Los angeles hi, kirby.
C
Hi, sarah.
B
Welcome to los angeles.
C
If you've listened to the podcast long enough, you know we love to dabble in our astrological traits and attribute everything from our work ethic to our unhinged takes on being Capricorns. So we figured it was time to have a legitimate astrology resource on the podcast to learn how the planets affect things like beauty, trends and headlines. Today we're joined by Eliza Kelly, astrologer, author and podcast host known for bridging spirituality and pop culture, to usher us into Gemini season and give you tips on how to make the most of your own placements. Welcome to Los Angeles. Aliza.
A
Oh my gosh. Thank you for having me. The Capricorn show.
B
It really is.
C
And also, you're our first astrologer ever on the pod after 500 episodes. The first seven years. 500 episodes.
A
500 episodes. Oh, wow. That is an honor.
C
Yeah, we're almost at 600, so it's crazy. I know.
B
Wow, we're so excited to have you here.
A
This is the Capricorn spirit. Like, everyone take note. Like, not everyone can do this. They hate us because they ain't us. Like, I get it. But wait, Capricorn rising over here. So I feel, I feel right at home, safe and sound.
B
What is the difference between a December Capricorn and a January Capricorn?
A
Good question. Do you guys feel the difference like that? I'm always interested in if signs within the sign. You can sense the difference of energy.
B
I think we're very similar in so many ways, but then there's definitely differences.
A
So what happens? So there's no such thing as cusp signs in astrology, which is like our first debunk of the day, perhaps. So you're not like a Gemini Taurus Gemini Cusp or a Gemini Cancer Cusp. You are either a Gemini or a Cancer because the sun was at an exact moment when you were born. But as the sun progresses through a zodiac sign, it changes how it experiences that zodiac sign, because each zodiac sign has its own sort of maturation process. When you're a December Capricorn, you're closer to winter solstice. You are early in the Capricorn journey and experience. So it's almost like you are more. It's like a newer Capricorn, a new Capricorn energy, and that is going to translate to being even more Capricornian in a lot of ways. So it's kind of like the true raw essence of Capricorn, of like, this is the way it is. This is the business, this is what we're working on, this is what we're building. As we graduate throughout the journey, we sort of start to learn some of those lessons already, right? We get the vibe and we start to inch closer towards where Aquarius is. And Aquarius is about, like, innovation and progress and breakthroughs. So a January Capricorn starts to sort of like, expand on those. Like, this is the five year plan to sort of consider how are we going to build a legacy around it? Like, what does it mean for other people? How can we build a little humanitarianism into it? Like, how can we make this actually something that is going to make a big difference in the world rather than something that we're just like doing on a to do list, right? We, we love all signs, but it's like we need both.
C
We need both Capricorn different.
A
It's different.
C
I will say from a technology standpoint, I think I and I, obviously the chart is a big part of this, right? Like, obviously we have our sun signs, but would you say, like, the chart overall also contributes to, like, how we operate?
A
Yes, of course, of course.
C
But I think that Sarah, technology wise, is more willing to experiment and try things. Like, she's constantly sending me things like, oh, my friend does this. And I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Like, yeah, we need to actually research this paper. And then she's like, no, but, like, I did. But, like, let's try it. And I'm like, I'm less willing to adapt. I'm not an early adopter. She is.
B
But you're an early Capricorn.
C
But I'm an early Capricorn.
A
Yes. Because, I mean, Capricorn wishes It was, like, 1945. Like, Capricorn is, like, literally, like, they love the hustle. They love hard work. They want to, like, put in the time and the energy to it. Like, they don't want to take the. The easy way out. And I feel like with, like, true, raw Capricorn energy, it's very much sort of like we're doing it old school. Like, if we can't do it old school, we can't do it at all. Whereas when we get into the later Capricorn Energy, it's kind of like, what technology can we use? What can we bring in? How can we sort of modernize this and keep it spicy and fresh? Old school Capricorn is like, I. I love to imagine, like, old school Capricorn is like a 1940s agent, you know, who. Who's like, it's showbiz, honey. This is the way it is. Like, with a cigar and the mouth. Exactly. And it', like, we don't have time for that. But it's like, honey, you know the talkies are coming.
C
Yes.
A
You know, like, they're coming in a big way. Convert. Yes.
C
Or not.
A
We're going to have, like, Technicolor soon, I can assure you.
C
Well, but what's also interesting is that AI obviously is a big conversation right now, and Sarah and I had very, you know, specific thoughts about this in terms of being a creative. Right. Like, we don't think that AI should be used to, like, become an actor, take over jobs where, like, real people are needed. Right. But I do think, and I listened to David E. Kelly say this on a podcast recently. He's like, I'm not concerned about AI. I'm concerned about the misuse of AI and that's how I feel. I think that AI can be used in ways that are actually beneficial to the collective and to the whole and to the working person.
B
Yes.
C
Without taking jobs away from people or minimizing things. Trust me, I love human craft. Like, I would rather see a movie that's all puppeteers than a CGI movie. Why do you think I'm obsessed with Baby Yoda?
A
Like, hello, human.
C
He's a puppet. He's a real thing. He's tangible. Like, I could grab him and take him away if I needed to. CGI is never gonna feel that way. So, yeah, it's interesting, like, how she has helped me kind of balance this, like, more technologically advanced side of things when I've been so almost like, if it's not hard, but she keeps us on the path.
A
Right.
B
She keeps us on the path because she's like, this is how we're doing it.
A
Yeah. And, like, there is so much value in knowing how to do it fully and not take any shortcuts. And I fear that AI, like, and the complete adoption of it, we are going to miss actually, like, the recipe. We're going to forget how to cook 100%.
B
Don't even get me started on how wrong the AI bots are about astrology in your chart.
A
Can you believe it, girl? I mean, I can. And I also adore because it's so easy to see, like, who is using AI and being a silly head and who actually knows what. What they're talking about. So, like, I. I am tickled by it right now. I'm sure it'll catch up and get, you know, it'll improve, but right now it's like, oh, really?
C
Yes.
A
You think that that's the sun sign. Okay. You think that we're currently in Libra season? All right.
C
Oh, that's funny. That's funny.
A
That AI doesn't know time.
C
Right, Right.
A
That's a big sort of missing piece of it. It's like a gray area as it doesn't know what day it is or, like, where we are in space and time.
C
So I did go to ChatGPT and I said, just for fun, like, tell me about my chart. I got my moon sign wrong. And I remember being, like, almost traumatized at first because being a Scorpio moon is very important to me. Yes.
A
So it should be.
C
I was like, no, no, no, no, no. I think it said. I was like, was it Libra? It would have happened.
A
I feel like it always defaults to Libra. It must be a Libra.
C
It always defaults to Libra.
A
Yeah.
C
And so I was like, try again. And then it said I was a Gemini moon. And I was like, there's no way. There's no way. And then I was like, try again. And it was like, oh, you're right. It's A Scorpio moon. So this is the thing about AI, especially from a journalism point of view. I'm terrified for these people that think that they can just, like, write these stories on ChatGPT because there's no fact checking. They're not, like, really going into the weeds. They're just like, okay, great, they made this thing for me. I'm going to post it and then disseminating information that's incorrect.
A
I've recently arrived. I think I synthesize the issue for me in this moment, and is that, like, there is no soul to ChatGPT, and yet we're using it, or any AI, right? Any generative AI, and we're using it to create scripts for content. And then we're wonder, like, that are just about, like, endlessly getting followers for nothing. Like, why are you trying to get so many followers? What is. What do you have to say to these followers? And it's like we've kind of reached this moment where it's like a snake eating its tail, where it's like we're just like, using this soulless thing to write to create scripts to get followers that lead to nowhere. And then they're bots. And it's like, where does this loop go? And when we use AI to actually, like, animate things that are supposed to have, like, our heart and integrity and, like, spirit in them, like, you can feel the difference. And I can hear it. I mean, if I hear one more AI script read by somebody who used to have original ideas, like, I'm gonna vomit on myself.
C
Can I ask you what's a dead giveaway for you that a script is.
A
And this is what nobody's talking about. There's that one Subtly, quietly. Those are big words. Also the. It's not X, it's Y with feeling or something. Like some sort of, like, parallelism where it's not this, it's that with this, like, all of those structures to me, like, if I hear them and it's actually changed how I write and how I talk because I'm like, I can't use the word quietly. That's. Now that's for them. Fine, let them have it. I know synonyms. It's okay. I'm a person with a brain. I could figure it out. But it's interesting how I am, like, trying to AI proof myself. Even in real life conversations. I'm like, no, subtly, no, quietly, no parallelisms. It's crazy to me. But it's also very. I mean, go back to the astrology of it. There are no coincidences, which we are here. We have arrived in this moment, like, for a reason.
C
Okay, before we get into more astrology, we want to ask you what's on your face? What is on your beautiful face right now? Because you always have this incredible wing. I can see this iridescence on your eyes. And then I love your lips. So what are you wearing?
A
Oh, my God. Okay, here we go. So the eyeliner is one point. It's something about a point, but it's one size. The eyeshadow is half magic, which I was introduced to by you.
C
Thank you.
A
The foundation is nars, and I don't actually wear foundation usually. I usually wear, like, a tinted moisturizer. Laura Mercier. Is that. How am I saying this right? Yes, but because I just did the show, I got this foundation. I'm like, oh, maybe I like foundation. Nars. Like, little bronzer. Glowy benefit blush. Charlotte powder. Mattifying.
C
Yes.
A
Mac lipstick.
C
What shade do you know?
A
Whirl.
C
Whirl, of course.
A
Whirl. Lip liner, Whirl Lipstick, sun always love. I can't even do anything else. I wouldn't. I wouldn't dare. Oh, and then tower mascara, which is, for me, like, game changer.
C
It's the best. Make waves. Yes. Okay.
B
What did you spray in your hair before you. I was wondering what was in your hair was like a texturizing. A dry shampoo.
A
It's a dry shampoo. I live off dry shampoo.
B
Which one?
A
I'm actually. I'm in an experimental phase right now.
B
Okay.
A
Yeah. I'm going back and forth with a few different ones. I think this is just like the. The bestie.
C
Oh, Batiste.
A
Which I think is amazing.
C
It's so affordable.
A
I was just on JVN's podcast. They gave me a dry shampoo, which is divine. It's already done, so I couldn't bring it here. And then there's a new one that I was trying recently also, but I can't remember it. So I'm still on the market for, like, my. Perfect.
B
Those are two great ones.
A
Thank you for asking, love. I only want people to ask me what the products are.
B
We'll ask you again. So you were one of the first astrologers to make memes, helping to bring astrology the social media climate. Thank you. What do you think is currently wrong about astrology as it exists online? Aside from the AI of it all?
A
The doomsday? Yeah, I mean, it's really interesting. There's a lot of reasons one can be afraid. Right. It's really quite the time to be alive. And I think that we are not crazy for trying to figure out how we are going to survive and live in these very difficult, unprecedented, challenging, scary, uncertain times. Astrology is very good at that. It has been good at that for thousands of years. But we've also never had access to endless doomscrolling before. So going to an astrologer and getting sort of like a prophecy was something that you might do once a year. Now you will just be inundated with astrologers or people who say they're astrologers telling you that the world is going to end or this horrible thing is going to happen, or linking horrible events to astrological things and just sort of creating this endless loop of fear, literally fear mongering, because that is what gets views, period. Any astrologer who is trying to build a following will know that if you scare people, they will follow you because they're going to also want to know what you have to say next. And I think that it's horrible and I think that it's like a misuse of this, which is why I have gone. I've swung my pendulum so far the other way in the past year, but like several months really. And I'm like, I just want to play. I want to make astrology fun and beautiful and magical and delightful. It should be fun to self actualize. It should be fun to learn about yourself and learn about the cycles. Like, let's make it campy, let's have tea. You know, like, let's make this something that is an enjoyable euphoric experience rather than something that makes us feel horrible and fearful and miserable in our bodies and in the world. We have enough. Astrology doesn't need to be one of them.
C
Amen. Honestly, I used to love it and I obviously love watching your content, but because I engage with your content, I get served more astrology content that I'm like, it really does get to you where you're thinking to yourself, okay, should I not be doing this because this catastrophic thing is gonna at this time. And then I remember had I had to like snap out of it and be like, I don't even know who this person is that popped up on my feet.
A
That's right. Yeah, yeah.
C
Who is this? Who is this even a real astrologer?
A
Is it? You can even say, is this even a real person now? Totally. Right? I just saw an AI astrologer T. Wow.
B
Oh, hate that.
C
I'm so scared of like the AI revolution that's coming. Like the actor that Whatever her name was. I'm like, no, I don't even. It's not even an actor. It's just like a hologram.
A
Yeah, right.
C
Okay. What's interesting is you launched a dating app that was ahead of its time. You launched it in 2014. It was called a line, and you matched people, or it matched people, rather, based on their charts. How can pairing someone's chart help in a relationship? Is there something that you personally look at if you want to give an example of, like, okay, these people may not look compatible on paper, but there are aspects to them that work.
A
Yeah. So I always say that it's not if you're compatible, it's how you're compatible. So having both charts allows you to see how you can support each other, where you might have the pain points, where you have to learn how to sort of see something through a different perspective so that you can be the best partner you can be. You could show up and, like, let the relationship do its thing, which is ultimately bring two different people together, which is actually a different chart. So we have each person's chart when we read them. It's synastry. And then the relationship has its own chart, which is called a composite chart. And the composite chart is the chart of you and another person, which is really special. So that's kind of a really good chart to work with because you get your vibe as a couple. But when it comes to synastry and going back and forth of person A to person B, person B to person A, I love to look for Moon Venus aspects. I think that the Moon is how we feel emotionally. It's what nourishes us. So to have someone who's Venus, which is about what you value, sees someone else's Moon, it's like, what that person needs emotionally is attractive and delightful to the other person. So moon Venus, beautiful.
C
What's sexy in terms of a Moon Venus connection to you? If you saw these two signs as a Moon Venus?
A
Well, I feel I don't even have to reveal this, so I'm just being very honest in this. But my husband and I have this, and I feel like it's one of our strongest pairings is that I am a Pisces Moon and he's a Venus in Pisces, which is like a beautiful. You know, he loves vulnerability and sensitivity and complexity, which I am in an abundance of. But, like, all of that, that part of me feels really seen by him. Not only seen, but he finds it attractive, which is also, like, beautiful, because then I can Just be my Piscean moon self. And he's like, this is what I love about you. So I think that something like that is really delightful. I also love houses. When people have different houses that get lit up by someone else. The fifth house is about your creativity and you feeling flirty and fun and fabulous. And then seventh house is serious partnerships. Eighth house is how you sort of create a universe together. Twelfth house is, like, past life stuff. So it's really interesting to see how different people animate our charts and how we can tell stories about how that person helps us heal or doesn't through the relationship. Cool.
C
Wow.
B
Okay, cool. We've entered Gemini season. Is there anything we should know when it comes to astrology of beauty or wellness for this particular zodiac timeframe?
A
So each zodiac sign obviously corresponds with a different season, Right? So we have. Gemini season is a mutable transition between spring and summer. And Gemini is fun and flirty and fabulous. So obviously, we're gonna see that reflected in what we're wearing, what's on our face, the looks, the vibes. Spf, please, por favor, for everyone. But even bigger than that, what's happening during Gemini season this year, and is that Jupiter, which is the planet of abundance and expansion, which stays in a zodiac sign for about a year, which very much defines the zeitgeist of that year, is moving into Leo out of Cancer. And I was like, what's going to be a good way for us to have thought about Jupiter and Cancer over this past year? And it arrived, and it's Olivia Rodrigo's babydoll dress. And I'm like, there it is. There's the zeitgeist, the Jupiter in Cancer of it all. This babydoll dress is so Jupiter in Cancer, because Cancer is like the babies and the mommies and nurturing and softness and sweetness. Jupiter in Leo is that bitch a diva. Truly, it's like giving maximalism. It's giving cheetah. It's larger than life energy. And I think that we're gonna see, as we come into Gemini season and beyond throughout the summer, this more is more sort of sensation that's happening. And to me, it's like, very, like, Clean Girl is dead. Rip the Clean Girl esthetic. Okay.
C
I'm kind of getting freaked out by how so many things are starting to make sense. There are two shows on the air right now that include OnlyFans creators and also the trope of the 50 foot woman euphoria. And Margo's got money troubles. And these makeup looks are maximalist and It's. You said. You literally said larger than life.
A
Yes.
C
It's crazy. Crazy how the astrology is feeding pop culture, most likely unknowingly. I doubt David E. Kelly was like, you never know.
A
I mean, maybe he's a genius, but
C
I doubt that he was looking at the astrology of, you know, Jupiter entering Gemini and being. Is that right? Is that.
A
I said that. Jupiter going into Leo.
C
Sorry, Jupiter going into Leo and being like, yes. We're gonna do this whole scene about how, you know, Elle Fanning is like this 50 foot woman dressed as a space alien. You know what I mean? Like, I don't know. I just wanted to make that connection because it's really fascinating.
A
No, I mean, you will see it when you pay attention. You're going to see it everywhere, and it's fascinating. And when. Especially Jupiter, it's like when you tune into how the aesthetic changes really, from year to year in big ways and subtle ways. You track it with the progression of what's in the ether. What is the collective? What are we feeling? What are we sensing? What are we needing? And Jupiter is the response to that.
C
Are there any dates to avoid things like elective cosmetic surgeries, or do you have a particular stance on the timing of those things to astrology?
A
Thank God you asked it, because this is a very important psa. Okay, so broadly. No, broadly, like, I want people to live their lives, period. You know, I want people to not feel. To transfer their anxiety and existential dread onto astrology if we can help it. However, this year we have Venus retrograde. And this happens every 18 months. And this is the one transit that I do caution around elective surgery and big radical makeovers or beauty changes or big aesthetic purchases around. Because when Venus goes retrograde, it's going to skew our perspective and change what we like and change what our values are, which is fine. It's part of, like, our own process of figuring out what we like. But there's a unknown period, you know, like, you're. When you're sort of like, do I like this or do I like that? And is this what I want? And, you know, like, maybe my taste is going to 180 for a minute so it can meet in the middle. But if we do something like decide that we want a tiny little nose job during that time, sort of like impulsively, and you get to the other side of it, you will find yourself being like, oh, no, like, what have I done? Or if you do a radical change to your hair, which is more of what I see. You know, because usually there's, like, more planning involved with a plastic surgery. Right. But if you suddenly are like, I want to do the Bob. I want to get a buzz cut. I want to do, like, one of these, like, really crazy. I want to have a moment on the other side of Venus retrograde. You're like, what have I done? Why did I just get lowlights when that was not something that I had been aspiring to do? And, like, we love experimenting, but we also don't want to do something that is going to make us unhappy.
B
When is that?
A
It's this fall. I wrote down the dates for you guys.
C
Oh, perfect.
A
Yes. And if you can avoid doing surgery during this time, I do recommend that, too.
C
And it's 18 months.
A
It only happens every 18 months. Only happens every period is October 3rd through November 13th.
C
Okay, I can manage that.
A
Yeah. That's it. Great. No haircuts, no big purchases. Like, another thing I see. No, like, this is the time I'm gonna buy a couch. And suddenly you have this, like, couch that does not fit at all with the aesthetic of the rest of your house. But you, like, individually like that couch, and then you bring it in, and you're like, this doesn't even make sense. But I spent, like, $5,000 on it, and now what am I gonna do?
B
Interesting. So it's almost, like, impulsive, but then it actually doesn't even align with anything that you truly want.
A
Well, this is what to avoid. Right. If you find yourself wanting to do something impulsive in this time, don't do it. Don't do it. Yeah, Just wait it out.
C
Just wait and see if you still like it afterwards.
A
And you'll probably have found, like, a middle ground. Yes.
B
Okay. Is there anything happening astrologically as it pertains to trends or repeating history? So we're seeing this rise in blue eyeshadow. Is there anything that was happening planetarily in the 80s, like, when this trend was becoming popular, that mirrors what we're experiencing now?
A
You have to understand that I am a nerd. Astrologers are nerds. And I studied art history in college. I am a nerdy historian at my core. So I went down such a rabbit hole that I literally lost the plot of the whole thing. And figuring out, well, what is blue eyeshadow even signify? Like, what is it connote? Went all the way back to Elizabeth Taylor. Found myself on this journey of, like, well, what was. What was her story about? And Cleopatra, 1963. I have the whole chart for that. I went There. But what I kind of tracked through this time is recognizing that it has to do with the expression of femininity and how much we are either, like, toggling on, like, one side of the gaze or the other. And there's this correlation of blue eyeshadow to, like, sort of like, you know, either like super campy, draggy, over the top, like Divine Pink Flamingos. Right? And then also like Matilda, like the mom and Matilda. Right. And then also like the Love Witch and this like, retro revival and like, mystery and mystique and then euphoria. And all of these have to do with a play around femininity and playing with what those terms look like and signify for self, for others, for how we're being perceived. And the big tldr on it is that when we have planets that are shifting into, when we have new cycles beginning, broadly, it's a time for people to also redefine selfhood. Right? And this year, in 2026, we have so much huge astrology happening, so many planets are moving into new signs. It's like 2026 is one of the craziest astrology years because we have cycles ending that started in 2011, 2018, 2023. You know, like, there's just like, it's nonstop of like, new beginning, new beginning, new beginning. And I think that broadly what this is is like, a question for all of us of, like, how do we play with selfhood and agency and identity? And if you go back in time through these different eras and similarly big swings of astrology, big planets moving into big new signs. And I think it's this broader question of, like, how do we define ourselves? Who are we? What are we doing for others? What are we doing for ourself? Like, what's the gaze? How do we want to be perceived? And 2026 is literally all about redefining how you are and how you are being perceived and starting new cycles. And I think that blue eyeshadow, like, makes so much sense in this process of finding selfhood and femininity. Again, very long winded answer, but hopefully it makes sense. No.
C
Do you, when you say femininity, is it, like, because you were saying two sides of the coin, is it for the male gaze, for your own gaze?
A
I don't think blue eyeshadow is for the male gaze.
C
Yeah, I agree, but I. I think, like, what I'm seeing a lot of, especially in media, is there's a lot of these looks that are, I think, make women feel good. Like the Barbarella hair And what?
A
Yes. Like my.
C
Like, my favorite reference ever. Right. But then men are attracted to that. You know what I mean? So it's kind of like, are they. I mean, I think if men saw Barbarella, they'd be like, hubba, hubba. You know what I mean?
A
Sure, I would think so. But I also feel like I've had a lot of conversations recently with women realizing that they have been inadvertently dressing and doing their makeup for men without even knowing that they had been throughout their whole life.
C
In what way?
A
Well, I think that it's been this sort of, like, emphasis of, like, cuteness and sweetness and being more palatable. And I don't think that blue eyeshadow is that.
C
You're right.
A
I think that blue eyeshadow is, like, very strong and powerful and mysterious and alluring, and it's. It has confidence to it. And I think that, like, in, like, a drag space, it's like this hyper femininity, but it's still, like, campy, you know? And for women, like Elizabeth Taylor, with their blue eyeshadow as, like, a defining piece, it's like, I am beautiful for the girls and the gays. And obviously she was attractive to men too, but that wasn't her target audience.
B
Totally.
A
Even though she had, like, 90 husbands.
C
Right, exactly. So we gave Aliza our birth time, location, and date, and she has our charts in front of her. And so we figured we could personalize this a little bit since we have her here, because I think that hearing even about other people as our listeners, like, it could be helpful to them in some aspects as well. Or they could, like, apply it to their own life in some way. Yes.
A
And we want to get to know you.
C
Yes. Oh, my gosh. Okay.
B
Have you. You've gotten your chart read before?
C
A long time ago. Yes.
B
And not with someone, like, but it
C
was for a very specific reason. It wasn't like, an overall look at the chart.
B
I've never gotten my chart read before.
C
Oh, really? I cannot wait to hear a lot about Sarah. Like, I. I'm fascinated by this.
B
We're so lucky to have you here to do this.
C
Okay, so when it comes to reading charts, what's most important for you, Eliza?
A
The Everything. The totality, the complications, the nuances, the pieces of self that are multi dimensional. I think that, like, what astrology does is allow us to be complicated.
C
Yes.
A
Like blue eyeshadow. Yeah, it's the same. I mean, duh.
C
Yes. And it's not simply just being like, I'm a Capricorn, because there's so many other aspects to your chart that make you you. When you're reading a horoscope, what's the most important part for the reader to focus on or keep in mind? And I actually. Maybe this is the bigger question. Do you believe in these daily horoscopes or these newspaper horoscopes?
A
Well, as a girl who has weekly horoscopes every week on astrology, my new podcast, yes, I do. Okay. And I also think that it's important to know what they are for Horoscopes are. First of all, I think finding an astrologer who speaks in a voice that resonates with you is critical, because astrologers are translators, and you need to make sure that that translation feels like it makes sense in your life. So for me, when I write horoscopes and when I share horoscopes, it's less about prediction, and it's more of an invitation of the energy to be tuned into. And I also love storytelling, and I think astrology is storytelling. So I like to sort of weave in narrative and sort of ideas of how this can manifest or show up so that you can see how the astrology is going to play out in your life. And it becomes this sort of symbiotic relationship between you living your life and then also being like, oh, yeah, this week was about me setting boundaries, or this week was about me needing to figure out how to have this conflict. And here it is in my reality. So now I'm more prepared to navigate whatever this is. I think that horoscopes should not like everything. They are not didactic. They are not prescriptive. They're fun, and they're helpful, and they're magical. And, like, when you are really tapped in and channeling, like, where I can get to with them, you don't even know how you're pulling it. But it's like you're just. You kind of just vibe it. You know how to interpret it for that sign. And I think that there's a real art to it.
B
Yeah, totally.
C
I agree. Okay, you go.
B
Okay. Is there anything about either of our charts that explains why we're so fascinated with the beauty world?
A
Okay, so. Yes, yes, yes, yes. So, Kirby, I'm going to start with you. Okay. So. And I'm going to pull up your chart on my phone just so people don't think I'm texting. Could you imagine? So you have your sun in Capricorn, five degrees. Exactly. Conjunct Neptune at five degrees of Capricorn. Neptune is literally the Planet of the entertainment industry. It's illusion, delusion. It's fantasy, but it's glamour, honey. It's like it is giving 1940s manager.
C
I'm grinning like an idiot. By the way, if you're not watching
B
this, this is confirmation.
A
Yes. It's.
B
It's.
A
It's so magical, and it has such a deep reverence for play and creativity and immersive experiences and, like, transforming things.
C
Oh, my God. Wow. I'm scared at how crazy accurate this is. That's why I love to be mu
A
Dang and Halloween, which is so a Halloween party, right? Yes. But now that we know that it's because your son is conjunct Neptune. Exactly. It's so Neptunian. It's so like, now you see me, now you don't. You could be an illusionist, baby. Like, it's giving magician hell.
B
Yeah, Copperfield.
A
Yes. Yes, yes.
C
I've become a magician after this.
A
No razzle dazzle. Like, I love it. I love to see it. Like, I want to be entertained by you. Like, I want to go into, like, Magic Castle with you and have, like, an otherworldly experience.
C
Yes.
A
It's also very spiritual and psychic and intuitive, and we can get there, too.
B
Cool.
A
But as it relates to the beauty industry, like, it's. It's tea.
C
That's so funny. Okay, so what about Sarah?
A
So Sarah. Because we don't know. Well, yes. I'm not committing to noon as an exact time. I feel, especially since you're a little uncertain.
B
Right.
A
I'm not gonna be able to do, like, houses as much. There's a little less, like, precision with your chart that I have access to right now. But what I think is really cool is that I definitely know that your moon is in Aries no matter what time you were born. And the moon represents your emotional inner world. And Aries is the sign of the self. It's about individuality and autonomy and agency. It's about really, like, finding your emotional regulation in knowing who you are. And I think that, like, beauty and aesthetics is so much about finding self expression and, like, identifying with who you are and recognizing selfhood. How I would see your coming into it is less, like, fantastical and more like, how is this gonna help you be who you are? Yes. How can these things make you more of yourself and give you more confidence into yourself and. And let you feel like the most capable and strong, confident version of who you are?
C
I think that's also why you're so engaged with the Aapi community and, like, Asian American Girl Club and like, teaching.
B
Right. And I feel like, too, like, the reason why I ever, like, got into the editorial world in general is to help people tell their story.
A
Yes.
B
So, like, there's nothing more that I love than, like, interviewing someone and let, like, me helping, you know, spread the word about themselves. Them. So that's really interesting.
A
Yeah. You're less interested in, like, the prosthetics of it all. Don't say. And more like, how can this actually help you get back to yourself?
B
Right. Oh, I'd love.
C
This is why I can't get her to commit to learning a dance with me for a tick tock.
A
That's right. That's exactly why. Okay. This is a little less whimsy.
C
Yeah. Okay. Yeah, that.
B
That's totally 100%.
C
Is there anything about our charts that jumps out of you at all unrelated to beauty or Hollywood? Like, was there anything that you saw with me or Sarah or maybe both of us together, where you're like, huh,
B
you should be a magician.
A
Well, now there's one. Yeah. A new career path, honey. Well, there's a. There's. Yeah, there. I mean, yes, there's so much. I mean, like, where you both have Venus in Scorpio, for example. Venus is, as we mentioned, it's the planet of beauty and values. So it's definitely has a strong aesthetic connection. Connection, too. And both of you in Scorpio, you want to get into the weeds of things. Both of you are also investigators, like true supernatural private eyes. And you're like, what are the ingredients? Who's behind it? What's the story? Who's involved? It's not surface level. And for people who know makeup and beauty and aesthetics and fashion and all of this, you could think of it as a very one dimensional, quite literally surface experience. Not for you two. For you two, you're like, literally going, like, into the archives, into the files to be like, what's actually going on.
C
Yes.
B
We should have called the podcast Venus and Scorpio.
A
You still can. It's a rebrand moment. I don't know if it's as catchy, but we'll work with it. Wow.
B
Oh, my gosh. That's so cool. You're just validating us so much. Okay, what should our listeners keep an eye on? The summer and the remainder of 2026. You said it's a big year.
A
Such a big year. It's such a big year. I mean, what I have been saying and getting definitely, like a lot of pushback for, with good reason, is that nap time is over. And everyone is telling me, but I'm tired. And I'm like, I know, we all are, but this is also like, the time to change your life, period, you know? And I, I, I don't want to say it's a last chance. It's not a last chance, but, like, there's, it's very rare to see this many cycles ending and beginning in tandem. So if you want a new storyline in any aspect of your life, professionally, romantically, as it relates to where you live, your family, like, this is the year to take risks, to try something new, to experiment, because you have the ability to assign a new storyline to these new cycles. You know what I mean?
C
Yes.
A
Like, and if you're just like, I can't deal, I can't deal. I'm just gonna sleep through it, you're missing a chance to do really cool things and to redirect your life in a way that feels more aligned to what you want. So I know that we're all tired. Like, how could we not be? But, like, just like, you know, chug a red ball or something. Get together. We can do it.
C
Pull it together, people.
B
Like, if there's something you've been, like, wanting to do or thinking about, changing your job, moving, moving across the country, whatever it may be, this is the time to do it.
A
This is the time to do it. We also have a new eclipse story starting. So the eclipses are linked to Destiny Casual. And the south node represents the past. The north node is the future. They're moving on to a new axis. Leo and Aquarius, they haven't been there since 2016 to 2019. So I'm encouraging people to think back to what was going on in their life. 2016 to 2019. Think about, like, the bigger themes, the narratives, recognizing that we're gonna 180 at this time. So whatever was going on then you have a new chance to come into this time. So if there were things that you were like, this was just really, really hard. You have now wisdom and access into that. Maybe same storyline, but from a different point of view. And you can, like, get back onto that cycle and then you can feel like you actually are in control of it and you can move it where you want it to go rather than just feeling like you are at the mercy of these things. So interesting to think about that time period. I feel like, I mean, that was as I've been talking to people about it, they're like, yeah, I guess that was like kind of the last time before COVID Changed everything. It would. That was a different era.
B
Yes.
A
And we're going back to that time to redo things now.
C
It's like your do over.
A
It's your do it. We gotta do over.
C
Okay. I had this question. Would you be willing to go through each zodiac sign quickly with highlights?
A
Yes.
C
Do you want to do it for the remainder of 2026? Do you want to do it for Gemini season?
A
I did it for the remainder of 2026. Amazing.
C
Let's do it. Okay.
A
Yes. I have mine. I have.
C
Please do it.
A
Little keywords.
C
Okay. Oh, amazing.
A
Love. Okay, let me pull it up.
C
And as you're pulling it up, can I ask you. Oftentimes, when you're engaging with astrology online, they're like, read for your rising and sun. Is there a specific reason why you also read for rising?
A
So rising is. Especially if you know your rising sign, if you know the exactitude of it, you're gonna see those energies show up in that house. Okay, so it corresponds to sort of like, more thematic energy. I say always sun and rising because the rising is gonna show you more thematically what's going on, and the sun is gonna show you more energetically. And I think both are important, you know, like, you wanna know the vibe, but you also wanna know what's actually gonna happen. That's sun and rising.
C
Okay, perfect. All right.
A
Aries. Aries. Aries Identity. Huge identity year. Everything about Aries identity is changing. Should be changing. We're figuring out who we are. We're figuring out what we want. We're figuring out who we want to be with. Neptune in Aries, Saturn in Aries. It's a new era for Aries.
C
Okay.
A
Taurus. We're building our confidence back up. Alexa, the past seven years have decimated our Taurus friends.
B
That is wild. I'm scared there's such a big change in Alexa's life. So this is crazy.
C
Like, over the past seven years, crazy. Okay?
A
But the. The nightmare is over, and it's time to build it back up again and to find our confidence. I cannot.
C
Wow.
A
She just read you.
C
Wow.
B
She really did.
C
I am so happy for Alexa.
B
Wait, that's so great. For a Taurus. That's amazing.
A
Thank God they almost didn't make it.
C
Thank God for Taurus.
A
They were hanging on by a thread.
C
Lisa's looking at Alexa. I love it.
A
It's true. Gemini, we are exploring. We are exploring new ways of communicating. We are exploring where we want to live, where we want to go, what inspires us, what lights us up. Uranus just moved into Gemini. So this is about truly radicalizing yourself. I mean, Gemini are very used to this, right? They're all about sort of like, oh, I'm different than I was before. So they delight in this treat of change your life, change yourself. But it's really about leaning into the curiosity of it and giving yourself permission to experiment. Cancer. Good news. It's abundance. It's getting that bag. It's getting the resources feeling well resourced. This is your rising sign.
C
Yes.
A
So very important to know that, like, you don't have to do it alone.
C
Oh, my God, I feel so well resourced lately. Okay, perfect.
A
That you have, like, the support that you need to be able to do the things that you want to do.
C
Totally.
A
Leo is about bravery and courage and going outside of the comfort zone. Like, we love a Leo because they know when they know what they're good at, they just keep doing it. But at a certain point, we also have to try new things or else we get stale and stagnate. So LEO is going to, like, push themselves into new areas so that they can find new skills, new skill sets. For Leo, Virgo is thoughtful effort. Thoughtful effort. Not busy work, not busy, busy being. We are trying to be intentional about how we spend our time and our energy and our focus. We cannot do everything all at the same time. So that means that we have to make sure that where we direct our gaze is where we want to be looking.
B
T. Go tell Zoe.
A
Yes, right away.
C
Her five year old.
A
Right away. Yes. Libra is relationships, which is like, oh, my God, perfect for Libra. They love relationships, but also they love harmonious relationships. And relationships broadly are not always harmonious. So we also need to learn how to navigate conflict. We need to learn how to get angry. We need to learn how to stand up for ourselves and still be in a relationship even after that. Because if you're not, like, learning how to fight with your partner, how is this a partnership that you can actually exist within? Right, right. Scorpio is frighteningly about trust, which is spooky ooky, because Scorpio's already obsessed with trust. And they already are like, who do I trust? How can I trust anyone ever at all? After the last seven years, they have gone through the wringer too, with Uranus and Taurus, their opposite sign. And now they're collecting that data of who is there for them. And they're gonna bring that into this sort of elevated awareness of, like, I do wanna trust people again. So who can I trust and how can I Ensure that I, most importantly, trust myself to know when to step away from something, to know when to keep going with something. To let other people have control without micromanaging. Shocking. We're getting there. Sagittarius is art and creativity. I want to see all of the Sagittariuses writing songs, experimenting with different art forms. I want to see them on the stage. I want to see them razzle, dazzling. Like, I want to see Saga out and about, releasing things, trying things out, throwing spaghetti at the wall and then cleaning up Capricorn roots and foundation. Anchoring, anchoring down. This is very important for knowing your villain origin story, where you come from, why you are the way you are, and then figuring out which of those conditions are things that you want to continue to be on the path of, to continue those threads and which ones you're like, I'm gonna break this cycle now. And part of that has to do with, like, you looking back at your life and your stories that you tell yourself and deciding, like, which ones are actually enhancing my current reality and which ones are keeping me stuck in the past. We can all relate.
C
Yes, for sure.
A
Aquarius is connection. Aquarius is famously like, they're freak elites and they love to beat their own drums. And we all come a running because we're like, what's that? But they love to also be lone wolves and be these sort of like independent satellites that just like spin off. But this year is about recognizing that it takes a village and Aquarius with their little rat, a tat tat drum also needs maybe a bass, maybe a guitar. Like, it will enhance whatever Aquarius is up to. And then finally, Pisces is career and legacy and also like locking in to a big, big glow up as it relates to how the professional opportunities that are coming in and how they're going to be remembered.
C
Wow. Okay.
A
You're a Pisces.
C
No, Leo.
B
Oh, a Leo. Okay.
A
Pisces Moon, though. So, yes, okay, I did. I did mention I'm something for everyone.
C
Yes.
A
We love this. Whatever you want me to be.
C
Elisa, this was so fun.
A
Thank you so much.
