Danielle
Hello, you guys. What's up? Welcome back to Gals on the Go podcast. I'm Danielle.
Brooke
I'm Brooke. Happy Wednesday, guys.
Danielle
Happy Wednesday. There is so much to be said. It's a late night recording.
Brooke
Late night, late night pm. It just feels. It's been pitch black for hours.
Danielle
No, you literally have to get all of your daylight in like, I swear it's making me want to wake up earlier just to enjoy the sun.
Brooke
I know. I feel like that meme with like the candlestick and it's like how it feels going out out after night time.
Danielle
Yes, it really does. It is like fun and festive. Like you can see Christmas lights more. It's all. But then after December, it's not very exciting.
Brooke
No, that's the dark time.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah, but.
Danielle
But we're in the light times right now, so we'll.
Brooke
Here we are.
Danielle
We'll enjoy that.
Brooke
The holiday glow.
Danielle
The holiday glow. It's the holiday season. Are you listening to holiday music right now?
Brooke
Yeah, not like only holiday. Have you switched to exclusive?
Danielle
No, no, I'm not exclusively to holiday music. It's actually crazy too. Ryan hasn't really worn a Santa hat. I was gonna say he didn't wear it in Georgia.
Brooke
Would he have worn it to the game?
Danielle
I don't know.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
He has a Georgia one.
Danielle
I did not bring it up though. I was like, yeah, you're like, yeah.
Brooke
You can't bring attention to it sometimes. Yeah.
Danielle
Yeah. The gals were on the go this past weekend. We got a last minute opportunity to go to the SEC championship game in T Mobile, which was so exciting for us.
Brooke
So exciting. Always fun. It's a treat to go to a game with Danielle and Ryan because they, I mean, you guys, I hope you all get to experience it one day.
Danielle
I actually my dad text me and he was like, Ryan seems a little bit more relaxed this game. I felt that way, but that's because.
Brooke
I think they were up so much right away that he felt safe.
Danielle
Yeah, he was like, all good. No, I'm really happy we won for like so many reasons. So many reasons.
Brooke
No, I know you're like project. Like, are you like planning to go to the next few games? Like what's the. The. Well, ye.
Danielle
Yeah. So we were watching the like college football playoffs selection show on the plane back and it's looking like maybe you already know this, but George is going to be playing Tulane and Yeah, either Tulane or Ole Miss. Probably Ole Miss, but like rooting for Tulane too, of course. In the Sugar bowl on New Year's Day, so probably won't be going to that. Unless anyone wants to take the gals, like, would so be excited.
Brooke
But I would be open to going. I went to that game also in 2018. Yeah. I went to, like, a lot of these back. Back in my. When I was a student. So fun and.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
So fun.
Brooke
New Orleans is, like, a time though, and I like.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
You know. Yeah, you got to, like, travel.
Danielle
No, for sure. And, like, definitely, like, I have New Year's Eve plans in the city, so, like, it would definitely be like a wake up and go the next morning. I mean, plans could be changed. Wink, wink. But yeah. Yeah. I don't know. But very excited about that. And then there'll be, like, more semifinals and the national championship, which is in Miami.
Brooke
Yeah, that's really cool. Go, go, Dogs.
Danielle
Go down.
I mean, I went to the national championship in Indiana once, and it was freezing cold, so Miami would be great.
Brooke
Yeah, the warm, sunny, beautiful Miami.
Danielle
I am really happy for all the Hoosiers out there. Like, oh, that's so exciting, because it's.
Brooke
Been a minute right.
Danielle
Since they've never.
Brooke
Oh, never.
Danielle
They've never gone to the national champ or. Sorry. They've never been champions or they've never been number one. Okay. They've never been number one in college football.
Brooke
Oh, that's exciting then, to see your.
Danielle
Team, you know, do well.
Brooke
And the Midwesterners, they deserve it.
Danielle
I really. I said the national championship because I honestly could see them just, like, randomly taking all the way their coaches, like, incredible. Like, could be really fun.
Brooke
So you're such a. You're so knowledgeable.
Danielle
It's really. Ryan, like, that's so helpful.
Brooke
If he says something, do you take his fat. His word at, like, face value? Like.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yes.
Danielle
Oh, my God. I meant to tell you. So we. So is Brooke and I that got to go to Atlanta this past weekend, and then Darcy McQueenie, who went to Alabama, and she was there with her newly fiance. Fiance new, newly engaged.
Brooke
They got engaged, like, literally last week. It was like, we got them. Right. I felt right when I saw them.
Danielle
I know.
Brooke
Nice to see you. Congrats.
Danielle
Yeah. Like, getting it out in the same sentence, because it's like, her content right now is very, like, engagement heavy. Yeah. But it was so funny after the game, they wanted to go watch the Ohio State, Indiana game. And, you know, I was trying to be nice to Braden, her guy. You know, I was trying to get. Because we had just. You know, Alabama had just lost.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
He was.
Danielle
I know he was very upset. They went to Alabama and so I said to Braden, I was like, so.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Tell me about Ohio State.
Danielle
Like, how are we feeling? Like, you know, what are the top players? And Ryan looks me goes, wait, but I. I'm your football person. Like, I tell you everything. I was like, ryan, I'm trying to.
Brooke
Get him excited because he's like, your console.
Danielle
He's my console.
Brooke
Go to him. And he, like, I kind of do the same thing. Not obviously not with football, but with Ben. Like, if he tells me, like, a fact about something, like, I just take it as truth. Like, totally repeated to someone else. Like, his opinion almost becomes my opinion in a way.
Danielle
You are one.
Brooke
Oh, yeah. Like, I'm like, that's. That's the best brand of such and such. Like, I'm like, I actually don't even know that to be true. I just know that's what Ben told me.
Danielle
No, I mean, I do that with you. I mean, anyone, like, someone tells me something, like, so that's correct.
Brooke
Like a fact checker.
Danielle
Yeah, we do need an on site fact checker.
Brooke
Just so that you trust people. I feel like that's nice. Like, the people that are closest to you. Like, that's nice that, like, you know, Ryan, you trust his football opinion so much that if he says, like, you know, watch out for that guy, you're watching out. Yeah.
Danielle
You know, it's really fun. It's like, a fun thing to bond about, for sure. We met so many of you guys this weekend. Thank you for coming up to us, making us look cool, honestly.
Brooke
Totally. I. Yeah, I really proved that. The Gap, they're still in Athens.
Danielle
Yes. Met some gals actively at uga.
Brooke
Yeah. So thank you for making us feel really, really cool. Yeah, well, like, when, you know, you're there, like, on a work trip, and.
Danielle
Like, yeah, we're doing, like, our work.
Brooke
Trip things, like, you know, taking photos, and then people are like, oh, my God, Brooke and Daniel. I'm like, thank you, thank you. It almost seems like we paid them. Like, it literally couldn't have been any better. I was like, thank you, thank you, thank you. It couldn't have been better planned. Like, no. That was so cool, so smooth. Thank you. And we will always stop to say hi to you guys, by the way. Like, I feel like that needs to be said. I think, you know, you might be like, oh, my God, they're in the middle of something and they're doing something. Like, never pause off to the side for one second. Like, we will.
Danielle
Speaking of pausing off to the side, Brooke and I almost gotten A little bit of a tiff. In line for the bathroom.
Brooke
Oh, my gosh.
Danielle
I'm still thinking about that.
Brooke
That really so strange.
Danielle
I feel like we always talk about, like, line cutting. Just line general.
Brooke
Where was.
Danielle
I was at this Morgan Wallen concert one time in the bathroom line. People were just so, like, what's up with bathroom lines? I don't know. Brooke and I are in line to pee. We, you know, we are in line, and these two girls shout out to you guys came over. So nice.
Brooke
So cute.
Danielle
We're chatting. We're taking a selfie. The line is still long, but you know when, like, the line's moving in front of you so there's, like, a space.
Brooke
There is a space, but there was.
Danielle
Plenty more to go.
Brooke
Plenty of line left. Yes.
Danielle
Plenty of line left. We weren't going anywhere.
Brooke
No, definitely not. And I just wasn't even seeing this comment. Like, I. I thought it was almost a mistake. But these three. Older. I have to say older, because they weren't like, young college.
Danielle
No.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
They were mothers.
Brooke
Yeah. Yeah.
Danielle
With children, probably.
Brooke
Yeah. They just completely walked around us and then just kept going. And then we ended our conversation. You'd think that they would, you know, notice. Oh, my gosh. Wait, you guys.
Danielle
Yeah, that's what you really mean. No, no. And Brooke goes.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
I love Brooke.
Danielle
She goes, oh, sorry, we have some line cutters over here. And then I got fired up, too. I was like, wait. Yeah, that' weird. Like, we never left the line. Like, I was definitely being.
Brooke
No, we were definitely like. And they were acting like they didn't hear us.
Danielle
They were guys. They were literally all three of them. I think they realized they messed up or they just were really embarrassed. So they all three were just like. I know.
Brooke
They stood their ground. Honestly, good for them for standing their ground. Like, they made a decision and they weren't willing to back down.
Danielle
Yeah. And I don't think they knew each other either.
Brooke
I think. Really?
Danielle
No, none of that.
Brooke
I mean.
Danielle
Or they just all weren't talking to each other for that, like, two minutes.
Brooke
I took it as if they were so awkward just with us being there. They didn't want to make eye contact.
Danielle
Piss me off. I don't.
Brooke
Yeah, I know. I know. I. You hate to see.
Danielle
You hate to see stuff like that.
Brooke
Or at least ask. They'd be like, wait, are you still. Like, they could have totally interrupted our conversation and asked and, like, like, let.
Danielle
Us talk to the gal pals.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Do you, like.
Brooke
Are you. Are you guys online? Yeah.
Danielle
I've done that before, like, oh, totally. Can I, you know, just ask?
Brooke
Hey, just ask. Just ask. Also, I want to clarify one more thing because we said on, like, I think two episodes ago, I totally said I was. Oh, my DMs. I was. Please. Like, I'm so bad with my DMS with friends and that. Like, mine. It. It's so Such a messy, messy, bad place. And then I've got a few messages from you guys. Like, wait, it makes me so sad you don't read your DMs or, like, reply to your DMs, and I have to say, I actually do reply. Definitely not to everyone. But, like, today, just, like, a few people replied to my story, and I had a conversation with probably three different people. Just, like, you know, to pick my top three of the day.
Danielle
Like, no, I. I'm so glad you brought this up, Brooke. I got a message today. I screenshot it. That was so funny. Danielle. This is a message for Brooke. She doesn't check her DMs, but you do tell her running on a treadmill is so much harder than running outside. And I don't know how she does it. I'm a runner and can't do more than two on a treadmill, so.
Brooke
Wow.
Danielle
But Danielle, Danielle, this is a message. I'm like, this is getting out of hand.
Brooke
I do read my dms. That's really, really funny. No, you don't have to message Danielle for me. I read my dms and I don't. Like, I'm not like, oh, my God, DMS are so annoying. I actually love DMS from you guys because you guys are informative. You guys are like, I appreciate your opinion. It's like the random replies from people I've met once or twice that are.
Danielle
Like, like, so cool. Yeah, awesome.
Brooke
Like, beautiful. Like, which is so nice. Like, I'm like, yeah. Oh, yeah, tell me I'm beautiful. Like, you know, like, that's great. But you're like, it's clogging up the dms. You know, like, I would rather see the DMS from.
Danielle
Yeah, you're messaging them. Not, like, the friends. Like, you're. You're actually more in your DMs with our followers rather than 100 friends I like, can confirm.
Brooke
And I do see them. I mean, do I read every single one? Like, sometimes ones get lost. I'm sure you can say that too. Like, you know, you get one busy day and then they.
Danielle
They go away.
Brooke
But I. I really appreciate, especially, like, with all my new hobbies and stuff, you guys are so informative and so helpful. So thank you.
Danielle
No, seriously, I. I'm doing vlogmas right now, and I was asking people of, like, you know, what are the things you guys want me to see to see me do? And I'm learning about things in New York I didn't know about. You know, like, apparently there's really good hot chocolate at Rigor Hill Market in Tribeca.
Brooke
I've heard about this place.
Danielle
I want to go. It's right over here.
Brooke
Yeah. So many markets in Tribeca. What's the deal with the Tribeca in the markets?
Danielle
Like, Yeah, I don't know. Are you gonna go to Medal Lane? Are you still holding it?
Brooke
No, I will go, but I don't even know what I would get. Like, what are they known. They're known for the chicken salad, I guess.
Danielle
The. Yeah, whatever. I. I think they're just known for, like, the prepared foods and just the experience. I mean, obviously overpriced, but my friend.
Brooke
Was like, is there no line anymore?
Danielle
I don't know. It's a good question. It was really good. But it's also, like, I don't need to, like, go back every week for, like, a grocery home. It was like an experience on a Sunday. Really? Like, doing that.
Brooke
Yeah. To get me to wait on a line, which most things that have a line are worth it, honestly, in New York, but to get me to wait on. What are you laughing about?
Danielle
Are you saying you're not patient?
Brooke
No, I'm saying that I weigh. Is it worth it? Like, you know, like, if I'm already, like, I don't really want to go, but then there's a line like, I'm definitely not going to, you know, but if I'm intrigued by it, I'll win the line. Yeah.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Danielle
So you're not intrigued enough to wait?
Brooke
I'm intrigued, but not like. I feel like it definitely didn't lose the hype. Like, I feel like it was, like, such a big, big bring the boom.
Danielle
Three long blasts.
Brooke
It was one long blast. Honestly. One long press push. Like, it was like Vogue, Architectural Digest.
Danielle
So true.
Brooke
Everything all at once. Like, that was crazy.
Danielle
Everything.
Brooke
So maybe someday. One.
Danielle
Someday.
Brooke
Someday.
Danielle
I. I can't wait.
Brooke
Yeah. The real market that everyone's talking about right now is Stu Leonards.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Danielle
I kind of feel like I didn't know about until you brought it up to me, and everything's kind of turning up, Stu Leonard. So I kind of, like, said that.
Brooke
I was on the forefront of the cooking. I think you were, but I didn't Want to take full credit?
Danielle
I'm giving you it. I saw you say it first.
Brooke
I. I saw some other, like, more like niche creators, but then I saw the bit.
Danielle
Your mainstream creator.
Brooke
Yeah. One big boom. Stu Leonard's is this really cool mark. It's just like a mega grocery store, basically. It's enormous. They've truly every product under the sun. When I tell you that they have a station where they're freshly grilling chicken and boxing it up. And, like, you can get that. They also have every type of prepared.
Danielle
Coffee shop in there. Yes. They have buffalo chicken dipped, ready to go.
Brooke
Everything's, like, freshly made. Like, they have the best, like, rice cakes, like, chocolate covered that they make every day the best, like, bakery items. Like, just everything is. So everything's coming up sue letters. And they came out with this, like, cookie milk that then it just got popular because people were like, oh, my God, you can put in your coffee, and it's delicious. But now it's selling out so quick. I'm gonna try to go again this week. It's outside, a little outside of New York City, but I grew up. There was one on Long Island. So I went to it. Not as our main grocery store.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Right.
Brooke
It's quite. If that's your main grocery store, like, it is an experience. Like, there's animatronics.
Danielle
I was gonna say, it's like.
Brooke
It's literally, you have to follow, like, the path of the grocery store.
Danielle
Like, if you have to go back me out, you.
Brooke
You can't really go back.
Danielle
Like, yeah, Brooke took me and Colby. We were, like, kind of putzing around. Brooke was like, guys, no, we have to go this way. We have to follow the path. And I was like, you guys tried.
Brooke
To take a shortcut.
Danielle
I was like, no, no, no.
Brooke
Now you missed the entire dairy section. Like, I know, it's so funny.
Danielle
But then I understood what you meant. It's just, if you haven't been there.
Brooke
Like, it's gonna be dumb. I get it. It's like st. Like, you just have to know. And they really have really good produce, too. Like, I'm really hyping it up, but, like, it's a great grocery store they have. So it's like Long Island Jersey. And then I think, like, a little, like, I don't want to say upstate, but, like, Westchester, whatever. Great grocery store. If you've. If you find yourself passing through, oh, Connecticut too.
Danielle
I think that makes sense.
Brooke
Like, the tri State area.
Danielle
I love it. Well, we have much to discuss. Should we start off with our Glam on the go.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Kind of just hit it off.
Brooke
What are you loving? What are you glamming?
Danielle
I'm glamming.
Brooke
Fabulous.
Danielle
Living glam. Have fake lashes on today.
Brooke
A full or strip lash or.
Danielle
Yeah, half strip.
Brooke
Wow.
Danielle
Yeah. Just trying things out.
Brooke
I have to talk about the strip lash. Really quick to interrupt you, because I've been. All my friends are getting, like, their makeup trials for, like, their weddings and stuff. Or they're talking to me about, like, oh, like, how much are you willing to pay for, like, bridesmaid makeup? You know, we're just, like, having the discussion about it. It's the name on everybody's lips.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
It's like the bridal makeup. And I've had now two friends, like, show me their look separately, and they're like, I just feel like it's so heavy. And I was like, like, she used a strip lash. She used a strip lash. And, like. And I forget that, like, that's a very.
Danielle
Like, they don't know to say experience that.
Brooke
We're very fortunate to, like, get our makeup done. And, like, then we figure out, like, what you like when you don't. Like, I have to give this tip, like, if you're gonna do a strip lash, cut it in half, like, because of the way.
Danielle
Yeah. Just like, a little on the outskirts.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Totally.
Danielle
Or individuals. That's just harder.
Brooke
Yeah. I mean, if they're like, you know, if they could do it, that's the best way to do it. But I feel like these girls, they don't like the way their makeup turning out because they don't really wear, like, heavy makeup. Then they get. Put a strip lash on it.
Danielle
Look like. I know. I see it. You're like, trust me, Just take away the lot. Just don't do lashes at all to begin with. Totally. And then see if you just want to add a few at the end, like, that's our favorite thing to do. I feel like that's what I've always.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah.
Danielle
Sides?
Brooke
No, totally. So I'm. Do whatever is your prerogative. But I feel like that's the thing that, like, throws people through. Yeah. Like, I don't feel like myself with, like, this.
Danielle
How much do makeup artists, like, charge for a bridal trial?
Brooke
That's a really good question, actually. Do they? Sometimes I think that they. Similar to the photographer. They do it like. Like, and the trial. Put it in this price, because you pay a lot. Because then they bring along, like, people to do the bridesmaids usually. Right. It's like a whole team thing.
Danielle
So if you do the trial, it's because you already like their work then.
Brooke
Because you already like their work and unless they completely botch the trial, I think that you usually end up going with them. Unless people are out here doing like two or three different trials, I don't see myself like sourcing different makeup artists.
Danielle
We also, like, know what we like and who we like.
Brooke
And yeah, totally.
Sponsor/Ad Voice

Brooke
It just seems like it's like a lot of time and effort, but to you it's important, obviously.
Danielle
Yeah. I feel like I remember Jazz did a few. Oh, she did makeup trials, but then she just like had her makeup also in New York.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
That works out.
Danielle
So we always have events in total same.
Brooke
Anyways, I cut you off. Sorry.
Danielle
No, no, I love it. That's so fun. Yeah.
I'm loving. Have you heard of this brand experiment?
Brooke
Yes, yes. I've used this serum too, but it's great. Yeah. Is it the serum or is it.
Danielle
The no, the SO experiment. They're sold at Sephora. They have like this super saturated serum that's like so gooey. Amazing. But I just got the reusable face mask. Did I already talk about this?
Brooke
No, I saw you use it, though.
Danielle
Yeah, it's like very.
Brooke
So what do you do with. With you put something on it.
Danielle
So it's like reusable. Eye patches, whatever. It's just a reusable face mask, but it has ear loops so you can really lock it in. So what I do is I lather my skin usually in that saturated serum or whatever you want. And there's actually science behind it. I can't explain it, but that when you put this on, it really does Lock in that moisture. And I did notice. I put. I had that thing on for, like, an hour because there's ear loops. I was able to clean my whole apartment. It was on my face the whole time. Ryan was terrified. He was like, when is the Grinch coming off? Like, I can't because it's, like, bright green. But when I took it off, my skin was still, like, so gooey, like, when you would take a normal sheet mask off. So I loved it. My face felt so moisturized, and I feel like my skin gets drier, obviously, during this time of year, everyone. So I've been really enjoying that. And it just feels like habit stacking, you know?
Brooke
I love that cleaning. Yeah.
Danielle
Like, I just. Sheet masks always fall off my face, but this one doesn't.
Brooke
So when I do a sheet mask, I have to be laying.
Danielle
Yeah. You have to be horizontally or not even horizontally. Like, just, like, head back.
Brooke
Yeah, it was seated or laying. I guess I should say that's. It's not like I put it on and do all my tasks. No type of thing.
Danielle
So this is a. That's a really great stocking stuff.
Brooke
You know what?
Danielle
I have something to say. You know, we're always, like, great stocking stuffer.
Brooke
Like.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Danielle
Not everyone's stuffing stockings, you know.
Brooke
No, Definitely not.
Danielle
Like, no. I find myself saying. I mean, like, I help with, like, the stockings in my household now and stuff.
Brooke
Stuff.
Danielle
But, like, it's not like I'm buying you a stocking stuff.
Brooke
Right. I'm learning that families really do the holidays so differently.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
I'm like, different family etiquette. One of my friends, she said that their family never wrapped the gifts because Sant. Why would Santa wrap the gifts? I was like, that sounds like a big workaround. Like, they hoodwinked you.
Danielle
Like, they did. They. They are lazy. They got you.
Brooke
I was like, so Christmas was over. Like, you walk downstairs and it's done.
Danielle
Like.
Brooke
Like, there's no.
Danielle
I see what they're saying. Like, Santa takes things out of the sack like a toy horse. And, like, I see the wholesomeness of it, but, I mean, it's over. You're so right. Like, we love to elongate our Christmas.
Brooke
Totally. Like, we have. Yep. Yep. If you can. Like, it just makes it a little bit of a longer process because otherwise, it's all there. And I feel like unwrapping gifts is half of the fun, too.
Danielle
Yes. And you want everyone to see the gift you got.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Blah, blah. You don't want people to be opening gifts at the same Time.
Brooke
But I guess that was like the Santa idea. And then they, like stuck with it. I don't really know. That was really interesting to hear. And then I know families go hard on the stockings. Some families do. Like, different people are assigned each stocking.
Danielle
Like, oh, that's a good idea.
Brooke
So who knows?
Danielle
Do you guys do stockings culture?
Brooke
We do. And we like. It was originally like just my mom and dad did, but now if I have a stocking stuffer sized item, I just stick it in there too.
Danielle
Totally.
Brooke
Very. What do you do?
Danielle
Yeah, same thing. It was always like my parents did all of us, but now it's kind of like. Like, I help with like my aunt and my mom stockings. Like, I basically do those also because. Yeah, that just makes sense. But no, we go hard with the stockings.
Brooke
I.
Danielle
That's my favorite part.
Brooke
Really?
Danielle
Yeah, there's always fun little, like, things. Like my brother always gets like, little like, fishing gear.
Brooke
Oh, that's cool.
Danielle
Stalking. So love a stocking stuffer. But it's only like on Christmas day with my fam, which I guess that's for everyone. But I just think stocking stuffers are so promoted.
Brooke
Oh, totally.
Danielle
But like, you're not doing stocking stuffers with your friends. Typically. But like, maybe we should, like, maybe next year for our gift exchange with our friends, we should do like, stockings for each person.
Brooke
That's fun.
Danielle
Like little like.
Brooke
Yeah, it has to be everything that could fit in, like a stocking.
Danielle
Yeah. So I've really done one. Any stocking stoppers in the last year?
Brooke
Yeah, yeah, I. I feel like I'm more inclined, like, right now I have to get like, for my family, like, cousin exchange, secret Santa, like a white elephant type of thing that's like. Yeah, both, you know, under $50, both genders.
Danielle
Like, we're doing the same thing.
Brooke
Yeah.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
So.
Danielle
And it's. I have no idea what to get. But also we're doing. I like, started it because I was like, I thought it would be fun for us to do. Is this like the Christmasy. Is this like.
Brooke
Yeah, this is the big Italian.
Danielle
Yeah, that's big. I mean, no, this is. This is actually just for like my internal fam. But I thought it would be fun to do like Christmas, like in the evening, like kind of like, you know, when everyone's tired at like 5 o'.
Brooke
Clock on Christmas day.
Danielle
I thought this would kind of pick it back up and I wanted it to be like it. We're doing under 50 for both genders. But, like, not a gag gift. Something you would use, but something you would literally never buy yourself. Like a big wine glass that fits a whole bottle of wine. Like you would maybe like funnily use it, but like, you know what I mean?
Brooke
Yeah, yeah, I. I completely get it. I feel like my go to in the past for like that sort of gift has been like a squatty potty.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Love it.
Danielle
That's my. Yeah, that's a good one.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Brooke
Cuz you use it. Oh, I'm honestly, it's like super effective. But like you. You don't want to buy it for yourself necessarily.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Brook.
Danielle
Thank you.
Brooke
Yeah, of course you should.
Danielle
Are you going to do that for this one too?
Brooke
We've done that in years past. That's been. That's been. It's been done. We've done like the. The golf putt putt. Like when. Big toilet theme. I don't know.
Danielle
Big toilet.
Brooke
It's usually like a bottle like what people have done in the past for my exchange. Like a bottle stall or like.
Danielle
Okay.
Brooke
Some sort of like universal trade.
Danielle
Yeah, I love that.
Brooke
I'm trying to think what was like a big stuff. The alcohol bottles are usually our stalls. Nicer bottle of tequila, like one that you wouldn't normally buy because it's like maybe a little bit closer to like 50 versus like 35 or something.
Danielle
Right. Okay.
Brooke
Yeah. Gift cards always go. But it's like, I don't really like, I'm like, we could do better than gift cards.
Danielle
Yeah, no, we can above the gift cards for something like that.
Brooke
I feel the same way because.
Danielle
Because you also spent 50 on that gift exchange.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
So it's like you could have just bought yourself the gift, you know, like it's not as exciting. Like one year when we used to do them on our big Christmas Eve parties, I got a light clapper where you'd clap your lights off. Og. Oh, gee, Dan fam. Like I. Oh, my night routines. I would like clap the lights off my twinkle lights. Cute nostalgia. But. Oh my God, this is such a fun topic.
Brooke
Yeah, that's.
A little kitchen gadget. It's like that sort of stuff that like things that have a purpose. I'm over just like junk. Like. I know I can't just have things that don't have a purpose at this point.
Danielle
Like. No, we have no room.
Brooke
Honestly, if it serves multiple purposes. Even better.
Danielle
Yeah. Multi purpose would really hit. Yeah. It's hard when there's both genders or all genders and then all ages.
Brooke
Well, yours. Yeah. So they're not like 21 plus.
Danielle
Well, sorry, no, no, it's literally me, Freddie, my mom, my dad, her boyfriend and my aunt.
Brooke
Okay, so you know enough mainly no. Yes. When you shop, you could be like, would everyone like this? Or at least four out of the five people like it.
Danielle
Totally. Yeah. No, I know because I was like, I told like the guys. I was like, don't get golf things though. Like, let's make it.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah. Like universal. Yeah, because if you get the golf thing.
Danielle
Yeah, because I don't want the golf thing.
Brooke
Well, you're not gonna get like skims pajamas because like.
Danielle
Right. It's gotta be my aunt.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
She was like, I. I already got it.
Danielle
I know, exactly. It's a little over 50. I hope that's okay. I was like, that's okay. Everyone was. Goes a little over if you go a little under. What the heck?
Brooke
No, yeah, totally. I love like a board game or.
Danielle
Like activity like a themed monopoly, like s. Oh, this is good. I gotta consult you for these ideas. Thank you.
Brooke
The white elephant.
Danielle
So, yeah. So what are, what's your glam on the.
Brooke
Oh my gosh, that whole tangent just to say that I just came from my Daxify appointment. That's why like my makeup was removed on my fore and I probably. I think you can actually.
Danielle
You don't have makeup on your forehead.
Brooke
No, know.
Danielle
So you just have good face tanner on.
Brooke
Yeah, that's what they said at the place. They were like, you're really tan.
Danielle
I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Brooke
Like the nurse, like who was like prepping me. I was like, yeah, I use the isle of paradise drops. I've been keeping up with them. So what, what is Daxify? Would you guys know? I love an injectable but like, I really, like, I really get it like in between my eyebrows for like the frown lines. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it's. Daxify is basically Botox plus peptides, so it makes your skin glow. And I.
I just, I, I'm such a proponent of this. Like whenever I go to get Botox now, I just say, can you do docs? Fine Said usually they stock both. It may be a little bit more expensive, but it usually lasts a little bit longer. And so you just use a little bit less like, I don't know, like you, you compromise with yourself. Because I just feel like for people who are like in their 20s and 30s, not that I'm like promoting this, but like, you know, I just feel like if you're gonna get it, like you might as well get the product.
Danielle
That'S gonna get the glow benef. It totally and your skin's been glowy.
Brooke
So I will say I've been getting a lot of compliments. You have.
Danielle
Every time I'm with you, you get compliments on your skin.
Brooke
Well, thank you. I walked into actually the dry bar in Atlanta and a woman like literally one of the. Not even the woman doing my hair, but like someone, she saw me, she goes, you're glowing. I was like, oh my God.
Danielle
Like I was reading like my skin care and I was like so crazy. Cuz like you used to like not go anywhere without makeup on.
Brooke
No, no, definitely not.
Danielle
Oh, I'm happy for you. Yeah.
Brooke
So that's my journey.
Danielle
It's so interesting. I was gonna say you texted me, you were like, like, I'll talk to you after. I. I'm going to get my Dax or I'm going to my daxify appointment. Which was so trippy to me because you know, normally you would be like, I'm going to my Botox appointment. Like that was.
Brooke
That's the universal like word for it.
Danielle
No, I know people use the word.
Brooke
Botox even if they're not getting like there's other ones, different brands.
Danielle
No, but you said DAX by so.
Brooke
Yeah, I've been getting rectify. Honestly most of like the last time I got energy, I did it depends. Sometimes they don't carry it so you have to make sure. But anyways it's great. That's what my mom gets to if anybody cares. And honestly she. I got locked in. I got the most story replies about her. I posted a picture of her. They were like, she's glowing.
Danielle
I'm like, your mom, she looks good here.
Brooke
Yeah, I was getting those and I have to tell you, it's tax if I got guys now. I don't want to be like a big injectable promoter over here. But like no. Yeah. I also do say, I have to say like that I've had like. Oh, we'll talk about it. My journey with, you know, injectables. I think it's the rite of passage for every lady who goes through it. Or maybe you don't go through it, but if, if you get into it. I think it takes a minute to figure out the amount that you like. Do you like fully frozen? Some people like to have no movement. People like to have movement. I decided I'd like to have movement. I've had a very expressive face. It looks very odd. Yeah, it just doesn't look right. And I think it actually ages you. Ages me more at least to be completely frozen. So I think you know, I look back on some of the times, and maybe I went a little too hard in the paint with the. I did. I mean, I know I did. I was like. Like, I look back at some of the photos. Like, I think it was summer 2022 when we're in the Hamptons. I'm like, I just didn't look good. But that's okay. It takes, like, being so far removed from the situation to realize that.
Danielle
Yeah. Because I don't, like, remember thinking that in the moment.
Brooke
Yeah. No. And I didn't either. Trust me. I was. You think I was looking in the mirror, like, I look bad?
Danielle
Like, no.
Brooke
I feel like I was like, no, this is good. But then you step back, and you're like, huh?
Danielle
It's the same with, like, being a blonde or just hair coloring in general. It's like, blonde blindness. We've got. What's Botox blindness?
Brooke
Literally. No. Or, like, just take, like, blindness. Yeah.
Danielle
Face blindness. Yeah.
Brooke
You had to, like, figure out they did the blush blindness, right?
Danielle
Because blush blindness, that was eyelash blindness when people were getting lash extensions.
Brooke
That's what I'm saying. Like, all this stuff is a journey. And, like, that's a part of, like, when people say, like, finding yourself in your 20s. I. I call me vain, but I feel like it also is, like, physically, like, what? Yeah, you look past with what type of like. Like, you know, do you, like, minimal makeup on yourself? Do you, like, whatever? Like, just finding your look.
Danielle
Yeah. No.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
100.
Brooke
I'm what makes you feel most confident. I think that's what it is, like, your style.
Danielle
Like, the things that you feel good in. No, it. That's what your 20s and early 30s will say too.
Brooke
I'll say that, like, forever.
Danielle
We'll keep going. Your 40s are for five years.
Brooke
In, like, three years, I'll be like, no one told me in 2025 I looked ridiculous.
Danielle
Like.
No, I hope not. My God.
Brooke
No. I hope so.
Danielle
Thank you. So Your favorite is Dax5Love.
Brooke
Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Danielle
Oh, okay. Panic of the week.
My panic of the week. And I kind of shared this with you already, but you guys know how, like, nostalgic I am, how I like tradition, how the thought of, like, not going home for the holidays is, like, so crazy to me. So sorry if my mom's listening. But, like, I had this moment of, like, because I'm so grateful with our job, like, I can go home whenever. It's not like, I have to stay until, like, the 23rd because of work or whatever.
I was like, holy I'm like, going home. Which I've always done in the past, but for some reason, December 17th felt like so early this year. I'm like, oh, my God, next week, like, I have to get all of my New York City Christmas things. See all my friends, like, do all those things before. Because then the new year, like, it's just, it's a wash up.
Brooke
Because when you go, you're coming back, like, right before New Year's.
Danielle
Yeah, like right before New Year's. And like, a lot of people will be gone for New Year's. Honestly, I'm usually in New York for New Year's for whatever reason, but it was just kind of this first moment of like, like, oh, wow. I actually, like, really love. I mean, obviously I love living here, but, like, I don't want to, like, leave Ryan. Like, Ryan's doing something else for Christmas. And I was like, sad.
Brooke
Well, this is your home now. That's. I think that's the moment you realize when you have a new home.
Danielle
Yeah. No, it. Shouting out Ryan. He's going to be like, oh, my God. But he said something so cute. We were getting ready to go home for Thanksgiving. He was like, I really like playing house. Like, I don't really want to go on this trip. I was like, no, me either. And like, obviously love going home. Like, like die for going home. But I'm like, damn. Like, it's so. Our apartment's so cute and Christmassy. Like, I obviously love our apartment. My bedroom at home is literally like a mod podge of, like, things I. When I'm trying to film at home. It's such a great problem to have. But yeah, I'm just kind of panicked about leaving so early. But we're, we are going to Disney, which I'm so excited about, for our annual family Christmas trip to Disney. So that's why I'm going home, like, extra early. I wonder if I wasn't.
Brooke
And Freddy's going too.
Danielle
Freddy's going too go.
Brooke
He got the days off of work.
Danielle
No, guys. Whole family affair. Like my whole family. So it's gonna be interesting. Wait to hear all about it all in one cabin.
Brooke
One cabin. I thought there was two. No, there's one cabin. But there's multiple bedrooms in the cabin.
Danielle
There's multiple bedrooms. There's a Murphy bed. And some people are only coming. We love a Murphy bed. I think that's why I love it because we. I grew up with these Murphy beds at the Disney cabins.

Danielle
But some people are only coming for like one night. So like it's gonna be me, my dad and my brother the whole time. But then we have like people.
Brooke
Wow. That's My mom's influenced by the Murphy bed too. We toured. It's a great looking at potential new places to live in Florida. Like whatever. I'll tell you you eventually guys when like things get, you know, finally sorted. But there was like we were looking at this one place and there was like a half bed. Like not a bedroom but like a bedroom office type of deal. My mom was like, I was thinking like on this wall maybe we could do the Murphy bed. Like the one Danielle. I was like oh yeah, I'll get the weird.
Danielle
Yeah it's really so perfect. Then it looks so good behind, like, a desk or something. So your mom likes to have a good, like, desk set up. Then you can pull the bed down if you need. Oh, I love that.
Brooke
Yeah. It would be like, the fourth bedroom or something.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
If we had to. To an extra. Yes. Yeah.
Danielle
One thing Grandkids don't get me.
Brooke
One thing about my parents. They always have room for me and Sal, which is really nice. I feel like some parents, like, they're like, you. You turn 18 and you're out of here. Like, you don't.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
So true.
Brooke
Yeah. But I just saw a clip of Kris Jenner.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Okay.
Brooke
On Jay Shetty's podcast. Being like, I did not have that point of view. Like, when my kids turn 18, like, I wasn't kicking them out of the house. Like, why would I kick them out of my house? Like, they're. They're my friends. Like, I. And they're my children. I love them so much. I want to support them. Like, it's. I. I didn't have that. That point of view, and that actually really like, changed my perspective of things.
Danielle
That's. So they're my friends.
Brooke
She did. She did say she's like, I try to be a friend to them, like, her kids.
Danielle
She is a friend to them. Honestly. Like, she's like. She's one of them. I mean, she looks just as young.
Brooke
Yeah, she looks amazing. No, she's an icon. Yeah. She's a legend.
Danielle
That's really, really.
Brooke
I know. I think that that's, like, the goal. You want to go And I mean, like, I think we both feel that way with our moms, definitely. Like, I feel like I'm like, stay close.
Danielle
Stay tight. So.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
But panicked, anyways. That's my panic. Let's hear your panic.
Brooke
Okay. Good problem to have. And I'm sure that you guys maybe you have questions on these things.
Brands are getting out of control with the way that they send PR like that now. It's just like, who can send the craziest one? I just got the Poppy advent calendar.
Danielle
Oh, yep.
Brooke
They sent me two. I don't know. They must have been a complete mistake. I don't know what to do with the second one. I have two huge cans. They're. They're hard to use.
Danielle
An Apple calendar. You have to, like, open it up to even give something to people.
Brooke
Like, yeah, no, I'm gonna give. I'm like, like, okay, a piece for Ben's friend. Blah, blah.
Danielle
You can't just give someone, like, yeah.
Brooke
A piece for Sal. A piece for this one. Like, breaking it off.
Danielle
Anyways.
Brooke
And then I feel like. Like, the PR stuff. I kind of stopped for a minute. Did you feel like that? Because then I feel like people are like, oh, my God, it's so ridiculous. And, dude, it didn't stop, but it got a little less crazy.
Danielle
Yeah. Or they'd ask us, you know, what two products do you want?
Brooke
Yeah. Which is completely realistic. I don't think so.
Danielle
Down for that.
Brooke
But then they got into, like, more like experiences. I noticed. Like, they were like, hey, we're going to kind of like, you know, we.
Danielle
Did a helicopter ride with milk makeup.
Brooke
Oh, yeah.
Danielle
Oh, wait, you weren't with me.
Brooke
Wait, I wasn't talking about experiences. Like, no, I did that with you.
Danielle
Oh, you did do that with me.
Brooke
Okay, I did that with you. But I don't mean experience. Sorry. I meant, like, experiences in the pr, like, giving you, like.
Danielle
Oh, sorry, sorry.
Brooke
Not like experience like helicopter. No, no, I was like, more so, like, when they show up with, like, a suitcase, and, like, you know, you get to pick the thing out of the suitcase or whatever it is.
Danielle
Like, more so, like, when someone's at your door.
Brooke
Yes, yes. Yes, A bit. I've had, like, you know, male models show up. I've had. You have the. The full spec.
Danielle
I had a mime.
Brooke
Insert.
Danielle
You never really know.
Brooke
Yeah. That's so crazy. Wow. So I Maybelline so kindly. Like, they. They fully asked for time slots, too. They were like, what time slots work best? I. I want to get the verbiage right, because it was very. It was. It was specific, but non specific. We want to spread some holiday cheer. Name a time. You'll be home for an interactive delivery.
You know, today comes and, like, we're talking about, like, our week last week. Like, that. And he was like, and then tomorrow, you know, I have a big interview all day. And I was like, okay. And he was like, and I'll be in the office all day on a zoom All. Literally all day on a zoom interview in my suit. I'm gonna be sitting there, big interview. I was like, okay, I have, like, a delivery coming. And he's like, can you do it downstairs? And I was like, no, no. Like, it won't be a problem. It won't be a problem. And then I, like, reread the email and, like, kept rereading, reading the email. And I was like. I came to the conclusion. I was like, I feel like it's gonna be like a singing telegram. Like, I just, like, Got this intuition. Yeah. Because it said we're going to like, spread some cheer and like bring you a surprise. Like it just was giving that.
Danielle
Yeah, I didn't even think about that. But that totally makes sense.
Brooke
Yeah. So luckily I did that because I would have felt like such like, like I. I had the, the foresight. But then I was like, like, this is a humiliation ritual. I'm going to do this in my building lobby. Like, that's crazy.
Danielle
So you were like, basically, I'm going to intercept this and just meet downstairs just in case. Cuz you were trying to figure out what it was.
Brooke
But I didn't want to. Like, then I'd be like, so what is it?
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Like.
Brooke
Yeah, so. So then I was like, okay, I'll just do it in my building lobby. But I knew that that was going to be like, crazy. Like, you know, like I live in a big building and like, whatever. I told my doorman, he knows like what I do for work, this one. But I was like, I think I was like, so I'm getting a delivery from a brand. Like, I don't really know what's going to be.
Danielle
Just letting you know. I have no idea what's about to work.
Brooke
He's like, I'll call you. I was like, no, like, I have to wait. Like it's. I think it's going to be like. I was downstairs already, like five minutes before they came. I was like going to explain to him. I was like, something's about to happen. I don't know what, but something, something is coming. And. And he was so confused.
Danielle
Was he like into it?
Brooke
Was like, oh yeah, I think he was into it. But I think he did. Like both of us were. I wasn't explaining it well, you know, I was like, something's coming. Who knows what? He was like. And then in walks four. I was right. I had a good intuition. Four people dressed in like, Mabel. They were in matching outfits, obsessed. And they had like a tin, like it looked like a cookie tin. And they gave me like the full presentation. Then they started singing. It was an original. Maybe it's Maybelline. And they were so talented. And I asked my Christmas carolers, I asked. I was like, are you guys a acapella group? And they, they, they all looked at each other like, no. So they're like all like individuals are just like hired for the day.
Danielle
So they had to like rip off of each other.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Danielle
They looked at each. No, we are not the pentatonic.
Brooke
No. I literally was like, pentatonix Looks different here.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
No, I am so glad I did. My lobby though. People were passing by though, definitely like, oh, is it sponsored by the building? Like, I could see the thoughts in their head. Cuz like, you know, there's people pushing and you're like standing there, like front center, just standing there like this.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Wow.
Brooke
Awesome.
Danielle
Awesome.
Brooke
Yep.
Danielle
That is so funny. I am expecting the same delivery tomorrow.
Brooke
I know. So you were then weighing, like, do you want to do it upstairs or downstairs?
Danielle
I'm now weighing my options. I'm like, really trying to decide. I actually think it will be better to do in the lobby as well because there's the doorman. They know, like, they know at this point. Whereas the people in my hall don't necessarily know.
Brooke
And they're definitely to going, gonna.
Danielle
They're gonna. All their heads poke out.
So. And it's like I have a small hallway. Like, the acoustics are loud. Like, even when I'm talking in my hallway, I'm like, this is loud.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Danielle
So I think I too am going to intercept in the lobby.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Which is gonna be.
Brooke
So I'm just so glad I did in the lobby because if they came to the door and they started doing the singing telegram when Ben's like doing a big interview, I would have felt. And I've done similar things to this before. I don't know if you remember when he worked the night show shift and I had the guy come and assemble the furniture during the day.
Danielle
Oh, yeah, of course. Yeah.
Brooke
Using power tools.
Danielle
He was like, really, bro?
Brooke
Yeah. Can you use the power tools just a little quieter?
Danielle
And they're like, no, I can't. You're like, I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking.
Brooke
Yeah. I was like, quick flash seven. Quick flash.
Danielle
No long last of the drill, please. Sorry, Task rabbit.
Brooke
It's hard to coordinate the two schedules. I was like, but I. That was totally on me. To be fair. We have a shared calendar. This is actually kind of dumb now they think about it. We have a shared calendar, but it's on the iPad mini at home.
Danielle
So you could only.
Brooke
I could only. I'm like, let me. Let me zoom down calendar. Once I get home.
Danielle
I'll let you know. That's like Halle when she came with the podcast, she only does her iPhone when she's at home. But iPad, that would stress me out.
Brooke
That really is a home iPad. I have a iPad mini that, like, it controls, you know, like, it's got the.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
The.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
That's really fun.
Brooke
Yeah, but. And Ben's Schedule. I can only access it, I guess.
Danielle
And his schedule is like, all over the place.
Brooke
Totally, totally.
Danielle
Like, it used to be a little bit more.
Brooke
No, like, nothing tomorrow. Like, and then. But then something else on Wednesday. So it's very, like, unpredictable.
Danielle
So it was fun that he got to come to Georgia, though.
Brooke
So fun. Oh, no, it was. It worked out so well.
Danielle
I was like, really cold. We were both really cold in the stadium. And he gave the tip. He was like, take the hand warmer because we were giving him. Put it on your neck. It'll warm your whole chest.
Brooke
And it did. It, did, it did.
Danielle
I was like, ben keeping you around?
Brooke
No, I know. Yeah, he's. He's like your dad, though. I feel like your dad says he.
Danielle
Reminds me so much my dad, like, in such a good way. Like, I just feel so comforted. It's very like, Dr. Like, I was talking to bed about my period. Like, I just feel so comfortable.
Brooke
I know.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
I talk.
Brooke
Definitely. I think about that. I'm like. We talk about, like, you know, bathroom issues or whatever it is. And like, other couples. I feel like. No, we pretend like we don't go to the bathroom. I can't relate, but I guess maybe it's the medical stuff.
Danielle
No, I remember when you guys, like kind of first started dating. You were like, no. I told Ben, like, I'm having trouble going to baby the bathroom. And I was shook. And I'm like three years in at that point. I could not believe it. Now since moving together, like, that is completely out the door.
Brooke
I completely agree.
Danielle
Yeah, that's completely, completely out the door.
Brooke
We're at the point where, like, I'll be in the bathroom. And he goes like, are you okay? Like. Like.
Do you not. Did you.
Danielle
Did you turn the lights off, bro? Like, is your hand running under the wall?
Brooke
Like, yeah, cuz he knows. Like, I'm shut. Like, am I. Like, I'm going. Two more minutes.
Danielle
That's really cute. That's perfect. Oh, my God.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Danielle
I'm like going with the door open.
Brooke
It's pretty crazy with the door open. Yeah, just going be with the door.
Danielle
No, you go. But Brooke, we're different. Like, I'm in and out. Like, I don't have.
Brooke
Like, oh my God. Mine's like a whole ritual, like, to get the vibes right. Like, we light inset. No, I'm joking. We light it.
Danielle
No, honestly, you got to light a match after. That's like the best. Best.
Brooke
I feel like I have to have the. Like, it's a lot of Mental for me. Like, I have to get it right.
Danielle
That's like a guy. You're like a guy. I've always said this. You're like a guy going poop. Like, yeah, you're in there a minute.
Brooke
But I feel like I'm not like, bringing, like, literature in. Like, guys, like, they, like, I feel like, wait, like, can I say you're.
Danielle
Not needle pointing in there yet.
Brooke
Can you imagine, like, at home, another thing about, like, growing up and stuff. Like, there. There was, like, magazines. Like, not like porn magazines. Like, like car magazines. I have to say, I feel like I was thinking, like, dirty magazines. Like, no, not dirty. Like, like car magazines. And like, an old.
Danielle
Like, it was always like, Boston Proper magazine. Yes.
Brooke
Like something like a good house secret good. Yeah.
Danielle
Not sexy good. Victoria's Secret.
Brooke
No, like, yes. But they were always in the bathroom.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Next to the toilet.
Brooke
Now I think about. I'm like, was everyone just referencing literature? Like, they were like, oh, well, I got these car magazines and I think that they were.
Danielle
No, I know phones. Phones that are like, when before phones were like. Like, now we walk everywhere with our phone.
Brooke
Totally, totally.
Danielle
I wonder. This is like Sony. It's like, I wonder if, like, my parents bring their phone to the bathroom. Sorry, that's so gross.
Brooke
But, like, I actually don't think my parents do, but I think that they might still have the literature in there where they got.
Danielle
They're doing something. But you know what I mean? Like, we bring our phones. Like, yeah, maybe my mom's, like, reading the magazine. Mom, let me know. Yeah, like, that's really interesting.
Brooke
Yeah. Like, I feel like there's, like, a magazine holder, like, in my brother's bathroom. Like, 100. So serious. Yeah.
Danielle
Wait, there's one in my brother's bathroom, too.
Brooke
Specifically his.
Danielle
That, like, he didn't put there.
Brooke
Like, no, like. Like, parents set it up for him. Yeah. Yeah. That's so funny. It's like a universal experience. The literature near the toilet, we need.
Danielle
To talk about quickly. Is it cake? I just had to round this out. You. I think we talked about the podcast. You were like, Ben and I have been watching Is It Cake? And so the other night, Ryan and I, we've been watching these really intense shows. Shows before bed. And we were like, no, more like complete.
Brooke
You just need. Completely mindless. Turn it off.
Danielle
So it was. I think it was on the home page.
Brooke
It usually is the pushing. Is it cake?
Danielle
They're pushing? And so I was like, ryan, let's give it a shot. Keep in mind, me and Ryan Neither of us are big, like, dessert people. I love cake, though. It's probably, like, my favorite dessert. Like, cake brownies. Like, that genre. Anyways. Oh, my God. We're enthralled. Specifically, Ryan is enthralled. So I have to say thank you for that recommendation.
Brooke
It's crazy. Of course I'm glad that you like it. It's such mindless tv. You can be doing something else at the same time. You just look up. Yeah. It's like a game, but it's not that serious. If someone gets eliminated, you're not gonna cry. Like, it's just a great. Like, a good light watch.
Danielle
I have so many thoughts about the show. Like, I can't believe they make the other bakers sit there for, like, eight hours. Eight long last watch. The other people bake.
Brooke
I'm thinking the same thing. I'm like, they have the worst job. Honestly, you would want to be picked to compete. Just to compete. Because you don't want to sit there. No.
Danielle
It's crazy. Also, Brooke, I feel like we could be judges on this show, like, tomorrow. Average fashion blogger was a judge.
Brooke
She was.
Danielle
Yes. On the episode I watch last night.
Brooke
Are you. You're not watching the holiday one. You're just watching the.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Right.
Danielle
I'm watching whatever Ryan's watching. Like, he gets it on. I don't know.
Brooke
We watch, like, the Halloween special. I need to watch the holiday one now, though. Yeah.
Danielle
No, guys, you. You have to give this a go. Like, thank you, Brook, for this recommendation. Like, it. Like, they make. They had hollow bread with cellophane on it, and it looked real, but it was cake. Like, no, they'd made.
Brooke
There was one where they did TVs, and I was like, wow. They're obviously going to be able to tell which one's a cake. Like, there's no way. And they. I don't think that they can tell. It's crazy sometimes what they pick to make. I'm like, you picked the hardest one. Do you ever think that?
Danielle
I'm like, are they doing that on purpose? Like, to show. Like, I never understand that.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
I don't know. It's like, it. It's insane.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
And then, like, we're going to. We're watching it last night, and I, like, pop in and out. Sometimes we're all fall asleep. And I was like, wait, I'm so confused. Like, why are they saying this now?
Sponsor/Ad Voice
And he's like.
Danielle
Ryan was like, no, it's. They have to do a holistic approach at the end. Like, he's so into it.
Brooke
See, I don't even know, like, the judging score.
Danielle
I don't.
Brooke
I don't.
Danielle
I don't know.
Brooke
It's more so just like.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Brooke
Who wants.
Danielle
Yeah. Yeah.
Brooke
I don't even think it actually tastes good. Like, when they, like, do the taste.
Danielle
Test, I'm like, I don't know. But it does make me want cake.
Brooke
Yeah, of course. Any sort of baking show makes me.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Mickey had on a great British Bake.
Danielle
Off when she always has that on our nail girl.
Brooke
And honestly, I got really into it when I was sitting there watching it. I've never watched that show before. But then you see, like, the. They're like, I made croissants and I made scones, and I made, like, this delectable pastry.
Danielle
And they're so pretty. Sometimes they have themes. Kind of. Is a cake energy.
Brooke
That one's more, like, refined. That's more.
Danielle
She's the great British Bake off.
Brooke
If you. Is it. Cake is like. I feel like it's a mockery of itself.
Danielle
Yeah. Is it cake?
Brooke
Right?
Danielle
Like, the whole.
Brooke
He's so unserious.
Danielle
So unserious. Well, you said he's, like, from snl, which I didn't realize. Yeah, but makes sense.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Really funny.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
When it comes to holiday gifting, I take my role very, very seriously. I want to give things to people that they really love, things that are going to stick around, not just going to be, like, a single use. And absolutely not. That's why I opt to go with quints when I want to give people pieces that they're going to wear for years. They have gorgeous Mongolian cashmere sweaters to Italian wool coats, and everything is so premium, and it's at a price that just makes sense. And they really have something for everyone. They have Mongolian cashmere sweaters from $50. They look and feel like designer pieces.
Brooke
I always get so many compliments when.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
I'm wearing my gorgeous Quinn sweaters that have truly been in my closet for years. Years. I have, like, this really cool, like, wrap one, and it's just, like, so thick and so nice. I also got a really nice sweater dress this year. It has, like, buttons going up. I've seen similar pieces going online for.
Brooke
Like, so, so much more.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
The craftsmanship shows in every detail. The stitch, the fit, the drape, it's elevated. Guys, like, we are elevating our wardrobe.
Brooke
There are so many options.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
I love gifting quints. Find gifts so good you'll want to keep them with Quince. Go to quince.comgals for free shipping on your order and 365 day returns. Now available in Canada, too. That'q U-I-N-C-E.comgals to get free shipping and 365 day returns. Quince.comgals.
Brooke
Is a cake. Great show. I had an experience happen the other.
Danielle
Day where I. I knew I could.
Brooke
Tell you something.
So I went to. We both went to separate movie premieres the other night.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
I know.
Brooke
We're so. Yeah.
Danielle
So cute of us.
Brooke
It was very, very fun. I. I, like, just used a dress that I had also. Also, I want to talk about that, like, the dress code, because they, like, usually send it, like, the day of or the day before for, like, a red carpet. Like, they'll be like, oh, the dress code is, bruh. Business casual. Sydney Sweeney's dress. Business casual.
Danielle
No, that was not business casual. That was a custom.
Brooke
Mew. Mew with.
Danielle
With no waste, low plunge. That was not business casual. I also will never understand why we're given the dress code the day before or the day of. Because it. This is, like, something you need to get dressed up for.
Brooke
I. Yeah, I agree.
Danielle
But no, I. Nonetheless, yeah, I agree.
Brooke
That's why Pickle's great. Honestly, I was, like, looking at Pickle, and I was like, I happen to have, like, one. One dress.
Danielle
That was a really pretty dress.
Brooke
Thanks. It was.
Danielle
So you saw House made. I'm literally when it. So it's coming out probably out by now.
Brooke
Soon. No, I think, like, a week or two. And it. It was really good. I think definitely some variations from the book. I really liked it. I thought that they actually made it. Some parts were lighter than I thought that they would be. Like, it's definitely, like, scary. Like, not scary. Like, Thriller vibes. Yeah. But it's also, like, there's moments of, like. Like, I was actually, like, laughing. Like, I think that Amanda. Her, like, she's the character that she plays. Like, I feel like she took it in a direction that I was. I didn't read it that way in the book, but, like, when she does it, I'm like, this is so her.
Danielle
Okay. Yeah.
Brooke
You just have to see it to, like, believe it. Yeah.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Okay.
Brooke
And, Cindy, switch. Sweeney's great. Honestly, like, she plays the same character and everything, but honestly, she plays that character damn well. So that's the thing.
Danielle
Why are we hating on her? It's just like, she does the same character.
Brooke
Yeah. And that's. Okay. You know what?
Danielle
She's typecast.
Brooke
You know what she's gonna do?
Danielle
Like, you know what, you know what she's gonna sound like and.
Brooke
Yeah, everything. Exactly.
So I showed up. I, I got to bring a plus one. So I brought, once again, Ben, because I'm bringing him to everything. Because right now is like a period of time where he can go to stuff. It's not going to be this way for a long time.
Danielle
Gotta lean in.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Brooke
Yes. And he was like, really, like the only guy. Like, we roll up, you, you, you get there early to do the red carpet. Cuz they let like the influencers and the media people do the red carpet usually an hour before the cast comes. They want it to be completely cleared out by the time the cast comes. They're like, there was no evidence that you were even here. Like, they don't even want to associate with you at all.
Danielle
Like completely can't be there at the same time.
Brooke
No, no, no. You can't be seen.
Danielle
They want you in the theater, like waiting for the movie for like an hour.
Brooke
Yeah, exactly.
Danielle
And we do it.
Brooke
No, of course. But then like everybody, like, you're like, if I'm going to this, like, I'm gonna get my picture, like whatever day. Yeah, yeah, so I'm gonna get my picture. And I rolled up with my boyfriend. He was definitely like the only boy. Like, we see a bunch of like, influencers. People I know. I was like, oh my God. Hi guys. Like, whatever.
And then they like kind of said hi. And then. And they were, these are people that like, I've gone on trip. Not like, not on trips with, but like been on influencer trips. Like people I like, know kind of well. And they like really just said hi. And then like kind of like turned the other way. I was like, damn. Like, I brought my boyfriend and now they all hate me. Like, no, I like brought like a man. Like, I was definitely like thinking about it. I was like, okay, like, at least, at least we have each other.
Danielle
Like, you know, or if anything, they probably thought like, oh, she's like date night. Like, don't want to bother. But I don't. Why would.
Brooke
Yeah, well, well, I'll get there. Because like, then I started like, you know, thinking about. I was like, okay, like, damn, I guess I won't. And then afterwards, after you do the carpet, like before you see the movie, they didn't open the theater yet. Usually they like funnel you into the theater so that you don't see the cast because you can't see them for some reason.
Danielle
Like, why am I invited that?
Brooke
But we were like waiting and then once again, Said group of girls, and it was a big group. There was, like, some that I knew more than others. And they were. I noticed that they were all, like, going towards, like, leaving. Going towards the door. And I was like. I, like, shouted out to one of them. I was like, hey, wait, where are you going?
Like, we're going to the audition hotel for a drink. Drink and just turns around and leaves and, like, didn't invite me. And I was like, holy. Like, what did I do?
Danielle
Like, is this before the movie?
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
So they didn't go to the movie.
Brooke
There was, like, a break in between the two. Like, there was definitely an hour, like, where we had that, like, it, Like, I had nothing to do. Like, I was, like, sitting on, like, a makeshift bench. Like, there was like. Like, it was, like, a weird, like, limbo time. But then I was like, damn, they didn't invite me. Like, I just felt so weird. But then. And I was like, it's fine. Like, I have my boyfriend. Like, whatever, but. And then the next day, I went on Instagram and I realized that they all. All of these girls were invited by a brand, and they all had, like, a set schedule.
Danielle
Oh, my gosh. And you're like, oh, thank God.
Brooke
I felt so much better. I was actually, like, kind of spiraling. I was like, oh, everybody hates me. Like, I don't know what I did.
Danielle
No, I would have thought the same thing.
Brooke
But it was so, like, when they were, like, saying that they were going there. Yeah. I was like. I literally said. I was like, why didn't they say come? Like, we would have gone, yeah, we have nothing else to do. Do.
Danielle
And then you realize that it was, like, this whole thing.
Brooke
They did, like, a plan. Yeah. And that's why they were all together, because they went together.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Right.
Danielle
That's why they showed up together. None of them had plus ones then probably.
Brooke
No, they didn't. And they were whatever. So I just thought it was really funny, like, and how you can spin things out in your head and, like, make it seem like it's something and, like, sharing.
Danielle
I was totally about to throw hands. I thought that. Didn't you really this way?
Brooke
And I really thought it was because I brought a man. I was like, oh. They just like, no. You know, they're like, I. Oh, why would you bring your boyfriend to this?
Danielle
But, like, no, 100%, not usually people do bring their boyfriends, actually.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Stuff like that. We. I provide to a lot of red carpets. That's, like, one of the things I do bring.
Brooke
Movies. Guys like movies, like, why not movies?
Danielle
That's a really good movie too. Like a good story for genders.
Brooke
Not even romcom. Like, it was like thriller.
Danielle
Like, good.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Brooke
Good movie. Yeah. So anyway, so that was.
Danielle
Thank God you figured that out the next day.
Brooke
So basically the. The word to everybody is just don't stress as much because you never know.
Danielle
Like what? Because they. They were on a job.
Brooke
They were on a job. I don't even know if they came back. I think maybe some of them came back from the movie, some of them didn't. I don't really know. I was not bothered.
Danielle
No, guys, this is definitely a thing. People do go to movie premieres and don't go to the movie.
Brooke
They do. But then my thing is like. Like I had people in my DMs, like, being like, what'd you think? Yeah. Like, what.
Danielle
What are you going to say when people ask you?
Brooke
I guess they just don't answer because. But for me, I feel it's my civic duty to then give a review. Like, I'm like, I went to this for. For us. Like, no, right?
Danielle
Yeah. It's so true. Like, it's like, we're not movie critics, but anytime I go to movie premiere, I need to give an update. It's like, I have no legs to stand on.
Brooke
But no, absolutely not. But that's the whole reason why they invited you.
Danielle
100.
Brooke
Literally your job. Your job, guys.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Oh, my God.
Brooke
Yeah. Yeah. They want Danielle Carolyn's POV on the movie. Like, that's.
Danielle
This is so true.
Brooke
So. I know. I think about that all the time.
Danielle
I know.
Brooke
So if they don't post their thoughts, maybe they didn't go. Actually, more than likely they didn't go.
Danielle
I'll be so honest, I won't say which one. But there is one movie for. I went to and I didn't go.
Brooke
You didn't. Wow.
Danielle
You know this. I thought.
Brooke
I do. Maybe it is. I will say it's a really long day and a lot of, like, waiting around. Like, you have to be completely ready at like 5 o'.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Clock.
Brooke
So it's like if someone's working, like, they have to get off work early. Like, it's a whole production.
Danielle
It's a whole.
Brooke
A lot of standing around.
Danielle
I'm not proud of it, though. I'm not, like, here to. But I've got, I don't know, under 10 movie premieres. I've gone to nine of them. Yeah, one of them. It was just. I was honestly starving. I needed food.
Brooke
Oh, that's.
Danielle
It was very long Day.
Brooke
Oh, no. Ben wanted to. L. What's that one? The freaking place called Pret. Yeah, we. We did make, like, one. One friend there. He was like, you want some snacks? Like, she's like. Because we needed it.
Danielle
We were like.
Brooke
I was like, the popcorn's not going to do it for me.
Danielle
Red carpets. There's so much more to it, I feel like. So I'm glad we shared that. That's, like, fun to talk.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Danielle
Juicy.
Brooke
A little like, bts, actually.
Danielle
No, it's not juicy. We're not juicy enough.
Brooke
God forbid.
Danielle
God forbid.
Brooke
Yeah. God forbid the gals get a little juicy with it.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Brooke
What else are you. What else is going on? Big holiday week, then you're doing, like.
Danielle
Yeah, I'm so excited. I'm having this party with Grey Goose on Friday.
Brooke
Yay.
Danielle
I'm so excited. It's gonna be hopefully so much fun. I just am so. I just want it to be fun. Holiday vibes and everyone dress up and drink Grey Goose. Like, when. When Greg was asked me if I wanted to, like, have a party, I kind of freaked out, like, a blast. Christmas music and seven long blasts. Seven long blasts of Christmas music. So I'm really looking forward to that. I'm really just going to enjoy this last weekend in New York of, like, fest. Festive things, you know?
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
How about you?
Brooke
That's the same. I have some holiday parties this weekend. I was.
Danielle
You got a couple?
Brooke
No, I have, like, literally no. Like. Like, I feel like I haven't been, like, socializing that much, actually. I've been, like, very much so, like, locked in. We're. Which is completely fine. But then, like, now, this weekend, I have, like, four Christmas. Like, I have yours. We're doing something for Katie. Then I was invited to two other ones. I was like, damn, I'm popular this weekend, actually.
Danielle
Oh, yeah, we have Katie's. We're doing Taylor Swift trivia. I'm gonna suck. Like, I feel like it's gonna be such niche.
Brooke
They're not even gonna let me in the place. Like, are you serious?
Danielle
We're gonna have fun with it, though. We're also Marashi's coming, so she's just gonna beat us all for sure.
Brooke
Oh, yeah. My last thought is, I feel like in my next thing that I'm gonna do. That's like my next, like, crazy thing.
Danielle
For the next hobby.
Brooke
My next trick. No, I mean, it's associated. I think I do want to sign up for a half marathon.
Danielle
Yeah, you should.
Brooke
I know, but I think we were just.
Danielle
No, you're sorry.
Brooke
Really? Yeah. Wow. It's time you guys were all talking. You're like, we've all been talking. We've all.
Danielle
We literally were talking about the other day. Like, I don't know why you wouldn't.
Brooke
No, I'm. I'm gonna. There's one. It's just I'm traveling a lot next year, so like it's in between travels, which is less than ideal. But there's. But you.
Danielle
I mean, you kept up with your running schedule on the cruise.
Brooke
You're right. I'm not worried about streets of Japan.
Danielle
Yeah. You'll be running in Japan. Do you know like which one or. No, we're not there yet.
Brooke
There's one. I like, I could really only make one work. And it's like the Brooklyn half in like April. End of April, I think I'm gonna.
Danielle
Be there with a sign. I gotta check. Let me know as soon as you know.
Brooke
No, and I'm gonna. I have to like, gotta get a brand sponsor.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
So I should like make like. You know, they make like jerseys with like all the sponsors on it.
Danielle
Yes. On like the side, like the race car driver.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yes.
Brooke
No.
Danielle
Oh my God, this would be so exciting for gals in the go.
Brooke
Like, gals on the go can be an official spot.
Danielle
Yeah. I'm making this about us.
Brooke
No, they should be that they're the presenting sponsor.
Danielle
Yes.
Brooke
You know, and I'm like. But then I have like my. My Brooks shoes or like whatever it is.
That's really funny. Yeah. Yeah. So that's my next trick. That's a big enough. Honestly, I have like the memes about like in your 20s, like, do you do for attention? It's like, oh, I got married. Like run a marathon. I used to be like, oh my God, I don't. And. And then you're like. No, I. I get it. Like, I get it. I get it. Yeah.
Danielle
Oh, I'm so excited. Well, I'm really excited for you. We have another fun episode for you guys next week. We'll let you guys enjoy and we'll see you guys next week. Yeah.
