get you those Man Moses and the Obams, so. But we did walk north campus, those million dollar steps, you know, up and down. We went to the bookstore. I was just hot and bothered. Like, I just, I was unwell, so. But it was. It was really, really fun. Just, Just like, good to like sit in a living room and laugh with a ton of people I've seen in a while. And then from there I flew to Vegas for an opportunity I had with Sphere, actually. Which you're doing too, maybe.
A
Yeah, yeah. Eventually, when I make it over there
B
and make it over the big. Over to the other coast, I just like saw a wind of opportunity. My manager met me there, which was really fun, but it was so funny. I landed and I was super delayed and we had this gondola ride planned. So I literally got there quickly changed and we got on a gondola ride, which was fun. Never done that, the gondola ride.
A
Did you stay in that hotel?
B
State of the Nation, Hotel Lovely. I've stayed there a few times now, actually randomly, because I went there another time. Ryan and I stayed there. That was peak luxury because I'm coming from the sorority house. I literally, verbally, when I walked into my hotel room, I go, oh, yeah, you're just released. Luxury, like a big queen bed, the hotel room to myself. I was just.
A
So you guys didn't share a room? I was gonna ask that.
B
Share room? No, no, you got your own. We did get our own individual rooms.
A
I was gonna. I was gonna ask about that. Some people, like, travel with their managers. That's actually a whole thing. And they like, you know them do like, they go and they do everything and.
B
Yeah, it's.
A
This was your first trip.
B
Like those.
A
Are you together?
B
It was really cute. She kept like forgetting my hotel room number. So when I was Time to meet, like, in the hallway. She would just be like, danielle, Danielle,
A
come out, come out.
B
It became a joke. So very funny. But no, it was really fun to spend quality time with her. And she goes to Vegas all the time, so she just, like, knows all the spots.
A
That's awesome.
B
So that was good. I. I felt like she was my mom because my flight was so delayed. She went to the Carbone. There's a Carbone there on one of the hotels. Yes, in the Bellagio, I think. And so she, like, got me spicy rigatoni. And it was. She was. Had it waiting for me. It was very nice.
A
Oh, that's so nice.
B
Oh, I know. She was like, I'm at Carbon. What pasta do you want? I was like, I could just get to me at the airport. She goes, no, I'm offering you Carbone. Like, take it.
A
So she went by herself to Carbone.
B
She had a friend. She's got friends. And the wrestling. So she met up. She was with a friend and she just, like, had a blast until I got there. And so they did that. I was going to say something. Oh, I feel like we could both talk about this. This is my next topic. I want to talk about also, guys, I don't know if I said this, but I literally took a red eye flight from Vegas last night and I landed.
A
It's so impressive. A few hours now.
B
Yeah, no, but it's like, you know when you're like have that adrenaline, like.
A
Yeah, you're still going. Like, are you going to do. Hopefully after this you don't have plans
B
and you can relax for Lola. Blanket is waiting for me.
A
I would love that for you.
B
Oh, my God. The rest of five Star weekend. I'm so into it right now. Did you finish it?
A
Yes, I finished it.
B
Is it eight episodes or 10?
A
I know.
B
That blows. It's so good.
A
No, Jennifer Garner put her whole everything into that roll.
B
Let's see. I don't remember a lot of it. Like, I didn't remember a lot of things.
A
Like the big twist. Did you remember the big.
B
No, actually, no. No, I didn't remember the big twist. I remember Gigi. There was something with Gigi, but I can't remember and I forgot her. Is her daughter in the book there? Yeah, she must, because it's a big part of the show.
A
Yes, there was. Yeah, there was definitely stuff, maybe not as prevalent, but the daughter was mentioned.
B
Okay. Yeah, the daughter was mentioned. Daughter mentioned.
A
Yeah, because it was like they had a kid together.
B
Yeah, no, that would make sense. But, like, without spoiling anything. Like the photo memories thing. How the. Yes, that wasn't in the book. No, that's more like techie.
A
Yeah, 2020.
B
I like it because that's so realistic. I loved it. But. Okay, this is what I want to talk about. And I'm sure we've talked about this in the past, but like, I had a full blown crash out this weekend on my flight. Like when I was waiting for my flight from Atlanta to Vegas. And I've had these thoughts before. I feel like when you travel a lot, you have these thoughts. But I was like, I need to figure out an on the go routine. Because when we travel as much as we do, especially with the things we do, like we were in the Hamptons and we're doing, it's all really fun things, you know, I think of some of my friends that travel for work. It's like they almost like. I was talking to my friend, she has her own routine. She's like, I stay at the same hotels, I go to the gym in the hotel. Like, she doesn't treat like vacation. We're so grateful. Like, we get to do these really cool things. And so sometimes I kind of forget. And I was just like, I need to figure out something that I do when I'm traveling. Like, non negotiables. Do you ever have these thoughts?
A
Yeah, definitely. Especially when I'm like, oh, my God, my body's a trash can. I mean, after like a bender. Like, I'm like, yeah, it was like that. The routine. Yeah, yeah. Gotta clean it up.
B
Yeah.
A
No, I definitely am trying to figure that out too. Like the last trip, like, you know, they put snacks in the room. I ate the entire sleeve of Oreos. I was like, I'm treating this like vacation. It's a Tuesday. Like, I. I know that it was
B
like, yeah, coming off of. We were in the Hamptons. Yes. I had those. You know, we had the cheeses. And it's like hard to. It's hard to figure out, like, okay, this is work. But it's also fun.
A
The balance of, like enjoying the opportunities you have, you're presented with, but also being like, okay, if this, this. Which it's a weird realization to be like, oh, I guess this is my life. Because we're treating everything like it's an opportunity. But it does to a certain. At a certain point, it becomes your life.
B
Well, I think Alex Earl, yeah, her
A
life is an opportunity.
B
Her whole life. She literally, in a packing video recently was like, I'm packing just in case someone invites me Somewhere it's real. And that's so real for her to say. But I'm thinking I would love to sit Alex, roll down and be like, so. Because I do. I mean, she has a rocking body and I feel like she, she is really active and she, I mean, she's just one person. But I think of all these people that traveled a lot of our friends.
A
So true. Like, yeah, like, how do you maintain abs? And like, you know, Bridget and Daniel, I feel like they just, they are like 80, 20. And I feel like when they're on the go, they live their life. And when they're here, they grind. That's what I see at least.
B
So you think when they travel, they just have fun?
A
I think that they maybe, like, do some cardio, whatever, but they're not like, you know, hitting two workout classes a day like the trainer. I feel like when they're here, they go 110. Like they are.
B
Yeah. Every day, you know, they're grocery shopping, cooking at home. Well, no, but then they go out to eat.
A
But like, I feel like they eat so healthy during the day. I feel like they embody like 80, 20.
B
Like, they really do. Like, they're very like, yeah, no, you're absolutely right. They, and they're just so disciplined. Like, those girls are amazing. I just, they are.
A
And they wake up early. I, I, so I feel like I can. Not that I know they're ins and outs of their routine.
B
No.
A
But I do wonder, like, is she, how does she have such chiseled abs while drinking that much? That's my question.
B
Yeah. Not that this is the same person at all, but I was on a brand trip with Sally one time, who's her best friend, which I assume they
A
feel like they must, they must be the same like us.
B
Obviously the same. But I was so inspired by her because we were in Rhode island, it was a little cold. And every morning she's like, if anyone wants to join, I'm gonna go for a long, like an hour long walk, get my coffee and. And I remember she was just so focused on, like, protein and like, she just, I was like, and. But she was still drinking and having fun. But she was like, no, no, can we, like, we were ordering. She was like, can we please get like a steak or like, something. I just remember noticing that. And it's just like, okay, maybe they're just really mindful of those decisions and even just the morning movement. So then I'm like asking AI. I'm like, this is my lifestyle. This is what I do. What are the easiest things? And of course it's like, wake up. Don't look at your phone. I was like, all right, okay.
A
Anything else?
B
Yeah, anything else. But it is like, obviously, like it said, you know, just. Even just a morning coffee walk, which sounds so simple. But I wish I did that. Like this weekend when I was in Athens. Like, I wish I just got up and went for a walk. Even though it's like, oh, I want to rot with my friends. No. Like, I need to just be more disciplined with myself. Because even maybe they're not traveling as much like I am. So I need to have that.
A
I know what you mean. Yeah.
B
Oh my God. Because I just felt like a piece of garbage.
A
I feel like that's what like. Like a lot of moms do. Like when they wake up early before the kids, like, you know, and they're like, I gotta get my workout in early. Because it's like. And they just make it work like fit moms. I feel like they just make it work in their life. You're like, oh my gosh. How do you maintain everything? It's like, absolutely. You just do.
B
No, I know. I had this crash out to my mom on the phone on Sunday and she was like, danielle, don't you realize, like, when you would wake up, I had already, like, done. And like, not like, she's like, I
A
already had a whole day. Like, yeah.
B
Or even when we're at our family reunion in Illinois, she was so. I mean, also, like, that's the thing. I'm like, I'm not getting up at 5am though, because I'm staying up late because I want to play cards with the cousins or whatever. And family reunion.
A
She.
B
But she was like going to bed early and she still got up. And so it's like finding that balance. If I could wake up. If we could wake up earlier and get like so much done before everyone else is up. But then you have to go to bed earlier. And then that's when I want to hang out with Ryan. See my crash out.
A
I was like, no, it's hard. I've had a good week with early wake ups. And it really does change your day. It feels so good to just like. But then I'm in bed, like fully sleeping by 10, like 9:30. 10, which is really early, like, if you really think about it.
B
And it's nice because. Is Ben doing that too now?
A
Yeah, even earlier. So then I'm like, okay, it's time to wind down. Like 7:30. I'm like, we literally eat dinner and like wind down.
B
Maybe I need to have a talk with Ryan and be like, look, we both have to go into better.
A
So much easier when you do it with someone. Or like if you. If you live with roommates and you're all. Because if you're on opposite schedules with your roommate, even if you don't like share direct room. I mean, in college it was so hard. I feel like having like. And you just fall into each other's patterns because you're kind of like, okay, well I guess we, you know, there's people out in the kitchen till this time. Like, you have fomo.
B
Yeah, I. I'm a queen of fomo. Like, it so difficult because. But also, what time does Ben get home from work? We've already talked about this.
A
It varies. When he's on call, it's late, like 7 or 8. But he like literally showers, eats and goes to bed. Like, it's actually like.
B
So he'll just go. He's so disciplined like that. Wow, that's amazing.
A
But sleep, he. He's like, sleep is.
B
He needs it. Yeah, he really needs y.
A
So tired. Like I think he could just fall asleep, but he's like, probably should eat dinner.
B
Like, you know, probably should eat dinner.
A
Yeah. But you need time to digest after dinner. Like, it's hard.
B
I know. See? And I. Because I feel for Ryan. He comes home every day basically 7:30 to 8:30. And then he comes home and he makes dinner. But he doesn't want to go. Right. But he's like, I want to watch Breaking Bad and like chill the out for a second.
A
Yeah.
B
Which I completely understand. So. And he deserves that and he deserves it.
A
Yeah.
B
So I'm just. If any of you guys have any tips on any of these things, I've just said, please give him my way. I. I was motivated when I was in Vegas after my Sunday crash out. Monday morning I woke up, I went down to the gym at 7:30. Also though, that's like 10:30 to me. But I love it.
A
That's okay.
B
I was on the treadmill for 30 minutes and it was the best start to the day. I was like responding to emails and doing stuff. It's like, okay, I could sit on the couch and do this, or you could be on the treadmill at the same time. And I really didn't feel anxious at all that day. Like, you just feel so good when you're.
A
Yes.
B
I. I feel like we both have moved to like morning workouts for sure. But if I could do even earlier sometimes I do those 6:45 with Ryan. I just feel so amazing.
A
It's hard to get out of bed. It's like, it's hard to get out of bed and go right to a workout. I know people like, just. They're like, just put on your workout clothes and do it. Like, I could wake up early knowing that I have a slow morning, though.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, I woke up, I feel like today in the 6 o' clock hour. But I knew that, like the first hour of the day was slow.
B
Yes.
A
And that was enjoyable for me. That's so enjoyable to like, wait.
B
Speaking of, I want to hear about your run club.
A
Oh, my run club that didn't run.
B
That's what I want to hear.
A
Yeah, well, okay.
B
It wasn't your fault.
A
So it was like the crazy. We were driving back from the Hamptons and we saw the smoke coming from, like the wildfires in Canada, which happened a few, like two years ago.
B
Yeah, too.
A
So I was like, no, no, no. But I'm big on air quality. Like, I have the air purifiers. I feel like you do too, in your house. Like, right?
B
Yeah. But you're so dry. Because you were like, danielle, what number is it at right now?
A
Yeah, no, because it's, it's. It's serious.
B
It is serious, serious.
A
Not actually, like, it was going to be okay if it's like one day, but if it's like many days. You know, someone said it's like equivalent to smoking however many cigarettes. People are like, okay, like, whatever else. But I, I understand what they're saying. Like, if you're heavily breathing it in, like, it's kind of unnecessary. The air was like, just thick.
B
It was.
A
So then I was. I. I had planned. If you guys didn't know, I was like doing a run club with the brand, which. A few listeners came, was really, really so nice.
B
They were so shout out.
A
And I texted them the night before. I was like, hey, just making sure, like. Cause I was getting some messages like, you know, with the smoke situation, like, are we still on?
B
Yeah.
A
And they were like, yeah, still on. Still on. And then like the morning I woke up, like super early because I wanted to eat a full breakfast because it's hot outside and we're running and everything. And I was like, you know, okay, just making sure we're on. Literally like 30 minutes before I'm about to leave the door. They were like, so. So we're still gonna meet up and pass out, you know, bars. But, like, the run part is optional, like, because of, because of the weather. Situation.
B
Yeah. You don't want, like.
A
So no worries. Like, you know, no worries. So I took that as the run. When the run is canceled, like, you know, I was. Oh, I'd be like, okay. The run, okay.
B
Oh, yeah.
A
Oh, so I'm just handing out the RX bars. That's. Yeah, that's totally fine.
B
Get to meet people and chat.
A
Yeah. Yeah. Which I was like, okay, say less. I mean, I was like, at this point, I had, like, psyched myself up to run and everything, but I was like, I mean, if the run's optional, it probably isn't safe to run, Right. I show up, everybody's running. Every single person's running. There was not one person who did this thing that I did. But maybe it's just because this group, it's a recurring run club that, like, meets. So I was like. I think, like the guest speaker, almost like, you know what I mean?
B
Oh, but, like, your listeners, did they run?
A
Yeah, they came up after. They were like, we're all sweaty. I was like, oh, my God, guys. I didn't realize. Like, it was just.
B
So, wait, did you all meet up first? And then they said, ready to go?
A
Yeah, it was like a gathering. And it was like, hey, okay. Like, you know, thanks to our X bar for providing the bars today.
B
Yeah.
A
They asked me if I wanted to say anything. I honestly. I said no. Like, I didn't really. Especially. I wasn't running like that.
B
I was like, especially if it was, like, an existing run club.
A
Yeah.
B
In addition to the people that came
A
to talk, it was like, the founder of the Run club. I gave the speech. I was like, I'm not gonna say. Like, you know, I'm gonna get up
B
there and be like, fast.
A
Yeah. Go, team.
B
Yeah.
A
No, but I had already decided before I left the house. Like, I. I, like, you know, didn't do my hair as secure. Like, I was like, okay, I'll make it look a little bit better. Like, you know what I mean? Like, I just was like, okay, I'm gonna, you know, show up, whatever. But, yeah, everybody else still ran. There were, like. I think some people who just stopped by and, like, grabbed a bar or whatever. But it was.
B
So what'd you do? Did you chill till they were back?
A
Yeah, I just, like, hung out at the table. We did a little. I met. I, like, met the team. I felt like I was like. Like, you know, like the kid on the bench, like, being like, you know, I can't work out today. But you guys go.
B
Well, it's just funny because I Mean, I was with you all that week, and you were, like, so excited about it. You're like, no, I'm gonna wake up early, prep my. But then when it. As soon as it's like, oh, I don't think we're gonna do it, then your mind's there and it's not happening.
A
And I did, to be fair, also, like, Adam is, like, my. One of my running. And Adam was supposed to come, and he was texting me that morning. He was like, is it happening? And then I was like, oh, actually, like, it seemed. And he was like, I. I don't think. Like, he was trying to. He was letting me know, like, he didn't think it was good for me to run. Like, even earlier than that, he was like, I don't know. Like, it's probably not the best day for Iran.
B
Like, no, definitely wasn't.
A
Yeah, it was like.
B
The air was weird. I was there or not there, but.
A
No, you were there. So anyway, so I had an excused absence, and maybe I'll get him next time. It was a nice route. I would have, like, done the route and everything.
B
You were excited about it.
A
Yeah. No, so I feel bad that I.
B
No, wait, you shouldn't feel bad at all. I. I brought. Because I think it's so funny that everyone else still ran.
A
No, it was really funny. I was like, oh, guys, we're no worries. We're all. But, like, I guess. Why else would they show up? I guess, like, yeah, to get free product for sure. But at the same time, like, they probably. They have that 5am mentality.
B
Yeah, they do.
A
That's the difference of people. Like, there's us and then there's winners and there's losers.
B
That's what Freddie always says.
A
No, there is. There is. And honestly, I was a loser. Like, they showed up and they were all, like, ready to go. They're like, I gotta go home. You know, showered before. Like, I have work. I was like, you guys are boss. Like, that is boss. Boss.
B
Hugo boss.
A
Like, I was impressed. No, and they were so. They were like, real runners, too. Like, preparing for, like, the marathon, you know? I was like, oh, wow, the marathon. Yeah, I know.
B
It's amazing.
A
Yeah, it was really impressive.
B
Oh, thanks for sharing.
A
So that was my run club journey. But I did. I did go to a cool event, though, this week with Margot.
B
Oh, yeah?
A
Yeah.
B
You had a buzzy party.
A
I did. I went to a cool party and it was like.
B
Photos were cool.
A
It was cool.
B
In front of that back.
A
Yeah. And of course, it was one of those nights that I was like, obviously I was still gonna go, but I was like, you know, looking for any out. I was like, texting Ben. I was like, we don't have to go, by the way.
B
Like, it's.
A
It's a late night.
B
Yeah.
A
But we were like, okay, we're gonna. We're gonna stay up and do it. We went sober. Hey, going sober is fun. Sometimes.
B
It is.
A
It's the summer fun. But also, if, you know you have to be balanced, then you have. You know, you have to.
B
Well, exactly.
A
You know what I mean?
B
Just gotta amp the social battery up a little bit and you're good to go.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
It's a summer balance.
B
Summer.
A
Summer of fun.
B
But balanced.
A
But balanced fun. So it was a really cool event with. I guess it was Sports Illustrated.
B
Yeah.
A
EA Sports.
B
Yeah. That wasn't made clear.
A
Yeah, Yeah. I just was invited. Like, I. All I knew is Margo told me, like, hey, Diplo's DJing. And I was like, I'm up.
B
Okay.
A
Like, say less. I'm in.
B
Yes.
A
But I showed up and it was like an intimate. Like, I was expecting it to be like, you know, like a stage and like a corporate mansion, like, in, like, a big space, but it was so intimate. It to the point that at. At first it was just Ben and I on the dance floor. And like, he. Because we came pretty much right as he came on, but I was like, I. I feel like we should go over there. Like, it's too close. Like, it was just us two on the dance floor and we were, like, looking at each other. It was, like, so intimate.
B
And no one.
A
No one was dancing yet.
B
Yeah.
A
I was like, I'm prepared to start. Like, I can start this. I'll get the party going.
B
Yes.
A
But then, of course, it got, like, super.
B
It looked lit.
A
And then. Yeah. No. And everybody started throwing down. Margot Margo reaches across the DJ table to talk to Diplo. She's so.
B
She's lunging across.
A
She lunges across. Well, first she was, like, trying to get his attention, and he, like, I think you probably saw her, but, like, you know, she's like, hey, hey, hey, hey. And I was like, oof, that's tough. Then she, like, did it one more time, I guess, and she's like, hey. Because he had played like, one country song at that point. He has, like, a whole countryside. He.
B
He does. He performs a stagecoach most years.
A
Yes.
B
Like, after hours. And he's got Diplo's honky tonk.
A
I think he just likes country music. I Guess like, what's the, like.
B
Yeah, I guess so. He remixes a lot of it.
A
Yeah. He's just a big producer in general though. He does like a lot of pop.
B
You know, he's a classic, classic EDM guy.
A
Yeah.
B
Big classic dj.
A
I don't think I've ever actually seen him. Dj, now that I think about this might have been the first time.
B
Oh, I just figured you'd seen him before. Where did I see him before?
A

So last summer in the Hamptons, I got the amazing opportunity to have the Bobbi Brown do my makeup, which was like, so, so sick. Seriously, so crazy. And she actually used her entire brand Jones Road beauty on my face. And that's when I became obsessed with Jones Road. It really, I've talked about in the podcast before because I'm like, it lets her skin, like, shine truly, and it doesn't feel caked on. It's honestly perfect for summer or travel or like those occasions when you're just like, I want to, like, feel pretty and put together, but, like, you don't need the full bead down.
B
I've definitely had that feeling more recently. Like, I used to either be no makeup or all makeup, but recently I've been wanting kind of that in between.
A
Yeah, some days you want like a little. A little more coverage.
B
Yes.
A
But that's why I also love that the products are, like, very buildable. And I feel like so many of them are just built for, like, a very simple routine. They have a brand new foundation stick, but one of my favorite products that I absolutely love from them is the Miracle Balm. It replaces so many steps in your routine because you can use it as like a highlighter, a bronzer, a blush, a lip tint, literally is just like, use it wherever you want because they have no sulfates or no petroleum or anything. Like, they're just clean beauty.
B
It works with your skin and you don't need to use brushes. Like, you could literally just use your fingers and go, you know, when you're Euro summered, just pop it on in the back of the car like that at the beach. I love watching people do their makeup routines on the beach and stuff. Like, very satisfying. That's. This is perfect for that. And the foundation stick. I love a foundation stick. It just makes it so easy and it feels very weightless on your skin. And they also are available in 30 shades.
A
I absolutely love that. I. I feel like every product they have, it just like, it's very, like, intentionally released. And I know that she, Bobby does all of her research and like, really? Bobby? No, she really likes, like, she told me about, like the development of the products and I remember being like, wow, this is so like, they don't just like launch something, they are like testing it for years and like, really making sure it's perfect because I feel like they value the customer. So like Jones Road Beauty customers, like, it's a cult and, and we're part of it. We're.
B
We're part of it. Modern day makeup that's clean, strategic and multifunctional for effortless routines for limited time. Our listeners are getting a free full size mascara on their first purchase. When they use code GOTG that checkout, just head to Jones or roadbeauty.com and use code GOTG at checkout. After you purchase, they will ask you where you heard about them and please support our show and tell them we sent you. So I'm starting to get down to the wire with this big wedding we have coming up and I need, I need dresses, I need options and I need them fast. Like, and that's when I'm going straight to Revolve. I mean, it could be anything going in South France, you know, I need. All of a sudden I'm realizing I actually need another bikini. I need one more going out outfit. And oh my gosh, I just like, will forever thank Revolve. We were talking about Revolve the other day and how it's just forever going to be our go to.
A
Seriously, I, I feel like it's curated. It's not chaotic like the website. It's just so easy to browse. Yeah, the app, it's like one of the few shopping, like brand things that like, I actually use the app because I just feel like it's so easy to use when I always find myself in a pinch. Truly. The other day I placed a huge order on Revolve because they have amazing returns too. So you can like try on the things. Things.
B
I mean, you can't eat it.
A
Seriously. And I'm like going away and I just am like, hey, I want to have like a bunch of outfit options and I love like doing that order and then like trying out in the comfort of my own home. Like, Revolve. Just they get it.
B
My favorite hack and Revolve. I remember Shannon Ford actually told me this years ago to like, if there's an outfit you like, if you scroll or let's say there's a dress you love, if you scroll down, it shows similar options and then you can also click like, view a hundred more or something. And there are so many. Let's say you're looking at. At red dresses. It shows you a ton more red dresses in that similar silhouette or whatever.
A
It revolves.
B
Very smart.
A
Yeah. Just truly. And I feel like they're, for me, like, it's a really great way to discover new brands too. I feel like you're always, like, on the cutting edge with brands.
B
Like, seriously, am I cool?
A
Do you find them on? Yeah. Hey, you are cool. You find them on Revolve.
B
I feel like that's where it is. It's like, okay, perfect. So whether it's a big night out, a wedding, a summer trip, or you just need something last minute, that actually, actually works. Revolve always has it. Go to Revolve.com gals to shop our faves and use code GALS for 15 off your first order. Fast shipping, easy returns. It just makes everything easier. That's Revolve.com gals. You can shop our faves and get 15 off your first order. Offer ends August 12th, so don't miss out.
A
As we stated, summer's not over. So we're actually just in the middle of summer.
B
Yes, and I'll stand by that, actually. And actually, Delaney and I were traveling last weekend together and we were straight up, like, looking for a Duncan because we both wanted refreshers because it was so hot outside and we need a refresher.
A
Oh, my gosh. You're making me crave it right now. Should we go after this? It's so, like, humid outside. All I want and it's like midday. Actually. This is the perfect time.
B
This is the perfect time to get a refresher time. It's a fresher time and we also deemed it. I think it's a refresher summer. Like, everything's coming up refresher. I feel it's so true.
A
So Duncan is helping everyone stay cool this summer with their lineup of refreshers. The drinks are packed with bold, fruity flavors and they're served ice cold. I personally like that you can customize them. You know, Danielle and I, I feel like we very varied tastes in beverages like this, but it's really cool because you can try your favorite flavor with like the base of either green tea, sparkling water lemonade, or Duncan's all new limeade obsessed.
B
I. I usually go for the sparkling water. I've been loving the black cherry one, which is very fun. It's very unpredictable for me, but I feel like when I was with you recently, did you get the mango pine Now.
A
Yeah, I didn't. I switch it up.
B
Yeah, you do.
A
I'm trying to, like, switch up my bases because I like. I like the lemonade, but I also, like, sometimes want that boost of energy, like the green tea, you know?
B
Yeah. I also. They have some of their curated refreshers, like the fruit punch one, which I actually haven't tried yet, and maybe that's what I'll get, literally after this.
A
Yes.
B
Head to Duncan today and find your favorite refresher. Duncan refreshers contain less than 1% fruit juice, limited time offer. I think it was at a Sports Illustrated party.
A
Yeah. Oh, he loves those events.
B
Sports Illustrated. Diplo.
A
Yeah.
B
Handshake.
A
But Margo then reaches across his. Like, she said something like country. Like. Yeah, like, the country's really good. And then he. He said to her, he's like, you want more country? Got it. And then she was like, yes. He just started playing, ripping the country. But it was, like, all remixes.
B
I heard. On your story or her story.
A
Yes. Well done. The ones I knew. And then he started. He was playing, like, con. I, Joe. I mean, we were getting down, like. Yeah.
B
Wait, that's so fun. Dance.
A
Yeah. No, we really dance. Margo was like. I was thinking the whole time, I was like, this is the perfect blend of our music taste because we really.
B
It's perfect for you, too. Yeah. When does that happen?
A
She knew every word to the country, and I knew when the beat would drop, so that was really great. Yeah.
B
That's so fun because he was, like, layering on, like, songs, not Diplo taking requests. Like, no, I was epic.
A
The fact that you're like. At first, I was like, this is embarrassing. Margo, don't make a request to Diplo.
B
I don't know her.
A
Yeah. I was like, you can't do that here.
B
Like, and they said, you want more country? You got it. He was probably like, maybe. Yeah, maybe he does. He's probably waiting for it.
A
Yeah, it was like a swanky, like, New York City club, you know?
B
So we didn't think it was the vibe. Were people getting down, like our.
A
Yeah. Like our friends and, like, adjacent. Like, there were definitely some, like, you know, serious business people that were like, what's going on over there?
B
You can tell? Yeah, like, what's going on?
A
Yeah. But it was very cool, very intimate, you know, the type of thing you put on your story. And people are like, what?
B
How?
A
Omg. I got invited to an event.
B
Those are honestly the coolest when you're like, I know. My, like, friends from home are Going to love this. Or my college friends are going to love this.
A
Yeah, like on Snapchat. Like Diplo.
B
Yes. Oh, my gosh.
A
It's so random. I say that, like, jokingly because I feel like stuff like that, like, doesn't happen to me. Like, I feel like I don't get the fact that I was, like, that close to him. Like, I said. I was like, wow, this is intimate. Like, you know.
B
No, that was. I mean, like, he literally was in front of you. Like, he wasn't even really on an elevated.
A
No, no, it was flat. Yeah, it was flat.
B
That's so fun.
A
Oh, and then it just so happens that the singer of Hold My Hand, Jess Gline, I freaked out. Yeah.
B
Margo, she just, like, she loves her.
A
She just, like, came up and, like, gave Diplo a hug. And I guess he looked on his, like, usbs, because. And he only had the one song of hers because, like, you have to play, like, whatever you have. You can't, like, just search up from YouTube. It's like, whatever you have on your right USB.
B
Oh, so she was just at the party.
A
Yeah. No, that was not intended. And he was like, oh, like, I'm gonna play this. And then there was, like, no mic except for on the headset. So he hands her, like, the headset. But it was like, a really, like, bad quality mic. But you could definitely hear her singing because we were so close. And I was like, wow, she's really.
B
Did Margo, like, lose it?
A
Yeah, she was, like, losing her mind. She was like, oh, my God, this is so crazy. Like.
B
Yeah, I just know because she always posts that girl's songs.
A
Yes. And they're bops. I mean. Yeah.
B
It's stuff that's, like, fun and. Yeah, that is so. That's, like the part of DJing that's so fascinating to me. Or when they, like, was it yes or not B2B or when they share USB? Is that a thing? No.
A
All I know is that he was playing four decks at one time.
B
Four decks? Like, like, four different.
A
So four different, like, songs, essentially. Like, he wasn't maybe one of them. He was, like, queuing up for next, but he was actively doing something on every, like, queued up. Wow. So most of the time they use two. I feel like, at least the ones that I've seen.
B
That's amazing.
A
Yeah. I mean, four. I feel like at the bigger stuff, like festivals and things like that maybe, but like, like, if it's just like a ol dj, it's like a deck with two.
B
Wow.
A
Yeah, it was very impressive.
B
That's really impressive. We were actually talking about this weekend. You know those apps now where you can, like, make songs?
A
Yeah. Like AI songs.
B
Yeah, yeah. It is kind of sad because, like, one of the girls was, like, just put in random lyrics and she could make it a country song. She could make it. Oh, yeah. And I was like, this could put DJs out.
A
I know there actually some DJs, like, are caught, like, using AI. Oh, yeah. Which I, you know, I can't tell.
B
Yeah.
A
I don't know.
B
I guess we'll never know. Yeah.
A
But I do appreciate, like, real artistry. Of course. And same with, like, art itself, too. Like, I thought Katie was big on, like, you know, my podcast cover. I'm not going to use AI for it. Like, whatever. And I'm like, I so respect that. Like, I feel like, like, there's use cases for it. Right?
B
Absolutely.
A
You know, a little logo that I needed for my little stamps for, like, a thing at Canva AI. Hey, I'm gonna use it, but, like, for a huge, like, illustration or something like that. Like, love an artist, you know.
B
No, I. I'm clearly there. I literally did our family reunion shirts on Canva AI, so.
A
But I feel that that's, like, an applicable use.
B
We're not arts.
A
I don't know. Maybe I.
B
We're not artists. Pretend like we're not. Like, we were never artists. Right.
A
We were never.
B
Hey, look, actually, no, you're a painter.
A
Have you painted in a while? No, I haven't done anything. Oh. I was actually going to say, like, I. Well, since I've been going to bed early, like, that's my hobby now. At this point, I downloaded a new game for the switch, and, like, that's been taking over my life.
B
Oh, that's fun.
A
Yeah. It's called Tomodachi Life. It's like Sims, but, like, in Japan. But it's like, it's really. But you can customize anyone. Like, it is just.
B
Just.
A
It's a really fun, wholesome game. And I've just been, like, hooked on it. Like, I'm staying up late.
B
11:11 on the. So you're just playing? Not on the TV, just on the little switch.
A
I've been playing the handheld. Yeah. Yeah.
B
That's really fun.
A
It's like at the point, though, where I'm like, better using the switch. Like, and we go back and forth.
B
Oh, my God. Why don't you just have two? Or is that dangerous?
A
We have, like, the first, like, the switch one and then switch two. Like, this Is the switch too.
B
Okay, so you want the new. You both want to play.
A
Like, some games are better on the switch too. Some are only on the switch too. They, like, made it so that, you
B
know, only you have to get the new one. Of course. I just bought a coloring book on Tik Tok Shop.
A
Yeah, people are coloring now.
B
Yeah, it looked really fun, though. It's. It's those juicy markers that. Yeah, the markers.
A
And I like those markers, but sometimes they hit the wrong squeak and I'm like, I have like a sensory thing with that, like, specific noise.
B
I didn't know this about you.
A
Yeah.
B
I ever want to annoy you, I'll just squeak.
A
No, I get like, like some, like, sounds. I'm just like, oh. Like, I. I'm. Yeah. And I. I get like, ooh. I don't know if anyone has, like, a specific comment below on the YouTube if you have one. A specific noise trigger that, like, you know, honestly, I. I hate the sound of balloons rubbing against each other and balloons popping. Like, I have a thing with balloons. Like, don't like that.
B
Yeah. No, I mean, obviously chalkboard fingernails on chalkboard.
A
Well, good thing chalkboards, like, don't exist anymore.
B
No one should be using those Were always annoying. Like, they were.
A
And it always, like, showed what was previously there.
B
Yeah, I completely agree. I don't like the sound of, like, saliva. Like someone swishing a saliva.
A
Yeah, I get that.
B
I don't.
A
I get that. I don't have a problem with chewing gum, though.
B
No, no problem with chewing gum. No problem with, like, chewing.
A
Yeah.
B
In general. I'm not like.
A
Yeah, no, I know some people have that chewing thing. I don't.
B
They do.
A
Oh, my gosh. I'm so glad I don't. Yeah.
B
That would just, like, really ruin your life. I feel like.
A
Yeah.
B
People chewing do literally, all the time.
A
All the time. Yeah, they do. Let us know what your irritating noises.
B
Yeah. Comment down below.
A
Comment down below. What else do I have? Oh, five star weekend and L. Did you watch L yet?
B
Yes, but I haven't. I'm stuck on maybe episode four or something. Yeah, it's good.
A
Yeah.
B
Did you finish it?
A
It's good. I feel like some episodes are here and there, but I think she's awesome. I think she's literally.
B
To me, it's just like a different show. Like, it's hard for me to see the relation to legally bond other than the fact that Elle. But I think it's really great. It's a nice watch.
A
Yeah. There's some tie ins. Like but like, intentional.
B
Are you watching Love Island UK or did you watch it?
A
No. Did you?
B
No, I, I haven't before, but I'm like really missing Love island, so my friend suggested I watch it this new season. So I'm interested. Or I would watch. I want to watch Rob Roush's season because I never saw the beginning of it. I think I already said that on the podcast, but I'd like to watch that. Do you see Caleb and Rob linked up in Japan? Of course.
A
Yes. Yes.
B
That's fun.
A
With Jen.
B
With Jen. Jen's one of like, she's really doing it.
A
Yeah, no, I, I, I saw you
B
got her bagels or her dip.
A
Yeah, actually, like, I, I didn't follow everybody from the villa. I didn't follow many people. But like, I wanted to follow her afterwards because, because I was seeing people posting like her modeling jobs and I, that she had done like previous to Love island and I was like, wow, I need to like, I just, I'm curious to keep up with her and like her modeling and stuff. And I just, I don't know. I have an appreciation for her. I think she's funny. I think that she like laughs at herself, which I appreciate.
B
Yes.
A
Like a good sense of like. Lol, guys. You're right. Like, you know, in on the joke kind of.
B
No, you're right. She, she, her content's the one that's popping up, up the most for me now that I think of it, honestly. Yeah. Yeah. I don't remember who I followed on like what platforms. Like, some people I followed on Tik Tok, some people I followed on Instagram. I will not follow sincere.
A
No, no, no, no. I don't think I followed any of the men, actually.
B
Yeah, I actually know. I definitely followed a few cuz their videos popped up. Not following G. Even though he is a fellow gal, you know, like.
A
Yeah, no, he is.
B
Can't do that.
A
Don't.
B
You know what I'm really struggling with? What we've been texting about it is finding a dress to wear to Bridget's wedding.
A
Yeah.
B
Like how on earth. I know to that wedding.
A
Especially after Paige Lorenz's and everyone posting their content from it and like now set the bar real high. I mean like, like now I'm going into it like this is Olympics drainage.
B
Like.
A
Yeah, no, we should prepare like it's our wedding.
B
We should prepare like it's our wedding. No, I'm really. I bought this. I sent you the link. It's this beautiful orange dress came in today. It has Too much fabric. It is, but it also has a slit. Literally, at my vagine. I'm like, this.
A
It could have been a little off center.
B
And it's way too expensive to wear. So back to the drawing board.
A
You hate to hear that.
B
Hate it. You know when you're like, okay, got the dress. Like, that's out of sight, out of mind. So. And then. Then it's also, what is Ryan gonna wear? You know, we've texted about that. What are the boys.
A
Does he have, like, suits in his closet? It.
B
He does, but it's. I don't know.
A
It doesn't. Not for the right occasion.
B
Yeah. Well, I. Yeah. Or it's like. And also, we have to wait to see, you know, what I wear.
A
Oh.
B
Because there's one option. I'm like, oh, I would like if he bought a new suit for this. But he's like, you know, like, I bought, you know, this one for that wedding. And I'm like, yeah, you're right.
A
And suits are, like, not cheap. Right?
B
Suits are not cheap.
A
Dresses are. Well, dresses are nice of a dress, but I feel suits are generally more expensive than dresses.
B
Yeah. Because it's, like, so many pieces. I guess it's just the two. But then sometimes. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Always tailor. But it's just, I. You know, but then it's also like, no. No one really cares. They're just caring about what the bride looks. People say, but I'm sorry, I'm also looking at the guests.
A
Yeah.
B
Like, I'm looking at Bridget. Let me tell you.
A
The thing is, like, I look at the guests, but, like, I look at them as a whole. Like, if it's a picture of four of them, I'm not, like, zooming in individually. Like, I like her dress. I like her dress. You know what I mean? I'm just like, wow, what a beautiful group of ladies. Like, you know what I mean?
B
Right. And I don't want to stand out in a bad way.
A
Agreed. I. I just want to blend in.
B
I just want to blend right in. So I'm literally texting some of the girlies. I'm like, what colors are we wearing? Like, what's the palette? Because I remember when we went to Gretchen's wedding, we all of our colors, honestly, low key, went together so well. And that was not on purpose, which was Clara's dream.
A
Yeah. I feel like it's some of these, like, summer weddings. It's easy ish to dress for them just because. Not easy ish, but, like, knowing that you wear color instead of like, black. Like, I like that. I like the direction. I'm like, okay, so we're all going to be, like, colorful together, you know?
B
Yes. That's so true. I do already have. I've had for months the dress I'm wearing to this wedding I'm going to in Sicily. But now I'm like, should I just, like, switch it up?
A
Is there a dress code for it? Like, why that specifically?
B
I just thought it, like. It's like this green dress, and I just thought it made sense. It's kind of like a Matcha Green, but it's, like, lacy. I just don't think it go. I don't know if it goes for. Maybe I'll ask you, because I love that one. It's like. Zimmerman, it's beautiful.
A
Oh, okay.
B
I know.
A
That's the winner then.
B
I know, but we'll have to convene because I just don't know if it's like, the color palette of, you know, this wedding. Not that Bridget hasn't said, like, wear these colors. No, no, not at all, actually.
A
No. I feel like we're just assuming that it's like a summer wedding.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, I feel like all summer weddings, I'm just like, okay, like, I'll wear my fun.
B
I'll wear my colors.
A
Yeah. My colors. And then in the fall, I wear more, like the brown. Like the jewel tones. Yes.
B
Tones, for sure.
A
Yeah. I have to. I actually just got, like, a burnt orange, almost, like maroony. Those are two different colors, but, you know, two very. Two very different colors. I can't picture it in my mind right now. I think it is more maroon.
B
Okay.
A
Color. Dressed for a fall wedding like that. To me, like, that's.
B
Yes. Like a wine color.
A
Yes, wine. That's what it is.
B
Give her wine. Some Pinot Noir, maybe it's like an orange wine.
A
You know, it could be anything.
B
Like orange, a little maroon.
A
I actually have been finding dresses because then I went on, like, a wild goose chase for dresses, and I was like, you know, mean, I. What?
B
What?
A
I. I'm not even gonna set a budget for myself for this dress because, like, I. I agree. I was like, you know, if everybody's gonna be seeing these dresses, like, I. Once again, I want to look good. But then I was on some of these websites, and I was just like, I cannot believe that they're charging this much for a piece of fabric. Like, some of them are not even special. You know what I mean? I could understand when it's like, beading and art. Like, art art.
B
The Art, like the embellishment and the. The cuts and the silhouette and the corset. Totally agree.
A
But then I went on Saks. Saks website so much. But, like, the in store, you can't even like, really.
B
Oh, forget.
A
No, no, no. But they have a great selection of dresses on Saks because it's gonna have to go there. I feel like they just pull from the retail. Like, they might even ship them from the retailers directly. Like, I don't even know if they're right.
B
Like, it's just like a way to sell the brand. I know what you mean. Maybe.
A
However, I did some. I. I put a bunch in my hearted and I was gonna order like, two of them. You know, if those flop, try another two.
B
Yeah, I know. I like, panic ordered one on Pick or rented one on Pickle. But the thing with Pickle, love it, obviously, so much. Like, you know, I'm gonna get it a few days before the wedding, so it's like.
A
I know, I know that's hard.
B
Yeah, yeah. And that was a yellow dress.
A
The real strategy, I think, with Pickle and like, that type of, like the real. Let me tell you, the real Strat, hey, from what I understand is like. Like, let's just say your friend has this dress. You. You have to be, like, lucky enough to, like, have seen it in person or you saw someone else wear it at a wedding or something like that.
B
Right.
A
Then you ask them for, like, the link to it. You don't buy it from the link. You get the title of it, and then you search it on Pickle so that you are like, okay, I've seen this dress in person before.
B
Oh, I see it.
A
Maybe you didn't wear it, but, like, you're like, confirmed. This is most likely gonna be okay.
B
Yeah.
A
Does that make sense?
B
You're familiar with what it looks like in person. Like, what it looked like on someone else. Else? Is that what you mean?
A
Yes, yes. I guess you could do the same thing with, like, an influencer wearing it too.
B
Yeah, right.
A
Because you could just kind of look it up that way.
B
Yeah, that's a good.
A
Or if you're on Revolve and just like the, like, address, you could just copy that title, plug it into Pickle,
B
and then plug it.
A
Plug it in.
B
I think Pickle actually now has, like, an AI like, photo. Like, you put the photo.
A
Oh, okay. So it makes it even easier.
B
Yeah.
A
All right.
B
I think I saw that the other day.
A
Hey, this is the real strategy.
B
This is all you need to know. So updates to come on that's up a show. Yeah.
A
And you can't get anything tailored then with pickle.
B
No, no, definitely not. So we'll see. Or like the day before. Like, they could cancel on you and be like, actually, sorry, my flight got canc. That's happened to me. My flight's canceled. I'm not gonna be home to get it out of my closet for you. I'm like, so amount of luck. So that's the only thing about that.
A
You don't want to put yourself in a pickle.
B
God forbid.
A
No, I. I really do love pickle. Actually, I've been doing some online shopping. I don't know what came over me, but I.
B
You had the shoppies.
A
Hey, I got inspired.
B
Yeah, you're so inspired.
A
It took some, like, you know, some inspiration. I feel like I found. I don't even know. I feel like this weekend I was scrolling and just like, oh, why not? I'm an artist. I'm inspired.
B
Oh, you know what I bought?
A
What did you buy?
B
I wonder if you're gonna judge. No, no, you're not gonna judge. Have you seen the jelly firkins?
A
Yes, yes.
B
I got a jelly firkin. So it hasn't come in yet from this random website, but they have, like, every color. I just think it's like a fun beach bag. They. They look like Birkins, which is why I like them. They just are calling them. They're like, translucent. Really fun colors. It's a shoulder bag. It hasn't come in the mail yet. Probably won't. It'll probably take a month. Who knows?
A
It'll come next summer.
B
Yeah, come next summer. I think I got a blue one, so I'm excited.
A
That's fun. I have seen those.
B
They're so adorable. Like, I feel like it'd be fun. I want all my friends to get them. We can all, like, match. Like, you should get, like, a pink one.
A
You send me the link and I'll evaluate.
B
Okay. Yeah, you'll. You'll probably be like, this website is a scam, actually, when you buy on those websites works.
A
Whenever it's like a rogue website like that, I always buy through, like, PayPal or something. Because, Mike, maybe, like, that's what I did.
B
I feel protected.
A
Yeah. I don't know why. I'm like, they. They would surely wouldn't let anything bad happen. No way.
B
Now I keep rubbing my hands together.
A
No worries.
B
Physical stem of the week.
A
Yeah.
B
Instead of a physical stem.
A
That is a physical stem. But yeah, you should watch Five Star weekend. What else?
B
Oh, yeah, yeah. Five Star weekend to Jellyfurken.
A
We were talking about Elle, I think, first. And then I don't even know how we go. Oh, then we went to Bridget's wedding and then. Yeah.
B
Love Island.
A
Oh, Love Island. Other stuff you're watching. Yeah, yeah. Other tv.
B
That's. That's really all I have to bring to the table today.
A
Hey.
B
I feel like I had a lot
A
of energy back from Vegas. I'm so shocked this morning, which was so nice.
B
She was like, don't worry. Like, I can carry us through. Like, I know it's like a lot today. I like, was like, thank you. But you know what?
A
The fact that you are off of a flight and you're like, this is really impressive, let me tell you.
B
Thank you. You know, I lost my AirPod when I was sleeping.
A
No.
B
Yes. I woke up and it tizzy. I was like, oh, my gosh. So I've been using, you know what, the wired headphones. I feel like that my head doesn't hurt. You know, like sometimes you feel a little weird with the airpods in your ear.
A
Yeah.
B
I don't know. I do see why people do the wired headphones.
A
Oh, no.
B
And you feel like a cool girl a little bit.
A
Yeah, of course. Yeah. You're like, yeah, I'm like 90s. Like, I just like, wait.
B
This is so vulnerable to share. But I feel like you'll laugh because, like, main character syndrome.
A
Yeah.
B
I don't know how this came up. Me and Ryan were talking. I really don't know how it came up. So it's going to sound really random. And it wasn't him being mean. He was just like, he was being funny. But you know when someone's jokes, you're like, no, there's a little seriousness. He's like, I think you think people think you're cool, but you're really not.
A
That's.
B
He was like, you think you seem cool, but, like, you're not. And I was like, that was a really mean joke.
A
I think that. I think that you. You do look cool. I think that if, like, a stranger on the street saw you, they. They would think you're cool. Thanks. I do think.
B
Oh, I know why. Because, you know the big sunglasses.
A
Yeah.
B
And I was like, because he calls him grandma sunglasses.
A
Yeah. He looks.
B
He got cataract surgery.
A
Yes. Those are not my favorite, but I. Oh, you never wear. I'm going to be honest here. I. But I like the look of them on you. Maybe. I wouldn't say you look the coolest in those. I think, like, in this outfit though, like, if I see you walking down the street in this outfit with those shoes, I'd be like, damn, that. Like that's someone important. Like, I just would be like, this is a cool person, you know?
B
Thanks.
A
Yeah, yeah, Jerseys like laid back. Yeah.
B
Like, yeah, I'm just so laid back.
A
No, I would think that.
B
Thanks.
A
Ben kind of said something similar. He's like, you think everything's about you, but it's not. But that's my main character syndrome because I'm like, it's actually like affecting my like every day I'm like, oh my God. This. And the waiter, they know, like they said this because they, they know that I'm too beautiful or whatever.
B
Obviously that was like targeted at me or I'll see a TikTok. I'm like, that's about me.
A
Like, well, it did, but it doesn't help when I have an experience. We went to dinner the other night, three separate people. Like they were complimenting different things. We walk in, the woman at the front goes, I love your dress. Then I go to the seat and I sit down and the woman goes, I love your ring.
B
Wait, you and I went to dinner?
A
No, Ben and I went. Sorry, sorry.
B
I mean, you always be going to happen.
A
This happened.
B
No, no, I thought you were looking to me to affirm. No, I believe it.
A
And then we're taking photos on the street, you know, someone stops and is like, oh my gosh. Love, like, love the look, you know, so I'm like, that's real. Okay, look, I'm not delusional.
B
No, Ben's not paying them to say that.
A
Like someone who's break. Where's the, where's the camera? Like someone's trying to prank me.
B
Someone's trying to get. No, it's sometimes it's just you need a little hype up sometimes. It's important to like, I think sometimes now when people are confident, it's like looked at as self centered. It's like, we gotta have some confidence in ourselves. My God.
A
But then you act unconfident and then people are like, oh my God. She's like. So you get cheated on either way. If you're too confident, you're like too cocky, you're too full of yourself. But then I feel like if you're not confident enough, people are like, oh my God. Like stand for something.
B
Yeah, yeah. No opinions of our own.
A
Yeah. It's like, be yourself.
B
Everyone else's take, they are.
A
And you know, I'm over here just being a superstar.
B
Brooke's a superstar, and I'm really cool. And that's it. I hope you guys enjoyed. I really enjoyed this episode. I had fun with you.

Episode Title: danielle’s crash out & brooke’s main character syndrome
Date: July 29, 2026
Hosts: Brooke Miccio & Danielle Carolan
Production: Dear Media
In this episode, Brooke and Danielle offer their signature best-friend girl talk, diving deeply into the chaos and humor of daily life, travel routines, main character syndrome, Type-A anxieties, and the logistics (and drama) of being a wedding guest. They share personal stories about Vegas wellness trips, college reunions, running clubs gone awry, and seeking the elusive balance between fun and routine. Along the way, the Gals candidly discuss beauty trends, oversharing, FOMO, Instagram anxiety, and how to influence your man to buy flowers—all with plenty of jokes, self-reflection, and memorable banter.
"I'll write, like, batch gift bag ideas, and then forget I even wrote it." – Danielle (02:00)
Anti-Fall Campaign (03:48)
The Gals emphatically reject the societal rush toward fall, advocating for living in the summer moment and resisting pumpkin-spice madness.
"No fall talk until September! Especially now that I live in New York." – Brooke (04:13)
Euro Summer & Travel Flexes (05:23)
Discussion about what it means to have a “Euro summer” and poking fun at the social media trend of globetrotting, clarifying it's not a weeklong trip—it's a whole season out of the country.
"People say, 'are you doing a Euro summer?'—I’m like, no, it’s just a trip." – Danielle (05:56)
'Wellness' in Vegas (06:13, 18:17)
Danielle recounts her (unusually sober) trip to Las Vegas, focused on spa time and wellness, and both marvel at the contradiction of seeking wellness amidst the city's notorious party scene.
"I didn't drink a lick of alcohol in Vegas. It was more wellness-focused because of the spa." – Danielle (18:00)
Magic Mike Live & Broadway News (07:26)
Fun banter about Magic Mike Live's upcoming NYC residency, the logistics of audience participation, and their bachelorette party potential.
"It’s more of a dance show. It's about the art!" – Danielle (08:23)
The Sorority Reunion Experience (10:08)
Danielle reflects on "crashing out" at her old sorority house for a 5-year reunion—embracing nostalgia while realizing she's outgrown communal living.
"At this age of 27, I don’t want to live like that. I’m not meant to live an uncomfortable life." – Danielle (12:36)
The group laughs about ugly composite yearbook photos and how social media shapes campus legend status.
"Can we talk about those yearbook composites? Did us dirty." – Brooke (14:16)
Main Character Syndrome (15:30)
Brooke describes her self-aware bout of "main character syndrome" after the reunion, joking about fame and the illusion of being the “big three” on campus with Meg Maroney.
"Have we talked about your main character syndrome?" – Brooke (15:28)
Travel Fatigue and “Crash Out” Reality (31:06)
Danielle discusses hitting a wall after back-to-back trips and the need for non-negotiable, grounding routines while traveling often for fun (and work). Both hosts reflect on how to avoid feeling like "trash cans" due to lack of balance and wellness.
"I need to figure out something—on the go non-negotiables." – Danielle (31:53)
They debate how influencers like Alex Earle, Bridget, and Daniel manage fitness routines amid constant travel.
The 'Optional' Run That Wasn't (38:46)
Brooke recalls joining a branded run club event that was “optional” due to poor air quality, but everyone else ran except her—prompting self-deprecating humor about being the only one to opt out.
"I was like the kid on the bench… but these people, they have that 5am mentality." – Brooke (41:06)
Early Birds and Sleep Routines (34:39, 36:11)
Strategies for early wake-ups, prepping for workouts, and the struggle of conflicting schedules with partners.
Sober Fun at Buzzy Parties (43:54)
Danielle and Ben attend a Sports Illustrated party DJed by Diplo, describing the nerve-wracking intimacy of being the first on the dance floor and the unique experience of going out sober.
"It was just Ben and I on the dance floor and… it was so intimate." – Brooke (44:00)
Margot’s Diplo Request (45:32, 54:00)
Hilarious account of Margot brazenly requesting a country song from Diplo and him obliging, plus an impromptu Jess Glynne performance.
"Not Diplo taking requests. It was epic!" – Brooke (54:44)
Wedding Guest Dress Dilemmas (62:49)
The hosts agonize over what to wear to a high-profile wedding, referencing the ripple-effect of social media “wedding guest Olympics” and sharing real tips for finding and renting the perfect dress.
"I’m not even gonna set a budget for this dress… if everybody’s gonna be seeing these." – Brooke (66:39)
Practical Fashion Hacks (67:50)
Tips on how to find specific dresses to rent by searching the exact model name on platforms like Pickle, rather than relying on generic browsing.
TV Shows & Entertainment (30:09, 61:13)

"Ben kind of said something similar. 'You think everything’s about you, but it’s not.'" – Brooke (72:51)
Witty, candid, and self-aware, this episode is a quintessential “best friends catching up” experience—peppered with practical advice and plenty of relatable moments for anyone navigating adulting, self-image, decision-making, and social anxieties. Whether you need a boost of confidence, a laugh about your own oversharing, or help justifying your latest retail therapy, Brooke and Danielle make you feel right at home.
