I am so excited to share that this week only, I am running a surprise today 200k giveaway. No, I'm not giving away $200,000. I wish we are not at that level yet, but we are about to hit 200,000 downloads of her Style Podcast and we're coming up on 200 episodes in just over two years. I couldn't have imagined the opportunity that this show would open up to connect with you in this way, to be by your side every single week and to team up to make your wardrobe a more thoughtful collection of pieces that you love and feel in. That's been my mission from the beginning and it lights me up to hear that this show is helping you do just that. Aside from directly working with my clients both privately and inside Her Style collective, this podcast venture has just been the most incredible experience and I have you to thank because there wouldn't be a show without any listeners and I would just be speaking into the void. So yes, we are celebrating today. 200,000 downloads and 200 episodes in the week ahead. But even more importantly than that, we're celebrating you. And so to thank you for being an incredibly essential part of Her Style Podcast, I have a fun giveaway. I want to spoil you a little bit and extend my gratitude. So here are all the details I want you to jump in and join me in this celebration this week. Let's start with the good stuff which is the prizes of course. Here is everything that you have the opportunity to try to win this week. There are three different prizes. Third place is a $100 G card to your favorite store. Second place is a 45 minute one on one private wardrobe strategy session with me. This is a $247 value. We are going to meet together over Zoom to solve your top style challenges and drum roll. If you win first place, you are going to receive a full scholarship to Her Style Collective. This is my 90 day group coaching program. It is valued at $997 and you have the chance to get in completely free when you participate in the giveaway this week. Now you must redeem your full scholarship in 2025, but you don't have to start right away if for some reason you need to push a pause on that now, I have to say this is extremely rare. I have only ever given away one scholarship to the Collective before. It was about a year ago and so this opportunity does not come around often. So I encourage you to jump in and do your best to try to win this one. Here's what you need to do to enter this giveaway is running from today, Monday, Dec. 2, 2024 through Friday, Dec. 6 at midnight Eastern time. Again, you can qualify for entries between this Monday and Friday only, so do not wait. Here's how you're going to enter. First thing I would love for you to do is to leave a five star rating and written review on Apple Podcasts which you can also access on Android devices now. So what you're going to do if you don't already have Apple Podcasts set up on your Android phone, you could open Google CHR, go to podcasts.apple.com you're going to press on the Chrome menu and choose Add to Home screen and then finally confirm that in the window that pops up. You're then going to have Apple Podcasts installed on your Android phone, just like a normal app. You can hop in there, find Her Style podcast, leave a rating and a written review. Then you're going to take a screenshot of your review before you hit submit. If you've already left a review, it should come up for you when you click the option to write a review and then you can screenshot it and then just just click Cancel or Send to exit out of that screen. But the point is you really want to get a screenshot of your written review. You can also share her style podcast on social media or with a friend via text or direct message. However, you want to communicate with your people and take a screenshot of your share for a bonus entry. You can do this once per day for all five days this week to earn a total of six entries. So you can get one entry for leaving a written podcast review on Apple Podcasts and you can also receive five bonus entries for sharing the show on social media or with your friends once per day Monday through Friday. So six total entries. For your chance to win one of those three prizes, you can email all of your screenshots to be entered to supportherstyle llc.com you're going to want to use the subject line giveaway. Again, that email address is supportherstylellc.com you can also find the link and all the directions in the show notes for you as well. You're going to want to submit your review and share your screenshots by midnight Eastern Standard time this Friday, December 6th. Again, you can enter every day by sharing the show with a different friend or posting it to social media on Instagram, wherever you like to hang out with your people. You are welcome to tag me in your share, but that will not count as an entry. You must email your screenshots to supportherstylellc.com this is the only way my team and I will be able to keep track of the entries. I will be randomly selecting winners and announcing them in next Monday's 200th episode. And of course we will also notify you directly by email and give you instructions to redeem your prize. There's no purchase necessary. All you need to do is leave a written review on Apple Podcasts, take a screenshot, send it to supportherstylellc.com with the subject line giveaway and you can do the exact same thing for your bonus ent day when you recommend the podcast to a friend or share it on social media. I am so grateful to you for being part of her style podcast community and I can't wait to shower some of you with incredible prizes in the week ahead. Now friend, let's get into today's topic which is so fun. We're talking about making your wardrobe feel more festive for the holidays. I'm really happy to share some low or no cost options to help kick your outfits up a notch. The first thing of course this is probably a no brainer is to add accessories. Of course sparkles are also optional but recommended. This is hands down the easiest way to make your outfits more festive. I'm Very partial to some sparkle at the holidays, which you can incorporate with jewelry. Maybe toss on a rhinestone encrusted hair clip or headband. I also love scarves, and this is such a pretty way to play with your looks and add a bit of color or a fun print. There are all different ways to tie scarves onto your outfits or accessories and incorporate them into your clothing. So you could easily head over to Google Pinterest or YouTube and I'm sure you can find a million and one ideas to bring scarves into your outfits. But whatever your average accessory or jewelry level, try taking it one step further to make your outfit feel even more to the nines than normal. I encourage you to stick to your signature style and the pieces that resonate with you and represent who you are so you you can feel like the most dressed up version of yourself. But adding one or two extra accessories this season is definitely going to help your outfits feel a little bit more elevated and fun for the holidays. The next thing you can do is get playful with prints. I mean, if everyone can break out their ugly holiday sweaters this time of year, then we can certainly play around with some pattern mixing. Okay. I think anything goes at the holidays, so this is a great time to take the opportunity to experiment a bit and try some new print combinations in your outfits. Just to give your look a little extra life, a little pizzazz, a little bit of fun. You could take baby steps out and tie in some trending and seasonally relevant patterns. For example, Fair Isle is really big right now. Plaid is also super in this season. Both of those feel very wintry to me. I have a whole blog post on how to mix prints like a pro. I'm going to link that up in the show notes for you too. If you need a little bit more visual guidance on how to do this. Well, that is such a fun option to again, just add some more interest and festivity into your looks. The next thing that I would love for you to try is experimenting with textures. Satin and silk, velvet or corduroy, mohair, faux fur, lace. I mean there are so many different textures that you can try on their own or in combination. I think this can really dress up a look and again add a lot of great visual interest to what could be an otherwise simple outfit. As I mentioned, I love sparkle for the holidays. I think it feels inherently festive. So you could try layering a metallic skirt or an embellished sweater with some faux fur or some rich textured velvet. Just think about adding different textural elements to your outfit. I think it's smart to take advantage of the cooler weather if you're in the Northern hemisphere and enjoy the rich cozy textures of winter while you can. And friend if you are in a hotter climate, you might want to stick with lightweight textures, but you can still explore a lot of these for the season. I would try options like lightweight silk, lace and some metallic materials in your favorite warm weather silhouettes. For example, maybe a tank dress or camisole or a shorter mini skirt, some fun pieces like that. But no matter which way you want to go, textures are a great way to add some extra style and interest to your holiday looks. You can also try putting a spin on seasonal colors. There are a few obvious colors and color combinations that feel especially apropos this time of year. Obviously quintessential red and green, silver and gold. But I love putting a twist on some of these expected pairings. A couple of examples just to get your wheels turning. Maybe this season you want to opt for eucalyptus green and a soft rosy red. Or maybe a warmer rich olive green with burgundy. You could try dark cherry and teal. Opt for your best hues whatever you wear, and don't be afraid to take a non traditional approach to the colors of the season. I recently helped one of my sweet cousins choose some colors and outfits for her annual holiday family photo shoot and we did exactly this. She ended up wearing a beautiful wine colored monochromatic outfit. Her husband opted for a dark olive button down shirt with some light beige pants. Their sweet newborn baby son was in a soft olive overall and her daughter was in the most adorable coral pink dress complete with a tulle skirt of course. And their photos came out so beautifully. They felt really seasonal but also very unique at the same time. And I think there's nothing wrong with classic red and green for the holidays, but you could also have fun and try mixing it up a little bit this year. So try different tints, shades, pastels, jewel tones, anything goes. Just make sure that you're wearing colors that bring out your best and I think this is great because it could really open up a whole new world of possibilities within your existing wardrobe. So think about what other colors you could pull together that would give a seasonal look with a twist. I think that is such a fun option for you this season. You could also try experimenting with some other festive hues that again are going to be a little bit more unexpected but still very appropriate for the season. You might want to try an all white wintry outfit. I think that is so chic Rich jewel tones like navy and eggplant can look really elegant, especially with metallic jewelry this time of year. If you love neutrals, maybe a monochromatic camel and beige outfit would be really classic and beautiful. If you're planning to invest in a coat for the winter, I don't want you to run out and feel like you have to buy something new. But if this is already investment that is on your list, I think that is a great piece to consider doing in a bolder color. So often we're really tempted to buy the classic black or camel coat, but I think you could do a really great statement coat for the season and you might want to consider trying a rich seasonal color like Kelly green or raspberry red. This is going to make any outfit feel more festive by default, especially if you're going to an outdoor event. And I realize that this is not a no or low cost investment, so that's why I say only. If you're already in the market for a coat, maybe consider bringing in some kind of fun festive color to make all of your outfits feel a little bit more elevated and appropriate for the holidays. All right, the last tip that I have for you is to go ahead and be extra. This is the time of year to step out in the pieces that you normally reserve for special occasions only or treat yourself to one small thing that feels just a little bit excessive. So not necessarily in the dollar sense, but maybe in terms of your style. You could grab a matching scarf and mitten set and a holiday print or a fun color scheme. I encourage you to wear the faux fur vest or wrap that sits in the back of your closet all year long. Slip on the Swiss dot pattern stockings that feel really extra and a little bit more alluring. You could break out the beanie hat with the oversized pom pom on top. Go for the glittery clutch to complete your ensemble. Winter can be so dark and dreary and long and if it suits your style, don't be afraid to add some joy into your wardrobe and be a little bit extra in whatever you wear. All right friend, just to quickly wrap up, here are the things that I think you can do to take your wardrobe to the next level and make it a little bit more fun and festive for the holidays. Of course, adding a few extra accessories than you might normally wear. Sparkles optional but recommended. You can get playful with your prints. Take this opportunity where anything goes at the holidays to experiment with pattern mixing. I have a great blog article in the show notes that you are definitely going to want to check out. Also, experiment with different textures and layering textures in your outfits. Put a spin on seasonal colors. Branch out to some other festive hues beyond the go to red and greens such as winter whites, riches, jewel tones, elegant monochromatics, and of course it probably goes without saying, but this is the time to be a little extra friend. Thank you so much for spending this time with me today. Make sure that you submit your entries for the 200k giveaway this week only.
