B
What's up, you guys?
A
Happy New Year. Welcome back to Gals in the Go podcast. I'm Danielle.
B
I'm Brooke. We are so happy to be back. It's like, it feels like a new season, baby.
A
I know. Season. I don't even know.
B
Million.
A
I don't even know because for the longest time, we didn't even do a break. Like, this was like a two week break, but we didn't used to do that.
B
No. This is completely new. And we truly guys, like, we. I feel like we both did R and R, like, rest.
A
R and R. I was a lazy girl and I am not mad about it.
B
Sometimes you need those periods to like. And knowing that we have, dare I say, a busy January, February, March, you know, with our tour coming up.
A
Yeah. Gals like to be on the go. We're like, January, February, hibernation. No, we're just gonna travel the country, actually.
B
We're going to distract ourselves.
A
Yes.
B
From the. No. I think that's great. I feel like it's important to just, you know, have the. Do I say rot time?
A
Rot time.
B
And not feel guilty about it. That's the other thing. Like, you have to do it and not be like, oh, but I could, like, just relish in it, you know.
A
I'm definitely still working on that. I said to my dad the other day, I was like, ugh, I'm just, I'm rotting. And he's like, no, you're ripening.
B
And I was like, that's so your family quoted. That is. Oh, my God, I love it. You guys have like the little phrases to like, get you through, you know.
A
Get you where you need to be. Yeah. Did you see my mom said in our group chat today, I was like, Brooke is giggling.
B
You guys are so like that. Like, you're like, I'm just. I'm taking space. You. You're holding space. Is so your family code like you holding space?
A
We're like, trying to get a, like a group call for me, Brooke, my mom and Adina. And my mom goes, I'm free most of this week. I'm wintering.
B
Does that mean like rnr?
A
I think so. Like, for her, I think that means like hibernating. But I was like, I've never heard wintering before. That was funny.
B
That's because I think wintering, like summering, like I said.
A
Also, guys, this episode, I mean, our episodes are always super live and current, but like, this is so fresh because we're recording on Monday and it's coming out on a Wednesday, so you're getting it raw and real. It's snowing today in New York.
B
Magical.
A
We came here for you guys and.
B
Then we trudged through the. We put on our boots.
A
I'm like literally wearing riding boots, but, you know, same vibe.
B
I was going to say I. I mean this with all due respect because what's old is new again. I literally think I wore this exact outfit combo for my 10th grade. Oh yeah, Morning routine. I will send a phone because I know I wore those jeans with the brown boots. And I want to say my shirt, my button down is blue.
A
I'm not surprised. Cuz when I was leaving, I was like, this is an outfit I would have worn to high school minus the jeans. Like, because I could. We couldn't wear jeans.
B
What would you wear then instead?
A
Like a, like pant. Do you remember the pont pants? Like from J. Crew? They were like your leggings. That's how we got away.
B
Yes, yes, of course, of course.
A
But this is like epitome of like the 2010s for us. I feel like.
B
No, but I love it, by the way. I want to make that clear. With all respect.
A
What's old is new. You're so right.
B
Yeah.
A
There's so many. I was telling Ryan about, like all these trends I'm sure you've got. It's come across your feed as well. Like fisherman corps.
B
Yes, yes.
A
That's on its way. I'm like, what does that even mean?
B
Like, men everywhere are screaming.
A
Brian was like, so are you wearing like pfgs? I was like, no, I don't know how to wait. Yeah. He's like, you wearing some waiters and some boots? Like, I don't understand. And I was like, no, just like fishes and stuff. Like, I don't even know. Like I don't even know. I feel like it's been a vibe for a while.
B
I was gonna say people said it's already at anthropology. Like, it's like. It's that. That's like the style, isn't it? Kind of like the sweaters and the. Like, it's like J.
A
Crew almost too J. CRE it's not like it's nautical. Yeah, I don't even know. Speaking of nautical, Brooke is I mean, she's glowing.
B
Oh, my gosh.
A
From the Cayman Island.
B
Well, you know, I stayed out of the sunset actually on Accutane, you have to say. Yeah, like I think. But so I triple aired up my sunscreen. But I went there that night before the trip routine. I went to work.
A
I saw your story.
B
I was gearing up for something because I said, if I'm going on this trip, it's only three days, which that's a lovely time to vacation, don't get me wrong. But like, you know, it's quick. I would prefer it a little bit longer. No worries. I said I'm gonna make these three count.
A
Oh, and you did.
B
And I need to serve.
A
So you had tell us about your lineup. Like your pre trip glow up lineup.
B
Yeah. Well, it all starts for me. It's the self tan. Like in some, you know, that's debatable to some because some people want to enjoy the sun. But for me, I knew I was staying out of the sun. So of course I got a self tan. I broke out the big guns. I said, Loving 10 heavy duty platinum coming out. Yeah. Now that is for experienced self tanners only. So you need to be careful.
A
What does that mean? Is it like.
B
It's. If it's clear to see mistakes, you know, even my clear to see mistakes. Okay. Notice like, even my feet, you know, we don't have the crocodile. That's a different. That's none of my business. But the best of my body. Good. I didn't actually whiten my teeth. That was on my agenda though, because I just got some like new teeth whitener from the dentist, actually. Because you could get like a, like.
A
Yeah, dentist grade.
B
I know. I ran out of time for that though. I did hair full blowout and I was like, you know, I'm gonna make this blowout really last because like I wanted it to go into like day two or something of the trip before I started doing updos and stuff. So that, you know, that's a workout in and of itself. Blow up that you want to last. Not just like a quickie. Like I'm talking like tension.
A
I'm talking tension. I'm talking tension. Yeah, rolling it out, like all of.
B
That full, full thing. And then I'm packing all my toiletries too, you know, so like that's all getting. Of course the minis are getting set aside. Jewelry for me was a big thing. I'm still wearing the hand chain. I was like, I need to choose my jewelry vibe for this.
A
I love it.
B
I'm like, going through everything. The hand chain is so fun. I love it.
A
So chic.
B
Right?
A
Inspiring me to pull my.
B
Because at first I was like, I feel like it's giving costume, but it's not like.
A
No, you just gotta, like, really live it in. Like, you gotta live it. I don't know how to explain it, but I feel like once you have it on for a few days, it's, like, not like I know it's a part of you. Yeah.
B
Yes. I cut off my permanent bracelet. I meant to tell you finally. That happened, like, a few weeks ago. We both got. A few years ago. Three years ago.
A
Yeah. I took mine off a few months later. Like, Brooke kept that on. She was like, I am Danielle's best friend.
B
Okay. Yeah. This is a part of me now. And no, it was like, it had, like, junk stuck in it.
A
Junk.
B
What else did I do? I feel like it was just, like, the layout of my products. I was like, I'm gonna. Oh, you know, the outfits, like, I really took my time to think about.
A
I loved your outfits. I could tell you, like, shopped around beforehand.
B
I did. I thought about it.
A
Want to go back to Pepper Mayo?
B
I have to say, they have the best cuts, like, of silhouettes. I find the prices are, like. Because I'm wearing a bunch of bachelorettes this year. Not to brag.
A
Yeah, true.
B
I feel like that's the. You know, we have a sunset night. But, like, I don't. I want to look a little hip and cool and, like, maybe a little sass. Sexy on a bachelorette. You know, Pepper Mayo is the best stuff. I'm shocked. I was shocked because I feel like I used to know it as, like, frilly Australian, like, cutesy, and now it's, like, sexy, and I love it.
A
So Pepper Mayo for bachelorettes. That's a really good thing, actually. Thank you. Of course.
B
But with that said, then when I was all prepped, I got to really enjoy my trip and just, like, relish in the moment. The digital camera made a comeback. It's so fun.
A
Ben did a great job with the photo. He did.
B
He really went to work for me.
A
He really went to work. Did you see in my vlog?
B
Yes. Yes.
A
We kept it in. When Ben's, like, taking a picture of me, Brooke, and Katie, and then he goes, okay, now time for Brooke solos. And the comments are like, ben really knows what's up. It was so cute.
B
It was. He. He did know what's up because we were rushing coming to your New Year's party, and I didn't get my solos. So that's kind of why. And I made a subtle comment. I was like, I didn't even have time to get my solos.
A
I know. I hate that. Like, it's so nice to get your photo before the function so you can enjoy the function. You get so up to say.
B
But, like, no, no. That's how I felt about my. I was like, if I'm coming down to the pool, full jewelry, full everything. But also, like, wasn't really getting in the water. That's why I wore the jewelry. Like, you know, I kind of knew the vibes. It wasn't like, so. So hot. It was like in the 70s.
A
That's.
B
Yes. So it was like, perfect. Like, sitting outside reading. I was like, hey, let's just take the pictures now. Like, let's just be real. Like, it's 10am the picture now. And then the rest of the day.
A
We get to chat. I won't bother.
B
Yeah. And I feel my best, you know, in the morning versus, like, when I've been sweating and sitting out there, you.
A
Know, got the morning skinny. Like.
B
Yes. Yeah. I just woke up. I'm like, let's take a quickly.
A
Let's do it. No, I 100 agree. I feel like that's what we do, like, on our girls trips too, for sure. So you and Ben have done a few, like, resort trips. We have.
B
And I'm just. I have. I'm just obsessed. That is my type of vacation, you know, I. It's nice to do. Of course. So spoiled to do, you know, like, Europe or something that is involved with more tours. But like, a true. Sit by the beach, sit by the pool. I know.
A
Relaxing. Well, I. My question to you is, maybe you can get back to us. Yeah. Which one is the best?
B
That's a really great question. I honestly would say we. We talked about it kind of on this trip. And the prices fluctuate, of course, like, depending on when you're going. Because I feel like it's also like, you have to think, like, bang for your buck. Kind of like you're like, oh, okay. That was really, really nice. But I feel like the best. I don't want to say value, but would go back. LeBlanc was really.
A
Was that the place where they'd massage your shoulders?
B
Yes. Yeah, it was. We talked about. Because they have a Cabo location. Someone was like, maybe we should do it for Cabo trip this year. It was at least my experience at the Cancun because they have Cancun and Cabo was very couples vibes.
A
Yeah. Honeymoon, girls, trip. I mean, it's fine.
B
There were some, like, travelers. Yeah, A traveler. That article that they wrote about.
A
There were some travelers at the LeBlanc.
B
Yeah, there were some travelers. That was like. I look back on that, I'm like, that was a luxe vacation. I mean, these all were. Don't get me wrong. I feel so lucky to be able to do this.
A
But there's always.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, they're just so. It's good to know.
B
This one was very interesting. Introspective, though, because a lot of the ones that we've been going on are adults only.
A
Yeah.
B
And this one, they were. You were allowed to bring your kids. So we're discussing parenting theories. We're discussing, like, not unintentionally.
A
Yeah.
B
You know, we see some kids shrieking. I'm like, what would you do in that case? You know? And, like, we do.
A
It's like, okay, let's talk about it.
B
Yeah. You know, there was a kid on her plane who was. I felt bad for the parents because he was just out of control, like, you know, and what?
A
You can only do so much.
B
I know. I did see her texting her friend. She was stressed about it.
A
Really?
B
Oh.
A
Because you look at the phone, I felt bad. What was she saying?
B
Like, omg. Like, blank, blank, blank. Just had a nightmare of a flight. Like, he was screaming legit for three hours. Like, it was like, legit. Me texting you. Like, I was like, yeah, like, like.
A
So we all. We're just going to keep doing this when we're older.
B
Yeah.
A
So just happened.
B
Yeah. Because it switches to about your K. But it was a lovely place. I mean, you've been to Grand Cayman. I just feel so lucky to have been there. It's a gorgeous place. Everybody's so. The people are so nice.
A
They are so happy to have you there.
B
I know some places, they're like, oh, my gosh, you're here. Like, they are, like, what, welcome. Like, giving you a hug. Thank you.
A
That makes me so happy. I'm glad that you had a good experience. And. No, I'm, like, so jealous. Like, that is so nice. I'm so happy.
B
Was it the good weather and you were there?
A
Yeah.
B
Because I feel like it's April.
A
Yeah, April. It was hot. It was hot.
B
Really hot.
A
Yeah, it was hot. But, like, if it doesn't rain that I'm happy. Like, that's.
B
Yeah. Like, that's a beach vacation standard. I have to say, this beach. Maybe it's just because I'm coming from, like, I'm thinking of, like, the Hamptons, baby. I don't really know. This beach was so smooth.
A
It's so pretty.
B
No rocks. Oh, the water's. Yeah.
A
So blue.
B
So blue.
A
So blue.
B
It's. The beach by you is pretty smooth, though, too. I guess in Florida, right? Like, there's not a lot of, like. Think of, like, northern rocky beaches where you.
A
I think it's a northern thing. And. And, like, even California, I feel like the beaches are. Yes, but maybe not. Maybe I'm wrong. Well, we're going next week, so we'll.
B
Have to report back on that.
A
Yeah.
B
Yes. So I feel very lucky. Anyways. I feel like a true adult, too. Like, when I show up at these reserves, I'm like, oh, my God, I'm Mr. Michio. That's what they wrote. I know.
A
That's so crazy. Like, Mr. Brooke Michio. And you're like, I don't know how they thought that.
B
Where's the discrepancy in that? Do you think they just assume? They can't assume.
A
I think they assumed, which is so.
B
You think.
A
I mean, Brooke Michio. Because that's definitely a woman.
B
Oh, I was gonna say. Is it a man?
A
No, Like Brooks.
B
Yeah.
A
Usually a man. I think that was like, you know, they'll be like. Like Mr. Brooke Mitchell. Like, if you and Ben were married. Yeah.
B
Oh, no.
A
But then he, like, he took on. Yeah.
B
It's like they were roll out.
A
Yeah. It's always the best. Yeah.
B
Really? Yeah. No, it was really funny. And they got us gay gifts literally every day. Yeah.
A
What's up with that? That's so nice.
B
Because they ask you, you know, when you check in, like, oh, are you celebrating anything special? And nine times out of 10, it's like, no. No.
A
Yeah.
B
Or maybe you are. I don't know. But we're like, oh, anniversary. And then, like, how many years? And I was like, I hope they don't think wedding. Like, I had that in the back of my head. But it could be dating. Like, it doesn't matter, right?
A
No. Ryan and I always have arguments about this. Like, he. Like, you know when you can go on resi and you can put, like, yes. The occasion. One time I did that, and I put anniversary. And he was like, they think it's for wedding. I'm like, well, so who cares?
B
Did they actually acknowledge it? I feel like they never.
A
They never even acknowledged it. So he was all stressed about it. He was like, they're gonna think we're married, and then I'm gonna Feel bad. I'm like, no, it's not that at all.
B
Yeah, no, we.
A
Anniversary.
B
We just said anniversary. We were like, late anniversary. But they still were like. They heard anniversary, and they were like, give them the anniversary package. I think, because the anniversary package. The first night we go, like, went to dinner, came back, or went to the beach, came back, fruit tray, really nice fruit, dry. Second night, leave, you know, for the beach, pool, come back to our room. Cake with a heart on it.
A
Shut up.
B
Personalized notes every time, by the way.
A
Oh, yeah, I did see you.
B
Yes. Next night, Lee or day, leave, come back. Really beautiful premium beach bag with, like, two Ritz Carlton tumblers, two hats. I love a lotion. Like, a really nice. Like, from the spa, from, like, the gift shop. I was like, oh, my gosh.
A
This is.
B
It seems, like, too nice. And then a few. Like, an hour later, we got a knock on a door, and they handed us another tote. They're like, oh, here's your tote. Like, I was like, wait. But I.
A
So which one of you gal pals works at Ritz Carlton in Grand Cayman?
B
Or you don't think it's the standard?
A
No, I mean, I hope it's the standard. That's just, like, so.
B
I know. I. I know I feel really sad.
A
Maybe you guys just look so happy. And they were like, we're going to give them a good run.
B
That m. Well, they. Mr. Mitchi.
A
Yeah, I know. They're like, yeah, they definitely. Maybe they. I don't know.
B
Yeah.
A
Who knows?
B
That was so much about me. Wow.
A
I feel like we've all had those moments when you get such an awkward pimple. Like, oh, my gosh. The worst is, like, right under my lips, on my chin, like, where that creases. Or in between my eyebrows. Like, those are the two.
B
Oh.
A
Or right above my lip. Oh. It's so just awkward, and I feel like everyone's staring at it. It's just not fun. And feeling confident in your skin starts with getting expert care. B
I literally just rolled in, stumbled on.
A
In turn on Over.
B
I know.
A
We're prepping for our next trip. We're going. We actually didn't say this on the podcast, but we're going to Irvine next week for the live show and well, we're going to go to LA for a few days because like, that's just what we do. We literally don't really have plans, but. No la.
B
No. I feel like I'm like telling people like, I'll be in your city and they're like, I won't. Oh, that's sick. Oh, great.
A
I haven't even done that. So good on you. You're like, great. I'd love to see you. But you know, we have a little routine there. We go to our outfit, we do our thing. You'll probably go to Soul Cycle.
B
Like I'm so excited because my Soul Cycle instructor moved to la. Oh my God.
A
What's her name again?
B
Madison.
A
Oh, that one. Yes.
B
Hollywood. Yes. I know I could walk, but it's an unsafe walk, they say, so I don't know.
A
It's the worst. Well, we're going to have so much fun. And we had a special guest at our Irvine show that I don't think we announced like here cuz we announced during the break.
B
No, we did, while we were on break.
A
Yeah. Our special guest is.
B
Fibula Connor Wood.
A
So exact. I know we should say Connor Wood.
B
But Danielle secured that for us, so. Thank you, Danielle.
A
That was a team effort.
B
So many friends, people coming out of the woodwork. I know. Fab.
A
Yeah. Like, okay.
B
I want. Yeah.
A
No, we're so excited. He, him and I were. When him and I went to the SEC championship together, he was there as a Longhorn, I was there as a dog and it just kind of came up. We were talking about live shows and he was like, wait, I'll be a guest on your show. And I texted Brooke and we were already kind of like wanting to ask him. So it's perfect. And so we're so excited he's going to come on for a segment. We're going have a really fun time. He's just the funniest guy.
B
So silly. Yeah, I think it's going to be. He does like legit stand up, so he's like actually, he's actually funny.
A
Yeah. Classically trained.
B
We're two novices over here.
A
Yeah. In the background. But no, it's going to be really fun. So if you live in the area. Area or nearby, definitely get your tickets. There's some left. And it's gonna be a really fun time. We're so excited for joining us.
B
Yes. And we have a bunch of other shows. You can go to our website, galsengopodcast.com. come see us. We're about to be crazy. We're going then to Miami, Atlanta.
A
So excited.
B
Oh, my gosh. We're going to the Midwest. We're going to Boston. We're. We're gonna have a blast.
A
No, we're gonna have so much fun. Like, I'm, I'm real. Like, you said we had some major rr. So now we can, like, be ready for all these shows. Like, I don't know why I'm not stressed yet about it. I'm hoping.
B
I feel like that's the R and R taking a bath.
A
It's the rotting, it's the ripening. We're ready to go. Also, another fun announcement. So obviously our first show we did was in Philly and then we did our show in New York and we sold merch and we had a lot of people reaching out to us, which meant the world to us. Like, wait, I went to Philly show? Or I didn't even go to a show. I'm not going to show. I really want the merch.
B
Yeah. And now it's available for everyone. So we'll be linking that, that everywhere on the website, on our stories. You guys can go pick it up. It's a gorgeous, really thick, nice sweatshirt.
A
Think like, or maybe it is comfort colors. It's that material. It's that thick. Good, like, good quality.
B
Keeps you warm in the winter. Like, I feel like it's a, it's a heavier duty sweatshirt.
A
You know, it is, like, structured. I love that it has a ton of tickets on the back with all the cities that we're going to, so we've never done this really before. So we'll have these available online for you guys to purchase. You can, like, once you see the show if you like it. But no, it's available now. So we'll have the link in our bio on our Instagram and also in the description below for you guys to shop it. But yeah, so now it's available. Yeah, we're really, really excited. And then I think, yeah, there might be one or two more shows that we're selling merch there. But you'll always be able to get it online, which is just great, you.
B
Know, get it, get it online, get it, get it online. I just noticed your nails have that. The reflection.
A
Well, don't mind the broken finger. Yeah, I did these for Christmas. The cat eye.
B
I guess I haven't seen them. Well, I saw them at New Year's, but maybe not.
A
Yeah.
B
In the studio lighting, I really see the effect.
A
I've gotten so many comments because we were doing a meet and greet at Pickle, and one of the girls had the nails like this, and I was like, oh, my gosh. I want. But my nail broke, which actually hasn't happened in a really long time. So I'm going tomorrow. We're gonna. I don't know what to do next. Apparently everyone's doing. Did you see some girl was, like, wanting to do navy chrome nails because everyone was okay, there's this girl, like, f all of you for saying I should do chrome with navy or navy with chrome. Her nails, like, turned green. They look like beetles. It was so funny. But it's because she did, like, not the right chrome color. It's very important you do the pearl chrome so it doesn't change the color. I feel like, of your chrome. What do you have on your nose?
B
I have the white chrome still. I still need to get this. This is literally like a month. Like, I need. I'm going tomorrow.
A
Yeah, wait, I'm going tomorrow.
B
I'm not going. I'm not going. Mickey has no availability tomorrow. I have to go to. Yeah. I love. You know. You know, you go to some of the best people when, like, the wait list is like, oh, I know, I know, I know. And then I wait till the last minute. I'm like, oh, my schedule changed.
A
I know.
B
This thing came up. I'm so sorry.
A
Like, it's worse. Well, I can't wait to see what you do. I. I don't know what I'm going to do.
B
One more note about my trip or like, two more. For some reason, there was a big theme, underlying theme between Ben and I about jewelry on the trip, specifically because we were people watching a lot. I think that's what it was. This is my first time staying at, like, Ritz Carlton. I've definitely stayed. I'm not like, over, Like, I've never stayed at Nice hotel. It's like, I like, you know, I.
A
The Ritz is something else.
B
We were not like a family that was like, going to the Ritz. Like, I feel like we went on cruises. Like, yeah, they have a Ritz cruise, though. No way. I swear. They have, like. It's like the Ritz yacht collection. You would like it.
A
I think that sounds really fun.
B
So I really quality people watching it. Like, there's people from all. All sorts of accent. Like, it is amazing. So I'm like looking at some of these people. And then I started like noticing like a commonality between like a lot of the people here. Women. Everybody has a cardier love bracelet. Everybody, Everybody. And I know this is common of you walk New York. Like, yeah. But I don't think I've ever seen one place. Like we had a whole bit about it. Like we're sitting at dinner. I was like, they have it. They have it.
A
Really?
B
Yes. I swear it was a requirement to come to the resort. People stacks up their arm. Like, I was like, this is a weight at that point.
A
I've heard of people doing like one for each child. Like they get. No, I know. It's actually crazy.
B
You get the. It engraved on the.
A
I'm sure. Yeah. I didn't get engraved, but wow.
B
No. And then I needed. And the Ben was like, it's actually turning me off. How many people have it? I don't think you needed this one because everybody has it. Yeah.
A
I don't know if I would buy one actually today. I don't think I would buy one today.
B
So then there was. There's a jewelry store in the hotel. And we were walking back from the pool, like beach the next one day, and I was like, oh, let's just pop in. I don't. I. It looked big. So I was like, okay, like, let's go look. And I was like, literally in my bikini. But the guy was eager to help. He was so nice. Nice. His name is Alex. Go see him.
A
Hey, Alex.
B
Hey, Alex. There's a big case. Like. And I was just. They had like designers. They had like Gucci, Dolce. It was a really like. And I was like, oh, do I need jewelry now? We walk in though, and we're immediately greeted with rings. Like, it was like engagement. I was like, oh, wow. And then I like pointed, which I. I like the emerald cut. I just see it and I like it. I'm just like, oh, whatever. And I like, was like, oh, that's an emerald cut. And the guy goes, oh, here. And he takes it. I didn't even ask to like try it on or whatever. He just was like, he was like, here, try it. And I was like, oh, I mean, if you say so, sure. Okay. So I slipped it on and he goes, oh, you have long fingers. Because that just means that like things look small on me, cuz I got big meaty claws.
A
You're like, oh, I need a bigger one. You're saying like need a bigger big rock. That's so weird.
B
Literally. So then I was like, oh, this is gorgeous. Whatever. Like, looking at it, you know? And I was like, oh, what? Like, what's the price on this? He was like, well, you know, we don't. A lot of people like to buy here because there's no tax or whatever. I, like, looked at the price a little bit. I was like, this. Is this in US dollars? $120,000. He. He let me slide it right on. No, the door is open behind me. I feel like in New York, you'd be under the locking key, like, right?
A
Yeah. And I feel like he would have been like, oh, are you looking like. Yeah, he. You want to try it on? He must be bored that day.
B
Try it. Well, like, literally try it.
A
You had 120k.
B
I was like, crazy. And just. And I. I did not. Like, I'm in a bikini.
A
Yeah, you're, like, holding, waiting for your coffee. Like, it's nothing deep. Wow.
B
I know.
A
Like, 120.
B
No, I mean, it looked really nice, but I was like, in what world? And then, you know, Ben, of course, he's like, I watched a YouTube video because he watches, like, all these niche YouTube videos about, like, certain topics. Does Ryan not do this?
A
I'm.
B
I don't know. Maybe you need to ask. I think some boys do this.
A
Yeah, my dad does. I know that. Oh, about, like, just, like, watch random.
B
Music, like, the jewelry industry and, like, the markups. Yeah. So he was like. Because he's, like, going back and forth with the guys, like, the gia. Like, I was like, how do you know these terms?
A
Like, I've never even heard that.
B
So I don't think it should have been. I mean, it's a result. You're saying a resort, Right. They mark it up a lot. But that was crazy to me that they were just.
A
Sure, you want to throw it on, like.
B
And, you know, I feel like you go to a store to try on a purse, and they're like, like, wiping it down a million times. Like, you look at you. Like, you're a slob. And here he was just literally, like, sand on my toes.
A
And he's like, I know that feeling. Like, post beach, you're like. Like, going back up to the room. Wow.
B
Yeah. I love that.
A
He did.
B
No, I loved. And then I was like, oh, okay. Well, I'm gonna keep going while I'm here.
A
Yeah. So what else? You got spotted?
B
He took out, like, a chart. He's like, here's the chart. Like, you know, of all the shapes and everything. Yeah. It was like, I felt like I went to school it was crazy. I didn't end up buying, but then I. Like, we left. I was like, ah, I want to support. Like, you're so. I want to go back and support him.
A
Did you buy something?
B
No, I. I thought about it.
A
Is this watch new you're wearing?
B
Oh. So my mom cleared out her watch collection and found this old watch, and I got it resized, and she was.
A
Like, oh, it's beautiful. I like how delicate.
B
Thanks. It's just a nice. You know, I feel like people are wearing these dainty watches now. It's a Raymond wheel.
A
Raymond.
B
I need to get the battery replaced. I realized that it's not. Not an accurate.
A
Don't ask me the time. I don't got it.
B
Yeah, we're looking at watch watches in the store. He was like, oh, this one's kind of crazy. Like, they're like, the numbers are in different places. Have you ever seen one of those?
A
No.
B
Yeah.
A
What's that for? To make you guess. Like, that's so much work.
B
Yeah. It was like, you have to really work to get the time. Yes.
A
Oh, my goodness.
B
It had a certain, like, spring in it. The watch industry is another thing that's just next level to me. Like, it's a little confusing.
A
That's Ryan's one thing. If we're shopping, if there's watches, like, he's like, can we go look at the watch?
B
Really?
A
Yeah. Like, that's his one thing. Like, literally, we were at Macy's this past week, and he's like, oh, watches. And it's so funny. We always go and look at the same watches. And I was like, I love that he wants to look at something in a store. No, I'm the worst. Like, someone pointed it out to me recently. Like, I mean, we always talk about.
B
This with each other.
A
I'm the worst. Like, if you want to buy something, like, talk to me. I'll make you buy.
B
Yeah, it's good to have a friend like that. It's of the angel and the devil, though.
A
Yeah.
B
Honestly, Ryan could be the. Oh, for sure. For sure.
A
He'll be like, no, you don't need. You mean, like, as in, like, you don't need it? Yeah.
B
I feel like if I go shopping, it would be good for me to have both of you with me to do the pro and the con.
A
Ryan. We, like, we, like, didn't get in a fight, but we were at Macy's because we went in there because he wanted new dress shoes, and he. There were like, a thousand in there. And I was like, so what kind of style are you looking for?
B
Yeah.
A
And he showed me a picture and so I was like, you know, trying to be helpful. I'm pulling this one. I'm pulling like, look at all of these. Like literally everywhere with the whole floor. And he tried on so many and he was like, just not in love with any of them. And I was so annoyed because every time we go shopping, he's never in love with anything.
B
He.
A
Even the gift card to Macy's, like, he was like ready and he needed.
B
A pair of dresses and.
A
But then, no, then he's like, I don't actually. My old ones are fine.
B
I'm like, after all that, how did you spend time? Like, really time.
A
Like we were sitting there, the reasons why.
B
Hold on.
A
We're doing the this, the this brand and we're talking. And then he's like, not in love with anything. I'm like, are you ever going to be in love with anything?
B
So did you left empty handed?
A
Empty handed? Are you serious?
B
This day still has the gift card also.
A
It's a gift card he's had for years now. Like, we always just randomly will go back to Macy's and he's like, I'm not in love with anything. I'm like, oh my God. Like, I wish I had your mentality.
B
When I went to helping. Yeah, it would be a real savings. It would be.
A
No, it's a good, it's a good thing. But he, we were like going down the escalator, he was like, are you like, upset with me right now? I was like, no. I'm just like, when are you ever going to use this gift?
B
I. That's the thing with gift cards. Cards. Like, I feel like I have to use it almost right away after because otherwise literally it goes to the bottom of the pile and then I forget I have it and it's a waste of money. Yes.
A
Why do you think I got Starbucks today? I got a Starbucks gift card. I was like, oh my God, you're so right. I need to use it right away. Otherwise, like, I won't use it.
B
I, I get it. You've completely forgot it.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
But we have different mentalities and a lot like, we're weird. I feel like, who you and I. I'm calling us weird. Oh, maybe not.
B
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, I mean, you could save up, like if you have something that you're like yearning for, right? That you're like, okay, I'm going to save all my gift cards for this purchase. But like, for the most Part like, if I have a Lululemon gift card, I'm like, okay. Like, this is my excuse to go to Lululemon. Let me go and get a new pair of leggings. Like, I don't know.
A
No, I feel that. I feel that so hard. So anyways, that was our little Macy's to box.
B
Yeah.
A
Actually debacle.
B
You guys been shopping over the break?
A
Yeah, we went shopping.
B
Yeah. You went shopping? Actually, the other day, I. What inspired that, you know. Oh, I was a zest for life.
A
No, I. I really wanted this pouch from Bottega. Like, this makeup pouch, because I knew we were travel. I don't know. For some reason, I had to have this pouch.
B
And didn't you just get another pouch for Christmas?
A
I did. That was like a travel.
B
Oh, my gosh. Now who's in their pouch area? I know.
A
I literally said. I was like, okay. Makes me want to get all these pouches. I'm like, you. Like, I keep buying all these nice pouches. I love pouches now. Like, my bag is fun.
B
Aren't they so fun? You got me, like, a bag for your bag? Like, it's just so bad. I love it. Yeah.
A
It just makes you feel so organized. And, I mean, makeup isn't going all over the bag.
B
It's in the pouch. It's.
A
I love it.
B
And if you're like, where's my charger? Oh, it's in the. The brown pouch. Yes, exactly.
A
So I went in for this pouch. I knew I wanted this bag, too. But it was just the sales lady, she got me. She was like, you literally look like a thousand dollars. Like, you look amazing. You know, like, it's.
B
Isn't it the pat. Like, it's a. That's what I'm saying. This jewelry. He almost had me going. I didn't even like anything. Picking out random stuff because I'm like, oh, I kind of like that. Ben's like, don't like it, don't like it. I'm like, you know, I didn't love.
A
It, but the guy was so nice. They make you feel so beautiful.
B
Sales associate.
A
Seriously, the power. Here's the thing. It's kind of gross out. Even those of us that embrace the chilly weather need something to break up those long winter nights. Something I love to do, as you guys all know, treat myself to a little something.

A
I have like random things written down from the break. No. Well, so I Went home?
B
Yeah. How? You were home for a minute.
A
I was home for a minute. I loved it. Like, I really regress back to my childhood when I go home. Home. Like, I just do nothing. Like, I don't know how to explain it. Like, I feel like my family's, like, concerned about me when I'm home because they're, like, gonna go for a walk today. I'm like, maybe, like. But, like, when I'm in the city, like, we're doing so much all the time that when we go home, it's so nice. But, like, last minute, we decided. We figured out that Ryan had a gap in his time before he went home for the holidays. So we, like, last minute decided. I was telling you about this tip for him to come to Tampa, and I. I was like, wait. Like, I don't even know why this is so me coded. I was like, we should surprise my family with you. Like, you just.
B
When you text me that, I was like, okay, I guess.
A
Okay. Like, it's because I didn't get to do any pranks. I had to take a time off of pranks. Because why?
B
Because you're doing too many.
A
It was too fresh.
B
Like, I just knew they were expecting it.
A
Yeah. So I didn't do any pranks. I was just needing to fill that void. You know, Some people like nicotine. I like pranks.
B
Like, I think you like someone's reaction.
A
Reaction?
B
Is that what it is?
A
I love surprises. I love pranks. Stuff like that. But anyways, I was just like, oh, for fun. Like, literally, like you said, like, for fun. We surprised my. Like, I called my dad, and he was like, wait, yeah, he should come. And really more so for Freddy, because, like, every time I go, mom. They're like, is Ryan coming? I'm like, okay, so you like Ryan better than me. It's fine. But we. When Ryan got in late Wednesday night and my brother had already gone to sleep, he was sleeping over that night. And so the next morning, Ryan, like, woke him up. Ryan opened the door and goes, hey, Freddie, you want any coffee? And Freddie goes, brian, what? And, like, gets up and hugs him. And that was really.
B
Did you film the reaction?
A
I did, but it wasn't like, TikTok.
B
Really, it wasn't.
A
It's, like, surprising my family with my boyfriend.
B
It's weird. Why you said that? I was like, how is she gonna form it?
A
No, it was literally, like, for fun. Like, instead of, like, doing a simple text, like, hey, fam. I just thought it'd be funny if he was there. Like, My aunt didn't know I picked her up from the airport. And then we came home, and she was like, Ryan. Like, it was just, like. It was the weirdest surprise. But I just, like, imagine, like, they.
B
Walk and, like, talking. They're like, yes. And Ryan didn't.
A
Yeah, well, what we really wanted to do was Ryan was just gonna be, like, sitting in the kitchen and, like, my brother walk in. But I had to. I had an appointment. So I was like, no, I want to see the reaction. So you're gonna wake Freddie up. So Freddie was kind of annoyed that we woke him up, but I. I get it.
B
I understand the, like, for the bit. So is your. Your family, like, they're not like, oh, my gosh. Like, because I. I did talk about this with Ben. I was like, I feel like both of our families, like, would be like, I don't have snacks for Ryan. I don't have.
A
Well, that's why I told my dad. That's why I told my dad, because we were staying.
B
Oh, that's good. That's smart.
A
Because I was like, someone does need to know for that exact reason. Yeah. I could see your family being like, wait, no. Like, I knew we didn't have any reservations that weekend. Like, yeah. Something that I. I. I assessed. Also, there was this whole Disney drama. Like, not actually drama, but, like, you.
B
Were trying to go. I know.
A
We go every year. And then this year, I was like, oh, we going. And everyone be like, sure, yeah, if you want. And, like, I realized I really hate when people say that.
B
If you want.
A
Yeah, sure, if you want. I'm like, do you want?
B
Because I think if you want is passive. So, like, I understand. Yeah.
A
Yeah. And I'm like. And basically, like, I knew they were down if, like, I planned this whole thing. And I was like, okay, but do you want to? So then Ryan fucking takes us. We're all, like, sitting in the living room, and I'm pouting. I'm like, so does no one, like, really want, Like, I don't want, like, to force everyone to go Orlando. The biggest problem is we live two hours away. So it's kind of like, do you stay dinosaur? Yeah. And then it gets to the whole, like. I mean, my family dynamic is so interesting. It's like, my mom would come, and then my dad, but then she has a boyfriend, and then me and Ryan, and then Freddie. It's just like, who does what where?
B
I see there's a bit. There's things involved at this point. Yes.
A
That's when it's like, the mix mixed family is amazing, but it's like, where do we keep our boundaries of, like, who's going to Disney? So there was that, but then Ryan, like, takes this picture of me. I didn't see it till later, and he Snapchatted it to me and was like, when no one in your family wants to go to Disney but you.
B
Like, you're like, who wants to go? And everyone's just quiet.
A
I'll put it in the newsletter. It was a very funny photo of me. So we didn't go, and I was like, I'm sorry. So I'm just gonna plan it next year. I think most of them were concerned about, like, driving back, and I also didn't want to drive back.
B
That's all driving in one day. To be fair.
A
It's so much driving. Like, we've always stayed over. We've never really gone for the day, so. So I'll plan ahead next year.
B
I get it. Were you able. But it seems like you filled your days with other exciting adventures.
A
I got to drive around my Volvo that they loaned me, which was great.
B
It looked really nice.
A
It was really nice.
B
The interior was, like, sexy.
A
It was literally so sexy. Oh, this was really funny. At our Christmas Eve party, they always, like, have a bartender and, you know, like, I love when you're by a bar and there's like, like, well, you would actually hate this, but, like, nuts and, like, chips. Like, bar snacks.
B
Snacks, though, because I like olives. I like.
A
Yeah.
B
Sort of filled things.
A
Nosh. I like that word. It was like, those. And my aunt was just going to town on these, like, this bowl of nuts, whatever. And later on, she comes up and she's like, Danielle. Like, in her, you know, awesome Long Island Danielle. Like, these nuts are amazing. I just asked the guy next to me, you know what they are? And he said, they're called Deez Nuts.
B
And I'm seeing my pants.
A
I'm like, she just got got. So I'm like, freddie, come over here. And I was like, wait, what's the brand? You said again? She's like, deez Nuts. He said it was like, this one, like a boyfriend of someone that was like that. And so I'm like, so who. Could you please point to me to who, like, said that? And she was like, no, I looked it up. There's something called Deez Nuts. Like, there literally actually is a brand, like, D apostrophe s Nuts.
B
I'm sure Deanna is nuts.
A
But so she was like, it was that guy over there. And I. I Was kind of drunk. So I was like, my guy, like, what was. And he was like, oh, yeah. I totally just said, de's nuts. Like, that is so funny.
B
And your aunt so gets. Got like.
A
I feel like she would be.
B
So she's the person.
A
Yes, exactly. She's the person will be in a store and someone like that doesn't work there. She'll ask them a question.
B
Like, that's.
A
So she's going to ask what brand nuts they are. And he goes, these nuts. She's like, oh, okay. You know.
B
She's like, but writes it down for ladies. Like, the best indeed.
A
Yeah, that was really funny.
B
These nuts.
A
These nuts, baby.
B
That's really.
A
Oh, I almost caught my house on fire. Like, for real.
B
Well, I thought that you didn't do much. How were you? You said.
A
But I did do that. Well, don't do this Pro tip. Like, actually pro tip. So when you're. I was cooking bacon for the family, and I decided which I never do this. And I will never do it again. Halfway through cooking, like, I finished one batch to, like, pour some of the grease into a cup in the trash can, which you're supposed to do. That's how you're supposed to dispose, I guess, of grease. But then I kept cooking, and I guess that's a big no. No. Because to do there was gre.
B
Like, you keep the grease.
A
Keep the grease, I guess, or make sure to wipe off the edge. Because there was grease on the side of the pan. And so when I went to cook and some oil splattered onto the flame or like, the. And it literally blew up. I'm starting screaming. I'm going to grab water. Apparently, you're not supposed to do that.
B
I don't think it does anything.
A
Well, it could make it worse. Like, apparently water on grease. Like, I don't know. I need to sit down with your dad and talk to him about this, because then my dad's freaking out immediately. Ordered me a fire blanket, which, if you don't have one, you should get one.
B
I have a fire extinguisher. Oh, okay. That was literally since I moved into my first apartment. I'm sure I put this under here. He just, like, replaced it before he's like, it's expired. Time to get a new one.
A
I mean, as he should, right?
B
I was like, I don't even know if I know how to use it. He's like, very simple. Pull the red tab.
A
Oh, perfect. You're like, it's very.
B
Because I was like, oh, I feel like I'm scared. But it's literally like if you pull this as hard as you can, like, okay, good. But I was like, is he gonna ruin the kitchen? He was like, if I was gonna ruin the kitchen.
A
Yeah, no, that's definitely up to the fire extinguisher.
B
Yes. Yeah. So you have a fire blanket now? I have a fire blanket that will contain the.
A
Yeah, you just throw it over. I'm like, I really am curious. It was interesting to see what my fight or flight instinct was like. I'm talking like a big.
B
Like, at least it didn't hurt you. Because I've heard other stories of me.
A
My face could have been over in.
B
Greece, I have heard with people getting like third degree burns, flashes or something. And. Yes.
A
And that's where you're not supposed to put water on it because it would have splashed more. So I got so lucky. Basically what happened was that it just went back down.
B
Is it hibachi?
A
It literally. It was like hibachi. It was like when they did the onion ring, I just. I was so scared.
B
That always makes me so nervous. Like, how is that flame controlled?
A
No, I don't.
B
It's not. Right?
A
I really don't know. Wow.
B
Did you scream?
A
I was screaming bloody.
B
And then who came and helped?
A
Both everyone. My dad, my brother and my aunt all ran. They were so scared. Because I. I mean, if you think you're catching your house on fire, you're like, you're going to scream. And so I'm really happy I learned my lesson. Just be careful with greasing flame. An oil flame, like. Yeah, that. Which I think is just another thing. But.
B
No, no, but I get nervous too.
A
When I.
B
The. The one time I tried, like, I know now I don't want to cutlets, like, you know, it's. It's scary, cuz it's like sizzling and it's like. I feel like even when you turn it over, like, it's like, like blinking.
A
You're like, oh, don't burn me. Please don't burn. But overall, it was really nice. And then I came back here and had a new party, which was so fun.
B
I'm a bash, a clash of people. Half those people I've never seen my entire life.
A
Oh, it was totally like a bring your friends type of thing. Like, it was because I knew that so many people were out of town.
B
Yeah.
A
For New Year's. And then I was like, ah, I know enough people to be like, oh, yeah, bring your friends. Like, it ended up being the perfect place. Like everyone there. I Had met like once or twice. But they were definitely adjacent friends or not everyone. There's probably like 10 people that I was like, oh, it's very nice to meet you. Welcome.
B
No, that was just so nice.
A
But it was really great host. It was really fun time. Nothing crazy. I mean, it was good. Like, no noise complaints, which I was really excited about. But it's also New Year's Eve. Like, there really shouldn't be. But I don't really have any stories per se. I just feel like it was fun. Like, we all know.
B
Yeah, good. It was a really great time.
A
You.
B
You handled the music well. You had multiple speakers them around. I know. That was great. And the bar was perfectly set up.
A
Yeah, it was good. I kind of wish we had two bartenders or something, though. I think my friends just drink a.
B
Lot because Speed it up.
A
He was. I just. I hate when, like, everyone's at the bar. Like, I felt like everyone was, like, waiting at the bar a lot and I was like, I hate that. But in every house party, people always.
B
Congregate in the kitchen, though.
A
I know.
B
No matter what.
A
You're so right.
B
Even in high school, I feel like it was that way when it was.
A
It just feels safe over there.
B
Yeah.
A
Where the drinks are. Everyone loves that. Everyone's going the bathroom all the time.
B
Yeah. You're like, I'm in the center of it all. Versus, like.
A
Yeah.
B
I don't want to be the one sitting down. Everybody's standing up. I'm like, I need to feel part of something. Right.
A
Obviously, Adam was iconic. Eating the grapes under the table. That was so funny.
B
Ships passing.
A
Oh, yeah. He came like, on the later side. Like, you were there for a long time. He left. He got there like maybe 11:30 or something.
B
Oh, right before.
A
Yeah. He came with his grapes. Like, I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong, but no, it was great. And then the next morning, thank God, you know when you first wake up and you're like, am I hungover? Like that body scan. I was doing a full on. Brian goes, how are you? I was like, body scanning right now and I was fine. No throw up. Which is the biggest thing for.
B
What were you drinking? To sustain.
A
I think I just wasn't drinking as much. Why? I going into the new year, not taking as many shots. So I thought that will do it a lot. So it was nice. And I actually enjoyed cleaning a lot. Like, I really enjoyed cleaning up after the party. Like, people are texting me, you want me to come over? I'm like, first of all. They don't actually mean that. And they're like, let me come over and clean.
B
I got a few of those. I'm sure you met people. They're like, literally, I'm doing nothing tomorrow. I can come over and help you clean. I was like, as if I would actually never text this person that I've met twice. Actually, can you come over?
A
Like, can you. Do you mind picking up a broom on the way?
B
Like, literally never do that. No.
A
If you're offering, you need to be more so, Like, I'm on my way. Like, what can I grab? Like, it's never.
B
Yeah, let me know.
A
Like, yes. Letting you know. Like, no.
B
I would rather more help on the front end of the party than the back end. I think same like, two of my.
A
Friends started cleaning, like, before they left, which I really, really appreciate. Appreciate it.
B
Great.
A
Like, that was really, like, the food stuff, which I feel like is like the first to go. It's like, totally, totally.
B
Let's get a few trash bags going and then we're good.
A
Yeah, you know, exactly. So that was fun. And then I have to say, I was actually listening to Skinny Confidential, which I haven't listened to in a while. And it was like her and Michael's solo episode, and they were talking about how. Or Lauren was saying how she loves the week of January 2nd through the 7th.
B
Oh.
A
And I agree because it's just. At least for me, not for everyone, but I think for a lot of people, it's a little bit slower. People are finally starting to circle back a little bit on emails and stuff, but it's like everyone's so tired from the holidays that they're, like, taking forever to kind of get it started back up. And then the next week after, it's hitting the ground running again. But I love the first week of January.
B
I've decided, wow. It's very pressuring.
A
Slow. Like, I just, like, I feel like it was slow.
B
Yeah. I mean, just very slow for me. I literally left the country. Yeah. I was like, goodbye. Yeah, I know, but I know what you mean. It's like an ease back into it situation. It's not like all at once. It's like, okay, we're all catching up here. We're all whatever. Gone are the days of January 1st being like, the gym's the busiest day. I'm sure it still is. But like, in my eyes, I'm like, that's so stupid. It's dumb. It's straight up.
A
You know, equinox is thing with that. You can't you can't become a member on January 1st.
B
Oh, they're so cool. Oh, that's so innovative.
A
So innovative. I know.
B
Yeah.
A
They literally don't let you.
B
They're making it easier now. They did make it a lot in New York City to make it easier to cancel gym memberships. It's like they enacted like a one click policy or something. No way. Yes. Which is. It actually is, you know, a saving grace for some.
A
Yeah, that.
B
Because sometimes they make you call like eight different people and like, you have to explain your reasoning. You're like, I just don't.
A
You're like, please don't make me feel much worse about myself.
B
Okay, so you hate yourself.
A
Like, no. You guys are so expensive, actually. Goodbye. Oh, that's really, really cool. That's one good thing.
B
Yeah, one good thing about this. Yeah, one thing.
A
Kind of get into a little New Year's motivation.
B
Ye. I don't want to reflect on last year because, you know, last year I don't wore the vibes.
A
No, thank you.
B
I know.
A
I. I always forget to reflect. Maybe it's because I don't want to. My mom kind of made me sit down and we just like, talked about, like, a few highlights. I was like, hey, perfect. Like, I don't want to talk about my goals from last year, but we could talk about things. We're happy that happened.
B
That's great. That's great. And like, counting, like, I'm more into that. Like, counting moments. Like, big memories, big whatever. Like, versus is like, yeah, I read 50 books. Like, it's like, who the fuck cares? Like, seriously. Not like, actually doesn't really matter.
A
Like, no.
B
How about, like, the amazing things that we did on tour and like, literally we took and like, that sort of stuff.
A
I know. I feel like it depends on the year of, like, how motivated someone is for the new year. Like, for me, I'd say this year I was like, I love New Year's Eve. I think it's really fun. It's exciting. Some would say, oh, it's just another day. It's just New Year's Day is the next day. But it is fun, it's exciting, and I think, think it's great. How do you feel about all that? Like, just New Year in general?

Like, I feel like another, you know, clean slate type people. Actually, I went to that rare beauty event, I think you were out of town, and Martha Stewart spoke and she, oh my God, she's everything. Like, she so iconic. I took a photo with her. I don't know if I would consider that you put your arm around her.
A
I know it looked like she just stood there and then the next person would go.
B
Then I realized I like walked away. I was like, oh my God. Did everyone put their arm around her? I like asked immediately, cuz, did you.
A
Put your arm around? Yeah, of course.
B
I was like, did everyone else? And they're like, yeah, yeah. I was like, oh, thank God. Yeah.
A
She was just standing there, like, vibing.
B
No, I get it though, honestly. She. To be 82 and doing like a meet and greet. Like, she is rushing it.
A
Yeah.
B
You know, and she. They're like, hey, you're gonna go. But it was. It. It stuck with me. I will say the mess. They did like a little panel first. And one of the things she said was to constantly be. I have to think about the way she phrased it. Not reinventing yourself, but. What is that word? Re.
A
Reinventing the wheel.
B
No, no, not reinventing. It's not reinventing. It's evolving. That's what it was.
A
Evolving.
B
To constantly be evolving. And I was like, that is something that I really, you know, I mean, she is like the queen of evolving. But I want to take that with me because I feel like every year, who. What's my new Persona?
A
Who is she?
B
Yeah.
A
Literally us on tour right now.
B
Yes. Which is fine. But at the same time, it's like, no, I can just be a more evolved version of, you know, things that I already like or the things I'm.
A
I'm right there with you. That's my mindset. That's here. It's like, you don't need to be a totally new person. It's just like, how can I make myself even better? Like, constantly. I love that.
B
Leveling up, Leveling up.
A
Stepping our up. I hate that word. Like, I don't know.
B
I was gonna say I've been grossing this whole episode, so if it's to keep this.
A
Oh, no, no, no, no.
B
I know. That's not really in my vocab too much either.
A
I'll, like, type it sometimes, but, like. Yeah, it's just like, intense.
B
I said it like, the other day, I was like, don't be a blank. And I was like, whoa.
A
That's like something I'd say to, like, my brother.
B
Yeah, yeah.
A
Like, feels like dirty talk.
B
Yeah, yeah, it does.
A
Not that kind of dirty talk. No, it just feels naughty. They're not naughty. You know, vulgar. Vulgar.
B
That's fisherman aesthetic is. And then maybe we should curse like fish.
A
We should curse like fishermen. I love that Brook. So do you have a word of the year?
B
I think I kind of thought of one. I know you did wellness a few years ago, right?
A
I did wellness.
B
Was that two years ago or last year?
A
Two years ago, cuz last year it was growth. But it might have been three years ago when I did. I don't know.
B
Maybe. Well, I was thinking something in that realm because I feel like always I'm always about, like, oh, want. It was like, passion and clarity and, like, all these things. And I'm like, no, I want something that can just universally apply to, like, not that I want to be some fitness queen, but I was thinking health in the way of mental health.
A
Yes.
B
Spiritual health, physical health. Like, and just kind of applying that to everything. Like, oh, I want to rot in bed today and eat candy. That's health.
A
That's. That's health.
B
It is a different form of health, you know?
A
No, it's so true.
B
That's like filling the cup you pour from or of that. Yeah. But then also, like, actually health. Like, I want to be more. I don't even want to say ingredient conscious, but, like, I do want to focus on more on, like, whole foods and that sort of thing. I feel like I'm having my spiritual journey with that and, like, realizing, like, oh, maybe I don't need all these, like, artificial additives and literally everything I consume because, like, I eat a lot of packaged food.
A
So, yeah, same.
B
Which is fine.
A
But, like, something about going home for the holidays makes you want health after. You're like, yep. And not even. I don't know, Like, I feel like when I go home, it's always like, oh, did you hear? This person is sick. Or like, the. You know.
B
Yeah, it was always doom and gloomy. Get the comments. Like, did you hear about something? I'm like, oh, my God, I can't know.
A
And it makes you feel so grateful for your health. And, like, I feel so grateful that we're in our 20s and we're young and healthy, and it just makes you want to, like. It definitely inspires me to, like, keep going. It's like, damn, this is important for a reason. Like, I want to be like Martha Stewart when I'm 82.
B
Oh, my God.
A
She's doing and rare beauty panels. Like, that's amazing.
B
Seriously.
A
That's a great word.
B
Yeah. And someone on her team actually, like, we were talking because they were talking to Kenzie. I was with Kenzie, whatever. And they were like, keeping up with Martha is amazing. Like, she just has so much energy. I was like, they could that.
A
Yeah.
B
They were like, every day she wakes up, I was like, that is inspiring. Truly.
A
Like, oh, I just finally watched her documentary. I mean, I could see it. She gets on her golf cart thing every day, goes and checks on all the gardens. I'm like, wow, you're amazing.
B
Yeah, she's. She's incredible. Yeah, she really is.
A
And she's the it girl.
B
And she Owns it. I love it. I know the stories of her, like, listening to the radio and, like, being inspired from that. I'm like, how did you.
A
Like, that's incredible. I also didn't know so much about her. I didn't know she modeled. Like, I didn't know a lot about her. So that was really.
B
I didn't know she worked in finance. That was news to me. Her finance stint.
A
Yeah, that was incredible.
B
Love that. First, she's multifaceted. Multifaceted. So that's mine. What about your health?
A
So mine is, like, kind of weird.
B
Oh, my God.
A
I feel like. Like I don't like it. I don't know. And I kind of had. Then the second. It's just like it kept popping into my head.
B
That's. I feel like that's when it happened today. Someone's sending you a message?
A
Yeah, someone's sending me a message. And like, I feel like it sounds kind of weird.
B
No, no, please, let's. Let's hear it.
A
But then I. Then this other word's been coming in my head, so I am going to have a runner up because I'm going to try and live by both of these words.
B
You can have a subword.
A
I can. Okay.
B
Yeah.
A
So my main word that kept coming to me even, like, while I was at home is thoughtful. Right?
B
No, I like that.
A
And I. And I was trying to think of, like, a better word, but basically just, like, thoughtful in everything I do. Of course, like, thoughtful. Like, one of my goals this year is to, like, talk to more people in the elevator and just stuff like that. Like, to me, that's thoughtful. Just like, oh, you're thinking about. Oh, I'm awkward in an elevator right now. Like just now when I was coming up here for. For the studio, there's these two of the girls that got in there and I just didn't say anything to them. And then as soon as they left, I remembered my goals. Like, like, you're supposed to talk to them. So we're still working on it, but also just like, oh, like, this would be really kind to do for this person or thoughtful towards myself. Like, it's not just like trying to be a nicer person, but more so like intentional. Kind of intentional, maybe. But for some reason, thoughtful is what.
B
I like that I. I like.
A
Intentional is what I'm trying to.
B
Doing things with intent. Like, I guess.
A
Yeah, like my content being thoughtful. Got that. But also, like, it goes into, like, people pleasing. And you don't want to like people. Please. Too hard to the sun so it's. I don't know, that's like. I just want to like be more thoughtful.
B
It could be thoughtful in the other way though. Of like, oh, I feel like I'm people pleasing. Like, let me be thoughtful to not. Yeah, I mean, you could think of.
A
I love that. And I also, I also saw, I might have sent it to you. It was really funny. It was like this guy, he was like, this girl posted that she wants. Wants to put herself more. Put herself first. Did you guys in this to you or you saw it?
B
I saw it, yeah. It was like, trust me, babe, you do, you do. And I was like, like, she's like.
A
I really want to put myself first. Morning was like, you do. Like, I remember when it was our friend's birthday and you switched the dinner spot because you didn't like the menu.
B
Yeah. So we all know you put it.
A
Yeah. So you gotta like take it all with a grain of salt. But that was the first word. And the second word that might become my first word. It's just really been popping my head is discipline. Yuck. I know.
B
It's good to have that as a sub word.
A
Yeah, it's a subwoo.
B
No, it's a good word. It's a good word.
A
But just being disciplined. Like, I look at some people, Morgan Riddle, for example, I look at her and I'm like, she travels so much more than I do, yet she stays. She eats such good foods. She is so, like, I feel like she works out a lot. Like, not even just those things. Like, she is a hard working person. And that's because she's, she's disciplined. She is on all these different time zones, she's traveling all the time. And I'm like, no, she's disciplined. She's able to keep doing that.
B
I feel like she doesn't. She wouldn't say, like, I'm tired.
A
No.
B
Like, when she's not actually tired, like, she, you know, she's, she. I feel like she listens.
A
Yeah, she knows.
B
But more so, like, it's like, oh, you have a Pilates class book. Like, she's gonna go. She's gonna, she's gonna go.
A
She's gonna go. Yeah, I know. I'm just, I, I treat myself a little too much. I'm like, oh, you're so tired, sleeping. You know, I get it. But I feel like your body really knows. Your body really knows when you're like, no, no, no. I really do. Yes. So anyways, those are my two.
B
Wow, those are good words, I think.
A
Kind of the thoughtful one's. So weird.
B
I know.
A
I know how to like it. I'm just living by it. Do you have. Did you write down any goals or anything?
B
I have some random ones, yeah. Because on the note of that, like, I feel like, yeah, business goals still trust at the forefront, but I feel like I'm trying to get more into, like, embracing my later 20s and, like, finding more hobbies and just wait, like, living life more joyously.
A
Like, yeah, these are not business school. Business schools are business.
B
They're so out, so cares.
A
Yeah. Like, some people, it works for them, but not for the gals. Yeah, we need goals for our personal lives so that our businesses can flourish.
B
Oh, that's a great point.
A
It's true. Like, we have to be happy in our life to be able to do our business, at least for what we do.
B
Yeah. I've been catching myself a lot lately. Like, I've been filming a bunch of things on my phone or even just on my blog, whatever it is. And I, like, don't want to post. And I don't know, I've never been like this. I've always.
A
Always. Yeah.
B
And I feel like it's a different kind of burnout. It's. It's literally like I. I have the content, like, but for some reason, I'm just uninspired. I feel like that's where I'm at. Like, I'm like, who cares about me packing my suitcase? I'm sure people do care.
A
I care.
B
Well, that's nice.
A
And people do. Everyone loves.
B
But it feels like that to me. I'm like, oh, like, what is this contributing to? But it. I. That's like the ebb and flow, I guess, of doing this for some many years.
A
I go through phases where I'm like. Like, while I was home, I didn't even have stories up for days. Like, I was not even posting stories charged. But, like, that's crazy.
B
But I was like, you were intentionally being like, I'm offline. No.
A
Yeah, but I just, like, also wasn't inspired by anything else. I don't. I was. I was fine, by the way, guys, I was having a great time. But, yeah, I was just kind of enjoying my time off. I didn't feel the need to post, like, my outfit on my story. So I feel. It definitely, definitely happens.
B
Yeah. Tell me one of your goals.
A
Well, it's funny you said hobbies. I wrote find a hobby, AKA dance. Like, I. Every year. I said this last year too, though, that I wanted to dance or theater or something. And I just have.
B
I. But I feel like you have, like, places that offer the dance.
A
Like, they're there. I just have to, like, what have you find?
B
Aren't there, like, people that. I feel like every time we're out, like, you know, and you say you're interested in dance, like, there's people that are like, oh, me too. And they're like, oh, let's go.
A
Like, I know not your.
B
Totally.
A
Right. I just don't know what it is.
B
So I did. Well, what's holding you back?
A
Honestly, I think it's just that all the studios are, like, pretty far from me.
B
That's. That could be it. You know, that could be the excuse or not excuse. That'll be barrier. Or it could be that it's a commitment. I feel like a lot of times things are, oh, it's a weekly commitment. I can't do a weekly commitment. I need a drop in.
A
A drop in class is great. I know a lot of these actually are. But I don't know. So that's my first one. How. How about you?
B
That's a. That's a really good one. Yeah. And to keep it fun. Oh, you did that dance class also with the Rockettes.
A
That's what kind of inspired this. Yeah.
B
For my hobby, I really want to start scrapbooking, slash, junk journaling. Have you heard about this junk journal?
A
Well, you mean like back in the day, like, wreck this journal?
B
Well, yes, but there's probably more thinking more just blank notebook. And then you just. I've seen it all over TikTok. Now you'll start getting served it, of course, receipts, movie tickets. You just put all of your things in there and, like, kind of. It doesn't need to be aesthetic, but it could literally be like date night xyz. Like, and like, it's like a Polaroid and this or that. And you can make it into something.
A
That beautiful with it, for sure.
B
And then the scrapbooking elements, like, actually printing pictures, because I feel like I have nothing physical. And I love looking through a picture book, a scrapbook. You know, you're like, oh, here's my bar mitzvah book. My sweet 16, whatever it is. Like, you know when you go to someone's house and they're like, here's my. My book. Like, yeah, like, give me. What book am I gonna show?
A
No, that's cool. And you could just get a blank one that every time if you get home from something, you just get a glue stick and pop it on.
B
Yes. Yes. Or you, like, save all of your Trinkets and kind of, like, arrange it.
A
Later or do, like, a day. Yeah.
B
Yeah. And it could be. I've seen people do with very, like, odd. You know, like a flower. Like, it could be a Playbill.
A
Like, anything. Photo strip.
B
Yep.
A
That's really. I. Yeah, I have this one, like, bin. I just put, like, stuff like that in, and it just sits there.
B
Sentimental memories. Me, too. And I. But then it could also be, like, larger. It could be, like, okay, maybe I don't need this entire pamphlet. Not necessarily Playbill, but, like, you know, from the museum. I can, like, cut out one page and put it in here, and it's, like, equally as memorable. Definitely.
A
I really. I think that'll be so fun.
B
I know.
A
Nickel sneak at music. Light a candle, Romanticize it.
B
Yeah. It's a whole thing. I know. I think it could be a little personal book, because I feel like there was, like, journaling for a second, but I don't want it to be, like, a personal journal. Like, I'm fine. I want it to be the type thing that, like, I can show friends and show online and not be like, I wrote.
A
Here's my deepest, darkest secrets.
B
Right.
A
Yeah, no, definitely. I really like that a lot. Mine are so, like. I feel like normally I have, like, very specific things, but it's like, I literally wrote, stick to routine, discipline. Listening to your intuition. I learned a lot last year about, like, I really should listen to my intuition more. Health comes first. I'm just saying them because they're.
B
No, I love it. No, these are.
A
Talk to people in the elevator, slash hallway. Just, like, connecting with people more. I feel like the world is just not the best place right now. And I feel like it's just so important. Like, I've tried to actually talk to my Uber drivers more. Just a little, like, and right now, too, it's good because you could still say, like, happy New Year. Like, just little things. It makes their day. It makes your day. It makes it feel more warm and fuzzy.
B
That's really nice. I feel like in New York, you lose that a lot. Like, we have so much connection, but we don't. It's such. Such an interesting place.
A
There's so many people.
B
People.
A
Yet we. No one connects.
B
I feel like people would be the first to jump into action if, like, you know, you needed help, which is so great, but at the same time, like, they're not gonna say hi to you as they pass you by.
A
Yeah.
B
New York is such a weird place like that.
A
It's so weird. You're so right. Like we all just like look at our phones immediately. Which is just so not the vibe.
B
I know at all. You gotta be the change you wish to see in the world. You can start that positive momentum.
A
Yes. Do you got for me?
B
Oh, personal goals. I want to do home renovations and decorate.
A
Oh my gosh, yes. Did you see? I'm so sorry to interrupt. Did you see the new Extreme Makeover Home edition is out?
B
I did. Did you watch it?
A
I watched episode.
B
Oh, really? Is it like the old one? Like is it same vibe that bus?
A
It's a little different though, cuz the main girls are from the Home Edit and they do organization.
B
Oh, I love them. They have a nice Netflix show.
A
Oh, they have their own show?
B
Yeah. It's literally called the Home Edit. Yes.
A
I just. They were like both.
B
They've had it for a while. Yeah.
A
Oh, okay. Well, so now they have a show on Hulu where they, they still do like the house and stuff, but then they, they do the organization.
B
Oh, that's so cute. I love that.
A
You have to watch anyways, Home Renault, what do you have in mind?
B
But is it the same vibe where it's like, oh, the kid told us he liked fish, so we built an aquarium.
A
Oh, that's what I say. No, it's not as like intense, thank God. Because it's not realistic. It's. It's like, no, he's gonna love that treehouse in his room for two years and then he's gonna hate it. No, it's like really modern chic houses. Practical, but still a kid. Like their kids rooms have some kid elements, but it's more 2025. It's good. So you should watch it to get you inspired for your home reno. Hi, I'm Stassi Schroeder. On my podcast, I share candid updates from my personal life, chat with some of my best friends about what's going on in our our lives, give commentary on the latest pop culture headlines and sometimes deep dive into random topics. I'm obsessed with like human design. It's a bit all over the place, but that's how I like it. And you will too. Listen to my podcast Dossi, wherever you get your podcasts.
B
Wow, that's interesting because I've been a little into HGTV these days. Like that was like a throw on in the hotel. Like at night it was like, let's watch hgtv. It's like calming. I don't know why. Like the familiar format of the shows is very like comforting. Yeah, I think, but yeah, I want nothing like, crazy. It's not like I'm like, wreck that wall demolition. Like, no, but I feel like this is the year for, like, refining and, like, customizing. Yeah. In the second bedroom, I want to do like a sort of build in, like, bookshelf wall sort of thing. And it's not going to be all books, but I want it to be, like, part. This is my first time, like, I guess, explaining the vision online. But really, like, more cabinets so that.
A
I can, like, have like a hutch kind of.
B
Yes. And it'll be everything. Like, it will just be kind of a catch all for everything. And then like, also a desk built into it.
A
Oh.
B
That'S my, like, big construction project and finishing. I mean, that room was, like, barely started. So doing that room a few more, like, bedroom things. I just want to, like, refine and decorate. I feel like I've been very patient with, like, getting the right art because I didn't want to rush. I was like, all right, art should be meaningful. But it's like, no, I can. Let's go, like, let's go to the.
A
Store, you know, like, let's go look. I still don't have art above my bed. I'm like, when am I ever gonna do that? You start to get comfortable with how it looks. You're like, great. It's perfect.
B
I know. And I've really realized that most people, like, I feel like I go to, you know, friends apartments and stuff. I'm like, oh, okay. Because I like, the Internet makes you feel pressured to, like, have your place together and be finished and whatever. And I go to, like, friends apartments. I'm like, oh, this is how most people live. Like, not every corner needs that group person specifically curated.
A
The influencer in you. Yeah, that.
B
I'm like, oh, this wall is blank. How could I, you know?
A
Exactly.
B
Yeah. So it's okay to take your time and to have more meaningful, intentional things. Yes.
A
Thoughtful.
B
Thoughtful. Yeah. On that note, keeping up with the organization that I, like, literally had people help me with, you know, so just.
A
Keeping up the system.
B
The systems. Yeah. Which it's. It's happening. Happening. But I think I'm gonna get a storage unit. I think that might be on. Yeah.
A
That'll make it easier to organize because.
B
Yep. Well, I just have, you know, the big Christmas tree. No closet, you know, so.
A
But I'm sure it served you well.
B
Yeah, it was. No, but the Christmas, like, I want to use it next year, so.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
So you enjoyed it. So you'd like to use it Again.
B
Yeah. So I'm like, all right. Well, I feel like that's, like, real adult stuff. I'm, like, making those sort of decisions.
A
I know.
B
I'm like, wow, I'm getting storage unit like that. Know.
A
I know. But you need. Especially when you have two people in a place like you, you get a.
B
Lot of stuff going on.
A
Two stuff.
B
Two stuffs.
A
Double the stuff. Double stuffed Oreos. You know, double stuff.
B
It's all there. But no double stuffed Oreos. Oh, we're going natural. No, no.
A
Yeah. We're doing the Annie's organic.
B
No, I just need to be making better choices. I need to, like, you know, on vacation, like, you do, like, an appetizer and dessert with every meal. Like, I need to, like, get out of that mindset because, like, that go to bed. I'm like, oh, my stomach. I'm like, why I did this to myself?
A
Pains. You're like, what's going on?
B
To the point of, like.
A
I know. But that's a trip, and you have to enjoy it.
B
And you're right.
A
That's why New Year's motivation always happens, because it's right after the holidays when you're just, like, really enjoying it, as you should.
B
I know. I'm literally, like, sitting on the couch. My mom's, like, feeding me, like, dessert. Like, I'm like, thank you. I love it here. Sleeping till, like, a 11.
A
I know. And it's so nice because we never do that, like, during the regular year.
B
So it's really nice to really relax.
A
Yeah.
B
Besides that, I feel like I really just want to. You know, we're traveling a lot this year, which is good, and I want to.
A
How many? So you. You were talking about bachelorettes and weddings.
B
Like, it's more weddings and bachelorettes. As I was thinking about that, there's a lot.
A
I was even counting, like, how many I have. I was like, oh, my God.
B
Like, we probably have around the same. I think I have, like, three or four. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Around the same. They're all four, pretty much. Destination, though.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah. Very exciting. And I have one bachelor as of now, I think maybe some later in the year. It depends. I have a lot of weddings in 2026. Oh, my gosh. I'm kidding. So I'm like, when did the.
A
What year is it?
B
Like, when will they do the Bachelor Ed for that? Like, you know, is it end of.
A
This year, top of the year, next year? I don't think. As far as I know.
B
I like to. Brook's a fun time.
A
Yeah. No, they Love. I mean, you are a fun.
B
No, I'm joking. Yeah.
A
Bachelorettes. Well, I'm feeling motivated. I'm feeling caught up. I'm feeling so excited. We're going to have so much fun in California next week. And. Yeah, that's all.
B
What is that black can you have right there?
A
Oh, no days off. It's called.
B
Oh, my. My gosh. I couldn't tell about cold brew. A beer like that is. Is this a new brand?
A
In today's episode of Danielle's Teeth Health. These are just like lower pa or higher pH, which is better for your teeth.
B
I knew this, but. So this is a different brand.
A
Yeah, this is a new brand because I didn't like how the other ones I got were in bottles. I really like a can, so my dad helped me find these, but they have, like, a big dog in the front of it. So it's.
B
Yeah, it looks like.
A
Like an energy drink or something.
B
No, I was thinking. I was like, a can of cold brew. I was like, there's no way a.
A
Can of cold brew. Also, Brook sip cam.
B
I did have a few sips of my coffee, thank you.
A
So exciting.
B
It tastes better in a venti cup. I do not make the rules. It does.
A
It definitely. When I go to Duncan, I get the big one and it hits. I don't know why I don't do that for Starbucks.
B
It's the. Oh, my gosh. I hate to be like.
A
Like that, but it does. It hits. Hold hand.
B
Well, it does. Okay. Cozy.
A
Cozy.
