Okay, but was the dick big?
B
Yes.
C
And he was big. See?
A
And that's the. And when a guy has a big dick, you can get away with a lot. You can be mid ugly.
B
That's where big dick energy came from.
A
Exactly.
B
This podcast is a Dear Media production.
C
Hi, guys.
B
Hi, guys.
C
Welcome back to another episode of Girls.
B
Gotta Eat and welcome to 2026.
C
Happy New Year, guys. We made it. We did it a whole other year.
B
Reena. I am not wearing earrings and I'm so naked. I hate this. It's like the one thing I cannot stand to not to forget.
C
I don't even want to look at you.
B
I'm disgusted. I got new earrings for Christmas. Like, I just. How did I forget?
C
Five rings on the nails were worse that day though. They were green. At least you could brush your.
B
If you're watching, I am still having gold nails into the new year. We're recording obviously before the year ends. But Julieta can't come till next week. So I am entering the year with these nails and I feel like that's a bad omen.
C
You also told me yesterday you haven't got a pedicure in two months, which is crazy.
B
You always pull this shit. New year. Same you.
C
I haven't gotten one. About six weeks. And I am starting to enter French manicure in the winter. I don't care. French manicure territory. Care. Well, do you sleep next to somebody every night?
B
I don't.
C
My toenails are so long.
B
The fact that you said that I scratched it with my toenail the other night.
C
Okay. You were clipping your toenails on the floor the other day in your parents house.
B
Is everyone. What is actually happening?
C
She's so brave. Starting the year. No, I wanted to borrow the clippers because my toenails. My family makes fun of me for how long? My toenails are like, frequently I put.
B
A paper towel down and I collected the clippings.
C
Yeah, but there's like a lot of. Your parents have a lot of pets. And I was like, someone's gonna eat that.
B
So it reminds me of. My dad had three really funny jokes during COVID one a month when I lived with them in 2020. And one of the funniest was he was clipping his toenails in the living room. I don't think he had a paper towel down. And I go, are those your toenails? Are you clipping your toenails right now? He goes, yeah. Do you want them? And it was so funny. I said, you're just like your Toenail clippings are flying everywhere. He was like, yeah, do you want them? I was like, all right. Your dad is so time to go back to the city.
C
So funny.
B
So, yeah, we had a great holiday.
C
It was my favorite Christmas. This is my 8th, 7th or 8th time with your family for Christmas. I had to skip Covid because of COVID And then the next year I got Covid. Really showed you guys who was boss.
B
I was like, your voice sounds crazy. Are you sure you want to come?
C
You're like, I feel fine, I'm just going to come. But no. It was my favorite Christmas we've had because Louisa came. The boys were so fun.
B
Just Christmas with kids, it's different. Not a hot take. But at this age they're two and three and so fun. And everyone just really agreed this was their favorite Christmas. And my brother could not stop thanking me and also you and Louisa for watching them on Christmas Day.
C
He sent me the nicest text. Your brother is like a different type of person.
B
Well, because him and Steph cooked the dinner for the most part. And he was like stressed. He was like, you guys always say you'll help with the boys, but like, not that you don't, but like you.
C
Need to, you don't understand.
B
Keep them entertained the whole time. They can't like be in the kitchen and they, they want to be with their mom and dad. And we did that and I was so exhausted. Like to keep those boys entertained, it's just they get distracted easily or they get tired. You just have to keep it going. Like one minute we were playing restaurant and the next I was up giving them a puppet show. Like you just have to keep them constantly entertained.
C
I just, I don't have it in me. Long term, couple hours. I was exhausted, I was drunk.
B
But it was so, so fun and I felt really like there was too much, There was too many presents and there was too many pastas we tried to make. And I was like, we have to pair some of this shit down this year. And it felt good. It felt like not too many presents and just the right amount of food and not as many dishes and everything just felt right and the vibes were high and it was so wonderful to have you there. And I just love like seeing you with my nephews because you don't get to be with yours as much. And it was just really sweet.
C
Well, he can't talk yet. He took his first steps like yesterday. My sister in law just called me this morning, so he'll get there eventually. But I was like, having fun running around with them.
B
And.
C
Yeah, I just.
B
I love them so much. And we are going to tell you guys the results of the appetizer contest on Christmas Eve, but we're going to thank our partners first. Okay.
C
Thanks. To better help, get 10% off@betterhelp.com GGE and article, head to article.com for a beautiful new sofa, dining table or bed.
B
And thank you. To Revolve, get 15% off your first order@revolve.com GGE with code GGE. Okay. Appetizer contest. So you have been there since 2018?
C
Yeah. I feel that I have stepped up everyone's game.
B
And we've been doing this in our family for, like, 12 years. We realized. And Raina always gets slighted.
C
It's every Christmas Eve everybody submits a dish.
B
Yes.
C
And my first year, I really, I phone it in the first couple years, but I was like, I'll just make a thing. Like, we feel like it wasn't like.
B
Everybody stepped it up.
C
Everybody stepped it up when I showed up.
B
Yeah. So everybody. It just gets more and more elaborate every year. And this year, you tied for third.
C
Okay. So your brother told me he was doing tuna crispy rice. And I was like, okay, so here's the. I was going to make last year's dish and just like, update it. But like, tuna crispy rice, I was like, that is a wringer. Like, that will win. But crispy rice is easy to fuck up because sometimes you eat it and it's just rock hard. I feel like we get it at restaurants all the time. It is just a rock.
B
The McDonald's hash browns.
C
Yes. And I was like, I will try to do something similar. I'll do Jewish tuna crispy rice, which is latkes.
B
Yeah.
C
And so which, if you guys don't know that it's a Jewish food, we do it for Hanukkah. It's like shredded potatoes that you fry into little cakes. And I topped it with crab, like, crab salad. And since it's like Delaware, Maryland area, I put old bay in it and celery seeds. And the crab salad, I'll tell you what your brother did to improve upon it. Of course he improved upon it. And Louisa is gluten free. And everybody, like, made gluten free versions for her, which is nice too. But that's what I made. I made old bay latkes with crab salad.
B
They were unbelievable.
C
Thank you.
B
And I will say Matt did win with the Christie race, which it was just. I knew he was going to. They Were unbelievable. Better than any restaurant. And he had made them, what, three times before. Like, he really put in the work.
C
It's my Achilles heel every year is that Matt actually practices the dishes.
B
No one does that but him, though.
C
Yeah, but, like, that's what you got to play to win. Matt, like, plays when you. Steph, like, actually made these dishes out of time. Where was. I did think about. I stayed at Megan's for the week before, and I did think about testing a res. Latkes are tough. They look easy, but if the potatoes are too wet, they will never crisp up. And mine didn't crisp up enough.
B
Yours were great, but they were a lot of work. And so Matt won. Buck got second, which I usually always support Buck's placing, and I didn't this year. He made these pheasant sliders. They were fine, and I hope he's not listening, but they didn't deserve to win. And I'm going to start cheating because I tally the votes and I announce the winners, and I'm done being honest.
C
I mean, give it to people who deserve it. That was it.
B
I just. I literally was like, I can rig this. I'm too honest.
C
Yeah, but you're so honest that nobody would suspect that you did rig it.
B
Exactly. This should have been the year.
C
I mean, Buck, just listen. I love Buck, but he didn't do anything else special. He didn't put, like, tomato or lettuce on it. He didn't toast the buns.
B
Yeah, it just wasn't his best. And then you and Steph, she made this Gruyere.
C
Like a Gruyere onion tart.
B
Onion tart. It was like a French onion soup tart. It was unbelievable. You guys tied for third. And so Shashank, he went to see his family, which he was with me for days before that. And he. His family does big Christmas Eve, so we didn't spend that together, which I'm glad he, like, got to be. He surprised his family. They didn't think he was coming. It was, like, very sweet. But he was going to do these fried paneer sliders inspired by a dish we had at PJ palace here in la, which is an incredible place to go. It's like Indian elevated, like, bar food, essentially. It's, like, really, really yummy. And then he was. I was going to have to do too much to execute it. I was like, I can't do this.
C
When he was explaining to me, he's like, all she has to do is assemble it. All she has to do is bread the paneer make a slaw and then build the sandwich.
B
He was gonna bread it. I was just gonna have to deep fry it.
C
Like. Yeah, that's too hard.
B
12. No, I'm not pieces. I can't do this. So we did these, like, naan with some cheese and butter. And butter chicken dipping sauce. They were fine. They were totally fine. They weren't gonna be a winner, but he's coming for everybody next year.
C
And your dad made chocolate dipped salty potato chips.
B
They were unbelievable. We had to tell Aaron they were gone.
C
Could not.
B
He was obsessed. He was just one track mind for those chips.
C
I liked all the food this year.
B
It was the best. It was the best of everything. It was really great.
C
So what your brother did. So I left like three latkes behind with crab salad on it. So he took them and put them in the air fryer so that the crab was warm. And he crisped up the latkes again. And he put more Old Bay on top of it. It looked unbelievable.
B
Him and Steph, we were talking about this couples that both of them are such phenomenal cooks and bakers. You don't see it a lot. I don't even. They are the same. They are both so good. I've never had anything that wasn't incredible that they both made.
C
Usually you see one person that's like the deejay of the whole situation, and the other person's like a sous chef and not them.
B
That's.
C
It's crazy that they can do it.
B
It really is unbelievable. So anyway, those are the results. We know you guys are always invested, and we are looking for a corporate sponsor for next year and maybe a cookbook sponsor. Yeah. So next year we are going to really do this right. We can hire Bobby to go film the real.
C
Okay, great.
B
And speaking of Bobby, we just wanted to take a minute and plug him. Bobby west side Robert McMullen. Allegedly, that's his real name. But Bobby Western name, his Christian names, government name. He is just our dear friend who hosts all of our holiday shows. And he's gone on the road with us a couple times. And he's just such a wonderful friend of ours. And we've talked about him before in his app, and he is a trainer, but he started this app called Adonis. And we just think this is a great thing to plug for the new year because you really can find a trainer in pretty much any city. I just asked him to clarify this.
C
It's five major cities right now. So there was Boston, DC, New York, LA. What am I missing?
B
Chicago and Chicago, it's an app that you download again, it's called Adonis. But you can also go to their website and you will find your location, your price, and what you're looking for, whether it's like boxing, yoga, strength training, and they'll show you all the trainers that can do it for you. And they have all these events in different cities. And he's just, like, poured his blood, sweat, and tears into this. And it's a great brand and just a great way to find a trainer if that's what you're looking for this year.
C
I can't believe how hard he works on this. Like, he came and stayed with me in LA for your wedding, and he stayed with me for a couple days ahead of your wedding to do, like, events for Adonis. And we woke up hungover every day. Sunday, I was, like, the most hungover before your wedding. And he, like, went to an Adonis event. Like, he's just, like, pushes through it. He has the most energy. And, like, he's just like. I don't know. I just. I'm so amazed by what he's done.
B
And what he's built.
C
And, yes, this is perfect for the new year if you guys want to just, like, get in shape on your terms.
B
I know. He's just. He mcwing, too. If you guys, like, are. Are keeping tabs on him, his importance in his role in our lives, those are the main roles.
C
Just, he's always naked in our lives. That's whose body you say.
B
But I just. I would go to join Adonis on Instagram, and then you can get the link in their bio. But you can also just look for Adonis on the App Store. And we're doing more fitness stuff today with Cody Rigsby. But we just figured, you know, let's plug our friend and, you know, we just have so many amazing people in our lives that have built incredible things and work really hard, and we want to tell you guys about them.
C
Yeah.
B
Okay.
C
Do you want to talk about last year's resolutions and did we accomplish them? Do you want to talk about.
B
I was going to surprise you with that.
C
If you accomplished your resolutions, I was going to tell you that you accomplished them.
B
You accomplished all yours.
C
I had one.
B
No, you didn't.
C
Because.
B
The main thing, the TLDR of all of this is you accomplished our joint goal. And I did it.
C
What was my joint goal?
B
Our joint goal was to get our pussies lasered for good.
C
I'm glad you brought this up, because in 2026, I'm not. I'm abdicating from laser. I have gotten laser, like, 17 times. I'm not a candidate for laser. I don't know what to tell you. I still have. I still have hair, and I've just made peace with it. I don't know what to do. Like, I've gone to two different amazing companies. I just.
B
What is going on?
C
Laser is strong, but I am stronger than laser. Right. I still have armpit hair. Nature fought back. Yes.
B
I tried to get a bare puss, and nature fought back.
C
Maybe it's a blonde hair. Like, I don't have, like, a full bush. I can't grow a full bush anymore. But like I said, I have hair.
B
I do not.
C
Look, I'm not a bald eagle by any stretch of the imagination.
B
Oh, my gosh. Okay, well, if you guys have been keeping up, we both went to this place that Raina won't let me say because I would want to drag them, but we can, apparently, and we were not impressed. And we. Our hair kept growing back. And I will say mine is less. And so at the end of 2024, we were like, 2025, we're going to do this. And you did do it, though. You tried, at least. I didn't. I never went and did a session in all of 2025. I was just too busy.
C
I went continuously.
B
And so it. Well, let's just give that goal up.
C
Just. I mean, in 2026, I'm unsubscribing from.
B
Laser, but if you're curious, like, I just shave now. There's. There is less hair. I mean, I did, what, five or six sessions, like there should be, and I just have to fudgeing shave my pussy.
C
Like, how do you think I feel? I like, 17 sessions.
B
Maybe I will try to go back to the other place. You said. You said you felt like the lasers were stronger.
C
Definitely stronger at the other place. And I love it there, and it's wonderful, and they do a great job, but I. I just don't think that I'm a candidate.
B
Okay.
C
And I think my body also knew that, like, maybe someday, like, hair will come back in style.
B
Well, Kim Kardashian said, it's back. The bush is back. So your goals were that and more.
C
I did do that.
B
You did do that. And then just enjoy your. And I did do that. Was it you? I just listened this morning. Did you.
C
I have a word, doc, that.
B
Oh, I went back and listened this morning. And you just wanted to, obviously, you would, like, enjoy your house. Enjoy your and fuck more.
C
I did all.
B
You did all your goals.
C
I didn't. Well, my goals weren't that hard. You were a huge help in doing my. Not the fucking. I know. Fuck you. But really, I slept with a couple people I didn't even see coming this year. Now, it was crazy. And I mean, really, wow. And I really enjoyed a lot of my shit. And I did nothing else. I accomplished nothing else.
B
Well, I mean, now it feels like it's so dated. We're talking about last year, but you started standup and planned a tour and announced it at the buzzer fourth quarter. Yeah, at the buzzer you did. So that is such a huge thing. That was not on your list. Like, I think when it comes to goals, you won 2025.
C
Well, you got married. And we will talk about it. You've done a lot this year.
B
My goals. I listen backward shoot a special, and I was listening back, and I wasn't sure. At the beginning of 2025, I was like, I'm going to do this tour, but I. I'm going to probably shoot a special, But I was treading lightly about it because I wasn't sure. But I. I listened back and I was, like, kind of emotionally listening to it. And so I did do that. I did get married. And then my other things were the lasering and Lasik, which I did not do. And I am doubling down on not getting Lasik. I'm going to go get a glasses eye exam today.
C
Oh, so you're not going to do Lasik at all?
B
I mean, I. I may, but at this point, I'm like, I don't know. I'm excited by the thought of cute new glasses. So I'm heading to Warby right after this.
C
I don't know. At the beginning of last year, I was like, my whole life, I've really subscribed to Hustle culture. I do subscribe to Hustle culture. You and I work really hard. I like working hard.
B
That's my identity.
C
And I like that it's my identity. We have a great episode coming up, actually, about, like, not making work your whole identity. And we're really excited about that. But I didn't really know what this year was gonna look like. Cause, like, yes, I made jokes that, like, I was gonna enjoy my shit, and I did, but, like, that's not really me at my core. I wanna do both. I wanna, like, work really hard and feel really professionally accomplished. And I think you and I both feel like those are the things we hold the highest and what we do professionally, I think contributes really positively to the world. So I love doing our job. And I just was like, what is this year gonna look like? And last year, last year at 2025, I was like. And listen, I enjoyed my shit, but I am really ready to get back to work.
B
Yeah. Yeah. And touring. Do you want to talk about our goals?
C
Well, I just want to congratulate you for 2025. You had an unbelievable year. It was really amazing just being a part of it and kind of taking a backseat to it and just watching. But also, just like all of your bachelorette parties, Shade, they were so fun. And watching you film this special and work so hard and selling out all these shows and marrying somebody who I really love so much and I think is such a high quality human being. And I just. I just. I'm so proud of you. Really, you really nailed it.
B
Well, thanks. And this coming up is your year. And so now I want to run this by you. So I have known this for a while, but I feel more than ever, I am an odd year girly.
C
Okay, Those are your years.
B
I have big milestone moments in every year, but I sometimes can't even remember what happened in the even ones. I can tell you all the highlights from 2013-2015-2017-2019. Oh, 2019-2021-2023-2025, those other years, what even happened?
C
You got engaged.
B
I know. And we did start the podcast in 2018. Okay, there are some outliers, but here, hear me out. I would say that, yes, we started the podcast in 2018, but we met in 2017, and I think that's more important. And yes, I got engaged in 2024, but I still think 2023 and 2025 are more important in our relationship.
C
What happened in 2023?
B
You met, we met, fell in love, the whole thing. You know, I feel like that was like, oh, my God, right before I turned 40. It was like the whole thing. And I also. The first two months of 2020 were unbelievable, but the rest of the year fucking canceled those out. So I don't even look forward to even years. I don't know. Like, every time an odd year, I'm like, yes, it's my fucking year. I'm an odd year girl. Okay, 2026. I'm already looking forward to 2027. And I was thinking about it. I'm just like a number person. And we've talked about this. That numbers I've had with Shash.
C
Oh, yeah, same.
B
I. My whole birthday is odd. So I was born the seven month, ninth day, 1993. Year, obviously 1983. So everything is odd. Odd. And I'm just curious if anyone else feels like they lean more toward the other. And maybe there's a little part that I'm manifesting on some level, but it just is always like this. Like those odd years I just remember in such a big way, and the ones between are just, like, not really on my radar.
C
There was one year that you kept saying, was it two? Was it 2023? You were like, this is the best year. And I was like, I'm having the worst time of my life. I feel like if you.
B
If you ran the tape, you might be more even.
C
Okay, So I think that we have opposite years, and I think that this is true. And so I got served a couple tiktoks about this, and so I was reading it. The Chinese zodiac signs, there's always animals or reptiles applied to what the years are.
B
So 2025 was the year, like, reptiles aren't animal.
C
I was like, is it an animal?
B
I think you cut mammals.
C
Well, 2025 is the year of the snake, and it is a reptile.
B
They're all animals.
C
Wait, mammals?
B
And there's mammals, reptiles, amphibians, but they're all.
C
They're all animals. Raina, don't do this.
B
Yes, they're all animals. Everything's an animal. A fly, an ant.
C
But under animal is reptiles and amphibians.
B
And mammals and mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish.
C
Okay. Fish feel like reptiles.
B
Keep it moving.
C
Okay, well. Okay. So I was reading about the Chinese zodiac signs, and last year was the year of the snake. 2025, and 2026 is the year of the horse. And I really related to this. And I was like, Ashley could not relate to this last. So 2025, year of the snake. The wood snake, specifically.
B
I love the wait of the woods.
C
Which makes sense why I had sex with all those people.
B
Oh, my God.
C
But here.
B
Both very sexual. In the W. Snake.
C
The year of the snake is about slowing down. And I knew you. You can't relate to this. Okay? It's about stepping back, observing, becoming, refining your identity. But progress happens kind of behind the scenes. In the year of the snake, the year of the horse.
B
So you.
C
The year of the horse. Movement, freedom, momentum. So 2025. Think, heal, plan. Shed your old skin like a snake. 2026, Horse act, declare, move, claim freedom. Like 2025. We're preparing in silence.
B
Yeah, preparing in silence.
C
Waiting in the wings. 2026, execution and movement. I was like, this is so exact. Last year I didn't do anything. I just, I got wood and I listened behind the scenes and 2026 just.
B
Slithered around behind the scenes.
C
2026, horse charging forward. Horse energy.
B
Yeah. Big horse energy. Yeah.
C
I am a horse girl. So I was like, I really relate to this so deeply. And I was like, this is the opposite of what Ashley did. Ashley horsed all year.
B
I guess I'm not Chinese. Big reveal. Catch me in 2027 with the fire goat.
C
I mean, it does. When I look back, like, I feel like I shed. I mean, I definitely had, I don't want to say friend breakups in 2025, but I shed some relationships in 2025 and recalibrated quite a few relationships and towards the end of 2024 as well, and I end the year being feeling really like solid with where I'm at with those things. I feel like I kind of put a period on the end of most of those relationships and where I'm at with different people and I feel good about where I'm at with most people.
B
Yeah. I mean, you really just seem like you're thriving and happy and like as. Are you ready to go into the new year.
C
Ready to be a horse.
B
I know. Ready to charge through. So I love that.
C
I love this.
B
Okay, do you want to talk about your goals?
C
Yes. I have two main goals.
B
Okay.
C
I've already launched the tour, but I'm gonna hopefully go on a 30 city tour, sell it out, perform. I'm really excited. I'm really nervous and anxious and I just feel a lot of anxiety in my body and I'm just excited to do the whole thing for the first time because I've been doing a lot of standup, but it's not an hour straight. And so I'm excited to walk out in front of our audience and they're just so loving and wonderful. And you and I were talking about this and I wanna remember to enjoy it. I wanna remember to slow down and not feel so bogged down by work and the travel and going cold places in the winter. And I want to just remember, like pause a lot and just be like, this is really like a. This is something to be proud of and to enjoy.
B
Yeah. And when you are in cold and you've traveled and you're checking into another hotel and you're fucking lugging your suitcase around and you have those feelings, just remember that you'll miss it when it's gone. That's all I can say. Just that's your self Talk. Just fucking enjoy it. Because you will miss it when it's gone.
C
It's a really different experience. I mean, I've never toured without you. Like, it's been me and you and an assistant and our tour manager and Ryan. And like, it's this giant group of people with us always. And this is much more isolating, you know, so it's a different experience. So I want to just remember to enjoy it. My other goal is to move back to New York.
B
Okay. Wow. Hard launch.
C
Figure out what to do with my house. Yeah, I don't know. We'll figure it out together. You know, you and I and Shashank, we're a bonded pair. So it's a family. We'll figure it out.
B
So we were in New York for a week between the show and going to Delaware for Christmas, and people asking us, like, when we're moving back. I feel like you started to get like, you can't ask us this again. Like, it felt like when you get married and someone asked, so when are you having a baby or you get engaged? So when's the wedding? I mean, it was that kind of energy and this just as people that love us, that want us to be back there, so it's no shade towards them. It's like, I would be asking too, but it started to get like, oh, my God, I can't. How many more times are we gonna answer this? And again, it's just, of course people are asking that I would do.
C
I don't have an answer. You know, I feel like that' where our community is. That's where I want to be. I want to be closer to family. I want to be, like, just on the East Coast. I feel like I'm a New Yorker and that's. I love LA really deeply, but that's where I kind of see my future and our future. And I don't have an answer, you know? Cause, like, I have this tour and I will look forward to coming home to my house in LA and the weather. But that ultimately is my goal, is to do this tour, move back to New York, and then I have a couple little goals. They're sports related, which is crazy. I've never said this in my life, and I set really small goals. I want to go skiing once. Ok. Because I have committed to hating skiing, but I haven't gone skiing in 20 years.
B
Okay.
C
So I don't know if I hate it.
B
You should ski. You're so low to the ground.
C
Yeah.
B
You're not gonna fall as hard as I would you know, like, you should be skiing.
C
I should. And I mean, I feel like these are skills that a three year old has and not me. So I want to go skiing one time. I want to go golfing one time.
B
Okay.
C
And our friend Hallie is this amazingly talented golfer, so I think she'll just take us one time to go off range. I'll see if I like it. And I want to learn to play tennis.
B
Okay.
C
That's my thing. I actually want to learn to do. Not paddle or padel or whatever you call it.
B
Pickleball?
C
No. Paddle Ping pong? No. These like little paddles. It's like very pickleball. No, no. It's like in between and it's fancy and hippies days. Okay. Real tennis. I want to actually learn how to play tennis. I want to commit to going to more live music because I feel like I just missed so many concerts last year that like, it's really. I never cared about live music in my entire life. I mean, even when I met you and. And live music is so important to you. Like, I've really never cared that much, but I feel like I missed like Tate McCray and Sabrina Carpenter and Machine Gun Kelly, most importantly. And like, I just want to go to more concerts.
B
Can I tell you, please, a concert? I'm going to. Reena, you're not ready. I feel like you're not going to see this coming. We decided this. You're obviously welcome to join, but me and Shashank and Ham and Corey are going to go to. It's called the Summer of 99 Festival in Chicago. And it's Creed and Bush and Limp Bizkit and Hoopa Stank and the Verve by.
C
This is crazy.
B
Well, I think we're gonna go.
C
That's funny. We just got talking about, like, I.
B
I don't like Nickelback, but I also don't need to hate on Nickelback. I do like Creed.
C
Those times were fun back in the day. Bush. Wait, where? When is this in the summer?
B
It's going to be July 18th and 19th. I only really care about the second day. I don't really care about Cypress Hill and Biscuit as much as I care about Creed and Bush.
C
Well, we like Chicago and I think this will be great. I probably will not join you, but.
B
Okay. I don't want to hijack your goals.
C
I don't know what I'm going to do in July, but. Probably. But that sounds really fun. I want to take a trip with that.
B
We love them. We love being around, like really Shijonkin. This is my best friend since I was 4 years old. My other best friend. And I just want to do something. They don't get out a lot. They have three kids. And so I think this will like get them out and to. To take a trip that's manageable. And anyway, I think I have two more.
C
I want to drink water.
B
Okay.
C
Not just be more hydrated. Like, I don't drink any water. Like, I realize a lot of days I get to the end of the day and the only thing that's liquid in my body is coffee and tequila. Like, I don't drink water ever. And now that I'm 40, I think I should drink water. And I want to get into Love Island. So that's really important to me this year. And I have a other goals, but those things are like, really important to me. This is. I, you know, I realized as I wrote this, I have zero romantic goals for the year. I just don't care.
B
Good.
C
I just feel like when you're really excited about your life professionally, other things just don't.
B
I mean, that's really so accurate. And if you are back in New York, you just don't think about it. Like, I, I just. You're so busy, we. I just can't stop thinking about the way that I have a different brain in New York vs LA. And you were just, just busy running around, do not have time to be bothered. And I'm not saying we don't date. We dated in New York. People date in New York. It's not that. It's not about, like, how could you care about finding a partner when you're living in Manhattan? But I don't know, it just doesn't. Feels like it doesn't cross your mind.
C
It has not crossed my mind. The other day a friend of mine was like, are you like, are you seeing anybody? And I was like, I've never cared less about dating in my entire life. I literally don't. And I just. Moving back to New York and being on the road, like, I will just meet so many more people. Like in LA last year I had to be so much more intentional about dating. I mean, I hired a matchmaker and a dating coach and I did dating apps. I had to do a lot to meet people here. I just don't think you have to do as much in New York. You go out, people approach you.
B
It's crazy. Yeah. And the tour.
C
And the tour.
B
If you're fucking on that tour, someone who's hopefully not on the payroll, but we'll See?
C
Yeah, we'll see. So it didn't occur. I have no romantic goals this year. I also have no weight loss goals for the year. I just, you know, I just want to exercise as much as I did last year, which is not at all.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I just wanted. Yeah, I. I really stepped it up with some strength training in 2025, leading up to the wedding. And just as a woman in her 40s, like, it's important to lift weights and stuff. So I feel like I did that in 2025. I just want to, like, keep it moving. But it's been a minute since I've lifted a weight.
C
You look great.
B
We'll get back into it.
C
But bone density is very important as you get older, as my gynecologist told me. Oh, I'm going to get. I'm gonna change my IUD so I can stop doing my period.
B
That's my last. These are great goals. It's a lot, but I think you can do these all, especially the ones that are, like, ski. One time I pick up a tennis racket.
C
I set them low last year. I said, I think I can do this goal. My goal last year, just enjoy my. My main goals are just do the tour. Remember to enjoy it. Have fun. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm nervous. I'm excited. I can't wait. And move out of this city.
B
Okay. Rainagreenberg.com everybody. Okay. I have some micro goals as well. I'll just run through those, figure out all my credit card perks. And I want to start doing, like, points hacking. And I really feel like I'm missing.
C
Out, and I hate that.
B
That feeling. Okay. So I really want to. I feel like I'm not using perks. I could be.
C
You say that to me all the time. And you're right.
B
Yeah. And, like, I don't see Tori Dunlap and Brian Kelly, and I'm like, I gotta figure this out.
C
I mean, I see the lists of stuff. Also we have status on Delta that also gets us perks.
B
Right. And, like, I have a great credit card. We've great credit cards. Like, I have my Chase Preferred, whatever the.
C
The top level.
B
We have a platinum amex. Yeah. So it's just like, I want to make sure I'm taking advantage of all this.
C
Okay. Okay. Well, let me know what you find out. Okay.
B
Yeah, I'll do it for both of us. I'm really going to work on my hair health and the breakage.
C
Yeah.
B
I just feel like I already do so much But I'm really noticing a lot of breakage. I'm really going to focus on my environmental factors. So I have silk pillowcases on the way. I need to really step up my hair SPF and some do some things. Okay, let's.
C
Your hair looks amazing. It's getting better.
B
But I'm noticing a lot of breakage.
C
But overall it is longer.
B
No, it is growing. It's just breaking. And I'm doing so much, but I could still do more. And I feel like the. What I do in my nighttime routine, the silk pillowcases maybe even might get a bonnet. It. It really is going to change the game for me. Okay, so it's two years from now. It's over for you. Okay. Less screen time. I always say this. I said it last year. It's just you can be doing other productive stuff than being on your phone. Even if it's just reading a book, taking a walk, writing. Like I said this last year, if you're on your phone five hours a day, it's two and a half months of the year.
C
That's crazy.
B
It's sickening when you think about it. And I'd be on my phone more than five and I'm not going to tell you guys my screen time, but it makes me sick.
C
It is less than it was. I mean, it's significantly less than it ever was.
B
Yeah, I hope so. Okay. More food adventures in LA before I may or may not move away, but I just didn't. I want to really do a lot more. Like every weekend that I'm here, I want to venture out and hit my list because it is the best food city in the world and I'll die on that hill in the country.
C
I think it's amazing. And I will write you lists on lists, on lists. I will plan trips for you to Laguna, to Silver Lake, literally everywhere.
B
Even just. I haven't explored enough of K Town. Like, stuff like that, you know, I.
C
Would love to be on that journey with you and I will really help.
B
Okay. Macro goals.
C
Okay.
B
Which sounds like some nutrition, but it's not. Okay. These are my big goals.
C
Macros.
B
These are my macros. Okay. Special release. So my special will be out this year. I am so sorry to keep blue balling you guys, but I promise you will know soon. Yeah, it'll be worth the wait. I'm just so excited, so proud of it. We're. We have pretty much a 99% final cut and it's really. It's wonderful. I am so proud of it. I'M not trying to. I don't know. I wanna be humble about it, but it's really. I always just wanna say it's special, but it is a special. But I can't wait for you guys to see it.
C
It's amazing.
B
So. And I'll do promo around that. So that'll be some professional stuff. Work on our book.
C
Oh, that was on my list and I forgot.
B
You did forget it. So we gotta work on it.
C
I did write it. But we do wanna write a book and it's important and it's in the works.
B
And yeah, I want to travel more for pleasure. I really didn't get to do that much last year. So we are going to take our honeymoon. We are going to go to Asia. Tbd. We're working some things out now. I've never been to Asia, so. You have been, but I've never been. So just stay tuned, watch the space for where we're going to go and you guys can follow along, but just more like traveling. Just some stuff I want to do. I want to be able to be spontaneous. Like if I could get decent enough hookups for the Super Bowl. Hookup? Hookups. There's no hookups. Prices on tickets and accommodations. I might go to the Super Bowl. Like, I want to be able to do that because I'm not touring and tied down by that. And then I can't even believe I'm saying this because I've said it so many years and it hasn't happened. And I just. This is a safe space where I can tell you guys this and you won't shame me, but I want to buy a home this year and I. It could be the year.
C
Okay, where are you thinking you might buy a home, Ashley?
B
Here's what it is. I do not want to rent again. I feel like I am at that point where the next move, if it is to New York, if it is to New Jersey or Brooklyn, which I was in New York, but wherever it is, I've been looking to buy, I'll just say it. I don't want to rent again. I just don't. I feel like I'm ready for the forever home or the at least five plus year home. Like, I look around at our house and all the things that we have and think about what that move is going to be. And I just feel like it cannot be into another house that's rented. And so I'm excited about the thought of that.
C
Well, we'll buy a house in the Hamptons together.
B
But, you know, again, that's one of those things. If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. And we like to be fluid and flexible, and we're not big on, like, resolutions. These are more goals that we want to accomplish this year.
C
I love your goals. Your goals are enjoying a lot more of your shit. Food adventures and travel. Like, yeah, it is. I'm excited to, like, help you plan that kind of stuff too. It's just. I feel like I've gotten away from it a little bit too. Like, LA is just. I think it's the best food scene in the country. There's so many different pockets of, like, Tha Town and Koreatown and Boyle Heights for Mexican food. I mean, you could eat your way around the world in LA and it's. It'll be the best food you've ever had. Your life. There's so much you can do. And I used to commit to, like, a day in a neighborhood all the time, and I kind of got away from doing that. It is really, like, fun to do that, like, be a tourist in your city.
B
I've never had a bad meal here. And if we leave here, I will miss it every day.
C
Yeah, we will complain continuously about it.
B
I will never shut the up about the food in la. Truly. It's just. Just second to none. Never had a bad meal. Never had. You know, I had one mediocre meal at Chiconi's. I'll say it, it was fine. It was fine. It was fine. Like, it was good.
C
Yeah.
B
That was the worst. I hate to say this. This is a really. But Chicones is good. And that was the worst meal I've had here. That's what I'm saying. How good the food is here. I agree.
C
Every meal we have here, the staff is so nice. Everywhere you go, the weather's nice. The restaurants are big. You can get into places anywhere you want. Catch me in New York. I'll be like, I. I know I will move. And I don't see this slipping late. Like, you and I are so bonded. Me, you, and Shashank. And I'm not. I'm not doing anything without you. Like, we'll figure it out, but, like, I will move back to New York and complain continuously about the food. I love the food scene, but you can't get in anywhere.
B
The vibes are great. I was. I saw someone say, the food is better in la, but the vibes and the restaurants and the scenes are better in New York. I mean, I. There is no restaurant in LA that you go have dinner at 10 o' clock. And then it turns up. Like, I've been in places in LA and I'm like, so when's it gonna turn up? And my friends that have lived here longer than me, that's not a. We're not turning up. It's not about to turn up.
C
I mean, I feel like 8:30, we're just done.
B
Yeah.
C
Restaurants here. And I like. You know, I live near Abbot Kinney in Venice, and I walk down the street at night and I want it to be, like, crawling with people, and it's just like, not.
B
Yeah.
C
And that's what I really miss is like, like, energy. And, you know, I'm 40, I'm not planning on having children. I'm single. Like, the crop of people that has left in New York City at this age are people that are like you and I, that have chosen to maybe not have children, that, you know, live a more fluid lifestyle, that have, like, not moved out to other cities. Like, that's. That's our people. And that's what I'm excited to, like.
B
Yeah.
C
Be out past 9:00pm yeah.
B
Like, I will always make a 10:00pm dinner res in New York. I would never do it here. You. You're showing up, they're shutting down.
C
That's not a thing.
B
Like, I guess they exist, but 10pm dinner? No, that is so New York. And I. I missed that. That's one of the reasons I wanted to move to New York, because I was like, I can't go to dinner at 10pm on a Tuesday in Atlanta. You just can't.
C
No.
B
I'm sure someone will be like, well, I did. I'm gonna. Okay, I hear you. It's just, you know what I mean?
C
I guess.
B
Yeah. You know what I mean?
C
A lot of people cleared out of LA last year also. You know, we started the year really rocky. I mean, so many people lost so much with the fires and that Donald Trump immediately became the president. And I mean, the first couple weeks of the year last year, like, I was picking you up to go record, and we would just cry the whole way to the recording. I mean, it was just unbelievably tough. And of course, you know, my heart goes out. Our hearts go out to anybody that's affected by either of those things really negatively, Donald Trump or the LA fires. It was just. It was a rough start to the year, and I do think LA kind of cleared out a little bit, and it did change the vibes here. And we've just had a lot of friends move away this year also. We just Used to have a much bigger circle of friends.
B
Yeah, I mean, it just kind of things ebb and flow in these cities. New York will always be New York, LA will always be LA. New York York felt pretty bleak for a period of time after Covid and a lot of people left and then they came back and LA will feel the same and I'll just, you know, I'll love the city forever. And I have like a. Whatever. I'm not going to do this now. If we move, I will be like, really have such a love letter to la. I just love it so much. Yeah, me too. Anyway, when I'm leaving in 2025, my regrets. And the gift bags. You.
C
When I saw that picture and your carousel.
B
I posted a carousel today as we recorded. And the gift bags. And every one of the comments, all the girls gonna eat. Listeners are like, not the gift bags. Oh my God, the gift bags. And you said, leave the gift bags in 2025. And I was like, she's right.
C
You also come get them.
B
So come get them then. What are we gonna do? Burn them?
C
We'll leave them outside. Erewhon.
B
Somebody will take them Azul candles. We'll hide them around the city. Listen, that could be a cute idea. Okay, so, yeah, those are, those are our goals.
C
And I'm excited for this year. I'm excited for you to go on more vacations and just, you know, be a leisure, have a leisurely life.
B
Influencer.
C
Yeah, listen, and you really have been doing it like I'm. You really. You've really been doing. I like the stuff you've been posting. I think you're like, kind of entering a different. A different realm.
B
I'm ranting.
C
You are. And I think that's really funny. I think it really suits you. I just think you're really sharp and funny. You've hot takes. I'm excited to see that journey.
B
Well, thanks. I was like, what am I gonna do? Like, what am I like, what, what, what do I do? What do I want to put out there on Social? And I just have been inspired by the likes of Diddy and Caroline Levitt and who isn't? So I've just been doing these rants and I really enjoy them. And so, yeah, ashes on Instagram.
C
Really funny.
B
Well, thanks.
C
Well, I'm excited for this year. And the Honestly, it's you tour starts January 29th in Tampa. I have 20 city stops planned. I'm adding second and third shows in some of these cities and I'm gonna add probably 10 more cities. Pittsburgh, I Did not forget about you. It's the most important city, of course. I'm just trying to line it up with a couple of other cities. So I will announce more cities, I promise. And maybe we'll do, like, an international show. Maybe we'll get to London. But I promise I hear you, and I'm just so excited. This hour is just like, it's sex and dating, and it's funny and it's wild and it's crazy. And I hope you guys will come and bring your friends, bring your partners, bring your mom, whoever. Maybe you'll see Ashley a little bit on the tour. But I can't wait to kick this off. And it is just gonna be like a real, real new experience for me. And real wild ride.

I love white is sort of, listen, white is great but I'm looking to do a little more color, a little more leather and like the new year. And so I like this Jaron J A R O N leather recliner extended sofa. I like these like, puffy leather. So sofas, maybe. I'm just. I'm liking more of, like, a masculine design.
B
Juicy. Kendall Jenner's, like, ski house. Yes. Like, yeah, it's just like, there's no white about it. It's out stunning.
C

A
Hi. That was such an enthusiastic intro. You're really good at that.
C
Let's go for that. We knew you were pretty good.
A
I'm going to steal your technique.
C
Oh, my gosh.
A
Next time.
C
No, take it. I'd be honored if you took anything from me.
A
All right, great. That was good.
B
Oh, yeah. Just shout her out when you do it on the podcast.
A
Okay, will do.
B
We're so happy to have you.
A
Thanks for having me.
B
I will tell you, I've been on my Peloton journey since COVID and I sometimes, like, I go down to my bike and I'm like, what am I going to do today? But when I do a Cody class, it's like, I needed that. Like, I need to work hard and laugh.
A
Yes.
B
And when I first started taking your classes, I was like, raina, this guy's insane. Like, truly the, like, resistance is insane. Like, no one else is doing this.
A
Oh, you meant the workout. I thought you meant, like, me as a person. Both.
C
Both. You're resistant.
A
You're like, I don't think I'm that hard.
C
You are.
B
It's a good. It's good.
A
I guess it's like, also relative. Like, I'm a big bitch. I always say this like, I'm six two, 215 pounds. A lot of muscle.
C
Fat ass.
A
Those who aren't watching this, the video. Hot.
C
I like the mustache.
A
Thank you. Oh, the mustache.
C
Am I attractive?
A
What was my point?
B
I am.
A
Wouldn't be the first one. Oh. My point is that I'm a big bitch. And so, like, the numbers that I'm doing, maybe two.
C
You're right. I should give myself grace.
A
A petite lady might not be. Might not be as easy. So I get it, you know? So my relativity to the numbers are not.
B
No, I love it. And I was like, I feel like I can't go back to an instructor that will remain nameless. Oh, yeah, yeah.
A
Don't name names.
B
No, of course not.
A
Don't pit me against my colleagues.
B
No, we love. We love them all.
C
Yeah.
A
No, you don't. But that's okay.
C
It's just. I'm with Ashley. Like, when I block people.
A
I don't believe in blocking. I don't.
C
No, no.
B
But can they not be in my filter? You know what I mean?
A
Well, that. That, you know. No comment. That's where the mute feature comes in. You gotta mute.
C
I know. Cause you don't wanna let people know that they bothered you that much.
A
Exactly.
B
You're talking about on Peloton.
A
No, I know. And I'm only gonn compare it to, like. Cause I was just. Me and Ren were just talking about this, and I think it was, like, a headline like Queer Eyes over. And then it was showing that some of them weren't following each other. Not to stir the pod.
C
Oh, the Queer Eyes guy.
A
The Queer Eye cast.
B
That's crazy.
A
Some of them were not, like, following each other after the last season. So I'm just like, why would you start that drama if you didn't like your castmate that much? Just press mute.
C
But it gets picked up. All the reality TV stars, they also.
A
Want the drama.
B
Yes. You're making a statement. Where was it? Didn't Justin Bieber unfollow Haley or something?
A
Oh, my God.
B
But he was like, that's Instagram. Like, they're out there.
A
That's the mother and his child.
C
He re followed.
A
I would hope so.
C
But reality people do it to tune in. So you just, like, tune into the next season to see, like, Jonathan Van Ness, like, fight with people?
B
No, but that's not what the show's about.
A
They're not gonna fight. They're not gonna fight on camera.
B
They're supposed to be best friends. I'm, like, upset about this.
A
Love and positivity. That's why it's A little contradictory to the brand, but, you know, they're fine. All. All five, six of them are fine.
C
Do you. Okay, so tell us about drama at Peloton. Like, who do you follow?
A
I cannot. I follow everyone, actually. There was one instructor that was, like. I guess I hadn't seen it, and then, like, just time went by and, like, I didn't follow back, and I was like, wait, I wasn't following you.
C
By the way. This is not, like, a gotcha thing. We love Peloton and everybody there, so.
A
We don't need to listen. I'm media trained enough that you're not gonna get me.
C
Okay.
B
Okay.
A
You know, I'm not gonna talk shit about it.
B
I know. Okay. But speaking of being media trained, I feel like you get away with stuff that maybe other instructors don't. They just aren't like you. But do you have a pass to say stuff that other people don't?
A
Oh, a pass.
B
Like, at Peloton, like, sexier stuff?
A
No, you know, I just. I know where the line is, and I get so, so close to it. But it's also about just delivery.
B
Yeah.
A
I also. I like, believe in, like, self deprecation. So if I'm gonna make fun of something, like, it's probably about. I'm probably in that. Like, when I call people hoes, like, I am also a hoe. So it takes one to know one. So I believe in that. It's just, like, delivery.
B
But it's so spicy.
A
It is. I don't know. There's just stuff that I get away with that I don't know. It's all about delivery. And I don't know if. And it's not other people's brands. Yeah. I haven't gotten in trouble. And maybe I just, like, have become so well known for it that, like, now I put my foot on the gas, knowing that, like, they're not gonna fire me. Like, I just wanna see how much I can toe the line.
B
Yeah.
C
You know, and that's what people are there for.
A
Exactly.
C
Exactly.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, even the word bitch. Like, I call people bitch all the time. But, like, amongst my friends, that's a term of endearment. Like, that's what I call, like, my best friends.
C
But you talk about, like, sexy stuff. And if I heard, like, Alex Toussaint, like, bust out something sexy, like, what's happening up here?
B
Slide off the seat.
A
Yeah, but I talk about, like, to turn on. It's to make fun of or to encourage those who are writing to be a slut 100% here at Casa della Rigsby, I believe in, you know, sexual liberation.
C
Okay.
B
You know, and you are in a relationship now.
A
I am.
B
You're posting?
A
Yeah.
B
Can we hear a little bit about it?
C
Oh, wow. Our audience really wanted to know.
A
Is that what they wanted to know?
C
And also, we want to know.
A
You know, I don't even talk about it on my podcast, so it's like, I. I don't know, maybe you. Are either of you in a relationship?
C
She's married.
A
You're just married.
C
I'm in these streets.
A
You're in these streets. You know, I don't like to share too much out of respect for the other person. Totally.
C
Okay, then I have a question. We don't have to talk about him.
A
Specific question.
C
How long were you single before you got into this relationship?
A
It's a little complicated. At least, like, a year. But I had, like, dated somebody for a while, so. But they weren't my boyfriend. Does that make sense? Like, I was dating somebody that broke off, and it was, like, two months in between those two people.
C
Does it make sense?
B
Yes.
C
Every guy date, we weren't really friends.
B
Yeah, but.
A
But I was, like, coming out of the dating, I was like, okay, I really just need to, like, put my foot on being single. And then, of course, this person, like, popped up, and there was chemistry, and we just couldn't stop hanging out with each other, so it just kind of worked, you know? And he's hot, so, you know, like, you wanna post about em when they're hot, when they're not hot. You don't.
B
But you would never.
A
No. No. Well, we've all, like, slept with an ugly guy that we don't want anybody to know about.
B
Raina. We were in a dressing room in New York at Rent the Runway, and Raina starts talking about this guy. And I don't know how the picture came about. It was.
C
I think I just had sex with him that night. It was all. I was all hungover. I, like, rolled into the Rent the.
B
Runway that night was the ugliest person I've ever seen. I was like, Reina, the dressing room attendants. Like, I stayed friends with that one. She was like, I never forgot that one.
A
Okay. But was the dick.
B
Yes.
C
And he was big. See?
A
And that's the. And when a guy has a big dicker, you can get away with a lot. You can be mid ugly.
B
That's where Vindic energy came from.
A
Exactly.
C
He was also tall. Like, I tried to hug you. I can't get that high. I can't barely see that tall.
A
I always forget how much women love height in a man. This is. I mean, my current boyfriend is my height.
B
Current boyfriend. I'm obsessed.
A
Yeah.
B
You know, it's like a whole thing.
A
What?
C
Like saying that, it implies it's like, not the last boyfriend.
A
Oh, is it? No, I meant. I was just meant to say.
B
No, I say current husband. It's a whole thing.
A
Oh, really? Okay. I just meant it in relation to the last one. Cause I dated a shorty and I didn't really. I don't really discriminate against that. Like, it doesn't matter to me. But like, I do like having someone my height. Especially when kissing.
C
But also, listen, I mean, it is crazy for me. Cause I'm five feet tall. That I want, like, a big man.
B
You're not the only one.
C
You're too. It makes sense. You want, like, a big person. But I like what I like, and I'm just gonna continue to like it.
A
And I'm proud of you for the friendship that you have. That you would show her the ugly person that you hooked up with. Cause there are.
C
I thought you were gonna say, a shame.
A
I'm not telling nobody. It's not even a shame. It's just like, look, it happened. But I don't need to be showing you. I don't need you to have ammunition against me.
C
You know, I actually, like, typically outkick my coverage. This is really. It's not often that I'm like, this guy was not cute, but he was cute to me, and that's. Which is all that matters. But I gave an ugly guy a chance and he treated me terribly.
B
That's the thing.
A
That's like, I've had an ugly guy treatment.
B
The Shreking. That was like the Shreking of this year. You might have talked about it on the bike.
A
We talked a little bit. I know I talked about it with re.
B
People were saying, like, people are trying to date ugly people so they'll treat them better. When they treat you badly, they. Your whole world comes crashing down.
A
Not only did you date someone ugly, they treated you like unreal. And they had an average dick. Wow. Just really missing here.
C
This guy was broke and unattractive.
A
Oh, my God. And broke.
B
I didn't know this. I'm just not finding out.
A
He was. You're not loving yourself. We need to. We need to unpack this in therapy.
C
I do. I love myself too much scene. How much I. I think everything. Nothing's ever my fault. I love myself. It's.
B
I love you. Can't Love bomb Ravena. Because she's like, that's true. That's.
A
Of course you're in love with me.
C
You fell in love with me after two dates. It makes total sense to me.
A
Okay, okay. All right. There's a lot to unpack there while.
B
We'Re in the questions from our audience.
C
Oh, yeah. Okay.
B
A lot of the same stuff came up. So people really want to know about the Disney tattoo.
A
Oh, I've had it for a long time. Originally, it kind of was just like. It was like the second tattoo I got.
C
Okay.
B
And it's a Mickey Mouse outline.
A
It's a Mickey Mouse outline. And it's just, like, a reminder to be youthful and fun and not take life so seriously. But then I also became such a massive fan of Walt Disney World afterwards. Cause I go to the parks probably like, once a year.
C
You're a Disney World.
B
You're a Disney adult.
A
You know what? I used to deny this, but now I'm just accepting it, because everybody that digs on a Disney adult has never gone as an adult with their own money, eating and drinking whatever they want. No kids with their friends. You're lit, you're turned up, and you're going on Guardians of the Galaxy fucked up. All right. And there's nothing more fun than that. Okay.
B
I want to go back and do, like, the countries.
A
Yeah. And drink Epcot is so much fun.
B
I'm an Epcot slut.
A
Yeah, you should be, you know, when.
C
You'Re a little kid.
B
Yeah, but I love that part of it.
A
She was actually underage drinking at Epcot when she was a child.
C
As a five year old. Yeah. Have you been to Disneyland?
A
I haven't been to Disneyland since I was 8 years old, but I've been to Disney World.
B
Where'd you grow up?
A
Born in la, but grew up in North Carolina.
C
Okay. I thought you were from the South.
A
Okay.
C
But Disneyland, I didn't know. Okay. Yeah. A lot of people asked about your tattoos.
A
People really wanted to know. And just if you do go to Epcot, just know that, like, every drink needs to be a double because it's all just, like, full of sugar.
B
Okay. That's fair.
A
You know what I'm saying? And those drinks are not strong, but I don't even.
B
I'm, like, kind of out on just, like, cocktails in general. Like, can we just roll up somewhere and be like, can we have tequila?
A
I agree.
B
Yeah, that's my drink of choice. And, like, you're gonna have wine in France.
A
I love wine. I do love wine.
B
Okay.
A
Especially because I went to Napa recently with my new boyfriend.
B
I. I went to Napa too.
A
I was like, I love the little, like, I love the tastings and they're. And I'm, like, trying to pick up on, like, how to, like, feel bougie with the wine. And I. I enjoyed it.
C
I loved it.
B
I loved it. We went on a little mini moon, and like, my husband is not a wine guy. And even he was sipping on a buttery chard.
A
Yeah. Oh.
B
I was like, go off.
A
No, you lost me there, baby. I hate chardonnay. I hate chardonnay. That's the one I don't touch but love you for. Okay, next question. Sorry I keep distracting you.
C
No, I want to talk about food and wine, actually, for a second.
A
Okay, great. My favorite topic.
C
Okay, great. Because, I mean, your body is so sick and amazing, and you rolled in.
A
Here with lunchables mama.
C
Which you rolled in with fancy lunchables.
A
It was a prepackaged boar's head charcuterie. Not sponsored. It was salami and I think, like, a white cheddar.
C
Okay, but are you. Cause, like, you work out for a living. Do you have, like, a strict diet? Where do you like to go out to eat? Both questions, please listen.
A
If you watch my classes or watch my social content, I love to talk about food. So food is just for enjoyment. And I never deprive myself of that. I kind of believe in seasonality. Right now is not a season to be watching what I eat to depriving of myself. I'll probably kick. Be a little bit more restrictive and focused going into the new year as we are, so that the summer body is made in. In the winter. The winter, no. And like, you just gotta be a little bit. If you want to. I don't wanna say you have to be. If you want a specific aesthetic, you gotta just be a little bit more restrictive. But I love food. I love to go out to eat. I love Cheetos and cinnamon rolls and ice cream.
C
I like the message that you can do both.
A
You can do both. It's also, like, what is your goal? Like, if you just wanna be strong and feel healthy and all that sort of stuff. Yes, you need food that fuels you, but you also want something. Something that tastes good and you can enjoy. Like, life is meant to enjoy. I also want to preface that, like, a lot of the people not to get serious. This seems like they're getting very serious. The people that we, I guess, look up to, or some of the, like, very, like, crazy bodies. And I Mean crazy in, like, I guess, a good way. Whatever. Like, most of those people are doing something autozempic. Ozempic, heavily restricted, whatever. Like, some of these people that you like look on Instagram, you're like, oh, my God, they look so good. You're like, they're not telling you the whole story.
B
I think it's good to remember.
A
Yes.
B
You know, I think we grew up in, like, supermodel era, and we had no idea. There was no idea.
C
Airbrushing.
B
Like, we had no idea that what was going on. We were like, I guess that's a normal way we could look and you just can't.
A
No.
B
They were forcing a certain, like, Christina Aguilera dirty video. I was like, I'm never eating again. Like, I was in college. Like, what am I doing with my life?
A
Yep, exactly.
C
Full stomach, low rise jeans.
B
Okay. Have you ever slept with someone who came for a class? Like, have you been looking out in the crowd and you're like, I fucking.
C
Are you allowed to say that?
A
Oh, oh, you mean, like, not to? No, no. Once in a while there'll be like, a hot husband and I'm like, work, that's hot. But, like, there's never, like, a gay. There's never, like a gay in the audience that's like. Yeah. I don't know. There's one guy I went on a date with a long time ago that came to my class and I was like, okay, that's weird.
B
I mean, I met my husband at a show. He came to our show. Like, I was wonder if you have, like.
A
You're asking, do I fuck fan?
B
Except for the fan.
A
Is that what you're saying? Yeah, basically, maybe, like, not knowing it. Yeah. Do you know what I'm saying?
B
Yeah, 100%.
A
There's definitely been, like, times on Fire Island.
B
Totally.
A
I feel like, oh, I've taken. Oh, actually, there was one guy I had sex with on the beach in Fire island, and he's like, my mom loves you. And I was like, well, tell her we had sex, you know, and he did, so.
B
That's a nerve. Wrong.
A
It worked.
C
I feel like you're so well known to be, like, hard not to fuck fans.
A
Oh, wow. You know, I don't know. Maybe. I don't know.
C
Okay, well, can we talk about your.
B
Story a little bit?
A
Sure.
B
So you wrote this book and it has a lot of your life's journey in it. And we were telling you before we recorded, you're just an inspirational person.
A
Thank you.
B
Just if you wanna give us kind of like, the short story of like, kind of how you grew up and how you ended up to where you are now.
A
Well, let me put the book title out there. Xoxo An Opinionated Homosexual's Guide to Self Love, Relationship and Tactful Pettiness is the full title of the book. If you would like to purchase it. Go off a Shameless plug. And then I always think of this. Like, I'm weirdly enough, a Marvel fan. I love Marvel movies. So I think of this as my origin movie. Is what you're asking me. Like, the first movie? Yeah, listen, I grew up in. Well, I was born in la. Me and my mom, single parent, moved across the country with our, like, three dogs and cats in an old Chrysler to North Carolina, where I moved when I was 8. I lived in North Carolina from 8 to 22. After I finished college, I got a degree in essentially fashion merchandising. I moved to New York City to work for, like, a startup streetwear brand. But, like, at the time, the streetwear brand was also owned by a choreographer. So I kind of studied under her, learning how to dance while doing that job. Then I started dancing professionally for about five years. I kind of got to a place where I was like, ugh, this is. I'm tired of being poor. I'm tired of, like, glorifying other people. So I was like. I shouted out, I said, God, Madonna, Allah, Buddha, someone, like, answer my prayers and find me a new path. And then six months later, when I was working at the Box here in New York City, the lower side.
B
Yeah.
C
What are you doing with us?
A
So I was not in the show. I essentially was front of the house. And you know how they have a burlesque show there? I had to stop patrons from taking photos of the topless women and the very salacious acts that were happening there.
C
The double sided dildo show.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
B
You should lock phones up.
A
Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. It was before they had those pouches, you know?
B
Yeah.
A
You know the pouches I'm talking about when you go to the show. Yep. So I just stopped people from taking pictures. And then the choreographer of that show knew I was a dancer and he had a connection, someone he went to college with, worked at Peloton, and was like, hey, do you know any performer? And so he sent me the email. I sent my headshot and resume, went in for an interview, got the job, started training. 10 years later, here we are. Almost 11, actually. 11.
C
I feel like I have so many questions.
A
11 years later. And then, like, yeah, I was like, you know, peloton was really great because I kind of was a fish out of water. I didn't know what I was doing, and I had to figure it out. But it also gave me a lot of purpose. I really feel like my purpose is bringing more people into. To the fitness space by taking away the. I feel like the biggest barrier to entry when it comes to fitness is fear. People are afraid. They don't know what they're doing. They're gonna look stupid. People are gonna make fun of them. And I'm like, listen, sweetie, sit on the bike. I'm gonna be a little clown. I'm gonna make fun of myself. I'm gonna say stupid shit and make this not as serious and deep as it needs to be. And you're gonna feel comfortable creating a fitness routine. So it really allowed me to find my purpose, you know?
B
Is it true that you never taught.
C
A spin class, like, cycling at all?
A
Nope.
C
And you just were like, I'm gonna fake it till I make it. I just knew I'm gonna kill this.
A
It was a lot of faking until you make it. I also just was, like, very. I mean, timing is, like, just so important in life, and luckily for me, I just was at the right place at the right time. As much as I, like, have worked hard for what I have, I think that success is, like, luck plus hard work. Work. And I was like that too. Yeah. I mean, it's just true. Like, you can be very talented, but if the right opportunity doesn't come, you're not going to get the success. Also the same thing. If you. If the right opportunity comes and you're not prepared and you're not ready for it, it's going to pass you by.
C
I'm glad that you said that. And I think it's important to acknowledge that some of it is luck. Do you listen to the show How I Built this?
A
I've seen a few. Few episodes. Yeah.
C
He interviews, like, big founders and people that have built a lot of stuff, and he ends every episode with, like, how much was luck and how much was hard work.
A
Oh, really?
C
So I think it's important to, like, acknowledge both.
A
No, I think a lot of. But it was just luck. But I'd built the skills as a dancer and just someone who lives in New York to find who I was. But I think my point was I got in at a very early stage, so I had a lot of room to figure it out, to mimic other people, to absorb things, to try something and let it fail and reapply it. And I think that. I think I started in 2014 or 15.
C
Yeah.
A
So I have, like, for five years before the pandemic, and I was able to, like, really figure out who I was. And it was like, oh, humor, being silly, being dumb. Like, that's what people are resonating with. And then once the pandemic hit, it was like people were hooked.
B
Yeah.
C
That's when I found you.
A
Yeah.
C
Yeah. I mean, I never worked out before the pandemic. I remember I had. I bought a Nordic track bike.
A
Oh.
C
And I was sorry to beginning.
A
What are we doing?
B
People couldn't.
A
I know, I know.
C
Remember? And so I bought this Nordic track because I was like, I want to cycle. And I would put you on my television, and I would watch you.
A
See, you made it work.
C
I would watch you and do. But now I have a peloton. But, yeah, I made it work for the time being. But it sounds like you also. Did you kind of, like, stumble into dancing, too? Like, you were not, like, a lifelong dancer, and at 22, you started.
A
No, I always loved dancing. Like, I would watch, like, TRL, like, Britney and NSync, and that would be like, my day after school in middle school. So that's where I had this affinity for dance. And I would just, like, learn it from the tv. And we were just. It was just me and my mom, and she was. We were broke. Broke, broke, broke, broke. And I always wanted to take dance classes, but it just wasn't in the budget. So once I got to college, I found out about Broadway Dance Center's internship program. So I came here. I came here in New York City for the summer between freshman year and sophomore year, and just, like, took a bunch of dance classes. And that kind of got me on the path of, like, learning that industry.
B
So you said that peloton was looking for performers. Like, the way they find instructors, is it kind of like half fitness, half, like, performer type people, or is it just.
A
Yeah, I mean, it's definitely, like, shifted. It's definitely shifted to more of, like, a fitness first kind of thing.
B
I like that.
A
No, of course personality's important. Listen, there's a lot of. I'll even say this about myself. I'm not the best trainer in the world. I'm not the most knowledgeable. I'm just the funniest. Like, you know, and, like, that's okay. Like, I know that. But there's a lot of my. But there's a lot of my colleagues who all are, like, so knowledgeable, know their shit, like, and they're fantastic. So it's kind of this. I don't know, it's kind of like, what do you want? Do you want someone that's entertaining or do you want someone that, like, do you want someone who's more entertaining or more. Knows their stuff or more inspirational or whatever? It's kinda like you get to pick what your fantasy is. Like, my favorite instructor at Peloton is Olivia Motto. Cause, like, the workout's great, she doesn't talk that much and like, her music hits, you know, Like, I would never want to take my class. I'd be like, can you shut the fuck up, please?
C
But it's like, but you're an entertainer.
B
You need something different everywhere.
A
I just want someone to tell me what to do. I don't need the entertainment. So I would literally hate my class.
B
Who are you close with? And we know you love everybody and.
C
Follow, but like, who are your besties at Palatine?
A
I mean, Tunde's definitely up there. I know you guys haven't had her on the show. We love Tunde.
C
We love her.
A
The thing about Toonday is, like, I don't know, there's a little bit of. I feel like a little bit of a dad with her. And there's a sense of pride because I specifically like, sought her out, casted her, like, auditioned her, re auditioned her, advocated for her when, like, people were saying that she wasn't a right fit for the job. Like, there's a whole journey there. So to see her success, I feel very proud of that and I'm proud to be a part of it. So there's that. But she's also just like a fun. She's so special, a fun girl. She's like, I know, but y' all don't know the silly and like, crazy.
B
Part of Tunde and do like. I can tell.
A
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. No, she's a fun girl. Sometimes I like, I don't know if she's like a little bit more guarded with that. But, like, she's so fun and silly and like, we would probably get in trouble if our text messages leaked, but I can't even.
C
I shudder to things.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I would much rather have my nudes leaked than that.
C
Okay, that's not even full spread eagle. Yeah, I'm a cavity, Sir.
B
Here's my 42 year old pussy.
A
There we go.
B
See what I'm taking. Telling Raina what I'm ranting.
A
Yeah, yeah. So we're Very close. It's interesting to see like the journey. I've known a lot of instructors for a really long time, over a decade. But our lives have become so different that like, we just don't cross paths as much as we used to, if that makes sense.
B
Especially people are parents. Yeah. I mean their lives are different.
A
I think also some of my favorite persons is Jen Sherman, who's you know, the first peloton instructor. She's also like the very first. The very first. And she's almost like a mom to me. Like I'm not gonna age drop her right now. Cause maybe she'd slap me in the face. But she's always just someone that I've like leaned on and talked to about life in general. And even I hadn't talked to her in probably like six months, like on the phone. We usually have catch ups and I just had a catch up with her like two weeks ago. So that was very nice. And just filling her in on life. Of course she also, like your listeners wanted to know about new boyfriend.
C
People wanted to know.
A
Everybody wants to know. Everyone wants to know. Why is everyone so into like love? You know what I'm saying?
B
People are obsessed because it's the most.
C
Relatable thing you could ever do.
A
I know, but my boyfriend saying the same thing. Like we were walking to a date and he goes, God, everybody's obsessed with love. And I was like, what do you mean? He was like, the minute I had dinner with a friend, the first thing they asked was like, oh, so you're dating? And blah, blah, blah, blah. I'm like, yeah, I don't know. And I'm not someone who gushes and neither is he. Where it's like, oh my God, yes. I don't know. I keep it a little bit closer to my chest.
C
It's the thing we all relate to. It's the thing that everybody's a touchpoint for and advice and aspire to have.
B
Yeah. I mean it's. We joke about this all the time. It's like I'll never accomplish something that will give me the type of praise and engagement as my wedding. You know, like filmed a comedy special like that'll. It won't even come close.
C
Well, you know, I've been meaning to tell you this. I was gonna tell you nothing, but I. I launched a tour. This is gonna be a couple weeks ago at this point, but I launched a tour yesterday.
B
It.
C
The post will never get the type of engagement that my outfits from Ashley's wedding post. God, it's so next we do an announcement.
A
You need to make sure stand next.
C
To Ashley to wedding.
A
Just, like, move it a little bit closer to the wedding. Let it be about you. To be honest, you should have made her wedding about your tour.
B
Well, no, she headlined the wedding.
C
She officiated.
B
She did a whole set.
A
So it was about her.
B
It was about her.
A
Yeah. Thank God.
C
But this post that I'm talking about, it was like a roundup of me and Ashley and her husband. And, like, it has 40,000 likes. My tour poster 15, 20.
B
There's gotta be more comments on the tour poster.
C
Same amount of comments right now.
A
Wait, okay. Is this your first. First marriage?
B
Yeah.
A
Okay, great.
C
Hopefully last.
A
And when did you get married?
B
On November 1st.
A
Oh, so very recently. I love that. And you waited till 42. Love that.
B
Geriatric Bride.
A
No, that's a pregnancy. You know, all my. All my girlfriends that have gotten pregnant have been past, like, 33 or something. And that's a geriatric pregnancy.
B
No, but I do a whole bit. Like, it's Geriatric Bride. Like, I.
A
But, like, you lived your life.
B
That's what I'm saying. It's pregnant.
A
I wouldn't have any other people our age. They're already on their second marriage. Do you know what I'm saying? You got all the frogs out of the way and you found your prince.
B
Yeah, 100%. I wouldn't have it any other way. We built this thriving career. Like, I know who I am.
A
I would agree. I would agree. Word of advice. My mom always said don't get married or have kids before 30. And here I am at 38.
C
So do you wanna get married?
A
Marriage? Yes, I wanna get married. That's important to me. But there's no rush. I hate this. The straights, unfortunately. Sorry.
B
Tell us what.
A
We have this obsession with being married to a point where it's more about the day and the Instagram post than it is actually about the love and the relationship and the building of it. Like, people get so obsessed with making the day perfect, and I'm like, let it be imperfect, you know? Let it have its own little intricacies and stories and all this sort of stuff. And let it be more about the celebration of the relationship than it is, like, the day. So that's my take.
B
I mean, people rushing to the altar with the wrong person just to get married. Do you know you have to spend forever?
A
Forever.
B
Every day, Every day. Like, I love my husband so much. I love being around him, but I'm like, we are really together. All the time.
A
Yeah.
B
What if someone is annoying? Most people are.
A
No, most of the people are. And your partner is going to annoy the fuck out of you at certain point that you're like, they're just around all the time.
B
And then I go downstairs at the podcast. They are.
A
I mean, wait, what is my boyfriend ask me? I was like. He's like, are you sick of me yet? Like, when he does something annoying, I'm like, you're getting close. You're getting close.
C
Like, I'm single, and sometimes I really have these moments where I'm like, do.
B
I really want to.
C
Want to be in a relationship? No one bothers me, ever. I would like to have.
A
So you're an avoidant. You know, attachment theory.
C
Oh, yeah, please.
A
Okay.
C
I was telling the other day, I think everybody that's dated me has experienced in me differently. I think some people really. Okay, that's fair. As pretty avoidant. And I think there's some people that experience me as being very, like, anxiously attached.
A
Okay.
C
I think that we show up as different people in every relationship. I think we're reacting to the other person.
A
I would agree.
C
What are you.
A
I'm definitely anxious, but, like, the guy I dated before, the guy I'm dating now, I was definitely more avoidant where, like, certain things would get on my nerves. I was starting to feel, like, anxiety about, like, getting close to them, like, whereas, like, most of my other relationships, I'm the one, like, chasing, you know?
C
But I think that's comforting to hear. I think that, like, when you meet the person that makes you feel at home at, like, a level of just comfort, like, that's your person. The person that doesn't spike those levels.
A
Yes. And.
C
Okay.
A
I think it's built more so on the work that you've done on yourself.
C
Sure.
A
Like, you've got to figure out your own traumas and know how to regulate yourself because. Wow, we're getting deep, aren't we? I always. I always, like, I prescribe to this thing that's, like, the relationship that you have with your partner is going to be the one that parallels the relationship that you've had with your parents. A lot of how you move through relationships is built on the foundation of how your parents raised you and what they did and did not give you. I always feel like the trauma that we get from our parents is not our fault, but it is our responsibility to take care of so that we're not putting it into the next relationship or kids, if you have them, whatever that is.
C
Yeah, we Said that on this podcast. Your trauma is not your fault, but it's your responsibility.
A
It's your responsibility. Figure it out. Like, stop. Stop holding onto it.
B
Well, so you grew up with a single mom, and it sounds like it was just the two of you. I'm sure she worked really hard to give you all she could and all that kind of stuff. Yes.
A
And she also, like, dealt with addiction, so there was kind of times in my life as a kid where I felt like she wasn't doing her best, if that makes sense. So I had to, like, heal from that and, like, process it and let it go. And now we're in a, like, great place. I love. I moved my mom here in 2019.
B
Oh, she's here?
A
Yeah. She lives, like, four blocks away from me.
B
Okay.
A
And we have a lot of fun now. You know, I feel like I let a lot of that go. Go. We went on, like, a. A holiday date to a Christmas bar recently and, like, got her ass drunk and took her shopping, and it was so much fun.
B
That's so fun.
A
No, it was so fun.
C
I think this is inspiring. And we talked about being estranged from family members a couple weeks ago, and I think it's inspiring to know that life is long and you can repair relationships.
A
Yeah, yeah. It's. It's all. It's all what you want. Like, if you don't want those people in your life, you also can not.
C
Want them in your life.
B
That's what we said.
A
But for me, I was like, I love my mom regardless of the ups and downs. Downs. And I know that my time with her is limited. So do I want to, like, feel resentment, or do I want to, like, let that go and enjoy what I have left of her presence on this earth?
B
You know, I love that message. Okay. You said something that stuck out to me. You said that you're usually chasing people, which I cannot picture. You seem like. I don't know. Your vibe is very. Like, people have to work for it with you.
A
No, no, no, no.
C
I mean.
B
That a compliment. No, no.
A
But I don't think, like, you don't. You don't have to, like. I don't think you have to work for it with me.
B
It really says the compliment. People say it about me.
A
Do they? Do you have to work for it with you?
B
Yeah. Like, people say, like, to. To be close to me, you gotta work for it a little bit. I don't give it all.
A
Oh, see, I think I'm the. I am the opposite, really.
B
Okay.
A
I think when I am really into somebody, I think that anxious attachment comes. And so, like, the chasing comes with, like, if I feel any sort of distance, then I'm like, trying to repair that very quickly. But I think whether it's friendships or relationships, I give someone the trust or like a clean slate from the jump. And then, like, if you do things bad, then that's starting to, like, weigh on me. But no, I don't love, like, games with friendship or.
B
It's not even games. It's not playing hard to get. You just seem a little hard to get, like, by nature. Like, you just. I don't. What. Do you know what I'm saying?
C
Cause I'm the opposite. I'm not hard to get. And I have struggled with that, like, letting people in a little too quickly. And I've had to, like, actively be like, like, let's take a beat.
A
Yeah, definitely take a beat.
C
Let's interview this person a little bit before we give them the keys to the kingdom for sure.
A
You know, I would agree.
C
And I think she's talking about, like, with friendships as like a partner. She's really. I mean, as a friend. You're also really warm and wonderful. But I think you. You've always said that.
B
I just don't give it all away. I'm not withholding on purpose.
A
You make people earn it.
B
I'm not even trying to. I just think it takes a minute for me to really warm up. I guess I'm not so warm immediately. Reyna is and she's like, more physically affectionate and she just of.
C
Kind.
B
Kind of.
C
I'm always all over everybody.
A
I love that. Like being affectionate. Even with friends. I feel like we don't do it enough.
B
I do it a lot. You do it a lot. I will look over. She's hanging on somebody.
C
Could be.
A
I think it's great.
B
It is great.
A
Like, I don't know. I love to, like, hug up on my friends.
C
Yes. But I think I've just. It hasn't been like a pervasive problem in my life, but I have let people in a little sooner than maybe other people would. And I'm like, you know, you're just learning lessons all the time.
A
Always learning lessons.
C
There's a whiteboard about everybody and we're just putting information up on the board.
A
Yep, yep, yep.
B
Okay.
A
So by the way, I'm obsessed with both of your nails.
C
Thank you. Thank you for saying that to her.
B
Thank you.
A
Why is she not feeling it?
B
I had some regret.
A
Yeah, you had some regret. I like this gold.
B
Thank you. That means the world.
A
Perfect for the holidays. Great for New Year's.
B
Thank you so much. You know, because I've. It's been a journey, you know.
A
Has it? I. I don't know how you guys promise for me. I love getting a manicure. Well, actually, no, I don't love getting a manicure, but I feel like I need them all the time because I bite my. My nails. But I hadn't gotten one for, like, six months. And even just the hour of a normal ass, like, manicure, pedicure was, like, too much for me, so I don't know how y' all do it with the gel and the things and the. It's a lot.
B
My girl comes to my house for two years now. Even that, like, we're friends and I'm not doing other stuff. But if I have to, I'm in the home, you know, at least I'm cutting out the travel time.
A
Although that might be worth the premium of having someone come to the house.
B
Yeah. And it's not even that much. I mean.
A
Great.
B
You know?
A
Noted. Okay. I need to find someone that comes to the house.
B
So we're. I mean, Juliet and I, like, I've been with her longer than my husband.
A
But you don't get the chance that, like, massages you.
C
No, I got a person that massages me.
A
Okay, Pop off.
C
I get, like, a foot massage.
A
Pop off.
C
I just. I love it.
A
Wait, what were we even talking about? I distracted you with the nails.
B
Sorry.
C
No, no. So this is our first episode of the new year, and we asked our listeners what their resolutions were.
A
Oh, right.
C
And we said, be funny or be serious. Whatever you want, either way. And we divided them up funny and more serious. And we thought we would just get your takes.
A
Okay, great.
B
People love your advice.
A
Okay, great.
C
Can I tell you guys what came up over and over and over again in terms of this is, guys, that actually did not come up.
A
That didn't come up.
C
Okay, I want to moisturize more. I want to use lotion more.
A
Then, bitch, buy some lotion and put it on.
C
This came up a lot.
B
Just.
A
That's not to be fair, I guess, for these people. How often do you do, like, a full shower, though, where you're putting on lotion? Every day.
B
Do you put on lotion every day? I have to put on lotion after every day. I have dry skin.
C
Yep.
B
You don't.
A
No, no, no. And my skin has been feeling a little bit dry, but sometimes at the end of the night where I'm like. I'm Gonna take the shower. Like, the extra step of the lotion. I'm just like, ugh. I don't want to because body's so tall, but. I know, but my knees be getting ashy, so I can't be having that. My knees be the ashy and I just, like, gotta get the elbow.
C
I need to do my elbow.
A
But, like, all you have to do is just get the moisture.
C
I have a lotion.
A
I do have a tip.
C
I have a tip for it.
A
Oh, please.
C
So get like, a cool lotion dispenser. Like, they have, like, pretty ones on Amazon. And so you can, like, feel like a fun thing. Like, I have this, like, spinny thing on my counter. It has all my lotions in it. And, like, it's just. It's a fun little thing for me at the end of the day.
A
Oh, See, mine would be like, find the one that you like. I think the body lotion I have is from Costa, Brazil. And it smells like, I don't know.
B
Like Palo Santo, the Brazilian bum bum cream.
A
Oh, that one's good, too.
B
But that's so good.
A
That one I used to use a lot, but I don't use that one anymore. But this one smells.
B
Do you have a bad memory about it? No, no, no, no, no. I kind of just. Okay. It's very potent.
A
No, no, no. I've been to Brazil nine times. Ten times. I've been many, many times.
C
Did you go for New Year's?
A
I have a lot before, but now I started to go for Carnaval, which I'm going for in February. But the smell of that is so specifically Brazil. So, like, I love the smell of it. The only thing I didn't like about that cream was it felt a little sticky after applying it. So I didn't love it. That was my thing. But I love the smell of it.
B
The smell is so, so good. I use necessaire and I use the unscented and I have it on my auto shipment.
C
Oh, yeah.
A
I don't trust auto shipment because, like, how do you know. How do you know when it's.
B
They know when I'm out for literal shit. It's hard.
A
I don't like having a stockpile of things. I have a.
B
It hits right when I need it.
A
I don't have enough storage in my apartment.
C
That's true.
B
Right.
A
So that when it's taking up things.
B
Have you talked about this?
A
No. What?
B
I'm having, like, a deja vu moment about you. Have you talked with this on the bus?
A
Maybe. I probably Have, I don't know, because.
B
I'm like, I remember like a fun, funny take about Newarks that you can't do out of your shipment.
A
You can't do it. Like I, I can't do it because if it comes too frequently, I haven't used it.
C
I don't want to stockpilot it even for pills. Okay, so when.
A
Are you taking so many pills?
C
I'm on blood control, blood pressure, not the blood control. But they should know when I'm out of it. And they're always sending it like 50.
A
Don't worry, don't worry. AI Amazon. The robots are gonna need know when you're out of the way to make it more efficient. It's coming. Don't worry.
C
Okay. I want to move on to something. These, this came up back to back. One person said, I want a trianal and someone else said, I want to try do less anal. How much anal are you doing?
A
So they're going to meet, they're going to meet in the middle.
B
Reina, you need to respond back, do less anal, girl.
A
Okay, let's approach. Do more anal. I'm doing a lot of analysis because that's how I have sex. Okay. But anybody that's doing more anal, I need you to research how to clean out. Okay.
C
Okay.
A
That's just real.
B
Just a Google. Okay.
A
Just. I don't know. Yeah, Google, you know, because you wanna make sure that you're fresh down there.
C
Totally. Okay, Clean that bomb.
A
Have lube. I suggest silicone lube. Yeah, I don't love water based lube.
B
Gets absorbed too fast.
A
It's just not.
B
It's.
A
It's sticky, actually. It's. Water based lube is much more sticky.
B
Silicone is great for the butt.
A
I would agree. Yeah, I would agree. For the person that wants to do less.
C
Angel, like, how much are you doing?
A
How?
B
I'm gonna find out.
C
Just do less.
B
Let me respond back in the question box.
A
Maybe they're not trying to get pregnant or something. Maybe that's the problem.
B
You're gonna die. So we had our show Saturday night and we go around, ask people the best part of their year and just to keep the spirits up. And she said, I did anal for the first time. We were like, woo. And she was like, but I have never had regular sex and this is just like saving herself. And we were like, so you're still like a virgin in the puss?
A
What in the what in the. Like Mormon technicality.
B
Exactly. That's what we had.
C
We asked, are you Mormon?
B
Was she, she Just was religious girl. She said she's saving herself.
A
You mean to tell me that, like, God was like, well, you know, you put it in your butt, so it's. It's. You're actually still a virgin.
C
Also, no oral. She said. She. I was like, you started with anal?
B
And we were like, why? And she was like, I just really liked him. We're like, no, no, no.
A
This guy. This guy that she's dating was just like, how can I trick this bitch into fucking her? And she's not gonna suck my dick. She's waiting till marriage. I'm gonna go for the anal option. Okay.
B
Insane. Like, did they meet at church?
A
Probably.
B
Okay. Cody, People wanna be more petty.
C
Oh, yeah. Be meaner came up a lot.
A
Be meaner.
C
More petty. Be meaner came up.
B
But we wanna talk about being petty because you have a podcast.
A
It's Tactful Pettiness with my friend Andrew Chappelle.
B
And you really have the perfect line of pettiness, I think, in what I. The content that I've seen and that your classes.
A
Thank you. Thank you.
B
My whole thing is don't start no shit. Won't be no shit. Like, I would agree, go after people, but if you come at me, you.
C
Will not like what happened.
A
I'm just forcing.
B
So is that kind of your mantra?
A
Yeah, I mean, one of my favorite tactfully petty things was that girl on Facebook. Some man wrote a racist comment on her Facebook post. This hoe drove three hours to confront this man. She prepared him apology to read on off camera. So he had to read it off camera. And she said, if you don't read this, I'm going to show your wife the Grindr profile that I found of you.
C
Wow.
A
When I tell you that that man read that apology with quickness and hard heart and sincerity.
C
With heart.
A
He did. He did. That's what I'm saying.
B
But how do you. Did she still talk about the Grindr? How do you know this?
A
It's all on TikTok. It's all on the Internet. You can find it on the Internet. That is tactful pettiness.
B
Exactly. I mean, but it's worth it. Like, I would never drive three hours. What else are you doing? This is a story for your life.
A
Yeah. That is worth driving three hours for.
B
Just revenge.
A
Absolutely.
C
Do you have any other tips about pettiness?
B
Yeah.
A
You have to know thyself. You know, you have to know thyself and be confident with thyself. Cause if someone tries to, like, come for you, you gotta know how to. You have to. Even if the read is true, even if the thing that they're saying is true, you have to be able to own that so it doesn't get to you. You know what I'm saying?
C
I have been using ChatGPT to run some stuff through it. This morning, I ran something through it. I was responding to this guy. I like, went scorched earth on this text message. Even ChatGPT was like, oh, maybe reel it in. But the advice.
A
You said, that's a little too petty, babe.
C
It said, I'm glad you asked me first.
A
I'm glad you asked me first.
C
Hey, girl. I mean, it also said, like, you know, just reel it in. Like, you don't need to, like, re. Litigate the situation with somebody. Like, take your power back by doing a little bit less here.
A
Yeah.
C
I mean, you could go score shirts with people. And I think that's fun.
A
Sometimes I think it needs to. It needs to be subtle and cunty. Do you know what I'm saying?
C
I was not subtle.
A
You also don't want the other person to know that they got to you.
B
Well, that's the thing. And also pick your battles. I mean, it's just. I don't know. You seem so beloved. I don't know if you have a lot of haters. I mean, so rarely do I respond to something or do something, but when I do it, it's worth it. But I can't. I can't. I have to let stuff roll off my back. I can't go through life.
C
Yeah, but you're talking about strangers. Like, when somebody does something to you, you're a straight shooter.
B
Yeah.
C
You will respond quickly. You are honest. You're never trying to.
A
Okay, like, point in case. Like, someone in. Someone wrote on a post recently was like, I just took your class and the playlist was horrible. Do better with the. Like, you need to play better music. I said. And I literally clapped back, sort of. And I said, ma', am, you can click View Playlist to see if you like the song before you click the playlist. So if you don't like the playlist, then go choose another class.
C
100,000 other classes.
B
Yes. And also, just this enrages me because musical taste is subjective.
A
Exactly.
B
I mean, you have bad taste.
A
Sure. Yes. Sometimes once in a while. I don't put my full pussy into a playlist, and therefore it's not like, my best. And sometimes it's rushed, but I know.
B
Wait, was that one of them, though?
A
I don't know. I didn't go back to that.
B
Because you know when sometimes you're like, you're right.
A
I'm not. I'm not that invested to go then search for the class and look. Cause they did put the date, but I was just like, I don't have enough time, so I'm gonna be.
C
But this sounds like her fault. Like I said, the one time where I'm like this, she could read the playlist. This was her fault.
B
Can you imagine not viewing a playlist?
C
That's the only reason I take the classes.
B
Yeah.
C
That's crazy. Okay. I have one that none of us are going to relate to. But somebody's goal was to talk less.
B
Why are they getting in trouble at school?
C
Sometimes, you know, I get, you know, remember when I quit drinking for that, like two months, I was like, I'm. I'd just be saying too much stuff.
A
There are people though, that talk and they're not funny or it's not intentional and like, nobody actually wants to hear them. So if you don't think you're actually funny, then maybe you should stop talking a bit. Like, I would agree with that. You know? You know, you know what? We'll. We'll stop them, go and have a conversation and just secretly record voice. Record yourself and then go listen to that. Because nobody likes listening to their voice from the first time.
C
Yeah.
A
Do you know what I'm saying? We're so used to it. Cuz, like, you're creating content. You had to get over that. Like, oh, I sound like that.
B
Yeah.
A
If they want to talk less, record themselves and listen and they'll be like, I hate my voice. And so therefore they'll be self conscious.
B
I love this.
A
You know.
B
Baptism by fire.
A
Yep.
C
I thought you were going to say yourself, cuz you'll realize like, nothing you say is interesting.
A
That too.
B
Yeah. Start a podcast. Start a solo podcast.
A
Podcast. Figure it out, babe.
B
You could do a solo. We talk about this a lot. It's such an art form that we could never do. And it's like we have so much respect for people who do it. Cause it's hard to carry.
A
I could see you doing it because.
B
You talk to the.
C
Yeah, well, he does that at Peloton.
A
Listen. I could do it. I don't want to.
B
Exactly.
A
Also with Peloton, like, I'm giving directions.
C
There's an audience.
A
There's an audience and there's music to play off of and talk about. So I am good at that. But yeah.
C
Okay.
B
I don't know why someone would write this, but oh, stop. Sorry. I thought it said start. Stop pooping in front of my partner.
A
Stop.
B
But the other one says, be able to fart freely in front of my partner.
C
I just aired a lot of these together.
A
Okay, okay, okay. Those are two good. Okay. I'm sorry, but I'm not taking a. In front of.
C
Shut the door.
A
I'm not doing that. I. I'm. That's not happening. Like, we need a separation. We need. We need a separation of church and state in that situation. Like, I don't want to.
C
I don't want it.
A
Yeah, that's losing too much of the magic here. Let's just. Let's close the door, babe.
C
I can't. The smells, the sounds.
A
Smells, the sounds.
C
I don't do any of that stuff in front of anybody. It's not for me.
B
The face you make.
C
Poop face.
B
No divorce.
A
Maybe this people, like, maybe someone took the leap and started pooping in front of the other, and now it's become commonplace. You guys need to have a new year, new me conversation. Hey, babe. I think to maybe, like, bring back some of the magic or, like, just, you know, a little bit. We've been spending a lot of time together. Let's take a step back on the pooping in front of each other. I love you, but, like, let's just do a little bit of whimsy, you know? Just bring back a little bit of whimsy.
B
Yeah.
A
Now the farting thing.
C
Do you fart in front of your partner?
A
Not yet.
C
But you have with other partners?
A
Yes.
C
Cause it's funny. Yeah. Yeah.
A
But, like, at some point, you just gotta do it because it's gonna happen. I still haven't done. In front of your husband.
B
I mean, not audibly. I'd be crop dustin'.
A
Maybe it's different with two boys. A little bit. There's a little bit of stupidity there.
C
I've lived with three different men. No one's ever heard me fart. One time. One boyfriend swore he smelled like.
B
I've ever heard you fart.
C
I don't do that. I don't do that in front of other people.
A
That is. I just, like. That would just be a life of too much dishonest discomfort.
C
I'm not. I'm doing it. I'm just like.
B
I know, I know.
A
But, like, even having to, like, get up and go to the b.
C
Just bury it.
A
Take the leap of faith and just have a good giggle about it. If you want to start farting in front of them, just, like, you got to do it and have A giggle about it.
B
Yeah.
A
And hopefully they'll do it first.
B
You know, hey, babe, Start farting in front of each other.
A
Just set them up, bringing it up. It just has to happen naturally.
B
You're. No, you're right. Okay. So be more of a baddie than I already am. People ask all the time. I know this. This is like, a broad question, but how can I be more confident? How can I feel better? Like, do you have any tips, small ways to just, like.
A
I mean, not to be that girl, but, like, fitness is a good path to that.
B
Totally.
A
I think that, like, when you start to create a fitness routine like you do still, you start to feel strong. You start to feel confident. You might like the way you look in the mirror. Like, it does kind of build this relationship with self. I just think relationship with self. Either therapy, maybe meditation. Like, get to know yourself so that nobody can take that power away from you.
C
That's great.
A
Also, stop caring so much about what people think. People think they're not worried about you, babe. As much as we think we are the main character in, like this. The. The game that is life. Like, we. We. Nobody cares.
C
And mute and unfollow people on social media that make you feel bad. We say this all the time. If. If looking at somebody just makes your levels spike, you don't have to follow them. You can mute unknown.
A
You can definitely unfollow them, especially if they're not your. Your castmate. That's a call back. That's a call back to the previous conversation.
B
Got it.
A
Okay.
C
Got it.
B
Sorry.
A
Can't wait for when you guys unfollow each other.
C
That. That would be crazy.
A
It would.
B
That would spice things up.
A
Maybe for the drama.
C
Yeah, for the drama.
A
Just for the drama.
B
I like that idea.
A
So someone needs to do it, and then, like, no, month from now. Wait a minute. Did you unfollow me?
C
And somebody will be like, we always knew they hated each other.
A
Live on the podcast. Do it in person on your next tour stop.
C
It would make me so sad to unfollow you.
B
Oh, my God.
C
Wouldn't it, like, hurt your feelings?
B
I can't even picture it.
A
Oh, okay.
B
But if it gets us some press.
A
That's sentimental. Yeah. Anything for the. Anything for the press.
B
Well, I love that you even said. I mean, again, like, peloton is just. Especially this year. There's been times where I, like, cannot function of everything happening in the world. And I remember posting early in the year, like, is anyone else doing something, like, really aggressively? Because for me, I'm like, I'm going so hard. I have so much rage to get out of my body. And my scores were so high, they were through the roof. And I did a question box, and everyone was doing something the same way, whatever it was, whether it was fitness or some hobby.
A
And I just was the opposite. So kudos on you. I kind of went to, like, a shutdown where everything felt really overwhelming, and I just didn't know where to put my energy. But that's really good.
B
I mean, I have to do that too, and you obviously have to rest and stuff, but it was just like, I feel like rage in my body. I have to get out. And it's like sometimes I just need to. You know.
A
I'm proud of you for that because I've been told I don't know how to show, like, anger. I'm not to going good at expressing anger.
B
Did you feel like you couldn't do it as a kid?
A
Maybe, but I've just never been an angry person. But I think, like, having those outlets are good.
C
Yeah, but you are doing something, like, great in the world. You allow people to do that at your class, and you just bring a lot of joy in everything you do. And if people are Peloton fans or not, we really encourage them to take your classes because they're just so fun and funny and spicy and different. I love that.
B
You don't have to have a bike, just watch them.
A
Yeah, you don't have to watch. You can just watch.
C
Even if you have a Nordic Track.
B
There you go.
C
Put it on to you.
A
Put it on there. Put it on your iPad.
C
You know, do you get a lot.
B
Of messages like, you changed my life and.
A
Yeah, and they're always, like, sweet and intense.
B
Totally. I just. I feel like, is there ever a point where you're like, I can't believe.
A
Oh, yeah, yeah.
B
I can't believe I get to do this.
A
I think sometimes I also have a hard time. Like, a hard time actually realizing the impact.
B
Feeling the gravity of it.
A
Yeah, feeling the gravity of it. I think there's a protector in me that is afraid of losing those things. So if I accept it or bring it in close, then the fear of losing it becomes more real. Does that make sense?
B
We'll work on that in the next therapy session.
A
Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Ending on a deep note.
B
