Danielle
Hello, you guys, what's up? Welcome back to Gals in the Go podcast. I'm Danielle.
Brooke
And I'm Brooke. Happy Wednesday.
Danielle
Happy Wednesday. We hope you're all having the best day. It's officially fall, y'. All.
Brooke
No, it's happy fall, y'.
Danielle
All. Happy fall, y'. All.
Brooke
Even the boots and like jeans and boots. It's so fall.
Danielle
It's so fall. I love how it looks when your jeans just poke out. No more. You don't get to see our calves anymore.
Brooke
You never know. Oh, cuz I'm wearing tall boots.
Danielle
Oh yeah, I do this.
Brooke
I do this hack sometimes cuz I like, I need it. I need more short boots.
Danielle
I know, but then I'm like, like.
Brooke
If you wear like a wide leg, it kind of works.
Danielle
Yeah, that's the thing. You could totally wear tall boots under.
Brooke
Like as long as like one boot. Multi purpose, you know?
Danielle
Multi purpose. We're coming off of such a fun weekend that we cannot wait to recap with you guys. Also, hope you enjoyed our Mel Robbins episode as much as we did.
Brooke
Gosh, so insane. I'm still reflecting on that actually. I'm telling everybody who will listen about it. I'm sure you too.
Danielle
Like, everyone's reaction is like, no way.
Brooke
Right? I know that I have to show them the pictures. No, I'm like, no, it happened.
Danielle
Like, I swear I was hugging her. Like we can't get over it. So definitely go listen to that episode if you haven't already. Like, I. I just like had to thank you guys so much for all the support and everything. And you know, that was a really big. A big get for the gals.
Brooke
Was a big guy. And we're just going up. The gals are up this year. Yeah, honestly, we're having an up here and it's Danielle's 27th year.
Danielle
I'm like loving 27 birthday.
Brooke
I keep like saying that I'm like 27, but like, yeah, you're you are. You're 27.
Danielle
27. I kind of love 27. Like, how it sounds more than 26. And I kind of feel like when you were 27, you were like, I love it.
Brooke
It's. That's a. I think it's a good.
Danielle
Sound you were up to when you were. I mean, it was probably literally last year.
Brooke
No, that's the thing. The last, like, three years of my life are really very similar. I feel like I need to shake it up. Like, do something crazy.
Danielle
Shake it up. Chicago.
Brooke
Yeah. Like, in. In a good way.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Like, your life, too, has been pretty, like.
Danielle
Yeah. It's like, maybe a new apartment. But besides, for me, it was like, well, I guess you also moved in with Ben. But that's my new thing. Like, when people are like, what's new? I'm like, thank God. I just moved in with Ryan because it's something to say.
Brooke
Oh, I literally have not. I saw someone for the first time, like, year. They're like, so, what's new? I was like, literally nothing. No, absolutely nothing. I was like, But I'm. I love that. For me, though. Yeah.
Danielle
Normalize being fine with nothing being new.
Brooke
Like, that's actually, like, I think, a good. If you're. If you're in a happy state.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Good. I mean.
Danielle
Yeah, I feel it's emotional, and I'm sure I asked this question to people, too, actually. I really try not to, but I was around someone recently who was like, you know, so, what's next for you?
Brooke
I'm like, no, hate the what's next Question.
Danielle
I'm just trying to get through, you know?
Brooke
And also, like, I've learned a lot of people, like, move quietly and, like, they move.
Danielle
No, they do love island of you.
Brooke
They do, though. They act. They. They do, you know, their business plans and stuff. And I used to be, like, a loudmouth, and I've learned to shut up. Honestly, I have. Not that I want to hide anything or whatever, but I speak on things usually too soon, and it usually doesn't happen, so I've learned to shut up. Yeah. Trying something new.
Danielle
I'm shutting up.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
God, that's. I'm so bad at shutting up. Like, I'm. I'm so Jump the gun. Like, I jump the thing. I even jump the gun with things with you or with other people, and I feel like I'm, like, off. Why'd I say that? Like, it's just not gonna happen.
Brooke
This is a new implementation thing. Because I literally. I find that almost every time I get, like, Crazy excited that I start telling, like, my family or Ben or you or something. Like it doesn't work out. It's almost like you would think the opposite to be true.
Danielle
You think you're manifesting it.
Brooke
I know, I know, but they say with manifesting, you're not actually supposed to think about it every day. Like you kind of like, put it out into the universe, then like, forget about it. You know what I mean? Like, I feel like you, you have the desire, but I think if you're constantly obsessing over it, it almost pushes.
Danielle
It away more because you could also be thinking about it in a way, like, what if it doesn't happen? So that's manifesting it. Like, it's not.
Brooke
You're so right. I don't know. I mean, what's meant to find me will find me.
Danielle
Yeah. Whatever you do is what shall be.
Brooke
Yeah, I. I do agree with that.
Danielle
A great quote from the proposal. I love quoting that movie. That's a good movie.
Brooke
Yeah, that is such a good movie.
Danielle
Oh, I'm like, so back onto, like watching TV and stuff and everything. And like, there's that new show, the Girlfriend. I feel like you're not watching tv.
Brooke
I'm not watching. Honestly. I really have been, like, listening to music.
Danielle
Yes. Like, no, you were at a music festival.
Brooke
No, I have. And then like podcasts. I feel like Mel said to, like, listen to like smarter podcasts. And I honestly have taken that advice. Like, I really. Yeah, have taken. And run with it. I really like Emma Greed's podcast, you know.
Danielle
Great. Yeah, I listened to her with Mel, of course. Mel.
Brooke
Mel.
Danielle
She's our friend. No, it's our newest thing.
Brooke
I'm Mel.
Danielle
When she walked in, like, we're literally our pants, she's like, hey, I'm Mel. I'm all, what's up?
Brooke
Yeah, so funny.
Danielle
No smarter podcasts for sure.
Brooke
That. So not that everything has to be education. Obviously this is not. But I think for me there's certain times of the day that I could use something. Well, like, you know, provide me a little knowledge and I do feel smarter. I'm also working on, you know, continuously improving and get trying to get smarter. That's something that I'm working on.
Danielle
Your self improvement grind.
Brooke
I really, especially after Mel, I'm like, I, I gotta get to work. I gotta tinker a little bit with myself. Like hammer knit.
Danielle
I think we need to. And I'm saying this for myself too, even though I love a morning. Like, I don't have a set morning routine at the Moment. I know.
Brooke
No, you're right. I need to do. Oh, we, we, we. I'm saying this new implementation. Yeah.
Danielle
Because a morning routine really sets you up for the day.
Brooke
No, you're so right. And there's literally no reason why I can't. Like, that's the thing. I sound like I have a screaming baby. I don't even have a pet to let out. Like, there's literally no reason why I. Because, you know, people say they're like, oh, I can't because, you know, I'm on my kid's schedule. It's like, I don't have a kid. Like, I. I have literally.
Danielle
No, no. When you say it like that, no. It's so true. But also, I do think that, like, each season kind of changes what you're doing in that time. Like summer, it's a little, you know, we were in the Hamptons, or you're traveling or you're in and out more. But now I feel like it's that time of, like, even though we're still both going to be traveling a lot, it's. It's. It's a little bit more home based.
Brooke
I agree. I agree.
Danielle
In the fall. I can't believe it's already fall.
Brooke
I agree. It's more like weekend trips and stuff versus, like, I think in the summer was kind of like random weeks at a time.
Danielle
Yeah. What do you have coming up?
Brooke
Coming up? Like, really not much. Oh, I'm going to Florida with Ben, actually. Is that next week? I think it is, actually. Yeah, I'm going. She's going away. Yeah. It's just like a good period of time. So Ben and I were like, let's go spend some time in Florida with my parents for, like, I think five days or something, which I'm really excited about.
Danielle
Are you going to go to, like, any theme parks?
Brooke
Maybe. I'm trying to work on Epic Universe.
Danielle
Let's see. Oh, Ben would literally love that.
Brooke
I know. It's it. We're stirring something up.
Danielle
Yeah. Something. Oh, but we'll shut.
Brooke
Are you.
Danielle
You don't want to talk about it?
Brooke
No, no. Well, plans are. I don't know. I'm fine. What, because of the news? No. Oh, my God. No. Someone died there, so I was like. No, I, like, saw that. I was like, like, I'm sorry. No.
Danielle
So you did not need to know just about how you're saying, like, I'm trying not to, like, put. Oh, I didn't know if this was like, a sponsor. Like, you're trying to, like, get oh, I am 100.
Brooke
No. I'm waiting to see if I will.
Danielle
Shut up because.
Brooke
Now it's not gonna happen. Yeah. Damn it.
Danielle
No, it will. It will. You made some really good content. They. They. They owe you.
Brooke
Hey, it's. It's how. It's like Horror Nights, and then they're like, you can come for that. I was like, respectfully, no. Like, I.
Danielle
Have you ever done Halloween Horror Night?
Brooke
No. And I don't with, like, no, thank you. Actually, we were all aligned. Like, my parents were both like, no, no, no. And Ben was like, no, no, no. Like, we all were, like, not interested. No, thank you. Like, you did it, though.
Danielle
I did it with my ex boyfriend. Like, he was my ex when we went.
Brooke
Oh, what?
Danielle
Isn't that.
Brooke
Wait, I didn't realize. Did you. Was it for a video?
Danielle
Well, it's like, the craziest thing. So when Joey and I broke up, he invited me to, like, speak at one of his, like, stay you shows, which is so nice. My mom came and like.
Brooke
Oh, your mom went to that?
Danielle
She came to the show. She's like, I want to come because it was in Orlando.
Brooke
I remember this happening.
Danielle
Yeah. It was like this whole thing, but we were fully not in a relationship, so it's kind of weird. We were like, whoa. And we were. We met in Orlando, so it's like this crazy thing. And we did that panel, and then my mom went back and my flight was like, the next day. And so I went to Universal with him and his manager to Halloween Horror Nights. And it was a weird thing because normally you would want to, like, grab some.
Brooke
Like, I was terrified.
Danielle
I don't. With that.
Brooke
They don't touch you, but they get really close, right?
Danielle
They get so.
Brooke
Yeah. I can't believe you did that. I feel like I don't do.
Danielle
I wouldn't know.
Brooke
And honestly, they all sound terrifying. I have one bad experience from when I was a kid, and it was like, literally the most elementary level, like, hard experience. Like, so bad. Like, actually laughable.
Danielle
How bad it was in grade school.
Brooke
No, but it was so, you know, like, some of them are so bad that it's like, this is actually funny.
Danielle
Like, I don't know.
Brooke
No, but it was. It's. I. I was a kid, and it scared me so much that, like, I still think about that.
Danielle
Yeah, you're like.
Brooke
But looking back, I know the location that it was at. I'm like, it was literally. Are you serious? Like, it was like a school auditorium that they transformed into, like, you know what?
Danielle
I'm saying walls up. No, I. I'm validating you, though, because I. We went to Coney island this summer and there was like a haunted ride. So we were like, ah, let's do that.
Brooke
Scared. Really?
Danielle
Mind. Like, I. I literally kept my eyes closed the whole time. I was so scared because it's just. Anything that pops up in your face, I get it.
Brooke
I hate to pop out. Yeah. Even in a movie or something too. Did I tell you when we watched like, Godzilla and like, there's so many pop outs in that movie. I was. I was. Great movie.
Danielle
But like, there's like too many, like, suspense boom. That.
Brooke
Sorry. Okay, wait. So circling back to the 27th year.
Danielle
27 feeling we didn't really talk.
Brooke
We. I realized we never really, like, what, the week of your birthday? There was.
Danielle
There was no. There was moms.
Brooke
Yeah. Your mom. Oh, my God. That was a crazy week.
Danielle
It was so. Oh, my God. The last, like, two, three weeks of my life have been so crazy. Probably a few. It's just like so much like, in and out and like, events and people visit.
Brooke
Like, it was.
Danielle
I just myself, of course. But.
Brooke
Well, you're learning now.
Danielle
I know. I'm learning to, you know, slow my role a little bit. And really, I'm really trying to be Brooke Mitchie. Will I be able to do that? You know, it's.
Brooke
But now I'm gonna start saying no to, like, everything. No, now you have more capacity because, like, it was a busy time and there was a lot of guests.
Danielle
True. Like, this week, I literally have nothing. Every afternoon, like, you're just chill. Literally just chilling. Like, what's for dinner?
Brooke
Like, yeah.
Danielle
I was like, ryan, let's plan meals this week.
Brooke
Yeah. You're like, maybe I can get a head start before you get home. Like, it's.
Danielle
No, I know. It's always like, he gets home and I'm like, oh, now we'll start at like, 8:30. So that's really good. But what was I gonna say? Oh, 27. I don't. I don't usually say this, but, like, I really feel good about it because it was just such a great way to start and we'll get into it. But I'm loving 27. No, we're not the same age. No, you're 28.
Brooke
No, much, much older.
Danielle
I was like, are we the same age for a second? No, never. We're never really.
Brooke
No, we're only. We're a year apart sometimes.
Danielle
Right. That's the thing.
Brooke
Like two years apart, but the thing that kills you. Yeah. 20. 28. I feel good about 28, too. Like, I feel like these are.
Danielle
Those are fun years.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
These are our years. These are.
Brooke
These are our years.
Danielle
27. I know. I wanted to film that. Tick tock. But I didn't because that. She says she's 27. Kendall's 27. So, like, we can't do it because you're much, much.
Brooke
No, No, I can't.
Danielle
Oh, no. 27 and 28. That's like Chicago.
Brooke
They're good, good years.
Danielle
I like that.
Brooke
Wait, okay, so mom left, and then what happened? Did. Did you guys, like, do birthday activities, you and your mom, or. Not really, because it was kind of, like, early.
Danielle
What did we do? She know. She took me and Ryan to dinner for, like, our birthday.
Brooke
Oh, that's.
Danielle
It was so sweet. But it was funny because she was like, where do you want to go? And I just. I, like, have hit my breaking point with. And I know. It's like, right after talking to Sister snack.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
You think I'd be motivated? No, I. I had a bad experience when my brother was visiting, and he wanted to go to dinner, and it was like a last minute thing, and so I picked this random. Oh, my God. You would have just cracked up. Like, it was so not a place to go. But I was just quickly. Because I'm not a foodie, right? So I picked this random place, and we literally left. He was like, this is so bad. I was like, oh, my God. Even my brother doesn't like this place. So now it's just whenever it's on me to pick a restaurant, like, I don't. I literally don't know. I feel so much pressure. So when my mom was like, I want to take you and Ryan to dinner for your birthday. Where do you want to go? I'm like, I mean, there's always places they'd love to go. But you. You're telling me a day before.
Brooke
Yes. And then you have to pull something together. Yeah. And Ryan doesn't really have a spot. Does he have spots? Like, is he like, oh, I like this place?
Danielle
Yeah. Like, not really. Like, him and I. It really works for our relationship. Like, neither of us are foodies, so it kind of works in that way. But then we're screwed when other people are involved. So, like, I don't know.
Brooke
Yeah. Best of luck to you. But then you can let the foodies inside. That's kind of my thing. I'm like, if you. Yeah. Like, I. I kind of care, so I'm like, if I'm not actively Planning, like, that's on me. You know what I mean? Like, I'm not gonna.
Danielle
I love when you step in. I'm like, thank God.
Brooke
Like, oh, thanks. I'm not gonna complain about someone else's, like, reservation choice. Like, if I could just make the reservation.
Danielle
Yeah, you can't complain if you, like, had the opportunity to help and didn't.
Brooke
Yes. But I guess in this case it's your mom's visiting from out of town. She doesn't know. She consulted me for restaurant recommendations.
Danielle
I know. And then her friend couldn't go. So then I was like, I'm not going all the way to Brooklyn. Because I wasn't going all the way.
Brooke
But she was going Flatbush. And I was like, which is lucky for you. I do have Flatbush recommendations.
Danielle
But like, she was gonna go. There was like a pizza place.
Brooke
She said, yeah, she was gonna go. But we did. It's really good. That's a good weeded.
Danielle
Yeah, that's cute. Then I. I took her to. Which I told you, you need to go to Rossioli. And I was really proud of that.
Brooke
That's a great wreck. Great. Good job. I mean, I haven't been to the one here. Only one in Rome.
Danielle
Yeah. Oh, yeah. I was like, did you go? You're like, I went to the room. I was like, okay.
Brooke
It's the same.
Danielle
I imagine it is, but we have so much to talk about. Let's do glam and panic.
Brooke
Sure.
Danielle
So then we can get into it. Because I want to hear about your. We have so much. A good old. Let them. A good old fashioned gals in the go up.
Brooke
So just a good old catch up.
Danielle
Yeah. Don't you guys worry they're still here. You know when you're trying to figure.

Danielle
Panic what are you panicked about?
Brooke
I was panicked about being late to your birthday.
Danielle
I was, oh my God.
Brooke
We never even like debriefed that because.
Danielle
I, I didn't think a thing of it.
Brooke
Well, it seemed, you know, you never, I didn't know what time people were arriving and stuff. But you, you called it for nine. So did people show up at nine or not really? Like people show up at like 10?
Danielle
No, like I, a couple of my friends were like, what are you doing before your birthday? And I was like, we're not having a pregame because I didn' want to be so hungover the next day. Yeah, it's like just meet there. But if you could get there at nine, that would be fun. So we have some people. So, like Delaney, Caitlyn Morgan, like they got there. They got there like 9:15. I feel like most people were there at like 10:30. So what time do you. I don't even know. I put my phone away.
Brooke
No, I.
Danielle
You came out of. I was still vibing. When you got there, it was like midnight.
Brooke
No, it was. It was like 11:15 maybe. I don't know, maybe a little after that, I guess.
Danielle
Ben. Because I worked out with Cass this morning. She was like. I felt so bad. Brooke's boyfriend was like, thank God we're here. Brooke was really stressed.
Brooke
I was. I was freaking out.
Danielle
Like, I need to assure her later that is not.
Brooke
Oh my God. So. So this is why I was red panic. Because I knew like that my. The festival thing that I was going to was over at 10. And I don't know why. I completely forgot. I've been to festivals on Ramos island before that.
Danielle
Where is where it was.
Brooke
Yeah, that's where it is. And it's honestly like great. Like it's super fun. It's just like getting out of there is kind of a show because there's like two paths. Like, there's not many paths. They don't let you. You'd Uber from there. Like you have to.
Danielle
And there's no train, I guess, because it's an island.
Brooke
The. The ways that I knew of. Yeah, were I think that you actually might be a subway. All I know is that there's a walking bridge that can take you either to Queens or to Manhattan or there's a ferry. But you had to pre buy tickets. I didn't pre buy tickets, so. Because I was like, I don't need it. But then everybody had the same idea to do the walking bridge. So it was literally a glacial pace. Like everybody was sure. And you were, yeah. No. And I was just like, I gotta get there. And it was just like I had to say, let them. Like, I was at the. The will of like, everybody else around me.
Danielle
Oh my gosh. Well, let me tell the audience that Brooke, like two months ago texted me. Like, you had the foresight or she was like, look, your birthday is on this Saturday. John Summit's doing a music festival. Do you have plans? And I was like, I honestly don't. I don't. I. I told you. I said, get the tickets. You should go. I'm sure I'll do something that day because my birthday is not always on a Saturday. But it could be during the day could be. I had no idea what I was doing.
Brooke
But I. It's actually really funny because I, like, told my friends, I was like, oh, I'm going to this on Danielle's birthday, but she's probably just gonna do something casual. And someone replied to my story of me dancing on the thing, and they're like, oh, this doesn't look very casual.
Danielle
It started out, it was such a. This is so classic me. So classic. Like, I was like, I'm just gonna have that little housewarming party.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
At our apartment, like, for me and Ryan's birthday. Because our birthdays are two days apart. I thought it'd be so fun.
Brooke
No, it's. And. And it could have been housewarming too, like, but it was a big group of people, though.
Danielle
It just started to grow. And then. Because it was for Ryan too, it was like my sister and then her roommate, you know, like, it just. And I was getting stressed and our apartment is nowhere near done, and I didn't want to have to clean the next day. So I'm like, okay, let's get a bar. And then I was like, and we'll just get a dj and we'll just get a photographer.
Brooke
So I feel like you don't, like, do it a little. That's your thing. But it's a. It's a good.
Danielle
I didn't do a theme, though.
Brooke
There was no theme.
Danielle
There was no theme. And I only sent a text blast about the dress code because I was getting text from people, I think, because I've always done themes.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
What do I.
Brooke
Waiting for the theme.
Danielle
I was like, I. I didn't even know what I was wearing. I bought my outfit the day of. I. You were probably so confused because I sent you a different outfit.
Brooke
Yeah, I. I figured it was in the same family.
Danielle
It was leather.
Brooke
Where did you get that from?
Danielle
Oh, my God. This. I want to gatekeeper, but I'm not. I'm not going to. I'm not going to. It's on Broadway. Like, it's hard to gatekeep. It's in Soho. It's called Meniere Devoir. I've bought from it on Instagram ads before. I remember Paige Sorbo post about it years ago, and it's like, house of CB prices.
Brooke
Okay.
Danielle
Such cool sets. Like, so my vibe, like corset leather. Like, cool stuff.
Brooke
Very cool.
Danielle
And Ryan and I went shopping on birthday during the day and I saw that and I was kind of like, should I just be crazy and wear this? And he was like, yeah, he loved it. He was like, I prefer that, obviously. Cuz my other outfit was like baggy pants. He was like, you're.
Brooke
He's like, you're butt.
Danielle
It's a tight black outfit.
Brooke
Like, he was like, yeah, I see. Someone commented that it was giving Sandy and Danny from. Yeah, it was.
Danielle
Cuz he was just wearing like a white shirt with like a black bomber.
Brooke
Yep.
Danielle
Greaser.
Brooke
And it was so.
Danielle
That vibe, it was so fun. Well, well, let me rest assure you.
Brooke
Like, no, I ended up getting there. I was just like. Then I was like, everyone's gonna be gone. Like that. I started like really freaking out because I was like, I'm literally everyone's gonna be gone and I'm gonna. Whatever. But then once we like showed up, I was like. And I heard the music from outside. I was like, we are good.
Danielle
We are good. I could just imagine Ben being like, how do I calm her?
Brooke
No, he was. And then it was just every single, like part of it was like taking forever because then there was like a bottleneck of people getting off the bridge, so then the cars couldn't pass by.
Danielle
And festivals, man, it's never easy. I know.
Brooke
I feel like you have to really just like, if you're going to a festival, you have to go into it knowing, like, I have no control over the getting home process and like, it's gonna be a show.
Danielle
Yeah. No, you. You got. I mean, you were one of the last people there too. And you got there. Like, I mean, that was so fun when you got there. And then we just got up and started.
Brooke
So fun music was. Well, you said you were like, I just extended the DJ now. That's like when I first got there. So I was like, let's go. Yeah.
Danielle
Oh, I. Before you go. Okay, good. Yeah. I was like, like, everyone, if that's when people. Honestly, when you got there is when it was like, crap. Like, did you see Bridget?
Brooke
Yeah, they were right. Everybod got. I feel like the welcoming committee, like, Jazz was right at the door.
Danielle
She's like, hey.
Brooke
I think people were confused probably, like, why. I was just getting there though. I was like, no, I. We came from a past. Like, that's why we're dressed like this.
Danielle
Which I thought your outfit went great with.
Brooke
It was fine. It was fine.
Danielle
Honestly. Went well with my wild outfit or like us and those photos together.
Brooke
I was like, no, it was good.
Danielle
Yeah, it was so fun. I.
Brooke
You might think it was a leather theme, actually.
Danielle
You might think it's a leather theme based off of the Photos of us.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Well, I'm so sorry you're panicked, but.
Brooke
I'm glad it's all good. Let that be my panic. I'm mad at, you know.
Danielle
No, I. I hate that when you're in the back of an Uber too, and you're like, oh my God.
Brooke
Or like when the Uber just wouldn't come because there was so many people walking. Like, you know, when the pedestrians. Which, I mean, I'm guilty sometimes too. Like when I'm like right of way, but like, it's not actually your right away, but you're in a crowd and.
Danielle
Then it's just like you're like, sorry. Like whatever mode of transportation you're in, it's like you have the right of way. Like that's what you want at least.
Brooke
So I understand it's hard. So we're selfish. Look, what are you panicked about?
Danielle
Oh my God. Oh my God. I think this is so funny. I hope. I don't think I said this. Wait, did I? About my therapist.
Brooke
No.
Danielle
Okay. Okay. Like, this must be peak overthinking. So it had been like, normally on Sundays, my therapist will text me and say, hey, checking in? Like, when do you want to meet this week? And I was moving and I had been busy and life was fine. You know, it's like sometimes it's like, I actually don't need therapy this week, you know, whatever. And I had noticed it had been like, like a couple of weeks since she had texted me. And I like worked up this whole scenario in my head because I said one thing and she was like, oh, I'm kind of like that. And I was like, am I offending her? And I like, freaked out.
Brooke
I thought that she was ghosting you or what.
Danielle
So I thought my therapist was ghosting me. So I let me read my text to her of what I said, like.
Brooke
And then you approached her about it.
Danielle
Like, am I okay? I literally basically checked in on my therapist. I stopped. No, I literally texted her, hope you're doing well. That's it. She goes, you too. Want to make sure I didn't miss a text from you though, wanting to meet or anything. Just got the hope you're doing well. I go, oh, well, no, that's it. Just hadn't heard from you about booking an appointment. Not that you have to, but I was like, I hope she's okay. Haha. I do want to meet soon. Just being really crazy. Me, an overthinker. She sent like the laughing emoji. She goes, I never know if my texts are Annoying when I constantly follow up. But I'll start back up with my weekly check ins. I said no, Never annoying. I'm cracking up, up me making sure you're alive.
Brooke
That's really funny that you. You were like, you. You go to like, oh, I did something. I go to like, she probably didn't want to, like, solicit if you were like, no.
Danielle
Yeah, that makes sense because it does.
Brooke
Get to a point where it's like, oh, you want money? Like, not actually, but like, it's like, actually, I don't want to meet this week. So then you're kind of like, soliciting and it's not soliciting, obviously, like, but it's a relationship with this person.
Danielle
But it's a lot of money. Yeah, it's totally.
Brooke
So if you're like, it's not going to provide me value this week, like, I'll skip. Skip. Did you skip a few times and then.
Danielle
Yeah, I had skipped a few times for sure. Like, it totally makes sense. Like, poor girl was. She thought she was being too much on me.
Brooke
Yeah. Oh, my God. That's. So you guys are both like, this is why she's your therapist.
Danielle
I guess it was so fun. She brought it up on our last therapy session. She was like, by the way, never like, if you want me to check in with you on Sundays, I'll do that. I was like, no, I just thought maybe you were mad at me. She was like, do you hear yourself right now? Like, we are good. There's. I should never be mad at you.
Brooke
Oh, that's. Yeah. There's literally no reason to be. Why would she be.
Danielle
I literally don't know. Like, actually, I'm not. Okay. I literally thought I. She was like, oh, me and Danielle aren't compatible. Like, I was overthinking therapy.
Brooke
I feel like then she would approach you and be like, I can't help you anymore. Like, I feel like there would be like a point where she's like, where she would be like, I don't think we're a match. Right. Like, which, that. I mean, you guys have gone a little too far at this point.
Danielle
Yeah. No, then it would be concerning. No, it was so she checked in with me yesterday.
Brooke
That's nice. Different people like different things. So to be fair, like, that, that is reasonable to think for you to be like, oh, she stopped, you know.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
But then I can also see her side of saying, like, she knows that.
Danielle
I can reach out when I'm ready. Yeah. Like, she knows that. And that's what she was. God, I was just, like, laughing to myself. I just texted my therapist, hope you're doing well. That's all I said. Like, that's crazy.
Brooke
Is that it? You're actually not. Well, maybe in the Was.
Danielle
That was pre Mel Robbins, though.
Brooke
Okay, so post Mel.
Danielle
I've changed everything. I really. I mean, it's only been a little bit. Good.
Brooke
That's really good. I've been telling people that it's been. I mean, I don't want to compare it to therapy, but it was like therapy.
Danielle
Like, I would compare it.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah.
Danielle
I've told all my friends, like, you must listen.
Brooke
It was so beneficial. Like, every little. I. I keep talking about just, like, little bits about it.
Danielle
Like, certain things.
Brooke
Yeah, we're obsessed.
Danielle
Mel Fan club here, actually. Oh, okay. So that's what the gals are panicked about. What is your glam on the go?
Brooke
My glam on the go?
Danielle
Because you're a gown.
Brooke
I'm a gal on the go. The Caudalie Vino Perfect serum. Use this.
Danielle
Yeah, I ran out and I just didn't.
Brooke
I was like, I think it's working.
Danielle
Is this the Botox in a bottle? I think that.
Brooke
No, that's the like a Geneva figure.
Danielle
Something like.
Brooke
Isn't that like a French one?
Danielle
Does this have a pink pump?
Brooke
No, it's not a pump. It's a dropper.
Danielle
Oh, I don't have that one.
Brooke
Yes. Okay. I fully, like, bought it. It's a. Forks. I honestly have been trying to research good vitamin C because now my new skincare goal ever since I cleared my skin is to get rid of, like, post acne marks, like, that sort of thing. And it's. It's not texture for me. It's literally just color. Like, I feel like when I look at my skin, I'm like, oh, I.
Danielle
See, like, where the pimples used to.
Brooke
Be, like, like, it's like the remnants, you know?
Danielle
Yep.
Brooke
I guess it's vitamin C that, like, corrects that, really. And this apparently is supposed to have, like, good vitamin C and good for dark spots, but I also just love the texture breaks. I find a lot of vitamin C's, like, get pilly.
Danielle
They do.
Brooke
And they don't wear with makeup or they just don't, like, sit well on the skin.
Danielle
And then you don't want to use it because you're putting makeup.
Brooke
So this. I. I can't, like, say if I've seen improvements because I have a lot of things going, but I like the way it fits into my. My system at the Moment.
Danielle
That's a good way to put it.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Because I kind of stopped using vitamin C because it was a weird consistency on the skin. So maybe I'll try that one.
Brooke
I think it's like less vitamin C because you know, the really, really strong ones definitely like do that.
Danielle
Maybe that's what it is for, some sort of ingredient.
Brooke
Yeah, but you could like do that one at night. Like gets like pilly maybe and then.
Danielle
Yeah, flip, whatever, load it up.
Brooke
Yeah, I don't know that I'm in. I'm sold on vitamin C. I, I.
Danielle
Do think it works.
Brooke
I feel like I can tell when people tell me that they use it. I'm like, I can see it like.
Danielle
And your skin just looks glowier when you're consistent with it. I used to be so consistent with it.
Brooke
What are you? Like what, what serums do you use right now? I feel like you have like a multi step.
Danielle
Like right now I do, I, I do an essence of whatever essence I have or I'll spray my face to wet it and then I have a, A, I always use a hyaluronic acid serum and then as either like a skin fix serum on top or something else and then barrier cream. Got it locked in. What about you? What's your.
Brooke
I'm doing in essence right now too. I do the road. Like I'll do like the glazing milk or the mist or whatever. Like I do something and then I usually go in with this serum or like a vitamin C and then I go in with. I'm trying to think. I feel like there's something like it really depends like what's nearby day I have some moisturizing stuff, but I don't do moist like a moisturizing serum every day. Like does that make sense? Like I probably do that every other.
Danielle
Day because like what do I need today?
Brooke
Yeah, like after the festival, like I needed moisture. Like she needed me.
Danielle
Yeah, totally.
Brooke
And I've been doing weekly face masks. I don't really have like a crazy preference. I did like the one11 skin one last week and then I've been doing the Dr. Jart, like the rubber one. And I do feel like weekly face masks, like doing a treatment like actually does help.
Danielle
You're so good to your skin.
Brooke
I'm now that it's clear, I'm like, what else can I do? What other things can I make improvements to?
Danielle
I was going to prank you today and do what? But it went away. Like I had to go to the dentist this morning. I'm like numbed And I had this thought of being like. But I remembered I snapchatted you. I wish I hadn't sent you a thing that I went to the dentist and I was going to say I got my. I got my first thing of botox done cuz I looked hilarious. Like it was like this as so funny.
Brooke
I can't believe that was in your panic that you had to emergency dentist appointment.
Danielle
Kind of was. But I really wanted to tell the thing.
Brooke
Yeah, that is a good story.
Danielle
Yeah. But now I have a dentist in the city and now I won't go home to Florida for my dentist.
Brooke
Like that's like real adult that's growing. You start, you know, making the change.
Danielle
Yeah, but I was really excited because this dentist is like right in Soho. So I get excited to go. That's great because like, you know, I get anxious going to doctors.
Brooke
What did you. So how do you make an emergency dentist appointment? I've never, knock on wood.
Danielle
Honestly. I just called and left it probably a really concerning message. I was like, hi. Like if there's any way I could get in, like, like it's just because it was so. Oh my God, it hurt so bad. Like anytime I would drink cold water, like there's literally a hole. There was a hole because my filling fell out. So it was like shoots up.
Brooke
Like I. Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about. And it sends a shiver down me spine. Like, like literally. That's crazy.
Danielle
Yeah. So I'm really grateful. They were like, we can get you in for 30 minute consultation. Then they saw and they're like, we'll just get it done right now. Oh, thank you New York fast here. Oh my God. She filled me up.
Brooke
She.
Danielle
Oh my God. She numbed me so fast though. I was like like my place at home, they're like, oh, okay, get your essential oils out, sniff them. Because they know me so well. And she was like, okay, I'm just gonna numb you real quick.
Brooke
I was like, ah. Like I'm not used to just hit you hit me.
Danielle
But she was good.
Brooke
It's good.
Danielle
I need to grow up a little bit with the needles. So.
Brooke
But. But you didn't feel anything after that, right?
Danielle
Yeah, no, it was numb.
Brooke
I feel like you want to be as numbed as possible at the dentist. I don't want to know what is going on in that.
Danielle
Yeah, but the numbing hurts, you think? Yeah, because she just put the numbing on me for. She had, she was, she had to go. But I liked her. She was quick. My glam on the go. Micellar water.
Brooke
Which one?
Danielle
Garnier micellar water with the micellar cleansing eco pads. I wrote this down. They like, you can reuse them sometimes I'm like, how clean do these get?
Brooke
But do you throw them?
Danielle
No, there's only two of them. Oh, no.
Brooke
So you never clean them?
Danielle
No, I just clean them with face wash with hot water and I'm like, I hope. No. Imagine I just keep doing.
Brooke
No, that's what.
Danielle
I'm sorry. I clean it in the sink.
Brooke
At some point it probably isn't working anymore.
Danielle
No. Or I'll use the clean skin club towels. Just whatever.
Brooke
They're not dry.
Danielle
But loving it. Like, I. I've really been in this cadence of getting in the shower to take off my makeup. Do you?
Brooke
Cadence? I love that cadence. Big word. Yeah, it's what? Take off your. Like you bring the bomb into the shower with you.
Danielle
Yeah. So that's not my cellar water, but.
Brooke
I love washing my face in the shower. I don't love brushing my teeth in the shower. Do you ever do that? No. No.
Danielle
You love brushing your teeth.
Brooke
I love doing everything in the shower. Like, if I could do everything in the shower, I would. Like, I. I just want to like take care of business and then like get out.
Danielle
Like, you know, so. Okay. So do you have a shower toothbrush?
Brooke
No. But it's literally two step. My shower is legitimately. I could, I could reach out of my shower and hit my sink.
Danielle
Like I would have a puddle it getting to my toothbrush because I have it in a drawer.
Brooke
Like, oh, no.
Danielle
So you're during the shower, you're like, I can just grab it.
Brooke
No, I go in with it. Like, I make a plan. Like, yeah, people do this. People definitely. No, no.
Danielle
I definitely heard shower toothbrush. No. Yeah, shower beers. Yay.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Hey.
Brooke
Hey.
Danielle
You know how tricky it can be.

Danielle
I, I shower floss. So I can't like say because my dentist told me she was like a good way to do it.
Brooke
She said yeah, shower.
Danielle
So I can't, I just, I just.
Brooke
I don't do it every time. It's only on occasion. Special treat.
Danielle
You pre planned. Is it like in the morning or. It just depends.
Brooke
Usually not when I'm like yeah, when I'm tired I'm like, like I just want to have, have you bring the.
Danielle
Toothbrush, toothpaste in there?
Brooke
No, I pre like I do it outside. Yeah.
Danielle
It's so funny these little things that.
Brooke
I just don't know about. Yeah, that's, it's really not, not super frequent but I do like deal. Yeah. And then it's also when I'm like you know, doing the makeup removal in the shower too. Because like I just want to like get it all.
Danielle
It's the best. It really is. But then sometimes recently I've just been. I. I'm just like, I just need to take my makeup or if it's like, I just. It's like I got home from the day, but I'm not getting in the shower yet. My cellar water, it really works and I've been using it to wash my makeup brush. Just like that's great. Micellar water is so back in my life, you know, like you just go through phases of total. You're like, why did I stop? It's so great.
Brooke
I. I get that I've been off of it. Maybe I gotta get back.
Danielle
It's really. I think these cleansing pads are what make. They're very soft. It just feels so good.
Brooke
So it's like a little thing. Yeah.
Danielle
That's glam on the go for you. I need to hear about your bender of a weekend. And I think we start on Friday.
Brooke
Guys. Like, yeah. I mean, okay. By the sounds of it, like you guys are gonna be like, oh, you're obsessed. Like. And I'm really like not is the thing. Like. I just want to clarify by saying that first, but because it does sound like I am like I have an issue.
Danielle
Like wait, no. And by the way, it's so normal to be into an artist. Me with.
Brooke
No, definitely. And I definitely am into an artist. But like I. I don't like travel for this artist. I don't like whatever. Like when they come to town, like I. I'll. I'll see him. So like. But I just like a dj. I like house music. I love to. Honestly, I found out something about myself this weekend because a lot of the times I found myself dancing alone. I was like, I'd love to have dance. Like I love to dance. Not in a way that's like super like, you know, break it down. But I love like a one. Cuz house music has such a good beat that you just like step back and forth and then you kind of like like.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
And I love it.
Danielle
If so regular.
Brooke
It's freeing. Yes. Your mom would be into it.
Danielle
Yeah, for sure. Brooke loves to dance.
Brooke
I. I really do got to get.
Danielle
The manchild dance going because someone said.
Brooke
They were like about going to festivals. Like I love to go dancing. And I was like, that's what it is. It's literally going dancing. Like it. But like it sounds so geriatric when you put it like that. Like, I'm gonna go dancing.
Danielle
But like, but it is that's why I, like, if I'm going out, I'm like, I want to dance. Like, I want to go dancing. So if it does sound like our mom's like, let's go dancing. Yeah, but it's so true.
Brooke
That's exactly what it is. I feel the same way. I'm like, at a bar and stuff. I want to be like, singing songs, dancing, jumping up and down, like. Or I want. Yeah, well, if you talk, you have to scream. That's the other thing.
Danielle
Yeah, you're over exerting yourself. So, John.
Brooke
John. Yeah, so John Summit. He's a DJ that I've been seeing now. The first time I saw him was 2022, and then I saw him again in 2023, and then in 2024, like, at Madison Square Gar. You guys know I've talked about it last year. Whatever. So, like, I have been a fan for a while. Like, oh, I'll say that. I'll say it. And I found out earlier in the week, actually, you two Lululemon, like, reach out to us and they were like, you know, sign this NDA. We have a big artist coming to town and they're gonna, like, host a run. And I was like, I told you. I was like, I know who it. The artist is because it's. It has to be this person. Because I'm going. I'm going.
Danielle
Oh, you put Saturday too.
Brooke
I knew immediately upon receiving it. And also, like, there's only certain DJs that, like, would be into something like that.
Danielle
You know, it's like an active person.
Brooke
Yes. Like, there's not gonna be be like a res run. Like.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
You know what I mean? Like, there's like, certain things that just, like, it's on brand for him to do a Lululemon run. Like, it makes sense.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
And it was basically like, they didn't announce it yet, and they were gonna do it. The first 400 people to literally show up to the store got tickets.
Danielle
Wow.
Brooke
That's how it worked. And that's what. So everyone was like, I want to my. Like, they worked around the corner or something. Like, it was a lot of groups of co workers.
Danielle
Wow.
Brooke
Yeah. But they were like, we'll give you a ticket, but we can only give you 1. No plus 1. 1. So I took Mal's advice and I went to this event alone, and I flopped, Danielle. I flopped so hard. It was so hard to make.
Danielle
Didn't you run the whole time?
Brooke
Oh. Oh, no, I ran. So it was a run. It was a one mile Run. Like, you don't need to run next to people for that. Like, I also was at a pace that you don't probably. No one wanted to be at.
Danielle
You don't want to be worrying about, like, keeping up with other people.
Brooke
No, no. That was, like, right away. Like, we got there, and it was kind of like, run. But then once you, like, got there and, like, then we were at the vessel, basically. Then he was doing the surprise guys set at the vessel, which. It was the coolest thing ever. I cannot stress that enough. Like, New York is so cool like, that, where there's just, like, random experiences that you. You get in a line for. Literally, it's all back online. But I was, like, trying to be social with people, and, like, it was really hard for me. I don't know what was wrong with me.
Danielle
No, it's. It's tough. And also, guys, I was. I was supposed to be in the video. I was supposed to go with Brooke, and then I. The day before, I canceled because I just couldn't handle it. And I just. I don't run. I don't go for these little jogs that Brooke does. I was freaking out about the running. Like, it was gonna be a whole thing.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
But I'm proud of you. Obviously. Like, you're like, I'm obviously still going. And I feel like when it's music, it's easier because you. You're all looking at.
Brooke
You're so right. You know, there was, like, a place to, like, direct your attention. You don't, like, really need to talk, but it's, like, kind of fun to talk.
Danielle
What were you. Were you just trying to, like, vibe with the people near you?
Brooke
Yeah. Even then. Like, then when we arrived at the vessel, there was, like, a line to get in because they did, like, a security check, which was really interesting.
Danielle
Oh, they do that for the vessel. Yeah.
Brooke
Is it always the vessel open, Open?
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Oh, you did?
Danielle
Yeah. Because she wanted to, like, bless. It was the whole thing. I know, I know. No, we need to.
Brooke
Oh, my God. What? What do you mean? Like, you just said that so casually, as if, like. Yeah, like.
Danielle
Well, because it had been closed for so long, because.
Brooke
Oh, yes, there's something.
Danielle
So she wanted to go and bring a new energy. I'm not even kidding.
Brooke
So she brings physically something.
Danielle
No, she just blessed it. She was like, this is, you know, so upsetting. Like, I. This is such a beautiful piece of art.
Brooke
When did she enjoy.
Danielle
This was in. Did we do a live show this past December? Yeah, it was around our live show when they had just opened it and so we went. She blessed it. I think it was around then.
Brooke
Amazing. So anyways, so by the time I got there, it was blessed. So I'm good.
Danielle
Yeah, it was blessed by the time.
Brooke
That's why the vibes were so good. Yeah, that's exactly why. Amazing.
Danielle
How are the acoustics?
Brooke
Honestly? Better than expected.
Danielle
Good.
Brooke
Yeah, it was. It was definitely really cool. But once again, like this was the start of a long weekend of John Summit and it was a long. Lot of Johnson, like cumulative. By the end of the weekend, I heard him play for six hours. Like that's a lot.
Danielle
You know what I mean? That's so cool.
Brooke
It's a lot of repeated songs.
Danielle
But I guess with DJs especially, it's not like he's. Did he talk at all?
Brooke
Yeah, they go New York City. Oh, the we feeling, baby. That's what he says. Yeah.
Danielle
He's such like a happy looking person.
Brooke
He. He's so like normal.
Danielle
Like that's normal is the word.
Brooke
No, he was literally like an accountant in Chicago and then just. Just like learned how to DJ and was like, all right, I guess I do this now. Like, you know, it's just DJ crazy. Yeah. So crazy. So that was cool. And honestly the run was worth it. It was a mile. It was on a. They closed off the. The High Line.
Danielle
So beautiful too.
Brooke
So that's why it was cool. Cuz it was like a very like cool experience. Lululemon does a lot of these actually. Like when I signed up for it, it was like, have you done a Lululemon run before? And it popped up with the options. Apparently they do these everywhere.
Danielle
They're in the system.
Brooke
Yeah. So you know, it was like, did you participate in like the. The Lululemon fun run in Milwaukee? Like they have like a bunch of like fun events.
Danielle
I love.
Brooke
Yeah. So then Saturday came around and then it was. I already had tickets then to go to his music festival which.
Danielle
Did you buy a one day.
Brooke
So I. When they first came out forever ago, I bought Ben and I tickets actually.
Danielle
I was like, yeah.
Brooke
It was like kind of. This was kind of his birthday gift. Now they think about it like I was like, oh, let's go. Like. And we knew the date wise like would work with him. Him with school. And that's also why I texted you. I remember being like, unfortunately, like Ben has to work on the day after, so we have to go on your birthday. But I'll. That's why it all happened the way it did. But then I got. So I fully had tickets purchased, but then I got reached out to by the organization, I guess.
Danielle
Finally, finally noticed community I.
Brooke
The recognition.
Danielle
Because we always say, like, Audrey Challenger is always getting all these cool invites for DJs. Brooks, like, what the. I want in.
Brooke
I still haven't been buying the DJ booth, but that's, you know, I think I was actually in a different tier, to be honest, in this level.
Danielle
Yeah, I'll tell you that. There you go.
Brooke
Because I was looped in then with the media, basically. That's what I got, like a media pass. So that's what I ended up getting. And I. The first. I was really figuring out what the wristband got me.
Danielle
Yeah. Like. And you're such a rule follower. You're like, I don't want to, like, test the limit. Or maybe you did. I don't know. I don't know.
Brooke
I didn't want to. But then I said to Ben at one point, because we were like, being weird. Like, we were like, kind of like tiptoeing around and everybody else around us was being so cool. And I literally looked at him, I was like, I think we just need to act with confidence. And this is where something shifted. And then, like, we. I. I've never seen such a transformation. Like, we stood up taller and just.
Danielle
We own this place and no one.
Brooke
Questions if you just act confident, honestly.
Danielle
So true.
Brooke
And we were in spaces where we literally were allowed to be in and belonged and stuff. But, like, for some reason, we just were like, we need to act like we do belong here, you know?
Danielle
No. Would say that.
Brooke
Exactly.
Danielle
On your way to the event, think, what do I want?
Brooke
How do I want to leave Randall's Island?
Danielle
Exactly. What do I want people to say about me?
Brooke
Island. Oh, that's good. Oh, my God. I want them to say that.
Danielle
I really want to start doing that, though. No, for sure.
Brooke
I didn't think about that. Honestly. I was just like, I just got to get through.
Danielle
Yeah, I just got to.
Brooke
Yeah. So I was trying to figure out, like, what the band got us and stuff. You know, we tried to go to a few places we weren't allowed. There was like a really nice, like, security guy who was like, look, doesn't get you on the stage, but it gets you right here in the front. And it basically was in front of the barricade.
Danielle
Like, it was in front of literally thousands of people.
Brooke
Totally. No, there was. It was 50, 000 people behind the barricade, like, looking at the stage because it was like the main stage. And you. If you guys have been to a festival before, you know, they have the middle section like, carved out usually, for paramedics, for media, for everything. Because they throw water bottles from there.
Danielle
Oh, yes.
Brooke
And that's, like, where I was able to go basically down the center and around the side.
Danielle
That would feel legal to me.
Brooke
No, I went there and, like, was taking pictures and, like, walking down, and I could tell everyone's looking at me like, who is she? Who is she? Like, I'm like, I'm no one.
Danielle
You're the celeb guy.
Brooke
Don't worry about me.
Danielle
Like, no, that's. So I guess. Yeah. Because probably other people there is, like, press. They're probably not all dressed up for it. Like, you were, like, people.
Brooke
Well, they were, like, legitimate photographers with, like, a camera run. And then I was like. I mean, I guess I technically am the media. Like, I was post. I was doing coverage. Like, I guess I was. And I saw the clipboard at one point with, like, all the other outlets, and it was, like, outlets. Like, it was like, I. Hard raves. Like, rave reviews.
Danielle
Like, oh, my gosh. Oh, my God. That's so cool, though. I'm so happy. It just means more of this for you.
Brooke
No, I feel really, really grateful. And it was. Oh, And. And so I wasn't gonna go the second day, but then I found out that I had the special pass, and I was like, does it work for the second day?
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
And they were like, yeah. I was like, I'm coming back. I'll be back tomorrow.
Danielle
And I saw either you or someone posted the schedule was lpg. Yes, Your peeps.
Brooke
I love her. And I love Cascade. You know Cascade?
Danielle
Yes.
Brooke
Oh, my. I know Cascade from old Michelle Phan videos because she used to use his music in the background.
Danielle
Literally. So good.
Brooke
So good. That's how it. Oh, this is, like, OG stuff. So good.
Danielle
And John. John headlined both nights. Is that.
Brooke
Yes. So the first night, I was like. That was good. It was fine. Like, second night, unfortunately for Ben, because he couldn't make it. The second night was awesome.
Danielle
Like, it was the energy, the crowd.
Brooke
No, the completely different set. Like, you could tell when he came out, like, there was a big boom. And I was like, we bring the boom. Like, literally, it was like, a different tone. Like, it was the first I'd hear he played songs. The second night he performed. Yes. That's what. That's what I would say the difference was interesting.
Danielle
I always think about that with music festivals. Like, what night's the biggest night? Like, in My head's always Saturday, but I think it's Sunday.
Brooke
Sunday was less people. But apparently people were saying Sunday was for his, like, real fans and Saturday was for the people who were like, like, I should go see John Solomon. Like. And it's so true, actually.
Danielle
Like, that.
Brooke
That makes sense because most people work on, you know, the day after Sundays with their.
Danielle
Like, they gotta go. Yeah, totally. But they're the real ones if they're there and they have to go to work the next day. I see what you're saying.
Brooke
100. Oh, and I do have a piece of advice for everybody who's listening to this. Like, you know, maybe you've been to a festival concert, whatever. Also, I'm so lucky that I had this. My earplugs. Because I was right next to the speaker. Like, the speaker was facing me. I would be deaf. I actually would be like.
Danielle
You'd be like, what, Danielle?
Brooke
Yeah. And I could already feel myself slipping a little bit. So I'm big on the ear protection. And I used to make. I, I. I'll admit it to myself. I used to see other people at concerts, and I'd be like, that. That is so lame. Like, it is not. Like, I have to tell you. And these are so chill. I have, like. These ones are called.
Danielle
Yeah, you posted. I couldn't even see it.
Brooke
There's no. They were in it the whole time. And, like, inconspicuous. Some people have ones that, like, have, like, little attachments and whatever, and they're like, what, these? So chill. So effective. 40 bucks. I think their Eargasm is the brand. It's a little weird name. It's a little.
Danielle
But I. No, I was at one of the Fashion Week shows I went to. They had earplugs on each seat. And, like, they had it because they were doing a live band, and we were in, like, this garage thing, and I sat down. I was like, it's the first boom. Like, the first. You see everyone put them in, like, and they really do work. You could still hear everything.
Brooke
That's the thing. I still heard every single beat. Like, yeah.
Danielle
It's not Muffley. Like, you think.
Brooke
Not at all. All. Especially when it's. I get it now, really, because it's just so loud. Like, especially. I mean, there was. I was right next to the speaker.

This fall, Ross makes it easy to show up, feel good and work your magic. Whether that's an epic girls brunch, clocking a first date look, or just running errands in your power coat, I just picked up a few fall must haves. I was also right next to at one point. Then Friday and Saturday, but really Saturday. His mom, John's mom. John's mom. No time. People are up and down the aisle like they're screaming her name and stuff. And I was like trying to like push myself as far away as possible because I was like, I. I want her. Like everybody knows her. Like everybody knows her. Like, I don't want to. No.
Danielle
And I don't want to be like, I'm not. Like, I think you're his new girlfriend.
Brooke
No, no, trust me, that would be on the stage then with every other.
Danielle
Maybe you want to be different.
Brooke
I'm so different.
Danielle
Is he like in a relationship right now? Do we know publicly?
Brooke
No idea.
Danielle
Like him and Ashton are old.
Brooke
No, no, no. Know that's. Yeah. Long time over. What else was I going to say about.
Danielle
Loves the outfits.
Brooke
Oh, and. But then I was going to say like, congrats, mom. But I felt weird.
Danielle
Oh, like you should be so proud of your son.
Brooke
Obviously she's proud. She like teared up. Like, obviously she's proud. But 50,000 people are here for like.
Danielle
Was that his first festival that he.
Brooke
Did of his own first festival. Like headline festivals. But this was like he put on the.
Danielle
That's a big deal. Cuz we've got fire fest. Like things could have happened.
Brooke
Like totally.
Danielle
It sounds like it was pretty organized other than the.
Brooke
I mean the last time they tried to do a festival there, Yuzu, it was.
Danielle
Oh yeah, yeah. Canceled.
Brooke
It was. The first day was canceled and then the second day was delayed and then it was just like a show from what I heard it was. And they still never refunded the people. Whatever. It was a mess. So shout out to John Summit. Then after, directly after Saturday, I raced to you to your party.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Had a great time. And I, I mean.
Danielle
And you went again on Sunday.
Brooke
I had to go again on Sunday.
Danielle
I'm glad. Cuz clearly it was even I had friends.
Brooke
Friends going and I was like, look, I have these wristbands that they're special wristbands.
Danielle
They're special wristbands. No, I think you gave them a really good experience too. That's so fun.
Brooke
It was fun. I. I can't even believe myself. Honestly, I'm so the type to be like, no, I'm not going. But, like, I was really motivated to go.
Danielle
I could tell you're like, I don't know. Tomorrow.
Brooke
Yeah. And I was alone for a good amount of time because, like, they had, like, a group, so they were all, like, taking turns kind of coming in and stuff. So I would. I spent, like, a good amount of time, like, dancing alone. And honestly. Honestly, I felt good.
Danielle
Then that's when you learned you love to do confidence. Yeah, I love that.
Brooke
I like to go dancing.
Danielle
Let's go dancing. Now that now maybe you can.
Brooke
Sounds better than, like, clubbing.
Danielle
It does. Because that's really what it is. Like, clubbing is so, like, bottles are all these things.
Brooke
No, no, you want to. I don't care about. I just want the music. And I was drinking Beatbox. I was having a random time. I was drinking. I was only drinking. I was. But like, whatever I had had, like.
Danielle
So, yeah, it's like whatever they have that's easy to drink.
Brooke
Actually, I ordered a drink at the bar. I ordered. I was like, oh, I'll take the electric lemonade. It was like fresh squeezed lemonade and vodka. She, the girl hands me a cup with half of a, like, surfside can and the other half vodka. I drank the whole thing. I was like. And then I. I don't really.
Danielle
Did you feel it?
Brooke
That was on the way. Like, that was the last drink before I went to your party, actually.
Danielle
Yeah, that. Yeah. And then we were. I feel like you arrived and we immediately were on elevated surfaces singing no hands. It was incredible, actually.
Brooke
K, shout out to Katie for telling me to get up there. Katie was like, bro, go.
Danielle
I know. I was like, I'm up here alone. I didn't know how that happened.
Brooke
Katie was like, give me your phone. And you go up there.
Danielle
Oh, she took those phones.
Brooke
She's so real.
Danielle
Yeah, she's so real. She's just the number one real person. Yeah.
Brooke
Now you tell me everything about the birthday. Let's start the video. The beginning.
Danielle
No, I mean, I feel like we kind of covered most of it. Yeah. Like I said, Ryan and I were gonna have this housewarming and then it just kind of grew. So we had this place called Armada. I would highly suggest it because I feel like so many people in the city are trying to find bars to have birthdays at where you don't have to pay to rent the space. You just have to hit a certain minimum. And so that's what we did. We like paid for the minimum. And then after that, once it ended, I was like, Ryan, do not let me extend that. I didn't say anything about the DJ though. So I did extend the dj, but I'm so glad I did because I feel like it was the most bus in at like 11:30 midnight. And she was supposed to be done at midnight. Like, no way. But people are lucky because then at midnight it opened to the public. So then people just probably came down.
Brooke
Like they heard good tunes.
Danielle
They heard good tunes also.
Brooke
I did not realize because I was so disoriented. I feel like upon arrival, like where. The location of the bar across from Dudley. Yes, it's a great block. Also. That block is lit at night. I don't remember.
Danielle
They like had the street clothes with tables outside.
Brooke
Did you remember that? No, absolutely not. And there was like bars, Bars. There was a bar across the street. There was multiple bars and little strip. People are sitting at tables.
Danielle
It was our old neighborhood. It was very cute. Ryan and I got dinner beforehand across the street at Dudley's together.
Brooke
Oh, you did?
Danielle
Yes, just the two of us. Because we were like. I was like, how do we pick? Like, not pick, but it's like if we were to do a dinner before, it's like all of our close friends, like, we want to see them.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah.
Danielle
So we were like, let's just go to dinner, the two of us. But I feel bad for him. I was just a wreck. I was just so. I was like aunt antsy and stuff. And I like, I don't know. So I just like the whole dinner we were just stressed about the. Not stressed, but you know, and you're just like, yeah, the pre party and I last minute decided to hire this photographer that I met during fashion week who is hilarious, I guess was he. Yeah, he got some photos of us like dancing and stuff.
Brooke
But he. I need to honestly, you sent me a thing with 700 photos I didn't really look through.
Danielle
You're not in a ton of them because like he was supposed to. Supposed to leave. It was lucky that he even. He was supposed to leave at 11 and he just decided to stay and just. He literally was having. He didn't charge me extra. He was just like, I was having so much fun. Like it was hilarious. But we had him take photos of me and Ryan before the event and I was like, I'm Just sick of. Like, every year I had a party. It's like, I stand in the empty bar and take these photos, which we did some, but I was like, let's take some out front. I didn't realize there was going to be all those people out front because there's everyone's outdoor dining and stuff. And this guy, because he's like, like a. I found him because he's like a paparazzi guy. Like, you know, he does street style photography during fashion week and stuff. So he's very used to that. So he was like, okay, now I want you two to weave through the crowd and the tables. I was like, literally, no. Like, I'm not doing that.
Brooke
Like, yeah, that's tough.
Danielle
Like, not inside, outside people that weren't with us, you know. Oh, my God, it was so funny. But he took some fire photos of me and Ryan, like, walking across, leaving.
Brooke
They were great. They were very cool. Very, very, very cool.
Danielle
I was so happy. Like, I'm literally. I'm not, like, big pictures in the house person.
Brooke
Oh, to like, have your.
Danielle
Yeah, yeah. Like, I. For myself. But I was like, we should get these framed in black and white and, like, put them up.
Brooke
You should have a few photos.
Danielle
No, we definitely should.
Brooke
A few. I. I don't think it needs to be like, a home where it's like, yeah, and here's his graduation.
Danielle
Yeah, here's my diploma.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
But no, these were just, like, artsy. Like, I. There's one of Ryan and I at the bar talking, and the photographer captured this moment. Moment. I was like, that is so, like, I'll never forget it. It was just.
Brooke
That's sweet.
Danielle
The best night. And it was, like, the perfect amount. I. I was so bent on like, every year after my birthday, I am so hungover. Like, I mean, you know, I, like, can't even look at my phone. Like, and that's just ridiculous. So I think not having a pregame really helped and just, like, having a state. I had a steak dinner before we walked in.
Brooke
Wow.
Danielle
And then I. I think I had three drinks total throughout the night, and two shots only I stopped myself and I drank water in between. It was perfect. I, like, woke up the next day, Spring chicken. Like, actually, like, was excited to, like, talk to Ryan. And, like, because in the past, I'm like, I can't even talk about last night because, like, I'm gonna throw up thinking about the alcohol. Like, that's crazy. So it was. It was just so fun. Like, Ryan, we called the dogs, which was. Oh, my God. I've never heard him call the dogs harder in my life.
Brooke
I wasn't there for that, but I did.
Danielle
No, that was.
Brooke
I did see that.
Danielle
But you've seen it.
Brooke
I've seen.
Danielle
Many times you've seen him.
Brooke
I know. I was thinking. I was like, I guess no context is even needed at this point. Because I've seen him do it at the Georgia Bar. Like, you know, when it's game day. I've seen him do it on game day. Another time I've. But, you know, it. Birthday dogs.
Danielle
Like, he was like, I gotta call the dogs. I was like, all right, Marissa, turn the music down. And thankfully, at that point, a lot of, like, our George friends were there. So enough people repeated it, but that was fun. And he also wanted to do the two step. So we. Like, the two step. That's like his favorite. So he fully broke out and danced for everyone. It was just, like, so fun.
Brooke
Fun.
Danielle
And I feel like sometimes Ryan and I are both really social and at parties, we'll, like, not even see each other all night. But we went in with the conscious thing of, like, let's make sure we're together.
Brooke
It's giving wedding.
Danielle
It was kind of giving wedding. I can't even lie. But it was a good. Like, it really. It really was. Because the next day we were looking at the photos. We're like, oh, I didn't know those people talked. Like, but it was so fun. And if it's any prediction of, like, what our wedding one day would be, like, it was so fun. Like, I just feel so grateful. Like, we've curated such an amazing group of friends. Like, I just. Everyone in that room, I just love.
Brooke
So much you guys have such good friends, too. Like, that's the thing.
Danielle
I feel, like, really grateful.
Brooke
Very, very, like. And it is, like, quality over quantity. But you. There still is quantity.
Danielle
A lot of people brought, like, their friends. Like, it was really, like, we probably invited, like, 30 or 40 people. And then they brought.
Brooke
Yeah, you know, that's still, like, a lot of people. Good relationships with, like, not like, oh, I've met you once or twice. Like, really, like, these are the quality friends. So, like, almost, like, know your family. Like, you know what I mean?
Danielle
And thank God we had just talked to Mel. Call back to Mel again. Because there was like, there's just people that, like, in my past parties, I remember you'd be like, you invited that person. Like, remember, you'd be like, I. You know, it was like, one person I met one time because I just. But this party Was like a smaller party where I was like, you know what? Let them be upset at me. Like, if they were at this party, they would understand why they're not here. Because it's like, I wanted most people, like, kind of knew each other or news. Like, really it was.
Brooke
Or they had like a group, like, like their friend. Like, I know what you're talking.
Danielle
It wasn't this whole big, like, influencer. No, no, no party. Like, it was like, maybe you didn't.
Brooke
Send her on the link. Like, I feel like in the past, like, you, like, invite anybody.
Danielle
Like, yeah, that wasn't like this. I was just like, people that we love. So I feel like I had one or two notes, but maybe I said it. Thank you.
Brooke
No. That's so nice that you guys stuck together. And you really do have such good friends. Both of you, separately. I mean, I love.
Danielle
I feel so great. Grateful. It was so fun. No.
Brooke
Yeah, that was so.
Danielle
The only thing is, I don't even know if you know this. Do you know Delaney's phone got stolen?
Brooke
I do know Delaney's phone. We tried not to tell you, actually.
Danielle
Yeah. I didn't find out to the end. So it had been happening.
Brooke
Yeah, I was. I was like. I knew from the beginning. Like, she was like, oh, my phone's on here. And. And then, like, we literally searched the whole bar. You know what I mean?
Danielle
Wow, you guys did a great job. I had.
Brooke
Yeah, we definitely. I mean, it's not like we talked. We're like, don't tell Danielle. But I could tell everyone that Delaney was, like, trying to keep it low key and like, she's such a friend.
Danielle
Panic.
Brooke
She's so chill. I aspire to be.
Danielle
She's so chill. No, she was like. She was more worried about, like, her icloud and stuff. And I was like, I feel like her Venmo.
Brooke
She told me and I didn't even think about that. I was like, oh, my God, you are so right. Because you could just open Venmo and Venmo. Yeah, any amount.
Danielle
Like, like, totally. But I guess, like, I feel like a lot of times they just wipe the phone because they just totally.
Brooke
And it's a locked phone. I think if it's unlocked, maybe they could do more.
Danielle
But yeah, she had a passcode. I wasn't too worried about that. I was just thinking, oh, my God. Cuz I remember the whole night she was filming things. I was like, oh, I'm going to.
Brooke
Ask her for that video later.
Danielle
But it was on her icloud. But I just Felt so bad. I was like, it. It was such a cheap night turned expensive night for her. But the next day she like handled it. She wasn't too hungover either cuz her and I both are usually so down bad after my birthday. Joking. And so she went. She got the new iPhone. She was so excited and it worked out, but I felt terrible. And another girl, I guess you know this too. Another girl's phone got stolen.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
So not great. I think that's when it got open to the public and someone was just.
Brooke
Which is. It's so weird though because I don't. It definitely is. Especially because Delaney like said where it was in her person, like that is. It was like facing her body. I don't even know how that's possible.
Danielle
Then though I did send her the photographer taking some video videos and they were around like 11:45 or something. And Delaney saw like me and her were sitting in the booth taking photos and her phone was just on the booth. So she's like, maybe it wasn't in my person, it was just on the booth and she forgot to get it or so. But either way it just sucks. So I felt really bad about that. But she. That's. Wow. I didn't know that you know too.
Brooke
Yeah, well, because I could tell she was like, where is it? And I was like, we'll find it. Like I was like, someone must have picked it up or like it's. It's got kicked under something. Yeah, whatever. But then like after you look for 30 minutes and you can't find. And you ask the bartender, it's no one. The odds are not good. Yeah.
Danielle
So there's some evil people out there. There are freaking rude.
Brooke
Which it's so crazy. Like too like stealing a phone at a bar. Like you really don't hear that much.
Danielle
Oh, I hear it all the time.
Brooke
Oh you do?
Danielle
Like, especially in Tampa. It like happened.
Brooke
I feel. I hear it at festivals and concerts.
Danielle
All the time in New York a lot. You're right. Like a tomorrow friends at least.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
I mean but festivals.
Brooke
Festivals and concerts. Like I feel like I've gone to venues where they have big signs that it's literally like have it under lock and key. Like not.
Danielle
Yeah, because no, you're right. It hadn't really happened in a bar in New York before to my friend.
Brooke
So especially like. And like, especially in that part. Like it was so low key.
Danielle
I know everyone's just having like who. Whoever did that. So annoying.
Origins Brand Representative
It is.
Danielle
But speaking of festivals, I need to look at your Instagram to get inspiration. Ryan and I this weekend are going to acl.
Brooke
Oh my gosh.
Danielle
I know. I haven't been to a festival in a minute. I gotta like get back. We're only going for two days, which I hate. But like Ryan has work and we just. We could. Because ACL is Friday, Saturday, Sunday. But we need to. We're going with T mobile. So we needed to be there Friday morning. And so we're gonna leave Friday.
Brooke
Saturday.
Danielle
We're leaving Sunday. So I'm missing T pain, which I'm really sad. There's a lot of fast and I'm missing John Summit. He's Sunday night night. But Ryan probably wouldn't have.
Brooke
No, no.
Danielle
But so Friday night is Luke Combs headlining, which will be so fun. So fun. I'm like boots and stuff.
Brooke
That.
Danielle
Yeah. I'm gonna kind of go westerny one day and then Saturday is Sabrina and.
Brooke
Oh, so you do Sabrina inspired. I mean.
Danielle
Yeah. Oh, I could do that. Maybe one western one Sabrina. That's fun. Thanks for the inspo. I'm excited because I'm gonna be really freaking annoying and annoy all of my haters and do the Manchester wild dance in person. Because that's so annoying. Because I was like, I need to do it. I mean she's gonna. Maybe she'll. I think she does it.
Brooke
She does it.
Danielle
She does.
Brooke
Yeah. Yeah. Because I. I was like, I kind of like doing it a little bit. I was like, it's on tick tock.
Danielle
You know, like it's a thing I'm excited about.
Brooke
Oh, that's gonna be.
Danielle
I know. I'm going to Texas.
Brooke
What else are you doing in Austin or is it literally just the festival?
Danielle
Pretty much just the festival as far as I know. Whatever T mobile tells me to do. I love T Mobile.
Brooke
I will do whatever team.
Danielle
But I was. I think that's why they asked me to go because it was Luke Combs. Like that makes sense. They know I love me some country and Sabrina, Luke Combs. And there's like so many other people that I'm excited to see. But anyways, I've heard good things about that festival.
Brooke
I feel like you're gonna have a nice.
Danielle
I know. I feel like people.
Brooke
I can tell you what everyone wore to this festival though. It was literally. It was giving Tate McRae but not actually.
Danielle
So just go to addicted. Like yes.
Brooke
Lots of head scarves. Like oh, people like tie it in their hair or like, like it was just forecasting worn a bunch ways because it's like a whole Thing because there's this, like, artist called Keeny music and people do it for like, one of.
Danielle
The people in it.
Brooke
Like, I'll explain. It's a whole thing.
Danielle
Okay.
Brooke
But not for necessarily for this thing that you're going to. But everyone wore, I swear, like, black micro mini shorts. Like, like, almost like spandexy material ones.
Danielle
Oh, wow.
Brooke
And like a tank top and then like a cool belt.
Danielle
Love like a.
Brooke
And then like the scar. Like, I've saw a variation of that outfit like five times.
Danielle
Sounds comfy.
Brooke
Yeah. Five times. Five million sometimes. Honestly. It did look comfortable.
Danielle
Yeah, Perfect. Okay.
Brooke
And then like, boots or like. Yeah, mostly boots. Like, people are kind of not really doing sneakers. These. I mean, I saw some, but most. A lot of boots. Yeah.
Danielle
Okay.
Brooke
They're kind of nice because, like, if you're in dirt and stuff, like sneakers. Yeah.
Danielle
You can kick. Kick your stale boots.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
I have a pair of, like, cool, like, micro shorts, but, like, they're not tight on me. They kind of flow out a little. I got them at Menwear Duke. So maybe I'll wear that with like a white tank and a big old chunky belt. Thank you. This is so helpful on the grounds.
Brooke
Oh, boots, boots.
Danielle
