Danielle
Hello you guys, what's up? Welcome back to Gals on the Go podcast. I'm Danielle.
Brooke
And I'm Brooke. Happy Wednesday.
Danielle
Happy Wednesday. I had a celebrity sighting on my way here. Who?
Brooke
I, ah.
Danielle
I was waiting to tell you.
Brooke
A list. B list.
Danielle
Should we, should we play a little game?
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Yeah. Someone who's just like. I feel like he and his wife are spotted a lot. I don't want to say his wife because that might throw it off.
Brooke
Like she's okay.
Danielle
And he dresses very casual. Adam Sandler Y. I have photos like right around here, just in Soho, like by Felix, that restaurant.
Brooke
Oh my God.
Danielle
I actually recognized her first because she's in a lot. All of his movies.
Brooke
Yeah. And I was like, oh my God.
Danielle
That looks like her. And then I was like, Sam, he's literally wearing like a Hawaiian shirt. He was holding her Goyard bag king.
Brooke
Wow, that's a good celeb sighting. Wow.
Danielle
I feel like you've seen him before now. No, I don't think I've seen Delini. Delaney has seen him like a couple times.
Brooke
He's always around.
Danielle
He is always around. And she said she saw him around that area too. So I'm like, do they live there?
Brooke
They. They if.
Danielle
Yeah. Are they stay at a hotel over there? Who knows? But it was so funny to just see them. It was like, you know, the full daylight, there was no one really else around and they were like deciding which way to go. And like he started walk, walking one way and she's like, Adam. Like it was just so weird seeing it.
Brooke
Normal people like just being normal and.
Danielle
They were technically going the way I was gonna go. And then I just, I felt violating just watching them. So I went a different.
Brooke
Did you watch anyone approach them? No.
Danielle
He had sunglasses on. She had like a fedora hat on.
Brooke
Or don't. Incognito.
Danielle
We'll put the photo I took in the newsletter maybe. Oh, it was like from behind. So hopefully that's okay.
Brooke
No, that counts. That's perfect. Wow. That was a good. You just brought information.
Danielle
I know. I thought, you know, I'll actually wait till we.
Brooke
Wow.
Danielle
Rather than, like, no, you really.
Brooke
How. That was good. Because normally, like, we just start yapping.
Danielle
No, totally. And they. I don't think I would have recognized them, but, like, there was just no one else around.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
We just saw the faces. Because I feel like you and I both were not, like, big spotters. Like. Like, some people are really gonna be like, oh, I saw that per. Like, I. I feel like we're around people, which don't.
Brooke
For sure. For sure. I think sometimes I'm like, I know this person from somewhere, but I can't say what Adam Sandler is like. Adam Sandler, of course. I feel like there's so many actors that it's just like, oh, they're from that one show, but I don't know their name. And like, 100.
Danielle
You're right.
Brooke
And they're, like, around.
Danielle
But he's Adam.
Brooke
He's at. Adam. My friend Adam.
Danielle
My. My friend Adam.
Brooke
Mel.
Danielle
Our friend Mel.
Brooke
Our friend Mel.
Danielle
We literally talk about Mel all the time.
Brooke
Too much.
Danielle
Literally all the time. How are you?
Brooke
I'm great. Well, I'm a little. If you hear. I'm a little sicky in the voice, so just apologies for that. But I. I hate that. I hate. You know, when you're.
Danielle
I don't notice it, really. I really don't. And I've noticed it before, like, in other people and myself, but, like, okay.
Brooke
Like, I hear it. You know, when you hear your own, like, yeah. Playing back. I'm like, in my head, it sounds.
Danielle
Like yesterday you post on your Instagram story, and I could hear it in your voice, but not today.
Brooke
Oh, wow. It's clear.
Danielle
Hey, hey, hey.
Brooke
It's clearing up, but I had a fantastic, fantastic week, truly. I can't wait to hear about your week at Austin City Landmarks. That name is killing me. Like, I know that that's the name of it, but it's like, what's the city limit? Like, is it.
Danielle
No, I know. It's like, right in. I don't know if it's right in, but it's outside of downtown Austin. But, yeah, I know. I'm realizing a lot of people say acl. Like, they just say, like, acl, but sometimes I'm like, what if someone doesn't know? So you got to say Austin City Limits.
Brooke
I feel like it's a big enough festival that you can say that.
Danielle
My favorite Thing is, when you pretend to be like, an old Southern man, that's like, my. You do it so well.
Brooke
Oh, my gosh. I gotta get into, like, characters.
Danielle
Someone DM me that obviously Taylor Swift, you know, new album, whatever. Amazing. She was. We were just talking how she was on Jimmy Fallon and someone DM me, maybe you, too, that she did, like, our little voice we do on the podcast, on the interview. And so I went back and watched again and I was like, oh, she kind of did. She kind of did want to, like, you know, like, oh, what was she talking about?
Brooke
I watched all the videos when I must have missed that she was, like, making fun of someone.
Danielle
She was, like, making fun of herself. Gosh, I forget it now because, like, on air, they cut a ton of things, but then they YouTube. I don't know. But it was like, you know, our voice is fun.
Brooke
Yeah, it is fun. I mean, hey, if they are, it's good enough for Taylor.
Danielle
It's good.
Brooke
It's good enough for the gals, for all.
Danielle
I also love that she says, like, a lot and it makes me feel seen because I don't know if I noticed that. I noticed it. Now you're gonna notice that she. Because I feel like she's very specific. You know, she really wants to say exactly what's on her mind. She doesn't want to up. Like, I feel like she's got a lot of PR training and she says, like, a lot. And, like, that's relatable.
Brooke
You know, I watched so many of those UK interviews. Did you watch a lot of those?
Danielle
I never knew of any of these people.
Brooke
No, of course they were uk, like, radio stations, like, very niche to us, at least I'm sure. Bb Like, I feel like some of them are like, we wouldn't listen. Like.
Danielle
No, the Graham Norton. I didn't know who.
Brooke
No. Because they're big in the uk. I feel like we have our own, like, radio Jimmy's and stuff. Yeah, we got. Hey, we got the jimmies. The running.
Danielle
We've got the jimmies.
Brooke
Yeah. Literally, they're running everything around here. But I was going on, like, a spiral. And then, like, it was interesting to hear, like, the different of what she said. She said she's gonna have a big wedding. She showed off a ring. She's. She's just.
Danielle
I will be invited. Our favorite thing to do. Brooke and I do think we'll be invited to that wedding.
Brooke
And probably not. Stelling. No, I don't think we're gonna make the cut, but she's gonna Have a huge wedding. That's gonna be epic to see. It's going to be epic. Yeah.
Danielle
I'm so glad she's not gonna do some secret little, like.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Sea Garden wedding where we see there's like two people invited.
Brooke
No, she's like, everybody who knows me is getting like, that's.
Danielle
That's.
Brooke
That's awesome.
Danielle
Yeah, that is really, really cool. And I love that she, like, cleared up rumors and stuff. Like, she's.
Brooke
Yeah, she's just a cool. A cool. Like, I see the. I've always been a fan, but like the related, like. And I don't think she's trying to be relatable thing. I truly believe that she is just authentically like a little weird. Rest of us.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
She's a quirky.
Danielle
Yeah. For that. Just on a Taylor High. It's really. It's a good album. We were just talking about it. Like, just good vibes. I went and saw the movie.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Which you were invited to, obviously, but you were travel. You were away.
Brooke
Yeah. And honestly, even if I was here, I don't know. Like, I. As we've mentioned before, I wasn't gonna say that I like Taylor Swift, but I like, if it came down to purchasing tickets to the movie, like, no, like, I don't think that was for me.
Danielle
No, totally.
Brooke
And Swifties. The deep Swifties.
Danielle
And she ended up, like, releasing all of that, like, on the Internet, literally like an hour before we went to the movie theater. And we were like, did you watch it? No, I didn't.
Brooke
Because I was like, yeah, we're about.
Danielle
To see it in theater tickets. But it was really, really interesting. And I really do hope there's going to be an ERAS tour doc, because it was. She showed behind the Scenes of making Music video. And it was so interesting. And it makes you want to just see an ERAS documentary, like.
Brooke
Got it.
Danielle
Sorry, I didn't mean to make this.
Brooke
A whole Taylor Swift.
Danielle
No, no. Like, it is on the mind.
Brooke
Were people singing the songs in the theater?
Danielle
Oh, in the theater. Yes. So fun. I thought you were gonna say. I also learned. I guess I knew this. You probably knew this too, but I forgot that, like, when they were filming this music video O. The Beep track. Yeah. I think you actually had told me this. I forgot about it. And it's just crazy to think about the fact that none of the dancers knew the song. They were just.
Brooke
Yeah. So they were just hitting the beat. So boring. Yeah. That's crazy. And Taylor was mouthing the words.
Danielle
Yes. And she would, like, sing Them sometimes. So, like, they definitely knew the vibe, but they must have had crazy NDAs, I would imagine.
Brooke
Yeah, I was tight.
Danielle
Tight.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
Are you watching Dancing with the Stars?
Brooke
Yeah. Yeah, I'm watching.
Danielle
That's, like, fun.
Brooke
It's so fun.
Danielle
Like a weekly thing.
Brooke
It makes me. Do you ever, like, get up and, like, try to do it?
Danielle
Yes. I think I would suck.
Brooke
Ballroom dance is hard. Like, they're really. I think people who are taller have an advantage. I will say. I notice, because I think that you have more. Like, a lot of it is, like, room, like, kicking, and, like, it seems like it's a lot of, like, leg work. And I notice that the people who are, like, very tall, like, it just looks. I don't know how to describe it. Like, it.
Danielle
Yeah, like, the kicks look very tall.
Brooke
Clean. Oh, so clean.
Danielle
Hey, you're kind of tall.
Brooke
Seven. No, I. I think. Honestly, I think that the girl who got voted off, Lauren, like, she was like, I want to do it to get in shape. Like, I. That would be mine. Yeah. I'd be like, I want to do it to get in shape. Like, yeah.
Danielle
100. I feel like you get in such good shape and, like, it's a brain game because it's so many steps and you're working with a partner, so you have to. Oh, my gosh. That's so much work.
Brooke
I don't know if I would have it in me, to be honest. Like, that's, like, real, like, grit and commitment, like, to commit to some. It's not like, a little, like, I'm doing a little dance. Like, it's like, you. That's your life for three months.
Danielle
It's crazy.
Brooke
So it's.
Danielle
Absolutely.
Brooke
Anyways.
Danielle
Yeah, Anyways, here we are. We are here.
Brooke
Yeah, we're down here. I want to hear about Austin City Limits. Like, I really want. I want you to tell me about Austin City Limits.
Danielle
Austin City Limits was so much fun. I got to go with Ryan, which was a blast. I did take notes because I figured.
Brooke
You did, because I feel like a lot was happening. Like, it was just a big, big weekend.
Danielle
Big weekend. Okay. First of all, because I feel like we like to talk about this. The access, the wristband, you know, Like.
Brooke
I saw that you got some good access.
Danielle
Whoa.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
Did we get some access? Thank you, T Mobile, for this. Like, going into Aussie Salem, it's like, I didn't. I'm going to say acl. It's just easier. I didn't know, you know? You know, it was Coachella and stuff like that. There's. Yeah, there's artists. We were talking about John Summer thing. There's all these things.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
We were given platinum wristbands. And so I was like, this sounds cool. Yeah, I don't really know. We'll see when we get there. It's basically like the artist version of. But you can buy these tickets. And I found. I'm not gonna say it, but I found out how much these tickets are. Like, it was crazy. I felt so grateful because, I mean, we were like. You were.
Brooke
I saw that you were in that section. Yeah. I thought that that was a really special pass because I. I mean, it seems like it was based on the.
Danielle
Like, well, it's special, but, like, you can buy it.
Brooke
That's crazy.
Danielle
It was so expensive, but it was definitely giving. Like, a lot of industry people, like, dads that, you know, their company got, like, company.
Brooke
The daughter is really passionate about it. And it's like, yeah, honestly, if I was like, stupid, rich, kind of a good spend of money, like, if you're like, kid is so into it and you're like, you know what? Like, that's such a lifetime making experience. True. You could do that. Like, my dream is to be able, like, do something like that for my kid one day.
Danielle
You know, it was really special and people did do that. But there were some very young girls, and I'm thinking, like, we were. Even Sabrina. Like, she's spicy.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Like, Sabrina Carpenter was amazing. I think, like, I have seen Sabrina Carpenter. Actually. This was my fourth time Sabrina. And I love it, though, because I listen to her every day, so it was fine. But these girls were so young, and I'm thinking, oh, my God.
Brooke
But then I think about it and I'm like, me at that age, though. Like, I didn't understand it. Like, is the thing. Like, I feel like I was singing, chanting Lady Gaga, but I truly had no idea, like, what it. Like, I. Words were just words. They weren't, like, lyrics that had meaning. You know what I mean?
Danielle
Yeah. No, for sure.
Brooke
But when you break it down and you hear the. The girl, I just look at the.
Danielle
Parents and I'm like, oh, my gosh.
Brooke
Yeah, it definitely is, like, makes you think.
Danielle
It makes you think. It makes me think about our parents when we were younger. Like, how much did they try to shield from us? Like, you can only do so much. Especially these girls. Like, they didn't have phones in their hands, though. So, like, I don't think they had phone. I was just like. But they were just bopping their head like, the Parents are bob. In their head. They're like vagina. Yeah. Yeah, it was.
Brooke
I'm trying to think of some like, Sabrina Carpenter lyrics that are like, dirty.
Danielle
But it's like she is stopped doing like juno positions.
Brooke
Like, oh, yeah, yeah, it was.
Danielle
I forget what she did. Like, that's how minute it was, comrade.
Brooke
I mean, camaraderie.
Danielle
Like, oh, yeah.
Brooke
Like, I feel like I wouldn't as a kid, I would 100 sing the wrong words and like, not understand what. I probably was 18 until I figured out what that meant. Like, you know what I mean? Yeah, I needed time to.
Danielle
You're so right. Like, honestly, they probably didn't even notice. They didn't even know what that word was.
Brooke
Totally. But the parents have to be okay with the fact that the kids are like, yeah, singing and chanting.
Danielle
There were babies there. But I guess they were. This girl that I met there, she was like an ACL pro and she was a listener, podcast follower. And she was like, you know, you're free under three. I was like, that's so like weightless work coated, you know?
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
It's just like slogan, you know?
Brooke
Do they wear the big headphones, the babies? Yeah, it's cute when they do that. So it's kind of like a family, I guess.
Danielle
But it's just like there is a not. Thank God for Club Magenta. Actually, if you're a T mobile member, like, you need to take cover in Club Agenda because it was so freaking hot.
Brooke
And that's AC or like hands or whatever. Okay, cool, cool. It's.
Danielle
But there was AC in this platinum area and free food and drinks. Ryan and I went to the bar.
Brooke
Love that.
Danielle
And I was like, ryan, I'm going to order a double. And they just give it to us. And we're like, how much is it? And she was like, oh, no, it's free. Oh my God. She probably thought we were crazy. She's like, you don't know what tickets you have.
Brooke
She's like, you paid for this.
Danielle

Brooke
It was.
Danielle
The access was crazy. I felt so, so grateful. Who else did we get to see? Luke Combs.
Brooke
Luke Combs. And he dropped some new music.
Danielle
He dropped.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
Good for you.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
I saw he dropped new music that day, which was really fun. He sang one of the songs, Ryan. And I swear, like, we made eye contact with him many times, especially Ryan. We were literally so close to Luke Combs that, like, in that area, like I said, like, I feel like a lot of people didn't really know who Luke was, which is so fine, like, whatever. But they didn't really know who he was. So me and Ryan are actually screaming the lyrics and Ryan's like, you know, as he does.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
And Luke, like fully. There's no way he didn't hear Ryan and like total him, you know.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
So that was crazy. Met so many girls in the goals really goes. Yeah. Austin, you know, I'm shocked, actually.
Brooke
I mean.
Danielle
No, really.
Brooke
I mean, I know we have listeners in Texas, but I. I guess, guess just. Yeah, I mean, I guess at festivals there's a lot of people. So. Yeah, you do meet like.
Danielle
Yeah, they're just like Texas girlies, I suppose. Oh, there were golf carts as part of the platinum tickets.
Brooke
Lovely. That's a great, great perk.
Danielle
God, it was so fun.
Brooke
Yeah, that's really fun.
Danielle
A blast and a half. To be able to ride around golf carts again felt very, very cool. They had football games on in one area, so at points Ryan could like go watch. That was really nice. Austin in general, like how they say, keep Austin weird. Like it really is weird. And like the coolest way, like, I.
Brooke
Don'T know much about. We went that one time very briefly.
Danielle
And I remember we were like, what does this mean, keep Austin? Yeah, I think it means again, I'm just saying this out of my booty. But like we were at a coffee shop and there was a guy, like, practicing DJing like 100.
Brooke
That's what it.
Danielle
Yeah. You know What?
Brooke
I mean, it's like a. Eclectic. Like, there's totally. It's a mixed bag.
Danielle
It was awesome.
Brooke
Yeah. There.
Danielle
I post this on my story. There was a doodle wearing a hat.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
I couldn't stop. I. I never really do this, but I just started laughing.
Brooke
Like I thought it was the cutest, funniest thing.
Danielle
Like, he had a baseball hat on and a little, like, jacket on that said SPF 30.
Brooke
And was his owner, like, in matching attire? No.
Danielle
Like, kind of. Yeah. Similar energy.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Like, they were very sun conscious, which is so great. I just. I feel like I'm very unfiltered today.
Brooke
Sun conscious. No, I. I could see people do say keep Austin weird, and I do because it's a lot of. I could be wrong, but, like, transplants. Right. Like, it's a lot of people from other cities that, like. I think so when you get the mixed bag together, it's a lot of, like, people who are maybe, like, some people are outdoorsy, some people are, like, artsy. Some people, like, totally very different interests. Like, random.
Danielle
Very random.
Brooke
Random.
Danielle
Random dancing.
Brooke
Like.
Danielle
Yeah, random dancing. Oh, new bit alert.
Brooke
Oh, I'm ready.
Danielle
I don't know. Might be. It had to be their moment.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
But Ryan and I get fixations just like you and I about, like, certain things. Whatever. So it was Saturday morning, I think, and. No, it's definitely Sunday morning because we were leaving. We didn't stay for the Sunday day because Ryan had work. But I really. I'm sad because we missed T pain, which would. And John summit.
Brooke
I saw that. I knew people said, best set ever.
Danielle
Really? Damn.
Brooke
But I don't know if that would have been a good. I don't. You need to ease.
Danielle
I would have liked to have been with you for John.
Brooke
Yes. Yes. And I don't know. Cheating if Ryan would have made it.
Danielle
Maybe not. Who knows? But so Sunday morning, we, like, had to get up, go to the airport. Airport. We're tired. You know, we'd been up late the night before, whatever. And I was like. The only thing I can think to do is just get up and open the blinds. You know, the classic sun beaming in. So I don't know, Brian was like, I thought dead asleep. I opened the blinds, you know, sunbursting in, and Ryan goes, holy cow.
Brooke
Holy cow. Was. And he was being dead serious.
Danielle
He was, like, kind of joking, but now it's just like, we can't stop saying holy cow. You have to say, like. Like, holy cow. Like, holy.
Brooke
Holy cow.
Danielle
Okay, new bit alert. Like, we can't stop because it's just like you think someone's gonna be like, holy, you know?
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Holy cow.
Brooke
I'm glad that it's like, I, I that you guys have like, your bits. Like, that's very cute. I, I'm gonna get there with it. Holy cow.
Danielle
Yeah, like, holy cow.
Brooke
I get that. It's like how you say something like, funny and then. Yes, it's literally my, my verbal stem of the week. Like, I get that. Like, no, it actually, I totally have that. I speak well, you know, I fixate on something or like a tick tock sound or something. I. Oh my God. I was just doing it before I got.
Danielle
You even had a bit in a second. At least with me, I swear I.
Brooke
Just had one and I like legit couldn't stop doing it. And it was like to a point that it was like, it's not even funny anymore. Like, it's not. You're, you're using it in a way that's not even like, applicable.
Danielle
I can't believe. I can't think of it though, because I feel like I know that like literally all of the time. We definitely all the time we ran.
Brooke
Into that to the ground. No, there was one on, like, like, I've been doing the tick tock audios. Like, I'll be like, oh, yeah. Oh. I've been like, really, like, so random. There's one of Trump going the radical left. And I've just been like, randomly going the radical left. Like, just out of nowhere. Like, I'll be like, cooking dinner. Like, no radical left.
Danielle
Like, like just for fun.
Brooke
No, that's like the best just on my mind.
Danielle
It kind of is like a stimmy, I guess.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
You just have to say it.
Brooke
I have to say it's similar to like, I saw this thing. It was like me, like my, I've got my, my tick tock verbal stem of the week. No big light, like no loud, like loud bangs. I'm like, what? Literally me.
Danielle
I get over literally. Yeah, no, you're so right. I can't stop. And I think that this was influenced by you. I cannot stop when I do text. Doing the squiggly line after it.
Brooke
Oh, it's such a good.
Danielle
It really does hit though.
Brooke
It does. Because you can't really read tones when you do the squiggly. It's like, I'm Jo.
Danielle
Like, yeah, like it's a bit. Maybe I'll wear my shoes.
Brooke
Yes, yes, yes.
Danielle
Like, you just have to add the squiggles. It adds like a Little, like, kick. Fun, like, flair.
Brooke
Like a little, like, the symbol.
Danielle
Yeah, it's like, on my way. Like. Yeah, but you only do that if you're trying to say it in that way.
Brooke
Exactly, exactly.
Danielle
That one's fun. I really hope that one doesn't go away.
Brooke
That's something you have to use with someone that you know, like, you know pretty well. Like, I feel like I don't introduce the swiggly until we're, like, really deep in the friendship.
Danielle
Oh, my God.
Brooke
Totally.
Danielle
Like, yeah, like, my. Our parents would not understand.
Brooke
Never ever. Trying to explain any sort of, like, text, sort of, like, language or to my parents is literally, like, it's a completely different language. Like, totally. Do you ever see a trend or something and be like, imagine explaining this to my parents. Like, there's so much I see online on, like, Snapchat or something. Like, explaining this to my parents would literally require, like, a thesis statement. Like, five paragraphs. Like, yes. Like, I would have to. Like, the dissertation.
Danielle
Yes. Like, I was actually thinking that today, watching this new thing that has come about where people hold on to street lights and sing Maui Wowie. Have you seen this?
Brooke
No. No, that hasn't hit my fade. My algorithm.
Danielle
Now you're gonna see it. People just like.
Brooke
Like, Maui Wow. I don't know.
Danielle
It's a song and they just say Maui Wowie. And I'm like, try explaining this. Like, I don't even understand it. It's just like, Lauren Wolf. I. I saw her do it today. She just was hanging on to, like, you know, the pedestrian signs. You can.
Brooke
Can.
Danielle
It's. I don't know. Maybe it's a flex that you can lift yourself up and then you just sing this Maui Wowie song. But, like, what?
Brooke
See, like, it's just random.
Danielle
Oh. I have a question for you. Maybe this is something you can explain to me. Six, seven. What is this?
Brooke
Six, seven. You have.
Danielle
This hasn't come on your.
Brooke
No. How's it. Tell me how it's used.
Danielle
Six, seven. I don't know what that means.
Brooke
No, I don't know. Honestly, I had a kind of offline weekend, so. You miss one weekend?
Danielle
No, this is, like, been a thing. Because Kim Kardashian was talking about it. She was like, my kids think it's weird that I do that.
Brooke
That.
Danielle
My friend, that's a teacher was saying her students do this.
Brooke
I'm not familiar with this.
Danielle
Okay.
Brooke
Okay, so we're gonna have to.
Danielle
We need people to comment down and.
Brooke
Get back to us on that.
Danielle
No, that one. Like, I I've tried. I don't understand it, so. But yeah, you've been offline.
Brooke
Holy cow.
Danielle
Holy cow.
Brooke
Like, I'm saying the wrong cadence. I need to match her. What is it?
Danielle
Holy cow.
Brooke
Holy cow.
Danielle
Yeah, it's like. It's like if Ryan's like, dude, like, I'm so hungry. Holy cow. I am so sorry. We gotta start cooking. You know, I don't know.
Brooke
Oh, that's great. I'm glad that you guys have. Have your bits and that living together is going well. You don't want to kill each other. You guys are really doing well. No.
Danielle
Yeah. But you know what? I'm getting gross. I think, like, I think he's seeing my gross side.
Brooke
Yeah, that happens.
Danielle
But this is like so tmi, honest. It's not that.
Brooke
No.
Danielle
Something that happens to me at night. I don't know why. As soon as we get into bed and specifically I lay on my left side, like, I just can't stop burping.
Brooke
At least you're self aware. That's. Nobody's weird.
Danielle
Yeah, it's like Ryan's like, at this point, it's like you get in bed and it's just like burp activated. How many big gross belches. They're just like little like bubble. I don't know. Maybe I should go to the doctor for it.
Brooke
I don't know. Well, you drink a lot of sparkling water and stuff, so that.
Danielle
Yeah, I'm trying to cut back. Oh, my God.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
We didn't do our panic. Well. Can I just tell you a little update?
Brooke
Yeah, go for it.
Danielle
Well, no, it's. It's my panic, so never mind. We need to get into your Florida trip.
Brooke
Okay. My Florida trip. Yeah.
Danielle
Anyways, I don't know. I'm burping.
Brooke
Is there anything else about acl Austin? Wait, so who did you see? Luke comes.
Danielle
Honestly, there was Carpenter. Oh, role model. And he brought on Hillary, which was fun. Did not see Olivia Dean because she was really early on in the day. They get you Dochi was. She's from Tampa.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
And she kept shouting out like, Tampa references. Her High School 813 area. Like, so fun. She was great. Sabrina Carpenter. And I really do feel like that's it. Oh, Empire of the sun. You know, fun vibes.
Brooke
What do they do their music? What would you. No, it's. Yeah, like role model. I don't really know too much of it.
Danielle
I really only know Sally and like, one other song.
Brooke
Yeah, that he does.
Danielle
But he was a great, great performer. So very, very fun. Thank You, Austin.
Brooke
You've been great.
Danielle
You've been great. This was my third time to Austin this year, so I think I'm done for the year. Yeah, because we had, like, we had live show there this year, Right. Earlier this year, I think.
Brooke
Or was it this year?
Danielle
Yes, it was.
Brooke
Oh, my God, stop.
Danielle
Or was it not? Because I remember the dress I wore. I don't know. Wait, did we. Or did we just do Houston and Dallas this year?
Brooke
We just did Houston. Dallas. We did Austin maybe two years ago. Yeah, that sense.
Danielle
Only been to Austin twice this year.
Brooke
Okay, but you went with girl. Girls trip and then. Yes. And did you go for the Dogs game last year?
Danielle
No, I actually didn't.
Brooke
Yeah. Oh, you almost did or something.
Danielle
Almost did, yes. Maybe that's what it is. So while I was acln.ac. you were Florida Floridian.
Brooke
Floridian, yeah. No, it was really great. It was a really. I feel like I was just saying, Bianca, that Ben and I, since our parents both live, like, local, like, we only spend, like, like, two or three days at a time with them.
Danielle
Really?
Brooke
Or, like, we go to dinner. Like, his parents are coming in the city on Friday. We're getting dinner. Like, it's very much.
Danielle
Yeah, we've talked.
Brooke
Yes. Like, the frequency is high, but the, like, length of time is low.
Danielle
Right. Whereas, like, when my parents come, it's like, a week and they're staying with me.
Brooke
Exactly. Exactly. So this was really one of our first times for a prolonged period of time that, like, he spent with my family more than, like, two nights over Christmas or something like that. Like, this was really many nights in Florida, and, like, so chill. Really, like, very limited itinerary. And it was just, like, really good bonding. Like, many laughs in the car. We got to the point, like, where my dad and I were, like, playing. I don't say pranks, but, like, you know, we're making fun of Ben. Like, my dad and I are ganging up against him. I was like, you're part of the family.
Danielle
Yeah, that's the best feeling when you're.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Just, like, so comfortable. And you could just do that.
Brooke
Yes, There was definitely a lot of that. And, like, honestly, having limited plans, I think helped a lot. Like, just keeping the itinerary very chill, in which normally when I go there, I rot. Like, I feel like that's, like, it's not a place where I'm productive, per se. Like, I know I. I read. I, like, go to the gym or, like, go for a walk and stuff, but it's very, like, it's like, I want to do these things. Dutch bros every morning. It's like, I want to do these things throughout the day, but, like, I don't care what time they're done.
Danielle
No.
Brooke
Oh, and it was raining a lot, so we had to, like, chase the rain a little bit, you know, it's like. Oh, like, we went to Winter Park. Have you ever been to it?
Danielle
So nice.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
I saw. I did not know. There's a hill.
Brooke
There's a hillstone, and it's delicious. Yes. But it was downpouring that day, so we did not get to, like, I had this whole day planned of we're gonna walk around and, like, going to the shops.
Danielle
And you were meant to all sit inside and chat.
Brooke
Yeah, we had a lot of chat. Yeah, a lot of good chat. We went to Universal one day, which was so fun. It was so fun.
Danielle
Ben must have loved it.
Brooke
He. No, honestly, like, made me, like, like, emotional at one point, like, because he was so appreciative and just, like, really enjoyed it so much. Like, he. In the Super Nintendo World, specifically because he's, like, a video game kid. Like, he was like, oh, my God, this is so cool. Like, it's so accurate. Even, like, that's so accurate. And I was like, I want to cry because, like, I feel like you're, like, healing your inner child. Like, I feel you, like, looking at this right now. I'm like, oh, my God.
Danielle
To be able to, like, do that with him is, like, so special.
Brooke
Yeah. Really nice. And with my whole family. Well, my brother wasn't there, actually, I should say. Sorry. So just my parents.
Danielle
It was a double date trip.
Brooke
Yeah, it really was. It really was. It was really just good vibes. And then I really just, like, wasn't on my phone for a lot of it. It was, like, really, like, phone in the other room. Just because, like, not that I felt like I had to be the social director, but, like, I'm the connector of the people, right? Like, it's like, here's my boyfriend. And then, like, I was my parents, so it's like, if anybody's the commonality, it's me. Exactly. Like, so I was like, I'm just gonna, like, not be on my phone.
Danielle
No, you definitely weren't. I texted Brooke. I had, like, a couple random things I would text her. And then I looked. I was like. Her last two responses to me were OMG and omg. To be fair, you were, like, resting. And, like, you said you didn't have your phone.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Danielle
But it Was.
Brooke
No, the first one. I. And it was like, one of the. I think I woke up to one of them. So I was like, oh, yeah.
Danielle
When you're like reply.
Brooke
And I was like, oh, I figured, like, the convo would keep going or something. Yeah.
Danielle
No, no. It was just so funny. I was just texting Brooke. Like, I had a dream that this happened. Like, I don't know. I just had to tell you that.
Brooke
Vivid dream. Yeah.
Danielle
It's fun to do.
Brooke
Life is a dream. I don't think I have anything else really specific about it except for the fact that it was just. Just ever.
Danielle
That new phone case.
Brooke
Oh, cool. It kind of gives candy cane.
Danielle
It's really cool. Oh, and you have the new iPhone.
Brooke
We didn't even talk about it, so I've come. I needed time to marinate in my decision, and I do believe the camera is significantly better.
Danielle
Great to hear. So I'll get one.
Brooke
Yep.
Danielle
I needed time, Brook. I said, let me know because that's.
Brooke
Usually what we got it for.
Danielle
Like, I would say, as a content.
Brooke
Creator, like, because the phones are good. Like, the phones these days, like, if you have, like, I would say, like a 12 on.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
An iPhone 12 on. Like, it's a good phone. Like, you're good.
Danielle
Thousand percent. It's like, you don't need to get it every year.
Brooke
No. And I feel lucky that, like, I.
Danielle
Can get it every year.
Brooke
But, like, it's also. I said it's like 90 of the content we create is from this device.
Danielle
So 1000% even. Like our YouTube, we use our cameras, but we don't like vlogging on our phone so much. And you showed me that feature where you can. You can horizontally vlog while.
Brooke
It's so cool.
Danielle
That's cool. I hate holding my phone horizontal. Like, my hands can't fit it because it's so big.
Brooke
I know. And I feel like it's such an obvious thing versus, like, when you do it like that, it's, like, more subtle.
Danielle
Yeah. You can be, like, FaceTiming.
Brooke
Yeah. It's very, very, very chill. The camera's good. It's a. It's a good camera. It's a good. You're looking for a good camera, I.
Danielle
Would say, for the review.
Brooke
Yeah. That's Brooks comprehensive review. I don't really know if I've seen any other besides the camera. Like, that's really the only.
Danielle
Is it really just blue and orange are the available colors.
Brooke
And silver. I have silver.
Danielle
Oh, you have silver?
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Oh, okay.
Brooke
This is. Yeah. And then orange and blue. Yeah. So I got silver.
Danielle
Silver.
Brooke
Because I, I actually do like the orange, but I just feel like in a month I'm gonna be like, yeah, it's not for me.
Danielle
Well, I'm thinking selfishly for like mirror selfies. Oh, they are.
Brooke
I did see someone on the plane with the orange phone and a brown case and I liked that color combination.
Danielle
It looked very Hermes.
Brooke
It looked really good. So I was like, yeah, yeah.
Danielle
Okay.
Brooke
Yeah. My health is becoming increasingly more and more important to me. I'm just realizing that, like, I, I only get one body and I gotta take care of it. I feel like I can't get like a good comprehensive look at my health, at least until I found function. Okay. Function is the only health platform that gives me data that people truly never get and the insights to start doing something about it. Because with function, you get access to tests that are going to test over a hundred biomarkers, from hormones to toxins to markers of heart health, inflammation and stress. And they give you amazing insights on like your immune system, which is obviously supposed to protect you, but sometimes it misfires. So sometimes that's what's causing inflammation and you don't know, like you have pain and fatigue and you're like, oh, what's going on inside of me? And it's so hard to find a diagnosis. But with function, the good news is that you can test and track early indicators so you can like see relevant biomarkers basically. So it's going to do like a comprehensive test of, of everything that's going on inside of you. Now obviously I'm not a doctor, but like, I know that this stuff is very crucial because routine checkups rarely include markers like this and autoimmune issues are often missed until symptoms become super severe. So you don't want to wait long to take action. Function is going to give you access to these advanced tests so you can detect these imbalances early. I'm so excited. I'm going for my function test this week. Actually. This is like truly something I've been wanting to do for a while and I love that it's like all in one platform. So easy to read and I will keep you guys updated. But like, I can't wait to have all these insights so you can learn more and join. Using our link, function is a near 360 view to see what's happening in your body. And our first 1000 listeners are going to get a hundred dollar credit towards their membership. Visit functionhealth.com gals or use gift code GALS100 to sign up to own your health. I have to tell you guys about a new product that I'm just loving so, so much in my routine. I use some water to kind of activate it, get it going. And I am cleansing my skin while still keeping it moisture moisturize. That is key for me. I don't want to strip my skin. I want to keep it, you know, feeling really, really good. And this is truly it. Discover the butter way to cleanse with Origins Youth Topia Apple Butter Cleansing Balm. Danielle
I see. So that was my, my hot tip.
Brooke
Hot tip of the day.
Danielle
Yeah, Brooks hot tip.
Brooke
I had another question about acl. Did you see other content people? Like were there, were there a lot of. I feel like I didn't really see that many people like post or do so much about like.
Danielle
No, now that you say. I mean obviously I was on the trip with a few others but it.
Brooke
Wasn'T like a big, like a big scene.
Danielle
No, I don't even. Oh, I. Yes, I did see a few New York City got it peeps like Isabel Graff and those girls, but that was it. Just that one group I think.
Brooke
I wasn't sure. I really feel like I didn't see like too, too much about it.
Danielle
No, I don't think it's typically a big influencer thing.
Brooke
I don't know.
Danielle
But then every year like things just become more and more like it really does, you know the Kentucky Derby and like all these things.
Brooke
They like football games even.
Danielle
Yeah, the Ryder cup stuff.
Brooke
What the. Yeah, the Ryder Cup.
Danielle
Crazy. It's actually so crazy. My mom's boyfriend literally called that like last year. He was like, you and Ryan, it's gonna be like near New York. You guys gotta go. Like, yeah, yeah. Like I don't even know. And then I see what he was saying. It was definitely a place to be.
Brooke
It's in like literally the town where my uncle and aunt live. And apparently the houses there were renting. Like you could have rented out like your own house.
Danielle
Oh, for like good money.
Brooke
Insane. Because it was all these people coming from all over and there's like not a lot of hotels on Long Island. Like, it's a very. Yeah, it's like a very. I mean, there's like little hotels, like airport hotels, but not, not enough to house that many people.
Danielle
Yeah. Oh my gosh. Needed to do. Wow. Your aunt, uncle could have made some.
Brooke
I know. No, people renting out their driveways and stuff.
Danielle
Like it was like their driveways for what?
Brooke
Oh, parking. People are like, you know, 100 to park in my driveway. I'm like, honestly, I love the entrepreneurship. Like, that is so smart.
Danielle
I guess that makes sense. Like for master the masters, people would stay in Athens because even like I think that's still like two hours away or something. But yes, it would get crowded. So they had to. That's so interesting.
Brooke
Yeah, I want to go to the Masters just so I can have a pimento cheat sandwich much from there because I heard that they're really good.
Danielle
Yeah. Yeah. And they like don't inflate the prices, I think.
Brooke
Yeah, they're like a dollar or like $2 or something. Yeah.
Danielle
I want to go the Masters for the merch. Because you can only buy the merch.
Brooke
I, I, I feel like golf might be a little boring, but I want to experience an in person golf thing at some point.
Danielle
Definitely. I don't know what it would be, but I think it's fun. You can the little golf clubs.
Brooke
I don't know.
Danielle
I don't know much.
Brooke
The Ryder Cup. I know get got rowdy. I, I know I hear, but I don't, I if don't associate golf with rowdiness like that.
Danielle
I feel like you have to be quiet. So who knows?
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Who knows? Panic of the week.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Unless there's anything else from Florida. No, I, did you bring your wand?
Brooke
I brought my wand. I brought, I brought my like power up band for Super Nintendo.
Danielle
Oh, cool.
Brooke
I, I, so I came with like my bag of tricks. Like I literally had so much. I was the person with the bag, like in the family, you know.
Danielle
Oh, yeah.
Brooke
And I had the bag, and it was. Yeah. But it was convenient to be a bag holder.
Danielle
Did your wand, like, fit in your bag?
Brooke
Bag.
Danielle
Nice. Did you. I might have sent this tick tock to you a while ago. There's, like, a store in one of the worlds there where you get, like, you buy something and they unlock it for you there. Does that, like.
Brooke
Oh, did you do that? Yes. I didn't see. And I didn't see that, but I think I. I know what you were saying. Like, there was, like, really crying about their, like, reaction to it or something.
Danielle
Yeah. Like, you're literally the cashiers just opening it for you.
Brooke
People were, like, freaking, freaking out. No, there's definitely, like, people get so into it, but it's honestly, like, endearing most of the time. I would say, like, it is. The funniest thing is that everyone's running around with the wands. And like, my dad actually point out, he's like, it could kind of be a weapon. Like, everyone just has these giant sticks, and we're like, it's just so funny. Like, you're just going on a roll. Like, people have this big stick.
Danielle
They just hope and pray that, yeah, no one better ruin that.
Brooke
No, it's. It's for fun. But, like, it's just funny that it's.
Danielle
They do let you guys.
Brooke
Everybody's just running around with a big stick.
Danielle
Like, that's so true. I also saw this TikTok today. Nothing to do with Universal, but it's very us. I sent it to you, like, right before I got here. Like, if you're not gonna be the type of friend that we can interrupt each other, like, I just don't want it. And I was like, that's so us.
Brooke
Totally.
Danielle
And, like, when people get upset that we're talking over each other, I'm like, that's our friendship.
Brooke
Thank you.
Danielle
I just had.
Brooke
No, I appreciate you clarifying that, because I completely agree. And I. I thought it was good. I did see something like this, and it's like, well, we circle back to the original point. Point.
Danielle
Yeah, like, we'll get there. It's just. I might just need to. Yeah, I think that's literally the one I sent you. She was like, you know, we'll get back, but I do need to do a couple journeys before we get back.
Brooke
Exactly. Exactly.
Danielle
You have to hit your points because you don't want to forget. Sometimes I'll try and be like, hold it, Danielle. But then you'll forget it.
Brooke
Exactly. And then you're not actively listening because then you. You're holding in your own thought.
Danielle
Yeah, I agree. Or I could just sit here instead of saying, I agree. I could just sit here and listen to you. But it's so hard to do it.
Brooke
We're at active listeners.
Danielle
We're active listeners.
Brooke
God. Hey. God. Hey, look, look. What are you panicked about?
Danielle
Panic. Okay. I went to the orthodontist today.
Brooke
Oh, my God. You've been like on a journey of teeth. What is going on? Wait. Because you found it. Oh, because your tooth not broke. What happened?
Danielle
Yes, my tooth broke. My filling fell out. So then I went to a dentist. I finally found a dentist in New York. Just getting all my appointments done. It's that time of year I'm doing the guy. I always do it around my birthday. So it's just everything good and which I shouldn't do because then I associate my birthday with having to like go, I do it in the new year. Yeah, I know you do that. Yeah.
Brooke
Because it's kind of like nice. Boom, boom, boom. Kind of sucks. So it's like.
Danielle
Yeah, definitely sucks.
Brooke
For sure.
Danielle
Sucks. Went to the. As an honest because I went in. Okay. I've been thinking about doing Invisalign for a long time because I just stopped wearing my retainer. If you are newly. No one's really probably newly done with braces, but. Or if you're newly done with. Just wear the freaking retainer. Just wear it. I regret it. I stopped like halfway through college because of like going out. I'd get home and I, you know, then it got too tight, you know, you guys know the story. So I've been wanting to do it because my bottom teeth have moved so much. Like, I notice it. Like, I notice it when I'm watching videos back. Like, I see my tooth on the bottom sticking out and I'm like, oh, my God, so embarrassing. So I. I wanted to get Invisalign and then I was like, oh, I don't really want to do that because they. They put things on your teeth and you can see them. Even if you take the trays out, there's like little dots. Have you seen these on your teeth? And normally it wouldn't be an issue, but I'm just like on camera so much. Whatever. So then I came across a tick tock about in braces. Have you heard of these?
Brooke
No.
Danielle
They're like interior braces. So they're on the inside of your mouth. So they're like. They are real abrasives, but they're just on the inside. And so I honestly made this appointment today, like, a consultation, really wanting to do that. I was like, I. I kind of convinced myself out of Invisalign.
Brooke
Got it.
Danielle
I get there. We're talking, talking, talking, and they're kind of trying to convince me to do Invisalign. And I was kind of getting annoyed. I'm like, no, I want the in braces. And then they showed me the Invisalign and the stickers. I was like, I really don't want you to, like, see those. Like, so finally, I go, I'm an influencer. I'm on camera all the time. Like, I was all panicked.
Brooke
They were like, okay, all right.
Danielle
Well, then they were like, oh, well, then you really shouldn't do the in braces. I was like, what do you mean?
Brooke
Why? Because you.
Danielle
Because they said. Yes. They said, your voice will sound different.
Brooke
And I was like, like, you get speech impediment.
Danielle
Yeah. They were like, it's not lispy, but, like, kind of like, you can see that because the braces are on the inside, and your tongue's touching, and it scratches up your tongue. They also said you can't eat baby carrots.
Brooke
Oh, Anything hard.
Danielle
Yeah. Apples you could eat, but you have to chop. And I was like, you know, I don't really want to live like that, actually.
Brooke
No, like, with the. That's, like, literally going back to braces. Like, I know. The Invisalign you just take out when you eat, right?
Danielle
Yeah, you just take it out when you. Which I didn't like the idea of, actually, because it's just not a vibe. But, like.
Brooke
But, like, if you're going out to dinner for two hours, you could just leave it at home.
Danielle
Yeah, they. They said. They were like, look, like, you know.
Brooke
How long do you have to wear the. How long are you wearing the Invis line?
Danielle
You're supposed to wear it, I think, like, 23 hours during the day.
Brooke
But that just. I said, I mean, a month. Sorry, did they say how many months?
Danielle
Oh, for me specifically, they said a year. I was hoping for, like, six months, but a year. But I. So my panic was that they. I'm gonna do Invisalign. That they convinced me because I don't want to sound different. They were like, I'm actually so happy you said that, because you will not be happy. Your voice will sound different. Like, they were like, we have lawyers that were. I did embrace. And then they were so embarrassed to, like, go talk in court. No, I was like, like, wow. And. And I Believe them. Because the guy said, look, like Embrace is actually more expensive. So they weren't trying to convince. I thought Invisalign was more expensive. So they're trying to convince me, you know, so. So your girl is going to get Invisalign. November, mid November. What's happened? I did a scan. Oh, my God. Technology is amazing now. Remember when you had braces? Right?
Brooke
Yeah. No, when you used to mold. I know. And now it's amazing. It's literally like they just pan your face. I know.
Danielle
It's amazing.
Brooke
It's insane.
Danielle
I couldn't believe my eyes. So technology is amazing. And how did you figure out what.
Brooke
Orthodontist to go to? You just had a recommendation. Wow, you're really just trusting Google.
Danielle
I'm ripping Google. I am ripping Google these days.
Brooke
That's crazy.
Danielle
My new orthodontist, he reminds me so much of Adam Harrison though. Like, I felt so comfortable.
Brooke
Oh my gosh. You felt safe.
Danielle
Like, he had the biggest, best smile in the world. He's from West Palm. We talked about Florida. Like, I love.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
So I'm very excited, but nervous. And also just like so much admin. Like the. I already take so many supplements and I have all these routines of other things. So then to have to, you know, do that. But yeah, I just really thought I was going to do the embraces. So if any of you guys have done in brace, like let me know down below. I still. Actually, I already paid my down payment from Visaline, but.
Brooke
Oh. And it's probably a pretty penny.
Danielle
Pretty penny. But great payment plan. Like, they didn't even offer me to like pay it up front.
Brooke
Yeah, they were like, you're gonna pay this much today? This much in three months? This month?
Danielle
Yeah, it's really like broken up over. I mean, I'll even say it. YOLO. It's like 1500 down payment. And then I think it's like 400amonth.
Brooke
Okay. I mean it.
Danielle
Which is orthodontics.
Brooke
Do you have any. You have no orthodontic insurance? Insurance.
Danielle
But they gave me a discount because I didn't have insurance. 700 off. Because they feel bad for me, basically.
Brooke
Like, no insurance.
Danielle
I really am the perfect person to have dental insurance because I'm just there all the time.
Brooke
Yeah. I feel like you would have that.
Danielle
I know, but I don't.
Brooke
Orthodontic insurance is even more. And I remember like when I got braces and stuff as a kid, even with the insurance, I remember like, it must have been like five times the cost of That I don't know what. The price has come down over time because the technology gets better.
Danielle
So true.
Brooke
And I remember my parents, like, bringing me to get my braces and being like, what? Like, they would sit in the back room and my parents were like, it's that much.
Danielle
I remember being like, please. It was definitely like a conversation. So very grateful that I could just do that for myself. But it was.
Brooke
No, that's. That's great stuff. But. But it's. I mean, I would equate it to, like. I can't even equate it to plastic surgery because that's like more vain. Like, this is like somewhat health adjacent. I would say.
Danielle
Yeah, definitely.
Brooke
They.
Danielle
Oh, but then she got me. I'm sorry. I'm talking about my teeth.
Brooke
No, it's okay. This is relatable. I think a lot of people in their later 20s actually, like, I know my brother's kind of interested in his life.
Danielle
So is my brother.
Brooke
Yeah, there we go.
Danielle
So, people retainer. Why are your teeth so perfect?
Brooke
I work for a really long time. I probably stopped about two years ago. And then I actually did get a new mold. Mold made of my retainer from my dentist. Wow. I paid like a couple hundred for it because I was like, I think they shifted a little bit, but I don't want them to shift anymore. And I haven't been wearing it. But I do have like the new mold that, like, maybe you should. I don't. I know you're. This story is making me want to. Because I don't want to do that. I don't. No.
Danielle
It's seriously, like, this is your reminder. Like, you should like. I can't believe I'm like, back at the orthodontist. Like, there's kids there. Like, it's literally bringing me back to when I was younger. But. But I forgot I was gonna say, I don't know, just orthodox. Oh. Then we, like, figured out that I have this really funny tooth in the back. They started laughing. She was like, I've never. There was a guy ago, never laughed harder at a tooth before. I was like, what do you mean? I have like this baby sized molar. They thought it was the funniest thing. They were like, I've literally never seen this in my life.
Brooke
Did you get your wisdom teeth removed?
Danielle
Well then they were like, is this your wisdom tooth? I was like, I don't know. I've never had wisdom teeth removed. It's just this little. And they're like, it like, they were like, maybe this is a Wisdom tooth. I'm like, shouldn't, you know? But they're like, maybe it's a wisdom tooth, but, like, it just hasn't. It's weird it hasn't shown you yet. Yeah.
Brooke
Oh, that's interesting. So you only have to do on the bottom, though. You have to do the top.
Danielle
Oh, that's what I was gonna say. No, I gotta do on the top, too.
Brooke
Why?
Danielle
Because I know I kind of, like, wanted to fight back and be like, I mean, I guess next time I go. But it's like, the orthodontist is not gonna do that because obviously, like, it could be improved my top, like, if. If, like, they're like, if you're gonna do it, like, you might as well do it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And so they also want to fix my bite, which is not that bad. They want me to wear rubber bands. I looked at them in the eyes, I said, I'm gonna be so honest with you. I'm not gonna wear rubber bands. They were like, what about at night? And I said, sure, I'm not gonna do that.
Brooke
Like, so you have to put it on.
Danielle
Yeah. Do you remember, did you ever have rubber bands?
Brooke
Yeah, of course.
Danielle
You think, me, I'm not doing rubber bands.
Brooke
What? Does it work better if you do the rubber bands?
Danielle
They just said, it will then improve your bite. There they were like, again, like, like, if you're gonna do it. And I was like, will it be an issue if I don't? They were like, no, but, like, don't you just want to, like, get it all out of.
Brooke
Yeah, I see what they like, and I do understand that argument of, like, just let it suck for, like, six months or whatever it is. And, like, be like, oh, this me.
Danielle
During fashion week, like, fixing my rubber bands. I, I.
Brooke
You have to take them out every day. I forget the rubber band.
Danielle
Forgetting.
Brooke
I remember having a big bag of rubber bands, though.
Danielle
Yeah. I don't remember how often doing it, though, do you?
Brooke
I remember, like, if I ate or something, they would, like, snap. And then I would be like, I'm definitely. Oh, my God. There's probably so many rubber bands in my stomach like that, Right? Because, like, those are my forever chemicals. My microplastics are literally just the rubber bands from my braces.
Danielle
My forever gum.
Brooke
Yes. That's really. It's a whole section of my stomach, probably.
Danielle
Yeah. Or like, when you would swallow gum and it's like, that won't digest for seven years. Oh, yeah.
Brooke
Thing.
Danielle
I don't know. So catch me rubber band it up. Now.
Brooke
Oh, I'm really proud of you. That's, that's a big, big adult. I feel like that's something that's on a lot of people's list. Like they're like, ah, like I want to get a misaligner, I want to fix my teeth. But like, once again, people push it off to do the. Mostly the aesthetics. So I'm proud of you for like.
Danielle
Yeah, yeah, it's for me, it is for the aesthetics.
Brooke
It's for the improvement of it. I feel like people aren't willing to go through that period of time.
Danielle
Right.
Brooke
You know what I'm saying?
Danielle
Oh, the aesthetics. Yeah. No, like I'm dealing with it with.
Brooke
Like, I feel like people are like, ah, like I don't really want to do that right now. I'll do it in another year or two.
Danielle
Like totally. And I definitely did. And now it's just this one tooth. You guys just moving further and further up. And I keep noticing it and it's. And I do want to get married one day. And like, not that when I smile, like you don't see it. It's just if I open my mouth, which I open my mouth all the time, literally.
Brooke
No, that's. And hey, hey, look. I think teeth are a big thing. Like, I think that that's like important to stay on top of.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
So catch me for your biggest, brightest smile.
Brooke
That's awesome.
Danielle
What is your panic of the week? I'm sweating after that.
Brooke
No dental insurance. Something that my mom always said is that you really could be wearing like the most perfect, amazing outfit, but if you are not wearing the right bra, like it doesn't even matter. Like it. Everything has to start with the good foundations no matter what your bra size is. I, I personally have a larger chest, so I. This is a very personal issue to me. Me and skims has truly revolutionized like the way that I look at bras. I have to tell you guys, like, skims is it okay? And when you want to think about wearing the right bra for every outfit, the Skims ultimate bra is one of my favorites for those moments when I want to feel confident and supported. And it actually is a push up bra, which is crazy for me saying that because I, I have a D cup, I have like big boobs. So I was always like, I don't need a push up bra. But I'm telling you, with the right outfit, like it just lifts, it supports, it really is that girl. Especially the strapless push up bra. The Skims ultimate strapless push up bra is one of my go to's, especially when I'm like going to weddings or like bigger events and I'm wearing like, you know, like a cute strapless gown or even just day to day. Like, I want to feel lifted, I want to feel supported and I want everything to just like look good. And I feel like when we think of push up bra once again, like, for me, I was thinking like, oh my God, it's gonna be like so crazy. Whatever. No, it just has like the perfect amount of lift things. Looking good. I'll tell you that. I've never received so many compliments on my chest than when I'm wearing the Skims ultimate push up bra. So you can shop the Skims ultimate bra collection and more@skims.com and if you guys could please, after you place your order, be sure to let them know that we sent you. Brooke
What did I. Well, I got. I kind of like got sick though. Like, last little, like leg of my trip. I really noticed it like the last, last. When I woke up the last day, I was like, oh, I, like, really don't feel well. But I was like, whatever, like, I can get home. And like, I got home and then I woke up with. I've never had this pain in my entire life. Like, okay, I feel like people talk about like, sinus pain, right? Like, they're like, oh, like sinus pain.
Danielle
And I'm like, sinus pressure.
Brooke
All right. Like, I guess I. My nose is stuffy. Like, whatever. I have never had. I don't want to say excruciating because that's like dramatic, but pain to the point of, like, when I was sleeping on my side, like, Like I felt it sinus prep pain throughout. And I almost had to, like. I asked Ben, I was like, why does it hurt, like, down here? Like into my cheek? And he was like, oh, that's your blah, blah, blah. Like, it's like another part of your sinus? Because it hurt in my entire cheeks.
Danielle
Oh.
Brooke
And I've just never experienced that.
Danielle
So now were you like freaking out? Like, what's going on with me?
Brooke
Yeah, I was like my. And my jaws clenched and like whatever. Yeah. So. But you just take a decongestion and you're good. Yeah, I feel like it. I mean it does the best that it can.
Danielle
That's so interesting. I've had that happen actually, when I was like stuffed up that my teeth, the back of my teeth hurt. Back to teeth. Like something. I guess there's like a sinus.
Brooke
No, that 100. It must be it because I was like, I don't know what's happening to me right now.
Danielle
That's really scary. Did you think you were like allergic to something or. No, like it wasn't that kind of.
Brooke
No, it wasn't that. It was, it was more so like, oh, is this more serious than like am I having like non allergic reaction? Like, am I gonna blow? Yeah, like is it it more serious than I'm thinking? Because it was like new pain. You know when you have a new pain and you're like, I don't know this, I'm not familiar with this pain. Yeah.
Danielle
Yes. You're like, okay, I know that like random sharp shooting pain I feel in my butthole, but like those really specific. Wait, I've seen tick tocks about this. No.
Brooke
Is that. No.
Danielle
Okay. No getting tmi.
Brooke
Oh my God. You're like. You know that I'm shooting with the butthole pain. No, no, I'm not familiar with that. I get like a shooting back pain sometimes. Like.
Danielle
Yeah, I don't know that one.
Brooke
Yeah, she's dying. So funny. That's so funny. Or like I know like I get my random like Charlie Horse leg cramp where I'm like, I feel like I.
Danielle
Have to kick or something. But like, but no, not the butt one.
Brooke
No.
Danielle
It's almost like I don't know how to explain it. Like. Woo. Anyways, like I talk agrees with me.
Brooke
I get stomach grams. I get.
Danielle
Yeah, yeah, no, there's some random pains.
Brooke
Oh, that's so funny.
Danielle
Yep, that it is funny.
Brooke
But when it's a new sensation unlocked. Yeah, I don't. And since I've been sick, I've been like, like sleeping amazing. I have to say I've. Unfortunately it takes me getting sick to like sleep the best I've ever slept. But like I've been sleeping like 10 hours a night and it's been awesome.
Danielle
That is awesome.
Brooke
Yeah. When you do it, like, guilt free because you're like, no. Like, I'm literally sick. Like.
Danielle
Yeah, you have to.
Brooke
I. For my health, I have to wake up at 10am and it's honestly kind of great.
Danielle
Yeah, it is so great to be able to just sleep and, like, do it on purpose.
Brooke
Yeah. And I feel very restored. I feel like it sometimes takes feeling a little under the weather, dude.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Do that.
Danielle
Yeah, a little under the weather. I saw this video you post the other day. I, like, didn't really. I knew this, but, like, you're so high up that, like, when. Yeah, it is raining. When it's literally under the weather, you're, like, in the clouds. That's so.
Brooke
Yeah. Literally just, like, white.
Danielle
Is that, like, trippy sometimes? Does it mean.
Brooke
But, like, not really. I feel like I've started to, like, dissociate, like, looking at, like, the ground.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
And being like, wow, how I could fall. Like, I almost, like, see it as, like, a picture, if that makes sense. Holy cow. Like, I'm like, what a gorgeous picture. Like, I don't see it as.
Danielle
I think it's so baller. It's giving, like.
Brooke
Yeah. It's like, almost the bed house, but it's not quite. Yes.
Danielle
That's really cool.
Brooke
Whenever people in my building, like, get in the elevator and they hit penthouse, I'm like, whoa, you're cool. Like, do you think that. Do you have a penthouse in your building? Really?
Danielle
We do. And it's like a ton of little kids and, like, little girls, and we couldn't believe it.
Brooke
Little girls.
Danielle
I mean, I'm sure.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
But they just had their little Ritzia bags, and they were so.
Brooke
Wow. No, I definitely think about it, like, you know when you get an elevator and, like, you're working the door, you're like, what floors?
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Like, like, okay, 30, you know, 32. And then they're like, penthouse. I'm like, I, like, look twice.
Danielle
You look at a second time.
Brooke
Okay.
Danielle
Okay.
Brooke
Miss.
Danielle
Yeah, Ms. Dry Cleaning. All right.
Brooke
And if they have one of their packages on them, I'm looking like wood. Penthouse, is it? And then I go on street easy. Immediately when I get home, I need to know exactly what the layout is. I need to know. Yeah, you need to see four bedrooms. Who lives there?
Danielle
Yeah. Or, like, I'll look at their package and look at their name.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah.
Danielle
I'm nosy. I want to know.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
I introduced myself to our neighbor today. Took a lot of guts.
Brooke
Direct across or across.
Danielle
Did I? I forgot about. I The other day I was in the gym and me and this guy literally went in the elevator up to the same floor. And then we both went across, like, literally.
Brooke
Did you know it was him or you?
Danielle
I didn't know that he was our neighbor. And so then I was like, I should have said something. So then I told myself, the next time I'm in the elevator with this man, say, and when you.
Brooke
If you see something, say something.
Danielle
If you something, say something. Radical left. Like.
Brooke
That. Yeah.
Danielle
It was just in my head. Sorry.
Brooke
It, like, keeps going. Like, he says a bunch of other things. He's like. Because I've been seeing people do it, like, as if like my friend group be like, the radical left, the blah, blah, blah, blah. Yeah, yeah.
Danielle
But I. I said something to him and I was really proud. It's really easy to do. Like, I just. I'm just gonna play that. I just moved here for a long time. Like, I just moved here.
Brooke
That's good. Because I kind of, like, went too far and like, now it's like, a little too deep to introduce, like, like the people who I haven't met.
Danielle
Like, but if you don't, if you've never seen them before, you could say.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah, no, we have. We've, like, not the person across from us, but the person. Like, whatever. Like, he's a. He's a friend.
Danielle
Yeah, yeah, surely.
Brooke
No, like, we know. You know, we know each other. We talk.
Danielle
You know what I need you to do? I don't know if I said this on the podcast, but one time, you guys, Brooke gave me the honor of getting to watch her, like, doorbell camera. It is so entertaining. I wish you would compile it.
Brooke
Constantly over stimulated in that foot footage.
Danielle
It is so funny.
Brooke
I'm walking back with my. My packages or my food or whatever. I've literally. It's actually hysterical. We were watching, like, the footage of me. I was like, every time, it's like, I have more and more stuff.
Danielle
You can't stop having stuff in your hand.
Brooke
Yeah. Every time I'm like, suddenly I. Why do I have eight tote bags? Like, and they're all full. It is. What's in them?
Danielle
Like, I don't know. Brooke, I have this and you're holding your coffee that you hadn't drank out of. Like, yeah, those clips are the best. Or like, when Mariah came.
Brooke
Yeah, that was a cute one. Oh, it's. I know. I saved it. It was Halloween last year, which was wholesome.
Danielle
Oh, that's really.
Brooke
But I don't think we're gonna be there this year.
Danielle
No, you won't be.
Brooke
No. Should I leave out a bowl of candy?
Danielle
You should. That's so, like, adult.
Brooke
As a morality test. Because I love the count. What take and then you, like.
Danielle
Can you speak it?
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Hey. Only one.
Brooke
That would be really funny. Oh, yeah. That would be really funny.
Danielle
I love that. I'm trying to think what else is new?
Brooke
Oh, I wrote down that I'm loving fall, even though, like, it doesn't entirely loving fall. I need to tell you, like, Danielle, one thing about me. Like, I've been really trying to uptake my fiber and, like, okay, I've been having minimum when I'm home, Like, when I'm in New York, minimum, two apples a day. Like, I'm obsessed with apples. I just, like, it's so fall to just. You said cut up an apple, like. Yeah. I mean, it tastes better when it's cute. Cut.
Danielle
You're right. Totally. And give. Do you have an apple slicer?
Brooke
No, I have a knife.
Danielle
Like, wait, that's. You have to get an apple slicer. That's what I do. You just put it.
Brooke
I'm sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Danielle
Oh, my God. Knives scare me with apples. I feel like it's so normal to have an apple.
Brooke
No, I. I guess it is. I just have so many other. I have so many, like, devices.
Danielle
But if you're eating two a day.
Brooke
Two a day. You think I qualify?
Danielle
I was about to tell you. I was about to be like, you should add peanut butter. Nope.
Brooke
No. But what I have been doing is I put cinnamon on them, just regular cinnamon. And then I eat them with maple butter from Trader Joe's. It's literally maple syrup. That's, like, whipped into butter. It's just maple syrup.
Danielle
I always wondered what maple butter was.
Brooke
That's exactly what it is.
Danielle
Easy.
Brooke
And it's. It's literally the perfect sweet treat. Like, that's all that I can say. Also, apples and salads. I just like salads. Apples.
Danielle
You got to get, like, an apples candle. We got to apple it up. Got to go apple picking.
Brooke
I know. I. I'm trying to find a time for the apple picking.
Danielle
Find a time.
Brooke
Because I need a large quantity to last me through.
Danielle
Need a large quantity. I feel like Ben could, like, make an apple pie.
Brooke
We've done that in years past. Oh, you've done. Yeah, no, we've done. Because usually we go apple picking, and you get such a big amount. Like, it's. You can't just, like, go apple picking it, too, right? Like, you Go.
Danielle
And you get like the like 5.
Brooke
Pound bag and you're like, now I have apples for decades.
Danielle
Did you get your cinnamon brooms from traders?
Brooke
I have that listed too. Cinnamon broom. So I got the mini ones and I put one in my laundry closet, one in a few bathrooms. And like we walked in from Florida and the place wasn't overpowering, but like it smelled kind. I was like, ah, home. Like it smelled like home.
Danielle
So fun. You know what I really want to do is a simmer pot. Have you done those?
Brooke
No.
Danielle
You should. I feel like that'd be great for this apple.
Brooke
Like the cinnamon sticks.
Danielle
Yeah, like you put it. I think it's.
Brooke
But you don't eat it. Like it's just.
Danielle
No, just for the smell.
Brooke
Okay.
Danielle
I guess you could just get a candle.
Brooke
No, that's. But that's better. Are you burning candles in your new place?
Danielle
Not as much because I got a. Well, yes, in a way because I got a candle warmer, like a candle lamp. So there's no flame, but it really works and the candle lasts so much longer. But I did light a fall candle yesterday and it for just for a few hours because they're very strong.
Brooke
Potent. Yes.
Danielle
But it was a vibe.
Brooke
How about you?
Danielle
It's lovely.
Brooke
I haven't really been doing a lot of candles for no reason except that like I feel like I'm. I forget to blow it out and then like I'm not. Oh yeah. Maybe I should get a warmer though. That sounds like a good investment. Maybe.
Danielle
Yes. No, for sure. And they're not too expensive.
Brooke
That seems like something I could benefit from because.
Danielle
Yeah, you know, it's definitely still like quite warm here. It's like chilly in the mornings, but then it's warm and I am like outfit confused a little bit. But it is fun. I'm definitely like getting like the fall fashion of it all. It's fun.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
It's exciting.
Brooke
Yes.
Danielle
I just bought like my coat of like not coat like your. You know, you got to get your puffer of the year.
Brooke
Bring it out. Yeah, I need to get mine cleaned. That's what I really should do because I say, I say I like to do that every season. Like get it dry cleaned or whatever. The ones that did say that I do and I'm due and it's an investment. But like if you think about it, you wear that thing every day. It's probably disgusting. Like the one, my big Canada goose with the fur and everything. Like boots with that fur last it. She's old reliable. Like that's gonna continue to last me. But, like, it. It needs a cleaning. Like, that's gross.
Danielle
Especially puffers because I feel like that's more sporty. So we'll wear it with our workout outfit.
Brooke
It's. It's all sweat on the inside. The entire thing is probably just sweat, sweat, sweat.
Danielle
I think about that with like. Like, I was wearing leather shorts to acl and like, you can't wash them and they were.
Brooke
So do you get a dry clean?
Danielle
I think you can get leather dry. I don't know.
Brooke
I. If, If I have you questioning how to wash it, I get it dry cleaned. Like, I'm not sure. Like, and so I tend to get a lot dry cleaned because of that.
Danielle
Yeah, no, it.
Brooke
Because I like my feet to.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Have a cycle.
Danielle
Yes. No, I. I am enjoying that. Living with Ryan of, like, bringing our dry cleaning to the place. It feels very Something borrowed. Did you ever see that movie? Yeah, she's like, holding the drag thing. Very like wifey.
Brooke
Oh, my God. I. No, I. Well, speaking of wifey, can we talk about the fact that. Okay, I need to know if this is your everyday routine. Do you greet Ryan at the door every time?
Danielle
No, no, no, no.
Brooke
I needed to know.
Danielle
Do you want to know behind the scenes? So I posted this End the Night with Me video.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
And Ryan was coming through the door, and I was filming something in the other room. And so I kept the camera on. I was like, wait, Ryan, like, will you go back out and just come in? But then I just wanted him to come in.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
But so he leaves.
Brooke
He closed the door.
Danielle
I didn't even want him to close the door.
Brooke
Oh. But he was doing the full.
Danielle
He trying to film, like, these influencer videos where you, like, come in.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Clearly you set the camera up.
Brooke
Of course.
Danielle
Like, awkward. Yeah.
Brooke
But no, but it turns out to be a great video. I was just more so curious if that is truly. Like, you've been doing that every time. Because I feel like in the beginning maybe you are. Hello?
Danielle
Yeah, open the door.
Brooke
Oh, goodbye.
Danielle
That's Ryan.
Brooke
I'll get him this time.
Danielle
Yeah, come on in. No, no, but basically I was like, ryan, can you just come back in for the video? I think that would be so cute. And then he's just out there for 10 seconds. I'm like, is he wanting me to go open the door for him? So I opened the door for him because he was just waiting.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
No, now normally he just walks in and he says, bubba's back. That's what he says. Bubba's back.
Brooke
Holy. Holy cow.
Danielle
Bubba's back Behind.
Brooke
That's really funny.
Danielle
Our lingo.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
So. No, but it is really funny. Just what we, like, what we do for a living. Like these videos we film. It is quite hilarious. Like, the behind the scenes of it all.
Brooke
Yeah. But it makes a good. It makes a better video. Truly like that. Because of that. Like, it. It was a more like, well produced. Produced. Just better video.
Danielle
Oh, thank you. Yeah. No, but typically, I don't open the door for him. I don't even hear him. He just comes in.
Brooke
Yeah. I wasn't sure. I. I sometimes, like, if I know that he's coming and it's like a really exciting day. Like. Like, I'll greet at the door sometimes. But that's like, if it's like a big, like, oh, I just got good news. Or like, oh, something like not taking.
Danielle
Your feet for him to come home.
Brooke
Yes. I wouldn't say that it's.
Danielle
But how do you know he's, like, at the.
Brooke
The door? I mean, I. I track telepathy.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
I track him. Like, I'm like, oh, he's close. Like, I can see. Like, when he's on the train. I'm like. And then I could, like, usually guesstimate, like, from this stop. It's probably this many minutes. It's like, you get the timing down.
Danielle
True. You totally do.
Brooke
Yeah. And then I'm like, okay, the radical left. I can't stop. Great.
Danielle
That would be serious, too.
Brooke
Yeah, it's a. It's a good line.
Danielle
Well, this was fun. Do you have any other fall things you want to share with me?
Brooke
No other fall things. That's literally. I put minimum two apples a day. That's so funny.
Danielle
That is really funny. Like, I just never would have guessed that would come out of your mouth literally ever.
Brooke
I don't know why ever. Like, when you find a delicious apple that you like and there's, like, a range.
Danielle
What kind do you like?
Brooke
I'm a Fuji apple girly.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
What are you. What about you?
Danielle
Fuji. And I like a honey crisp. And then what's the dark. Dark red ones go?
Brooke
Red Delicious. So because there's Golden Delicious, I'm pretty.
Danielle
Sure it's the green Red Delicious. Like the dark red one ones. Those are, like, my absolute favorite. They just don't always have them, so. Love a good apple.
Brooke
Love an apple.
Danielle
They're very important.
Brooke
Yeah. Happy fall, y'. All.
Danielle
Well, a do apple a day keeps the doctor away.
Brooke
But it didn't really work for me, so.
Danielle
Doesn't keep Ben away.
Brooke
It doesn't. So I've seen those memes.
Danielle
Brook's been trying.
Brooke
Have you seen those memes? It's like me, if I ever date a doctor and it's like, no, they just eat put in the newsletter. It's like something stupid.
Danielle
And I'm like, yeah, this was a really fun episode. I enjoyed chatting with you.
Brooke
So fun. Me too, guys.
Danielle
And that's it for today. We'll see you guys next week.
Brooke
That's a wrap.
Danielle
That's a wrap. Bye.
Brooke
This October, fear is free on Pluto TV with horror movie collections from Paranormal Activity, the ring you will die in seven days scream and from dusk till dawn. This is my kind of place. And don't miss the man made nightmares in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein or the world ending chaos in 28 days later. Something in the blood, all the scares all for free. Pluto TV stream now pay never.
In this episode, Brooke and Danielle dive into the everyday realities and quirks of being a “gal on the go.” Their conversation devolves (in the best way) into everything from awkward moments with neighbors to genius text lingo, navigating music festivals with premium access, and the ongoing, slightly embarrassing dental journeys that seem to define your late 20s. True to form, the pod is peppered with the duo’s signature energy, humor, supportive “girl talk,” as well as trending bits from pop culture, tech, wellness, and—crucially—the unapologetic joy of apples in the fall.

This episode is quintessential Gals on the Go—banter-heavy, honest about the anxieties and joys of adult friendships, relationships, self-care, and social (and social media) pressures. It’s peppered with internet and inside-joke culture, but always finds space for practical advice, sisterly camaraderie, and justifying your quirks—however silly, bougie, or universally relatable.
If you missed the episode, catching this summary means you caught all the girl talk “bits” that matter.
