So many of us cry out to feel the love of God and we ask God to show Himself in our lives, yet we are born of God. Jude 20-21 - But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 1 John 4:10 - In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. We came from love, and Love chose us. Let us fulfill what LOVE has destined for us according to His Word; Ephesians 2:10 - For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

In this passage of scripture we find Elijah struggling as he was being bombarded with voices of fear, exhaustion, loneliness, and doubt. In spite of all of these distractions, Elijah heard from God because he had continually learned to listen. As we enter in a new year, I believe one of the keys of experiencing the supernatural power of God for our lives is the desire and determination to listen. As we listen to God through the Holy Spirit, he enables us to speak the right words, see God's direction and vision for our lives, and obey with proper actions. It is my and Cindy's pleasure to share our hearts and experiences with you today. - Pastor Doug
