If we are going to be disciples of Jesus and obey everything He commanded with the goal of becoming more and more like Him, we need to know what He taught and how He lived. And those things are primarily found in the four gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Four writers, four gospels, four different themes, four different purposes, written with four different audiences in mind, yet with some similarities, and all inspired, all God breathed, and all important for us to read, study, learn, and apply to our lives. The four gospels are Jesus, His Story.

Jesus gave His church the Great Commission as recorded in Matthew 28:18-20. To go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything that Jesus commanded them. We have been commissioned for mission. But staying on mission takes intentionality. Intentionality to keep it clear and ever before us. Through this series Staying on Mission, we will be going over the mission, vision, and core values of Hill City Assembly of God.
