Sarah
Hi, Kirby.
Kirby
Hi, Sarah. Welcome to Los Angeles.
Sarah
Kirby, have you watched the controversial Salacious With Love from Megan?
Kirby
I have not. I have not. This is not my cup of tea personally. So I have not been. I haven't felt compelled to watch it. And the conversation around it makes me feel even less compelled to watch it. Not because I think that it's one thing or the other. I just. Those types of shows are really not my cup of tea.
Sarah
Okay? So I wasn't really. I did not feel compelled to watch it either. Except for the fact that our dear friend Daniel Martin, the makeup artist, is on the first episode. I do love those types of shows. Like, I like grew up watching the Cooking Channel and Food Network and stuff. So like, and Martha, like that's like a very comforting type of show for me. But I just like, I don't have time to watch that. I don't have time to watch anything anymore. So I haven't watched it. However, when I was at Appa getting my teeth cleaned and whitened, they have the TV on the ceiling. So I was like, I'll give it a try. I'll watch the first episode just because I want to see what everyone is so angry about.
Kirby
Wow.
Sarah
And it was so cute. It was. Oh, it was, it was so cute and so lovely. She had like really great tips. Like a really easy one pot pasta, this really easy cake. She made candles with Daniel. She was, it was just like, I think unbothered from Refinery had a really good headline. And it was like, let Meghan Markle be boring in peace. Like, yeah, I just don't understand why everyone is up in arms about it. She's making a fucking cake. Like, yeah, I don't get it. And she's, she's very much how she appears, you know, in interviews on her Instagram. Like, it's not like she's this wholly totally different person. And then she has a very sweet relationship with Daniel. And Daniel's great on the show. I think he's like, he's really funny, but I'm just like, why are people so mad?
Kirby
No. On threads. It's just non stop fighting over this show. That's why I'm just like, I can't do it. Like, I. I don't care enough to be invested. I wish her well. I want her to succeed in life and have a happy life. I don't really know if I want to watch her make a one pot pasta.
Sarah
Yeah, like, you don't. And you don't have to.
Kirby
Right. And also, like, let her live. I did see the drama between Goop and Tracy Anderson thing, where I guess Tracy's like, I'm in my actual kitchen. Because I guess in the show, Megan's like, I'm not in my actual kitchen.
Sarah
Right. Which also, I respect that she just admitted that out in the open, like, at the very beginning of the episode. Like, a lot of people don't film in their actual homes and they don't say anything. So Meghan Markle admitting that she's not in her real kitchen is, like, a bad thing. Like, oh, my God, she's the worst. Like, why is that even a problem to anyone?
Kirby
Martha Stewart was not in her actual fucking home during her show. She was on a set. So get over it.
Sarah
None of these. None of these, like, chefs are in their actual homes. It's so bizarre. I. I understand if people don't like her, but again, let's don't watch it. Don't watch it. Let the woman live.
Kirby
Scroll.
Sarah
Scroll.
Kirby
But I was just like, live your life in peace.
Sarah
I need to know why people are so angry. And so I watched it and I.
Kirby
Was like, I need to see her chart. I am dying to see her astrology chart so I can take a look at if she has something in her chart that just makes her nonstop conversation around her. Like, no matter what she does, no matter what she has a conversation about her. There has to be something in there where it's like she's got some kind of fame aspect, where she's just constantly a part of the conversation.
Sarah
It's crazy, right? And I. I mean, clearly her and Prince Harry like to be in the spotlight. They're. They're trying to make money after being shunned by the royal family.
Kirby
Okay, wait. I actually have a. I actually have a criticism that I would like to bring up.
Sarah
Okay.
Kirby
She's launching a podcast.
Sarah
Great. Whatever. Oh, I saw that. Who is it? Who is it these days, Kirby?
Kirby
Exactly. And I'll touch on something in a second. But I'm happy that she's doing a podcast. I think it actually could be beneficial for her if she's a good interviewer and she sticks with it. But I also have to talk to whoever made the art for the podcast. It's giving. Graphic design is my passion.
Sarah
What is it called?
Kirby
I don't even know. I could not tell you the name of it, but when she announced it, I was like, you've got to be kidding me. Like, who made this? It feels. It's just weird. It's giving.
Sarah
She made it on Canva.
Kirby
Like, she. Yeah, like, she made it. I can do better on Canva. Literally, I make better graphics on Canva. It's giving. Early aughts. Blogger photo. It's just the whole thing is weird to me. I can't figure it out. Is it.
Sarah
Is it Confessions of a female Founder? Is that it?
Kirby
Yeah, maybe.
Sarah
Yeah, it's weird, the different sizing.
Kirby
Yeah. I don't understand it at all, but that's my only criticism of it. I. I will probably be listening. I hope that she gets entrepreneurs and founders, obviously successful ones will be a part of it, but I hope that she also highlights more marginalized communities and founders of that nature. I think with her platform, especially as a Sussex, it could be extremely helpful for a lot of founders. It's like, do we really need to hear from Serena Williams? Like, exploded.
Sarah
No, totally.
Kirby
And successful. You know, like, she did. Like, she was. She got money and fame because of being a tennis player and then launched a bunch of businesses. I feel the same way about, like, Beyonce. It's like, find somebody who literally, like, scraped by to build their business. I mean, Vicki Sai is a good example of that, I think. Granted, Vicki did not scrape by like she was in finance prior. Right. But know what I'm saying.
Sarah
Yeah, yeah. She was, like, making her products out inside of her, like, apartment in New York. And she started as. As, like, nobody. Right, Exactly. I. I agree. I will be very curious to hear who her guests are. But if. Yeah, if you're at this, if you're getting your teeth cleaned and you need something to watch, I would put it on. I enjoyed it.
Kirby
Drilling holes into your mouth.
Sarah
Yeah.
Kirby
One of the craziest things about the dentist is when I got my wisdom teeth removed, they gave me a syringe to start using a week after. And I had a lot of pain. I had a lot of problems. When I was healing from this operation, I had to go in to my dentist to be like, yo, I'm feeling extreme pain in my lower left jaw. Figure it out. My oral surgeon said, legit angel. But she goes, oh, there's so much food in here. And I'm like, in where? And she's like the hole in your mouth. And I'm like, what do you mean the hole? Like, I thought it was stitched up. And she's like, well, yeah, but like the hole has to also heal. And so literally all this food, like she was sticking, she was sticking the syringe in the hole. This is my B graphic. And then squirting the salt water in there and all of this food was coming out of this hole. I was flabbergasted. I'm like, wait, I was supposed to be putting the syringe in the hole the whole time. I thought you were telling me just to put it the back of my mouth and kind of like, you know, sanitize the area or whatever. She was like, no, you literally need to stick the end of the syringe into this hole. And I had, I was doing it and I truly, every day was like, wow, this is a modern marvel of how the body works and what you can do with it. Because the shit coming out of this hole in my mouth. And like now I look, I'm like, oh my God, the hole is all closed up. And then, then I was like, so freaked out. I kept texting her, I'm like, but like, the hole's closing up, but how do I make sure that like no food is in the hole is.
Sarah
Yeah.
Kirby
And she's like, well, it's not, it's not like, It' not like the skin or the gum is just covering and then it like builds up. It's literally like bone being rebuilt like underneath. So nothing's going to get stuck there. Like it's going to basically go from the back to the front. So you have no.
Sarah
Yeah, yeah.
Kirby
There's no way that you could get it. And I, I was like, wow, the human body is really incredible.
Sarah
Yeah, it is. That's crazy that you had to do that on your own.
Kirby
It was, it was crazy. It was, it was really eye opening experience. Speaking of podcasts, I gotta tell you, if you guys want to laugh your ass off, you have to listen to Amy Poehler's podcast. She just launched this podcast called Good Hang. She has video too, if you watch it on Spotify. I was laughing out loud several times. She is one of the only celebrities that deserves to have a podcast.
Sarah
I was gonna say, she's actually the one that I was thinking of when I was saying everyone has a podcast now. But she's one of the exceptions where like, yeah, please welcome and Exactly.
Kirby
And the promo for it was so funny. She had, she asked other people that she knows with podcasts about it. And one of them was Will Arnett, her ex husband who has on. He's smart. He has smart.
Sarah
Jason Bateman and Millionaire, because of his.
Kirby
Podcast, has had a podcast studio in his home. Literally. His home is my dream home. It's so beautiful. He's selling it, he's moving back to the east coast, but I know too much about this family. And he goes, I can't remember what he said. But then he goes, oh, by the way. He's like, what am I telling you again? Like, what are we talking about? Oh, by the way, do you know my blood type? And it just made me laugh out loud, like, oh, they're divorced yet still. Yeah, she's the person that would know what his blood type is.
Sarah
Yeah. Oh my gosh.
Kirby
Just like, I love this little conscious uncoupling but still friends thing, right?
Sarah
Oh, that's cute. I need to listen to it.
Kirby
It's very cute.
Sarah
Okay, so today we are gonna share our wife's because we haven't in a minute and we've got lots of exciting, exciting products that we've been using and loving.
Kirby
Yes. And then we're going to highlight a few of your wife's. Because y'all were popping off in the slack and I love reading what you guys are using. I'll speak for myself. I tried. Well, when I initially made this list, I tried to focus on brands I haven't mentioned on the podcast before. However, I ended up swapping a few out because I was like, these are too good and they need to be mentioned because they've been such a. These wipes are not just like what I currently have on their products. I've been using consistently for months at this point that I just love, love, love, love, love. So that's where I'm coming from with my wipes today.
Sarah
Okay. Yeah. I mean, there's just, there's been, as there are every month, so many frickin launches. So I tried to pick products that, with the exception of like a couple that are new additions to my routine, but ones that I've been like, reaching for every single day. Do you. Why don't you start?
Kirby
Okay. My first product is no surprise here, it's from Lawless. I love this brand. This is a brand I have been with from the beginning. I truly think Annie Lawless is an incredible founder entrepreneur. If you haven't listened to her episode of this podcast, go and listen to it. I am going to attribute Sarah's love of the forget the filler lip mask to myself, because I'm pretty sure I attribute like, I got you on that train.
Sarah
Oh, yes.
Kirby
That product is incredible. The whole Forget the Filler line, I think is so smart. And it utilizes an ingredient called Maxi Lip. So it's an ingredient that a lot of professional brands that you would see in a dermatologist office, etc, use. And the thing about Maxi Lip as this ingredient, you know, this pack, patented, trademarked ingredient, is that it helps make your lips look fuller. So that's why she puts it in the lip mask and the gloss and all of the other things that they have. They now have a Forget the Filler moisturizer, which does a similar effect to your face. And now they've launched Forget the Filler Skin plumping line smoothing foundation. Y'all, I am addicted to this. This is so. This is an incredible foundation. I would say it's a hybrid between Estee Lauder Double Wear and. And Armani Luminous Silk. It has the longevity that you may be looking for. Your skin is not going to eat. Glides on the skin beautifully. It gives you medium coverage and natural finish. So you're not super dewy, you're not super matte, but your skin luminosity kind of shines through. I saw Annie last week and had an hour to spend with her, and we really just talked about all things regarding the brand and her journey. And she was explaining to me with this foundation that, you know, it took two years because they really wanted the benefits that people see from the lip products to shine through this particular product. And when I wear it, I. I just feel happy because I'm like, this is like the finish and the look that I aspire to have. Very pretty. She even said, like, if you're oily, she likes this product for you because it will mix with your skin's natural oils and bring this luminosity to your skin that you may not have expected or with other products may cause the product to break up. Like, it won't break up. It has this unique matrix, as she was calling it, that helps to really smooth and lift the, quote, unquote, lift the appearance of your skin. So I have. I am. I'm. I'm not kidding you. I'm obsessed. I did tell her, though, that I was having issues with the packaging, which was when I tried to open unscrewed and then leaked everywhere. And then I had the top of mine pop off. Like the actual pump pop off. And she goes, thank you for telling me this. This might be my fault. She said that when she was testing it that she had. They had a cap on it and. And that the cap kept falling off and that exploded in her bag. And she was like, we cannot have this happen. So they made this custom cap, which Sarah, I don't know if you can see, but inside of the cap there are ridges, and these ridges are what keep it locked on to the product. So it really is hard for it to fall off. But with that, if you turn it on, it will actually unscrew.
Sarah
Yeah.
Kirby
And so she was like, we're going to get. It's going to have new packaging anyway with the new. It's like not the new logo, but the way that they now display the logo is a little bit different on the products. And so she was saying it's going to get new packaging. So that's. And I was like, I don't want you to get rid of this cap because I think it's one of the only foundation caps that actually stays on the product.
Sarah
Yeah.
Kirby
But I have in one of my other shades, the pump is literally stuck on the inside of the cap and I have to actually just pour out the product into my hand to be able to use it.
Sarah
I tried this product out. First of all. The product is amazing. And I agree with Annie. I think as someone who has really dry skin, I think this is meant for people who have oilier skin. That said, I really felt like it. It's like your poreless when you put it on. So if you have like any blemishes, if you want to hide your pores, like, this product is going to do it. I was. It felt a little drying on me. That's the only thing I'll say. But I mean, my. Like, I'm looking at the picture that I put on because Refinery, we did like a team review and I'm. My skin looks really good. So it's like, it's. It's. People like. And a lot of people were saying it feels like a. It's like you said like a skin tint, but like Max. Like, it's like your skin. Like, I hate saying this, but it is. It's like your skin, but better. Like how you want it to be when there's like a filter on it.
Kirby
Right. I don't think, though it is skin tint comparable at all. This is a foundation. It's not light, it's not thin. It is a creamy foundation. It's going to give you way more coverage than a tint would.
Sarah
But it feels like it's comfortable on your skin.
Kirby
Right. Right. I Don't feel like I'm wearing a ton of product and to the oiliness point because it helps kind of blur your skin. I have oily combination skin, so naturally my pores are going to look more pronounced unless I mattify those areas. So this kind of helps me use less powder. Like, I'm not using as much powder as I typically would to set my face. And I think it's great. Yeah, it lasts.
Sarah
Makes it easier.
Kirby
Yeah. I'm not. I never have to touch up my face with this. And I've been using it for the past three weeks. I featured it in my newsletter. I really. I think they knocked it out of the park. They have so many shades, and Annie was telling me they're actually doing shade extensions because people that have lighter skin tones were saying they couldn't find a shade that matched them.
Sarah
That's funny.
Kirby
Which is like the opposite of what it traditionally is. And Gloria, if you don't follow her, she has a very deep skin tone and she is always testing out brands deepest shade. And I was so scared when I saw that she had Lawless, because I'm like, oh, my God, please tell me that they're not gonna fuck this up. Because they. Annie even said. She was like. We were like, we gotta make sure we send her a shade that matched. And she's like, we send her a shade that matched not only perfectly, but it's not even our darkest shade.
Sarah
I love that.
Kirby
So they really, I think, did the work, knocked it out of the park, and absolutely killed it with this product.
Sarah
What's your shade?
Kirby
I use a variety just because I'm going back and forth between tan and not. So I have 3F, I think I also have 5F. Like, I'm in the fair, and then I'm also in the medium when I'm tan.
Sarah
Got it. I am 5L. And it was so funny when the Refinery team was testing it out, because a few of us were actually 5L, which I was like, that's really interesting.
Kirby
Oh, maybe I have 5L. Maybe. No, I do have. I think a lot of people fall in this 5L.
Sarah
I think so.
Kirby
But I will say this, too. I do think a lot of these products lean, warm and undertone. When I was with Annie, I was trying to look through all of the different shades to test them out and see if there was another shade that matched me better. Everything did lean a little bit more yellow, and I've been really embracing cool tones recently. So I hope with the shade extensions that they do add a couple of Cooler tones in there. Great. What's your first product?
Sarah
So this is a new addition to my routine. I didn't know that. I loved Sol de Janeiro. I didn't think it was for me, but I went to. They did a really, really cute like editor event in Venice earlier this week and they invited us to Den Mother, which is that really, really cute spa in Venice. And I thought it was going to be like an influencer event because many of the Sol de Janeiro events are. So I didn't know what to expect, but it was literally just media. It was probably like 12, you know, editors and writers and they walked all of us through the different products and new launches with their educator, which I'm like, thank you. Like, I really, I really appreciate this because I feel like so many people know Sol de Janeiro for their fragrances, the Mists. And they obviously connect it with Gen Z and Gen Alpha. But. Or is it just Gen Alpha? Gen Alpha. But they actually have really incredible products that are made for people who are looking for some collagen boosting. Yeah. Like for the, for the more mature skin. So interesting. Yeah. So they have a product called Baja Flor. It's their pink like line. And this one is specifically the Baja Flor elastic body oil. This smells incredible. It's. I know a lot of their other products, products can be like a little much for some people, but I really like this because it's, it's floral. It's like has notes of Brazilian jasmine, pink dragon fruit and sheer vanilla. So it smells really lovely. But this product is actually clinically proven to boost your collagen and elasticity and smooth your skin. And they have a really incredible before and after of someone using it on their underarms. And after eight weeks, like it's incredible like how tight the skin looks. So I have been using this all over my body post shower. It. It makes the experience like very enjoyable because I'm someone who, when I get out of the shower, I. I hate putting lotion on. I hate that I hate put putting lotion on. But it's just like it's my toxic trait. Like I know that I need to be doing it, but I hate like doing it and then feeling wet after.
Kirby
But.
Sarah
But this absorbs into your skin so beautifully. I do it right after I take night showers. So I put this on right after. And when I get into bed, I. It's like already like absorbed to my skin so I don't feel like I'm getting it all over the sheets. I haven't been using it long enough to, like, notice any differences. But I do feel like I. My skin does feel, like, not tight in, like, a bad way. Just like, nice and, like, firm after I use it.
Kirby
Firm.
Sarah
Firm. And then I have been using the Delicia body cream, which is the one that attracts spiders. Just kidding.
Kirby
No, no, I'm just kidding.
Sarah
It doesn't attract spiders. But that one was made for. For like, hydrating your skin if you have really dry skin. So I've been going in with that after. That one has a little bit more of, like, a more intense scent.
Kirby
Yeah, yeah.
Sarah
And fun fact about that scent. It's clinically proven to enhance your mood. Like, they did, like, studies about this. That particular scent, it just, like, makes you feel happier. Like, it's supposed to be like sunshine in a bottle or whatever.
Kirby
Wow.
Sarah
I know. I was like, thank you. I've like, learned so much about the line. So now I am a Sol de Janeiro girly. Two just like the rest of the 14 year olds. We love this for you, Sarah.
Kirby
And the 14 year olds.
Sarah
I feel really cool. So, yeah, if you're looking for a nice, like, body oil, something that's a little bit like tightening, firming, and a scent that doesn't overpower, I would check out the Baja Fleur.
Kirby
Okay. You might have sold me on that.
Sarah
Okay.
Kirby
Typically not really a Sol de Janeiro girly.
Sarah
I know. I think you'd like. I think you'd really like this.
Kirby
Okay. I got a fragrance. I smelled this fragrance on a person and immediately said, tell me, what are you wearing? I was at the L'Oreal Pro event. They were launching their Air Light Pro product. It's a hair dryer. And I hosted it. And one of the production team members walked by me and I just said, okay, give it up. What the hell is this? It smells incredible. And she was like, oh, it's Prada paradox. And I said, you're kidding me. Because I will say that when it comes to these more high end designer fragrances, so many of them lean into musk that I immediately check out. I am not a musk girl, Elon. Musk. Floral musk in the slightest. Okay. So I just. I'm like, I don't want to. I don't want that. Want that. Like, whatever the musk is, it makes my nose irritated. I can't do it.
Sarah
Yeah.
Kirby
But I'm like, this does not smell like musk. Lo and behold, there is musk in this fragrance, so it can be done. And I went home and I said, surely Prada has sent me A bottle that's just been sitting there looking beautiful that I've never used. And they did. I had it on display, and I said, you're. You're going home with me, baby. You're coming with me. So then I opened it and realized, oh, this is not Prada paradox. This is Prada Paradox virtual flower. This is a sister of the original. And I said, effort. I'm going to put it on. I love the bottle. It's the Prada triangle. So very chic. It doesn't roll around everywhere, which I love. And I put it on, and it lasts me all day. I smell it on my clothes days later. Jeans, jackets. Like, one of the biggest problems I've been having with fragrance lately, especially with these newer brands, is feel like I spritz it on, leave the house. Nobody knows I'm wearing anything.
Sarah
Yeah.
Kirby
I'm like, I need some longevity here.
Sarah
Yeah.
Kirby
So Prada Paradox virtual flower has notes of jasmine, neroli, musk, and ambrette and bergamot. I love neroli and jasmine, so this was going to be a hit for me. No matter what. The musk is not overpowering. And when I wear this, people ask me what it is anytime. Like, coffee shops, grocery store. I put it on before I go to P. Volve or Bunda. They're like, what the hell are you wearing? It smells so good. It has this floral scent to it, but it's elevated. It's not old smelling. I think that's like. There's just, like, a stuffiness sometimes with musk that I just cannot get behind and.
Sarah
Yeah.
Kirby
Just not incorporate that at all. Have you smelled this fragrance before?
Sarah
No, but I think I have it, so I should open it up. I'm definitely, like, a floral person, so I think I would really like that.
Kirby
And I mean, I literally. This is two weeks. Like, I'm using this religiously. Like, you can see I'm, like, using it. And I went to Sephora in Orlando, and I picked up the travel size, so I have it on my person at all times. It is great. If you are looking for a new fragrance that has a beautiful bottle and, like, you're like, I want to wear Prada. Who doesn't want to wear a Prada? Yeah, go check it out. Get the. Get the travel size and try it. I mean, I feel like that's like, one of the best ways to sample perfumes is just go to Beauty on the go, grab a travel size, and just see what you like.
Sarah
Ooh, I have to smell it now.
Kirby
It's great. For spring and summer. I'll tell you that it is. They have different sizes, too. It's $170 for 90 milliliters.
Sarah
Okay. I'm going to talk about a fragrance, too, now that you talked about it, about yours, but I said, ooh. I just looked at the price. Holy.
Kirby
Of yours.
Sarah
Yeah. Jesus Christ.
Kirby
Oh, I thought you meant ooh for mine. I was like, babes. What?
Sarah
Okay, so sorry. I have a very expensive recommendation, but I'm obsessed with it, so.
Kirby
Okay.
Sarah
I feel like everyone knows Victoria Beckham Beauty for her makeup.
Kirby
Mm.
Sarah
Maybe people have been already using her fragrances. I wasn't one of those people, but I was at an event in New York, and people. These two girls were talking about fragrance, and I joined the conversation, and they both, like, at the same time, were like, Victoria Beckham, Portofino 97. And I was like, is that the one in the blue bottle? And they're like, yeah. And I was like, oh, my God, that's the one I've been using. It's like. I guess it's already super famous, but I just had, like, Victoria Beckham Beauty sent me, like, a box of product last year. This was included in it, and I, like, gravitated towards it, but I didn't know that anyone else, like, had been using it. But I guess it's. It's a favorite. So it's got this very beautiful, like, turquoise bottle. Their bottles remind me a lot of the Elizabeth and James perfumes, which is also why I think I love them.
Kirby
Okay.
Sarah
Okay. Very chic, obviously. Victoria Beckham.
Kirby
Yeah, they are beautiful.
Sarah
The. It's citrus and woody. It's got Calabrian, bergamot, black pepper, amber, and incense, and vetiver and patchouli. But to me, it's very citrusy. Like, it's. It. I know it has the patchouli and the incense, but to me, it's bright and a little bit spicy and sexy. And I think it's like a perfect, perfect fragrance for spring, summer. And on the website, Victoria Beckham wrote. Well, she didn't write this herself, but she's quoted saying, when David and I first met, we kept our relationship under wraps. This was when I was in the Spice Girls, when we were enormously successful all around the world, and David was playing for Manchester United. In 1997, we decided to take a trip to Portofino. I remember the light. I remember how the hotel smelled and how exciting that time was. I remember it all like it was yesterday. And that's what inspired this perfume. It is, for a 50 milliliter. It is $200.
Kirby
Okay, so it is. So I would say that they are pricing this like Tom Ford.
Sarah
Yeah.
Kirby
And whenever I hear. When I saw this product launch, the color of the bottle and the name of it, I was like, is this a dupe for Neroli Portofino from Tom Ford? Like, one of my signatures that I love. They do have similar notes, but I think the difference is the pepper and the vetiver. Is that what it is?
Sarah
Vetiver.
Kirby
Vetiver. Vetiver. Because this Tom Ford has neroli bergamot, mandarin orange flower, lavender, as well as amber undertones.
Sarah
And it's the same color.
Kirby
Yes.
Sarah
Yeah. So perhaps. But, yeah, I think maybe I haven't smelled Neroli Portofino in a really long time. But I want to say. I mean, I think. Well, let's see. You'll have to smell it and tell me.
Kirby
Okay. Because Tom Ford are only. Portofino is $300 for 50ml. So. So maybe a hundred dollars difference, but it's like, okay, we're pricing this a little lower so people will, like, be inclined to buy ours versus his. I. Hold on. Let me look. This Neroli Portofino. And what is hers called? Portofino what, 97. When you look it up, it says that Porto Portofino 97 is a woody, aquatic fragrance. And there's definitely no wood or, like, pepper or anything in Neroli Portofino.
Sarah
Yeah. So that's probably. Hold on.
Kirby
I feel like it maybe smells way differently. There's no patchouli in it either, which I think kind of takes it to a different.
Sarah
They have different definitions and memories of Portofino, perhaps.
Kirby
Yes. Also, this is what somebody said on Reddit. Anybody tried the new Victoria Beckham perfumes? Portofino smells like Abercrombie. That every millennial knows. Does it smell like Abercrombie Woods?
Sarah
No, it does not. I disagree with that completely because I was, like, hated. I hated that. I don't. You're right. I don't get wood. I get the citrus.
Kirby
It's more. I mean, the top notes are probably citrus. When it dries down, what does it smell like? Does it still smell like citrus to you?
Sarah
It's just. It's like warm. It's. It's a warm citrus.
Kirby
Okay.
Sarah
But I wouldn't say woody. No. The Abercrombie, I can smell that in my head until the day I die. Because we were so exposed to it, we suffered during our adolescence, and that gave me a headache and a lot.
Kirby
Of suffered for overpriced Jeans.
Sarah
Yes, we did. And overpriced tank tanks and tops.
Kirby
Yeah. Overpriced tops. That were definitely racist in some regard.
Sarah
Racist. Also ripped. And I. I would buy the Chinese.
Kirby
The racist.
Sarah
Yeah, the racist ones. Because I was like, I thought that I was supposed to be in on the joke.
Kirby
You're like. Cuz it's Chinese.
Sarah
Yeah.
Kirby
So, like, it's great. And you're like, never mind.
Sarah
That's so. Okay, we're gonna have to do a side by side, but I think, okay.
Kirby
You wear yours the next time I see you, and then I'll wear Roll a Portofino, and then we'll do a little smell, I think.
Sarah
You know what I think it is? It's also. It's lighter. It's like brighter. You know what I mean? It's like more like fresh.
Kirby
Okay, so maybe it's like the sea element, the aquatic element. Like, keep saying aquatic.
Sarah
Yeah, it's like the aquatic.
Kirby
It's more like an ocean moment.
Sarah
It's more by the ocean. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
Kirby
Okay.
Sarah
But anyways, I'm obsessed with it and.
Kirby
But I do love the description because, like, I would love to have, like, a getaway with my hot, honky football player.
Sarah
Oh, my God. Yes.
Kirby
In Portofino.
Sarah
Yes.
Kirby
That's the dream, babes.
Sarah
Yes. 100%. Yeah.
Kirby
That's the life I want to be living.
Sarah
I'm reading the reviews, and a lot of them are like, this is. It's very fresh. I'm seeing fresh a lot. Beach, vacation. It's like we're on holiday.
Kirby
Well, holiday.
Sarah
Holiday.
Kirby
Okay, babes.
Sarah
Okay.
Kirby
Okay.
Sarah
Love it. Let's go.
Kirby
All right, next up, this is a new brand and thus a new product. There's a brand called Tilt that launched recently. This is a brand that I think is very different and innovative. It's made for people. I believe the founder has chronic arthritis, and she wanted to develop a brand that was easy for people that have chronic illnesses to use. There is a brand called Guide Beauty that is very similar, but I feel like Guide Beauty, to be completely honest, it reads very old, like, and not very cool. I understand, like, a lot of the products, they look beautiful and they're extremely helpful, but I didn't want to grab them to use them because I just felt they were kind of blah.
Sarah
Yeah, the colors were dark. Yeah, yeah. No, I agree with you. I agree with you. It wasn't. It wasn't, like, very fun.
Kirby
Right. Tilt, on the other hand, I think, really has a younger consumer in mind. But the products, even though they are made for people with chronic illnesses that may have trouble holding a mascara wand or applying a lip, like, you know, putting their fingers together, it really every. I mean, it's really made for everyone. The packaging is all custom. I'm obsessed with their mascara. It's very small, so it's very travel worthy. People did ask me if these were vibrators when I first posted about them. And I understand, like, they look like magic bullets in a way where, like, you could have a little fun with them, especially the lip packaging, but they are not. The top is ergonomically designed on the the mascara so that there's ease of use where you can hold it. It's bigger, wider on the bottom and has this tapered middle part so that you're not having to like, really focus on like squeezing or holding the wand. It is a lot shorter of a wand as well. It's not going to be as long as your traditional mascara wand. This took me a minute to really get the hang of because I'm so used to, like, holding my arm out and using a mascara wand. But I'm now fully obsessed. I'm wearing it right now.
Sarah
It looks really good.
Kirby
It's beautiful. The brush, it's a bristle brush. The formula really does volumize and lengthen your lashes. I don't believe it's too big. It says it also lifts the lashes. I cannot speak to this because I will always curl my lashes before using it. And also I don't have stick straight lashes, so I really could not speak to someone that is looking for an actual lift because of stick straight lashes. However, I think that the wand or the brush itself may also be custom because the curve of it fits the shape of my eye perfectly. Like a lot of these curved brushes, they're almost too curved. Sometimes, like, I can poke myself in the eye. I just don't feel like it's comfortable to use. I can get to the base, really work it up in or into my lash and go up. I don't clump. I do think it has. I'm looking and it looks like there are fibers in it to help, like, extend the lash, which is also helpful if you, you know, you don't want to spend a ton of time on your lashes. You want to get like a great payoff almost immediately. I think it's totally worth it. The brand is so cute.
Sarah
So cute. She's really young too. Yeah, they found her.
Kirby
Oh, is she? I don't know much about the founder.
Sarah
I think she's like in her 20s.
Kirby
Good for her. I think that this is a really, really cool brand. They have a very limited offering, just the mascara, and then these lip balms that look. They come in lipstick components, these custom lipstick components. They have a clear one, a pink one, a berry one, and I think, like, one other shade that's more nude, and then they have really cute accessories. I am obsessed with these clips. They're these little furry clips.
Sarah
Oh, my God. Yes. So cute.
Kirby
Your hair back. They're really cute and really fun. I'm eager to see what this brand has to offer, but their tagline is they were. It was engineered for ease. So if you know anybody who does deal with arthritis in any capacity or any type of chronic illness, that would make it hard for them to hold something. I think it's definitely worth looking into this brand. It's super cute, and I'm a huge fan already.
Sarah
Yeah, I. I have the samples, too, and I'm saving it for Hoda because she has RA And I was like, you're gonna love these.
Kirby
Like, I love.
Sarah
I want to use them because they look. They're, like, so fun to look at and also hold. Like, it's comfortable in your hands.
Kirby
It's very ergonomically pleasing.
Sarah
Yeah, for sure. Amazing. Okay, I'm gonna just quickly talk about this one, because we have talked at length about how much we love the road pocket blush, but they added color extensions, and I got date cake. If you are a berry girl, like I am, anytime. Any brand, like, sends me a list of their products, and they're like, pick a shade. I always pick the one that says berry or rosewood. Anything in the berry rose world that's like me. That's where I live. So the date cake is like, their warm berry. Red is. The other one is plum.
Kirby
Yes.
Sarah
Yeah.
Kirby
More of a cool tone.
Sarah
Yes. Is more cool berry, which I'm excited to try too. I don't have that one, but I love this. I, like, absolutely love it because I. I really love, like, sleepy Girl. Is that the other way? Yeah, Sleepy girl. And I liked toasted Teddy, but Toasted Teddy was a little too, like, brown for, like, everyday use for me, because I still like. You know, I like I. Pink, red tone on my cheeks, so I just like. I love it. It's just so, so cute and so good on you. Thanks. And then it's.
Kirby
They made them with Tony Bravo and Gloria. And Gloria, so they are very happy with the shade, how it looks on the skin. There's not, like, this white undertone or chalkiness to it, so.
Sarah
And you can see it on, like, these deep skin tones, which is like, difficult sometimes with these berry shades, like you said.
Kirby
Also they gorgeous road didn't have a berry offering with.
Sarah
They didn't product.
Kirby
It was more of these, like neutral tones or like bright pinks. So I think this was a smart move. And also I love that they worked with Ron Robinson to in addition to Gloria and Tony to help, like, drive the direction of these shades.
Sarah
Yeah. And these products, like this blush is like, I have no notes. Like, I really love this blush. It's days on all day. And I hope that they make a berry shade in their lip shapers, because that's what I need.
Kirby
Yeah, I bet that's coming. I bet that's coming.
Sarah
Fingers crossed.
Kirby
I do love the lip shapers a lot.
Sarah
Okay, next, Kirby, what do you have?
Kirby
I was going to talk about a hair product, but it's kind of hard for me to talk about it, so I'm going to skip it for now. And instead I want to talk about a benefit product that I have been using religiously.
Sarah
Benefit our old friends.
Kirby
It's the Mighty fine brow pen.
Sarah
Oh, yes, yes, yes.
Kirby
I am obsessed with this thing. So this launched. It says new, but it launched a couple months ago, so it's been a minute. And they sent it to me and I really was like, okay, whatever, you know, it's fine. It's like a gimmick. Yeah. It's a triple tip brow pen. It's super fine. Like these 0.8 millimeter bristles. Like, how great can it be? Like, I've always found brow pens to be very difficult to use because I have very coarse brows. So it's harder for me to actually get them to show up.
Sarah
Yeah.
Kirby
Rose siard, my queen teaches me something new every day. I love that woman. She actually did a great video on when you should be using a brow pencil, when you should be using a brow pen, what to expect from them. And I'm like, yes, it's all about setting expectations. So I kind of started subscribing to the way that she utilizes them. I use the mighty fine brow pen in 3.5 to bring in my brow hairs at the front because it's the three prong. Literally, it makes it so easy to just swipe up and then have this perfect looking brow hair at the front that doesn't look too stark, too. Too boxy, too anything.
Sarah
Or like, I often feel like when you're trying to fill those in, then sometimes it's like different sizes, you know, so it's like, not even. And then it, like, looks like you really drew it in.
Kirby
Yes. And brow pencils, I get. Yeah, to your point. Sometimes they can be too wide. You can't, like, get them to be actual hair strokes. Sometimes they look like hair strokes, and throughout the day, they start to move, and then they kind of blend together. This has been my go to for the front of my brows. I will also put the a darker shade for on my tail, depending on the type of look I'm going for. Like, if I just need to fill in. But usually I use a pencil for the ends of my brows just because it's a little bit more. I know the payoff is going to be there. But this is a great product. I benefit knows brows. Y'all know. We know we don't got to go into it. It's $28, which is kind of a lot. I mean, I know that 24 to 28 is, like, a sweet spot now for a lot of brands at Sephora, but I'm just like. And granted, this has lasted me a really long time. So if we're, if we were, like, going down to the penny of, like, uses versus how long I've had it, like, I think it pays itself off. But $28 for literally something called Mighty Fine. That's, like, meant to be really small. Like, I don't know. It just. I, I, I recommend it, but I understand that also, like, almost 30. It's going to be $30 with tax or shipping. At least. It's an investment. In my opinion, that's like a brow investment. But I do. I literally use it every day, and I have never been more happy with how my brows have been looking because I just feel like it looks the most natural.
Sarah
Yeah, no, I love that product. I didn't know that was that expensive, but I think that's the going rate for it.
Kirby
Oh, it's also sweatproof. It's sweatproof. It will. It does not budge, which I love. I can literally wear it to p volve.
Sarah
Yeah. It's almost like a little like. Like a tattoo. Like a fake little tattoo. Okay. I know that everyone and their mom has come out with some sort of tinted gloss, tinted lip balm, literally. You cannot exist as a beauty brand in the year of 2025 without having one of these in your lineup. However, this one is so good. So we had Basma on our podcast a couple months ago, and she's just, like, so brilliant. She has the incredible foundation stick. She just came out with the blurring gloss balm and Here are my gripes about tinted glosses, tinted balms. Sometimes they don't have enough pigment.
Kirby
Yes.
Sarah
Sometimes they have pigment, but then they're like, they don't have any benefits to treat your lips. So it doesn't really feel like. It's like you have to apply lip balm first, and then you put the tint on top. Sometimes the shades just aren't good. Sometimes you put it on and then it just. You eat it, and then it's gone after, like, two seconds. Yeah.
Kirby
Like, what's the point?
Sarah
Yeah, Yeah. I feel like that's actually the. My biggest gripe, this one. It's got pigment. It feels super, super good on your lips. Feels very hydrating, and it gives you, like, this really beautiful gloss. So I'm using mauve, and it's also. It's like a big. Like, a lot of these tints are small. Like, you're spending so much money. This one's $26. I feel like you would really like this.
Kirby
It's very pretty.
Sarah
So I. I have them, the Seichu, which you're gonna have to give me a tutorial on, because I feel like I look like I bruised my lips, because, I mean, it's like you have to be really detailed when you put it on.
Kirby
Gotta turn it to the side.
Sarah
Yeah, I. I did that this morning. I did that this morning. And I'm improving, but. And I love the product's amazing.
Kirby
Yeah, it's great.
Sarah
But I. I put that on, and then I put this Basma lip on top. I just love it. Gives you really juicy lips, and the color is so good. So the one that I'm wearing is mauve. It's, like, cool toned. They have a nude, which is, like a warm tone beige. If you're, you know, trying to do, like, a nude lip, they have a berry, which I just told you that I always gravitate towards berries. I didn't. I didn't use that one. Sue me. And then they have a brown, which is also really beautiful. So if you are looking for a new hydrating, pigmented gloss, I would highly suggest this one from Basma.
Kirby
How much is it?
Sarah
$26.
Kirby
Oh, yeah, 26.
Sarah
But this. I feel like it's going to last year, like, six months, seven months. I don't know. It's. It's big.
Kirby
I can't wait to try it. Okay, so that's our wipes for the time being. We'll do it again. We saw in the slack that y'all were like, where are the wife's And I think we mentioned this. If you're a new listener, we used to do this weekly, and then we were like, we cannot be talking about products this many times a month. Like, yeah, we got to be able to have time with these products to test them thoroughly, and we just felt we weren't actually benefiting the listener by doing it every week. So I think this is a little bit better. Maybe, like, one's a quarter.
Sarah
Yeah, yeah. Or you tell us. You tell us how often we should be doing it. Should we. Should we read some of our listener voice?
Kirby
Yes. But I hear that you have a qualm that needs to be addressed, and it's the same qualm I've had, so I'm actually thrilled to hear that. This is a national emergency. This is a national glossier brow emergency. We need to fix this.
Sarah
Alert the presses. Okay. This is a problem that not just Kirby and I are having. I thought that we were. I thought that I was alone in this. So the Glossier Boy Brow Arch two in one longwear pomade eyebrow pencil is one of our very favorite eyebrow pencils. It's so, so good. Like, I don't everything about it. However, recently I was doing my brows, and I noticed that there were white specks all over my face and my hands, and I could not figure out where it was coming from. Literally, I was, like, in a rush, so I was just like, this is so annoying. And I, like, washed my hands, and I had to sort of, like, get it off my face, but I couldn't get off my face. I was so busy. I was pissed. The next day, I looked in my makeup bag, and I saw these white flakes coming off of the pencil, and I texted Kirby, and I was like, does this happen to you? And you were like, yes. Like, it's so annoying.
Kirby
I stopped using them because it was just getting all over the place.
Sarah
Yes. So then I posted on my Instagram, and I was like, I love this product, but unfortunately, it is so annoying to use anyone else. And I didn't think that anyone was going to reply, but I got, like, 30 people replied, like, immediately. And they were like, oh, my God, this has happened to me. It's so annoying. Like, this also happened to me with their tint. I complained to the brand, and they said something like, you know, when it comes in contact with oils or water, like, that can cause the product to have flaking.
Kirby
But we're like, no, I'm sorry. It's literally anytime I pick up the product, that is a bold face.
Sarah
Lie.
Kirby
I don't put my stuff. The oils from my fingers are enough to get it to flake that way. Then you need to find a new component. I'm sorry, that's crazy.
Sarah
Yeah. Because I mean, if that's the case, we shouldn't be using that in our makeup routine when we're using like so many other, like, products. Right. It's like, come on, guys.
Kirby
Right? Some people apply their foundation with their fingers, get the oil from the foundation pick up.
Sarah
Exactly. It seems like something you should be thinking about when you're thinking about packaging. So I went on to Sephora's website and the product has four stars because it is a great product. But then so many of the reviews are like, the plastic started flaking towards the end, which was annoying because it was getting all over my face. My only complaint is the material of the pencil itself itself peels, leaving white residue all over my hands as I use it. The packaging has flaked all over my hands with each use. Like, what's happening? Flaking packaging.
Kirby
Should we leave reviews, go on Sephora and leave the Reviews?
Sarah
This was 5 days ago. Flaking packaging ruins a good product. Yes. It's. Yeah, it's like, oh, and then fix.
Kirby
Our long standing national nightmare Glossier. This is crazy. We love this product, but it's not a good product if we're concerned that there's gonna be white flecks all over our faces.
Sarah
No, I'm just like, I'm just pissed because I am pissed because I want to use it and I'm trying.
Kirby
I have three of them. I buy. I go to Glossier on Melrose and physically buy them with my own hard earned money. And they are sitting in my fucking bathroom collecting dust because I can't use them.
Sarah
We bought them together in London.
Kirby
We literally went overseas and said, let's buy some glossier eyebrow pencils. Like, that's the thing we should be investing in over here.
Sarah
To the point where I'm like putting like a paper towel around it and like trying to use it, but I'm.
Kirby
Like, we got to wear gloves, but it doesn't even matter because it's. It's flaking all over your face anyways. Like, you put it on your brow, literally, you have to move it to fill in your brow. Yeah, I'm.
Sarah
Yeah, I'm sorry.
Kirby
That's why I honestly have been using my Anastasia brow pencil and then the benefit mightifying brow. I want.
Sarah
Yes. I went back to benefits pencil because I'm like, she doesn't flake on Me.
Kirby
I, I, they are not flakes over there. Glossier. We need a response. And please, I, I need to know that something is being done about this. This is a pro. We're gonna clip this, Clip this. We're gonna clip this out.
Sarah
I'm losing sleep over it. You guys.
Kirby
Same. It's a great product, but we got, we gotta figure it out.
Sarah
Figure it out.
Kirby
Love you dearly.
Sarah
Thank you.
Kirby
Get it done.
Sarah
Thank you.
Kirby
Get it done. All right, let's read some of the wife's from our glams. Kayla Adkins says, I forgot how much I loved the Nudestix OG formula. And the RMS Lip to cheek new favorite is salt to air deodorant formula. Okay. Have you tried salty air deodorant?
Sarah
No. Only their body. Only their lotions. Yeah, only their lotions. I need to try it.
Kirby
Yeah, I'm interested in that. Allison Weber says Cyclor Sensorial body wash and body lotion in vanilla Verve. By the way, I love the word verve. I don't know why. Like, I hear coffee. I like Verve coffee. I like that. Oh, my God. What is it? Nine Inch Nail Song where they mention Verve in it. I like the word Verve. Really speaks to me. I don't know why, but I'm obsessed with it. Allison says the body wash is incredible. Truly silky smooth and smells amazing. I believe the brand was started by an influencer. It was Claudia, but I have just seen ads for them on IG and was sold on the packaging in the scent. And I think that, I think that Cyclor was mentioned a few times in this thread, which is crazy because they have been going really hard on TikTok and Instagram ads. I still haven't tried the products, but I would love to.
Sarah
Yeah, I haven't either.
Kirby
I think like the price point and the packaging is like a big sell for a lot of people.
Sarah
This Alana Sheehan. I'm sorry if I pronounce your name wrong. Obsessed with JVN Air Dry Cream. Can't get enough. And it's my number one hair product. I am telling all my friends about it. Have you tried this product? It's really, really good. No, don't sleep on that. Don't sleep on it.
Kirby
Okay, I won't.
Sarah
Okay.
Kirby
Ty Trin says after so many years. Oh, I actually I asked people to to de influence us as well. After so many years, I finally realized the summer Friday's lip balm is really drying my lips out. I love the flavor, but Ole Henriksen or Edam are way better for the price. That's actually really interesting to me.
Sarah
Unpopular opinion. Wow.
Kirby
I was wondering why my lips were literally so dry recently, and I was like. The only thing I changed was I switched and was, like, consistently using Summer Fridays. I don't want to say that's the culprit because I love it so much, but it might be. I have to tell you. Edams. Yeah. I think this is a bold statement. Edams lip butter product, whatever the name of it is, is the best lip peptide product on the market. It is incredible. I love the applicator that they use. It's very different from a road or Summer Fridays or whatever it makes your lips. Chelsea Riggs from Amica talked about this product, and I was like, oh, that's interesting. Like, never. And then I. They ended up sending it to me, and I was like, I cannot be without it. I am obsessed with it. It is my absolute favorite lip product at the moment.
Sarah
I have to say. I haven't tried the Edam one. I need to try that one. Um, but I was telling you, the Anisa Lip Lip, the Ceramide Lip tints are so fricking good. And they just came out with one that's a strawberry crumble, and it tastes like strawberry ice cream. It's expensive. It's $45.
Kirby
Yeah, it's expensive. But I also. I. I. They asked if they could restock me, and I'm literally like, no. I hoarded them at the event, so I still have, like, a million of them, but I didn't realize that they came out with flavors.
Sarah
Yeah, well, they. Yeah, that's. I think it's the first one they came out with. I have a ton of their. Their clear ones, too, which is because.
Kirby
It has the cholesterol in it, which I think is like, a really interesting ingredient to incorporate. Butter and cholesterol are back. Big Cow is back.
Sarah
Baby Cow. I love it. But not Big Bird.
Kirby
No, Big and not, I guess. Well, actually is Big Cow back. People are drinking raw milk. I guess it is back if it's people drinking raw milk.
Sarah
Positive and negative ways. Meghan said, bury me in this. She is referring to the necessary body vitamin C treatment. She says I have repurchased three times. It does wonders for dark spots on my legs and arms. Has a great pump and no scent. Wow. Three times. She sold me.
Kirby
What is this product?
Sarah
It's the necessaire body vitamin C. Oh.
Kirby
I have that product. I don't like the smell of it for whatever reason. I don't know if mine's turned or something. But the smell is getting me. But maybe it's like an old product.
Sarah
Maybe.
Kirby
Have you tried it?
Sarah
No, I'm. I'm really bad with body treatments, but I could. I could probably use it. I could. I could definitely use. I've got some dark spots she sold me. I'm going to give it a shot.
Kirby
Antioxidant. Tell me if it smells weird to you.
Sarah
Okay.
Kirby
Alyssa Plant more. Honestly, it's Gold Bond Age Renew Retinol Overnight body and face lotion. I put it on my body so it doesn't interact with my tretinoin on my face. It feels so smooth. And if our face needs retinol, our body does, too. Right.
Sarah
Okay.
Kirby
Gold Bond. I kind of want to run to the store and get it. There's something about ugly packaging that speaks to me recently. I'm like, if it's ugly packaging, they're focusing more on the formulation. That's like how my brain works. That's like girl math.
Sarah
I feel like. Isn't that what people are talking about on TikTok too? Like, yeah.
Kirby
They're like, that Amazonian clay mask is so ugly. It's like graphic design is our passion, but the product works. Yeah. It's like, if it's the uglier, the better, babe.
Sarah
Yeah. Oh, my gosh. There are so many. Oh, someone said. Stephanie said. I'm loving Jordan Samuel Skin Performance eye gel.
Kirby
Oh, we love Jordan Samuel and we love his products. He's literally the absolute best. Let's see what else. I'm trying to find products that, like, we don't talk about a lot on the pod.
Sarah
Yeah.
Kirby
Okay. This is actually interesting. This is a D influence. This is Kanika Khanna. She says, I got a Hydra facial for the first time a few months ago. Loved it so much, but let myself get pushed into buying some skincare products. Esthetician recommended Biologique Richer Amniotique, VG treatment and the hydrating cream, y'all. I hated them so much. I cannot speak for the rest of the line as I know people who love lotion P50. But for the hydrating products, expensive. Not as effective as my usual standbys. And the smell, the smell. I powered through and use them up because I couldn't bear to waste the money, but never again. I agree. I don't think that Biologique does any other product that well and is worth the price. Except for the toners. I have tried so many of their collagen products, moisturizing products. I just do not think that they are up to snuff. When it comes to moisturizing or hydrating, there are so many better products for the price point out there or even like cheaper and in price.
Sarah
Yeah, that was a good one. Wow, there's so many.
Kirby
Paige Raspberry says. I've had Nivea's Super Water Gel SPF 50, the Japanese version, in my routine for quite some time. It's the perfect lightweight protection for my mostly oily, acne prone skin. I was gifted Mario Badescu Super Peptide Serum for Christmas and I've just about finished it and will be purchasing it again. Two new products in my routine that I'm loving are Catrice's Under Eye Brightener and Rehab Beauty's Charge your eyes under eye patches. Catrice's product in Light Rose does such a better job with correcting my under eye circles than the yellow I was using. And Rehab Beauty's patches really make my eyes look rusted even when I'm not. There's extra product left over in the pouches after using the foil patches so I can use it on my eyes for a few days. And both products are on the cheaper side.
Sarah
Great Love.
Kirby
I love these.
Sarah
Look how so thorough. I was gonna say look how thorough and well written these glam Jeleno reviews are. I absolutely love it. Speaking of eye patches, I really like the Summer Fridays ones.
Kirby
I have not tried them yet, but I will.
Sarah
They're super cooling, which I appreciate.
Kirby
We got a extreme creamer over here. Allison Barrera. Omg. In beauty, extreme cream is my everything. No poor clogging ingredients and an Augustinous botter dupe. We know. That's right. I actually think I have a code for this.
Sarah
I think I get.
Kirby
I have a 20 code that I'll put in the show notes.
Sarah
That's a good one.
Kirby
So if you need to restock.
Sarah
Oh Emily Buckland. She is shouting out belief the True Cream Moisturizing balm. I love this product too, she says. I know the Aqua bomb has gotten a lot of attention over the years, but the moisturizing balm truly is the moisturizer for me. It's super nourishing and hydrating without feeling heavy or thick. It's high in glycerin, so it has a really nice emollient slip to it that I adore. I can use it for either night or day, although usually I'll use it for evenings year round and only during the day when it's colder. Plays nicely with all my other products and works works well under makeup. I don't know how many times I've emptied and repurchased but it's been a lot.
Kirby
I also love seeing brands on here where the founder has been on or like it references or the the brands that they're talking about are referencing we've talked about on the podcast. So here are two that feature celebrities that we recently ranked okay. Amanda Jacobs says I am obsessed with the pleasing serums, acid drops for nighttime and the pearl illuminating serum per day. I've only been using for a few days and already see a huge difference in my skin texture and brightness. They are a hit for me.
Sarah
Pleasing like Harry Styles.
Kirby
Yes.
Sarah
He makes serums.
Kirby
Yes. I know, I know.
Sarah
You learn something new every day.
Kirby
I'm truly, I'm perplexed. Amanda, you need to write into the slack and let us know if you're a styler or whatever the fans call themselves because I I am curious if like normal people are just seeing ads and buying these products. Kirsty says Give Beauty powder blush duo that I bought on a whim while it was on mega sell slash liquidating last year. Dying to know the tea because the blush is actually so good and I'm usually cream blush girl. Still seeing some give products in stock on Sephora too. So, so curious. Kirsty. Listen to our celebrity beauty brand State of the Union. We go into give pretty deeply and I am a huge. I still have all those blushes in every single shade and I use them regularly. I do love those blushes. They were so good. They're so good. If you can get your hands on them, you should buy buy them. They're. They're worth every penny.
Sarah
Yeah. If you can. If you can find them. Tell us where if you can find them.
Kirby
Lastly, should we mention this one end things? Jessica Austin, she says Brown Girl Jane's Casino perfume is an absolute banger. It gives boozy espresso martini with a sweet almond foam. Okay girl, we love this description.
Sarah
Are you a copywriter?
Kirby
No. Someone needs to hire her. I want to try this now.
Sarah
Wow. So boozy.
Kirby
Espresso martini. The. The verb of this sentence. The verb of this sentence. Girl. Yes. We love a recommendation like that. Hell yeah. Casino. We have had the founder of Brown Girl Jane on the pod as well. So you should listen to her episode. It's a. It's a good one.
