The show is entitled, Hitting Your Mark. In theater, there are marks on the ground that us actors have to hit. You have to stand in the right spot to be seen in the right light. But I feel like it’s the same way in life. Whether it’s a dream we’re chasing, or a goal we’ve set, we all have marks that we want to hit. Those marks guide us to where we need to be. That’s what this show is all about. I’m sitting down with incredible creative people to talk about their journeys—what hitting their mark looks like.

For singer and actress Jen Rockett, “your gift will make room for you” isn’t just a Bible verse—it’s the story of her life. She didn’t chase every opportunity. Many found her. On this week’s episode of Hitting Your Mark, I sat down with playwright and storyteller Chef Beanz for a powerful conversation titled “Creating with Intention.”Beanz shared how he once worked just to survive — doing what made sense on paper and what made his parents proud, but not what made him fulfilled. It wasn’t until he discovered his passion for storytelling that everything changed. His journey hasn’t been easy. He’s faced setbacks, including a season of living out of his car. But through it all, God kept sending reminders that he was still on the right path. Now, his stage play Transparency has traveled across multiple states and continues to open doors — not just for him, but for others too. In this episode, we talk about alignment, intention, creativity, and what it really means to walk in your purpose. This one is for the dreamers.Connect with Chef Beanz! Let’s be real—if you’re waiting for someone to give you a shot, you might be waiting forever. The truth is, some of the most successful people don’t sit around hoping for an opportunity. They create it for themselves. That’s exactly what I had to learn in my own journey as an actor and filmmaker. I realized that if I wanted to see my work on the big screen, I couldn’t just wait for someone to cast me in their movie—I had to make my own. That’s how I ended up creating People, a film I’m incredibly proud of, not just because of how it turned out but because of what it represented: me taking control of my own path. But I didn’t do it alone. In this episode of Hitting Your Mark, I’m talking about the power of building a team, setting real deadlines (not just letting ideas sit in your notes app), and committing to making things happen—no excuses. Because as much as we like to think we’ll "get to it eventually," the truth is, if you don’t put a date on it, it’ll never happen. So if you’ve been sitting on an idea, waiting for the perfect moment—this is your sign. What’s the thing you’ve been waiting to start? And more importantly—when are you putting a date on it?Let’s make it happen.Follow us on Instagram! No one likes rejection. But what if I told you it’s actually one of the best things that can happen to you?In this episode of Hitting Your Mark, we’re breaking down how rejection isn’t the end—it’s a redirection, a lesson, and sometimes even a sign that you’re almost there.I’m sharing my own experiences with rejection, what I’ve learned from them, and how you can start seeing every “no” as a step toward your next big “yes.” Because that breakthrough you’re looking for could be one audition, one idea, or one post away.Keep going. You’re almost there.Follow us on Instagram! (https://www.instagram.com/atobvisuals/) Book Us On Our Website! (https://www.atobvisuals.com/)
