My guest is multidisciplinary artist Kamryn Amada Gaskin, a USC grad school alum who studied digital media and has turned her knowledge of marketing and branding into a superpower for her creative and entrepreneurial work. We sat down to talk about something I personally wrestle with: MARKETING!

Kamryn defines marketing simply as the "how." How a brand tells its story. And her take on being marketable? It comes down to being as honest and true to yourself as possible. I even asked Kamryn for some personal coaching. After one of my annual premieres, what should I actually be doing? Her answer stuck with me: keep the story going. We came, we saw, we conquered and then we conversed. It's not about the moment, it's about the conversation that follows. Once the movie is over the work has just begun!

We also got into why so many creatives struggle with marketing in the first place. Her answer? Imposter syndrome. Not believing we belong in the room, and setting low standards for ourselves.
