Danielle
Hello, you guys. What's up? Welcome back to Gals on the Go podcast. I'm Danielle.
Clara
And I'm Brooke. And things are feeling a little different today.
Danielle
Things are changing around here. Like we said a couple weeks ago, who would have thought that the gals would be recording live from a swimming pool in the Hamptons today?
Clara
We're live. We're live, guys. I. This is me conquering one of my biggest fears, personally. I have, like, a phobia of bathing suits. I mean, like. Like, you know, it's. It's exposure therapy.
Danielle
Exposure.
Clara
Being in front of all of you today in a baking suit. This is vulnerable. This is vulnerable.
Danielle
Vulnerable. We were given this idea by one of the gals staying at the house. Shout out Maggie. She was like, what if you guys filmed in the pool? We were like, we should film in the pool.
Clara
I feel like you were like, let's film in the pool. I was like, that sounds insane. And then I came around too, and.
Danielle
You were like, wait, that. Because it's either. You know, we wanted to record a couple Hamptons episodes, and then we thought, how could we spice it up in the pool?
Clara
Like, I think, yeah, we're spicing it up in the pool today. If you don't have a visual, you should definitely go watch on our YouTube channel because that will give you a more clear picture of what we're working with here. But I feel like it's opposite day. Also, like, we were just saying that it's not only is it pool day, you know, vacation, Hamptons episode, it's also. Daniel and I decided to completely switch personalities for the day.
Danielle
So there was no chat in the group chat, basically, AKA the chat between us two.
Clara
No chat. Well, the chat was, hey, I'm going to wear my most conservative option, because I don't. You know, it's already hard enough to do this, so I want to podcast in a swim.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
And then we both came downstairs and completely opposite vibes.
Danielle
So, yeah, Brooke was like, I'm going to wear a very conservative, like, one piece. I was like, oh, my God. I got this tankini from Amazon. I bought Perfect. Little did we know, for visuals, if you're not watching on YouTube, which, again, really should be today. I am wearing a blue and white gingham tankini with bows on it.
Clara
I love. Where is this number from?
Danielle
Amazon.
Clara
Oh, I thought you were gonna say like Frankie's or something.
Danielle
No, I can't figure out Frankie sizing. So Amazon it is for me.
Clara
I was going to say this must be a Frankie's bikinis piece. No, I really, really was thinking that. And it really is opposite because mine is the skims. Roberto Cavalli collab.
Danielle
It's so obvious. And she's got like edgy Chanel Miu Miu looking sunglasses.
Clara
These are Amazon. Wow. Big Amazon day.
Danielle
My sunglasses are Amazon.
Clara
They have the best sunglasses, especially if you just are like throwing them in your bag, you know, on the go. I feel like we're very mobile these days.
Danielle
We're so on the go. I mean, we're literally recording from the Hamptons.
Clara
Yeah.
Danielle
Which we did on purpose because, like, that's why we had a little summer break last week. So we know you guys missed us so much. But they're like, no, we didn't, we didn't even realize. No, no, my mom, she goes, no. New podcast today, question mark.
Clara
Oh, she's. Your mom. Is single handedly keeping us in business. She's keeping the lights on at Gals on the Go hq.
Danielle
Seriously. Thank you, Peaceful Michelle. Which while we're at. I do want to tell a quick story. We should tell.
Clara
It's good. So we've been taking a lot of meetings. The gals are really trying to, you know, level up our production and just like, you know, things hit Gals hq, we're getting kind of crazy.
Danielle
Yeah, we're trying to level up because that's what we do around here. It's been many, many years now and many, many meetings.
Clara
We sit on these zoom meetings, guys, and we absorb the information, we ask a lot of questions.
Danielle
We're like, what? You know, we're trying to get more feedback and yeah, we really do want to take it and.
Clara
Totally, totally. So big things coming. But on the note of like, you know, directionally, like what we want to do, we were like in a chat with like some members of our team and they were, you know, throwing out, you know, you throw some suggestions, you see what sticks. Some ideas a little more crazy than the baby sprinter pool.
Danielle
Some ideas they, they play. And here we are. Yeah, we're gonna be super pruny after this.
Clara
Oh my gosh. Luckily it's only the bottom half because, you know, when it's your hands, it's like, that's you're Done for the day.
Danielle
Like, you're. No, just our toys will be nice. That's okay. But, yeah, we were talking about how, you know, what kind of guests we want on the show when we do have guests on, and how we love having our family members on our friends that. You guys know stuff like that. And I feel like a lot of them really do, too.
Clara
People who are in the Gals Universe. Multiverse.
Danielle
Is that what it is?
Clara
Yeah, it's like, universe, and then, like, the multiverse is the extended version of that.
Danielle
I think, like, that's the director's cut.
Clara
I have no idea. We're not Marvel people or, like, any of that sort of stuff. But then the Gals world, and. And we were talking about our moms. We were like, oh, my gosh. Like, our moms are such, you know, big characters.
Danielle
And someone on our team, they go, wait, you guys should do another episode with Zen Jen.
Clara
They're like, jen. Jennifer is your mom's name, right? Danielle? Because no one answered. Like, the chat was just silent.
Danielle
Like, Zen Jen. They're like, hello, Anyone there?
Clara
Active chat. And then it was like two minutes of nothing. You know, when that happens, you're like, ooh, it. Something. Something's off, you know?
Danielle
But really, I didn't respond yet because I was laughing so hard. I don't even know if I told my mom this. Well, here, now, you. And I was like. I think you mean peaceful Michelle. And he was like, oh, my gosh, I'm so sorry. I was like, I'm not offended at all. That is the funniest of my life. He was really trying.
Clara
No, he. It was an original idea. He was like, you should do Zen Jen's Zen moment of the week or something.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
Zen Gen's mantra of the week.
Danielle
Yeah. We're talking about segments and guests, you know, but now.
Clara
Now Zen Gen is sticking with us.
Danielle
We can't stop saying Zen. Like, that's not very Zen Gen of you.
Clara
Yeah, I need to channel my Zen Gen. Yes.
Danielle
So if we say Zen Gen. Now you know.
Clara
Now you know. So peaceful. Michelle's alter ego is Zen Gen. Speaking of alter ego, we have a friend who we thought had a twin for a while. Could we talk about this?
Danielle
It's me. It's okay. It's me.
Clara
No, it's okay.
Danielle
Look. That's Brooke. Now. Any sentence she says, she starts it with look. And it's kind of amazing.
Clara
It's. You know, I get a hyper fixation right now is look, comma. And usually after I say something offensive, so I'm gonna say it.
Danielle
All right. Yeah. Instead of like, can I say something mean? It's like, look. Okay, I'm looking. I am preparing.
Clara
I was gonna say, look. It's actually not offensive. You know, when you make friends in adulthood, you know, you have no context of their previous life. Like, you barely know any factors about them.
Danielle
You, like, you're up with them, you're scraping for information.
Clara
You know, you're taking scraps, whatever you can get. Like, it's like, you know, they'll mention them. Oh, my dad likes boats. Oh, you grew up on a boat. Oh, my God.
Danielle
I didn't know that. You've been in Antarctica. Who knows? Like, there's all these fun facts.
Clara
Totally. Like, oh, I lived in three. What states? I don't. I didn't know you lived in three states. Yeah. Like, you're learning about them. This is a universal, I think, your experience of making friends in adulthood. For sure, you don't have the background. No. You normally do.
Danielle
Or people that you meet that you've only known them to be in a relationship, and then you hear about their dating stories, and you're like, so much new lore.
Clara
Unpacked. We had that recently.
Danielle
We had that recently.
Clara
It's just someone sitting at the table. I was like, no, that was crazy lore.
Danielle
I'm like, how do I not know that? I only know you to be with a boyfriend. So it's very fun. Highly suggest. Like, sometimes it sounds cheesy, but a little conversation starter. Even with close friends, I do quotes because I don't know why I did quotes.
Clara
Yeah. But if you consider them to be close friends, I've been getting a lot.
Danielle
Of heat lately from everyone in my life about saying, you know, she's my best friend. I have that problem I call a lot of. But I have a lot of best friends.
Clara
You have, like, 10. You have, like, 10 best friends.
Danielle
You do a big 10.
Clara
Oh, yeah. You got your big 10. No, you'd have a lot.
Danielle
You know what I mean?
Clara
You actually are really close with. That's the thing. It's a problem, I think, when people really are like, oh, that's my best friend. But, like.
Danielle
Like, do you even know her middle name?
Clara
Yes. Like, they genuinely are not actually best friends.
Danielle
Like, do you know the Muffin Man? Like, no.
Clara
I'm like, okay, name three songs.
Danielle
Like, name three songs where they go to college.
Clara
Yeah.
Danielle
But yes. So kind of to lay it out, because you were bringing up the twin thing. Who's here right now at the Hamptons. Oh, the Characters this week.
Clara
The cast of characters currently. Well, this is Hamptons week two for me. So I guess we do well. We. One for me, two for you.
Danielle
Yes.
Clara
Coachella.
Danielle
Yes. Weekend two. So for the full. Where we have this house in the Hamptons for two weeks. For the full two weeks. Me, Katie Bellotti and Kellyanne Sewell have the house for the full two weeks. And then we have different cast and crew coming in and out as they go. And right now we have weekend or week two.
Clara
Week two. And it's. The bonus additions were me and Clara Purse, our very good friend who.
Danielle
And they're sharing a room with.
Clara
Are sharing a room. We have individual beds. It actually worked out perfectly. But it is giving camp. It definitely is. I got a, A, A scent. The house is lovely. Let me just be clear. Like, it's not giving camping. Like it is giving Lux.
Danielle
The only camp thing here is like our citronella bug candles.
Clara
Yes, you're so right.
Danielle
And our water bottles that.
Clara
Oh, that I had to label because we have the same water bottle. And God forbid I drink out of Danielle's.
Danielle
So it's a bm, you know, BM water. I didn't write on mine cuz I didn't want to. So she took one for the team. Thank you.
Clara
No problem. You're like, you could put on the bottom. I was like that. No can do.
Danielle
No worries. I'll put it right on.
Clara
Right on the top. It's okay. You know the aesthetics. I don't worry about it.
Danielle
I don't worry about it. Wait, so what whiff did you get?
Clara
So I got a whiff of like, and it brought me back to camp. Like I got a. In the closet. Like I was putting something and I don't know if it was the wood or what it was, but you know how scent is associated with nologist. I was like, oh my God. I'm literally at Stage Door Manor. Like I am at theater.
Danielle
Stage Door Manor. If you know, you know.
Clara
Yes. Okay. So our friend Clara. So Claire's one of those friends where like, you know, she'll drop some random crazy lore and we're just like, we've been friends, like close friends for four years now, but we take what we can get with her. Like, you know, she's a question asker. I feel she's more inquisitive of other people's lives than. Yes, she is of her own.
Danielle
Yeah. There's people like that where it's like they're so kind and they just want. Totally. They just want to get to know you. And it's like, wait, you know everything about me?
Clara
No. I'm like, no, tell me about you. Yeah.
Danielle
Brooke will get get you. Brook will get you.
Clara
I'll corner you. Yeah. Tell me.
Danielle
Brooke has cornered many.
Clara
What's your biggest fear? Mine. We're doing it right now.
Danielle
Honestly, here's something. There's two different types of people, or we're two different types when it comes to, like, wanting to find out information. We're both nosy in different ways. I will reply to the Instagram story, of course. I will text the person, Brooke. If she sees them in person, you're in the corner, and you're telling her. Totally. So we. Honestly. A direct tag team.
Clara
Yeah. No, it is. I actually did this at Max's. Max. Max. Max Wilman's wedding and Max and Gretchen's wedding. I went into that with an agenda. I said, I have information I want to get from two guests at the wedding. I'll tell you. I said, I. I want to get this information. And, you know, like, we. We had discussed it, and you were like, I thought to ask, too. And I said, no, no worries. After day two of the wedding, I will have the information. I have the information.
Danielle
Day one. Day one, you had the information. Day one, I feel like.
Clara
Because I'll just ask and, you know, I. I guess, maybe, obviously.
Danielle
But you only ask because you know that you have a relationship with that person.
Clara
Yeah.
Danielle
You would never make someone feel uncomfortable.
Clara
Well, also, like, you can say no.
Danielle
You can say no.
Clara
Or, like, you can. Like, I've done that before where people ask me things, and you're just, like. You give, like, the politically correct answer. You're like, no, I love everybody equally.
Danielle
And it's like, I love everyone.
Clara
They ask you your opinion. Something. She's a lovely, lovely person.
Danielle
Lovely girl. I hear great things. But, yeah. So, Clara.
Clara
Oh, so Clara.
Danielle
I think we know so much about her, and we do. Honestly, like, the last year, Brooke and I have been in this internal debate for whatever reason, because we just can't stop talking at all.
Clara
And we could have just asked her. This was very much so something that we definitely could have asked. But instead, we just decided to make it an ongoing problem.
Danielle
And it's just, like, fun to be like, what do you think? And I was so convinced. I was convinced that she had a twin this whole time, you guys, I'm like, brooke, she has a twin. I promise.
Clara
She had a twin. You were like, I know. Like, we. We knew. We. I know that she has, like, a sibling, but Danielle was like, no, they're twins. Yeah, they're twins. And she was like, she's blonde.
Danielle
Yeah, I can. I'm picturing her in my head. She's blonde.
Clara
And I was like, I, I, I know she has a sister. I, I don't know about the blonde. That's, like, mysterious. And I, I do feel we would know if she has a twin. Like, I feel if you have a twin, it's a core part of your personality, even if you're not close with that said twin, like, it's your fun fact. It's. It's a bit like, you know, you're like, because I'm a twin, I feel these feelings, and I don't doubt it. I actually can't even imagine what that's like.
Danielle
I know. That's so fun. I'm so jealous.
Clara
Yes. Because sometimes I feel intuitive, but let alone, like, that next level of, like, you can feel. Oh, my God, that's.
Danielle
No, I know. Imagine being so. Twin telepathy. But yeah, so, so we come to find out.
Clara
We actually just. I think I did directly ask. I was like, so while we're here, we were like, at the dinner.
Danielle
Well, she's. What can I say? Yeah, yeah, you can say what? She said we could cut it if you don't want us to, Claire. She goes, yeah, my twin. And immediately we're in the car. I go, brooke, I told you I couldn't have made a bigger deal because Brooke is usually right, I'm usually wrong. So I was like, brooke, see, I knew it. She had a twin. And she goes, I ate her in the womb.
Clara
I ate my twin that I ate in the womb.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
Yes. Meaning, like, you know, originally, like, not actually, but then it morphed into one. I feel like this happened.
Danielle
She didn't actually eat, but, you know, comedic relief absorbed her. Yeah, she absorbed her.
Clara
Her. She has. She's.
Danielle
Please forgive us. We don't know what we're talking about.
Clara
No, we don't know what we're talking about. I think I've heard this before from friends.
Danielle
I've heard rumblings.
Clara
I've heard rumblings about the two becoming one. You know, it's a. It's a thing.
Danielle
So, no, no twin.
Clara
So somehow that came up, though. She's like, well, you know, my twin that I. And Danielle was like, I knew it. I knew you had a twin. She's blonde.
Danielle
I'm looking at her.
Clara
I want to know more about her. And Clara just starts, like, laughing. She's like, I. I definitely don't Have a twin. I. She's definitely not blonde. I actually don't know what you're referring to.
Danielle
And I was like, I've seen photos of her, like, in college. I. I'm picturing this photo of her in college in a kitchen, and she goes, danielle, that's a photo of me from college. Blonde. And I was like, yes.
Clara
That she herself posted as a photo Venmo profile. It is her Venmo profile. And she posted this picture, like, on her story one day. It was like, TBT to when I was blonde. So you must have, like, subconsciously absorbed this photo and been, like, absorbed. You absorbed Callback Indian, absorbed the photo into your inner conscience and said, that is so. So now we keep joking around. The Claire is an evil twin that she's blonde and that's her alter ego. Like, so we're like, oh, yes, Clara's evil blonde twin would do that.
Danielle
So if you're ever wondering what's going on in my brain, I'm just saying people have twins that don't have twins.
Clara
But it was a valid question. To be fair, we didn't really know all the family lore and stuff. So that was like, you know, I'm glad we unpacked. Unpacking.
Danielle
No twin.
Clara
We're getting there. Yeah. Which is crazy. That's another thing that is so crazy that you could be really, like, such, like, close friends with someone and really not know.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
All of their stuff.
Danielle
Like, you know, because people choose what they want to talk about. Totally. There's probably something. I mean, I feel like I know just about everything about you, but there's probably something, maybe not with Katie that.
Clara
Yes.
Danielle
We don't know from her childhood. She said something recently. She doesn't know what Four Corners is. There was actually a couple people at the pool the other day. I, like, joked, actually, Was I joking? I love games. I was like, we should play Four Corners. I know. Five years old. Okay. And they're like. And Katie was like. Like, what's Four Corners? I thought she was Jo. I thought she was pranking me.
Clara
That. That could be a prank. I played that in gym class. That was.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
My gym class game.
Danielle
It's so easy, to the point, you know, Corner number two. Oh, man. You know?
Clara
Yeah. No, I get it.
Danielle
It's a good one.
Clara
I. I don't know how we would have found that out sooner, you know? Like, what were your big games when.
Danielle
You were a kid?
Clara
I don't know.
Danielle
Also, can we shout out our new mic flags with our new logo? We're Stepping up. We're leveling up. We've got beautiful new, like our logos on our mics. So it is. I just have to say something. Squirrel, you know.
Clara
Thank you.
Danielle
Just thinking about it. Yes, yes.
Clara
There's Clara's evil twin.
Danielle
She's right. Mama.
Clara
Mama Claire's twin, mind you.
Danielle
Hopefully she doesn't make us cut this because this has been.
Clara
No, it's so funny. I really think it's really funny.
Brooke
It's the dead of summer and all I'm thinking about is my Lola blanket. Like, I get so excited to come home and lay under my Lola blanket. I was just in the Hamptons and I had my Lola blanket there. I have a Lola blanket at my apartment. I have a Lola blanket at my family's house in Florida. Like, I can't stop with the Lola blankets. I love them so much. So does Brooke. So you guys are roommates. Very fun.
Clara
So we're roommates. It's going great. Except for the fact that she has vibrate on her phone.
Danielle
Yeah, everyone's got their own style.
Clara
No. I don't know. I mean maybe it's just because my boyfriend and I don't like I do a vibrate on. Like your phone vibrates.
Danielle
I'm not a vibrate on person but I. It's like half and half with people. I feel like it's like they have vibrate on and I don't know how they do it because I don't know how you're asleep and like constantly vibrates going on. But Ryan doesn't put on do not disturb but he doesn't get a lot of texts in the night. Just depends on the type of person. What do you do?
Clara
I don't put on do not disturb but I have notifications. Like the sound off. I get the like banner notification. I guess my phone lights up but I sleep with it face down.
Danielle
Yes.
Clara
It's not a problem.
Danielle
It's really down ass.
Clara
Yeah, it's not a problem. I think if you call me like 10 times or something. Then it starts to like ring, right?
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
Isn't that a setting that it's like after you call certain number of times it rings.
Danielle
Yes, I have it. Call me twice and then it'll go through. Or maybe it's on the third call, I don't know. But it is so interesting. It also goes back to like, do you put your phone on airplane mode like when you're flying? Like, I always put it on airplane mode because that's what you're told. But some people, they're like, I don't need to.
Clara
And I'm like, well, when we went on the private plane that time, Danielle and well, he was going over all the protocol, you know, the doors for exit, whatever. And then Daniel's like, well, should we put our phones on airplane mode now? And he was like, you like, gave her like. He's like, you don't have to do that at all.
Danielle
I was like, wow, wow, wow.
Clara
Yeah. You're such a rule follower in that way though. You think that you're single handedly gonna bring the plane down by having your airplane mode on.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
I'm like, look, they're like Danielle Carolyn in seat 4B.
Danielle
I'm always convinced that they like where the signal is like intercepting.
Clara
No, there's people who are like the, like, you know when pilots take the plane and like they have their iPad, like I feel like that has cell data and they're like using that. I'm like, that's going to intercept. Like.
Danielle
Oh, you mean the pilots that are flying.
Clara
Yeah.
Danielle
Oh, like our friend we met on our way to Alabama. Never forget. Yep. Yeah, he did have something with data going.
Clara
We also never unpacked. The fact that when we traveled back from Max. Max Wilman's at Max Gretchen's wedding. The amount of caliber of talent on our talent.
Danielle
Not just pilots.
Clara
Yeah, no, I swear it was. I thought it was a prank. Like there was a group of people that roll up in scrubs and they're holding like model skeletons and stuff.
Danielle
Literally on the plane.
Clara
Literally on the plane with a skull. Yeah. We come to find out they're neurosurgery residents. And then for them. Yep. And then as we're boarding, I see scattered throughout and because they always travel in uniform.
Danielle
In uniform.
Clara
So we about five to seven pilots on that plane.
Danielle
I felt very safe.
Clara
Very safe.
Danielle
You know, we've got substitutions if need sub them in.
Clara
Literally. We have literal brain surgeons. We have a crew. A crew of brain surgeons.
Danielle
And pilots.
Clara
And pilots.
Danielle
So no pilot beat though.
Clara
No, no, no, no. He gives. He would definitely ride in uniform, though. I feel like he would want people to ask him, like, hey, were you a pilot for.
Danielle
He would do the bit for sure. I probably would do.
Clara
Look, if I were a pilot, I would not take that uniform off. It's probably, like, part of, like, the rules that you have to wear it. But it's just always so funny to me. I'm like, you know, you see them. That's the one. When you see a pilot, that's like, not the. Walking through the airport. They're kind of like a celebrity.
Danielle
No, it's. Well, I saw TikTok one time, and it's like, you're. You should be backstage, right? Like, I don't want to prepare for your performance. Go back, please. I don't want to interrupt anything like. Or if they're in line. Remember we met that one in line? Or was it just me at Starbucks one time? Maybe you were. You were there. But maybe you're in a different.
Clara
I've met some celebrities in my day.
Danielle
Yeah, but I'm like, pilots off duty. I know. I just.
Clara
They are. It really is like, I feel like people that clear out of the way for them, like, they're walking with their bag and, like, the. The seas part, and it's like, let the.
Danielle
Let the bodies hit the. No, no, let the pilot. Let them.
Clara
Let. He. She. I love when I get a female pilot on the. Like, a loud speaker when they're like, I just feel safe. Like, I do feel safe. Like, I feel very comfortable.
Danielle
Good afternoon.
Clara
They're kind.
Danielle
Brooke, you know, we should do right now. Remember you sent me this. The flight attendant. You read it.
Clara
We're doing it. Oh, yeah. There's a thing. There's a.
Danielle
It was a. I got it.
Clara
A trend on Tick Tock where you. Because you know when you get on a plane and the flight attendant goes into their spiel, like, there are life vests under your seat, four door wing. Exits there do not stand unless the seat belt sign is off.
Danielle
But they do it in, like, such a specific way. I'm gonna do it first and then Brooke. Okay. Says practice in 3, 2, 1. Good afternoon, everyone, and welcome aboard this flight from New York to sunny Miami. We are so happy to have you with us today. Before we get started, we'd like to take a moment to go over a few important safety instructions. Instructions. Popcorn.
Clara
Brook. Oh.
Danielle
First things first.
Clara
A few important safety instructions. First things first, Please make sure your seat belt is fastened securely. It should be low and tight across Your lap tray tables should be stowed and your seat back should be in the upright position for takeoff. If you're seated by the window, please make sure your window shade is up and be aware of your nearest exit.
Danielle
In the unlikely event of an emergency, please listen closely to the flight attendant's instructions and review the safety card located in the seat back pocket in front of you. We understand that some of you fly often and others might be a little nervous. Either way, rest assured, you're in very capable hands.
Clara
I think we.
Danielle
That was so fun.
Clara
We're good. Do they memorize that or they have it somewhere?
Danielle
I always wonder. Sometimes I think they have it memorized, and other times it's like, that's too monotone. Like, there's no way you're not reading that from something.
Clara
I. I feel like it's. If you say it, let's just say three to four times a day. If you're, you know, like, on a frequent flyer, then like.
Danielle
Like that guy on our Nantucket flight who said this, I'm getting off. Yes.
Clara
Yes. No. If you're a flight attendant who does, like, regional planes, I guess. Because if you do international, you don't do it very often. I guess.
Danielle
No. And it might be different. And you've got popcorn. People do different languages, which is.
Clara
I love that. I know when they do that, I'm like, oh, my gosh, we're here. Yes. They're speaking.
Danielle
Yes.
Clara
All right.
Danielle
It's really exciting. It's very accommodating.
Clara
It is. Wow. That was awesome.
Danielle
I've been. We. You sent this to me, like, months ago, and we were like, we'll do that. Yeah. But it just had to feel right.
Clara
Yeah.
Danielle
And that just felt right. That's why I love gals in the goat.
Clara
It's awesome. That's awesome.
Danielle
We're literally so awesome.
Clara
What else is going on this week? So you've been here for a week. So you've been really experiencing the Hamptons, living it up. What are some highlights?
Danielle
Like, I'm really happy that we're staying in East Hampton rather than Montauk. I think that Montauk we've been going to a lot, and we will be going there this weekend to go out because that's where a lot of the out stuff is. However, I feel like I'm. I know I'm in New York, transplant, and I'm out here, whatever. But I'm even seeing a difference from when we did Montauk three years ago. Four. Four. And three years ago. That it's like, even busier there now. And I feel like I've heard that even the line for, like, Left Hand Coffee, which is a place we love, is, like, seriously, 50 people. And I'm not gonna be like, oh, no, they're all out here. But selfishly, I'm happy that we're in East Hampton, because East Hampton is right before Montauk, and Montauk is the end, and we can kind of, like, go into Montauk when we want. And the East Hampton town is so cute. And I just, like, love this life out here. Driving around and being in this house.
Clara
Yeah, it's lovely. This is a different part of the Hamptons than I've, like, really ever stayed in. I mean, it's still, like, East Hampton, which I guess. Yeah. Yeah, it's. But it's. It's really. We're in the woods. I mean, we are in the woods. In the woods. There are plenty of deer. They're. They're here.
Danielle
So many deer, so many bugs.
Clara
Clara has been. I will say Claire's been a lovely roommate in the sense that she is so good. She was like, took care of the bug. She's like, I saw the biggest mosquito, but she doesn't tell me. She's not like, ah, mosquito. Like, she takes care of it. And then she tells me she knows. She knows how to deal.
Danielle
I know a secret.
Clara
No. Was there a bug in my room or something?
Danielle
No, but. And you might not care. She was just trying to be thoughtful. She. I think you know this. She killed a bug in the car?
Clara
Yeah.
Danielle
What?
Clara
Stop.
Danielle
No, no, it's nothing. It's not poisonous, but it was a baby cockroach.
Clara
That makes me want to die. That actually makes me want to die. Where did it come from? I thought you were gonna say, and it came from your suitcase or something like. No. Oh, my God.
Danielle
That's so thoughtful of her to, like.
Clara
She.
Danielle
She wasn't ever gonna tell you, but I called it. Sorry.
Clara
Oh, my God.
Danielle
I thought it'd be live on camera.
Clara
I don't know where it came from. Oh, now there's bugs. Not the baby cockroach.
Danielle
Oh, like, how real that she just killed it and was like, I'm just gonna. Brooke will think it's a mosquito. No problem. But cockroaches, they don't, like, bite or anything. They're disgusting. They're disgusting.
Clara
Oh, my God. Let's change the subject. No bugs. No more bugs. We're out here in the woods. What. So what have you done so far? Where. Where have you been? What Will you go to Pilates? You're like, princess. What's the clientele at the New York Pilates in the Hamptons this summer? Are they. Is it. Is it giving? I'm obsessed with the East Hampton moms. I. I see my future.
Danielle
I can see my future. I could see the Travis Scott song. It is definitely different than the New York Pilates in the City, and I love it. It's actually. Yeah, it's a lot of moms. There's not really. I think we're usually, like, the youngest ones there. It's fun. Yeah.
Clara
You feel so young, and I feel.
Danielle
So young and hip. But they can. They're. I'm doing the modifications. Like, they're out here doing the damn thing. So, like, props to them. And I find the Pilates classes, the New York Pilates, to be harder out here in general. I don't know if Kelly would agree. We actually have a live audience. Kelly's over there, but she's editing. She's working as well. But, yeah. So that's been really fun. We've been just, like, going to New York Plotties in the morning and then going to get coffee, which has been really lovely. Last weekend, we had such a fun weekend. We went out to Mary Lou's, which is like a new club in Montauk, which was a blast. I'm trying to think. We saw Chris Appleton, Mr. Hairstylist. Really beautiful man, honestly. And then who else did we see? Oh, like, there was some Southern charm people around. We went to Surf Lodge. Went to Surf Lodge and had an incredible experience.
Clara
One celebrity in my.
Danielle
Oh, yes. Thank you.
Clara
Yes. One of your biggest.
Danielle
Big. One of your big, big five. I. I love this guy. If we're talking about the same person.
Clara
Yes. Yeah.
Danielle
We saw Jason Sudeikis. I was like, Ted Lasso.
Clara
Is that you in the Flash? In the Flash.
Danielle
In the flesh.
Clara
I think he's also such a cutie. Like, I feel like he's so. Like, he's a good, like, celeb crush. Because he's funny, you know? Does he look as charming in person? Is he tall?
Danielle
He's tall. Are you getting him confused with Josh Jamel for me?
Clara
No.
Danielle
Okay. Yeah.
Clara
But I'm not like. I mean, I thought that you said it was really important.
Danielle
No, I was very excited. Yes. Yes. For a second, I thought you were talking about Josh.
Clara
No, no, I'm thinking of Jason today. Is. But I think of him from the movie with the.
Danielle
Where? The Miller's an amazing movie.
Clara
Such a. I watched it recently. Again, Such a Good movie.
Danielle
You can watch it with anyone, too.
Clara
Hello.
Danielle
Plane sounds of the Hamptons. Plane. No, he was there. And it's actually really funny because he. Me and my friends were, like, walking by him, and I heard him say. And not in a rude way, but I heard him say to his friend, like, so you know these people, like, these girls, they say, oh, they're, like, with the brand or, I don't know, something. Like, he was there with the same brand we were, I think. I don't really know. But, yeah, that was pretty exciting. And we saw Snake Hips. You would have absolutely loved. You've probably seen Snake Hips, I think, at a festival.
Clara
I have seen the Snake. Oh, no. They. Oh, no. They opened up for someone. I definitely have seen the Snake eps before. At the Mirage. Yes.
Danielle
Oh, my God. And I got to go buy in the DJ booth. Yeah.
Clara
So let's talk about it. Did you get a personal invitation? Did you walk? Right.
Danielle
So I. So, well, we all know Ruby. Seriously? Yeah. The Queen of Montauk. And she was celebrating her birthday there on the same night, and she was like, come hang out with me. I was like, obviously, we'll be there.
Clara
Of course.
Danielle
And so we got up to the deck, made a deck. Fuck the deck. Yeah. You guys. Yeah, it's. I'm gonna be so for real, like, if you don't buy a wristband for the deck at Surf Lodge, like, I don't know if she got. I'm gonna be so for real.
Clara
Because you can't see the art that you should go. I don't think that I wouldn't. And I'm. I'm saying this as someone who is very privileged to, like, usually not have to pay for this. Like, I usually go on someone else's dollar.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
Brand.
Danielle
Yes.
Clara
Not a significant other.
Danielle
You don't even need a table. It's like, you can just buy the wristband.
Clara
You can buy a wristband. You can go online. We just saw. I mean, they're obscenely expensive.
Danielle
So expensive. And you have to still pay for drinks. Yeah.
Clara
And I would say you could treat it like a concert, but not really, because you really are not getting a full concert experience. It's. It's. No. Even if it's like, you know, a crazy big dj, like, it's not the equivalency of seeing, you know, John Summit at Surf Lodge is not the same as seeing John Salmon at Madison Square Garden, obviously.
Danielle
But even, like, you did have so much fun.
Clara
I did. I did. No, but, like. But yeah, it's not musically. It's not the same. Like, you might be thinking, oh, I love Snake Hips LP Joby, who's playing this weekend, you know, she's one of my favorites, but I would personally rather see her concert. So. You know what I'm saying? But if I were going to pay three to four.
Danielle
Choose. Yeah.
Clara
For wristband, which is what the cost is, I would personally spend that money to be, like, front row at her concert.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
You know what I'm saying?
Danielle
Yeah. Like, of course. 100. And I'm glad you said that, because I think people think Surf Lodge is fun, but it's only fun if you, like, do it a specific way, in my opinion.
Clara
And it's just straight up not worth, like, yeah, it's just not. And it's not like, oh, it's not worth it, but it's more so, like, I. I'm still grappling with the fact that I'm coming to terms with the fact that it's just. It's a whole scene.
Danielle
It's a whole scene.
Clara
And to be completely.
Danielle
And you're kind of on edge. You're like, oh, my gosh. Like, who's around me? Like, what if someone's taking a photo? And I'm like, you know, I don't know.
Clara
You're in the background.
Danielle
Yeah. I don't know.
Clara
Did you feel like a celeb, like, the people come up with you at Circle?
Danielle
Actually, yes. Shout out. At the very end, two girls came up to me. So thank you. But no, I. Not like that. I mean, Jason Sudeikis was there.
Clara
Yeah.
Danielle
But it's really fun because it's like, on the. It's fun in the sense that it's on the water. The sun's setting. You have beautiful music playing.
Clara
Yes. So.
Danielle
But, yeah, I got to go. Oh, but. So Ruby was like, do you want to go behind the DJ booth? I was like, I mean, yeah. And she was like, your wristband. Like, you can just. Whatever wristband I had, I could go behind the DJ with. And I was like, you're kidding me. And I looked at one of my friends. I was like, will you go up there with me? And she was like, I never thought you'd ask. So we went up there. I. I did make Ruby come with us because I. Even though we could just go on our own, I just felt comfortable. She was like, yes. So she brought us up there, and we danced for a little, and then we left. But it felt good to get behind that DJ booth, you know?
Clara
Yeah, I am. I've never been back There.
Danielle
So I thought you did with John Summit.
Clara
No, I was right in the front. I was right.
Danielle
Well, maybe. Yeah, maybe go back. We will.
Clara
Yeah, do it.
Danielle
So that was fun.
Clara
It's look, proximity. Proximity to the DJ is, you know, that's cool.
Danielle
Yeah. And this weekend we have a fun plan and we'll. We're doing a recap episode of this weekend because I just know the giggles. We have lots of people coming that we love so much.
Clara
Cast of characters.
Danielle
So we're gonna do like a Sunday hangover episode, which I think is gonna really hit. So that'll be next week's episode. So I won't even run them through our plans because.
Clara
No, don't. We'll do that next. Yeah, no worries.

Danielle
Should we do our panics of the week?
Clara
Yeah, let's get into it. Let's get out. Look, what are you panicked about?
Danielle
Well, I was panicked about Surf Lodge actually. Funny.
Clara
Oh, funny.
Danielle
Funny you should ask.
Clara
Tell me about it. Tell me about it. If you know the surf lodge lore on the podcast, we have one year three years ago now. Four years ago.
Danielle
I think four. I think it's. No, I think it was our first year here. I think it's four.
Clara
Oh my God.
Danielle
Four summer. Like stop. Like four summers. Like 1 20.
Clara
22.
Danielle
2022, whatever that is.
Clara
Oh my gosh. We went. Okay, so we went to the Hamptons and you know, everybody's like surf lodge or vlog. So we decided to like buy a table. Me, you and Katie, like pretty much split. I think some of our friends paid a little bit, but I think predominantly like we paid. Yeah, we're like, let's do was so expensive. And we were literally in a different.
Danielle
Universe than where we couldn't even hear the band. We. It was pouring rain, they still brought out our food. It was just a whole mess. And so the next Year, we were like, we're not going to Surf Lodge.
Clara
Lodge.
Danielle
No, no, no.
Clara
Never again.
Danielle
Never again. And then last year, there's a bug. Oh, no. ASMR the water. Last year. Mama, a bug behind you.
Clara
She's gone. You keep going.
Danielle
Last year, I did it when Brooke wasn't here, but I did a table with our friends, and it was a blast. It was so expensive. So then I was like, I won't go again unless maybe we have the privilege of getting invited by someone or. It just, like, feels right. And so tomorrow we potentially have plans to go to Surf Lodge again, but I'm panicked because I have, like, three of my friends coming. Katie's got some friends coming. Ben's coming. Like, we just want to make sure, like, Brooke was invited, I was invited, our friends were invited. But we're all just trying to make sure. We all. There seem to be tears with these surf lodge things. It's like, oh, did you get the beach?
Clara
With everything?
Danielle
There's tears.
Clara
Look, there's tears with everything. And coming to terms with the fact that I personally never seem to be in the top tier is. It's a tough realization to come to. It's shocking. No, it's not. It's not shocking, but it's like, you know, you get there, you think you have, like. You're like, oh, my God, I'm all set.
Danielle
I'm here.
Clara
Suddenly you're not. It's never good enough.
Danielle
It's not. It's like, oh, there's always one more thing. Like, you had that. Oh, Brooke was just a lala.
Clara
Yeah. Lollapalooza, you know, I get a VIP wristband. Let's go vip. VIP chilling in the VIP section. I look up the platinum section, you know, with the seats and the AC.
Danielle
And the buffet, there's always something more.
Clara
My God. I thought that it. You're like, no, but it goes. Comparison really is the thief, because I was. I was good in my own little world over there. Is there a bug?
Danielle
I'm, like, skinning my elbow. I didn't even realize this.
Clara
We're putting ourselves through challenges over here.
Danielle
It's gonna be so worth it.
Clara
So. So basically, you're stressed because you want everyone to have a good time.
Danielle
I'm stressed because I want everyone to have a good time. And I can only do so much, though. I can control my, you know, my ducklings, and that's all I can do. And so I'm just having to come to terms with that of, like, I think when we do these Hamptons houses. It's like, you know, we're all trying to make sure that everyone's having fun, but then it's like, I should be able to have fun. Fun, too. Not that I would. Let me be clear. I'm not gonna go to Surf Lodge without my friends. But we're just trying to all, like, our whole group is trying to figure it out, and it's like, we're just trying to make sure we have the most amazing weekend ever. So Surf Lodge, we will see. I mean, you guys will know by the time this is up, you'll know if we made it, if we made it to the deck, because I'm gonna be so for real. I'm not. I don't want to get turned down at Surf Lodge.
Clara
You've been triple checking, she said, confirming that I will have wristbands. Confirming that I will have wristbands. And I'm like, I didn't even know about these wristbands, but I, I.
Danielle
Because I had the experience.
Clara
Yeah.
Danielle
It's worth asking. So hopefully we'll end up. And if not, it's not meant to be, and we'll go to Montauke, which we were already going to do anyway, so it's gonna be so fun. But that's like my little panic of, like, I think just, like, in general, having the house and wanting to make sure everyone has fun, of course. But also making sure that I'm still having fun. Because, you know, when you're hosting, like, I'm so scared on my wedding day, I'm gonna be so stressed about everyone else, except for me.
Clara
You. That's why we're gonna work through it now.
Danielle
We're gonna work through it now. Because also, I just want to say one thing.
Clara
What?
Danielle
The amount of comments, and it's very sweet. The amount of comments I'm getting about getting engaged. About getting engaged.
Clara
I know, it's. I wanted to talk about it, too.
Danielle
Because I'm fine to talk about it. Yeah, let's talk about it.
Clara
It's been something that has been addressed, and I feel like we continue to address it, but yet we continue some sort of misunderstanding in the messaging.
Danielle
I want to say one thing right now, you guys. Like, I feel like it will be known when I'm like, when it's like, the time that I'm gonna be getting engaged. Like, it's so cute. I'm getting like. And I know it's from a positive place, but it's comments like, I just, you know, it was actually funny. Got like 500 likes I just want a ring on that finger for you. And I'm like, thank you, but I promise I'm okay.
Clara
It was like the one of you two dancing. It was very, very cute.
Danielle
And I love that man so much. And we're about to move in together, and it's so exciting. But it's so funny that I just want to clarify. I am not. Like, I do believe Brooke will be getting engaged before me. Can I say that?
Clara
Yeah, you know, you could say that, but watch it not be true then. And Ryan pulls a fast one on all of us, and it's like.
Danielle
Well, I also. Ryan and I were recently talking about this, and I said. I was like. Like, I should tell. I was saying. I was like, you know, we'll discuss when it's time.
Clara
The three of us were in the car. Yeah. Yeah.
Danielle
You were there. You were there. I was like.
Clara
You were like, no, we'll talk about it before.
Danielle
We'll talk about it before.
Clara
Confused.
Danielle
He was like, it'll be a surprise.
Clara
Surprise. It's a surprise. And you're like, no, you will go to. You said speak to Brooke. To Brooke. You will speak to Delaney.
Danielle
Yeah. There are people you will speak to. Yeah, I gave him a list. I was like, there are people you will speak to beforehand.
Clara
And we.
Danielle
It's just like, a known thing. Like, you talk to someone before, and it's like, okay, I'm ready, like, in the next year, whatever. Like, I. I love a surprise. I think anyone does. But.
Clara
Yes, but he was just like.
Danielle
And I think he was. I think he was kidding with us, but he was like, no, you should.
Clara
But Ryan is a man of surprises, is the thing. Like, that's the one thing about Ryan. I feel like you never know his next move.
Danielle
You never know.
Clara
Which is interesting, because he is a Virgo, but.
Danielle
But he's not. Yeah, he is not a Virgo at all. So that's where I'm at. And you guys will know when I, like, I feel like I'll make comments. I'll be like, you know, when I have a ring on my face? Like, I will.
Clara
You.
Danielle
I feel like, you know when someone's, like, ready to get engaged, and it's just because I'm enjoying dating right now. And that's the last I'll say it, because we're about to move in together next week. We're moving into.
Clara
I think you also. I said this last. I. When I was in your shoes one year ago. I said this the same thing. You're living in together now. When Are you getting engaged? Literally, we had just moved in. It was like, days into, like, a month in. And I was like, I. I just want to be clear. It wasn't like, first. Like, as soon as we move in together, then we can be engaged. Like, it was not.
Danielle
It was never.
Clara
That was supposed to be like, let's live life together for the next step. Yeah.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
And not, like, for two days. Like, it was like, let's. No, let's. Let's. Let's live and let live. And then, like, see how we're vibing, like, 100. Because I think that we both. We always said that. I feel like we separately said that.
Danielle
Like, we've always been the same way. Live together first and then feel it out. Yeah, feel it out. But, like, no, you have to live together. That's another fun stage. Like, you. I want to enjoy the bridal era. We want to enjoy having kids there. Like, you want to enjoy all these areas.
Clara
Of course. No. Well, I say that because I'm like. I share the opinion. I'm speaking for Danielle. I'm like, we should. What, A ring up? No, no.
Danielle
No ring.
Clara
Oh, there's no ring. No. There's no ring.
Danielle
There's no.
Clara
Mommy. There's no plane.
Danielle
Mommy, there's no plane. I didn't know if you were gonna be late.
Clara
There's no plane. No. There's no plane. No.
Danielle
I don't think you'll be getting engaged this year either.
Clara
No. I mean, I've been like, in having the debate of the, you know, the lab diamond versus the mind diamond, like.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
I'm grappling with the fact that, you know, it. Mine's gonna be live, and that's completely fine. I actually, you know, it's fine. It's beautiful. I think that I am coming to a lot of conclusions this year.
Danielle
Yeah. You're with myself.
Clara
I feel like I'm, like, coming to big decisions internally and. Yeah. Big things coming. Not really. Actually. I say that, like, we have. I've never tried on ring. Like, no, this is not, like, no things coming. Big things. No, I.
Danielle
But Brooke recently shared with me. She was like, in a perfect world, this was, you know, a couple. She gave me a couple scenarios would be fun to get engaged in. I don't know if all a sudden of be.
Clara
No. It's a lot to work out. I know. And I'm. It's not.
Danielle
It's a great idea.
Clara
It's not conducive with the time of the year, though. Like, it's not. Yeah. I. But I do want my friends to know. I. I have some friends, boyfriends who now fiances or husbands. Didn't tell anybody they get a rogue FaceTime. I. I'm gonna say I almost feel like that's kind of like rude to your friends.
Danielle
Yeah. So a few people should know your best.
Clara
Best. Well, you, Daniel is 10, so that's gonna be tough. But you know, for the beat people, like, I think just so that like, you know, plans can be in motion for like a celebration, a gift. It's just like generals and people won't.
Danielle
Mess up the surprise. Like, no. No one wants to be the person to mess that up.
Clara
Yeah. I mean, and you could do your own thing, but like Matt, once again, Max Wilman Maxwellman. He told us that he would be. Remember two summers ago when they came to the Hamptons? He pulled Danielle and I aside at the club. At the club, very casually and was like, look, look, look, look. I'm Gretchen. I are going to Italy. This will be the day. I'm proposing we're gonna have an engagement party probably a month after that.
Danielle
Would love to have you guys.
Clara
See you there. We can make it.
Danielle
We could make it. But we were so flattered to have been told.
Clara
I think it was a real. He's a stand up gent like he really is.
Danielle
And we didn't spoil the surprise. We didn't tell everyone because that's not our business to share. And it worked out great because thank God he told both of us so we could talk about it.
Clara
Yes, it was great.
Danielle
Thank you, Matt Maxwell. That's very nice.
Clara
Thank you. Max.
Danielle
While we're on this topic, we should talk about the bachelorette little fun thing. So Lauren Loveless, who's an influencer, she just had her bachelorette party in our trip in Jackson Hole. It looked amazing. I loved following along. I love following along. Everyone's bachelorettes and they did a night because her fiance's initials are ny. So she had everyone wear I heart NY shirts.
Clara
So unique. So originally so cute. It's so intense. So, so beyond. She's so like, she.
Danielle
She's that girl. She's that girl. And. And we loved it. So we started talking about it and.
Clara
Thinking about what our. If we did the same theme, what would our, you know, trends kind of be? So what would yours be?
Danielle
So I was like, okay, Ryan's initials are R.H. and I was like, Restoration Hardware. So me, R.H. rooftop. Like, such a vibe. I can work with that.
Clara
RH Mine. Brooke, bp. BP oil. BP oil spill. Remember the gas Station. BP shirts. Remember the oil spill? What year was that? It was like 2012 or something. I'm joking about it, but I feel like that was like everywhere. And I remember there's a BP in my town. And I remember telling, like, I didn't know anything about the oil spill, but I told my parents. I was like, we cannot go to bp. We have to go to the gas.
Danielle
Station across the street because gotta go to Shell.
Clara
My parents, like, it's cheaper. What are you.
Danielle
They did an oil spill?
Clara
No, I was like, they contributed. It's our. Our environment. You know, I didn't even know any. Like, I feel like I heard it and like, I. I was just regurgitating the information.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
There's a key events. It was like the Tiger Wood. Cheating and divorce.
Danielle
Oh, my God.
Clara
I'll never forget the BP oil spill.
Danielle
I remember when Britney Spear shaved her head.
Clara
Yes.
Danielle
That I remember where I was. My neighbor's house. Like, it's crazy.
Clara
Those moments in society are remembered forever. You're so right. 2008. If you know, you know.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
Did you ever sit down with your.
Danielle
Family to talk about, you know, cutting back this year? You know, like, there's all these.
Clara
Yes.
Danielle
Moments of your childhood that you remember. And it's so crazy because there's probably so much more going on. But, like, our parents just, like, told us.
Clara
Totally.
Danielle
The Bear men.
Clara
I was just making my music videos in my room. They're like, they have no idea what's going on.
Danielle
By Tayo Cruz. Literally.
Clara
They're, like, running the finances. They're like, we're not. We're not gonna make it.
Danielle
Like, we gotta sell something. You know, we're all.
Clara
Just because it's a dynamite and I.
Danielle
Subscribe to my channel, like, you know, and we're very grateful that our parents.
Clara
Let us skits and stuff. Yes.
Danielle
No, Literally. Who knew?
Clara
God.
Danielle
Bp. Yeah. Oh, the other bp, it would be Nordstrom. BP Nor. Oh, there you go.
Clara
That's. I'm so Nordstrom. Bp, you're so Nordstrom. I really am.
Danielle
So that could work.
Clara
I don't know. I don't. Maybe I'll just nix that theme. I don't know if that's really gonna do for me. I love when people do the, like, if his name is like, John, you do like famous John's. Have you not seen this?
Danielle
Like, John Deere.
Clara
Yeah. John Cena. John. Like. Yeah, they're all different. John. I think that's funny. Or you could do the last name.
Danielle
But that' not as got Ben Stiller. What else? What other. Ben.
Clara
Ben.
Danielle
Ben. Benjamin Button. Is that.
Clara
Yeah. Benjamin Franklin.
Danielle
Benjamin.
Clara
Like, you could go. No, that's what they do.
Danielle
No, that's perfect.
Clara
You know, famous bends in history. Famous. Ryan's in history. Ryan Reynolds. Ryan.
Danielle
Ryan Gosling.
Clara
Gosling. But those are, like, you know, you need someone that you could really like, dress him. Like, costume. Costume.
Danielle
Ryan.
Clara
I have to. I have to get creative with that.
Danielle
But back to the gas stations. I feel like you're. When we were road tripping. Road tripping. We were driving from Cape Cod to Boston. Like, Brooke loves a gas station. Like, the snacks. Like, that's your farmer's market core.
Clara
No, it. It is.
Danielle
I took this photo. We'll put it in the newsletter.
Clara
I'm gas station core. Like that. To me, like, I love a long browsing trip to the gas station. Like, going through those aisles. It brings me so much joy. I'm like, what's new? I can't. Can you believe they made an Oreo? Reese's collab. Mind you, I'm allergic to peanuts, but.
Danielle
I'm like, can you believe it?
Clara
Can you believe it?
Danielle
Would you ever believe it? No. It's crazy.
Clara
They're just coming out with so many new things these days.
Danielle
You notice they had mobile, like, personal tortilla chip bags. Never seen that before.
Clara
Why has it taken us this long? That feels like something that.
Danielle
No, it should have already happened with, like, a mini salsa. Like, how cute.
Clara
Genius. Genius. And I love seeing, like, the drinks. I've never even had one of these, like, the. Like the ice cream. Like, they have the machine that you put. I think it's called friel. It's like a milkshake situation.
Danielle
Okay, I'm there. I'm where you.
Clara
I think in the cup is, like, it's frozen. And then you put it in the machine. It, like, spins it up. Oh, I've seen a slumpy or something. Never even had one, but just intrigued. Generally interested in the idea.
Danielle
100.
Clara
I love a gas station.
Danielle
It was really fun going to the gas station with you. You had your little. Little boy in color 2003 hat on.
Clara
I honestly like looking at the new protein bars we were going through. We were like, you know, the built would try that.
Danielle
Yeah, the built puffs.
Clara
They had every. They always have such, like, unique, fun options. Yes.
Danielle
We were literally watching the summer I turned pretty last night, and they clearly were sponsored by Michael's or something last night. And Brooke go, they're, like, in Michael's. And Brooke goes, look at all the offerings.
Clara
They have they have so many offerings and apparently they accept all the competitors coupons. That's what Clara told us.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
Get your stuff at Michael's.
Danielle
Seriously, get yourself at Michael's. It was. Yeah, it was fun. We watched the new Summer I Turned Pretty episode last night, which was so fun. I. I don't know that I've watched it with you before, and you were hilarious to watch it with. She had so many funny. Like, last night was the Peaches episode. If you know, you know. So that was. There was a tease.
Clara
Honestly, it was pretty cringe. Pretty cringe. It was.
Danielle
But couldn't keep my eyes away.
Clara
No, I couldn't. And what was shocking to me, I found out what Conrad Fisher. What's his real name?
Danielle
Chris Bry.
Clara
What he looks like in real life. I was shocked, honey, I was shocked. I. I can't believe that that's the same person. Person.
Danielle
I know. He definitely tries to be the anti Conrad in person.
Clara
I. But I. I mean, no. And I love a man who does look, look. Not even man. I'm. Look, I love when a person just says societal rules.
Danielle
Yeah, I'm gonna do what I. And he's got a girlfriend, and they're so happy.
Clara
And he's happy. But to me, when he has his hair cut like Conrad Fish, like a boyish look, no top and jeans, and he's working on the roof, like, yeah, I'm there. He's the woman of everybody's fantasy. The woman. The man of everybody's fan. I can't. I can't.
Danielle
It's all.
Clara
I've been saying this phrase recently. Like, when I see someone, like, I've been joking around about, I'll be like, oh, you know, the ideal woman. Like, I don't know how I need to give it.
Danielle
Who is the idea? Like, are you talking? Are you.
Clara
Would you say, like, you know, when Cindy Sweeney comes up, I'm like, oh, the ideal woman. Am I right? Like, you know, because, like, I agree.
Danielle
I get it.
Clara
Or like, I'll just see someone who's like. Like, we'll get on the top. I don't know, like Kim K. Or something. Like, the ideal woman. Like, just start thinking, like, it's a funny. It's a fun.
Danielle
I love.
Clara
Or you see someone who's like, so beautiful, you know, in person. Like, she's the ideal woman.
Danielle
Yeah, she's the ideal woman. I. I like that a lot.
Brooke

Wherever you listen to podcasts. Something else that we've been saying. I was telling a story the other day to the girls and, and I'm actually, me and Claire are like the youngest ones here. I'd say like, I'm 26. You're 28? Yeah, 28. Yes. I'm about to be 27. But then we have like 30 year olds. Like we're all very close in age.
Clara
By the way, you've always been the youngest.
Danielle
I've always been.
Clara
You always have. She's always been little sister. No, you have been. Even like in the YouTube days I remember. Well, we would hang out with people.
Danielle
That were like, I was underage drinking for sure.
Clara
And we hung out with people that were, I don't want to say considerably older, but like much.
Danielle
I'm only laughing because that's the, that's what we've been saying. So I was explaining a story, like a situation to Brooke and company about like a relationship. And I was like, you know, he's much older. Like, he's like your age. And Brook goes, oh, yeah, very old.
Clara
Much older. I was like, oh, no, she's. She's 20. No, he's. Sorry, she's 24. He is much, much, much older. Your age. Your age. Actually, he's 28, right. Or what are you, 29? Yeah, yeah. Very, very much, much older. Yeah.
Danielle
So now.
Clara
Your age. Yes, he's much, much older.
Danielle
It's fun to have a bit like it bring back bits, like.
Clara
Yes.
Danielle
And this whole house, we have so many bits now. Like, we've got the whole house. Like Kellyanne's saying, literally all of the time. Literally. We have converted them up. We shared like some new sayings that we produced during week one. We have brought into week two. We've shared them with you.
Clara
Yes. Thank you.
Danielle
And now, you know, the background, like, silky hairstyle, you know, like we know.
Clara
Yes. I'm still. I have to learn, you know, when you, when you get introduced a new bed, it takes a little bit of practice.
Danielle
You have to use it. You have to use it in context.
Clara
Yes.
Danielle
You know, it's a conversational.
Clara
Of course, of course. So much, much older. You always have been run. People are much, much older. I think you like 10 year age gaps with people.
Danielle
I've had 10 year age gap people, for sure. Ah, maybe like eight. Like me and Katie. Much, much older.
Clara
Much, much older.
Danielle
But like, Katie and I really, like, we've had a couple moments in with Kelly where it's like, oh, that song, like, I loved that in middle school. And she's like, oh, my God, that was like senior year of high school for me.
Clara
Oh, much, much older.
Danielle
You know, we've had a couple of those moments.
Clara
Yeah. And when we start to realize like, what grade of school we were all in, like.
Danielle
Yeah, the grade.
Clara
Because you would have been a freshman when Katie was a. Oh, no, that's not that big of a gap. I guess then. Wait, what? No, she would have been a senior and you were a freshman, right?
Danielle
I think.
Clara
Yes.
Danielle
No, we were in school for one year.
Clara
Yes. Okay, but I wonder if that's so crazy. She's the big bad senior and you were just a little freshman.
Danielle
No, it's crazy, but it's close enough where we've all had the same experiences. It just depends on when. It was, like, the only one I like, kind of missed out on. I had a MySpace, but, like, I feel like wasn't in the MySpace. Like, did you like, I wasn't allowed.
Clara
That was the. My parents one rule. Because they saw something on the news that was the MySpace murders. And they're like, if you get on.
Danielle
That website, you're getting murdered.
Clara
You're like, that is never like. That was, like, my hard boundary.
Danielle
Like, yeah, that was. But you could have Facebook.
Clara
After a certain age, I had to ask for it. Yeah. Was it, like, 13 or something?
Danielle
Yeah, that's when it was, like, on Facebook, it was 13. So I think.
Clara
I think they caved a little early, maybe.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
But that was. Meanwhile, I was making YouTube videos way before that, when I was much, much younger.
Danielle
Much, much younger.
Clara
Much, much younger. I was making. They had no idea. Like, that's. You know, I feel like they hear what they hear on the news, but they actually have no idea what you'. I was probably on chat roulette and Omegle.
Danielle
Oovu.
Clara
Yeah. I mean, UVU felt safe because it was like, sky. Yeah, yeah. Like your contacts. But every time I went to a sleepover, I was ripping chat roulette. And. And what's the other one? The chat roulette. The video one?
Danielle
Yeah. Where, like, you click next and then it's someone else. Yeah.
Clara
Yeah. That was my first exposure to naked bodies. Was on chat roulette. Did you not have that?
Danielle
Oh, no. Yeah. Male body parts. I was shocked, honey.
Clara
I was shocked.
Danielle
Shocked.
Clara
What is that?
Danielle
What is that?
Clara
I. I was shocked. What did I say there? No.
Danielle
100.
Clara
That must be a universal experience. It's like, at.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
Sleepovers are a crazy thing when you're, like, 13. They're really pivotal to develop.
Danielle
Everyone has different rules in their house. Like, I couldn't have computers in my room, but my friends, we could have computers in the room.
Clara
And. And some parents were very aloof. They have no idea what's going on.
Danielle
Like, oh, have fun, girls.
Clara
And some are very involved, so I.
Danielle
Feel like some lock up the liquor, you know, it just depends.
Clara
Yes, you're so right. Some lock the back door on the house. Others leave it wide open. The back door.
Danielle
Brooke, I. I want to know what you've been panicked about this week.
Clara
So I went to Lollapalooza this week. Music festival in Chicago. We went four years ago now, and I remember loving it then. But I was really drunk. I was really drunk.
Danielle
So I. Yeah, we were pre gaming. We were with, like, TK we were doing it differently.
Clara
So much fun. So I was like, am I really gonna like it this time, or was it just because I was drunk? I really love it. It's a fantastic. Someone's backing into the driveway. The back door. Do you Hear it.
Danielle
Do you think it's probably some packages.
Clara
Yes.
Danielle
Very exciting pack package day. There's so many packages in this house, you guys. Because there's, like, five influencers.
Clara
Yeah. You guys get a lot of packages.
Danielle
So many.
Clara
So many big packages, too.
Danielle
Yeah. Because we're buying, like, big.
Clara
Yes. Much, much bigger.
Danielle
Much bigger. You know, you wouldn't. You wouldn't know. So you were like, last time I went.
Clara
Last time, I went so drunk. I can. Cannot stress that enough. But this time. So fun. My one panic was that I had. And I had it on for the longest, literally all the time. My phone charm thing, like, I had, like, a loop, like, with beads on it.
Danielle
Yes. It was so cute.
Clara
And that was an extension of me at this point. Like, I had it on for about, you know, two months. It was so good. It was like a little wristlet that kind of went on my phone own. I didn't. I thought that that thing was rock solid.
Danielle
Me too.
Clara
I mean, it was made out of rocks, basically.
Danielle
I noticed it's gone now.
Clara
Yes.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
Because in the bathroom, I have it on my wrist. I wasn't even paying attention. I think I leaned over the sink to wash my hands. All of a sudden, literally let the bodies hit the floor. Every single bead, like, it ripped. It must have been 250 beads. I'm not exaggerating. Just all over the floor in various directions. There's a line out the door. There's people. Like, it was the most embarrassing moment of my life, because then I was like, holy. Do I to crawl on this bathroom floor and pick up every individual bead.
Danielle
Oh, there's nothing worse because you're like. So everyone saw me, and now they have an expectation of what I'm supposed to do.
Clara
I don't want them to trip and fall on the beads.
Danielle
No, no, we can't have hazards. No.
Clara
They're like, oh, my God. Sliding on the beads.
Danielle
Like, is it one of those, like, trailer things?
Clara
Bathroom. And my beads are everywhere. What would you do in that case?
Danielle
I would look around and see what people are expecting me to do. I would. I would. I would assess.
Clara
I had mixed messaging. There was one person who was really, you know, like, oof. Like, what are you gonna. Like, what are you gonna do? And there was one girl who. She was my queen, my angel. And she's like, literally, as long as it's not in anybody's way, you should just, like, kick them out of the way.
Danielle
So I think I would have done that.
Clara
And I picked up a few and Then I said, no, no, the floor is very, very, very much, much dirtier, much, much sturdier. It was very dirty. So I just kicked the beads around and. But just the awkwardness of that moment, I can't. I just, I think I was just feeling, feeling good, you know. And then that happened. I was like, wow, I am a loser.
Danielle
It's so vulnerable. Like dropping something. Seriously. And then just everyone watching or like. I was at the grocery store recently, I dropped a thing of meatballs and.
Clara
It'S like, slam open.
Danielle
Some came out. Yeah. Oh yeah. And thankfully it was at Citarella and the guy came over immediately. I mean, they don't have rubber bands like there. He felt bad.
Clara
Look, look, look, it's no one's fault. I'm just letting you know.
Danielle
No, it was so embarrassing. But I'm glad he like saw me and like brought over paper towels and like he knew what to do because I was like, look, I don't know what to do.
Clara
Like, help me.
Danielle
I am in Cinderella.
Clara
Yeah, no, I didn't know what to do either. There's no rule book for situations like that. Like, that's the thing. I wish that there was like a right and wrong.
Danielle
If you drop your beads, seriously, like, if you like, how are you to know if you drop your drink? Like, oh, it's always so awkward.
Clara
Awkward.
Danielle
Yeah. So. Wow. Well, I'm so sorry. You don't.
Clara
Oh, it's totally, totally okay. Lala. So amazing. I cannot tell you. I just love the music festival. It's so great. It was busy. It was busy. Like, and I, I don't think it was that busy when we went. I really don't. I. Yeah, I remember being like a popular music festival, but it was, you know, walking one stage to another. It was. Yes. Like you were in a big pack.
Danielle
Like trying to all get to the next set. Yeah. Yep. The lineup was stacked. Like Brooke would be like, like, oh, and T Pain came on. Oh. Then Sabrina Carpenter and I was like. And then someone else. You said. I was like, oh, two friends. I can't all. I would have just loved to be there.
Clara
So I'm so glad it was drone shows. It was so many. I saw Rufus to Soul finally, which I was really, really excited about cuz I really want.
Danielle
Like, that's a magical experience.
Clara
Oh, it was spiritual.
Danielle
It was very Zen transcended.
Clara
It was transcendent. And I was basically sober the whole weekend. I like, seriously, I. I believe you. No, no. And I feel like that's like music festivals in your late 20s. Like, I feel like I used to be, like, I have to get so drunk for this to have a good time.
Danielle
Then you don't remember it or like.
Clara
Yeah, no. And that's. It is fun to get that drunk too. Look, look me this weekend. But also, it's long days on your feet. Like, you know, you get to a certain.
Danielle
Your phone's running low, you're hot.
Clara
Yeah.
Danielle
You're chugging water.
Clara
Better to just. Oh. And then I became addicted to. Well, Well, I think because of my medication. Wellbutrin.
Danielle
Rainbow.
Clara
My Wellbutrin. I've been getting overheated more easily, which is the thing that happens.
Danielle
Yeah. Too into that workout class. That happens.
Clara
Yes. And I just, I sense it, you know, when I feel like I'm like, oh, I feel a little. Which I don't love. Hopefully that adjusts soon.
Danielle
Yeah, let us know in the comments below.
Clara
Yeah, please let me know if that adjusts.
Danielle
Yeah.
Clara
Because then I was. What am I gonna do? Like, I have water. Liquid Death was my BFF that weekend. I felt so cool.
Danielle
You need to get sponsored by Liquid Death because that was a cute photo up.
Clara
Thanks.
Danielle
You're welcome.
Clara
If they want it, I have it.
Danielle
So she got it.
Clara
If you want to see the cool photo ring. Pops became my best friend.
Danielle
So cute.
Clara
Because, you know, it's quick. Sugar. Sugar on the go.
Danielle
You didn't need my banana or my granola bar on the sailboat. Quick. Here's a banana.
Clara
Take the sugar. Now, Brooke.
Danielle
Now look at me. Brooke. Are you here with us? I'm glad you had sugar.
Clara
No, I, I, I really was saving me. I feel like I could have you. Like, you know, sometimes you need a little. A little quick.
Danielle
Did they have them for sale?
Clara
Yeah, I just started. I. And then I bought maybe 10 of them. I bought a ton literally all the time.
Danielle
You. That's so you. I'll take the 10 back. Better value. Like it was.
Clara
No, I just kept going back, and then it just got to a point where it's comical. Like the kid.
Danielle
It was like, literally, the tongue was blue. Yes, yes, I saw the photo.
Clara
It's in the newsletter.
Danielle
If you haven't seen it and the newsletter.
Clara
It was embarrassing. But anyways, that. So I have to say, really fun. Yeah. Really fun music festival, literally all the time. Maybe next year we should go if we could work something out.
Danielle
I, I really liked it when we went last time because, like, Chicago in the summer. So fun mixed with, like, such great music. I feel like it was a better lineup than, like, Gov Was.
Clara
And you can do Chicago during the day and then go at night. Like you could really. Oh. And this year I didn't take advantage of this, but they made it that you can go in and out.
Danielle
You're lying.
Clara
So if you want to go to someone at 2pm, go home, go back for the headliners.
Danielle
Like that's really nice that they did that because I feel bad for the people that are at 2pm I know. I bet there's. There's been people that I want to see. I'm like, I'm not getting there that early.
Clara
Yeah. Cuz then you're there all day and you're locked and.
Danielle
Yeah. And Chicago is easier where like you can just step. Like it's literally in the city.
Clara
It's in the middle, it's.
Danielle
Whereas not a lot of festivals are like that.
Clara
No, that's why it's the best festival. Because it's literally in the middle of everything and just, it's. The energy is just right. It's so good. Yeah.
Danielle
Are you enjoying the pool?
Clara
I am. This is maybe the most. I've been in the pool all summer.
Danielle
Yeah. I don't think you've been in the pool yet. Like here, here. Because it's been cloudy. I haven't.
Clara
Yeah. I went in the pool other times this summer. I did go.
Danielle
Yeah, no, of course, of course, of course. It's just such a beautiful day. I wonder what the UV is. I wonder if our back is just getting roasted. Do you put on sunscreen?
Clara
No. And I don't want to talk about it.
Danielle
I forgot. You know, I just had that thought.
Clara
Just now, literally all of the time.
Danielle
But my back is like. I'm always focused on tanning my front. I feel like, like I'm always laying on my back.
Clara
Your face is tan. You're very tan right now. I Very, very tan.
Danielle
I tried to tan my face the other day because you don't want to do that too much. It's like roasting marshmallow. Like you can't let it be too much because then it just burns it and then it peels. And nothing's worse than your face peeling because then the makeup gets all like flaky. So you gotta like really do it in doses.
Clara
I'm. I'm at the age where I'm more concerned about the hyperpigmentation. I feel like in the long lasting, like I'm trying to like.
Danielle
Yeah, I'm about. Yeah. When you're much older. Very much, much older. When I get to that stage.
Clara
Yes. When you're when you're much, much older. Maybe that's. That would be a, you know, something that you would consider too.
Danielle
Exactly.
Clara
Big sister. No, but I also didn't put on sunscreen. I'm not perfect, but honestly, I don't spend a lot of time in the sun. Like, I really. I. I can't stress that enough.
Danielle
Indoor outdoor cat.
Clara
You know me.
Danielle
Yeah, I was thinking about it more. I think you already said you, like, wouldn't do this, but like, I could see you with like a little kitty cat. I've met some that I like recently.
Clara
I would love it. Ben is allergic.
Danielle
Allergic. Yeah. He's not allergic to dogs though, but dogs.
Clara
Some dogs. Some dogs. Dogs.
Danielle
But like, everyone's a little. Are you really allergic?
Clara
No, my mom is allergic to cats. So I actually do get that.
Danielle
I'm not talking about the cats. Dog.
Clara
Oh, sorry. Okay. They're like, no, some. But I think it's some dogs. Like, it's like, isn't it like the fur versus the hair versus the probably.
Danielle
And there's like hypoallergenic dogs.
Clara
Right?
Danielle
There actually are hypoallergenic cats.
Clara
You have a hypoallergenic dog?
Danielle
I have. I've always had a hypoallergenic dog. Just for fun.
Clara
Just for the bit of it.
Danielle
No, because the dogs that I like are.
Clara
They happen to be. They happen really all the time.
Danielle
They are just little designer dogs.
Clara
They are. Yeah. I definitely did not. I had a lab and the hair was everywhere literally all the time.
Danielle
That's like a thing me and Ryan disagree on often. Like, I am like, he just wants a dog with tons of shedding hair. And I'm like, are you gonna clean that up? No, it's gonna be me. It's gonna be me vacuuming it up.
Clara
I think that my parents were cleaning literally all the time. Because I feel like it wasn't everywhere, but he. It was coming off everywhere.
Danielle
You know what I mean? Like, even Kelly here with her dog. Like, I haven't like said anything, but she's just constantly vacuuming. Cuz I think she just wants to make sure everyone feels good.
Clara
Oh, that's nice.
Danielle
But like, yeah, it's another thing to like fixate on that. I don't think I could do it.
Clara
Literally all the time.
Danielle
Literally all of the time. I feel like that's like when you're a kid and you want. You say, mom, like, can we please get a dog? And it's like, are you gonna take the dog out every time? No, it always ends up being the parents that walk the dog early in the morning, like, do those things, like, take them to the vet.
Clara
Yeah.
Danielle
So.
Clara
Well, you have to do. Yeah, you have to do, like, the hard. The hard jobs and, like, someone's got to pick up the poop. Kids doesn't want to do that. Probably.
Danielle
Kids do not want to pick up the poop.
Clara
Someone's got to do it.
Danielle
Some. Somebody's got to do.
Clara
Should we do glam on the go?
Danielle
Let's do glam on the go.
Clara
Glam that I am currently loving. Oh, you got. You guys did a little room drop for me when I got here.
Danielle
A little room drop. We thought it would be fun.
Clara
You guys. You guys got sponsors for the house. I was like, this is such a deluxe experience. Thank you so much. Like, we got to. Our room is all made up and. And I. I saw some Ouai products in the corner. Ouai O U A I the Ouai. The Ouai hair products. And one of them that really spoke to me that I wanted to try was the wave spray. Because right now we both have beautiful blowouts. But prior to this point, we've been rocking with the natural hair and for.
Danielle
Sure not what we've got.
Clara
I would, like, take a shower and just like, literally get out of the shower and do nothing.
Danielle
And that's summer.
Clara
Yeah, that's summer for you. But I. I use this wave spray and it. It. It's more. It's like a sea salt spray.
Danielle
Yeah. It adds texture. It's great on, like, natural hair.
Clara
Yes. And I. I have a little bit of a wave. I probably could. I need to figure out my configuration of products to make it a little bit better, but I loved it. So if you have, like, you know, naturally, like a little wavy, maybe curly hair, maybe try this product.
Danielle
No. Your hair looked really good yesterday or. Yeah, the last two days it looked so, so good. And I'm so glad you liked it.
Clara
It's a little poofy, but I. I'm trying to mitigate that and make it more. More like curls. I think that that's like a gel. I need to figure out what that product is to like.
Danielle
You need to watch Ashley LaMarca's, you know?
Clara
Yeah, she.
Danielle
I mean, she has, like, curly, curly hair, but I feel like she's got it down like. I feel like it's like. And have you seen those curl brushes like, you brush on Tick Tock Shop?
Clara
No.
Danielle
I'll show you later. I don't know. I don't know. Because your hair is not, like, so curly. I'M just. I was just trying to.
Clara
No, but I think that if you ha. If you do it right, it can be like, I'm pretty. Everyone says, like, you know, if you handle it right, like, over time.
Danielle
Twisted and scrunch. There's like, all these things upside down, and you plop ex. Yes. There's all these things all the time. Literally all the time. My Glam on the go is a product that I'm just. I'm noticing anything that has a pump these days, it's my favorite thing. I am always here for something easy, and I was just gifted the Tatcha silk serum. Did you get this?
Clara
No, I. I did, but. That sounds lovely.
Danielle
Yeah. It reminds me of their. The purple jar, that water buttercream.
Clara
Yeah.
Danielle
It's not the gel, it's the cream, and it's. It seems like it's just that because it's that, like, light purple color, but it's just in a pump, and it's more of a serum. And while I've been here in the Hamptons, I just kind of want to put. I just brush up my eyebrows with some gel, and I put on the Tatcha silk serum, and I feel like it gives a nice glow.
Clara
Yes.
Danielle
And then my skin's moisturized. Got the skin barrier a little bit, and I just really like it. I've been using it to skin prep before makeup. I really. Kelly and I are trying to find time where I do my makeup in front of her, and. And she tells me what I'm doing wrong, so I'm curious to see what she thinks because she's a makeup artist, so we'll see. But that's my glam on the go. I love it because it's on the go.
Clara
It's a pump, you know, obsessed with the on the go theme. Yeah.
Danielle
We'll have both of these things linked on our gals on the go. LTK for you guys to check out. Do you have any closing remarks for Hampton's episode?
Clara
Number one, I am just having a lovely time. I think it's a great group, and there's so much. You know, I really. One objective that I really would like to accomplish in the next few days is ice cream. I would like to get some ice cream. I have been thinking about it literally all week.
Danielle
We should get some tonight.
Clara
Yeah.
Danielle
Before we have, like, a bigger group, we should. We should go to John's Drive in.
Clara
That's my favorite.
Danielle
We got to get some cash. I'm sure you have some cash.
Clara
I've got it covered. Look, I've got it covered.
Danielle
Last time I went to John's, there was like four of us and we forgot about the cash and so we had like $12. So we were rationing. We're like, okay, you can get sprinkles, but not the rainbow sprinkle. Like, we were literally rationing. So I want to go back and be able to really get what I want. Yeah.
Clara
Yes.
Danielle
John's driving.
Clara
John's driving.
Danielle
I like this for this journey for us this evening.

Podcast Title: Gals on the Go
Host/Authors: Brooke Miccio and Danielle Carolan
Episode: The Hamptons Uncensored
Release Date: August 13, 2025
The episode kicks off with Brooke and Danielle sharing an exciting shift in their usual podcasting environment. For this episode, they decided to record live from a swimming pool in the Hamptons, a departure from their standard setting. This change was motivated by Maggie's suggestion to film in a pool, aiming to "spice it up" for their listeners.
Notable Quote:
Clara [00:52]: "This is me conquering one of my biggest fears, personally. I have, like, a phobia of bathing suits."
Brooke candidly discusses her anxiety about wearing a bathing suit live on the podcast, labeling it as “vulnerable.” Danielle supports Brooke's vulnerability by acknowledging the shift in their dynamic and the fun addition of filming in the pool.
Brooke and Danielle delve into the behind-the-scenes efforts to elevate their podcast's production quality. They mention numerous Zoom meetings with their team, aiming to introduce more engaging segments and possibly bring in guests from their "Gals Universe."
Notable Quote:
Danielle [03:22]: "We're trying to level up because that's what we do around here."
They brainstorm ideas such as featuring family members or friends as guests, discussing segments like “Zen Jen’s Zen Moment of the Week,” which humorously evolves into “Zen Gen,” Brooke's mom's alter ego.
A significant portion of the episode revolves around the playful misconception that their friend, Zen Jen (Peaceful Michelle), has a twin. Brooke and Danielle humorously speculate about the existence of a blonde twin, only to later confirm that Zen Jen does not have one.
Notable Quote:
Danielle [13:03]: "She goes, yeah, my twin. And immediately we're in the car."
Through laughter and light-hearted banter, they debunk the twin theory, revealing the humorous misunderstandings that can occur even among close friends.
The hosts share their mixed feelings about attending the Surf Lodge in the Hamptons. Danielle recounts a stressful past experience where their table reservation led to an underwhelming event due to heavy rain and poor visibility. This year’s plan to revisit Surf Lodge brings anxiety over ensuring an enjoyable experience for all their friends and maintaining their own enjoyment.
Notable Quote:
Danielle [37:14]: "We're trying to make sure we have the most amazing weekend ever."

Danielle emphasizes that any future engagement will be meaningful and properly planned, rather than a spur-of-the-moment decision.
Notable Quote:
Danielle [40:44]: "I am not... I do believe Brooke will be getting engaged before me."
Clara supports Danielle's statement, sharing insights into their mutual understanding about relationship milestones and the importance of taking time before making significant commitments.
The conversation transitions to the complexities of forming friendships as adults. Brooke and Danielle discuss how, unlike childhood friendships, adult friendships often require more effort to uncover personal histories and build deeper connections. They highlight the challenges of discovering unknown aspects of friends’ lives and the joy of learning new things about each other.
Notable Quote:
Clara [06:25]: "This is a universal, I think, your experience of making friends in adulthood. For sure, you don't have the background."

Brooke and Danielle recount their recent experiences at music festivals, specifically Lollapalooza in Chicago. They share anecdotes about encountering celebrities like Jason Sudeikis and enjoying performances by bands such as Snake Hips and Rufus Wainwright.
