Okay, this is your sign to stop checking out online without checking Rakuten first. I've been using it for a while now, and honestly, I'm kicking myself for not signing up sooner. Danielle
Hey, guys, what's up? Welcome back to Gals from the Go podcast.
Brooke
It's Brooke, Danielle, Halle, and Jazz.
Halle
Yay.
Danielle
We are so iconic with the Delusional Diaries. Girls, thank you so much for joining us today. This is. It is iconic. It's. It's been a collab in the making and wow. This round two, we love collabing with duos.
Brooke
Like, it's things that just make sense. It flows different through brunette to the blonde.
Jazz
So true.
Brooke
You know what I mean? And we've got the blondes on. I mean, I'm like half blonde these days, but you know what I mean?
Jazz
I still too.
Brooke
Yeah, I saw you, like, went back and, like, went a little brighter.
Jazz
Yeah, because it was like too ashy when I first did it was not suiting my skin color.
Brooke
But now it's scary, like doing the. So you kind of did darker roots. Yeah, a little bit.
Jazz
Yeah, a little.
Danielle
But you've got, like versions of the same you two. I see the similarities, but, like, mine's a little dark. The blonde. The science of blonde, to me is so. It's something I. I will never Personally understand. But I know that like, it's hard. I know that like you have to.
Halle
It's hard and expensive.
Danielle
Yeah, that's. That is it.
Jazz
Yeah.
Danielle
And like the maintenance of it. And like, I feel like I talked to Danielle about how often she has to go in to like maintain that.
Brooke
Like bright, like, and how long you're there for. Brooke is in and out of the salon in an hour and a half with her freaking glosses. We're in there for like five hours. That's how my situation is.
Jazz
Yeah. I'm trying to stray away from the bleach and just kind of go back towards my natural color. Cuz I. I can't do it anymore. It's not fun.
Brooke
No, it's like one more appointment that you have. I mean, it's fun to have all the beauty appointments.
Jazz
I don't find it fun overly. You're like, I'm like, I need it, but I don't want.
Halle
It gives me anxiety to like, be in those appointments. Like, I need to like, leave.
Brooke
Yeah, no, I know. It's like I need to be doing something else right now. Like I also want.
Halle
But it has to be done.
Jazz
Yeah.
Halle
And I get better after I'm done. But the process of getting done, I'm just like, I would rather be. Not here.
Brooke
No, literally. Also, like the elephant in the room is Jaz literally about to get married, like so soon, so quickly.
Halle
So it's literally a month away.
Danielle
How does it feel real to you?
Halle
Very real.
Danielle
Yeah, it does. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Yeah. Did you do. You kind of did like the whole like wedding wardrobe thing, right? Like embrace. I did a lot of white, but.
Halle
Also I wore a lot of white before and I'll wear a lot of white after. I really only wear neutrals. So Yeah, I leaned into it heavier, I think like when.
Brooke
Yeah, but that makes sense. Have you been doing any like extra beauty appointments in preparation of the way.
Halle
I'm getting my eyebrows microbladed next week because like, I have like one area of, of my like arch that doesn't grow hair.
Brooke
Oh my God.
Danielle
Feel that. And you have scar. Do you have a scar or. No, you don't have an.
Halle
I've tried everything. Just doesn't grow there. And I, I went to like a person who like maps out your eyebrows and she's like your arches and everything is in the wrong area. Like you don't have hair there. Like you should. And she's like, you need to like. She like shaped them on my face and she's like, you look better. Like, this is like. You're so right. I couldn't figure out, like, what was the issue. Cuz, like, I would get them like, done and like, all the hairs removed in the right areas, but it wasn't making sense. So. So getting that done next week.
Brooke
Oh, my gosh. So you've never done that before?
Halle
Nope. First time.
Brooke
Poor bag. I feel like you have a high pain tolerance.
Halle
I do, but also she said it wasn't like, that painful. But also a lot of research before picking a person since it's like your face.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
It's like a tattoo, right? Like a little less. Yes.
Halle
But we're going, like, very light. We can always do more later. But that's my main appointment, I would say. I got Botox with H. I mean, I always.
Jazz
It's like kicking in right now.
Halle
Yeah.
Brooke
I love that guys are snaps right now.
Danielle
It's hitting.
Halle
Oh. I went in like, December to like, like, figure out how many units I need to get and like, where it wears off and like, what time frame so I could get it the exact time before the wedding to get it how I like it. So. Just had that last week and now it's kicked in.
Jazz
I'm like, we're a little frozen right now.
Halle
No, but like, the skin type, the perfect amount.
Brooke
Do you guys do your lips?
Halle
I get a lip flip, like a gummy smile, but that's it.
Jazz
Yeah, I used to get lip filler, but I got like 90 of it dissolved. I probably haven't in like a year and a half, but I feel like at some point I'll probably get a touch up of lip filler eventually.
Danielle
Okay.
Brooke
Yeah, that makes sense. Well, both of your lips are looking great.
Danielle
Facials and things or is really just the Botox.
Halle
I want to do more, but whenever I schedule them, I end up having to go out of town for work or, like, have to, like, be ready on camera and I can't make it work in my schedule. Yeah, I would like to. I used to do Hydra facials, like, before being on online, and I love those. Like, my skin was, like, so juicy.
Brooke
Yeah, my hydrafacials are the best gunk.
Jazz
Yeah. Like, wow.
Halle
Like, that was especially after, like, being like, in like, the desert for, like, stage coaching Coachella. I'm like, I would love to get the dust sucked out of me, but.
Danielle
That'S probably really smart.
Brooke
Wait, that actually sounds amazing.
Jazz
I want to try lasers, but I. My claustrophobia won't let me because I, like, can't keep my eyes closed. But I've heard the best things about getting your face laser.
Brooke
Oh, so you wouldn't, like. Have you ever done a lash lift?
Jazz
I just actually got one and I'm. I tell the lady, I'm like, hey, like, I need to keep opening my eyes. It burns my eyes so bad because I keep opening them. But, like, I'm like, so you do it. They're, like, glued shut, basically. But I still keep opening them because I am having a panic. And it is the worst, like, 45 minutes of my life. But it, like, fantastic lashes. But it was. It was horrible. If. If I had darker. Like, my eyelashes are naturally blonde, so I, like, really do need it because otherwise I look like a naked mole rat.
Brooke
Do you do the lift, too? Because you could do the tint and it's, like, probably a little shorter.
Jazz
Yeah, that's true. No, I like the lips.
Danielle
Nothing on your lashes.
Jazz
I did put on, like, one coat of mascara, but they've been looking, like, pretty good, honestly.
Danielle
No, it looks amazing.
Halle
I've been pointing it out. I'm like, wow, your lashes, look.
Jazz
Except last night I slept with the eye mask on and they, like, completely ruined this morning. I was like, that was really.
Brooke
I actually know what you're talking.
Jazz
Yeah, I should not have done that.
Halle
I love an eye mask, though.
Jazz
Me too.
Halle
It's amazing.
Brooke
I am not, like, when you're at.
Danielle
Home, like, Yeah, I talked to them last night. Really? Yeah.
Brooke
I actually knew this about you.
Danielle
Yeah. But I wake up with it off. Do you? Because you still wakens. How hard? Okay. Almost every time I wake up and it's. I'm like, we're digging in my bed for, like, how did this happen?
Jazz
Well, do you have curtains?
Danielle
Yeah, but there's a little peek through of, like.
Jazz
I don't have curtains.
Brooke
Oh.
Jazz
Because I'm, like, crazy because you want.
Brooke
To wake up early or you just don't like the look?
Jazz
I like to wake up to the sun, but I don't know, I just don't like curtains. Like, it gives me anxiety. I love natural light and I never want to miss, like, an ounce of it. But when I'm sleeping, like, my neighbors across the street have these, like, crazy lights that they were just too bright last night. But I don't sleep with eye mask all the time.
Brooke
Wow. But sometimes you need to.
Jazz
Yeah, I literally needed to last night.
Brooke
Good for you, though, because I. I do have to pay respects to people who don't get curtains because they want to, like, wake up with the sun. And I feel like you are Always, like, when I'm up, Hal is already awake. She's gone to Pilates.
Halle
Early riser.
Brooke
Like, I feel like that definitely plays a part into it. Yeah.
Jazz
I do think, honestly, the hatch alarm clock is also helpful for, like. Yeah, the like stim. Or what emulates. Is that the word? Like the sunlighting.
Brooke
I know what you're trying to say.
Jazz
Is that I don't know if emulate was the right word.
Brooke
I know what you're trying to say. Like, yeah, fakes. Simulates.
Danielle
Simulate. Simulation. Yeah, yeah. Like, of the sunrise. Yeah.
Brooke
My vocabulary has gone out the drain. I've started to play just, like, games. My friend was like, I need to start playing brain games. And I was like, I should start playing brain.
Danielle
I've been telling you about the times.
Brooke
I know map so long.
Halle
Now me with Halle, because I'll bring something a million times and I would do it. And someone else, like, brings up. She's like, I should do this. I'm like, no.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
Final influence. Yes.
Jazz
This happened, like, a couple times.
Brooke
But you know what?
Danielle
This wordle's hard.
Brooke
I'm like, out hard.
Danielle
It is, but it's a good challenge.
Brooke
No, but it gets your brain, like, thinking.
Danielle
So then you do the other ones too. You have to do connections and you have to do other mini crossword. I'm sorry. You'll get smarter. I mini crossword so hard. I tried that.
Brooke
It's like, I don't even know what this is. But then I. I do the spelling bee. I do like the spelling.
Danielle
Oh, that's great.
Brooke
This is like a weekend. I meant to tell you.
Danielle
Wow, that's a big.
Brooke
I know. It's so true, though. Like, your best friend will tell you something for so long, and then it just takes one other person to be like. And you're like, okay, now it's good. Yeah, yeah.
Danielle
That was.
Halle
I did all the build up, though. It's like when you have a jar and like, someone like.
Danielle
Yeah, that was all right. You did all that?
Halle
A big part.
Danielle
The prep work?
Brooke
No. Well, do you guys all have a. Well, first of all, let me say that this is a collab. This is a pod swap. So we have this episode out with Halle and Jazz, but then you have to go over to their channel. Their channel?
Danielle
Their podcast.
Brooke
And we did a podcast over there and we got deep. Honestly, we talked about a lot of friendship stuff. Friendship moving in with your significant other.
Halle
Getting older, like, serious confrontation.
Danielle
Yeah. He was giving therapy. Yeah.
Halle
Girlhood, definitely. Mature.
Danielle
Mature. Was that. That was like a mature conversation over here. We're talking about Botox and lip flips.
Brooke
Yeah.
Halle
Balance.
Brooke
So we'll have all their stuff linked down below and their podcast link down below as well, so you guys can go listen to that. But do you guys have a current favorite of the week that we can talk about? We can go first.
Halle
Mine's my eye mask, actually.
Brooke
Like, I thought you, like, didn't have one.
Danielle
No, I got.
Halle
I got, like, that slip. The slip one is what.
Danielle
Yeah.
Halle
And has my name on it and I wear on every single plane. And I've also been wearing it more at home now, too, because when I put it on, I'm, like, forced to go off my phone. Yeah, you can't. Like, if I don't have it on, I'll roll over if my phone vibrates. If I have. I must find, like, it's time for bed now.
Brooke
Are you guys sleeping with do not disturb on or.
Halle
No, I don't ever have that on.
Jazz
Me neither.
Danielle
Yeah. You like to get connected?
Halle
I. Yes.
Brooke
Get connected.
Halle
Yeah. Great education.
Brooke
That's crazy.
Halle
Yeah, I don't use that feature.
Brooke
So, like, what if the group. Group chat's popping off? Like, does it wake you up?
Halle
I mean, I like to get notification. Like, you like to hear it. I like to, like, someone needs me. I want to, like, hear it.
Danielle
Will you ever put a singular chat on, do not disturb or. No. Like, you get every notification situational.
Halle
Yeah, but I'll, like, only do that, like, for like, a couple hours. Never, like, all the time.
Danielle
Got it.
Halle
Yeah, it's like a singular chat.
Brooke
Yeah. No, sometimes it's like, okay, you guys are really annoying because I.
Halle
If I had missed something important, like, anxiety overload.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Yeah, I do feel that. I just hate to wake up to the light. And, like, I. I'm just not good at falling back asleep.
Danielle
Okay.
Brooke
So I think that's my journey.
Danielle
Yeah, I do. I. I'm. It doesn't really make sense. Like, the times that I use it, I feel like I'm like, okay. Like, maybe because it's over stimulation. Like, sometimes I'm like, okay, this is like, a lot right now. Like, go on do not disturb.
Brooke
And I will be texting, and all of a sudden it just says, do not.
Halle
You.
Danielle
It's my. I just am like, oh, too much.
Jazz
Everyone wants to know.
Danielle
Yeah. Yeah. Sometimes at night I'm like, I will do this in the morning. Like, if it's like past 9:00. And like, we work with a lot of people on the West Coast. I'm sure you guys do. And for some reason, we're just on different time frames. I mean, I like to do stuff at night. Like, it's also easy to be present.
Halle
When you have things on. Do not disturb. For sure. I think it's important because you can easily get pulled back into, like, people on the west coast. Because I know exactly.
Danielle
And things that are urgent, like on the. What? I put down quotes because it's like, what's so urgent? I always think that, Mike, we're not saving lives. Like, yeah, like, everything's gonna be okay. If I don't correct the caption right now, right now, the world will keep on turning. I do promise. Yeah, no, that's what I have to remind myself, too. I'm like, it's okay. So if it seems so urgent, but it's like, you know, 10:00 here. But on the west coast, it's like, more reasonable hours. Like, it's okay. We can get to it in the morning, you know?
Brooke
Yeah, no, for sure. It's definitely interesting working with a ton of people in the west coast because, like, everything starts popping off around, like, 4 or 5 o'clock.
Danielle
Yeah.
Halle
Like, I'm trying to unwind and be in what I'm doing.
Brooke
I know it's. It's a tough one, but. Okay. So, jazz.
Halle
Great.
Danielle
So you're sleeping. Do you sleep on planes? Yeah.
Brooke
You got your squish.
Halle
I love a plane sleep. I fall asleep before the plane takes off. I rarely wake up before it lands. I will wake up for food. I will say, if I happen to be in first, I will wake up for my meal.
Brooke
Of course. You smell it.
Halle
I want to get every dollar that I'm spending. Yes. Give me the meal and then I'll go right back to sleep.
Brooke
Yeah, that is. That is really nice.
Halle
I always sleep on Halle on planes also.
Brooke
Really?
Halle
She gets the window, I get to sleep on her. That's the deal.
Danielle
That's sweet.
Brooke
And you don't mind?
Jazz
No, I do mind, but she would.
Halle
Rather have the window when I'm like.
Jazz
You can just go sleep, sit on a window somewhere else then. And we don't have to sit. But.
Halle
I know, but then, like, you're trying to talk to me, so it's like a whole thing.
Jazz
Yeah, but I don't want her to sleep on me. But I, like, need the window for, like, anxiety.
Danielle
Me too. Me too. I need to be able to see the wing at all times.
Jazz
Yeah, no, I need to check the engine. I'm doing my own ground control, like, on the airplane.
Danielle
I'm so Glad we relate on this. Do you pull up the tracker then too? You're doing the whole. I'm calculating we cleared 30,000ft. Safe to move about.
Jazz
No. And I'm always like, are we pointing the right way right now? Like, are we headed towards the airport or are we making an emergency landing? Like, I'm always like calculating that in my head.
Danielle
Me too. Like, you know when you take off, sometimes in the wrong direction, like, intentionally, because I know that they like circle background. I don't like it settling.
Jazz
Always same. I like to take off from LA and I'm like, why are we heading towards Hawaii right now? Like, turn that around.
Danielle
Do you use turbul?
Jazz
What is that? Oh, it tells you about the turbulence.
Danielle
Yes. I love it. I have to tell you, it brings me a lot of peace because, you know, sometimes it will say moderate turbulence, but then when it is the moderate turbulence, I'm like, oh, yeah, yourself. Exactly. Sometimes I pull it up mid flight. I'm like, when I feel the turbulence, I'm like, what's this predicted? And like, I'm like, safe, we're good.
Brooke
Or when the pilot tells you, okay.
Jazz
I don't mind the turbulence. Like, I don't like it, but it's. That's not my biggest fear. Like, because I'm like, okay, like, turbulence is pretty normal. And like, I don't really mind. I just care. Like, I'm like, is the plane breaking down? So, like, if I'm like, okay, the engines are working, I feel like kind of fine about it.
Halle
Oh, a communicative pilot.
Jazz
Oh, my God, he makes all the difference. Or she.
Halle
Yes, women.
Jazz
Yes, yes, women.
Halle
Well, girl power. But if they're like, hey, we're going to be running into some turbulence, I feel like, okay, great, she knows this. Or they're just telling us what's happening. Like, oh, the weather is. If you over communicate. And I'm like, chilling if you don't say shit on that entire plane. Right. I'm like, the whole time I'll wake up to every bump because I'm like, on edge.
Brooke
Yeah. Like, they didn't tell us it was coming.
Halle
Yes.
Jazz
Or when it's just like there starts to be turbulence. It's like, flight attendants, take your jump seats. I'm like, why?
Brooke
I hate.
Halle
Why put you in a panic?
Jazz
Yeah. It's like, just say like, hey, guys, we're exploring.
Halle
Expecting a little bit of turbulence next 10, 15 minutes. But like, I'm at the thought I didn't sit down as a precaution. But we're all good here.
Jazz
Like, yeah, we're all good here.
Danielle
I like the pre, the warning. Like when you know you're after boarding, you're settled, guys, it's gonna be a little bumpy. Like, tell us what's expected on today's flight.
Jazz
Yeah, I love when a pilot will make like a dad joke too. I've had like some of those recently and I'm like, okay, you're like humanized to me and therefore like this feels a lot better.
Brooke
100. Do you guys ever look at the flight attendants to see if they're scared?
Jazz
Yes.
Halle
Yes. That's what I do.
Danielle
I've never seen them scared.
Brooke
Fair.
Jazz
No. That's what I feel good about. Especially like I've literally been like paying the extra money to sit in first class because they're right there in front of me. And then I'll like, there'll be turbulence and they'll be like laughing on their phone and I'm like, okay. They don't care.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah. They're chit chatting. Yeah. Reading a book.
Danielle
I'm like, sometimes they're up and about. I'm like, you're gonna fall over.
Jazz
Yeah.
Halle
You know, fantastic balance.
Danielle
Insane. And they're going to heals.
Jazz
Nine times out of ten.
Brooke
You know, people think podcasting is just talking into a mic, but let me tell you, my brain doesn't shut off when I turn the mic off. Between planning episodes, researching topics, and the 3am spiral where I rethink everything I've ever said, sleep wasn't exactly my strong suit. And don't even get me started on those late night creative bursts that hit right when I finally laid down. I know I needed something to help me actually wind down and not just knock me out, but help me wake up feeling like a functioning human. That's when I found Beam's Dream powder. I've always been in therapy, but I notice just like how improved my mood is and just how much more calm I feel when I have it in my weekly routine because I'm able to talk to someone, I'm able to get things off my chest. I don't feel judged at all. And I also don't feel judged when I tell my friends I'm in therapy. Like, it's very normal. I get excited when someone in my life is like, I'm going to therapy. Jazz
I just get scared of the turbulence when if I've seen like tick tocks where it's like plane had to land it from like JFK to Germany, like because there was such extreme turbulence. And when like the carts go in the air and like the food is everywhere.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jazz
I just don't want that to happen. Like, imagine getting hit with a cart or something or like, food in the air. I don't know.
Danielle
I know when the things open up, the luggage, like, overhead bins, like, that's a fear for me.
Jazz
Yeah.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
I. I have this weird thing. I feel like everyone has their things they do on the plane. I have this thing where I hold my breath right before we land and then I can exhale.
Jazz
Okay.
Brooke
Like, right when the plane's about to touch, I'm like. Like, I have to time my exhale. I don't know why. I just noticed it yesterday when I landed. I know it's weird. It's like, oh, I don't know why I do that, but I do that.
Danielle
That's a routine.
Jazz
Yeah, I know.
Brooke
I'm holding my breath. Brooke, what are you loving right now?
Danielle
A show on Apple tv. It's the studio. Do you guys.
Halle
I haven't started it yet, but I want to my list so.
Brooke
Good.
Danielle
Is that. What's his last name? Rogan. That's it. I get the. The Seth's confused. There's a lot of Hollywood. Yeah. Lots of sets, but they have, like, celebrity cameos on every episode, which is, like, iconic. It really is. They have what was. I only know her as, like, Harry Styles ex.
Brooke
Olivia Wilde.
Danielle
Yeah. Like, she was on an episode. Josh Hutcherson was on the episode that I just watched very briefly. But I love it. They have. Every episode's a different, like, story. He works. He is a producer at, like, a big movie studio in Hollywood. He doesn't play himself, but he plays like.
Brooke
So it's fiction.
Danielle
Yeah, but it's, like, based on reality.
Brooke
Okay.
Danielle
It's like satire, I guess, like, you know, where they're making fun of themselves almost.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
It's really good. I have to tell you.
Halle
That's good to hear because I was planning on watching it, so now I actually want to watch it.
Danielle
It's light. It's.
Halle
Sometimes I feel like you need that.
Danielle
You need a light break.
Halle
I feel like watching out the pit. Like, you need something light.
Danielle
No, that's what I needed. I was like. I prescribed myself one episode. Yeah.
Halle
Yeah.
Danielle
Yes.
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
So definitely watch and every. I like the show that like. Like same car, same core group of characters, but every episode is a little different. So you can kind of like skip an episode, hop in and out, you.
Halle
Know, like, not like Lost.
Danielle
Exactly. Exactly. Hallie, do you have a favorite?
Jazz
Mine's my Dyson air wrap.
Brooke
Oh.
Danielle
And that's what used for this look today.
Jazz
I actually didn't.
Danielle
Oh.
Brooke
Oh.
Danielle
Of course.
Jazz
In so long that I haven't but basically like I didn't use it when I blow dried my hair like the other day but like every single time before that. I truly have and I just can't live without it now.
Brooke
Like your favorite attachment.
Jazz
The. I honestly don't use anything except the actual like wrap part. Like, okay, I don't use like I cannot use a round brush to save my life. Like if my hair gets caught in it, I. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've tried everything. I just, I don't think it's for me.
Halle
But you also said that about the air wrap in the first place.
Jazz
No, no, no. I've tried this with everything. Not just the air wrap.
Brooke
Like blow dryer round brush.
Halle
Yeah.
Jazz
Like I cannot blow dry and use a round brush. I've tried like every different kind so many times. It's just. I cannot do it. But yeah, I also have naturally like straight hair so I don't really need to like straighten out my hair. I feel like I just kind of like let it get a little bit dry and then I just curl it with the air wrap and it lasts so long because I do it when it's wet.
Danielle
Which makes sense. I saw someone recreated like the, the Halle Kate blowout style like the living room.
Jazz
Oh, did they? Yeah. I always use the living proof proof blow dry cream in combo with it and it's the best.
Brooke
Oh, that's really cool. Someone's recreating your blowout.
Danielle
Yeah. Yeah. We didn't talk about Holly Kate core.
Brooke
That's so funny.
Jazz
It's such a funny video.
Brooke
I can't get over that. Like his voice.
Jazz
I know, I know. He texted me the video. Like it was like, this is so funny. It was like a one minute long video.
Brooke
Yeah.
Jazz
And then he posted that and I was like, was this like I think it's funny but like this is gonna flop. Like who cares about this? And then it just has so many views. It's so funny.
Brooke
It's just so classic Allie Kate core.
Halle
It's the grunt beforehand.
Jazz
The grunt.
Brooke
Yeah. Like, oh, it's too. I got.
Danielle
And the. And then the usages of that sound. I feel like with people like whatever it is, like it's so iconic that you've branded yourself in such a way that like, you know, you wear a flower on your shoe and like that.
Brooke
Is how I guess take it.
Jazz
Yeah.
Danielle
Wow.
Brooke
So you love your Dyson Air app. I am loving. I just rediscovered I was at my friend's apartment in Charleston and it's always fun to Use your friend's products. Like, she just had all of her stuff on the counter. I was like, let me. They always use mine. I'm gonna use theirs. So I. We were, like, going to run or not run errands. We were on a girls trip, but, like, we were going to get coffee or something. And so my. You know when your spray tan kind of fades, but your. Or your spray tan's on, but your face fades? So my face was just so much paler, but I, like, didn't want to put on makeup. Whatever. Anyways, she had these drunk elephant d. Bronzy bronzing drops.
Jazz
Oh.
Brooke
And I don't know. I've just never thought to pick them up. And, I mean, there's so many brands of bronzing drops, so I don't know if these are even the best, but I love them. You mix a little with your moisturizer, and it's like, you have this nice sheen. It's similar to, like, if you put on, like, the super goop glow skin or, like, the closest one that everyone loves right now. But I just forgot. It's so nice to match your face to your neck.
Danielle
Yeah.
Jazz
So true.
Halle
It's all the difference.
Brooke
So nice.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
So glowy. I put it on under my makeup today. I don't know. We'll see how it turns out on Cam, but I do love it.
Jazz
No, it looks good.
Brooke
Thank you.
Danielle
Yeah. Glowing. I mean, you got some Florida sun, right?
Brooke
I did get some Florida sun. I put in the work. My poor family. I was visiting them, and I just. I was like, if you guys want to hang out, like, I'll be out back.
Halle
Yeah. Like, we were outside.
Brooke
Yeah. And they're all like. They all live in Florida, so they're all under the umbrella because they're in the sun all the time. And I'm fully baking. I plan to bake even more. So hopefully the weather. New York, is so good right now, you guys.
Jazz
It's gotten so much better.
Halle
I feel like I woke up the past few days. I'm like. Like, it's like a new. It's a new day. It's how stunning. I'm, like, excited to walk around. I.
Danielle
My boyfriend got, like, the best version of me yesterday. I was like. He was like, you are the best delight. I was like. I was like, you are so giggly and laughing. I was like, it's just beautiful.
Halle
It's giving, like, appreciation.
Danielle
No, it is. It is. It's g. Like, I have that one day that I'm like, oh, this is.
Halle
Like, vitamin D. Like, all the things are like. Like, aligning serious. Exactly.
Danielle
In the winter.
Halle
Yeah. I'm a horror, so I'm a horrible.
Brooke
No, I think we need to really strategize, like, when we're going to Florida in the winter, like, I didn't go to Florida enough, like, because her family has a house there. My family lives there. So it's just like, you forget how often you need to, like, or do a trip.
Halle
Like, if.
Danielle
Yeah, I mean, maybe you need to start wondering. Honestly.
Brooke
I know. Take the studio down south.
Danielle
Like, we can build.
Brooke
Build our studio in between Tampa and Orlando. It'll be great. It'd be so perfect.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
No, I know. Okay, so I want to talk about how you guys balance your lifestyles and you two as friends, how you plan everything. Because you were telling us before about the iPad and, like, all this stuff, and I. This is so cute.
Halle
Yeah. I mean, Halle has. Is very organized with her iPad, but she. For a while, like, if I call him, like, hey, can you. We record at 2pm she's like, I don't have my iPad. I don't have my iPad, so I have to, like, wait till she's at home with her iPad. So you can, like, I need to plan things out.
Brooke
So what's on the iPad that you're using that's not on the phone?
Jazz
It's literally just this planner app that you cannot syndicate because it's like. It's like almost like a notepad, but it doesn't, like, transfer, like, your phone or anything. So it's simply on my iPad. I need my iPad at all times. It's just. It's literally like, you could also write it down in a physical planner. It just. It's really fun to use a little Apple pen.
Halle
And, like, I think it's important to find, like, like, what works for you and, like, your brain because, like, you're motivated because of the fun of the iPad.
Danielle
If you.
Halle
Someone gave you a planner, you would never touch it. So, like, I feel like people try to, like, fight, like, what's good for them, like, what is, like, the norm. But if iPad gets you excited, get the iPad. You don't need a regular planner is not doing it for you. Like, that's okay. It's not stimulating your brain in the right way. Like, everyone has their stuff.
Jazz
Yeah.
Danielle
And you don't have a laptop or a computer.
Jazz
I do not have a computer.
Danielle
This is so crazy to me. Halle, as a content creator, like, I. It's. It's actually so impressive to me that you've been able to do it via phone and iPad. Like, that's amazing.
Jazz
There's nothing that I would need a computer for. Like, I can do everything on my phone. I'm faster. Everything on my phone. Like, editing on my computer seems way daunting. Like, they could just. I. I can do it on my phone. It's easier for me to, like, tap and drag with my finger. I don't know.
Halle
Like, I bring my computer everywhere. Like, I love my computer. Like, if my house is burning down, I'm only bringing my computer. Like, everything else. Like, like, sorry to you.
Brooke
You can tax up a computer.
Halle
I love my computer. I open that thing first thing in the morning, and it's the last thing I shut before I go to bed. Like, I love my computer. I make my best friend.
Danielle
We're computer kids here.
Brooke
Yeah, computer nerds. Wait, so what about when you're, like, applying for apartments and stuff? IPad, phone.
Jazz
I did my taxes on my phone. I made redo my taxes on my phone.
Halle
We saw that.
Brooke
I did see that.
Halle
Everything is.
Danielle
Oh, my gosh. No, I mean, it's. It's. To me, it's almost more impressive that you've been able to do it all from a phone. But I guess if you never started doing it on the compute, I think.
Halle
It'S also because you have great eyesight. Like, I could never run something so small. Yeah, Like, I even, like, with getting Lasik, I have good eyesight now, but I'm like, I need, like, a big screen to see stuff. Like, maybe just like, my age, but, like, you're younger, so it's, like, easier for you. But I don't know how you do on the top. Give me a bigger screen.
Brooke
So do you use, like, Google Cal at all if someone sends you an invite?
Jazz
I did just download Google Calendar.
Brooke
Had to have huge.
Jazz
Yeah, we've been reorganizing a little bit of our. Our structure for things. And so I will say, like, it does make it. What'd you say?
Danielle
Internally.
Halle
Internally. You've been working on some things, so adjustments are being made. Yes.
Jazz
And I did realize because I always, like, searching my email trying to find the links, because I didn't know this existed on Google Calendar, which I guess I could have just downloaded the app. Being honest, it was poor choice on my part, but I would always search in my thing. I'd be like, I can't find this meeting link. Like, this is so annoying. And then I realized in Google Calendar, like, oh, it says you could just click it. It's there.
Brooke
It's so nice.
Jazz
I wish I knew that.
Danielle
I, I. My serial killer trait is that I am an Apple calendar user and I think I might be the only person keeping that in business. To be fair.
Halle
You think? You probably are.
Danielle
Yeah.
Halle
I can't.
Danielle
I'm like, too late to make the switch now. Like, it's color coded there. Like, it's okay there.
Halle
Your system. I have my, like, if it's not broken, don't fix it.
Jazz
Yeah.
Danielle
And Google, like, does go there sometimes. There's a little discrepancy. Yeah. I think I have a skylight. What's that?
Halle
It's amazing. It's a calendar, but it's like, it's like made for like, moms and families. Like the number one, like, mom, like, family calendar. Because you can do like chore charge. You can do like, grocery list. Like, everything's color coded by person. And it syncs to your Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar, any kind of calendar. And it's like rated our entryway in our apartment. And like my calendar synced Kevin's calendar, synced every calendar. And like every, every, like, like task and chore and like dog schedule. Anything is in this giant calendar. And it syncs to your phone also. It's beautiful.
Brooke
You need this for you and Ben.
Halle
So it's amazing.
Danielle
We have an iPad. Actually, we have an iPad mini that's like the home iPad.
Brooke
Okay.
Danielle
Sync both of our calendars to that. And that's. But it's like, so what, I have to be home to check his schedule? Like. Yeah. Because.
Halle
IPad.
Jazz
Yeah.
Halle
Skylight. Go. There's a skylight app on your phone. So it syncs everything together. And it's like so color coordinated and beautiful. Like, and again, it's just like amazing.
Danielle
What does it look? Does it look like a. The only thing I can.
Halle
It's like an iPad. A bigger. Not much bigger.
Jazz
It's framed, right? Like.
Danielle
Yeah, yeah.
Halle
Or you can also. You can mount it. Yeah. But it's amazing.
Brooke
Wow. Okay, I'm buying.
Jazz
Beautiful.
Danielle
Do you. Will you like, insert stuff on it or you just.
Halle
All I can insert on my phone or on. On itself, like, either or. And it just puts everything together.
Danielle
Intrigued by this. I really need to check this out. You kind of. You have like the Amazon, like echo situation, right?
Brooke
Yeah.
Danielle
So like, could be that.
Brooke
I know, but I don't know if they have things that like, link to Google and stuff. Like, they're very particular.
Halle
Yeah, it links to everything and it's very. It's all color coded by person. So you can like See what's. We have, like, a shared one and then, like, individual ones and, like, work ones and then, like, fun stuff and, like, dinners and everything.
Brooke
So Kevin can see, like, oh, Jazz is going.
Halle
Yeah. I can, like, see, like, his, like, work meetings. Oh, I can't call him right now, like, because he's, like, in this meeting, or, like, oh, like, he can come to this event with me. I don't have to check with him because, like, he's open right now or, like, he isn't or whatever it is. And I can, like, book, like, our flights and stuff without having to ask because, like, I can see, like, when he's busy and when he's not.
Brooke
Do you. Do you utilize the chore chart and all that on there?
Halle
I just put, like, tasks for, like. Like, grocery lists and stuff. Random things, like, the dog stuff, like, chores. Kevin honestly does all of them.
Jazz
I was gonna say what.
Halle
You know, but, like, if, like, I need, like, a dress altered, for example, I'll put, like, that. Like, that needs to get done in there.
Brooke
I'm so influenced. Jazz. Thank you.
Halle
Like, it's amazing. It was, like, so much the best money I ever spent because I was getting, like, earties. I'm like, I don't know if you're available.
Danielle
Like, I know.
Halle
Like, is this. I'm having to ask you too many things. And I was like, oh, this is.
Brooke
What kind of texters are reading. Kevin.
Halle
Kevin doesn't use his phone. He's. He had an iPhone. He had a home button when I met him two years ago, and he had an iPhone. Mini got a new phone last week. I was so excited.
Brooke
All that sort of thing.
Halle
Yes. It was huge. But he doesn't really text at all.
Brooke
Is it, like, calling?
Halle
Yeah. Big FaceTimers.
Brooke
Yeah. How about you? And read. Read.
Jazz
It, like, is genuinely the worst texter. Like, it's. Everything's just so short. But also, he's just, like, a quiet guy in general. I also feel like we literally don't text ever, because we're always together.
Brooke
Yeah.
Jazz
Or, like, if he's at work, I'm not texting him. Like, I feel like our texts are literal. Like, get to the point. Like, can you let the dogs out? Okay.
Halle
Yeah.
Jazz
It's not fun.
Brooke
That's what happens when you start to live with someone.
Halle
Texting is, like, with a purpose.
Jazz
Yeah.
Halle
I feel like if we're talking, it's like a phone call. But, like, texting is, like, there's, like, a. An intention behind that. It's just, like, you need. This needs to be done.
Jazz
Pick this up on the way home.
Danielle
Yeah, exactly.
Jazz
Yeah.
Halle
Sending all information. Can you grab your chicken on the way home?
Brooke
This makes me feel better because Ryan is also, like, textbook terrible texter.
Halle
Like, just.
Danielle
Guys, what are you texting? Like, what's up? Like, well, I guess I've been dating for five years.
Brooke
Sometimes I just want to, like, chit chat because I've been traveling so much.
Halle
Yeah.
Brooke
And he's like, okay, I'll call you. I'm like, we've been getting in little bickers because I'm like, I can't talk on the phone right now. Like, I'm in a room with people. But, like, I do want to converse. And he's like, okay, well, can I just call you? I'm like, no, you can't call me. Like, text me what you're doing right now. Or like, you're right, though. It's. He's like, what do you want to talk about? I'm like, I don't know.
Danielle
I just.
Jazz
To touch base.
Danielle
No, but I think that's, like, sweet.
Halle
There's like, sweet parts to both. Because, like, he wants to talk to you on the phone because, like, it's so sweet. Yeah. But also it's like you just, like, want to have, like, you want to feel like you're close to him. Like, that's the best way to do, like, when you can't be on the phone or together.
Brooke
Right. But no, it. It is nice to. To just do like, the nightly call or something instead.
Halle
Like, I, like, send, like, updates throughout the day. Like, if I'm a stage example, like.
Danielle
Just.
Halle
A funny picture, like something funny that happened. But, like, like, we're not gonna have, like, a deep combo about it till, like, later.
Danielle
No.
Brooke
Yeah. No, Definitely down for that. Don't love that.
Danielle
Yeah, I. I guess when you're traveling, it's different. I feel like that. Yeah. But like, normal day to day, it's like, okay, well, I'll see you later. Yeah. Yeah.
Brooke
Remember the days of, like, what's up? Nothing much. You?
Danielle
Yeah, yeah.
Halle
I'll get, like, memories in my phone of, like, things I posted on Facebook. I'm like, why? Why? Did I talk, like.
Brooke
No, like, NMU or like, I found.
Halle
Like, an old phone. I'm like, this is giving me the ick to a completely different level. Like, I actually need to be sick.
Brooke
Like, it.
Danielle
What?
Halle
I had too much time on my hands to be talking the way that I did.
Brooke
We all were just texting. We're making text tone.
Halle
We just, like, wanted to have, like, a chat all the time. Like, we always had to be like, I'm texting, like, people.
Brooke
Yeah.
Halle
I was like, yeah, from school. And, like, text seven people for zero reason.
Jazz
Yeah, seriously.
Halle
And have like 12 of the same conversation.
Danielle
There's no new information.
Jazz
Or like, snap streaks. Like, you had that snap streaks. To be cool.
Brooke
Holly, yesterday at the airport, there was a girl in front of me, so cute. Like, clearly just. Just did, like a cheer competition or something. She pulled up her snapchat. I wasn't trying to look. I mean, she's scrolling. Probably 30 snap streaks.
Jazz
Oh, no.
Brooke
Yeah, I.
Danielle
And she was actively sent.
Brooke
Yeah, like, emojis next to it. Like, you know, there's, like, stuff.
Jazz
No, it's insane. My, like, college aged brother. I'll, like, go home and I'm like, what is happening? Like, it'll be like. And he'll be clicking through. It's like girls clearly, like, trying.
Danielle
Yeah.
Jazz
Flirt with him. And he's like. Then he'll just snap back like a black screen. I'm like, I hate torturing them, literally.
Halle
And they're like, analyzing the snap for the next, like, three hours.
Jazz
Yeah. I'm watching a snap score if it's.
Halle
Going up or not. Serious.
Jazz
Yeah.
Brooke
Snap score.
Jazz
It's crazy.
Brooke
I am so excited because it's like basically summertime.
Danielle
It feels like it. I mean, you step outside and I'm just like, I'm out of the house these days. Danielle.
Brooke
Brooke is o. O h, out of house. It's like something's in the air where it's making you want to put on your favorite sundress, go on a vacation, head to the Hamptons, whatever. It may be. Like, we have so much to look forward to. And when you have things to look forward to, what do you do?
Danielle
You online shop before shop. And that's why we love Rakuten so, so much because we are really just saving while we shop.
Brooke
It just, you know, Brooke and I like to justify things, and we're able to justify our purchases because we're using Rakuten to get cash back. They have so many stores, you guys, that are available with rakuten. I mean, M.O. they have the cutest jewelry. Blue Mer, Mercury. If you want to get some makeup. We've got ray ban for a new pair of sunglasses. Or if you want to do sunglass hut. Like, there are so many stores that you literally just like, Brooke and I both have it on our browser. So Rakuten. And obviously it already pops up and it's like, hey, do you Want cash back on this? And I'm like, yeah, I do.
Danielle
You don't have to do anything extra. Like, just get that browser extension. You could also get the app. Right now they're doing, like, a huge deal. It's their Rakuten big give week. You get 15% cash back for a limited time only from May 5 to May 12. This is just the biggest. Like, if you're missing out on this, like, you are missing out. And this is like, really just the hottest time to be using Rakuten. So if you were like, maybe wanting to make a purchase somewhere online and maybe like, waiting, because, you know, like, it's. It's like that weird in between time where it's like, not the holidays and it's like, like, where are the sales? Like, no, that is why we love Rakuten for this, because they are giving amazing cash back percentages. And I mean, that. That's an excuse for me to shop right now.
Brooke
It's an excuse for us to shop. I also love it because it feels just so easy, like we were saying, because the money just gets automatically sent to your paypal. Like, I mean, how nice is that? That you're shopping? Boom, boom. And it's not even something you have to think about. You just connect your PayPal and then I'll get, like, a payment on PayPal. I'm like, oh, my God, I got paid for shopping. This feels illegal. I love it.
Danielle
You know, it really is the best. And I just love that Rakuten has so many, like, retail partners, so you really can save on, like, fashion and beauty and home and travel. I mean, I saw that, like, hotels.com, right? Like, how amazing is that?
Brooke
There's Fenty Beauty, there's Kiehl's. Like, I feel like a lot of my friends use kills like skin care. So it's like, why wouldn't you be getting some cash back from this? Like, it's. There's so many brands, like, Stanley. I mean, there's so many Stanley girlies.
Danielle
Out of our Stanley's now.
Brooke
I mean, no, I know we've got them right in front of us. Bombas, Brooks, Brook.
Danielle
My socks.
Brooke
Of course I see them. You know, so it's just like that little thing. Like, I feel like your mom has talked about using Rakuten. Like, it's just. I need to get my mom on it. Like, it's just too easy. And it's something like, why wouldn't you just set this up for yourself? And like, once you set it up, it's like, Basically, boom, done. It pops up. You're like, okay, cash back? Yes, please. So we love Rakuten for that.
Danielle
We absolutely do. And once again, right now is their big give week. The stores we mentioned, plus many more, are at 15% cash back for a limited time only from May 5th. 5th to May 12th. So definitely check out Rakuten. I definitely have some things that I've, like, you know, added to my card, but I'm like, you know, I haven't quite done it yet, but, like, now I feel like this is the perfect time to get, like, that designer pair of sunglasses that I've been wanting and I, like, have the dupes for them, you know, I. I deserve it.
Brooke
Yes. It's time for summer.
Danielle
Thank you. Okay, so if you guys are not already on Rakuten, I. I truly don't know what you're doing. I'm just. I'm just telling you, you gotta do it. Membership is free, and when you sign up and shop today, you get a 20 welcome bonus. That's. That's extra cash on top of the 15 cash back. You won't see higher cash back rates than these. Go to rackuten.com or download the Rakuten app to start saving today. R A K U T E N Your cash back really adds up. Rackuten.com terms apply.
Halle
Nothing was worse than when they showed you people's best friends.
Brooke
That was.
Danielle
That was a criminal time.
Halle
That was honestly really good, though. Like, I. That was like a crazy tea time.
Jazz
Yeah.
Halle
Wow.
Brooke
Like, I'm his.
Halle
I know. Yeah. And like, in someone's would change. People would be talking about it.
Jazz
It was like, crazy what kept people loyal. I feel like you can't be, like, switching best friends because it's like, your girlfriend's gonna be mad.
Danielle
No, it revealed a lot about, like, I feel like, who liked each other and stuff.
Jazz
Yeah.
Danielle
We're being like, oh, those two are talking. Okay.
Halle
Everyone was like, in the night.
Danielle
Yeah, I think it was. I must have been like 9th or 10th grade when that happened. Right? Like, you guys are a few years younger. You're like, yeah, sixth grade. That was crazy.
Halle
Exactly.
Danielle
I do remember because I remember talking to. Talking to someone, you know, and I was like, oh, these girls that he's also Snapchatting. Like, this is my.
Halle
This is who I'm competing with.
Danielle
That's literally me. I was like, he has a type. Okay.
Brooke
He, like, sp. No, of course I was doing that too. Same.
Halle
Like the Instagram following tab. I kind of missed that tab.
Danielle
Like, when you can See, like, blah, blah, blah. Like, like, post, oh, blah, blah, blah, followed.
Halle
I'm just a nosy person, so I like to be, like, up in people's business.
Danielle
You ever, like, like, I don't have my venmos on public, but do you ever, like, whenever I Venmo someone, like, it brings you to the feed. Yeah, I was deep. Someone so into that. So I guess this is his new girlfriend. Someone that I haven't seen in legitimately, like, recently.
Jazz
You did this?
Danielle
I did this, like, last week. I was like, oh, they're venoing each other back and forth for rent. I see everything.
Brooke
I do see a lot of random people in the future.
Jazz
No, I'll, like, judge what people are, like, venmoing for too. I'll be like, McDonald's. Like, you really needed your friend to venmo you for McDonald's? Like, then I'm like, girl, well, you don't know what that was for. Just like, leave it alone.
Halle
Like, why do you have it on public? Like, I don't think people know that.
Danielle
You can put it on private. If you're listening to this, you can put it on private.
Brooke
I'm telling you, you don't need to see. You're paying for electricity.
Halle
I think we need more of that. Like, more privacy.
Danielle
But also, like, it really is. Whoever invented Venmo is like, let's put this feed on public. Like, you were dialed to some.
Halle
Like, it's not social media. It shouldn't be. It's just like, oh, it's currency exchange.
Brooke
When it comes to being nosy, though, I am such a story replier. Like, I am in. Brooke knows this. Like, I am like, even if I barely know someone. Like, where are you going?
Halle
No, I'm the same way. And I will if I see something. Like, I wish I knew more information. I will text you. Yeah, I don't care if we're not that close. I. I will ask you. Bridget has been posting less lately, and I text her last night, are you starting a business or something? Like, why are you posting less? She's like, no, I'm just like, big things off week. I'm like, okay, well, it's. You posted a lot less recently.
Jazz
Yeah, I'm just curious.
Brooke
No Jazz in the same way or like, there's like, a hand on. I'm like, so who's that guy?
Halle
I have zero shame. Like, I'll ask.
Danielle
I'll just wonder. Like, I'll see the hand. I'm like, oh, no.
Brooke
She'll be like, I wonder and I'm like, oh, let me just ask. Like, I.
Danielle
There's some people I will ask, but, like, it has to be really, really worth it.
Brooke
You have to be put your dick on the table and like, yes.
Danielle
Like, if it's someone that I've, like, met once or twice, like, I'm not going to say, like, what brand are you going on the trip? Like, I don't. I don't want to say that. Like, I just don't, you know, but if it's someone that I'm friendly with.
Brooke
And it's like, yeah, knowing also, if.
Danielle
It'S on close friends. Sometimes I do feel like they're asking for it.
Halle
Oh, close friends. They're actually begging you.
Danielle
That makes you feel more validated.
Halle
Thank you afterwards for, like, being curious.
Brooke
Cuz then it's almost weirder if you're watching all the, like, some people's close friends. I didn't ask to be on and I'm on and like, I feel bad not reply.
Danielle
Yeah, I feel like engag. Give it a.
Brooke
Like, I need to learn to like stories. I. I'm still new to do that. Really?
Danielle
I started to. When I don't have anything to say, but I'm like, I apprec. Like, some moment with your mom or something. Like, I'll give it a. Like, you know, but I'm not going to be like, love her. Like, I've never met the woman.
Halle
I do.
Brooke
Yeah, that's true. Okay, so I do want to get back to your wedding. Just leap. Jazz. I'm so excited. It's very soon when this episode comes out, I want to know, is there anything, like, unique or anything that Kevin has really had an opinion on with the wedding?
Halle
Kevin and I are walking down the aisle together, and we're also walking towards everyone. So, like, instead of everyone turning around, we're walking the opposite direction. So it's. Everyone's just, like, facing forward and we're walking. Exactly.
Brooke
This is so genius.
Halle
Like, we're on different sides, then we're meeting in the middle and then are walking down together.
Danielle
That is beautiful. The pictures are gonna. I know, I know. It's not just for the pictures. It's gonna be. Because you'll actually be able to see it versus, like, you can see the back of someone.
Halle
I love them, so I'm super excited.
Brooke
Wow.
Danielle
So you don't even go down the aisle or you.
Halle
I go down the aisle. Just go towards it. Like, there's a different. Isn't the aisle.
Jazz
Like there's two aisles?
Danielle
Yeah, I see.
Halle
This is an aisle that you would, like, walk down where all the chairs are. Like, you would walk to go to your seat. Like, a different aisle the other way, like, of me walking up towards.
Jazz
And all the bridesmaids are walking, like, the normal way.
Halle
Yeah.
Jazz
And then they're.
Danielle
Love it. Are you guys standing up there? Yes. Oh, that's so nice. Everyone's gonna look so chic.
Brooke
Oh, I love that code moment. Yeah, it's really cute. And that was something. Something that you guys.
Halle
Yeah. Everyone's also wearing black. Not just, like, our parties, but everyone who comes to the wedding is wearing black. I didn't want anyone, like, wearing, like, a pale yellow or, like, a lavender. Like, wearing black and white photos. Looks like you're wearing white. So I was like, safe. Everyone wear black. Also, like, everyone has a black dress, and it's very easy to find a black dress. So I just thought made it simple for everything.
Brooke
No, I feel like weddings. Oh.
Halle
Like, people always make videos. Like, what should I wear? Like, is this okay for a wedding?
Danielle
Like, we had this chat last night.
Brooke
I literally texted Brooke a silver dress I bought for another wedding. I was like, it's just too white. It's like, why is it so annoying to even have to think about that?
Halle
Yeah. Like, black. Simple. Easy. Yeah. Things Kevin cared about. Just the seating chart and, like, the dj. Like, the songs.
Danielle
Oh, those.
Halle
Like, the two main things.
Danielle
How specific did you get with the songs? Were you, like, you gave, like, a.
Halle
We gave a long list, but there's also, like. We gave. We had, like, a meeting with, like, the DJ to go over, like, general vibe and, like, things to add or things to, like, the requests that can be taken. Requests that can't be taken.
Brooke
Oh, so you're gonna allow requests.
Danielle
Yeah.
Brooke
Okay.
Halle
Like, I'm. I'm good with requests, but, like, if you request a song that's, like, I'm a do not play, it's not getting played, you know? Yeah, exactly. That's.
Brooke
That's really good. I actually don't know. Like, that's so nice of you to allow requests.
Halle
Yeah. Because if it's gonna bring the vibe.
Brooke
Yeah.
Halle
But also be like, turn that off if I hate it.
Brooke
Yeah. Yeah.
Jazz
All the requests will be coming from you. Like that. You know what?
Halle
I. I do want more Taylor Swift.
Jazz
Yeah.
Halle
I don't care what anyone says.
Jazz
Yeah.
Halle
That's the energy I'll be giving.
Danielle
Are you guys doing any sort of dance?
Halle
No. First dance. Not doing any first dance either. Kevin's doing one with his mom, which, like, is was important to Her. And that's totally fine. I just don't. I already have enough staring of me going on during that day. I don't need more of it. And, like, us dancing, I just. I feel it's not my vibe.
Brooke
Yeah.
Halle
So I was like.
Brooke
So no garter?
Halle
No. When that.
Brooke
No. Are you throwing?
Halle
No. No. I'm, like, honestly not really doing anything traditional other than the fact that, like, we're getting married.
Brooke
Yeah.
Halle
Like, we, like, cut, like, everything.
Brooke
It'll just be a party.
Halle
Yeah, that was. That was the main goal. Like, and we're doing all the pictures beforehand, so, like, we can actually be at cocktail hour and enjoy it. I want to be in part of everything.
Brooke
I know. Not being a part of the cocktail hour, I would have so much fun.
Halle
Yeah. Like, there's food. I want to eat.
Brooke
Yeah, I know. I've been hungry, too.
Halle
Yeah, exactly.
Danielle
And I feel like it's a lot of the time. I mean, I say this, but I'm definitely gonna do it at my wedding. Like, the staged photos and whatever. But, like, it does get to a point where it's like, okay, like, you know, how many stay, Like. Yeah.
Brooke
Now we need this combo of people.
Halle
Exactly.
Danielle
Yeah.
Halle
Give up a whole list of everything, and we'll get them down.
Brooke
You'll make it happen.
Danielle
Yeah. Because you want to be able to enjoy. I mean, if you're planning this day, it's, like, your perfect day. Like, you want to.
Halle
I want to get my money's worth.
Danielle
Yeah.
Halle
Literally.
Brooke
And, Holly, this is your first time being the maid of honor, right?
Jazz
First real wedding I've ever been to.
Halle
Also, but way to go big.
Jazz
Yeah. Yeah. I'm. I'm really excited.
Halle
The first.
Jazz
And then the next wedding I'm going to, I'm also a bridesmaid, so I'm like, wow. Really? Just, like, in it to win it here. But I'm very excited. Yeah.
Brooke
You'll be fixing the dress.
Jazz
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Brooke
Or maybe not.
Halle
Well, there's a lot of changes.
Jazz
Yeah.
Halle
I have three. I'm doing three dresses, so Halle will be helping me.
Jazz
Yeah.
Halle
Get in and out of these.
Danielle
So three. Three dresses total.
Halle
Yes. Ceremony, reception, and then after party.
Danielle
Oh, that is.
Brooke
That's, like, the perfect amount.
Halle
Yeah.
Brooke
I feel like three is.
Halle
Yeah. I tried to do more, but I was like, there's not enough time.
Brooke
Yeah. Like, when would the fourth be? I know. I know people do it. I just don't know when.
Danielle
Four dresses.
Halle
Yeah.
Brooke
Yeah. I've seen people do it. I'm like, when.
Halle
I would just miss too much of the party be changing. And I was like, I want a party.
Brooke
Will your hair be the same for all of them? Same, yeah. Will you have like your glam on.
Halle
Site doing touchups or what are you thinking I need? Cuz I got my glam done and I was like. And it lasted like 12 hours.
Danielle
It looked amazing.
Brooke
Cara's incredible.
Halle
She's amazing. So I was like, I test. I was like, I don't think I need. And like my hair is like slicked and curled. So like, I think it'll be fine.
Jazz
I feel like if you just have some powder, you can let like press it yourself.
Brooke
A little powder, yeah.
Halle
I'm not worried.
Brooke
Powder and some lip, you'll be good to go.
Halle
I'm also going to be like, too drunk to care, to be honest. Like, I'm going to be so real. Like, that's what's happening.
Jazz
Yeah.
Brooke
That's why I'm with like, lips. I'm like, once my lips are on for the day, they're not com. Like, I don't really reapply a lot.
Halle
You reapply a lot? I guess I feel like you always are putting on more lips.
Danielle
Broke.
Brooke
I want to be.
Halle
Which I love that about you.
Brooke
I just.
Danielle
I think it fades fast on me that, like, that's why I constantly feel like I have to reapply.
Halle
Yeah.
Jazz
I also. I feel like I brush my teeth a lot too. So then I always. I brush my teeth like seven times a day.
Brooke
You're my dentist, dentistry.
Jazz
I don't know if that's actually good for you. I feel like it's really bad.
Danielle
How abrasive are we talking? Like electric toothbrush? I'm like, toothbrush?
Jazz
Yeah. Just like.
Danielle
Well, I don't know.
Jazz
I feel like you're not supposed to do that.
Danielle
You're supposed to mix in. I think like you use like the one that's like good for your enamel and stuff.
Brooke
Oh, yeah, I gotta. Yeah, I'm. I'm on a regimen right now with my teeth. Really? Yeah. But yeah, I have a prescription too.
Halle
You only get one set of teeth. You got to take care of them, right?
Brooke
Yeah, I've gotten too many fillings that I just can't. I can't really have any more cavities.
Halle
That's fair. It's tough though.
Brooke
I brush my teeth. It's just my teeth genetics where, like.
Halle
It'S like you just are more prone to.
Brooke
Yeah. I'm convinced it's because I do not have wisdom teeth. There's no wisdom to be had. So I think God said, here, instead, I will give you cavities.
Halle
Okay.
Brooke
Which I'm fine with because I'm, like, terrified of it. Like, of having to do wisdom teeth surgery.
Halle
I still have mine. I've never.
Brooke
You guys are so wise.
Danielle
Yeah.
Halle
I need to get them out at some point.
Brooke
They say you have to.
Jazz
Because some people I don't know, they've never said anything.
Halle
I got told. Like, I didn't then, like, maybe actually you should. Not yet. But, like, I don't want to get to the point where they do. But I always get told the past few times, like, you should probably get these taken out. But I'm like, I don't have time. Maybe after the wedding. I don't have time.
Jazz
Like, if I'm doing a surgery, it's elective.
Halle
I do not want to be me. Like, I'm choosing everything.
Danielle
Like, no, you're so real.
Halle
Multiple things at once.
Brooke
I'm like, while you're in there, please.
Danielle
Seriously, give me a fresh set.
Brooke
Give me a. No, literally, give me a brush set. So you're doing a honeymoon? Yes, yes. A little bit after.
Halle
Yeah, we're going. We get married on Saturday, and then we go on the honeymoon on Monday.
Danielle
So you'll pack before?
Halle
Oh, yes, yes. Fully packed beforehand. Because I think I might have a two day hangover.
Brooke
Yeah, it's gonna be brutal.
Halle
Yeah.
Brooke
But, like, it's be the best hangover you had will be knocking on your door, like, can we hang now?
Halle
Yeah, she'll probably be, like, in the Hamptons, like, drinking, like, having a fun Memorial Day weekend.
Danielle
Oh, yeah, because it's Memorial Day.
Brooke
The weather's gonna be stunning.
Halle
I might just, like, wake up and feel amazing because of the adrenaline and, like, continue to party.
Jazz
Well, I feel like you're gonna be missed because you're gonna have to leave and go back to the city. Right. Like, during that day.
Halle
I don't have to.
Jazz
You're just gonna stay?
Halle
I mean, I could. I don't. I'll cross that bridge when I get. Yeah.
Jazz
Like, also, like, you handle a hangover better than anybody I've ever seen.
Halle
I get them bad, but I persevere.
Jazz
I'm like, if I was, like, truly sick, throwing up all day, like, I'd be like, I'm sorry. Like, I can't leave. Like, we're just going to book another night of this hotel and I'm going to stay here. But you, like, will get in the car and, like, make the car pull over to throw up, but you'll, like, get in that car. You know what I'm saying?
Brooke
That's so impressive.
Jazz
It is impressive.
Halle
I'll puke in that trash bag all the way home.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah. It's the nausea. It's the nausea. It's like, what are you. Yeah. Do you have any remedies, though? You smoke a lot of weed mentality. Oh, I have heard that helps.
Halle
Yeah, Yeah. I smoke when I wake up and I'm hungover, and, like, that helps quite a bit with. With the headache and honestly with the nausea too. And then I just ride it out. I will say, like, if I can eat before the real nauseous kicks in, I'm. I'm good for the day. If I can't get food in my system before the nausea hits. Screwed. Like, because you can't force yourself to eat when you're nauseous and about to puke.
Brooke
It's the worst. It just comes right back up.
Halle
Exactly. And then everything seems gross all day, and then you just actually can't eat, and then just. You get worse and worse and you can't get hydrated and all that stuff.
Brooke
But what are you gonna do? Well, I'm sending you really good vibes for the day after your wedding.
Halle
I think it'll be. I mean, I'm Drink a lot of water boy and call it a day.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Halle can be on water duty. Like, give me water in between.
Danielle
Yeah. And then with the water boy, it's like, times five.
Halle
Yeah, it'll be good.
Danielle
Well, hydrated.
Halle
Hydrated after party is like, just water boy, basically.
Danielle
That is so fun. Are you doing, like, a. Like, a breakfast the morning after or anything? Like, if it's.
Halle
No, like, that's honestly too much. That kind of commitment. I would be at brunch, like, hey, everybody in between.
Danielle
Some people make it, like, a full wedding weekend itinerary of activities.
Halle
So it's like, a whole day is enough for me personally. Like, we're doing, like, a little family welcome thing the night before, but, like, that's just, like, small, light, casual.
Brooke
Yeah, yeah. Like, agreeing to a breakfast the next day is really.
Jazz
No, that's a big commitment.
Brooke
I just want, like, all of my bridesmaids to come and sit on my bed with me and chat.
Halle
Yeah. Debrief.
Brooke
Yeah, I think that's good. And you can all be hungover together or bagels.
Danielle
Yeah.
Halle
What I miss about, like, being younger is, like, having people I could just be, like, in bed with, like, recapping the crazy things of, like, the previous night. Special.
Brooke
Delusional.
Halle
Yeah.
Danielle
Yeah. It's literally the best. I can't believe it's, like, already coming up. I feel like we were just talking about, like, I feel like you were just, I mean, getting engaged. And then it flew by and by so quickly.
Halle
About a year. I got engaged last April, so like, been like a little over a year.
Brooke
I loved the video you did of hugging all the different guys and seeing which one was that was H's idea.
Jazz
I did learn to do that.
Brooke
I really enjoyed it.
Danielle
Yeah, it was really great.
Brooke
I feel like you, like, tapped everyone.
Halle
I literally did. I was, like, in a silly, goofy mood at that point. I had a few shots and I was like, oh, this is funny freaking shots.
Brooke
I. We need to take shots on your wedding day. Are you gonna take shots?
Halle
Oh, yes.
Brooke
Okay.
Halle
Perfect.
Danielle
Perfect.
Halle
Kevin's like, you're gonna be really sick. I was like, yeah, yeah, but it'll be worth it.
Brooke
I know. It's like when you take that shot just feels so good in that moment.
Halle
Yeah. Everyone's like, once I do it with you, it's like, it's your wedding. Everyone's like, hype and excited.
Brooke
You're so popular that, like.
Halle
Yeah, literally, I'm like, yeah, it's crazy.
Brooke
No, I know.
Danielle

Once the temp started rising, I realized I was back in the same worn out rotation. Same tank top, same shorts, same everything. So I gave my daily uniform an upgrade with quints. Their pieces are easy, elevated and somehow make me feel more put together without even trying. Like I've been talking about quints forever. My mom loves quints like we all love quint. They have 100% European linen shorts and dresses from $30 Luxe Swimwear, Italian leather platform sandals, and so much more. The best part, everything with quince is priced 50 to 80% less than what you'd find at similar brands. By working with top artisans and cutting out the middleman, Quince gives you luxury without the markup. And quince only works with factories that use safe, ethical and responsible manufacturing practices and premium fabrics and finishes. I personally love this beautiful cashmere sweater that I got from Quinn's. It's the perfect layering piece for summer because I feel like especially actually in New York, it's like so hot in the day and then it gets a little chilly at night. So I need that like light coastal grand energy sweater. So I have this one from Quinn's that I literally use all the time. It's just this beautiful cream color and I throw it over my shoulders and it gives warmth or I'll wear it on the airplane, stuff like that. I also have a really cute little jewelry like travel jewelry holder that I love from Quinn's. I have a really good pair of cashmere socks from Quinn's. Seriously, they have some great stuff like, like iconic. Cuz I feel like I'm traveling all the time in the summer. So I'm like I need my socks, I need my sweat. Like I need it all. Treat your closet to a little summer glow up with quint. Go to quint.comgals for free shipping on your order and 365 day returns. That's Q-U-I-N C E.comgals to get free shipping and 365 day returns. Quint.comgals and you guys are also. I feel like traveling so much in between. Like, actually, how are you guys maintaining your lifestyle? Like, both of you have such healthy, good lifestyles, and you're also traveling every day. How are we doing this?
Halle
Yeah, well, I don't work out nearly as much anymore. You stay really good about that, Howie.
Jazz
I don't know.
Brooke
I feel like you just love it.
Halle
It's literally, you have built that habit so strong, and it's like, so part of your routine, I feel like.
Jazz
I mean. Yeah, I just, like, it's. I don't think of it as like, a, should I work out today? I just, like, give myself no option. When am I finding my workout today? Like, I've just kind. Kind of created that mentality. The only time I won't work out is, like, for example, tomorrow we're going to stagecoach at 7am and I'm just like, there's actually, like, no time to do that. And, like, I'm just like, that's fine. It's a rest day. Like, it's not a big deal. But I don't know, I feel like I've also just become so used to. I've literally been gone probably every weekend since March, like, beginning of March. So, like, two months straight of, like, on a plane every single week. But I don't know. Then. Yeah, I just have to, like, hop back into my routine for the days that I'm back, and then I just leave again.
Brooke
Do you guys get sick?
Halle
I get sick all the time.
Brooke
Oh, you are?
Jazz
Yeah. Like, I. I'm. Yeah, I'm like, yeah.
Halle
The first three months of the year, I was sick back to back, nonstop. Yeah, it was horrible.
Brooke
No, that happened to me like, a month or two when we were on tour. I was, like, losing my voice. Oh, my God. Like, what are you. Yeah, that happened.
Halle
Yeah, being. And then the two days, like, I'm home, like, trying to get everything done in between, and I just feel like.
Brooke
I know.
Halle
And then it's like, I finally get better and it's like, oh, I guess.
Brooke
Yeah.
Halle
But I. This is like, the longest I've been.
Danielle
Do you like traveling like this?
Halle
I love it only because, like, I don't want to be this forever. I really appreciate the fact that I have such flexibility and, like, can, like, say yes to everything and go do it all. And, like, get to have all these experiences, like, with people that. My best friend. Like, we do all this fun stuff together, but, like, I won't be able to, like, at a drop of a hat, do that forever.
Danielle
Yeah.
Jazz
Yeah.
Halle
So I'm enjoying it a lot right now. Now.
Jazz
Yeah, I. I like it a lot. I wasn't loving it, I'm gonna be honest, because I had such bad flight anxiety, but it's almost been, like, exposure therapy, where it's so much better. But, like, I would genuinely dread going on a trip, like, Like, a week. I would have the worst anxiety. Like, I was literally, like, when those planes. Like, when the plane crashed, like, in January, I was truly not okay. I was about to be like, jazz, I cannot go on your Bachelorette. Like, I'm sorry. I love you. I can't get there. I'm gonna have to take a boat. But I'm just, like, literally. But I've been doing it, and so I've been, like, so much better, so I've actually been, like, fine with. Not really stressed about the flight as much. I just feel a little bit bad being away from my dog so much because I've literally been gone literally every week, so.
Brooke
But you live with someone. Thank God.
Jazz
Yeah.
Brooke
He doesn't always, unfortunately.
Jazz
He's traveled with me a lot recently.
Brooke
Yeah.
Jazz
Just because of, like, the random timing of stuff. But he's not coming, obviously, like, to Stagecoach, so it is nice to, like.
Brooke
Yeah.
Jazz
Not feel like my dogs are always at the dog sitting.
Danielle
Better. And you have help.
Halle
And even with a good dog sitter, like, it just, like, it just, like, sucks being away from your dog.
Jazz
Yeah.
Halle
Like, you miss your dogs. You're like, oh, like, you're dropping them off, picking them up, and it's like. It's also, like, a lot of back and forth for them, like, which they obviously do fine with, but it's just, like. It's sad. Like, I, like, miss my dogs, too.
Brooke
No, it's the worst. Can we talk about how dachshunds are, like, having a moment? Are you, like, like, oh, my God.
Jazz
I'm, like, I feel like I'm the OG Influencer.
Brooke
I. I do. You're the first influencer I saw, like, really lean into the dachshunds.
Jazz
I will y.
Brooke
That.
Jazz
I mean, I. I. I will say, like, not. Not to say. Like, I just think they're becoming more.
Brooke
Popular, and they're the new golden Doodle.
Jazz
They are.
Brooke
They're everywhere.
Jazz
But I. I mean, I had one when I was, like, 5 years old.
Brooke
So when you were Younger too.
Jazz
Like, he was like my first dog and Rudy was his name and he was everything. Like we got him like at that time, he literally. We went to like a breeder. He cost a hundred dollars, I think, which is now they're like like 3, 4, 5 grand, which is insane. But yeah, we, we had him and he was the best dog ever. Like my whole family was obsessed with him. And then he had this like degenerative back issue where he like blew out his back. My parents paid an absurd amount of money for a surgery. And he had literal stitches from his neck to his tail all the way down his back. Like whole back shaved. It was like very scary looking. But he like recovered. We were so happy and that happened again. So we had to put him down when he was like like seven. So my whole family was like heartbroken. No dachshunds ever again. Like, we're traumatized from that. They got a lab and they called it a day. But I was always like, I will have a dachshund when I like can get a dog. So I got my dog Finley like three years ago, just about. And I don't think dachshunds were that popular at the time. Like they weren't like non existent. But I feel like it was more of an older person dog. Like a lot of grandmas had dachshunds and that was kind of the thing. But then now everyone has a dachshund.
Brooke
Everyone in New York specifically. Is it because they don't need to go for as long of walks? What's the draw?
Jazz
They're pretty energetic. Like they do need to walk, but they're short legs. Yeah. I don't know. They. I mean my dogs walk really long, to be honest. They do, but they're. There's. I mean, they're a small dog breed. So I'm sure that's like a draw of having.
Halle
It's easier like for apartments in general. And they like, like you can get around like with traveling and stuff. I feel like a lot of influence are traveling often and you can travel like with the dachshund, like because they're a small dog.
Jazz
Yeah.
Danielle
Do you feel like their temperament too? Like I've. I have a friend who's long haired dachshund. Right. Like, so what, what's the difference? You guys have short hair or. I have also long hair.
Jazz
I have one long hair and two short or. Yeah, one long. Too short.
Danielle
I don't know if that makes a difference. But I have to say it's like the chillest Dog ever. Like, the temperament is amazing of this dog. Like, it's just a great dog. I don't know if that's.
Halle
It also depends on, like, that's like with any dog, it depends on the personality. Like, you can get like two dogs from the same, like, litter and like one dog will be very different personality wise from the other.
Jazz
Yeah. Like my, Honestly, my, the girl dog I have is insane. And then the two boys are like, actually really chill. And I have heard that's pretty common because the girl dachshunds are like the worst dog to potty train like, of any. But the boys were easier.
Brooke
Interesting. No, I just had to bring that up because I, My whole feed right now is girls holding everyone.
Halle
Yeah.
Brooke
I mean, they're adorable.
Jazz
I know they're adorable.
Brooke
I, I, I love it too, because for the longest time, similar to you, I grew up with a labradoodle. Like before I remember when my dad was like, we're getting a labradoodle. I was like, what is that? Yeah, that's a weird dog. All my friends have golden retrievers and labs. And then we obviously fell in love with our dog Miley and she passed away. And now like, we have another doodle named Finley.
Jazz
Yes.
Brooke
But it was like, now whenever I tell someone I have a doodle, they're like, oh, of course you do. I'm like, no, like, like I grew up with one and I loved them so much. So it's funny that this is happening for docs.
Jazz
Yeah. It's like when you, like have a niche band that you love and then everyone, it becomes like mainstream. Like if you loved One Direction and then all of a sudden they're everywhere and you're like, guys, like.
Brooke
What did you used to call dachshunds?
Danielle
Dash hound. Oh.
Halle
Because I read them like everyone does.
Danielle
Oh, I know. I thought it was two different things. I read it like that. I was like, so cute. Familiar with this dachshund, but I know.
Brooke
I remember dying laughing at that.
Danielle
Yeah. No, but like, why the is it spelled like that? That's.
Jazz
I know, it's German. They were like, I think they were hunting dogs in Germany. Like, they would go on badger holes. That's what they're bred for. Or whatever. Cuz they're like, I love to hear.
Halle
The history of what dogs are for. Fascinating.
Jazz
Mine just bark at random noises outside.
Danielle
Weren't they all kind of like for like. I feel like a lot of them were for calling or like notifying.
Halle
I haven't had, I have Japanese. And he was Bred to herd chickens.
Danielle
Yeah. Okay.
Brooke
That's like, period.
Halle
And he's good at hurting.
Brooke
He's good at hurting, baby.
Danielle
You guys are influenced.
Halle
I'm like this, what do you want a dog?
Danielle
Kind of. But like, I do the lifestyle again. And I know that you guys have dog sitters and, like, make it work and stuff, but I will say, like.
Halle
You have to find a time where, like, you're really not traveling for like six months because of potty training. It's very. It's also. It's tough for you as an owner to potty train a dog when you're gone so much because they can't get into the routine of what potty training is, and a dog sitter can't really do that for you. But also, like, it's also not fair to the dog because they get so confused if you're, like, trying to potty train them and, like, you're leaving all the time and they're going to a different environment and trying to figure it out, like, that stuff. So I would say wait till you have, like a good six months where you're barely traveling.
Brooke
Yeah, this is fair.
Jazz
It's also just. You don't even, like, think about how much it truly affects. Affects every moment of your life.
Halle
It's like having a child.
Jazz
It is. It's actually like, I'm just like, I get woken up to my dogs, like, wanting to go outside, all this stuff. Like, you can't. You can't just sleep in. It's all these little things that you don't really think about. But on the daily, I. I think about how much I just did for my dogs throughout the day. I have three. So that's like a little bit the.
Halle
Amount we spend like, in vet bills and like, dogs, dogs that are especially, like, there's a lot of costs that come with.
Danielle
These are all my hesitations, by the way. This is why I haven't like, like, if I want something, I usually get it. I'm that type of person. But like, dogs, I feel like it has been an more of a.
Halle
And it's. It is a big, big decision. But also, I love my dogs. I can't imagine, like, coming home when, like, my dogs aren't excited to see me. Like, if I didn't. I love. That's the best part of my day. And, like, I love, like, sleeping with my dogs and, like, waking up to my dogs and like, even, like, it's annoying that my dogs will take up the entire bed and, like, I like, push them off to like, pull my blanket up and like, oh, like, they want to snuggle with me. Like, know no one will love you more than your dogs will love you. And like, I love, love, love having my dogs. I love our dogs playing together. And I love seeing her dogs. Like, it brings so much joy. But it is, like, a lot of work.
Danielle
I would like it, I think, also for the community element. Like, I feel like I'm. I moved to Brooklyn. I'm, like, struggling a little bit in terms of, like, f. Not. Not struggling so hardcore. But, like, I think it would help with, like, finding other dog owners, like, in my building or just in the area.
Halle
Like a quick conversation starter. Like, if you have a dog, people like, oh, like, oh, my gosh, so cute. Kai pet them. Like, oh, fine. Like, it brings, like, community.
Brooke
How big is he gonna get? How old is he?
Jazz
Yeah, yeah.
Brooke
Question.
Jazz
It also gives you a purpose when you're walking a lot of times too. Like, sometimes I'll be like, I want to go on a walk, but I have nowhere to go. I don't need. Like, you know, I'm just randomly walking around. I'll be like, I'm walking my dogs right now.
Brooke
Yeah, so true.
Danielle
Do you walk all three at once?
Jazz
Yes, usually. Like, sometimes Reed will be with me, but like, also, I don't. It was hard for a while, cuz Rusty's blind.
Halle
Yeah.
Jazz
So getting him to walk was a struggle, but he actually, like, uses other dogs as a guide dog now, so having all of them together is like, he'll walk in the middle of them and they'll just kind of like, oh, that is so hurt him along. It's so sweet.
Brooke
Yeah, dog talk. I know Brook and I have puppy fever. Thank you guys so much for coming on the podcast. I'm obsessed with you guys, and this was a collab that needed to happen.

Podcast Summary: Gals on the Go – Episode: "Weddings & Weenies with Halley Kate + Jaz"
Release Date: May 7, 2025
Host/Authors: Brooke Miccio and Danielle Carolan
Guests: Halley Kate and Jaz
In this vibrant episode of Gals on the Go, hosts Brooke Miccio and Danielle Carolan welcome special guests Halley Kate and Jaz to discuss a blend of wedding planning intricacies, beauty routines, travel habits, and the joys and challenges of dog ownership. The conversation is infused with relatable anecdotes, humor, and heartfelt insights, providing listeners with an engaging blend of personal stories and practical advice.
Unique Ceremony Elements
Halley Kate shares innovative ideas for her upcoming wedding, emphasizing simplicity and personal touches. She explains a unique approach to their aisle walk:
"Kevin and I are walking down the aisle together, and we're also walking towards everyone. So, instead of everyone turning around, we're walking the opposite direction. Everyone's just facing forward and we're walking."
— Halley Kate [43:27]
This approach allows guests to see the couple clearly as they walk down the aisle, enhancing the visual experience for photographs and the overall ambiance.
Dress Code and Guest Attire
Halley Kate opted for a monochromatic dress code, requesting all guests to wear black. This decision was driven by aesthetic preferences and practicality:
"Everyone's also wearing black. Not just our parties, but everyone who comes to the wedding is wearing black. I didn't want anyone wearing a pale yellow or a lavender. Wearing black and white photos look like you're wearing white, so I was safe."
— Halley Kate [44:24]
This choice simplifies the attire decisions for guests and ensures a cohesive look in wedding photos.
Music and DJ Coordination
The couple placed great importance on their DJ selection and song choices. They collaborated to create a comprehensive playlist, allowing guests to request songs while maintaining control over the overall vibe:
"We gave a long list, but we also had a meeting with the DJ to go over the general vibe and things to add or requests that can be taken and those that can't be."
— Halley Kate [45:07]
This balance ensures that the music enhances the celebration without deviating from the desired atmosphere.
First Dance and Traditional Elements
Opting out of traditional first dances, Halley Kate and Jaz decided on more personalized elements. Halley Kate chose not to have a garter toss or a first dance, focusing instead on enjoying the festivities and maintaining a relaxed environment:
"I'm doing three dresses – ceremony, reception, and after-party. I don't need more of it, and I want to enjoy the party."
— Halley Kate [45:07]
This decision underscores their preference for authenticity and enjoyment over adhering to conventional wedding norms.
Hair Color Maintenance
The conversation delves into the challenges of maintaining hair color, particularly transitioning between brunette and blonde shades. Jaz shares her experience with blonde hair maintenance:
"I'm trying to stray away from the bleach and just go back towards my natural color because I can't do it anymore. It's not fun."
— Jaz [02:51]
Halley Kate discusses her upcoming eyebrow microblading procedure to address sparse areas, highlighting the importance of researching and choosing the right professional:
"I've tried everything. Just doesn't grow there. So I'm getting my eyebrows microbladed next week."
— Halley Kate [04:17]

Halley Kate shares her struggle with frequent illnesses due to extensive travel, emphasizing hydration and rest as key remedies:
"If I can eat before the nausea kicks in, I'm good for the day. Otherwise, it's just a marathon of feeling gross."
— Halley Kate [52:16]
Flight Experience Enhancements
The hosts discuss tools and habits that improve their flying experience, such as using eye masks to block out light and the Hatch alarm clock for simulating sunrise.
"I have to time my exhale right when the plane is about to touch down. It's weird, but it helps me relax."
— Brooke [19:43]
Fitness and Wellness Routines
Jaz and Halley Kate elaborate on integrating fitness into their hectic lives. Jaz describes her workout routine as non-negotiable, despite frequent travels:
"I don't think of it as 'should I work out today?' I just find my workout."
— Jaz [57:56]
Halley Kate admits to reducing workout frequency but remains committed to maintaining health amidst her busy schedule.
Mental Health and Self-Care
The discussion underscores the importance of mental health, with Danielle highlighting the role of therapy in maintaining emotional balance. Brooke shares her struggles with overthinking due to podcasting responsibilities:
