This week on the Snack, heated rivalry. Ashley Tisdale's toxic mom group, and so many TV and movie reviews.
B
This is a dear media production.
A
Enjoy.
B
Do you know how hard it is for me to not start with heated rivalry? It's all I care. It's all I care about.
A
No. Hi. No. Hello.
B
Hi, guys. I've been masturbating to gay porn for days. I haven't left the house. Oh, my God. I don't think I've had this many orgasms in my life. Okay, I cannot.
A
You gotta keep it in your pants for the first half of this.
B
It's been out of my pants for.
A
Days, so you gotta keep it in your sweatpants. Are you dressed to eat today? Is that what you're doing?
B
I'm in a crop top. I'm the opposite of dressed to eat.
A
Well, we're eat after this.
B
Yeah, but you're like, no, this is not my eating outfit. We're eating.
A
Are we eating out today?
B
Yeah, I just want to be cute and comfy.
A
No, you look more prepared to eat than I do in the sword pants.
B
You look prepared to eat.
A
And now I'm rethinking my jeans because we're about to go eat down. Literally.
B
You could change. I just stopped at the house.
A
Anyway, we're going out with Emily after this.
B
Well, you said that your New Year's resolutions go on more food adventures. And our friend, Emily Fedner, food lovers diary, she's in town. And I was like, who better to take us on a food adventure than Emily?
A
Yeah, but you asked me, do you want to do Thai or Korean? And I was like, I could do either. And then we landed on Thai. And then Emily posted last night that she's been to Thai town in four days in a row. And I'm like, she's going for a fifth.
B
I said, we don't have to do this. And she was like, it's fine. And I was like, are you sure? And she was like, yeah, I'm happy with it. I was like, okay, sure. It's my favorite Thai town.
A
Okay. It's the only, like, Thai town in the country. Is it designated Thai town because, like.
B
There is like, a K town, Korea town, New York, and all these other places, obviously Chinatown, Little Tokyo.
A
But I was looking this up.
B
I think it is the only one.
A
Yeah, you did your research anyway. I know. Here we go. My resolutions era.
B
Well, we have so much TV and movie content to cover. I mean, no one's left the house in weeks.
A
Yeah, we did it. We committed.
B
We have Consumed all of the television. I got.
A
We got to the end.
B
I got to the end to the point that I was watching stuff twice. And like, even my rewatches, I'm done with. So I started the bear last night.
A
I'm so happy. Remind me what you've seen.
B
I just watched season one.
A
You did watch season one. Okay, let's thank our partners. Okay.
B
Thank you to skims Shop our favorite.
A
Bras and underwear@skims.com and thank you to Just Thrive. Get 20% off at Just Thrive Health with promo code GGE. Okay, we are going to kick it off with a Marty supreme report. Get your orange out.
B
I hear Nikki in my head, Nikki Glaser at the Golden Globes going, Chloe.
A
Oh, that's not really on our list. But that is Sunday. Oh, yeah. So we can't wait for the Golden Globes. But we are going to kick it off with the Marty Supreme Report. We did see it. That will be the last part of the report. Our reviews. But before that, let's talk about Timothy Chalamet at the Critics Choice Awards.
B
I mean, I really didn't watch it. Cause Chelsea Handler was hosting and I don't like to look at her face. But you guys know, the real ones know it's not the build of her face. Her face is fine.
A
That's not a dig at her face.
B
It's that it's a dig at her personality.
A
She started it. She started it.
B
She started it. And I'm continuing it. So I only watched clips, but Timothee Chalamet got up on stage. He won best actor and thank you. My partner of three years. And I was like, who is his business? I thought his business partner. I was like, surely he's not talking about Kylie. I didn't realize it.
A
Okay, first of all, who is saying the years like it? Was that just like. Is that a little pick me to say the years like, or did he know it would cause a stir? Like, why would you say the length of time? That was an interesting choice. I thought unless he knew. No one knows. It's been three years and about to shake shit up. Okay.
B
But then I look back at the timeline of their relationship and they were at the Beyonce.
A
I was just going to say this.
B
In September of 2023, which is two and a half years ago. And they were first spotted like six months before that in January 2023. I mean, this is well documented.
A
I. It broke my brain. I was like, hold on. So they've been together longer than one? Me and my husband. Yeah, Two Travis and Taylor. And then, yes. I had the same thought. I was like, okay, let's run it back to the Renaissance tour. We were there. It was September 4, 2023. It was Beyonce's birthday show, and they were there in the same show as us. And it came out later. They were PDA ing. I think that we were clocking it in 2023, but we didn't think it was gonna last.
B
So we weren't, like.
A
We didn't take it seriously. Like, yeah, I thought it was. I've always thought they'd been cute, but we were like, no way.
B
I think it's just my brain won't accept that this was, like, a thing. It's like watching a giraffe drive a car. Like, I just. I don't. I'm trying to think of, like, something I just can't envision happening. Like, really?
A
You still feel like that?
B
Yes. I look at this, and I can't. I. I know I've seen it with my own eyes. I just don't get. He's aging backwards. He, like, shaved. He looked, like, extra young at the Critic Shores Awards. He looked like he was 18. It's. My mind can't compute it. She's like this really womanly, curvy mother of two. Like, I. And there's just this child next to her.
A
Okay. I mean, this is how I felt in 2023, but I've, like, fully into it now. Really. You know, it's like, once you start to really realize how much swag he has, how big is it? That dick he's slanging? Is that a thing or. You just got him the energy. Yeah, it just makes sense to me. I. I have fully embraced them as a couple, but I think in 2023, we were like, oh, come on. So. But yeah, you're. You're right. But I did not think January 2023. I was like, oh, my gosh. I think we all had a record Screech moment.
B
Everybody. I thought when he said partner, I 100% got into my head. I thought, he. My business partner.
A
You think he's just. Literally was like, watch this. Everyone's gonna freak out about that. Like, everyone at the same collective thought, what are you saying? You guys been together six months.
B
I'm glad everybody. The same collective thought. It makes me feel so good when I'm just part of the mainstream.
A
When he goes, now watch his drive. Do you know that George Bush clip? But he's like, yes. Shashank has been doing this a lot. So there's this clip of George Bush and he's on the golf course and he's talking about very serious topics, war, whatever. And then he goes, now watch this drive. And he just goes and hits the ball. So Shashank has been doing it at.
B
Everything, you know, like, I like to know, like, what he's been walking around saying around the house. If he does not start walking around saying, I'm coming to the cottage, so I'll be so upset. All right, I'll tell you what he said.
A
And I'm not going to deep dive fully today, but the other day he said, I'm kicking you out of Montauk.
B
Because he's been watching.
A
He's been in that Mormon Wives. I mean, I just. I just really have not to brag. I have the most perfect partner of three years.
B
I like the fact that we can.
A
Watch Mormon Wives and heated rivalry together.
B
I don't know. I don't know a lot of men that would watch.
A
I want to talk about this. Straight men watching.
B
I just want him to walk around going, will you come to the cottage with me this morning? Instead he's like. Instead, he's like, I don't know if.
A
We can have you and mom talk anym. Okay, so that is the first part of our Marty Supreme Report. The second part is that Meg Stalter and Paul Downs of Hacks dressed up like Kylie and Timothee Chalamet. Their.
B
Like it was Halloween.
A
Their orange outfit that they wore in December. They both were orange. It was dumb and dumber core. There were so many memes about it. And they recreated the look exactly. Even down to the poses, even down.
B
To the paddle that he wore. Like the purse. I mean, it was just. It's. You don't really see that unless it's like. I mean, people will recreate looks from the red carpet 15, 20 years ago or on Halloween. People will do this.
A
This is the most brilliant thing I've ever seen. Like, Meg Stalter just dominates a red carpet look. No matter. She's always doing a bit and she commits to the bit. And if I'm ever famous enough to be on these red carpets, I would do this. This is so funny. Trolling slash tribute. Like, I don't know whoever was like the most hot at the moment. Like, I love that it was just weeks prior and I wrote was reading something from the stylist. They did this in like two weeks. The stylist said, I heard about this idea on Christmas Eve. Yeah.
B
I mean, the outfits were.
A
I know. We're just like, it really took a minute to be like, they had to pull this together quick.
B
When I think of, like, iconic couples outfits, the first thing that comes to.
A
Mind is Brady and Justin Denim. Yes. Yeah. I mean, that is somewhat disappointed that recently I thought. But this was incredible. Like, also, he's winning the award that night.
B
I know.
A
Unbelievable. And they're so funny. And he's one of the creators of Hacks. Paul Downs.
B
He's in Hacks and he's in it.
A
But they're like a team. And hacks, they're like, you know, they're like a management team, but he's one of the creators. I just. I was obsessed.
B
I'm glad we got the opportunity to talk about it, because when it was my whole feed when Kylie and Timo did this and we didn't get to talk about it.
A
And lastly, the movie.
B
We went inside on Christmas with your mom.
A
Yeah.
B
Louisa tried to invite your dad. It was a real record screech moment. I felt bad. So I gotta tell you guys this. So our friend Louisa came to Christmas this year at Ashley's family's house. And you were on your way over to the house or something, and I was having coffee with Louisa and your parents, and I was like, I checked the movie times and I asked your mom, like, is this a theater that we would go to and do you want to come with us? And your mom said, yes. Your dad was sitting next to your mom. It never would have crossed my mind to invite him. I love him. I want to be around him all the time. But, like, Louisa goes, lee, would you like to come with us? And he goes, what?
A
Literally, like, first of all, my dad likes movies. Him and my mom saw that song Sung Blue, Whatever, by the way, I wanted to give their review. They loved it. On New Year's Eve, Sing Song Blue. Song Song Blue. Something sounds great. So they loved it. So he does go to the movies. They usually go on New Year's Eve, sure.
B
I have never been in a movie.
A
Theater with my dad.
B
Okay.
A
Have you? Have.
B
Well, my parents were divorced, and my.
A
Dad actually takes you to the movies.
B
Always.
A
Never again. I don't think I've ever been. Like, I remember every Disney movie I saw. My dad was nowhere to be found.
B
I'll tell you, the last movie I saw with my dad, because it is burned into my memory, is the Wolf of Wall street. And it opens with him getting his.
A
Dick sucked in the theater.
B
And I was like, I will never see another movie with him again.
A
Were you in the theater? Home.
B
We don't watch movies at home together. I don't.
A
You went to the theater. Wall street, on the big screen with your dad, right? No, I'd have to move another row. I would have to move seats.
B
I wish I would have moved another row. The first I wanted. I went to Titanic with them too, with my brother and my dad. My brother must have been six. And I think it was the first time we ever saw boobs. And he was mesmerized. And I was just like, I also will not sit with you for movies anymore.
A
Titanic is horny too.
B
Really horny. So anyways, she invited you. It's not even just that I could.
A
All.
B
All five of us are gonna get to the car together. I'm gonna middle seat it with your mom in the back.
A
So. Hilarious. So we got there and I will say we were like a minute late. And you were panicked. I was panicked because There was not 30 minutes previous, there was 20. We had to get a Wawa sub, like, whatever. We had to go to theater. It was like 20 minutes away from my parents house. And the thought that I could have missed something and I like, won't get it back and I won't know. And like, Raina, I'm telling you, the fact that we walked in that theater and it had started. I really started to panic. I started to Google what happens at the beginning of Marty supreme. And I couldn't get service. And then the credits came on and I breathed a sigh of relief of like, we haven't missed much.
B
Okay. So we waited at Wawa for my rap for so long and I could feel the tension. And I was like, let's just go. And I like almost leapt over the counter and they finally called my number and I was like, let's go. And then it was tense.
A
It was. My mom had said, we need to leave earlier than this. And we're like, whenever. Cindy. There's 20 minutes, everybody. Gang. Yeah. And she was like, I'm gonna be chill. Anyway, we loved it until the very last scene. I don't often feel like completely engrossed and entertained for two and a half hours of anything. And I felt that way. I think the first half was stronger than the second half, but it was.
B
All over the place.
A
And I was entertained until the end.
B
I really felt entertained. This was like, I love a sports movie. Like, I love, like, failure is not an option. Win at all costs. I'm gonna give up everything, do everything to like reach this pinnacle. And that's the character. And it was so chaotic and he Just, you know, he's a different moral compass than the average person. I mean, he's just like very me centered and all he wants to do is win. And like, he'll sleep with somebody's wife, he'll steal his baby mama, he'll have an affair with somebody. That girl got sh. Shot in the car. He just dropped her off at the hospital and just left and went. And then this, all this is like a, you know, a failure is no option type movie. And it ends. So I want to say spoiler if you guys.
A
Yeah, sorry. Spoiler alert.
B
Spoiler if you haven't seen it, fast forward. Okay, I've given you enough time because that one time I ruined succession.
A
I'll never forget it. No one else will either.
B
People were mad at me. And then it ends with him in the hospital having this baby and he's like, watching his baby and he's crying and it's the sense that, like, he finally has this family that he never had before. But, like, that's not the. I hate to be all like, serious about it, but that's not the character.
A
Yeah, like, immediately I was like, what in the family building propaganda is this?
B
Yeah, that's the first thing you said to me.
A
I was like, this propaganda?
B
Did Big baby make.
A
Yes. Just like. And whatever. Yes. We're child free by choice. We don't want kids. And I can appreciate a family moment. I think it's beautiful that you would see a child that you're bringing into the world or the partner that you want to be with and reframe how you view life. But it wasn't what we'd had from him up until that point. So it felt like a complete 180. And no, I, I wouldn't say we were. I don't know. He's kind of an anti hero. You're sort of rooting for him, but not really. He's not a great guy. I didn't need that, like, about face at the end. And then I heard someone say, like, well, he was crying because he realized, like, his career was over.
B
I was like, I like that take.
A
That's not.
B
That's not the case. But I would love it if that was the kitten take.
A
Yeah, I really just.
B
I feel insulted as a viewer when you try to sell me a story that is different than the story you just sold me for two and a half hours. It's just. That's not the character. And I like that you said anti hero. I mean, I don't have a problem rooting for somebody that I don't particularly think is a good person. Mad Men and the Sopranos are my favorite shows.
A
Right.
B
Those are bad people. Objectively bad people. I don't mind that. I just. The movie should have ended to me in Japan. He didn't need like, they didn't need to make this statement.
A
Yeah. I mean, but it's like we aren't anti family. Like, I don't know, it's like it was a nice. And there was like growth, but it happened too immediate. And that's why I was like, this is propaganda. But I like that this Esquire article is explaining and debating the very divisive ending of Marty Supreme. And these two editors debate the final moments of Josh Softy's new flick, who also on Caught Jams. And I just like one quote from the. From Henry Wong at the very end, he's speaking to the other critic on what he had said prior, which you can kind of read between the lines. But he says, I like your read on Marty finally standing still, though I think that is my problem with the later stages of this film. I just wanted it to keep running and running. Also him finally caring about someone else. I don't mind growth for a character. Same. But I so enjoyed this rather unattractive creation conveyed so attractively that I thought his personality makeover at the very end was a little soppy. In the pantheon of great movie ending starring Chalamet, this was some way short of call me by your name. And he says, but for what it's worth, I think they had an alternate ending that they didn't have time to film and it was gonna like flash forward to a bunch of scenes later in his life. Anyway. It sounded horrible what they originally said they were gonna do, but that's how I felt. It just felt like a little lazy and unrealistic.
B
Yeah.
A
But I get it. I like, he cares about someone other than himself. I get it. And I can appreciate it. But maybe it's just this like, I don't know, cynical more side of me that was like, that's not who he is. And like, let's. This isn't who we've seen for the last two and a half hours.
B
Yeah, we didn't need to. We just didn't need that last scene. I also, I didn't need to like put a period on the end of that storyline of did she have the baby? Does he go back to claim the baby? I wasn't like. But what happened? Like, give me an end of the storyline of the orange ping pong balls.
A
The whole orange theme. And the balls were in the movie for five seconds and they got thrown out the window. And literally, that was the end of them.
B
That's the end of it.
A
So I will say, though, I think I always say, I. Of course I want a happy ish. I don't want to. I don't want a movie that completely ruins my life and leaves me feeling really upset. Fucking Manchester by the sea. Don't get me started. But, like, that's just sad for the sake of being sad and whatever. But I just think people need a happy ending so badly. And, like, this is such an American trait. And I've talked to you before about movies that they showed to test audiences. I think the breakup is one of them where people hated if it didn't end happily. And I think the breakup was that one where they had to. They redid the ending to have them give people hope at the end. They run into each other. The street. It didn't originally end like that. That's just, like, one example I have. But I've always heard that, like, Americans need a happy ending to like a movie. So they, like, couldn't have just ended it because people would have been like, where's the baby?
B
But, like, to me, him winning that tournament is that the movie could have just ended. 100 I wasn't like, but what about that girl? I don't care.
A
100 like, when he falls to his knees, I think right at the end, when he's beating that guy at the way that went down. And, like, you want to see the real shit? Like, end it there? I would have been like, wow.
B
Yeah, that's the end of the movie.
A
And the baby's fine.
B
You're supposed to. You think the baby's fine. You dropped it off at the hospital. It's fine. Fran Drescher is gonna go hang out with the baby.
A
But we really liked it. And it's been mixed reviews. I've seen a lot of bad reviews. I think people.
B
A lot of people thought it was very chaotic. I didn't mind it. Like, I like these kind of, like. I mean, Anora is one of my favorite movies. And that's just like a crazy chaos chase.
A
Yeah.
B
For half the movie. And it's my favorite thing.
A
Yeah. I just love watching him act. I love that character. I think that's probably not that far from who he is in real life. That just really cocky energy. It was fun to watch. That's how you get Kylie Jenner. Yeah, exactly. So that is one of the Movies that we saw, we went all the way off.
B
I went even further.
A
You did.
B
You saw three movies in, like, 10 days. I saw four.
A
Okay, that's a lot. So should we start? We should do chronological order. We did see the Housemaid the night that it came out.
B
I'm always. I always have depressed me being like, I hate to be this person. The book was better, but, like, I liked the movie. Amanda Seyfried was unbelievable. Brendan Sklenar. My lisp is acting up. Was fantastic. City Sweeney. Can we stop? Jesus Christ. I mean, can we stop casting her in everything?
A
Listen, you guys know I'm not a fan of hers, and you know her politics and just, you know who she is as a person. So this isn't that. I think she's such a bad actor, and she's such a great actor in Euphoria. And that's the lane she has. It doesn't translate. It's like. It's the tone and that. It's all. I really don't appreciate her as an actor. And this movie is so glaring because there's a lot of these parts that her and Amanda Seifert are in the same scenario. So they have, like, the same emotions and things to act out. And you watch done so differently. They're different people and they should be. They're different characters. But I. The acting, you're just like. It really, like, holds a mirror up. And I just don't find her to be a good actor. So that took away from the movie for me, but I really did like it. And I liked the book, but I didn't. The book is not the most brilliant book I've ever read either. So I didn't go into it, like, I hope they don't ruin the book for me. Yeah, it's not that deep. But they changed one thing from the book. We'll just say this and spoil. You can just fast forward ahead. But it's not. There's a part in the book where Sydney Sweeney's character is kind of being tortured. And they change something in the movie, and I don't know why they did it. And it felt so unnecessarily gory, like.
B
Really violent, and was done really well in the book. I don't know why they changed it.
A
It was felt like, weirdly, like, gratuitous. Like we were, like, shielding our eyes because of the blood. And I didn't understand it. And then that made it a little unrealistic. Like, what she was doing. You'd, like. You'd bleed out. You know, and it's in the book. It's fine. He kind of tortures her in a different way. That's more palatable.
B
Yeah.
A
So we didn't get that choice. And then the ending is kind of different, the way he dies. I don't know. It was. I enjoyed it overall. And it's like, kind of campy. Like, you laugh sometimes. Like, I read a review that said this is the perfect movie to see in a theater with, like, a bunch of people around. And, like, maybe the critic in this piece said they wouldn't have enjoyed it so much at home Alone. It was fun to see in theater.
B
I prefer most movies in a theater. Yeah, I like it. We went with like seven girlfriends or something. It was, like, really fun. Yeah, I like it. I would see it.
A
Yeah, it was fun to see it with all people who hadn't read the book, so they didn't know what the fuck was coming. And I was sitting next to Louisa and I would just hear her go, what the fuck? And I'm like, that's exactly it. When you're reading that book, you're like, what the fuck?
B
Would you rather be blissfully ignorant and not have read the book?
A
I think both are great experiences. You're just going to be so shocked no matter what you do. And so I guess I'd prefer the reading experience. But how fun for them to be like, wait, what?
B
I like going backwards a lot too. Like, I watched Tell Me Lies and then I bought the book. Yeah, I watched Heated Rivalry. Now I bought the books on back.
A
You do do this a lot.
B
Yeah, but I mean, if I really like something and I miss it, I miss Tell Me Lies, like, so deeply. I miss these characters. I'm like, I gotta get the book.
A
That's how I was with normal people. And I hated the book. I know.
B
You told me that you hated it. I read a couple chapters and then I stopped.
A
Okay, so then after that, you saw a movie at 9am Jeremy and I.
B
Went to see this movie called Rental Family. It's Brendan Fraser. He's an actor, like an aging actor in Tokyo. And he goes to work for this company that simulates emotional experiences for people. So, for example, this woman has an aging father who was once a very famous actor, and he thinks the whole world has forgotten about him. And so she hires Brendan Fraser as a writer to write her father's life story so that her father can die feeling like he meant something to the world. And it's just. It's this beautiful story about, like, what humans need Emotionally, I've never seen anything like it before. I didn't see this, like, heavily advertised, but it's just. It's beautiful. It's a great watch. If you guys even can just grab it on Amazon.
A
It's really, really cool. Oh, okay. Yeah, okay. I love that. And then we saw Is this Thing on, which is Bradley Cooper? Directed, produced. He's in it, and he's also in it. And Will Arnett and Laura Dern, and they're going through a separation. He starts doing standup comedy in New York and it's takes place at the Comedy Cellar, which we've. It's like that. It is a comedy cellar, but it's not. I don't know. As. As comics, we saw it with Britney too. We had some issues with the misrepresentation of the open mic scene anywhere, but that's fine. It's like a movie. And that's what it is. The friendly, happy, just stage time of it all in New York.
B
Yeah.
A
Ha ha. So anyway, there was some. But it's a movie, so I liked it. I thought it was a little bit slow. And if we're talking Bradley Cooper movies, it was more Silver Linings Playbook than A Star Is Born. I didn't think it was going to be A Star Is Born. I didn't think that he was going to do stand up and then turn into Dave Chappelle. I didn't expect that. But it was certainly more about the marriage than the stand up.
B
I thought there would be more stand up.
A
Yeah.
B
And it was more about the marriage, which I guess is probably more relate. You. And I want there to be more stand up.
A
Yeah.
B
But I think more people want relationships.
A
It was enjoyable.
B
Yeah.
A
It was a little slow.
B
Yeah.
A
But I wasn't like, oh, God, you.
B
Know, he just starts doing open mics at the most famous comedy club in the world and then they just pass him. I mean, it's so crazy. It's so crazy. People work their whole lives to get passed to the Comedy Cellar.
A
No, it's. It's. That part is so unrealistic. And again, this is just like us, like niche, like comic talk, like, but we were just like, oh, come on, you know, and he's laying down in the booth, the booker's there. We're like, oh, my go, God. He's. He's been on stage for four minutes in his life.
B
One time I sat at the comics table at the Comedy Cellar. People were mad. And I'd never even done a live show yet. I wasn't even Pretending to be a comedian there with friends, I stopped in to say hi to Emma Willman who had just been on our show. And I was just saying people did not like that.
A
Yeah, and it's again, it's like it's set at the Comedy Cellar, but I don't think it's. It's certainly there's parts that are not accurate, but I love that it's set there. It's so cool.
B
Yeah, it's really cool.
A
We loved Crashing, which was a more realistic and bleak depiction of stand up in New York. I mean, whatever. There's also highs. They're highs and lows. But this was, you know, it's good. You know, Bradley Cooper's character is a hot mess. He's funny. Very funny.
B
Real comedic relief.
A
Yeah, it's good.
B
So those are the movies we're watching.
A
Those are the movies. Okay, let's take a quick break and then we'll talk about the topic. Reyna, thank God. Foaming at the mouth. Foaming at the mouth.
B
All right. Skims. It's my favorite underwear. It's my favorite bras. It's my favorite pajamas. I wore the pajamas to sleep last night. I'm wearing the bra right now. So my favorite thing is the Fits Everybody T shirt bra. And I had obviously a breast reduction and I lost some weight and I needed to like, get all new bras. And like, the first thing I thought of was the Fits everybody T shirt bra. And I sleep in it every night so I find it, like really comfortable no matter what I'm doing. Like, it just feels like you're not really wearing a bra. It's the only bra I've ever gotten home and been like, I can't wait to rip this off of my body. And it comes in tons of colors. I have it in different shades of nude. I have it in brown shades, like a cocoa brown. I have it in black. And they just have so much for everybody and tons and tons of sizes. I love their cotton jersey full briefs. I walk around the house a lot in their boxers all the time. It's just such a good gift for a friend. They have stuff for kids, for your partners. Really? Anybody? The quality is great and I love sleeping in it. So lots of sizes and colors and stuff to choose from. You can shop our favorite bras and underwear@skims.com and after you place your order, be sure to let them know we sent you select podcast in the survey and be sure to select our show in the dropdown menu that follows.

Okay. Tons of other shows, you're have to take the first two.
A
Yes. So Emily in Paris, she was in Rome for the first half of the season. This might have been my favorite season so far. I really enjoyed it. You know, everyone is just like, what is up with her visa? Now she's working in Italy too. Like what is going on?
B
She's like, whatever I'm doing, I'm not coming back to America.
A
And she met this American guy which I actually really liked. He used to be on maybe one tree Hill. I recognized him, and he works for the US Embassy, so I'm. Keep him in your back pocket, girl. What is going on with. How are you still there?
B
Has to show Emily in Paris, and.
A
She'S in Italy, but I'm saying she's back in Paris. She was working in Italy. Like, what is going on with your situation? Are you there legally?
B
Does she work in fashion?
A
Was she. God damn it, Randall.
B
Oh, she works in fashion in my mind. Okay.
A
She is. She is fashion.
B
She is fashion.
A
The outfits are part of why you watch. And they changed her aesthetic when she went to Rome, which I didn't. I like her in Paris better. Her looks, compare them. Personally, I don't know. It's just a lot more. A little more buttoned up. More prints. Yeah. I don't know how to describe it. It was just different. Parisian fashion versus Italian fashion. I'm not a fashion expert. I really enjoyed this season. The TLDR for me is just, we need fresh meat for Emily. I cannot do another season with Gabrielle. I just. I like him as a friend, not as a lover. Marcello, who she was with, they broke up. Thank God. He was, like, so boring, so mid. And then Alfie, who is the hottest man on the show and the spiciest and the sexiest and the most fun he is. Now has a thing going on with Mindy, like her best friend, which I love that. So as much as I love Alfie, I want him for Mindy, and I want fresh meat for Emily. That's really my take. Stranger things. I'm not like a. We don't watch it. I watch the first season. You do. And Shashank watched the finale. And I was there, in and out of sleep. I was like. It was New Year's Day. So I did catch the end of it. And I got a little emotional from someone who's just watched the. You know. Cause Mike and 11 millie, Bobby Brown. Like, I still could appreciate the ending. And I was crying. And anyway, all these conspiracy theories that the show's not over. So everyone is saying there's more. I can see a world in which they make a movie. Why wouldn't they? It's such a successful franchise. As we record, this will be over. But people were saying something was gonna happen on the seventh, so that will have been yesterday. And the Duffer Brothers are like, we're done, you guys. This is it. And there's so many. There's like, Shashanka's in these tik tok holes of, like, what's coming next? Like, it's not really over, and she's still alive. And Mike was right. I don't know. There's all these theories. So anyway, it's just really taken over the Internet, these fan theories, and we'll see.
B
Watch the space.
A
Yeah, watch this space. Okay.
B
Literally, like, I care so much. I. This show, like, did something to me, and I actually, like, it turned me on. I. I sort of avoided the show. Not everybody's just like, it's this gay hockey show. And I kind of was like, I don't care about this. Okay.
A
Can I say, we had so many people in our DMs telling us to watch this, and I trust you guys. Like, I wasn't avoiding it. I. I was just like, I'm gonna watch it because I really trust you guys, and you know us and you know what we like. And I don't think I've ever gotten more dms and, like, when the. Are you girls gonna watch this? Yes. Yes.
B
The most.
A
We did.
B
So it's six episodes. It's based on a book series, and it is about these two guys who meet their rookie season, and they carry on this sort of gay love affair. And I don't know that I was so hooked two episodes in. I don't think I realized. I mean, I just was like, these are these two guys that are having sex. Like, I just thought it was gonna continue to just be, like, really pornographic, which I loved.
A
It was hornier the first two episodes, and I watched them and took a break. I didn't feel so compelled to turn it back on. Then you told me, you have to get back into it. And then Shashank sent me an puberty meme or something that said that episode five was the highest rated TV episode in history or something. And so I was like, we gotta get into this. And then someone else was like, just FYI, the third episode is about a different couple. And I was like, oh, whatever. And then I loved it more than anything, and I'm a bit obsessed with that storyline. I'm like a Scott Hunter, Stan.
B
Like, that is the hottest. To go back to their couple. I was like, I couldn't wait for it to go back together.
A
This sounds like so more Raina's friend or more Ashley's friend. I love the show completely, and we'll talk about it. But when they brought in the Scott Hunter storyline, partially because he's the hottest man alive, and in our household, we both agree, Shashank was like, don't look at that guy. But something about that with it Just felt more relatable. They weren't pro athletes, like, on the ice. Like, they met in a smoothie shop. And the flirting, like, I was just like, oh, my. I was ra. I was just, like, obsessing over their every interaction. It's so interesting. Like, you were just like, give me these.
B
You, like a secure attachment style. Okay. That's because they met and they fell in love and you knew they were just gonna end up together. And these other guys made you wait six episodes, but see if they were gonna be together.
A
But they. They didn't. It was really heartbreaking. And you could feel him being like, I want to be out, but I can't. And I don't think I can. And there was this heartbreak and. Okay. Anyway, I have more to say about, like, why we as straight women love this so much.
B
But, yeah, I mean, I think that's the most think pieces I've read is just like, yes, it made me so horny. That didn't surprise me, by the way, I've always liked gay male porn. I don't. That's not a shock to me. Like, probably my least favorite porn is straight porn. Cause I've always said it just doesn't. It doesn't ever look that pleasurable to the woman. To me, like, I always just see these women getting, like, jackhammered in straight male on female porn. It's just not really my favorite porn. So. I've always liked gay porn of two women, two men, whatever. But it really turns into this, like, unbelievable love story. And it makes you really think about how many people in the world are really, like, can't come out and they have to live a life like this. And they really, like, fought against us for so many years. And I didn't even think this was like, a. Will they, won't they? I don't know. I really even, like, thought. I just. I loved watching the dynamic of both of them kind of, like, fight back against who they were and are they gonna be together? And that episode five and six are two of my favorite episodes of television of anything I've ever watched. Because you do the first couple episodes, it is just a lot of sex. You really see, like, their actual, like, romantic love story.
A
Yes. Like, even the end of episode two, he's a dick to him. It made me feel sad.
B
Yeah. And I thought that dynamic was going to continue.
A
Yeah. I will say, I guess the thing I couldn't really get a handle on was, like, were they just, like, they would hook up casually every season? Like, it went really Fast. It moved really fast. And it was like you'd see them texting and flirting, but I'm like, but are they fucking? I couldn't seem to keep up. Like, there was this one from like 2008 to 2017. So every season, were we supposed to assume that they just like hook up a couple times?
B
Yeah.
A
Okay. And then they flirt and stuff like that.
B
That's it?
A
Yeah. Like, I feel like I couldn't really get. Get a handle on it.
B
Ilya is supposed to be. He's bisexual, he's with women. He's with that girl's vet, Lana, on and off for years. And then Shane just seems to be like, only focused on work. He's just like, really solid relationship with his parents, but, like sort of out in terms of. Of being in a relationship at all.
A
Yeah, I loved all of it. Again, I just. The first two episodes were the weakest for me and then it was just a rocket ship. Like, we couldn't stop. We watched four hours last night straight. And then you get into Shane having a relationship with this famous actress and then the jealousy. And I think Ilya's family dynamic is one of the most fascinating pieces of it all. And I think a lot of people had the same collective thought, maybe especially after watching the first or second episode of like, okay, how many pro athletes are in the closet? And then episode three, they're like, all of them.
B
Everyone.
A
All of them. Like the whole Scott Hunter storyline all.
B
The way up to the top, but it's.
A
They're just statistically all the men that play in the pro sports world. All of the sports, like, how many are in the closet? So many. Just statistically, just by, like, I guess tech, you could think of more like, like sports as being more masculine, therefore being more straight, if you want to make that connection. But I don't necessarily think that. And I guess, like, if there's a thousand men, a thousand men that play sports maybe may skew a little more straight. But like, I'm just saying, statistically, how many pro athletes are in the closet and like having these types of situations and then the moment when Scott Hunter came out, right, I was like jumping up and down. Like, I was like, if he comes out right now and he brings him down on the ice, it's going to feel so unrealistic and it's. I'm not going to like it. And then it just worked. It was perfect. And then he would. Was like giving a speech about it. He's this amazing speaker. Like, I literally was like this moment.
B
That'S the second book. You should buy the book. It's. The whole second book is their love story. I'm not like you, Raina.
A
This.
B
I love the show, and I don't.
A
Need to read the book. This is. This is my normal people. Literally, I'm gonna. This is where I stop. It ends with the show.
B
I do wonder. I mean, you could say there's this population of people and X percentage of any amount of people is gay, but I do think some people who are homosexual have weeded themselves out of the sports world because they don't want to live like this. And they don't want to. They don't want to go all the way to the top pretending that they are something that they're not. So I do think that there's a portion of people that just sort of weed themselves out of these environments because it feels toxic and not natural to them.
A
But you're supposed, like, again, this is. This is just culturally, societally. I think these men worry. Like, I'm supposed to put off a different type of image. And what, now I've got people trash talking me on the field or on the court about me being gay. Like, I think there's, like, a whole thing of, like, I can't possibly come out. And so I think this moment, I think the best moment of the show is when Scott Hunter comes out and he says, I'm coming to the cottage. Right? I mean, it's just like you feel.
B
That they're like, it's not my favorite moment, okay.
A
I just was like, I don't know.
B
When he says, I'm coming to the cottage and the episode ends, and it's just my favorite moment of the show is when Shane says, why don't you tell me how you feel in Russian? And he gives that speech and he's just like, alone in the winter outside, and his father has died. He's just like, everybody hates me. I've paid for everything. I. I can't tell anybody who I am. And like, the worst part is I just, like, want you. And it's always been you.
A
And I love you.
B
And I watched it over and over.
A
It's so, so right.
B
Beautiful. It's just this person fighting so hard against what he wants. Like, I can't imagine a feeling like that. I think about it all the time. I think about all the time. I think about what it would feel like every day to pretend that I wanted to date women. Every single day that I had to fight again. Like, listen, I think women are beautiful. I'VE slept with women. I don't feel romantic inclined to date women. And if that was the social norm and I had to do that every day, I mean, mentally I'd be more stable probably, but I, I just, I can't imagine every day fighting against it. And you know, to live in Russia and to be, you know, you'll be. You could be punished, imprisoned, you know, it just. God, it was so beautiful.
A
I know. Like, I truly was like, I don't know, I'm more into this other storyline. And then I totally like changed my tune and I loved all of it. And you know, like, like Rayna and I were saying there's a lot of straight women that love this so much. And one of our friends told us, she was like, I've watched this twice and I don't really watch tv. And I was like, I'd only seen the first two episodes. I'm like, okay, she's just shelves. Gay porn. And now I get it. And I. So many women have said this and there's different parts of it, of course, being turned on by it is one thing, and there's this escapism, but I think that's like the type of men that this is like a super masculine men. Like if you're a straight woman and you like masculinity, which I do, you're like, this is not what I'm used to seeing gay men depicted as typically in the media. I know there's been a few different movies and I never watched Brokeback Mountain for an example, so I guess that's kind of what that is. I can't really speak on it, so. But I think we're not used to seeing men that read straight, that read masculine, that. I don't know if that's part of it. Like, am I so into that Scott Hunter storyline? Cause I'm so attracted to him. And so I'm like, I just like watching this even though it's not straight.
B
I think there's so many theories about it. I watched. I think it was a TikTok.
A
I'm sure it was.
B
I'm sure it wasn't. An article that I read, this girl was talking about how like women don't have to watch themselves be depicted in a show and how nice is it to not be like escapism. Yes, the escapism of it that like, I think sometimes we over relate to characters and we think about situations that we've been in where we've been treated poorly and somebody has ghosted us or strung us along. And, like, I'm not a part of this storyline. The women are all side characters. There's only two real women in the story, and it's. It's the women that the two men came out to set. Lana for Ilia and Rose, the actress for Shane. But, like, women aren't really in this. And so, like, you don't have to watch a woman get treated like shit, strung along, and it's just like, we're not a part of it.
A
I love that take. It's so true. Like, you're like, this is relatable. We all text and sexed and get ghosted and feel bad and fall for people, but, like, it's none of our business. Like, this is the boys doing this, and you get to just watch from the sidelines. That's really interesting.
B
I wish I'd come up with it originally.
A
I want to talk about straight men watching this.
B
Okay.
A
So, by the way, the creator, Jacob Tierney, is like, a director, showrunner for two shows that are Shashank's favorite shows, Letterkenny and Shoresy. These are Canadian shows because this show.
B
Was a Canadian show, and those are.
A
Hockey shows, by the way. So he. He knew it was a gay show, but he kept joking. This is, like the spin off of Letterkenny. So he was like, I'm interested in it because of that. I love Jacob Tierney, and I want. I want to watch this. And he's not, like, he's not turned on and he's not super into the love scenes. Like, he's a super straight guy. He's.
B
He.
A
He's not, like, oh. And he's, like, turning away, but he's not really into them. But he loved this show so much.
B
Who wouldn't? I wish.
A
I just.
B
I didn't know. I do think. Think an evolved, secure man can watch a man suck another man's dick. And by the way, you never see a penis in this whole show, to my chagrin, but it's pretty upsetting. But, like, it's implied oral and implied anal, but, like, you don't actually see any body parts at all.
A
So, yeah, I had this. I said to him, I'm like a man. A straight man watching this is a real indicator of how secure he is in himself and in his masculinity and in his sexuality. I don't mean to say that a man that wouldn't like, this is insecure, though. Like, I don't know. I don't think my brother would be into this. And I think that's, like, the most secure Person. Like, I, I, I don't know, I just, I'm thinking of different guys and like, would they like this and appreciate this? Andrew Collin and Brenna were watching it. Andrew Collin is the most. This is who I am. Secure.
B
She said he, she said they were both hard. Yeah.
A
So. So I've just. At first I was like, if you can't handle this as a man, you're insecure. And I don't actually think that. Like, I just think it wouldn't be for everybody.
B
Yeah, I don't think it would be for everybody. It's a lot of hypersexuality.
A
Yeah.
B
I thought I was gonna learn one thing about hockey.
A
I did not.
B
Did you learn one thing about hockey?
A
Not at all.
B
Very end I asked.
A
I don't know anything about hockey. I was like, okay, so is hockey, like, is there like one main star player like a Jalen hurts and or is it like kind of the whole team and like I was asking the dumbest fucking questions. Like, I don't know any. Like, I don't know ball, but I don't.
B
Like, I grew up in Pittsburgh. It's a big hockey town. We had Marilynieux who was like one of the most famous hockey players of all time. And that is the only hockey player I can name. Like, yeah, I thought maybe this show would do for hockey what like Taylor Swift did for football. But like, I'm not going to start watching. I didn't learn one thing about hockey.
A
Well, I never learned anything. I watched the whole season of stick. I still don't know one thing about golf. I don't know ball. But I do think hockey is the most insane sport. You're ice skating with sticks and you have to get a puck into a net and there's someone guarding the net.
B
Right.
A
I'm sorry, like, as someone who like can barely ice skate, it's the wildest sport. Like it is. It looks like the hardest sport to me.
B
Have you been watching these videos? I'm not whole. I don't get served anything besides heated rivalry. Tick tock. As now they're doing all these like video roundups of like, like them acting sexual on the ice and just how they stretch on the ice and they're like humping the ice. It's so sexual looking.
A
It really is. Like, who knew with all those pads it could still be horny? No.
B
I'm so horny for the show.
A
Okay. I have one missed moment. One thing I would have liked to see that would have just completely gutted me in the best Way I would have loved to see at the very end. I'm not gonna say it ended abruptly, but a little bit. All of a sudden, I was like, oh, it's over. I would have loved to see Shane's mom hug Ilya because, A, she hated him, too. That was, like, her son's rival, and she was such a hockey mom. But, B, because of him losing his mom and have just, like, not having that type of family. So, again, this is almost contradictory to me needing the happy ending and stuff with, like, the family. But I would have loved that because he, like, clearly doesn't have a real family. And I would have just liked to see at the end, they're just like, thanks for the pasta. And they have this nice moment, and the family's coming over to see them later, and they're like, you make sure to text, because we be. You know. But I don't know. I think I would have liked to see the mom hug Ilya.
B
I think that would have been a nice moment.
A
Okay, thanks.
B
Ilia's just my favorite. He's so funny, by the way. He. I think he's from. Where's he from? I mean, he's from America, I think.
A
Yeah. Texas.
B
I might have made that up.
A
But he does not on our story. He's not Russian. Like, the accent?
B
No, he learned Russian.
A
Unbelievable.
B
Unbelievable. He's so, so funny. I'm not blushing. Russians don't do that, Reina.
A
Like, there was a part where I was like, I love this show, but the dialogue of all they do is he calls him boring, and he calls him an. It's, I think, boring. An asshole. Must be a hundred times an episode.
B
It's my favorite. He's like, did you get your looks from your mom and you're boring from your dad? I mean, I can't get enough of him. I just. I watch, like, roundups of him just saying stuff on this show.
A
Hilarious. He's a hilarious character. Character.
B
I've been watching people do stuffed animals with, like, the voices. Have I send you one of these? No, it's just. It's the whole thing. And the. Will you come to my cottage to sort. And it's all of these, like, little stuffed animals.
A
Oh, when he said it when he's in the hospital bed.
B
Yes.
A
Okay. That's what people are saying because he's, like, all drugged up.
B
He's all drugged up. And they have, like, an octopus and a bear acting it out together, and it just goes back and forth. I mean, you guys got to get into this content it's my favorite.
A
The way I was feeling. I know this. You can't relate to this. But. But the way I was feeling during episode three, I was, like, holding Shashank's hand. Like, I just. I've never been so engrossed. Like, I'm so obsessed with these people, like, where their stories are going to end.
B
I just see episode three, I was like, can we get back. Can we get out of this? I'm so bored of this.
A
But the way. So you. Like you said. I think you. Did you say this earlier, like, last night.
B
I texted you. They're going to tie this in beautifully.
A
No, you. It's a different book. Maybe you said a few minutes ago. So it's a different book. And the way they tied this and with him coming out and then it's like giving them permission to be more open with their sexuality. Come to the cottage.
B
I mean, it's. It was amazing. It's just. I can't get enough of the show. I watched it twice. I'll probably watch it a third time. I can't. I can't. This is the most I've masturbated to a show.
A
Okay, so you are masturbating.
B
Hell, yeah. I'm alone watching it. I masturbated. This more than hunting wives. I mean, really? Oh, yeah.
A
This. I think this is, like, a big reveal that how much you love gay porn.
B
I just.
A
I'm not.
B
It's not my first porn category. I'm not looking for it. But, like, I did. I didn't realize how much I liked it.
A
So do you wanna talk about what you don't like? Okay.
B
This was so funny. Cause I hope nobody gets offended by this.
A
I don't think they will.
B
I watched a lot of gay porn in this show. Like, a lot of guys blow each other a lot. And in episode three, when Scott picks up the smoothie guy and he's carrying him across the room and I. I took a photo of it, I was like, ashley, this is so much gayer than watching two guys blow each other. And you were like, absolutely. And then I was talking to Brenna yesterday, and she was like, do you feel like when he picked him up and carried him across the room, she literally said the same line. It's gayer than watching them suck each other's dicks. And I was like, it did feel gayer.
A
Here's the thing. We do not want to see men getting picked up. Like. Like, I've seen stuff of women picking men up, and I can't, like, Handle. I have like a visceral reaction. Like, there's something about it. It's. Of course we support the homoeroticism of it all. Like, we love the dick sucking. Like, we. The anal, all the things. Like, we're down with that. But there's something about picking a man up and putting him on the counter.
B
I can't. I love watching them pal around, make fun of each other, obviously have sex. But there's this other scene where, like, Shane goes to Ilya's room and he's like, you feel it too. I know you feel it. And then Ilya's talking about his father dying, I think, and Shane mounts him and is like, hugging. I'm like, act like a football captain, hockey. I'm like, just act like you're the captain of this team. Okay? The way you're moving is. That's how I hang on people.
A
Like, I want to watch it with, like, for me to watch it with my husband. Like, there was moments where we were like.
B
Like, I would look over at him.
A
And he would just be like. Like, it's.
B
It hits different than the, Than the anal. It just does. It's so. You're just big men.
A
I think it's jarring. I think we can see men hooking up. I'm not phased by it, but something about them being picked up like that and being just on their lap, like, straddling. I just.
B
It's.
A
It's just jarring. And we're just getting used to it and we're not judging and, you know, the next season we'll be fine with it.
B
I had to be like, this is how I show love. Like, when someone that I am romantically involved with is, like, upset, obviously I would, like, straddle their lap, hug them. Like, Like, I was like, this is how people show love. It's just these big masculine men doing it. It's so. It takes a minute to get used to it.
A
We loved it. And I was talking with a friend of mine and I guess they're reading it for book club, but they're. They're like, we're talking more about the show. And she said, we're. We had like all night last night discussing why hetero women love it. And we talk. And I was like, what's your takeaway? And she said the same thing. She said one, we don't see ourselves in the relationship. So it's free of the traditional gender roles, expectations, and also refreshing, hopeful to see a man be a good communicator, be hon. Etc, like, you can watch it freely without putting yourself in the situation. And obviously the sex is hot. And that's what we said. That's so it. I think, put our finger on it.
B
You just don't really see these type of relationships represented in mainstream culture. There's not a lot of, like, gay male relationships like this. And so many straight men watching it. It really has just, like, pushed past just the barriers. Like, I guess everybody's watching this.
A
I know, and I love that about it. And I had this feeling of, like, what if you, like, think this is bad? You know, like, what are like the homophobic evangelical Christian Magaz? Like, they can't. They think this is like a sin or this is bad, or this is against God, and it's like, they can't enjoy this. Like, imagine being those people. Imagine being like, I can't watch this. Yeah.
B
Like, she's not at home watching, but.
A
You know that they're undercover watching. I mean, you know, I think that most homophobic people are in the closet. So it's just like, how many of these anti gay warriors are secretly watching this?
B
Thou doth protest too much.
A
Yeah. Okay, so we will move on from it. And we talk about something that, like, really has been in the news that we find really interesting, and it is Ashley Tisdale. She says she broke up with her toxic mom group. So she wrote an article for the Cut that's. I saw something that's called it scathing. It wasn't really scathing. It was just her personal experience with struggling being a new mom and finding this group of women and then starting to feel excluded and having to cut ties.
B
I didn't think it was scathing at all. I think that's interesting. Somebody who called that. It's just. I found. I thought I found my village and said I was back in high school. And when I saw her face associated with this article, it was shocking to me because you don't see, like, huge celebrities write these type of, like, op eds essentially, like, about, like.
A
Yeah.
B
And it never occurred to me that these would be like, other celebrity moms, because I was like, who are these people?
A
But like, of course it is. Right? Like, that was my. Yeah. Like, I actually don't even. Would she have done it if they were just normal people that might have felt a little like punching down or something? Like, I don't know. Do you feel. Do you feel like she felt more empowered to do it because. Cause these are also famous women, even though she didn't name them by name.
B
That's an interesting Take. I mean, I never. At first, I just. First of all, it's. To your point, it's not scathing. She just said, I started to feel left out. They were making plans without me, and they were on other group texts without me, and that was it. I felt excluded. Not that everybody was so terrible and mean. She was like, maybe she was like, I'm not calling these women bad people. One person might have been, but the rest of them just excluded me. I guess I just was like, you are right. I didn't really think about it as being celebrities, but, like, of course it isn't. Of course. Like, she grew up with all these celebrities.
A
Yeah.
B
Everybody in this mom group, it was so for you guys, it's Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore, Sammy Ryan, who's one of the Oppenheim brothers, ex girlfriends. And there was one other. Oh, Meghan Trainor.
A
Yeah. It sent a chill down my spine, like, feeling that feeling, which, you know, she likens it to feeling like she's back in high school. And, like, I just was reading it. And anytime you read these things, luckily I don't experience them in my adult life. I don't have those feelings. I mean, I think every once in a while you have some FOMO or, why wasn't I invited? I think that's, like, totally human. But, like, when it's all. You think all your friend group is hanging out without you and they're purposely excluding you. That feeling is like, I just remember that feeling in middle school and high school. And, I mean, it just sends a chill down my spine. Like, you're brought right back to that. And. And that's what she says. She's like, I didn't sign up for this to feel like this. Like, I'm back in those adolescent years. You just.
B
Celebrities seem like they're in this, like, microcosm where they're, like, otherworldly, and they don't say they don't feel the same things that, like, Muggles feel. And it's like, you don't see them admit to just having the same feelings that everybody feels. But of course, like, everybody that becomes a new mother, no matter how famous or rich you are, feels the same things. You probably feel even more isolated because you can't have these regular mom groups, like, right. Do need somebody that's kind of famous to be around your level. And, like, this would be double the amount of isolation of, like, a regular mob. Of course they feel these things. I just, like, forgot that celebrities have, like, real feelings like this.
A
I know. And I mean, I Wonder what the rest of the group would say. Like, if someone did a rebuttal, would it be like, she's annoying?
B
I do think Jesus. Like, I don't have to like, everybody.
A
I know. I'm just kidding. I want to root for Ashley Tisdale because people say I look like her. Do you think Ashley Tisdale and Hilary Duff are the Ashley and Raina of their time?
B
Well, everybody thinks I. Everybody says I look, like, hilarious, but.
A
I literally am saying, that's us. No, I get that a lot. And you get the. So those are us. So we have a personal tie to them. But, you know, dare I say it's giving Mom Talk.
B
How long were you sitting on this one?
A
Next year, we were going to do this this week, but I'm going to do a Mormon Wives breakdown next week because I've been watching it and then I'll be farther along. I may have finished it now the show's not on.
B
But I begged you.
A
I'm really sorry.
B
But, yeah, I don't know. I think this was so shocking because you don't see celebrities ever give opinions like this. And it's very easy to figure out who she's talking about because there's all these photos of them together and she's calling out pretty big celebrities. Like, I don't know, all these people can give her a bottle.
A
Well, she said, like, has she kind of. She hasn't walked it back, but she's said, like, it's not about them. She actually. They act. People were saying was. People, of course, started their fan fiction like they always do, and they said it was about politics. And she said it's not. She's a. People were saying she was maga. She's like, I'm a registered Democrat. Like, whatever. But she said something like, this wasn't it? Basically, I think her response has been like, this wasn't, like, meant to be a hit piece and like, you guys are wrong kind of thing. Like, I think, again, she's trying to cover her tracks a little bit. It's just tough. Like, she probably just really had such a strong emotional experience that she, like, went to share. And like, I guess again, it's Mom Talk. Like, you. You're too famous to do that. People will figure out who it's about.
B
Mom Talk could act a little crazier. First season Mom Talk, the best thing about that show is you know exactly who's doing what. They're in the off season acting crazy, too, and not the off season. I mean, you just don't. You don't see this very often, and it was very shocking. And I do think it probably just boils down to, like, not everybody's gonna.
A
Like everybody. Yeah. And it just. I feel for her, and, you know, I'm on her side as a fellow Ashley. She's also a cancer, and so I just could feel that. I think we could all feel that. And I think it just, like, hurts anyone that goes through that. There was a book I read that this happened. It was called the Friendship Breakup. And I enjoyed that book. If you guys are looking for more content about this. But I just think it's good to put this content out there and so people can know this happens to the best of us, you know?
B
Made me sad. She said that, like, she found out that all these moms had, like, hung out together and they had, like, planned this whole get together at her, like, daughter's birthday party.
A
They planned it at her. Yeah, I know. And I just. Motherhood is so tough, and it can be so isolating. And you need people going through the same as you. You need mom friends with kids that are same age. If you have a kid that special needs, you need mom friends that are going through that as. As well. Like. Like, you need that community. So when you find them and then it doesn't work out, I mean, the heartbreak is so much deeper than a friend group that we would make, you know? Yeah.
B
Who do you think, like, the queen bee is? I think it's Hillary. It's definitely Hillary. Right?
A
That's the. It's not Meghan Trainor.
B
No.
A
We've heard she's nice.
B
There's this food blogger in it, I think something with Gabby G. A B. I. I like her content. It's not her. She's not the mean one. Mandy Moore. I just don't think. I think she's too tired to be the mean one.
A
I just. Is there gonna be a rebuttal? Like, I don't know.
B
People are saying Sammy Ryan. So do you recognize her? She was the one that was dating one of the little Oppenheim brothers. And she's like, floor to ceiling tattoos. She's really interesting to look at. She's beautiful, but covered in tattoos. And people say that she dropped this, like, Megan, thee stallion, like, voiceover. This is the energy I'm bringing in 2026. I don't give a fuck.
A
Okay.
B
People are saying it's a response.
A
A response to this. Okay. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised. So watch the space. We'll continue to report on this. Okay. We're just gonna end with a few headlines and send you guys on your way. Alex Earl and Tom Brady. I mean, this shook me. They were spotted on New Year's Eve. And I mean, why not? Why not? Why? I say it shook me because I'm just like the two hottest people. Like, she just broke up with a more no name football player. She's gonna upgrade. She's on a, like, rocket ship to fame. Why not?
B
It's interesting to me because you were like, this is like a master class, like, putting your ex in his place. I mean, she admittedly, like, they didn't have some terrible breakup. Nobody cheated. She was just like, you know, basically, it didn't work out, essentially. But like, I can't even compare this to anything. I was trying to think of an analogy for myself. Like, if my. My man and I broke up, like, who would that be? To me, like, I guess it's like Alex Cooper, but like, it's not even comparable. Like, you're talking about the most famous athlete that has ever existed in the history of time. He's more famous than LeBron. Like, this is the most famous athlete alive. Men would kill themselves just to suck Tom Brady's dick.
A
100%.
B
There's nobody alive that like, there's still like, if my man dated Alex Cooper, some people would still be like, who? But like, if your ex dated Tom Brady, not one person alive would be like, who?
A
Exactly. Yeah, exactly. That's not a dig. It's just literally, he's a household name as an athlete. There's like five. He's like, literally like a Michael Jordan.
B
It's that. I mean, it's crazy to watch it.
A
Yeah, it is so crazy. I mean, she's just. She's so hot right now. And like, I. People were saying, like, she's gonna upgrade. And that's not a dig to Braxton or whatever. It's just like, she's gonna go more famous, she's gonna go bigger. And. And you know, I am an Alex Earle supporter. And like, I was seeing headlines and they were calling like, a TikTok dancer. I'm like, okay, she's so much more than that. And I just think she's gonna be so famous. And like, I love this.
B
I kidding. I was trying to like, like your greatest hero, the person that you grew up with, like, emulated in your entire life. Like, I pick Alice Cooper because she's at the top of her game. She's amazing. But I didn't grow up. I didn't know who that was because she's 10 years younger than me.
A
Exactly right. Your. That's your. Your whole life you've looked it up to them. So sending. Sending love to Braxton and good luck and we'll continuing developing stories.
B
I think she's too spicy for Tom Brady.
A
I don't know. Tom Brady is a full robot.
B
I mean, watching her rub his back and he just kind of stands there just frozen.
A
The back rub was tough, but he is a full robot.
B
Yeah.
A
So I don't think he's a real person.
B
Like, I mean, you can't be. How could you be at that level and be a regular person?
A
Watching, watching him talk like that's not a person. No, it's crazy.
B
That's like a simulation.
A
Yeah, that's a Tesla robot. Okay. And Zach Bryan gets married to a woman that looks exactly like his ex, Briana Chicken fry.
B
It's pretty shocking. I mean, gun to my head, that's the same person.
A
I know. I was telling you, like, I think a lot of women can look alike. You know, a lot of people, they've. They have the same face, they do the same makeup, they have the same hair, they have the same body. They've had the same work done. These women look so much alike. I haven't seen this.
B
Would you like it or not like it?
A
I would eat this up, but I want them to be a little less pretty.
B
Yeah, she's. I think Brianna Chica Bright is so beautiful.
A
They're both beautiful.
B
These girls are both really beautiful.
A
No, I would live for this. If my ex went after, like, a slightly less attractive look alike of me. I'm obsessed with that. That kind of did happen.
B
Your ex went after a slightly less attractive, attractive lookalike of me.
A
You.
B
Oh, my God. Everybody kept telling me how much you look like me. I was like, really hurting my feelings.
A
Stop.
B
No, I'm sure she's. I'm sure she's great.
A
Okay. So, yeah, I mean, we were not. We were never fans of Zach Bryan, but then he put that song out that was like dragging ice. And so people have turned a corner on him. So I'm neutral on him now, now that I know about his politics.
B
I was always a fan of his music. And then she came out with this, and I was like, I don't need to say spend my time and my money on this person.
A
He's got his back. He's gonna stand up against what's happening in the world.
B
And then lastly, New York City retired the Metro card. I mean, this was such a staple of my life. My Purse, my wallet. I was digging around in, like, old boxes to see if I could find one. And I had said to Jeremy when I was in New York a couple weeks ago, I gotta buy one from the machines. And I forgot. And now we're seeing that people are selling them for, like, 10, $10,000.
A
They retired them to, to do what? Because you can just, like, tap to.
B
Pay, so I haven't actually used a physical Metro card in years.
A
Because you tap. Yeah. So I know I have to have one and I'm gonna dig around too. You, like, since they retired it, you've been looking, trying to find one?
B
Yeah, I have to have it. Like memory boxes somewhere. But I don't know why I would, because I probably was like, when they switched to tap to pay, I was like, I don't need these anymore.
A
I, I, I have to have one somewhere. I mean, I, I, I've had them in my life. I mean, when I first moved there, I did like a monthly. Whatever the, I would load it up, you know, so I've got to have. When I find that. Oh, my God, if I defined it like, in my home, it's going to be like, jackpot.
B
I'll be so sad.
A
It's a relic now.
B
Yeah, they're so.
A
I just, I don't know. I love that collector's item, a Metro card, you know? You know who has one? I know they do. Rob Bolan. I knew you're gonna say Rob.
B
Of course.
A
He loves a Metro card.
B
I feel like every New Yorker, they used to just be, like, scattered throughout my house when I moved from New York to la.
A
I know.
B
And I'd, I don't take the subway that much in New York if it's under, like, if it's under, like, two miles, I will walk in New York.
A
I don't totally. I think I know where one is. I'll be so jealous. I have to cancel the afternoon. I have to go home and see if I'm right. I'll tell Emily. I will lose my mind. I might film this. Found my Metro card. I feel like, God, she wants to live in New York so bad.
B
Well, you love, you love nostalgia more than I do. You would be more likely to save.
A
Stuff than I would. Yes. So anyway, hold on to those or sell them on the black market. I guess they are collector's items now. And that's your snack, you guys.
B
So.
