These people probably think I'm crazy.
A
Remember the days when that was the greatest shots?
B
I, like, went and looked at the comments the other day.
A
All got rejected.
B
It's, like, going on over here.
A
Have fun in there.
B
I guess everyone thinks I went on the Disney cruise alone.
A
Like, let's just have a cocktail and dance. I'm really nervous. No, I'm so different.
B
You're good at, like, putting on a show.
A
And that's all for tonight. Hey, guys, what's up? Welcome back to Gals on the Go podcast.
B
It's Brooke and Danielle. And Brooke. I have a question for you.
A
Oh, I'm ready. What's the question?
B
Will you be my Galentine? I've been preparing for this for hours.
A
Oh, my God. I was not.
B
I'm nervous.
A
I'm nervous. I will be your Galentine. Really?
B
Of course.
A
Of course. I wasn't sure what the question was gonna be. I was like. I thought you were gonna say, like, what's your favorite Valentine's? To, like, just hit him right from the start.
B
No, I won't start that quick. But I just wanted to confirm we're Galentine's. You know, have you. Did you show me these things? Like, me thinking about the fact that he hasn't asked me to be his, like, blah, blah.
A
Yes. Yes. There's someone asked me to be his, like, microwave to my.
B
Yeah, dinner.
A
TV dinner or something.
B
Yeah, it's like, how dare you? Like, or you're, like, watching the Oscars and. Or the Grammys, and it's like, he didn't ask me to be his Grammy. Or, like, I don't know, just, like, random. So, so silly. I see you have some Valentine's Day nails.
A
I just got my nails done, actually, coincidentally, right before this. Yes. Thanks.
B
What are the deets?
A
I just realized, like, don't face me. They face away.
B
Let me see. Oh, I have a great view.
A
Is that correct? I think that is.
B
I think. I mean, I didn't think a thing of it.
A
Now that I'm, like, thinking about it. When you get nail art, like, should it face you or should it face out?
B
True. So what Brooke has is, like, a little chrome I see, like, a chrome pearly.
A
Yes. Sheer, I found. Yeah. But not sheer. Like, it covers the. I always like it to be opaque. Like.
B
Okay. Yeah, it's a light pink. Okay. I couldn't see.
A
Yes, very light pink that, like, looks almost like white in the reflection.
B
Very pretty.
A
With some little hearts. Parts that face out.
B
If you're not watching on YouTube.
A
Very important. Yeah, you should watch on YouTube. Yeah. I have a thing with nails, and, like, I hate when my nail underneath, like, shows through because I feel like the white of my nail is, like, too thick and it doesn't look right like, on my natural now. You know what I'm saying?
B
Yeah.
A
Like, I feel like some people have a cute little, like, white tip. Like, I have, like, a thick white thing that's, like, bothers me, and it's like. Yeah, that's like, one of my things.
B
No, I get it after. I like it only for this one specific shade. And then it looks like kind of ombre. Like, if you do, like, a light pink, and then if the white tips are perfect and it's like a nice. Excuse me, ombre. But if not, like, if it's another color, I'm like, I don't want to see my nail. Also, what if they get, like, a little dirty?
A
Like, sometimes I feel like they get, like, makeup. I take good care of my nails, but I feel like sometimes, like, the nail itself, like, I don't want to say, like, it turns yellow, but it's not, like, perfectly white.
B
Like, it's right.
A
Like, a little from, like, polish. I don't know. I just feel like it's not.
B
You don't have to explain it to me.
A
No, but we take good care of our.
B
I get it. Well, happy Valentine's Day. Happy Galentine's Day to you guys. Valentine's Day is coming up this weekend. Do you and Ben, like, have plans?
A
We're. We're traveling. We're on the go. Yeah. So we're gonna be somewhere else. So I'm actually kind of excited to celebrate Valentine's Day out of the city because I think dinner reservations are gonna be a lot easier. So. What are you doing?
B
No, it's so stressful because I feel like, normally. Yeah, I feel like normally, you're like, yep, Ben got us a res. This really cool spot in Brooklyn. I'm like, oh, my God. I actually. Actually, I was planning, but I would do a funny story about this. Oh, I'm ready. So I honestly, I didn't even have to tell Ryan, like, hey, Valentine's Day. Is coming up. It's also like, during Fashion Week. I don't really know what I'm doing for Fashion Week, but I like to, like, kind of loosely block off whatever. And somehow Valentine's Day came up and he was like, oh, I made plans. I was like, oh, did you. Did you talk to anyone about it? Because now I'm like, what do you mean you made plans? Which is. Which was great because honestly, like, I love that he even thought to do it.
A
Yeah.
B
And we've had. And I feel like you'll understand if you live in New York or if you live in bigger cities. I feel like you'll understand this when you go on Resi or OpenTable in your specific area. I feel like there's always those first, like, five restaurants that are always there.
A
Yeah.
B
That are always available.
A
I mean, it's the five, the big five that are like, they have at times every 15 minutes. Because they are. You don't even have to worry. Like, there will always be reservation for those.
B
Always. And some of those restaurants are tasty. Like, don't get me wrong, they might.
A
Just be like big restaurants. So they have like a ton of tables or like, they're open all day. A lot of them are.
B
Yeah.
A
The breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or like lunch and dinner. Right. They're kind of like.
B
Yeah. Or they've just been around for a while and now there's like new buzzy spots, like, whatever it may be. But, like, there is. There's like, a few specific restaurants that seriously, like, pop up for me. And there is one that literally always pops up for me. So much so to the fact that I said to Ryan, we were walking by this restaurant, it's called the Dutch. You and I have been.
A
Oh, I feel like I've gone there against my will several times.
B
Against. Right. I don't know why I don't love it.
A
It's like a big, like, business lunchbox. I think people come from, like, out of town. And once again, it's on res. It's always available.
B
Always available in photo. Like, it really is a cute restaurant. I just don't love the food.
A
I. I've had mid experiences every time I go there, and I've. I've tried it several times at this point, so I feel that I can give an adequate review. I have gone there.
B
I've been there with you.
A
I feel like I've gone there like three or four times. And every time I'm like, why did I go? Yeah, like, maybe I should start suggesting somewhere new. Like, maybe I should speak up, because I do understand, like, when we go to la, we probably pick, like, the most basic places in Miami or somewhere else. So maybe that's on us to speak up. You know when people say, like, let's do a business lunch and.
B
Yeah, yeah, no, for sure. Like, I. I don't know. And I used to, like, go on my own with, like, people in New York. Like, I didn't know any better. And then I'm just like, it's always the. It's seriously the first thing I open. I see.
A
Yes.
B
So anyways, Ryan, I were on a walk the other day, and I was like, oh, my God. Like, I literally just said something like, the Dutch. Like, it still exists. Like, it's just always the first time I see. Like, I know I said something like that. Anyways, Ryan's like, I made plans. I was like, no way. And he was like, it'll be a surprise. I was like, do we want it to be a surprise? Like, I don't know. Like, we were just talking about how I don't want to surprise bachelorette, you know, like, maybe. And he, like, first planned for us to get cocktails somewhere that we might still do. So I'm not gonna say, but it was, like, a cute vibe. I was like, okay, okay. And then he was like, then we're gonna go to dinner at the door. And I had said to him, like, five minutes, like, well before. He was, like, deciding if he wants to tell me. I was like, is it one of the restaurants that's, like, on the first page of Resi because, you know, I'm gonna lose it. And he was like, I don't know. And then he was like, it. I was like, just tell me. And he goes, the Dutch. He was like, wait for me. It was not, like, even the first five. I was like, really? So I swear I opened my phone. The Dutch. The first one.
A
He's so close, though. So close. He knows how to use the app. I know.
B
It was so sweet that he even, like, without me saying, like, you should make us reservation. Like, he got that cocktails first and then the dinner, and, you know, and I'm just sharing this because I think it's, like, silly, funny, and, like.
A
So are you still gonna go there? Are you gonna try to.
B
No, we.
A
We are not go.
B
We are not. He was like, I know it's not Italian. I was like, it's not even about that.
A
You were like, it's just not for me.
B
Yeah, it's just not. Like, I. And I was like, I. I feel like I did say this to you, and maybe I'm in a trance, and maybe I didn't say it to him. I said it to someone else, but. Or said it to myself, but, like, I know that I feel this way about that place. And he was like, okay, so now I've kind of taken the reins and I've tried. Have you ever, like, utilized, like, rewards with, like, credit cards and stuff where you can call the concierge and, like, they help?
A
I don't think I've tried. One time I messaged amex and they were like, yeah, no, like. But I think I messaged the wrong.
B
Right. So there's a number on the back of the credit card. And I've heard from people that they get, like, the Polo Bar reservations and all these things. I'm not trying for Polo Bar on Valentine's Day.
A
That would be really hard. I just want to go in general. If anybody connected, Polar Bar would love to dine there. Really interesting.
B
Stunning.
A
Yeah.
B
And I feel like it would be like, a romantic, like, cozy movie spot.
A
Any day. It would be romantic.
B
I actually did go with, like, a brand one time.
A
Oh, really?
B
I guess you weren't there, but it was, like, during the day.
A
I remember some brand activations there, but I want to go on, like, a date.
B
Yeah.
A
Dinner. Or, like, girls, like, you know, we can do, like, Valentine's Day dinner.
B
Yeah, that would be cool. So I called amex and I was just like, I've never utilized the service before, but, like, what can you do? And she, like, gave me some suggestions and, like, a few of the restaurants I suggested to her. She was like, oh, we can't, like, for whatever reason, but I did put a couple. I'm not going to say it just in case we go, like, I don't want to jinx it, but like, a couple, like, of the hot spots, and she feels, like, semi confident that she be able to get us one of those reservations.
A
Wait, so you. You just called. That number was there and you said, I want to make a reservation.
B
Yeah. For Valentine's Day. Like, I honest. I said, I don't care what time, just, like, in the evening at some time.
A
Wow. And she was, like, willing to, like, was she chipper?
B
Yeah. That's, like, what their job is. She was like, oh, my God. Yeah. And she was like, by the way, if you ever want to, like, send flowers to someone or a gift, like, we can help with that too. Yeah. AMEX Platinum.
A
What?
B
I was shook. I have heard about this, but I've never tried it and let me.
A
So you could literally call them. I mean, obviously you have to pay, but like, if I want to send flowers to my mom or something, like, they can just do it for me.
B
I guess so.
A
Oh, my God. That's a big hack.
B
I know. I don't know if it's like, within New York City. I don't think so, like, because I've heard of my friends, like, calling and them helping them book a travel.
A
Wow.
B
Really cool. So had to shout that out, but so we'll see if. And I told Ryan, like, we kind of like collaborated on the restaurants. I was gonna pitch to her, but.
A
Pitch. Can she get you ones that, like, typically don't take reservations or like, like, did you say no to any?
B
There were a few that she said no to because they are online only, which means, like, they don't, like, they just don't work with amx. They. I didn't like, I was of understand it. But basically they like, wait for that. Like, if it's, you know, two weeks from the reservation, you can call. They wait for that. But then they also have poll because they're amex. Whatever. It's kind of like how they have global dining access on. But this is like one step up from that. So I don't know. We'll see. We'll see if this happens.
A
But is. It's amex on behalf of Daniel Carolyn on the phone.
B
Yeah, no, literally my client for Valentine's Day. But I want to try it on a day that, like, isn't so, like, booked up.
A
I saw Emily D. Donato, who I love following her.
B
Gosh, she's awesome.
A
She's just like, so awesome. Make a video that she was like, I'm like, way better in like a group under five. Like, under five people. She's like, I thrive. Like, I have a great personality. Like, I'm like, rocking. But then, like, when it gets like, more than that, she's like, I'm like, so quiet, like, whatever. And it got me thinking, like, what? What do you think you're best in?
B
This episode is sponsored by Better help you guys. It's the. It's the month of love. And I feel like, you know, Brooke and I both. We're both in relationships, but we have been single before. And I do remember those feelings of like, I would be in high school and, you know, my friend's valentine would bring her a teddy bear and I'm like, oh, where's my teddy bear? Like, I. I don't get it. However, I will say something like, therapy is amazing because you can talk to your therapist about all of these things and they really do make you feel just better about everything. And it's just so nice to talk to someone and have them be a sounding board. I've definitely, like talked through all of my relationships in therapy and I think it's a really amazing tool because you're talking to someone that's not involved in your life at all. And sometimes you don't want to talk to your friends about things like this. And you can kind of really get to identify what's going on in your relationship.
A
It's amazing by like working through it with like someone who's like a third party and just honestly, like, it's like a mirror. Like, it reflects back at you. You're like, it's a lot of self discovery. It is about you, about your relationships, about how you see the world, like in therapy.
B
And it just again, like, I feel like so many people are scared to talk about their relationship or their crushes or whatever it is with their friends because if something doesn't go right or.
A
Yeah.
B
Or whatever, you just get like nervous. And so someone like this, it's perfect. And like you said, it's like a mirror. You know, you're just like saying things and they're repeating it back to you and you're like, oh, oh. Like totally. You just, you just need that. So Better help has quality therapists. Their therapists work according to a very strict code of conduct and are fully licensed in the US they have an amazing therapist match commitment. Like what we love is that better help. Does that initial matching work for you so you can focus on your therapy goals? But then they also do like a short questionnaire to help identify your needs and preferences. And if you don't like your therapist for whatever reason, you can totally switch therapists anytime. And it's awesome because they have a ton of other tailored wrecks. They have over 30, 000. Actually 30, 000 therapists. BetterHelp is the world's largest online therapy platform, having served over 6 million people globally. And it works with an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 for a live session based on over 1.7 million client reviews. Sign up and get 10 off@betterhelp.com gals that's better. H E lp.com gals like, that is so cool.
A
What size group do you think?
B
Do you have your answer first? Like, I need to think.
A
I actually think that I do better at a larger dinner. I actually think that like not so large that it's like the table's so deep. But like I honestly think like an 8 to 10 person dinner. Like I. Because I, I can project enough to talk to everybody. Like I got a few good bits, you know, self deprecating bits or whatever that I can be like.
B
Yeah.
A
And that's all for tonight.
B
Thanks folks. You're good at like putting on a show.
A
Yes. But I also like like my little, my part of the table then too.
B
What about like on a trip?
A
Oh, that's a good question. Like size of a trip.
B
Yeah. Because I guess I was thinking trip and like for you and honestly for me, I think I'm better in like a group of like under five.
A
Yeah, yeah, I think so too. Well, I like to be mobile with a group of under five.
B
Yeah.
A
So once you get.
B
Yeah. On the go.
A
Once you get over five. I've been saying this thing.
B
What, the vocal Stim family?
A
Yeah. I guess it kind of is my stem rogue. So I'll describe people. Like I was just on the phone with my brother and I was like, there's three rogue men. And he thought it was the funniest thing ever. Like three rogue men.
B
Like I feel like you've been saying that, but maybe not to your family. And they're like, what specifically?
A
I guess rogue men. Like, oh, like there's like three guys, like, let's just say like in suits, in their backpacks, like walking down the road. I'm like, I don't know what they're up to. Like there's three rogue.
B
Yeah. That's like when we were in Nantucket and you're like strange men imposing on the table.
A
Yes. Yeah. They were rogue men. Yeah.
B
One thing about you, you like hate men sometimes.
A
I know. Sometimes I really do. Like, I'm just like, I. I'm just like not in the mood to entertain. That's.
B
Yeah. No, yeah.
A
When I'm talking about entertaining a table group, like I'm talking about ladies.
B
Like obviously.
A
Yeah. Like I actually think that most men at the table would be like, this woman is so fucking annoying. Like, I know.
B
I would agree. I mean like as the table gets bigger, then you're stuck talking to whoever you're with. Like I like an under circle table is preferred.
A
I love a circle. Yes, you're so right. Yes. Circle hits circle. I feel like I haven't been at a circle table in a minute.
B
Me either. And they're just so perfect because even you could have a table of 10.
A
I know. And if you're at a table. It's good.
B
Everyone know, guys, I sent the wedding thing to you. I saw someone at a wedding. She did a literal, full, like, circle. It wasn't like. It wasn't a full circle. It was like a. Yeah, no, it was a circle. Everyone could see each other. Whoa. And it was people. It was like a normal, like a big wedding. Like, at least 100, 200 people.
A
The table must have been enormous.
B
Yeah, but like, you. It was so beautiful in this big field and there was candlelit, whatever. And it's not like you're able to talk to people, obviously, but it's more like you can kind of like wave to people. You feel connected. And I feel like, so cool.
A
Have to be a theater in the round show.
B
Yeah, no, they're definitely Romeo and Juliet.
A
Like, in the round.
B
Like, you know, it'd be perfect. I don't think that's what this person had done. But like, the dance floor in the middle.
A
Wow.
B
I mean, there need to be exit points, obviously.
A
I know.
B
An entry points.
A
Yeah.
B
But yeah, now that I think about.
A
It also, like, sitting down when you are going out with, like, maybe, like, I remember, like, the first few times when I went out to eat with, like, Ben's family and, like, picking seats. That was the most stressful experience of my entire life. Like, when it's like, you like, oh.
B
You should be with him. But also.
A
Yeah, no, they're like, it's like, do you. Do you get fortune pick or you just like, I don't care. Like, I'll sit anywhere awkward.
B
Or like, if you go to the movies with, like, a group of friends.
A
Yes.
B
But like, maybe someone brought your friend and it's like, oh, well, you guys are closer. It's like this weird thing.
A
It is.
B
You're so right.
A
Actually now with movies, at least you buy your ticket individually, which is so such a. Why do they concept, I guess, so that people don't race to the theater and be like, oh, my God, I need this seat, or whatever. Like, it's kind of like, like Broadway. Like, you have your seat reserved. Like, I see the benefits of it, but the same time, like, there's something about, like, showing up to movie theater being like, oh, the back's empty. I'm going to take the back. Like, or like, oh, this. Yeah, this rose empty. Because, like, I want to choose the emptiest section. True. If I can. I don't care if it's closer to the front. I'd rather be emptier. Really. I like to, like, I honestly Something about watching a movie with someone, like, right next to me. I had this experience when I saw Marty Supreme. I was like, we're, like, on the couch together. Like, I was like, popcorn. Like, literally.
B
So, right.
A
It's intimate.
B
It's.
A
I'm like, hello there.
B
Like, yeah, you're so right. Being at the movie theater is like, sitting next to someone on the couch.
A
Especially when you're in New York City, things are a bit compact, I will say. And when the. You have a light recline.
B
Yeah.
A
Oh, my God. We're literally cozy. We're like. We're spooning. Like, yeah, we're on the couch together.
B
Yeah. Literally. Do you want some popcorn?
A
I felt like I had to offer.
B
Yeah.
A
It felt like, like, everything that she ordered, I was like, looks good. Like.
B
Oh, my God. Oh. So you're going to the bougie place where you can order things. That's fun.
A
Oh, the Alamo. The Alamo Drafthouse.
B
Oh, I've been wanting to go. Yeah, they want in Brooklyn or you.
A
Go to the one in Brooklyn. Oh, cool. Like, it's good. But, like, then again, I just miss the nostalgic of, like, the nostalgia of a classic movie theater.
B
Like, yeah, it's really cool.
A
Like, they bring you your popcorn in, like, a bowl, and technically it's, like, refillable. Like, I love a bag. True. I love a bag when this butter is soaked on the bottom. And I love just picking my seat. I love a little, like, a theater with some, like, you know, like, the seats are a little, like, worn. It doesn't need to be, like, so slick and modern.
B
Like, totally. Gosh, I gotta love a good movie theater.
A
Did you do movie theater birthday parties ever, growing up? Is that a thing in Florida?
B
No, I. I had heard of them, but I don't think I went to any. Or maybe one. Did you?
A
They were big. I had one. I had one in Island 16. If you guys know Long island, you know, when you're driving out east, we pass it. I. Every time I pass, I go Island 16. I had a birthday party there.
B
So you get, like, your own theater?
A
Yes. Yeah. You get your own. Did we get our own theater? Now they think about it. It was either a theater or, like, this was a big movie theater. So now they think about it. I remember we saw RV that was the movie. Oh, I love that movie still. Do you know that I've never seen it. Oh, no. It's like. It's a good cast. Who's in that one?
B
Stacked cast. I've heard of it. Is it a comedy.
A
2006. Holy. I just age myself so much. Oh, my God, that's crazy. Josh Hutcherson, Robin Williams.
B
Oh, my God.
A
Oh, my God. It was a good.
B
Love, Josh Hutcherson.
A
Me too. I still do. He's in, like a new show. I haven't watched it.
B
Oh, I didn't know.
A
I think it's called I love la and.
B
Oh, I've heard of that.
A
Yeah, I've been getting sort of clips. I'm like, he's still so charming.
B
That. That's not Josh.
A
Such a Josh. No.
B
Wait, so what do you do though, when you watch a movie, can you talk to your friends or like.
A
No, now that I think of it, I can't. I was young, so 2006. Seven. I was nine. Like, I was like. I have like blurry memories of this. I remember everyone got like a box combo. Because, you know when you're a kid, you get like little box combo, the.
B
Nachos and the this and the that.
A
Yeah, it's like you get a little soda or whatever. A mini size bag of like, everything. Like mini popcorn. Yeah.
B
The good old days. I know.
A
Times were just simpler back then.
B
The days of lunchables and candy. And your biggest issue is there's, you know, veggies in your lunchbox that day.
A
If you're like me. Every year we tell ourselves that we're gonna get better about meal planning. And every year I feel like, you know, you're a few days into January and then it bleeds into February and then, like, it all falls apart. Okay. But I truly have been realizing that, like, meals don't have to look one specific way. They don't always have to be these like, huge, huge gourmet, like, situations that took hours to prepare. They just have to fit your life. And that's what Marley Spoon does really well. Marley Spoon actually adapts to you. So some nights you cook, some nights you heat, some nights you just need d done fast and you just want to eat something. They've got options for all of it, and they've got meals that fit your schedule, not the other way around. I think Marley Spoon is just so great because of this flexibility. Like, I don't want necessarily all just like pre prepared meals. I want sometimes to make something cozy to, like, impress my boyfriend and like, cook him a delicious meal. Like, they have over 100 recipes to choose from each week, so. And they have like, comforting classics like Chicken Milanese with cucumber arugula salad. And they've got like fresh balance dishes like Everything. Bagel, salmon with truffle drive potatoes and green beans. And everything's made with quality ingredients. B
That's so cute. Ryan and I's first date was at a movie theater.
A
Yeah. You guys. Yeah.
B
You knew that. Oh yeah, I've talked about that. Yeah. Movie theaters, we go way back.
A
I do love a movie. I do love a movie for a first date. It's a little tough.
B
Yeah. There's a movie I'm really wanting to see. Oh. I'm wanting to re watch Housemaid and I'm waiting for it to get on like to streamers really bad.
A
Wait to re watch it again.
B
Yeah. Because Brian didn't see it.
A
I one thing about you and re watching movies, like I love that movie but like I don't need to ever watch it again. Literally ever, ever in my entire life. No, I know.
B
That's me with concerts, you know yeah. Yeah.
A
How many times we. We never. We haven't talked about in a while. How many times did you go see Drake? Five. Was it five?
B
At least four. Maybe five.
A
Are you a Harry Styles fan?
B
I was gonna bring that up.
A
Oh, you were?
B
I went to his last concert and I had the best time. I want to hear this new album, but if I like it, I would really like to go because he'll be here for 30 nights. But also, he's the. It's the only time in the country. It's the only location in the country. So I'm like thinking, oh, the cheap. The tickets will get cheaper. But maybe not because it's the only place he's doing it in the US as of now.
A
Are you a hairstyles New York tourism? No, I'm not. No. I'm not a Harry Styles fan. But this new album I did see it's on.
B
Yeah. It might be your vibe notes.
A
It says it's disco. Yeah. So if it's like, dancy, I'm into that other stuff. Like, I think he's so talented. It's like strawberry.
B
Yes.
A
Right.
B
Yes, that's him.
A
Watermelon.
B
Watermelon Sugar.
A
Yeah, I think he's great. I think he's also charming. He, like, runs marathons. Did you see that?
B
I did, yeah.
A
Like, I think that he's, you know, cool.
B
He's cool.
A
I. I think he. He's. He's really talented. I just never got by. He's like just one of those artists that, like, I feel like you had to get on the bandwagon in the One Direction days, and I just, like, never did, so.
B
No, I totally agree. I feel like I had to clear my name because I had said on the podcast, I think we did an unpopular opinions thing, and I was like, I don't get the hype about Harry Styles.
A
I will.
B
Literally, I said that. And then we saw. Don't Worry, Darling. Remember that.
A
He's. He was fantastic.
B
Was he fantastic.
A
Yeah.
B
And then his album came out. The. The. Is it Harry's House? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. The most recent one. And. Oh, my God, I was obsessed with it. Like, I feel like I know every song and I was like, so nervous because then I did get invited by a brand and I was so excited to go and I. Because I really did want to hear the music and I didn't want to take away, but I was like, wait, I actually. I'm excited. And I was so nervous to go. I was nervous people were going to hate me, but everyone was really accepting.
A
Normalize. Changing your opinion on an artist based on the new music that they put out. Yeah. Sometimes artists vary so differently. Like, I didn't like Taylor Swift when she did country. I did not like Taylor Swift.
B
Yeah, a lot of people feel that way.
A
I just. It didn't hit for me. And then she switched to pop, and I was like, I'm all, like, 1989. Like, I was like, I'm up. I'm all, yeah, let's go.
B
Like, it's so true. And I think people need to allow you to change your mind. Yeah.
A
Normalize that.
B
But, yeah, we'll see how his new album is.
A
That's, like, the progression of artists. Some people, like, also have the opposite experience. I feel like some people are like, oh, I love them in their early days. Then they, like, change their sound or whatever.
B
Yeah, that's so true. Speaking of, like, Taylor Swift and, like, Galentine's Bringing it Back. Who is your dream Galentine date?
A
I have to. I have to think on this.
B
I. I know, because I know you. You're gonna try and think of something, like, so cool.
A
I'm just so smart. No, I'm so different. Like, I just.
B
I feel like you could literally guess that's the people I'm thinking of. I have, like, two people that I.
A
Taylor Swift, obviously, she's one.
B
I mean, I feel like anyone would love to sit down.
A
Haley Bieber.
B
Yeah, those two. I knew Brooklyn, though.
A
You're big, too. I don't have, like, a person that, like, is, like, my muse, per se.
B
If we hadn't met Mel, she'd be a good one.
A
No, I am a fan. Like, But I don't. I won't, like, die on a hill for her music, but, like, in terms of, like, inspo Dua Lipa is an inspiration of mine, I feel.
B
Yeah, that would be a fun.
A
She reads books.
B
She's very smart, your twin.
A
Yeah. I don't know. I take a lot of inspiration from her in terms of her nail art.
B
Hair.
A
Yeah. Sometimes outfits and stuff. Yeah. Too. But, like, I don't know enough about her, honestly. Like, I don't even know how many siblings she has. Like, I don't really, like, know her lore.
B
No, I know. That's what I'm saying about you. I feel like you're like, I want to, like, have a good conversation with someone. I mean.
A
Oh, yeah. I think I would actually have a good conversation with her. I think that she's. She's deep.
B
She seems really cool in interviews. Like, very, like, funny, and, like, she's.
A
Like, let's just have a cocktail and dance. I'm like, yeah, that's so cool.
B
That is so awesome. I think that would be.
A
Yeah. Oh, God, I need to.
B
I know it's not fair because I've.
A
We should ask Instagram.
B
Oh, yeah. I'm curious who you feel like.
A
Well, comment on this week's, like, Instagram post maybe, like, and just tell us.
B
Yeah. Who your dream Galentine is. I'd be. Oh, anyone in the Kardashian family. I'd be very interested.
A
Chris. Honestly, for me, maybe the most. Because I just think that she's brilliant.
B
Yeah.
A
She's like, a mastermind. But I really. I've been recently, like, I've been watching the show. Have you been watching the show?
B
I haven't watched the last three episodes, but, yeah, I've been watching this.
A
I guess I haven't been keeping.
B
Yeah. Keeping up with the Kardashians. But, yes, I'm aware.
A
I've been soft keeping Up. I think I'm a Chloe girl.
B
She's awesome.
A
Like, I just. She comes on. I'm just like. She's so comforting.
B
Like, I don't know.
A
Describe it. Like, I just feel like she makes me feel like everything's gonna be okay.
B
She does. She's kind of that good. Like, middle ground between all of them.
A
Yes. Like, she still is relatable and everything, but she's also, like.
B
She keeps it real, you know?
A
Kim, you're being ridiculous. Like, she'll fall out, which I appreciate.
B
I see that for you. I, like, I've never thought, like. So, yeah. If you were to get dinner, who would you.
A
Would you pick in the Kardashian?
B
You've got me thinking. I mean, Kim, actually. I know Kim.
A
Yeah. I think that that would be.
B
I would really convo. Quite interesting. Something to think about. Also something Ryan's just getting ragged on today. I actually brought Ben up to Ryan. I was comparing.
A
Wow, that sounds like every conversation in my house. But the opposite.
B
I said, danielle got a mute me a bag for Christmas. Ben's in med school.
A
I know, I know.
B
I know. It's fun to be fun.
A
I'm just like, wow, nice bag. Like, look.
B
Look at that. Seven years in the making.
A
Something that I feel like is always on my to do list is to kind of, like, shape up my wardrobe and to really, like, hone in on my style. And I really love shopping at Quint for those, like, elevated essentials, because I want to feel effortless. I want my style to be like New York City chic. I wanted to be like, oh, I literally just threw this on and ran here. And I feel like I'm trying to edit my closet in a way to like get myself there. And Quince is really perfect for that because they're designed for layering, they're designed for mixing, and every piece is going to help build a timeless wardrobe that's made to last. I feel like I'm constantly doing these little mini closet cleanouts and I have to tell you, my quince item stay through every clean out. I have amazing Quinn sweaters. I have amazing silk tops. I have amazing linen pants. Something that I really remember is when I did my Italy trip with my family two years ago, I wore pretty much all Quinn's items because I felt like I had almost like a capsule wardrobe because all the pieces mix and matched so well together and the linen was just like so comfortable. Because they actually use high quality materials, like 100 European linen and organic cotton. And everything's built to hold up season over season. So they have amazing, like, fit and just fabrics. And Quint is going to work directly with those safe and ethical factories and they cut out the middlemen. So you're not paying for like a brand markup. That's basically how you save that. You're just getting the high quality clothing. Quincy is it. If you haven't shopped on quints, let the gals be the ones to tell you. Like, you gotta check it out. And it's like not too good to be true. Truly refresh your wardrobe with quince. Go to quince.comgals for free shipping on your order and 365 day returns. Now available in Canada too. That's Q-U-I-N-C-E-.comgals to get free shipping and 365 day returns. Quince.comgals Ryan's kind of a rogue man.
B
He's so rogue. We've talked about this internally.
A
No, internally. Like, he doesn't ask for gift advice literally ever.
B
Like, I'm like, that's why when he made the reservation, I was like, did you talk to anybody? Which I shouldn't say, like, whatever, but like, you know, bigger things. Like he, he always says, he's like, one day I'll just propose. I'm like, whoa, yeah, yeah. We gotta have like a real rogue man. He's so rogue. Like that. Like, so one rogue, one rogue. No, I literally love him so much. Just so easy to, like say silly things about him on the podcast. I know you Guys get it. You know, we're all girls here. We're just chatting with our friends at dinner right now.
A
Yeah, I feel like that's. That's the name. And some. Some men are, like, excellent at, like, holidays is the thing. And, like, you do look on social media and you're like, damn. Like, they really are that guy. Like, they're the. The guys are just, like. They nail it every time. Like, I feel like there's, like, guys that. Honestly, I feel like Harry Styles probably nails Valentine's Day gifts.
B
Probably nails every time.
A
He probably gets the most.
B
No, you're so right. Some guys just, like, no. And maybe it's because they saw their dad do it for their mom growing up or whatever. There's so many, like, things that surround it.
A
I feel like they have, like, a sense of. It's like a romantic gene, honestly, like, that you can. Romantic gene.
B
So true.
A
No, but it is, like, yeah. Where you just know how to charm a woman.
B
No, it's so true. You're so right. And it's like, Then you have to decide, though. Like, you know, if they don't have it, it's like, it's okay. Like, they. They. I am like, I'm in this mentality of, like, a few things you can teach them. And, like, I mean, Mel said it.
A
Even.
B
She's like, no. There's certain things you can say. Like, I really, really like that. Yeah, you pick your battles.
A
I mean, I agree. I feel like it's like, with. Yeah. Like, doing the dishes or whatever you're thinking. For me, like, Ben is great. He picks up everything around the house, but he will never make the bed, like, ever, ever, ever. And, like. But I'm like, you know, they can learn. Like, yeah, let them know. But I'm like, that's my one thing that I'm like, I. I'll have the rest of the house be a disaster.
B
But, like, the bed will be made, huh? Yeah. Everyone's got their thing. And it's like, so you can't compare. Like, it's like, you know, that's their thing. That's your thing. You know, Ryan's thing is he needs the hallway clear at all times by the door.
A
So I get that. That's fair.
B
So that's why he takes out the packages. I'm like, perfect.
A
Break.
B
Break down the boxes.
A
Yes. Yes.
B
But I. I don't care as much because I don't see it. Like, I'm not seeing it. I'm. You know, the hallways away.
A
I. I know what you mean. I. Because I. I feel like in my old apartment, I would store stuff in my hallway, but now for some reason, with it being like, the collection of both of our stuff, like, more shoes and stuff by the door. Like, I'm just like, I can't keep all my stuff here.
B
Yeah. What. Where will you be for Valentine's Day? Will you be in a different. Like.
A
Yeah, in a different state. I'll be in North Carolina.
B
Wow. Yeah. Have people send wrecks for V Day dinner.
A
Yeah, send Rex. Well, I'll already have it booked.
B
I think probably by this point, I feel. Go on Tik Tok.
A
And I feel like there will be more availability than New York two weeks before.
B
Oh, but like, it.
A
It. I feel like you still have to book it in advance. I feel like showing up on Valentine's Day is rogue. Like that rogue.
B
Definitely a little old.
A
So when will they tell you about your reservation? By.
B
For one of the places? Two weeks, and then the other place a week before two weeks.
A
That.
B
That's so. I think this weekend I will find out about one of them big things. Go.
A
Announcements on the way.
B
No, you guys will know when I post that Valentine's Day dinner, you'll be like, oh, she got it. You'll just.
A
She got it.
B
You'll know. And it's not even. Like, I'll tell you after. It's like, not even, but.
A
Oh, have you been before?
B
I have, but I know it.
A
Because you love a repeat place.
B
I know, but you'll. You could. You know the place. It's a. It's not carbon, but it's that energy of like. Yeah. Like, Brian hasn't been. And he talks about it a lot.
A
Lot. So I see one thing about you. You love a repeat.
B
I do. I just love familiarity. I. I'm watching Gossip Girl for the eighth time. Like, it's just nice to.
A
I'll re. Watch TV shows to be fair, but not like, sit down. Re Watch it. It's more of like a background watch at the second or third.
B
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's just on versus, like, when I.
A
Watch it for the first time, but I don't go back. Like, people will go back and watch old seasons of Like Traders when the new one comes out. I'm like, I already watched it.
B
Like, yeah.
A
You know what I'm saying? Like, I don't feel the need.
B
Yeah. Reality tv. I haven't really rewatched.
A
Would you rewatch Love Island?
B
No season.
A
Like, I feel we lived it, you know?
B
Yeah.
A
No.
B
And it's just so many Episodes. Yeah, I would. I also wouldn't, like, re listen to a podcast episode unless it was, like, a funny gals on the go, one that I wanted to go listen back to. Would you?
A
Oh, no, I don't think I would re. Listen to podcast even. Mel. I, like, tried to relisten. I was like, it's just.
B
It's just the time and place. You had to be there.
A
I was watching at Mickey getting nails done. Fantastic show that she always has on the back tv. Oh, my God. It's. It's a. I'm, like, literally about to go home and watch this because I love a dating show. It's called Singles Inferno, and it's a Korean, like, Bachelor, basically.
B
Cool.
A
And she had it, like, with the English dubbed, and I just was obsessed. I mean, these people, they're, like, just beautiful people, and they. It's, like, less corny than the Bachelor. That's the best way that I can describe it. Like, the challenges are not as, like, I don't know. Get up there and do stand up. Yeah.
B
Get up there.
A
Yeah. Give me a quick five. I do. I. I think for our culture, like, we love that. You know, we're like, yay, fun. Give me more, like, make out.
B
Yeah. This one's a little less, like, dance on each other.
A
Yes. Yes. It's more like, okay, like, do this challenge, you know, you need to acquire these things, whatever, and then, like, come.
B
Back and then you bond over.
A
Oh, and you have to vote. They vote on, like, who they like the most, essentially. So it's kind of Valentine's coded because they open their mailboxes.
B
Oh, cute.
A
And, like, they'll see, but they're, like, anonymous notes. But, like, some people get none, and some people get, like, three. And I'm like, wow, I feel bad for that. And they, like, don't tell each other.
B
Valentine's a bit like.
A
And someone will go back sad, and they'll be like, oh, how did it go? And they're like, it was okay.
B
Like, yeah, my God, the mailbox. I like that idea, though, for TV purposes.
A
No. I literally want to go home and keep watching this. She's like. I was like. Towards the end of one of the episodes, I was like, what happens next?
B
Yeah, our. Our nail girl Mickey always has good TV on. She had some interior design show on the other day, and I was like, I need to go home and watch this.
A
She had British Bake off on.
B
That's what she loves. British Bake off, really? Oh, my God. Almost every other time I'm there. It's British Bake Off. Have you not had that experience?
A
I feel like it's always just a hot Netflix show. She loves Netflix.
B
I know, but then sometimes we have the issue where it's like, a show we're watching, but she's ahead. I'm like, mickey, I like. I. You're spoiling things for me. Could we go back an episode? And obviously we're watching Tell Me Lies.
A
Yeah, yeah. I'm keeping up with Tell Me Lies.
B
Tell Me Lies Tuesdays. That's really, really fun. I don't want it to end.
A
Yeah, it's good. It's good.
B
And award shows are happening. The Grammys just happen. We've got Oscars.
A
I, like, don't watch the movies, though. Like, do you?
B
I know. I watched. Actually, you're gonna think it's crazy that I watch this, but I actually think, based off what you tell me, that you and Ben would like it. Begonia. Have you heard about this?
A
No.
B
It's, like, actually an insane movie. Like, I can't believe I watched it, but I really, really enjoyed it.
A
What? Streaming service. Like a roll?
B
No, no, you've got it. I forget. I Google it. Maybe prime or. Okay, I don't know, but whatever. You have them.
A
Okay.
B
And it's with Emma Stone, but, like, these guys basically think she's an alien. And they, like, come and she's, like, the CEO of, like, a huge company, and they, like, try to, like, convince everyone she's an alien and, like, capture her and.
A
But she's not actually an alien.
B
Well, you don't. You have to find out. But she's like, guys, I'm not an alien. Like, come on, this is stupid. And it's nominated for an Oscar for, I think, Best Picture. And then she's also nominated as, like, Best Actress or something. So then when that happened, when I watched that, I was like, all right, now I kind of want to watch some more Oscar movies. But I have, like, a weird thing.
A
With, like, critically acclaimed movies where I think that they're gonna be bad, but they usually are good. But, like, it's my own stubbornness.
B
No, no. Like, they sometimes are bad, okay? For, like, our taste. Like, we're not, you know, like, deep thinkers.
A
No.
B
Like, I go and watch this with Delaney, and she's like, oh, that. That one's gonna win for sure. I'm like, how do you.
A
Like, how did you.
B
And it's always, Always. It's always with the Oscars. I swear, it's always this one movie that sweeps that I've never heard of. Yeah, it's always the one around.
A
Like, indie film.
B
Yeah. Like, Begonia's not gonna win a thing because I watched it.
A
It's too mainstream.
B
It's too mainstream. It's gonna be. I actually though one battle after another. Everyone's talking about. That would be, like, one to watch. I feel like with Leonardo DiCaprio, we.
A
Literally scrolled past that on HBO, like.
B
The other day, I feel like. And we're like, oh, tens I've heard.
A
Or on something.
B
Something. Who knows? I was like, no, no, I know R. Watched it.
A
Do I want to be locked up for, like, two and a half hours? Like, Leonardo DiCaprio. Like, I don't love a war movie to begin with.
B
Me either.
A
Oh, my God.
B
So. But there's also Sinners with Michael B. Jordan. Interesting.
A
Is that a scary movie?
B
I heard it's like, thriller. I don't know if it's so scary. I was told I could watch it, and then if I had legs, I'd kick. You also was getting a lot of awards for. Or the main actress got an award at the Golden Globes.
A
I don't. I haven't heard of that one.
B
I know, but now I'm, like, curious. But then I read the description. It seems very sad. I don't know. They're all, like, so intense. Like, it's never a comedy.
A
Isn't that one of them?
B
Yeah, I do want to see that.
A
What is it about?
B
I believe it's about the life of Shakespeare. I believe, like, his life. Or it's about the life of one of his characters. I forget.
A
Well, Hamlet is.
B
Yeah.
A
But I don't know if that was. I wasn't sure if that was a parallel, I think. Are you, like, wanting so boring to me, like, that's giving, like, 10th grade, like, MLA format. Like, I just. I'm not interested. Like, yeah, that's like the hater. That's the stubbornness. Like.
B
Yeah, you know, like, I'm gonna watch Valentine's Day. No.
A
I'm literally like, Traders is amazing television. And these critically acclaimed films are not good.
B
Like, no, I. It. It really is crazy because also, if you, like, get tied to one of these movies or one of the actors, it's like, how did they not win? You know, it's. At the end of the day, it's only. It's like these people that are choosing.
A
Who is the Academy. Yeah.
B
I don't know. I literally don't know. I think it's probably, like, for music, it's probably a ton of Producers and stuff like that. But at the end of the day, it's however many people that are picking, and unless it's a people's choice one. And that's just that group that decided.
A
And do you ever think, like, the one or two people who, like, get nominated for stuff but don't show up, Are you ever like, why aren't you there?
B
I think it's absolutely crazy.
A
It just happened for Golden Globes or something. I was a few people where. What could you possibly be doing? Unless you have an emergency. What could you possibly be doing that's more important than winning your award?
B
Like, I completely agree. It's like, oh, they're out filming in Australia. I'm like, but if it's also in.
A
The same industry, everyone from Australia should be here.
B
Yeah, I completely. I completely agree. I think it's so crazy when they just show, like, the photo and everyone else is there. They're there. That happened a few times. The Golden Globes. You're right.
A
And someone won one. I've.
B
Yeah, someone won one. They're like, he's. We're accepting.
A
Yes. Because I remember saying. I was like, oh, well, he's not gonna win. Because they never give it to someone who's not there.
B
Yeah, totally.
A
And because I feel like, on principle, they're like, they didn't show up. Like, they're not gonna get this trophy.
B
I would do that if I was 100.
A
It's like, give it to the celebrity that, you know, cleared their schedule to show up.
B
Yeah. No, you're so right. Oh, we saw Marty Supreme. So that's another one that's nominated, and that's the only one you and Ben should watch. Begonia.
A
Okay.
B
If you find some time, I think, because you. It's kind of like sci fi.
A
Ish. I will watch. I will watch.
B
It's a little gory.
A
That's fine.
B
And a little dark. But then it's, like, funny, weird.
A
Okay.
B
I think you like it.
A
So, like. Okay, well, the pit is, like, gory, and I watch it, and I like it, though. Wow.
B
Yeah.
A
But not as gory as, like. Like, I. There will be, like, one, like, surgical moment. I just turn away and then it's like, not. You know what I mean?
B
Yeah.
A
It's not like the whole show is like. Like. No.
B
Yeah. This kind of. This. This movie's a little campy. Like, there's some, like.
A
Oh, overacting and, like. Yeah.
B
Kind of like.
A
Is that what you mean by camp?
B
Yeah. I'll tell you after, in case I don't want to spoil for anyone.
A
Like, theater. Like, grand. Like, Lady Gaga's camp. Like, I think of, like.
B
Okay, no, not camping that way, but, like, I don't know. Like, it's just weird.
A
Okay.
B
I don't know. Explain.
A
I do like Emma Stone a lot, though.
B
Yeah. She's an amazing actress in this. Like, you're gonna really stunned.
A
Wow. Well, you're really talking it up.
B
I know. Well, so many people talked it up to me. And basically I made Delaney tell me the whole story because I didn't think I was gonna watch it. And then she told me the whole thing, and I was like, oh, now I want to watch it.
A
Okay, so. So I'm watching Begonia.
B
Yeah.
A
If you guys are wondering what I'm.
B
Up to, Brooke is watching Begonia.
A
Yeah.
B
Wait, I have something to say.
A
Yeah.
B
So Brooke and I obviously went on a Disney cruise, which was so fun. And I made this tick tock that ended up going so viral. It was just. It's not like, viral, but, like, it did so well. Yeah. Like, end the night with me. And it was like me coming into my stateroom, you know, And. And I remember I was like, brooke, it's, like, doing really well, and it's just like, I do these videos all the time.
A
Time.
B
It is still doing so well. Whatever. But I, like, went and looked at the comments the other day. I was like, what's, like, going on over here? Everyone thinks I went on the Disney cruise alone.
A
Oh, because you were like, wind down with me. Yeah.
B
Yes. And there's no one else in my room. And. And they're like, wow. Like, what is it like, cruising solo? Like, would you cruise families?
A
You probably see, like, I'm like, these.
B
People probably think I'm crazy. And like, maybe one person was like, oh, maybe I'll keep considerate now that I've seen your video. And I was like, this is.
A
I don't think Cruising Soul is crazy. I think Cruising Soul on a Disney cruise is kind of crazy just because it's, like, family. It's like, it's designed for families.
B
Like, it is. It is a family thing. Yeah. I think a. You know, another cruise line that would be great.
A
Honestly, I've never been on, like, a celebrity cruise or, like, a Princess cruise or any of those ones, but I feel like, like, those ones that are like, oh, I went on. What's the one that's virgin? Oh, yeah, that virgin one. Yeah, that adult only.
B
Yeah.
A
No kids. You have to be like, rogue man.
B
Yeah, rogue man. Rogue woman steps on to Crew, you're literally our rogue man. Like, the comments were so funny and, like, they were being so serious, but I was like, oh, my God, I'm not gonna, like, clear my name.
A
Is it doing well on reels and Tick Tock?
B
Yeah, both.
A
It's funny when that happens, right? It is.
B
You're like, whoa, that one. Like, that's happened to you too. I feel like, oh, this is the one we all like.
A
And, you know, it's like, universally liked when on both, I'm like, oh, didn't just hit on one. It double confirmed.
B
Like, you're so right. When like, both platforms, I feel like a lot of times for me, my reels do better than my tick tocks. But then if a tick tock really hits, it really hits. I feel like it's easier to get.
A
Well, it's been a minute. I've been dry.
B
No, same jail or whatever.
A
I say that, but I'm like, no, my controversy sucks. I'm like, let me out of view jail.
B
No, I love to say that. I'm like, yeah, no, it's just Tick tock's having a bad week, you know? Yeah, not on it. So, yeah, that happened to me. We also haven't talked about the fact that 2016 is trending.
A
No, we haven't.
B
And, like, 2016, going back and looking at the photos was so much fun.
A
So much fun. I saw that you posted it first, actually. I saw, like, you were one of the first people that I noticed that I followed at least post the trend. And I immediately cracked my fingers and went on facebook.com.
B
And you took on Face.
A
Yep. And I pulled from my album albums on Facebook.
B
That's. You found some. Some goals. We actually did a post on Gals in the Go podcast, Instagram of, like, a ton of photos that, you know, because Brooke and I were literally friends in 2016, which is so cool. 10 years ago.
A
Going on trips together.
B
Yeah, Actively going on trips together. It was like the year of, like, playlist Live. And I was a junior in high school. I think, like, it's just so crazy.
A
You lived a lot of life for a junior in high school.
B
By that point, I mean, damn, you were at Georgia. Yeah, I had visited you at Georgia that year.
A
Freshman and into sophomore.
B
Because into sophomore, I, like, used your friend's fake id.
A
Like, oh, my God, you could literally use a credit card at that time.
B
I know. And you were. I remember you were telling me that.
A
And I was like, everyone gets nervous. No, of course. I don't know what it's like, now. I can't speak on it now, but, like, at the time, I remember freaking out, but they were like, you literally just need something. Yeah, just something. And I was like, what would. I don't. I don't get it. And then I think that I ended up with this one because a girl picked it up off the floor of a bar and, like, sold it, and I bought it. I looked literally nothing like this person. The weight was so off. Like, they were way, way smaller than I was. I was like, this is just. They're gonna have to believe that I changed my look.
B
It's so funny, though. I feel like your first few times, you're like, okay, I need to know what, like, my horoscope would be, what city I'm from.
A
You know, Like, I got rejected more times with my vague idea, like. Like, in my hometown and stuff then.
B
Yeah. Which is.
A
Have you ever been rejected with a fake?
B
Yeah, in Miami with a friend trying to get to one of those cool clubs. And we had a promoter, so we thought, like, that was gonna help. And nope. They looked at both of our IDs, and they, like, opened the draw thing. Like, the rope, you know, they're like, okay, come on in, and. But the rope that they had opened was to have us exit. Like, I was just like, oh, perfect.
A
Your id.
B
Or they. Oh, yeah. They kept. Yeah.
A
Oh, that's so savage. When they keep it.
B
We were pissed.
A
Buy it back or something. I'm like, this. That's so.
B
We didn't try. Granted. We were so embarrass. Paris. We're, like, in little, like, dresses in Miami, trying to be fun. And. Oh, my God. So then we couldn't use it the rest of the trip. And it had worked at, like, other places, so we were just like. I guess to the pool we go.
A
Damn. I remember. Oh, my God. Remember the days when that was the greatest stress? Like, do they. Will they take RDs, like, whatever, seriously?
B
Or, like, when you had a really good fake at Playlist Live, and so you'd get us all drinks.
A
Like, but what really good fake. I remember senior year of high school, spring break, we went to Clearwater beach, and I. We all went out, like, we were going to, like, a bar one night, and we all, like, all got rejected in line except for, like, one guy. Dang.
B
Damn.
A
Because I think he had his brother's, like, old one or something.
B
Oh, my God.
A
Yeah. The rest of us, we're like, have fun in there, I guess, because we didn't get in. Yeah.
B
So he likes. Wow. Yeah, no, I know. It's like, what? That was always awkward too, if like half. Half the group got in.
A
It's like, have a good time, I guess.
B
Yeah. Like, yeah, you almost need to have like a pack or like, decide like, okay, if some people get in, are we going to let them stay? Are we going to.
A
You have an early birthday, so I guess you didn't have to worry about that. But I feel like people like, for your year. But I feel like people who have like a later birthday, they're like, you know what I'm saying? Like, when all their friends turn 21.
B
Yes. Then you're like, last ones.
A
And it's like, oh, damn.
B
No, it sucked. I had a friend that was born in May and like, she was like, like, spring break.
A
That's spring break.
B
Oh, yeah, that was. Yeah, we had a funny spring break where one of my friends was not 18 yet. And on the cruise. You can like, drink when you're 18. And there was like a nightclub, it's called Rex. I'll never forget it. And yeah, you know, the vibes. And we all got in except for her.
A
And they really were that.
B
We really tried to get her in and they were just so strict.
A
And what did she do?
B
I think I left cuz I was in a relationship at that time. So I let the two, like, single girls go in and I went and drank tea with her in the food court.
A
Wow, you're such a real one for them. Like, oh, my God.
B
I was like, all right, you girls go have fun. We'll go drink tea.
A
Like, oh, my God, that's so sad. I think you could have like, gone to the bar for the two of.
B
You and been like, look, no, they.
A
They let you do two drinks.
B
They wouldn't let us go in.
A
Oh.
B
Or wouldn't let her go in to.
A
Like. I see.
B
Yeah. Because they, like, scan your room key. Like, it wasn't even like a fake id.
A
Yeah. Biometrics, like, they're like, we have your passport it on file, ma'.
B
Am.
A
Yeah.
B
So.
A
Wow, that's really good stuff. Oh, my God. Well, Happy Valentine's. Happy Valentine's.
