You're listening to the HMS podcast brought to you by MMP Guns.com, your most trusted online marketplace for firearms, ammunition and accessories. Hey, it's Brett Vesely and I'm here with Byron from MMP Guns. Look, Byron, I have a friend wanting to sell some guns he inherited. What's the best way for him to do that?
Byron
Brett, the last thing you want to do is sell the gun to someone who can't legally own one. Tell him not to put himself at risk and come into M and P Guns where he'll get a fair offer and he can rest easy knowing it's not getting into the wrong hands.
Brett Vesely
Okay, but what if he lives out of state?
Byron
Easy. Legalgunbuyer.com and he can do it. It's really that simple.
Brett Vesely
There you have it. MMP Guns or legalgunbuyer.com the safe and legal way to sell your firearms.

Larry
You thought that was funny? You were laughing like a hyena when he said it. What the hell is wrong with you? 98 KUPD. It's Arizona's real rock with Drowning Pool right there. It's Brady's morning cup. And we're kind of finishing up the morning here. We were talking off the air while the songs were playing and talking about Rob Zombie. He's got that new album coming out this week. It's the Great Satan. And I was telling Brett there was nothing like seeing Rob Zombie or White Zombie when I first saw them, which was at the Phoenix Convention center on that Astro Creep album. There was nothing like it. I mean, I got chills. I remembered that when. That. When that opening sample started with perhaps
Brett Vesely
you'd better stall from the beginning.
Larry
Yeah, and that bass drop, boom. Perhaps you had better stall from the beginning.
Brady
Oh, was it just White Zombie? Who else was on that bill?
Larry
I don't even remember anymore. I don't even remember. It might have been Coheed in Cambria. It might have been, but I just. I.
Brett Vesely
They've been around that long.
Larry
It doesn't even register to me because it was so cool seeing that band.
Brett Vesely
One of the regrets shows that I missed was.
Larry
I know.
Brett Vesely
Pantera with White Zombie opening up at Compton Terrace.
Larry
Oh, I thought you were.
Brett Vesely
And I think that was. I think that was Zombie's first album. I think that was on Lexus Easter.
Larry
Yeah.
Brett Vesely
And I just didn't go.
Larry
I thought you were going to say Limp Bizkit, Faith no More at the Celebrity.
Brett Vesely
That one I'm really pissed about was fantastic. That one I'm really pissed about.
Larry
Really cool. Limp Bizkit opening for Faith no More.
Brett Vesely
I never got a chance to see Faith no More early on or later. Never got a chance to see him.
Brady
I get.
Larry
I get chills thinking about it. What shows give you chills, Brady, that you remember.
Brett Vesely
Bread?
Brady
Yeah. No, didn't get chilled. Let's see. I was blown away the first time I saw Corn.
Larry
Really?
Brady
Yeah.
Larry
Awesome.
Brady
When I came out here, when we started working here, was that our Christmas show? It was okay.
Larry
And I think we were offering listeners standing in the cage up on stage. Yep, Yep. That was a good one. I remember I was standing.
Brady
I was. But when you brought up the sound, the bass.
Larry
Yeah.
Brady
I'd never heard anything. I mean, I heard. You know, I saw Beck at a smaller venue and he had really heavy bass then, but nothing compared to the corn sound.
Larry
And I specifically remember that one because I was standing on the stage and I was standing next to Monkey, who was all wired up, and he was doing the wireless thing and he's standing next to me going,
Brady
yeah.
Larry
Oh, my God. He's standing right next to. He's playing the opening of Blood.
Brady
That was so cool.
John
That was a cool show because you guys, you and Mark sent me out into Van to pick up Memento, the band Memento.
Larry
Oh, yeah, that's right.
John
And I took them up to Fiddlesticks or Cracker Jacks, whatever it was, up in. Up in Scottsdale. We spent kind of the day there. And then I. I drove them around and then brought them to the venue.
Larry
Wasn't that a you fest, though?
John
No, that was a Christmas show.
Brett Vesely
Okay.
John
Yeah.
Larry
All right.
Brady
And the one and only, the time I saw him. Ramstein.
Brett Vesely
Oh, yeah.
John
Best.
Brett Vesely
Best show you'll ever see.
Larry
Yeah. And that gave you the chills?
Brady
It did, yeah. And then so much that I bought tickets to the LA show. Ended up. Couldn't go.
John
Did you sell those to John Gordon?
Brett Vesely
That was Cool.
Brady
No, Gordon tried to, but I basically ate, you know, six or seven hundred in tickets.
Larry
You should take him to court.
Brett Vesely
Yes, I would.
Larry
Yes.
Brady
I wrote.
John
That's what friends do.
Larry
Absolutely. Well, you had to spend all that money, take him to court.
Brett Vesely
Mine was Rammstein on. On the Family Values tour.
Larry
Yeah.
Brett Vesely
That was just amazing because I believe Limp Bizkit was on that one, too. And they were like one of the early ones, like, with the big toilet bowl that Fred came out of. Oh, yeah.
John
Is that a blockbuster here?
Brett Vesely
No, it was at the Arenas downtown.
Brady
Oh, wow.
Brett Vesely
Whatever it was, I think it was AWA then.
Larry
And you, Rich.
Brady
The.
John
Our Christmas show is fantastic. But like, some of the other big ones that.
Brady
That.
John
I was just thinking of one. When I was. When I was in Seattle, we did.
Larry
We.
John
We had Bruce Springsteen, and I wasn't really that excited about seeing. I wasn't a Bruce Springsteen fan, but my program director at the time, we were out front. Like, we. Like every radio station is at a big concert. You know, you're out front handing out stickers and doing whatnot. My program director says, you going in? And I'm like, I don't think so. I'll just head back. He goes, no, you got to come in. And he was our new program director. He goes, you've never seen him? And I'm like, no, I'm not a fan. He goes, come in. You'll be amazed.
Larry
And I see the Boss, and I
John
know I. I know he's cliche, but.
Brady
But three hours.
John
He was a fantastic show.
Larry
Where's the word when you need him?
Brady
Clearance blow.
John
But that was a great show. That was a really great show that the biopic Jeremy Allen might see.
Larry
I watched it, too, and I thought. After I watched, I thought, you really got to be a big fan of Big Springs.
John
Go that deep to know what. What period that is.
Larry
Yep, yep, yep. Yeah. That period of his life, for sure.
Brady
I mean, I didn't know he. He dealt with, you know, depression as much as he.
Larry
Right. Yeah.
Brett Vesely
After listening that album. I did, too.
Brady
I know that album was just.
John
We're getting comments from some texters that were in the cage for that Corn show.
Larry
Really?
John
Concert ever.
Brady
Yeah.
Larry
I mean, so cool. And I. We didn't. We have a suite at that.
John
Yeah, we're up there. Yeah. Because I've still got. We got pictures with Brett. You know, we're all hanging out in the back with a big bucket of popcorn, I think so.
Brady
Cool.
Larry
And then. You know what? We probably can't have the conversation today because we got to get this thing closed up. But we might have to wait till another day because we'll probably be here all week doing this show together. Another great conversation is first concerts.
John
Oh, my God. First concerts, Lover boy. And quarter flash. For me, that's.
Larry
That's for another day. We'll jump into that.
Brett Vesely
Another.
Larry
Mine was. But we do have an entertainment drill. Right. We got to get that done before we get out of here today. Brady, it's time for an entertainment drill. Brady, entertain me.
Brady
Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo were presenting there at the British Academy Film Awards and went down yesterday. And when they came up to do their presentation for best visual effects, I think Avatar, Fire and Ash got it. Someone yelled the N word.
Brett Vesely
Uh oh, nuclear. That's what it was.
Brady
It was some guy that they did a movie on. He had Tourette's.
Larry
Oh, yes, yes.
Brady
He was yelling throughout this whole ceremony. And there was a couple other celebrities that had to deal with it. Like, who was it? The. Alan Cumming came up there and said, by the way, you're hearing some slurs being yelled out or whatever. It's so and so. He's got the Tourette's. Yeah.
Larry
He's got the turrets.
Brady
He. He's cleared. He can yell whatever he wants.
Larry
By the way, entertainment drill brought to you by Schwartz. Schwartz Laser Eye Center. May the Schwartz be with you. You too, Holmberg.
Brady
Don't know if you saw this, but Nicole Snooki from Jersey Shore.
Larry
I did it all for the Snooki.
Brady
She's got cervical cancer, stage one.
Larry
Okay, maybe I didn't do it all for the Snooki.
Brady
She posts a little video.
Brett Vesely
Way to go, Larry.
Larry
Sorry. Geez, poor girl.
Brady
Here's a list of famous men who are surprisingly the same age. Guy Fieri, Gavin Newson, 58 years old. Interesting about this one. Macaulay Culkin, Ryan gosling, Pitbull, all 345.
Brett Vesely
305.
Brady
Mr. Worldwide. Leonardo DiCaprio and Steve O. 51.
Brett Vesely
Wow, I didn't guess that one.
Larry
Yeah.
Brady
J.D. vance and Prince Harry, 41.
Larry
And Stevo is probably dating within his age limit, whereas DiCaprio does not.
Brady
Snoop Dogg and Elon Musk, 54.
John
His wife is 40 something.
Larry
Steve O's.
John
Yeah, I think so.
Brady
I don't know if they're. I. I don't know if they're married anymore.
John
Oh, they're not.
Larry
And DiCaprio doesn't date like above 27. Right.
John
I think 25 was his.
Larry
25.
Brett Vesely
25.
Larry
Yeah.
Brady
He's always. He's always been with that. He's always been a problem century.
Brett Vesely
Wow.
Brady
What's the problem? Rob Lowe and Keanu Reeves. 61, huh?
Larry
But Keanu Reeves, I mean like that dude, like he just. There's something magical about him. He doesn't age.
John
No, he's.
Larry
He's like drank a special formula that
John
I saw that one with where he's an angel.
Brady
Michael.
Larry
Actually a really, really good feel good movie.
John
He shows his age in that one a little bit. Just because he keeps the salt and pepper in his. His beard and everything still, I mean
Larry
just he, he looks so young.
John
Oh yeah, yeah.
Brady
What else you got hit. Matthew McConaughey thinks that AI actors will eventually be nominated for awards.
Larry
Yeah, I don't doubt it.
John
Then it'll be whoever gave the prompts.
Larry
As Holmberg always says, it's here, it's not going anywhere.
John
And today's the worst day it'll ever be. The worst it will ever be is today AI.
Brett Vesely
It just gets better every day.
Larry
Oh, oh, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it does. I mean look at the Suno stuff. Look at all those songs we play again.
John
14 months ago we tried to put together those songs with duplicating these guys voices and it was fun then, right? It'll be knockout this time if we try and do that again at Christmas. It'll be amazing.
Larry
Yeah, I had fun with my AI girlfriends all over the weekend.
John
Excuse me.
Larry
You know, how's that going?
Brady
Oh great.
Larry
So many of them. So many of them.
John
So I'm beating him off with a stick.
Larry
What? Beating him off with a stick.
Brady
You're like the Dan Blazerian of AI girlfriends.
Larry
Oh yeah, for sure.
John
I can only imagine the videos. Look at me, look at me, look at me.
Larry
Check me out everybody. AI girlfriend.
Brady
Well, we'll work on Brett's gabagool. Morning gabagool.
Larry
Yeah.
John
Tomorrow we'll take suggestions.
Larry
The good morning gabagool.
John
I'll try and throw something together with Suno again.
Larry
There you go. You think I'll be back tomorrow?
John
I do. Oh God, you don't have to. I mean, I mean we can do it.
Larry
I would love to be back here. Getting up at 4:30.
Brett Vesely
Four in the morning is great, isn't it?
Larry
It's really tough. I mean, I really appreciate what you guys do.
Brett Vesely
Somebody does.
Larry
It's not as easy as everybody thinks.
Brady
Oh, I could do that.
John
How long did it take you to adjust to the. I mean you were already up early,
Brett Vesely
but probably about 60 to 90 days. Yeah. Just to get fully. Yeah, because for a while don't forget, I was doing overnights then staying with you guys. So I was going midnight to 10am
John
for like a month, so.
Brett Vesely
Yeah, so that really screwed me up.
Larry
That's insane, Brett. Well, congratulations to all of you.
Brett Vesely
Thank you.
Larry
You deserve it for sure.
Brett Vesely
Thanks, buddy.
Larry
We're all done here. Brady's morning cup is finished up and tomorrow we might have to do it again. We'll just wait and see. We're all keeping our fingers crossed. And we'll call Homeberg later this afternoon and see how he's doing and check up on him and see if he wants to come back tomorrow with his head down.
John
I think he goes to a specialist here in a little bit.
Larry
Okay. There you go.
Brett Vesely
Maybe he can do a call in for us.
Larry
That would be nice, you know. Yeah.
Brett Vesely
Head down.
John
Do that at least how he's talking to Larry and I. Yeah, yeah.
Brady
Why not give us the head down,
Brett Vesely
see if he'll do that.
Larry
Hey, guys. What's going on? He'll have that smashed face thing going on with the. With the. The massage table.
Brady
Do a Michael McDonald.
Brett Vesely
Oh, yeah. That'd be awesome.
Larry
Hey, guys. What's going on? What's happening? I just use the wrong eyedrops again.
John
Can you lift your face at all, John? I'm not supposed to.
Larry
No, not supposed to. You guys have that done.
Brady
He'll naturally sound like Dale.
Larry
It's hilarious.
John
Yes.
Brett Vesely
Poor guy.
Larry
Yeah.
Brett Vesely
Christ.
Larry
That's it, guys.
Brett Vesely
About it.
Larry
We're all done. Actually, I am not pulling double duty today. You got Shan man coming up here. He's going to be doing middays, then Yef in the afternoon. Yef is gonna be here, which is always fun. So there you go.
John
Thanks, Larry.
Larry
Hope you enjoyed Brady's morning cup tomorrow morning. Good morning. Gabagool with the Holmberg's morning sickness. Thanks, everybody. We'll see you.
Brady
