That if somebody left you, discarded you, just left you in the dust and and just did not treat you right, that is not a reflection of you. That's not your fault. It has nothing to do with your value. It's not you, it truly is them. If somebody doesn't treat you right, it's not your fault. So if we can leave you with anything today, it's the lesson that do do not let other people's actions determine your worth. It has nothing to do with you. Feel sorry for them and know that they don't know how to clearly they don't know how to even process emotion. They don't know how to do the right thing. They don't know how to go about things the right way. And that's not your fault. And it has nothing to do with your worth. It does not determine your value. Like we're so I I tell that to Ari, she has to tell that to me. It's not our fault when other people don't treat us right and it's not your fault. And guess what? We've said it before. We'll say it if somebody Left. If they left, they were never your person to begin with. And you have to say, thank you, Jesus, because he has one person for you. And it's not the person who left you in the cold. That's not them. So you say, thank you, Jesus, for getting the wrong person out of my life. And I'm ready, Lord, for you to bring the right person in your time.
D
And I honestly, you know, even you just saying that, like, I needed to hear that again. Like, you guys don't understand. You saying that, like, just helped me. Like, I need to hear these things still. That's why, like, everyone's like, well, why aren't I healed? But this has taken too long. I know, guys. I. I know, and it's okay. And we have to give ourselves grace. Heartbreak and pain and healing takes time.
C
Totally.
D
Yeah, it takes time. And. But who you're going to be at the end of this heartbreak, it's. You're not even going to recognize yourself. And that's the most unbelievable thing about pain and hardships and heartbreaks. It's that through the pain, God builds you into this person. That at the end of it, you're truly unrecognizable. Though I'm still healing. I can't believe, like, the woman that he raised me up and molded me into, I. I can't believe it. It's unbelievable. And I wouldn't have been able to be this woman if I didn't go through the suffering, if I didn't go through the heartbreak. Even though it was the worst thing that I've ever. It was the greatest blessing of my life. It was the only thing that.
C
That's crazy. Sorry, can we just stay there really quick?
D
Yeah.
C
And you mean that, right? The worst thing that ever happened to you is the best thing that ever happened to you.
D
The worst thing, but the best thing. And I mean that with my whole heart. Because God will allow things to happen. Like, some things, like, aren't in his will, like, horrible things happen. And it's not like the perfect will, but he will allow things to happen to get you to the point you become so hungry because he sees your heart. He saw my heart, how willing it was. He saw how good I was. He saw that I wanted to, but I was just too stuck. And so he allowed the brokenness to come in. And that's what made me so hungry. That's what made me so dependent. That's what made me cling on to him and get to know him. Because nothing else was curing my pain. I tried everything, but it was only Jesus that that filled that void. And so I'm like, please, I know that you guys are hurting, but just let it hurt. Just every day, like this pain that you're going through, be like, you know what? It doesn't matter. I'm gonna get through this with Jesus and who he's gonna rise me up into is going to be just. I won't even recognize myself. And focus on that. Don't focus on the pain. I know it's really hard when you're in it, and I know. And I'm not disregarding the pain, but I just, just know that I'm in it with you. I really am. And her too. We both if you have a locked.

Girls Gone Bible
Episode: GGB+ | OVERCOMING HEARTBREAK PREVIEW
Release Date: December 11, 2024
In the "Overcoming Heartbreak Preview" episode of Girls Gone Bible, hosts Angela Halili and Arielle Reitsma delve into the profound and often painful experience of heartbreak. They offer listeners compassionate insights rooted in faith, emphasizing that personal worth is not defined by others' actions.
Arielle (C) begins the discussion by addressing the emotional turmoil that comes when someone leaves or mistreats you. She emphasizes that such actions are not a reflection of one's value:
"If somebody left you, discarded you, just left you in the dust and just did not treat you right, that is not a reflection of you. That's not your fault."
[01:11]
Arielle reassures listeners that their self-worth remains intact regardless of how others treat them. She encourages embracing the idea that the departure of the wrong person makes way for the right one ordained by Jesus:
"If somebody Left, they were never your person to begin with. And you have to say, thank you, Jesus, because he has one person for you."
[02:26]
Angela (D) responds with personal reflections on healing, acknowledging that the process is ongoing and requires grace:
"I know, guys. I know, and it's okay. And we have to give ourselves grace. Heartbreak and pain and healing takes time."
[02:49]
She elaborates on how enduring heartbreak transforms individuals, often leading to unexpected personal growth:
"Through the pain, God builds you into this person. That at the end of it, you're truly unrecognizable."
[02:50]
Angela shares her testimony of how suffering and heartbreak, despite being the worst experiences, became the greatest blessings by deepening her dependence on Jesus:
"I tried everything, but it was only Jesus that filled that void."
[03:52]
The hosts discuss the paradoxical nature of pain leading to personal growth. Arielle emphasizes that embracing the pain rather than ignoring it is crucial for healing:
"Please, I know that you guys are hurting, but just let it hurt. Just every day, like this pain that you're going through, be like, you know what? It doesn't matter. I'm gonna get through this with Jesus."
[04:00]
Angela adds that focusing on the end result—becoming a transformed individual through God's grace—helps in navigating the immediate pain:
"Who you're going to be at the end of this heartbreak, it's. You're not even going to recognize yourself."
[02:50]
Wrapping up the discussion, both hosts reaffirm the importance of faith in overcoming heartbreak. They encourage listeners to trust in God's timing and plan, assuring them that the pain they experience is temporary and serves a greater purpose in their spiritual journey.
"Don't focus on the pain. I know it's really hard when you're in it, and I know. And I'm not disregarding the pain, but I just, just know that I'm in it with you."
[04:30]
Angela and Arielle conclude by reminding their audience that they are not alone in their struggles and that through faith, they will emerge stronger and more aligned with their true selves.
