So we were watching the like college football playoffs selection show on the plane back and it's looking like maybe you already know this, but George is going to be playing Tulane and Yeah, either Tulane or Ole Miss. Probably Ole Miss, but like rooting for Tulane too, of course. In the Sugar bowl on New Year's Day, so probably won't be going to that. Unless anyone wants to take the gals, like, would so be excited.

It's the name on everybody's lips.

It's like the bridal makeup. And I've had now two friends, like, show me their look separately, and they're like, I just feel like it's so heavy. And I was like, like, she used a strip lash. She used a strip lash. And, like. And I forget that, like, that's a very.

Like, they don't know to say experience that.

We're very fortunate to, like, get our makeup done. And, like, then we figure out, like, what you like when you don't. Like, I have to give this tip, like, if you're gonna do a strip lash, cut it in half, like, because of the way.

How much do makeup artists, like, charge for a bridal trial?

[Brooke]

That's a really good question, actually. Do they? Sometimes I think that they. Similar to the photographer. They do it like. Like, and the trial. Put it in this price, because you pay a lot. Because then they bring along, like, people to do the bridesmaids usually. Right. It's like a whole team thing.

[Danielle]

So if you do the trial, it's because you already like their work then.

[Brooke]

Because you already like their work and unless they completely botch the trial, I think that you usually end up going with them. Unless people are out here doing like two or three different trials, I don't see myself like sourcing different makeup artists.

So what do you do with. With you put something on it.

So it's like reusable. Eye patches, whatever. It's just a reusable face mask, but it has ear loops so you can really lock it in. So what I do is I lather my skin usually in that saturated serum or whatever you want. And there's actually science behind it. I can't explain it, but that when you put this on, it really does Lock in that moisture. And I did notice. I put. I had that thing on for, like, an hour because there's ear loops. I was able to clean my whole apartment. It was on my face the whole time. Ryan was terrified. He was like, when is the Grinch coming off? Like, I can't because it's, like, bright green. But when I took it off, my skin was still, like, so gooey, like, when you would take a normal sheet mask off. So I loved it. I was like, so Christmas was over. Like, you walk downstairs and it's done.

I see what they're saying. Like, Santa takes things out of the sack like a toy horse. And, like, I see the wholesomeness of it, but, I mean, it's over. You're so right. Like, we love to elongate our Christmas.

Totally. Like, we have. Yep. Yep. If you can. Like, it just makes it a little bit of a longer process because otherwise, it's all there. And I feel like unwrapping gifts is half of the fun, too.

Yes. And you want everyone to see the gift you got.

But I guess that was like the Santa idea. And then they, like stuck with it. I don't really know. That was really interesting to hear. And then I know families go hard on the stockings. Some families do. Like, different people are assigned each stocking.

We do. And we like. It was originally like just my mom and dad did, but now if I have a stocking stuffer sized item, I just stick it in there too.

Yeah, same thing. It was always like my parents did all of us, but now it's kind of like. Like, I help with like my aunt and my mom stockings. Like, I basically do those also because. Yeah, that just makes sense. But no, we go hard with the stockings.

Yeah, that's what they said at the place. They were like, you're really tan.

Like the nurse, like who was like prepping me. I was like, yeah, I use the isle of paradise drops. I've been keeping up with them. So what, what is Daxify? Would you guys know? I love an injectable but like, I really, like, I really get it like in between my eyebrows for like the frown lines. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it's. Daxify is basically Botox plus peptides, so it makes your skin glow. And I.

I just, I, I'm such a proponent of this. Like whenever I go to get Botox now, I just say, can you do docs? Fine Said usually they stock both. It may be a little bit more expensive, but it usually lasts a little bit longer. And so you just use a little bit less like, I don't know, like you, you compromise with yourself. Because I just feel like for people who are like in their 20s and 30s, not that I'm like promoting this, but like, you know, I just feel like if you're gonna get it, like you might as well get the product.

That'S gonna get the glow benef. It totally and your skin's been glowy.

So I will say I've been getting a lot of compliments. You have.

Well, thank you. I walked into actually the dry bar in Atlanta and a woman like literally one of the. Not even the woman doing my hair, but like someone, she saw me, she goes, you're glowing. I was like, oh my God.

Like I was reading like my skin care and I was like so crazy. Cuz like you used to like not go anywhere without makeup on.

No, no, definitely not.

It's so interesting. I was gonna say you texted me, you were like, like, I'll talk to you after. I. I'm going to get my Dax or I'm going to my daxify appointment. Which was so trippy to me because you know, normally you would be like, I'm going to my Botox appointment. Like that was.

That's the universal like word for it.

No, I know people use the word.

Botox even if they're not getting like there's other ones, different brands.

[Danielle]

No, but you said DAX by so.

Yeah, I've been getting rectify. Honestly most of like the last time I got energy, I did it depends. Sometimes they don't carry it so you have to make sure. But anyways it's great. That's what my mom gets to if anybody cares. And honestly she. I got locked in. I got the most story replies about her. I posted a picture of her. They were like, she's glowing.

I'm like, your mom, she looks good here.

[Brooke]

Yeah, I was getting those and I have to tell you, it's tax if I got guys now. I don't want to be like a big injectable promoter over here. But like no. Yeah. I also do say, I have to say like that I've had like. Oh, we'll talk about it. My journey with, you know, injectables. I think it's the rite of passage for every lady who goes through it. Or maybe you don't go through it, but if, if you get into it. I think it takes a minute to figure out the amount that you like. Do you like fully frozen? Some people like to have no movement. People like to have movement. I decided I'd like to have movement. I've had a very expressive face. It looks very odd. Yeah, it just doesn't look right. And I think it actually ages you. Ages me more at least to be completely frozen. So I think you know, I look back on some of the times, and maybe I went a little too hard in the paint with the. I did. I mean, I know I did. I was like. Like, I look back at some of the photos. Like, I think it was summer 2022 when we're in the Hamptons. I'm like, I just didn't look good. But that's okay. It takes, like, being so far removed from the situation to realize that.

[Danielle]

Yeah. Because I don't, like, remember thinking that in the moment.

[Brooke]

Yeah. No. And I didn't either. Trust me. I was. You think I was looking in the mirror, like, I look bad?

[Danielle]

Like, no.

[Brooke]

I feel like I was like, no, this is good. But then you step back, and you're like, huh?

[Danielle]

It's the same with, like, being a blonde or just hair coloring in general. It's like, blonde blindness. We've got. What's Botox blindness?

[Brooke]

Literally. No. Or, like, just take, like, blindness. Yeah.

Face blindness. Yeah.

You had to, like, figure out they did the blush blindness, right?

Because blush blindness, that was eyelash blindness when people were getting lash extensions.

That's what I'm saying. Like, all this stuff is a journey. And, like, that's a part of, like, when people say, like, finding yourself in your 20s. I. I call me vain, but I feel like it also is, like, physically, like, what? Yeah, you look past with what type of like. Like, you know, do you, like, minimal makeup on yourself? Do you, like, whatever? Like, just finding your look.

So sorry if my mom's listening. But, like, I had this moment of, like, because I'm so grateful with our job, like, I can go home whenever. It's not like, I have to stay until, like, the 23rd because of work or whatever.

I was like, holy I'm like, going home. Which I've always done in the past, but for some reason, December 17th felt like so early this year. I'm like, oh, my God, next week, like, I have to get all of my New York City Christmas things. See all my friends, like, do all those things before. Because then the new year, like, it's just, it's a wash up.

Because when you go, you're coming back, like, right before New Year's.

Yeah, like right before New Year's. And like, a lot of people will be gone for New Year's. Honestly, I'm usually in New York for New Year's for whatever reason, but it was just kind of this first moment of like, like, oh, wow. I actually, like, really love. I mean, obviously I love living here, but, like, I don't want to, like, leave Ryan. Like, Ryan's doing something else for Christmas. And I was like, sad.

Well, this is your home now. That's. I think that's the moment you realize when you have a new home.

Yeah. No, it. Shouting out Ryan. He's going to be like, oh, my God. But he said something so cute. We were getting ready to go home for Thanksgiving. He was like, I really like playing house. Like, I don't really want to go on this trip. I was like, no, me either. And like, obviously love going home. Like, like die for going home. But I'm like, damn. Like, it's so. Our apartment's so cute and Christmassy. Like, I obviously love our apartment. My bedroom at home is literally like a mod podge of, like, things I. When I'm trying to film at home. It's such a great problem to have. But yeah, I'm just kind of panicked about leaving so early. And they gave me like the full presentation. Then they started singing. It was an original. Maybe it's Maybelline. And they were so talented. And I asked my Christmas carolers, I asked. I was like, are you guys a acapella group? And they, they, they all looked at each other like, no. So they're like all like individuals are just like hired for the day.

Yes. And he was like, really, like the only guy. Like, we roll up, you, you, you get there early to do the red carpet. Cuz they let like the influencers and the media people do the red carpet usually an hour before the cast comes. They want it to be completely cleared out by the time the cast comes. They're like, there was no evidence that you were even here. Like, they don't even want to associate with you at all.

Like completely can't be there at the same time.

They want you in the theater, like waiting for the movie for like an hour.

And we do it.

No, of course. But then like everybody, like, you're like, if I'm going to this, like, I'm gonna get my picture, like whatever day. Yeah, yeah, so I'm gonna get my picture. And I rolled up with my boyfriend. He was definitely like the only boy. Like, we see a bunch of like, influencers. People I know. I was like, oh my God. Hi guys. Like, whatever.

And then they like kind of said hi. And then. And they were, these are people that like, I've gone on trip. Not like, not on trips with, but like been on influencer trips. Like people I like, know kind of well. And they like really just said hi. And then like kind of like turned the other way. I was like, damn. Like, I brought my boyfriend and now they all hate me. Like, no, I like brought like a man. Like, I was definitely like thinking about it. I was like, okay, like, at least, at least we have each other.

Like, you know, or if anything, they probably thought like, oh, she's like date night. Like, don't want to bother. But I don't. Why would.

[Brooke]

Yeah, well, well, I'll get there. Because like, then I started like, you know, thinking about. I was like, okay, like, damn, I guess I won't. And then afterwards, after you do the carpet, like before you see the movie, they didn't open the theater yet. Usually they like funnel you into the theater so that you don't see the cast because you can't see them for some reason.

Like, why am I invited that?

But we were like waiting and then once again, Said group of girls, and it was a big group. There was, like, some that I knew more than others. And they were. I noticed that they were all, like, going towards, like, leaving. Going towards the door. And I was like. I, like, shouted out to one of them. I was like, hey, wait, where are you going?

Like, we're going to the audition hotel for a drink. Drink and just turns around and leaves and, like, didn't invite me. And I was like, holy. Like, what did I do?

Like, is this before the movie?

[Brooke]

Yeah.

[Danielle]

So they didn't go to the movie.

[Brooke]

There was, like, a break in between the two. Like, there was definitely an hour, like, where we had that, like, it, Like, I had nothing to do. Like, I was, like, sitting on, like, a makeshift bench. Like, there was like. Like, it was, like, a weird, like, limbo time. But then I was like, damn, they didn't invite me. Like, I just felt so weird. But then. And I was like, it's fine. Like, I have my boyfriend. Like, whatever, but. And then the next day, I went on Instagram and I realized that they all. All of these girls were invited by a brand, and they all had, like, a set schedule.

Oh, my gosh. And you're like, oh, thank God.

I felt so much better. I was actually, like, kind of spiraling. I was like, oh, everybody hates me. Like, I don't know what I did.

No, I would have thought the same thing.

But it was so, like, when they were, like, saying that they were going there. Yeah. I was like. I literally said. I was like, why didn't they say come? Like, we would have gone, yeah, we have nothing else to do. Do.

And then you realize that it was, like, this whole thing.

They did, like, a plan. Yeah. And that's why they were all together, because they went together.
