Brooke
We're here to influence you guys. Things that have been changing our life recently.
Danielle
Guess where I have to go after this.
Brooke
Oh my God.
Danielle
Load bearing problem.
Brooke
I could say it. Whatever.
Danielle
No, I'm psychotic.
Brooke
I literally thought you're about to say something else. I might have overdone it being in my ludal phase.
Danielle
It's cheaper to get it in the meal.
Brooke
Deal, Fred. You know the good old fashioned way.
Danielle
Hey guys, what's up? Welcome back to gals on the go podcast.
Brooke
It's Brooke and Danielle. Happy Wednesday.
Danielle
Happy Wednesday. Hump day. That just felt natural today.
Brooke
It just. Sometimes it rolls off the tongue and sometimes we're silly.
Danielle
Very much so. Giving hump day energy. Just in the sense that, like it's gloomy outside. Like, I feel a little off.
Brooke
Do you feel a little off? I feel a little off.
Danielle
You do?
Brooke
I do. I woke up this morning, I felt bad. I went to a workout class with my friend and she was like trying to chat and I just, I had nothing to.
Danielle
Yeah. And some days are those days, you know?
Brooke
Yeah. You know, like, how are you? I was just like, I'm tired.
Danielle
Yeah. Nothing left. Nothing to give. Like a few minor inconveniences and you're just like, yeah, it's that vibe today.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
It's just that vibe. Like I'm upset that I'm wearing a jacket in the month of May. You know what I mean? Like, it's just.
Danielle
Yeah, just like a few things. Like.
Brooke
But that's okay.
Danielle
First world problems.
Brooke
No, it's. It's really nice. Like, obviously not to be dark, but since I've been going there so much, I'm like, I'm actually happy that today's problem is the weather for me.
Danielle
You know what I mean? That it's just like a Pete. Like otherwise.
Brooke
Otherwise good status quo.
Danielle
I know. I would imagine that like, you appreciate just like normalcy now.
Brooke
I really do. Like, I really didn't want to get out of bed this morning. I was like, but I'm so happy that that's my problem today. Yeah. You know, really, like, that's so true. Mindset shift.
Danielle
Wow.
Brooke
So.
Danielle
Well, I have to tell you something. I. Oh my God. This. Guess where I have to go after this.
Brooke
Oh my God. I have no idea. Can you give me a hint or is it. I'll never guess it.
Danielle
I don't think you're really gonna guess it.
Brooke
What?
Danielle
To get an X ray of my
Juan Naula
foot
Danielle
because I might have overdone it at the marathon. No, I know, I know. I might have a stress fracture in my foot from the marathon.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
So people warned me of this. That was the big thing in my DMs when I was like, you know, the training at the end has been lackluster. I did get a bunch of people, be careful. Stress fractures. And you know me, I'm like, of course I'm going to be completely fine. And I finished the race. I felt so good. Yeah. Yesterday I started noticing load bearing problems. Like when I would just stand. No standing up. Or like I was about. Luckily I didn't run on it. I was about to.
Brooke
You were gonna go for a run
Danielle
yesterday on the treadmill. I was like, I can like probably go for like jog on the treadmill. Like, I'm ready again.
Brooke
Wow. I'd give myself a week. I'd be like, sorry, tapped out for a week after.
Danielle
I just had a day. Like yesterday I had like an open day. So I was like, okay, this is my, you know, I'm trying to fit it in when. When I could. And I just have noticed it's been getting worse and worse. And like I've self diagnosed myself at this point, but I'm going to go and get imaging and see if it's true. I'm hoping that it's just the muscle problem, like the.
Brooke
Not what foot is it?
Danielle
My right foot.
Brooke
And are you like limping it hurts, like.
Danielle
Yeah, like, walking on it hurts, like. Yeah, I know. And Ben was like, you might have to wear a boot. And I was like, oh, no, I don't want to do the boot. But honestly, a boot's better than crotches, so I don't know. I was like, oh, this is. And you don't want it to get worse because basically you can heal something like this, they say in, like, four to six weeks. I'm like, self diagnosing. I don't know if this is true. I'm like. I'm just jumping at conclusions. Like, look, it's only four.
Brooke
Brook, the radiologist.
Danielle
Yeah. Yeah, literally. Can I send my scans to that?
Brooke
We used to do that all the time.
Danielle
Oh, my. Well, he might be able to tell me.
Brooke
Apparently.
Danielle
It's so tiny.
Brooke
Like. Yeah, it's like.
Danielle
It's not like a fully, like, broken foot, but.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
They say that if you overdo it, like, overstrain yourself, that this, like, can happen. I guess that's why you can't just go. Even if you're a fit person. Like, you can't just, like, run a marathon because.
Brooke
Are there things you can do or wear while you're running?
Danielle
No, no, I can't run. Oh, while you're running? To prevent.
Brooke
Yeah. Like, could you have more training?
Danielle
It's like, honestly, strength training, too. Like, it's like, getting stronger because it's like, a lot of running is, like, coming from, like, your calves, too.
Brooke
Okay.
Danielle
If that makes sense. Like, kind of like where you carry your weight. I also reviewed my photos from the marathon, and I ran with knock knees the whole time. So I. My form is all my knees were like. Like, I was running like this. No, if you watch on YouTube, you just saw that. I'm not joking. I was like, no, you gotta watch
Brooke
on YouTube to see what she does.
Danielle
No wonder my legs are bothering me. Am I like, calves, like, fly out knees?
Brooke
Is that a thing?
Danielle
Like, yeah, like, that's, like, not the right way. Like, it's completely incorrect. Yeah, I know. So now I'm just worried about it. I did, like, my first. I haven't. I did, like, a virtual urgent care call.
Brooke
Virtual urgent care call? What is that?
Danielle
Because I need a referral to get the X ray. I can't show up at the X ray place. That's how my insurance works. So I was like, okay, I'll just do the virtual one because it's, like, easy. And then he just gives me the referral right away. Like, it was, like, with a stranger. But he's Like, I told him I was like, just ran my first marathon. Like, you know, I did all this stuff. And he's like, can I see your foot? So I.
Brooke
No.
Danielle
Yeah. I did the call on my phone, luckily, but I was like, you can't really see anything. Like, it looks normal.
Brooke
He was probably looking to see if anything was, like, swollen or something.
Danielle
Yeah, I was like, it's not swollen. Like, that's why I don't really know. Anyways, there's a million things that it could be. I've never done physical therapy. Have you ever done physical therapy?
Brooke
No.
Danielle
Like, that's like, real athletes.
Brooke
Is that what you would have to do?
Danielle
I think if you really want to, like. And I'm not trying to, like, prep for another marathon tomorrow. I just like the. The idea of, like, normalcy and good day. Like, if you tell me I can't work out for four to six weeks, that actually will affect me at this
Brooke
point in my life. That will definitely affect you. I'm also thinking about all these weddings you have to go to and the
Danielle
heels and a boot. No, I literally have to wear a heel this weekend. I don't know what I'm gonna do. So stay tuned on that.
Brooke
You just wear flats.
Danielle
You, the dress. You're talking long enough. Yeah, that is hidden.
Brooke
Or like a little baby, baby, baby.
Danielle
Yeah, I mean, I'm definitely not supposed to. So anyways, that's where I'm at. You know, Things were going a little too smoothly post marathon for me. I was like, everything's great.
Brooke
Everything was lining up too much.
Danielle
Yeah, it really was. And I'm like, you know, I guess I'll just get this taken care of today when I have the time.
Brooke
But also knowing you, like, you err on the side of caution.
Danielle
I do. You're right.
Brooke
So maybe it's nothing.
Danielle
No, you're so right.
Brooke
And maybe it's like, it just needs to heal. I mean, I've had times where my foot hurts for, like, random reasons.
Danielle
Like a specific point in the foot.
Brooke
Yeah. Usually it's at the top of the foot. Is that. Is that the top of your foot?
Danielle
Not really. It's kind of like the side, like the outer edge underneath.
Brooke
On the right side or the left side?
Danielle
The right. So like the outer side.
Brooke
It could be your arches just hurting.
Danielle
But, you know, I hope it is.
Brooke
I do. I really hope you don't have to wear a boot. No, that's, like, embarrassing, like, bit, though, like.
Danielle
No, like, to me, it's like, it's not embarrassing, but, like, to me, I'm like, you know, showing up to a wedding with a boot. Like, Like, I. I feel like I'm like seeking attention.
Brooke
It's a dog.
Danielle
That's what I'm saying. Like, it's like, oh, oh. And what'd you do? It's like ran a half marathon, like.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah. Stress fracture. Oh my God. Wow. So you have to like go and do the whole thing.
Danielle
Apparently it's quick. I don't know, I've never really like.
Brooke
No, of course I break my wrist.
Danielle
I think I got an X ray for that. Yeah, I must have.
Brooke
You just put your right foot in. Yeah.
Danielle
So that's where I'm at. So sorry to hear this. So that was like feeling a little off, you know? Feeling a little off. I also just am having like an ugly week. Haven't had one in a minute.
Brooke
Oh my God, an ugly week.
Danielle
Are you feeling that?
Brooke
Oh my God. Like I can't like I'm trying to vlog this weekend. I'm like, oh, like I can't look at myself.
Danielle
I think you look great, by the way. But I.
Brooke
You too. But it's okay to feel that way.
Danielle
Like, haven't had skin issues in a while, like randomly, you know.
Brooke
Oh yeah, my skin. I got a facial too, but like my skin's just like really nice and red.
Danielle
My hair is not doing it for me this week because the weather. Right?
Brooke
Yeah, yeah, yeah, No, I know. I'm. I'm tracking it up to me being in my luteal phase.
Danielle
Oh, is that what.
Brooke
That's what they say about your luteal phase. You like feel ugly, you're bloated, like you just gross.
Danielle
Is that right before your period or after? Right before you got it.
Brooke
Oh, I don't know. Oh, I am right about to get my period, so I guess so. Oh, in like a week.
Danielle
Tracking the phases and stuff. Yeah. Cuz you're still off birth so you're like pretty regular then? Like with the. Or now?
Brooke
Yeah. Oh my God. I actually have a funny story. Oh God, I could say it, whatever. Obviously I've been home a lot with my dad and I feel like my dad and I have just gotten like a lot closer and we'll just like talk about really anything now. And I don't know why it came up. I couldn't tell you, but we're talking about birth control and my dad, we're just sitting there talking with other people. My dad straight up goes, wait, yeah, are you still not on birth control? And I was like, yeah, no, he's like, so what are you doing instead? And I literally wanted to crawl in my skin.
Danielle
Were you around other people?
Brooke
My mom and my aunt. And my mom goes, fred, you know, the good old fashioned way. I don't even know what she said.
Danielle
I literally wanted to die. Oh, my God.
Brooke
I didn't answer. I was dad, like. And my mom goes, you know, the.
Danielle
Get off.
Brooke
Oh.
Danielle
Oh, my gosh. That's really funny. But it is what everybody's wondering. No, like, he. See, that's like my intrusive thought. Like, but I wouldn't ask it in the group setting. It's funny that your dad knows your dad. I know.
Brooke
Oh, my God. Cuz I think he's just like, it. Whatever. I'll say whatever I want.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Oh, my God.
Danielle
But he also sees it like more medical, you know, for sure.
Brooke
And we've talked about this before. Everything too. But, like, he was just like, by the way. Yeah.
Danielle
He's like, well, we're talking about it. Like, what have you been doing?
Brooke
Okay, next question.
Danielle
That's really funny.
Brooke
Drink your water.
Danielle
I'm taking care of it.
Brooke
Yep, Taking care of it.
Danielle
It's handled.
Brooke
Oh, a little update. I mean, it's been a while now, but we've just had so much to talk about on the podcast. You already. I mean, I posted about it, but the Aritzia personal styling appointment was truly everything. It's chalked up to be obsessed. So fun. I went to the same stylist that Brooke did because we both went to the Aritzia and soho. But, like, I just. I. And I knew I was gonna love it, but it was amazing.
Danielle
It's. I've never experienced something quite like that before.
Brooke
Yeah. Like getting there. And they have clothes picked out for you. My whole outfit is Aritzia. Like, the top. And. And she was like. And I'm sure you too. She was like, you know, you can wear this jacket, and it pairs with this. And this. This top goes with these pants. Like, everything in Aritzia really is meant to be like this capsule collection. And it just opened my eyes to, like, my own closet too. Like, oh, that actually does go with that.
Danielle
Yes. I. They have a different, like, look on things. I feel like. Yeah. Because I would never like some of the pants that are ritzy. I'm like, I don't know how to style this totally. And then they just come up with the best combos. And you're like, it makes so much sense.
Brooke
It really makes so much sense. So I just. I feel like we've talked about it so much. I was so curious about Brooke's experience, so I had to come on here and tell you guys, you need to book an Aritzia personal shopping appointment. It's free. And then you just option to buy anything. I don't even think there's a minimum of like what you have to buy.
Danielle
There's. I mean, you're gonna wanting to like. Yeah, you know, I was like, oh, we'll see what I really need.
Brooke
And then sure.
Danielle
You know, you try on the best T shirt of your life and you're like, I mean, I need it. Because it's also like flattering. It helps get a lot of new basics. And that was good.
Brooke
Yeah, like new basics. I found my new favorite pair of a gold day jeans.
Danielle
Oh, that's.
Brooke
Who would have thought? And so it was great. So I'm really, really happy I did it. It was really funny. I don't. Did they do this for you? They like walked me out of the store. I had so many bags. Oh, no, I did like, we'll escort you out.
Danielle
No, I didn't get the walk out. No, no. I did get asked if I wanted a glass of wine at like 3pm I was like, I am all set.
Brooke
I think I am. I'll spend even more money.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
And also like, did you get a coffee? I did a latte.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
That's fun.
Danielle
Yeah. Because it is the coffee shop free if you shop there.
Brooke
I think so.
Danielle
That's pretty cool. It's pretty good too.
Brooke
It was pretty good. And there are these cups like I'm. We're not being sponsored to say this right now. I just think it's so fun.
Danielle
It just is a great place.
Brooke
Yeah, it's a great place. Like I. I have so many outfits for Japan now. I feel like I'm tempted to go back again for Japan. But no, I'll just use what I have.
Danielle
You can mix and match with, you know, pieces. You're only going for a week, so you. Yeah, like, that's not.
Brooke
Yeah, it's been fun like seeing like that brand trip that happened a couple weeks ago. The girls in Korea, like seeing what they were wearing, stuff like that, you know.
Danielle
Yes. To get the style and everything. Yeah.
Brooke
Oh, my mom is now like obsessed with Clara. Clara purse.
Danielle
Oh, is that a new.
Brooke
Well, do you remember when my mom was meeting Clara in Cape Cod? Claire was like, I'm nervous because your mom like loves Brooke and Katie. She's like always dming them. I was like, I promise, like once my mom Meets you, she's in. You're in. Like, she's in your DMs. She responds to everything. They can attest. And it took a little minute, but now, yes, my mom is replying to all of her things. My mom sent me a text yesterday wearing a face mask inspired by Clara. I'm like, I wear face masks? Yeah.
Danielle
You're like, Claire invented face masks.
Brooke
Okay, Clara. But she's like, I'm just. I loved Clara's Korea content. Like, I'm just obsessed. Wow. She has a new obsession now, which is Clara.
Danielle
Oh, that's so great.
Brooke
I mean, I get it. We're all obsessed with Clara.
Danielle
No, of course, of course. I mean, her content right now is killing it. She, like, goes on a brand trip and she, like, goes home, like, doesn't sleep and like, will edit all of her videos right away.
Brooke
It's amazing.
Danielle
It's a me. I'm like, I take all the footage and then I, like, go home. I'm like, oops, forgot to edit. Oops.
Brooke
That would have. That would have been good to post.
Danielle
There's like so much lost footage that I have. I. I really need to get better about that. Lost the uncovered footage, the files. Yes.
Brooke
Brooke Michio on film 2009.
Danielle
Yeah, there's so much on there. If you go through my phone library, you're like, I feel like there's probably like so many versions of like TikToks and things that I could have made that would have like, maybe done well, but I just. I miss it in the moment.
Brooke
You know what? Like, do you have a ton of Japan content still that you want to post, like, short form stuff or like. No, like, not.
Danielle
I didn't film any sounds. I didn't save any sounds.
Brooke
Honestly, I haven't. Yeah. What sounds would you do?
Danielle
I mean, I could have, like. I don't film Tik Toks with Ben. I just don't, like, it's just not.
Brooke
Yeah, no, it's not.
Danielle
It's not, you know.
Brooke
No, I guess I meant more so like trying this fried sandwich or.
Danielle
But there's like, you know, the just travel ones where you do like the. You show either your outfits or you say like, oh, like, let's go. Like, where should we go? I don't know. Let's get matcha.
Brooke
Okay.
Danielle
Like where?
Brooke
Where?
Danielle
I guess Japan. Like.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Actually. Yeah, that one is really big, I suppose.
Danielle
Oh, that's. There's some. That would have made sense. Clara would have had them all saved, ready to go. Like, yeah, my brain doesn't think that way. I. I did put together a good vlog, I'll tell you that. Everybody really likes to watch it. Like it.
Brooke
So it's a movie, I heard. Yeah, no, it's a real movie. It.
Danielle
And I'm happy about the response on that, so I'll take it.
Brooke
No, I want to sit on my couch and watch it like with popcorn and like take notes.
Danielle
That just made me like really want popcorn.
Brooke
I know. Yeah.
Danielle
And like a good movie. Devil Wears Pride, we need to see.
Brooke
Yeah, need to see Devil Wears Prada. And there's another movie I'd like to see. I'll have to get back to you on that. There's another one that people are talking about. Am I wrong? Perhaps I'm wrong. Perhaps a salad, perhaps. Perhaps. Yeah, perhaps not.
Danielle

I mean, we all know I love to throw in some Drake, take my time doing my hair and makeup and enjoy that, oh my gosh, that perfect pregame drink. Yes.
Danielle
I feel like the perfect pregame truly sets the tone for the night. And what better way to set the tone than with Malibu Pink. It's truly the best summer Get Ready with Me drink. It's vibrant, it's bold. It's got fun new fruity flavors of guava, pineapple and coconut.
Brooke
No, I already know Malibu Pink will be coming with us on all of our girls trips this summer. It's perfect for the girls like us me who like to take shots. But if you're not one for shots, it also pairs perfectly with a lemonade for a cute and easy cocktail moment. I feel like I would do the shot you would do like the cocktail.
Danielle
Yeah, I'm definitely going to be sipping it as a mixed drink. But while I get ready also, it's like this gorgeous, vibrant pink color. We talk about it. You guys know that's my favorite color. Scream summer.
Brooke
And with rooftop season here, you guys, I know. You know, we all know Brooke really wants me to throw a rooftop party at my apartment. Call back to a few episodes ago. Malibu Pink will be there as my get ready with me hype up drink.

Danielle
No, I just am so excited for what we're going to talk about today because I need inspo. I'm feeling, like, ugly. Like, just things. Yeah, my makeup isn't makeuping. Like, I'm just in one of those phases where I just want to throw everything away and start over, which I'm not actually going to do. But yeah, I feel like I want to do that. So.
Brooke
No, I completely.
Danielle
That leads us to our topic today.
Brooke
That leads us to our topic today, you guys. We're going to be talking about things that are just. We're obsessed with right now. One could say favorites. One could say these are just like a coma. I mean, I have, like, some really random things. I know you said you do too. And we never tell each other before because it's fun because I end up, like, buying half the things that Brooke tells me about.
Danielle
Hey.
Brooke
Hey. So we're. We're here to influence you guys. Things that have been changing our life recently. I would say.
Danielle
Amazing. Let's hop into it. Mine are also really random and I have a lot of things from Japan, cuz.
Brooke
Oh, wait, that's fun. See, I like that.
Danielle
Yeah, cool stuff that I got there.
Brooke
She just went to Japan.
Danielle
Yeah, I did. I'll start off with these. They're from Japan. These steam heat slash eye masks. I will send a picture because the packaging is in Japanese, but they're called MEG Rhythm, if that helps. So they're like cotton eye masks. I mean, they're not any. Like, they're disposable.
Brooke
Okay.
Danielle
But somehow when you open them up, they get warm and not hot, but lightly warm.
Brooke
Wow.
Danielle
Yes. They're amazing. I think I've just had a lot of problems recently. I think I had, like a light sinus infection maybe last week because I had a lot of, like, pain in that area. Like, you know, in your sinus or it could be allergies.
Brooke
Total. I had that a couple weeks ago
Danielle
where you just feel and then it like, translated to a headache. Like, I don't really know what was going on. All I know is that, like, I woke up in the middle of the night with, like, pain and then I like ripped one of these open and I put it on and Like I just. If you immediately relieve my pain. I like falling asleep with them on. They're very popular.
Brooke
Sleeping mask. Like that's the shape of them.
Danielle
Yes. So it is a. Like a disposable sleeping mask essentially that gets slightly warm. It says 40 degrees Celsius. What is that in. Oh, I'm not good. I'm gonna run out of them soon though, so I really need to figure out where I can purchase. Oh, hey, forgot about.
Brooke
Where'd you get them? At that beauty store that the woman.
Danielle
No, no, they sell them. They sell them, honestly, at like 7:11. Yeah, those places. The convenience stores or donkey. Oh, so yeah, the wire place where she tried to sell me the.
Brooke
The donkey.
Danielle
Yes, the donkey. Yeah, try it out.
Brooke
Wait, I really. That sounds really lovely. Honestly, my first one is also so random. But you'll appreciate it. It's the tranquilla decaf latte in a can.
Danielle
Oh, yes. Okay, let's hear about these because I haven't tried them.
Brooke
Yeah, well, you. I guess you don't drink decaf. Yeah, but you have like a connection to the company or whatever. But guys, it's so cool. It's literally a latte in a can. Just like, you know, they sell a lot of these, but it's decaf. Like I've never seen that before. And it's really delicious. You can drink it out of the can, which I've done. Or I'll put it over ice and put a little hazelnut syrup in it. And it's like I just have a latte. It's so quick. Like, I just love that. Decaf's getting some love. I guess that's why I'm like really excited. I think they now sell it. If you're in New York at Pop Grocer, it's in like West Village area. Like that's just so exciting. What?
Danielle
Pops.
Brooke
Pops. Pops. Pops said to go to Pop Grocer. And I just think it's the coolest thing and I've been really enjoying it. Like when I go home from the podcast today, I'm gonna pour it over ice. Actually the other day, cuz I've been drinking a lot of like half caffeinated things. I did a normal shot of espresso, threw it over my detector. Wow. Yeah, I'm pretty crazy.
Danielle
Yeah, you're getting pretty crazy with it. Will you finish it? Like because you finish your coffees.
Brooke
Yeah, of course.
Danielle
That's impressive.
Brooke
Yeah, for sure. So highly suggest like regular milk. Yeah, regular milk. It's a regular milk.
Danielle
Decaf latte.
Brooke
Decaf latte in a can. So sometimes I'm like, whoa, this is weird. Drinking it out of a can. So.
Danielle
But like la cologne does it in cans.
Brooke
Yeah, it's literally like a lot cologne latte, decaf, but decaf. And that just like isn't found a lot. And it's like premium coffee, they say. So I assume it's like really nice whole good beans.
Danielle
Yeah. You're like, literally. I heard about this before. Like they got sent to you and I literally said to. To Ben out loud. I was like, this is made for Danielle. Like when they're like putting together, like they're the target demographic, like, you are the profile.
Brooke
Like, it's like addicted to decaf coffee. Yes. No, it's perfect. And I just hope that. I hope that tranquilla blows up and then it's sold everywhere, because then I'll have decaf wherever I go. Like, I'm worried about Japan. Like, I don't like.
Danielle
But you would you do like a T? I mean, they're big.
Brooke
Oh, of course. Yes, I would do a T. But if I'm like, I really want to decap latte, like, I don't know what that. I'm gonna have to look it up probably can.
Danielle
I didn't inquire about it, honestly.
Brooke
Of course. Why would you imagine. I'm like, hey, could you. Could you ask around?
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
But yeah, that's my first favorite love that. Wait, is your phone case Japan?
Danielle
Yes, I got casetify.
Brooke
Oh my.
Danielle
Yeah. Isn't that so cute?
Brooke
That is so cute. The vending machine, the cherry blossom, the deer.
Danielle
The Nara deer. Yes. And then the mountain, Mount Fuji.
Brooke
Was this customized for you?
Danielle
I. We. There was a Japan exclusive section in the case device store in Japan.
Brooke
You went to the case device store in Japan?
Danielle
Yes, I got it in Japan.
Brooke
Oh, you bought. I thought they like sent it to you.
Danielle
No, no, I fully bought this, like, and they didn't even give me the discount. They're like, oh, if it's your first purchase, you qualify for 10% off. They like put in my email. They're like, no, you don't.
Brooke
Cuz you've bought.
Danielle
Yeah, yeah, but I just needed a new phone case. When I was there, I just. I didn't. I had a whole thing. I was like, I need a new phone case. Like now. Like, I don't know, immediately now.
Brooke
Forget the shrines, I need to get a new phone.
Danielle
But it was like the last day of the trip that I ended up getting it. The whole trip. I was like looking for the perfect one.
Brooke
And then I finally found her reminders of your trip.
Danielle
Yeah, it's nice.
Brooke
Reminders of her.
Danielle
Hey. And it's, like, mirrored, too.
Brooke
Yeah, that's nice. You can use it to reapply your lipstick, Brooke.
Danielle
Yeah. Which I probably need to do.
Brooke
Oh, I wasn't telling you.
Danielle
No, I. I know, but that is the vibe. Okay. The New York Times games, I've been, like, playing them. I played them before bed. The MIDI crossword puzzle. Okay. So I started doing the mini every day, which it literally takes you, like, under a minute. Like, two minutes. Like, because it's just, like, a few words. And, like, it's fun to see how fast you can do it, but then you're kind of craving a little bit
Brooke
more little mini skirt.
Danielle
And then, I don't know. I've been into crossword puzzles. They make. But also the New York Times ones are kind of like pop culture adjacent. Like, it's relevant. Like, it's not things that I'm like, you know, some of them are a little challenging, but most, you know, some
Brooke
of them can get.
Danielle
And the MIDI is the perfect size between, like, the full and the mini. They came out with many.
Brooke
Do you ever, like, not know an answer to one of them?
Danielle
Oh, of course. Yeah.
Brooke
What do you do?
Danielle
I mean, I skip it. Then I try to figure out, like, the other way.
Brooke
Okay. Oh, like, by filling it in. Yes.
Danielle
But then if I really don't know, I'll put, like, the checker on. On the top, and that will tell you, like, what letters are wrong. Oh, that's kind of like a good reset point. If I'm, like, way off. You know what I'm saying?
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Some of these are harder than others. Like, some I'm like, wow, this is like, who's this made for? 10 year olds. And then, like, the next day, I'll, like, be so stuck on it.
Brooke
And do you always do it the same time of day?
Danielle
I do it before bed, usually.
Brooke
Before bed?
Danielle
Yeah. Because I just wind down on my phone. I don't want to be, like, texting, but I like, I'm like, oh, I could.
Brooke
No, Like, I love to hear that. Because if you were gonna say, like, I don't do any. I don't check social media in the morning. I go straight to my game. I'd be like, you're lying.
Danielle
No way. I immediately go on social media.
Brooke
Yeah. Like, there's, like, no way.
Danielle
Yeah. I haven't stuck to the brick. Maybe I should break that.
Brooke
Oh, yeah.
Danielle
Well, because, like, needlepoint became My brick. But then I.
Brooke
That's true. Because you're. If you guys don't know bricks or they like stop you from going on social media, they're like physical things that Brooke has been using.
Danielle
Yeah. Katie really is Katie started. Yeah. That would lock you out in the morning because you have to physically like get up.
Brooke
I don't know if this was real, but I saw this tick tock of this girl. In order to turn off her alarm, she has to pick up her phone and it says a random object that you have to go and take a picture of in order to stop it. So like the other day, hers was spoon. So she had to literally get up, go take a picture of a spoon. So then you're up.
Danielle
Oh my God. That's like a whole scavenger hunt that I feel like that like raises your cortisol though. Like, not, not that I'm mindful of that, but I feel like you wake up and it's like hurry do a task.
Brooke
Like, not that I'm mindful of that.
Danielle
I'm not mindful of that literally at all. Like, but that to me is a, like a wake up with a task, you know?
Brooke
Yeah, no, I know.
Danielle
I understand the concept though.
Brooke
Some people though, they need it.
Danielle
Like a really heavy sleeper. Yeah. Do you know is Ryan really obviously. Do you know really heavy sleepers?
Brooke
No. But I feel like I hear about it like Margot Austri. Oh my God. On the last night of Stagecoach, we like didn't post about anything, but she actually slept over the T mobile house.
Danielle
Oh, that's fun.
Brooke
She stayed the night with me because like everyone else in her house left early. I felt so bad. So I was like, come on over. They all had their reason.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Don't get me wrong. So her alarm the next morning, thank God I'd already woken up, was. I'm like, oh, so you're one of those.
Danielle
And she was sleeping through it.
Brooke
No, she. She woke up. But I assume she has it like that because others didn't work for her. I actually didn't ask.
Danielle
That's a last resort alarm.
Brooke
Yeah. But I'm. I think I need to bring back The Mel Robbins 5 second theory to get out of bed. Not been wanting to get out of bed.
Danielle
Oh, and you just lay there like.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah. No. Ryan has this joke with me where now he only sees me in my pajamas because in the morning I'm. I literally stay in bed until like he's about to get up and then he gets back and I, I feel like you do the Same thing. As soon as I get home, I shower, take off my makeup, I'm in my pajamas again.
Danielle
Yeah. Or like, loungewear. It's not necessarily, like, a matching PJ stuff. Same. But like, yes, but he deems them.
Juan Naula
Yes.
Brooke
Pajamas. And he's like, I. You know, I never see you, like, not in pajamas. Like, that is so sad. I swear I was, like, all dressed up today.
Danielle
That's so funny. You're like, I'm showing proof. You're like, no, this is everything today. Yes.
Brooke
No, literally, I'll be like, look what I filmed today. Look what I did.
Danielle
That's really funny. I. I definitely have those days too, when Ben, like, lives a whole day and then, like, comes back and I'm like, definitely. And sometimes I'm in the same pair of, like, clothes.
Brooke
Yeah, sometimes. Maybe I didn't leave.
Danielle
Yeah, maybe I didn't. And when they catch you, like, do, like. I'm like, you caught me at the. The one second that, like, I was slacking off, like, watching a YouTube video.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
It's like, he's like, oh, so you just wanted YouTube videos all day? No, I know.
Brooke
It's like, no. I was just sitting on my. I sat on my bed to respond to one text, and then I went on to Tick tock.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Oh, I know. Oh, my God. I literally love this so much. And I'm making this a favorite because I made sure to check that this is still available because it was a collab. Corporate. Natalie did a collaboration with Reduce. We both got their. It's like a ton of different water bottles, mugs. One of them I am so obsessed with. It's called the Halo because it's just like a tumbler, but it has, like a circle that you can put it on your wrist.
Danielle
Oh, I didn't even know that.
Brooke
You probably didn't even realize that's what it was, but. Oh, my gosh. Walking to the gym or literally walking around our apartment, I just. I've got a little bracelet on with my water bottle.
Danielle
Stop. You walk around your apartment with it?
Brooke
Yeah, sometimes. Like, now we have to go to the other room. You know, I. I love it, but it's usually for when I'm walking to a workout and I just. I am so lazy. I don't want to hold anything, so it's. It just hangs on my arm and it's. It's great. And I have the checkered one that's her collab. But then I looked and they have a yellow one, a blue one. Like, they've got. I Might need to get another one. They're so cute.
Danielle
How many water bottle cabinets?
Brooke
No, that's the thing. You definitely have more water bottles than me. I just, like, feel it.
Danielle
I have a hard time parting with them.
Brooke
I know.
Danielle
Like, what if I want that?
Brooke
What if I need that special edition,
Danielle
like, under rabbit rabbits, you know, that was rare.
Brooke
Yeah, no, I. I know. I knew. I knew this about you, but. Yeah, so reduce.
Danielle
But I use recycle. My Louise Carmen road book notebook. So this is my notebook that I got, like, top of the year. I was like, I'm becoming a notebook person because I love a list that's, like, how I work. And it just is the perfect size. It just. It's made to be, like, a little worn. It's basically like you. You buy the leather part that's kind of like what the notebook is, and then everything else is, like, inserts for it.
Brooke
That's so fun and, like, customizable.
Danielle
Yes. And it's so great. The road book is the size that I have. I think I have, like, videos, like, showing size comparisons, because I have, like,
Brooke
a bigger one too.
Danielle
But I just love it. It fits, like, every time I'm traveling. I just am, like. I know that I have, like, this one thing with me, and it has, like, all of my information.
Brooke
Is it like, to do lists or like.
Danielle
Yeah, every day I do, like, a to do list. And then if I. And then I have, like, running lists in there, too.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
If I just, like, think of something that I'm like, oh, shoot, like, I should do that like, in two weeks or something.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
I don't really refer back to it, if I'm being honest.
Brooke
But, you know, but hey, it's there.
Danielle
Yeah. There is a longer list somewhere in there that's so.
Brooke
That's really wholesome.
Danielle
It is, actually. Yeah. I haven't been, like, journaling in it or anything like that, but, you know, maybe.
Brooke
Yeah. Journaling is so, like, personal and, like, scares me that someone could just pick up a book and it's my journal.
Danielle
I. I know. I haven't done that in a really, really long. A long time.
Brooke
Yeah. Oh, yeah. I guess you used to. I actually used to, too.
Danielle
Only when I was going through it.
Brooke
Yeah, it's. It's always only when you're, like, really down bad.
Danielle
I've never journaled and been happy.
Brooke
Yeah. No. Like, I love life today or I love life today. I also just. I think you. I hate, like, I. I like writing paper to do list, but I hate writing things. Like, I don't like writing letters. I don't like.
Danielle
Yeah, I, I agree.
Brooke
I love a handwritten birthday card but if it were up to me, we'd all just type them and print them out. Like I know, I know people handwriting
Danielle
at these weddings I'm going to. They love and I love. I think it's so nice to give everybody a handwritten note. It's really like every couple or whoever.
Brooke
Like I totally agree. And I'm like, oh my God. They sat there and did that all.
Danielle
Yeah. And that was a job. My gosh, that's a job.
Brooke
And then they usually send like thank you cards.
Danielle
Like it's just a lot. There's a lot of handwriting.
Brooke
It's a lot of handwriting. I don't really like to handwrite, but that is very. I do like to handwrite to do lists. And I know you're the same way
Danielle
because it's the physical cross off for me.
Brooke
That cross flock jaw.
Danielle
I did that. Yeah, I did it. I didn't just watch YouTube all day. I did it.
Brooke
Yeah. Look Ben, look at all these crosshairs. My next item is the Revlon Versa styler. I couldn't not put it on. It would just with all the travel and stuff. It is just the best. Brooke has one too. It is amazing because it's like, it's kind of like your Dyson vibe. But there are no attachments so you just have. It looks like a round brush. It blows air like from one specific section. So it's really like a blow dryer and then it blows air all around like a blow dryer brush and then option to heat it and it's a heated round brush. Like that's sick. I just, I can't believe we're just now getting this. And I'm very grateful to Revlon for it. It's like now when I pack, I literally put that in in a curling iron.
Danielle
Boom. Done. Boom. Done. Perfect.
Brooke
I know it's available at Walmart. I wanted to get on Amazon.
Danielle
Oh, it's not on Amazon.
Brooke
I think it's just on Walmart right now. But Walmart ships really fast. Actually.
Danielle
They do. So a little hack for you.
Brooke
A little hack, yeah. What's your next one?
Danielle
Just Matcha. Matcha lattes in general. But I have the full setup now. Oh, I bet the post.
Brooke
Japan.
Danielle
Yes. So in Japan we got the whisk and the actual like Matcha itself. This one place at Pudo Tea, I think you can order from them online. That was like a very like, you know, real high quality matcha.
Brooke
Okay.
Danielle
If anyone's looking for, like, a place. But there's so many. There are, you know, good places.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
But when I was there, I noticed, like, I would look at the cop, not the coffee shops, the tea houses, and see how people were, like, making them. They all had a scale because they do it in, like, weight ratios, not in. Like, you do. You don't just do, like, one scoop of matcha.
Brooke
Like, you do it, like, in weight.
Danielle
So I got, like, a scale. Yeah. No, I. I'm weird. On, like, the next level, I learned how to whisk it properly. Exact water temperature.
Brooke
It's a nice process.
Danielle
It's basically. People are gonna be like, no, it's different. But, like, to me, it's the equivalent of making an espresso shot. But it's matcha, because then I poured over milk, and it acts the same way as an espresso shot would.
Brooke
It's like doing a latte.
Danielle
Yes.
Brooke
You just have one specific thing.
Danielle
I mean, it is a matcha latte. That's a matcha.
Brooke
It is.
Danielle
But, like, the same amount of liquid. Like, I'm like, oh, yeah. That's literally a shot.
Brooke
Yeah. Yeah, a shot. And then do you add sweetener?
Danielle
Yeah, I've been doing maple syrup.
Brooke
A maple matcha latte.
Danielle
Yeah, It. It's a good sweetener. It's a, you know, old reliable.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
What do you, like, if you had to use a sweetener? Like, you wouldn't. What would you.
Brooke
No, I. I don't drink matcha. Really? So I was just wondering. No, I put hazelnut. I'm like a hazelnut. Can you have hazelnut? Yeah, yeah, I'm addicted. Or vanilla.
Danielle
Like a pump of the flavor.
Brooke
Yeah, a pump. Yeah. I've never. I've. I've done, like, a maple cinnamon latte. Honey, those are good, too. Yeah. But at home, I just do a good old Pampa Smash kitchen.
Danielle
They just can't, you know, Glenn.
Brooke
Oh, yeah.
Danielle
Snack brand that, like, apparently, like, you know, they don't use dyes or whatever. Like, I don't really know. Like, I mean. Yeah, they don't.
Brooke
Yep. Apparently.
Danielle
But the chips taste just as good as normal chips, so whatever. But they just came out with. They're the chips that I had that night.
Brooke
Oh, yeah, I had them.
Danielle
Yes. You were like, what are these?
Brooke
Yes, yes. Oh, my gosh, Glenn.
Danielle
They just came out with syrups.
Brooke
Like, coffee syrups.
Danielle
Like. Yeah.
Brooke
Like, so pancakes.
Danielle
Caramel and a chocolate. You could use it for whatever you want. But I just thought that you would, like that. Because they're like, you know.
Brooke
That's really cool. Yeah, definitely good ingredients.
Danielle
Yes. It's just cleaner ingredients.
Brooke
Does that feel random with everything else or. No, because they do sauces or ketchup.
Danielle
Yeah, they started with, I think, sauce condiments, and they started doing chips, and I feel like they're just gonna take over your entire pantry. Am I right?
Brooke
Am I right?
Danielle
Smash Kitchen coming to a pantry near you.
Brooke
So interesting, because whenever I hear Smash Kitchen, I think of, like, a Smash Burger.
Danielle
Of course. No, the name could use some milk.
Brooke
Well, it should be Glenn's Kitchen. I'm like, I want what Glenn's having.
Danielle
Yeah, Glenn.
Brooke
I'll have what Glenn's having. That's very funny.
Danielle
That's really. No, I. I think you can use them for anything. And, like, those type of syrups, it was like, make chocolate milk, put it in your coffee, whatever.
Brooke
Oh, my God. A chalky milk with the.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Freaking syrup. I feel like Ben would like that.
Danielle
Yeah, no, it stayed. You know, so sometimes PR gets processed and gets put in, like, the donations pile. That those two stayed.
Brooke
That's. Yeah, I know exactly what you mean.
Danielle
Sometimes I just feel like makeup is working against my skin, all right? Like, I'm doing the most. I'm doing my, like, amazing skincare, and then, like, I just am kind of, like, negating all of that by using, like, makeup that is, like, not good for my pores. And it's just, like, it's not wearing right on my skin. And that's why I'm so happy that I discovered og. It's a certified organic beauty brand that truly performs like luxury makeup. But it's, like, skin focused. It's skin first. Let's just say it, okay? Most makeup is 80 to 90 pigment and filler, but OG's Crystal Contour collection flips that. It's actually nearly 90 skincare ingredients. So you've got, like, the green coffee oil, the cold pressed jojoba, ingredients that I would spend real money on in serious skincare. And they just happen to, like, be in your blush. How amazing is that? I feel like shopping in the clean beauty section is, like, something really popular. People are doing that. But, like, clean, really? It's kind of like a vague term. It kind of, like, means nothing. But OG is NSF Certified Organic, which is one of the most rigorous standards in the beauty industry. Every product is also made without synthetic fragrance, artificial fillers, or unnecessary additives. The fragrance. I can't do fragrance in anything that's touching my face because my skin just Reacts crazy. I have really sensitive skin, so I'm all about this. This really just it builds into your routine. It's so easy if you're one of those, like, no makeup, like, more natural type girlies. This is amazing for you also. I just love it for those days when I, like, don't, you know, I'm, like, running errands, but, like, I don't want to have, like, a full beat, you know, I love that they have three stick. They've got the copper that's, like, really warm. The rose quartz is going to give you that nice flush. And. But I also. I just always love a glow. So you do that, Opal, for the glow. You could literally do your whole face in five minutes, honestly, in, like, three minutes. And just. It makes you look like you're, like, literally glowing from within. Like, you're just having, like, the best skin day ever. Like, your face is just naturally snatched. These blend like a dream. And honestly, if you're investing so much money in your skincare, like, I feel like I want, you know, to have that amazing makeup that sort of, like, pairs with it and lets my skin shine. I want to, like, have it on my fridge. I'm not throwing it away. I have all of my minted invitations that I've gotten from my friend's weddings actually in my drawer, and I, like, use them as reference material for my own. But obviously I'm using minted. You know, I'm starting to get into full wedding planning mode, and I just. I'm. I'm so happy that I have minted to go to. I found so many designs that I've already saved and that I'm so excited to use for all of our wedding events, they have an amazing concierge team that's going to help you design everything for your event. I feel like this stuff can get really overwhelming really quickly, and sometimes it's nice just to have another. Another set of eyes on things and just like to reach out for. For some advice. And they could help you with your invitations, your signage, your place cards, literally all of it. And it's free to use their concierge shame, which is honestly wild, because you learn in the wedding industry, nothing is free, I'll tell you that. So they just launched these really fun custom shapes tapes for invites too. You could do things like martini glasses. So Katie Belladi coated. I can't shells. Also Katie coated cowboy boots. And it just makes everything feel so personal. I. I love a little whimsy. Like, make it whimsical. Okay. And one of the biggest perks is that Minted is going to print all of your guest addresses directly on the envelopes for free, which is seriously amazing. If you've ever had to hand address invites, that takes forever. And, like, I don't have great handwriting. Like, it's so great. Then mint. It does that for you. Brooke
Oh, my goodness. I really want to influence you on this because I am obsessed. I got a Missoni robe.
Danielle
Okay.
Brooke
And I love it from regular.
Danielle
Just online.
Brooke
Yeah, online, they have it on, like, revolve forward, stuff like that. But you guys obviously know the Missoni print is gorgeous. I actually remember Bridget acquired style, had a Missoni robe, like, a year or two ago. And I was like, oh, that's cool. They do robes. So then I just went myself this past year and looked, and they. On the Missoni website, they have so many options, so many prints. They have long, they have short. I got a short for the summer.
Danielle
We'll see.
Brooke
But I am. I just. It's so happy and colorful. You guys know, my apartment's very not colorful, but it brings the color. I wear the color. It has a hood. I literally think I got a large or an xl. So I'm just like, you're buried in a night. I just. I love it. It makes me really happy. Do you have, like, a robe you're wearing?
Danielle
Right now I have a constant robe rotation.
Brooke
Yeah, I figured I have literally like
Danielle
five on the back of my doors. Like, I've got.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah, you've got your lineup. Well, when you have an opening.
Danielle
Right now we're fully stocked.
Brooke
Fully stocked. But you should get a Missoni robe.
Danielle
It looks like it fits similar, I'm sure more high quality that to my Poppy robe. But I. I see the fit.
Brooke
It's like the Poppy robe. And I actually really. I used that one for a long time, but then I got it so dirty, even the wash was like, yeah, we're done. But it's very like the Poppy rope.
Danielle
That's what. No, I have the Poppy dupe.
Brooke
Hey, Poppy's Bobby merch, I would assume is pretty hard to come by.
Danielle
No, they. They crush it. Like, honestly, they. They definitely, like, don't cheap out. Like, they go to like, good manufacturers, I feel like, for their stuff because it's like always really, like, thick quality.
Brooke
The sweat. I still have a Poppy sweat set or two of them because I'm like, I'm not getting rid of those. They're amazing.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
What's your next one?
Danielle
My vibration plate. I'm still using it.
Brooke
I literally thought you're about to say something else. No, no. Vibration blade.
Danielle
No, that's my favorite vibrating tool. I love it. You know, I think that I was nervous it was just gonna be a fat because, you know, I get obsessed with things and I was like, okay, I'm gonna get this thing and like, use it twice. Yeah, like, why not just use it? Like, if I'm just standing around or something, like, I'm like, I might as well just get on this thing. It feels really good to stretch on it. Well, now I'm injured, so I don't know if I can do that anymore.
Brooke
The self diagnosed stress, putting stress on the fracture.
Danielle
Yeah, but I don't know, it just. I just feel good on it. I don't know if it's actually. I. I do think that it helps me go to the bathroom.
Brooke
Yeah, whatever.
Danielle
Move things along after the morning.
Brooke
Coffee or Matcha or Matcha, you know, That's Matcha to you.
Danielle
That's Matcha to you.
Brooke
That's Matcha Mornings to you. Will you have a coffee in the afternoon? Like, I have no schedule.
Danielle
I have no schedule. Today I went to Dunkin. I started like, I became obsessed with like a Dunkin order that. That the coffee is probably a thousand calories. I'm not even joking. Like, I just like, it's like the Oreo, like, Something. I saw it. I was like, yeah, I'm going to get that.
Brooke
An Oreo coffee. That's awesome.
Danielle
It's an iced coffee with three pumps of chocolate cookie syrup and then marshmallow foam topping. I've gotten it like three days in a row now. No, I have a problem breakfast. Yeah. And that literally is my breakfast. But I get it in the six dollar meal deal because it's cheaper to get it in the meal deal than it is to get it on own. No, I'm psychotic.
Brooke
Like, what's the meal deal? Do you get a meal with it?
Danielle
You get an egg and cheese and if you want bacon sandwich and you get.
Brooke
Oh, I actually love their breakfast sandwiches.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Oh, and the hash browns, they do hit pretty good. They hit really good. Hit really well. I don't know. Wow, that's funny. So today no Matcha. Then you had the Dunkin.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Or maybe option to do Matcha later. Same.
Danielle
Like you're doing the same thing every day.
Brooke
I get. Well, not the same thing, but yeah. The first thing I have is a hot cup of coffee. Coffee with cream. And then my second coffee of the day is an iced latte with hazelnut typically.
Danielle
And that could be your. What's the canned brand again?
Brooke
It could be my tranquility latte, which I'm gonna do after this. I'm gonna do it.
Danielle
A little tranquility moment.
Brooke
Yeah, tranquil. But no decaf. Still gets me buzzed. We'll love that.
Danielle
What are you loving?
Brooke
What else that you just went. Right.
Danielle
Yeah. Vibration plate.
Brooke
Ms. Alex Earl has created a lovely cleansing balm.
Danielle
Did you get sent that?
Brooke
I did, but I. Trust me, I was on like the fourth list.
Danielle
I didn't need.
Brooke
I did not get sent. I didn't get the suitcase. I didn't get even the box. I just got the products.
Danielle
No, the suitcase was tier one.
Brooke
Yeah. That was tier one of the PR send out. And then tier two, they had like a. Oh, a mailer.
Danielle
And you. So you just got the products in a box.
Brooke
I got the products. No, no. From Alex.
Danielle
I. I got nothing. So, you know, that's better than me. And, you know, my skin is struggling. If anybody's listening.
Brooke
Real active. Yeah.
Danielle
We had Dr. Mian on our podcast forever ago. Can we talk about that?
Brooke
That we actually should talk about that.
Danielle
Yeah, we.
Brooke
Doctor me on who's the dermatologist that Alex collaborated with. She's been on Gals on the Go and I think I still follow her.
Danielle
No, same. It was. To be completely honest, it was a partnership with Another skincare brand at the time. I mean, it was many years ago.
Brooke
She taught us a lot. I remember.
Danielle
Yeah. No, and it was just like, she was just coming on just to educate. And I think she sticks to her word, though, on, like, the products, the type of product she recommends. Yeah. I. I saw someone, like, say that they had, like, a customer service issue or they were like, oh, like, I. I think I'm breaking out from this. And Dr. Mian personally called her.
Brooke
Wow.
Danielle
Like, apparently their customer service is insane.
Brooke
That's amazing.
Danielle
Isn't that crazy? I know.
Brooke
She's running a hotline, like, Keeping up with Real Actives. My gosh. Well, the cleansing balm is great. I've definitely used a similar product of this from other brands where it's like, you know, use.
Danielle
Yeah, you.
Brooke
I don't know how you get the product out by, like, twisting, and then it comes up, so it's very, like, clean. But I really like it. And I. I just feel like Alex Earl at the end of the night when I'm, like, taking off my makeup, I feel like I'm Alex Earl after Dancing with the Stars. Taking off.
Danielle
Is it scented?
Brooke
No.
Danielle
I do that. Is it. Does it make your vision a little blurry still?
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
I haven't found one that. That's so funny. I thought that was just, like, a me thing. No one's ever said that out loud.
Danielle
No, that. Yeah.
Brooke
Like, you're in the shower, too, and you're like, where's my shampoo? Yeah.
Danielle
Yeah. That's why I, like, kind of smell. Stepped away from cleansing moms.
Brooke
So what do you do?
Danielle
I've been using, like, a wipe. Bioderma. Is that what it is?
Brooke
Oh, yeah.
Danielle
Yeah. That's for my. And then for my face, I just double cleanse.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Like, I'll use you, like, a gel cleanser, then maybe like a foam cleanser after or something. Like, I don't know.
Brooke
Nice.
Danielle
Because I usually do in the shower. I. Washing my face in the shower is, like, where it's at.
Brooke
It's like, all I do now in the sink.
Danielle
It's like, it's.
Brooke
It's a war zone. If you wash your. No, it's shower now. And you know what? You're all lucky. So now I shower even more because we're, you know. Because we wash our face in the shower.
Danielle
Do you wash your face in the morning, too, though?
Brooke
No.
Danielle
Yeah. You're not. I don't think you're supposed to.
Brooke
You just, like, splash a little water. I don't even do that. I do use like a pad a lot of times. Like a, you know, a little pad. Yeah, the moist ones. Yeah, moist, Moist, moist, moist, moist, moist. That word literally doesn't bother me.
Danielle
No, it doesn't bother me either.
Brooke
Such like a 12 year old thing.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Okay, what next for you? Oh, so, yeah, the real active cleansing.
Danielle
I want to try it. Isn't it like sold out though? Like it's impossible to get or. No, Is it? Not anymore.
Brooke
Well, let me know because I have extra. Because what I did was I bought it myself.
Danielle
It sold out in like two minutes. Were you on it for the drop?
Brooke
Like, no. Oh, okay. I think I did buy it that day, but not want. So I bought it myself and then they sent me some like a week ago. About a week ago. So I literally. Oh, I think I did save the extra cleansing balm for myself, but I would give it to you.
Danielle
Oh, I would try any of the other products too.
Brooke
Oh, yeah, I have all the other things. I just saved the cleansing bomb for myself.
Danielle
The acids or whatever.
Brooke
Oh, yeah, the Mandela. I haven't tried the mandelic acid yet because I have another one I use sometimes.
Danielle
I don't. I don't even know what my skin needs right now. I.
Brooke
No, literally, I don't know. What you got for me?
Danielle
Okay. The MPH underpainting palette palette. Do you know this? This Mary?
Brooke
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Danielle
Have you tried it?
Brooke
I used it last summer a lot and I just. You're reminding me about it.
Danielle
Really?
Brooke
Do you underpaint?
Danielle
Wait, has it been out that long? Yeah. Wow. I. I guess I missed. Missed the first wave of that as well. Like, no, I don't always underpaint, but like, I just like the tones of it. Like for using his bronzer and then like concealer stuff.
Brooke
Did you get the brush too?
Danielle
And I did not get the brush. I have really good brushes right now from Houseless. They've incredible shapes of their brushes. Like they're really. If you ever need new makeup brushes, just know that they.
Brooke
Yeah, just holler.
Danielle
I have under painted, though. I don't know if I like.
Brooke
Yeah, I haven't done under painting in a while. I think your skin has to be perfect for it. Like ready for it that day.
Danielle
The times I've tried, it just looks too heavy.
Brooke
Actually. I think what the problem is, you have to be using a light foundation and I don't use a light foundation. Do you like us like a thin.
Danielle
Like if I'm wearing like today, I'm actually not really wearing full foundation because my Skin is just. It was just bothering me. But I. I used, like, what, the bare minerals, like foundation stick. But it's like a light.
Brooke
Oh, yes. Nice and creamy. Blends around.
Danielle
But, like, if I'm using house labs, which. That's a thick foundation.
Brooke
That's.
Danielle
That's my foundation of choice.
Brooke
That's your Big Daddy foundation.
Danielle
Like, that's my wedding foundation.
Brooke
Yeah, I know what you mean with underpainting.
Danielle
Like, it's giving.
Brooke
Like, I don't even see you're wearing.
Danielle
Make you know what you.
Brooke
Like, I don't even. Not on you. But, like, if you use the Big
Danielle
Daddy foundation, like, I don't even covers it all. I agree.
Brooke
So I think that's why I stopped, honestly. But it's a great palette.
Danielle
Yeah. And, like, who cares how you use it, right?
Brooke
Yeah, literally. Who cares? It's for contouring regardless. The tones are really nice. And I mean, what's her name? Mary Phillips is an amazing makeup artist, so I would trust anything I want. I want to try her foundation, actually. Foundation.
Danielle
Foundation.
Brooke
Next up, fake flowers. Faux flowers. They're great.
Danielle
Okay.
Brooke
Love getting real flowers for mine, of course, but I got some faux hydrangeas. I actually know Wayfair has a lot of pretty faux flowers. It just like, if you can find a really good faux flower bouquet, it really elevates the space and then you just don't worry. Especially hydrangeas, specifically, because they just die so quickly. So I've been loving. I got faux hydrangeas at my room in Florida, and they just make me so happy every time. And they look so real to me. So.
Danielle
Yeah, I feel like you have to get. If you get good ones, then they.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Look good for some reason. Like, my brain always goes to, like, like a craft store and like, seeing, like, the.
Brooke
I know what you're talking about looking
Danielle
ones, but I know that there are good looking ones.
Brooke
There are really good looking ones. And I just think that they really elevate space. So if I had a house, they'd be. It'd be full of, like, lots of fake flowers.
Danielle
Yeah. I love having fresh flowers, but they really, like, that's a job.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
No, I change the water, like, every day. If you really want to keep them fresh.
Brooke
I know. Because then the leaves fall in the water and get, like, smelly almost.
Danielle
And I feel like if you have like, like you make that nice flower arrangement, like, you're like, okay, I want to, like, keep it nice. So then you're like, you know, you have to keep up with it.
Brooke
So True. It's a lot of work.
Danielle
Yeah. It's worth it, I think, if you're, like, having people over and stuff. But like, for. And I will pick them up when I go to the girl. The grocery store. But I'm not like, filling every room with flowers on just like a normal daily basis because it's just.
Brooke
No, no. And nothing's better than receiving flowers, obviously.
Danielle
Oh, my gosh. Of course.
Brooke
Or picking them up at the grocery store when you're there. But for like, day to day, like, I've been traveling so much and stuff, I'm not focused on that. So I don't know.
Danielle
No, I completely.
Brooke
What's next for you?
Danielle
Okay. The gold Bond age. Renew retinol overnight. Talk about a name. Body and face lotion. But I only use it on the body.
Brooke
That's a mouthful.
Danielle
Yeah. Found this on TikTok. I just needed, like, a good body lotion that I. I feel like I could slather it up, put it everywhere. Good pump.
Brooke
Is it a pump? I was gonna say I don't need
Danielle
it to be too expensive because honestly, like, I go through pretty quick. Like, if you're using like a body lotion, really all over your body all the time, Like, I go. I'm going through that.
Brooke
Oh, my God. Absolutely. No, I literally, I'm using like a Jergens one with a big pump right now. Like, I just need.
Danielle
It's to. And it's to hit. Hitting.
Brooke
And it's hitting. It smells so good. Like, I know what you mean. Like, you don't need to spend a lot of money on a body lotion. Unless it's like, body oil. Maybe I would.
Danielle
Yeah. And I. I like. Nice one. Like, I like the necessary one. Like, I definitely do.
Brooke
But of course.
Danielle
But I feel like you don't have to, like, it's on. You know, you can get this option
Brooke
to get the gold.
Danielle
Yes. And it dries pretty quickly.
Brooke
So I feel like that's really important.
Danielle
Yeah. I don't know if it's actually doing, like, retinol. Let you know on that.
Brooke
Yeah, that's cool that it has that in it.
Danielle
Yeah. Whenever things say face and body kind of throws me through a loop, though, you know, Like, I'm like, oh, is
Brooke
this face and body?
Danielle
That's what it says on the packaging. But I. I only do body. Like, I'm not. But it's giving three in one. Like, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, which I don't like. I'm like, pick a lane.
Brooke
Like, you could, you know, you can just be body. It's okay. No one's going to get you.
Danielle
No one's.
Brooke
No, I didn't, I didn't catch the face and body. That would make me uncomfortable. Like I'm never putting body lotion on my face so it feels weird.
Danielle
And face lotion I don't want to put on my body because it's too expensive. Like it's like nice, right? Yeah. So you're like, I'm not gonna waste
Brooke
this on my legs every now and then on vacation. Maybe you'll do this too if you're out of regulation. I'll like use my face lotion.
Danielle
I'm like, oh yeah, this is so sad.
Brooke
Of course, like using my road on like my kneecap. I'm like elastic.
Danielle
Even when I like start working it down onto like my neck, I'm like, okay, I'll stop that there.
Brooke
Okay. Don't get excited now. Epidermis like lol.
Danielle
Getting crazy.
Brooke
Getting crazy. Okay. Actually, speaking of makeup wipes and taking off your makeup, another thing I wrote down, you probably see a ton of Tik Tok shop ads for this. The clean sheets by 4am Skin.
Danielle
Yeah. How much are they paying for these ads? Cuz I, I get serve them a lot. And you know what? Maybe you're the last step. Like you were sent, you were sentenced.
Brooke
I, I have purchased them so many times now. You're like, okay, Danielle, you said you wash your face in the shower. Yeah. But every now and then if it's like a party night or even I just bring them. They're like these little sheets. I bring them for traveling specifically. I wake up in the morning, I'll use that like a pad. It has skin care in it. So as you're wiping your skin, you literally look so dewy and moisturized after. I really like the smell. They're not like scented, but I just, just, I like the smell of them and I bring them on the airplane. I've been doing a lot of like longer flights. So like when we're about to land or have, you know, premium skincare.
Danielle
Yes. I've been seeing a lot of those.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
Yes.
Danielle
My, my pre landing routine. I'm like, yes, must be nice in your pod.
Brooke
So I really like them for that. They're just, they're amazing. They're a great makeup wipe too. You need, next time you see a Tik Tok show up ad, just, just get them.
Danielle
Okay.
Brooke
You'll be happy. You just throw them in your bag. Like I really like them.
Danielle
I, I've seen their story now, like, they have me so close.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
They're like, if we just give them one more video.
Brooke
Yeah, one more. And then Danielle will do a podcast mention, and Brooke will really.
Danielle
So they really take off your makeup, though.
Brooke
They definitely do. They. They're like a micellar. They're kind of like what you're using. They're Micellar wipe, basically.
Danielle
And.
Brooke
But I also feel like I could use them when I don't have makeup on, which I like.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
To Just a refreshment.
Danielle
I'm into that.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Yeah. My last thing is I've been into Nello. Like, the. So they're like the powdered drink things. Like, they're also big on Tick tock shop.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
What is it?
Brooke
Tell me about it.
Danielle
Okay, so they have a bunch of, like, different varieties. They also, like, sell them at, like, Costco now. Like, I feel like, you know, drink mixes are, like, really popular. So the one that I use is. I think it's Super Focus is the name of it. And that one has, like, a little bit of caffeine, like vitamin L, theanine or whatever. Like, it just has, like, things like that. I actually use this a good amount in Japan, and I forgot about it. Then I, like, started using it again at home because I. This could be maybe if I, you know, don't finish my morning coffee, like, want a little something in the afternoon. The flavors, I don't mind normally with, like, some of these powdered mixes. Like, I am, like, really, like, plugging my nose to get it down. But like, these, you know what I like. I don't really like that stuff. Like, sometimes I'm just like, yeah, and this is good. There's, like, an apple flavor, which is delicious. And then they have super common. Super sleep soup. So the sleep one obviously puts you to sleep, and then the calm one just. I kind of get tired from that one, too, a little bit, I would say.
Brooke
Yeah, but you might benefit from that. Yeah, maybe. So the one you drink is for energy or focus.
Danielle
You super focus. Yeah, it's more of, like, it's a daytime. You want. I mean, I'm not gonna be like, whoa, I'm up. But, like, it.
Brooke
I just probably powered you through those tours in Japan.
Danielle
So, like, get me through. I'm, like, dry taking, like, dry.
Brooke
You guys have some water? I need to throw back my Nello. No, that's really cool, though. Maybe I'll bring some to Japan.
Danielle
What do they say? Dry scooping? Is that what it is?
Brooke
Yeah. Oh, when the guys do. I can't even it's so disgusting to me.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
My last one is a laundry detergent. And I will always. This isn't my favorite. I will always love the Diva Wash. Like, that stuff is so good and makes your clothes smell so good, and people will compliment you for days. Another one, Bath and Body Works. Remember we were Bath and Body Works? We were like, oh, my God, they have all these detergents. I got a detergent in the scent, Amber Blush. Oh, my God. It is.
Danielle
Oh, good. Really?
Brooke
My clothes. When I'm putting my clothes away, I literally, like, take a whiff. I'm like. Like, I'm addicted.
Danielle
Wow.
Brooke
And it smells so, so good. And they have cute little bottles. They have so many scents, too, of the detergent. I just have to say I'm, like, excited to do my laundry. I have to do my laundry later today. And I'm like, oh, going to use my Amber Blush.
Danielle
Look at that. You have something to look forward to.
Brooke
Yeah. It's fun to make the little mundane tasks in life fun.
Danielle
It is.
Brooke
Make life fun again, you know?
Danielle
Hey, I sent out after Japan, I had so much laundry. I sent mine out, which was. I have not done that in the longest time.
Brooke
Like, sometimes you have to.
Danielle
I. I literally was like, I don't even know the last time I've done this. And I. I. That was a real luxury. I was like, wow. So honestly, it's like. Because I feel like the whole, like, washer dryer conversation is, like, a thing in New York. But, like, sometimes I'm like, it's kind of nice. Just have someone do it for you. But I know that that's obviously, like, the real luxury.
Brooke
Yeah, I mean, it is. But also, like, most of my friends in New York, they do get their laundry done because they don't have washer dryer. So, yeah, it does feel weird when you have one, but I've done it every now and then. I'm at a low point, and I have so much, and I'm like, you're so backlogged. Yeah, so backlogged.
Danielle
I know they say, like, I'm on, like, the Emma Greed side of the Internet.
Brooke
Are you there? I'm not there. I mean, every now and then I'm there there.
Danielle
Because she just, like, released a book and there was, like, a whole thing, like, whatever. I mean, I'm just obsessed with her. I saw her once, you know that.
Brooke
Oh, yeah. Or not. Acl. Yeah, whatever. South. South by. South by. Yeah, Donkey.
Danielle
But I feel like people like that talk about, like. Like, offloading things in their Life now. And they obviously have kids, so they're like, you know, nannies, whatever. But I forget, like, when I, like, outsource something, I'm like, my God. Like, I can do that. You know, Makes free will life. Yeah, free will. I've been really reminded of free will
Brooke
recently, and it's so fun.
Danielle
Really so great.
Brooke
It's really so great. You're like, I could just have cereal right now if I wanted to.
Danielle
Yeah, no, I could.
Brooke
Or whatever it may be.
Danielle
Yeah. And I could just, like, you know, have someone help me clean my house if I want it. Like, you know, I don't have to just suffer with, like, rings in my toilets if I, like, I'm getting overwhelmed. Like, you know, I can. Maybe my foot's broken now. I don't know. I might need some extra help around that.
Brooke
Might need some extra.
Danielle
If that freaking marathon took me out, I'm gonna be so pissed. It wasn't worth it. Like, it.
Brooke
No, that's not. I, I. Based on how you're. I can't see you being in a boot. Like, are you in that much pain when I.
Danielle
When I. When it bears weight?
Brooke
As in, like, when you're standing or if you're holding something extra.
Danielle
Well, I have.
Brooke
I mean, I have bearing weight when you stand.
Danielle
I. I just.
Brooke
You know, you're so little.
Danielle
I'm so little. But, you know, my 100 plus pounds that I'm putting on, that.
Brooke
That's weight at the end of the day.
Danielle
No, that's definitely weight bearing.
Brooke
Yeah, I guess. Yeah, weight bearing. I just wasn't sure, you know? Yeah, well.
Danielle
Well, that's a wrap, folks.
Brooke
That's a rap de dap. We love you guys so much. Forever grateful for all of our gal pals. Feel free to comment down below. We love seeing your comments. Go follow us on Instagram @GalsOnTheGoPodcast. On Instagram. We do Friday dumps every Friday with, like, visuals of things that we talked about. Maybe we could put a visual of Brooks knock knees. Like, I don't know, for reference.
Danielle
Like, I bought the photo package from my marathon. Sorry, I will shut up. This will be the last thing I mentioned about the demo.
Brooke
Wait, don't say sorry.
Danielle
I bought the photo package because, like, that was how I got access to all the photos. And they keep uploading more and more. I'm like, where were all these photographers? And I'm walking in every picture. I'm like, I literally walked for collectively five minutes. I'm not joking. There were five vivid points where I was like, okay. I'm. I'm walking like and that's where the. And I swear every photo or knock knees so we'll put them in the
Brooke
knock knees lock J Knock knees too good. Well, I hope you guys all have a great day and we love you.
Danielle
We love you. Bye.
