Brooke
The following podcast is a Dear Media production.
Danielle
I'm struggling with this.
Brooke
I feel like I compared myself a lot.
Danielle
You guys aren't actually friends.
Brooke
People said that I was being mean to you.
Danielle
I gotta be real.
Brooke
I don't know what's wrong with me. Actually, that should be studied.
Danielle
I do compare relationships.
Brooke
I would say Lean's more lazy than burnt out.
Danielle
People think that we don't agree politically. Like, I didn't mean to put you on the spot about it. If you do, like, that's on you, honestly. Hello, you guys. What's up? Welcome back to Gals on the Go podcast. I'm Danielle.
Brooke
And I'm Brooke. Happy Wednesday.
Danielle
Happy Wednesday. What better day than to host the annual roast of the gals.
Brooke
The roast of the gals by you, yours truly.
Danielle
Yours truly.
Brooke
Thank you. Thank you so much. We asked you guys to submit your assumptions about us, which basically means shit on us openly.
Danielle
Yes, we actually should do. This is an idea. A literal roast where people can just roast us. Not just assumptions or. I don't know, we might need to have those filtered. Yeah. But yeah, we've done this once before and I feel like assumptions have changed about us and it's just, you know, it's good to check in with you guys.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Not that we care what anyone thinks
Brooke
of us clearing the air. Someone told me recently that someone who, like, I know, does Bravo. They were like, you know, the reunions for clearing. Clearing the air.
Danielle
This kind of is giving. This is the reunion we need, Andy. Yeah.
Brooke
Not family reunion, though.
Danielle
Like, not like, not the Midwest family reunion, more like the Bravo reunion. Yeah.
Brooke
Where's Andy? Bring them out, Andy.
Danielle
Bring them out. Yeah, no, that's what we're doing. So we literally post on Instagram. So if you don't follow us on Instagram, you really should. At Gals in the Go podcast. And we just said, what do you. What are things you assume about us?
Brooke
What do you. What are your assumptions?
Danielle
Yeah, what are your assumptions? We'll let you know if they're true or not. Yeah, we really will.
Brooke
We'll fact check.
Danielle
And we didn't. We didn't filter these. We're just going to look at them and read the. Read them as we see.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
And that's it. Really not much else to say.
Brooke
No follow at Gals in the Go podcast if you want to be a part of the next anything. I feel like anytime we do crowd source thing, we go to there and hey, engage with us there.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Friday dumps are killing it.
Danielle
Friday dumps are so fun. Like, we always show photos based off of things that we talked about. So definitely go follow there. And I'm like, I feel like my heart's beating a little faster. Like, I'm nervous.
Brooke
I'm nervous too. But at the same time, like, we're gonna be an open book.
Danielle
So, you know, that's. And that's why, see, some people wouldn't even do this. But the gals here, we're here to do it.
Brooke
We're. It shows humility.
Danielle
Yeah, it shows humility, us gals. So we're just gonna l read them off what you guys submitted and we'll just debunk.
Brooke
I'm here. We'll read them about each other. We'll just read them in general.
Danielle
We'll just read them in general. Brooke is going to have a super big and elaborate wedding.
Brooke
I feel we have to define super big and elaborate because I said the number of 200, which I'm revising to like a 175.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
People like, that's a big wedding. So I don't know. I mean, I think that it's like,
Danielle
it's going to be elaborate in the
Brooke
But I would say elaborate in the way of like, you know, if it's like, oh, we have these little details that, like, we could opt to do, but like, I'm going to option to do them.
Danielle
Like, option to do. Yeah. I feel like it's going to be amazing.
Brooke
It's going to be a big blow, like I said. Actually, we were talking about it because I was Like, I'm not going to do any Sunday activity, but there's going to be, you know, it's going to be Friday and Saturday and, like, those. Like, we're blowing it out.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Big, big blowout.
Danielle
It's going to. I think it's going to be beautiful and big and elaborate in the best way. Yeah, it's exciting.
Brooke
Yeah. We're all about details.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Fam. You know, Danielle will start her own brand, like makeup or fashion or something. We love to check in on our goals. I mean, this was a good check in.
Danielle
Like, I hate these questions. I know this is a question.
Brooke
No, it's funny because we've changed our minds, like, 10 times over.
Danielle
Yeah, we do change our minds a lot. So that's why we have to do these every now and then.
Brooke
Yeah. No, and I feel like a few years. Like, if I would have asked this a few years ago, you've been like, certainly, like, yeah.
Danielle
Literally. Yeah. But now I'm like, I definitely would never. I never say never, but I don't think I would start my own makeup brand. That's not. You know, I'll leave that to Kelly and Kat or any of our makeup friends. But, yeah. And with clothes, like, I love. Who doesn't love the idea of having their own clothing brand? But I like to buy them from other people that come up with the ideas. Unless all of a sudden I had this idea and that's what, like, I feel like family, friends, probably you, too, when you're at, like, events and holidays, they're like, so when are you starting your own company? It's like, it's not that easy. 1 and 2. I would only start one if it was something like, there was a gap in the market.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Right.
Brooke
That's a good way of looking at it. Yeah.
Danielle
So.
Brooke
Well, I think it's kind of like, you know, when. If you like Pilates, but you become a Pilates instructor, like, you start seeing things differently from the other end. So you might be someone who's like, I like fashion, I like clothes. But then you become, you know, you start your own clothing company, and you can never see things the same. Like, you're thinking for next year.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Here. Like, it's so. Not that it takes joy away, because some people might see that as joy, but I think it's a totally different. Also, liking clothes doesn't equate to necessarily being a designer. Similar to makeup being, you know, someone who likes makeup. Doesn't mean that you're, like, in the lab.
Danielle
No, it's so True. It might mean that you like to curate a collection of it, but it doesn't mean you know how to make it or, you know, it's like, you know, you got to do trend forecasting and stuff like that. There were two businesses I almost started at one point. And we can get to yours too. Not businesses, but I almost came out with my own eye patches back before everyone was eye patching, I have to say. Like, we, we were always eye patching. But I feel like now it's like everywhere but you.
Brooke
Like, it was like, it was like
Danielle
20, 21 and I was really about to come out with eye patches. And then I was just like, But I like some others, Like, I don't. I really am good with the others. And then I almost came out with my own ginger shots because I was so obsessed.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
But then I realized I was going to call it. That feels great. Because that's what I would always say every time I took a ginger shot. But then I realized, like, how difficult it can be, especially with like food related things. Oh, my gosh.
Brooke
And then it has to be in the fridge. Like it's. That's very advanced.
Danielle
No, and I again, it was kind of like, I know, like the ratio I like for my lemon and ginger and stuff like that. But it again, it was just like, I'm good with going to press juicery.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
Yeah.
Danielle
That's how I felt. And maybe that's being lazy. But now it's like years later and I can't see myself.
Brooke
But you also don't drink them to the scale that you use.
Danielle
No, no, it's getting too many cavities.
Brooke
Yeah, no, I had a shot today and I thought of you. I was like, oh, it wasn't even a ginger shot. But like, I, you know, still think of you with that. But like you had a wellness shot
Danielle
or a real shot.
Brooke
Well, in the shot, three o', clock,
Danielle
one look, and then you almost did. Yeah, I, or maybe you still will.
Brooke
No, I could say it. I mean, because like, it's not, it's not even original at this point. Like a million people have done it. Like, it's not. That's the thing. I don't want to be like, everything has been done because I still think there's like innovators in every, you know, you think everything's been done and then something else comes out. That.
Danielle
And I totally agree with that and done before.
Brooke
But when I first quit my job, I was like, I really want to start a robe company. Well, it was. Robe was the Original thought. And then I was like, okay, because I'm always wearing. I come home, I change, I put on my robe. Like I live.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Like, I love a robe. Different variations of robe, like a towel
Danielle
material robe and getting ready robe, the light robe.
Brooke
But I was like, I'll start with the original robe and then we can like expand from there. This was pre skims, pre, you know, us getting into Brooklyn. And yes, it was like, it really was. And I just, not that I regret, but I should have hopped on it then.
Danielle
Yeah. Now a lot of people come out with, yeah, you're so right.
Brooke
But I don't think I was ready then at the same time.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
And of course you're never ready for anything. But I really was naive then. Like I had no clue what I was doing. So, like, now I know. Now I slightly have a little more clue.
Danielle
Yeah, I just, I don't know. I think you just got to really have that passion. You have to have a good team behind you. Like, for example, Bridget and Danielle, like, they did Fifi, right. And they like got a good team around them. They're crushing it. And that's because they also have each other too. Maybe we could start.
Brooke
That's what I've heard it described as a retail partners. Like, that's what I feel like. You need to have the right, those people that have experience in the industry. Because to be honest, like just diving into it, like knowing nothing, like there's a lot of trial and error. Then like, you know, you're people are growing with you. Unless you want to like, you know, be really top notch from the start. And I feel like they launched.
Danielle
Yeah. They had a clear vision of their branding and everything. So if Brooke or I ever launched something, just know it's been thought through. It's been thought through and we really believed in it, which, I mean, most people, that's the case. But yeah. I don't know, it's just like, why start something just to say you did. I love a collab. Like, we've both done. Like, you're, yeah. There's, there's things in the works. Yeah.
Brooke
Light, Light things.
Danielle
Light things. I, I always think that's cool.
Brooke
Light things. Yeah. It's fun to have a project, you know?
Danielle
Yeah. Danielle will rent in New York City for a few more years than buy a home in Florida. I got to be real. I, I, I'm struggling with this because I've always said, and this is not, not true, and I've never said this out loud. I love New York City. So much. And I've always said, and I think this still will happen, I will buy a house in Florida. But it just is feeling farther and farther away from me that I'm gonna move to Florida. Like, all of my friends live here now. Like, everyone's here. And I'm like, I do want. I do love the idea of Florida. Don't get me wrong. Like, I love Tampa. But then I'm like. Like, even Ryan was like, I don't know what I would do for work there. Like, he wants to move there, too one day. Like, we love the idea of, like, having a boat. And, like, I would love to be. I want to be close to my family when I have kids and stuff. But, like, who are we gonna. I mean, a lot of my. My high school friends, we do have, like, not this pact, but it's kind of that we will all move back there. So I know they'll be there, but it is scary. Like, I really love my life here.
Brooke
Yeah. So that just means you built a good life here.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
No, and I'm a good sign and one similar to the goals thing. You don't have to know tomorrow, but I understand. Like, it's. It's a weird limbo to be kind of in between and be like, I don't.
Danielle
Yeah. And I. And I. I know it's not anytime soon for Florida. I've said that. Like, it's like, your assumption is wrong. Sorry. Like, it's not a few years. It's at least five years.
Brooke
Plus, I think that originally when you first moved to New York, you were like, five years here. Like.
Danielle
Yeah, that's probably what was in my head.
Brooke
Because you're, like, a freshman. Is that not. Are you not a super senior? Like, I feel like you were talking about the years.
Danielle
Oh. Oh, do people. Oh, no, that wasn't like, I would move at senior year. It was just like, the first couple years. Yeah. No, that was never. Yeah. See, now we're like, yeah, we're super, super seniors. Yeah, we can't do that anymore. But. Yeah, maybe people thought that, because I would say it's freshman year of New York, sophomore year of New York. But no, that wasn't. But I. Probably in the back of my mind, yeah, five years. Five years feels like a long time.
Brooke
And it does.
Danielle
We are. It's 2026.
Brooke
No, it feels like a long time until it.
Danielle
Like, until it happened. It's like five years from now. Feels like a long time, but who knows? So anyways, I don't. I don't Know, I. But I do love being in the warmth and I think also that this year has shown me with like going back to see my dad a ton that it's possible. I. I was able to go to Florida a lot. It wasn't ideal because it was a lot of traveling, but like I was able to see my family a lot more than I have in the past. So. I don't know, fam. It's just like, like I was with someone yesterday and she's like, I think I'll probably like settle down in Connecticut. When I'm like, oh my God. Like this is. I don't know, like when you're, when you all live in New York, like, I mean, you're not going to leave New York probably. No.
Brooke
If anything it would be Connecticut or.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
I don't see myself in Jersey, but you never know.
Danielle
Yeah.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
Yeah.
Danielle
Long island girl in Jersey.
Brooke
It's like our family's.
Danielle
We. Yeah.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Both of those are going to plan.
Brooke
I mean, unless like a career change takes us or whatever. Like, like you have to be somewhat open minded.
Danielle
True.
Brooke
For things like that that might pop up. But like, why would I go when like all my people, like I feel I am so blessed. Like my family is. This is, this is my suburb. Like my, like this is my city to my suburb. Because I feel like in college a lot of my friends were from outside of Atlanta and like they were like, I'm going back to Atlanta because that's where my family is going back to. Like Kenzie with Texas because her family's there. Like it makes sense. Like, I understand that. But at the same time, like you. If something's really speaking to you outside of that, like it doesn't make you a bad person or wrong for like, you know, not being near your family. But I understand being torn. Like it's hard.
Danielle
Yeah. And it's. Again, it's. It goes back to the. When will you start a brand? Like people love to be, like, how long you're going to be in New York? People probably don't ask you that. Do people ask you that?
Brooke
I think I like kind of shut
Danielle
like, well, you just shut it down.
Brooke
You move out of the city. And I'm like, that's not anytime soon.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
I.
Danielle
And you'll always be in New York, most likely. Unless.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
So it's easier to say, yeah, well,
Brooke
I talked about that townhouse situation. I was like, maybe I would buy
Danielle
a townhouse in Brooklyn.
Brooke
Kids. Yeah. Brownstone, whatever.
Danielle
Brownstone.
Brooke
Not that I see that that's New York, a ten year plan. Like, you know what I mean?
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Like, not. Yeah.
Danielle
People just love. I mean, I get it. Like, I feel like I probably ask people questions too. I just feel like it's like, so when you leave and I'm like, do I have to tell you? No. When's checkout?
Brooke
And. And you mentioned. I feel like for a second like you guys were like, oh, maybe we'll move to like a. Another city for like a year or two in between.
Danielle
I. Yeah. And then we just, like, loved Charleston.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
I would love to live in Charleston for a second. I'd love to live in Miami for like a year. But also, would that ruin it for me? Because, like, I love Miami. Like, visiting, like, I love when we go on trips there. I don't know. It's just. I don't know. But then there's like, guilt there because, like, my family, like, my parents are getting older and obviously everything that's been going on with my dad, I'm like, I'm so grateful that I've been able to go home. And like, it'd be great if I lived near there, but it also seems so far away. I don't know. So there's no one. There's no answer needed right now. But it's got me thinking, like, it would. All of a sudden a lot of people would have to start moving to Tampa to make me want to move back there right now.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
So it's not.
Brooke
You don't have to. I feel like in your timeline, like, you were never like, oh, 27. Like, I moved. Like, I feel like you always were here until at least.
Danielle
I feel like I'll be here till 30. At least. I mean.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
More than 30.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Like, because that's.
Brooke
It's coming up soon.
Danielle
Like, I feel like when I eventually get married one day, I will still be living in New York. Yeah, I feel that way.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Anyways.
Brooke
Yeah. And hey, people's life plans change a lot. If you would have asked me.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
You know, however long ago, like, who knows what I would have said? I feel like I used to be so comfortable with the idea. Like, when I went to college, I was like, maybe I won't end up in New York after all. Now I'm like, how did I ever even think that? Like, you know.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
It just goes to show it's true how your plans change.
Danielle
Y' all have, slash had a hard time not comparing timelines. I feel like that's the least. Like, we don't get jealous about each other's Timelines. Like, that's.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
We have.
Danielle
I have trouble with the public perception or not perception.
Brooke
Projections.
Danielle
Projections maybe of, like, oh, Brooke and Ben have been dating less than you and Ryan. Like, you know, it's. I mean, guys, it is getting more. Every time Brooke and I are together. Like, I actually feel bad. It's like, people will just say to me, danielle, you're next. I'm like, can we just celebrate, bro?
Brooke
That's nice.
Danielle
Like, they love not. And not that they're trying to do it to you. It's just like.
Brooke
I know what you mean, though. And it's very nice like that. But people said that I was being mean to you about that, but I only.
Danielle
What I didn't see.
Brooke
Someone said that it was like I was being rude to you about, like, how. No, but I feel like you're. I know how Danielle thinks about it. So I'm just.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
Yeah.
Danielle
I'm like, trust me.
Brooke
Like, you're like, I got my bodyguard. Right?
Danielle
Yeah. Like, that is so, like. And I guess that's good because, honestly, it would be an issue maybe if I was, like, waiting for Ryan to propose and then my best friend gets engaged before me. But that's just, like, not.
Brooke
And a lot of your best friends this year.
Danielle
Oh, my God.
Brooke
Ellie Cass was last year.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
I feel like we have other friends
Danielle
and they're both getting married next year. And. Yeah. You know, it's. It's a lot.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
But, yeah, no, I don't. I don't think we have trouble comparing timelines.
Brooke
No, I don't. I mean. No.
Danielle
I mean, it's more so, like, dealing with.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
The gals as a whole and, like, people being like, oh, I don't understand. But no, I. I feel like it's
Brooke
not like, me comparing to, like, you specifically. Except for the Miu Miu bag. I did compare myself with that. That was really. But that's real. But I'm so happy for you. Personally. Every time I see that bag, I'm like, that's.
Danielle
Oh, there's the bag.
Brooke
Love that bag. For.
Danielle
Hey, I put in seven years of work for that bag.
Brooke
And you deserve every second of that bag and beyond, by the way. I feel like I compared myself a lot with not just, like, you and Ryan, but, like, other people's relationships. And, like, because Ben was in school for a long time.
Danielle
Right.
Brooke
Like, but now he has a job, so he's employed.
Danielle
Yeah. Making money like that.
Brooke
That was hard. It's hard to date someone who's, like, not in the same life phase. As other people, even though technically he's older. Like, technically.
Danielle
Yeah. So, like, that thing. Yeah, but that's not you.
Brooke
That's.
Danielle
That's just everyone. Yeah, that makes sense.
Brooke
But it's easy. I mean, who doesn't compare timelines? Like, if you're. You're lying. If you say that you've never had those thoughts in your head of, like, you and your best friend. And, like, not that it should run your life, but, like, I mean, I feel like that's just existing on this earth is, like, having that be a thought in your head. Like, my. I mean, some of my other friends from college, like, they're getting. They were getting married, like, years ago, and I was like, it gets you thinking. Like.
Danielle
Yeah, I feel like I don't.
Brooke
Well, you don't compare.
Danielle
You're like, I don't. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I figured out a word. I don't compare timelines as much as I. I do compare relationships.
Brooke
That's.
Danielle
I do. I'll be like, oh, shit. Like, he does that for her, or she does that for them, or they do that together. Me and Ryan don't do that to get. Like, I. And I am in therapy about that. Like, sometimes I think about, like, oh, shouldn't we be doing. I literally had a conversation with my therapist the other day. She was like, you are the biggest overthinker I've ever met my entire life. She's like, you don't even want that. I forget the example, but I said something, and I was like, oh, like, this person said this. And, like, now I feel like I should be doing that in my relationship. She was like, daniel, you wouldn't want that. Yeah, like, you literally. That's not the type of man you want. You would literally get the ick. I was like, you're so.
Brooke
Like, so right. But it.
Danielle
It's so easy to compare and think, oh, well, they're perfect. And we know.
Brooke
We know. We know.
Danielle
We know that that's not the case. Like, these perfect relationships, you see, and our. My relationship isn't perfect, but, like, some people might see that. Oh, my God. Literally the most perfect. But it's not like no one's relationship is perfect. So I definitely compare relationships more than I compare time.
Brooke
I think that that's valid. Yeah, I could. I'm in friendships and things like that, too. Yeah, it's easy to, you know, see you. Maybe some people see us online and they're like, oh, my God, I wish I had a best friend like that. Like. But, yeah, you, you see people's highlight reel. Like, you know, not that we aren't.
Danielle
I was gonna say we have a sick friendship.
Brooke
No, we have a fantastic friendship and we're both like very lucky. I feel like that's like the one relationship that honestly you should compare yourself to.
Danielle
Brooke, are you craving a sweet treat?
Brooke
I'm always craving a sweet treat.
Danielle
I was craving a sweet treat yesterday and I thought of you.
Brooke
Really?
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
You're like, Brooke would, like, Brooke would
Danielle
be so happy with me right now. And thank go true fruit in my freezer.
Brooke
It's such a good thing to keep on hand when you want. Sometimes you want a few bites, sometimes
Danielle
you want a bag and you feel fine about it.
Brooke
No, cuz it's literally fruit. It's literally chocolate covered fruit. They also have now Greek yogurt covered fruit, but there's a little chocolate in there too. So don't you need a little bit of that? Yeah, I'm obsessed. I love having this in my freezer at all times of the year. But especially in the summer when it's a hot day, you come right inside, you have your true proof. You're tenting on the roof, you're coming inside. You have.
Danielle
Yes, I tan on the. It's actually crazy. Like Ryan's not a big dessert person and he's like going to the freezer. I caught him yesterday eating some true fruit. It also, guys, this new Greek yogurt one they came out with comes in strawberry, raspberry and banana. The banana one we talked about before, like, so, so good. I also like love the strawberries. We were just talking about strawberries. Like, they're just so, so tasty. And it's literally just real fruit covered in chocolate.
Brooke
I feel like they're also like really like the fruit itself is really good. Like the strawberries. I'm very particular if I get a weird bite. I'm like, no, no, no.
Danielle
Yeah, especially berries for some reason.
Brooke
Yeah. And they are delicious.
Danielle
Always so good.
Brooke
Just, it's just, it's everything. I feel like most people have tried trufrou at this point. If you haven't, do yourself a favor this summer, just go get yourself a big bag. Yes.
Danielle
It's so nice too because it like, yes, if you want a sweet treat, go for it. But also post workout coming in, you just want a little boost. Like have a couple. It's just something sweet that you feel good about eating. It's very refreshing. So if you guys want to try it out yourself, you can find it in the frozen aisle. Of your grocery store.
Brooke
Now we know that I'm on my glow up journey. Yeah, like really, we really know that. And I feel like it's rewarding when, like your ponytail starts to feel a little fuller. Like your skin is clearing up. Just like things like that. Like you're like, oh, wow, I'm putting in the work and it's paying off. Specifically with hair. I feel like that is like the journey of your 20s, 30s, beyond. Like, I feel like women, everybody's talking about hair, but I feel like hair is the topic.
Danielle
Hair is the topic. I took out my hair extension, so now I'm like, I want to just grow my hair. I want it to feel thick. I want to feel my ponytail and it feel good. And that's why we love new hair. Nutriful.
Brooke
We love Nutrafol because Nutrafol supports hair health from within. So it helps you grow stronger, visibly thicker hair so you can have that wonderful feeling of like, my hair looks good, my hair looks good and I love it.
Danielle
Yeah, no, it's honestly the best. And it's just so easy, like, to just infuse into your routine, you know, Like, I already take supplements anyways and I'm just popping them in and it takes about like, I don't know, like four to six months.
Brooke
I know you have to put in the work, but that's okay. But it's so worth it though.
Danielle
Like, it really is.
Brooke
You just add it to your routine and. And I love those things that, like, you do and then you see the results. Like one day you're just like, hey, actually my hair is a little thicker.
Danielle
Yes. And I highly suggest taking like a before and after photo or like, make sure to get that before photo because you'll feel so happy after.
Brooke
Yeah. So Nutrafol is the number one dermatologist recommended hair growth supplement brand. And it's the number one hair growth supplement brand that is personally used by dermatologists if the doctors are using it. I trust that. And Nutrafol's hair growth supplements are peer reviewed, NSF certified for sport and clinically tested. So we love Neutrophil. So do the doctors. So let your hair be one less thing to worry about. Danielle
I'm sure a lot of you can relate, but there's just something about getting ready for a night out with the gals that's almost more fun than the actual night out. I mean, we all know I love to throw on some Drake, take my time doing my hair and makeup and enjoy that, oh my gosh, that perfect pregame drink.
Brooke
Yes. I feel like the perfect pregame truly sets the tone for the night. And what better way to set the tone than with Malibu Pink. It's truly the best summer Get Ready with Me drink. It's vibrant, it's bold, it's got fun new fruity flavors of guava, pineapple and coconut.
Danielle
No, I already know Malibu Pink will be coming with us on all of our girls trips this summer. It's perfect for the girls like us, me who like to take shots. But if you're not one for shots, it also pairs perfectly with a lemonade for a cute and easy cocktail moment. I feel like I would do the shot you would do like the cocktail.
Brooke
Yeah. I'm definitely going to be sipping it as a mixed drink. But while I get ready, also, it's like this gorgeous vibrant pink color. Can we talk about it? You guys know that's my favorite color. Scream Summer.
Danielle
And with rooftop season here, you guys. I know you know, we all know Brooke really wants me to throw a rooftop party at my apartment. Call back to a few episodes ago. Malibu Pink will be there as my get ready with me hype up drink.
Brooke
This is making me very excited for summer. Summer get ready with Malibu Pink. Find Malibu Pink at a retailer near you. Must be 21 or older to purchase. Please drink responsibly. For additional information visit Malibu.com and follow @Malibu drinks us on IG or at Malibu Rum on tick tock.
Danielle
Must be 21 or older to purchase. Drink responsibly. Malibu Pink White Rum with tropical liqueur 21 alcohol volume 2025 imported by Pernod Ricard USA New York, New York.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Yeah. Because we're able to do really good. Yeah. On that note, I saw so many about you hang out less in non work settings than we would expect. Like you guys aren't actually friends. Gals on the go is what make it like.
Brooke
I feel like we go through phases just based on our lives.
Danielle
Like generally we're talking about hanging out.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah. No, I mean but we always naturally have to hang out every week. So I think that's also why we allot time for other relationships in our life.
Danielle
Yes.
Brooke
You know, like, it's like, I know
Danielle
I'm going to see you a couple hours each week.
Brooke
Yeah. So, like, if you're only in town for a few days, like, then you get dinner with another friend the other day, like, that makes sense. But I also think it depends on, like, phases of our life. I think probably more in the fall and stuff when I'm doing more wedding stuff. I would imagine you will be more involved. And like, when there's, like, whenever there's, like, reasons to be there, like, you are always there. Like.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
You know what I mean? And I feel like we do a good job of still making friend time, but I think it just. It dubs that's a normal.
Danielle
But also is all the same. Like, today we're recording, and then we were like, oh, let's like, go get coffee. Like, it just. It's. It's so hard to even hang out with your friends in general that you're making such a good point. It's like, I know that I'm gonna see you every week. So. Yeah. If I have a free Tuesday nights, like, I need to text Delaney. I haven't seen her in weeks. Or same for you. Like, you're texting Jesse or whatever it is. Like, because we're so lucky that we literally. And we were on calls together and then we FaceTime after those work calls.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
Yeah.
Danielle
So we actually see each other a lot more, which is really nice. So we don't. But yeah, sometimes I'm like, oh, yeah. I guess we, like, don't, like, hang out as much on the weekends, but neither of us are really here or we're not here on the same weekends.
Brooke
I feel like we make it a point to, like, when we're around, like, we're both, like, in the city and everything. Like, we're around. But I also think what that is, like a normal ebb and flow of a friendship is like, you know, you hang out. Like, I feel like there's been periods of time where it's literally like, we hang out, we go home, we FaceTime each other. We're like, into the next hangout. Into the next hangout.
Danielle
There's so much to talk about.
Brooke
There's some weeks where it's like, I, like, feel. Feel like there's weeks. Even the summer, I look at the calendar, I'm like, okay, we're doing together every day. And that's.
Danielle
I love.
Brooke
That's, like, normal. I'm excited. But, you know, like, you're traveling, I'm traveling, whatever. Actually, not really traveling. But you are.
Danielle
You were, though.
Brooke
Yeah, true, true. You were.
Danielle
And it was, like, opposite.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
And now I'm like, you were getting engaged, running marathons. You were going to Japan, and now I'm going to Japan. That's it. Hey, so no, guys, like, we wouldn't be doing this. Like, I would not force myself to sit on a freaking couch with someone that I don't. Like.
Brooke
We. We've said it, like, a million times. I mean, we could say it again. Like, we do not need to do this.
Danielle
Like, yeah, we don't need to do this. We do not need to do this. This is a passion project.
Brooke
Yeah. But it's good. I say it all the time. It's definitely, like, one of the most fun parts of my job.
Danielle
Oh, my God. I literally get so excited. Like, I get to ready, get ready, sit down and talk for two hours, one hour, whatever. It is.
Brooke
How fun. Brooke is type A. Danielle, type B. I feel it may be the opposite.
Danielle
But you're not type B.
Brooke
No, I'm like 8.5.
Danielle
You're really type A with business.
Brooke
Yeah. With, like, tying up loose ends and, like, that sort of stuff.
Danielle
I feel. Yeah, you really know how to cross your T's, dot your eyes, whatever that thing is. But, yeah, no, I'm not. I'm not type. Baby. I don't think.
Brooke
No, but I feel like you take more of, like, the planning leadership role a lot of the times, which would lead me to believe.
Danielle
Yeah. Well, if it's like, group trips and stuff for, like, I don't know.
Brooke
I feel like you stay on top of things.
Danielle
Yeah. It also depends on, like, the setting of the setting. Like, if you're with your friends, I feel like you are more type. Well, just. Yeah, yeah, no, but I. I would say that's false.
Brooke
I. I don't think that it's, like, I wouldn't define myself as, like, I. I don't take a hard stance.
Danielle
Yeah. I feel like you're just like. Like, you know how to go with the flow. Like, I won't. Like, like, what time does the flow start? Like, I'm not able to.
Brooke
Yeah, you're a little more like that. You are.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Like, if I'm like, hey, just come over. We'll do, like, whatever you're like, but what are we.
Danielle
But what? Like, what are we wearing? Like, what are you. Like, stuff like that. But then you'll. You're usually the one who texts me before the podcast like, this is what I'm wearing. I'm like, oh, yeah.
Brooke
Well, that's like more work stuff. I'm trying to think more chill. Like, if it's like, okay, Saturday, let's like, I. I'm down for more. Like, let's see where the day takes us.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
Yeah.
Danielle
And I'm like, well, are we doing it or not? Because I'm just gonna like do my day. Yeah. I don't know, but I don't know.
Brooke
Type A. Type B, I feel like is a hard define, like who actually really is like one or the other. Yeah. You're rich. Someone said.
Danielle
No, literally, people are like rich. Like you guys grew up rich. And I feel like I could say for both of us that both of our. Our parents like built theirselves up, right? Like, I. Neither of us came from old money. No, like, let me clear, like. No, no.
Brooke
The generation before my parents, I think you too, because I feel like your dad is the same. Like, you know, my both sets of grandparents were like from Brooklyn. Like lived in like essentially tenement buildings. Like, you know.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
And then they moved to the suburbs into like a small house. And I feel like my parents were the ones who like made.
Danielle
Yeah, no. My mom grew up in government subsidized housing, like trap moving around a lot. My dad literally grew up with no money in Brooklyn, like, genuinely. So I'm really proud of both of our parents, like, for sets of parents. How do you say? For like making. You know. And we lived comfortable lives growing up, for sure. But no, we're not like from these old money families.
Brooke
I saw the progression of my family like over my life. Which is actually kind of cool that I got to see it. Like, we moved a lot. Like my. I mean, my parents like putting work into the houses. But like, literally, I mean, you could see it like in the houses. Like the first house was like legit. Like a two bedroom house that I was like born in.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
And then it was like the house that we currently live in is amazing. Like, I'm so.
Danielle
Yeah, it's so beautiful.
Brooke
And I feel like they. We would start to like take nicer vacations and stuff. Like someone's bonus hit. Like.
Danielle
Yeah, that is cool to like see the progression. So.
Brooke
Yeah, it was really nice to see and I feel like makes you appreciate it more. Kind of.
Danielle
Definitely.
Brooke
But I think that we both. Not that we're like from humble roots. I think that we both grew up like comfortable. Comfortable. But it. I think that we work for our own money to a certain extent.
Danielle
Totally. And like neither. I saw another assumption about like pay. Like we pay for everything. Ourselves. Like, our parents aren't paying. Like, my dad's not paying half my rent because I live in an expensive building. Like, no, like, it's very much. Yeah, me and Ryan pay for our. Like, there's no parents involved.
Brooke
I feel like both of us, like, since we graduated, like, it was like,
Danielle
yeah, I was paying my rent in college.
Brooke
Yeah, you were paying your rent in college.
Danielle
That's also because I.
Brooke
You had.
Danielle
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. If you guys don't know this, it's actually the craziest. Lord, and you might think I'm so extra for this. It was actually Brooke's idea, though, and it was the best idea ever.
Brooke
When you were like, I'm thinking about coming to Georgia, but these are my apprehends. Like, I remember. Like, you're like, I'm worried about the dorm situation because I like, you know, you were posting two YouTube videos a
Danielle
week then I was into YouTube videos a week. I had a long distance boyfriend and I was worried about, like, PR packages and like, I don't know. I just was worried about having my own space to film.
Brooke
I honestly was filming. If you're posting two videos a week,
Danielle
like, well, because back then, the videos we filmed were like, tripod. I remember you were like, oh, I had to have Hannah, like, leave the room to, like. Yeah, I remember you telling me. I was like, oh, my God. I don't want to have to, like, work my YouTube schedule around having a roommate and stuff like that. So Brooke was like, what if you just got an apartment also? And it's. It's the craziest thing. You should.
Brooke
It's.
Danielle
It's my. I think it's my most viewed video is my college move in video because I was literally moving into a dorm in an apartment. It was very extra. I wouldn't, like, recommend this to anyone, but, like, it worked for me.
Brooke
It did work for you. Because once again, Dana was a little businesswoman back then. Like, you're, like, fully, like, running. Like, you were, like, pro, like, making money like this.
Danielle
And that's where we recorded the podcast. Yeah, Gals. And the Ghost started. It was. I'm like, so happy I did it. I had an apartment right in downtown Athens, and it was just a really nice escape for me. It was a good transition. I was. So I was paying that, and then I just decided to stay in that building once.
Brooke
And the rent in a college town is.
Danielle
Yeah, it's dirt. Like, it was so nice.
Brooke
My college house my senior year was like, 600.
Danielle
Yeah. Yours is like, yeah, I know you had a huge room, your own bathroom. Like, it was, like, pretty nice.
Brooke
Like, it was.
Danielle
It was nice. It wasn't yard. A kitchen, like, and, like, I don't
Brooke
remember being, like, in the shower. Like, this is gross. Like, I was like, that's pretty nice.
Danielle
No, it was nice. Good lighting. Like. Yeah, yeah. No, that was nice. That was just random lore for you guys.
Brooke
Yeah. Just for the vibes. Oh, my gosh.
Danielle
I assume. I assume Brooke is the type of friend to speak up when someone else's order is wrong. I don't know that you would do that in that setting. Honestly, you don't do it for yourself.
Brooke
Yeah. Believe it or not, like, I can be like, I'll just suck it up, like, a lot some of the times.
Danielle
Yeah, you do.
Brooke
Unless I'm already set off.
Danielle
Yeah, unless you're having a day. But you are onto something, that Brooke is the type of person, if you mess with someone, then you're not. You're not in Brooke's book. And, like, she will unfollow. She will. Like, she will do those things. She is loyal in that way. But you don't do it for yourself with, like, ordering. So I would say, like, no.
Brooke
No. But if it's like, we're sitting at a table and it's like, oh, someone needs to, like, speak up, like, really don't want to be that person a lot of the time. Like, I genuinely like.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Even though I feel like I have allowed.
Danielle
But. But in that setting. But honestly, in a lot of other settings, you will be the person to speak up, I guess, because you just know. You have a way with words. Like, I can count on you to, like, get the right situation for us. I feel like. I don't know. It just depends, though, because it depends on the setting.
Brooke
Because we. When we're with a lot of our friends who, like, our work friends, I feel like we all have been in positions where we've had to advocate for ourselves, like, since we've been pretty young.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Like, kind of comfortable doing it.
Danielle
Yeah, that's true. So it's like, we take turns.
Brooke
Yeah. But I guess when I'm with, like, other friends, like, I'll be like, I'll handle it, you know?
Danielle
Yeah, no, definitely. I. There's a lot of times I'm like, oh, Brooks got this.
Brooke
Like. Yeah. I feel like it's vice versa. Like, I've.
Danielle
It depends on what it is. It really does. Like, for a while, you had trouble telling, like, makeup artists if you not cat. Like, when we were on tour.
Brooke
That's hard to speak up for because it's hard to insult someone. I take it as insulting someone else's vision, even though it's not really. It's kind of like being like, you know, you made my eyes too smoky or something.
Danielle
Like. Like, what if that's what they wanted?
Brooke
Yeah. And they're like, oh, you look good, but you're like, I don't.
Danielle
Yeah, I look good.
Brooke
You know? Yeah, that's. Yeah.
Danielle
Danielle is super controlling. And, Brooke, you just go with the flow. So your friendship works.
Brooke
I would. I almost argue that it could be
Danielle
the other way sometimes, but I don't think either of us are super controlling. But, yeah, there's. There's. I feel like we each have our own passions.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
And there's certain things that you'll die on a hill for. I will. And it's like, okay, like, I'm. I know this is what she wants. We're just gonna roll with it. Yeah, but that's so interesting.
Brooke
Yeah, that is really interesting.
Danielle
Maybe they mean in the sense of planning, in that case.
Brooke
Yeah. Because I trust you. Like, I trust you to make the plans that are something.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
You.
Danielle
Except for, like, restaurants. Like, literally the other day, I was like, brooke, like, please. Like, I don't. I know you're gonna be upset if I pick. Not upset, but, like, I choose restaurant based off vibes, not actual food. So I was like, where do you want to go eat? Yeah. Yeah. You're like, I'll. I'll find that one.
Brooke
But I feel like, in terms of hotels or activities or anything like that, like, I trust. Like, I don't even have to, like, look twice into something or whatever. I'm just kind of like, okay, you. Yeah, Danielle. Likes, I probably would like to.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Brooke is a night owl, and Danielle's an early bird.
Brooke
That's interesting.
Danielle
I don't think so. There was a second there where you were staying up late.
Brooke
Yeah. But then there was a second I was waking up early, and then there
Danielle
was saying, you're waking up early and going to bed early, and I was staying up late. But, like, I just always go to bed around 11:30.
Brooke
I'm on that right now, so. Especially with Love Island.
Danielle
Oh, my God. Like. Yeah. I don't know, though. It's really difficult because I feel like we're both texting around the same time in the morning. I think we're on the same routine right now.
Brooke
Yeah, we are.
Danielle
But there were. There were times. But there have been times where we were on opposite Sketch like, it's a.
Brooke
For me, I go a lot. Like, I hate to be like, oh, I go based off of Ben. But like, it helps when you. If you're waking up at similar time. Like, it's definitely like.
Danielle
Yeah. I think we've probably both become more morning people because our. The person we're sleeping in bed with gets up early at least.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Ryan gets up at like 6:30 every day and I don't get up at 6:30, but then I'm up.
Brooke
You got your rustling, like.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
You can't fall back asleep.
Danielle
No, I can't fall back asleep. Just. That never happens.
Brooke
So then you're shopping with Danielle is top tier. It is. If you're willing to spend.
Danielle
If you're really. I am literally going to justify anything. Never forget Atlanta is great.
Brooke
I wouldn't say that you're like an enabler though. Like, but like, if you're teetering toward,
Danielle
like, if you need a justification. Well, either of us will do that.
Brooke
Like, yeah, yeah.
Danielle
We can't go shopping together all the time.
Brooke
But you also, like, will hype up, like, if it's like, trying on clothes or something. Yeah, I think it's a positive experience.
Danielle
Yeah. Yeah.
Brooke
Honestly, like, I'm scared to go wedding dress shopping with anyone besides you or my mom because I feel like you two will be honest with me, will hype me up, but also, like, provide, you know?
Danielle
It's scary. Yeah. The wedding dress thing, like, do you know you. You don't say it, but, like, do you know, like a vibe you want? Yeah, no, we're not there yet. Have you started going on Pinterest?
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Yeah. That's exciting.
Brooke
But then again, I'm like, you can save stuff all day long, but you're like, how's it gonna look at me?
Danielle
I know. I think. I think that you're gonna. Everything's gonna look good. I mean, I think you're gonna put everything on and be like. It's more of like, what you like best. I. I do think that. I think everything's gonna look so good and you're gonna be like, it's just what you like best. I believe that.
Brooke
That's so nice of you. I assume you're nice.
Danielle
I assume you're nice.
Brooke
Oh, my gosh.
Danielle
Honestly, people didn't get as intense as I thought.
Brooke
No, definitely not. Brooks very jealous of Danielle's relationships with brands and invites on brand.
Danielle
I didn't see that.
Brooke
Yeah. And Brooks burnt out from YouTube, so
Danielle
we know that the dating world is super challenging right now. Based on what we've heard from our
Brooke
single friends, I. I know that it's like meeting someone in the wild or an app. Like the idea of dating can seem a little hard, but. But it definitely does not have to be.
Danielle
No. And we know if you are like us, you are truly a gal on the go. And your time is honestly precious and you don't want to waste it on a wrong match.
Brooke
That's why you need to check out Hyli. It's spelled H I L Y. The Hyli dating app. It's actually a way to date without all of the weird guessing games. It's no pressure to be perfect. It's just an actual connection from the start.
Danielle
And fun fact, the name Hyli is actually short for hey, I like you. So it's all about like getting straight to the point, you know? The Hyli dating app uses smart matching, so it learns what you're into based on your vibe, your interest, and even who you like or skip. So your matches actually make sense.
Brooke
And you get a freshly curated set of profiles every day. So your chances of meeting someone you actually like and connect with is higher.
Danielle
They also have a cool icks and clicks feature, which is honestly genius. It makes it so easy to vibe check someone before you match, which saves so much time in going out with the wrong person.
Brooke
Safety wise, there are built in consent guards and they automatically guard against unwanted or inappropriate messages without consent. So if you're looking for that right one, you're over the games and you want to match with someone who actually makes sense for you. Take this as your sign.
Danielle
Download Highly Dating App from the App Store or Google Play or go to highly.comdate as you are with the Highly Dating app. This episode is brought to you by Hint Water. I need to tell you guys about something that has clearly taken over both Brooke and I's life. It started innocently, you know, you just take that one sip and then suddenly you're thinking about it constantly. You're craving it, you're long for it. And that is because we're drinking water and you might be thinking water. Specifically hint water.
Brooke
I recently tried the peach raspberry flavor and honestly I felt like it activated something in me. The second that I touched my lips, I. I was like, okay, this is it. It's subtle, it's refreshing, it feels like hydration that you're supposed to feel like cuz it's like crisp water with a little whisper of fruit. It really makes your brain go, okay, I want more of that.
Danielle
And the dangerous part, it has no sugar, no sweeteners and no calories. It's quite literally just water infused with fruit essence. That's it. Somehow it tastes like a treat while technically being responsible. I love it because I just grab it. You know, I head to my workout and it's like it's genuinely hydrating me. But it has like that little hint.
Brooke
I feel like it's the summer. Like we need to be drinking water. So like, why not make it a little fun? Int has no sugar, no sweeteners, no calories. It's literally just water with fruit essences. And you could try. Hint. Now available online@drinkhin.com and in stores nationwide. Water.
Danielle
It's getting hot outside and I need pieces that are breathable, comfortable, versatile, and just those perfect summer pieces. That's why I love quints, you guys. I can't talk about quints enough. Neither can Brooke. They make elevated essentials using premium materials like European linen, organic cotton, and washable silk without the traditional retail market. That's why we love them so, so much. Their linen stuff is absolutely amazing. Every single summer I'm going on quints, I'm looking at what linen they have. Again, it's that 100 European linen. They have pants, dresses and tops. They're these pieces that you're just gonna reach for all summer long. And they started 32. Yep, that's right. They also have amazing super soft and comfortable denim. And their organic cotton sweaters are perfect when for like layering, you know, throwing over the shoulder. We love that look. Everything at coins is priced 50 to 80 less than similar brands. They work directly with ethical factories and cut out the middlemen. So you're paying for exceptional quality, not that brand markup. I literally love Quinn so much. I just got another pair of linen pants because they're a great beach cover up, but also you can wear them with a sweater. One of their sweaters, honestly. But they also. It's not just apparel. Quince also offers elevated essentials for your home. I have a pair of sheets from them. They have kitchen essentials and furniture make your summer wardrobe feel easier. Go to quint.comgals for free shipping on your order and 365 day returns. Now available in Canada too. They come in tons of sizes for the perfect fit and they're non damaging with super easy removal. Brooke
I'm not gonna sit here and be like, oh, I'm. I'm jealous of your. The invites of brand trips. But obviously when she comes back and she's like, oh, I had an amazing trip. Like, like, like, damn, that sounds fun. Like, yeah, that sounds like a fun time.
Danielle
I, I feel like it's normal to be jealous. Like, I. If you were invited on a brand trip that I wasn't, I'd be jealous, like naturally, but also, but not in a negative way. It's like, oh my God, tell me everything. Like, I'm so excited for you. I wish I was going with you 100. And also there was one of the branch trips like you were invited on to, like the dsw.
Brooke
Yeah, and the last one I was.
Danielle
And the last one you. Yeah, I didn't go. Yeah, like, yeah.
Brooke
So there's, you know, other factors and stuff too. I wouldn't. I'm not gonna sit here and be like, I'm seething. There's somewhere. I'm like, okay, like, that looked perfect and like, very like me good. Like I'm actually. And then some where I'm like, damn, it would have been fun to go. But like, next thought, you know?
Danielle
Yeah, but next thought, like brain, like, one second, wait. Actually, we need to talk about your YouTube channel because I'm starting to get comments like, when's Brooke posting? But I feel like you've been posting.
Brooke
Like, I.
Danielle
What's going on with YouTube's, with Brooke's YouTube schedule? Let's talk about it.
Brooke
Let's talk about it. I don't, like. I think. And it's nothing to do with, like, sharing, oversharing. Like, I.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
Over.
Brooke
When I post, I overshare. Like, I have no problem with, like, getting deep or whatever. I really think it's just. I have been off a routine for so long with the weekly vlogs that then you fall off, and then it's just. It's out of habit. It's out of my.
Danielle
It doesn't feel second nature to, like, oh, it's a new week. Start a new week in my life.
Brooke
Yes. And then I have, like, a collection of clips that in my head seems random, but actually, when you edit it together, it's not that random.
Danielle
It always ends up that way. You're like, this is not gonna be a good vlog. And then it looks so good, and
Brooke
it's like, I have to remind myself, like, if it's over the course of two weeks, like, that's okay. Like, if.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Not that I want to get on that habit, but, like, right now I have, like, two and a half weeks of clips, and I'm like, should I just scrap it? Like. Cause it's kind of, like, a mess.
Danielle
Don't scrap it.
Brooke
I know I've like, scrapped some, like, which I've never, like, in growing up, never used to do, but I just was like, what an odd collection of clips this is. But I feel like you guys would probably rather see something than nothing, so. I know. I feel like it just started with me putting pressure on myself because I was like, wow, these vlogs aren't as good as I want them to be. And then I just was. I can't even sit here and be like, oh, I'm so. I mean, now I'm getting busier because, like, I have, like, the wedding stuff, and, like, there's, like. I actually do have more on my plate. I would say, yeah, you do. But I think I just fell out of habit with it, and it's really messing me up. So if you're like a weekly vlogger, like, keep going, keep going.
Danielle
Don't stop once.
Brooke
It's part of your rhythm and your flow, like, you're in it. And I was in it for, like, so many years of my life, I feel like. And then you just fall out of it. And then, like, days go by. Where you don't film anything and you're not like, oh, shoot, I missed a day. Like, it just is, like, it's not part of your.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
You know.
Danielle
No, I do. I think. Cause I was struggling with that, with, like, going home all the time. I was like, there's nothing to vlog. And then that's when I had the realization that, like, they just want to see something. Because even this past week or a couple weeks ago, I was in Florida, and I was like, oh, I'll just end my. My vlog before I go to Florida. And I was like, I'll bring it. And I didn't vlog a ton, but I feel like it was enough to, like, put in the vlog. And it's sweet. It's like, oh, you see Finley, you see my mom. I don't know. And it's just, like, good to just keep going, I guess.
Brooke
But no, it is. And I would give that advice. Like, it's so funny because, like, I would give that advice to anyone else. Like, I would just post the content.
Danielle
And it's not like you're not getting the engagement. It's nothing to do with that.
Brooke
No, no.
Danielle
I didn't mean to put you on the spot about it, but I was
Brooke
like, you know what?
Danielle
Actually, I've been getting comments about this. What's going on?
Brooke
I can't sit here and say an exc. Because my audience is lovely. Like, they're really nice. Like, it's not like I. Like, it's not like, oh, it's bad or anything. I feel like you guys are great. Like, the fact that people, like, are great. I had given Great. Actually, the fact that there's a demand for the vlog that's, like, kind of reinspires me. I'm like, wow, that's.
Danielle
I think you need to get my camera, Katie.
Brooke
Got it. Thank. Yeah. And the audio is confirmed. Good. I've listened to some of the.
Danielle
Oh, good. Okay. So I'm like. I don't. I think it's good.
Brooke
Yeah, it's that it's, like, fun. It's just the convenience of things.
Danielle
Also the iPhone. I hate vlogging on my phone. And then the camera. That's annoying.
Brooke
I feel like I just. I mean, I could have, like, vlogged it throughout, but I just had a very random spring.
Danielle
Very random weddings. Also, like, Ben hasn't.
Brooke
He's been.
Danielle
He's been home. So you've just been having fun and just been, like, thing.
Brooke
Living life.
Danielle
Yeah. And I feel like it'll pick up again.
Brooke
I wouldn't even say that it was busy. It was just random.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
In my head, I'm like, it's disorganized.
Danielle
It's not like a Monday through Friday, like, classic New York City week in my life.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
Yes.
Danielle
I get that. That I've had those thoughts too. And sometimes it's okay to, like, skip. I'm skipping. Sorry, guys. I'm skipping a week. Like, it's happening, you know, like, sometimes it's okay.
Brooke
No, and that's.
Danielle
And your Japan. Your Japan vlog was amazing.
Brooke
Yeah. No, and then I feel like. Like, I'm always, like, pretty happy with the way the content ends up. So that's why I'm kind of like, I don't know. I.
Danielle
And I don't think you're burnt out. I think you were just like, it's random, so I'm gonna not.
Brooke
But it wasn't always easy. It's destroyed. It's a little lazy. It's a little. I. I would say lean's more lazy than burnt out.
Danielle
Yeah. It was definitely not burnt out.
Brooke
No, I don't. I feel. Because I feel like my comments are really positive and like, it. It's honestly, one of my favorite corners of the Internet is, like, my YouTube comments. So I don't. I don't know what's wrong with me, actually. That should be studied.
Danielle
There's nothing wrong with you, but I'm
Brooke
gonna get more frequent with them. I. I say that, but, like, I really do promise because, like, I really don't have a lot going on in the next few months, and I want to share a lot of wedding planning and I want to share a lot of, like, the next job, like, genuinely. So.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
Yeah.
Danielle
And I. Some of my favorite vlogs to watch when people are just, like, in their apartments, like, oh, same, like Clara. Like, I love just her at home vlog.
Brooke
Cleaning, new beauty routines.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Like, life, things that you learned. Yeah, I love it. I love a chatty moment. Like, give me a 20 minute, like, mini podcast almost.
Danielle
Yeah. Especially when I literally watched your most recent.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Vlog, like a podcast or I was listening to it and that's how I
Brooke
watch a lot of vlogs.
Danielle
Yeah. Yeah, it is. How. Sorry, I'm not, like, on my phone, by the way. I'm looking for the next one.
Brooke
No, no, we have.
Danielle
So you guys know I'm not, like, not listening. You guys are authentic. Oh, thanks.
Brooke
You've done brand partnerships with companies you aren't very familiar with. That's a really interesting one.
Danielle
Depends on, like, the avenue. And I feel like, yeah, maybe there's a brand that comes to you that you didn't know before, but then you're like, oh, this is really cool.
Brooke
Or something new. I mean, I've worked with, like, new brands, right?
Danielle
Like, yeah, like something that's just coming out.
Brooke
Yeah. Like, new to the market.
Danielle
Like, yeah, you would do.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think.
Danielle
But no, I would never do something that I literally don't do. Not like. Like, I. I got a really cool brand deal one time for a condiment that I don't eat, and I said,
Brooke
no, Daniel, that was really impressive principle. No, that was really impressive.
Danielle
Yeah, because people know, like, I don't eat that, so why would I. Like, you know that's not true. So, you know, but if I start doing caffeine brand deals, just know I'm. I'm like, full caffeine now. Not that I have a caffeine brand deal, but, like, I feel like people are gonna be like, you drink decaf? Like. Like, I just drink caffeine now. It's like.
Brooke
Like, you. No half calf.
Danielle
No, like, sometimes a half calf if it's like, my second of the day. But, like, literally, while I was at home, just caffeine. Like, I am loving this. I feel so normal. Like, I just go to the coffee shop and I'm like. Like, I used to be, like, a nice decap. Like, because I don't want the person I'm with to, like, here. But now I'm just like, I got a nice latte regular. Don't you want to ask if it's decaf? Like, whole milk? Whole milk? Yep. Regular espresso.
Brooke
You're just regular. You're just a normal girl.
Danielle
Yeah, but I was saying no to brand deals at a time because I was, like, not drinking caffeine. It was like, that didn't make sense. Or if it was something like, okay, I drink a few sips of that, but that's it, you know, just kind of like, you know, I think we're authentic in that way.
Brooke
Yeah. Well, I think, like, your opinions on things, like, definitely change over time.
Danielle
Change their mind.
Brooke
I would say the platform kind of changes things too, like, in the way that you need to, like, speak on it. Like, just being transparent. I think, like a. You know, if you're doing like, a dedicated, long YouTube video for something, like, I would want to be really, really passionate about whatever that item is. Like, you know what I mean? Like, I want to die on a hill for that item.
Danielle
Like, yeah. Or if it has to be, like, exclusive. Like, you cannot post about other.
Brooke
That's a big thing now.
Danielle
Competitor. Yeah.
Brooke
They'll make you sign, like, an exclusivity agreement, essentially saying, like, six months before, sometimes before, sometimes after the date of the posting, that you can't post competing brands. And they'll, like, give you a list sometimes. And that really, like, blocks you out from an entire, like, category, essentially. So if it's something that you talk about often, you have to make sure you really like that.
Danielle
Yeah. You really gotta ride for it. I. One day, I'll tell this story, but there was a brand that came to me with, like, the most insane exclusivity ever, and I failed. I couldn't do it. I literally couldn't do it. So we'll talk about it one day. I don't know what the rules are there, but it was, like, the hardest thing ever. And it was. It was. I just couldn't do it. So I said, no. Well, I. I stopped the deal. I, like, literally said, take the money. I can't do it.
Brooke
Yeah. Sometimes you have to walk away from things that, you know, are really. I. I've been there, where it's, like, seemingly, like, if you explain the situation to anyone else who's, like, not in this line of work, they're like, how could you say, I just cracked? Yeah, I did that like a glow stick. But how could you.
Danielle
How could you not do that?
Brooke
How could you not, like, oh, my gosh, what an amazing opportunity? And you're like, you. It's the. I don't even want to say the cost of being authentic.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
But, like, it's the connection with being authentic. It is with being authentic.
Danielle
And it's like, you just realize, like, no, I can't be exclusive to this one thing. Like, you're like, okay, I'll try it. Like, I like this item. Let me see if I can be exclusive of. I couldn't. So I. And it was. People in my life were like, how could you, like, cancel that deal? I was like, because. Just didn't feel right stuff. I missed that.
Brooke
But, hey, I get it. Should we end with one more? One more?
Danielle
Yeah. I see one. That's spicy. That people think that we don't agree politically.
Brooke
Oh, my God.
Danielle
We also. I just feel like we do most of the time, like, we're also. I'm not like, a super, like.
Brooke
Yeah. I feel like I'm more into politics.
Danielle
You're more into politics than me. And I feel like then people think that I'm like, yes, not what you. Like, we don't agree.
Brooke
No. And I think that we definitely, like, do agree. I think I'm.
Danielle
You're more vocal about things, maybe, but
Brooke
not as much as I used to be.
Danielle
You used to be even more outspoken.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
With you being more outspoken, people just assume different of me, but I just. Yeah.
Brooke
I'm not.
Danielle
No.
Brooke
I feel like you're just a regular. Regular voter. Like, you do your vote.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
I do my deed, and then I like.
Danielle
And I stay informed.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
And I read a lot of things. I just don't Just, like. Like, I feel like I post a lot about sports. You don't post a lot about sports. Like, that's so different than politics. But, like, there's just different things that we're more willing to talk about.
Brooke
I guess I pulled back on political posting just because, honestly, the. And I'm still equally as passionate.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
About things that, like, you know, like, I'm always gonna speak about abortion rights and stuff like that. Like, that is for sure. That's like, my core. Cause, like, that's like, you know me. Like, I'm. I will speak about that. That till I die. Like. Yeah.
Danielle
But I feel, like, so important.
Brooke
Other stuff. Like, I. I just feel it welcomes a conversation sometimes that I am not even equipped to have.
Danielle
Yeah. No, that's how I feel.
Brooke
You know, So I really make sure that it's like, something. If I'm posting about something, just know, like, I. That's my.
Danielle
Cause I'll die on hell for like 100. I. I forget exactly what it was, but in the last year, I remember you and I had a really long face time, like, talking about something and how we felt and, like, how we wanted to talk about, you know, like. Like, we. I feel like we actually have had a lot of conversations in the last, like, five years, but it's just not something that we're talking about on the podcast or we're posting about necessarily. Or. Or me, like, maybe Brooke is posting about, but I'm not. But just know I'm there.
Brooke
And you have those conversations in your personal Life with your friends.
Danielle
100.
Brooke
Yeah. Yeah, we definitely do. Just. We just. So everybody's clear.
Danielle
Yeah. And I don't want to sound ignorant, and I realize I'm privileged in a lot of ways in my life, but, like, it's just. It's just not something I. I talk about a lot, so I think people assume a certain way, but. No, I think we agree politically.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
When we do talk about things.
Brooke
Yeah. No, I. I definitely.
Danielle
Yeah. So I know that you probably will, but I was like, we should say this because people assume so much. Like, people make tick tocks and then we.
Brooke
No, and that's another, like, comparison thing. It could be like, well, Brooke posted this.
Danielle
Yeah. That is hard for me. Sometimes people will compare and be like,
Brooke
well, but I've always posted that.
Danielle
No, and it's not exactly like, that's just always been.
Brooke
I feel like, like in college, like, about it all, like, you know what I mean? So it's not. That's not new. That's not crazy. That's not like. It's not like. I just feel like I. I did.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
You know?
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
And that's. And I've learned so much from you. And I'm inspired by you. Oh, my me, my big sister me.
Brooke
I'm inspired by you posting every week on YouTube. I gotta get back to that. Hey, I will. Hey.
Danielle
Hey. So. Yeah. I don't know. Are there any more? Maybe a little light heart?
Brooke
Yeah, well, let's end with one that's a little light hearted.
Danielle
I didn't really understand what this one meant. I feel like you guys have secret, secret memes you use to respond to different situations.
Brooke
Oh, we. We do though. Like, we have like the smirk emoji. We like. Oh, like, I mean, that's a. An emoji. But it has. It's so layered. Like, it.
Danielle
There's so much meaning to that smirk emoji. It's like we use our voice with the smirk emoji. You. We have phrases.
Brooke
Yeah. And we were doing stickers for a second. Like the.
Danielle
Oh, I've got so many stickers of Brooklyn.
Brooke
There's the one that you use all the time. We can say that's a meme. I mean, it's the Wellbutrin one. Yeah. Yeah. So we were on a brand trip in Nantucket last year and I feel like it was just. I had gotten on, well, beach in like a month or two before that. And like, I feel like I got my dose right and like, vibes were up. I was just like, so happy.
Danielle
It like hit on Nantucket.
Brooke
Yeah. Like, I feel like I was just like, literally, wow. My eyes opened, the grass was green. It was like, beautiful. I was just like, I love every day. I love everyone. I love every day. I love Life is worth living.
Danielle
Like, she's twirling in her dress.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
Yes.
Brooke
And like, it was just so fun. And like, literally picture perfect. And then. And I was like having you film tiktoks of me and I was like, running around in the field. Literally in this field, in this house we're hanging out. It was just like, one of those moments where I was like, oh, my God, I am blessed. Like, I really am, you know, I'm so blessed. And I think it's a video of me twirling around. You took it on Snapchat?
Danielle
Is that what it was?
Brooke
Or maybe you pulled it from TikTok.
Danielle
No, I took a screenshot of, like, your TikTok or a video or something
Brooke
that you had taken, put it into Snapchat to put text over it. That's what it was. Do you ever do this or this is a new idea?
Danielle
I think I did on Instagram. On Instagram stories, I put text and I wrote Wellbutrin with a rainbow.
Brooke
And like, this. Was there a sparkle or just rainbow? Maybe just.
Danielle
I forget. I'll have to review.
Brooke
Okay.
Danielle
Maybe it was with sparkles. Yeah. And it was, well, beautiful.
Brooke
We should put it in the.
Danielle
Yeah. Because Brooke was talking about, like, all the ads you see for, like, prescriptions and yes.
Brooke
Medications at the end of, like, those commercials when they're like, may cause like, internal bleeding. Like, you know, but it's like, actually a person, like, dancing around, like, in
Danielle
slow happy as can be improved. Like, I'm literally a walking while Butrin ad right now. So now, like, if. Bro, sometimes you'll get in these, like, moments of like, oh, my God, life is so good today. Blah, blah. And I'm like. And I'll send back the sticker.
Brooke
That's a meme.
Danielle
Well, Utrin, that's literally it.
Brooke
Whenever I'm like, like, whatever, things are going well.
Danielle
Or like. Yeah. And I actually have a few. I. We should do a dump of, like, all of my stickers. I have of you with your approval, but there's like, one of Brooke pointing at a bug. My whole stickers keyboard. It's literally. Oh, my God, it's Benza match day.
Brooke
That's me. Me when I'm feeling emotional.
Danielle
Oh.
Brooke
And then.
Danielle
Oh, my God, I have so many of you.
Brooke
Oh, my go you in Cabo. I have one of you. I don't know if I could put this. It is just one with the.
Danielle
What's this one? Oh, no.
Brooke
Just know, guys, there's some that are just, like, you know, a little inappropriate, like, for the Internet, like, for everybody to see, but they're very silly. Oh, I have one of you in the Drake mask. I have one of Clara, which is blonde. I love using that one.
Danielle
Oh, that's a good one. I Have one of Clara, too. Jumping funny. Oh, I have one of you.
Brooke
Oh, I have that too. I have this one of me laying in the bed at Gretchen's wedding. Oh, remember when I slept in the room by myself on the pull out? That was funny for a bit. We loved that bit.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
That was.
Danielle
That was such a funny.
Brooke
It was so hot, right. I had to use a blanket. I was so hot. That's what it was. Yeah.
Danielle
He's laying in the bed, no blankets, nothing. You're like, hey. Because we were like, oh. Because Ben couldn't go to this one, so we were.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Oh, yeah. And you were like, hey, guys, what's up? Like, because we're all in our room.
Brooke
Yeah. You guys were all in your rooms. Yeah.
Danielle
And you're like, anyone go to get coffee?
Brooke
No, I. And I didn't feel, like, out of place. No. Like, honestly, I really don't feel like third wheelie with, like, this group, actually, which is really nice.
Danielle
No, I don't, like, ever really feel third. I'm like, it's so, like, if you do, like, that's on you. Honestly.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Unless the couple's, like, making out in front of you.
Brooke
Maybe it's because we're in relationships too. So, like, I feel like that's.
Danielle
We, like, get it. Maybe. I don't know. Yeah, maybe that was ignorant.
Brooke
Just. No, no. I mean, well, you have to pull the. Like, you should have. Delaney. Like, do you ever feel.
Danielle
Yeah, I should.
Brooke
No, I don't think she does. She hangs out with Ryan without you sometimes. Yeah, they do not. Actually not.
Danielle
No. She. Anytime. They always. She calls him Hicks. Like, hey, Hicks. I'm like, oh, that's so. Danny. Did you not know this?
Brooke
No, no.
Danielle
She'll walk into our apartment, she's like, hey, Hicks. No, like, that's what she's always called him. Like, back when, like, he would sleep over and we were living together, he'd walk in the moving, she's like, hey, Hicks. He goes, hey, free. Like, I love that.
Brooke
That's like. She's so cool.
Danielle
She's so bruh.
Brooke
Like, she is so. She's so chill.
Danielle
She's so chill. Hopefully we cleared up some assumptions for you guys, you know, that's. That maybe you learned something new today.
Brooke
Yeah. And thank you. Brutal, actually. Like.
Danielle
No, I know. I was like, wait, give us some mean ones.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah.
Danielle

Gals on the Go — “Reacting to Your Assumptions About Us” (July 1, 2026)
Hosts: Brooke Miccio & Danielle Carolan
Podcast: Dear Media
In this candid, energetic episode, best friends Brooke and Danielle invite listeners into a fun, slightly nerve-wracking tradition: reading and reacting to assumptions submitted by fans. The “annual roast” format creates playful vulnerability as the hosts address everything from friendship dynamics and brand rumors to personal anxieties and future plans. Amidst laughter, gentle teasing, and genuine reflection, the gals clarify misconceptions, spill behind-the-scenes truths, and strengthen their always-relatable “girl talk” appeal.
